Good morning, girlies. It's The Toast. It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know.

00:00:18

We'll start your day off swirly.

00:00:21

It's The Toast. I sound amazing.

00:00:25

Welcome back to The Toast and happy Thursday. It's the latter half of the week. Be grateful, you know.

00:00:31

I am grateful. We are also simpatico. I don't know if you noticed. Yeah, pink sweaters, creamy pants, creamy white pants with a light shoe to match.

00:00:42

Yeah, so except my, my shoes are not made the old way and sold the new way. I know yours are.

00:00:48

No, these are not M. Gemi. Oh, these are a brand called Margot. Have you heard of it?

00:00:54

No, tell me more.

00:00:56

It's a very fine shoe.

00:00:59

Okay, um, I have so much I want to talk to you about.

00:01:03

We have a lot to discuss today.

00:01:04

We do?

00:01:05

Yeah, because Kylie was on Jake Shane and I stayed up. Literally, I thought it came out at noon PM. I don't know why, I just like assumed that. And then I was playing Maj, so I was like, oh my gosh, I missed it. And then at night I'm like, you know, I'm gonna watch it on Netflix. I got in bed at like 9:45, I turned it on, it didn't come out yet. It came out at 7:00 PM Pacific time, 10:00 PM Eastern time. So I sat there for 15 minutes, didn't let myself get distracted.

00:01:31

Oh, that's really crazy of you to have waited up.

00:01:33

And I was first click. Yeah.

00:01:35

First. Oh, wow.

00:01:36

If I could comment, I would've commented first.

00:01:38

Yeah. Right, right, right. Oh, I didn't know that. Like, it was that type of affair that we were like waiting up till 10:00 PM to watch. I haven't watched it. I'm like, I'm shocked that you stayed up.

00:01:49

Yeah. No, I could stay up till 10 to watch something. I've been looking forward to it all day and I know that if I didn't watch it, like when it comes out, that I— and I started to see clips of it and everything, I would have like felt like I already watched it and I wanted to have like the full experience.

00:02:03

Oh, I guess, I guess that makes sense. I watched The Real Housewives of Rhode Island last night, which like people have been begging me to do, and I'm so glad that I did. Like, I had watched the first episode, I thought it was good, but it's like hard to get into like a whole new place, all these new people, they all look the same. Yeah, like it's just, it's so— it's honestly so much work. Try being an influencer for a day, try it. But I— Ben was out last night, so I watched like 3 more episodes.

00:02:25

It's getting like insane reviews. Like everyone's saying like sort of like Slomo where it's like, this is the greatest reality TV. Like reality TV is back. And so I understand why you watch it and I'll probably watch it too. I do have, I am catching some flights this weekend, so I might try and watch it on my plane rides.

00:02:42

So I watched, I think the first 4 episodes and I don't wanna like give my— I don't want people to spoil it for me in the comments cuz I feel like something really crazy happens. Um, it's really good. And the only thing is that like Ashley Iaconetti is so out of place on this show. Not only like she's a part of like the younger— there's like an older group and a younger group, and she's a part of the younger group, but she has like no ties to this group, no ties to Rhode Island. She's like sharing her personal story, and like while I'm sorry that you're having a hard time, like I really don't see how it's relevant to the show. Like she's supposed to be bringing like the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives energy, like young mom talking about like balancing it all, her husband like is trying to earn a living, not because they need the money, but just to like make himself feel good.

00:03:19

Feel like a man.

00:03:21

And I don't know if the point of the show is to make me hate Jared Haibon, but I do.

00:03:26

Jared hates—

00:03:26

like him and his—

00:03:27

you hate Jared, you hate Ashley I.

00:03:29

I don't hate Ashley I. I feel bad for Ashley I. It's like she's home alone all day with the kids and she's the one earning the living, but like it just doesn't take as much time out of the day as his does. And so it's like, but so they're, they're like fine for money.

00:03:41

Yeah.

00:03:41

It's not about money. It's about purpose, which I understand. Yeah. But like if your purpose is leaving your home your wife at home all day while your wife also pays the bills? Like, yeah, it's actually— it's jarring. Like, it's very startling. Um, I hate him.

00:03:58

Yikes.

00:03:59

Yeah, yeah, I actually did not see that for myself. And I just think that, like, their storyline and their contributions thus far— again, I'm only on the 4th episode— I don't see how it's relevant. All these people, like, they went to middle school together. Like, Alicia's telling a story, and he used to be married to to my Spanish teacher. Like, it's so interconnected. And that's what's actually really great. Like, you know, those people didn't like show up to film together. Like, they've known each other for years.

00:04:21

And they don't care if they hurt each other's feelings. Like, it doesn't matter.

00:04:24

My mother's friends with her sister. Like, it's so connected. And Ashley I just feels like a really random addition. And they did this game where it's like, you know, you pick a question outta the box and the question of the box— Truth box.

00:04:34

Truth box.

00:04:35

Yes. The question is like, you know, uh, everyone has skeletons. You know, you had an affair, your, your boyfriend has another girlfriend. And Ashley's was, when did you lose your virginity? Which I guess like in The Bachelor days, like she was one of the virgins, which was crazy at the time. But like in reality TV, like we don't care that you lost your virginity at 29. Like that's not even crazy. It's like, it's not crazy, but I'm saying like that was her thing. The other ones was like pictures of your husband and his mistress.

00:05:02

That she's still like riding that, that that's her like really big central trauma. I saw a clip of her, I don't know if it's part of what you've already seen yet or not, but it's not a spoiler. And she's like, breaks down crying because she's like talking about how everybody else has like these really like terrible traumatic things that have happened, and like she doesn't have anything like that, and like it makes her so scared for like whenever that does happen.

00:05:23

Like, like, no, I haven't seen that. That's what I mean, like her, like seriously, her contributions feel so bizarre and random on the show. And there is like this younger crew, Rosie and Kelsey, and they got crazy shit going on. Like Rosie like is like was waiting for the call from Andy Cohen and she got it and she's not giving— like she's— she will not be kicked off the show. Like if there's a stone to turn, she will turn it. And then Kelsey, obviously she's the polygamist, she's wildly interesting. Yeah, so she's just like— she's like not inherently interesting, like her life is just like very normal.

00:05:55

Yeah, which is nice. I feel like they were probably trying to court like The Bachelor viewers by bringing in a name like that, and it is interesting But it's not—

00:06:03

to a point.

00:06:04

Yeah, but if it doesn't actually work on the show, it doesn't work on the show.

00:06:08

So I need to get all caught up on that. But my contemplate— like, I'm feeling so overwhelmed last night. Like, Ben was gone having dinner with his mom, so I was like, okay, I can either read Stranger Spellburden, mm-hmm, or start Rhode Island, because that's— and everyone's been asking me to do. So I did start that, but I realized now my book plate is kind of growing because I realized— I think maybe you were talking about this when you were like, whose book did I say I wanted to read? Is it Hayden Panettiere?

00:06:29

It's not, but I do want to read it.

00:06:31

I'm going to actually add it to my Goodreads before I forget. She went on Jay Shetty, and you know, I forgot— she— there's so many eras of Hayden Panettiere. She was talking about Nashville. For me, like, she will always be Raising Helen, Bring It On. Um, but she was also like one of the global faces for like a decade of Neutrogena. And she was telling the story on Jay Shetty podcast that when she went on Live with Kelly and Ryan, or whatever it was back then— Kelly, Kelly. Maybe it might have been Regis and Kelly, I forget. She like was talking about— she's one of the most vocal celebrities who talks about postpartum depression because she had like a really severe case of it. And she had literally been with the brand for 10 years and they fired her because of that.

00:07:07

And I heard they're getting dragged, as they motherfucking should.

00:07:11

And like, you know what, your wipes are trash too.

00:07:12

Yeah, I use Rael now. I just want to say I use Rael every night and I bought new wipes and I haven't even opened them.

00:07:20

Okay, like It's kind of like the Ben Platt effect. Like, Neutrogena, you're wrong for that, but I do still love your wipes because I eat them this morning.

00:07:26

No, no, I just— I happen to be like an M'raal bomb. Just wait till I have to wash my face at the sink where I was going in the garbage. Yeah, yeah. And like, I'm sure the people who worked there then like don't work there now, but like, of course they need to give her $100 million to make it right. Then commercials, give her $10 million and we'll call it even.

00:07:45

I feel like her book is probably like $8,000. 1,000 pages. Like, she has so many. Even if she was just like a successful child star, that's an interesting book. Her postpartum depression journey, very— lots to discuss there. It's probably an anthology.

00:07:59

Yeah, it hasn't come out yet. I just added it to my Goodreads.

00:08:02

Oh, it hasn't come out. So Strangers, Bellbird, and Lena Dunham. Like, I have a lot of books to read.

00:08:06

Yeah, yeah. So like I said, I, I don't think you're going to be reading Strangers, Bellbird.

00:08:11

I am. It's going to be my first one.

00:08:13

Oh, it's going to be your first one?

00:08:15

Yes.

00:08:17

And now it's like, what if you don't even like it? Which—

00:08:19

what's not to like?

00:08:21

I could see you not liking it.

00:08:22

It's short. I can't hate a short book. Like, thanks for being mindful of my time, Belle.

00:08:27

Yeah. Um, I think we should get into the stories because there's a lot to discuss today and we need to get— I just want to talk about Kylie and Jake Shane. Like, that's just top of mind for me. My queen. Great.

00:08:37

Okay, but like, let's not rush. I'm not done.

00:08:40

Okay, what else do you want to talk about?

00:08:42

Let me think, like, what happened to me last night? One of those foul dinners, like, it was so upsetting. I waited so long for it and it was just disgusting.

00:08:50

Oh, I like ordered last night, which, you know, I never do and I always regret when I do, and it was so good. Ugh. And then I was just like, I was full, but like from garbage. Ugh, yuck.

00:09:01

Oh, I'm actually doing something major today. I'm taking— I'm literally taking control of my life.

00:09:05

I'm doing something major today and taking control of my life as well. What are you doing?

00:09:09

I'm finally going to the doctor for my thumb. You guys know I haven't had good like mobility in my left thumb for about 3 years.

00:09:15

Oh my God, speaking of like random fake ailments—

00:09:19

oh my fucking God, what does Kylie have, coccydynia?

00:09:21

Kylie is talking about her pregnancy like ailments, and she had really bad sciatica in her second pregnancy, and she said her back has not been the same since she was pregnant with Air. She was talking about how she had lower back pain and sciatica. I'm like, my sciatica queen. She, she was actually— we'll talk about it in the stories, but she was talking a lot about her pregnancies, which I was glad for because I do feel like when you go on a man's podcast, you don't talk about women's issues, like, because why would you? But for some reason, they like stumble down the rabbit hole of like how she fared in both of her pregnancies, what she weighed at the top of each of her pregnancies.

00:09:52

Women, women love to go on Jake Shane's podcast and talk about how much weight they gained and how much they weighed. Sofia Richie also telling everyone what she weighed on Jake Shane's podcast. I love that. I do need Kylie to go on like a women's podcast, like, to talk about all this stuff, like maybe SheMD. You know that one?

00:10:05

So many follow-up questions that I was like, Huh, huh. And I like, you know, and I feel that way. I, I guess like people must feel that way when they listen to podcasts in general. I don't always listen, but whenever I do, that's my feeling. It's like, wait, what about that? That? But it's like someone else's conversation. They didn't wanna go down that rabbit hole. Mm-hmm.

00:10:21

So all's that to say, I'm really looking forward to having mobility back in my thumb. Although based on my research via ChatGPT, the issue that I have like needs to be fixed with hand surgery.

00:10:31

Well, let's see. Let's see.

00:10:33

Yeah. But wouldn't that be crazy? I've never had surgery, ever.

00:10:37

You're not getting it. Like, if you have to have surgery, you're not going to get it. You're not.

00:10:40

But I just never use my thumb.

00:10:42

Yeah, you're doing fine. Look at you.

00:10:43

I'm actually not.

00:10:45

Look at you.

00:10:46

You know, I dropped Levi once. I don't know if I've ever told Olivia that, but I dropped Levi when he was like little. I was trying to be helpful and like my thumb gave out. I caught him. I just want to say I caught him like within an inch of the floor. But like, that's when I knew my thumb was a really big problem. We were in the Hamptons. It was like 2 summers ago. Sorry, Olivia.

00:11:05

But you've been fine with Ruby?

00:11:08

You know, sometimes, you know, the thumb gets in the way. Yes, I've been fine technically, but when I have to wait for something to happen— I'm telling you, not having mobility in my left thumb plus the coccidodynia, I live a very difficult life.

00:11:18

Well, let's see what the doctor says. I'm not going to make a decision before, like, you even get—

00:11:23

well, because, you know, like, before I got pregnant, I was like, you know what, let me fix this before I become a mother. Like, I'm going to need my left thumb. I I went, I got an X-ray, and they were like, there's nothing wrong with your hand. I'm like, are you sure? And they were like, it's probably a nerve issue, and nerves don't come up in X-rays. So now I got to get this thing called an EMG, and it's just such a fucking pain in the ass. I just need to get the— and I just know I'm going to go to the doctor today and they're going to be like, well, you have to come back for your EMG, like schedule it. And it's like, why am I fucking here?

00:11:47

Well, that 1,000%, that's what's going to happen today.

00:11:50

So fucking annoying. I know.

00:11:51

Well, speaking of mobility, I'm looking forward to a lack of mobility in my forehead because I'm getting Botox today.

00:11:58

Are you going to the place that I went to?

00:11:59

I did. For the first time in over 2 years, I'm getting Botox. I can't friggin wait.

00:12:06

I can't wait to be like so confused by you, by how I'm feeling. Yeah.

00:12:10

Is she happy? Is she sad? Is she mad? Is the sun in her eyes? We don't know.

00:12:14

Ugh, I saw this like actually misogynistic reel about like moms getting Botox being like, we're teaching our children, like we're not teaching them how to emote. It's like, girl, fuck off.

00:12:23

Seriously, shut up. Like, also, personally, even though I think like that's a horrible argument, like, please, we know how to emote. Like, you can emote on the inside. I also— there's also like other parts of your face that can move because I only do my forehead, so they'll be able to see for my crow's feet and all the other wrinkles mommy has going on.

00:12:44

Yeah, actually, sorry, the only thing I can't show is sadness, and that's not the type of energy I'm bringing to motherhood anyways.

00:12:49

And actually, the energy that the Botox takes out for me is like RBF. And it's like, it's this constant RBF when I'm not even mad. Zach will be like, what's wrong? And I'm like, this is the best day ever, what are you talking about? Right.

00:13:01

So sorry that like we're just removing the fabitsna element from—

00:13:04

yeah, they're going to see a happy mommy all the time.

00:13:07

Good.

00:13:08

As they should.

00:13:09

I'm excited for you.

00:13:11

I'm so excited. So we both have big things on the horizon.

00:13:16

Lots of mobility coming into question.

00:13:18

Yeah, to mobilize or not to mobilize, also known as mobilize. Realize, mobilize.

00:13:27

That's so Kylie.

00:13:29

That's so—

00:13:30

did Jake ask her about that, uh, the realizing stuff?

00:13:34

No, surprisingly, because he really went into the archives. Like, no, not—

00:13:38

I love that.

00:13:39

We did not go deep.

00:13:40

No, no, sorry, I don't mean— I mean deep into history.

00:13:42

We went back.

00:13:43

I love that.

00:13:44

Yeah, like all a lot of different eras. The mall appearances, Keek. He didn't know that they were paid to be on Keek, but I also—

00:13:52

I mean, Kik.

00:13:53

K-I-K. Yeah, they were calling it Keek.

00:13:56

They were. Am I wrong? Maybe there's two.

00:13:59

One was the one the Kardashians were paid to be on, and the other was like an actual app that people were using.

00:14:05

Oh, okay. It was— I think it was probably K-I-K and then K-E-K. Well, No, I feel like the Kardashian ones was like—

00:14:10

I forget what it was called, but in the, in the captions, because I watched it with captions, it was K-E-E-K. But they had a lot of typos in their captions. It's fine.

00:14:16

Okay, okay.

00:14:18

They talked about that he didn't know that the Kardashians had been paid to be on that app, which I felt like, you know, a lot of people did. But he also was in high school when she dropped To Our Daughter.

00:14:30

How old is he? I thought we were like around the same age. No, we were at the Super Bowl. We were at the Super Bowl.

00:14:36

When we found out, when she dropped to our daughter.

00:14:38

Really? I remember being like the back of a cab to the Super Bowl. You know something weird? I took an Uber to work this morning. Yeah, that's right, I was lazy. And he was like, can you put your seat belts on? And I was like, yeah, sure. But it's just like, it's weird because I would never get into a car, like a personal vehicle, or like if Ben's driving my own car, I would never get it without a seat belt. It doesn't even occur to me. I don't even think there are seat belts in New York City cabs. But he was like, can you put your seat belts on? I was like, oh yeah, for sure. And I just felt like so constricted. I felt like I was being kidnapped. It was so weird.

00:15:06

It is weird, and it's yuck too to put on a seatbelt, to touch it.

00:15:10

Oh, I didn't think about that.

00:15:12

I feel that. I don't want to touch anything.

00:15:14

You really can't drive that fast in the city, so like, I just feel like it's really not a hazard. Yeah, although you should always wear your seatbelt, of course. I just felt like it was so crazy. I felt like I was getting in trouble. He was like, put your seatbelt on. I was like, oh yeah, for sure, but he's right. Oh, I feel sick.

00:15:29

Why?

00:15:30

I feel sick, and I actually blame you.

00:15:33

Okay.

00:15:33

Because I feel like you've ushered me through this beautiful season of motherhood quite perfectly. I have quite actually no notes for you, but you did not tell me—

00:15:41

but thank you so much. Let's end the show. That's really beautiful. Thank you so much for listening to the toast.

00:15:49

Um, but one thing you just sort of failed to mention, like something I should be looking out for in a milestone that I missed was Hebrew birthdays. Oh, today's the 27th of Iyar, and I didn't know Ruby's Hebrew birthday is the 21st of Iyar. Like, I didn't celebrate a Hebrew birthday.

00:16:04

It's so confusing because also so often, and last year too, the Hebrew birthdays were after the secular birthday. So yeah, no, that's not something that I've, um, that I'm up on.

00:16:16

Well, I feel sick and I blame you, so okay, I'll take that.

00:16:20

And It makes me feel better that it wasn't like so close to remembering to remind you, because that's more frustrating than like, than, oh, I didn't even know that that was happening. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, that's true. So sorry for the thing I had no clue about.

00:16:33

That's okay.

00:16:34

But happy Yom Huledet belated, Reuben.

00:16:38

Yom Huledet Sameach.

00:16:40

Now, without further ado, because we both have to make it to our mobility appointments.

00:16:46

Yeah, we do, even though months later I'm good.

00:22:59

You're welcome.

00:23:00

Okay, now our first story. Okay, Kylie Jenner on Therapuss. She reveals that she was on bed rest during her preg— her second pregnancy with Air. She said he was, uh, falling out. She said that she was like 2 to 3 centimeters dilated for the last—

00:23:14

sounds like cerclage.

00:23:15

It does sound— it sounded like me— for the last 2 months of her pregnancy, so she really couldn't leave the house. Um, she also shared that she had really bad sciatica, lower back pain, and she gained 65 pounds in her pregnancy. She said when she gave birth to Stormi, she weighed 200 pounds, and when she gave birth to Aire, she weighed 210 pounds.

00:23:35

I just like don't believe that.

00:23:37

No, I believe it because I— she's not a liar. No, I know, but like, just visually, visually, it's the most inspiring thing I've ever heard.

00:23:45

I just love this. I, I love this.

00:23:48

Yeah, it was really exciting when they started to talk about this.

00:23:52

Um, I wouldn't expect that to be like conversation fodder.

00:23:54

Yeah, I was surprised that like he was interested in these things. But then of course, like when he heard like all the weight gain, he was like, oh my God, what were you eating? And it was like, what were— like, of course, like, what were you eating?

00:24:03

Whose business is that?

00:24:03

Like, like, no, no, no. And it's like, like, you don't even have to eat a lot to get to that size. Like, you're telling me? Like, you just eat normal and all of a sudden you're 200 pounds.

00:24:12

You're literally—

00:24:14

um, but she was also talking about keeping her first pregnancy very private and like why she did it, which we know, like, she didn't want outside influences, she wanted her privacy. But she also—

00:24:24

and I also feel like at that time she had such a complicated relationship with her level of fame, and she was 19, right? I feel like now she's much more settled and like leans into it, but it happened so quickly for her. She was like this, like, irrelevant sister, and then she was the most famous and the richest one. And so I feel like, like, she's sort of healed. Obviously growing up like heals a portion of that, but I feel like she doesn't feel that way anymore about fame.

00:24:47

I actually think, you know, it all worked out, whatever, but she did express what seemed to be a little bit of regret for doing it that way.

00:24:54

Really?

00:24:54

Yeah. Um, I think it was like very hard on her to be so private and to be so interesting about— and isolated. And she said when we posted the video, she cried for 3 hours afterwards, like just of the weight like being lifted off of her chest. And like, oh my God, I realize that maybe she didn't have to do it that way.

00:25:12

Um, oh, that's really sad.

00:25:14

Yeah, it is really sad because I understand completely like why at the time it felt like the only way to do it. And she was also talking about how she didn't have security till she had Stormi because she just wanted to like live a normal life, like be out in the world on her own driving herself. But like paparazzi used to follow her everywhere and like say the nastiest things to her. And she was like so young, like in her car, and there's like 6 guys around her telling her she's a slut. And it's like, how do you pull out your car? Like, it's just like scary.

00:25:36

Yeah.

00:25:37

Um, so she was talking like a lot about that time. She— Jake was like— and I— he was like, can I ask this? Like, were you like freaking out when you found out that you were pregnant?

00:25:47

Like, right, because it was like a teen pregnancy.

00:25:49

Yeah. And she was like Yes. But I am, I knew like instinctively that this was what I wanted to do.

00:25:57

Yeah.

00:25:57

And I was going to do this whether I had to do it by myself or like whatever. Like, right.

00:26:01

I did. She talk about Travis?

00:26:02

She did not talk about him.

00:26:04

She mentioned, I wonder what their co-parenting relationship is like. Like, does Stormi Lou like spend the night at Travis's? I never, like, he's never around. And you know, the Kardashians, they love to keep like former boyfriends and we don't know that he's never around though.

00:26:15

We don't know that.

00:26:16

No, no, no. I just like never see him on the show.

00:26:18

Yeah.

00:26:18

Kris is ever wishing him a happy birthday, you know? No, she doesn't. I feel like she doesn't.

00:26:22

Um, she did not mention Travis. She did not mention Timothy except one time. She said that she's in a relationship because she was being asked about like how she like her hobbies and stuff, and she was like, you know, I only have so much time. Like, I'm working so much, and then I'm with my kids, and then I'm in a relationship, and I have my friends and my family, and like there's only so much time for all of that. So like, that was—

00:26:45

I'm sure that that was like a no-go for of course, for Jake, because I felt like so many things are a no-go. But it's like, don't go on a podcast.

00:26:54

No, no, that's not what I was gonna say. Go on a podcast. Like, why do we have to know about every facet of your life? Like, we don't— we— like, of course I want to know. Like, please tell us about Timothy. But like, why can't you just also not, you know? Which is what she's doing. And I would rather her go on a podcast and have all of these guardrails than not go on at all, have nothing, you know? Yeah.

00:27:17

No, and I think she's at a place where like she will only go on something that like will respect her boundaries. And like maybe for a while she thought she like couldn't do stuff like that if she wasn't gonna be open.

00:27:27

Yeah. And I feel like you can do a little bit and go on like safe places like Khloé and I guess Kid Cudi where you can open up a little bit about the things that you wanna talk about. And it's okay if you don't wanna talk about other stuff. It's a bummer for me. Like all I wanna hear about the funniest part that was so unintentionally funny. They do this segment at the end. Where they do like Dear Toasters where people like write in and she's giving advice and like—

00:27:52

Like she was giving a prescription. I think you forget I was also on Therapists.

00:27:55

Oh, you were?

00:27:57

You were? Oh my God, have you not seen my episode? It's some of my best work.

00:27:59

Oh my God, no, I haven't, but now I have to. Okay, so—

00:28:01

Okay, there are certain moments when like I was like, I know that this is iconic, like I need to be— and I was up, and by the way, I was 1 fucking pound. It was the same weekend I ran the 5K. It was a busy weekend.

00:28:11

I need to watch your episode because this was the first episode of Therapists that I watched, so I also was just experiencing like a new podcast, a new format. It's also so funny to me to like watch someone like reading their ads. I don't know why, it like feels like watching you get yelled at by your parents.

00:28:25

Like, wait, but she wasn't there. Kylie—

00:28:26

no, no, no, it was just like funny.

00:28:29

Who were the sponsors?

00:28:30

SeatGeek. He's going to a Lorde concert that he was very excited about. Yes, Venmo. He loves his Venmo credit card.

00:28:36

He's a big Venmo partner.

00:28:38

I think those were the only two. I think it was just like— yeah, um, And then, and it's just funny to like watch a podcast. And so, oh, this was the thing, the advice segment. There were, there were a bunch of different questions about like, how do I find my personal style? Like, it's just like random questions that were benign. But then there was one that was like, I'm so scared to like put myself out there in relationships, of like fear of rejection, like I just have no confidence, and like blah blah blah. And like Jake was like, oh my God, this is me, like I'm so scared of rejection, like I can't. And Kylie literally did not say one thing. She did not offer—

00:29:09

she could not relate.

00:29:10

She did not offer one piece She goes like, what's the next one?

00:29:15

Ted. That's such a slang.

00:29:18

It was really, really funny. It was also just really cute because he was like so nervous and like he couldn't stop telling her how nervous he was. And she was like, oh, you're doing amazing. And she's really a big fan of his. She was just like, you are the cutest person on the internet. Like, I love your thirst traps. I love your podcast. I also—

00:29:34

oh my God. I would— that's like, that's insane.

00:29:36

It was insane. She was so sweet to him and he was like, you're so nice and like not into— like, you are intimidating because of who you are, but like you're so sweet and like, you know, like the popular girl who makes everyone feel special.

00:29:49

Oh, that's so cute. That's a good analogy.

00:29:53

And she was like, no, it's really genuine. She's like, I don't want to be intimidating. And like, I can't imagine what it's like for her to just like be her. Like, she's the biggest person in the world amongst like Taylor Swift, but she's just like a girl, you know? Taylor Swift is like singing and on stage. And like, Kylie just—

00:30:09

it is like this like prolific historic songwriter.

00:30:12

Kylie's like literally just a person, and she's just like famous for being a person and being herself. And it's just like, it was, it was very like humanizing. It was very cute. There were a lot of like cute bits that, you know, um, they were talking about how much they love a cigarette. There, those two are— oh, she's inviting him over and cooking for him.

00:30:28

Kylie likes a cigarette.

00:30:29

Kylie loves a cigarette. They're, they had— they were having one after they finished recording.

00:30:34

I'm cracking up.

00:30:36

They drank red wine. They're both gonna have a Euro summer, of course, with cigarettes. But no, she invited him multiple times to come to her house, and she wants to make him fried chicken, candied sweet potatoes, and green bean casserole, like, to prove to him that he could like Thanksgiving food. By the way, I'm cracking up. At this point, you don't have to watch because I'm literally telling you. But I will say, the interview started and I got a little nervous because they started talking about video games. 'cause she said like she just got a Switch. He was like, oh my God, I was thinking about getting a Switch. What do you play? And so she's talking about how she plays a game called Zelda, and he was like, what's that? And she starts to say—

00:31:08

oh, I've heard of Zelda.

00:31:09

She starts describing this video game, and I'm like, no, no, I'm not—

00:31:14

this is not what I thought.

00:31:15

I got like nervous for him, 'cause I'm like, wait, this sucks. Like, like, and if I were him, I would have been stressing like, oh my God, Kylie Jenner's here and I have her describing a video game, like pivot.

00:31:26

Yeah, right, right, right. But it was just like, it was just—

00:31:28

cutie was just like giving her space to talk about the things that she like likes.

00:31:32

I can't believe Kylie's doing podcasts. Like, I just want to put it out there, like, I need her to come on the toast. I have so much to talk to her about, like being a Nick's widow. We live the same life, me and Kylie, being teen moms.

00:31:42

And then she was saying that she like likes podcasts and she's been enjoying doing podcasts, and I just like wish he asked like, what do you listen to? I just wish.

00:31:50

I know, I just— I'm scared. Kylie, she's just everything.

00:31:55

She was so everything. And she doesn't even have to do the most. She's just like talking herself, sharing little anecdotes. There were a lot of anecdotes that like we've heard before, um, like a lot of things, you know, King Kylie era stuff, which I've like personally moved on from. Um, but it— but you know, as long— once you get her like in the groove, like she's just like— she has so much rizz. It's off the charts. Like, when did that happen?

00:32:17

The rizz?

00:32:18

Yeah, the rizz and the hair and the body and the— and the smiling and the— and the hands.

00:32:22

Like, the hair She's literally the Rizzler.

00:32:24

She is the Rizzler. Like, she's just like the most beautiful woman in the world. Oh, and then she kept talking about how like she doesn't leave her house a lot, and he was like, why? And she was like, when I'm in LA and like I know I'm gonna leave the house, like I'm gonna get paparazzi, and like so I have to like put on an outfit and I just like can't like think of an outfit, or like I just don't want to like get dressed. Or like she was also talking about how sometimes she like can't find an outfit and like she'll take 40 minutes and then when that happens she's just like, forget it, I'm just wearing my favorite jeans and like a tank top or a t-shirt. But it's like, how is she not able to find an outfit? She has the most perfect body.

00:33:01

Unlimited— yeah, unlimited money, unlimited access, and a perfect body.

00:33:04

And, and there's—

00:33:05

if she can't do it, there's seriously no hope for the rest of us.

00:33:07

Personal style and confidence and charisma and swagger and probably a team of stylists.

00:33:13

Like everything fits her and the best— her pants aren't too long.

00:33:15

The best body in the world. So like, what is she put on that she says like, I'm not feeling this, I don't like how it— like, how is that just a girl?

00:33:22

She's just a girl.

00:33:23

I don't understand how that's possible. Like, what could she possibly put on her body that like didn't look good?

00:33:27

It definitely like makes me think like—

00:33:32

and the thing is, we—

00:33:33

I should never leave the house, cuz if she can't, right? Then what?

00:33:36

And we see so often her wearing just like jeans and—

00:33:39

jeans, but it looks so thoughtful.

00:33:41

No, so it's like she's having that experience like almost every time.

00:33:44

A bad day.

00:33:45

Yeah, almost every day. Especially when getting dressed for the Knicks game, she really doesn't know what to wear.

00:33:50

Yeah, even though like I feel like it's almost easier to get ready for the Knicks game because like you just need to wear like a Knicks jacket or like a shirt or a hat.

00:33:56

Yeah, yeah. Um, so I just, I was shocked by that because I'm like, if you can't get dressed, how can, how do any of us stand a chance?

00:34:04

Oh my gosh, I need Kylie to do more podcasts. Obviously like My First Choice is the toast, but just in general, loved. And I'm curious, yeah, I guess she's really only going on things that like She probably listens to Jake's podcast, like, things that she finds interesting.

00:34:17

Yeah, and I'm sure her friends have been on it, they had positive experiences, it's a safe place. She, like, can trust him to cut out, like, whatever, or not ask, whatever.

00:34:26

Yep.

00:34:26

Which, by the way, we do the same thing.

00:34:28

Yeah, Kylie, just so you know, we'll obviously respect every single one of your boundaries. We'll cut it if you need it, to cut it down to 30 seconds, like, whatever. We'll cut anything you want cut. If you decide that, like, you hated it and you don't want it to be released, we won't even release it.

00:34:39

Yeah, we would literally scrap the whole thing if you asked us to. Um, and that policy goes for everyone. Like, we don't ask questions that they don't want us to ask, and we cut out when people ask us to cut out.

00:34:49

Yeah.

00:34:50

So we are a safe place. Yeah, just saying. So yeah, I don't feel like you need to watch it now, but let me know if you do.

00:34:58

And I probably will.

00:34:59

Yeah, I'm sure you'll see clips.

00:35:01

I just didn't realize it was like imminent homework that we had to be doing.

00:35:04

I didn't feel an obligation, I felt a desire.

00:35:07

It's beautiful.

00:35:08

Yeah, no, I was like very much sat and excited, like my show was on, kids were down. Cup of pretzels.

00:35:18

Oh my God, I also had a cup of pretzels last night.

00:35:20

Sparkle water.

00:35:20

What kind of pretzels?

00:35:22

Pretzel crisps, the things.

00:35:24

Very good. But you know what I had that I think is supreme? Honey Twist.

00:35:29

Honey Twist, you love Honey Twist.

00:35:31

A Honey Twist pretzel is so Fucking good.

00:35:35

Yeah, yeah, I like a pretzel crisp.

00:35:38

And now in a red Solo cup.

00:35:40

Yeah, I do like to dip it sometimes, not mustard in the middle of the day, with mustard.

00:35:45

That's disgusting.

00:35:46

It's really not. Pretzels and mustard is like an old pastime.

00:35:49

It's a disgusting pastime.

00:35:51

No, it's, it's a classic. Sure, it's as classic as America.

00:35:56

Peanut butter and jelly.

00:35:58

Are you ready for our next story?

00:35:59

Yep.

00:36:00

Related to yesterday's speculation, Alex Earle's new Netflix show title revealed, and it's better than anything we thought of. It is called Earl Meets World.

00:36:12

It is. Now, I thought it was Earl Girls, but even though that is giving rural jerk, so upon reflection, I, I don't want that to be the title. Earl Meets World. It looks really good. They released this cute little trailer. We didn't get a release date yet, it just says like coming soon.

00:36:26

Yeah. And it's coming soon.

00:36:29

And did nobody else know that like her mom had a hot-ass boyfriend, which I'm glad for, but there was like this other guy besides the dad and I'm like, who is that? And then they saw him in, in a picture of Alex, her dad and the wife, Alex and her mom, and then the guy. So I just presumed that that's like the mom's boyfriend or her, or her husband. He's so hot. Mm-hmm. And I just love that for her. Like, I love that for her.

00:36:51

Love that for her. And I do feel like the title encapsulates the fact that all the Earls are meeting the world, and the world is meeting the Earls. It's not just about the girls or Alex. Um, I think it's just— it's a great title.

00:37:04

She's putting a lot of like her weight behind— obviously it's a big deal, it's a Netflix show, but like she's promoting it a lot, she's hyping it up a lot. Like, I'm sad, like my expectations are high.

00:37:12

Yeah, no, as she should. You get one shot at a family. One shot.

00:37:16

You put the whole Alex Cooper thing, we presume, on this Mhm.

00:37:21

Alex Cooper also spotted out, um, yeah, I was going to say it's not a story, but she was at the YouTube upfronts with her husband presenting a strong front, holding hands, not getting divorced, allegedly. And also announced people who are not getting divorced.

00:37:37

No, of course, of course, of course, I was kidding. Oh, um, they also announced new programming for Unwell YouTube shows.

00:37:43

Yeah, Unwell Summer Winter Games, uh, Thanksgiving Thrill, game.

00:37:49

Uh, yeah, I get the sense that like now this is where she's putting all of her eggs, like creating original reality shows. Like Unwell was doing a lot of things. I feel like for a while she was like wanting to become a big podcast network and that like didn't really work. So now they're doing this and I— and it's like all YouTube shows. And I get that YouTube is like getting their pussy in the game and like this is their way, but I just feel like who wants to watch a TV show on YouTube?

00:38:11

Not me.

00:38:13

Is it going to be on YouTube TV also? Like, yeah, I know she's sort of like pioneering this new format.

00:38:18

No, no, I would I would watch like the way I watch a YouTube video, but like, I— if there was a piece of programming that I wanted to watch, I would go and watch it on YouTube, sure. But like, unless Molly Mae is on Summer Games, I don't know I'm gonna do that.

00:38:32

Yeah. And again, it feels like we were talking the other day about this new genre of reality shows where we're taking people from multiple franchises and making them compete in some sort of thing. Um, this is just feels like a rituality retreat.

00:38:47

Yeah, yeah.

00:38:48

But not in a good way. Like, because Traitors is the Dancing with the Stars, like, that's the top tier. And some of these shows just sound dreadful.

00:38:59

These sound better than Reality Retreat. I will say, um, Reality Treat is the absolutely very last one. Lowest.

00:39:05

Yeah.

00:39:06

And I will say everybody else is sort of fighting it out right now. You know, we have the Reality Mafia show, like, we have Winner Games. It's up for the taking. I think it's a good format. Obviously people want to watch some of this stuff, so Everybody's throwing their hat in the ring, and let's see, the cream rises. The cream rises. And is it cream?

00:39:24

We'll find out. The YouTube show that she already had, which was just, um, Unwell Winter Games.

00:39:29

Oh, and then she also released like a, a docuseries for behind the Met Gala looks, and I wonder if that happened this year at the Met Gala.

00:39:40

Wait, what?

00:39:41

One of her things coming up is a Met Gala BTS docuseries.

00:39:48

With who?

00:39:49

With their YouTube Unwell.

00:39:52

No, but I'm saying, like, are they getting ready with people? Is it Fashion Police?

00:39:57

I don't know where I saw it now. I can't find it, but it's not—

00:40:01

I just want to say episode—

00:40:03

get it— probably getting ready with people behind the looks, etc. It's hosted by Alex. That's what I read.

00:40:09

Oh, that's interesting. Episode 4 of—

00:40:11

it's called Before the Steps.

00:40:15

Oh, okay. Episode 4 of, um, Winter Games, which I'm gathering there was only 4 episodes, okay, because it came out a month ago, um, had a million views.

00:40:27

Oh great.

00:40:28

Episode 3 had 1.7, Episode 2 had a million, and Episode 1 had 1.4.

00:40:34

That's pretty good. That's better than like some of that stuff on cable.

00:40:39

I mean, Real Housewives of New York gets less views than my Instagram story.

00:40:41

Like, yeah, yeah. Also, the Thanksgiving, uh, show that she's doing is called Potstirrers. It's a Traders-inspired competition where two secret potsters are planted among a volatile group of reality stars and internet personalities, each working to sabotage the night from within for a shot at the cash prize. You know, like, if you wanted to, like, like, we could go on stuff like this.

00:41:00

No, I'm okay.

00:41:01

Right?

00:41:04

Yeah, no, like, we are definitely in the pool of people who might be selected for this new genre of TV shows.

00:41:08

Yeah, you guys know I was asked to be on, uh, Special Forces.

00:41:11

Thank you. And of course, who could forget The Masked Singer? But, um, no, I never thought of how this—

00:41:17

like what I was just talking about, all of these new shows.

00:41:19

I mean, you would be really good at Pot Stirrer.

00:41:22

You think so?

00:41:22

You should go on.

00:41:23

Should I? It's like Thanksgiving theme, so like it's probably like cozy vibes, like, right?

00:41:28

You know, bikinis necessary. That's what I meant.

00:41:33

Yeah, of course, that's exactly what I meant.

00:41:35

No, a lot of these, it's like, it's like a swimming challenge. I'm out.

00:41:38

I'm cracking up.

00:41:39

Should I like put yourself forward?

00:41:42

Let me call my agent.

00:41:44

Jack's on Potster season 1, and I think there's like a Thanksgiving feast.

00:41:48

Like, maybe I could cook. Could you imagine?

00:41:50

I don't think that that's a vibe.

00:41:51

Could you imagine if I did one of these things?

00:41:55

I think you should. I would support that like so hard.

00:41:58

I think I should just like shake it up, you know? Sometimes it's just like, what if I just—

00:42:02

but then you have to like—

00:42:04

it's the actual going and doing logistics. And what about my— I can't— the kids, I guess. Yeah, they're coming to— where are we going?

00:42:10

We're all stirring the pot. Yeah, that's the hard part is like the logistics.

00:42:17

I guess if they want to— if there's a— okay, if there's a one of these shows, what are we calling them? Like a mix?

00:42:23

Let's call it like South Florida Retreat.

00:42:25

Yeah, no, if there's one that's gonna happen in South Florida but it's giving bikinis.

00:42:30

Oh, so no. So never mind.

00:42:32

So never mind. If there's one that's happening at like Disneyland Disney World in the winter, let me know. In January, there probably is, considering how many different permutations of shows are happening, right?

00:42:44

Like, this is the new trend. Everyone's trying to be traitors.

00:42:48

Yeah, I'm fucking cracking up that we could go on shit like this.

00:42:52

Yeah, but we're not going to, right? Like, please don't make me.

00:42:55

I know, I know, we're not going to, but now, like, just thinking about it is just giving me a chuckle, and it's like, it's just fun to think about.

00:43:03

Yeah, although I do feel like because the internet is so like groupthink, I feel like they are gonna have a hard time casting high-level people for internet personalities for these types of shows because everybody's like Team Alex Earl.

00:43:18

Oh no, everybody's thirsty and Alex Earl's not giving them a job.

00:43:22

It's so true.

00:43:24

So all of you guys who really showed yourselves and you're jealous, right?

00:43:28

Yeah, right. Everybody like making TikToks into your hole because she's still the boss, handing out paychecks.

00:43:38

Are you ready for our next story?

00:43:40

Mm-hmm.

00:43:41

You're not, you're not going to want to hear it, but we have to talk about it.

00:43:45

What?

00:43:45

Kelsey Ballerini and Chase Stokes were reunited and spotted together strolling through the streets of New York City.

00:43:51

Yeah, this is really bad. Yeah, it's really bad. Um, not only for like— it's bad for her because I don't feel that this is, you know, her end-all be-all. Someone who cheats on you, someone who publicly embarrasses you, like, this is not a person who really loves you deeply. So from a relationship romantic standpoint, this is such a bad call. But also like, for some reason, and it's because it's like when people, you know, flip-flop back and forth in the public eye, it just like rubs people the wrong way. But this is also like so bad for her Q score. Like, this really turns— like, rubs people the wrong way in terms of like the public perception of it. And I think that like it's not good for her career either.

00:44:30

Yeah, no, it's not, because it rubs people the wrong way. But also like if the songs— and her songs are so mirror images of her life, like, and she drops them like the week after she writes them. And so if the songs are about like this right now, like nobody wants to hear it is the problem. Like it's not— if even if she writes a banger, like it's not really a relatable feeling of like going back to like the person that everybody— nobody wants to— like at a certain point, yeah, he's bad for you, you could write that song, but like this, you know, the beating of the dead horse. Nobody wants to hear it.

00:45:01

It's so incongruous with this like new era she's been in. She moved to New York and all of her content and her interviews has just been about how it's been like such a freeing experience to live in a new place by herself, make new friends. And so she's like made, you know, 10 steps forward and now 11 steps backwards. Like, it's just— you hate to see it.

00:45:18

Maybe she needs your friendship and counsel.

00:45:20

I am around, of course. I do live in, in the, in the bright light big city. But you know, it's also like sometimes like people just have to like make their own mistakes and like learn the hard way. And it's definitely tough to do with so many people watching and criticizing, cuz like, you know, normal girls do this all the time. They go back to like their shitty ex and—

00:45:37

yeah, yeah. But I feel like we expect more of our, of our— I feel like—

00:45:42

singer-songwriters.

00:45:43

I feel like the back and forth like was fine until a point, and I feel like with them they've reached that point. And now we're past the point. And I feel like with even normal girls—

00:45:54

she's not sharing— girls get to a point with their friends, and we're friends, like, girl, I can't—

00:45:58

and where it's actually over. Like, when does it just be over?

00:46:03

Yeah, I thought it was. I actually really did when she was like, listen, I'm done sharing. Like, I made a mistake. And then like she like looked so silly because he did, you know, end up doing whatever and they broke up again. I— it's really crazy.

00:46:18

And you know what makes it even sadder? It means that she's not dating Craig Conover.

00:46:25

And maybe if she was dating Craig Conover, we wouldn't be in this pickle. And I actually need Craig to just slide into her DMs because, you know, that's how her and Chase met. So like, she obviously peruses.

00:46:35

Yeah, and she like knows him from the show and she bid on him and like, he would be great.

00:46:39

She needs to— he needs to send like a really slick message. Let's help him think of like being like, just to sort of help her get out of this bind.

00:46:48

Like, or he should just ask her out.

00:46:52

You know what, I think I need to take matters into my own hands and set them up. I have both of their phone numbers. I should just put them in a chat and be like, listen, I think you two should meet.

00:47:01

Yeah, you should have— or, or you host like a dinner party, like a Shabbat dinner when Craig's in town. Yeah, and invite both both of them. I think that's better.

00:47:11

That's actually a really good idea.

00:47:12

I think that's better.

00:47:14

I'll have to find out when Craig's coming, but if Craig flies in all the time— one thing about Craig, he flew— no, you flew in for Ruby's bris. I fucking love that. Like, I just fucking love him.

00:47:25

They try to make us hate him and they could never.

00:47:28

Never.

00:47:29

Uh, okay, this is a good plan.

00:47:34

Yeah.

00:47:35

Are you ready for our fourth story?

00:47:37

I am.

00:47:39

Andy Cohen denies Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fakery after Luisa Kudrow awkwardly called him out on Watch What Happens Live.

00:47:45

Oh, I'm so glad we're talking about this because I also want to talk about something that happened on Watch What Happens Live last night with Nick Lachey. Did you see that clip?

00:47:50

Which, about the plane? Yeah, I didn't see the clip. What happened?

00:47:54

So Andy was like, there was a rumor that you actually, um, were on the same flight as Jessica Simpson quite recently. And Nick, who was actually very respectful, was like, yeah, we were on the same flight and Andy was asking so many questions. So like he ended up spilling a little bit of tea, but only because Andy was pushing. The comments were like, Nick loves to talk about Jessica. Actually, I felt like it was really pulled out of him because he was being a little confusing because it was like we were both there with our families, but then Nick was like, yeah, so it was like Jessica and her mom. And Andy was like, well, where are the kids? So lo and behold, Jessica flew her kids coach. Well, Nick, Vanessa, and the whole crew were in first class. Jessica and her mother were in first class and the kids were in coach.

00:48:38

And I just want to say, that makes me love her.

00:48:39

Like, kids should not be flying first class unless they're like, you know, under the age of like— they need diaper change. When kids can be grown, yeah, bitch, you're sitting in coach. We're not all flying, uh, first class until they can sit without their parents. Absolutely.

00:48:52

Yeah.

00:48:52

It wasn't clear if her husband was also in coach with them, which I actually think— so then Nick was like— and I'm not sure if it's like where they stand, but like, her husband I think he was in coach with the kids.

00:49:05

Wow, queen, queen.

00:49:07

The comments were coming for her. I'm like, wait, no, that's my fucking queen right now.

00:49:10

But also like queen for Nick and Vanessa for flying with their kids in first class even though they're of lesser means.

00:49:15

Uh, much lesser.

00:49:16

So everyone just seems like a good person in this story.

00:49:19

Yeah, and he— and I think that like for a while he hated Jessica Simpson. Like obviously that was his ex-wife, but like hated because he became the villain in the story And I think it took a really long time of like positive— like honestly, Love Is Blind really helped, like positive public affection, like for him to get out of it. So I think now they're at a place where they all like each other, but I think they really hated Jessica for many years.

00:49:41

Yeah, but I also think he was a bad husband. Yeah, not just that, like her story painted him in a certain way. Like I think that he was like—

00:49:48

we all watched it on the show.

00:49:49

And also like in her book, like I think he was the wrong husband for her. I think he was very jealous and like just— and maybe I don't know why, I just like hope he's not that person anymore. He was also younger and like maybe he didn't like how he was.

00:50:00

I agree that I think he wasn't a bad person. He was like a young famous— like it's just a recipe. I could see him being like a healed version now. Yeah, but yeah, like when you're a pop star marrying a pop star and then like your wife becomes much more famous and rich than you, and like your star is rising and her star is lowering and hers is rising, like that's got to be hard for a young person.

00:50:19

Yeah, and like seriously, what kind young male can really— like, what's the best way to handle that, right? It's— you— it takes a real strong type and a lot of maturity and wisdom that come with age.

00:50:30

Yeah.

00:50:32

Anyways, so Andy Cohen addressed Lisa Kudrow because when she was on Watch What Happens Live, Andy asked, um, her about like what she's watching, and she said that she had been watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, um, And he like wanted her take and he was like begging her for it and she was like, you're not gonna like it, you're not gonna like it.

00:50:51

And I thought what she was gonna say was that it's boring. Like remember when Sarah Michelle Keller said that? Yeah. And so then she was like, the vans.

00:50:58

She said, I saw the Beverly Hills episode. You don't want me to discuss it. I'm telling you right now. I'm just, I thought she was like, it's boring. She said, I'm just going to say black Mercedes Sprinter twins. I caught that. I'm sorry. To which Andy awkwardly chuckled and responded, okay. Yeah.

00:51:13

So then he, so what she's referring to is that in Italy on Beverly Hills, there's like this big scene where Dorit leaves Erika. They all took a cab together, a black Mercedes Sprinter van. They all took it up to this gelato shop, and Dorit gets mad and leaves and takes the car. But, you know, eagle-eyed viewers were quick to point out there were two vans there because they had two different license plates. It was so like actually quite obvious what was going on. So they're making this big storyline like, you left us up the mountain. It's like, no, we didn't, there was a car right there. Yeah, they're like, we had to wait 45 minutes for an Uber.

00:51:40

They see them like walking the street and then they wind up getting in a van, and it's the same van that drove them there. So Andy spoke about it on his radio show. He said, it blew up that people were saying she was calling me out on the fakery of the show. He explained to his co-host that the scene that she was referring to was when they blew up in Italy. Dorit said screw you, got in the Mercedes van and left. What Lisa was pointing out was that there was another Mercedes van there, so they weren't stranded. However, he said he had heard from producers that Dorit did strand them in town. The other car was the crew vehicle that was taking the crew somewhere else. So Kyle and Erica then called the house to ask for a ride back. They called the house, and that's why the van that had just dropped off the crew then returned to get Erica and Kyle. He promised that they were walking on the street and that waiting for the car was real. He added that the stars were waiting for some time before the crew van returned to get them.

00:52:31

It's not even that interesting, he said. I'm sorry to bore you guys, but that's what happened.

00:52:35

Well, I also then read a blind item from NT on Twitter that was like, Andy was really pissed about this and Lisa Kudrow was never allowed back on Watch What Happens Live, even though I believe Andy Cohen is a huge Lisa Kudrow fan. Like, The Comeback is his favorite show, and I believe that they're like old friends. So I'm gonna choose not to believe that blind, although I can see Andy like being so mad.

00:52:53

It's just not that big of a deal. Like, first of all, I don't know that I believe Andy's story. Maybe— I don't think he's a liar, but like, I just don't like his version of it because like, why would the crew take a van when there's two ladies stranded on the mountain, right?

00:53:06

Wouldn't the car take the ladies and then the crew?

00:53:08

And where is the crew going to another location if it's not the house where they're all filming and saying the other women are at the house, right?

00:53:15

And why can't the women and the crew drive together?

00:53:18

Yeah, or Dorit and the crew. And so it's like, maybe he's telling— maybe this is true, but I just— I don't like it, you know?

00:53:24

I agree.

00:53:25

I don't want to believe it.

00:53:26

It's a version of the truth.

00:53:27

I don't want to believe it.

00:53:28

It. I also like don't really care.

00:53:30

No, me neither. And it's not that big of a scandal. I guess it would show that they like fake stuff for the show. I don't think that it was fake, but I do think that maybe production could have had a situation where Erika and Kyle were not stranded because they did have another car and they chose to strand them.

00:53:46

Drama at all.

00:53:47

Dorit left in one car. Dorit didn't— the thing is, Dorit did not strand them. She saw two cars and she took one knowing her friends had another car. I think that's the difference. It's not that Dorit stranded and then production chose to strand them then.

00:53:59

Yeah, by giving that interesting—

00:54:02

like, yeah, you know, it's not— I think it feels like a gotcha moment, like, for, like, fans to be like, yeah, eagle-eyed viewers.

00:54:12

Like, I guess I'm the opposite of an eagle-eyed viewer. I can't get off my phone. I'm busy watching an episode of Euphoria. I'm like, well, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is on my TV, I'm watching Cassie and Nate Yeah, and maybe Zendaya— did she die? Who knows?

00:54:26

Will Cassie and Nate divorce? I keep being surprised that it seems like they're not divorced because he's like calling her from the kitchen like with the bills being like, work harder, like make that money.

00:54:35

Well, maybe they don't get divorced because like one of them dies. Now I'm like, now you put into my brain that somebody dies.

00:54:42

Oh, okay.

00:54:43

Who do you think it is? I, uh, TBD. It might have been Zendaya already. We don't know. Based on what I've seen, oh, I think you know what That's a good Polly Market. Like, who dies in Euphoria? Like, prediction.

00:54:54

Hold on, I think it's Rue. And that would like make sense, you know. I think Zendaya is ready.

00:54:59

Oh wait, there is one. Who will die in Euphoria season 3? 77% of people say it's Nate Jacobs. That's, uh, Jacob Elordi. 57% of people say it's Rue. I feel like Rue's like a little obvious. 15% say Jules. Nate is a good—

00:55:12

but like the show, unfortunately, I don't know Jules. Because she's not a Hunter Schafer.

00:55:17

She has— you have her reels? Haven't hit you yet?

00:55:19

No, I don't get her scenes. No.

00:55:21

Well, you could check out the Polymarket Pop Culture Markets, download the app and use code Toast, of course.

00:55:26

Oh, you told me Jules and, and Rue are together.

00:55:28

Yes, yes. Um, and then there's a couple of other people here. Maddie. But no, I actually think Nate Jacobs is a good guy.

00:55:36

I think so too, based on what I've seen. He deserves to die.

00:55:38

Yeah, but he's like the villain, and like shows like this, like That's too— like, it's too much of a happy ending.

00:55:43

But wouldn't it just be like, then the women can like rise?

00:55:47

It's not that type of show. It is not that type of show, my girl.

00:55:50

Girl boss to the sun and the moon. No, and back.

00:55:53

It ain't that type of show.

00:55:54

And sisterhood will no longer be screwed.

00:55:58

Well, I say screw sisterhood.

00:56:01

You think that's like the theme of Euphoria?

00:56:04

Kind of, yeah.

00:56:05

Yeah. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? Yeah, it's a little crazy. Turdy Lou Murdaugh news.

00:56:13

Oh my God, I can't believe we're back to talking about this.

00:56:16

Alex Murdaugh's murder confessions— convictions, not confessions, that's important distinction— his murder convictions of wife and son shockingly overturned, and a new trial has been ordered in a wild twist. So Alex Murdaugh, the disgraced South Carolina legal scion who was found guilty of killing his wife and son, had his murder convictions since constitutively overturned yesterday by the state Supreme Court after it found that the local county clerk, clerk had placed her fingers on the scales of justice. Murdaugh was serving two consecutive life sentences without parole for the grisly 2021 murders of his wife Maggie and their 22-year-old son Paul following a dramatic six-week trial that gripped the nation and many docuseries. Although we are aware of the time, money, and effort expended for this lengthy trial, we have no choice but to reverse the denial of Murdaugh's motion for a new trial due to Hill's improper external influences on the jury and remand for a new trial.

00:57:15

So what did they do that caused a retrial? This is so crazy.

00:57:21

The Murdaugh's lawyers appealed the convictions, arguing the trial was affected by County Clerk Becky Hill, who they say tampered with the jury during the trial. They also accused the judge of allowing prosecutors to present more than 12 hours of evidence regarding his financial crimes to prove a motive for the murder. Murdaugh's lawyers appealed the murder convictions, arguing the trial was affected by— oh, they, they put that again twice. That's a typo. Um, oh my God, no, it's—

00:57:46

so it's a technicality. What, like, it's like he's getting a retrial on a technicality because they went over 12 hours?

00:57:53

No, I think— I don't think you have a 12-hour limit. I think they're saying it was like unduly— like, they're showing 12 hours of financial crimes, which would sway a jury, but financial crimes have actually nothing to do with whether or not he murdered I mean, like, I'm excited because that was a fun time.

00:58:07

Like, we were all watching the trial. Um, obviously Turdy Lou Murdaugh was born of this trial. I just really feel like he did it, and if he didn't, he's covering up for his son who did it. And so, like, I was okay with this, you know?

00:58:25

Yeah, no, my question is, if he didn't, then who did?

00:58:29

Right, and it's been a while since I watched the documentaries. I watched a few because it was like, it was a really hot topic at the time, but there were theories that it was the son Buster. Buster, that's not that the lights went out in Georgia.

00:58:47

But then the son that he killed hit the girl with the boat.

00:58:53

Oh right, they were also like, they were a fucked up family because They killed someone. Like, they had just like a lot. They was a hidden drug—

00:59:01

hidden—

00:59:01

they were like a very wealthy family in a small town, so they knew the sheriff and the judge and everything. And it was just like everyone had blood on their hands. And so they had a dark past of like both the sons— no, the son who's alive and is the one.

00:59:15

And what about the boy? The boy on the street hit by a—

00:59:21

right, Buster.

00:59:22

Buster.

00:59:24

Hit and run.

00:59:25

He like took that boy.

00:59:28

What boy?

00:59:28

I think, I think he was gay.

00:59:31

Oh, the gay boy. I remember.

00:59:33

Yeah, and they killed him. Someone killed him. Buster.

00:59:37

Yeah, I need to refresh if before the next trial happens because I'm sure we'll all be sat again and I need to remember like what I thought and like what I felt.

00:59:45

Yeah, there were like a couple murders in the town that—

00:59:48

well, I'm sure there will be. Yeah, right, right, right.

00:59:51

Were you know, in the orbit of the family. And then someone killed the mother.

00:59:57

They had this huge property.

00:59:58

And then someone killed the mother and the son, and it was thought to be the father that did it.

01:00:05

I, I'm sure there will be another documentary that now includes this update and the trial and stuff, because I'm kind of ready to be sad again for this.

01:00:14

Yeah. And I just like, if he didn't do it, who did it?

01:00:18

Right? Who— it's one of those whodunit. Well, a lot of people think it was the son because he has this history, remember, the gay lover. Oh, and people thought maybe it was a lover.

01:00:26

Yeah, that he's gay, right?

01:00:29

Very David Korofsky energy from Glee.

01:00:31

It was for sure.

01:00:32

One thing about David Korofsky from Glee is like it all roads lead to him. Like he's sort of a timeless— well, it's not really— he's almost like a silhouette. Like a lot of people are David Korofsky.

01:00:43

Like a self-hating—

01:00:44

the gay basher who's secretly gay.

01:00:46

Yeah, bully, right? What'd you call him? The gay bastard.

01:00:51

Gay basher.

01:00:52

Gay basher.

01:00:53

No, I would never call someone a gay bastard.

01:00:55

I didn't say bastard. I didn't hear what you said. It sounded like gay bastard, and I didn't know.

01:01:00

Gay basher, like somebody who like beats up gay people. Yeah, but it's because they themselves are gay. Yeah, it's a complicated thing.

01:01:10

Well, those are the Fast Five stories.

01:01:12

You need very fast—

01:01:14

not even— I did not fast.

01:01:16
