00:00:03

Good morning, girlies. It's The Toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the facts by things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's The Toast. They sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast, and happy Thursday. Hope everybody's having a great latter half of the week.

00:00:30

How are you?

00:00:31

Oh my God, me?

00:00:32

Mm-hmm.

00:00:33

I'm okay.

00:00:34

I know, you're stressed.

00:00:35

I had a stress the morning.

00:00:36

It was an intense morning for 30.

00:00:37

Like, nothing major, just drama.

00:00:39

It was all made up in your head, but real nonetheless.

00:00:42

No, and the thing is what nobody talks about is pregnancy rage. People are super hormonal. They're like, I'm so emotional. I'm like, I'm rageful. Like, little things that would upset me, especially vehicular stuff, when people are driving slow. I actually get afraid. It's not good for me or the baby how angry I get. I'm working on it.

00:01:01

Maybe it is good for the baby, though, because it's what your body is naturally doing. So maybe it's just like what- You're saying I should lean in more? Yeah. No, it's like you have to trust your body, right?

00:01:09

Every time I get really angry, Ben's like, Calm down. Not calm down, because I would slap him. He's like, It's okay. You're valid. This is not good for the baby. And I'm like, What if it is?

00:01:16

What if it is? What if it's just what the baby wants?

00:01:18

Yeah.

00:01:19

I think it is. Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing it.

00:01:22

Thousand percent.

00:01:22

Lean in.

00:01:23

I did get a prenatal massage yesterday, which should be covered by medical insurance. It was so medically necessary. One of the ones where you're on your side. Have you ever done the ones where they have the hole in the table?

00:01:33

Yes.

00:01:33

So much better.

00:01:34

It depends. I like being on my side. I did the hole in the table one once, and it was just too much. I think I was light-headed when I got up.

00:01:42

I did one in the hole in the table, and I actually at one point moaned out loud. It was so amazing. And it was at the point in the pregnancy where I really hadn't slept on my stomach in months. I'm still low key a little bit on my stomach. Not really. But side is good. They make you flop around a lot. Turn to the right, turn to left, turn to your back.

00:01:58

You could also say, I don't I don't want to turn.

00:02:00

The turning is deeply humiliating.

00:02:02

You can say, I don't want to turn. Like, pick a spot, and it's your massage. You're the boss. If you ever- You're the boss.

00:02:07

You're naked and rolled, oiled up, and they're like... Even in a regular massage, when you need to flip from back to front, It's humiliating.

00:02:16

It's just destabilizing, really.

00:02:17

And I always wonder, I wonder if she's judging me. So I tried to be really graceful. It was hard.

00:02:22

But they pick up the sheet so that they don't see.

00:02:23

Of course. Oh, my God. That's between me and God.

00:02:26

Hopefully.

00:02:26

That's between me and God.

00:02:27

Well, that's good. I'm glad that you were feeling relaxed, but now feeling rageful once again.

00:02:31

Yes. The pregnancy rage lingers on. Good thing. That's carrying me between my first and second pregnancies. I didn't know if that was going to come this time.

00:02:37

I feel that a little bit.

00:02:38

I can confirm the rage. Postpartum rage as well. Like the breastfeeding hormones. My hormones manifest themselves in rage.

00:02:44

Maybe we just have anger issues. No. Because would you say not postpartum, not pregnant, you don't feel rage?

00:02:52

I mean, like a normal amount for sure. But no, I actually think, like when I was growing up, I had such a short temper. And I've actually noticed in my maturity, in my adulthood, I'm much better about it. I don't really get angry, crazy like that, unless there's like, extendating circumstances, of course. But no, in pregnancy, I'm a rageful, very angry woman.

00:03:12

Cool, cool, cool.

00:03:13

There's nothing like a mad woman. What a shame she went mad.

00:03:18

Cool, cool.

00:03:19

No one likes a mad woman. They made her like that. True.

00:03:24

Cool, cool.

00:03:25

And if there's a man, send a hand on me and you find something to wrap your nose around.

00:03:32

I heard a really good mashup yesterday.

00:03:35

Okay, DJ ear worm.

00:03:36

Even better than this one.

00:03:37

No such thing, but I'll...

00:03:39

It was... You've probably heard it.

00:03:40

Yeah, I know what it is.

00:03:42

Babylon will come back, be here.

00:03:44

Yeah.

00:03:44

So good.

00:03:45

So good. I'm glad it made its way to Reels.

00:03:47

Yeah, people are like, yeah, definitely.

00:03:50

People on Instagram are loving it?

00:03:52

I think so. I'm loving it.

00:03:55

I'm so glad.

00:03:56

Did you see the reel yesterday of that boy sneezing?

00:04:00

I did. You're actually... That sentence is like the chewiest thing you've ever said.

00:04:06

Did you ever see that before?

00:04:09

I didn't. And I can't lie, I didn't really crack up, but I loved it for you.

00:04:13

Oh my God, I was laughing.

00:04:16

I was like, Oh, that's funny. And it's like, you know.

00:04:18

I'll post it to my story after this. It's classic stuff.

00:04:22

You know, it was clever. It was very clever. But I just knew you were shaking as you sent it to me. And I was like, Oh, it's funny.

00:04:33

Ben would appreciate it. I should have sent it to Ben.

00:04:35

And that's just a sign that it's not funny. You know?

00:04:40

Oh, my gosh. I'm cracking. Last night, I didn't watch any TV, really. I just watched a lot of clips.

00:04:44

Oh, that's genuinely a horrible way to spend your night. But so bad for your brain.

00:04:48

I tried. I turned on my television. I put on Hulu and Netflix, and there were things that looked good. I just wasn't in the mood for something good. So I started the Girls.

00:04:59

Oh, the Kim Kardashian.

00:05:01

Yeah, the Chloe Show.

00:05:02

Oh, sorry. I was talking about the Team Mom.

00:05:05

No, I didn't start Team Mom. I started the Girls.

00:05:07

Of all the things, that's what you started?

00:05:09

That's what I gravitate towards. It's true. It was like, mindless reality TV. And I didn't get through 10 minutes. It was not good. It was so strange.

00:05:18

And you're primed to like it because you love those girls. You love Nat and Liv.

00:05:23

I don't like it.

00:05:24

Nobody will.

00:05:25

Nobody on Earth will.

00:05:26

That's so sad for Chloe.

00:05:29

It was so strange, just the setup.

00:05:31

Yeah, what do you mean?

00:05:32

Putting all their friends together. They refuse to... They're on FaceTime, but Chloe will not film with them. One of the girls, Iris, I think is more Kylie's friend. She's going to fight with people.

00:05:41

Okay.

00:05:41

And it's like, go and film a show and fight.

00:05:44

Yeah. It's not natural.

00:05:46

No, it was so not natural.

00:05:47

Yeah.

00:05:48

So that was a bit of voice of time. So I watched the old dancing with the stars clips.

00:05:52

Oh, I watched the old episodes of The Nanny. I'm in a phase where I can't really accept anything new. All the music I listen to is old music. I'm not in the to discover new things. So I'm watching The Nanny. It's literally the best show on TV, and I don't know exactly what year it air, but it must have been the most popular show on TV at the time. You know, Elizabeth Taylor did a guest star. Last night, Elton John, the episode I watched, Rosanne. Every famous person in the world was on the show. It must have been huge.

00:06:19

Did you hear Rosanne is making a comeback?

00:06:21

No, I didn't.

00:06:23

She's going to be in a new show. Let me see. Like, not on YouTube or whatever.

00:06:30

You know, actually...

00:06:30

Or like... Or...

00:06:33

Yeah, like, is it a fake or a real?

00:06:35

Give me a minute.

00:06:37

Because I watched her. She played Fran's cousin Shirley, who's an interior designer who she hires to do the kitchen. I have to say it was a pretty bad performance. Ben and I were pretty shook at her acting skills. That was, I think, like Roseanne's peak. Roseanne was Roseanne at the time because she was that bitch. I'm like, She sucks. She was really bad.

00:06:54

You're saying Roseanne's not a good actress?

00:06:56

You want to know why? No, she doesn't play Jewish well. She's She's not Jewish, right? She is. Oh, never mind. Okay. Are you sure?

00:07:03

Roseanne Barr.

00:07:05

I don't think she's Jewish. Is she Jewish? I don't think so.

00:07:08

And also, maybe I had a dream that Roseanne was making a comeback, so I'm not really finding- She is Jewish.

00:07:13

Oh, that's interesting. She wasn't giving Flushing's Jew, you know?

00:07:17

The series, her comeback series is called Meema.

00:07:20

Who's on it? I mean, sorry, what's it on? It's not a comeback if you're not on a major.

00:07:24

It's true. Okay, wait. It says Indie. Oh, yeah. Independently-produced television series is being shopped to distributors. I guess, okay, so someone could pick it up TBD if it's a comeback.

00:07:33

Yeah. Good luck. Oh, wow. Where was in Jewish? I literally didn't know that.

00:07:41

Yeah. Does that change how you feel about her performance?

00:07:46

No. No, she wasn't convincing. Imagine, she must be that bad of an actress that you're actually Jewish, and I didn't even buy it. I didn't buy it. Elizabeth Taylor.

00:07:57

What else did I scan past last evening? East of Eden is a show that looked good on Netflix, but I didn't want to watch something that looked good.

00:08:06

And I don't know why. I just feel like you are incapable of liking something that Florence Pew is in. Do you know what I mean?

00:08:13

I know, but I was looking at her face in the small trailer, and she actually was reminding me a lot of Kate Winslet in the sense that she's just an actress. She can be anything.

00:08:24

She doesn't have plastic surgery face where it's like, You can't be an Imperial piece.

00:08:27

Yeah. She really looked like a young Kate Winslet, and I was like, It's I think it's not flow.

00:08:31

You know, and I don't know why I think that- I think her name is Kate. I don't know why I think that you wouldn't like the stuff that she's in.

00:08:37

I think I would, actually.

00:08:39

Yeah.

00:08:39

I would just open up my mind. Did you see Oppenheimer? No.

00:08:41

She wasn't... You didn't?

00:08:42

No.

00:08:43

You should watch it. It's really good.

00:08:45

I should.

00:08:45

I really enjoyed it. And I didn't even know a lot about the man.

00:08:48

I also should watch Little Women.

00:08:51

Which one?

00:08:52

The Timothy one.

00:08:54

Yeah. We should read Little Women, actually.

00:08:58

And I also need to watch the Banana with my children.

00:09:01

You know what? Speaking of clips, I pretty much watched the whole Banana Bowl.

00:09:04

I haven't seen anything. It's like the Irish tour.

00:09:06

In Sunday morning, I was bombarded with content by it, and I was so upset that I didn't watch it. It looked so cute. The Jonas Brothers performed Andy Graber performed, like all of our guys.

00:09:17

No, no, no. Next time I'm looking for something to watch with the kids, I'm going to watch the Bananable.

00:09:20

It looked seriously like joy. And I think it's also... People can explain to me what goes on with the Bananable games as much as they want. I will never understand how it's a theatrical performance and baseball, but I believe the bananas lost. Jackson said it on Dance With The Stars. It wasn't the outcome he wanted, but it was an amazing... And I think the guy who started the Banana Bowl, it's this amazing story where he's just some random guy who wanted to dance, and he hired these ragtag. And now they really are a league. There's six teams. There used to just be one, and then there was two, the party animals. And now they're six teams, and they all play each other, and they all dance. And it's apparently a big thing. And he's on his way to being the World's He's the worst ethical billionaire because he refuses. He will not sell. He will not sell his company. He said, even if I got offered- What makes him ethical? He just really does it for the love of family, children. He wants it to be fun.

00:10:10

He wants it to be this positive- And he's the world's first who said that.

00:10:13

You know, like- Who said Yeah. Like, billionaires are evil. And they're like, every time he does an interview and it's like, he really is. He must be worth $100 million now. And this is like, what? One or 2 years. The Banana Ball is just getting started. And he really, like you could tell, he just does it for the love of the game. The millions are just...

00:10:31

The cherry on top.

00:10:32

Gravy.

00:10:33

Yeah.

00:10:33

And he's like, he will never sell. I guess not that they infringe at all on the MLB because it's really its own sport. It's not even like... I know it's baseball, but he's creating a whole new league.

00:10:45

Yeah.

00:10:45

And now it's being televised on Hulu. I'm telling you, they're on their way.

00:10:49

And now young men like Troy Bolton don't have to choose between sports and theatrics.

00:10:53

Oh, my God. Had there only been the Savannah Bananas of Albuquerque?

00:10:57

Right. It would have been a perfect thing for him. And Maybe that's an issue that happens more frequently than you would think. Maybe. Young athletic men who have a love for theater.

00:11:06

Who've got a little pep in their step.

00:11:07

Yeah. It reminds me of Disney on Ice. People who don't cut it as hockey players or theatrical hockey players, figure skaters, Olympians. Then they can take their talents to Disney on Ice.

00:11:19

And I like when we create new professions for athletes, like how there's not competitive cheerleading past collegiate level. I am waiting for that league to start. So this is so fun. And it's all Kids love it. It's a really nice... And so I was watching the clips and I was like, Why do I feel like I would really enjoy this?

00:11:34

You know what they need to do that for? Lacrosse. Yeah, except- Lacrosse is so competitive in middle school and high school and college, and then there's no career for it.

00:11:46

But I also feel like it's a regional thing. It's not big outside of New England, is it? It's a very waspy sport.

00:11:53

Sure. But a lot of... You could say golf, skiing. Some things are regional because they have to be.

00:11:59

Yeah, I I don't know why. I don't feel like lacrosse is mainstream.

00:12:02

I just don't know why, if you're an athletic youngster, why you would go all in on lacrosse when there's no career path.

00:12:09

Yeah. If I'm an athletic youngster, I'm definitely now gunning for a place on the Savannah Bananas.

00:12:14

Yeah. Also now, hockey is really picking up. So he might be going for hockey.

00:12:17

Yeah. You know my favorite fun fact about Savannah Bananas? His girlfriend is Pat Sajak's daughter.

00:12:22

Yeah, I know.

00:12:22

I'm always telling people that.

00:12:23

Oh, well, that actually is a good segue into our first story, into one of our stories that I would now make our first.

00:12:28

Oh, my God. Did you see Is it the story that Tyler Cameron is dancing to Supermarket flowers?

00:12:32

No, what's that? So they released- It's a story of dedications.

00:12:36

I don't know if they released everyone's songs, but the Supermarket flowers is the song about... It's Ed Sheeran, you definitely know it. It's about losing a loved one. It's the saddest song ever.

00:12:48

And he's dedicating his dance to Mothers Everywhere.

00:12:51

And I just want to let you know, I cried reading the description, and I will be crying. I need Ben to go out that night because I need to watch it by myself. I will be crying.

00:12:58

Yeah.

00:12:58

We'll get into all the And the funny thing is, is that people are like, dedication. First of all, you really can't send someone home. But there's a famous night in Dancing with the Stars history when James Van der Beek was on, and he shared that that week or in the weeks prior, his wife had miscarried, and that's the night they sent him home. He did this dance for his wife. It was all about the miscarriage, and literally, they sent him home that night. Isn't that insane?

00:13:23

That's really disgusting.

00:13:24

I was going to say, you can't send Tyler home when he does this beautiful thing, but you actually can.

00:13:27

Wow, they really are disgusting. But maybe they won't send someone home, and then the week after, send two people home. That works for me.

00:13:33

I am waiting for a double elimination. There are still far too many people in this season, and they... Oh, what's the double elimination?

00:13:39

Also, Guillermo said that if he had made it to Dedication Night, he was dancing for Jimmy Kimmel.

00:13:44

Oh, you know what? I'm glad to have been...

00:13:46

Jimmy probably called ABC and told them to throw him off, so he didn't have to show up to Dancing with the Stars.

00:13:50

That is strange, I just want to say.

00:13:53

Why?

00:13:54

It's not meaningful at all.

00:13:55

Well, I actually think they would make it meaningful. I'm sure Jimmy Kimmel changed his life.

00:13:59

And I'm sure Jimmy has done amazing things for him and his family.

00:14:01

No, I think he would be crying.

00:14:02

But if I'm his wife...

00:14:03

I think it would have been a nice moment. No, because of course, even yesterday we were talking about you would dance for Ben. Of course, I could dance for my husband. Of course.

00:14:11

Of course. A lot of people pointed out, We could dance for our deceased father, which I actually forgot to mention.

00:14:16

Which we didn't even think.

00:14:17

We didn't. Our bad.

00:14:18

I just feel like, no.

00:14:20

Yeah, no. And it's not what he would have wanted.

00:14:23

I just want to say he did like dancing with the stars.

00:14:26

Daddy?

00:14:27

Yeah. I think he used to watch dancing with the stars. Are you serious? Before I slander.

00:14:31

Ask Olivia. I just feel like that's maybe a memory you are making up.

00:14:35

No, because I remember, and I have to check the years, but I remember when Kim Kardashian was on, that he was watching it. What? Yeah. And we were like, Oh, my God, Kim Kardashian. Can you find out when Kim was on if he was even alive?

00:14:47

Yeah, right. Watch. It's like 10 years after.

00:14:49

No. If he was alive when Kim was on, then- Then your memory serves you correctly.

00:14:52

The year he died, what months were the episodes airing?

00:15:00

Yeah. What day exactly did she get eliminated?

00:15:01

What month is it now? It's October now.

00:15:05

It was September, not October.

00:15:06

September, not October.

00:15:06

No, no. But what day did Kim Kardashian get eliminated?

00:15:10

She, well, 5 days before his death.

00:15:12

Maybe he died because he was so heartbroken.

00:15:14

Maybe.

00:15:15

That she was eliminated.

00:15:16

Maybe. Chilling to think about.

00:15:18

Is that my last memory of my father?

00:15:20

But where were you, physically?

00:15:23

In the house? In the room that was his office.

00:15:26

But I'm saying, why would you have been in that house? We weren't living in that house. Our parents were recently divorced. Maybe you were visiting for the weekend, of course.

00:15:34

Was it Roch Shana? When was Roch Shana, 2008? Because he died in between Roch Shana and you were in divorce. Maybe I did second night. There. Watch him go home.

00:15:42

Watch his face. The day Kim was eliminated. September 30th, she was eliminated on Roch Shana. So maybe after dinner, he posted on the couch.

00:15:53

We watched Jantzman's stars.

00:15:54

I have zero memory of this.

00:15:56

Kim was eliminated, and that's my final memory.

00:15:58

And broke our father's heart permanently.

00:16:02

I think I'm right.

00:16:03

I believe you, by the way.

00:16:04

The date's check out. September 30th, September 30th. He passed on October fourth, 2008.

00:16:11

Chilling.

00:16:12

Never saw the next episode.

00:16:13

And you know what? It's good he wasn't alive to see the show go on without her.

00:16:18

I think I will dance for him.

00:16:20

That's beautiful. And you can tell the story. They could play this clip.

00:16:23

I was discovering that he was a fan of dancing with the stars.

00:16:26

We'll have to have Olivia corroborate just 100%, but I believe you.

00:16:30

I just maybe... I believe myself. How about that?

00:16:32

Okay, I love that.

00:16:33

She texted. What did she say? On calls, what's up?

00:16:37

Of course she is.

00:16:37

I need you to fact check for the toast.

00:16:39

A childhood memory.

00:16:41

I feel like she'll take this seriously and hang up her calls.

00:16:43

No, I feel like you could just text it to her if you want.

00:16:45

No, no, no. I need to set it up.

00:16:46

Okay, okay.

00:16:48

Whenever she calls back, we'll pick up. And in the meantime, we'll do our job.

You can scan the QR code on their label to see the results for your specific batch. Again, the vanilla has 21 grams of protein per scoop.

00:17:44

It's from pasture-raised and grass-fed whey protein and only has five ingredients. They have an unflaved option which is 24 grams of protein per scoop. It's also from pasture-raised and grass-fed whey protein, and it only has one ingredient. The dark chocolate has 21 grams of protein per scoop from pasture-raised and grass-fed whey protein and only has four ingredients. Also, even when I'm not pregnant, I'm very, very sensitive to smell. People's breath, I just can't be around. And I don't think enough people are taking care of their breath. 00:22:21

I did want to remind everyone that the Dear Toaster's Community will be fed today. So I forgot to say that at the beginning. We are women of our word. Our DTQOT, Dear Toaster's Community on Thursday, starts today.

00:22:32

First story, Dancing with the Stars: Dedication Night reveal. Here is who the participants are honoring. So we just got the list of... They always preview what people are dancing to. Now we will know who they are dancing for in advance. So first we have Julia Stiles and Esra Sosa. They'll be dancing to Can't Take My Eyes Off of You, and she is dedicating her dance to Heath Ledger.

00:22:56

Oh, okay. So I saw this, and obviously, that's really beautiful. I don't claim to know much about their relationship, but it doesn't feel just a little like...

00:23:11

I'm not not speaking because I'm afraid. What is the word?

00:23:16

You're telling me, of all the people in our whole life, the one person she wants to dedicate it to is Heath Ledger. I love Heath Ledger. He's worthy of the dedication. They did one movie together 40 years ago. Were they that tight? It just feels a little bit like how she did her. So you You Think You Can Dance, Dance last week. Just like an... Not an attention grab. What's the word I'm looking for?

00:23:35

I guess we'll have to learn in the package more about their relationship. Their relationship. Also, I misread this article yesterday, and I thought Tatiana was dancing for Heath Ledger. I just assumed they were friends. I don't know. I just got confused. And when I thought it was Tatiana, I was okay with it. So I have to be okay with it, with it being Julia Siles.

00:23:50

And as far as I know, they did one movie together. Maybe there's a whole relationship there that I don't know, but it just feels like they're relying a lot on her lore to carry them through because it's just not working otherwise. Is that mean to say?

00:24:03

No, they are. That's what you do.

00:24:05

Yeah. Like a little shticky.

00:24:07

Yeah, of course.

00:24:08

And that's not to say that Keith Ledger absolutely deserves this great honor.

00:24:11

Yeah, it's a great honor. I will wait to see the package. Maybe they were friends for life.

00:24:17

Yeah, no. I'm being a bitch. I need to know more.

00:24:19

Yeah. Harry Shum Jr. Is going to dedicate his foxtrot to his wife. They're dancing to Stop This Train by John Meyer.

00:24:26

That's such a good song.

00:24:28

It could be the thing.

00:24:29

It could be the thing.

00:24:31

Jackson Olson will be dancing to L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole, dedicating to his mom.

00:24:37

Anyone who dedicates to their mother? Like, Sorry, you're getting my votes.

00:24:40

Yeah. He is dating Pat- Say Jack's daughter. But that's just his girlfriend. You can't dedicate to your girlfriend.

00:24:46

I mean, you can if you're going to propose.

00:24:47

On the dance floor. That's the only way. Tyler, Cameron, and Sharna, dancing to supermarket flowers, dedicated to mothers everywhere. So he's dedicating his dance to us.

00:24:57

Yeah, because obviously we knew he wanted to dance for His mom, his mom is a big part of his story. When he was on the bachelor, she was obviously on it. She was a fan favorite. People loved her. And then when he became so famous on social media, people just loved his mom. And she really passed away so suddenly. In a matter of 24 hours, she had a brain aneurysm. She was not sick. Really, it was so, so sad. And he's so committed after her death to raising money in her honor. Me and Ben just went a couple of months ago to one of his foundation things. He has this amazing foundation where they provide scholarships. He's so passionate about keeping his mom's memory alive. And I feel like that is part of the reason why he agreed to do this show. And for him to then do it for his mom, but also mothers everywhere.

00:25:38

Yeah, you're not going home. Sorry. Next, we have Jenna Dawan. She's dancing for her mom, Nancy.

00:25:44

Like I said, a mom is a really good way to get me to care. I don't know anything about Jenna Dawan's mom, but I'm looking forward to learning.

00:25:49

I'm looking forward to learning as well. Connor Wood will be dancing for his dad, Pete.

00:25:53

I love that. Also, I meant to tell you, I saw this TikTok today that you're going to love. It was this girl just talking about how she realized this most beautiful thing. One of the random front chips that's come out of this season is Connor and Esra Frack. They're really, really close. They make all their TikToks together. They're obviously always hanging out. Fibula has talked really positively about him on the podcast. And you know, Esra Frack was born with some limb disability. And one of the things that he was born without is a fibula. And now he has his fibula. Isn't that really cute?

00:26:27

I have chills. Why is fibula called fibula?

00:26:30

No clue. That's just how I'm a girl with no job. He's fibula. I can't. I don't know. I'm sure there's like, lore, but I don't know it.

00:26:35

Okay. That's really cute. Esra will be dancing for his mother, Bahar. I'm ready to cry.

00:26:41

I'm ready to cry. Whenever they talk about like, Esra as a kid and they show pictures of him. Like, I actually can't.

00:26:46

Ellen, being like the most mature, emotionally intelligent child you've ever seen.

00:26:51

Yeah. Honestly, I never took into consideration what it's like to be pregnant, watching Dancing with the Stars Dedication Night. I'm going to be crying the whole time.

00:26:58

Amber Glenn will to be dancing for her sister.

00:27:01

Oh, Sister Swirl.

00:27:03

To breathe me by Sia.

00:27:05

Now, remind me, this night, do the people... Is it a threesome night?

00:27:09

Don't ask me.

00:27:10

Okay.

00:27:11

I think it is.

00:27:12

Okay.

00:27:13

Then Maura Higgins will be dancing for Ireland.

00:27:16

You know what I thought? This was interesting.

00:27:18

Yeah. They're doing a Pasadobles for Ireland.

00:27:22

They should do like an Irish jig.

00:27:23

Of course. I think this could be really good.

00:27:26

Yeah. I want to hear why. I know she's so proud to be Irish.

00:27:30

Yeah. And she's so Irish, and she's in this foreign country.

00:27:32

And I think she also really represents the Irish dream. She grew up super poor in a rural area. So I'm looking forward to that. That's nice.

00:27:40

I like, and it's a little different.

00:27:42

Agreed.

00:27:43

Tatiana Ali has not announced who she's dancing for yet, and it's going to be announced on the official Dancing with the Stars podcast, which comes out at noon today.

00:27:51

So it's obviously Uncle Phil, right? He passed away.

00:27:54

But why does that have to be a special... Why does anything have to be a special announcement?

00:27:58

I don't think it's like... I think people might be reading into it too much. Every week, one of the participants is the guest on the podcast. She's the guest this week. And so they're making it a thing. I don't think it's that big of a thing, honestly. Or I know she has... A lot of her platform as a celebrity is about maternal health, so maybe it'll have something to do with that.

00:28:16

Okay.

00:28:17

I don't know. I'm just guessing. Or she's going to do a Julius Diles where it's her public person who passed, which is the dad from Fresh Prince, right?

00:28:25

Yeah.

00:28:26

Anyone else from Fresh Prince pass away? No.

00:28:28

Not pass away, but it doesn't have to someone who passed away.

00:28:30

Oh, right, right, right, right.

00:28:32

It could be Will Smith.

00:28:33

Oh, I would love to see Will Smith in the ball room shaking that thing.

00:28:35

It could be Alfonso.

00:28:37

I do love their friendship.

00:28:39

Yeah.

00:28:40

Like, Alfonso is very professional. He doesn't like Julienzo, and he's like... And He only gets excited when he sees Tatiana. It's really cute.

00:28:47

Yeah. Okay, so it's going to be a great night. See you next week.

00:28:50

It's going to be extremely emotional.

00:28:51

Our next story. Megan Markle and Prince Harry are back in the UK.

00:28:57

Which we knew.

00:28:58

They have made their first official joint appearance doing a walkabout in Nottingham this morning.

00:29:04

When I saw these pictures, I was very confused because they looked like pictures from their time.

00:29:08

From back in the day when they were working royals.

00:29:09

Part of your job as a working royal is doing this thing called a walkabout where literally just droves of people show up behind barricades to see you. You walk, you chat with the commoners, you get flowers, you get gifts, and it's just like, you've seen it in the Crown. It's something only royals do.

00:29:23

Yeah.

00:29:24

So when literally Page 6 just posted these photos, and I was like, Are these from today? It's crazy to stage your own walkabout.

00:29:30

No, it's fucking crazy that they've done this.

00:29:34

It's giving a very off-brand, generic brand walkabout. That's not a thing. We'll put up the barricades.

00:29:40

That's not a thing that a celebrity would do.

00:29:43

But the thing is, is that Harry is technically this beloved Prince, Princess Diana. I could see why people would show up.

00:29:55

I'm not questioning the people who showed up.

00:29:56

I mean, either I...

00:29:57

They could be getting paid.

00:29:58

The photos, literally, it could be Kate. You accept the bouquet of flowers, you kiss the baby.

00:30:02

These photos could be from 6 years ago. Yeah, it's textbook walkabout, which is not a thing that happens, one, organically for even royals, but two, happens for celebrities.

00:30:11

It's very weird. It's really weird.

00:30:14

What are they trying to do? Just act like royals and just pretend they're royals again?

00:30:18

But the thing is, is that you didn't like being royals.

00:30:22

Maybe they liked the walkabouts.

00:30:25

I do want to say they look lovely. People just telling you how amazing and beautiful you are.

00:30:28

Everyone has flowers for you. All children look up to you.

00:30:30

They cry. You mean so much. It sounds amazing. Who wouldn't want to do it? But you had that and you both hated it. You left. Now you're returning to the place, returning to the job in all but a formal capacity.

00:30:41

Like, doing it for free. I don't know. Maybe they're just going to do this until Charles just has to absorb them back.

00:30:48

Yeah, like unignorable. But I feel that Charles is low-key, very quiet these days. I feel like his health might be not the best. And I really don't think he's even thinking about these two because you know I believe he's not even biologically related to Harry. So it's like, why is this random guy doing walkabouts?

00:31:05

In my name.

00:31:06

In my country. Right. Did you see Mimi Webb saying the national anthem at the NFL game? Nfl does this international where they make the players fly. I think the most recent game was in the UK. So they also sing the UK National Anthem, which is lovely, and Mimi Webb saying it.

00:31:21

She was beautiful. I did see.

00:31:22

And I guess they changed the song when it's like, King or Queen, because I always sing, Long live our noble queen. But she said, I guess. Yeah.

00:31:30

Yes. Because they have a king. And we've only been alive with Queen Elizabeth. So that's the only version we ever heard.

00:31:39

And it was the first time I really put together, Land where our fathers. It's the same tune. We like, stole it, to like, stunt on them hos.

00:31:48

Well, we're just like their cousin.

00:31:49

Yeah, right. From- It's family lore. Yeah, right. Let freedom ring. I never realized that. That's a slay on our part.

00:32:01

So I'm just thinking of William and Kate, looking at these pictures. Seeing this and dying.

00:32:05

What the fuck? Like, literally dying. There's so many reasons why it's weird. Like, one, it's just a weird thing to do. But two, it's like this was the life you had and you didn't like it.

00:32:14

Yeah. And this is not something that you do unless you are in a public working royal position. I will say a couple of positives. She looks amazing.

00:32:22

Let me see. Actually, I didn't really look her outfit. I was so stunned by the weirdness.

00:32:24

She looks amazing. I'm really taken just all the way back to the feelings of what it felt like to have Megan Markel as a member of the royal family.

00:32:32

And it's entirely possible that they went out to lunch, people heard, and then started lining up. No, it's not. Let me just say...

00:32:37

No, it's not.

00:32:37

Let me say, let's say that they went out to lunch, people heard, and by the time they got up...

00:32:40

It's at 10:30 AM. 10:30 AM.

00:32:41

Maybe they went out for breakfast. Them going and doing the walkabouts with their two assistants behind them. And that's exactly how it is with the royals. You accept the flowers, then you give the flowers to the assistance. If all these people just happen to have showed up at your breakfast, you wave, you had maybe you just had an autograph.

00:32:56

Or that barricades where they come from.

00:32:57

Yeah, right. To do the whole song and dance. She wore maroon for the outing. And yeah, they do it separately. They do it together. It's really cosplaying royals. But you are former royals.

00:33:08

Yeah.

00:33:10

So they went to a food bank.

00:33:12

They're going there today. They're doing a whole- They have a day They're doing a tour.

00:33:16

It's so weird.

00:33:17

They have a day of activities planned. So I'm sure we'll see more photos in PR.

00:33:21

I can't wait, honestly. If... You know, a picture says a thousand words. I could stare at this picture of them. First of all, it is nice that people showed up because as far as... I get the vibe that people in the UK, Americans obviously are over them, but I thought it was way worse for them in the UK.

00:33:39

I think it is. But people showed up. But I'm sure you can find 100 people who would show up to get photographed. And you can pay people. People I paid to show up.

00:33:45

I don't think that they paid, but I agree.

00:33:46

No, but you can pay people to show up to protests, walkabouts.

00:33:50

Yeah, I used to work somewhere, but they would literally pay people to show up.

00:33:53

Show up to be audience members, seat fillers.

00:33:55

One of my jobs was like... It was like a hugely famous people come and they still I think they had seat fillers.

00:34:01

Yeah.

00:34:01

I paid $20.

00:34:02

Where do they even advertise that this walkabout is going down?

00:34:04

I don't know.

00:34:05

How did these people know about it?

00:34:07

No, I'm telling you, something's a mess.

00:34:09

Something.

00:34:10

Someone.

00:34:11

Are you ready for our next story?

00:34:13

Mm-hmm.

00:34:14

Scooter What? It's Scooter Braun and Todrick Hall are joining forces to produce a star-studded off-Broadway musical called Midnight.

00:34:19

What?

00:34:20

Rave reviews. Yeah, Scooter Braun.

00:34:21

Midnight?

00:34:22

It's called Midnight. Scooter Braun and Todrick are making magic together on the New York theater scene. So the mogul and the entertainer have joined forces on a new off- Broadway musical called Midnight, which has been attracting celebrity supporters and drawing enthusiastic reactions from audiences.

00:34:35

Why? What's so great about the play? Why do people care?

00:34:37

That's a great question. I don't know about the play, but he is a producer alongside Todrick, who wrote, directed, choreographed, and stars in the production. So it's a Todrick production.

00:34:50

And obviously, off- Broadway shows don't really make the fast five, but this is an extremely interesting pairing.

00:34:57

Of course, because Todrick is a former close friend of Taylor Swift.

00:35:01

Closest.

00:35:02

Closest. It's been apparent for a few years now that they're not friends anymore.

00:35:07

He likes some shady stuff.

00:35:09

And also the only content he has to post in support of her is old photos. There's no new photos. There's no new adding.

00:35:14

It ends at the You need to calm down era.

00:35:17

Yes. And then also, I remember when Taylor and Scooter, Taylor v. Scooter was going down, Todrick piped in, calling Scooter Greedy.

00:35:26

Yes, of course.

00:35:26

And I just thought that was so... I didn't like it at the time.

00:35:30

The use of the word greeting.

00:35:31

I just didn't like Todrick's presence at all.

00:35:33

Yeah.

00:35:34

And the fact that now...

00:35:36

Well, he was always a controversial friend of Taylor's because he, in his own right, has a lot of controversies surrounding him about how he works and how he acts.

00:35:44

Like what?

00:35:45

Like toxic workplace, stealing ideas.

00:35:48

He really fell off. I mean, you couldn't take two steps without seeing Todrick, the Virgin Airlines.

00:35:53

Jackie, the music videos he used to do with the nine boxes. Yeah, it was a time, and It's been abundantly clear for a while that they are not friends and borderline enemies. He was like such a trusted confidante. Like, imagine fumbling that.

00:36:08

He used to be a client of hers, of Scooter's. Todrick was a client of Scooter's. He tweeted in 2019, For those asking, I left Scooter Braun a long time ago. I'm saddened by this news, but not shocked. I think that's about the masters thing. He's an evil person whose only concern is his wealth and feeding his disgusting ego. I believe he is homophobic, and I know from his own mouth that he is not a Swift fan.

00:36:30

Oh, my.

00:36:31

So for them to be in business together now is crazy.

00:36:35

For Todrick- I just want to say, I could never. I don't even care what the business is. I could never go into business with somebody who said that about me.

00:36:39

Of course. I know. It's like, I don't know what Scooter's motivations are, especially because it's an off-Broadway play.

00:36:44

Like you're a billionaire. Did you forget?

00:36:45

That was a waste of time. But for Todrick, it's like, wait, you think this is an evil homophobic individual? And so either it was not true when you said it because now you're working with him or you are- You are so unscribled. Or you're so unscribled, you're just brushing that aside because you need that billionaire money, but you're off- play.

00:37:00

Right. So strange.

00:37:04

Loser's knees.

00:37:05

Yeah, agreed. Todrick, like the fumble of the century. Nobody was more relevant in culture and up Taylor Swift's ass. She was obsessed with him.

00:37:15

Yeah.

00:37:16

I wonder what happened.

00:37:17

Something happened. And then he switched sides to her op and now is publicly...

00:37:20

I just want to say that's the worst type of person in the world.

00:37:23

I think that's such loser behavior, on all counts.

00:37:26

And I understand why it's attractive to go with your enemy's enemy. But you I was thinking about the other day, when we learned in Earle meets World that Alex Cooper had called Xandra. And instead of Xandra, who probably has lots of anger towards Alex Earle for a multitude of reasons, instead of engaging in that, she told Alex, such a stand-up gal thing to do. It's very tempting to want to work with your enemy's enemy. Like, yes, but honestly, it makes you look like such a loser. It really does.

00:37:54

Yeah, especially when they were your own enemy to begin with.

00:37:57

So unscrupled. Yeah.

00:38:00

I'm trying to understand.

00:38:00

I feel like Xander doesn't get enough credit for that. Don't you feel?

00:38:02

Yeah.

00:38:03

I need to keep bringing it up like good for her.

00:38:04

Yeah, please do. Leah Michelle saw the show. She said, I've been forever changed. My heart and soul has been ripped open. I've never cried so much in a show. I've never been so moved in a show. If you are in New Oh, no. That was an American Idol finalist who said that. But Lea Michelle did go to the show.

00:38:18

Oh, my. And said that.

00:38:19

And she said, This is the most extraordinary show I've ever seen. I cried the entire show. It was so beautiful. Please run to see the show. This is amazing. It's extraordinary. It's beautiful.

00:38:28

What? Lea, girl, am I buying it?

00:38:33

No, but I am because then someone else said the same thing.

00:38:37

What's the show about?

00:38:40

No idea.

00:38:42

I don't really like off-Broadway. I saw one show off It was good.

00:38:45

It was probably super musical because Todrick is talented.

00:38:48

Is very camp. Yeah.

00:38:49

Yeah. Then Scooter has been showing support for the show on social media. What's going on?

00:38:57

What is going on? I haven't He was the name Todrick in years. For real.

00:39:02

Yeah.

00:39:03

Those YouTube videos, when he would release them, time stopped.

00:39:07

Yeah.

00:39:09

And then he was Taylor's best friend. It was probably so much fun being Todrick during those 5 years.

00:39:14

But how did Todrick fuck it all up?

00:39:16

I don't know. Genuinely, can never be me. Never.

00:39:19

So anyways, I just think this is strange.

00:39:21

Of course it is. An unlikely duo.

00:39:24

And not cool of Todrick.

00:39:27

No.

00:39:28

Not cool. And yeah, I would love... What is Scooter's motivation with this off- Broadway show? That sounds incredible. That sounds life-changing.

00:39:35

Sometimes when you're so wealthy and you have lots of different companies under your company, maybe one of his company's subsidiaries does off- Broadway production.

00:39:43

This is the poster. These are the producers.

00:39:45

His name is right there. It's not like Scooter Braun, SB Projects.

00:39:49

It's Scott Scooter Braun.

00:39:52

Interesting.

00:39:53

But he's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, the eighth name down.

00:39:56

Is it alphabetical or anything?

00:39:58

No. Just interesting. You know Taylor's throwing darts at her dartboard.

00:40:06

I actually think she doesn't care about Todrick anymore. That's not someone she has a dartboard for. Definitely Scooter.

00:40:13

I just can't believe Todrick treated that about Scooter.

00:40:16

And now he's working with him. Imagine looking in the eyes of the person you treated that about.

00:40:21

And imagine someone treating that about you. Oh my God, I know. And you work with them.

00:40:24

This is where Hollywood people are so unrelated.

00:40:26

But Scooter is very...

00:40:28

Unaffected.

00:40:28

No, and I feel like he's Like, enlightened and just like, forgiving. You know what I mean? He talks on on podcast and stuff, and I just feel like he's like...

00:40:37

He's giving like, healed.

00:40:38

He's giving healed. He's like, floating above.

00:40:40

Once again, could never be made.

00:40:41

I also think he's the happiest man on the planet right now.

00:40:43

I mean, when Sydney Sweeni is literally in love with you, and she wants to change her religion to be with you. Like, yeah, I think a lot of guys would be healed.

00:40:51

Okay, Todrick.

00:40:52

Yeah, right. Here's a check for your little play.

00:40:57

Are you ready for our next story?

00:40:59

Mm-hmm.

00:40:59

Some more news from Citizen Kim. Keeping up with the Kardashian producers say that they edited out a 30-minute battle of Kanye West ripping into the Kardashian family in 2020. So in the forthcoming biography, Citizen Kim, the writer pulls back the curtain on Kim and Kanye's divorce.

00:41:17

When they talk about the editors of the Kardashian, it's like, That's the girls, I just want to say.

00:41:21

Yes. Well, so they filmed this and it did not air. In October 2020, the entire family came together to celebrate Caitlin's birthday. After an already turbulent several months, during which Kanye launched an unsuccessful presidential campaign and subsequently- Oh my God, I forgot about that. And subsequently accused Kim as well as Chris of trying to lock him up. So the producer, and this is Farnaz Farjam, who's been a producer on Keeping Up Forever. Kanye came to Caitlin's house with Kim, and he just started ripping into Chris and the family and questioning them about not voting for him.

00:41:54

Oh, my God. That's funny.

00:41:55

He just made it all about himself. That whole 30-minute battle was very telling, but we had to edit it out. Why? By the time the episode ultimately aired in June 2021, Kim had already filed for divorce. Oh, wow. Viewers got to see the fallout from the tirade. So there's a scene of Kim crying to her sister's where she says, I just honestly can't do this anymore. I feel like a fucking failure. And it's like a third fucking marriage. Yeah, I feel like a fucking loser. So that conversation followed him yelling at everyone.

00:42:20

Right, right, right. I mean, we know, actually, for many years, they did protect Kanye. I feel like they don't really anymore, and he has calmed down. So the fact that this didn't get air does make sense. There also was... I don't know where it's from. I feel like Kanye also films his whole life. And I think he released this. There's two scenes of him yelling at Chris, saying that he wasn't like this before he met them, and he blames them for everything. And then the scene of Kanye yelling at Kim when they're in the studio, and she's like, You weren't always like this. And it's the only time we've ever seen him really be crazy. And I feel like it's footage he released. They really did go out of their way to protect him for as long as they could.

00:42:59

Yeah.

00:43:00

Which I guess is admirable when that's the father of your children. But once again, seriously, it could never be me.

00:43:04

Yeah, but there are just some things, even if it makes him look there, there are just some things you don't show.

00:43:08

Of course, especially with a mentally ill.

00:43:10

But that's real dirty family laundry. And I think a lot of people just would not respect airing that.

00:43:17

And I also think that a long time ago, they decided this show was not going to be this transparent... It's just a show.

00:43:25

Yeah. And they show the slap. They show fights.

00:43:28

They go there.

00:43:29

The ugly This moments, no. And you shouldn't show that.

00:43:32

Agreed, agreed, agreed.

00:43:33

You shouldn't. And you won't curry favor with viewers. It's like Megan and Harry. They showed the ugliest things. They told the nastiest stories. They bared too much, and people didn't like it.

00:43:42

Well, at the time they did.

00:43:43

No, no, no. But I think the book was like... First, when they were starting to tell these stories, some people were like, Hey, that's too much. She's an old lady, whatever.

00:43:50

Yeah, but for the most part, people were really like...

00:43:52

Living for it.

00:43:52

Yeah.

00:43:53

To a point. And then I think with the book, that was really when the tide started to turn because they were just telling all these unnecessary stories that are, of course, from one person's point of view. And we see how things can really be skewed when someone tells their side from their perspective and their thoughts. With their slant.

00:44:07

Yeah.

00:44:08

And people don't want to see that. Yeah, I think- Because it makes you look like a bad person.

00:44:16

I think for some people, yes. I'm the type of person where it's like, if you tell me this crazy story, yeah, I'll be like, guped and gag. But I will also be like, Why are you telling me this?

00:44:24

Yeah.

00:44:24

I think a lot of people just enjoy the stories and maybe don't. And I don't think... I don't know what it was about Megan and Harry. Truly, I don't know what flipped the switch. It was literally the Netflix show, which is insane because it was the least offensive thing they did since they left.

00:44:37

Oh, that was compounded. When she went into the Netflix show, tides had started to turn.

00:44:43

But what do you think it was?

00:44:44

For me, I remember it feeling like the book and the audio clips and the frozen penis and- Penis.

00:44:52

Spare, you're talking.

00:44:52

Yes, spare. That was when people, I feel like, had had enough. And the Oprah interview, the Netflix docu-series series that they did- People loved the Oprah interview.

00:45:01

People loved the docu-series.

00:45:03

The people were still like, TT. A couple of you guys were like, Hey.

00:45:06

This is just a really intimate detail.

00:45:08

And this is very slanted.

00:45:10

Yeah.

00:45:10

You know?

00:45:11

And you're telling me- And it's easy to talk about a family that you know is never going to respond. They don't do this.

00:45:16

And you're telling me a situation and you're casting your assumptions onto those people. But what if they weren't ill intended? You're not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt. And I think with Spare, this whole long book, they've been pedaling this story for years now. I think that's when people started to feel more comfortable expressing.

00:45:35

He still owes his publisher two books, right? It was a three-book deal. Interesting.

00:45:40

Maybe that's why they fled the country.

00:45:41

They're going to make drama so they have more stuff to write about.

00:45:42

Maybe that's why they fled the country.

00:45:44

Right.

00:45:45

Do they have extradition? Anyways, count me in for reading Citizen Kim.

00:45:51

And obsessed with this whole Kanye argument happening at Caitlin's house.

00:45:56

Yeah.

00:45:57

I'm really glad for Caitlin to be included.

00:45:59

Yeah. Also, So the person who's writing the book is someone who profiled Kim for Vogue in 2019. And I guess they- Hit it off. Hit it off. And she liked him and was like, Okay, you could do it. But I do look forward to hearing more about that process on Kardashian's season.

00:46:14

I'm behind on Kardashian's because the second episode came out, right?

00:46:16

But it didn't come out. It comes out tonight. That's when the first opportunity we have to actually watch it.

00:46:21

I can't stand that.

Thank you, first order.

00:51:53

It's been a pleasure to reach to Giudice's daughter.

00:51:54

I just need to follow up on my conversation with Olivia. Oh, please. That's taking place throughout the course of the show. She She said, She's on calls. I said, I need you to fact check for me. She said, Text me. I said, Do you have any memory of Daddy ever watching dancing with the stars? She said, Wait,.

00:52:09

She wants to make it work for you. That's my agreeable queen.

00:52:11

I said, Dig deeper. What do you remember?

00:52:14

We need to go to a hypnotic therapist, like literally dangle a necklace in front of you.

00:52:18

She said, In the den. So right...

00:52:20

Are you in different rooms? We're in different rooms. Where were you? Upstairs? Okay.

00:52:23

I said, Do you remember anything else? She said, Not really. I can just visualize him watching it in the den, but I have no specific memories about I said, Any cast members? She said, Maybe an athlete, I think.

00:52:34

Okay.

00:52:34

Like a football player.

00:52:35

Maybe ask Margot.

00:52:36

Like who? Margot was five.

00:52:38

And who'd she say?

00:52:39

She's typing. But I am going to Kim's season.

00:52:41

And let's see if that athlete...

00:52:43

I don't think she would know him by name because there's an NFL player who made it to the top two.

00:52:47

Ochocinco?

00:52:48

Warren Sap. She wouldn't know that. But maybe that's who he was rooting for.

00:52:52

Unless Warren Sap played on the Jets. Can you tell me? Because I don't think Daddy was really huge into football. He just really liked the Jets.

00:52:58

Okay. He played for the Bucaneers. Yeah, really just the Bucaneers. It's not fair now, because after I said that, I googled the early cast, and now I can tell you I can visualize him watching Emmett Smith. And I also remember Apollo: Oh, No. So those are different seasons.

00:53:21

Maybe he was really obsessed that he watched it over multiple seasons.

00:53:23

Yeah, I just remember the last day he watched it. I feel like I remember.

00:53:28

It's a trauma response.

00:53:29

No, I feel like I I remember him pointing out to me like, your girl Kim, she got eliminated.

00:53:33

It was like a point of like...

00:53:34

Yeah, because we liked Kardashian. I feel like that's why I remember that day she got eliminated because he was trying to tell me your girl Kim got eliminated. I think I really am remembering I'm not doing it correctly. I'm so nervous. I don't doubt, honestly. I'm not- September 30th, Claudia.

00:53:48

The timing is chilling. And you would remember the last thing he walked.

00:53:52

And I would have gone to the house for Roshashana.

00:53:54

Yeah, definitely.

00:53:55

I would have been in the house that day.

00:53:57

How did we find out where we were for Roshashana, 2008?

00:54:00

We probably could.

00:54:01

I just feel like we weren't there. I don't know why. Where did we spend Russia Shanna in 2008?

00:54:08

Where did we spend first night?

00:54:09

Oh, you're calling her.

00:54:10

I'm trying again. I know she's on calls.

00:54:12

I just feel like I could have seen us being in Florida, like with our cousins.

00:54:14

No, no, no. We were definitely in New York because we didn't...

00:54:16

We had school?

00:54:17

We were definitely in New York in the days leading up. We didn't have a tan at the funeral.

00:54:22

No, that's true. We were very ghostly at the funeral.

00:54:24

We did not have a tan at the funeral. So if you're worried about it being... The only other place we could have been in the city.

00:54:31

You know, we were children of divorce. We had to split. Hi.

00:54:35

Hi. Okay. You're live on the show. I really need your help because you're not... Like what you said is...

00:54:39

You're not helping.

00:54:40

But it doesn't corroborate my story. Do you have any recollection of where we spent Roche Shana, the year that Daddy died? So it was like a couple of days before. It doesn't even. In 2008, like the days leading up. Where did we have Roche Shana? She's on time. Who wants to be a millionaire?

00:54:58

I literally phoned a friend. Well, tell her to get to work. Go investigate.

00:55:01

Find a way to find out where we had Roche Shana in 2008. Can you do that?

00:55:05

That's your homework for tonight.

00:55:06

That she can do. Okay, thank you so much. We love you.

00:55:09

Check phone records. Check, you know.

00:55:11

Just check. I don't know. Photos.

00:55:14

Call Verizon. She could do it. She's the FBI.

00:55:16

Okay. Our fifth and final story, which was some more book, knows as Jessie Draper has announced that she is writing a memoir.

00:55:21

Yes. This is our third memoir from the Real Secret Lives of Morgan Wives. We had Macy, now Laila, Man of the House.

00:55:27

And now Jessie Draper, Cutting Ties.

00:55:31

It's a good name, by the way.

00:55:32

Very good.

00:55:34

I am very interested in her pre-Secret Lives life. I think she had a very... Sorry. Her and Jordan.

00:55:40

No, she also had another marriage before Jordan. She built up Jay Zee styles before before she was on the show. I think there are a couple of years of interest there.

00:55:48

Yes. And she gets... I don't know if I was seeing a snarky TikTok, but I think that there was drama with her first husband because she got pregnant. And then the streets were saying that baby was actually Jordan's, which worked out because she ended up marrying Jordan. So I don't know, they were questioning the paternity of her children, which if that's tea-filled, good for a memoir, I would love to know.

00:56:06

Yeah. I think this sounds really good. I think she's also... I don't know if she's a couple of years older than the rest of the cast, but I think she just has more life lived and stories to tell, especially pre-Slamu. We've seen what's happened since she's been on the show. There seem to be a few key years before the show.

00:56:25

Yeah, we never got clarity on the show.

00:56:28

Where she had a first husband and it didn't end well. And then how did she end up with Jordan? And she built, she was already rich. Like, yeah, I'm sad.

00:56:36

That's where I think a lot of the animosity and the jealousy from the other women and men in the show is that she doesn't need the show. Her business is extremely successful. She had a nice house on season one, episode one. Nobody else did.

00:56:47

Yeah, but it's like, you think she doesn't need the show, but she's actually the only one who fucking behaves on the show. It's true. And narrates and is patient and- She shows up to everything. You know what I mean? It's actually she just has a really good work ethic. Yeah, right. She's a professional. Maybe because she has a business, she's just professional. Even when she came here, she's professional.

00:57:06

Yeah. Cutting Ties is a good name, too.

00:57:07

It is. Really great job.

00:57:08

It passes the Toast Memoir Board of Approval.

00:57:11

It does. It will come out next summer. So Swirly Memoir. Update.

00:57:15

Let's dive into Deer Toaster, our weekly advice segment, where every Thursday, you guys can write into us. You ever wanted to find out what we thought of your situation? Well, you have a chance now. Totally anonymous either way. Don't worry. Hey, Jackson Claude. Love you girls so much. Is my husband gay? A little over a year ago, the company my husband works for hired someone to split the workload because his company has grown so much.

00:57:41

They were, of course- Is he too gay to do his job?

00:57:44

They were, of course, just work colleagues. They then eventually realize how much they both enjoy football and playing fantasy football. And last fall, they spent every single day that a game was on watching it in my husband's man cave. I didn't think much of it last year, but something seems different this time. During Monday Night Football, I went downstairs to see if they wanted any dessert that I made, queen. And the door was locked. I was really confused and I knocked, but the door was never opened. The next day, I mentioned it and he shrugged it off by saying it was a huge game between the Bills and whoever. They were running and they didn't want to be interrupted and couldn't possibly hear me knocking because the game was so loud. They text each other constantly, speak on the phone every night, and obviously see each other at work. What do I do? Ask him, I really need your gay husband expertise.

00:58:22

Put a camera in there.

00:58:23

Well, I just want to say, I don't know a lot of people, personally. I don't have a lot of experience with somebody who turned out to be gay, but I feel like they wouldn't be doing it in such plain sight. You know what I mean? Coming over to my house where my wife is and texting and FaceTiming every night. It's not like he's calling in secret because you know about it. So the locking of the door is extremely suspicious. Doors don't need to be locked, really, ever.

00:58:47

No. Put a camera in there and let's get to the bottom of it.

00:58:51

Yeah, you do need to know.

00:58:53

For one game, just watch how they behave for one game and then take it out and you'll know.

00:58:58

I think that personal audit would also be appropriate here. Like, is your husband gay?

00:59:02

They also might have been doing drugs. And if you have kids, they might have locked the door for that. Like, they might have been smoking pot.

00:59:09

Well, you would have smelled the pot.

00:59:10

But having edibles.

00:59:12

That is a really good point. Like, what else could they have been doing that they would need the door locked?

00:59:15

Yeah. And I'm assuming that they have kids.

00:59:17

Gambling. Or no, maybe he's doing the drugs in secret.

00:59:21

So from the way- No, and it's like you don't want just a child stumbling into the room.

00:59:24

Of course. That's really interesting. What did you make for dessert? I'm just curious. Sounds good.

00:59:29

Yummy.

00:59:29

But You also... There are other reasons besides locking the door. Is he sexually active? There are things that you could probably surmise. Have you ever thought your husband was gay before this?

00:59:38

One baby monitor for one game and we'll have all the answers we need.

00:59:42

Throw the nan in there. Yeah. But also, is this the first time you've ever thought your husband was gay?

00:59:49

Yeah.

00:59:49

For the most part, gayness is not just a blimp on the radar.

00:59:52

It could be a late in life.

00:59:54

He could. Or very Taylor Strecker. It's not about the sexuality, it's not the person, where it's like he happens to have met his person at work. Sorry, lady.

01:00:00

They hired another him.

01:00:02

Little did they know.

01:00:04

A match.

01:00:04

Yeah. Nanit, personal audit.

01:00:07

Just one game. Keep an eye. That's fine.

01:00:12

You got to know these things, of course.

01:00:13

Yeah.

01:00:13

Save sex. You just got to know. Next up. Hey, Swirlies. I need your help. I just started seeing a new therapist, and after my first session, I found out that we have some mutual friends, and we're invited to the same birthday party for a close friend. In our first session, I was really vulnerable. I shared a lot, and I felt a really good connection with her. I think she's so great, and I really don't want to start over and try to find someone new, but I also can't get over how awkward this is. Help. You have to go. Yeah. That's not an option. I wouldn't be worried that anything you shared with her is now compromised just because you know the same people. Then you can trust that the one session you guys did, we'll stay with her forever. Don't worry.

01:00:45

But- How do you feel about having a therapist your own age?

01:00:49

I think some people like it, some people don't. I wouldn't. Not that I have extensive therapy experience, but I imagine I would look for someone who's wiser and older, who has lived and But I guess some people want some people who are late. Who are late or wouldn't judge if you're having threesums or whatever. I can imagine it's attractive to some people. You obviously cannot continue with the therapist. That's just wrong and weird. I think she should and probably would recuse herself. Does she know you're going to the same birthday party?

01:01:18

Yeah. No, if they discovered they had mutual friends, then that was a two-way discovery.

01:01:23

She said, I found out that we had mutual friends. I don't know if the lady knows yet.

01:01:26

Oh.

01:01:27

So maybe just let her find out and she'll take care of it for you.

01:01:29

Maybe someone else had the practice and she could pass over your file. You don't have to go through it all again.

01:01:33

It's also just one session. I think the first session of therapy is a huge dump. You just going to have to do it again. Absolutely not.

01:01:40

They hear so much of your stuff was probably not even that crazy.

01:01:43

I know. It's like everybody thinks their story is so interesting, but you don't know the guy next door. You're fine. You're totally fine. But absolutely not. In no world is this okay. All right, third and final.

01:01:51

She sounds like she could be a good friend for you. Yes. If you're friends, you're the same age, you go to the same parties. Maybe she could just be your friend for free.

01:01:59

Yeah, maybe that's why you Like, connected. Like, because she's a friend. A thousand percent. A thousand percent.

01:02:06

Who needs therapy when you got great friends?

01:02:08

Good friends. I love that. Hey, Swerlies. I stumbled upon a really interesting situation. I was listing a piece of furniture for sale on Facebook marketplace, and I noticed one of my neighbors recently posted something for sale as well. I clicked on the listing because I'm nosy, and I then clicked on the seller profile to see what else they have for sale. I noticed that all of their listed items are pieces of furniture from our neighborhood clubhouse. The listing photos were literally taken inside the clubhouse. I find this so bizarre. This individual was previously on the HOA board. Last year, he posted in the neighborhood group telling everyone that the HOA did not have enough funds for Christmas lights and asked for donations. To be Venmoed to his personal Venmo to pay for the lights. Obviously, people were like, what the fuck- Did the lights go up? People were like, what the fuck? And the post was removed after a day, never to be talked about again. So I'm assuming no. They magically found the funds for the Christmas lights. So here's my question. Should I do or say something? I thought I might casually liking one of the listings so that he can see that somebody saw it or even messaging and being like, L-O-L, are we selling the clubhouse furniture?

01:03:05

And make a joke of it. Do I go full Karen? Email the management company on board. I'm not one to typically get involved. I like to watch a drama from a distance, but this seems really fucking weird. What should I do?

01:03:13

So I think that there's a world in which this is totally normal. If he is head of the HOA and say they're revamping the clubhouse- Perhaps the HOA is selling the furniture. Somebody has to use their Facebook profile to sell the furniture.

01:03:23

This could be nefarious, but this could be one of an episode of That's So Raven where it's a lot of suspicious things, and then they all explained away.

01:03:30

Yeah. Maybe he was trying to get lights for the neighborhood and use his personal Venmo because- He didn't know that was inappropriate. The HOA doesn't have a Venmo, and if he's the one doing the transaction, he could be stealing. Yeah, but I would have been curious to see if the lights went up. Also, I would talk to someone else on the HOA and just be like, Are we redoing the clubhouse? And then they would either be like, Oh, yeah, we're getting some new furniture. Or, No, what are you talking about? And you'd be like, Wait, he's selling the furniture.

01:03:53

Yeah. Don't automatically assume that he's innocent because it's entirely possible that he's... That he's guilty. It's entirely possible that this is innocent. And he's doing all work on behalf... He's like an older gentleman using Facebook.

01:04:02

No, and he's using his personal time and energy to do this stuff for the community. You sound like an ingrate.

01:04:07

Or he's stealing selling furniture like, Yada, yada, yada.

01:04:10

I don't think he's just selling off furniture and then not going to have an explanation for it.

01:04:15

Photographing it in the clubhouse? But older people might not know. Yeah, they might do something that's stupid. Because you think if you're trying to be like, club, you would take a photo and have AI put it in someone's backyard for the listing photo.

01:04:28

But if he's an older gentleman- I think he's acting innocently.

01:04:30

I think he is, too. And he obviously posted that Venmo thing, and then people were like, You can't do this. And he just deleted it because he was like, Oh, my bad.

01:04:39

Because he got in trouble because he might be able to feel bad. Meanwhile, he's just trying to beautify your neighborhood.

01:04:42

Yeah, just ask around. Don't launch a formal I ain't yet. Ask around.

01:04:47

Ask another HOA member. Like, Are we redoing the clubhouse? Ask a couple. See what they say.

01:04:52

There are ways to find out about this.

01:04:53

I actually think he's innocent.

01:04:54

He sounds like a really hardworking HOI member. I just want to say being the president of an HOI or something like that.

01:04:58

Fucking thankless job. And you have people who just assume the worst in you.

01:05:02

Truly thankless job. And everyone ends up hating you because the nature of the job is you have to tell people no, or you have to run a tight chip, or tight budgets or whatever. I would never run for one of those positions in my building. Like, literally never.

01:05:16

They're just going to accuse you for that. They're going to lock you up.

01:05:18

Yeah, a thousand percent. And you really can't do a good job of it. You know?

01:05:24

Yeah.

01:05:25

You could try your hardest, but people are just...

01:05:26

The job is good when nobody notices you, and then you get no things. When things are running smoothly, that means you did a good job.

01:05:33

It's true.

01:05:33

Nobody goes to say, Hey, thanks.

01:05:35

No, you only ever interact with the HOA when you're getting in trouble. Like, Oh, your grass needs to be cut, or your bushes need to be moved, or whatever. No one's having positive interactions with the HOA. It's not like the HOA calls and says, Your house looks great. It's always like when you're in trouble or you're getting a fine for something, right? It's a thankless job, and I just feel like you might be seeing the worst in him, or he's a total thief.

01:05:57

I don't think so.

01:05:57

Acting in plain sight.

01:05:59

I don't think so. But you're going to find out. Let us know.

01:06:03

Yeah, just start. Start seeking around. But don't get a reputation for being an ungrateful homeowner. Nobody wants to be that.

01:06:10

We'll put a lean on your house.

01:06:11

A thousand percent. And then once the HOA, once the head of the HOA. Like, is your op.

01:06:16

Has designated you.

01:06:17

Can and will make your life hell. A lot of times, they look the other way. It's not such a big deal. No, he'll be sending you notices because you're the girl who tried to get him fired and arrested. Or he's a thief and a criminal. We're not sure.

01:06:31

I don't think so.

01:06:32

I would give him the benefit of the doubt, too. Yeah. Well, that's your to us. Thank you to everybody who wrote in. And thank you to the DTQ for your patience. And thank you to everybody for listening.

01:06:41

This felt really cut and dry. I feel good about those.

01:06:44

It's nice. Sometimes we're really put in the middle of a moral dilemma. And sometimes it's just right from wrong. What was the first one? The Man Cave gay.

01:06:52

Second one?

01:06:53

Therapist.

01:06:54

Cut and dry.

01:06:55
