Good morning, girlies. It's The Toast. It's Jackson Claude and I'm ready to discuss.

00:00:15

I'm ready to show the fast five things you need to know.

00:00:18

We'll start your day off swirly, it's The Toast.

00:00:22

They sound amazing.

00:00:24

Welcome back to The Toast, and happy Tuesday. That for me feels like a Monday, because boy, do I have a lot to do today. Tourdi went MIA yesterday. Apologies, something came up, but I'm here and I'm ready to discuss. I'm ready to show up for my people.

00:00:36

We are excited to have you. It was such a treat having Trout. Treats with Trout was yesterday.

00:00:41

That shouldn't like alternative title.

00:00:42

But we had to put Super Bowl in the title because it was the big day after the big game. And today's the second big day after the big game because we're going to get Super Bowl Turdy's version today.

00:00:50

Yeah. Sorry if it's repetitive, but I have a job to do. I think that people would still like to hear my thoughts on everything.

00:00:55

People are still talking about it. It's still in the news cycle.

00:00:57

But don't you feel like it has fated quicker than other Super Bowl? There actually were a couple of big things, like Bad Bunny and everything. But in terms of buzziness, I feel like everybody went home quickly.

00:01:08

I agree. The game, as I've come to learn, the Seahawks put up a very strong defense. Wherein not a lot of points could be scored. And when points aren't scored, it's not that exciting for a pea-brained viewer like myself who just wants to see touch downs. People catching. Yeah. And points and cheering. It was a good game in terms of football, but it wasn't the funnest game.

00:01:28

It wasn't the most entertaining by any stretch of the imagination. So today's episode has a lot. We've got Deer Toaster, of course, because it's a Tuesday, we never leave the DTQ hanging. We've got Turdy's Version, a celebrity Super Bowl recap, and we've got Jackson Claude, Just Being Themselves, which is such a beautiful thing to be able to be authentically represented in modern media.

00:01:49

Being part of Jalicious Steffanitius.

00:01:50

Okay, so I saw something that I actually was like, I wrote it down because I wanted to talk about it on the show and not tell you in person. So we were talking a lot about the patriarchy last week. Okay. I saw this beautiful theory on the patriarchy that I feel like we need to discuss. Okay. Patriarchy is this Darwinistic evolutionary tactic by men. Men are clearly the subpar gender. The only way for them to ensure their survival is to instill these toxic systems like the patriarchy, because if we didn't live in this very toxic male dominated system, we would have found, we are smarter, we are responsible for birthing. We would have found a way to do it all without the men. And they are ensuring their own survival by installing these toxic systems.

00:02:40

Let me ask you something, and I'm not saying men are smarter than women or women are smarter than men. I think we both have our great qualities and we serve different purposes. But if men were so much dumber than women, how could they pull that over on us?

00:02:52

I don't think that there's so much dumber.

00:02:53

No, but if they're inferior to women, how could they pull that over on us?

00:02:58

Their brute strength. That is what they have on us. And back in the day- So not so inferior. Right. Back in medieval times, when they could use that brute strength, I think that their physical strength, which, yes, we all have our-strengths, so to speak. And so men, yes, they are stronger than women in a physical sense.

00:03:15

So they used their physical superiority to dominate us- Yes. Intellectually. Yes. Societally.

00:03:24

To keep us down.

00:03:25

Financially.

00:03:26

Absolutely.

00:03:27

Very interesting.

00:03:28

I thought it was a really good take.

00:03:30

For me, I feel like the patriarchy had its moment and wasn't necessary meant to go out. Because up until modern advancements in menstrual health, first of all, pads, tampons. If you didn't have those things, how can you go out into the- And slay. How can you slay all day?

00:03:52

It's so true. When was the pad invented?

00:03:55

Well, people could have used cloth.

00:03:58

When was the sanitary napkin formally invented?

00:04:00

But no, I think they used cloth, reusable cloth. But I really think- 1918. The tampon opened up a lot of doors for a woman. Because if you're bleeding into a cloth all day, you don't feel like going and slaying.

00:04:13

No. And not only do you not feel like it. You are limited. You have a pass. Yeah, right.

00:04:17

And you have cramps. You're just not... So good man, go. But now we have my doll. We have the flow PMS. The flow PMS company said, I was advertising We have all of these things that allow us to be out of the house 20 to 31 days a month for better and for worse. It's true. I think it's really the advancements in women's health.

00:04:42

And that's why we should constantly be funding women's health research.

00:04:46

One thousand %.

00:04:47

I love that. So yeah, that was the thing that I saw that I wanted to talk to you about.

00:04:52

I just, not to be like Scott Galloway. I don't want, and not to make it serious when you were I'm not making it light-hearted, but it's like, men aren't so much dumber than women. We have different... I hate to be those man-hated women who are like, men are dumb.

00:05:07

I just want to say I didn't say that they were dumb.

00:05:09

I think you did.

00:05:10

I didn't.

00:05:11

They provide value as well. And I think we feel some type of way because as women, we've been put down. So we feel like you have to be like, well, you're ugly and stupid.

00:05:22

Yeah, I think you're projecting. I never said that they were dumb.

00:05:26

I feel like that's what you led with. I feel like that was your opening remark.

00:05:31

I would love to just sit back and roll the tape. Me too. Did I say that?

00:05:36

Oh, and we have a man here. How did that make you feel? Not good.

00:05:39

I didn't say it. He agrees. Obviously, the men are on my side, Scott Callaway. I'm scared of you. Good. It's working. I agree. I'm not one of those like, man-hating women either. And that's not at all what I was saying at all. I was commending them for that slave and evolutionary tactic, keeping us down to keep themselves up.

00:05:57

Okay. So I just think we need all work together. We need to stop pitting man against woman.

00:06:03

And I've been saying that. Speaking of man against woman, do we have a story about Utah? Of course. Okay, so I won't talk about it. Of course. I watched so much Olympics this weekend.

00:06:10

If it wasn't for the Super Bowl, that's the number one story of the day.

00:06:14

There's so many There were so many sports going on this weekend.

00:06:16

Waste management, who cares? Waste management. Full swing. Who won?

00:06:20

I don't know, but that's where Travis was. So that was big news.

00:06:23

But then he was with the chain smokers at Waste Management?

00:06:27

Chainsmokers was- Definitely Super Bowl. He has a jet.

00:06:30

I thought I saw him on the sidelines of the Super Bowl.

00:06:32

On the sidelines?

00:06:33

I don't know.

00:06:34

I think I saw him in the beginning ceremony. Yeah. No, but the waste management was the day before.

00:06:38

It's like three days.

00:06:39

Yeah, so I think he was just doing it all.

00:06:41

I'm so excited to find out what happened at Waste Management next year on full swing.

00:06:45

Yeah. Too bad we have to wait.

00:06:46

Your recap of Waste Management 2026 is coming next year. In 2027. Yeah.

00:06:51

And then, of course, the Olympics, which have just been bringing me so much joy, even though it's not the Summer Olympics, which are just so much better. They still have a lot of merit. I think a lot people don't even watch the Winter Olympics. I watch all. And yes, summer is better, but winter has a lot going on. I forget, of course, the Utah of it all. Figure skating, which is in such a joy. I love that couple.

00:07:11

I like that guy. Do you see his gold?

00:07:13

Of course, I know that guy.

00:07:15

And it's funny because he gets so... He's the quad God. The quad God, yeah.

00:07:19

His name is Iliam Milano.

00:07:22

Yeah. And I was watching his performance. He's obviously very talented. And then halfway through, I don't know why he just decides to put his whole Iliya Osi into it. And he just became insane. And he's throwing extra tricks, doing more swivels than they said that he was about to do. He just popped off and he won gold.

00:07:40

So what I'm learning watching the Olympics is, figure skating is just not this one size fits all. And I know figure skating from Ice Princess, of course, and triple Axel, and her using geometry.

00:07:50

Jumping shrimp.

00:07:51

Right. Her using geometry to figure out how to jump perfectly. Brilliant. But there's so many other elements. And it's like, most of the things that I'm watching are not even like triple Axel. It's like, ice dancing. There's freestyle. So Ilia is doing like, men's ice dancing, and it's like, crazy looking. Same with the Bates and Gates. Like last night, that couple who everybody loves, who's married, they did their ice dancing sing Routine to a Lenny Kravitz mix. Oh, my God, it was amazing. And they got so robbed in their score. And so like his tricks, like the quad God, he's not doing your typical ice princess like tricks.

00:08:25

Yeah, no, he's making up Ilia's own trick.

00:08:29

And I'm living for... It's crazy how differently I think of Johnny Weer and Tara Lepinsky in The Trader's mansion versus Milano Cortina. Milano Cortina. In Milano Cortina, they are slang... You see her TJ Maxx commercial? No. Tara did this fabulous commercial. I don't know. To me, they're so unimpressive in traders. I'm like, who are these people? I feel like I'm really learning about them as athletes, as people in their commentaries.

00:08:55

I think that was the point. They crushed.

00:08:57

They really did not do a good job of showing us who they are in traders. I'm putting in my own time and research in the cortina.

00:09:04

I don't think we were open. Even if they showed us, I would say, why are you showing us so much? Except for Tara, she's a cutie.

00:09:10

No, no, Jackie, I'm telling you, and their friendship is so real. Every time they talk I'm cracking up. I'm cracking up. I'm on traitors, I'm like, okay, they are best friends for life. It's so cute.

00:09:21

I saw such a funny tweet that was like, you think they're going to be able to figure out Rob's the traitor? They can't even figure out that the two figure skaters are best friends.

00:09:28

They've known each other for 100 years. It's so true.

00:09:31

They're like this very niche sport. They do broadcasting together and no one knows their best friend.

00:09:36

This is also day five of me asking Peacock to release the Colton files. Like, where is that video of Colton finding out that Rob is the traitor? Because I know he's going to be like, Oh, I knew it.

00:09:46

No, you fucking didn't.

00:09:48

I check every day. I'm so excited. Did you check today? I checked last night.

00:09:52

What's today? Tuesday? They owe it to us.

00:09:55

It's great. I know that they wait a little bit for spoilers, which I appreciate them looking out for their community traders.

00:10:03

No.

00:10:04

No.

00:10:05

Okay. Sad.

00:10:08

I'm posted in 16 hours. Like, I'm twitching.

00:10:12

What were we talking about? Oh, the Olympics?

00:10:14

Yeah. So it's been fabulous. We will talk about you two's big night last night. Yeah, it's just a great day.

00:10:21

Yeah. Lots to do. Should we get into it?

00:10:23

I guess, yeah.

00:10:24

I guess. Without further a do, do, do, do, here are the fast five stories that you need to know.

So Legacy Box is a company that is digitizing all your media, and it's really fabulous. 00:14:58

Thank you, Tert.

00:14:59

A pleasure.

00:15:00

Our first story, Super Bowl recap, part 2 turdies, version turdies. Here, let's get into it. The game, meh, the halftime show, the commercials, the celebrities. What are your thoughts?

00:15:10

I did feel like overall, I feel like, yes, some Super Bowl are buzzie-er than others. Of course, Taylor and Travis. In years past, I think there's been so many cultural elements.

00:15:20

Also, it depends on the location, too. 1,000 %.

00:15:23

Like, Vegas. Tying into the game, outside of the game, that it lifts the whole thing up. I just feel like this year is a little lackluster in its overall glamourousness and buzziness. Like I said, I feel like people are already moved on where I think in years past, we've been talking about it for days and days and days. And of course, there were big moments that we're going to talk about. But overall, I would say a little overwhelming. Do you agree?

00:15:43

Yeah, the teams in the game, I think the couple celebrity connections are Cardi B and they're barely together.

00:15:51

I don't know, just the celebrities that were there. I know Kim was there with her man. I'm like, no one cares.

00:15:54

I don't know, it just felt like a little- No, it's like there's a picture of them kissing and everyone thinks it's AI.

00:15:59

I believe it is AI. So they're right for saying that.

00:16:02

But who knows?

00:16:04

I hope it's AI. It's such a weird picture.

00:16:06

Yeah, I agree. But the celebs did all go. They did. They were in the halftime show. Let's talk about Bad Bunny.

00:16:13

What did you think? Okay, so didn't understand a word. Didn't know a single song.

00:16:18

I understand a lot of it because I speak Espanol.

00:16:20

I know you speak Espanol. Those two things with Standing, you know what? I really enjoyed it. I thought it was so colorful. And I think we talk a lot in music about how dark is cool and darkness and depression. It's just like, uch, that Billy Eilish esthetic. And this was just celebrating family and love. There was a wedding and it was like that little kid. It was very... And I do think that's very The Latin culture celebrates, that's what I'm always saying, food faith family. And it was that. Do you know what I mean? I actually really enjoyed it.. I wish I knew three songs that would have made it a little a bit more fun for me. But as a viewer, I was entertained thoroughly. I liked the set. It was all very, I don't know, bright. Yeah. And I'm always looking for positive, joyful things, and that was extremely positive and joyful. I imagine if you knew the music, it was amazing. And no, I thought he did exactly what he was supposed to do.

00:17:21

And what he was hired to do. Yeah.

00:17:22

I agree. Yeah. It was really... It was fun. And then, not Alex Earle being in the casita. I was shook. Not a Sheena Kurchenthaler's Casita. I was shook. So the concept of there being other people, we always are thinking, who is he going to bring out? I wasn't thinking he was going to be in the casita. You know? Jessica Alba, Cardi B. Now, of course, Jessica Alba is of Latin I sent. Cardi B is our Dominican queen. I wasn't expecting Alex Earle all that to say, but she is Miami. She does really represent Miami. Dave Grutman was there, too. He's Jewish, not. But I think they represent Miami really well. I think Bad Bunny is a a lot of his fans and community members come from Miami. So I understood it. I was really shook to see her there, and I thought she did a really good job. It had the potential to be awkward. You're basically just standing there dancing. And if you've ever been to the Super Bowl, if you're in the stadium, you actually don't really hear a lot. It's produced for television. So I can't imagine she was hearing the song super well or the beats super well.

00:18:18

I thought she really played it off.

00:18:19

It looks like a lot of the background characters had ears in.

00:18:23

Oh, interesting. Monitors, yeah.

00:18:25

So maybe they could hear.

00:18:27

Interesting. I have a hot take.

00:18:30

About Lady Gaga? Yeah. Did you watch The Toast yesterday? I don't think that you did. I didn't.

00:18:36

I'm sorry.

00:18:37

Because I caught up with stuff yesterday. No, I don't think that you did because it's so funny. Like, what you're saying is exactly what I said. Okay, so let me say this. And what you're about to say is also what I said.

00:18:45

So I don't want to say she ruined it by any... Because whatever Gaga's around.

00:18:48

And Die with a Smile, the number one song of the year.

00:18:50

I fucking loved her outfit, too. She showed up, she knew the vibes, and she slayed the house down. Hair, glam, everything. It was such a bad arrangement of the song. I actually liked the music. They were giving it that mariachi, Latin, but she didn't change- Mariachi. I'm hanging out with you too much. Sorry, mariachi. They gave it that very Latin flair, which I love.

00:19:16

It was a great idea.

00:19:17

It was. And then she started singing just the regular old vocals, and I was shook.

00:19:23

As I said yesterday, it was a mashup that did not mesh.

00:19:25

Yes, it should have been a meshup, but it was a messup.

00:19:28

It was a messup. It It was like that was playing while that was playing. It's like someone turned the music off.

00:19:33

I'm trying to think of because it was also a time recently where maybe this happens a lot, where the performer didn't sing with the guests. They just gave the floor to the guests. It did feel weird and random.

00:19:46

I'm not mad. And guests sing their own song that has nothing to do with the performer.

00:19:50

Yeah, it was so fucking random.

00:19:52

And I'm sure Bruno's watching that.

00:19:54

They definitely invited Bruno.

00:19:56

What about me?

00:19:57

Yeah. Somebody said on Twitter, So mad, but chained to the basement of the casino that he owes money to. I saw that on Twitter.

00:20:06

I was like, Oh. And his Super Bowl is not paid, so he couldn't go.

00:20:08

Correct. He only gets out of his cage for paid affairs. So I No, no, no. Like, Lady Gaga actually cannot do anything wrong in my essence.

00:20:18

No, and she didn't do anything wrong.

00:20:19

She didn't. She also did the job that she was paid there to do. But the overall direction of her part felt really random.

00:20:25

It felt misdirected. Yeah. I agree.

00:20:28

A for effort. I I love Ricky Martin.

00:20:30

A for effort. Great idea. Bad execution. Still enjoyed. Never going to complain about Gaga.

00:20:36

I'm trying to think of what they could have done better. Like, Lady Gaga sings in German. She sings in... She would have learned a Spanish song.

00:20:42

No, I like Die with a Smile, Mariachi Edition. I do. Do it right.

00:20:46

No, because it also doesn't involve Bad Bunny.

00:20:49

Oh, that's okay.

00:20:50

They could have sang like a Selena song, you know?

00:20:52

No, or they could have done a Lady Gaga song that would mesh better with mariachi.

00:20:58

Well, of course, yes. It was just weird. I thought Ricky Martin was a, not obvious, actually, because I wouldn't have guessed him, but a good person to bring out. I like when people bring people out. I think a lot of times people feel too proud. They have to do it themselves. It's fine. It's good.

00:21:13

I like it both ways. I It depends on the person. Sometimes when Lady Gaga did it herself, I loved that.

00:21:19

The weekend should have brought someone out.

00:21:21

Yeah, it depends. Yeah.

00:21:23

So I enjoyed it. I know it was this big, what will it be? And you know what? It was exactly what I think his vibe is, and I enjoyed it. I am personally, and this is just a selfish thing, I'm ready for a pop girly. We had Rihanna. Ever since Jay-Z took over for Apple Music, he really widened. It used to be, I feel, back to back, the pop girlies were holding it down. Even Bruno Mars. So when Jay-Z took over, he expanded it quite a bit and just my own selfish, I'm ready for a pop girly or a country star. So if Jay-Z is listening, that's just what one person, turdy, wants. I would appreciate that. But beyond that, it was a boring game. It's also my first Super Bowl, being a parent, definitely less fun.

00:22:08

Yeah, that was the big theme yesterday. We were like, Oh, the anthem, you mean during bath time?

00:22:14

Yeah, we had to pause because I was doing bath time. We have to talk about the anthem.

00:22:18

We have to talk about Charlie Pooth. Do you have something to say?

00:22:20

I was wrong. And it's so funny because some of the hate that I get is like, Cheri never admits me. She's wrong, mostly when it comes to the Maldoni lively case, and I'm seriously not history- We don't have time for that today.

00:22:31

I'm sorry.

00:22:31

History will be on my side. Jack is like, Shut the fuck up. We can't take any more hate.

00:22:36

No, I'm saying the clock is running. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a 20-minute dive. Sorry. Dive into the hole.

00:22:41

All set to say, I'm always happy to admit when I'm wrong, and I had very low expectations of Charlie Pooth, and I thought he did such an amazing job paying honor to our country, but to also the greats before him. And he had posted a TikTok about how Whitney Houston's version is the greatest- Like the pressure to do the anthem when this one exists. And then he also shared that his arrangement did sample her arrangement, and he really just tried to do the whole thing with such respect for everyone and everything. I saw him being accused of using autotune because his voice is so perfect, but that's just his thing. And I feel like it was a great night for Charlie Pooth. It was also a very great night for Taylor Swift because she is right. Charlie Pooth should be a bigger artist. It was so impressive. For me, if you want me to like something, put a gospel choir in there. I will be shaking my titties. I take me to Church Mama. He had all the elements of it. He also played an instrument live, so he is being compared to Chris Stapleton, who recently did it vocally.

00:23:38

It's hard enough to focus on the voice, let alone the piano or whatever in front of you.

00:23:42

Chris Stapleton- And then some people do too much. They're like, I want to give the anthem my all. They're trying to prove- And they are trying to prove that they can sing and play. And it's like, just do it good. We don't care what you're having to prove to us.

00:23:53

He didn't look nervous. His voice didn't shake.

00:23:56

But it felt like he understood the magnitude.

00:23:58

Yes, that's what I mean. There was so much respect respect for everyone and everything in the performance.

00:24:03

That came before him. For our founding fathers, it felt like there was respect for the country, for the flag, for- For the founding mothers, Whitney Houston.

00:24:08

For our troops. Yes, everything. I had chills.

00:24:11

He really... He understood all.

00:24:13

He had the assignment. Yeah. I thought Coco Jones was incredible. I can tell she was really nervous. So I felt like her voice had a little bit of a tremble to it in the beginning. I was not familiar with her game, vocally, insane. I don't remember them doing a concert ever before.

00:24:29

Yeah, Green Day.

00:24:30

Green Day. Ben was doing bath time, so he was like, I don't even know.

00:24:32

We decided to not tell him that it happened. I don't think he knows. I don't think he didn't know that was happening because if he knew that he missed it, we'd have to go back and watch it again. And we're like, if he never knew that this happened, he wouldn't be upset that he missed it. Let's just move forward.

00:24:45

And then they had all the players standing around. It was a little awkward, but it was fun. It was fresh. It was different. What else can I tell you? The commercials, maybe I'm just a jaded consumer. They did not do it for me in the way that I think in years past, I was making people be quiet during the commercials.

00:25:04

Like my game is on. Yeah.

00:25:07

It's very hard to stand out, I think, these days, and now people do pre-commercials. And we saw the Fanatics one. That's still the best one, I think. I love the Pepsi one.

00:25:16

Oh, yeah. The Pepsi Zero Sugar one.

00:25:18

Yes. And this Super Bowl recap is brought to you by Pepsi Zero Sugar. I loved their commercial. First of all, it says to feel represented in modern media. And a fun fact about me that a lot of people I don't know is I prefer Pepsi. I actually really do. I think that we get so bogged down by labels in this country.

00:25:40

In society.

00:25:41

In society. And we're label obsessed. What about the product?

00:25:46

What about quality?

00:25:48

What about taste? I love to see a commercial taking that conversation seriously. I really related to that cola loving bear in the commercial, working Going through those feelings. I went through that process. He's a little delayed. I went through that process years ago. I had been making Pepsi Zero Sugar and the Pepsi brand. I had been making them cool for years. But it was nice to see my personal experience being represented on the world's greatest stage.

00:26:17

On the big screen. You experienced the Pepsi paradox for yourself- Years ago. Years ago. When everything is taken out, labels, brands, and you're looking at and tasting two products, you're going Pepsi Zero Sugar.

00:26:32

And we've always said that. We've always said quality over image. I get it. I've been in a place where I've become obsessed with what people think of me and the world's perception. And much like that bear, when you have that come to life moment, it can be devastating at first, and then you're unstable.

00:26:53

Your world opens up.

00:26:55

So during the 2025 revival of the Pepsi Challenge, did you guys, you might not know this, 66% 100% of people said that they preferred the taste of Pepsi zero sugar over Coca-Cola zero sugar. Pepsi won 100% of markets in the 2025 Pepsi Challenge. Yes, even Atlanta. Enter the Pepsi paradox. I have chills just talking about it. It's so shocking. And I am a certified Pepsi girl, and I feel like when people label you like diet soda, they never say Pepsi.

00:27:21

No, and everyone wants to say, this one's better, that one's better. But there's nothing more truth-telling than a blind taste test.

00:27:27

I highly recommend. I want everyone to stop and and think about what they think they know about these beverages and give Pepsi zero sugar a chance. You're going to be floored at the taste. And much like the bear, you don't have to do a blind taste test. I mean, you can and film it for TikTok. But you don't need to put a blindfold on. Try and leave everything you know about these brands at the door. And I think that's what we're always saying, right? About being open to changing your mind and not doing what you just think the world wants you to do or say.

00:28:01

No, and not staying on the surface.

00:28:03

I'm trying not to-not surface lyrics. I'm trying not to get emotional about the commercial, but it's so much deeper than that. Do you know what I mean? I think as you get older, I don't know. I think you care less about these I'm actually getting choked up. Like...

00:28:17

Labels, call me what you want.

00:28:18

Yes. I love Pepsi Zero Sugar.

00:28:20

I'm a Pepsi Zero Sugar loving bear. That's who I am. It chills. Just actually- That's why I wear these bears, to represent the Cola loving bear who prefers Pepsi Zero Sugar.

00:28:30

And it was actually quite emotional to see him go through that journey, don't you think?

00:28:33

And to be able to admit, Maybe I've been wrong.

00:28:36

And that's a theme of today's episode. I said it just a few minutes ago. I am not one too big to admit when I've been wrong.

00:28:44

No, neither was he.

00:28:46

It was nice to see that represented on the world's largest stage.

00:28:49

It was. I think that's a message, literally everyone could learn from.

00:28:52

In all aspects of your life, but especially about what we're putting into our bodies.

00:28:56

Yeah, especially about Tais. Just because you've done something one for so long. It's never too late to change.

00:29:02

And of course, I hate to make everything about myself, but I feel as though I must.

00:29:06

But I think that's the point of a good commercial is to see yourself in it and make it about yourself.

00:29:10

I feel vindicated, of course. I have been ahead of the curve the entire time. And I think a lot of people are now coming to this conclusion after seeing it on such a big stage. And it does feel I'm better than everyone. I had this realization, actually 10 years ago. I want to say when I was in college.

00:29:31

And we could say turdy was right, which would balance out when you said you were wrong earlier. Now you're like, the skills are evened.

00:29:38

And it's, again, not to make everything about myself. It does feel like people are confronting their life choices as a result of this commercial. And I confronted those choices years ago. Yeah. You didn't need this push.

00:29:52

You're bigger than everyone else, but it's good that other people are now seeing what you've already seen and tasting what you've already tasted.

00:30:00

I highly recommend you trying Pepsi Zero Sugar. Do your own mini Pepsi challenge with your loved ones. Have those hard conversations. That's really fun. Have those hard conversations, and you will not regret it. Don't let the label decide. Let your taste decide.

00:30:14

That's really beautiful. And a message that I want to take into all aspects of daily life.

00:30:19

And specifically the Fast Five, of course.

00:30:20

And specifically the Fast Five. Our next story.

00:30:24

Okay, we're done with it. Let me just think, anything else about the Super Bowl.

00:30:26

Anything else about the Super Bowl.

00:30:28

Licks and raid?

00:30:29

Oh, we I talked about it yesterday. I mean, we can't get a bigger Lix Rad fan.

00:30:33

Than Olivia Ashray?

00:30:34

Than Olivia Ashray. Did you hear her? Of course.

00:30:36

She's so funny. Did you see the video? It came out today, him grabbing her to she? No. It was just like, it actually wasn't a grab. I want to say it was like a soft caress. It was quite lovely.

00:30:46

Where is it, Dumois? She's the leading source.

00:30:48

Shout out to Dumois. I feel like Dumois went through a shakeup where people stopped trusting Dumois. During COVID, it was like the Bible, and then there were a couple... And I just feel like she didn't know what to do with her platform. And now she is the leading news source on Alex or Tom Brad. And I'm happy for her to have found her new niche. And personally, she's my go-to. I live for it.

00:31:11

Yeah, I do. I've actually noticed a change in Dumois.

00:31:14

I feel like- It's not really like blind items anymore.

00:31:16

No, it's more like a media site.

00:31:18

I feel like they've hired- It's very boots on the ground.

00:31:20

People like this. It's like a- Just Jared.

00:31:23

E-news. Yeah, but it's very internet, which I think is smart.

00:31:26

Everything is packaged for virality.

00:31:28

It's brilliant. I I think she's slang, even though she's getting hate because she posted the allegedly AI photo of Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian kissing. People are like, Please do not post AI-generated content. She can't prove that it is AI, and she can't prove that it is it.

00:31:42

She posted this photo as AI. Oh, She did? Yeah, it's in the caption.

00:31:46

Oh, okay. Well, that's that.

00:31:48

Yeah.

00:31:51

So Alex Earle and Tom Berdie. He touched her, she...

00:31:54

That's really crazy. It was crazy what? I mean, I'm sure they're doing crazier, but that's really wild.

00:31:58

It was crazy on Super Bowl stage. They did the Hall of Fame. Everybody came out of that photo booth with their jackets on. And it was just crazy to see him there. It's like, Oh, that's Alex Earle's situationship. Yeah.

00:32:08

They were both on the field.

00:32:10

That's my girl right there. I just love her. Slay Mama.

00:32:12

You think... So now you think so now you think they're...

00:32:15

Yeah, well, they both do live in Miami. So I think that they- Entangled? Even though she's been exclusively in LA, I hope she doesn't move- Well, she came back for Sally's birthday. Yes, of course. I don't think Tom was at the 25-hour affair. I hope not.

00:32:25

He cannot hang.

00:32:27

I really hope, though, that she- Happy birthday, Sally. Have you heard of Sally? Hope your party was amazing. I know that she has a place in LA, and for Dents with the Stars, it was great. And it's good to have a place there because she probably has to go a lot for work. But I really hope she does not move to LA. I think there aren't a lot of things she could do right now that would derail her success. I'm not saying her moving to LA would, but I don't think it would be good. I think what people love about her is that she's just that girl from Miami. It's such a part of her image. And so he lives in Miami. So I think they've probably hung out between St. Bart's and now. Insane. Insane. Jane. What the fuck do they talk about?

00:33:04

Maybe, as Olivia said, being goats.

00:33:06

Yeah, goatness. Olivia is so funny.

00:33:09

Olivia is so funny.

00:33:10

I'm at a place where I've accepted. When I first saw them in St. Bart's, I was still in the shock phase of the whole thing. Now I'm in a digesting. Okay, I see you. Okay. I guess this is what we're doing.

00:33:26

Yeah. I'm still in disbelief. I actually I don't believe it, even though, allegedly, he grabbed her to she. But I do want to talk about some other goats. If we may switch subjects. Please. To the big news of the day, you two leered them, one gold at the Olympics. Jake Paul's fiance, she broke an Olympic speedskating record in Milano Cortina. Yesterday, she came in first place in the women's 1,000 meter. Jake posted a video of him- Hysterically crying. Hysterically crying when she crossed the finish line. Then when she saw that she won and she broke the record, they're so emo.

00:33:58

The Black tier, it was giving Lauren Conrad.

00:34:00

100 % because she always wears her iconic eye makeup, and then she got it together for the podium.

00:34:04

Oh, of course, no. And like, oh, good. This was one of my hallmark moments. I've been waiting when it comes to the Olympics, things I want to see was her speed skate. Not only did she win gold, which was her goal, she set a new Olympic record. So it was just an insane feat. And if you watch Paul American, you know that a part of their story is her personally sacrificing so much not being with her fiancé. And training for the sake of this goal. And even if she didn't get it, it would have been a valiant effort. But the fact that she did makes it all so worth it.

00:34:38

And now she can ride off in the sunset with Jake in peace, move to Puerto Rico, not always be chasing the Olympic dream because she's climbed the mountain, she's reached the summit, and now she can move on.

00:34:50

I also didn't realize how big of a deal she was in the Netherlands. She's like a Katie Ledecky. I was trying to think of a similar athlete. She's so beloved. And the announcers on the live broadcast were saying she's five million dollars. It was giving me so juggy. They were like, She's five million dollars. And then they cut to the broadcast in Dutch and how the commenters were screaming. She is this like a Michael Phelps of her generation, and she's so beloved.

00:35:20

The pride of her country.

00:35:21

I didn't know that people... Speedskating is a huge sport. To me, it's so random. But in the Netherlands, it's like swimming for us or figure-skating. So she She is this enormous... I didn't realize, and they had this whole party for her. Did you see her going on stage at this Dutch party? It's been such a fabulous saga of events. I love her.

00:35:45

No, I think she's my number one athlete in this Olympics of who I am rooting for.

00:35:49

Yeah.

00:35:51

And she won gold. This is amazing. I wonder if she still has more races or this is it.

00:35:55

I don't know. I saw her at the party and it was giving its over. I'm So she's just also the best influencer. She's like an Alona Mar type. Different types of content. But come with me. Here's what we're meeting at the Olympic Village, and I just live for it.

00:36:08

Yeah. And so she flew private. She did what she had to do. I completely endorse her decision to fly private. Also, they talked about in Paul and how she's had a bit of drama, like going out on her own as an independent contractor. She left the team that was training her because she wasn't getting what she needed. And so, yeah, she's like flying solo, literally, and she flew solo. And I'm fine with And it's actually amazing that it really speaks to her talent. And I feel like if she was sitting next to other people on the plane, she wouldn't have been able to win.

00:36:37

Also, I've been watching a lot of speed skating, and it's low key insane how they skate completely perpendicular. Like, oh, my God, my back could never. And so, yeah, she needs a big jet to stretch out on. She's training half bent over the entire day. Her back must kill her.

00:36:53

Well, no, because she's doing it right.

00:36:54

Yeah. It's been a wonderful way to end her athletic career.

00:37:00

And we need season 2 of Paul American because we need to see the behind the scenes.

00:37:03

I saw a camera. They were- Well, they film everything.

00:37:06

And then he wrote in his caption, You'll see it in the documentary. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a documentary about her.

00:37:11

Stop. I love her. And I guess she's moving to Puerto Rico. I know Jake Paul is packing up her things while she's at the race. Like, stop. I can't.

00:37:19

It was really beautiful.

00:37:21

It was. And it's just like, it's so impressive.

00:37:24

Yeah, it's so impressive.

00:37:27

Congrats, Utah.

00:37:28

No, this is so major.

00:37:30

Of the Neanderthals.

00:37:31

Of the Neanderthal speed skating team. Our next story. First promo just dropped for Taylor Franky Paul as the Bachelorette, wondering if she's worthy of love. So Taylor Franky Paul is our next Bachelorette. They put out a teaser video set to Look what You Made Me Do. She's walking through a hallway in a red dress with all content of her throughout the years on the walls. Then she buss through the glass, and she's like, Maybe I'll just be myself. And then she's wearing her Cozies and her Crocs. And that's what we have so far. The season premieres March 22nd.

00:38:04

It did ring me back. There was a time when the Bachelor promo dropped, and every year it was like, it was a Super Bowl.

00:38:11

Like a dress made out of flowers.

00:38:13

And then what song they were going to use. It literally made songs. I remember Fifth Harmony, That's My Girl. Any song they chose was the song of the year. Their impact at one point just reminded me this clip of how much has changed, of how big their impact was for my young adult life. It was given really scripted. It was weird.

00:38:31

I thought it was giving low budget.

00:38:32

I thought it was weird. Okay.

00:38:34

I hate to be a hater. I was glad that it wound up being the glam. The point of the glam was that it wasn't for her, and she shut it off because when I was watching her in that dress, I'm like, That dress is wearing her. It wasn't a moment at all. I was like, This is not glamorous. Maybe the point was to be like, Yeah, because she's not comfortable. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it just felt like low budget. You know the whole thing was on a green screen, so she's just walking around a green screen, and then they added all this I guess they're playing into a storyline, which is her life.

00:39:05

It's not a storyline, but that she chooses these terrible people because it's a projection of how she feels, how she sees herself. And I don't know, it didn't just give me a lot of confidence because I feel like when you go to the bachelor, you should be ready. You should have answered these questions.

00:39:22

No, I'm not feeling a lot of confidence in the actual relationship that will come out of the show. I think it will be I love her. I just want to watch her. But I agree. I don't know if she's ready to meet the one.

00:39:37

In past, when I think of the girls whose promo has stuck with me, it's like, they are so ready for this. They know who they are. They won't accept anything less. You're supposed to go on the bachelor journey when that self-discovery journey has ended. It feels like her self-discovery journey and her bachelor journey are the same journey.

00:39:58

That's never good. They say you shouldn't I can't do that.

00:40:00

You can't love someone until you love yourself.

00:40:02

You can't find someone until you find yourself. Yeah.

00:40:05

So not to be so deep, but it was a weird one.

00:40:07

Yeah. And then the promo picture is her busting out of a Barbie box, and it says, If you don't fit the mold, break it, with a bunch of things around her.

00:40:15

Wait, can we talk about... I sent it to you. I forget if it was New York magazine or New Yorker because I actually got them confused. I think it was New York. New York magazine did this cover story. Let me just read it. It was about how like, Muslims are taking over popular culture. I literally DMed it to you because I was so shocked. Okay. Yeah. So, I DM you a lot. Just give me two seconds.

00:40:34

We send a lot of content back and forth.

00:40:35

Oh, maybe I put it in text.

00:40:38

Or, yeah. Yeah, I think it's in our text. Okay.

00:40:42

So it was New York magazine, and it was One, two, three, four, seven Roman women. And it says, ding, ding. Do you have a moment to talk about how Romans conquered pop culture? A report from Utah. So on the cover is Taylor Franky Paul, Whitney Lyavit, and Jessie Draper from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Norman, Sex Lives, which are, of course, three Norman women. Then there's also Whitney Carson, representing how so many of the dance pros on 'Dancing with the Stars train in Utah and are Norman. Hannah Neely, of course, ballerina farm. Heather Gay, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Then in the back, Rachid Parcell, who is a fixture here. We talk about her all the time. She is one of the real O-G mommy Norman YouTube bloggers. When we think of mommy, mormon, she is the blueprint. Everybody copies her. She's got the big house. She's got the 100 kids. She is that girl. Now, the weird thing, and why I sent it to Jackie is because we've got Taylor, Frankie Paul.

00:41:32

Run and center, and then everyone else like...

00:41:34

Fans out. Yeah. And it's interesting because a lot of being a public figure and just being a woman is we notice when you look different. The picture of Heather Gay is so recent. It is She says she's on a GLP-1. So it's post her glow up. It's present. It's present day. The Whitney Levet picture is her red hair. So it's like, seriously, from the last year, at least.

00:41:56

Yeah, but also she's also been on a journey. It's from yesterday.

00:42:00

She lost weight. It's literally from yesterday. The Jessie Draper photo, because Jessie Draper is always really public about her plastic surgeries procedures, and she just recently got one done, and she looks very different from it. This picture of Jessie Draper is from 24 hours ago. It's so recent. The picture of Rachel Parcell has to be 15 years old. It's so weird that they did that. It's so deliberate and mean.

00:42:26

But why her?

00:42:28

I don't know.

00:42:29

It's so I mean...

00:42:31

It's insane. She looks 17 in the picture. Yeah.

00:42:34

I think it's her wedding photo.

00:42:36

I don't know if it's meant to be shady or whatever.

00:42:38

Or lazy. They just looked up Rachel Parsell and didn't even know that she doesn't really look like that anymore because she's grown.

00:42:45

And it is... I got sidelined by the picture they chose for Rachel Parcell, but it is a good call about how like, normands really do right now in pop culture are taking over every major... I didn't even realize how all the dancing with the stars people are Utah normands. There is this obsession, fixation with Roman culture. And then, of course, the comments were so interesting to read because half the people were like, these people aren't Roman. Why are we listening to more?

00:43:12

Well, I just think they're fascinating. They're fascinating. They're beautiful and interesting. I think a lot of the things that they value are things that we find entertaining. Interesting. Yeah. Like, beauty and family.

00:43:26

Right. I think a huge tenet in their religion is seeking perfection. Like, always to be doing your best, looking your best, family. So that makes for good TV and just good interesting things to follow.

00:43:39

I'm sure the church isn't thrilled about it because they would rather see perfect Normands or whatever. But I think that actually it's a net positive for a Mormon Q score.

00:43:52

I completely agree. I bet the church is pissed about it, but I feel like it's done more- Especially considering the last big thing was Book of Norman. So that's what I was going to is that up until the Real House Lives of Salt Lake City and all these shows, the only real thing I knew about Normanism was that Broadway show. I saw it. They made the best for the Mormons. No. I imagine that they're thrilled with the change.

00:44:17

The change of tone. Yeah. But I don't think they're thrilled. No. But I do think it is better. It is good for them.

00:44:25

Yeah, me too.

00:44:26

Our next story. Oh, Mark Anthony He was speaking out about the Beckham family feud, the man at the center of the drama. Oh, I didn't see this. So Mark Anthony told the Hollywood reporter he was discussing the drums, and he said, They're a wonderful, wonderful family. He said, I've known them since before the kids were born. I'm godfather to Cruz. I'm really close to the family, but I have nothing to say about what happened there. It's extremely unfortunate how it's playing out, but how it's playing out is hardly the truth, he said.

00:44:55

Okay, so he said a whole bunch of nothing, but then a little at the end.

00:44:58

So he's at the center of the drama because allegedly, he performed at the wedding a very romantic special song, and he called him the most beautiful woman in the room, Victoria Beckham.

00:45:05

And apparently, it was this- Which makes him the villain in the story.

00:45:09

Unless Victoria told him to do that, it was just him wanting to celebrate his beautiful friend, Victoria Beckham.

00:45:14

Yeah.

00:45:17

Before Brooklyn and Nicola had their first dance. And apparently, Brooklyn and Victoria weren't supposed to have a dance, which is disgusting for boy mamas everywhere.

00:45:25

Agreed. I know I see things through my own lens, but that's definitely where my mind went. No, So if it was a surprise mother-son dance, that means there was no dance to begin with?

00:45:33

I'm on the side of reels of boy... I don't want to say toxic boy mamas. It's like boy mamas who stand with Victoria Beckham. Oh, that's beautiful. Yeah. And it's like all of them dancing the Spice Girls, I'm not talking about how they're going to dance. Mama, I love you. At their son's wedding.

00:45:50

Mama, I kill. Okay. I didn't see that Mark Anthony had spoken out. I was waiting for him to something. And while he didn't really get involved, you could read between the lines, and he's saying, They're a bunch of lying snobs. He's saying, Fuck that bitch, Nikola. Lying snobs, yeah.

00:46:07

Lying brats. Brats. I'll ship them off to Switzerland.

00:46:13

Perentrap? Yeah.

00:46:15

Perentrap was like a side of It Takes Two. You know what I mean? Because Clarice and Meredith Blake are the same person.

00:46:22

Nobody talks enough about It Takes Two. Rest in peace, Kirstie Alley. One of the best movies ever made. And Who's Dennis Quaid? No, I'm getting confused with parent trap. Who's the hot dad? It feels like Dennis Quaid. Who Kirstie Alley.

00:46:36

But it also feels like the dad from Little Giants.

00:46:40

It Takes Two, IMDb, 1995. I need to watch this movie again. Alyssa and Amanda. So real.

00:46:48

Alyssa and Amanda.

00:46:51

The cast is- Steve Guttenberg. Oh, of course. Steve Guttenberg. He's so fucking classic. Roger Callaway. Yeah. I fucking love this movie. Loki, there was a time where Kirstie Ali was banging out, Look Who's Talking, that movie with John Travolta about the Babies Who Talk. I need to rewatch it because it's the best movie ever made.

00:47:12

Yeah.

00:47:13

And then I think they came out with three sequels because it was that good, and each sequel was amazing.

00:47:17

And Clarice got...

00:47:19

Who's the actress who plays Clarice?

00:47:20

Jane Sibbet. She got shoehorned into playing like mean. Evil Stepmother. Yeah, because she was also in Au pair. I see her. Remember that movie?

00:47:28

Of course, I remember Au pair. That was a crazy movie.

00:47:32

It was an amazing movie. And it did, I think, really good wonders for the Au pair community. Everyone wants an Au pair.

00:47:39

There's nothing more fabulous.

00:47:40

Than an Au pair? Yeah. But it's not what you think it is. No, I know.

00:47:43

But I'm saying it's an au pair, so it is.

00:47:45

But it sounds really fabulous.

00:47:47

Yeah, no. The life of an au pair is actually really dark. Really? Yeah. You get paid nothing, and a lot of the dads are predatory because it's just an excuse to hire a beautiful young woman. Yeah. I think I'm going to get a gouverness. A governess.

00:48:00

A governess is what you think an au pair is.

00:48:03

Correct.

00:48:04

You need a gouverness.

00:48:05

Big time. Will you be my gouverness?

00:48:07

I would be an amazing gouverness. You would. Dream job.

00:48:11

Yeah, literally. Living a castle.

00:48:14

Are you ready for our fifth and final story?

00:48:15

I am.

00:48:16

Kim Kardashian appears to be cheered on by Lewis Hamilton as she attempts the Titanic challenge with her sisters, Chloe and Kim. So, shockingly, last night, Kylie posted a video of the sisters doing the Titanic challenge.

00:48:26

Did you also think it was a throwback video?

00:48:29

No, I was more so listening because there were a lot of men laughing in the background. It was like giving date night. I was thinking Timothée's there because Kylie posted it and the sisters were hanging out and men were laughing. I guess it could have been Rob, but that's so not interesting.

00:48:43

No, I feel like Rob doesn't hang out with them.

00:48:44

It better not have been Rob. But now they're saying that they think it's Lewis Hamilton hanging with the sisters. But I could also see Lewis and Timothée wanting to hang. Oh, definitely.

00:48:52

I really thought. I don't know if there was a filter on the video. It looks like a Snapchat video from the King Kylie era, and she was reposting it.

00:48:59

Well, the vibes were Snapchat of giggling in the living room. Yeah, okay.

00:49:02

That was stupid. And like, Kylie never hangs out with her sister, so I thought for sure she was posting this throwback video from the last time she hung out with her sister.

00:49:07

Right. Because she doesn't post stuff like this anymore. I was honestly shocked that she posted. It was just like so silly.

00:49:11

And Kim had a long ponytail. It was giving like the Miami era. Yeah. Okay. I'm not...

00:49:17

Okay. But I don't think it was a throwback at all. I think it was like last night or the night before. Well, the night before was Super Bowl. So literally like, in real time.

00:49:23

Maybe it's been the Super Bowl night. Maybe they were all watching. Oh, no, Kim was at the Super Bowl. At the game.

00:49:28

And Chloe and Kylie were, and but Kendall was.

00:49:31

I wasn't looking in the background trying to hear voices because I thought, I don't know, it was probably like, Ray J in the background. I thought it was so old.

00:49:38

Chris Humphreys. No, so there were like men chuckling, and I thought it was Timothée because it like- Men should never laugh.

00:49:44

Like, never. Broke bitches should never laugh. Sorry, continue.

00:49:51

But it seems to be Lewis Hamilton. I don't know why you guys think Lewis. I'm going Timothée, but it could also be both. It was multiple people hang night.

00:50:01

I don't think Timothy would find this funny. I couldn't see him laughing at this.

00:50:04

But if Kylie thought it was funny and he loves Kylie. I don't think she would do something that he finds stupid.

00:50:12

Yeah. They also have been together for five years. I think they think less about, should I do this in front of him?

00:50:17

I think they're comfortable around each other. Just to guess. Yeah. And really happy.

00:50:21

The way I actually don't care that Kim's dating Lewis Hamilton. It's so not doing it for me.

00:50:25

I agree. It's actually doing the opposite for me.

00:50:28

But I think that's more so a reflection of I'm personally at with Kim. It's nothing about Lewis self. Which is just a real indifference.

00:50:36

I was talking about this with Olivia yesterday when she was asking which one you vibe with the most. I was just saying- Chloe. But it also changes.

00:50:42

Yeah, sorry. Chris.

00:50:44

Chris is a But also, Kylie.

00:50:46

Yeah, but Kylie says nothing. When I'm talking about the show- And by the way, sometimes- Courtney. Sometimes Courtney, from Sweeting Mama.

00:50:52

Sometimes Kim. There was a period a couple of years ago.

00:50:56

Yes.

00:50:56

It's not like she's done something wrong, but you just... You evolved. Everything It flows, and it's all good. It's all good vibes.

00:51:02

Yeah, but to me, Chris is who she is, and she has been forever. So I'm going Chris.

00:51:07

But I also could... If Kim dated someone interesting to me right now, it could change every... It could bust the case wide open. It's true. And instead, she's not.

00:51:15

She needs to just do something different and be like someone ugly and poor.

00:51:19

No, no. Sure. But also a celebrity, even when she did a Pete Davidson, that was so interesting. It was so box. Yeah, something different. And so buzzy. And I'm open It'll be hard for her, though. Even if she was dating Tom, Katie, I'd be like, Yon.

00:51:33

Agreed.

00:51:35

I'll have to noodle on it.

00:51:36

Yeah.

00:51:37

Noodle.

00:51:38

Let's do Deer Toaster, which is brought to you by Taylor Farms' Chops Salad Kids.

00:51:43

Oh, yummy.

00:51:44

You know, we love salad. We are like- We are salad. Beacons of health. We also are salad. You never know what to expect. We're just a mix of different things.

00:51:51

You can mix it up, put it in a blender.

00:51:53

But making a salad is so much work, so many dishes. Who wants to do that? Not me. Then when it comes to bag salad, it's a nice idea in theory, but I think a lot of times the brands fall flat.

00:52:01

The execution, it's very difficult for everyone except Taylor Farms.

00:52:05

So Taylor Farms' chopped Salad Kids, they are bag salad. And before you have any preconceived notions, they are so fresh. They are pre-washed. You know what's so funny?

00:52:11

I've been eating Taylor Farms for so long that I only have the best association With bag salad.

00:52:15

So it's changing what you thought you knew.

00:52:17

It's giving the- Rising tides.

00:52:20

Yes. Rise all shides. So they are chopped salad kits. The ingredients are pre-washed, pre-choped. The recipe, so it's not just like... They do have standard Caesar salad. But if you want to get a little bit more creative, like Salads can get a little boring. They've got an Everything, like Everything bagel vibes, a Mediterranean Crunch, avocado Ranch, an Asian salad. Of course, your standard Caesar. They've got Mexican street corn. The flavors are really there. Super convenient. You can eat it right out of the bag. If you're like, out on the go, if you want to be a little bit more civilized, you can put it in a bowl that is allowed. Also, it doesn't even have to be just for yourself. If you're having a dinner party and you need a salad, no one's eating a salad, but you can't not have a salad because then you look gross. Throw a couple of Taylor Farms right in a bowl. You'll be perfect. Having Making the choice to eat a salad is hard enough. Making it should not be a problem. If I can do it, you can do it, too. Grab a Taylor Farms' Chop Salad Kit and get your salad together today.

00:53:08

00:55:36

Thank you, Dr. Tert.

00:55:37

You're welcome. All right, Dear Toaster is our weekly advice segment where we try to help out our community. You guys support us so much. We want to support you. We take three submissions every week from Girlies in Need, whether they're experiencing marital issues, workplace issues, friend issues. We try to give our tough love, old Jewish mother advice. If you want to write in, our email is deartoosters@gmail. Com, or you can head over to our website, thetoastpodcast. Com. Scroll down little submission box. Both are totally anonymous. We'll never blow up your spot. We don't use real names or things of that nature. Hello, Swerlies. I recently found out that my boyfriend's family created a separate group chat without me, but included the other brother's girlfriend. Am I wrong for feeling upset that he didn't tell me and that he never asked anyone in his family why the new chat was created without me. I'm newer to the family and I'm trying to be understanding, but it makes me sad to think that he didn't even question it when the new chat was made or give me a heads up about it. By the way, his mom is the one who added me to the original chat, not him.

00:56:28

Okay. I don't think this is a big deal. I think there are a lot of permutations of chat, and whichever chat pops off just speaks to the nature of the people in the chat. But there's no reason why that chat should be more vibrant than the chat that you're in. And if you want to be involved in more chat things, then write in the chat you're in and make that the one. Sure.

00:56:46

I also think it's just simply a seniority thing. Like, family chats, I don't know how serious people take it, but you really only get added when you're like... And you said that this girlfriend has been with the brother longer than you. So I just feel like maybe your time not in yet. And it's actually nice that they have a chat with you. But the O-G family chat, you haven't been there long enough to be a part of. And your boyfriend not telling you, I want to say, one, he's a man he probably didn't notice or really care. And two, it was probably more in service of your feelings. Why do you need to know about a chat that you're not in?

00:57:19

Yeah, I agree. And you are in a chat. Right. Which is nice. And there are just a lot... Normalize having all different combinations of chats without this person, without that.

00:57:27

Because what's worse than being in a chat that doesn't apply to you? Right. This is so Kardashian's talking about the chats.

00:57:33

But we have so many chats and some- I guess someone could be like, Oh, my God, how am I not in that chat? Well, it's like, it doesn't hurt you. It doesn't apply to you. It doesn't apply to you. And the one that applies to you, you are in. There is a version that applies to you.

00:57:45

Yeah. I think you're looking way too much into the chat.

00:57:47

I'm trying to think of like- And if you guys get married and everything, you will be in this chat forever. It's all coming. You don't need to rush this stuff.

00:57:54

Yeah, I agree. And I certainly wouldn't be mad at your boyfriend. There are definitely things you should be mad at him for. I'm sure he didn't take out the garbage, but this is really not one of them. No. It's so important to pick our battles.

00:58:04

Yeah, I agree. And this comes in time. I feel like people, I don't know how long you've been dating for, but I feel like people just think that they are owed this just by dating. No, All of it, first of all, it unfolds organically when you are needed, when they're going on a trip and let's have a chat. You can't just be like, put me in the chat. No. When there's a group photo, you want to send it to everyone, then all of a sudden we have a chat. Let the chips fall where they may.

00:58:30

Let the chats fall where they may.

00:58:33

Don't force it. It will happen organically if you continue on this path.

00:58:37

If you force it and they put you in, and then it's like no one's going to write in the chat because it's just awkward.

00:58:41

There are things that just- Not for everyone. Not for everyone all the time. You will get there. Then soon you'll be in the chat and you don't stop writing and you're like, Get me out of the chat. Just accept where you are right now.

00:58:52

This next one felt deeply personal. Oh. Hello. Is this postpartum rage or am I justified? Which could be a whole new segment, I just want to say, because nobody talks about postpartum rage. I actually had a lot of pregnancy rage, too. People talk a lot about the different emotions. A lot of people get very emotional, very sad or whatever. I experienced mostly rage, fiery, passionate rage, mostly directed at bed. I'm a new mom and I love my husband. He's never given me a reason to question him. After numerous asks to throw away his vape, because we have a daughter now, and swearing that he was done, I caught him on the security camera using one again. When I confronted him, he completely lied a little too well. And only when I confessed that I watched him on the camera did he slowly then start to admit to it, saying that he lied because he knew that I didn't like the vape. Is this shady? Am I being hormonal? What is the proper reaction?

00:59:39

To me, sitting here, having no personal stake in it, this doesn't sound like a huge deal. However, to you, there have been multiple crimes committed here that have to do with your daughter's health, your partner's health, lying, trust, betrayal, all of this while you are in a very fragile state. So I understand for you, dear reader, why you're seeing red, and I'm not going to stop you.

01:00:00

I am coming at this as a former vape addict, just to perhaps color the situation a little bit. I want to assume that he's trying his best. It's so hard. Might I recommend quit with Jones? I don't think you should reprimand him.

01:00:20

No, I'm putting myself in her shoes. I'm irate. I've just been pregnant for 10 months. I've just given birth. Perhaps I'm breastfeeding. I'm giving everything I have to our child. You can't stop vaping for one minute, and then you would lie to my face. The woman who birthed your... Oh, I'm sick. I'm sick. It's not about the vape.

01:00:39

No, I do sympathize.

01:00:41

The fact that you can't make one small change when I change everything about myself, my body, my mind.

01:00:48

Sorry, not me taking the side of the husband.

01:00:50

That's what I mean. When I sit here, I'm like, from the outside, I'm like, Oh, he vaped, whatever. But no, no, no. When I'm in that bed, I'm holding that baby, and I see my husband sleeping on the camera, oh, I'm sick.

01:00:58

And of course, it does make me the obsession with putting this phallic-like thing in his mouth, perhaps he's gay. You can't stop sucking on the vape. Well, maybe that explains some other things.

01:01:11

I'm mad for you.

01:01:12

Yeah, no. The more... Jackie's right.

01:01:14

I forgot. You're entitled to be enraged. It's not a big deal, though.

01:01:20

And don't let this steal your joy. No. This is such a joyful time.

01:01:23

But this is the exact thing that just gets a postpartum woman riled up because when we've done what we've done, Did we really have to do everything? You have no excuse to step out of line when we've done what we've done.

01:01:36

Considering what we have done.

01:01:38

And what we will do and what we are doing.

01:01:40

And what we will continue to do, mind you.

01:01:43

There's no excuse.

01:01:45

Yeah. And also send him a quit with Jones. We have a code. It's not about the thing. No, it's like now you have to find a solution for him.

01:01:52

It's about disrespect and the refusal to change and improve. When I've done what I've done. It's true.

01:02:00

It's really beautiful. Okay, ready for our next to third and final. My husband wants to quit his very well-paying job. His boss is very toxic, and my husband is very miserable. The problem is he doesn't really have a backup plan. He wants to freelance. He's confident that he'll make even more money than he does now in his field by freelancing, and he will have much more freedom and flexibility. He doesn't want to wait to find a backup plan. He's so over it and ready to use our emergency savings in the interim. Also, this is not the first time he's gotten really sick of a job because of a terrible boss. Our corporate boss is usually terrible managers, or is my husband the It's very possible your husband has had multiple toxic bosses. I would like to know how many. Is it every single one? Because then it's like, yeah, you're the problem. But the thing is, I don't really care. One thing about me, my toxic traditionalist comes out in Deer Toaster. I'm like, I'm sorry, this man is a provider. That's his literally job. And his boss is toxic. What are you, a girl?

01:02:52

Like, figure it out. I literally don't care about his happiness. And if he wants to quit and be a freelancer, He now needs to spend the next six months to a year building a freelance business, seeing... You can't just figure it out. I'm sorry, you're a man.

01:03:07

No, there's bills to pay while you're figuring it out.

01:03:10

Jackie. If he had this side hustle that he thought he could take full-time, there was a little bit of infrastructure there. I would say, You know what? Maybe he could take a little bit of a risk.

01:03:18

You never quit your full-time job until your side hustle eclipses that.

01:03:23

That's my biggest issue with Shark Tank. They always get mad at people who have full-time jobs. It's like, Sorry, I have a family to feed. Hate that shit. Toxic entrepreneur culture. No, you can build your side hustle till it's at a point where you think if you then had X more hours in the day, you could really crush it. A little bit of a risk, a jump there. Having nothing, what are you? A 17-year-old girl? No, sorry. I say, Fuck, no. I don't even care if he's the toxic one. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Sorry, you have to go to work.

01:03:50

No. Someone who has an issue at every workplace, they are the problem.

01:03:54

But she said only this one and the one before. So maybe it definitely could be a coincidence. And there are a lot of corporate bosses and managers who are just so high on their own supply. There should be a study as to why people come the worst versions of themselves when they get a little bit of power in the corporate office. That's totally real. It's a power period. Yeah, that's totally real.

01:04:11

It is. But you go, you do your thing, you come home, and if you don't like it, work out. You have to have a plan B before you- Nights and weekends. Ditch plan A.

01:04:19

Nights and motherfucking weekends. Not cool. Not cool. I hate to get to the break up with your boyfriend thing, but like- Is it a boyfriend? It's a husband. I don't know. A husband who's not eager to to provide.

01:04:30

It sounds like he thinks he's eager to provide because he's going to go do... He's not saying like- Someone who's so risky.

01:04:35

That to me...

01:04:36

But this is a personal thing. And also pompous to think, Oh, I'll just consult. What if I just consulted?

01:04:41

This is definitely a personal thing. I'm aware of my own. Things that I really value are stability. I don't like to take risks, especially when it comes to money. I think a home needs to be a stable. Are you this willy-nilly freelance, flower hair in the wind type of gal? Or do you also value those pillars of stability and security? Because if that's the case, maybe it's not a match.

01:05:15

01:05:54

I love it. Jackie hates it.
