Good morning, girlies. It's The Toast.

00:00:08

It's Jackson Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know.

00:00:18

We'll start your day off swirly, It's The Toast.

00:00:22

They sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast. Happy Monday, Monderry's Super Bowl Monday. I'm here with Olivia O'Sher, aka Troutzkin.

00:00:35

Totally. And by the way, can we just do one for old time's sake? Like, good. I was waiting for that.

00:00:40

You know, times have changed around here.

00:00:42

No, I know, but it's so nostalgic for me.

00:00:44

For sure. Do you want to hit them with the good?

00:00:46

Yeah. Ready?

00:00:47

One. Together or just you? Together, of course.

00:00:50

I'm by myself. Embarrassing. Ready? One, two, three. Good morning, millennials. Hi, everyone.

00:00:59

Hi, Hi, Trout. Skin. Welcome to The Toast.

00:01:01

Thank you so much for having me. This is my favorite place on Earth.

00:01:04

Olivia is filling in for Claudia today. Claudia had something come up this morning, and I was like, Trout, you're up. Today is such an exciting day of Toast because we have Super Bowl recap. You're a great girly to have for our Super Bowl post-show recap because you're the marketer. Yeah, I am. And you dabble in football.

00:01:22

I dabble. You dabble.

00:01:24

You have knowledge.

00:01:24

I have knowledge. I have knowledge. Yeah.

00:01:26

And we all watched Super Bowl together at my house last night.

00:01:30

You did an amazing job. It was a lovely day.

00:01:33

We had a great day. Okay, first of all, I just want to say the Super Bowl being at 6: 30 PM, never again, please. It was so not it. I expected that it would be late afternoon. So I was like, oh, we're going to be home all day preparing for the Super Bowl. The kids will be home. So I got a bouncy house for the backyard so that they could bounce all afternoon and we could watch the game and they could be bouncing. It would be so much fun. But the bouncy house left by the time the game actually started.

00:01:58

But it was a great- Which inadvertently worked out.

00:02:01

It did work out. And plus, the kids love to watch football, so it did work out. But when I thought to have a bouncy house, it was because I thought we would be watching football all day, which didn't happen. We didn't watch football until what would be their bedtime ordinarily.

00:02:13

You know what's crazy? It's just like it's wild how big of a difference that one hour makes because I feel like normally the Super Bowl starts maybe closer to 5: 30, and this was starting 6: 30-ish. And that one hour, people call it witching hour, but for a reason. It was just like we were waiting for the game to start, and it was like, do you eat dinner? But you should wait.

00:02:32

But we've also been eating all day. We've been eating all day. So what's dinner even? I really feel like for the parents, it was not mama friendly. It was not mama friendly.

00:02:41

That's what I actually... That was a big thing that I wanted to talk about.

00:02:44

And I saw other mamas saying this as well. So I don't even think we're just sharing our own experience. And the game was on in my house the entire time we had a Super Bowl watching. I wouldn't say it was a party, but a gathering. It was a gathering.

00:02:59

Yeah, but by the way, when you I did not watch- More kids than adults. It's not going to be a party.

00:03:02

I did not watch one minute of the game until the last quarter when everyone was finally in bed. I had showered, I got in bed and I watched the end of the Super Bowl by myself in bed.

00:03:13

I was going to say I really didn't watch that much of the game either. Also, the game wasn't interesting enough for people to really, I think, dedicate. There wasn't that much going on. The score was so low the whole time. So it was just like, oh, you knew that honestly, you could get up and tend to your kid or get a snack or go to the bathroom because what was even going on?

00:03:31

No, three bath times, three bedtimes all during the course of the Super Bowl. That was my Super Bowl. Bedtime last night was my Super Bowl.

00:03:39

A hundred %.

00:03:41

Well, we're going to talk all things Super Bowl, halftime show, ads, openers, Charlie Pooh Charlie. He crushed it, you guys. He really did.

00:03:49

He really did. So did Coco Jones.

00:03:51

Oh, amazingly beautiful. We will recap all of that in our stories. Of course, Super Bowl will be first story. So before we get into the stories, which I feel like we'll do in a timely fashion because that's the news of the day.

00:04:02

That's what people want to hear, what we have to say.

00:04:03

Yeah, but I can't just over the fact that Trout is in studio. How are you, dear Trout?

00:04:08

Dear Trout is doing so great, my darling. How are you?

00:04:11

I'm good.

00:04:12

It was really hard for me to introduce you as Olivia O'Shery By the way, I saw that come out of your mouth. I know. Awkwardly. It's like when your kids call me Olivia. It's very awkward for me to hear. I'm like, Whose name is that?

00:04:23

But people are listening, and if I just lead with Trout, it could be their first day of listening to The Toast They don't know what Trout is. It could also be their fifth year, and they still don't know that Trout is Olivia. So I had to address you by your legal name, but it's Trout.

00:04:37

My legal name. I always come on The Toast, and I say, and I really mean this when I say it, you guys are growing so fast that I feel like every time I come on here, people don't even know about the other sister. And it is me, Olivia Trout. No, but Margot, people know. Oh, you think? Because she's influencing queen.

00:04:56

You think you're the hidden sister?

00:04:57

No, I'm not saying I'm hidden. I'm just saying I think people More times than not, I feel like when people find out there's another sister, it's like me. Like, Oh, you have another one?

00:05:08

Oh, that's so interesting. I don't feel that way, but this is your lived experience. That's your truth.

00:05:14

I'm not going to take that. No, the real ones, no. But as you're growing so fast, as you're growing so fast, people are just like, Oh, who's that girl? Who's the fish?

00:05:22

If this is your first day of toast, Claudia and I are sisters. I think that's always a big shocker. Totally. And we are two out of four We are sisters. We are the two middle children. Classic. Olivia is our oldest.

00:05:34

But you are older than Claudia, and I feel like a lot of people don't know that either.

00:05:37

Olivia, Jackie, Claudia, and then Margot, who's Snitch, a. K. A. Sachi.

00:05:42

Right. And she's like- Olivia thinks you all already knew that. I do. And Ben is Claudia's husband, boy with no job, celebrity chef.

00:05:50

Boy with no job and girl with no job. They both have jobs, though.

00:05:56

I'm so happy to be here, though. It's just always such a fun time.

00:06:00

It is a fun time.

00:06:01

And I haven't co-hosted The Toast with you in a while.

00:06:03

Since Claudia's maternity leave.

00:06:04

I was here. Claudia and Ben, we did the first ever non-Jacquie and Claudia episode, which was incredibly well received. So thank you. We had so much fun that day, too.

00:06:15

Yeah. What was that day?

00:06:18

Claudia had something and you were on maternity leave.

00:06:20

She was sick, maybe? No. I think I literally was giving birth that day. She was sick, yes. And I was on maternity leave already. And I think I went to... I had my doctor's appointment that morning that eventually put me into the process of labor.

00:06:34

Got it. Yeah, I don't remember what the date was about.

00:06:37

If I was just on my maternity leave before I gave birth, I could have just done the toast. But no, I think I was out of commish.

00:06:43

Oh, I remember something about it, actually. Something about it was... It was early November. Yeah, that's when I gave birth. All of the stories were about November third, because that was when Kraft Heinz came out with some weird... And I said something like, November third, big day. And everybody read into it and they were like, That was the day of Jackie had her baby. And I'm like, no, it's just like, November third came up in a bunch of stories.

00:07:04

People think we leave so many clues.

00:07:06

We're Taylor Swift. I can only speak for myself. I shouldn't say we. Way too lazy to think about leaving a fucking hint anywhere about anything. Just going about living our lives.

00:07:16

Yeah, just more so going about living our lives.

00:07:18

I think people are just also so accustomed to trying to read into everything thinking it means more than it actually does. When I'm just here to tell you, with respect to my life, it means nada.

00:07:28

It's paranoia, I I think. Sometimes we were talking about that when Claudia did Massinger. Because of course, people realized that it was Claudia. But then they also felt like on Wednesdays, that was the day Massinger was airing. Claudia usually does the ads. But the last few Wednesdays, I was doing the ads without Claudia, and they thought it was because Claudia couldn't do the ads on days where Massinger was airing.

00:07:51

It's seriously not that serious. That's what I'm saying.

00:07:54

It was more so she was rushing to a music class, so I just did them so that she could get out of here earlier.

00:07:58

You know what I mean? Of course. Of course. And that's the thing. It's like, that's why you can't assume because you make an ass out of you and me.

00:08:05

Thank you. That's really beautiful. I'll leave you with that. Other than that, it was a beautiful weekend. Olivia took us all to her favorite farmer's market.

00:08:13

Yes, I did. And honestly, Everybody really had a great time.

00:08:16

They did. You and Ben were thriving.

00:08:17

You like the farmer's market. I feel like sometimes it just also you have a new baby, but it just hasn't always jived with your schedule.

00:08:23

I haven't been to the Farmer's Market in a while. And I remember when I was going to the Farmer's Market more often, a year ago.

00:08:29

When I was forcing you to come with me every weekend?

00:08:31

Yeah. I remember I would talk about it a lot on the toast, just the inner conflict I feel at the farmer's market. And when I was back there this weekend, I felt it again because It's really hard for me to want to consume things from people's personal kitchens.

00:08:51

By the way, I said that- And people I don't know. By the way, do you remember that I said that on an episode of The Toast? It's like, if people knew you back in the day, you were the girl that really only ate stuff that was packaged up and sealed. You would never eat something that was homemade. It used to be like that, and now you make everything from scratch and whatnot.

00:09:11

But it's different. I still feel like, who is this stranger? What goes on in their kitchen?

00:09:17

It's incredibly fair.

00:09:19

The things in the farmer's market, they aren't regulated, right?

00:09:22

No, a lot of them are not. And it says it on there. It'll say this was made in somebody's house. I bought a jam once And it was so tasty. And then I looked at the label and it was like, I actually should look up the exact verbiage, but it basically said that this is not made with any oversight whatsoever.

00:09:41

And when it's your friend or your family, it's like, Oh, well, I trust this person. I've seen them wash their hands.

00:09:46

The thing about the farmer's market is that it is the same vendors week over week over week that I do feel like if somebody had, God forbid, gotten sick or there was an issue, do you know what I mean?

00:09:56

I don't think it would get sick or there would be an issue. I just think it could yucky and you would never know.

00:10:02

It could be, but your body is handling it fine.

00:10:04

Yeah, no, not about getting sick, but just about the yuckiness. But there are- So many things are yucky. Yes. And there are things at the farmer's market, like the produce.

00:10:13

The produce and the eggs, amazing. And that is predominantly what I go for.

00:10:17

I remember I bought eggs from farm. What are they there? Like farm fresh eggs. The blue eggs? Yeah. I remember last year, I bought eggs from the farmer's market. I don't know if I ever used them. They just sat on my counter staring at me because I was like, I don't know what's in these eggs. Who is this farmer?

00:10:30

But that's any...

00:10:31

Deer farmer.

00:10:32

Deer farmer is probably better than like...

00:10:34

No, no. Other eggs have oversight.

00:10:36

But that oversight, I feel like sometimes it's actually worse. I agree. No, no.

00:10:40

That's why... What I can say inner conflict. There's one guy at the farmer's market.

00:10:43

He has a bakery, and he has a bakery, and he used to have a storefront. And then now he just does the Farmer's Market circuit. So I'm like, I feel like your baked goods are legit because you understand. He probably cooks in a commercial kitchen. His pastries are delicious. But I'm predominantly going for the produce and the- You just have to have faith. Yeah, or things- I get like, honey, like things that are just maybe in jars or bottles. Does that make a difference?

00:11:10

No, I know. But so you agree, like there's an element of suss?

00:11:14

Thousand %. Okay. Yeah.

00:11:15

And so I was remembering my inner conflict on this suspiciousness.

00:11:19

But I personally am not the type of person that's buying Ceviche at the farmer's market. You know what I mean? There is a line that I draw. I understand. There's like pastries, things in bottles. Ben also really I like the barbecue sauce guy. I own some of his barbecue sauces. The honey is the best from the farmer's market. I feel like people see me use it all the time. It's pricey. So I feel like he's working really hard to suck that honey out of the bees. Do you know what I mean? I'm like, Oh, I'm going to support this local business.

00:11:45

Yeah. Have you heard that old adage, You can't eat in everybody's kitchen?

00:11:50

No, but I'm sure you have.

00:11:52

Yeah. It's like a saying, I want to get the...

00:11:56

It's so funny. Why? Because everybody's yucky?

00:11:58

Yeah. Eat in everybody's kitchen. Yeah, you can eat at everybody's house. Yeah.

00:12:07

I will also say, though. That's how I feel. Being outside, everybody, there's music. Oh, I was there for the vibes. It's a big grassy knoll.

00:12:14

I was there for the vibes, and you were like, Oh, your eggs are here. I'm like, I can't carry eggs. I'm having a baby shop to me. I'm here for vibes. We're not shopping.

00:12:21

And I love that for you.

00:12:22

Yeah. No, and the vibes were high. We had a great time. We went out to lunch. It was just a beautiful day.

00:12:26

A beautiful day. We had the best time. I agree. And the weather has been so fabulous. I know it's hard to say that because the weather is not so nice in other places in the country, but down here, magical. Yeah, our favorite. Our favorite time of year.

00:12:39

And then rolling into Super Bowl Sunday, Super Bounce.

00:12:42

I mean, yesterday was a busy day. The kids went from a birthday party and whatnot to Bounce Bowl at Jacky O's.

00:12:50

That's what we called it. We called it Bounce Bowl. Yeah. Feel free to use that.

00:12:53

No, honestly, feel free to get a Bouncy house and let the kids roam free while the parents like, nosh, watch. And we were also quasi watching Olympics. It was actually a pretty relaxing afternoon.

00:13:07

Yeah, I was hoping we would play a little mage, but we didn't get around to it. And that's okay because I already was overwhelmed.

00:13:13

Well, you had a lot going on in your house.

00:13:15

Hosting. There was so much food.

00:13:17

Too much food. And any time Ben makes anything, he just makes his mess. So you got to clean up after Ben.

00:13:21

And I forgot to empty the dishwasher before everyone came over. So there was a full dishwasher of clean dishes. So nobody emptied it. And everyone just like, Oh, we'll hand wash.

00:13:28

I a couple of times had I've heard like, Is this clean? I'm like, I have no idea. Go ask Jackie.

00:13:33

That was my nightmare.

00:13:35

Handwash is your worst nightmare. Yeah.

00:13:36

Everyone like, handwashes it and leaves it dry.

00:13:38

My husband handwashed all your plates on Thanksgiving.

00:13:40

And then I put them in the dishwasher after everyone left. I'm sorry, but those plates, and they were the turkey plates. I'm not going to use them again for a year.

00:13:46

I think he thought that they weren't like, they were too nice to go in the dishwasher, too. You do have a lot of nice stuff that doesn't dishwash.

00:13:53

Everyone was like, trying to be helpful, and you can only put so much stuff in the dishwasher. But I was like, it's worth doing multiple loads.

00:13:59

You can only put so much in the dishwasher when Ben Soffer is making a dish in your house. And by the way, his cowboy caviar was delicious.

00:14:06

It's so good.

00:14:07

It took him two hours to make with every utensil in Jackie's house. Yeah.

00:14:11

If I had known- Shout out to Ben. We love you. Yeah, no. And shout out to his cowboy caviar. Everyone loves it.

00:14:17

Loves it. It's so good. And honestly, I- Everybody loves us. I wasn't going to say that I was skeptical, but like, Honey Chipotle, just not usually my vibe. You have to stress the process. I did. And I was very glad that I did. Yeah.

00:14:29

So it was a tasty, yummy weekend. Let's get into the stories. We're going to talk all about the Super Bowl, the Super Bowl self. And when I get my Home Chef box, there's always something pargy that I know that I'm going to love that's creative with new ingredients. I love to try new things. I love to learn how to make things. That's how I learned how to make stuffed peppers. It makes cooking simple, fresh. Food is delivered. The recipes are easy to follow, and the meals actually taste amazing. I love it for bedroom essentials, like little... We just need things to spice up the place, like knicks and decorative items. You can get the cuteest things on Wayfair. You could also get a bounce house on Wayfair, by the way, I was actually looking into doing that. And as I sit here reading this ad for Wayfair, I think I might do that because yesterday it was such a small We could watch the kids on our Wayfair bounce house from our Wayfair couch. 00:19:58

It is for babies. It is for mammals, period. And for adults, we are getting that superfood from Armra Colostrum. So they harvest bovine colostrum so that we can enjoy the benefits of colostrum, which is the most nutrient dense substance on the planet. It's what babies get in their first days of birth. And cows produce it and Armor harvests it so that we can enjoy these benefits as well. So some of the benefits of colostrum are strengthened immune health, fortified gut health, healthy metabolism, hair health, skin health. For me, for male health. I notice that my cuticle beds are so much less dry and crack and flaky when I'm up on my Armra grind, and it fuels performance and recovery. So everybody is talking about Armor Colostrum, and it is for a reason because it is such an easy add to your every day. It's a couple of teeny tiny scoops. You can either dry scoop them, which is what some people do, not myself, or you can mix them into like 6, 8 ounces of water, guzzle that and be feeling amazing, especially in my postpartum era. I Never skip an Armra day because I need all the extra help I can get as I usher myself through this zombie era.

00:21:07

But I'm obsessed with Armra Colostrum. It's amazing. So we've worked out a special offer for our audience. Receive 30% off your first subscription order go to armra. Com/toast or enter toast to get 30% off your first subscription order. That's A-R-M-R-A. Com/toast.

00:21:26

I have to say, just talking about what we were talking about before, My cup is not any inclination about who I was rooting for or whatnot. But I actually will say I loved that the Super Bowl was like, Battle of the Brews.

00:21:38

Battle of the Brews. So Super Bowl 2026, Seahawks dominate Patriots for a second Championship. So who were you rooting for?

00:21:48

So I was rooting for the Patriots, actually. And in the Battle of the Brews, that was actually really hard for me because I ride harder than most for Starbucks. I'm a Starbucks girly, but I just feel like I have a deep appreciation for Robert Kraft in my heart, even though that Super Bowl ad was an abomination. We can talk about that.

00:22:07

But I- Honestly, I don't want to talk about it because it's too upsetting.

00:22:09

Okay, so we won't talk about it.

00:22:10

I'm just saying in general- It's so not the vibe.

00:22:14

I also love Drake May. I love Anne Michael. I love watching her cooking videos. I was just rooting for them. I didn't have a real steak in the game, but if I had to pick somebody, I was going New England. I also felt like because we are East coasters, it was an East Coast versus West Coast battle. I'm an East coaster. Not that I didn't. And then there were such cute stories of people coming out from the Seahawks. Sam Darnold used to be on the Jets. Why couldn't you make a go of it when you were on the Jets?

00:22:41

Why couldn't you get to the Super Bowl with the Jets? Sharks First Jets.

00:22:45

Our dad would have loved that.

00:22:47

A Sharks First Jets Super Bowl is what I'm looking for.

00:22:51

What does that mean?

00:22:54

It's so great that you asked that. I feel like you're speaking for the people. Claudina, I can't talk about the Jets without Sharks versus Jets. There's a Po-dunk, Bring It On remake, the seventh one.

00:23:07

Oh my God. That's too niche for me.

00:23:09

I think a lot of people are probably really grateful for the clarification today. But yes, I think Bring It On 7 was two different rival cheerleading teams called the Sharks and the Jets.

00:23:20

You know what's so funny? Some of the shit you guys say, it's so wild to me that you and I are only a year and a half apart, and Claudia and I are three years apart, and we all grew up in the same house because what the fuck were you guys watching? And where was I?

00:23:31

I don't know. I don't think you stood around for Sharks.

00:23:34

So many things. There's that other education Disney song.

00:23:37

Education Connection?

00:23:38

That was not a part of my life.

00:23:40

That's surprising.

00:23:41

No. A lot of those things that you guys talk about, I'm like, I don't think so.

00:23:45

I don't think so. I don't think so. Maybe that was when you were locking us out of your room.

00:23:48

I don't think so.

00:23:49

And hanging out with your friends.

00:23:50

I don't think so.

00:23:51

Listening to awesome shooters and.

00:23:53

No, I was literally watching- Do you know that one?

00:23:56

Yes. Okay.

00:23:58

I was watching seventh Heaven. I don't know. You guys were down for the Disney channel.

00:24:02

That's true. You're not Hannah Montana. No, I'm not. You're not Jonas Brothers.

00:24:07

No, I'm not Camp Rock.

00:24:08

You might be a little bit- Is that what it's called? Camp Rock. Are you a little Lizzie McGuire?

00:24:13

I am Lizzie McGuire, for sure.

00:24:14

Lizzie is your year. For sure.

00:24:15

Because I'm like, Lizzie. And by the way, that's why people my age are dying over the Hillary renaissance. Those songs really shaped our childhood.

00:24:23

Her songs did. But Lizzie's self is a little like a year ahead of me.

00:24:27

People went abroad because of her experience experience, you know? Yeah. In the Lizzie Maguire movie.

00:24:32

Yes. No, all of that. But yeah, there is a little bit of a generational gap, I guess.

00:24:37

But how? Do you know what I mean? We are so close in age.

00:24:40

No, but that was probably the year when you were locking us out of your room. Yeah. Listening to your awesome music. Seriously. Okay, but I shared a room with you, you know? Yeah, but I think you were like, you had one foot out the door at that point. Maybe. Yeah, you were out in the world. The streets raised you.

00:24:56

I'm sure that's another toast.

00:24:57

No, no, it's generating a lot. But I do appreciate the clarification. Okay, let's get to the entertainment, which is why we're here. Anyways, the game gamed. I don't think it was a particularly good Super Bowl, but the teams played well because they really couldn't get a point off one another.

00:25:10

Seahawks-one- The defense played well. The defense. The offense was... I mean, the Patriots offense was really sad. Oh, your nails look so nice.

00:25:18

Oh, thank you so much. I'll give you this color. It doesn't suit me. I like it. I will also say I love to talk about football as the football expert that I am, but I barely watched the game last night, so I'm not even going to offend guys with my take on the football because I can admit I'm uneducated as I did not watch the game until the end.

00:25:37

Yeah, it was a bad game. It was boring as hell.

00:25:40

Entertainment. So opening, show opening, we had Charlie Pooth singing the National Anthem, which I was really jazzed for because I think, like Taylor Swift, I think Charlie Pooth is underrated. I thought he was amazing.

00:25:51

I thought he was amazing, too.

00:25:52

I was so proud of Charlie.

00:25:54

And I, when I used to lock you out of my room, I used to just watch renditions of- Charlie Pooth videos? No, All of the national anthem, Super Bowl, that Whitney video was so iconic for me. And I thought he just did an amazing job. The production around it was great, but then at the same time also simple. I also did feel a little bit production-wise. They showed everybody in the audience and didn't focus enough on Charlie, but whatever. His voice and just the choir of it all. I thought it was very good. A beautiful start to the game. A beautiful start to a boring game.

00:26:27

They introduced him as a multi-award-winning singer and composer. I feel like the composition element was what really made this so beautiful. He is a musical genius. You know that about him? No, I don't actually. He has perfect pitch. He is like a music theory genius. He also has a nice voice, so he sings. But it's more So he's more on the back end of music.

00:26:47

We love back end piece.

00:26:48

And altogether, it made for a really beautiful and I think, memorable performance. I think everybody was really impressed.

00:26:55

Yeah, totally. Also because I feel like he was the type of person that people weren't I'm overwhelmingly excited for or not excited for.

00:27:02

It was just like, oh, looking forward to seeing what this is. He had a lot to prove. Then Coco Jones saying, Lift every voice and say, Gorgeous.

00:27:10

Gorgeous. She looked gorgeous. It sounded gorgeous. Gorgeous. By the way, it also looked like it was a It was a beautiful day in San Francisco.

00:27:16

I know the time- The sky opened up for everybody. The time didn't work for us East coasters, but it did work for the Pargy vibes because even the halftime show, it wasn't fully dark out yet. It was like sunset, and it was so beautiful to watch.

00:27:29

I mean, I'm Amazing. Yeah. Yeah. By the way, we're having a couple West Coast Super Bowl for the next couple of years. It's in LA next year. So Pargy for Everybody There. Well, we'll get into Pargy for Everybody There and not Pargy for Everybody At Home because I have some thoughts on that.

00:27:43

It's in LA next year. Yeah. I feel like it's always in LA. It's in LA. Plus, they're getting the Olympics.

00:27:49

Yeah.

00:27:50

Okay. Brandi Carlyle sang America the Beautiful. She's from Washington State.

00:27:56

Oh, interesting. That one was just It was moot for me. It wasn't good. It wasn't bad. Yeah, I agree. It was not memorable the way the others are.

00:28:04

Sometimes it's just what I'm looking for. Sing the song. Sing it nicely.

00:28:07

Honestly, and what I'm looking for is not a cluster fuck.

00:28:09

Please not a cluster fuck. Yeah, don't- With these beautiful songs that mean so much to people.

00:28:15

Just sing it. And you know what? Honestly, you're right. She did that. It was great, Brandi.

00:28:19

Yeah. And Green Day performed as a bunch of Hall of Famers walked out of a box.

00:28:26

Yeah, the box. So by the way, that's the funny part is that stuff actually left more of an impact because, again, 5: 30-ish time frame. We were ready for the show. We were sitting on the couch. Everything that happened then was so much more memorable than anything that happened once the game started. By the way, funny enough, at kickoff, we literally paused the game so we could give the kids a bath.

00:28:46

Ruby got his bath at kickoff. We paused the game, then we catch up. Then Charlie and them were like, Wait, let's give Charlie and Harry a bath so that they can go to sleep.

00:28:54

Then the TV turned off, and then it turned back on. By the time we turned the TV back on, the Seahawks were up 3: 0. We literally just didn't even watch Kick Off because we were turning... I'm telling you, it was a mess. It was a mess.

00:29:04

But I do feel like a lot of people have the same experience.

00:29:07

No, 100 %. And I was thinking about, I mean, what did people do in the day when you couldn't pause? Yeah.

00:29:12

But we also forgot to record it, so we I didn't-Go back?

00:29:15

Is that what it was?

00:29:16

Yeah. Because I didn't press Add to Library on YouTube TV. So when we turned it off at certain points- Well, the TV turned off by itself when it was paused. The kids, the game was over. When we turned it back on, we missed everything.

00:29:27

We missed everything. It was so funny. Yeah.

00:29:29

Not ideal And us having a conversation like, no, it stopped where we left it.

00:29:33

Like, no. Oh, yeah.

00:29:33

And we're all fighting. It's so stupid. I seriously can't with us. Okay, then cut to halftime show. Bad Bunny did the halftime show. Great. I only got a chance to watch it this morning, given the scheduling- I was going to say I didn't even watch it. The scheduling disaster. I think he literally performed at eight o'clock, like bedtime. Yeah. I thought it was so great. I thought it was so fun.

00:29:55

No, I left your house at halftime. That's why I literally was like, Okay, time to go. And then I had put my kids down. It was a whole thing. And I've only seen bits and bobs on the internet.

00:30:04

I didn't want to see the bits and bobs. So I've been avoiding spoilers. I had seen Lady Gaga join, but I didn't even know what she's saying. I didn't want to see anything. I didn't want to see people's opinions before I formed my own. So I literally watched it this morning. I don't even know what everyone is saying, but I think it's been pretty well received.

00:30:19

I think it's been well received.

00:30:20

I thought it was so much fun and upbeat, colorful, beautiful to look at. I thought the set design was great. For me, if I knew the songs, I would have liked it even more. But even without knowing the songs, it was just fun, beaty.

00:30:32

It was a vibe. Everything was vibes.

00:30:33

It was vibes, and it was just really fun, I would say. And I like that positivity.

00:30:39

Yeah, totally. And I think the one thing this was a point that I wanted to make because we did go to a Super Bowl once. We did. And the Super Bowl halftime performance show is really made for everybody at home. It actually is not such a great experience for people who are there because a lot of the production is around... Remember, it was Justin Timberlake, and it was like, because it was weird for us because so much of the production was happening TV-wise, but people were like, This was amazing. I'm like, Wow, you had a totally different experience at home than we did. I actually feel like from what I'm seeing online, because again, I've only seen Bits & Bobs. I think it was an amazing experience for people that were there. I think it was an amazing experience for people that were home. I think that's something really hard to do.

00:31:21

Yeah. Also, there was a bunch of cameos. First, there was a house full of celebs.

00:31:25

Alex Earle. I saw her dancing.

00:31:26

Cardi B. Who else? Jessica Alba.

00:31:30

Pedro.

00:31:31

Pedro Pascal. Yeah, it was fun. It was like Where's Waldo of celebrities, which was really a fun tie-in.

00:31:37

Do you think those people rehearsed or you think they were just like, get out there and dance?

00:31:41

They probably had to go to one rehearsal just for...

00:31:43

To know where to walk on and off. Yeah.

00:31:45

What's it? Like blocking, just so they don't get in the way of a tree on its way.

00:31:50

Yeah, the trees. And that's what I'm saying. So cool. It was people that were literally like, their costume was a tree. Oh, to be shth of them.

00:31:57

No, it was just a real celebration. And of his culture. And I think people were upset that it was all in Spanish. But that's what Bad Bunny does. So when they chose Bad Bunny, that's the half-time show. A hundred %. Music in Spanish, he's talking in Spanish. So again, if you have a problem, have a problem with the choice, not with the performance.

00:32:15

Well, the other thing I saw, because, again, I totally understand and respect your opinion of not wanting to ruin stuff online for yourself. But I had the similar experience when it was the national Championship game with Miami versus Indiana. And the whole time, I didn't give a shit about the game because I didn't go to either of those schools. And then after the fact online, I saw all these amazing things about that kid from Indiana and his family. And I was just like, Oh, my God, I would have been rooting for Indiana the whole time. Like, wow, what a story. So Bad Bunny, literally 10 years ago in 2016, the year of 2016, he was literally bagging groceries at a grocery store, uploading his music online. And then 10 years later, performing at the Super Bowl. Like, what a story. That is the American dream, if I'm being honest. So very full circle. Never give up on your dream.

00:32:57

Yeah, very full circle.

00:32:58

Yeah. And there was There's a lot of good information on the internet of some of the cultural symbolism that maybe... And again, I need to watch it in full. And now actually knowing some of that stuff, I'm excited to watch it through that lens, too. Yeah.

00:33:12

There's things to learn, but also just face value. You could see how it was such a celebration of his culture, and it was really beautiful. And I just loved it. It felt like one big party.

00:33:22

And honestly, like pargy vibes. And that's also what we're looking for at all times. You want to be... And same with the ad, same with every aspect the Super Bowl. The game is going to suck. The vibes have to be pargy everywhere else.

00:33:34

Yeah. A little positivité. Can we talk about the ads for a second? Yeah. Now let's get... Sorry. Lady Gaga joined. She sang Die With A Smile, which is an amazing song.

00:33:45

I need to watch it. Was it amazing?

00:33:46

It was amazing. I don't want to say anything. Okay, fine. She was amazing.

00:33:50

I'll call you later after I watch it.

00:33:52

She was singing with a bunch of instruments playing around her. It was like a mashup of musical instruments and Die with a Smile. And I just didn't feel like it meshed. It felt like she was singing against them. It wasn't... I don't know why. I don't know if anyone else felt that way.

00:34:10

What do you think about Ricky Martin? I didn't see that either.

00:34:12

I thought it sounded great. Amazing.

00:34:13

Do you watch Palm Royale? No. Okay. It's that Apple TV show that he's in. He's so great.

00:34:18

I didn't know he was in it. It's like Palm Beach.

00:34:21

Palm Beachy, yeah. And he's a big star in it. And he's really good in it. I'm loving the Ricky Martin renaissance. Good for him.

00:34:28

I didn't know that was happening.

00:34:30

No. And I think that's what makes it cool. He's just still around doing his thing, and people are excited about seeing him. It's more than just a 15 minutes.

00:34:38

I was watching a clip yesterday. Someone referenced the Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, the nipple thing, which happened when we were so young and it was such a big deal. But I've never really thought about it or watched the clip trying to understand it. What did he think he was doing? When he ripped off her boob cover, what did he think he was doing other than ripping off her boob cover?

00:35:01

I have no idea. I mean, also, maybe he didn't think he was doing that. Maybe his arm got caught. She had a whole contraption on. I need to go back and watch it also. It was such a big deal.

00:35:10

It was such a big deal.

00:35:12

It's amazing they brought him back, knowing that he totally- No, and I think it's wrong.

00:35:16

I think people have a lot of issue with that because it's like, he did that. Well, she didn't do anything wrong, but she got all the heat for it.

00:35:22

Totally.

00:35:23

And watching now- And by the way, Walbro.

00:35:25

What was he thinking he was- Walbro malfunctions are very normal.

00:35:28

But what did What did he think he was doing? He literally ripped off her boob cover.

00:35:31

Did he? I need to add it to my watch list. Another thing I need to watch. Sorry.

00:35:35

I feel like that comes up every Super Bowl halftime show, and I've not really thought about it in a while, but what did he think he was doing by doing that? What was supposed to happen.

00:35:45

I mean, we could go down a whole rabbit hole on it.

00:35:49

But the ads. The ads. Okay. I just want to say- Our resident marketer, we couldn't have a better person to join us.

00:35:55

Thank you for saying that. I actually feel like I don't have a lot to say because of the way that the Super Bowl was structured. Did I get time to watch a lot of the ads?

00:36:02

Did you watch a lot of the ads before? Some of them. What were some of your standouts?

00:36:06

I thought the Pepsi ad was fantastic. I loved that they used the Coca-Cola Polar Bear and were able to draw a comparison without being so overt about it. I just thought that was beyond creative. I also, and everybody, Jackie, can attest to this, that Coinbase ad, karaoke for the Backsheet Boys, I was literally busting out in song, and everyone started following after me because it was like, what is happening here?

00:36:32

It made everyone stop and stare. And it was like, we didn't know what we were watching, but whatever it was going to be, we were going to remember it. So when it's just Coinbase, rock your body, right?

00:36:43

Yeah. Yeah. And also the Backsheep Boys had a big moment. Every other ad was about them. Another millennial renaissance. It's the year of the millennial, baby. Call me Chugi all you want. But yeah, no, I feel like I need to go home. There are so many things I need to watch. I feel like I need to have a watch party of the things that are relevant for the Super Bowl because given the timing that the show was at, I know.

00:37:04

I'm sorry if we sound like broken records.

00:37:07

But it's just true. I feel like during the ads, normally for me, I'm hunkered down sitting. I'm like, also my kids are older now, so they need... They're playing. A mom, I want a snack. A mom, I got to go to the bathroom. There was no sitting for me and just paying attention. So now I have to go to Adage or Adweek.

00:37:28

But I also think that's what it's It's been to me. It's like a gathering. You're not just supposed to sit in a zombie and watch a Super Bowl for four hours.

00:37:37

But then if you think about that in the context of people paying seven million dollars just for the ad spot, knowing that people are not going to just be glued. It is interesting from a marketing spend perspective.

00:37:48

Yeah, but it's also the buzz before, during, and after. Yeah.

00:37:52

I thought those Claude ads, have you been seeing them on the internet? No. These are some that I saw pre because there's a lot of commentary around them. So as a ChatGPT girly, I feel like I'm so knee deep in my AI that I can't fathom any other AI platforms. But Claude basically did a whole stream of ads making fun of ChatGPT's announced ad model. And they would be pretending as if your AI was talking to you, helping you with something, and they're like, insert an ad. It's actually much better when you watch it versus me describing it. But all that to say, I mean, the AI companies, they came out in full force at the Super Bowl. It's always interesting to see what the groupings of people are. I thought the manscaped out was really funny where they like, did you see the hairball one? The hair was singing.

00:38:36

That's cute.

00:38:37

And then Liquid IV also, I think, where they had the toilet bowls also singing or moving. And then it was like, fucking hydrate yourself, Liquid IV. Just like, cutesy. But again, I need to go deep.

00:38:49

Yeah. There's some fun stuff.

00:38:53

Yeah, there's some fun stuff.

00:38:55

Did you see the one with Travis Kelsey's ex?

00:38:59

No, I saw something on the internet about how there was something like that, but I did not watch it.

00:39:04

Yeah, it was a bunch of famous exes, but the brand, I never got around to it. The brand was...

00:39:13

Did they play the Kendall one during the Super Bowl? Sleeper. What's that?

00:39:18

I think Betting.

00:39:19

Oh, okay.

00:39:20

I don't know. I just made that up. But it was other exes to Ben Simmons, Tiffany Hadish, Offset. It was like an ace from Love Island. Okay. Yeah. They were playing a of lawyers.

00:39:30

Being well received or just confusion.

00:39:32

Well, it's definitely buzzy.

00:39:33

It's buzzy. And that's what you're going for. I thought the Kendall, was it FanDuel or DraftKings?

00:39:41

Fanatics.

00:39:42

Fanatics. Oh, Fanatics? I thought it was fantastic. I couldn't remember the brand name, so I guess it wasn't that fucking good.

00:39:49

Did they activate at the Super Bowl? Did anything further happen? Because the commercial that came out last week was on her way to the Super Bowl, so I thought she would do something at the Super Bowl.

00:39:59

But if she did, I saw my boyfriend, Robert Kraft. No, I'm kidding. Robert Kraft posted something- That's your boy. And was like, Thanks for rooting for us. They were having some sporadic moments, but I don't know if that's what I was saying. Did that ad run during the Super Bowl?

00:40:12

Right. Or like a new, I thought an updated one.

00:40:14

Yeah.

00:40:15

Maybe I'll find that later.

00:40:16

Do you see the T-Mobile one where the Backstreet Boys were just performing in a store in Times Square in January? I guess it was real and live at one point. Oh, cool. What a thrill for all those people that were there. Honestly, the game itself was so bad that I think everything else was just heightened better from an arts perspective because you're just wanting to watch anything that's entertaining. All in all, looking forward to next year's Super Bowl.

00:40:40

Yeah. I love a Super Bowl.

00:40:42

I love a Super Bowl.

00:40:43

It really is so great. It's such a great day. It's always a fun. There's so much pop culture, sports, family, food.

00:40:51

And it's becoming even more so. Just every year, I feel like the experience in whatever city it is, all the celebrities that get to go, all the brands that activate. When we went to Minneapolis in 2018, there were not as many brand experiences. There were no creators that were there. We had the time of our lives. But if we actually think about it, the experience that we had, which again is actually a long time ago now, eight years, which is so crazy to think about, very different, I think, Super Bowl total experience and what they do now. They just keep raising the bar.

00:41:23

Yeah. Our next story is a little more Super Bowl news. Two couples spotted at Super I can't even say couples.

00:41:31

I also can't even say this is the next story. This is Super Bowl. Oh, my God.

00:41:35

This happens every time. Oh my gosh. Busy lady.

00:41:37

Every time I'm on the toes, my phone rings. Sorry.

00:41:41

Tom braided and Alex Earle were spotted getting cozy at a Super Bowl party.

00:41:44

I know this is controversial, but obsessed.

00:41:47

What are your thoughts?

00:41:49

My thoughts are just like, first of all, I love Alex Earle. I think she is- Oh, yeah.

00:41:55

Fun fact about Olivia. She's Alex Earle's number one fan. Number one fan. And A long-standing fan.

00:42:01

I just honestly, I think that... I don't even have the words to describe just why I think she's so great, but I just love her. I love watching everything she does. I love watching her success. I like watching her being a part of her family. I like I'm excited for her show.

00:42:16

Yeah.

00:42:16

I like seeing how she maneuver her business. I feel like she is a real example of a girl that got famous while in college and is figuring out how to monetize and make the best decisions for herself. And it, truthfully, and this is not blowing smoke in any way, it does remind me of Claudia because I feel like in the early days, Claudia was another person who got famous in college. She was going on some brand trips and doing brand deals. Really, all the stuff that is so influencer now was so foreign back then. I remember when Claudia didn't have a way to describe even what she was doing to people. I remember when she was not going to go get a full-time job, and that was blasphemous. Now, nobody wants a full-time job, and everyone wants to be a fucking It's just interesting to see 10 plus years later, how somebody else is navigating that in this new influencer economy. It reminds me a lot of Claudia, the things that she's doing or testing. I mean, her opportunities are just enormous, but she really always handles everything with a lot of grace and just fun and excitement and just fashion and beauty and all the things.

00:43:25

And it's just like, I'm so glad for a girl that looks like her, that to me, she's doing it And that's why I'm obsessed with the story, because first of all, I just don't think of Tom braided as being a 50 something-year-old man. I don't want to know about his age.

00:43:37

I know that is probably- He's 48, if that helps.

00:43:39

Okay, that does help. I thought he was 52, actually. So, yeah, that helps a lot. But it's just like, he is like, GOAT, best at what he does. And from an influencer perspective, she is GOAT at best at what she does. And I just think when you think about that, forget the age. I agree that maybe that's not my favorite part of this piece of the story. But I don't know. It's just you want to see two people at the top vibe. And that's what they're doing. By the way, when they were dancing, I don't know. I watched a video three times.

00:44:12

I was shocked that they were spotted together again. Given the reception, the fact that it became such a big deal, just that she rubbed his back. Everyone's saying they hooked up in some parts.

00:44:22

I also think she's so pretty and flirty. She talks like that. You know what I mean?

00:44:26

Yeah, but I just feel for him after that, I feel like he I mean, I keep misreading the situation because I feel like it's not a good look for him. He looks like an old man.

00:44:35

I think a worse look for him was saying that he didn't have a dog in this fight when it was about the Patriots versus the Seahawks. Of course, you have a dog in the fight. He said that? He said that. So he's been saying a lot of things. He's married. He's loving people, hating on him. I don't know what it is. So I don't think he gives a shit.

00:44:49

Okay. Well, if that's the case, because I feel like after it became such a huge story that they were just spotted together. Yeah. That I would feel like they wouldn't want, or he wouldn't want it. It's good for her. It's all good for her. But for him, he just looks like an old man. What are you doing? Go home.

00:45:06

No, I know. But at the same time, that's why I love us even more. It's two people that just don't give a shit what other people think because they don't need to.

00:45:14

Well, that makes me think maybe because they love each other so much, that they're bucking what people think, but not even that. I think they actually just clicked in a friend sense. So it's like, I'm not going to look away from my friend because of what people I think. That's a good friend.

00:45:31

Well, I could look into it really deeply if you want me to. Also, I did hear rumors that her and Braxton were maybe talking again or something like that. So maybe they just genuinely are friends. Maybe he's a father figure to her. Who the fuck knows? But I feel like for Tom, Tom always wanted to keep playing football. I read something actually the other day. He's a part owner of the Raiders, and apparently he wanted to retire as a raider. And Giselle didn't him playing anymore football. Obviously, that was the cause and demise of his relationship. I feel like it's a similar situation with Alex, where she probably didn't want to settle down and Braxton maybe wanted to. These are two people that their lives blew up because they were pursuing their passions. So maybe they relate to that in some regard. And maybe it's not love and not a relationship. It's Mr..

00:46:19

Right Now, you think?

00:46:20

Or it's just two people that are genuinely confiding in one another because they've been through somewhat of a similar life experience and they can therapies with each other. I don't know. Wow.

00:46:30

I mean, the mental gymnastics. Was it that?

00:46:32

Was it that gymnastics thing?

00:46:33

Olympic level.

00:46:34

Well, it is. Tis the season. Tis the season.

00:46:37

She's the Simone Biles of justifying Alex Sewell and Tom Brady's relationship.

00:46:40

Oh, by the way, give me five more minutes. I'll come up with 10 more fucking things.

00:46:44

That's really beautiful, Olivia.

00:46:46

Do you not agree?

00:46:48

I feel like when it first came out, you were not super pro this. No, I've actually... For me, it doesn't really do. I don't know why you would think that I would be, but it's just a bridge too far.

00:47:01

It's so funny because there's so many influencers and things that just really don't do it for me. I could give two shits, and I won't say what they are here because I just don't need people coming after me.

00:47:09

And nobody... You don't have.

00:47:11

You can just say that. I'm not super pop cultury and caring about everything.

00:47:16

No, but you're so Alex Starlin. You're so Tom braided. I know.

00:47:19

So can you imagine what this does for me?

00:47:21

Yeah, that's so funny. And then our other new couple spotting Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton, hard launched their relationship at the Super in their first public outing. So rumors have been swirling that they were rendezvousing. They were seen arriving at a couple hotels in Paris last week. And now they were spotted enjoying the big game at Levi's Stadium last night. Here's the thing.

00:47:45

I just want Kim to be happy. I just feel like she deserves happiness and a good solid man. And I don't know anything about Lewis Hamilton, so I can't comment. If that's what makes her happy now, amazing. But I would just like to see him be in a very fulfilling, nurturing, normal relationship. And by normal, I mean no drama. And I just think when you go with a big athlete like that, drama. Would you call an F1 driver? Is that what he is? He's an athlete? Yeah. So that's my take on Kim. It's like, I just want some peace and calm for her, the highs and lows of all of her relationships. I mean, her relationships are really what put her on the map initially, right? So it's like, I want to see some Kumbaya vibes for Kim.

00:48:30

I agree. And I feel like this is more fun vibes, where it's like she's probably had a- Which is also amazing and great.

00:48:37

And I love that for her.

00:48:38

Where she's in her Kim era doing what's fun. I don't know if this is forever, but because I'm saying that it's not, it probably is.

00:48:44

Did you I watched clips of her on Chloe Wonderland?

00:48:47

I watched both episodes. Yeah.

00:48:48

And I thought it was lovely. Yeah. And they gave a lot, actually.

00:48:52

Oh, you thought so?

00:48:53

Well, again, I only watched the clips online.

00:48:55

You saw what they gave.

00:48:57

But there was what to give.

00:48:59

What was the most interesting part for you.

00:49:01

I was just like, they were commenting on everything. Like, Are you friends with Lahrsa? Are you friends with Jonathan? It's just all these things that people ask. Chloe just straight up asked her. And I was like, Okay, good for you for tackling head on. Now, were her answer is totally strategically maneuvered to just be like, I love everybody. I'm busy. Yeah, but she still addressed it. Good for her.

00:49:18

If someone was like, he who shall not be named, they would not even bring them up.

00:49:23

A hundred %. Yeah. And I do think a lot of things are just totally blown out of proportion in the media, regardless. Or the media She's trying to make a story out of something for the sake of a story. So I'm glad that she was able to have that moment. I also think Chloe is doing a great job with her podcast. Good for Clo Money.

00:49:39

I think so, too.

00:49:40

Is she your favorite, Kardashian?

00:49:41

Oh, it depends on the season that they're in and the reason that I'm in. Super fast. She's pretty consistent. She's always a favorite, but sometimes I'm in my Courtney era.

00:49:50

I just want to say I, too, vibe with Courtney.

00:49:54

I also have vibrated with Kimberly very deeply for a number of years. I feel like at this present moment, it's not, but I deeply love her.

00:50:07

I deeply love her. I also feel like Kim is just, I don't want to say nonexistent, but not out there as much. I also feel like that's why this A little bit. The story is blowing up. She's letting Milo a little bit. Story is blowing up. And she was seen with someone because we haven't heard from her in a bit.

00:50:19

Yeah, but when you watch the show, it's like their sisterly dynamics also as moms, then you start to everything changes a little bit. So yeah, I really do relate to a lot of them. And of course, Kylie is my favorite.

00:50:29

Yeah, of course. It's Kylie.

00:50:30

Kylie is my favorite. Today's episode is brought to you by Pepsi. The affermenchened Pepsi ad in last night's Super Bowl commercial was so amazing. Olivia and I were just talking about how much we loved it and how they showed the Pepsi paradox. So the creative of the Pepsi ad showed this phenomenon that when you blind taste test colas, it has repeatedly proven that Pepsi is the preferred cola. So Pepsi zero sugar was chosen even by the polar bear over other zero sugar colas. And yet everything's coming up Pepsi these days. Pepsi is the name on everybody's lips, and Pepsi zero sugar is the number one zero sugar beverage, and everybody knows it. The Pepsi ad followed a cola loving polar bear who stepped up to the iconic Pepsi challenge. And with only taste on the table when taste was the only thing that mattered, he or she chose Pepsi zero sugar over Coca-Cola zero sugar. Fifty years after the original Pepsi challenge showed America preferred Pepsi. When labels were removed, the brand did it again. So in the 2025 revival of the Pepsi challenge, 66% of participants agreed Pepsi Zero tastes better than Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.

00:51:42

And Pepsi Zero Sugar won 100% of markets where Pepsi conducted the Pepsi challenge, even in Coca-Cola's hometown of Atlanta. So you have to try out Pepsi Zero Sugar today. Go out and try Pepsi Zero Sugar today. You deserve taste. You deserve Pepsi. Today's episode of The Toast is brought to you by Quince. Head to opositive. Com/toast for 25% off of the Flow PMS vitamin. Okay, let's shift gears a little bit. Still on NBC Peacock, The Olympics.

00:56:50

I said, 'tis the season.

00:56:52

Olympics opening ceremony was Friday night in Milan. Milan Cortina, 2026. I watched the opening ceremony.

00:56:59

You did. Okay. I didn't even know when the... First of all, I fucking love the Olympics. If there's one thing about me, now I am partial to summer over winter, but I love the Olympics. And I actually felt like there wasn't great promotion for it because I didn't know when the opening ceremony was, and thus I missed it. Add it to my watch list. Well, I...

00:57:18

Yeah, it like, snuck up on you, even though I've been watching Peacock every week for the last four weeks, and they always have snow. You're watching Traitors, and someone's getting snowed on in a promotion for the Olympics.

00:57:26

Right, but you're watching Peacock, so that makes sense. But I'm saying it should have been broader than that. I was not watching Peacock, and thus, I was living under a rock, apparently.

00:57:34

Yeah. So I got the memo. I watched the opening ceremony, not live. With opening ceremonies, it's like a Super Bowl halftime show. Like, bar is very high. Sometimes they miss the mark. I was thrown back to that forlorn Paris opening ceremony that was so terrible. Right. So I was like, I didn't know what to expect from Milan Cortina, and I loved it.

00:57:55

But it's Milan Cortina. I guess actually you could say Paris.

00:57:59

I thought Milan Cortina was beautifully done. Love. There were so many things that were just gorgeous and so artfully done. And obviously, it was all- It's Milan Cortina. It's Milan cortina. So much about fashion, art. But it's like, how are you also going to implement pasta into the opening ceremony. Espresso.

00:58:16

Did they? Yeah, they had. I can't wait to watch.

00:58:19

That's amazing. They did this. One of the bigger moments, it was probably a big chunk of the show, is they're three great composers, and they were dancing in the Shape of the Fibonacci sequence, which was also part of the Duncan commercial last night. And I was like, Oh, my God, that was opening ceremony. Synergy. And then they had all of these different dancers come out, and a group of dancers were dressed as colorful Espresso Dressos. A group of dancers were dressed as colorful buildings to celebrate the architecture. And it was just very on the nose and very cute. And then it was all about color, and it was very beautiful. Love that. One of my favorite parts. And then it's like, How are they going celebrate fashion and Milan Fashion Week? They had rows of models, supermodels, a row of supermodels dressed in red Armani suits because Armani is Milano. A row of supermodels dressed in white Armani suits and a row of supermodels dressed in the green of the flag. So they looked like the Italian flag. They're walking down the road, and the way these supermodels dressed as the Italian flag. And then the last model is Leo's girlfriend, Victoria Cioretti.

00:59:26

She's dressed in a beautiful white dress, carrying the Italian flag. She gives it for the flag raising. It was just a beautiful way to celebrate their country.

00:59:34

Yeah, which is amazing.

00:59:35

I have no notes. It was great. I feel like it accomplished everything that an opening ceremony should do, which is highlight the culture of the place that's happening the ceremony. Andrea Bocelli sang. Oh, king. It was beautiful. Mariah Carey sang.

00:59:50

Got to watch.

00:59:51

How'd she do? She sounded amazing. I was actually shocked that she sang because I don't know why I feel like she doesn't sing anymore. I agree with that. She has one of the greatest voices of all time, but there was New Year's kerfuffle. So I'm like, Does she even sing live anymore? And if she doesn't, why have her do the opening ceremony? It's not like she's Italian, but she has a beautiful operatic voice. Ms. Popular.

01:00:12

I'm so busy.

01:00:13

If you need to take a call, I'll understand.

01:00:17

No, I'll be okay.

01:00:19

I'm sorry. So she crushed it. Tate McRay did not get on a Ferrari and sing sports car.

01:00:26

Did people think that was going to happen? It was my prediction. That could happen in LA in 2028.

01:00:29

No, but because Ferrari is Italian.

01:00:31

No, I know. But they're not going to have so many American people.

01:00:34

She was doing promo for the Olympics, and she said, I'll be it. We're going in the open ceremony, and then back to Super Bowl. She was doing it for Peacock, about explaining their programming. So I'm like, What is she talking about the opening ceremony for? And then I was like, Maybe she's in it.

01:00:47

I just want to tell you something. The reason why my Ringer is on is your fault, just so you know. My fault. I'm going to tell you. I'm literally turning my phone off. First of all, I got this new phone, the iPhone 17, and it used to have this thing on the side where you could up and down the sound, whatever. And it is your fault. I'll tell you why, but in the best possible way. Because two months before you were about to give birth, you called me and you're like, You need to start leaving your phone on at night if I need you. And I just want you to know my phone is completely silent except for phone calls because that's how I set it up so that in the night, I didn't get a beep for every single thing on my phone. And now I just... I don't even know. I got to figure that out, but I just left it like that. So my Ringer is just always on now.

01:01:30

Is that spam calls? Do you get a lot of spam?

01:01:31

No, these are people that I know that are looking for me.

01:01:34

I get a lot of spam. I can never leave my Ringer.

01:01:35

I get so much spam. I'm just saying this in particular happened to not be spam. Got it. But my phone's off, so I'm so sorry, everybody. I have to be like that person. I'm so busy.

01:01:44

She's so... I mean, we know she's so busy and she's so popular, but we'll begin to wrap it up.

01:01:48

The one thing I wanted to comment on was that I am very much looking forward to the opening ceremony in 2028.

01:01:53

Well, it made me think about what LA is going to do. They better fucking blow it out. You know what I was thinking? I'm not to go down this rabbit hole and waste the rest the show time, but this is what I was thinking about because they had to pick their biggest Italian singers. Who represents Italy? They also had an actress from White Lotus, Sabrina Impacciatori. I did see that. Did you watch that season? I didn't watch it.

01:02:11

I only saw the name of the actress, and I need to... If I looked at a picture of her, I'd be like, Oh, but I didn't know the name of the person and what that correlated to. Yeah.

01:02:20

I guess she's just a popular Italian actress. She did this whole thing. It was really cute. Then I was like, Who represent? It's not just about Los Angeles, it's about the country, because I was I was expecting Milan to be only Milan, but it's like, no, we can go to Rome. It's okay. We can do other Italian things.

01:02:36

But also that's very different, I think, in Italy than it is here. Then they're not states in the same way, but LA is very representative, I feel like, or just having it in different places in America of the US. Milan and Rome, they could be two different worlds. That's why they always say when you travel to Italy, you should go to multiple places.

01:02:57

It's about the host country. I I think that- I get that. Who do you think would be the right performers for LA? Of course, your mind goes Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, but I don't know that they sum up all of America. Then I was like, I think it has to be someone older. A lot of the people I was thinking have passed. Whitney Houston would be amazing. Michael Jackson. Who are those people who are still living?

01:03:22

Billy Joel. We need him.

01:03:23

Or Bruce Springsteen.

01:03:25

Yeah, Bruce Springsteen. You know who else I thought?

01:03:28

Dolly Parton.

01:03:29

Dolly Parton. Great. That's a great one. I do also think that you also have to think about in two years from now, there's going to be another big star that will be somebody that- But not enough to hold it down for the whole country. No, but you're going to have multiple people. You're going to have young, old, and new people.

01:03:44

And also that is so Hollywood is to put on a two and a half hour Super Bowl halftime show. A hundred %.

01:03:51

Put in everyone. No, it'll be a lot of people. And there'll be somebody on that stage. This is my prediction. There'll be somebody on that stage that is not somebody that's even remotely famous right now, but that's somebody that's up and coming over the next two years. It will be a hodgepodge of different... I mean, this is what I hope they do, actually, because God knows what they are going to do. But I feel like LA and that 2028 Olympics committee, they were working overtime to get it?

01:04:16

I feel like it's going to be a lot of Billy Eilish. They love her because she's from LA.

01:04:20

No, that's not what we want.

01:04:21

And she was in the baton toss from the closing ceremony. That's not what we want. I know, but that's what it's going to be.

01:04:27

It's not what we want.

01:04:27

I'm just telling you that's not what we want. And Red Hot Chili Peppers, they were in it, Great.

01:04:30

Love. Done. Love. Okay. Do you know that I went to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in high school?

01:04:34

They should do an around the country, take us on a tour of the country. Or just like- Start in New York, Billy Joel, down to Miami, Mr. 305. Just please put fucking Pitbull in there, okay? Mr. 305.

01:04:45

I love him.

01:04:46

Mr. 305. That's who we meet.

01:04:48

Like Dolly,. Then we're going to- Then we're going to Dollywood. By the way, great idea.

01:04:51

We could stop in New Jersey for Bruce Springsteen, sure. I guess if you're not associated with a certain place, you're not going to be on our tour.

01:04:57

If you're not associated with a certain place, you're not a star. Do you know what I mean? Like all stars, they talk about their humble beginnings. It's part of their...

01:05:06

Yeah, I think most people are associated with a certain place.

01:05:08

Yeah. Where's Taylor associated?

01:05:11

I guess Nashville is where she got her start.

01:05:12

Not Redding PA?

01:05:14

No. I mean, sure. If they want to- Nashville is like another place you could have 10 people over in there.

01:05:20

Yeah, of course. Dolly. Dolly. Dolly. Well, Dolly is like Dollywood.

01:05:22

And that's in Memphis?

01:05:26

Somewhere in Tennessee?

01:05:27

Grace Lands in Memphis. Elvis would have been great.

01:05:30

Would have been great. I mean, he would have been dead by now, regardless.

01:05:34

He would have been amazing for the opening ceremony in 2028. Okay, let me get to the rest of the story.

01:05:41

I'm crying.

01:05:42

There's some nonsense that you know what I might say for another day, but let's just head to our fifth and final story, which was a headline that I thought was so funny. And I saw the video, but when you put it to words, Cardi B takes a tumble while giving a robot a lap dance. So this video was on TMZ. There was a robot outside of a hotel, so she jokingly starts dancing on it, whatever. At a certain point, she put pressure on. I thought the robot was going to fight back because I saw the headline the robot takes a tumble with Cardi B. I thought maybe he was going to... You thought rumble, not tumble. Yes, some self-dominance and be like, Don't touch me. But no, she put pressure on it. He fell. She fell. Oh, God. It was just the craziest. It felt like something not real.

01:06:27

Yeah. No, I haven't seen that video, but that's a not real It's a not real headline.

01:06:32

I love not real headlines.

01:06:33

Are you into Cardi B being a wag?

01:06:36

I think also her and Stefan broke up yesterday.

01:06:38

You're kidding.

01:06:39

Yeah.

01:06:40

Is that another story?

01:06:42

No, I mean, it's news. Where was it? Let me find it.

01:06:45

That would be insane.

01:06:48

Where did I just see that?

01:06:49

Why? Because he lost?

01:06:51

I don't know. It's at the bottom. Okay. They spark breakup rumors post-Super Bowl. Yeah, I don't know. I don't feel like they're They're that rock solid.

01:07:01

No, I know. But to break up, he just played in the Super Bowl and lost. I mean, that would be fucking whammy. He needs her now.

01:07:07

Is that what you're saying?

01:07:08

Yeah, maybe wait a week or something.

01:07:11

Yeah, I don't know. I feel like they're very on and off.

01:07:14

No, for sure. But also, I did like her Wag era. I didn't know enough about it, but it was like... It's always fun to see who is- But I didn't feel like she was at the Super Bowl as a Wag.

01:07:23

She was at the Super Bowl as Cardi B.

01:07:25

Which is sparking the breakup rumors.

01:07:26

No, I don't know. That's just my take. She was also in the In the Half-Time Show.

01:07:30

She was in the halftime show, yeah. Yeah. But was she in the halftime show because she was a Wag? So of course she was going to be there.

01:07:34

No, I think she was in the halftime show because she's Cardi B. So of course, she was going to be there.

01:07:38

I mean, was she at the Super Bowl the last time, last year?

01:07:40

She's always performing. Like, the direct TV pre-Super Bowl party.

01:07:45

Yeah, like 50 Cent performed somewhere. Did you see that? No. I love Fafty. He's my favorite.

01:07:50

Yeah, there were a bunch of performances. It was a big weekend.

01:07:53

It was a big weekend.

01:07:54

Everyone was out. Christian McCaffrey played the piano at the Zack Bryant concert. I saw that. And he played the whole concert concert. He did great. And then he's also in that commercial for NFL.

01:08:03

Where he has a belly? No. Did you see that ad?

01:08:07

No, I didn't. I was talking about the Boys and Girls Club, Youth Club of America. It was an ad for NFL's philanthropy work with youth organizations. Oh, that's sweet. And Kristen McAfree is playing the piano for a bunch of youths. That's what I was talking about. But tell me about the belly.

01:08:20

Okay, there's an ad. I actually don't know who it's for. He's in a locker room and he has literally a belly and he's shoving food in his face. And they called him Christian McCafree or something. I don't know what it's for. And he's like, the meh is silent or something. I'm sorry.

01:08:34

Dondria is rolling over in his grave.

01:08:37

I'm going to send it to you after. Again, I only saw a clip online, so I wasn't fully processing what was going on. I also was like, I don't know. I'm not one of those people where it's like, if you're shoving food in your mouth, this is entertaining ASMR for me. So I was like, what is this got to go? But I'll go back to it now. I thought that's what you were talking about.

01:08:54

He also won an award over the week. He did, Comeback Player. Comeback player. He made a beautiful speech.

01:08:59

I actually love the NFL honors. Have you ever watched it?

01:09:02

No, it always misses me.

01:09:04

Yeah, miss me because you want to know why? Because they do it, I think, Thursday night and you find out everybody that wins and you see all the red carpet pictures and everything, and then they usually air it on Saturday night on TV for the folks at home, and it's like, nobody gives a shit.

01:09:19

But then they've bifurcated their moment.

01:09:22

I forget who it was a couple of years ago. They had an amazing host. It was so funny. It was very moving and celebratory. I really that they do that. They should just air it live. Don't give us a few days because I want to see people's speech is live versus if I'm seeing it online, then I'm not necessarily going to go and watch your live stream on a Saturday night. Yeah.

01:09:44

Well, thank you so much for joining me today.

01:09:47

Thank you so much for having me. It was an absolute pleasure.

01:09:50

That is your Super Bowl recap. Oh, Olympics, we had started to dabble and then the sports, but it's also preliminary at this point. Lindsay Vaughn is the big news. So sad.

01:10:00

I'm just in love with that couple, the married couple that's.

01:10:02

The figure skaters and the guy who does flips.

01:10:05

He won something. I think he got golds yesterday.

01:10:07

We watched one- Oh, they're already giving out golds.

01:10:10

Yeah, but also I saw a gold medal chart and America isn't even in the top five. So I feel like our sports are not anywhere near that yet. And also we're just rooting for Jared Firestone from Eritse Israel. Okay?

01:10:19

Oh, yeah. He's playing for Israel. Oh, and the Israeli team was robbed. Their apartment was robbed. Thousands of dollars stolen in their passports.

01:10:26

Yep.

01:10:27

Another day. Just another day.

01:10:30

But yes, I need to get more into the Winter Olympics and rooting for Team America.

01:10:35

I just always feel like the first few days, it's like everyone's falling and figuring it out.

01:10:40

It's like semifinals.

01:10:42

It's semifinals, but then at the end, it's like, this person has already won two medals. I'm like, When did that happen? But it's in these days that I'm consciously not paying attention to. Yeah.

01:10:50

No, and I love the married couple.

01:10:52

Yeah, I think everyone has.

01:10:52

Apparently, their moms were friends. And then at 12 years old, when they were skating together, they decided to become partners. And then they were skating together for 15, 20 years and then said, I love you. But I will say- Could you die of cuteness?

01:11:06

For men and women figure skating partners to not be married... When I'm looking at them, they're dancing so romantically. I'm like, Oh, you guys should be married.

01:11:14

You Good. And I think that's why these folks are so great.

01:11:16

Yeah, because it's a lot of trust. A lot of trust. A lot of physical contact, a lot of long hours on the rank.

01:11:22

Yeah, and a lot of eyes. Looking to my soul. Yeah.

01:11:26

So happy for them. We will continue to recap Olympics this week. We'll have Deer Toaster tomorrow, TV recap, all the things. Trouts can thank you so much for joining me.

01:11:36

Thank you for having me. I love you so much. I love you dearly. Follow me at Olivia O'Shre.

01:11:40

Do it, and we will see you on the next one. Love you. Bye. But what I wanted to say, my niece is fighting the Studium. Semester-bedrag, laptop, books, software, mobile, internet. A Master is really expensive. Tell her, she can get it back. You mean to get a tax from it? But she doesn't deserve it. No, the magic word 'verlustvortrag'. She just makes it with 'visosteuer'. And when she then works, it means, kaching. That's possible? Safe. 'Visosteuer'. Get your money back. Now, try it. Now, free.
