When we had our six-year toast anniversary party, we gave a speech, and then we were thinking everyone, our partners and our families. Then we thanked each other. I remember I had thought of the line before. I said, I forget exactly what I said. I have it on camera somewhere. I said, at the time, it was mom of two. Mom of Two. Mom of... Oh, Two, yeah. Mom of Two, Mother to All or something. It was really insightful.

Wait, I love it. That's such a great Instagram bio for me. Maybe I've graduated from being like Gen Z's big sister.

To being like the Gen Z's mother. The father figure we all need.

For sure. I love that. I think I have morphed. I will. That's a really cute bio. What did you say again?

I actually don't remember what song it was, but it was the most amazing rendition. Philip Phillips is insanely talented.

You feel like you would have said that you didn't know that it was Philip Phillips. When you still thought it was just anonymous Pug Casa.

Yeah, well, the thing is- Anonymous Pug-Casso. With ordinary, it was bothering me how good his cover was. Talent reigns supreme. That's always been a philosophy, a core tenet here of the toast. Like the cream rises.

It's true. The cream rises and does. It does. Happy for Pug Casa, that you finally turned a corner.

Whoever Pug Casa is, we have to have them on the toast when all of this is getting done.

Today's episode is so great because we have so many stories. The train is Alley, we throw away the season on traders again.

Do we have to wait till the end to recap Trader's? Yes. Because it's the number one thing in my mind. Did you watch the reunion?

I did, and I want to go out on a limb and say, Trader's is not a show that needs a reunion. I thought that it was. I did not watch the whole thing. They were bringing out tears of people. I didn't wait for the final tear. It was so unserious after the show was made. The show, what I like about it, it's very dramatic. It's theatrical. We're burning coffins. It takes you a minute when it's over to be like, This is just a game. It's so serious. It's so serious.

It's weird to know how to react. Do we love Rob? Do we hate Rob?

But I'm saying regardless of wherever you landed, they just make it so serious. I think that they lock people. It's very much like a psychological experiment. You are cut off from the world. And then you go to the reunion, which was so unserious. It was such an anticlimactic come down. I don't know. I wish they released the reunion maybe next week. I did not like watching the reunion after the finale. It felt like, okay, so that was all like, faking a game, and it was so Why did I get invested?

It was just so late. I turned it off in the middle. It was 11: 15. I didn't even know if you were watching it, and I was like, I have to- Oh, 11: 15.

No, I didn't make it that far.

I have to prioritize my mental health.

I wanted to see Mora talk to... Sorry. We'll save it for the end.

But Also, it's crazy that they dropped the reunion right after the episode for Love Island. They had the reunion two months after the episode. Have you ever heard of a week, Peacock? Have you ever heard of just one week?

Not only that. If you had waited literally one more week, Johnny and Tara, two very important characters, could have joined not from Milan. It was so janky.

I actually thought it was not- The way they were introducing people like Colton sitting on a big couch by himself, it was so weird, the layout. I feel like everyone does reunions now, and no one really knows how to do them except for Andy and housewives. And this got that treatment. I was like, okay, good. Like a normal reunion. And honestly, I know I knock Andy a lot. I have a lot of shit to talk about him, but nobody does a reunion like him. And I don't know what talent that is, but it just is so smooth, and the questions are answered, and we get to the need to know information.

I mean, he's done it so many times. He has that over other people.

I don't know why no one else can do it.

I know.

No one else can do it. It's like something that will die with him.

You have to be willing to start stuff, but also totally affable and have people open up to you. You have to have balls to say some of these questions.

And you have to have seniority because you can't have balls without senior.

It's like, who are you to ask me this?

Relevant. Right.

Yeah. No, it's an art, and he's mastered it completely.

I don't know if we've seen a reunion. I can't even think about it. Like, Ariana did Love Island. And it just does- They keep bringing new people to new secret lives. Oh, and he helped her with that. Remember?

He had to come in. Yeah. They also keep trying new people for the Secret Lives of Morgan Wives. It's hard.

But I can't judge Stacey on how she hosts a reunion because that was not a reunion. That was a Duncan's Refresher commercial.

It was terrible. That was not a reunion. Agreed 100%.

The It's the heart of the reunion. It's going to be lost.

I think people thought nick Vial was too biased, which it's very hard not to be.

It was all great. You know what? I love a restaurant that's quick. I was so tired. We both were like, We can't cancel. We can't cancel. Staying up past bedtime to go to dinner, we were like, We can't cancel. We can't cancel. We were I'm so tired. And it was traitors. I just wanted to get in my cozy. But we were like, We are doing this fucking date night, and you're going to like it. And so we went, and they sat us early. The dinner was literally under an hour. They had the fastest service ever. The food was delicious.

Are you glad that you went? When you were sitting here- Tens across the board. When you were sitting there where you're like, I'm glad we did this.

Yes. Actually, I hadn't seen Ben all day. We had a lot to catch up with. I told him about Majang and stuff with work, and I got like... And it was good. It was like, I understand why people do day night. I feel more connected. Oh, How good. I was so tired. I was wearing the same outfit and makeup that I put on at 9: 00 AM. I felt disgusting. But you know what? Day night.

Okay, good. I'm glad because sometimes when you go out, it's just like, I shouldn't have done this. This was the worst of my time. I need those hours back, traders, et cetera.

Then everywhere here has ballet. The ballet- And there you go, has ballet. There was this couple fighting so badly, this older couple in whispers, but I was standing right next time. It was probably the best part of the night, living. She was so mean.

What was the Something about real estate.

He must have made a mistake. And she was like, And now we have to list it for a million more, or something. I know she was so fucking scary. And I'm like, I just knew she was right. And he was just withering away, like coming into himself. And I'm like, Keep going, girl. Go. I just knew. Like, I just knew. Wow. Yeah.

Do you know that? We're spending the weekend with our little sis.

Sat. She came to my house last night. That's also I had to start Trader's Day because she came at 8: 30.

And a good host to put out a spread.

And I needed to see my little sister and catch up with her.

But in fact, how many I never need my family because I'm always with my family.

No, I don't because I'm with. But you are with. You can't crave something you have. I feel like you- Isn't that beautiful? Oh, sure. Because you can't lose something you never had. If you insist, it's beautiful. It is. Once again, not respecting my calls. I'm so used to it at this point. I saw this scathing exposé on ballerina Farm this morning on TikTok. It was so frustrating.

They found her... I guess ballerina Farm started as a blog, which was very much an innermost diary of her thoughts. At a very crucial time in her life, she had just left New York. She had just left Juilliard. She got married. She had kids young. They were living in Brazil. She was just writing a lot about in the early days of motherhood, a lot of times she just feels like a cow and a counter cleaner. It's crazy how much has changed in her life being like, Look, they tore her dreams from her. She can't be a ballerina. And it's like, No, that's just called being a mom. It was not that deep.

It's just called life changing.

No, it's called growing up. You have very tough choices to make as a woman.

And juggling the person you were with the person you're becoming. And yeah, you have to make sacrifices. It's hard. It's the hardest job in the world.

Yeah. I was pleased to see the comment section was pretty much on my side. Just being like, We have to stop seeing her as this perpetual victim. She does have agency over her own life. She does. She's okay not being a ballerina because she's a grown woman now, mom of eight.

No, and ballerinas have to grow up.

Ballerinas grow up, too.

You know what I mean? You can't be a ballerina forever.

I don't know. That Misty Copeland, she is ballerining. She's crushing it.

She's always there. But there's only one Misty Copeland. It's so true. There's thousands of ballerinas who had to give up the dream.

And only one Misty Copeland.

I would say she's probably the second most famous ballerina right now.

Yeah, but not for her dancing.

No, she She would start dancing on Instagram if she wanted to. We would love that. She sometimes does. If she was doing twerls around the farm. She does. She can literally do whatever she wants. The world's a stage.

She literally has a stage on her compound.

And on her Instagram.

If we had a compound, We would obviously have multiple dwellings, right? Our main home. We would have, of course, a state-of-the-art podcast studio. I would like maybe a recording studio for music. Of course, we'd have a garden. What other dwellings would we have? She has a ballet studio.

Right. So there she is, living her dream.

What dwellings would you wish for on our compound? I feel like you'd need a crafts room where you could just do all your- Like Craig has. We would need a test kitchen, of course, for Ben.

Oh, yeah. We need a studio kitchen for Ben. You know people have a gift wrapping room? Oh, we need a game room.

Yeah, like a ribbon. Oh, we need. We need a game mansion. I need multiple rooms.

Yeah, we need a game house, and then one house in that one room in that house is for Maj. Because I don't want people with their other games.

Smally old games. But, yeah, people have gift wrapping rooms in their house. How many gifts are you wrapping?

Yeah, I know. I'm not a huge gift giver. When I am, it's like, I'm not wrapping it either. Unless you're going to kids' parties. Kids' parties, I feel like you have to wrap.

Yeah, you do. But it's like, let's... Kids' party gifts. It's like everyone just ran out to CVS and bought someone a of crap. And it's like, I don't need it.

I do feel like kids' parties also, you save all the gifts.

And then you re-gift them. You give them to other people. When someone doesn't give me a gift for a kids' party, I don't notice it. It doesn't bother me. And I hope that I'm extended that same grace karmically if I ever arrive to a party and I didn't bring a gift.

I think that in my future, I will be doing giftless. Like, please don't bring gifts.

I went to a party recently, and on the invitation, it said, Please I don't bring gifts.

Just what I need more crap in my house.

And I was like, That is such a slay.

I forgot about this story. I just want to say we were talking about it every day for a week.

As Netflix backs out of the Warner Brothers bidding and Paramount is set to win the bid. So in a stunning twist, Netflix is CEO says the major studio was always nice to have at the right price, not a must have at any price, as Paramount continues to increase their bid. It went into the hundreds of billions of dollars, and Netflix has officially bowed out, which leaves Paramount the last man standing to acquire Warner Brothers Discovery Co.

Hbo. It was like, so an underdog, right? I feel like when we were talking about it, the deal was already moving forward. I feel like these are the types of deals that have to be approved by the government. So they were moving forward and Paramount was like- And they sent out an email to their subscribers. Oh, yeah. I got an email from Netflix being like, Welcome, HBO. They really got ahead of themselves. Based on what I had read, the Paramount deal financially was better from the very beginning. So I wasn't sure why they didn't get it. And then there was back and forth for a week or two, and then I never heard. So I actually thought about it the other day. I'm like, Oh, I guess they just got it. We never got a summation of the whole thing. And I guess the streaming wars are very much back on. Yeah. Because now they're a conglomerate in the making, Paramount. They have MTV, CBS, VH1. Now they have HBO.

Viacom.

Viacom, yeah. So I guess we're back.

Hbo Discovery. Discovery. Discovery Plus. Bring back Discovery Plus.

Oh, you know Discovery Plus is very much alive and well. Every time we talk about the streaming wars, we're like, And then remember Discovery Plus? They literally keep leaving comments on our Instagram being like, Hey, we're still here. I'm like, Oh, okay.

Well, I guess they're now going to be folded into Paramount Plus.

And HBO will be folded into Paramount Plus. I feel like they need a new name to... They need just a- Fresh. A fresh name that's not tied to any one of these players.

I'm feeling like, I don't know when the last time I renewed my Paramount Plus. It was probably for Yellowstone.

And I I have a feeling I'm going to need that again because a lot of my HBO shows, seems like they might be there, or they're going to keep them separate. I have no idea. I think one- HBO Max just can't go through another app. We're on our fourth app. But I think they are about to go through another one and has to be their final destination.

Listen, they're struggling with their identity, and you have to give them space. It's true. To understand who they are. Right, and what they are. But now they've just been adopted by Paramount. So maybe they don't have to make these hard decisions anymore because they obviously couldn't handle it.

Well, congrats. I feel like this is a true underdog story.

It is, but it's also the richest company, the one willing to pay the big bucks. The money was green. And also at a certain point, I guess, HBO, Warner Brothers, wanted to go with Netflix. They're a little swankier than Paramount. Of course. And then they wanted to be in the Netflix family. But at a certain point, they can't not take the most money deal because for their shareholders, it's like, Well, the money is green.

When you're a publicly traded company, you legally have to take the best financial offer. So that's why it got so dicey. And then became hostile at one point. Yes, hostile takeover. There was hostility. So for Netflix, it would have been nice to have all these HBO shows. But Netflix is so far above all the other streamers in terms of subscribers. I think they're crawling towards 300 million users, and everybody else is barely has 100 million. So for them, yes, it would have been nice. They didn't need to pay an insane price for it, and that's what the CEO is saying, and he's right for that. Whereas Paramount, they were very much on the precipice of dropping out of the streaming wars. I don't know anybody who actively watches Paramount+.

Now it's game on.

Everybody's trying to be better and hopefully have better content.

Lower prices. And impress me.

Lower prices. If Netflix had gotten HBO, they could have raised their price and literally, nobody could have done anything about it.

So I feel like now there's three biggies, right? Netflix, which has everything. Hulu, Disney, ABC, ESPN, they're pretty good. And Paramount and HBO now. Warner Brothers, whatever you want to call it.

Yeah, I feel like we're forgetting.

Peacock is somewhere in the world. Yeah, we are. Peacock actually is somewhere in the world. They do a pretty good job.

And YouTube TV.

That's cable. That's not a... That's old.

It's not cable.

But they don't create original content on YouTube TV. They're just streaming all the shit you can find on Netflix and everything.

Okay, but it's doing something.

I don't know where YouTube TV is. I can't think like that. I don't know.

I really don't know. It's not cable. It feels like cable. It's like digital cable. Yeah. I don't know. Everyone at a certain point, they all need to get together. The way that we're living right now is not sustainable. It's insane. Eventually, I think they'll all come together and have channels. Like a TV. But yeah, the bifurcation of our nation- Of the streaming, of media is actually crazy. The way we live going from app to app and getting logged out in the different households.

One day, our ancestors will look back and be like, I can't believe they had to do that.

Our descendants will really feel sorry for us the way that we lived like cavemen. It's so true. It's the way we feel about the cavemen. It's insane what we do. It's insane. I can't watch the next season of JFK, the next episode. Why? Because I'm locked out because of my household.

It also hasn't come out yet, or it came out at like, midday last night.

I'm still waiting. I'm one behind. I still have to watch them.

Oh, you still have one more episode of cracking up. Now you're going to have to.

Maybe I'll watch it next year. Okay. No, I guess I'll put down roots at Hulu, but I just hate to give them exactly what they asked for.

Fifth and final, traitors recap. Oh, my goodness gracious. Okay, so spoilers here on Foward. Rob won the traitors in an insane way. The whole game came down to Maura. From the first roundtable of last night's episode, if she had voted with Tara and Johnny, even to get out Eric, then Tara and Johnny could have gotten out Rob.

I am feeling so conflicted because I was getting so mad at Maura. All she had to do was make one decent decision for the last three episodes. There were so many pivotal moments where a decision of hers could have changed the whole game. And time after time, she just kept disappointing me till the very fucking end. And you know what? Shout out to Tara and Johnny for the first time in the final episode, actually having a good idea and just trying to get her to go for Eric.

She couldn't even do that. No, and it's like she knew Eric was a traitor. There was no doubt in her mind that Eric was a traitor, but she didn't think Rob was one. She didn't think Tara was one. And Tara was unsure about not confirmed. But anyone would have known that Eric was a traitor. He was the only one who was behaving broadly, and he wouldn't have made it that far if he was a faithful because he just would have been a random kill. So at the first roundtable, banish the person that you know is a traitor. That seems like an easy one. And then let's deal with something else. I can understand why at the end, she couldn't pivot from trusting Rob. It's like when you're playing Majung and you're going with the hand the whole time, and it's like, at the end, you realize you might not win that hand, but it's too late to switch. You have to rethink everything that you know.

Of course, but there was three votes before that where she could have just made a better decision. I wanted to shake her, and I was so excited for Rob to tell her that he was a traitor because I'm like, Yeah, you deserve it. When I tell you, I felt the total opposite. It was devastating to watch.

It was heartbreaking.

They also cut the music. You could hear a pin drop. I actually felt- You saw the light go out of her eyes. I felt like in that moment, I felt like this show was a mean prank. It was just devastating. Even at the reunion, she just kept saying, I'm so dumb, I'm so dumb, I'm so dumb. You can't even fault Rob because nobody did anything wrong. You get selected as a traitor.

It just makes you feel like, what's the point of the show?

Like, to have someone to be the best liar, I guess when the faithful is when it feels really good, but when a traitor turns on the person that they were closest with, it's like, Oh, cool. You just gave someone trust issues for the rest of their life. Congrats.

Yeah. And I guess it was meaner for Rob to have also banished Eric because then Maura really thought that they... Remember, they were hugging in the kitchen. It's going to be us. It's going to be us. So it was us. So she thought, For sure. I guess it was just for the money to banish Eric.

Yeah, and Maura was going to kick- It was savage, but I'm glad he turned on Eric because he turned on all his other traders. And like he said, Would you give $100,000 to someone you met three weeks ago? I would. I'm like, Yeah.

He's $100,000. And I agree. I think it was actually one of the better things he could have done for his image because this whole time we've been like, him being so loyal to this rando after kicking both Lisa and Candice to the curb. It's giving misogyny. But you know what? It's not. But it's not.

It's giving, We're getting down to the wire and I need these votes. Yes. No, he couldn't have turned on Eric. That vote, it became only up to more. Every single person was so critical. Oh my God. I had chills throughout my body. I wanted to start crying. I know. I felt like I couldn't breathe.

Just awful. Yeah. Now, the reunion, I really felt like, again, I don't wish I watched it right after the finale because the The finale was so high stakes, right? We were having these intense feelings of sadness and betrayal. And then the reunion was just so stupid. Everyone was laughing. I mean, it is just a game, but the show, the way it's edited, the whole Scottish Castle and the Fire, it's so dramatic that I don't know, I just felt like I wasted all my time because the reunion was so jokey. And I don't really feel like I got anything out of the reunion because you can't really be mad at someone. It's a game.

Yeah, but I think there were a lot of loose ends and people saying things about other people. It It's fun just to see everyone again and see some of the people that we missed and having them back on our screens and all the drama between the traitors. Seeing Donna, when they brought out the traitors, I'm like, Why are there five people? There's three traitors. It's Eric, it's Rob. No, it's Rob, Candice, and Lisa. Then Donna being there was funny. Of course, he had to ask her about Taylor, and you know she wanted to die. I know. Her face fell. It did. She was looking to the left and the right. She gave her best answer.

I don't think her face fell because I think sometimes She doesn't want to say the wrong thing. I think because it was like, Can it just be about me for three seconds?

I felt the complete opposite. It's not that I don't want to talk about the thing. It's just like, I don't want to say the wrong thing. Why can't we... It's just annoying. No, I thought it was the opposite. I thought it was the opposite. But then Colton v. Lisa Rinna.

I wanted to wait around to see that, and then I did turn it off maybe 5 or 10 minutes later. I feel like Lisa took internet stuff and ran with it, but it was the first time we've ever had to hear Colton talk about that time with So I really appreciate Lisa doing that. He said words, and then he also similarly echoed those words. He was interviewed in Vanity Fair.

I was just reading that.

I didn't get through it, but the author- It was word fucking salad.

He said he's speaking so generally. It was a bad time in his life, very similar to what he said on the reunion, no real substance.

The author was clearly very sympathetic towards him, even before his answers or everything like this was meant to be a redemption. I don't know. When he was in the reunion last night- Did you see him sulking afterwards?

After that conversation with Lisa, he was literally like a kid who had a tantrum. He was sitting on the couch, shoulder slumped. He didn't really speak anymore and his eyes diverted. He was so mad.

Yeah, but I felt like he did as good of a job as he could have at defending himself because he's just been totally dragged through the mud, his name, everything.

But he won't say it. Even in the Vanity Fair article, he's like, and he said last time, It must be confusing for people who saw me on The Bachelor in 2019, and then now to six years later seeing me here. Well, why don't you talk about what happened in between? That's not why we're confused. We know you're gay. Nobody cares. He's just being so vague.

Yeah, he is. And what also bothers me is like... And he said in this article that he had an agreement with Peacock that no one would bring up this stuff. And this stuff obviously made audience members the entire time, just very uncomfortable. And it's like the elephant in the room. I just can't help but think about Cierra, how she was booted from Love Island.

Oh, my God. I'm cracking up.

You know what I mean? When they elected to put him on the show. Yeah. So knowing all this stuff is in his bath.

I don't think that they thought people really cared that much. It's in this random scandal.

But that's why it's just so phony. It's like what Cierra did versus what Colton. Where Cierra said the wrong thing and felt and apologized on my immediately. At the time. And he's also just younger and then nobody. They just completely threw her under the bus for the sake of the audience. But they'll stand up and knowingly go in with Colton be like, We're not going to talk about the thing, even though we know you did the fucking thing.

Yeah, no. Giving him that assurance that it's not going to be brought up. Who gets That protection.

And then they put out that statement about bullying for him. That's weird. And I'm just like, What about Sierra? So true. That bothers me. Just be consistent. If we're not having people who have messed up- Who have scandals. Who have scandals, who have things that the audience has done. It's of like, hang on to, if you don't want any of that, then be consistent with that. That's fine. But protecting Colton and putting him on the show in the first place- Mind you, what Colton did, I'm sorry, is 10 times worse than what Sierra did. I understand he was going through a hard time, but are we giving grace or are we not giving grace? And then putting out a statement, the way the internet came for Sierra.

Jackie, just think about it in the context of this season of traitors. The way the internet, the Cut magazine, wrote an article of Michael Rappaport is ruining traitors. Michael Rappaport is not a criminal. He's just fucking annoying. And now he or he is being profiled in Vanity Fair as some victim. It's absurd the grace being given to him by Peacock by Vanity Fair. Who gets interviewed by Vanity Fair? Who is he? Ronan Farrow? It's insane.

Yeah, this is what the author wrote. Throughout our conversation, he addresses some of this in a contrite and careful manner, tripping over words and phrases in a genuine attempt not to make another misstep. That's just so- Can this girl interview me? It's a man.

But anyways, I thought Lisa Rinna, she was obviously speaking for the internet, but I thought- What did you mean when you said people were doing cocaine in your bathroom? I think he really handled her because she was obviously just trying to poke. It wasn't a serious question? No. She was just like, wanting to bring it up. Wanting to have a moment. Then he was like, You said you were going to slip my fucking throat. We were going to speak- Oh, sorry.

He handed it to her in that statement.

He ate with that. That's what I also said. Everyone keeps being so sensitive at the round tables and stuff. When Michael Rappaport said, You have a secret. Right.

So stupid.

It's like, you all are talking about killing each other. You literally put Mark Ballas alive in a coffee.

And then when I saw them all get back together yesterday, I think I realized it actually wasn't a good cast.

I don't know. Because not everyone can be big personality. They need a range.

I think it will be good when it's unknowns. Same. Because the way that they get people out early who are gamers, like Rob C or whatever, the guy who called the conga line, I wanted to see. He It would have been amazing on the show, but we obviously can't get smart people. When they don't know each other, it will be better.

Smart people won't be targeted.

If you're crushing it on TikTok, you will be everywhere. And something about her has not penetrated past the internet. Now, the internet is very powerful. She's a successful person. She has a lot of streams. But when it comes to actual cultural impact, when we talk about the pop girlies, she ain't there.

And I've told you why. Why? The music is not good enough. She needs to be making supermarket music, and it's not. If you want to be a major pop diva, your music has to be for everyone, whether we know you or not, and you're just playing everywhere.

And then I saw a funny clip on TikTok about how Katie Perry is in the Keya asylum, and she thought dating a Prime Minister would get her out, but she just brought him in.

She thought she would be part Yeah, but it's like, no, now he's there, too. That's funny. She's too big, actually. Yes.

So she might eclipse it only because she has this insane catalog.

She's just on house arrest now. Yes. She will always have been a major... The girl. It can be over for her is the thing. If she wanted it to be.
