Good morning, girlies. It's The Toast. It's Jackson Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, It's The Toast.
They sound amazing.
Welcome back to The Toast, and happy Tuesday. Hope everybody's having... Yeah, it's Tuesday, right? No.
Wednesday. Yeah, a little gift. A gift of the Wends.
Are you sure? Oh my God, yeah.
A gift of the Hump Dairies.
Much like Cynthia Reevo, I did not know that was happening. Oh my goodness. Happy Wednesday. Oh, that's just like...
It changes everything. Turn your frown upside down. Yeah.
Madame Marble, it's giving Wicked Wednesday.
Wicked Wednesday. It's very exciting to be here with you on this Wednesday. I was saying we are ajourned with cojourn.
Consider court ajournered.
Yeah. Your next podcast. You're like, Weigh in on legal issues.
About the Baldon case. Three people will listen to it.
We're ajourned with cojourned.
Well, thank you all for joining with me today.
For journing.
For journing I'm Jernas, so Jernas, rural juror. Hope everybody's having a fabulous Wednesday. We have a fabulous show planned for you guys. We are two fabulous girls, so it's a baseline fabulousness. We've got great stories. We watched a ton of TV last night. We've got Tell Me Lies recap. We both watch the season premiere of Summerhouse. So we're just like, I don't know, have our fingers on the pulse today. Some days we don't have our fingers on the pulse. Today we do.
Yeah. I wonder what's preferred, you know?
For the episodes where we're on it or not on it.
I think there's a nice mix, and I think that's what makes it so great.
It's like, you never know what to expect. Is this going to be a pulsy episode?
We're on the pulse to a degree.
We're pulse-adjacent.
But it's not like we're going to be all pulse all the time.
No. You know I feel like is all pulse all the time. Like the vial files. They watch every TV show. They watch it early. They have the episode up at 6: 00 in the morning. We are pulse-adjacent. Yeah.
We dabble with pulse.
Yeah. We pulse here, we pulse there.
We dabble with low pulse.
God forbid. Heaven forbid, low pulse.
I have a runner's pulse. That's what Dr. Fox told me because my pulse is low. You know me, I don't get worked up.
Can I feel your pulse?
Yeah. Do you know about pulse?
In what sense?
But you know about pulse?
I know how to find the pulse.
Okay, but how would you know if it's slow or fast?
I don't know. And your watch is in the way. Give me your other hand. I'll take my watch off. Why don't you give me your other hand?
Crossing over. It's not a good look for me.
Now relax. I have to focus so hard.
Hold on. You're bringing it. It's like, I think- No, it's feeling, not hearing. I feel like it throws up your balance.
You're dead.
That's what I'm saying.
I can't find this.
That's what I'm saying.
You guys, I literally feel nothing. Hold on. I'm in the wrong spot.
Let me see if I can feel it, and I'll show you where it is. Do you want to know what's not on the pulse? It's checking each other's pulses.
This is like a silent podcast where we look for- It's checking each other's pulses on the show.
But yeah, no.
Why is finding a pulse so I literally can't find it.
I thought you literally... Oh, I found mine here. I'm alive. That's good. I'm alive.
I don't know if I am.
I have a low pulse, Dr. Fox said. You know me, I don't breathe a lot. I take one big sigh every five minutes.
Yeah, I feel like I did that when I was pregnant. It's like, Oh, yeah, breathe.
No, I'm a big sire. People will hear it from the other room. They're like, Are you okay? I'm like, Yeah, I just took my breath. For the day.
Kind of big news for me, seeing a medical things like the pulse. I got my biopsy results yesterday, and they were... I'm not 100% sure. She was confusing me on the phone. I was looking for the words benign, non-cancerous, and I didn't hear either of those. So I was like, Oh, great. I have cancer. Then she told me what it was, and thank God I wrote it down because I goog it, and they said, What I goog is a benign non-cancerous- Mild to moderate. Mild to moderate, atypical nevus. Okay, so why? And thank you. It's benign non-cancerous. I just wish they had said that. I have a real problem with the delivery of the results.
Those are the keywords. However, they need you to help them wrap up those bills.
Yeah, they do still want me to come in, of course. I just can't. I will, but all I was looking for was benign non-cancerous, and I didn't get that. So I literally was sitting here after the show, and I totally had forgotten because I'm just so carefree.
She took the call in front of a bunch of people. She was like, film me.
I just feel like if I made it so not a big deal, I wasn't going to have cancer. If I had to step out, it's like, well, that's when you hear that you have cancer.
It wouldn't happen. In a room full of people.
Yeah, with all my coworkers and my peers, because I am peerless, I just feel like they weren't going to say malignant. It turns out they didn't say malignant, but they didn't say benign either. So the results were questionable.
They said Aladine.
They literally said Aladine.
They might as well have said Aladine.
Quite literally.
That's how confusing it was.
So that's what I did yesterday. Sort of like crazy times for me.
Understood. Were we together yesterday? Oh, we got our nails done.
I did. I already chipped mine.
Like, seriously, Oh, I'm happy to go back, which my color. We'll do that.
And then I watch a lot of TV for my job.
Yeah, me as well. Tell Me Lies, Summerhouse. Very exciting. So many thoughts.
So many thoughts. So many thoughts. When does Summerhouse as a Beverly Hills come out?
Thursdays, which is not helpful.
No, it's today. It's Wednesdays.
Oh, Wednesday. Great. And I feel like something else is coming out soon, too.
On Bravo or just in the universe?
On Bravo, maybe.
It evades me. The new Bravo Adjacent show for the old Roni women has a name. They're calling it The Golden Life. I guess a spin on how they're in their golden years. They're the golden girls, older women living their best life. And I feel like they're really close. It also does say it's a working title, so it's subject to change. It's called The Golden Girl.
The Golden Life.
The Golden Life, parentheses working title. So I think they're really close to the title. I hope they continue to work it because I like the concept of they're in the golden state. It had living their golden years. And I'm sure Golden Girls is trademarked. They're almost there. The golden life isn't working for me.
Golden State is California, but it's definitely the sunshine state. Sunshine State. Sunshine State.
My bad, my bad. Which is golden.
I do like the word golden. I think there's a lot there. To work with. When I first heard golden life, I was like, huh? And then I was like, oh, yeah, golden years. It makes sense. Golden glow. I think there's a lot of potentially put out a video of all the housewives announcing the- I'm obsessed with these ladies. I'm sorry. It was so turned in the best way possible.
It was so golden girls.
It was so Roni O'G.
It was giving made on Instagram layout.
It was hysterical. And if that's a taste of what we can get, it's mighty tasty.
I just know. I just know Dorena's not well. It's killing her.
I haven't thought about her one time. She's not an O'G.
No, of course not. But I loop her in with that group of elderly women who drink a lot, who ruined the franchise. With their drinking. Right. I do wonder if this puts them in a bad spot with Bravo. Because while the women have not been on Bravo in many years, they're still on Watched Reppens Live. They go to BravoCon. They're part of the Bravo family. They get weird spin off opportunities.
E is a sister of Bravo. I know. It's a sisterhood. And Bravo is all about the Peacock.
This is just the first time where Bravo people have collectively jumped ship-ish.
But it's-ish. And I'm sure Bravo had first write a refuse on they didn't want the show, and they went to E. And again, it's all under the NBC Universal umbrella. And NBC is going to be like, You better get... If this show is a success, they're going to say, Bring them to BravoCon. Or Peacock, yeah. It's a feather in everyone's cap. Yeah. I think it's all good. Okay.
So we got a lot to do just because we are so pulsy today. Yes. So there's nothing else.
I just can't remember a thing that I did yesterday.
Oh, my TikTok has taken me to the Epstein files, and I would like to be away from it. It's very upsetting. And also, it's confusing because it's the files, but it's also anonymous tips that people have submitted. So it's not all 100 %. But I just ended up reading I did some really upsetting things about these women who were forced to have babies.
I saw something about babies.
It was very, very upsetting. It just ruined my morning. I was scrolling TikTok while I was doing my hair, and then these people explaining to me what they found. It was very setting. Yeah. And I was in it for the celebrity, and the only person who so far as name I heard, and there are 3 million documents.
It will be- There are thousands of names.
But Dr. Peter Atia, who I didn't even know, but apparently, he's a big podcaster. Is he the bald one? Yes, you know him?
Oh, yeah. He's always giving me tips.
Oh, my God. Okay.
And what salt to use.
So he was a big customer of Jeffrey Epstein. His emails are so bad. Oh, my God. And there's this thing in his book where he talks about this traumatic life event where his young child ended up in the ICU. And he's telling the story. It all happened on July 11th. And he's telling the story in his book about the day he wasn't home. He was in New York, and his son was in the ICU in San Diego. And then the emails from the Epstein files prove that he was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein on July 11th. He said in his book that he didn't go home because of work when his son was in the ICU. And it turns out he didn't go home because he was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein. Wow. Yeah. No, it's really crazy. So far, he's the first big name who we've never heard of. We were like, all these celebrities are going to be in the files. I want to hear more celebrities. But first it's Dr. Peter Atia, which is so random. I don't even know him.
I actually don't know him. He's not the Salt guy. The Salt guy, I had to find his name. He went on Matt and Abby one time. His name It has nothing to do with this conversation. But Dr. Amen, you know him. He's another bald doctor who podcasts.
Longevity doctor? That's what Dr. Peter Atia is. I'm learning so much about this person. I never knew. But apparently, he's a Huberman type. People are obsessed with him. It's devastating for his community.
You know this man?
No, I don't know that man at all. He's everywhere. I don't know that man. I'm sorry. Sorry to this man.
You don't know him? If you saw him talking into a microphone- He looks like Blair's stepfather from- He does, Cyrus.
Cyrus If you saw him talking to a microphone, you would recognize him. Maybe you would ring a bell. Everyone is him. I must have missed that episode of Matt and Abby.
We should have him on.
I don't want to have people on. You never know they might end up in the Epstein files.
That's so true.
Oh, and there was also an Epstein file where they're talking about Maddie Ziegler. Just like, not guilty. Maddie Ziegler is not a part of it. They were just like, Did you see that music video? Like, yucky. Like, really? And then they also talk about like, these people are so dumb, by the way. They literally like, Hey, want to be a pedophile? They I don't care. But they do attempt in some parts to speak in a foreign language, and they use food being like, Hey, I'd like a pizza. Pizza? Yeah. Did they do pizza? They said pizza, hot dog, burger. And this guy, I think it was Dr. Peter Attia, who was like, I'd like a hot dog with no bun. Like, yucky, yucky, yucky. I'm very new. And also, it's hard, do I think, to discern from the files what is just a submitted tip from the public and what is a verified claim. So you do have to be careful. So I'm just looking at actual emails on TikTok, by the way. I'm not reading the files. And this one particular girl who ended up in a treatment center, and she was forced to have babies, and she was like, Galaine's girl.
Oh, my God, fucking Galaine. I forgot about the Epstein saga. It was so many years ago, but it's really upsetting. I'm not having fun. That's really upsetting. I feel like I was like, Oh, let's get them. And now it's like, I'm upset. I was just in it for the celebrity, and all I got was Peter Attea so far. So far. I didn't even know him.
Yeah, there'll be more. But it's also confusing. There are so many names of people, like so and so's name. And they keep saying, inclusion does not indicate involvement.
They keep saying that. Similar to anybody who's ever had a picture. Cal Radswell, her picture is with Ghislaine. That doesn't mean she was going to the island. I think you have to be...
It's not fair. Just because someone's named. It doesn't mean. No.
Maddie Ziegler is not involved. But yucky.
Yuck. Well, thanks.
Sorry. My morning was around, so I just felt like I had to ruin everyone else's.
Okay, that's really mature. That's a mature way to feel.
I'm a very mature woman, so that makes sense.
Shall we get into the stories? Yes. Where we do have our pulse on the pulse, though it's a low pulse, a runner pulse.
The pulse on me is questionable. I couldn't find it, but my pulse on these stories is not questionable because I know everything.

Our first story, The Search for Nancy Guthrie, Savannah Guthrie's Mom, continues. And an odd twist, TMZ received an alleged ransom note for Savannah Guthrie's Mom, Nancy, demanding millions in Bitcoin. Police are taking all tips very seriously, including this one.
And the Bitcoin account was real.
Yeah, so it could be real. The amount is in the millions. It's a substantial amount of money. And TMZ reports it has received an alleged ransom note demanding payment for the release of Nancy Guthrie.
Yes, I believe also another local news station. So now two news outlets. It's giving amateur, by the way. I don't know why it's giving... This is your first ransom. You're sending it to TMZ. I don't know.
I don't get the connection.
Well, now I feel like, and this was, I think, a theory at first. Was this random or is it because her daughter is very famous? And so I feel like sending it to TMZ is a confirmation that this person targeted Savannah Guthrie's mother, not just an old woman. It's giving like, I know you have a wealthy daughter. Let me see what I can squeeze out of you. I'm really worried about her medication. It seems like when someone is being held for ransom, they're not trying to hurt the person, per se. It's not like they want to kill them. They just want money, so they're holding them hostage, if you will. But the whole medication throws a complicated spin on it. And I could see this person panicking, dropping them off at a hospital. They didn't set out to kill this woman, but she's an elderly woman who needs her medication. Perhaps. They say she needs it every 24 hours, and I doubt they said on their way out, Do you have any medication you might need?
I think she also disconnected from her pacemaker.
Oh, no. Why with the pacemaker, do you need to be near a- I don't know how it works, but it stopped tracking her at a certain time.
Oh, shit. Yeah. Maybe it just didn't connect to the Apple Watch. If she didn't have it on her.
Is it a monitor that comes with it?
But she Are they still wearing it? I don't know.
I didn't hear about the pacemaker. That's so scary.
That's what I had heard.
What a just horrifying story. Continues to get worse. And as with all abductions, the more time that passes without any lead.
But I feel hopeful that they have leads that they're not sharing. I don't know why I feel that way, but I feel like they're playing very close to the- Because the person's watching the news. And I feel like sometimes when they have no leads, they're like, Anyone, please send us anything you have. Remember with the University shooter and everyone sending their like, ring cameras. Yeah, right. They didn't really have anything.
But you get an influx of information, which also can be distracting.
Yeah, I think they want information, but I feel like they have some stuff.
God, I hope so.
That's literally just a feeling. Just a vibe. Yeah, I don't know. It's really sad.
Oh my God, it's so terrible.
It's so terrible. I'm thinking of her and her siblings were seen leaving the area, and it's just a nightmare.
It's a nightmare.
A living nightmare. We'll keep you posted, and hopefully we have better news.
More updates. There really haven't been. Yeah. But I don't know. The TMZ thing is making me suspicious. Obviously, it's a suspicious situation, but you know what I mean?
Yeah. Our next story is a story for Claudia that- Wait. You've seen it. You knew it was happening.
But for me?
It's for you because Travis Kelsler, Chokes Taylor Swift is going to kill him over this fumble. So Travis was recording his podcast, New Heights with his brother Jay's face. Travis and Jay's face?
You know them like that? I didn't realize you knew them like that.
Yeah, I like nicknames. Yeah, Travis and Jay's face. I like to cuss a little.
I like Jay's Face.
And And as they're recording, he's like, tipping the seat backwards, and it made a loud crack.
Yeah, he broke the chair.
He broke the chair in Taylor's house. He said, Taylor's going to kill me. Jason was like, Oh, shit. Are you all right? And Xavi was like, We're good.
I told you guys, her esthetic and his physical build, it's a mismatch. And I'm glad that she's decided to redesign. We know her Rhode Island mansion. I hope some permits have been taken out in all of her homes.
This is not- They need to restructure the foundation.
This is not an ordinary man. And also, I get the vibe just based on his reaction that this is not the first time it's happened because he's like, Oh, Taylor's going to kill me. Like, Oh, Travis, breaking chairs again. It's a serious issue. And I tried to warn them about it a year ago.
Well, I feel like she definitely has all this antique doll furniture, right? And it's like, you don't need to swap it all out at first. Let's break it.
I don't know. Travis doesn't want to feel like a stranger in his own home. He should be able to sit in any chair.
Yes, but you're going to get rid of them prematurely. Let's live in them. And when they break, we'll get new.
I just don't know why we have to wait for something bad to happen. Travis could get hurt, first of all. He's a professional athlete. You know how they say professional athlete should not be doing snowboarding or skateboarding in the offseason because it could create an injury that affects him during the season. It's if he's still going to continue to play. Living in her antique home is a career hazard for him, and I do think that they need to go to Raymore and Flanigan.
Also, he doesn't seem bashful in any way, but I have to imagine not breaking a chair is the most humiliating experience an individual can have.
Now she's getting into my Clam's Casino, the scene in show how, where he goes to complain and he can't understand why Gwyneth Paltrow has broken this steel chair. Yeah, I'm trying to think of a chair. It is as a person who's always struggled with my weight. I have to tell you, and I think every person who's ever felt uncomfortable in their body will tell you. It is something we're constantly thinking of.
However, for Travis, I don't think he's uncomfortable in his body. I don't think any part of him would be embarrassed by bringing a chair. A shame, no. It's probably like a flex.
A point of pride.
Yeah, I'm too big for the chair.
Yeah, me and my big shoulder. Yeah, a thousand %.
But may a broken chair never find me.
No, I need to buy a spell from a witch on Ets. Keep broken furniture away from me. I don't know if there is a more horrifying thing that could happen to you in public. I'm trying to think. I feel like it's happened to Ben, and it's obviously different for boys and girls.
For sure. And Ben is not easily embarrassed.
No, but in my line of work, I find that I'm always being put in director's chairs, which just don't give me a lot of confidence because they're made with a thin piece of fabric and two wood parcels.
If you broke that, you're human.
Yes, of course. But anytime I go to an event and it's a speaking gig or whatever, and they have you on a director's chair, I think I almost always am like, Do we have other chairs?
No, and it's not a flattering chair.
I just don't like it.
You can't really cross your legs so great because you don't have the support.
Right. Of the floor.
But for a shorties.
Yeah. So just Travis out here living every girl's nightmare. And I'm sorry that that happened to you.
Yeah, but I hope that you guys get new furniture, maybe a little restoration hardware.
And maybe you and Taylor can use this as an opportunity to watch Shallow Hell because I think you guys would like it.
And redecorate. Of course. In a way that speaks to both of your sensibilities and size.
Yeah, there is a happy medium.
Size and It's a possibility.
They need to go to a big and tall furniture store. Yeah.
Well, I'm sure there's beautiful things. Of course. Restoration hardware.
Restoration hardware is the solution that they're looking for.
Everything from restoration hardware- The cloud couch, Travis would love it.
I don't know. When I've heard about the cloud couch and when I want to go to people's houses, I'm like, Oh, you paid $20,000 for this couch. It gets so lumpy and it's meant to be relaxed, but it's very quickly becomes- It doesn't present nicely.
It's hard to set the room with a cloud couch because it always looks unmade.
Right. So if you also have an enormous man lounging on the couch there quite a bit and his friends and his big friends.
And just leaving, you know.
Tushy imprints.
Yeah. For lack of a better term.
Yeah. You're going to be fluffing those pillows, those cushions all day long. Nobody wants that job. The cloud couch is a mirage. And I think wealthy people tried to convince us that it was cool. And I'm glad that I never fell victim to the cloud couch.
I feel like there's a time in place for it.
Okay. In a media room?
Oh, like in a theater room Yeah, in a theater room that doesn't get used a lot. Yeah.
But I also feel like- Because if I walk into your house and you have a cloud couch, I can tell, based on the state of your couch, how much time you spend laying on the couch. And then it's like, not only do I have a messy couch, I also know people know I lay around a lot.
Well, I feel like when you're in your 20s and you have an apartment, if you had a cloud couch, that was such a slay. It was. And I feel like you don't spend that much time on your couch, and it's just like you're one or two people. It's like your pre-gated couch. You don't have a whole family. I feel like that's nice. If you're getting a cloud couch in your young adult apartment, slay all day.
But if you're a young adult with a cloud couch, your parents obviously bought it for you, and then I just think you're a spoiled brat.
Oh, well, maybe a dupe or something.
Yeah, there was the IKEA dupe, and Bob's Discount Furniture had a very good dupe. I remember talking about.
And then we also stayed in the house in the Hamptons that had a cloud couch, and we had an amazing experience.
Did we podcast from it?
Not the couch.
It wasn't- It was in the living room?
We were watching the Olympics.
Yes.
You remember? Yes. And it was fantastic.
Yes. And we laid on it quite a bit. So if I'm a homeowner who's renting out my home, I'm not getting a cloud couch because it's going to look worse for the wear if we're showing up.
But we enjoyed it. We did.
Deep.
And I would like a cloud couch for free.
Oh, okay. For free. Yeah. I would also like a jet for free.
For free.
If we're just saying things.
Are you ready for our next story?
I am.
Nicola Peltz's dad, Nathan- I saw.
I have so many thoughts.
Is breaking his silence on the Beckham family feud.
He's not really breaking his silence. I just want to say- But no, he spoke on it. I know. But breaking your silence implies you're speaking on something and it's your choice. I felt like it was actually hella inappropriate. I think the Wall Street Journal interviewer knew it as well because she was skating around the issue and she looked nervous because She was asking an inappropriate question on the business summit.
So he participated in the Q&A session with Wall Street Journal Invest Live in West Palm Beach, and he was asked about Nikola, to which he quit.
Well, he wasn't even asked. She was having such a hard time getting the question out that he eventually saved her and was like, yes, my daughter.
He said, Has my family been in the press lately? I haven't noticed at all.
The interviewer was like, you know, you're used to negotiating high stake situations. She was circling the train so He actually threw her a life rat. He was like, yes. Oh, has my family made a joke? Because she seriously was struggling so bad because it was, I'm sorry, so inappropriate. It was. I'm here for the tea, but it's inappropriate. A business summit.
But do you feel like she felt like she had to ask about it because it's the biggest story in the world that he's very adjacent to.
Yeah, he is adjacent to it, but he's really not... He is a major player, but not really in terms of the front-facing people. We're talking about the Beckhams. We're talking about Nicola and Brooklyn. We're talking about her family in this abstract way. She could have very easily gotten away with not doing it just because I think it's inappropriate.
It would have been more professional to not do it. Anyone who was mad at her for not asking the obvious question could have just been like, This is a Wall Street Journal business summit. He's A billionaire. A billionaire, very successful businessman. It's offensive to really stray into the gutters like this.
Now, having said that, I'm learning a lot about Nelson.
Is that his name? Nelson, yeah.
You don't meet a lot of Nelsons. It's a nice- Of course, Mandela. Of course. He's the the only one, and I feel like he did the name so big. I don't know anyone who's naming their kid's Nelson.
No, you don't see a lot of kids named Nelson, but it's a strong name. No, it is. I feel like it's a successful name.
I didn't know much about him in a personality sense. I do feel like maybe she felt like she could ask the question because he seems like this very affable, nice guy. Yeah. And he was making a joke out of it. And he basically said, I know My daughter, she's amazing, and we love our son-in-law, and we just want them to have a very happy life. And I always tell them, Do everything you can to stay out of the press.
Yeah, that's what he said. He said, My vice is to stay the hell out of the press. Well, they didn't take that one. He said, My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story, and that's not for coverage here today. But I'll tell you, my daughter is great. My son-in-law, Brooklyn, is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.
I don't know if he could have answered the question more perfectly. Now I'm left with such a This is quite a man. My impression of Nelson. My impression is overwhelmingly positive. I'm definitely thinking a man like that has to be raised like an amazing daughter. You know what I mean? Although I could see also a guy like that making a soil rat, loving his daughter. Like my little princess. Yeah, but whatever. I feel like the Pelts is huge check in their column just based on this answer. I think he might have also been caught off guard. So this was just his on the whim response.
It was amazing. I have to imagine he thought about the fact that he's doing press like that someone would ask him about it.
So I feel like- This isn't press. This would have gotten literally no coverage. It was a business event.
Yeah. I feel like that's what we said, though. It seems like both families are really great families.
Like stable and grounded. Yeah. They both have parents who are married, which is insane.
Loving.
Yeah. Wealth.
So I mean, it seems like a Nicola and Brooklyn self thing. It does.
Like They both... And this is, again, just based on vibes. They both seem genuinely insufferable. And that's not their parents' fault. No. I think the Pelt's parents and the Beckham parents just need to hang out.
Yeah. And talk shit.
They probably have more in common than they think.
I think so because it's not been said that it's like, They don't like them. Parents versus parents. That it's like Nikola and Victoria and Brooklyn.
Brooklyn and his parents. Yeah.
Are you ready for our fourth story that's going lead into our first TV recap? Yes.
Because- Actually?
No. No. Let's just do TV.
So I'm not ready. You agree? Yeah.
I think this next section, you should be calling Mike TV. It's brought- Mike? It's from Willy Wanka. I don't know it. That boy, he was obsessed with the television.
Literally me. He definitely in this day and age would have a podcast, a TV recap podcast.
For sure. He'd say. He grew up to be nick Vile.
I was just thinking that. But then I'm like, We mentioned nick Vile twice on this podcast today. Is that so weird?
No, especially because I'm involved.
Yeah. Should we talk about it? Sure. Okay. Jackie, this clip, and I know Jackie hadn't seen it because this clip came across my TikTok.
I didn't know what was happening.
That there's beef. I don't know if there's beef. I have to do a little bit more context.
I was used to admit that there's beef because I don't know anything about the situation. You just sent me a clip of Natalie talking about when she was on the toast.
Right. And she was alluding to having an uncomfortable conversation with you. And she was seemingly upset met about how you addressed her age gap. And then I found the clips. Thanks. Shout out to the girl who posted it. And not only did you not ask her, she offered it up.
So she recounted this- Also, I always... I feel like the first I think people think about them is age gap. I never remember it. So I don't know if I learned about the age gap while she was sitting here or I had only recently learned about it. But I definitely didn't have a harsh reaction to it because in my heart of hearts, I don't feel that way. I feel like she- They're beyond that. Yeah. I don't see them as an age couple. So, yeah, I don't feel- She went on her podcast after coming on the toast and recounted the conversation.
She did recount it incorrectly because then I watched a clip and that's not what happened.
I guess that's why she said I was asking her to do fast math because she said she met nick when she was whatever age, and I was like, Oh, so how old was nick? So she had to do the math on the spot. Maybe the math didn't math.
I know. I think she was upset. She had to do the math. That was the vibe.
I guess I could have done the math.
Because I think she said it was simple math. It's 21 plus 18, which how dumb are you? Is that Okay. I think she was calling you dumb.
You know what? I'm not taking the bait. I had such a great experience with her. Yeah, you did. You loved her. We've had such a good relationship with nick for so many years. Unless she text me to my face, I don't like you.
I have no- Misunderstanding.
Yeah, I really... And I'm sorry if she came my feeling that way. Because like I said, that's not how I feel.
And this is also not how it was.
I think they had a beautiful relationship and a beautiful family. I meant to be.
I watch a clip, so that's also just not how it went down.
I think they're meant to be. I wouldn't question meant to be. Okay. So I'm not taking the bait.
I am.
And who's pitting us against each other? Do you feel like it's the internet?
Well, no, I just saw this clip- Or the clip of her. I saw the clip of her- Like saying she She didn't like me in that. No, like rewriting history a little, about her. And you know, you can't help how you feel when you walk away from a conversation. So she's totally valid in that. But then to go on her podcast and recount it, we saw the clip. That's not what happened.
Yeah.
So maybe I just feel fiercely defensive of my sister.
Maybe you do. But I'm just not internet enough for this.
I know. I am.
Great. So yeah, funny that we spoke about them a number of times today.
Yeah. They're definitely on the mind because I sent you the clip.
Now, I also don't know if that clip is older than- Claudia, when you sent me that clip, I was like, What am I watching? Someone is talking about me. I could not compute. And it was a very short clip, no context.
I'm like, What? Yeah, right.
What?
Yeah.
So I still don't I don't really either.
I'm also not one to pile on. I feel like they're getting hate right now, and I'm never one to be like, Yeah, I hate you too. So seriously, sending love.
Sending love. I had a great experience.
We've come too far to go home now with nick Vial.
No, nothing can come between us.
No, we are thick as steeds.
Okay, Mike TV is brought to you by.
Oh, that's how we got here. That's such a niche reference. I don't know. It's rare that you know a cultural reference and it sticks with you that I don't know.
Whenever I say TV, I always think of Mike TV.
Oh, was that his name?
Yeah.
Sounds a little familiar.
Yeah, he was the fourth one. He got sucked in his head.
No, I know him. He looked like the brother from Lizzie Maguire. He had spiky hair.
He wanted to be in the TV.
No, and he did end up in the TV.
Yeah, and he couldn't get out.
A dream. Well, Mike TV is brought to you by Gold Bond Healing Hydration Lotion. Our Our next story. In the City, season one Teaser video dropped at Bravo. So last night was the season 10 Summerhouse premiere, and they also shared a teaser for the upcoming spinoff In the City. So we've talked a lot about this show. We've heard a lot. Everyone has speculated. It's like the valley of the northeast. And yes, they posted a teaser video In the city. It follows Kyle, Amanda, and Lindsay into fall. They transitioned Kyle from summer.
Not Sierra?
It's just the three of them at this moment. I I don't think that's the whole cast, but they're sprinkling breadcrumbs. I don't know if Sierra is a part of it because this show really is meant to be the valley of the East Coast, where we see people go onto the next phase of life and they can mature out of Summerhouse. It was built for Lindsay Hubbard in this era of her life, whereas other cast members can stay on Summerhouse. This isn't like Summerhouse continued. You could do both. It's the Beverly Hills to Vanerpump Rules pipeline. We're sending you on your way.
I have actually high hopes for the show because I feel like even watching last night's premiere, So much has changed, but the house hasn't. And I actually think for someone like Amanda, for someone like Lindsay, in the city is perfect because sometimes them going out to the Hamptons every weekend and staying in the share house makes no sense. And I feel like last night, we have all these new cast members, and I feel like some of the OGs, like Cierra and Amanda, are making such a concerted effort because they're not acting like how they normally act on the first day of summer, where they're just very set in their ways and they ignore the new girls and leave them to hang out with Lindsay. They're being so friendly, picking them up. It's weird. It's like, why are you acting so different? And it's because they have been forced to shift a little bit, and it feels a little forced. And I think the city show might be a better fit for just who they... Everyone likes them, how they are. And it doesn't necessarily always work in the Hamptons, so just be yourself in the city.
I do think that there's real potential with that show.
Yeah. And I feel like even Amanda and Sara not going out the first night, it signals the-Difference.
Divide in the house of people who are past doing all of this and people who are still doing all of it.
But did they go out?
Did they take no cameras? It was so confusing.
They never take cameras.
Usually, we see them getting in the car.
I guess. I think they went out. And then it was 2: 00 AM.
It was confusing.
I think that they went out because they said they were going out.
And sometimes they do phone videos.
Yeah, I might have looked away for a second, so I don't know. But I thought that they went out.
They need to fix that. They need to be going out with cameras, like the Jersey Shore. It's That's where everything happens.
Yeah. But I think that now people, if they're the bed bugs, bed bugging, it's like, okay, well, there's a path for the bed bugs. Right. And this could be their last summer in the house, and that's fine. But they are also trying to be in the mix with the new girls and the new cast members. Also, the whole storyline of last night and what will be the season probably is like, Kyle and Amanda.
Right. And is anyone else not to be a conspiracy theorist? I feel like it's very clear that they are not together. In this- Right. So on Watch Happens Live, she said that they separated in October. So right after the summer before Bravo Con. And I just feel like at this point, they are already decidedly not together. And I think they're both really committed to the show.
I think if they were decidedly not together, they would have been nicer to each other. I think that they are so... If they were putting on an act, I think the way that they're- So uncomfortable. Acting in front of people, in front of cameras, the way they're talking to each other is not a good look.
Even though I think with hindsight, if you go watch the last couple of seasons, the way they talk to each other, the way they interact. She's up at 4: 00 in the morning. He's not home yet.
It's funny how now watching it, knowing they're separated, it all looks like writing on the wall, whereas I was thinking about it like previous seasons. No, but we've been saying this for years. No, but this is like a new level. They have not said one kind word to each other. The fighting at the table. The fighting at the table. Every conversation that each of them is involved in. I really do think this is where the marriage is ending. They don't seem like they want to work on it, but I I do think it is real because I think if they were pretending, they would have a little bit more manners towards each other.
The DJing thing is so crazy. Yeah. And I think people online speculated that that was a huge reason for the breakup. And I was thinking, Yeah, it's crazy. But this is who he is. This is who he's always been. People were putting so much stock in him going on tour as a DJ and how that was her final straw. And I was like, I don't know. I think it's a little too simple. But I think that the DJing is the nail in the coffin.
Well, I don't know necessarily if the DJ ended the I think the marriage was ending, and so he went to DJ because he didn't want to be home all the time. And so it was like a symptom, not the cause. And what we talked about- But then that symptom caused other symptoms.
We talked about how the prenup, them not having a prenup, lover boy. And I think you had said, I could see her just having foregone her half of it just to get out. And how it's really not as valuable as it once was. And I watched Happens Live last night. She confirmed that because she was She said she didn't have a prenup, and she said, Everyone, no matter what marriage you're in, you need a prenup. Just do it.
She said, Well, they'll be okay.
Because they really get along very well. But Andy was like, But you're entitled to that piece of Loverboy. And she was like, Well, yeah, maybe. But It's his thing. He has lived and died. He literally gave up our marriage for it. So I'm not taking it. And I think it's very easy to say that because I do think the brand is presently worth a lot less than maybe it was at its peak.
And I think Loverboy just caused her so much strife and drama. It's like, take it, be gone with it. I don't want to be a part of it. Then we have to work together again. It's a cleaner break. She should get 5% just for having been there.
Based on my limited knowledge and just people telling me things behind the scenes, I believe that Loverboy, and I think this is a storyline on In The City, I think Kyle is in major financial distress. I think he took out a lot of personal loans that he cannot... I don't think there's just 5% to throw around. I think it's like... That's why I think it was easy for her to walk away being like, This mess. Yes, maybe at one point, five years ago, they were on track to be a company that was going to sell to Ani Zerbush for $100 million. I don't think that's the case.
I don't think- But he never took investors, right? So the whole point is he has 100%, so he has 5% of his debt.
I do believe at one point, he did take on investment because I was just reading this article about how Bravo is the new incubator. And there is seed money in the very beginning. Okay. Yeah.
All Also, I think the DJing thing is an extension of Loverboy marketing because she said that some people they DJ and then they go straight home to their families. He stays back. He talks to the owners. I think he's selling Loverboy into all of these places. I think that it has been an engine for Loverboy getting into bars and restaurants and clubs. And it's not just like, I love music. I think he enjoys DJing, but it's also more for Loverboy.
No, for sure. But I think what she's saying is like, yes, he can go DJ and have it be for Loverboy and sell into these places. He doesn't need to be out all night. There are people who have successful jobs in nightlife and happy home life. But every person I know who works in nightlife is sober, has multiple children, a very happy marriage. In order to be successful in nightlife, you can't be every night out till the break of dawn. So that's the issue. I don't even think her issue is so much as him doing these events. He's always done events for Loverboy.
Then the problem is also he doesn't want to go home. So say he goes home. Say he came home every weekend. It's a fight. Yeah. You know what I mean? There's a reason he's not going home. They're not happy together. At this point, they've given up. They're not working towards being better. But we've seen them every year working towards it. We're going to try this summer. Then after the summer, they say they're better, and they've been working on things. At this point, they've both thrown in the towel. She will flirt with anyone who is- Who walks. Everybody wants to flirt with her. This guy, Ben, what a cutie.
He runs with the chef, Ben, from below deck.
Yeah, I ship.
And it's like- And they talked about that and what you're up inside people being like, You have a twinkle in your eye when you talk to him. Like, What happened at that wedding? She was like, No, nothing.
Yeah, the way she described the wedding was fine. But then she gave a look to Sierra that made me feel like they're dating right now. That's just what it made me feel like.
Oh, wow. Even though she said on Watchdromes Live, again, she would literally never date someone on Bravo, specifically on her show either. And he is on Bravo now.
Oh, Okay.
So her bringing him is her saying no. Oh, okay.
Well, she also said that she was asked who they think is going to date again first. And she said, I think me.
Yeah. I mean, yeah. I feel date or have sex.
I think being a relationship.
Well, her, because relationships are not for him, clearly.
So it's really sad to watch. It's uncomfortable. And I feel like it's going to be the entire season. And then it's going to be all of In the City because In the City wrapped before Bravo Con, she said that they separated right before Bravo Con. So I think that's how In the City ends is with them deciding to separate. So that means that this is four months of this. This is so old. It is old.
In the City, which hasn't even premiered yet, is from October.
I don't know. Oh, I thought you meant four months of it's tea and whatever. But at a certain point, we got it.
We're watching things in real-time with social media. I just feel like Hulu and all these, they really raise the bar for turnaround times. And this just feels so ancient.
Yeah, I'm sure there'll be other story lines in the city and other cast members. Lindsay.
We need Lindsay. Oh, my God. Last night's episode was really boring. I'm sorry. Lindsay is such a personality hire. Yeah, she's not dating. Who gives a fuck? She's so funny, and I do feel like it's very authentic the way that she interacts with the new people. And something about last night, seeing these cast members who have quite literally never made an effort with the new people, forcing it. I was just like, who are you trying to fool?
Yeah. It's crazy that this is the job a million girls would kill for.
I feel like the two girls that they got, the blonde girl Bayly. I can't believe they have another girl named Bayly after last season's Bayly. She definitely has more of a personality and she might do well. The other girl was so quiet.
Well, it's episode one. I know, but you have to come into...
I'm sorry. You have to come into these shows. We're going to make Lexie.
I think people who come in too strong, they want it too bad. They're trying too hard. It doesn't go well. I like a slow burn. I'm not judging either of them yet. But what I do like about them is that they have a good positive energy. They want to have fun. They want to meet people. I I think they're the right agent in the right place, and they've got the right mindset. And so I think it's trending positively.
Their acting like Lexie never existed. It was so crazy. Do you think she was fired or that she left?
I think that she was not asked back, and it actually made me really sad to think about because it's like she came onto the show and was just swooped. And she was into Jessie, but he didn't give her a choice because he was going to be dating. He loved her.
The girls were just really awful to her.
And he totally capitalized her time and her storyline and everything.
Even though I don't know why she wouldn't be asked back. She's exactly what they were looking for. Like, young girls, she was going out. She was doing it all the outfits. She has the background.
And he chewed her up and spat her out. It's terrible. And the network took his side. It actually makes me really sad. Yeah.
And I just feel like it can't be overstated how, in addition to him chewing her up and spitting her out, how the girls were not there for her one bit. Yeah. And it was sad and painful to watch.
And it's like she liked him back, but it's as if she didn't have a choice. He was so into her. Like he was going to be... She had no other storyline to follow.
No, it's actually really sad. It is really sad. When he was sitting in bed with Sierra talking about West, they didn't even bring up Lexie. Like, your girlfriend from last summer who was in the house? Yeah.
Where's our West meter now?
Hours?
I mean, season one was like 10 to across the board. Season two, after the reunion, it went by zero. I'm indifferent. Then When we got to two, three last season.
Yeah, I feel like the harsher Sierra was with him, the more it felt bad for him because his crime was breaking up with her, which he is allowed to do. So I feel like now that she's cooled off, I actually just don't care anymore. Do you know what I mean? Yeah.
And now it's their show West and Jessie. It is.
It's actually crazy. They are doing press, and I guess a few people got plucked to go on Fallon, and it's Lindsay Hubbard, as she should. She built this show, Brick by Brick and West. It's crazy. Isn't that crazy? Yeah. They did this clip. They were playing a game called Imposter with Jimmy West and Lindsay. Let me tell you, I was cracking up premium social media content. I watched it while I was getting ready. This morning, we were like, chuckling. It was basically like two of them are a traitor. One of them is a traitor and the two, they don't know who the traitor is. So they do word association with a topic. The topic is beach. So Jimmy goes, sand. And so you have to pretend you know what the topic is. I was cracking up. Oh, that's funny. Yeah, I know. It was really funny. We should play.
Yeah. Yeah. West's points to have a nice summer.
Yeah. I don't care. He's also important to the life of the show. He's very affable. He's the future. The new guy is his friend. And he's funny. He was very well liked, with the exception of what happened after season two. He had one of the best first seasons.
What's the word? He did his time. Yeah. He's out of jail. Yeah. Yeah. And didn't he say that or they said he's on probation. He was like, It's better than jail.
Yeah, no, but he is. In hindsight- He did his time. In hindsight, her big issue with him was that they broke up, which is devastating, and that he did a New York Times article about their breakup, which is just part of his job.
I think he did a New York Times article about his himself and on the show.
Yeah, it wasn't about the breakup.
Sorry. It came up. And it was covered, and she didn't like the way that it was spoken about.
So I am personally over it.
Yeah. It's tabula rasa.
He is too much of a value add to the show for us to keep caring about this. Yeah. He didn't do anything bad or wrong.
Yeah. No. And it's time.
He navigated a breakup in the way that he thought was right. Yeah. Time served.
Yeah. And so, yeah, we'll see what the season holds in story. It really just seems to be about the dissolution of the marriage. But to me, that episode, it's over. Yeah. Not one kind moment. Yeah. Painful.
The going to bed.
He walked into the house. They drove separately.
Oh, that was weird. Yeah. That's what I mean when I say it's also forced.
I really think that they probably knew that they were going to eventually because they weren't trying to make it better. But I think that they would have been more respectful to each other if they knew that it was over and we're just playing on a show. The way that they talk now when she's like, We talk all the time. It's very respectful now. It's very good. We can be friends. He made a toast to her at the premiere party, said nice things about her because the future is bright. Yeah. Our fifth and final story, Tell Me Lies recap.
Yes. Okay. Felt a little repetitive this episode. I can't lie. Like, nothing major except for Brigly.
Brig. Okay. I'm obsessed.
I am, too.
However, I didn't love that their first kiss was a musty morning after kiss.
Ben said it, and I was thinking, her fucking breath.
Her breath, of course.
Must have been so rank. She slept on the floor of her teacher's house, okay? She was out all day because it was a day party the day before drinking. I just know she smelled so bad that I couldn't romanticize it.
I didn't find it romantic. I was like, You're not going to kiss right now.
Yeah, it would have been better if when she woke up at the teacher's house, they showed her just going to the bathroom, rinsing her face.
Maybe rinsing some water. Or using some of Maryanne's creams. It would have been a psychotic thing to do. I like that. But she would have been fresh as a daisy.
Oh, I love that. It was a very upsetting episode for Lucy. That game, first of all, I hate that freshman. Girl, run for your fucking life.
I know, but no one can tell her anything.
No, no one could tell her anything.
No one's even tried because Diana and Lucy, if they say something to her, like Steven- They look like jealous exes. No, but if they were successful in saying something to her, Steven would have his revenge with them. They can't do anything.
So he didn't send the pictures to the school. He sent them to her her dad, which I'm really pleased, honestly, because her dad, they'll work it out. It's a temporary... It's a temporary thing. Just so many upsetting the whole... I'm not really understanding the Alex thing.
Which part?
The end. Okay, so- So at the total time, he's been a good guy.
He's been a good guy. He sees her as a wounded burden, so he doesn't want to be rough with her. He wants to take care of her. I think he's a caretaker the way he took care of Rhea growing up from his childhood and everything.
But like- There's a dark side of him?
No, I just think that he is moving on from seeing her in that way, which is what she wanted.
Okay, but I was getting the vibe that she sees in him, like a dark side where he likes the rough and tumble.
In a way, what he said, not if it's coming from a place of trauma. He didn't want to do it when he thought it was like she was coming from a place of trauma.
And how does he see... How does he not see that it is coming from a place of trauma because she's sitting on the bed crying.
She's crying for other reasons. It's not crying because of Chris. He thinks she's crying. Crying because of Chris. She's crying because she made that video. It's separate things. And she's doing it. I guess it ultimately is trauma, not the trauma he thinks, but she wants to punish herself for the bad things that she's done. It's a lot. I'm not going to pretend to understand all of it, but I feel like I don't think he's a bad guy at all. I think he's actually a good guy.
I think people are having conversations about the conversation between Diana and Lucy. I was going to say Lisa. I'm like, What the hell is her name? About how to handle Steven. And hers is like, yeah, Diana is very... She's protecting herself, but yeah, she's not getting justice, and he's not going to be put. But it's like a way to live versus Lucy. He's like, Well, this is injustice, and we have to fix it. Yeah, in an ideal world, sure. But you guys have to coexist, and you have to live. So Diana's method is the more effective one.
Yeah. I I mean, Diana's method is the only way through. He's graduating soon. Hopefully, we could all move on, and you just don't want to set him off.
And look at the wedding. Diana is the one who has successfully escaped his grasp. She's moved on. She seems to be a successful lawyer. She's in a relationship with Pippa, whereas Lucy's still having sex with him and playing whatever games that they play. Yeah. Very upsetting.
Yeah, it was very upsetting. The party, the way Lucy was just skulking around, just nervous at every corner.
It also, like you said, it doesn't occur to these people, like Lucy, specifically, that she can transfer. And again, it would solve all of her problems. She also can start hanging out with a different group of friends.
Yeah, she is considering study abroad, which is good, but that- We haven't heard back from that. That will be next semester, and Steven is leaving, so not really necessary.
Or like, if Steven's going to a party, don't go. She doesn't actively avoid him. And it's not fair to blame her because he's the evil one, but she seems like she wants to get away from him in some instances, but she doesn't take any active steps to doing that.
Yeah. I feel like last season she did. She was being better.
She was- And then he got his grips her again.
Yeah. I don't fully under... I guess that's just the toxic cycle. Right. But he's so awful. Yeah, it's really crazy. That game was crazy. But anyways, we have our brigly.
Oh, by the way, obsessed with that game. When you're not in a crazy group of people, we should play.
That sounds so fun. I would never take the... I would just be like, okay.
Obviously. And I wanted to shake Lucy. Don't fucking drink. That's a way to protect yourself. You want to rise above? Great. They literally gave you away. And what was her question? Who Hates Themself the Most?
Oh, yeah. From Evan.
Who was fucking writing these questions? Obviously, Steven wrote a few.
And she wanted an interesting game. So the girl- The girl. Yeah.
She's wild. It was giving housewives like, who plays a game like that?
Yeah. I feel like they'll play it on housewives.
I never heard of this game before, but it's so housewives coded.
Yeah, I would not drink. I don't care what you guys think of me.
Seriously, you're all low life losers. You're going nowhere in life. I'm all set. T-t-y-l. T-t-f-n. Tata for now.
So, yeah, that's Tell Me Thigh.
It's episode 8. So what is their 10 episode?
Oh, so this was the story that Bre and the actor who plays Oh, Evan was being a real prick. Yeah.
I feel like that was very incongerous with the guy that we know. He really loves Bre. I feel his love is really genuine. And this ground-baking moment, him being like, Why didn't you tell me?
Yeah, but I think it comes from him being so loving and possessive of her where he wants to be the number one person. You would think he would be on his best behavior because he just got her back and whatever you want, Bre. But yeah, he's acting a little incongerous, I would agree. It was confusing.
It was just like they needed him to conveniently become the villain.
Well, Well, they said that... Bri said that the finale is going to blow up the internet.
Really? Is it this a series finale?
No.
There's one more season. It feels like there's too many loose ends.
Yeah. It's the middle of the second semester of their sophomore year.
They could do more. They have more. The younger girls have more.
But once the boys graduate, I think it's over.
Well, that's this semester. There's one more semester.
This semester. Yeah, it's spring. How can we do one whole- They just came back from Christmas.
Season They just came back from Christmas.
What time of year is it? I think it's like February. Oh, Valentine's Day.
Right.
Oh, so they're only like halfway through the semester. So they're like a couple weeks away from the finale.
They still spring break.
Yeah. I feel like they could equan out. And who would not go do another season of such a successful show.
Yeah. Okay. Yeah. But after Alan Cumming saying that the Traitor's Banquet was the biggest thing- I'm literally scarred. Traumatized. And it was like, fine. I'm not believing Bre.
I thought I was like, shrewd and jaded, and I completely fell for that. So we'll see if this really blows up the Internet.
I'm going to need another Brighly kiss. That's not disgusting. Just putting that out there. Please and thanks.
It would have been like, sweeter to hug in that moment.
Of course. And just like, they've come to terms like, We're stopping fighting each other. Like, let's just...
We know, and you're here for me. It's not just about, we'll get to the kiss, but right now you're just here for me.
Yeah. Especially Was she because it was this traumatizing evening for her with her teacher?
Yeah, it was not sexy.
Or cute. People are being like, We got her #briggly because I went on Twitter after to see what people were saying. And I'm like, We got breath. I don't know what you guys are I saw, I saw breath.
You had this same reaction.
Me and Ben had a whole conversation about it, actually, because he was shocked.
It's so us. I don't know why I would think that It would have escaped me.
Yeah. It's, of course, my first thought. You know, I'm obsessed with Brett.
Yeah. And it's like everyone's waiting for this kiss and like that's- Yucky. On the stoop outside of her teacher's house where she just spent the night in her Gothic makeup and the musty breath.
