Good morning, girlies, it's The Toast, it's Jax and Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast-five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's The Toast.
They sound amazing.
Welcome back to The Toast, and happy Monday. Hope everybody had a festive and fun weekend. We are your viral podcasters, Jax, Claude, also known as—
Going viral?
Oh my god, we're so viral. Julianne, Derek, Carrie-Anne?
Carrie-Anne.
Oh my god, Carrie-Anne.
What did she say?
Oh no, no, no. We have received comments from Julianne, Derek, silence from Carrie-Anne. And I can't lie, I understand. Like, I wasn't expecting to hear from her, and I think it's for the best that we don't.
I agree.
Um, but our Halloween episode was so well received.
It was.
It was probably the most fun I've personally had in years. Everyone loved it. I feel like we really have, you know, sort of re-cemented our place as the queens of podcast Halloween. And it's just been a great weekend being viral, you know?
Yes, it has been. We had the Huff siblings approval, which meant the world.
And we were worried about that.
Yeah, but I think we did them justice.
Of course we did.
And then we had a fantastic Halloween weekend.
It was a great Halloween weekend. Hope everybody trick-or-treat. I ate the—oh my god, I ate so much candy.
Did you? When I got home from Halloween, I was starving.
When I got home from Halloween, I was going to throw up. Like an actual four-year-old, like who ate too much. And also, like, the party we went to had, like, ice cream and pizza, and like, I was eating churros. Oh my god, I ate—I was going to vomit. I was, like, actually going to vomit.
I didn't get a churro, so maybe that's what stopped me.
Oh, I had a churro.
Because I was seriously ravenous.
Fantastic churro.
Because with trick-or-treating, like, when do you eat dinner? And the kids don't really eat dinner because they're just, like, excited, and they eat a lot of candy, and that—it's just, you know, it is what it is. For the one night, a little red 40 got in there, it is what it is.
I saw Jackie, like, pulling candy from the basket. Nerds jumping clusters? I don't fucking think so.
Just the—the things with dyes in them.
No, of course. Nerds jumping clusters.
Dots?
And nerds jumping clusters, like, are, I think, statistically, like, the worst candy, like, ingredient-wise.
But I'm actually letting them keep the most delicious things. The Reese's.
Reese's.
The chocolate bars, the lollipops. But I'm sorry, like, if I see dots, like, I'm tweaking.
It is the time of year where, like, those videos go viral of, like, either kids acting like menaces or, you know, "the bowl is empty, let me fill it up with my basket." Have you ever seen? It's so fucking cute. And I just want to say, like, Halloween has weirdly become this, like, morality test of, like, ethics. Um, because you see, like, people, like, actually, like, not only stealing all the candy, but, like, damaging private property in the process. Like, in the age of ring cameras, what are you doing?
Yeah.
But then you also see, like, oh, the person who comes after them picking up the pieces to put it back together. It's literally like an American—it's, like, such a classic American tale, honestly.
It really is. It's a classic American tradition. It's so fun, especially, like, with kids and as they get older and they can just, like, appreciate it more.
It's so cute. Like, especially kids. You know what I just want to say? You know what I was thinking about over the weekend?
Mm-hmm.
That episode of Kardashians where they're planning, like, one of the kids' birthday parties, and Kourtney's like, "Well, candy land, but, like, all the candy needs to be, like, organic or whatever." The way I felt, like, such shit after eating candy, I was like, honestly, Kourtney Kardashian's onto something. Like, if you want to have the means to make a candy land theme where everything is, like, made of beets and organic, like, why wouldn't you?
And it's, like, Yum! Earth.
Yeah.
Skittles.
Why wouldn't you?
No, agreed. Because the idea of actually having a real candy bar with, like, unlimited candy is my nightmare.
Insane.
Yeah.
I watched, actually, all the Kardashians. I'm fully caught up. I wish I didn't hear your recap because, like, I knew everything that was about to happen, the sandwich coming in my mouth, and, like, I—
Did you feel the same way about this?
I wasn't able to, like, experience it because I just had your preconceived notions.
But did you enjoy that threesome?
No. Newness.
Oh, right.
Newness.
I tried to tell you!
Oh my god. And Ben actually came in during that part, and I was, like, embarrassed to be watching it.
Yeah.
Um, and Ben was like, "I forgot how much I love this show." Like, we were cracking up. First of all, Chris Jenner, now I'm going to spoil something for you. In the next episode, because I know you didn't watch episode four, they go to Solving. It's, like, so boring. You know, they visit the bakery that makes all their gingerbread houses that go viral every Christmas. Um, and they do, like, a date night, her and Corey, and she's like, "Just can't believe I'm at the Solving bakery." I'm like, "Curl, you can go anywhere in the world." She keeps saying, "I can't believe I'm here. I can't believe I'm here." I'm like, "It's literally a two-hour car ride from your house. Like, you've been to Japan." Like, so then after they go, they make gingerbread houses, and then they go on, like, a little date to a winery. And Chris, what she said, it was so funny, I could not stop laughing.
She was, like, obviously drunk because she had been drinking, and she was like, "I just feel like I'm on The Bachelor." They did, like, pull up to this, like, really Bachelor-looking date with, like, a red carpet and a vineyard, and she was like, "I feel like I'm on The Bachelor, and I just know I'm going to be sent home." Like, it was so funny. I'm like, "How do you know lingo from The Bachelor?"
They love The Bachelor.
Oh my god, Chris is carrying the show.
Remember when they had Golden Bachelor come and Kendall was free?
Oh, yeah. You know, I feel like they go through eras where, like, different girls carry the show. Like, Chloe carried it for a while. I'm telling you, Chris is carrying the show.
Wait, is it?
She gets her own thing now. Like, her own chapter. It used to be, like, the girls, and she would, like, pop into the girls. She got her own thing, and I was enjoying her and Corey in Solving. I was.
Okay, I'll have to watch. I will watch.
It was seriously hilarious.
I've been.
But genuinely boring. The O's Perlman stuff.
But, oh, I love, oh, the follow-up.
He comes back.
I know, it wasn't good, but I love.
And not them making O's look bad.
But, oh, I think they overestimated what O's said.
Yeah, and they also, like, are getting confused. He's not a psychic or a magician.
And he wasn't saying, like, something amazing is going to happen to her. He said she's going to call you and say, "The craziest thing happened."
Yeah, but then he manufactured the craziness.
Right, right.
So you're not a mentalist, you're, like, a schemer.
Just don't even—don't insult O's like that.
Well, they made O's look bad, that's all I'm saying.
I guess. But they also hyped it up so much, like, they thought Chloe was going to get married in a week. Like, how many times do comedians say, "Oh my god, the craziest thing happened?" And it's not that crazy.
I don't know. I don't—when our sister Olivia calls and says, "I have the craziest news," like, seriously, don't move.
You stay standing.
She's so drama. She's always like.
Stay standing.
She always says, "Do you guys want to die?" And I stopped getting excited, like, years ago because she's like, "I just found out this girl from high school." I'm like, "Who cares?" If I say, "Do you guys want to die?" I feel like I'm—I try to reserve my good stuff.
Yeah, but you'll say, like, "The craziest thing just happened." Or, like, and it's, like, Ben getting in a car, a road rage fight. I guess that's.
That is—oh, Ben did get into a road rage fight during Halloween. Somebody accused him of drunk driving. Like, so.
And he spent the whole trick-or-treating.
Talking about it.
Telling the story, but we kept getting interrupted by, like, trick-or-treating. So, like, every time I came back to the crew, he was.
He was restarting the story. Let me tell you what happened. So he was like.
I never heard the end of the story.
He was, like, merging in a lane. He was in a golf cart, and the person—there was a lot of traffic in the neighborhood. Everyone was trying to, you know, trick-or-treat. And so he's merging, and obviously, you know, merging is tough. He, like, swerved in front of the car. You know you're in a golf cart, you think. And so I don't know if he was, like, he was probably wrong for, like, not letting the lady go.
He's aggressive.
Yeah. And then the lady honked at him, and Ben was just so aghast that someone in a regular car would honk at a golf cart person. Because, like, have you ever stood in front of a car when it's honking? It's the loudest thing in the world. He pulled over, got out of the golf cart, and rolled up and went to her window because everything was standstill traffic. So, and she rolls down the window, and she was like, "Are you drunk?" He was like, "Am I drunk? Are you nuts?" Like, he—I don't know how it, like, wound up. I think they just, like, called to quit, and Ben, like, alerted, like, one of the cops, being like, "That lady's nuts."
Honestly, he sounded like he was wrong.
He's—they both sound nuts.
Although you really shouldn't honk. I actually saw a TikTok that's really—did I tell you this about the TikTok that I saw about honking?
No.
It's actually changed my perception. I was talking about this with Ben over the weekend. I'm a big honker. Like, if you do something even remotely wrong, like, seriously, die. Like, I love to honk. And I saw this TikTok being like, "You're, like, one honk away from jail or one honk away from the grave." Like, someone can interpret your honk. Like, these crazy people who, like, carry guns and knives and just, like, literally kill people over road rage, you're one bad honk away from, like, your life changing.
Why jail?
You never know. If somebody, like, came at me, let's say, like.
Oh, you—if you—or, like.
You never know. Like, you just—you never know.
Especially, I'll say, in Florida.
Of course.
You would not want to mess with these Floridians on the street.
No, so ever since I saw that TikTok, I've been, like, really light on the honk. There—and I saw someone else saying, and I have felt that long, people—people have long been saying, like, there needs to be multiple different types of honks.
Well, the Tesla has multiple honks.
Because, like, I need you to know, "Oh, the light is green, and we're sitting here."
Yeah.
"Toot, toot." Or I need you to know, "You tried to kill me, I'm going to kill you." Like.
I guess you can change the length of the honk.
Of course.
One thing about me, I never honk. Never. Maybe if we're at the light and it changed.
Right.
Maybe I'll honk because my Tesla told me that the light changed.
Right.
And your car didn't.
The Volvo does that.
Isn't it amazing? You can really daze off. I could be staring at the light and still miss when it changes.
Yeah.
It's an amazing thing.
It is. Let's talk about scheduling. Dancing with the Stars is on tonight.
Yeah. And I'm recording the Redheads tonight.
They changed it.
So I'm booked and busy.
Because of Election Day tomorrow. By the way, make sure to get on vote, make a plan, grab a snack.
I have made a plan.
Of course. Have you—have you scheduled the meeting with an elderly to take them?
I guess I called Olivia.
Oh. Ooh. And have you, um, gotten your umbrella?
Yes, I always.
Because it actually is supposed to rain tomorrow.
I always keep an umbrella on hand, actually.
Good, good, good. Um, and so I guess they want to, like, not disturb the election coverage, so Dancing with the Stars will be on tonight.
Well, because of election coverage.
Yeah.
Because they—that makes sense.
And I just want to say, I'm so looking forward to Election Day because I haven't even talked about the fact that, like, watching Dancing with the Stars during election season has been one of the, like, great nightmares of my life. I know all the commercials by heart. I know the entire—I know what's going on in Florida. I know every—like, it's insane. I've only watched, like, three episodes here, but I watch live, and it's on cable.
Mm-hmm.
Nightmare fuel. Like, seriously, he accepted $2 million from developers. Like, these people are fucking nuts. Like, I—and there's such low blows.
Such low blows.
Do you see?
The tall of honesty still separately.
It's just, I don't even know these people. And someone else was like, "Republicans hate him, Democrats hate him." And I'm like, "Oh my god."
Everybody hates him.
His mother hates him. Like, I need election time to be over so I can go back to watching Dancing with the Stars peacefully. The commercials are actually, like, nightmare fuel.
Have any candidates stood out to you?
According to, like, the commercials, they're all terrible.
It's true.
They're like, "I'm for Florida." I'm like, "Okay, are you?" Like, it's insane.
It's insane.
It's a heated race.
It's—
By the way, I can tell you all about it.
And the governorship.
Governor, Congress, I know everything. But I'm also getting, like, local city council, and that's really where it gets drama.
Yeah, that's the low.
The city council. They go low.
That's the low.
At the city council.
For sure. Um, no, I do have to, like, make a plan. I was—I'm getting Botox tomorrow, so.
So they'll never be able to guess who you're voting for.
So should I vote before the Botox? I guess I'll have to make a plan and see.
Well.
And, like, on the map, and is it on the way to Botox?
You don't want to, like, overly emote either. And voting can be an emotional experience.
But I don't want to show up with, like, needles. Like, they—will they let—I guess they let everyone vote, right?
Oh, please.
Right.
I've seen some of the craziest people at the polling place.
Yeah.
Oh, and by the way.
That's the point.
The way that, like, road rage, like, shows the worst. When you're waiting in line to vote, I've actually gotten into fights at my polling center, um, over, like, Romeo, of course. People are such narcs, especially the people that, like, sign up to be, like, voting, like, polling place.
Poll workers.
Which is, by the way, I just want to say, like, a selfless act, but it does give them, like, a sense of entitlement.
Of course.
And, like, yeah, I would never do it. So, like, yeah, I guess technically you are better than me, but, like, calm down. We're all equals here.
Yeah.
Like, it kind of just shows the worst of people on Election Day.
I feel like in New York more so.
I've gotten into a lot of fights.
New Yorkers are a tough breed.
And, like, two elections ago, I was in.
And you like to fight, it sounds like.
I was in my first trimester, and, um, there was, like, an air conditioning issue at the polling center, and they were yelling at me about Romeo, and I was wearing this big wool coat, and I had to take a seat. And, like, it was just, like, I have a lot of voting trauma. But, look, I still show up. It's so important.
It's pretty relaxed down here, I think.
It's so important in the US.
But I do have to make a plan. Thank you for letting—reminding me.
That's what I do.
Um, we're recording Redheads tonight. We're reading the new book from Barbara Kingsolver. Does that name mean anything to you?
Does that name mean anything?
It means everything.
Does that name mean anything to me? I literally invented Barbara Kingsolver.
Barbara Kingsolver wrote Demon Copperhead, really.
A book that won a Pulitzer Prize that I also read. Probably the only book I have ever or will ever read that also won a Pulitzer.
And enjoyed.
Oh, I loved it so much.
It was so amazing. So her new book, Partita, just came out.
Oh, I saw you posted it. I didn't realize it was my girl Barbara.
Dana's Choice. I actually had to—I was in the middle of climbing up.
Is it about Appalachia?
No, it's about—it's about a woman.
I need you to stop being so descriptive. Like, it's overwhelming.
Do you want me to tell you, like, the whole book?
No, no, because actually, I, like, I have been known historically to read Barbara Kingsolver.
I'm in the middle of it right now, and it's really—I will wait to see what happens at the end, but it's really less about the plot and more about the writing, and I know that you hate that.
I do.
But for Barbara.
Yeah.
I'll do it, and I'm—I'll give her a wide berth to get to the point, whatever that is.
Whatever the point may be.
Because the journey has been beautiful.
Okay.
And, like, really objectively beautiful. Nobody does it like Barbara.
I—I mean, I totally agree.
So I was reading Calamity Club, but I didn't finish it, so I had to put it down to start Partita, which isn't a great way to start a new book.
Mm-hmm.
But I'm in it.
Oh, I saw a little snippet of Sophia Franklin's blog that went viral, um, where she was basically saying it's been, like, such a crazy week. She's, like, very emotional.
Yeah.
Um, and also, like, some drama giving tea to the, the vlog watchers, us, saying that, um, you know, she's heard that, like, Alex and her husband have, like, really been trying to find out what's in the book, get a copy of it. So now I understand why there's been a total embargo and why we couldn't get copies. Um, I imagine there are actually a lot of people who are trying to get a copy of the book, not just us because we're nosy, but, like, people who have actual vested interest in the matter.
Yes. I was saying on the Patreon, was it? I think we should get an exclusive excerpt. I just want to put that out there because we're doing such a beautiful job of sharing, um, the excerpts, and we've been enjoying ourselves.
I want to ask, do you think we're in the book?
Oh.
We, like, unbeknownst at the time, like, kind of inserted ourselves.
I get—I guess you could say that, that, but I don't think that we are in the book.
When Alex and Sophia were, like, not releasing episodes, and the public thought that, like, they were banding together to, like, get a good deal, we sent them a DM and we're like, "Guys, we love the show. Like, we've been podcasting for a while. If you, like, need any advice."
Mm-hmm.
On, like, how to negotiate, like, whatever, just, like, trying to be nice. And only Sophia answered, and she called us, and she was, like, just hearing what we had to say, and she was like, "Well, what do you think about this? Should we take this?" And we were just, like, giving her our advice, and we never heard from Alex. And then, like, two days later—I forget how many days it was—we learned of the, the breakup.
Yeah, and this is coming from two girls who left their IP in the dust, and at the end of the day, it didn't mean anything because we're the talent.
Right. Like, we had a show.
That's how I saw this.
At a—at a big media company.
That's how I saw their show at the time, because if they had left Barstool in the way that they were trying to do, which was, like, you know, in an uncivilized way and just.
Knock at their IP.
Knock at their social media channel.
Like, to me, the name is whatever. No, if they had just, like, started a new show called, like, Call They Daddy or whatever.
Anything.
Literally anything.
I mean, they had, like, a couple—there's a couple, like, things that they could have done, or even the Alex and Sophia. People just wanted them, so.
And they had continued to release episodes of the same nature of what they were doing. Like, the magic wasn't Barstool. The magic was them.
The magic wasn't the name either.
No, no.
And now it's just, like, we don't even think about the name because we just talk about the show or whatever. But the name itself is—it's not, like.
No, and actually, for what Alex is doing now, the name makes no sense. Like, zero. She should have just changed it. But I think it was more so about getting the social media handles that had, like, a million followers, which is valuable. Like, I get that. Um, so I wonder if we're in the book. Maybe that's why there's an embargo.
I don't think so. I—I don't want you to.
I know. I don't think it was, like, that, um, important of a phone call. Like, for us, it was important because, like, it kind of, like, put us at the center of it. Um, but for the others, like, it was really relatively non-impactful.
Yeah. We'll see. That's eight days till the book comes out.
How exciting.
I can't believe it's November already.
It's your birthday this weekend.
On Friday. My birthday's on Friday.
This week. Oh, so we'll have, like, a little party at the show.
Party at the show.
I'll decorate. Party at the show. Maybe we'll get donuts.
Um, what would I want for my birthday breakfast at the show?
Yeah, place your orders now.
Like, a frittata.
Okay.
It's breakfast. It's Greckfast.
Pancakes.
I don't want pancakes. I don't want to.
French toast.
Not for Greck.
Waffles.
A frittata.
Okay.
But not from any of the places.
Great. We'll have, like, a frittata party.
A frittata cake. That's so cute.
Okay.
And, and, and donuts for folks.
Of course. Of course.
And for everybody else.
For, like, the people who actually want to celebrate.
I would love, like, a spinach and goat cheese frittata.
We will get a frittata cake with candles. Let's write that down. Um, it will be beautiful, and we can't wait.
With donuts on the side. That—I mean, except for dessert. But I need to—I need to eat real food first.
And what do you want for your 35th?
Fourth.
Fourth. Oh.
Whoa.
Sorry, I got confused.
34.
What do you want for your 34?
Um, in terms of material items.
More so, like, emotional, like.
Oh, what do I want for this next year.
For your 34th year?
I want.
A Golden Globe.
Happiness like this forever.
Yeah, and a Golden Globe.
I don't want the Golden Globe. I want the nomination.
Yeah.
I don't want the globe.
Okay.
I want.
So we have to be specific in our manifestations according to KIPP.
Okay. I want to be nominated so that, like, we can go to the award show.
Yeah.
And, like, we can continue this moment.
And, like, take pictures.
It's just been so much fun. It's been, like, really—and I think the first, you know, just real, like, very validating thing for us.
Yeah.
In a major way. So I would love to be nominated so the fun goes on. I do not want to win.
Why?
I—I can't imagine making a speech.
Oh, I've thought about it. Like.
I.
I got it then. I got it then.
I think that we just, like—I like where we're at. You know, it's just, I don't want to be number one.
No, no. The thing is, if you're up.
I told you.
Like us, yes.
I told you this so many times. And I talk about it with athletes with, "I don't want to be number one."
Yeah, we want to be number three.
I'll even take two.
Yeah.
I will do two. I don't want to be number one.
I will take the Golden Globe, of course. I have practiced the speech many times in my head before bed. I make a little joke. I, of course, have already compiled the list of people we need to thank. Um, and if we don't even get the nomination, I will make the speech here live on air.
Oh, that's beautiful. That's—and also, if we get the nomination and we lose, you'll make the speech here.
The speech will be heard irregardless of the results of the of the campaign, okay?
Yeah. And also, I'm wearing a hat today. I just feel like I need to mention that.
I, like, wasn't going to bring it up because it is annoying when, like, somebody tries something new and you're like, "Are you wearing a hat?"
No, I think we should talk about it. I'm wearing a Cord by Mary Orton hat, so it's not just, like, any old.
Any old hat.
Piece of shit.
Yeah.
It's a Cord cap. The quality made.
How are you feeling, like, being inside in a hat?
I feel good that I've done something, you know.
You do.
To just sort of, like, deal with what I'm dealing with, which is just, like, my hair.
It's not working for you?
I don't know. It's—it's just, like, feeling unins.
You know what it's feeling like?
A bit of—Bob.
It's time for a Bob.
It is what it's feeling like, honestly, but I, I fear.
I'm so ready for Bob.
I've—I've really been thinking about because I'm getting a haircut in December, and I also had a haircut last month, so it's not a haircut issue.
Right.
I got an amazing haircut. But it's also a regrowth issue because I'm just, like.
Yep.
I just feel like I'm always, like, tucking pieces away. And people say I play with my hair a lot, and it's not like I have a compulsion. I just feel like there's just stuff going on.
Yeah.
So I put a hat on. I was wearing a headband, but it wasn't even helping enough. Like, my hair—I was having a bad hair day.
It's time for a Bob.
I'm really excited about.
I'm really excited about the return of Jackie's Bob era. Guys, hype her up in the comments. Who remembers when Jackie had a Bob? We were so alive back then.
And also, Shannon has inspired me because she's.
She cut bangs.
Done something drastic, and it's completely paid off, and she looks, like, so cool. And I just.
You've also, like, significantly dropped LBs, and you can just afford to do crazier things with your hair.
But I—but I've.
When you've lost the baby weight.
Considering we've brought up the weight, I would say I don't think I'm thin enough to have.
Well, maybe the Bob will be.
I'm getting my hair cut in December.
Maybe the Bob will be the motivation you need to drop the last 10.
It's more weight. More—oh, so you think it's 10?
I—I think you said, like, last week that you were, like, 10 away.
10 away from what? There are so many different benchmarks I have to, like, the—my pre-baby weight, then the weight that I got pregnant at.
Mm-hmm.
But don't forget all the weight that I gained trying to get pregnant.
And don't forget about that OG BMI.
Right. So I think I'm—I'm now at the weight that I was at when I was all, like, when I got pregnant, but now I have to lose all the weight that I gained while I was trying to get pregnant in those eight months. So that's, like, another thing.
And maybe the Bob could be the thing.
A couple LBs. I mean, I'm—I made a Weight Watchers dinner. What more can I do?
I love Weight Watchers.
I'm doing my best. It's just so.
You look great. You look great.
But anyway, so I'm—I actually am really thinking about it because I just—and I also, like, like change.
Mm-hmm.
As you know. And I feel like every—there's always something, like, new with me and, like, change. And I feel like right now, at this moment, like, I—I guess I just moved. So I don't know. I feel like I kind of need change. I might be one of those people that can't stand still.
Mm-hmm.
Like, the opposite of me.
Well, we could dive into that if you wanted to. What does that mean?
No.
What does it say?
I—what? I don't know. But I guess I've had plenty of change, so, like, maybe it's not that. Maybe I just need a Bob.
Maybe you just need a Bob, like, and it's not that deep. We're here for you, and we fully support. You could always get extensions.
No, I can't.
I know.
No. I—I've come too far.
You have to live with the consequences of your actions.
I've come too far to go back to that way of life.
I've come too f—I've worked too hard in this zip code to go home now.
But anyways, enjoying my hat.
It looks great.
Yeah. It's just, like, fun. And then I don't need to wear sunglasses every second. So that's.
Totally. Um, should we dive in? We've got—what are the stories like today?
Um, like, mindless celebrity fodder, I would say.
Just as I had hoped.
Just what you need.
Exactly.

We're Noble, Noble.
Oh, please, don't get me started. Like, seriously, don't do it.
I feel like we've told everyone.
We told you guys about Noda.
Yeah.
We have, right? Okay, let me say it again. When Olivia was in middle school, and if you're new here because we went so viral the other week, and Olivia's our older sister, and we, like, love her endlessly.
And by the way, we're sisters. You know, Catherine Foster didn't know that about us.
Did you see that, Catherine Foster?
She follows The Toast. I had no idea.
I didn't know Catherine McPhee McPhee Foster.
And she commented on one of her reels, like, I had no idea clue they were sisters.
I'm going to throw up. I'm going to throw up. Um, so like I said, we went really viral. And so you guys might not know, we have an older sister, Olivia, we're always talking about her. Like, she's the best. And when we were in middle school, she had, like, this group of friends. It was four girls. And you know, like, when you're in middle school and you have a group, you have to come up with a name, like, the Six Chicks or whatever. It's Sexy Seven. Well, Olivia and her group came up with Noda. It was an acronym for their names. Natalie, Olivia.
Oh, you want to name them?
Oh, okay. N-O-D-A.
And Olivia.
Yeah, let me not name the members of them.
Olivia was the O. Natalie would be fine with it. She's not.
Natalie would be fine with it. And actually, I saw her mom with them all the other day. Like, we're fine. Um, and then a girl who starts with D.
A D and an O.
We haven't spoken to the D or the A in a while, so, like, I don't want to start stuff. I'm sure they're great. Like, it's all good.
I don't know where they're at.
Yeah. Um, and so they used to, like, walk around, like, and they would say, "We're Noda, Noda." Honestly, at the time, like, I was jealous. Like, it was a slay.
It was a slay.
And it was a great play on words and a great use of language. Now, like, blame. Like, seriously, losers. But at the time, it was sick.
Yeah.
I wanted it so badly for myself. And you know what? They Olivia was, like, so special because she was the vowel. Oh, I guess they had the A too. But, like, most, most people's names, like, don't start with vowels.
Yeah.
So it's like, we're just kind of clunky. Like, C and J.
Yeah.
I can never do, like, cute, like, things because I don't have an uh.
We're CJ.
CJ. Don't you know it?
So anyways, Noble.
Shout out. Oh, yeah.
We jingle for you.
Yes.
Our first story is Hollywood Halloween.
Mm-hmm.
The best celebrity Halloween costumes of 2026. Well, I wouldn't say the best, but here's the.
The Halloween costumes.
The notable Halloween costumes. There were a couple parties. Of course, Heidi Klum had her annual party.
Her branded affair.
She dressed as a disgusting hand.
I don't know how we got here.
Severn here.
With Heidi Klum. Like.
Who's asking for this?
No, like, she, she really did, like, become the queen of Halloween, like, 20 years ago. And she no, maybe 10. Maybe 10 years ago. And, like, I don't know why she.
You don't think she's the queen of Halloween anymore?
No, no.
Who, who do you think is the queen of Halloween?
I think everybody thinks they're the queen of Halloween.
Yeah.
And I don't think anyone is.
I, I believe we called ourselves as such.
Oh, sorry. We're the queens of Halloween. In terms of, like, celebrities who either throw parties or are known for their, like, amazing costumes, I actually did not see one costume this year that I thought was particularly good or oh, sorry. I totally take it back. Queen of Halloween this year, Sabrina Carpenter. Did you see her?
Yes.
She dressed up as Penny Pingleton in the iconic dress from You Can't Stop the Beat. Her friend dressed up as Seaweed, and then her other friend dressed up as Tracy Termlat. Best costume ever. Like, niche reference. I loved it. And she's so Penny Pingleton.
Yeah, she is. It did make me sad, though, like, realizing that Zamanda Bynes.
Yeah, I know.
It's.
I know.
It just then I was, like, feeling sad about that.
You can't stop today. No, as I come screaming down the check.
Yeah.
Yesterday is history. Dream on, and it's never coming back.
Oh, no, it.
So good.
Amanda Patul and Wes Wilson dress as Drumma's Drummer.
Oh, I wanted to say, I'm so glad you brought that up. Um, of course, the comments were like, "I hate you guys. I hate you. Kill yourself." You were supposed to dress up. I thought it was hilarious. And honestly, I've kind of, like, turned the corner on them. That always happens. Like, when people have gotten beat at beat and I'm really more so talking about her. I really hate him. But when people get so beat down, like, at some point, like, I start to def like, just feel like I have to defend them.
Yeah.
Um, and it's like, we can stop cyberbullying Amanda and Wes now. I think the time has passed. They've paid their dues. Sierra has gotten you know, that's how I felt about Ariana Madix. At a certain point, like, you've gotten so many it's a kind of the best thing to ever happen to you.
Yeah.
You're free from this loser, finally.
And a bad friend.
And now you have a career. Like, well, not that you didn't have one before, but you know what I mean. You have, like, an insane career.
A bigger career than you would have had before.
Outside of this.
Had before. Yes.
So, like, at I'm at a point now where it's like, I'm we're done. I'm personally done, like, bullying. And I'm actually genuinely curious to see what they do next. Like.
Yeah. I've been done for a while, uh, and now I think everybody else should really move on.
Be done.
And I agree. Um.
And I thought it was a clever costume.
I thought it was a clever costume as well. Um, the girls were out, Stoss and Alex Earle dressed up together.
I didn't understand their costume.
Oh, my God.
But I think it's like a movie reference. Same with Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi.
What were they.
They're the couple from, um, Prada, Texas, like a movie.
Oh, Prada, Texas. I, I didn't realize that was a costume. I thought.
It's a movie.
I think she was.
You know, they both probably, like, love cinema. Like, I so much newness.
Harry Styles dressed up for Harry Ween. He was Elvis Presley. He was his X Factor audition look.
So the X Factor, that's also he's up there with Sabrina Carpenter as having one Halloween. I would love to know what it sounded like inside that stadium when he walked out in that costume. Like, first of all, so innovative. Great, uh, great execution of the costume. I knew who he was immediately.
Mm-hmm.
I can I saw a video because they brought out, uh, Jaylen Brunson because, uh, I guess the last time Harry did a residency, he got a banner for having done, like, the most shows, 15 in a row. And now it's 30 because he did more. So they replaced his 15 banner with 30. And Jaylen Brunson.
He did 30 consecutive, or it's, like, 15 more than the 15?
That's a good question. I think it's 30 total now. Um, like, he's going to be up there with, like, Billy Joel, who has, like, 1,000. They brought out Jaylen Brunson to do the banner ceremony. And I'm I saw the video. Like, the stadium went insane. I actually think they probably were louder when he walked out in his X Factor costume. I didn't love the Elvis reference only because, like, are you saying you're the Elvis of your generation? Because, like, someone could argue that he is, right? Like, heartthrob, dresses really kind of, like, out there. I think that he could be, like, sort of leaning into him being the Elvis of and I don't think he's the Elvis of our generation.
I don't know who is.
I think him dressing up as Elvis does not mean that that's what he thinks of himself.
Okay.
But I want to say I think he is an Elvis of our generation.
An Elvis.
Yeah. I would have to think of all the major players, but, like, the Elvis-mania is on par with, like, One-D Mania.
Yes. I would say One Direction is the Elvis of our generation.
And if he's the Elvis of One Direction.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't think it's, like, so off. And I think it's, like, a fun, cool costume for a performer. And, like, you get to be Elvis. I think it's, like, just an easy one.
I loved X Factor. Like, that he gets crowned King of Halloween for that, not for Elvis.
Um, Lisa Rena dressed up as Kylie Jenner's orange Marty Supreme premiere look.
I need to know who did her makeup because, like, they.
Yeah, she looked like Kylie.
She looked like they literally did, like, facial enhancement. Like, she looked like Kylie. It was crazy. It was a cute costume.
Yeah.
Not a winner by any means, but cute.
It was. Um.
Indi Navarretti.
Indi Navarretti dressed up as Betty Boop.
Ben Zopper.
Dressed up as Betty Boop and, and made my life complete because we were able to, like, really bring that reference full circle because, yes, that's exactly what Ben looked like.
I don't really even know her that much, but she's, like, an up-and-coming it girl. She hosted SNL this week. And then I think at the after party, because it was Halloween, she showed up in costume, and she hopped out of the Sprinter van in literally re red dress, pearls, and a slick back. Like, she was Betty Boop, but she literally looked like Ben when he took his wig off.
Yeah.
Hilarious.
It was seriously a Betty Boop weekend.
Yeah, 100%.
Great weekend for Betty.
100%.
Um, Pete Davidson and his ex dressed up in a family costume with their daughter.
I've decided I'm kind of, like, China-ing Pete Davidson. I spent so much of my career talking about him. And honestly, to hear how he spoke about women, specifically influencers, merely a month ago, I, I actually unless, like, barring something crazy happens, I'd like us to stop choosing stories about him.
That he wasn't a story of.
No, no, I'm letting you know.
Something to mention.
I'm letting you know, like, if it comes across your desk, unless it's, like, beyond compelling.
I know. I, I felt.
Standing still.
I sent that from you from a while.
Oh, good.
Don't worry.
You know, I like to make my feelings known.
Um, and then our next story, which is some the major news from Halloween, is that Martha Stewart has not had to apologize for her homeless Halloween costume. She said it was insensitive and not funny. So Martha Stewart dressed up as a.
A homeless youth?
Homeless person for Halloween.
A non-binary homeless person?
Yes, a homeless person. And she got a lot of backlash for that.
Obviously, she's like a billionaire poking fun at poverty. Like, the culture is not your costume.
She said in a statement, "It's hard to admit when you really screwed up. My earlier statement didn't go far enough. I know people are suffering economically. Wearing a costume like I did was insensitive and not funny. I'm very sorry, Martha."
Now, it has been a while since somebody had to apologize for their costume.
Yeah.
It used to be, like, every year, we're like, "Who's doing black face? Who's doing, uh, Native American?" Like, we're.
Yeah.
And then people really learned to and it has been a while.
Yeah. And things have been very quiet.
Yeah. So we kind of needed this. Um, of course, Martha is, like, not of this earth. She's not of this generation. She doesn't, like, understand. So I really don't fault her. I also, like, don't care. I, I'm just, like, I'm not in the business of caring about things like this. Like, it wasn't even a good costume. That's the thing. Like.
Yeah. I'm just confused.
Yeah. It was very strange. Like, I was.
Not even of the of, like, uh, of it being offensive or inappropriate or anything like that. Just.
Poor execution of a costume.
Yeah. And doesn't she have, like, people that you know, I don't think she.
No.
Really keeps she doesn't have people.
I don't think Martha has, like, people like that. And what are you talking about? People, like, who, like, run her, her brand?
Yeah.
No, I think, like, Martha's extremely authentic. Like, I think she runs her own Instagram. You could tell her past.
And she just woke up and just wanted to dress homeless. And, and so she did that.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's literally exactly what I think.
Okay. And she's sorry for that.
Yeah. And I'm sure she is. I'm sure in the moment, like, she didn't think it was wrong, and now she gets it. Like.
I also think she's not someone who says sorry when she doesn't mean it or anything.
Yeah.
So I think she's truly sorry. And, and personally, like, I can move on. I don't know how other people will feel, but the woman has been to jail and back. So, like, I just don't think this is going to stop her.
No, this is this is fine. Like, she will be fine. Like I said, it's been a while since we had a scandal like this, and I think people were really excited to sort of, like, sharpen their pitchforks.
Uh-huh.
Um, because Hollywood, like, has really fallen into line.
Mm-hmm.
With, um, costumes. Like, we got the we got the message. We're not doing anything even remotely offensive. And obviously, the memo didn't make it to Bedford, Massachusetts, where Ms. Martha Stewart lives.
Maybe the time when everyone was learning those lessons, like, maybe she was in prison.
Prison jail.
And she.
I actually think her prison prison sentence predates that, honestly.
Interesting.
Like, who was the last person who got in trouble? Like, who comes to mind?
Julianne.
Julianne Huff, you, um, when she dressed up as Orange is a New Black.
Mm-hmm. Lou Ann.
Of course, Diana Ross.
And took down Megyn Kelly as well.
Yes, of course. Lisa Rena and her husband dressed as Nazis.
Mm-hmm.
Well, not as Nazis.
Not dressed as Nazis. They were dressed as people who liked Nazis.
No, they were dressed as characters from a movie.
Who liked Nazis.
Or, like, was a Nazi. But that fact of the matter is, he had a red swastika armband on his arm.
That's.
That's crazy.
Crazy.
Um, but that's vintage. Like, that hasn't happened for a while.
Mm-hmm.
So Martha's just sort of, like, keeping culture alive.
Yes. Yes.
It really is.
I guess so.
And, you know, if we don't learn from history, we're doomed to repeat it, Martha.
Yeah. But it just seemed like it almost seemed like she stepped in it, like, on purpose because.
Because it's so dumb. Like.
You know.
100%.
And we're talking about Martha today.
I don't think she has, like, this team of people around her. I happen to know she has, like, a publicist who she's had for 100 years. They're, like, the same age. Um, I don't think she has a.
So they both didn't know?
Yeah. Like, I don't think she has a team of interns.
And they both thought it was a good, a fun costume.
Yeah. Did you feel like o-overall and I'm glad because I think in recent years, we've said, like, Hollywood does so much when it comes to Halloween. Maybe it was the placement of it being on a Saturday, but, like, we usually have, like, a 20-day lead-up. Everyone's doing photo shoots at multiple parties every night. I felt, like, everybody put on normal costumes from Spirit Halloween.
Mm-hmm.
And went to a party on Saturday night, and that's it.
Yeah.
And there were a couple of good ones. You see the, um, Sprouse House.
I saw.
Dylan and Barbara Palvin have entered their hosting era, and they're, like, now doing a Halloween party. Kendall Jenner had one. There's a couple of, like, classics that everybody goes to. I felt like everybody acted normal, aside from Martha. And it was, like, a very low-key Halloween.
Yeah. It was, like, Friday night and Saturday night.
Except Heidi Klume. Her costume was fucking disgusting.
It was. And I just don't want to like.
I feel that she's in this, like, hamster wheel where it's, like, she started this Halloween party, and I think she started it, like, in good fun. Like, it was supposed to be, like.
No, she's the only one keeping her on the hamster wheel. It's not like the people are saying, "More, what are you going to do next? Gorey." Or, like, "Where's your gory?"
Yeah, why is she gory?
But it's been, like, this for years now where you don't even know who it is.
What she is.
No, who she is because.
They didn't see her.
She's just wearing a huge prosthetic, and she's just an object.
Maybe it's like a body double because you would never know.
Right. And so she doesn't have to go to her party, you mean?
Yeah.
That's, that's actually the only explanation I would accept.
I would just love to know why, like, this Queen of Halloween, who it was all good and fun, she decided to, like, take a turn into doing, like, special effects makeup, really disgusting looking for the last, like, five years. Why? Why couldn't you have, like, continued on in, like, a sexy way or a funny way? Like, why didn't we go for horror? I guess because it's Halloween. It's just disgusting.
No, and I just.
The finger, like, I'm not.
I'm not seeing the demand for it.
No.
Even if it's not I can I'm not even seeing outside of myself, like, anyone just, like, hyping this up.
Well, she makes a lot of money every year from the party. Like, it's always sponsored. She it's like a big thing for her. And I get that, but, like, I, I think the costume direction is awful.
Yeah. We need a new direction.
We need Will Schuster.
Mm-hmm. Are you ready for our next story?
Mm-hmm.
Some Coachella rumors line up.
Oh.
Um, Dua Lipa, SZA, and Tam & Paula are expected to hit the stage this year at Coachella.
Mm-hmm.
2027 may be months away, but the annual concert event in April is already taking shape with some huge acts close to signing, TMZ has learned.
Well, now I have to go. Tam & Paula is going to be there. Like.
Aren't Tam & Paula always there?
Is it is Tam & Paula a band?
I'm just assuming they're a band.
I think it's a person.
And I just feel like every year when we're.
No, Jackie, the year we went.
It was Tam & Paula.
It was Tam & Paula. And now every time we, like, talk about Coachella, we always say Tam & Paula. When I tell you I've never heard a Tam & Paula song in my life.
No. And it's al they're always on the lineup.
He. I think. Is it a person or a band? Like, let's clear that up. I just don't know why. Maybe because I saw him.
He's non-binary.
Oh, or okay. Well, solo act. Man or woman? Man, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay. He. That's going to be an adjustment for me.
You'll be fine. Um, Dua Lipa and who was the other?
SZA.
Oh. Well, that ought to should be really good. Um, I'm not going, obviously, even though this morning I did decide, come hell or high water, I will be seeing John Mayer at the Sphere. I was listening to his new song, and I was like, you know what? I got to hear this.
Take yourself. When does he perform?
Just, like, you know, in my active postpartum era. Um, but I feel that it's okay. And I'm, I'm going to make it there.
April? Is that.
He I think he has, like, a bunch of dates that span between April and May.
Okay.
Um, I'm going to figure it out.
Okay. I'll go with you.
Of course you will.
Because I'll never turn down a trip to Vegas.
And Olivia said she's coming.
Assume you're paying.
Oh, I wouldn't assume that. What would make you assume that?
Because, like, it's your big trip and, like, your dream.
Oh, that's interesting.
And you're putting this together. So sure.
Oh, I, I wasn't putting anything together. I said I'm going.
Anticoach, he's smart.
It's interesting. Maybe we'll have to make it, like, a business expense. We'll figure out a way to sort of expense it to the expense account.
I'll treat to a dinner. Don't worry.
Um, this is not a Coachella that feels that I need to be at.
I don't know that that's.
I do think I have seen my last Coachella.
I don't know that there's anything that I need to be at.
Well, if Taylor was going to.
You would go?
I think I would. I would have to.
Okay.
Sort of, like, for research purposes.
But still, then you'd be at Coachella.
You're telling me. Um, I have to figure it out, but I would get there. Like.
Really?
If Tay that's probably the only person.
I don't think there's anyone that would get me to go, aside from, like, a work obligation.
Mm-hmm. Aside from a check.
Okay. A big fat check.
Check.
That I can use to fund my trip to Vegas.
Yeah, right.
Um, I don't think there's any even, like, Kelly Clarkson or even Rascal Flats because, like, I'm not going to cross the country and go into.
It's such a journey.
And put myself in that position.
Yeah.
That precarious position when I can just wait, like, for whatever next time is going to be.
Yeah. With Taylor, you never know. So I think.
With no, no, no. I'm sorry. With Taylor, you know, she will be doing live shows once again in.
At some point, yes. But I think we're past the whole album tour, album tour, album tour.
Of course.
Lifestyle.
But, like, she will do shows again. With Rascal Flats, you never know because they keep threatening us.
Right. Same with Mezzaluna, my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Did you hear about this? Every time last time I came to Florida last winter, news, Mezzaluna's closing down. Of course. I've been eating there since high school. The community was enraged. I guess, like, they banded together. Something with the landlord. I don't know. There was, like, a like, a rental dispute. Then they were like, "Oh, never mind. We're staying open." I was like, "Okay." And then, of course, I realized as to how important this restaurant was to me. So I've been eating there, like, probably three or four times a week.
Putting your money where your mouth is.
Yeah. Then again, I see, like, on this Upper East Side news, it's like, "Mezzaluna closing again." I'm like, they're honestly the boy who cried Mezzaluna the boy who cried closing because I think they got a lot of business the last time they told everyone they were closing.
Oh.
But I actually think on Sunday they closed. Yesterday.
You think it's because you haven't been there to support?
No. Um, I wasn't the only person who clearly had a renaissance with the restaurant. It was a restaurant that was, like, very popular when we were growing up. And, like, it slowed down. You know, trends come and go. But it's just good. And then I think when, you know, the threat of them closing really upset people. So every time I've been since, it's insanely packed.
Mm-hmm.
Sometimes I have to just order it for pickup. Um, but I do believe yesterday it was laid to rest. And I just want to say, like, a glorious Manhattan institution. It's devastating to think about.
I'm sorry you're going through that.
Thank you.

Today's episode is also brought to you by HomeServe.
Yes, it is. HomeServe is like a subscription for your home. For as little as $4.99 a month, they've got your back. Regular homeowners' insurance usually doesn't cover a lot of the day-to-day wear and tear, plumbing failures, HVAC breakdowns, electrical issues. It's super simple. With HomeServe, you choose a plan for your needs and budget, and when something on your plan goes wrong, just call their 24/7 hotline to start the repair process. So it's really a great resource as a homeowner because all these things come up all the time. Like, it's unfortunate.
Mm-hmm.
But inevitable? Question mark?
Question no. Period.
Period. Unfortunate, but at least there is HomeServe. So a home protection plan from HomeServe is different than everything else because, as in homeowner, an emergency repair is near certainty at some point, and starting at just $4.99, a plan from HomeServe could save you the big bucks. That'll buy you a lot of stuff. Perhaps a trip to Vegas with your sister. Your next costly home repair could be coming. I'm sorry to say that. Act now.
A threat, honestly, to promise.
Ugh. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you. Act now, but I'm excited to be the one to give you this discount because act now and get protected before a breakdown with a plan through HomeServe. For 50% less your first year, go to homeserve.com/thetoast to find the plan that's right for you. That's homeserve.com/thetoast. For 50% less, savings compared to renewal price void in Florida.
Thank you, Your Honor.
Thank you, HomeServe. Thank you, TertServe. Thank you, JertServe.
And that's the way Jert sees it.
Our fourth story, Jessica Beal is teasing a bold new direction for the Seventh Heaven reboot.
Oh, I have chills.
No limitations.
Well, actually, there is a limitation because your dad's in jail.
Yeah. So Jessica Beal.
My pedophilia.
Is teasing a few of the changes to the new Seventh Heaven reboot. During a recent episode of Collider Ladies' Night, the actress shared an update on the series, which is in early development at CBS Studios. What we want to create, how we want to modernize it, is really the things that are happening for teenagers and families that have teenagers all the way down to the youngest child. Technology-based issues.
Right.
School stuff, bullying, sex, drugs.
Cyberbullying, yeah.
Alcohol. All of those things we want to address in a very real way, which is, I think, what the original kind of gently touched on, but we were very careful about what our audience wanted.
Right.
We had a lot of limitations. We have less limitations now.
Okay. I was going to make fun of this, but let me just say, there actually isn't a show on TV right now.
That's the news.
Like, so at the time and I don't even think I knew it, but now when I go back and watch, I'm like, oh, this show was, like, so weird. But it was kind of like a PSA.
Mm-hmm. An after-school special.
Wrapped in a soap opera. So we were, like, supposed to fall in love with these characters and, like, relate to them at different ages. But they every episode, like, tackled a difficult subject. Of course, who could forget when the brother became addicted to those vitamins that gave him lots of energy at basketball practice? Like, that was their take that's what she's talking about, limitations. Like, that was their take on drugs, right?
Mm-hmm.
Um, because he was literally just taking vitamins, but the vitamins he overdosed on and, like, went to the hospital? Okay. Um, and it was all it was, like, a faith-based show. So it was, like, the dad was a pastor. Um, now, of course, when I think of Seventh Heaven, I can only think about the fact that that f said father, the actor's in prison because he was touching little boys, which is.
Which is shocking. And, and so, like.
Not on Bread and 7th Heaven.
Incongruous.
They probably had an episode on that.
Right. Meanwhile.
There. He probably wrote the episode from personal experience.
Yeah.
So I don't think he would have been a part of it anyway because it sounds like maybe Jessica Beal's going to be the mom.
Who even knows what the setup will be. But a show.
Beverly Mitchell?
A show that tackles, you know, issues that children and teenagers are going through. It's very also, like, Degrassi a little bit. Degrassi was a more mature version.
Degrassi was very advanced.
But there is no show that I'm aware of that's doing that right now. So there is a gap.
Yeah, there is. Even though kids these days are just, like, more mature and, like, faster.
Mm-hmm.
And, like, they're watching shit on Netflix. Like, they would never watch this. But, like, for us, it was, like, our only form of entertainment.
But if it's a good show.
Yeah.
If they can make these messages wrapped up into a good show, it is possible.
This is, like, kind of a worthy effort not to be, like, such a mom, but, like, I kind of love this if it's not, like, cringe and bad and, like, kids will actually, like, be receptive to it.
She said as a mom, she's looking for what she can watch with her kids on TV.
Right.
It's limited. I cannot watch a lot of these things with them. And they love TV, and it's my business. My husband and I are in this business together doing these things, and we can't share a lot of that with our kids.
Right, right, right.
Because everything is so inappropriate.
Right.
She said, "I think the idea of whatever faith you want to have, that's important."
Sure.
That we don't have a lot on television, whether you believe that or you go down that road or not. So vague. Like.
Yeah. Now she's lost me.
No. And it's like she won't just say, like, she wants to make a religious show.
A Christian faith-based show.
Or she doesn't. I don't even know what she wants.
Yeah.
There are a lot of people that really.
Well, because the thing about Seventh Heaven is that, like, it's not about religion. Like, yes, they were this religious family. The dad was a pastor. But, like, we watched it, and, like, I didn't think anything about.
No, but religion is, like, a tentpole in their life.
Or, like, values.
And for, like, morality.
Mm-hmm.
Yes. She said there are a lot of people that really do want to walk down that road.
Yeah.
What? Be religious. Just say be religious.
Yeah, she's being vague.
So I think some kind of faith, some kind of family community, and maybe something not so jaded, like something a little bit more glass half full. It's not that soft because it's realistic. Okay. Well, you're going to have to, like, you know, just say some stuff.
Yeah. Well, I.
And, like, be religious if you want to be.
My take on this from the second you started speaking completely changed.
It's a slay?
Kind of a nice idea. It's a little idyllic to think that, like, any kids would watch it. But, yeah, if they wrap it up in, like, a sort of, like, Gen Z cool girl, clean girl aesthetic, like, maybe they would watch it.
Maybe.
The kids kids I saw a lot of Ring doorbell footage.
And maybe the younger kids would watch it. Like, maybe teenagers won't.
Yeah.
Maybe teenagers didn't watch Seventh Heaven, but the age that we were when we watched it.
We were preteen.
Yeah. And it's like you're not watching the raciest stuff yet.
No.
So I think if it's, like, you know, sort of Riverdale-ish.
No, but I think they are watching the raciest stuff. That's what I mean.
Well, that's a problem.
They have just unlimited access to the whole world.
Well, you can put they're parental control.
Yes, of course.
People do.
Of course. They do.
And not everyone's watching unlimited stuff.
No, but I think, like, when you have a cell phone, it just gives you access to, like.
Not everyone has a cell phone.
Yeah. Well, I think this is a worthy cause. I do.
I think so, too. Um, like, I'm s like, Gerda nervous for all these episodes because there's so much, like, ba like, bad, dark.
Well, yeah, they have lots of material to cover.
Unfortunately.
Yeah.
And I think it's.
Of course, like, cyberbullying, mental health.
Mm-hmm.
School shooting.
Got it.
Ones that, like, new issues that they probably didn't cover in past seasons.
Mm-hmm.
You know, there was a school shooting on Degrassi. That's how Drake ended up in the wheelchair, of course.
Mm-hmm.
Um, there was a school shooting on Glee. Actually, there was never actually the shooting. It was Sue Sylvester's gun that accidentally went off. There was also a school shooting in Montreal. So they kind of covered the bases with, like, the OG shows. But there are lots of new problems that, like, kids these days.
There are a lot of new problems that kids are facing.
Like, you know, just the impacts of editing your photos, you know, things like that.
Yeah.
Uh, the of course, like, the Snapchat nude leaks, things.
Revenge porn.
Revenge porn. Oh, my God. I have such a pit for kids these days.
I know. Our fifth and final story.
Mm-hmm.
Not to the news gets worse, Claudia.
What?
Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Doraon Hudson, broke up a year ago despite recent appearances together. So the streets are saying Bill and Doraon have called it quits and that they did a while ago. They broke up a year ago, people confirms. As a reminder, he is 74 and she is 25.
Thank you for the reminder.
TMZ was the first to report their split. Bill and Doraon ended their relationship late last year, but continued to be committed to their business partnerships and remain close friends.
Oh, of course, their business partnerships. Let me say this. It's devastating to see a love lost, always. But I think the real tragedy here is that, like, does this end Doraon Hudson's, like, public life?
Mm-hmm.
Because, like, will people continue to care about what she does, says, post when she's not dating Bill Belichick? Like.
Let me tell you something. Doraon Hudson will be on the next season of Dancing with the Stars. They love a Doraon.
I love that.
They and all the.
Even I think the show has, like, elevated a little bit beyond her.
They no, they're still there. We just happen to be watching, and this happens to be a season where there hasn't been a really controversial person.
Mm-hmm.
But they went Anna Delvey.
Mm-hmm.
They went Hilaria.
Mm-hmm.
They have had political people.
Sean Spicer.
Sean Spicer.
Did they have Scaramouche?
I don't know if they had Scaramouche, but Tucker Carlson did it.
Yes, but Tucker Carlson did it back in the day when he was.
When he was just like a pro.
He was an NBC, but he was not considered controversial.
But still. But still.
But still, yeah.
They like to mix it up.
Yeah. Doraon for Duetist when?
I stand.
I think.
That.
I'm actually people obviously.
Maybe she'll be on our season. Maybe we'll be friends.
Maybe. People obviously, you know, talk about the couple, Doraon and Bill, as, like, you know.
A great love.
No. Well, of course. But beyond that, like, as you know, a big age dynamic, power dynamic, oh, but, like, when they talk about the power dynamic, they're talking about, like, she's in charge. Like, I don't.
Yeah.
So I actually think this is good for Bill.
She's grooming him.
Yeah. I think Bill is, like, free from his groomer. And I, I feel excited for him, like, to be able to relax a little bit. It's crazy how Bill Belichick's reputation was literally destroyed in a matter of, like, one year. Not even Doraon. Like, there was a lot of things. Obviously, Doraon was icing on the cake, but, like.
The shirt.
Like, what? He was the most.
The shirt.
Like, well, it was the shirt. The most well-respected coach in football. Like, he could have retired. Like, he should have retired. Um, like, what? And now she's just, like, leaving him to pick up the pieces. I kind of love that.
I don't know what's going on, honestly.
Me neither. I can say, honestly, I don't know what's going on.
And I know that we all have this narrative that, like, she's manipulating him.
Mm-hmm.
And, like, isolating him from his children.
Mm-hmm.
Um, very married with Blake.
Very you know, she's, like, kind of taking control of his business and his memoirs.
I just I don't know if that that's true. Like, maybe she is suffering.
Oh, you know what?
Maybe Doraon is hurting.
Oh, you want, like, the secret life of Doraon. Like, maybe her memoirs are next.
I don't know. But I think what if anybody out there is listening, like, her on Dancing with the Stars is.
A dream.
Yeah.
I agree. I wanted to say something else about Halloween. Um, I wanted to talk about Chanel from Today's Show with Jenna and Chanel.
Okay.
She dressed up as a raquette.
Love.
And she brought the raquettes, and they did a performance. And she honestly was really good. And it reminded me that she did the Midnight Sun dance with Zara Larsen. And I feel like when they selected her, I was a little underwhelmed, mostly because I was rooting for Justin Sylvester. And I stand by that.
I was only underwhelmed because it felt like she had the job the entire time, and she was so the obvious choice that what were we doing with everyone else?
And to be honest, I actually didn't know her. Like, I hadn't heard her name prior to her selection. So I just felt like the whole thing was, like, a waste of time.
It was a waste of time because it was always her job.
Yeah, right. And I feel that I need to say, like, how wrong I was because every time I I don't watch a Today's Show. I never did. But I see a lot of clips, and she's kind of incredible. And I want to say she's like kind of eclipsing Jenna, too. Like, sh the celebrities love her. She al would love to put herself out there. Like, she got in the raquette costume and did the dance and then the Midnight Sun dance. Like, I just kind of love her, and I want to say I was wrong.
I feel like we already said that.
Oh, okay.
Yeah. I feel like when we did Midnight Sun, we were just like.
Yeah.
She's everything. She has the exact right energy.
Yeah.
She's a breath of fresh air.
She's a breath of fresh air.
The, the show is just, like, seamless, and it, it, it almost feels like it was always them, which is how it should feel. It shouldn't be, like, this huge announcement every time we've seen this person.
It's just huge to me.
On TV or just, like, remembering.
Mm-hmm.
And I think it's as good as it, like, could ever be when you're trying to replace someone.
Because this.
That's otherwise irreplaceable.
The Today's Show actually did, like, a really cute Halloween episode where, like, it was all about NBC. They had Kenneth the Page. Savannah was dressed as a page. They, like, honored all the different NBC, including the raquette, which is why Chanel was dressed. It was actually very well executed. Um, and it reminded me that, like, she's kind of amazing. Like, I love her. And I think she, like, cries a lot on the show because, like, she's been through this great trauma, and people really connect with that. Um, so she was kind of, like, the answer.
She's open. She's fun. She's, like, everything you want.
In a morning show host.
The person in your home every day to be.
Person.
Like, like us.
Exactly like us. That's exactly what people say about her.
Open, fun, love.
You know, there's another podcast, like, saying that shit about us right now.
Oh.
For sure.
Oh.
And that podcast is the red hat.
And that podcast is us.
Yeah, right. Of course.
Saying it about us.
