Good morning, girlies, it's The Toast. It's Jax and Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's The Toast. I sound amazing.
Welcome back to The Toast and happy Friday. Yeah, that's right. A celebratory day, also known as Viernes, huge for the community.
Also known as shishi. Yom Shishi.
Okay, Hebrew, yes, today is Yom HaShishi. It
is very shishi, very She by Sheree, shishi.
A very Kevin, help me, from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kevin, the one who called Katie Maloney fat, the— The jeweler? No, Kyle Chan, of course I know Kyle Chan. Kevin Lee, is that his name, the party planner? Beverly Hills, shishi shishi shishi.
Oh yeah, Yom HaShishi shishi shishi.
but it was worth every minute. Happy Friday, everyone! It's a beautiful day. We have a great show. Queenie and Weenie, lots to discuss.
We actually have a lot to discuss. I'm looking forward to the stories.
Oh, really?
Yeah, like, now looking at them, like, every single one I feel excited about. And there's one that you feel excited about.
Yes. Would you say that the stories are so meaty?
I want to say yes just to, like, sort of—
Close the circle on the reference.
Make you feel like, they are so meaty, but—
But that's kind of like what you're implying.
It's not like a ton of meat, but it's just like, it's just like, like
meaty. Sounds like, sounds like the word you're looking for is meaty.
Fine, meaty.
How exciting. Um, well, you have any big plans for the weekend, Jax?
I mean, whatever we do.
Whatever you're doing. Yeah, right. Um, I don't currently have anything planned, but I know it's gonna be an amazing weekend cuz we're together.
I know we should go to the pumpkin patch. Oh, I didn't think about that.
Now what goes on at the pumpkin patch aside from like gazing at pumpkins?
You can bring pumpkins home.
Doesn't really do anything for me.
I'm trying to beef up my pumpkin supply.
What else goes on there?
Um, you know, they have like fall harvest sorts of activities.
Like a hayride?
Yes.
Oh, you know what? First of all, I'm always into like a stationary activity where like I can be an active parent while sitting down. And a hayride, like you'll catch me, I'll take all the kids. I'll go on rotation.
It, like, it, it is like in the blazing hot sun, like not an ounce of shade. I will have to bring my sunblock. A
lot of the like fall activities just don't sort of feel the same here.
Yeah.
I mean, 'cause it's not fall.
I wouldn't be— yesterday was so nice too.
It was quite— everyone was talking about it. It was a little chilly in SoHo.
It was so amazing. So maybe that energy will carry over into the weekend. But no, if it wasn't for the fact that I really want some gorgeous pumpkins for my house.
Yeah. For like your Rach Parcell front yard, right?
Yeah.
Like you're going full influencer.
It's so not Rach, like, because like the kids and Zach are doing it and
they're like hand painted. Like how cute.
Yeah. So ugly. Rach would vomit. Correct. Oh, Rach would vomit. Rach commented on something in my house yesterday. She was— my wallpaper. She was like, oh my God, the wallpaper. I was like, oh my God, it's Rach.
Yeah, Rach kind of like is the aesthetic.
She's the blueprint.
She's the blueprint. Like, her house is—
Still. And when did she do her house? Like, probably almost 10 years ago at this point.
Listen, taste is forever.
It's timeless. So I had Rach's approval, and that meant everything to me.
Oh, I had— we had Olivia Culpo's approval. Did you see she commented on our reel yesterday?
Yeah, we did.
Uh, the conversation about would you eat your own poop if it made you skinny? And I felt like, honestly, Olivia Culpo Like, is kind of one of us in that sense. And she's definitely thinking about it.
Yeah, but I don't think she would, 'cause I think she would just work hard.
Well, some people are capable of working hard. Some of us are not. Mm-hmm.
So where did you land? Would you eat your own poop?
Well, oh, I was showing— I showed so many of our clips from yesterday's show to Ben, 'cause I was just like excited and I wanted him to see the doctor's appointment thing. And Ben did want me to clarify, although I think Ben is like 100% misremembering or straight up lying. He said— I didn't flash him my crack. He said I like mooned him my whole ass, which I didn't, by the way. I didn't, no, I said I like flashing my crack and I did.
Your crack was already showing.
I just pulled it down a little bit, like I didn't do a whole moon.
Your crack was already showing and then you showed more crack.
Yeah.
So I don't think we saw like the whole—
You saw less than 50% of my ass, but Ben was like, you have to tell me, you showed me your whole ass. I'm like, you're being so drama. Like, first of all, I'm not that flexible. Like, I can't, I can't, I didn't, like liar. Um, but I also showed him the eating your own poop clip. Okay. And obviously, like, Ben is also a person who yearns to be thin, but—
I think he would eat his own poop.
No, he was like, you guys are insane, like, for even talking about that. I was like—
He eats weird stuff all the time.
He basically eats his own poop.
Yeah, like, he eats mystery meat from Costco.
He does eat mystery meat.
For no reward.
For free. For free.
Without even the guarantee of lifetime fitness.
Lifetime improvement. Yeah, it's true.
So,
and that's my husband. Okay.
That's your husband. My husband brought me froyo last night, which was such a special treat. I never do that. I never do that. But he had to go to the store after hours to get, cuz we ran out of, um, milk. Mm-hmm. Which we've now transitioned to whole milk. And so I forget, you literally need to buy a, a carton.
One every day.
One every day.
It's so annoying.
And you don't wanna buy like so much at once cuz you don't wanna trash milk.
You could go bad. Yeah, of course.
So he's out at the store and, and he went to the froyo for me. And
what'd you get?
Cookies and cream with Oreos, my favorite. A
classic combination.
A classic combination. I thoroughly enjoyed. I watched some TV.
What'd you watch? I
watched Kardashians, which we have a story about Kardashians, so I'll save thoughts. Did you watch?
No.
And there was one funny, funny scene. Really? It was so random. I don't know how they got these 3 people to film together, but we go to Kendall's, I guess, new house. They don't give us any sort of context as to where we are. However, she's in a home. There are some like rooms that are being renovated and she's waiting for her horses to arrive. I guess she, I'm putting this together. Yes. She finally is in a new house that has stables and she can have her horses live with her.
That's pretty cool.
'Cause she keeps talking about how she's been waiting for the same, like what day?
Right.
For your horses to, like, what are we talking about? But I, using context clues, new house. She keeps talking about all this newness entering her life. Like in her interview, she's like, I have a lot of newness lately. I think she's talking about Jacob. Of course. Also, we have to put this together. It's like a puzzle. And she's like, And I think all this newness is finding me at like just the right time in my life and that all this newness like will come together. So I think she's saying she's going to have— get married and have babies in this house with Jacob Elordi. Oh. I think that's what she's saying.
Okay, but it sounds like you're like— this is a rough translation of Kendall Jenner.
Yes, because she's being so vague about the newness. And the newness is the boyfriend because they do ask about the boyfriend. And then Caitlyn shows up for the day.
The queen who's quite literally like underutilized in this show. I know none of them want to film and they like scrap together these episodes and it's like, well, why don't you just send a crew to Caitlyn's house because Queen can entertain.
So Caitlyn comes over to Kendall's new house, straight out the gate asks about the love life.
And that's why, like, she's the people's princess.
And Kendall was like, no.
Doesn't wanna talk about it.
Then Scott shows up. And the scene is the 3 of them, like, having—
Ragtag trio.
Having, like, egg sandwiches and touring Kendall's new house, which it was so—
That's what I mean when I say, like, nobody wants to film, they stitch together these random episodes.
It was so funny. So it was actually, there was this grossest scene where they were eating egg sandwiches.
And what's an egg sandwich? Like egg salad? No, like, um, Toast? Like bacon, egg, and cheese vibes? Sort of. Okay, okay.
But I guess Caitlyn got hers sunny side up.
Runny.
Runny. And when she took a bite into it, she made the grossest joke. Kendall was like, I don't wanna repeat it, so—
You have to!
Caitlyn was like, I feel like this sandwich just came out of my mouth.
Ew, Caitlyn! After I just like sung your praises about how we need more of you on the show.
I thought I was going to pass away.
As she motherfucking should.
We kept talking about it. Scott was like living for it. Caitlyn go harder and harder with the joke. I was literally, I was clutching my pearls. I just couldn't believe the scene.
Oh my.
It was so crazy, but it was actually a great scene. And then when Kendall walks away, like Scott's talking to camera about how Kendall needs to have babies in this house and like Kendall's listening. It's just so funny.
Yeah. What a, what a unique grouping of individuals.
More of that, please.
I agree. I agree.
More of Caitlyn and Scott.
Scott always shows up for work, you know? Like I think he gets paid from the show and like it's one of his jobs. his like few like income streams, and he takes it seriously, more seriously than some of the other castmates.
Yeah.
And he provides a lot.
And they went to Khloe's house to finish the conversation from last week about Tyla.
Tyla, yeah.
The unborn baby. The unborn child. The baby in the freezer.
The embryo.
And, um, they started talking about Lamar's documentary, and Scott's there and he just starts, you know, like talking shit, 'cause she— Khloe was saying in the documentary how Lamar Jr. said they would come for Christmas just so that Kris and Khloe would give them presents, 'cause they knew they would spend a lot of money on them.
Who's Lamar Jr.?
I guess Lamar's son.
Oh, I don't remember that. And I did watch the documentary.
I said that.
Got it. Okay, so—
And Scott was like, yeah, and honestly, they treated us like shit even when they were there. And he was just talking about back in the day, like what it was really like.
Oh, that's interesting. Yeah, they should have had Scott in the documentary.
Yeah, just like more Scott, please.
More Scott. I need to keep you abreast on a little bit of podcast news that's unfolding. I'm sure you haven't heard about it.
Wait, I think it was in my email. H3H3. Let
me explain it to you since I know you don't like—
Crew cuts ties with Ethan Klein after Hila Klein says he's been having an affair. It's giving Try Guys.
It is kind of giving Try Guys. And obviously, like, I hate to see families suffering, but I do love to see like a podcast fall, just like further cementing our place in culture. Um, so you remember when Trisha Paytas had that podcast Frenemies? Of course. And it was like so viral, and it was with her— I guess he was technically her brother-in-law. Like, her husband's sister is Hila. That's how they met. So Trisha met her husband on Frenemies, which she hosted with Ethan. Remember her and Ethan were always fighting.
And yeah, and what's like the Ethan lore?
So Ethan and Trisha are married to siblings. Wow. Yeah, and so like things got really messy obviously between the podcast broke up and then the family doesn't talk and it's like really sad and bad. After Frenemies, he continued on with his podcast that's been around forever. It's called H3. He hosts it with Hila, his wife. Everybody loves Hila. Hila posted on Instagram like last night or this morning being like, I found out Ethan's been having an affair, the podcast is over, effective immediately. Like, fuck you all, bye. That's all we have. Now, of course people are freaking out because like the sort of H3 Universe, which is like the production company that started Frenemies the podcast, has like— it's always like riddled with so much drama. But now it seems like the whole thing is over.
Yeah.
The marriage is over, the podcast is over, the production company's over.
I, I, it just feels like that's— I don't think it's over.
Oh, do you think it's staged?
I think it's— no, I don't think it's staged. I just think these are dramatic people who live in drama and they will continue to live in drama.
That is true. Um, but just as like a competitive podcast, like, I do love to see others fall.
But that show I feel like has 9 lives.
Yeah, and it's also like not really—
Unfortunately for you, like, temporarily this will make the show bigger.
No, but there is no show.
But there will be a show.
You think?
I just don't see— think that it's over.
People are also really invested in their relationship. Like, not me, but I know that like if you care about them, like similar to the Try Guys, this is huge for you.
Yeah.
Huge news.
Okay.
For like a unique group of people.
Well, Try Guys was exciting.
It was exciting, and dare I say it made them a household name because I'd never heard of them.
And it made my Bruno, my Stry Guy, a household name.
Like, the influence it had on culture can't be overstated.
No, it really can't. So I, I'll stay tuned for more. I don't know, I'm just unmoved. And also, like, just the crazy stuff is always happening, you know? There's so much drama in the world that, like, it just takes a lot to move me.
Well, I think that's what we call jaded in the industry.
But I guess it would be like if you know the people and you shipped them.
Or like, who's a podcast hosted by like a married man and wife who we like love? Like, imagine if they—
Like 2 Bees and, um, what was it? He Said, She Said.
Okay, no. Like—
He Said, She Said.
Yeah, I knew what you meant. No.
Um, Matt and Abby.
That would be devastating.
That would be— yeah.
I hope they're doing well. I feel like they
I think they are doing well considering the fact I don't hear a lot.
Yeah, like they took a step back. They got so much hate, but wishing them well.
Yeah, so I guess like something like that, like a— Would rock your world. A man you want to come to rely on.
Right, and trust.
Like who professes their marital advice. That's the crazy part, you know?
Those in glass houses. Mm-hmm. What else?
Um, we could get into the stories.
Which you would say are pretty meaty.
Which I would say are pretty meaty. Oh, the other thing that I watched last night Was Golden Life. I started.
You did? I did. Oh my God, I wish you told me, 'cause I've been like Golden Life curious.
I've been curious.
I saw a hilarious clip and I was like, I think I need to watch this.
Well, so I've been curious, just like, you know, from our point of view as like pop culture commentators. And I wasn't gonna watch it 'cause really the Jill thing left a really bad taste in my mouth. And I was like, oh, that's not the show I thought it was.
I know. And then when I started seeing like clips, I'm like, damn, this kind of looks good. I wanna watch it.
So it's not good.
Really?
Yes. I will— I'm only in the middle of the first episode, but the premise is just completely off. I thought this show would be so organic because all the ladies are down in Florida. Live down here, yeah. In Palm Beach, and let's just pick up some cameras and meet them where they're at. No. Ramona and Sonja live in Palm Beach. The other women do not. Luann has not been here since she's been arrested.
Oh! So was this like an ultimate girls trip?
Dorinda has like never—
Dorinda has no ties here.
The whole premise is I'm thinking about moving there. Sure. Oh, please.
Sure. Oh, that sucks.
Kelly Ben-Simon—
Is a tried and true New Yorker.
Does not live there.
Yeah.
So it's like everyone's come down and they're trying to get everyone back together. Sonia's like a recluse and antisocial. It's not like she sees Ramona and they go out. So Luanne hasn't seen Sonia in years. They're talking about drama from Bluestone Manor. Like, Sonja's still mad that Dorinda didn't invite her to Bluestone Manor the last season that they went because like Sonja didn't get to film those episodes and she lost a lot of money. So she keeps saying, you took like money, food outta my daughter's mouth.
Okay, your daughter's a Morgan, she's fine.
Which is very dramatic, but I understand like that's bothersome.
No, of course.
But it's like really, it's not like all this stuff has happened in the last few years and we're picking them up and like they—
Or like they're having drama about things that are actively happening.
They have lively lives happening. No, it's just like them once again on an island getting some turnt yacht and—
Being drunk, talking about old stuff. Oh fuck, that's so annoying because from what I've seen, It's like the gang is back together. I've also seen such interesting clips. Andy, it's definitely this thorn in his side because he was asked— he's doing press for something. I saw him on a bunch of different podcasts being asked about it, and he makes it clear to everyone that they passed on the show. They were pitched it first. They had first right of refusal. They said no, but he's really happy for them. But it's literally the least genuine thing ever. And I think it being I don't know if the show is being well received in terms of like its
content,
but the concept, people are so excited about it. Like, these are our girls. I've seen a lot of hype on social media and I think it's like becoming this real thing. I don't know why they have such shit on that network. Like, what's one more?
The way it sounded to me when he described it, he tried to be like kind and say, you know, we had Rony Legacy we were gonna do. We wound up doing an ultimate girls trip and that felt like a good final goodbye. I think he sensed like—
That there's nothing there.
There's really nothing there.
Except for like history and lore.
And like big personalities and it's really fun and I love I love some of the women. Like, I am Ramona.
Yeah, you are.
I am Ramona, and she's just entered into this, she's very peaceful, she's like, living in Florida has like totally chilled her out, but she's just like so funny and so principled about the things that she's principled about. And it's such a joy to see her, but she's not like being the old Ramona. Like, she's actually sort of grown up a little bit. She's not being crazy. And the ones who are, it's like, wait, really? So it's like, you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.
Yeah, I saw them all doing like a group interview at SiriusXM, and I was just like, They all— they're all trying to have their moment, you know? Everyone's trying to like go viral and say and be and do, and it was definitely overwhelming. I'm sad to hear— I am gonna watch it because I'd like to decide for myself. And the clip that I saw was cracking me up. Like, it was Luann. Like, I love Luann forever and always. Like, she's— when I was watching Real Housewives, uh, 20th anniversary, like, she is my queen. Like, I love her so much. So the clip was just that like Harry Dubin was telling everyone that she squirted.
Oh my God, this was such a good moment.
So honestly, whoever clipped that, like, good job, because that was a— it was just— and in her confessional, you think she's gonna be mad that like Harry Dubin is telling her personal business, and she's like, well, some talents can't be learned, darling. Like, she's so funny.
On the boat, like, Sonia— like, they were kind of coming for Sonia being like, you said you see Harry all the time, he says he doesn't see you. They're just like really like holding her feet to the fire.
And like, we're still doing Harry Dubin.
No, and she said, I see him sometimes. I'm not seeing him. Like, Right. A bad game of telephone. And then Sonia just goes, well, Harry said that you squirted Luann. Like, it was so below the belt, like, and so obviously private. And Luann goes, what'd you say? And I thought it was gonna be like, this could be the beef of the whole season. Of course. And then she's like, well, it's true.
Yeah, like, she is such a queen. Like, give Luann her own show. Like, so I'm definitely biased.
'Cause like the way that moment could have just continued to be talked about and talked about, they had a fight about this and that. Right. And she just like totally jumped right in the bait.
Took it on the chin. She's such a queen.
It's true. She— I thought the same thing.
Some talents can't be learned, darling.
I thought the same thing.
Okay, so I guess that was like the one good moment.
It was one good moment.
And they got a streaming partner. I think a lot of people were, um, if your show's just like on cable—
Let me tell you how I found it.
Yeah, right.
Because I, I went to Peacock only to learn that I guess E! is no longer a part of NBC.
E! is no longer a part of the NBCUniversal family. So when your show's on E!, E! is like sort of this like black hole. And if your show doesn't have like a streaming partner the next day, your show doesn't exist. It really doesn't. Um, but I think at the like 11th hour they got picked up by Hulu Disney Plus.
Oh really?
Yes. So you can watch it on Hulu.
Oh, because I went to YouTube TV. I searched Golden Life so that I could add it to my library so future episodes would be recorded. And the first episode was there. I just had to like watch some commercials.
No, it is. They have a streaming partner, which I think is a good sign for the health of the show. Yeah. Like people are excited about it.
Also, if you watched it the way that it's filmed, like the green screens of the confessionals, like it's giving very budget.
Really?
Yes.
Well, it was a— this was a pilot program that they sold. Like, a lot of the women, that's what they were talking about, the SiriusXM interview. Sonia talking about, um, how it got and how she said like Jill really got it to the finish line in terms of like production people. But it was this sort of like—
Well, that's nice that she said that. Yeah. And it just makes me annoyed.
I feel sad for Jill. Like, that's—
And they sort of like need her because Jill lives in Florida, so she would have been another anchor person. And she— some of People are just there to be characters. Like Sonia's not caring about class. Starting stuff, yeah. Or showing up on time and, you know, getting the girls together. Same with Dorinda. Jill's just more of a planner and the show like needs a little bit of that structure because we can't have Sonia and Ramona, Sonia Luan, they are both just characters.
And like head in the clouds.
Yeah, Dorinda doesn't live here, like Dorinda, she doesn't even go here.
Dorinda was also like a bandaid for when they got rid of Jill to like make people excited about more Roni Legacy people. Dorinda does not do it for me, but she does for a lot of people.
I do not understand Kelly.
Oh yeah. First of all, no ties to Florida, really no ties to this group in the last 2 decades. And her tie was Jill. Yeah. Her and Jill are really good friends. So I don't know what her actual relationship is with any of these women, but I'm assuming it's nothing.
Yeah. And I don't know when people are like, and Kelly's coming, I'm like—
And by the way, people forget just because she had like a very iconic run, she was literally on for 2 seasons. Like, she never made real inroads, real friendships. Of course, We have so many iconic lines. Go to sleep, go to sleep, scary island. I'm up here and you're down here.
When they're just like, it's Kelly. I'm like, I don't know. It just doesn't do it for me. And also I thought her opening scene, she was doing cartwheels on the beach. Like, I can't.
She has to be doing something like that.
She should have been running down the street. Of course. In the middle of the road.
Yeah. Like on the boardwalk.
That's actually the most iconic thing she ever did.
Agreed. She was not appreciated in her own time. I will give you that. And, um, I think like Housewives was just like genuinely bad for her and her family and her health. But I can appreciate it for what it was. And bring back Alex McCord. Like, honestly.
She's in Australia now.
I know, and she like lives a very happy, peaceful life and she dabbles in Bravo and it's like good and it's fun and it's not negative. But when I rewatched, and every now and then like an Alex McCord scene comes across my desk, first of all, I'm immediately brought back to like how mean everyone was to her. Not only her castmates, but the public. Like the fact that she lived in Brooklyn was this insane character flaw that like literally nobody could get past, not in real life. They're like, it was like literally xenophobic to Brooklyn. Like the way, and then of course, the actual facility she lived in, like, didn't help her case because it was this, like, forlorn teardown fixer-upper, and they were living, like, actually with concrete floors. Like, when Jill goes to the McCord townhouse for the very first time, I'm surprised she didn't call CPS. Like, it was— they were the craziest people of all time.
That's what made the show so good. It was so real.
So real. And I feel like the fact that she now can look back on that time, like, somewhat positively, because now, like, time has been very kind to her. Brooklyn's very cool. Um, I'm sure she doesn't want to, like, go back there because they were Awful.
Yeah.
Awful!
Yeah. You
came downstairs in your Herman Munster shoes. They were Louis Vuitton.
Even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes.
That's what I mean when I say, like, Luann de Lesseps cannot be duplicated. Like, she is one of one. I love her more than anything.
Yes, but the shows need structure in order for the women to just thrive.
Because that's what ended up happening with the last couple of seasons of Real Housewives of New York with these women. They were just getting blackout, rehashing the same 4 things, and it was like dark and weird and we were never moving forward.
And like, every show needs So like, it does feel like an ultimate girls trip where like everyone just like is in Palm Beach.
Like a special. A
special. It does feel like a special, not like real life. And the show is called The Golden Life, like this is about life.
Right, I thought it was like a docuseries. Oh, but they talked about that too on the SiriusXM interview that I happen to have watched a lot of, being like, this is not a docuseries, it's a docu-soap. So this is not like us, this is not their lives, this is not a reality show. It's almost like a soap opera.
Yes, um, which is fine. I just— for a reality show, like, I need at least to pretend like there's some semblance of reality.
And like, of the fact that the cameras aren't down, and I assume you guys are still hanging out, still talking. When I can tell that the second cameras are up, it's the first time you've guys seen each other in 2 years. I hate that.
Yeah, more than 2 years. And also like, there's just like 2 bits of drama that happened in the last few years. So, you know, she does cabaret and she said that Dorinda's unfuckable.
Well,
because she was asked to play Fuck, Marry, Kill with like Dorinda Lewis.
Yeah, I remember seeing that video and she said Dorinda's unfuckable. And the thing is, like, sometimes you have to make a joke on stage. Like, I'm with Sonya on that one.
Yeah, so it's just— but maybe I'll, I'll keep watching because it is only the first episode of anything, isn't going to be amazing. Agreed. To find their feet. Agreed. Maybe I will keep watching, but I, I would say the absence of Jill is glaring, of that like person for who
actually lives in
Florida, who else can rely— like
Yeah. Well, not our PFFB. Oh, before we go, I need to talk about one thing that's sort of taken our community by storm.
Oh.
I didn't anticipate that us doing a partnership with McDonald's was going to send our community into such a tailspin. Now, this 15-second McDonald's clip that has run, I think twice, and will be running today, uh, let me just tell you like a little bit of background. Like McDonald's wanted to work with our show and of course we're gonna say yes. And most of the time they want us to do host-read ads. This time they wanted their own prerecorded. We said, yeah, sure. Yeah, sure. Like, you're paying, it's yours. I love McDonald's. Obviously I'm a huge consumer. I'm being—
oh, and then I guess the day after it ran, we talked about McDonald's.
So it was leaving like conspiracy theory,
but it was completely organic. We're not the new CEOs of McDonald's.
And by the way, what is this, the first time we've talked about McDonald's? I love McDonald's. But the fact that this was like a prerecorded ad, both, um, video and audio, really sort of tripped people up and I think sent them down like a very dark tinfoil hat rabbit hole. Like the theories that are coming out, it's coming from—
McDonald's.
We are not, like, literally nothing about the show has changed. Nothing is going to change. It was just like a kind of different type of partnership. I loved it.
Also a sort of partnership that other podcasts run all the time. I watch Chloe in Wonderland. She doesn't read one ad. Now we love reading our ads and we always wanna read our ads. Of course.
And we will continue to.
But if someone comes in with a creative new way to do ads, like, yeah, sure, we'll try it.
Of course. And I guess when, when the person—
I guess we should have let everyone know we—
I don't know. When that person comes in and that person is McDonald's, like, I will do— there are certain brands, it's like—
You say jump, you say how high.
Do you guys know me? Like McDonald's is one of my favorite. I always say McDonald's deserves a Michelin star. Like it's insane that they don't have one. I can't, I, I did not anticipate in the slightest that this would like really trip people up in such a way. I love when things, you know, shake our community. It's always fun to keep it, but I do wanna be honest with the audience. Like literally nothing changed. Nothing's happened. It's just like a different type of ad.
A different type of ad. And the conversation about Zach getting McDonald's after basketball was purely coincidence, was completely organic and just a coincidence. He did get McDonald's. People don't believe in coincidence. coincidences anymore.
Bring back coincidences.
No, and like coincidences are very real. That's why there's a word for it. And I'm not even talking about McDonald'sgate. I'm just saying like in general, like everything is a conspiracy theory now because like 2 things happen. It's called a coincidence.
It's true. Normalized coincidences happening. Sometimes though, it's not.
Is it a coincidence?
But I'm here to let you know, like it was just such an organic partnership that it wasn't like we talked about Zach and McDonald's for the first time ever. We talk about McDonald's all the time. Yeah, any excuse to film a mukbang, like So I did wanna just like come out and clear up some of the rumors. Yeah. What the streets were saying, like literally it means nothing. It's not a signal.
We're not like buying a McDonald's franchise.
I'm definitely open. I hadn't thought about it, but sure.
I,
okay, fine.
Maybe the rumors are true.
I'll buy a McDonald's franchise. Fine.
Yeah. Today's episode is brought to you by McDonald's.
No, but I'm letting you know there will be A McDonald's ad and enjoy it. Enjoy it. It's quality.
How about you go to McDonald's?
What if you went to McDonald's and watched this episode while drinking on a delicious crisp fountain soda?
A little fry, little ketchup.
A little nugget, a little McFlurry. This does sound like an ad. It's not. It's not. That's just how organic we are to our partners. It's an authentic partnership.
And so iHeartRadio, when you're doing your best podcast ad award, Keep that in mind.
But actually, I don't even like, I don't wanna be acknowledged by the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards because like the only space in my heart for award shows is the Golden Globes.
I agree. I like, we get snubbed for everything all the time except for the Globes cuz they see true talent. Mm-hmm. Um, but no, and nothing ever bothers me. I don't even remember it. The iHeartRadio Best Podcast Ad Read not being nominated like cuts me deep to my core. And all the other shows that were nominated, like I wanna know which ad you're talking about. I wanna see it.
I have like devastating news to break to you, that in order to be nominated for an iHeartRadio Podcast Award, you do have to submit yourself, and you have to submit yourself per category. It's not like, hi, I'm The Toast, I wanna be considered. You say, hi, I'm The Toast, I'd like to be considered for Best Ad Read, Best Comedy Podcast, like for the different categories. Not only did we not submit for Best Ad Read, we didn't submit, period. Okay?
Which is why you can still get nominated even if you didn't submit. We got nominated for Comedy Podcast. We did.
We did?
Yeah, we did.
Oh. Oh yeah. Okay, by the way, so they saw us when we didn't even see ourselves.
It's true, but like, I just—
Oh, I'm not mad.
I just feel like we invented the category of best ad read.
We invented podcasting. Like, I don't even know what everyone's talking about. Thank you McDonald's for sponsoring today's episode.
And thank you to all of our sponsors in perpetuity.
We love you. You guys are amazing people with obviously amazing taste, and you are a part of what What could soon be a Golden Globe-nominated family, and I think that's beautiful.
Without further ado, let's get into the Fast Five stories that you need to know.
And the Fast Five stories that you need to know are brought to you by A Diamond Is Forever. Let's talk about something that we feel like you really start to appreciate more as you get older, and that's the importance of having beautiful, timeless pieces of jewelry. There's something so special about owning a piece that you know you're gonna have forever and hopefully one day pass down to someone you love What— and I feel like the older I get, the more I definitely appreciate jewelry that really means something. So whether it's a gift from someone special, something you bought for yourself to celebrate a milestone, or even something that was passed down to you, those types of pieces are the ones that you find yourself reaching for over and over again. And with the holidays coming up, this is such a good time to talk about meaningful gifting, specifically with A Diamond Is Forever and their gorgeous Desert Diamond Icons collection. Obviously we're jewelry girls, and I feel like we're always saying like jewelry is so special because as women of a certain phase of life, it fits you always. And I think that that's so beautiful.
And when it comes to gift giving, gift receiving, or even just like taking care of yourself, jewelry can be, um, just like different and, and definitely more meaningful. 'Cause you, then you also think about it lasting forever, passing it down to your daughter or your daughter-in-law. Um, there's a difference between buying something, someone a gift and buying someone something that they're going to treasure for the rest of their life. And that's what we love about this collection. Desert Diamonds are natural diamonds shaped by nature into this really beautiful spectrum of warm sunlit tones. We're talking everything from creamy whites and champagne colors to gorgeous honey caramel and cognac shades. That's what's so special is that these colors occur naturally. Every diamond has its own unique shade, so no 2 are exactly alike. And that makes the kind of jewelry even more personal because you're getting something that is so truly one of a kind. The Desert Diamond Icons collection takes 4 of the most timeless silhouettes and gives them a beautiful modern twist through those warm natural colors. There are diamond studs, an eternity band, a halo pendant, and our personal favorite to talk about, the tennis bracelet.
I love sentimental jewelry. I love diamonds. Diamonds are forever, and it means so much to get as a gift, to get something from yourself, to get something passed down as a family heirloom. There's just so much meaning.
I feel like an eternity band also is like so special because you think obviously like your parents, then you get it yourself. It's like it carries so much lineage.
It does. History.
First of all, I think a tennis bracelet is one of the chicest pieces of jewelry a woman can own. It never goes out of style. You can wear it every single day. You can dress it up. You can dress it down. It's just one of those pieces that always looks beautiful. But we also love the meaning behind the tennis bracelet in this collection. The idea is that every diamond represents a different moment, a memory, or a milestone in your life, and they're all linked together to tell a story. Such a beautiful way to think about jewelry, especially when you're talking about something that you might eventually pass down to your children or your grandchildren. It's not just a bracelet, it's something that represents an entire lifetime of memories. I love that this collection isn't just about giving, gifting to someone else. Of course, we must invest and celebrate in ourselves as well.
Or I have a birthday coming up.
There's something— sometimes we're so quick to wait for someone else to buy you something that you pass up the ability to empower yourself. Mm-hmm. Just buy yourself a beautiful piece of jewelry. So maybe—
I'll be empowering myself.
Yes, maybe you got a promotion. You didn't, but maybe you did. Maybe you reached a personal goal. Maybe you're celebrating a big birthday. Whatever it is.
Booked a new advertiser.
Yes, we love the idea of having something tangible to remind you of that big moment. And then of course, if you're shopping for someone else's holiday season, there's really something for everyone in this collection. Diamond studs are a classic. The Eternity Band is beautiful for an anniversary or celebrating a relationship. The Halo Pendant is a gorgeous option if you're looking for something a little bit more sentimental. All 4 pieces have that perfect balance of being timeless but also feeling unique and deeply personal. Um, that's what we love about creating your own family heirlooms. Not every heirloom has to be something that's already been in your family for generations. Maybe this holiday season the person you're taking care of is yourself.
I'm a diamond stud girly, in case you're wondering.

Thank you, T-U-R-T. You're welcome. Let's get into the stories. Our first story is so disturbing.
What?
Meghan Markle's dad, Thomas Markle, is under investigation for hundreds if not thousands of child porn images. So Meghan—
Like, genuinely, what on earth is this twist? Like, in the whole Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle story?
I know, it's so disturbing. Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle Sr., is reportedly being investigated over hundreds, if not thousands, of child sex abuse images allegedly found in his Philippines home. Thomas's son, whose name is Thomas Jr., allegedly found the materials inside several boxes and turned it over to local police, according to a bombshell report by The Sun.
Can you remind me, is Thomas Markle Meghan's stepdad?
Dad.
Dad. Okay. And then she had a stepmom, right? Why am I thinking it was a stepmom?
Yes. No, her parents divorced, but like her mom is Doria.
Of course we know.
And her dad, she lived with her, with her dad a lot growing up. He was a, a TV lighting director.
Right, right, right.
Um, an insider close to the Duchess told The Sun, quote, now maybe people will finally understand why she has had nothing to do with her father since 2018. So is that why they're not— well, anyways, here's the details that are so disgusting. So I'll just keep it high level. The son was looking through like old stuff of the dad's, looking for a phone for his girlfriend's father, I guess like an old phone. Whatever. And he found images in storage boxes.
Like physical images?
Yeah, buried among family mementos. Um, he, uh, his dad was in the U.S. because he's having like health issues. He's had his leg amputated or something. Um, yes, so he found—
Pedophilic amputee.
He found a 15-minute video of unclothed girls on an abandoned LG mobile phone while searching for a phone for his girlfriend's father and was shocked and disgusted. The victims were allegedly no older than 10 or 11 years old and were seen in sex acts in the video, along with 3 illicit photos of girls about the same age. One alleged image was taken from the screen of a laptop, according to The Sun, and Thomas Jr. reportedly recognized Thomas Sr.'s former residence.
Oh, so he's not only watching the stuff, he's making it?
Yes, allegedly. He was left— he was said to have been left a shaking wreck after finding the images, reportedly telling a friend, what I saw made me sick to my stomach. All this stuff was just dumped on me and I didn't know what to do. He also reportedly said, I knew right away it was highly illegal and would land me in jail for a long time if I didn't get rid of it. I felt betrayed, angry, and disgusted, and realized I had to report him. So he reported the alleged discovery to the FBI hotline, the state police in Pennsylvania where Thomas Sr. was living, And the National Center for Exploited and Missing Children on July 10th.
But I thought he was in the Philippines?
He's living in the Philippines, but I think he was in Pennsylvania.
Where was the stuff found?
Philippines.
Got it. So can the— like, you— is there extradition? Like—
So there is precedent for the FBI investigating some of this stuff. After he didn't receive any follow-up communication when he tried to report this, he enlisted help to remove 4 cardboard boxes and investigate the contents of 3 hard drives. He went through the hard drives, and apparently there was an unbelievable amount of Worrying. And
who is this son to Meghan? Her stepbrother?
Yeah, probably a stepbrother. Um, they found— they said the worst of the worst, like thousands of thumbnail pictures linking to horrible child sex abuse material.
Oh my God.
Like, I won't even talk further about it. So anyways, investigators for the Interagency Council Against Trafficking reported, uh, appointed a task force to look into it, and an FBI agent has already requested the contact details of investigators leading the case in the Philippines. So the investig— the FBI—
I'm dying from this. First of all, this is so disgusting. Thomas Markle, like, okay, like, oh my God, I don't even know what to say. Like—
Oh, and, and per his side, Samantha Markle has spoken.
Oh, right, remind me who Samantha Markle is because she was a main character in the wedding too.
Yeah, she's the stepsister of Meghan who's just like, Meghan's the worst,
right? And she's like a thorn in Meghan's side always.
Yes, and she has said that her brother Thomas Jr. wants revenge,
like, that things Oh my God, what a little spending lying slut. Oh my God, I'm in shock. This story is so disgusting.
Accusation lies. She's calling them lies over money. She said there's no merit in these.
What money? These people have no money.
Implications whatsoever. My brother is disgusting for making them up. He wants to destroy our dad. Shame on him.
No, I'm with the brother. TJ.
My brother first came out with these lies a few weeks ago when the cash from my dad was cut off.
What cash? Like, seriously?
He has used dad as a cash cow for years. Well, he was like a successful
Lighting, like a million years ago.
Yeah.
And he had like that one photo shoot with the Daily Mail. They probably paid him like $20 grand.
I don't think he like lives large.
No, that's true.
He has used Dad as a cash cow for years, and once the money stopped, he made up the most outrageous lies he could to try and make money from the media. There's no proof my dad downloaded any images. Those computers were out of his possession for 2 years. That leaves a lot of room for tampering. These are unsubstantiated allegations.
Yeah, somebody tampered with Thomas Markle's old LG phone and made child porn on there. Like, how stupid are you?
Anyone could have been in contact with those computers over a couple years. Dad was in a rehab facility and did not have access to those computers.
Um, yeah, no, I'm not buy— that's not like a strong enough excuse.
Both white trash, Craig Franklin.
You're literally both white trash. Like, I'm in shock from this story, and to be honest, like, I feel really bad for Megan. Like, first of all, to be even remotely associated with the words child pornography, like, it's just— it's abhorrent. Um, I don't know if she knew or this is— she's finding out with the rest of the world and she's not surprised 'cause he was so crazy, but I actually feel really bad for her. Um, this just is awful.
And I'm sure she's like made peace with the fact that she's fallen out with her father and he's not the person that she thought he was. But this is— No, but that they were very, they were very close growing up. Like he, he raised her for a lot of the time. So I think if she is just finding this out, that must be incredibly disturbing to know that like the person that you spent so much time with at these ages,
Yeah, was doing this.
Is potentially, allegedly a pedophile.
Yeah, that's fucking crazy.
Yeah.
I feel like she didn't know because she has shared so much about her childhood and just like traumas and all everything she's been through. She's kind of become an open book since leaving the royal family. I don't know if this is something maybe she didn't share, but I feel like she would have. I feel like she's finding out with the rest of us, and maybe she's not surprised 'cause she knows he's like a freak or whatever, but I don't feel like she knew, honestly.
I agree. I don't feel like she knew because they've really shared everything, and the ugliest things.
The good, bad, and the ugly, yeah.
And there's been so much like back and forth with her dad that she could've shut him down in 2 seconds.
It's true, it's true. And even if like, if he knew that she knew, he wouldn't have started with her. You know? I agree.
Yeah.
I don't think she knew. So I think she's finding out with the rest of the world, which is like extremely destabilizing.
Yeah.
I feel really bad for her. Like, that's— this is awful.
Really nauseous.
What a fucking freak. Like, seriously disgusting. You macho mo— oh my God, I'm gonna throw up.
Yeah. So, um, I guess we'll see what happens, if there will be charges brought.
And the thing with the Samantha thing is like, it's very easy to prove like whether this was your dad or not. Like, he's gonna be on camera. It was his house in Mexico. So girl, respectfully, shut the fuck up.
Yeah, and I hope the FBI gets involved and gets to the bottom of it. They said Thomas Sr.'s a U.S. citizen, he's currently living in the U.S., may be linked to alleged offenses committed on U.S. soil. Of course. There's a strong precedent for cases and circumstances like this to be investigated by the FBI.
I want the full force of the FBI on Thomas Markle's ass.
Yeah.
What a crazy, like, turn in the Thomas Markle saga.
For sure. I thought we heard the end of Thomas Markle.
You know what, so did I, and I was deeply okay with that. This is not—
I think that we would've heard the end of Thomas Markle if not for Thomas Jr.
And you know what? Shout out to Thomas Jr., a true unsung hero. Mm-hmm.
Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. Um, so meaty, I guess, as well.
Oh, look at that.
Sophia Franklin has shared an excerpt from her oncoming memoir called Daddy Issues. So Sophia Franklin's book comes out next month.
It's gonna be a real—
she has shared an excerpt, um, from the book. Now the headline is that she shares that she had an abortion in college, but the excerpt
is not about the abortion. abortion, isn't
it? It's partly about the abortion, but there's also things about—
Alex, I read this. Alex, can you read all of it?
Yes, including the abortion.
Yeah.
There's no right way to talk about this. I share a lot in this book. Okay, so this isn't— oh yeah.
This isn't an excerpt. This— I, I thought that this part that I read was like her talking to Vanity Fair about the excerpt.
Okay, it just starts. Sophia Franklin writes candidly about her abortion, quote, this is hard for me to say even now. now. In an exclusive excerpt from her memoir, she for the first time is publicly recounting having an abortion in 2023. Then the article starts—
Oh, in 2023? Yeah. What year was Call Her Daddygate? It was COVID, right?
'20, yeah.
Oh.
Yeah, 2023 is recent. Um, it, it just is in italics. There's no way to talk about— no right way to talk about this. I share a lot in this book, but it's hard for me to say even now. Having an abortion isn't like having a public scandal, nor is writing about it. I can usually reconcile the dark corners of my past, but my feelings around my abortion are in many ways still pending, and frankly, it feels very wrong to share publicly. But I hope putting myself out there will free me from the self-imposed exile and shame. When you have an abortion, the take-home packet gives you explicit instructions on what to do if you bleed through 2 pads per hour, but nowhere does it include guidance on the emotional clusterfuck that's to come. I took the pills at home, and weeks later, I couldn't recognize myself in the mirror physically or mentally, and I couldn't figure out why. I felt crazy. I later learned that there's a psychological hormonal neurological chain reaction that occurs occurs. No one prepares you for that. At the time, all I had were Reddit threads and an offhanded comment my friend made to check my hormones months after.
Getting some answers, no matter how disparate, made it less scary. Daddy Issues, the book, is fundamentally a story about being a girl in the world, and I wrote this chapter because I want women to feel less insane, less alone. I want women to know that there are other women having abortions. They're just not talking about it. We aren't supposed to. Now, not in italics, the first episode of my new show Sophia with an F goes number one.
This This is excerpt.
So what was that?
I think that she gave Vanity Fair the exclusive that she'll be talking about her abortion, and this is like her statement on that and like why she wrote— 'cause the book, as far as we know, is just about the scandal, not about—
It's about her life.
Well, I think that maybe people wouldn't— I didn't assume that, and I didn't think that it would be, so especially not something that happened to her 3 years after the big scandal. So I think that italicized part is not in the book. I think it's like her talking to Vanity Fair or like writing for Vanity Fair.
No, I think it's in the book. Okay, but we'll find out. But Vanity Fair really should have done a better job of explaining what's book and what's not.
And so, and why are both of these excerpts a part of the same article?
And also like, give us one excerpt yesterday and one next week.
Yeah,
because both of these are tea.
Well, not tea, but I know you mean both
of these are
interesting.
Interesting. And she's sharing a lot, and so it's like a lot to process and all at once. You could have split it up.
100%.
The first episode of my new show, Sophia with an F, goes number 1 on all the charts in October 2020. But with every following week, the episodes lose their new— newness, I lose my virality, and we trend down from number 1. An impossible standard to maintain for everyone but Alex Cooper's new Call Her Daddy. Alex follows her The Truth About Call Her Daddy video with an episode called The Funeral, a 50-minute-plus monologue on all the reasons I'm the greedy, lazy, male-centered puppet she's made me out to be. be. Any creative muscle I have is still paralyzed by the unshakable notion that everybody hates me. I'm starting to hate myself just as much. I don't want to create. I don't want to do anything at all. Sometimes I'm able to craft a skeleton of a segment on my Notes app, but as soon as it's time to press record and speak it out loud, anything I thought was interesting or worthwhile now sounds dumb and empty. Up in the literal clouds on the 57th floor in my apartment, I get a ping that a comment I made on a podcast made it to Fox News. I've asked the last 3 dudes I've dated for their bank account info on the first I think I have every fucking right to be like, hi, are we on the same level or am I wasting my time?
This is how I sound now— cold and bitter, yet still provocative, or at least trying to be. There's a disconnect happening. Disconnect from my life, disconnect from my show, disconnect from myself. I'm so used to being misunderstood that I let it rock, but I won't accept defeat, so I disassociate. That's the playbook now. I interview guests I don't care about, say things for clickbait, flirt with A to Z-list personalities to score a collab. I hire a talent booking agency, the same one Alex uses, that charges charges $60,000 for a 6-month retainer to get celebrities on my podcast.
Oh my God.
Living disassociated is like walking through the world half asleep. I let my boyfriend Aiden baby me. He holds my hand through this half-life, a boy to keep my physical self company without making me confront my past, my direction, or really anything at all. I take a work trip to LA to guest star in an episode of Selling Sunset, but when I get there, I'm so bloated that I, my cousin, and the celebrity stylist I hired spend all of our off-camera time gua sha-ing my stomach so I can actually fit into the look she When I'm back in New York, Aidan suggests I might be pregnant, which I assure him is impossible because I took the Chinatown version of Plan B. I pee on a stick to prove it. I'm not pregnant, I yell out. Aidan comes in to verify. Let me see, he says. Wait, you are pregnant though, and he points to the stick. So they argue about the line. And I guess this is the— It's
classic, the line. Is it there? Is it not?
Yeah. I wanna get to the part about Alex. Okay, I get back to the States. I guess she went on a trip, whatever. I get back to the States to the news that Alex is launching a new media company called Unwell. I get tagged in hundreds of green screen videos with the original soundbite, my story from my days at Morgan Stanley before ever even meeting Alex, that made, quote, Unwell a staple CHD phrase. Does she really have no original thoughts? She's not only going to use our playbook, she's going to use my bit? My manager comes over and says we have to say something about it, but not directly. I agree to taking pics outside my apartment building, sucking in as hard as I can and pulling up my skirt to tuck in my new stomach. Stomach fat. When I don't like how the pics turn out, we opt for posting what I have from the disposable camera I bought on the Italy trip, a 10-image round of me in a bikini on various boats and in hotel lobbies. We posted the carousel to the grid with the caption, I'm well. Even with the dopamine hit of the post, some people are actually starting to come to my defense.
It becomes impossibly clear to me how much Alex has eclipsed me. The riches, the Forbes cover, the refined beauty, the celebrity guests, the Skims campaign that keeps popping up when I'm mid-bedtime routine. The Miu Miu flats, the husband, the Pinterest-perfect wedding covered by Vogue, the breeded dogs. Her hiring Bella Hadid's stylist irks me the most, for whatever reason. She's entirely surpassed our history, a mere blip on the timeline of her meteoric rise. I know I can't compete with her anymore. There's no chance of getting ahead. It's such a relief.
I just wanna say, this is like seriously fucking heartbreaking. Um, so well written, first of all. Second of all, I have remembered over the years thinking like, I don't know how that Sophia Franklin does it. Like, I've always put myself in her shoes and being like, I'm a podcaster and I've built something with you. And if you ever, not that you would, but like imagining that happening to me. And then that person just becomes so beloved, so famous, so successful. And I'm not knocking Alex Cooper. A lot of that like is on her own merit. Like she did that. Like a lot of people steal podcasts from their partners and don't go on to interview, you know, the people that she interviews.
Yeah, like, um, Bree and Grace.
Exactly. So I'm not saying she's completely talentless, or— but I've always thought, like, I don't know how Safiya Franklin honestly gets up in the morning and, like, is just forced to confront while still being an active podcaster. So if you're a female podcaster, Alex Cooper's all over your fucking feed. She's everywhere. I just remembered thinking, like, I don't know how that bitch gets out of bed. And it actually turns out, like, it's worse. It was worse for her than I thought it was.
Yeah, I think what makes this so good is like she's being so painfully honest, like it's— and so painfully self-aware. And there's no way to really talk about her situation and Alex without sounding bitter and jealous. And she's like, yes, of course, it's worse than bitterness and jealousy. Like, it's, it's so depressing.
And it's almost like the hits started coming and they didn't stop coming, because obviously like the whole Call Her Daddy fallout, in hindsight, even though I feel proud that in the moment we thought it was bad too, Like, it was horrible, but it wasn't over then. Like, the whole Unwell thing is actually even crazier.
Yeah.
It being a part of their lore. It would be like if you went and started something about like physical therapy butt cracks, you know what I mean? Yeah.
We have a lot of lore, every show has a lot of lore, but it's like someone brought it to the show.
Of course, and when we're using it for the show, but when you steal the show, like, that's actually insane.
Yeah.
It's insane.
No, it is insane.
Ugh, she like, seriously, maybe it was also the way you read it. Like, I like actually was almost gonna cry.
It's also the way that she wrote it. It's really well written and it's obviously really digestible 'cause it's not like too—
Super dense.
Yeah, but it's so relatable. And I guess she went through this huge dissociative period, like years long where, okay, we'll take this picture. Okay, we'll do this. Her health is suffering, her everything is suffering.
And you know what? I can see that having been the case. She's just like, 'cause when I think back, I'm like—
I mean, the craziest part of all of that is like you can go through these bad episodes, but like having to show up online every single week to record a podcast every single week about your personal self, your personal life, your personality, and like you are running on nothing is so hard to do. And I actually think she's done a really good job given the circumstances. And the thing— what's such a shame is like, I, I was sad when Call Her Daddy broke up because I thought they were such a great duo. I thought there was a reason that they were so popular because like they really just had it. Like they had the chemistry. Absolutely. And like, that's why I would've liked to see them stay together. But also because I relate to them, I would like to see us to stay together. That's not like—
Correct. You like to see duos.
But they really, like, they both together, they were really magic. And like Sophia had just so much great personality and I, it's such a shame cuz like, I don't know if she's lost some of that, but naturally she would.
Just like when you're, when you go through traumatic things.
But she really is a talented girl.
I know. And it's like people love to say, well, like, look what Alex went on to do. Like, you know, clearly Sophia was the one holding her back. And it's true, like Alex is this like insane marketer, um, and she has said herself she's not a podcaster, she's not a journalist, she's a marketer. And it's true, like so much of the success of Call Her Daddy is like really successful marketing. And what people fail to realize is like the show that she ended up creating with Call Her Daddy is completely the opposite of what the original show was and why it was popular. So it's not that Sofia didn't bring anything to the table, just what Sofia brought to the table was more diff— like it's not a tangible thing. She wasn't like making graphics, making trailers, hype videos, That's what Alex is really good at, and that's what she's successfully done with Call Her Daddy. But that's also why she wasn't able to continue doing like a sex-titillating podcast, was because that was all Sofia. Like, the stories that were being told, like, that was all Sofia. And the one thing that Alex, I think, had like a part of her lore was like the Gluck Gluck thing, and she beat that horse dead.
She was selling merch with Gluck Gluck up until last year or 2 years ago.
Yeah.
So it's not that Sofia was lazy, greedy, even though everybody like hopped on that bandwagon. It was that what she provided— she was the talent. Yeah. She was. You show up, it's my stories, and yeah, you're making the clips, but what else are you doing? Like, sorry, unwell. Like, that was her thing. Remember the story that she said that she accidentally did crack? She had been arrested. Like, it was this— you— we don't remember it that way because now it's like where Kamala goes, but it was this like insane young female podcast where they were saying the craziest shit. And that was all Sophia. Sophia has been to jail. Like, she's been arrested. She was the one living this life and creating the stories out of it. Alex was just It's like putting it in a bow and making it easy for people to find, which is a talent in and of itself.
And editing the episode and editing the clips and like, and the marketing. So that's why I think they were a really strong duo. And like, I think they became the number one female podcast easily
at the time, bigger than Joe Rogan, not just at their launch, but every single, every episode launches, we're bigger than Joe Rogan. No, you're not.
They were, they were like top 3 podcasts of all time overall. And then easily number one. Period. For women. And they got to that place through the way that they did podcasting. And then when she went out on her own, it's like, well, we still are the number one female podcast and we can do whatever we want with it now. And we're gonna make it something completely different.
Celebrity interviews.
But like they got to that place.
Because of Sophia. Yeah. And then like one of, there are so many crimes that are so egregious when you think of what happened to Sophia Franklin, obviously unwell, but also the fact that the first big deal that Alex ever got was $60 million. And at the time, the value in the $60 million was Spotify getting the entire catalog exclusively on Spotify. So a year after they broke up, if you wanted to listen to the iconic Call Her Daddy episodes that had the Unwell, the Baby Alessi, like you had to go to Spotify. So that is Alex taking $60 million for work that's 50% Sofia's. Mm-hmm. Maybe, you know, given how you wanna put value, it could have been more or less than 50%. So that's like an even bigger— and the crazy thing is that Sofia never took any sort of legal action.
I don't think she had any legal requests.
I don't think anything Alex did was illegal.
She— if she, if she could, she would. She signed bad contracts. Her and Alex did not have a contract between the two of them, right? And when she's off the show and fired from the show that's owned by Barstool, that's not her show anymore,
right? And that's like what I say, Sofia was the talent. Like, their only concern is just showing up and making good content and being entertaining, whereas like Alex this businesswoman, less so this star. And so yeah, she knew what things to sign, what not to sign, who to have in her corner, who not to have in her corner. And that's why she was sort of like clug enough to go to the meeting with Dave and steal the show and yada yada. It's really heartbreaking.
But also what's interesting is Sophie is basically saying like, yes, of course the $60 million and like the losing of the show, that's obviously heartbreaking. But what's even— well, what becomes a relief eventually—
Is that they're not even competing anymore.
But also the fact that Like, she's— that part of her story isn't even the biggest thing in Alex's. It's a blip.
Yeah, like Sophia will be known for the call her daddy stuff, whereas Alex, like, we forget, oh yeah, the show started with this other girl.
Yeah. It's like an erasure. She's entirely surpassed our history, a mere blip on the timeline of her meteoric rise. So that's like, that's devastating, but then knowing that she can't compete with her anymore is a relief.
That's like a very honest thing to say.
It was so honest, even calling her beautiful, you know?
It's true. Like, how can you hate her? She's like a perfect specimen. £1, long blonde hair, beautiful house, handsome husband.
Everything is Pargi. Like, everything, you know what I mean? And it's like, to be on the other— it's not even like, oh, she has all this money, she doesn't know how to spend it. Like, no, she does.
She does.
There's not a bad thing to say. And that's even more painful, like, for the girl who was left behind.
Yeah. This book sounds amazing.
It sounds bet— and the tone that she's taken sounds better than anything I could have thought she would do. Or should do.
I really hope this book has, obviously I hope it's a success, and I think it will be, it's gonna be a bestseller. But I hope more than that, it has an impact in lifting Sophia up as a woman in the space. The way that Jennette McCurdy's book not only vindicated her whole story, but made her a star writer, and she writes TV shows now, and she's working with Jennifer Aniston. I hope that the book is successful, but then also more than that. I hope it brings opportunity.
I hope so too. I think she could be a really good voice for women. Like she's so honest. She's so funny. Mm-hmm. Her show is completely different from Call Her Daddy. Like I think always, as much as I wanted them to stay together, there's space for both of them. Yeah. There's a million female podcasts. 100%. And I think she has a unique point of view. I also think that this book should and could be optioned for a TV show or a movie because like the fact that no one fictionalized this drama is crazy. True.
It's crazy. Like what year, you said it was 2020, so it's been like 6 years. When you think back to like the unstoppable momentum that was behind Alex Cooper, how people were just like living for this, every YouTube video she dropped, every time she participated in the back and forth, and then after that like the Miley, every— like there was just— she was unstoppable.
Yeah.
And nobody thought for a second literally about Sofia. Like she deserved this, she did this to herself, she's male-centered, money-hungry, greedy. It's so upsetting.
Yeah. And I'm sure there are people who are yelling, but she wanted 'em. I don't think that the, that what Sophia wanted, that she was wrong for wanting. I just saw her on a podcast and she was saying that how their show was making $100,000 per episode, like in ad revenue. And
they were getting $70,000 a year.
And they, and no, and I think with bonuses, like they were making $100,000 per year. So if you're doing 40 episodes, you're making 1/40th of what the show earns. Generates. And you're like supposed to, like, of course, yes, you sign a contract and you finish that contract, but they were You are such— Stars. An exception to every other contract. So you write them a better contract. Now I also understand Dave is a businessperson, that it's like, if you can keep paying them $100,000, you're gonna do that until they demand more money.
No, but also I thought, I think Sofia thought like, in no world would her and Alex ever not be on the same team. So it's like, there's power. Dave needs them. So yeah, you're breaking your contract and that's wrong, but we could walk away. We have literally nothing to lose.
And it was COVID and their shows were suffering. And he said Call Her Daddy was paying the bills and the salaries of a lot of people at Barstool. They had so much leverage. I
think if Sophia had thought even for one fucking second that her best friend and roommate— they lived together— if her roommate was capable of doing this behind her back, I think the idea that they wouldn't be negotiating together never even crossed her mind.
Never even crossed her mind.
Because sure, you can be big ballsy. Like, it's like when the Friends cast, they used to ask the network. None of them ever negotiated by themselves. Like, they were always negotiating as a team. And they got these insane things 'cause it's like, we'll all walk. But if one person's like, no, I'll do it for less, like a rat, that's what they call when you cross a picket line. Like, of course she would never have done it. But the idea that, the idea that her friend would, would go and do this behind her back was unfathomable to her. So yeah, everyone's like, well, you're greedy, you're greedy. She thought they were doing it together.
Yeah.
It's insane. I will actually, like, I feel if there's a documentary, I would like be a historian on this.
Like, I will never— The, the, so the, the craziest move of the century. Dave offers them each like $500,000 to keep working and shut up. And until they get to their next contract. And Sophia says no, because that is—
Sophia doesn't wanna take it. Alex does.
That is still like not enough compared to what they're earning. Mm-hmm. And Alex goes to Dave and says, I'll take hers and mine. And it's my show.
It's Jezebel. That's insane. Savage.
She's savage. Savage.
She is, and that's why she is where she is. But the chickens are coming home to roost a little bit, especially the turn that she ended up taking with becoming like this sort of like Gloria Steinem wannabe of her generation is just rich given her roots. Gloria Steinem would never fucking do this. So she sort of like bit herself in the ass. Like maybe people wouldn't have dissected it so much, but we've come to expect a lot from her because of the brand she's built for herself. And that brand is based on like women's rights. And it's like, well, what about Sophia's rights?
Right. But also, like, people sort of have eaten it up all along.
Oh, they loved it. Sophia sucks, Alex is great.
And now they're looking back and they're like, oh, this happened in broad daylight. You were all there. So if you, like, saw this and then bought into the whole, like, women empowerment shtick, like, that's on you.
Yeah.
But it never—
No, there is a responsibility to the public.
There is. It's never been Congress. It's always been a square peg in a round hole. But okay, like, we're just gonna keep shoving it in. I
would love to go watch our episodes. We were talking about it every day during
COVID I would love to watch them, but they're Zoom toast.
Oh, unfortunately we can't.
Unfortunately we can't.
We won't.
We can't go back there.
Not only we can't, we won't.
Um, no, it was—
No, I actually need to preorder this book.
I preordered it.
I need to.
And, um, when does it come out? I think—
November.
Yeah.
Oh, that's like really soon. I hope this book is like really impactful for her. Like, it's not— the way it all went down is not fair. You could be Team Sofia, you could be Team Alex. The way it went down was not fair and it's inequitable.
And you're also supporting like both of them. And it is at this point 6 years ago, but this is very recent history. Um, you can support both of them is how I feel.
And that's how crazy, like, the support was for Alex that she didn't think twice about naming her company Unwell.
Yeah,
she like— no, literally nobody was clocking her. Like, nobody was. She had no neg— literally zero negativity. She couldn't even think, oh yeah, I'll take Unwell. Like,
you could call it anything. And also,
it's not even a good name.
It's like not a good name for a a business.
It's like, especially what you ended up turning it into. But just in general, no matter what your business is, unless you sell like vomit, like it's not a good name.
Unless you sell vomit. I agree with like any— you could, you can call it
like Coop
Daddy. Like you can really call a business anything, especially like, especially for what she's doing. She called it Daddy Incorporated, right?
Daddy Media.
But so to call it something that doesn't even— it's not even a great business name and it's, it's not yours and it's like just another shot.
Call it gluck.
Call it anything. Yeah, really.
But that's how untouchable she was. Like, literally nobody, nobody was coming for her. Like, nobody was thinking, this is weird, this is mean, this is unfair. No. So sure, I'll steal that too. It's like when you like pillage a village, you know? Like, sure, I'll take the women. No one's looking and nobody cares.
Yeah, no one's looking.
It's insane.
Yeah.
So sad for the books, for the memoir.
I'm sad as well.
And the rollout with the excerpts to Vanity Fair, it's all giving very high I like it. It's good PR.
Yes. And it is a memoir, so I am— don't turn it off if in the beginning she's talking about growing up in Utah, okay?
I know, you guys know I like hate when people tell me about their childhood, but I'll try. I'll try.
Maybe you could jump through.
1,000%. Let me know what chapter the call her daddy stuff starts.
Just know. But also, she worked at Morgan Stanley. Like, that's crazy.
Yeah, of course. She went to jail.
She went to jail.
She's very interesting.
She has lore.
Yeah, she does.
Um, and I'm sure, like, she's literally naming her, and so this has been like—
Oh, it's gloves off.
No, but looked at by many lawyers. Because Alex will sue the fuck out of her if one thing's not true.
Yeah, it's funny. Sofia never sued Alex, but Alex will sue Sofia the first time she speaks up. That's funny.
Are you ready for our next story?
I am.
Speaking of lawyers, Kim Kardashian—
Well, actually—
Kim Kardashian offered to back out of her new big comedy movie, The Fifth Wheel, after the harsh criticism for All Is Fair. So we were just talking about her comedy movie that she was selling. Because they
were talking about it on Kardashians.
And on this episode of Kardashians, She's on set for the comedy movie. It's called The Fifth Wheel. It's with, um,
Nikki Glaser, Fortune Feimster, Brenda
Song.
Brenda! I love Brenda Song.
And there's actually a lot of stuff on set. Like, they show them filming. Eva Longoria is directing. Then they go backstage and they're like doing their manifest list. Kim has a 55-point manifest list about like her next boyfriend, and then she like says that someone that she's met meets all 55. But it's like, it's so subjective, right? Because it's like things things like accountable, respectful, honest. It's like, of course you think your new boyfriend is those things, you wouldn't be dating him, right? So like, let's—
the list sort of like fits him.
No, and it's like, these are all things you believe about him because of course you do. You— if you didn't believe those things about him, you wouldn't be with him.
And also you believe them because you barely know him. Like, everybody looks good, right?
Like, does his ex-girlfriend think he's accountable?
Correct. Anyway, that's Nicole Scherzinger.
She's obsessed with her manifest list and she's talking about her acting career, all the criticism she got for All's Which 2 episodes ago she was saying how the criticism was so amazing. I was like, yeah. And like, it just made it number 1 on Rotten Tomatoes. We
did it on purpose.
And now she was like, coming off of the criticism, she felt like she offered to drop out of the movie. She was like, do they want me out of the movie? Are they so nervous? Do they maybe not wanna attach my name to the movie? I was like, I totally understand. I'll fully back out. Don't worry. I also wanna be respectful. Like maybe that's the right thing to do.
I'm seriously cracking up that like she thinks the world literally revolves around her. Like nobody cares. Like it was funny at the time. Like, oh, All Is Fair is getting 0 on Rotten Tomatoes. but like no one's like thinking about it that much. No one ever thinks about it. And then you have your Fortune Feimster who's like getting a movie, it's all very exciting to be booked in a movie, is like, you know, I think Kim Kardashian should step out. Like literally nobody's thinking about you that much.
Everybody's in a flop.
Of course, no, and like the main point is like nobody cares.
It'd be like if they said, oh, Glenn Close can't be in the movie anymore 'cause she's on All's Fair.
Well, that's the other thing, like Glenn Close is in All's Fair. If she can be in All's Fair, Brenda Song can be in Fifth Wheel.
Yeah,
this is— Kim's just like so— this is what I mean, they grasp at storylines like a little too hard. It's just like, this isn't a thing.
Yeah, I think they just like wanted to show us her on set.
Fine.
Which was cute.
So cute. And I like when like she brings in other celebrities on her projects who are so excited. Like Nikki Glaser's such a big Kardashians fan. Like with Sarah Paulson, she was so excited to be filming Kardashians. Like, that's fun. Like, that's enough. You don't need to come up with fake storylines.
Like, kept making jokes. I love her ignoring her. Sometimes she would joke, but like Kim literally had her back to her.
That is so rude.
She said she read the manifest list, because first she was reading the manifest list and Fortune was like, sounds like me.
LOL, I love Fortune.
But then Kim said no double chins.
That's mean.
It was on her list. It was on the list? It wasn't just a rebuttal to Fortune? It was on her list. And then Fortune's like, oh, so you're saying no fatties? Like, you, you don't want to say like no one fat, so you said double chin. No double chin. She's like, but I'm out.
That's funny. I love Fortune.
Fortune kept making jokes because they apparently like the Fifth Wheel cast is always like, are we better than the All's Fair cast? Like, because you know how the All's Fair cast is like a family. And Fortune was like, well, they all got to go to Chris's house. Like, are we gonna go to Chris's house?
Literally me.
Like, Kim ignored her.
Oh my God, I'm hating Kim. Fortune Feimster is so sweet.
I think he maybe like is partially deaf. Like, I don't think she was—
Oh please, now you coming up with excuses. Kim is deaf.
It sounds like a storyline we've heard before.
It does.
Because it felt like whenever she did hear Fortune, Fortune, she was cracking up, but she didn't hear everything.
I just feel like—
It's also hard to hear someone when your back is to
them. Right, I would've thought Kim would love Fortune.
I think she does love Fortune, but I don't know why she couldn't just sit more—
Wait, I'm heartbroken hearing this. I love Fortune, she's so funny.
Kim was really vibing with Nicki about the manifest list, just girly things.
Oh, what, Fortune's not a girl?
I don't know if Fortune cared about the manifest list. And
that's why I like Fortune, who makes a 55 fucking point list
And worse than that, on the next episode, she's having Chloe make a manifest list.
Maybe they should invite Fortune.
Yeah, it was funny.
I feel sick from this. Like, this is so upsetting.
You should watch it. I wonder if you have a— I will watch it. Are you ready for our final story?

Just an update, Meghan Markle has released a statement.
Oh wow. I feel, I feel that like she doesn't really even need to. Like, your estranged father's child porn addiction is like not your problem. I really believe that. But I am curious to hear what she has to say.
She said, I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been In 2018, a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection. That letter was subsequently shared with me. It made troubling and disturbing allegations against my father, and I was given assurances that these were being investigated. I hope it can now be understood that despite certain media publications' distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children was for one reason: to protect them. I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families. Although the breadth of what has now been uncovered is more sickening than one could ever imagine, my sincerest hope is that justice will be fully served and that the priority remains the safety and protection of innocent children.
Now, 2018— contextualize that for me. What year did they get married? When did they Megxit? Like,
they Megxit in 2020,
so 2 years prior.
She got married in 2018.
Got it. So around the drama
of the wedding,
of the wedding, is when she found this out?
Yes. Who knows when, right? Before, after.
Holy shit.
Yeah,
that's really heavy.
Also, for his part, Thomas has spoken to the Daily Mail and said—
If he doesn't, like, if the Daily Mail doesn't seriously, like, leave him alone, I don't want to hear from him.
I'm shocked, I'm hurt, and I'm very upset that my son is making these accusations against me. I could never do what I'm being accused of. It's the worst thing anyone could accuse me of. This is bullshit. It's just a bunch of lies. It's sick. I have no idea why Tom is trying to destroy me with these lies.
So an accusation was made in 2018, and then several years later, like, we found physical proof of it. Like, that's actually really all I need to believe it.
Yeah, I hope this is thoroughly investigated.
Yeah, like, and, you know, God hope that there's no videos, and, you know, because that's— that would be great, right? Like,
But I just think that there are, but the question is like—
No, but let's say like he literally made the whole thing up, as Samantha has alleged. That would be great, right? Because that means no children were harmed. But we all know that that's not true.
Well, children have been harmed because those materials do exist. It's just a question of who put—
Whether somebody tampered with his laptop while he was in rehab, right? And that is a very common occurrence, like for people in rehab, their laptops get stolen and people put child porn on
them.
Where the fuck did they come from? Like, seriously, these are— this is the craziest family. That Samantha is nuts. Insane.
Are you ready for our final story? Oh,
I thought that was it. Oh no, that was— yeah, right.
The Knicks assistants didn't get rings at, uh, opening night. They just got empty boxes. So I'm sick from this story. On championship night, the New York Knicks were honored at MSG and received their long-awaited championship rings. However, the assistant coaches were handed empty boxes, creating the illusion that they they had received their rings. During the championship celebration, each Knicks player was individually presented with their ring in front of the crowd. The ceremony culminated with the banner hanging. The Athletic reported that assistant coaches were informed they would not receive their rings during the public ceremony, but instead at an unspecified later date. Additionally, according to the report, many longtime MSG Garden employees would not be receiving rings despite having previously received an email that asked them to select a complimentary employee Championship ring.
So this is the big saga. That's what people are really freaking out about, the phishing scam. So first of all, so these emails— common when a team wins that all the staff gets, and a lot of the times like lower tier staff, but people have been with the team a while, they get like a smaller version of it. They don't get like the million dollar ring with all the diamonds, but they get their own version with their names on it. It's personalized and it's very sweet. So not only is that not happening, but they thought they were getting rings because— and I'm sure you've heard about a lot of companies doing these phishing emails. Like, so people keep sharing how they failed their— it's actually like a funny trend of failed my, uh, and, and when you fail the phishing scam, you have to go to like IT and take like a whole HR—
So the people who failed this phishing scam, the phishing scam that MSG sent out to their employees was about, uh, getting, getting their commemorative ring, selecting their complimentary employee championship ring. They
gave them a bunch of options.
Those who clicked the links or responded to the email were subsequently required to attend mandatory cybersecurity training session.
First of all, that's literally evil. They're not supposed to be so believable. That's the whole thing with the phishing scam. It's like, we're testing you to see if you'll click this stuff. So a lot of girls are like, I failed because I thought my boss was inviting me to a cookout. Like, it's supposed to be like, you're supposed to feel stupid. Why would you feel stupid? Your team just won and you're eligible for a ring.
So there's 2 different groups of people here. One, the assistant coaches who got empty boxes are getting rings.
Okay. Separately, the phishing scam is just like, seriously, mean.
Are the employees.
It's mean.
They were cybersecurity tested by, you know, dang—
I'm sorry, garden employees should get—
No, but it's like, if they're not getting and they were never getting, then do any other phishing scam, not one that they'll get so excited about.
It's mean. It's actually cruel. Like, this is bullying.
Yeah, I don't think they thought it through.
So imagine not only you think you're getting a ring, but not only are you not getting one, you have to attend an HR phishing IT seminar. It's actually like downright evil, and they're getting backlash, and I'm glad.
Yeah.
And I think that they should give rings to everyone. Like, this is such a big deal.
I think they should give rings to like tenured employees.
Agreed.
People who've been there like, let's say 10 years plus. Plus.
Agreed completely. So sad. Mm-hmm. What phishing scam, like how would they get you? Mine would say pregnancy safe Ozempic pill available here.
Oh my God. I actually don't think I could be gotten by a phishing scam because I don't check my email.
That's true. And then if something comes through via text, it's automatically shaded.
Of course. And like by the time I check my email, which is roughly every 3 days, I'm on a need-to-answer basis. So there's really nothing—
That's like urgent.
That's urgent or like fill this that I would fill out.
I almost fell for a phishing scandal like 2 days ago. Unfortunately, it turned out that it was real. I was driving without an E-ZPass for like the better part of 2 years. It turns out I owe the MTA in New York $2,000. We'll see about that. I'll have to fight that in court because I'm not paying them. Like, no.
How much does an E-ZPass cost?
Well, an E-ZPass doesn't cost anything, but they charge you.
So is it how much you would have paid in—
Probably, plus interest penalties and things like that.
Plus I just had to pay interest on a ticket from when we were in Sag Harbor. I never paid that ticket.
That Sag Harbor Municipal Court, they don't fuck around.
I just paid it finally.
I don't think I'll be paying it.
You weren't— you didn't get one because you drove with me.
No, I remember the parking ticket. I will not be paying the New York, um, I just won't. I don't think that I will.
Okay, I don't think that I will.
Literally, I don't think that I will. I'm just gonna cross my fingers and hope it goes away.
Okay,
let's dive into our final segment of the week. Although, just want to circle back, those were pretty meaty.
You know what, they were meaty after all.
Queenie and Weenie of the Week is our final segment where Jackie and I like to just take a look back at the week at a glance, sort of reflect if you will, and we give out 2 awards: Queenie of the Week and Weenie of the Week. They're pretty self-explanatory. Don't be upset if you find yourself being Weenie of the Week one week. It's a 7-day title and it's really not that big of a deal. Let's start out with Queenie. Who is your Queenie?
My Queenie of the Week is the mother of Ezra Frech.
That's a really good one.
Is the mother of Ezra Frech.
Period.
I— do I need to explain?
No, I guess to me, no.
If you don't watch Dancing with the Stars, like, you might not know, but we've been talking about it, so you might know. But Ezra Frech is a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. He honored his mother this week, how she gave up her career to take care of him as a disabled child. and gave him the confidence to become the incredible individual— Paralympian. That he is right now. And you know what else I was thinking of? Not a queenie or anything, just I was thinking of how I'm so grateful that Ezra was cast on this season of Dancing with the Stars. And when I saw the cast, like, initially, he didn't— I didn't know him, or— and it's such a testament to the casting. I know that Dina Katz is the cast— we've met her on SLAMMOO. She casted you on Masked Singer.
She does Traitors.
And the fact that they cast this young man and they saw— and they saw in him what we all needed to see. True. Like, I feel so grateful. It's true that I now know. him.
It's true.
Because he's not an obvious cast.
No, and I kind of like glazed past him when I read the initial cast. I think that's beautiful. I love that. My Queenie of the Week goes to an organization that I feel did just like amazing work.
Us, once again?
Not only this week, but sort of since its inception. I think that they're an organization that, you know, lifts up artists and creators and podcasters. And I've just like for like another week been so in awe of their spirit and their tenacity. And that's the Golden Globes. And obviously I have a vested interest in the Golden Globes, and I'm not just making them my Queenie so that like they make me their nominee. I wouldn't— it's not even about that. Like, it's just about the fact that I really want to honor such an amazing organization.
That's so beautiful.
Thank you.
And so novel.
I know.
I never thought of them that they could be a Queenie.
I did it last week, so—
I know.
Okay. And your weenie?
My weenie. I just think we should leave it at that.
I'm down.
Do you have a weenie?
I always have multiple weenies.
Okay, who?
Honestly, I don't wanna say it.
Why?
'Cause it's mean.
Are you starting to like feel like you don't like want a weenie?
No, I don't have one. One thing about me, I always have a weenie. And I think it's
important that if you don't have a glaringly obvious weenie, like It is heavy as the head.
Like, obviously last week it was Art of Play. Like, some people are just like clearly weenies.
But heavy as the head, and I don't want to anoint someone who doesn't deserve it. It takes away like—
Just because like I need to have something.
I understand how—
Even though after reading that excerpt, Alex Cooper.
Well, it's just an excerpt, you know, and she had a baby this week, so she's not going to—
Sure, of course. No, I would actually never make somebody a weenie who just had a baby. Well, that's our show, you guys. Thanks for an amazing week. I had a great time, and I hope you guys did too, and we'll see you on the next
Love ya,
bye!
