Good morning, girlies, it's The Toast. It's Jax and Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's The Toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast. Happy Friday. Friday, you guys! Today is a celebration because it's Friday. We have one of our most popular co-hosts of all time subbing in for Claudia, and we have Bruno in studio. So today is a threefer. Welcome to today's co-host, my little sister, Margo Ashray.

00:00:49

Hello everyone! I'm so jealous that you have Bruno. I should have brought Mags.

00:00:54

But you should have. I actually didn't plan to bring Bruno, and I never bring him. This is the first time I've brought him. I can't even remember the last time he was on the show. But as I was driving to work this morning, as I was leaving the house, I saw like Zach walking Bruno, and I pulled over and he was with the boys. So I was like, oh, hi. And then Bruno was just like being Bruno, and Zach was like, you want to take him to work? I was like, yeah, I do want to take him to work.

00:01:15

But you didn't want to take his harness off?

00:01:18

No, I didn't take his harness off, and now I can't because I don't want him to get up. But yeah, there's been like A lot of rumors about Bruno. Yeah, talk to me.

00:01:25

His health. How's he doing? 'Cause I was—

00:01:27

He's doing amazing.

00:01:28

Worried this summer.

00:01:30

He always gives everyone a fright in the Hamptons. The Hamptons do not agree with Bruno. He is the worst, fattest, laziest version of himself. But the moment we got home, like, he's back to the old Brew. He's back.

00:01:41

Okay.

00:01:41

Bruno, headline.

00:01:43

Are you just like saying that to like tell yourself that or like— No.

00:01:46

Okay.

00:01:46

No, no, no, no, no.

00:01:47

Everyone says it. Bruno is back.

00:01:50

Bruno is back, point blank period.

00:01:53

Point blank period. I look forward to the next time you connect with him.

00:01:56

I look forward to the next time I connect with him as well, 'cause you know he really loves me. He loves to come in my bed and I really love Brew, but he makes me upset.

00:02:05

And he's a crazy individual, but he's living his best life.

00:02:09

He's a crazy individual.

00:02:12

He is.

00:02:12

It's so true.

00:02:13

Well, you guys, Margo is here and I didn't wanna like overhype it, but I meant what I said 'cause I was saying, Claudia's out today. I was thinking of like who I wanted to co-host with me and like who were some of the most popular co-hosts when I did Claudia's maternity leave. Yeah. And Margo's episode, I think the shot, this, the episode was called like Sachi Catching Strays, something like that.

00:02:35

Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I was catching strays.

00:02:37

And it was literally one of the most popular episodes of the maternity leave. And then people were reminding me like, oh, is it? 'Cause I said it's the most popular host for maternity leave. and they were like, is it Jessie from Secret Lives? 'Cause actually I do think hers was like the most listened to.

00:02:53

Fair enough.

00:02:53

Because it was like so buzzy.

00:02:54

No, fair enough.

00:02:56

So second most popular co-host.

00:02:58

No, I like, that's an honor. I'll take like top 5. 'Cause it's like, you know, I'm not like special. Like I'm your sister. It's not like I like have like really any major like tea to give. So it just means that people just enjoy our banter and that's lovely.

00:03:10

Yeah, and I think you're one of the closest personalities like to a regular episode of The Toast is what it is. Correct, I was. You know, 'cause I was ready to go to the studio, bring in a guest, you know, come my people. peeps in Miami.

00:03:22

Yeah.

00:03:23

You know, but I was like, wait, they just want like swirly vibes.

00:03:26

They just want swirly vibes.

00:03:27

I'm so happy you're here today. And I'm a sister. I'm so happy you're here today because it's like gonna be a big Taylor day. And if not Claudia, like you are the right person to talk to.

00:03:37

100%.

00:03:38

So given like the circumstances, we couldn't have a better co-host. I haven't spoken to you since the Hamptons. I don't think I've spoken to you like on FaceTime. We've like texted here. I had texted you asking if you could do the show today, but like. I haven't spoken to you since the Hamptons.

00:03:54

No, we've recorded Redheads.

00:03:58

That's really bad. And it's like, of course it's a two-way street.

00:04:02

Yeah, it's actually a two-way street.

00:04:05

You— if I never call you again, like, you will never call me again.

00:04:09

But if I will never call you again, you will never call me.

00:04:11

No, I would. I would call you, and you know that. But like, I also am like extremely busy. I moved into a new house. No, no, by the way, chicken bone, like, I have Like, no problems with you.

00:04:21

Like, I totally get it. You have so much going on.

00:04:24

No, no, of course you don't have problems with me.

00:04:26

I'm saying— But it sounds like you have problems with me. But like, I'm also so busy.

00:04:30

Like, does it not make you sad that you haven't spoken to your favorite sister at length in a while?

00:04:33

No, it does. But I'm also just thinking about like, I don't know when I would have had the time. Because then once I do eventually have the time and I'm in bed, like, I don't want to fucking nap. Like, I just want to lay in bed.

00:04:41

No time to call your sister. You know, actually, I didn't even realize until right now And it's been a really crazy month, but it's kind of disgusting and unprecedented how long we haven't like had a catch-up for. So you guys are gonna be privy to our catch-up.

00:04:54

That's true, that's true.

00:04:56

Which is fun for you. And by the way, like, no, there's nothing like, there's nothing betwixt us negative or anything like that.

00:05:02

I just— Oh, should we start beef? Like, let's start a rumor.

00:05:05

People are gonna hear that. People are gonna hear that and think like we don't like each other because—

00:05:09

No, no, totally. Oh my God, I kind of love that. Like, yeah, like people like think that like the sisters are like beefing. Like, that's like tea.

00:05:15

Yeah, it's like so Kardashian.

00:05:17

Yeah, totally. It's like, oh my God, like Jackie and Margaret don't like each other.

00:05:20

Because we're so up each other's butts, like there's never been any space for rumors like that.

00:05:25

It's so true.

00:05:26

Because we love each other so much.

00:05:28

Also, not for nothing, like there is a group chat that's constantly going on. It's not like we've never been— we're not in communication. Like we are constantly talking every day. It's just in different formats.

00:05:37

And we know, like, like if you have an update and I have an update, it's in like— I know, but One-to-one.

00:05:42

One-on-one. We haven't spoken. We haven't had a touch base in a while.

00:05:45

We haven't. You should come see me. Oh, we did when you called me, actually. You called me about Bruno Mars.

00:05:51

I did, I did.

00:05:53

We were thinking about going to Bruno Mars. Like, Bruno Mars has always been performing September, Miami. Like, we're going. And then the week before, Margaret was like, are we going? And I was like, no. And I, I do wish that we went.

00:06:02

I didn't see one thing from that. I haven't seen one thing from his tour, come to think of it.

00:06:06

I saw, because, um, Someone sent me videos from the show in Miami and like it looked amazing and we should have been there, but it was the day before Yom Kippur and it was just a lot.

00:06:14

It was just a lot of time.

00:06:15

And Bruno swallowed a chicken bone. I have 3 kids, so—

00:06:18

Bruno swallowed a chicken bone?

00:06:19

Oh yeah, have you heard of this? It was like so many weeks, it was like 2+ weeks ago now, so I think we're in the clear. He swallowed a chicken bone, which is so bad for dogs.

00:06:29

And then what?

00:06:30

Nothing.

00:06:31

Did he like poop it out?

00:06:33

Nope, we kept calm and we carried on.

00:06:35

So like, in that event, do you take him to the vet or you just like pray for the best?

00:06:39

No, unless he's giving me cause, unless he's like, you know, not being himself.

00:06:44

Making noises.

00:06:45

Yeah. Or, you know, sometimes we look at him, we're like, there's something wrong with Bruno. Um, but he was like fine.

00:06:50

That's what I was gonna say.

00:06:51

Yeah, no, there was nothing. There was nothing.

00:06:53

His birthday's coming up. Yeah.

00:06:55

His birthday was in August.

00:06:58

What? Oh, but you got him in October.

00:07:00

His gotcha day's coming up, yeah.

00:07:02

Oh, oh, oh, oh, I always associate him with October. Got it, okay.

00:07:05

Oh, that's so cute.

00:07:06

Yeah. Yeah.

00:07:07

That's so cute. Well, what's new with you? I know you just wanna talk about Bruno. What's new with you? I shouldn't have brought him, he's a distraction.

00:07:14

What's new with me? Nothing really to share with you publicly online, you know?

00:07:20

Oh, wow. But you've been too busy to call me, but there's nothing new?

00:07:23

No, my life is, I just have a busy life, you know? I just lead a very busy life. Like I just have—

00:07:30

What are you doing this weekend?

00:07:31

Things going on. What am I doing this weekend? Um, tonight I have dinner.

00:07:39

Tomorrow— Have you ever been to a restaurant in the city called Estella?

00:07:43

No, but I feel like I've heard of it. But why?

00:07:46

That's where, um, MGK and Dakota Johnson went on their date.

00:07:50

Interesting.

00:07:51

When they went to Taylor Swift's apartment.

00:07:53

Oh, I don't know. Yeah, I don't really like know like the like hot new places because I feel like I go to the same 3.

00:08:00

Oh, you do? You don't go to the hot new restaurants? Have you been to Corner Store?

00:08:04

I do, I have. I do love Corner Store, and I did actually go to the new restaurant that they opened, that Corner Store opened this week called Café Charmin. It's in the old St. Theo's, and it was fabulous. So maybe I do actually know.

00:08:16

So what do you think is the best restaurant in the city for someone coming to visit New York City?

00:08:21

Hillstone.

00:08:22

Okay, but like city-specific. And I agree, it is Hillstone.

00:08:26

Yeah, city-specific. Like, what's the cuisine?

00:08:32

Just give me a great restaurant in New York City. Like, come on, we got a young New York City young person here.

00:08:39

And it's not a membership club?

00:08:41

No, and it's not a membership club.

00:08:44

Um, shoot, like I don't know why this is coming to me, but like American Bar.

00:08:52

Okay, that sounds like—

00:08:53

I do love American Bar. Yeah.

00:08:56

Um, what? Are you ready for my next question?

00:09:03

Nothing, nothing. I was gonna say, what's new with you?

00:09:06

Oh, that's so sweet of you. What's new with me? What isn't new with me, I would say.

00:09:12

It's so true. I can't wait to see your new house. I'm so excited.

00:09:15

Are you coming anytime soon? Do you have plans?

00:09:17

I have a Thanksgiving booked, even though— That helps you.

00:09:21

That's important.

00:09:23

And then I was thinking about maybe coming in October for Levi's birthday.

00:09:28

Okay, great.

00:09:29

But I need to see— I have a lot of work travel coming up, so I need to see how that nets out. And then if that weekend is available, then I'll come.

00:09:35

Okay, great. We would love to have you. Yeah, it's just been like new house things, getting settled, just like loving The new Pargi vibe. Do you like change?

00:09:44

Hate.

00:09:46

Hate. Do you think you like change more or less than Claudia? Claudia hates change too.

00:09:51

No, I know. Um, I think I handle change better than Claudia, but I don't know if I like it, you know?

00:09:59

Yeah, yeah. You don't like change? Like, I love it.

00:10:02

You do?

00:10:03

I do.

00:10:04

That's such a good quality. Like, I hate change. I'm like a creature of habit in like so many aspects of my life.

00:10:10

Exciting.

00:10:12

That's so scary.

00:10:13

So I'm just like, I'm loving being in a new environment and just all of the newness.

00:10:18

That's crazy. Like, to me, I'm just like, that's— I hear what you're doing and I'm like, holy shit, that's so much work.

00:10:23

Yeah, well, it was a lot of work, but now the fruits of my labor are paying off. There's still like stuff, a little like fun projects to do, I would say. Like, the stuff that we have to do now is like fun, like finding a cute sofa for the bedroom.

00:10:35

Right, right, right.

00:10:36

Like, so I'm just taking my sweet time ordering a million fabric samples.

00:10:39

So when I come, like, I still stay with you?

00:10:41

Yeah, I would love it.

00:10:43

I would love it.

00:10:44

Yeah, okay, it's up to you. Like, we always switch over, like bop around.

00:10:48

Yeah, we bop around. That's true.

00:10:50

It's really up to you.

00:10:51

Okay, well, I feel like I'll have to because I like wouldn't— won't have been there yet. Like, Olivia's house, unfamiliar.

00:10:56

Right, right, right.

00:10:57

It would be like a fun thing. New and like parched. Do the boys talk about me? Are they like, where's Miss Margot? Um, you can say no.

00:11:07

All the time. All the time. We actually did talk about you this morning.

00:11:11

What'd you say? Would you say I'm gonna talk to Miss Margot?

00:11:13

You said that you weren't gonna be here tonight for dinner.

00:11:16

For dinner, correct. I will not be there.

00:11:18

So it was about the absence of Miss Margot.

00:11:20

Oh, classic. I feel like that's always what you're talking about is the absence.

00:11:25

It's not too late for you to get on a flight. Make it for dinner. I'm gonna make chili.

00:11:30

It's just, there's just like no way. But like, I love you and that's a really beautiful sentiment. Um, but it's just gonna have to be a no for me at the moment.

00:11:38

I'm making chili.

00:11:40

I know, that's honestly enough to get me there.

00:11:42

I might even make cornbread.

00:11:44

Sourdough cornbread?

00:11:46

No, regular, like in the box.

00:11:49

You made something recently. What was it? Oh, the CPK tricolore salad. That was an inspired choice.

00:11:56

Thank you so much for mentioning that because I didn't talk about it on the toast. Yes, I— my favorite menu item from California Pizza Kitchen is this tricolor salad, which was like an off-menu item, but it was a salad on top of like a cheesy pizza crust and it was amazing. I don't think I ever ate anything else at CPK because that was the only thing I ate. I guess I started with like the vegetable lettuce wraps and then that was the main.

00:12:16

So good.

00:12:17

So good. And then like it started to become like not available at CPK and now like CPK is Nowhere to be found.

00:12:23

There's one in Queens. I had a paid brand deal.

00:12:26

Oh, love that. It was fabulous. So I don't know why I had a bite of like a pizza last week that I was like, oh my God, this crust tastes like CPK pizza crust. And I was like, oh, I should try and make that. So I did. My first attempt was really good. There are a couple things that I would do differently and I would totally make it again. And it totally satisfied the craving. It was so exciting.

00:12:47

But the thing is like— Oh my God, it looks so good. It looks small, but—

00:12:50

Not a lot of people. Oh no, it was huge. Really?

00:12:52

Oh, the photo, it looked small.

00:12:54

Oh my God, it was like way too— I didn't even eat all that crust.

00:12:57

Oh, oh, okay.

00:12:58

Yeah, I have a really big plate, that's why. Perhaps it looks like it fit on a plate, but I, I have extra large plates.

00:13:04

I understand.

00:13:06

Um, so I would highly recommend that. And if you never had the tricolore pizza at CPK, like, I feel sorry for you.

00:13:12

Me too. Like, seriously, it was, it was a sign of the times.

00:13:15

It was. A couple people like DM'd me and they were like, oh my God, this brings me back.

00:13:20

Yeah. Speaking of sign of the times, I went to Harry on Wednesday.

00:13:23

Harry Styles?

00:13:24

Yeah, it was fabulous actually.

00:13:26

Is that the concert that's on your story?

00:13:27

Yeah.

00:13:29

I didn't watch it yet.

00:13:31

Um, it's— it was from 2 days ago, so it's gone.

00:13:33

I was just like— I, I actually remember I was walking through my room like trying to see what concert you were at and then something came up and I had to put my phone down. That's what happened to me.

00:13:40

That's totally fair. I was in Harry's house.

00:13:42

Harry's House, but not Harry's House.

00:13:44

No, no, no, this is Harry. This is together, together.

00:13:48

So Harry Styles could come on Namesake.

00:13:50

Harry Styles could come on Namesake. That's true.

00:13:52

What do you think about my podcast idea, Namesake?

00:13:55

I think it's so smart. And also I feel like it comes up a lot, like where, like there's a lot of people— who was it recently that you replied to my story?

00:14:04

Charlie Puth.

00:14:04

Oh, Charlie Puth. Yes. Yeah, that he could— Charlie.

00:14:08

He's not Charlie Puth, he's Charlie Puth when he comes on Nameless.

00:14:12

Charlie. Yeah, literally. That's the thing too, is that any like Harrys are gonna be like, oh, hi, Har.

00:14:16

Harsh.

00:14:17

Harsh.

00:14:17

Do you watch Dancing with the Stars?

00:14:19

So no, but like I'm informed and I watch the clips and like I may as well. Do you know what I mean?

00:14:24

Well, as long as you're informed.

00:14:26

I'm informed. Like I have one of my friends who like is a psychotic Dancing with the Stars fan and like keeps me up to date on every single thing. So I do know what is going on.

00:14:36

What are you watching?

00:14:38

I'm so glad you asked because I've been watching like so much TV recently. Lioness, have you heard of it?

00:14:44

I've heard about it, everyone's talking about it.

00:14:46

Um, so good, so good. Okay, um, I watched that new Emmy Rossum show Furious.

00:14:52

Oh, hate—

00:14:53

like seriously, when I tell you I hated that show, and I didn't even realize how much I hated the show as I was watching, but now that I've finished it and I've been sitting with it, I'm like been thinking about how much I hated that show and I'm upset that I wasted so much time on it. And also I went from Lioness to Furious and the production budget on Lioness versus Furious was so much higher that it made Furious not enjoyable to watch. And then I just started The Diplomat.

00:15:20

Okay.

00:15:21

Yeah, I'm in like a weird like era of shows at the moment.

00:15:23

You've been hanging out with Olivia.

00:15:25

No, I mean like on such an Olivia vibe. Like, yeah, yeah, no. I started to watch like a Harlan Coben one 'cause she loves them like—

00:15:32

Oh wow, okay, maybe you should stay at Olivia's. when you come down so you guys could have like movie night.

00:15:36

Yeah, it's so true. We do love a movie night when I stay there.

00:15:40

Um, but yeah, Harlan Coben.

00:15:41

Harlan Coben. And but I know the worst part. Do you wanna know the worst part? Is that I started the show to watch it and I realized I've already seen it.

00:15:48

That is so Olivia.

00:15:50

I know. Yeah, fool me once or whatever. Um, so yeah, that's what I've been watching. But yeah, no, I'm not, not like reality TV stuff, you know.

00:15:59

Yeah, that's all I watch.

00:16:01

I know.

00:16:01

And then like you asked me to explain reality TV stuff, like you were so interested to be informed on Let's Marry Hairs.

00:16:07

I like didn't understand, as like someone who was really not informed as an outsider and seeing some stuff online sometimes, I was so confused. So I went to my sister. And I explained it all. And she sent me voice notes and she explained it well.

00:16:21

That was a crazy time, Let's Marry Hairs.

00:16:24

Such a weird, basis for a show.

00:16:28

Yeah, it didn't have to be marry. Like, they didn't— it could have been—

00:16:31

No, it could have just been a dating show.

00:16:33

No, where ended in engagement and you're going to marry.

00:16:35

Yeah, of course. And but he's with—

00:16:38

he's still currently with the other one, the girl that he met on his honeymoon, allegedly.

00:16:44

Oh, I thought it was someone from the show, but just not the winner.

00:16:47

No, not from the show. We don't know who it is, at least not in my To my knowledge.

00:16:52

Not cheering, it's not public?

00:16:54

I don't think so.

00:16:55

Interesting.

00:16:55

Maybe people figured it out, but I don't know.

00:16:57

And like, remind me, are you like a fan of Harry Jowsey?

00:17:02

So I was, and I am, but the show was not good for his image, I would say. And if his image was starting to be like rehabilitated before the show and in the early episodes of the show where it's like he's so serious and he wants to get married and he lost his dad and it's making him realize he wants kids and a family, and then like that's just not how it wound up, right? So it's kind of— it was like hard to root for him.

00:17:26

I understand. That's totally fair.

00:17:28

Yeah, so it's complicated, like, for us Harry fans.

00:17:32

It's— it sounds complicated. I feel— I feel sorry for you guys that you have to take on that burden.

00:17:37

It's okay. We're a small but mighty group.

Okay, the air has just started feeling like fall this week for some of you. For us, it means just like a little less hot, which means I have officially entered the phase of the year where I want to be comfy at all times, but I also don't want to look like I've given up. Enter Roback's brand new Aspire sets. It's a matching half-zip sweatshirt and pants, and you need to understand that these are So soft. Like, dangerously soft. Like, you're in danger of Bruno stealing it. The kind of soft where you put them on and suddenly every other pair of pants you own feels unnecessarily aggressive. And the pants have this really cute stripe detail down the leg that gives them just a little bit of that retro '90s feel that Roback does so well. Makes the whole set feel a little more styled and elevated. Roback actually made a shorts version of the set and it sold out in a week, so apparently everyone else had the same reaction.

00:20:14

Now they've made the fall version and it's exactly what I want to wear right now. The half zip is so cute and flattering, the pants are comfortable, and the whole thing gives you that very specific look of, yes, I'm wearing sweats, but these are my nice sweats. You can wear the full set to run errands, grab coffee, or seriously the perfect travel fit. And then obviously both pieces work separately too. Half zip with jeans, leggings, pants with a tee or sweater. Very easy, very low effort, but still very chic. Loving these new fall pieces from Rowback so much. Use code TOAST on rowback.com for a generous 20% off your first order through the end of this week. That's r-h-o-b-a-c-k.com. Check out Roback. Thank you, Turtback. You're welcome, Jerkbag. So as we discussed, she put out 4 new songs from her encore album of The Life of a Showgirl. So The Life of the Showgirl, the encore, came out today. 4 new songs. We have Patient Zero, Cleveland, Pink Clouding, and Babylon. We will go one by one starting with Patient Zero. And the music video came out— no, no, it comes out at the VMAs on Sunday. Oh yes.

00:24:57

Yeah, no, I was like, oh, I didn't watch the music video. Me neither.

00:24:59

I didn't do all my homework. Thank God. Okay, I did all my homework, Professor. I did the reading.

00:25:04

Thank God.

00:25:05

Patient Zero is the lead single from the encore of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore. What do you think?

00:25:13

Okay, so Patient Zero in particular, um, is like growing on me as I listen more. However, I don't know, I'm having a hard time. I'm not gonna lie, I'm having a hard time. The Cleveland, I have to say, like, I love.

00:25:29

Like, it's okay. So you know what, let's start— let's look at the 4 as a whole and let's start with the positives because I don't want to start with patient zero.

00:25:36

Yeah, because I want to—

00:25:37

not positive.

00:25:38

I would like to start with Cleveland even though discourse online is like that people are hating Cleveland. Like, I'm getting DMs being mad at me that I like Cleveland.

00:25:47

And I'm like, okay, well, so I like Cleveland. Well, actually, we have to talk about Patient Zero because we have to talk about what the song's about. Patient Zero is about like, uh, you know, somewhat her ex is at— now ex calls her and is like, you know, he did this.

00:25:59

Did this happen to you? Yeah.

00:26:01

And like bonding with your ex's ex and like, I, you know, I know because I was patient zero. And I'm like, really? You just got married and your first song after your wedding is about some toxic ex relationship that whoever it is, it's certainly been played out a million times over. Like, that's really what we're leading with after like this joyous occasion.

00:26:21

I know, like, I wanna— like, I want you— like, what I want from her is the similar vibe but completely opposite sentiment of, you know that song Stop the Wedding?

00:26:31

Yeah.

00:26:31

And it's like fun and whatever. Like, I want that song but the happy version from Taylor post-wedding. That's what I want.

00:26:38

Yeah, or even like, Where's My Husband, but like the Here's My Husband.

00:26:42

Yeah, similar, literally similar vibes.

00:26:44

I love that, first of all, 'cause it's really these, you know, I really hate to go down this path 'cause I don't agree with it, but it's really starting to like beg the question, can like happy people in love make good music, make good art?

00:26:56

Okay, can I say like Luke Combs makes good art?

00:27:01

Well, damn.

00:27:02

And like he doesn't have any like tumultuous whatever. He's in a happy loving relationship and he has like such banger songs about being in love.

00:27:10

So many banger songs about like how much he loves his wife.

00:27:12

Yeah. And so—

00:27:13

Great point.

00:27:14

Yeah. So I do think it's possible.

00:27:18

So back to the positive. So I heard Patient Zero and I was honestly—

00:27:27

yeah. Yeah. No, I heard the same reaction.

00:27:32

I heard Cleveland and I was happy.

00:27:34

Me too.

00:27:34

Because we got a song about her present relationship, and it's obviously about Travis, and she's like so happy and like boistful— boastful.

00:27:44

And but I do like that a lot of it is like satire. Like some of the lines are just like her like poking fun of like at herself, but also at like whatever I'm saying about her. It's like someone said, it's like she has— there's— she— one of the lyrics I think is like, she has so much money, why does she dress like trash? And like that's what people say. And it's like she like put that in the song. Like, I think that's—

00:28:03

That's what people say.

00:28:04

Same.

00:28:05

Which is actually a great reference because I feel the complete opposite. Like, are you— like, it's this happy song about like how much her man loves her even though everybody thinks she's a loser. And it's like, really, the majority of people don't think that. And the whole world was rooting for your relationship and the whole world was obsessed with your relationship. And like, maybe some nasty people were saying some nasty things, or even like maybe like 1% of the discourse was like remotely negative, being like, why is he with her? But also, why is she with him? Where's the song about why is she with him? And like, you're, you're giving your haters like so much—

00:28:35

Validation.

00:28:36

In your song when literally no couple on earth has ever been more championed and loved and excited for than the two of them.

00:28:43

No, I agree. And also there in the bridge, there's one part where she's like, you just have to find someone who doesn't find you completely insufferable. And it's like, while that's funny, like, that's sad.

00:28:54

Yeah.

00:28:55

You know?

00:28:56

Yeah.

00:28:56

Like, is that what she thinks about herself, is that she's insufferable?

00:29:00

Yeah. So the chorus is really cute 'cause it's like something we can all agree on. My baby likes what he likes. He already took me to Cleveland and showed me the Heights. So hate all you like, this is the love of my life. So like, I love that.

00:29:12

I love that.

00:29:13

But then all of the verses are like, she's not as hot as she was, but she was only a 4. She was never a girl's girl. She's dressed like a whore.

00:29:20

And then it's supposed to be whore, but she doesn't say it.

00:29:22

And all of a sudden she doesn't curse anymore, which I love that. Thank you. I don't have to listen to the clean version. And with all of that money, why is she dressed like trash? When she smiles, it's annoying. And have you seen her?

00:29:32

And it's supposed to be ass.

00:29:34

I feel like people have said that though. I will give her that.

00:29:36

Yeah. No, I agree.

00:29:39

You know, and definitely like the worst people have said some of these things.

00:29:42

I know. And it's like, to your point, that's like 3% of the world. Like let's talk about the 97%.

00:29:48

Yeah, like what was it like to be in a relationship that the entire world was completely obsessed with? Like you literally changed the sport of football And it worked out. Yeah.

00:30:00

Yeah.

00:30:01

So, and it also reminds me of Shake It Off. I stay out too late. Like that's what people like, just all just like—

00:30:07

So true, so true.

00:30:07

She's obsessed with what the mean things people say about her.

00:30:10

I know.

00:30:10

But sure, people say mean things about you, so sure, like write about it. But what about like all of the great things? Like you are seriously the most famous person on earth and the most famous couple on earth.

00:30:20

Beloved. Beloved billionaire.

00:30:23

But other than that, I liked like the beat of that song and it felt better to me.

00:30:28

Agreed. Me too.

00:30:29

Then we have Pink Clouding, which I— which just felt like, like mishmash, like, like, yeah, sonically like something I've heard before, and not in a good or bad way.

00:30:39

Like, it's not sticking with me. Like, I can't place it.

00:30:44

And the lyrics, like, met the magenta sunrise, fuchsia forever intertwined through the rosewood on the fire. Neither of us knew at the time that I was a liar. Like, I don't know what it's about. I don't— I just feel like it's words.

00:30:56

I saw something that it's like— I saw something that was like, Patient Zero is about, um, like not being in a toxic relationship. Cleveland is about what it's like to be in a healthy relationship. Uh, Pink Clouding is about like recognizing that you hurt people and Babylon is about, I don't remember, but it was like the closing of a story. I don't know.

00:31:24

Yeah, I had seen something like Babylon was about like knowing that you're never gonna be like heartbroken like that again.

00:31:29

Oh yeah, of like that you're married and it's done and like that's the encore.

00:31:34

Yeah, I loved Babylon. Now I am like privy— I loved Babylon. I am privy to love anything like called Babylon or about Babel and Tower of Babel and Babylon. But I also really just liked it. Uh, I didn't, I didn't listen closely to know what it's about.

00:31:52

Yeah, I also just like the beat. Like, the open, the intros just like got me hooked.

00:31:58

Yeah, it was nice and pretty.

00:32:00

And it sounds like one of her songs. I just can't place what it is.

00:32:03

Yeah.

00:32:04

But here's what I'll say is obviously I'm happy to get new Taylor, always and forever. I really really just want debut Taylor's Version. Like, that's what I want right now personally, and I need that to happen.

00:32:18

I want the love songs Travis's Version.

00:32:21

Right. I want debut Taylor's Version with like her vault songs now.

00:32:29

Also, people are saying— people, I saw one thing— that Patient Zero, because of course it's like, who is this about? I don't think it's about Joe Alwyn because he hasn't had like a breakup. Neither has Matty since Like everything that happened. People are saying Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner.

00:32:44

I was thinking Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner or Dakota Johnson. And also Dakota's in the music video.

00:32:50

Dakota Johnson and whomst?

00:32:51

Like, well, so here's the thing. And obviously like, I don't know if we have to believe it, but Taylor like called into a radio interview and she was saying that this song—

00:33:00

This morning?

00:33:01

Yeah. Or it was, yeah, this morning. And she was saying that she was like sitting with a group of friends and like one of the friends was like, oh, this person just called me 'cause like they broke up with XYZ. Um, and like wanted to talk about it. And then like everybody else was like, oh my God, that's happened to me, like blah blah blah. And so then she was like, oh, that's like a good idea for a song. Maybe she's just saying that and it's a cover to not be about people specifically. Um, but I— she's saying that she, uh, got inspiration from those around her.

00:33:28

I love that. I feel like that was a lot of Folkmore and Evermore. I think that's what a lot of artists do when like maybe things are quiet in their personal life. And but you don't do that under the framework of the life of a showgirl, which is the life of You. You.

00:33:40

Agreed.

00:33:40

So that would be under, you know, like Carrie Underwood released like Storyteller and it was like, you know, about Jenny.

00:33:46

Yeah.

00:33:47

Yeah, we weren't thinking that's Carrie. She's just telling like this story of Jenny. All that money could never save Jenny from the devil living in his eye. So it could be done. I'm fine with that. But like everything with Taylor is so personal. The Life of a Showgirl is literally her telling us this is her life as she experienced it while she was in her showgirl era. So you can't now say, oh, it's about my friend. And also, so she was sitting around with her friends. Is that the trip she went on with Shellbag and Max?

00:34:14

When she— no.

00:34:16

She said she wrote for— she said her, Shellbag, and Max.

00:34:19

Shellbag. Shellback.

00:34:21

Shellback and Max, who could come on Namesake.

00:34:23

Um, yes.

00:34:25

They, they wanted to celebrate the, the amazing success of TLOA, so they went on a trip to Sweden and they were just there to celebrate. But of course there was a studio and there are songwriters, so they fell into a couple songwriting and that's what the encore is.

00:34:41

I think that—

00:34:41

You didn't read that caption?

00:34:43

I did, sorry. I just like didn't, I wasn't thinking like girls trip when I was reading that. Like, I think—

00:34:48

No.

00:34:49

It came from like her bachelorette party or something.

00:34:52

Got it. But again, I think that's a crazy, like what you are going to put, what she puts out at any given moment.

00:34:58

Yeah.

00:34:58

We are all reading into.

00:34:59

Will be speculated.

00:35:00

for your first song after you get married to be, oh, it was just like a random funny thought we had. Badass Patient Zero. Like everything with you is so intentional.

00:35:09

So no, I obviously agree, but also—

00:35:13

And then—

00:35:14

Dakota Johnson though recently has been doing the Sophie Turner of like going to Taylor Swift's apartment right after she broke up with Role Model. And like, you know, Taylor's like been taking care of her.

00:35:23

But no, but that wouldn't be like the common ex.

00:35:26

I—

00:35:26

they're—

00:35:26

yeah, they don't have the common ex, but also she's kind of—

00:35:28

Especially if she broke up with Role Model, Margo, they dated for 2 minutes. It would maybe be Chris Martin.

00:35:31

I like loved Dakota Johnson in Role Model. Like, it made so much sense to me.

00:35:36

But I think the, like, the real ex is Chris Martin.

00:35:40

Yeah, of course. But like, they broke up so long ago at this point.

00:35:44

And also, like, for— you wanna put out these 4 songs, like, fine, what would it take? But like, again, for Patient Zero to be the single when it's so clearly, right, the worst one. Oh no.

00:35:56

that she chooses the worst songs as her singles.

00:35:59

Why? I started thinking about that today.

00:36:02

Why? I don't know. Like, I seriously don't know. It doesn't make any sense to me. Like, especially on her other albums when it's like so crystal clear, like, what the song should have been. Like, Lover, Cruel Summer— are you fucking kidding me? Like, hello?

00:36:16

And Hero.

00:36:20

Yeah, no, Midnight's Yeah, that was bad. Shake It Off.

00:36:28

I mean, I know, but I, you know, I love Shake It Off.

00:36:30

Yeah, I know, I know. You are a Shake It Off apologist. It's true.

00:36:34

Hey, I love it.

00:36:36

Play, play, play, play, play. Do the boys know that? Do the boys know Shake It Off yet?

00:36:41

Um, it's come on a couple times because it's like sometimes I'll put it on if I'm like trying to get like a fun song in for Mama, but they don't know it.

00:36:49

I feel like I could see them taking to it.

00:36:52

Yeah, also it's on the Sing soundtrack, so I think if your kids like Sing, then they—

00:36:56

They'll like—

00:36:57

Will like Shake It Off, but they've never seen Sing, but maybe it's time.

00:37:00

Oh my God, they would love it.

00:37:03

Yeah, that's a good one.

00:37:05

That is such a good movie.

00:37:07

So that's the new Encore. I'm curious to see the VMAs.

00:37:13

It's been interesting. I feel like a lot's gonna come out of the VMAs. Like, I just feel like it's gonna be like a buzzy VMA is the vibe I'm getting.

00:37:20

Okay.

00:37:22

Um, and just like, I feel like other things I've just been seeing is like, it's just gonna be like stuff's going on.

00:37:30

Okay.

00:37:31

So we'll see.

00:37:32

I don't know. Yeah, I wonder like what the— like people think. Sound off in the comments like on your thoughts of Encore.

00:37:39

Yeah, all I've been seeing is just hate for Cleveland so far.

00:37:43

It's misdirected.

00:37:44

It's misdirected.

00:37:45

Fire it at patient zero.

00:37:47

Fired up, patient zero.

00:37:49

Okay, are you ready for our next story?

00:37:51

I am.

00:37:52

This is a crazy, very sad story. Melania Giudice had suicidal thoughts and a mental breakdown during an airport clash with her mom and her sister. So, um, a video was shared yesterday of Melania Giudice at the airport with her mom Teresa Giudice, Real Housewives of New Jersey, and her sister Gia. Police were called and it was said that she was having suicidal thoughts and a mental breakdown when she had a heated encounter with her mom and her sister at Tampa International Airport in Florida on Wednesday. Page Six can exclusively confirm cops were alerted that multiple females need police ASAP and that she got away, that she was separated from a counselor who was also on the scene, according to an incident report obtained by Page Six. She was last— she was allegedly last seen 30 minutes before her mom saw her run away. About 10 minutes later, she was located and escorted by police to her gate. Then shortly a video went up on social media that was then taken down of Melania like filming her mom and her sister, um, like yelling at them. And Teresa just being like, I love you, I love you, I love you.

00:38:57

And Melania being like, shut the fuck up. Um, she was yelling at her mom like, this is what we do now, this is what I do now. Because I guess because like the police were there, so it was just, um, a bit of an altercation at the airport.

00:39:08

Yeah, it's very sad. Well, you know that Melania's best friend just died, right? So I wonder if that's like playing into like her sort of mental and emotional state.

00:39:19

Yeah, she's also been going through just a bad period because even before that she was arrested for domestic assault. She punched someone. The report had the initials LR, which could be anyone but also could be Teresa's new husband's name is Luis Suarez, and his son is Luis Suarez Jr., I believe. So it's like, I think perhaps someone in the family.

00:39:45

Interesting.

00:39:46

So this is just like, it's a string of like troubled behavior.

00:39:51

Troubled behavior. How old is she?

00:39:54

She is 20.

00:39:57

Oh, oh my God, I don't know why she thought— I thought she was like 15.

00:40:00

No, she's 20. Well, 'cause we've seen her grow up.

00:40:03

Right, right. That's really sad. Like, I, I feel bad for them. And I have to say, like, I actually met Gia and she's like lovely and like, and lovely and like seems like very like good head on her shoulders. I was like actually kind of taken aback by it. Yes.

00:40:20

I think that's always been people's impression of her. I think she like grew up fast and young. She's very mature and now she's on Next Gen and she has her podcast and she's really doing well for herself. And I would say good head on her shoulders is a good way to describe her, especially considering everything. Do you watch this show? I don't. Do you?

00:40:37

No.

00:40:38

Are you Next Gen?

00:40:40

I feel like I'm not Next Gen.

00:40:42

I feel like you don't watch Housewives.

00:40:44

Yeah.

00:40:45

You would watch Next Gen.

00:40:47

No, I feel like if I were to watch a show, it would be like Summer House, but I don't and I won't.

00:40:52

Yeah.

00:40:53

You know?

00:40:54

You don't like reality TV.

00:40:56

I don't think I like reality TV.

00:40:57

It's so crazy.

00:40:59

Like, I still haven't even finished and I actually was really enjoying it, but I just— Earl Meets World. I know. Like, I just like haven't finished it. Like, I—

00:41:09

How did you not finish it?

00:41:11

Because I saw like what's worth seeing like online. And so then I'm like, okay, I don't need to like spend my time watching.

00:41:20

Wow.

00:41:21

I know, I've been meaning to. I, I will. But like, even like Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, like, I don't think I ever finished the second season.

00:41:27

Yeah, I could— I understand why like you don't watch that. I feel like that's not your vibe. But like, Alex Earl is so your vibe.

00:41:33

No, I know, and I do love her, and I do love Royale. So yeah.

00:41:40

Um, so this is very sad. I feel very bad for Teresa. I feel like she's handling it like as best as you Can—

00:41:48

I know, she can't catch a break.

00:41:51

Yeah, no, this is just like— this is very, very sad.

00:41:58

Very sad. Prayers.

00:42:01

Yeah, I hope she gets the help that she needs.

00:42:03

I agree.

00:42:04

Our next story is just so interesting that it came out today because I would never pick it if Claudia were here, but I have to pick it today.

00:42:10

Okay.

00:42:11

I have to pick it because you are here, because Dove Cameron got married Oh. To her man, who I didn't know she had a man and that this is her man, Måneskin frontman Damiano David.

00:42:23

Okay, I have so many things to say. One, there's a story that I keep waiting for you to bring up and I'm really just so curious to see if you picked it.

00:42:29

Okay.

00:42:30

But I'm not gonna say until we're done.

00:42:32

Okay.

00:42:32

And if you don't, I'm gonna be so confused.

00:42:34

Wait, you have— okay, after this story you're gonna say it. Okay, fine.

00:42:40

I did see that. I didn't know that it was the frontman to Måneskin. Do people know that like you and I have like lore with Dove Cameron?

00:42:49

Maybe if you've been around for a really long time, you do, if you've been watching the show since the beginning. But if you're like sort of new here, Margot and I are obsessed with, and we're obsessed with now, it's like, you know, sort of over. So what's there to do? But like, we love the Descendants franchise.

00:43:04

No, like love.

00:43:05

No one has ever loved it more.

00:43:08

Or seen it as many times as we have. Well, it's 'cause it's Kenny Ortega. Uh-huh.

00:43:14

1 and 2 were so good. 3 was not good, but every trilogy has a flop.

00:43:19

Yeah.

00:43:20

So we inadvertently love Dove Cameron.

00:43:23

Love Dove Cameron. Like we have kept up with her in every relationship, in every project.

00:43:28

It's not been a smooth ride.

00:43:31

No, she has had troubles.

00:43:34

Yeah. And she's gone through like a lot of different eras and like figuring out like, you know, who she is post-Disney and all of that. She's had a couple different relationships. She actually always dates like interesting people. Even if at the time I don't know, always at the time I don't know them.

00:43:47

I don't know them. Yeah.

00:43:48

And then I'm like, oh, like Thomas Doherty from, he was in Descendants, but then he was also in Gossip Girl. He was in Tell Me Lies.

00:43:55

Oh, right.

00:43:56

He was Leo. Leo from Tell Me Lies. That's who she's dating. Wow.

00:43:59

Good memory. Like I would never remember that. Yeah, no. And yeah, I'm happy for her that she's married. Like I was not obsessed with her look.

00:44:08

So they wore like matching suits. They got married in Italy, so it wasn't, you know, gonna be—

00:44:15

why? Everyone gets married in Italy.

00:44:17

Hailey Paige.

00:44:19

Why? Everyone gets married in Italy and they wore dresses.

00:44:22

She's also like different, she's alternative.

00:44:23

Yeah, okay, so say that. Like them getting married in Italy isn't reason to not wear a fucking dress.

00:44:28

Yeah, well, they wore matching suits, but she looks beautiful. I mean, she's like really one of the most beautiful people I've ever met.

00:44:32

Oh, she's unbelievably gorgeous.

00:44:33

How could she be bad? But first of all, Måneskin, like Eurovision, they won Eurovision. Did you know that?

00:44:38

They did?

00:44:38

Yeah. And Damiano David, I actually know who that is 'cause I've been listening to like one of his songs is on, like I identified that I liked it and it's on my liked songs. So I see his name like every day in my car. The First Time, do you know it?

00:44:52

I would maybe have to hear it.

00:44:53

I love it.

00:44:54

Do you know that I always thought that Måneskin was like seriously a band from like the '80s?

00:45:00

I know, I don't know why.

00:45:02

Oh, because they were like new and young.

00:45:04

I think it's because they did a cover of like Beggin', which is an old song. So then when they redid it, you probably just thought they were the ones who sang it originally.

00:45:16

Sang it, yeah.

00:45:17

But yeah, I'm pretty sure Måneskin is from Eurovision. Like, I know that, like, I'm, I'm 99% sure, but let me just—

00:45:25

I mean, I feel like you're probably right.

00:45:29

Yeah, uh, and they sing Zit je buoni. Yeah, they won in the Netherlands in 2021.

00:45:37

Wow, okay, and like fairly recently.

00:45:41

Yeah.

00:45:41

Crazy. I am—

00:45:42

I didn't know he was dating Dove, and I didn't know that they got married, so I'm so glad they got married today when you're here so we can talk about it.

00:45:48

No, me neither. Um, I'm so happy for her. Like, I feel like she like found her peace and I feel like that's all she's really ever wanted. Yeah.

00:45:57

I think also things like perception of her shifted a lot when she did Armchair Expert a few years ago.

00:46:02

Yeah.

00:46:03

And she's so smart and well-spoken.

00:46:05

Well-spoken.

00:46:07

And she has a crazy story. And I think like people got to know her who didn't know her, and those of us who did know her like saw her in a different light. And she's obviously like very mature and very like ready and not, you know, just the Disney girl that that everyone knew and loved.

00:46:23

No, I agree. Yeah, to the happy couple.

00:46:29

To the Davids.

00:46:30

To the Davids.

00:46:32

Okay, what's the story you thought I was gonna choose?

00:46:34

Sydney Sweeney in Belmont Camelli.

00:46:35

Okay, that is the next story. Thank God. I really— I'm actually bummed that it's the next story because I thought there was like something huge that I was missing.

00:46:42

Oh no.

00:46:42

And honestly, this was sort of a last-minute addition. We don't always like talk about casting news, but because like you're Belmont Camelli person, and this sounds really good, and it's Friday. It did make the cut.

00:46:52

Yeah.

00:46:53

Off-Campus star Belmont Camelli joins Sydney Sweeney in Sony's Hollow. So Sony Pictures looks to have found its Brom Bones for its upcoming Sleepy Hollow movie. Sources tell Deadline that Belmont Camelli is set to join Sydney Sweeney in the studio's adaptation of Hollow, the project based on filmmaker Lindsay Anderson Beer's forthcoming debut novel. Okay. So the book hasn't come out yet?

00:47:15

No. Is that interesting?

00:47:17

Uh, she's also attached to direct as well as adapt her novel, which will be published by Putnam in fall 2027. The novel sold to Putnam in highly competitive and will be globally translated at launch.

00:47:29

Why is this already being adapted to a movie?

00:47:32

And also, why is it already like known to be like a game? Like, why is there a huge bidding war on an author's first book?

00:47:40

I don't know. And also I'm confused on if there's a script, like why do you have to release a book if the book isn't already out?

00:47:48

No, no, no, I'm beyond confused. We're gonna have to do some investigating, okay?

00:47:52

Okay.

00:47:53

Like nothing will ever like be more hyped than this.

00:47:56

No, I know.

00:47:57

She's a filmmaker. Okay, so she wrote the Netflix film Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. As well as Pet Sematary and Chaos Walking.

00:48:09

Don't know those.

00:48:15

Yes, she founded a production company with 2 other people who announced that it's going to help produce the new adaptation of Lord of the Flies. But like, still, that doesn't—

00:48:25

that doesn't answer the question.

00:48:25

Explain like all the buzz.

00:48:28

Should I ask chat?

00:48:31

I don't know. So the novel is a reimagining of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

00:48:35

Yes.

00:48:35

Told through the perspective of Katrina— Katarina Van Tassel, played by Sydney Sweeney. Reframing one of literature's most iconic heroines positions her as not only a romantic prize but essential figure in a dangerous mystery and seductive supernatural love triangle. Triangle. The story blends goth— gothic atmosphere, psychological intrigue, and erotic thriller elements into contemporary high-concept reinvention of the classic tale. Okay, what's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow?

00:48:59

You've never heard of Sleepy Hollow?

00:49:01

Like, I've heard of it, but also I've also heard of like Stars Hollow. What's the one from Gilmore Girls?

00:49:06

Stars Hollow is Gilmore Girls. Yeah. Is it? Yes. Is Stars— right? I think so. I never watched Gilmore Girls.

00:49:14

What's Gilmore Girls Hollow?

00:49:18

Stars Hollow, Gilmore Girls. Yeah. No, you're right. It's a fictional town in Connecticut featured in the television series of Gilmore Girls.

00:49:26

Okay, so that's the only hollow I know.

00:49:28

Yeah, Sleepy Hollow. No, I've— I don't know what it's about, but I've always heard of Sleepy Hollow, like, as— yeah, it's like a Tim Burton thing.

00:49:38

Okay, this is sounding worse and worse.

00:49:41

I—

00:49:41

and it's a gothic atmosphere starring Sydney Sweeney and Bel McAmelie. I want to see them in full color. Uh, yeah, in full living color.

00:49:50

I do think that this is like supposed to be kind of like thriller mystery vibes. Like, I don't think it's supposed to be like, um, her movie with Glenn Powell. What was it called?

00:50:03

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.

00:50:04

Oh yeah, no, I don't think it's— I don't think it's—

00:50:06

Which is also good because, no, like, that one got just such a bad rap. I never saw it, but it also— it didn't— wasn't even compelling for me to see because it is so obvious, you know?

00:50:14

Well, yeah, but I'm just like so intrigued by Sydney Sweeney's collecting these off-campus men like Infinity Stones because she's— she cast Stephen Kalin, Dean, for The Housemaid.

00:50:25

Right.

00:50:25

Yeah. And so like, that's kind of crazy.

00:50:28

That is crazy. I didn't realize that. I love, I love that.

00:50:32

No, I mean, I love that, but he's just, he's not the main guy. He's, um, like her boyfriend for in the sequel for Housemaid Secret.

00:50:41

Yeah.

00:50:42

Yeah. Which I love that for him.

00:50:44

Yeah. Okay. So how do you feel about them, him, her and Belmont in Sleepy Hollow?

00:50:48

I mean, I'm obsessed. Like, I like, I love Sydney Sweeney and like, we all know like I'm Belmont Camellia's biggest fan, so like, why not?

00:50:55

Like, that's— Did you see Tyler Cameron's dance to Dancing with the Stars?

00:50:59

Of course I did. I mean, I—

00:51:02

Did you approve? Um, as the president of the Belmont Camellia sailing club?

00:51:06

Um, yeah, I approved. I thought it's a good idea, I think, like by Sharna or whatever to like do that and like play into that. Like, I think that that's smart.

00:51:14

You heard it was Chicks in the Office idea?

00:51:16

Was it?

00:51:17

Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, I saw them talking about it because they were there. Did you see them dancing like in the No, I didn't. You probably didn't 'cause you don't watch, so you're not entirely informed.

00:51:25

I'm not entirely informed.

00:51:26

But they were there with, as like Tyler's friends and family and in the—

00:51:30

Package?

00:51:31

In the dance. Yeah, no, in the dance, he like goes and dances in front of like his little family section.

00:51:35

Yeah.

00:51:35

'Cause it's like girls, you know?

00:51:36

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:51:38

And then they were talking on their podcast how like they had this idea for him.

00:51:43

Oh, oh, that was a really good idea.

00:51:46

Like amazing idea.

00:51:47

Amazing idea. Like I love that. 'Cause it's like, it's not at the point where it's too overdone yet. It's definitely like gonna get there, but like—

00:51:54

No, it's not. There were 2 things like, and that's what I said to Claudia. Like when he danced in the show, I had already known, I had already seen the video from the Kid Laroi concert. I saw that video first.

00:52:05

Yeah.

00:52:06

Oh, you did?

00:52:06

Okay.

00:52:07

And I thought, I hadn't seen Off Campus, but I saw the video.

00:52:09

Yeah.

00:52:09

I saw like everyone posting it and I thought it was cool actually, even though Claudia hated it. Like I had no issue with it. I loved it. I was like, oh, he's obviously recreating his viral dance from his show. And when I finally watched the show, I didn't even realize that was the moment.

00:52:21

Because in the show it's quite literally 0.7 seconds.

00:52:24

No, it's nothing happened. He didn't even do like a good job in the dance-off for Drunk Shakespeare. So like, how did that get pickup?

00:52:32

Because like people are obsessed. So like they'll find like anything they can. And then when they do like slow it down and like duplicate it like into a fan edit, like it's really great. Okay, okay.

00:52:43

When they're doing it like that.

00:52:44

Yeah, yeah, when you're doing it like that, like, you obviously get consumed by it. And like, the man just loves to dance. Like, that's it.

00:52:51

Yeah, so, so far we have like just that one, then the one at the concert, and then Tyler Cameron. Like, there's— I don't think it's overdone.

00:52:57

No, I don't think it's overdone at all. Just let him dance.

00:53:03

Yeah.

00:53:04

Let the boy dance.

00:53:05

Maybe he'll be dancing in Hollow.

00:53:07

Or maybe he'll be dancing sooner than you think. Wink.

00:53:10

Wait, on Dancing with the Stars?

00:53:12

No. No.

00:53:15

Dancing with the Satchies?

00:53:16

No.

00:53:17

Would you ever do Dancing with the Stars?

00:53:19

For sure, but I think I would be like Sarah Jane Nader. Like, I would get— like, I would get kicked off on the first night because, like, I'm a nepo sister and, like, nobody would care about me. But, like, I would totally do it. Perfect comparison.

00:53:35

Except if you danced really well, they actually— you couldn't go home really night one because your score would, like, carry you through.

00:53:40

Maybe, maybe. But like, I don't know, like, no, like, I just know how to go like, you know, like—

00:53:48

Yeah, we actually don't need you to go on Dancing with the Stars because like we've seen it already.

00:53:52

Yeah, like, just go to my Instagram. Like, that's usually what it is.

Get started today. Thank you to Turt. You're welcome to Jurt. Are you ready for our 5th and final story?

01:00:50

I am.

01:00:52

It's a little, um, I guess lifestyle news because, um, Barbie is getting some backlash. I want to get your thoughts. Have you seen this?

01:01:01

I have.

01:01:02

I just saw it this morning.

01:01:03

I have.

01:01:04

First ever Hanukkah Barbie sparks both outrage and excitement. with her look, which includes a different nose than the other Barbies. You know, some saying a bigger nose. So this week, Mattel debuted its first official Hanukkah doll as part of the legacy toy brand's Holiday Sweaters collection. The $28 toy is part of the company's upcoming Holiday Sweater collection, which includes 2 other Barbies, one who's blonde, one who is Black. They're dressed in red and green Christmas sweaters that light up when you press a hidden button. They, you know, have Barbie's hair and shiny lips. The Hanukkah Barbie is a little different. First, there—

01:01:45

okay, like, wait, first there is her outfit.

01:01:48

She's wearing a blue sweater with a giant menorah, baby blue dreidels and tiny snowflakes along with blue Stars of David. She's also wearing what appears to be Uggs and She's got a schnoz.

01:02:07

Okay, am I blind? Like, Jackie, I didn't see anything wrong with her nose. Like, it wasn't that big.

01:02:13

So here's what I will say. They obviously tweaked the nose because Barbie— like, the other Barbie noses have all the same.

01:02:18

No, it's like a Barbie nose. They're like teeny tiny. Yeah.

01:02:21

This one is different.

01:02:22

This wasn't like a schnoz.

01:02:24

Like, if you just showed me the doll and didn't say they like enlarged the nose or Like, and you just showed me this Hanukkah doll. I— first of all, she's beautiful.

01:02:33

She's gorgeous. Like, kind of like, she kind of looks like me.

01:02:36

It's like representation. And I do think she looks like a beautiful Jewish girl. And so like, before all of this, if you just showed me they were making a Hanukkah doll— you guys, antisemitism is so fucking bad. We don't need to look for shit like this. No, that's where I'm like— I think the words you are looking for are thank you.

01:02:49

Thank you. Uh, we're always fighting for inclusion. We just like want to be part, part of it. And like, I don't think that they did this in a way to be antisemitic. I really don't. Like, it's fucking Barbie. And so I have no problem with this. Honestly, the bigger issue is that like, I feel like, like I'm not obsessed with like her outfit.

01:03:13

Yeah, I don't like any of their outfits. That's what Christmas and holiday sweaters are. They're ugly. They're ugly Christmas sweaters.

01:03:17

Fine, that's so true. Yeah, no, guys, I have no problem with this. And like, again, it's not like it's a crazy schnoz that it's like offensive.

01:03:24

No, it's not like a hook nose like Macklemore wore.

01:03:27

Literally, exactly. Like, it's, it's just, it looks like a regular nose to me.

01:03:31

Like, yeah, I think, I mean, they definitely like—

01:03:33

You could put it obviously side by side, but like, I wasn't doing that.

01:03:36

They definitely like stepped into some stuff, like trying to like, you know, get into like features and whatnot. And they could have just like done the same face and the sweater, but they like tried to be, authentic. I don't know, they're like damned if they do, damned if they don't. I'm just happy that there's a Hanukkah Barbie. She's beautiful.

01:03:54

And I really hope that this doesn't like hinder them from like doing more.

01:03:57

Yeah, I think everybody like calm down. I can give you a list of things to go be offended about instead. But the only other thing I'll say is that Barbie is Jewish. The founder of Barbie, Ruth Handler, is Jewish, um, and I think she like made the dolls like it was for her daughter, so Why you gotta make Barbie Jewish if she's already Jewish? You know what I mean? Like, why'd you change her face if the original—

01:04:23

if that face is the original? Yeah, it's— that's an original.

01:04:27

So I actually— that sort of bothers me more because now you're saying, oh, Barbie was never Jewish and here is a Jewish Barbie. That's erasure.

01:04:34

That's erasure. Now we're getting into erasure.

01:04:37

And now we're getting into erasure, which I find disgusting.

01:04:39

Yeah, which like Okay, never mind. Like, you're wrong, Barbie.

01:04:43

Like, you're telling the wrong story because Barbie's Jewess.

01:04:47

Jewess.

01:04:49

Um, but no, other than that, like, she's beautiful. And if she were like really ugly and busted—

01:04:54

Oh my God, if she looks like the face that Macklemore did, like that Jew face, like, then that's, that's what we're acting like it is. And it's, it's quite literally not.

01:05:03

It's, it's not at all. So I think it's really cute. And thank you so much for including us in your holiday collection.

01:05:08

And we're just happy to be here and That's all, really.

01:05:13

Um, I wish Claudia were here today, like, just to— I want to know what she thinks about this.

01:05:20

You can ask her on Monday.

01:05:21

Yeah, hopefully it'll come up on Monday. Yeah, well, those were the Fast Five stories, and I feel as though you needed to know them.

01:05:28

Uh, for sure, we definitely needed to discuss them.

01:05:31

Now it is time for Queenie and Weenie of the Week. Miss Margo, do you have a Queenie and Weenie for us?

01:05:36

I have a Queenie. I don't really know if I have a weenie, even though like I feel like everyone's just constantly being a constant weenie at all times.

01:05:43

The problem is they're like worse than weenies.

01:05:45

So yeah, yeah, it's just a weenie, like just like a weenie weird thing somebody did this week.

01:05:51

Like, yeah, I've just been like struggling with that. Everyone who listens knows how to struggle with like calling somebody a weenie. Yeah, yeah, because like people did far worse things, but they're actually like too bad.

01:06:01

Yeah, like weenie's supposed to be funny, and then it's like if you get all serious, it's like that's It's like you've missed the point. Um, from a weenie perspective, I have to think about that, but I have my queenie, and like, I'm really like— I feel like it's a really good one.

01:06:13

Okay, who's your queenie?

01:06:15

Lili Reinhart. I don't know if you guys have spoken about her on the show this week, but have you like been seeing her press tour looks?

01:06:20

I saw one of them that was President's Daughter.

01:06:23

Yeah, she—

01:06:23

And then I saw a headline that she's like making iconic rom-com looks like her press tour looks, and she's fucking eating down, yo.

01:06:31

Like she is crushing. Did you read The Love Hypothesis?

01:06:35

Yeah.

01:06:35

You did? Oh, I did. I'm very excited for the movie. I feel like it's gonna be really good. But on this press tour, she's been recreating these like iconic moments and she's been doing such a good job. She looks like so unbelievably Pargi. Like in, she just looks amazing right now. And like her looks have been so gorgeous and like I've just been eating it up. And it's really just like, in my opinion, queenie behavior.

01:07:00

That's beautiful.

01:07:02

Yeah.

01:07:02

My Queenie will be Claudia for announcing—

01:07:08

Oh yeah, that's sweet.

01:07:10

Her pregnancy and, you know, how, how hard she's been working.

01:07:16

That's really sweet.

01:07:17

To make it through.

01:07:18

Jackie, that's beautiful.

01:07:20

Thank you. I mean, it could always be us.

01:07:22

I mean, it could always be us.

01:07:24

That's what's the actual hard part about Queenie and Weenies, like, we're the Queenies.

01:07:27

I know, but like, you can't say that all the time.

01:07:30

No, you can't say it all the time. Um, and you're the queenie for joining me today.

01:07:34

Thank you for having me. You know I love to be here.

01:07:36

Yeah, no, this was so fun. I needed a hit of Sachi.

01:07:39

A hit of Sachi?

01:07:41

Like, you know, I just needed— just get on the plane, Margo. Just get on a plane.

01:07:45

Do you want to book it?

01:07:47

If I book it, will you come?

01:07:49

If I build it.

01:07:49

What if you like show up for dinner and nobody knows that you're coming? It's not too late.

01:07:53

It's not too late.

01:07:54

Nobody's gonna listen to this.

01:07:56

I know, I already thought about that.

01:08:01

Um, nobody in our family is gonna listen.

01:08:02

No, literally, like, we could say the craziest shit and like nobody's gonna listen to it.

01:08:07

Certainly not till the bitter end. Like, you don't listen to me and Claudia when we do this.

01:08:10

No, no, no, no. And I'm not offended that nobody—

01:08:11

And honestly, we don't want them to listen to it.

01:08:14

No, I only listen to it when one of my moles tells me that you guys are talking shit about me.

01:08:18

Yeah.

01:08:19

Yeah, I love that.

01:08:20

Yeah, it's a great way to get more listeners. We need you.

01:08:24

Yeah.

01:08:25

Um, okay, I'll book your flight. We love you so much. We will see you on Monday. Thank you so much for being Toasters, for just everything that you are. The best community.

01:08:36

01:08:40

Um, leave a comment, leave a review, 5 stars. We'll see you on Monday.

01:08:46

Love ya.

01:08:46

Love ya. Bye.

01:08:47

Love ya. Bye.
