Episode summary

Jackie and Claudia Oshry open their Tuesday edition of The Toast with Election Day chatter and a pet-related scare, then move into the week's entertainment stories. They recap the Disney night on Dancing With the Stars, debating team dances, judging scores and contestant choices.

They then cover the CFDA Awards and fashion-week style, a reported four-part Justin Timberlake docuseries on Apple, the divorce of an H3 podcaster, and Olivia Rodrigo's first holiday single. Listeners get a lively, opinionated take on each story, with the hosts often disagreeing about what the news means.

In this episode Claudia Oshry, Jackie Oshry

Speaker 100:00:04

Good morning, girlies, it's the Toast. It's Jax and Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast-five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly: it's the Toast.

Claudia Oshry00:00:23

They sound amazing.

Jackie Oshry00:00:25

Welcome back to the Toast, and happy Tuesday, happy Election Day. Who are you choosing? Because I choose you, Foley. Today, tomorrow, every lifetime.

Claudia Oshry00:00:33

Why, thank you, codegers.

Jackie Oshry00:00:34

That's beautiful. Who are you voting for?

Claudia Oshry00:00:36

Um, I'm probably voting for—if I'm being—like, let's be really honest, okay? I'm probably voting for Selena Meyer. I think she's running on, like, a really, um—

Jackie Oshry00:00:46

Strong platform.

Claudia Oshry00:00:46

Strong platform. I'd love to see a woman. A woman. I'll see myself ask, honestly.

Jackie Oshry00:00:51

It's so Selena Meyer.

Claudia Oshry00:00:52

I would love—yeah, I'd love to see a woman in business and in politics. And she has such a strong record of just, you know, being that bitch.

Jackie Oshry00:01:00

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:01:01

So, Meyer 27.

Jackie Oshry00:01:02

I love that. You know what I was thinking about this morning? I was thinking about what I was going to wear, and I feel like for a few years there, like, Election Day was so crazy. I remember if I had my nails painted a certain color—

Claudia Oshry00:01:13

Oh my god, people thought it was like a virtue dog whistle, they say.

Jackie Oshry00:01:16

Like, red or blue. I remember—and your sweater is reminding me—I remember Kim Kardashian.

Claudia Oshry00:01:20

Oh, that's a maroon.

Jackie Oshry00:01:21

Kim Kardashian posted a selfie on Election Day, like, "Go vote," whatever. And she was wearing, like, a maroon—literally that colored shirt, so people thought it was.

Claudia Oshry00:01:29

It was subliminal.

Jackie Oshry00:01:30

A Republican dog whistle. She had to delete it and repost it in black and white. And I feel good because I think that we're past that a little bit.

Claudia Oshry00:01:39

You and I, or society?

Jackie Oshry00:01:40

I feel like society—or maybe you and I have, like, stopped listening to that sort of stuff.

Claudia Oshry00:01:44

No, I think we used to—

Jackie Oshry00:01:44

But here I am, ping.

Claudia Oshry00:01:45

We used to have, like, a type of audience that was, like, really woke and, like—

Jackie Oshry00:01:50

Because your cup is red.

Claudia Oshry00:01:52

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:01:52

Your shirt is reddish.

Claudia Oshry00:01:55

I bleed blue.

Jackie Oshry00:01:57

You do?

Claudia Oshry00:01:58

What does that mean?

Jackie Oshry00:01:59

That you're a big Democrat.

Claudia Oshry00:02:01

Oh, is that what that means? Oh, I'm cracking up. I thought it was, like—oh, it's like you're red-blooded.

Jackie Oshry00:02:06

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:02:08

This is—this is a trick, okay? I don't want any part of this. I seriously—just leave me out of it, okay?

Jackie Oshry00:02:13

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:02:13

I just am here to entertain.

Jackie Oshry00:02:15

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:02:16

Is that okay? No, it's not, actually.

Jackie Oshry00:02:18

So anyways, yes, I feel good in knowing that I can just, like, make the choices that I want to make, even though they are very agnostic today, and that people aren't reading into it too much.

Claudia Oshry00:02:26

Yeah, like, who could forget when we made chili with guaya beans?

Jackie Oshry00:02:29

Who could forget?

Claudia Oshry00:02:30

And, you know, at the time, I think a lot of people thought that that was, like, a very, um, intentional political strategic move on our part, when actually they are just the best beans.

Jackie Oshry00:02:39

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:02:39

So times were crazy. I think some corners of the internet still operate, like, in that sort of, like, woke mindset. I—I think as a society, generally, we have moved on to a more normal place.

Jackie Oshry00:02:50

Yeah, and as a toast society, I think.

Claudia Oshry00:02:52

We don't engage in behaviors like that. We're all here to have fun.

Jackie Oshry00:02:54

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So get out the vote.

Claudia Oshry00:02:58

So important.

Jackie Oshry00:02:59

I have a loose plan. It's very loose. It depends what time we end this show.

Claudia Oshry00:03:03

Does it include an elderly friend and a snack?

Jackie Oshry00:03:06

It includes Botox.

Claudia Oshry00:03:08

What?

Jackie Oshry00:03:09

I have to get my Botox.

Claudia Oshry00:03:11

Okay.

Jackie Oshry00:03:11

So it's like, if we end the show and I can vote before my Botox, that's my plan. If we end late, which we probably will, because it's Dancing With the Stars, I'll have to go after my Botox.

Claudia Oshry00:03:20

Yeah, today's going to be a big show. Disney night on Dancing With the Stars.

Jackie Oshry00:03:23

Yes.

Claudia Oshry00:03:24

And an elimination. No one's outcoming except for us.

Jackie Oshry00:03:27

Except for us, that we prayed for.

Claudia Oshry00:03:29

That we prayed for, and—

Jackie Oshry00:03:30

I don't want to bully.

Claudia Oshry00:03:31

No, and I don't want to kick someone while they're down.

Jackie Oshry00:03:32

I'm not.

Claudia Oshry00:03:32

I was actually shocked of all the weeks where, like, I really felt like she needed to go home. Like, honestly, last night wasn't it.

Jackie Oshry00:03:37

I know, but really, who else?

Claudia Oshry00:03:38

Everyone did so good.

Jackie Oshry00:03:39

We'll get into the stories. I also meant to tell you I was supposed to see you last night, but then I didn't.

Claudia Oshry00:03:42

Uh-huh.

Jackie Oshry00:03:42

Um, Bruno had another brush with death yesterday. He used up another one of his lives.

Claudia Oshry00:03:46

Well, we do need to start keeping count, because I do believe we will max out at around 9 or 10.

Jackie Oshry00:03:52

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:03:52

What do you think we're at? Like, 5?

Jackie Oshry00:03:54

Um, let me count the ways. So.

Claudia Oshry00:03:56

The dark chocolate, obviously, was a big scare.

Jackie Oshry00:03:58

The sour patched watermelon.

Claudia Oshry00:04:00

The chicken bone.

Jackie Oshry00:04:01

The chicken bone. That came with.

Claudia Oshry00:04:03

Oh, over the summer when we stayed in East Hampton, remember? And he was, like, vomiting, and we had—he had.

Jackie Oshry00:04:07

Pancreatitis.

Claudia Oshry00:04:08

Pancreatitis.

Jackie Oshry00:04:08

The pancreatitis, the great pancreatitis of East Hampton.

Claudia Oshry00:04:10

Of 2024?

Jackie Oshry00:04:11

Yes.

Claudia Oshry00:04:11

So it's 4. And then last night, whatever you're going to tell me.

Jackie Oshry00:04:14

And then last night, 5.

Claudia Oshry00:04:15

5.

Jackie Oshry00:04:15

Yesterday. Um, so we were cleaning out the high chair, and a couple of raisins fell to the ground, and before we could pick them up, one Bruno swiped them.

Claudia Oshry00:04:24

You know what's so funny? I've been meaning to actually ask you about that mother-to-mother. Um, we've recently entered our raisin era. Such a great snack.

Jackie Oshry00:04:31

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:04:32

And of course, we don't really do grapes because we have a dog, and grapes are toxic to dogs. And it literally didn't even occur to me that there were raisins all over the floor. Romeo actually sniffed it and walked away. He's not a—Romeo's not a big eater. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:04:45

He's a self-preservationist.

Claudia Oshry00:04:47

And then I was thinking, does it pose the same threat?

Jackie Oshry00:04:50

Yes, very much so.

Claudia Oshry00:04:51

So what did you do with Bruno?

Jackie Oshry00:04:52

So we had to call up our CDI, our SPCA Poison Control. Um, they went through the stats. We weren't sure if it was 2 or 3 raisins. If it were 2, he could have just passed them.

Claudia Oshry00:05:06

But 3.

Jackie Oshry00:05:06

But 3. We have to induce vomit.

Claudia Oshry00:05:08

Takes it to a toxic level.

Jackie Oshry00:05:09

So of course that goes like, hmm, I think it was 3. We induced vomit. My king threw up, as he always does.

Claudia Oshry00:05:16

Did you, like, sift through the vomit to find the raisins?

Jackie Oshry00:05:19

My other king, my husband, did that. And we found 3 raisins, and we put it to bed.

Claudia Oshry00:05:25

And you know what?

Jackie Oshry00:05:25

It's just a regular Monday.

Claudia Oshry00:05:27

In the life of Bruno.

Jackie Oshry00:05:28

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:05:29

He needs a cell phone, um, that has the ASPCA hotline, like, on speed dial. He's the craziest dog ever.

Jackie Oshry00:05:35

He's so crazy.

Claudia Oshry00:05:36

Actually, Romeo's, like, actually been, like, kind of annoying. I mean, what else is annoying? It's been thunder—first of all, flooding.

Jackie Oshry00:05:41

Oh, yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:05:42

Up the wazoo.

Jackie Oshry00:05:43

Rains.

Claudia Oshry00:05:43

I couldn't even watch Dancing With the Stars. I thought the political commercials were annoying. The fucking flood warning, all of it.

Jackie Oshry00:05:48

Fucking flood.

Claudia Oshry00:05:48

And then the second the intro starts, I see PT Barnum.

Jackie Oshry00:05:51

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:05:51

They cut to the weather guy. I'm like, severe weather, like.

Jackie Oshry00:05:53

And the weatherman is really making a meal out of it.

Claudia Oshry00:05:55

Yes.

Jackie Oshry00:05:56

And I'm like, maybe he doesn't know that he's interrupting our program.

Claudia Oshry00:05:58

Disney night.

Jackie Oshry00:05:59

But then at the end of it, he's like, now it's back to Dancing With the Stars.

Claudia Oshry00:06:02

I'm like, so you knew, and you repeated yourself?

Jackie Oshry00:06:04

Do you know what I did?

Claudia Oshry00:06:04

So many times with non-essential information.

Jackie Oshry00:06:07

I switched over to Disney+.

Claudia Oshry00:06:09

That's why you were asking for the login.

Jackie Oshry00:06:10

I—I could not remember our login. I had no political commercials because it's national. So I had, like, Shaq for the general, you know? Um, Pizza Hut, gorgeous things. And no interruptions. So.

Claudia Oshry00:06:21

That's so smart.

Jackie Oshry00:06:21

I was watching Late Belated, and I was like, how was Claudia not flipping out?

Claudia Oshry00:06:27

I was so annoyed.

Jackie Oshry00:06:27

Yes.

Claudia Oshry00:06:28

Especially because, like, right when PT Barnum came on.

Jackie Oshry00:06:30

Oh, for me, it started right at the beginning. The Lion King missed that.

Claudia Oshry00:06:33

Oh, I missed that too, but.

Jackie Oshry00:06:34

I got PT. I did.

Claudia Oshry00:06:35

Oh, I didn't.

Jackie Oshry00:06:36

Interesting.

Claudia Oshry00:06:37

Then I went literally on, uh, Disney+ and rewinded, like, because I really wanted to see it.

Jackie Oshry00:06:42

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:06:42

Um, but it was.

Jackie Oshry00:06:43

So when I.

Claudia Oshry00:06:44

Oh, wait, it was.

Jackie Oshry00:06:44

And I had to watch Julia Stiles dance without sound because.

Claudia Oshry00:06:48

You're fine.

Jackie Oshry00:06:48

The weatherman was telling me about what's happening in Port St. Lucie.

Claudia Oshry00:06:51

Yeah, Port Lucie.

Jackie Oshry00:06:53

What is it?

Claudia Oshry00:06:53

Lucy. What do you mean, what is it? Lucy.

Jackie Oshry00:06:59

I don't know why.

Claudia Oshry00:06:59

Yeah, by the way, shit's bad in Port St. Lucie.

Jackie Oshry00:07:01

It's giving a love to our Port St.

Claudia Oshry00:07:03

Or Port St. Lucie toast. I learned that also from the original weather alert.

Jackie Oshry00:07:04

They got it bad because the weatherman was like, "Stay home."

Claudia Oshry00:07:07

And the whole thing was, like, Port St. Lucie. I'm like, okay, but I'm not in Port St. Lucie.

Jackie Oshry00:07:10

I think he actually came up with a little glimmer. He said, "Don't drown, turn around."

Claudia Oshry00:07:16

Chilling.

Jackie Oshry00:07:17

I thought that was nice.

Claudia Oshry00:07:18

I thought, you know what's better? "Don't take risks on treacherous roads." So it was thundering and lightning all night long, and it has been for, like, 2, 3 days. And Romeo's like.

Jackie Oshry00:07:26

Right, Romeo.

Claudia Oshry00:07:27

Romeo's like, "Can't take it." Shaking.

Jackie Oshry00:07:30

No, I'm not one of those.

Claudia Oshry00:07:31

Yes.

Jackie Oshry00:07:32

He's one of those.

Claudia Oshry00:07:33

He's acting like he's a dog who's been to Iraq. Like, you literally are from a breeder in New Jersey. Like, what are you afraid of? Shaking. Has not gone to the bathroom in 24 hours. We keep taking him outside. He runs inside. He will not go in. Tail between his legs. Had to sleep in our bed. Like, oh my god, he is being so drama. You guys, he's, like, having a full traumatic.

Jackie Oshry00:07:50

Respond.

Claudia Oshry00:07:51

Reaction. It has been, like, days. Um, and I don't know what to do with him. Like, when I—when I hold him, he shakes. When I—I put him in his crate, that's, like, his safe space. But, like, then it's sad and he's alone and scared. I seriously don't know what to do. I don't have the bandwidth for it. And he has not gone to the bathroom, like, in almost a day.

Jackie Oshry00:08:07

But he's peed?

Claudia Oshry00:08:08

No.

Jackie Oshry00:08:10

Hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:08:10

Yeah, I know.

Jackie Oshry00:08:11

You might need to call ASPCA.

Claudia Oshry00:08:12

No, I just know I'm going to find, like, a pee in the bathroom or something. Like, on my computer.

Jackie Oshry00:08:15

Oh, classic.

Claudia Oshry00:08:16

There's a pee somewhere.

Jackie Oshry00:08:16

Give him a bath mat. He loves that.

Claudia Oshry00:08:18

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:08:18

That's his favorite.

Claudia Oshry00:08:19

He's just being, like, so drama.

Jackie Oshry00:08:21

Oh, I didn't know you had one of those.

Claudia Oshry00:08:22

Yeah, me neither, because, like, I don't experience a ton of thunderstorms.

Jackie Oshry00:08:26

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:08:27

Over the summer in the Hamptons, it was, like, one or two. And honestly, I don't remember him being affected by it.

Jackie Oshry00:08:30

No, these have been crazy. These are on another level.

Claudia Oshry00:08:32

They have been, like, very loud and very bright.

Jackie Oshry00:08:33

It feels like it's right on top of your home only.

Claudia Oshry00:08:36

Yeah, it's true.

Jackie Oshry00:08:37

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:08:38

Um, so that's just sort of, like, what we're dealing with, canine-wise, at our house.

Jackie Oshry00:08:41

I know.

Claudia Oshry00:08:42

It's been a—it's been a drama.

Jackie Oshry00:08:42

The dogs are going through it.

Claudia Oshry00:08:44

The dogs are going through it.

Jackie Oshry00:08:45

But other than that.

Claudia Oshry00:08:47

Other than that, all good on the Western Front, as the kids say. I watched Dancing With the Stars at a Parji snack at a Nutter Butter.

Jackie Oshry00:08:53

Oh, I had a chili with the stars.

Claudia Oshry00:08:55

I had chili as well. But it's been a while since I had a Nutter Butter.

Jackie Oshry00:08:58

I've only eaten chili for the last 48 hours.

Claudia Oshry00:09:01

And how do you—you've never looked better, by the way.

Jackie Oshry00:09:03

Thank you so much. I don't feel weird.

Claudia Oshry00:09:04

I've never felt worse.

Jackie Oshry00:09:05

No, I definitely feel a little weird, but I think I also just have cramps.

Claudia Oshry00:09:08

It's a lot of beans.

Jackie Oshry00:09:09

Yeah, no, I just have—like, I'm also—I have my, um, my—my cramps.

Claudia Oshry00:09:14

Speaking of cramps, you know, I'm having this thing in pregnancy that I do remember. I just—I hadn't. Like, it's really bad.

Speaker 400:09:20

Serviceable. Now you spit on them.

Claudia Oshry00:09:22

In my—in the first pregnancy. Like, if I would walk, like, I'd try to do something active for, like, 15 minutes. I would get, like, really bad round-leg amend pain. It happens now, like, on my walk in, like, minute one.

Jackie Oshry00:09:32

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:09:32

Like, I'm literally, like, going to become incapacitated. Like, I cannot leave the house. And so yesterday, I was like, okay, I want to go to TJ Maxx. I was like, you know what? Ben doesn't—like, I really can't do anything solo these days with food. But I was like, you know what? I can go to TJ Maxx with food. Like, it's fine. He needed new clothes. We went to TJ Maxx. I'm walking for one second, literally one second, in the parking lot. Jackie, I'm keeled over having round-leg amend pain. Like, in the middle—I haven't even gotten to the store yet. It's like, what am I supposed to do? Just sit at home all day? Okay, I'll do it.

Jackie Oshry00:09:58

Well, I feel like they say, I—

Claudia Oshry00:09:59

Are you supposed to walk through it?

Jackie Oshry00:10:01

Part of round-leg amend pain, it's like, I—why you get it so bad, like, in the middle of the night. That's when I used to get it.

Claudia Oshry00:10:04

Oh, I never heard of it.

Jackie Oshry00:10:05

I never heard of it. It's like after being sedentary for a long time. Like, then it pops off.

Claudia Oshry00:10:10

I haven't—I never heard that.

Jackie Oshry00:10:11

So maybe you need to be more active.

Claudia Oshry00:10:14

I'm actually extremely active.

Jackie Oshry00:10:15

You are.

Claudia Oshry00:10:16

Like.

Jackie Oshry00:10:16

We're here now.

Claudia Oshry00:10:17

I go to work every day. Like, I'm not really, like, on bed rest. Like, obviously, I rest, as a pregnant woman should. Maybe above average. Maybe above average resting. But I'm really not that, like, sedentary.

Jackie Oshry00:10:28

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:10:28

Like, I can't even go for a one-minute walk. I can't even walk through the parking lot from the car to the TJ Maxx door.

Jackie Oshry00:10:33

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:10:33

And by the way, when I finally did get to TJ Maxx, they're on, like, Christmas crack. It was insane. Christmas music, Christmas snacks, Christmas decor. Obviously, I love it. Like, I'm the type of person, if I was not, um, a Ju-ess, like, my tree would be up.

Jackie Oshry00:10:44

Yeah. A Christmas queen.

Claudia Oshry00:10:45

But it was overwhelming. It was so soon.

Jackie Oshry00:10:49

I'm coming down from Halloween, then I'll celebrate my birthday, and then maybe I'll be ready for the festivities.

Claudia Oshry00:10:54

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:10:55

But right now, I just need, like, a period of neutrality.

Claudia Oshry00:10:57

Yes.

Jackie Oshry00:10:58

What—what are you thinking about my birthday?

Claudia Oshry00:11:00

No, I wasn't thinking anything.

Jackie Oshry00:11:01

You got me something?

Claudia Oshry00:11:02

I didn't. I really need to. Um, it just, like, hasn't come to me yet.

Jackie Oshry00:11:06

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:11:06

And it will come. Unfortunately, like, now I'm probably going to have to, like, shop in person, which I hate.

Jackie Oshry00:11:10

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:11:11

My round-leg amend pain.

Jackie Oshry00:11:11

Well, Chanel flats, actually. I would love a pair.

Claudia Oshry00:11:14

Consider it done.

Jackie Oshry00:11:15

Um, these are a size 36 and a half, but you could go 37. Like, these are, like, a—a—a pre-second pregnancy. I think I've had these since before. Actually, I've had these since before I was ever pregnant. Now they're stretched to my foot, but I think these days I'm a 37.

Claudia Oshry00:11:28

Consider it done.

Jackie Oshry00:11:29

You're an associate. Obviously, pleening colors.

Claudia Oshry00:11:30

I was going to say, like, a more neutral, like.

Jackie Oshry00:11:32

I—I actually, uh, maybe, like, something in the blue family. I'm—I find I wear a lot of blue.

Claudia Oshry00:11:36

Consider it done, sister.

Jackie Oshry00:11:37

I love that.

Claudia Oshry00:11:37

Act surprised when you open it up.

Jackie Oshry00:11:39

I will, because I don't know what they're going to.

Claudia Oshry00:11:40

Even though, like, sort of an issue I'm currently facing just being here is that I went to the mall, and, like, the place where I like to park at the mall is Sachs. I cannot shop at Sachs. You guys know I have a personal vendetta with Sachs.

Jackie Oshry00:11:52

Do they know?

Claudia Oshry00:11:53

I've never shared. And you also should have another.

Jackie Oshry00:11:57

I know.

Claudia Oshry00:11:57

You should.

Jackie Oshry00:11:58

Do—I don't think they know.

Claudia Oshry00:11:59

No, I never wanted to, like, make myself a victim.

Jackie Oshry00:12:01

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:12:01

But as you guys know, like, Sachs is a former sponsor of our show, and they're also a company that filed for bankruptcy. Um, and yeah, with that information, what you will know. I will say, we did get a settlement from them. It was about one-fifth of what we were actually owed. They were a huge Q4 partner in the year, like, 2024. Then we found out, like, we weren't getting paid. And I was like, fuck this place. And then I remember I was in the mall shopping, and I'm like, wait, how am I shopping at Sachs? You owe me money. Like, how are you even open right now? You owe me money. How are you even showing your face? You owe me money.

Jackie Oshry00:12:30

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:12:31

So I won't shop there. Even though technically, like, we—they have settled their debts with us. We took, like, a, a settlement.

Jackie Oshry00:12:36

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:12:36

But, like, not cool to be purchasing ads on the Number One podcast when you can't even pay your bills.

Jackie Oshry00:12:40

For sure, but I would take the.

Claudia Oshry00:12:41

So low brow.

Jackie Oshry00:12:42

I would take the rest of it in credit, I'll say.

Claudia Oshry00:12:44

Like, obviously, I'm open to the situation being ameliorated, but not a good look. Because one thing about me, I don't mess around with people who owe me money.

Jackie Oshry00:12:52

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:12:52

That's sort of, like, you could actually stab me, and I might even have a better chance of forgiving you than if you owe me multiple figures. So I'll have to find another store.

Jackie Oshry00:13:02

You could go to Chanel Direct.

Claudia Oshry00:13:03

I could go to Chanel Direct.

Jackie Oshry00:13:04

Direct to Chanel. I can give you my SA.

Claudia Oshry00:13:06

DTC.

Jackie Oshry00:13:06

Mm-hmm. I could give you my SA.

Claudia Oshry00:13:10

You're like one of those girls on TikTok, like, the who make, like, their SA, their personality.

Jackie Oshry00:13:13

Oh, they're amazing.

Claudia Oshry00:13:14

Usually at her bands.

Jackie Oshry00:13:15

What are they saying?

Claudia Oshry00:13:15

You're like, I hunted down my SA, and it's like, I thought SA meant sexual assault. So I'm like, why are you hunting down your sexual assailant? I'm no, but it also means a sales associate who, like, you know, create a relationship with. And especially at Hermes, they, like, keep your purchase history, and eventually, like, maybe we'll get you, like, a bag.

Jackie Oshry00:13:28

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:13:28

Um, I find that content, like, genuinely insufferable.

Jackie Oshry00:13:32

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:13:32

Like, if you're talking about your SA, not your sexual assa—if you're talking about your sales associate and you're using the term SA, just know, like, I'm—it's an immediate scroll for me.

Jackie Oshry00:13:40

Understood. We had a great SA in the Hamptons. Maybe you could reach out to her.

Claudia Oshry00:13:44

Of course. I told the story when I thought she recognized me for being famous, and she actually was like, "Oh, no, I've helped you here before." I was like, "Oh, okay."

Jackie Oshry00:13:49

Yeah, totally.

Claudia Oshry00:13:50

Maybe I'm not as famous as I—as I thought.

Jackie Oshry00:13:52

No, I think you are. Didn't something famous happen to you yesterday?

Claudia Oshry00:13:54

Golden Globe.

Jackie Oshry00:13:56

Golden Globe.

Claudia Oshry00:13:57

Did something famous happen to me yesterday?

Jackie Oshry00:13:58

I feel like something happened.

Claudia Oshry00:13:59

What happened?

Jackie Oshry00:13:59

I don't know.

Claudia Oshry00:14:01

Okay, wait. Let's walk through the day. What did I do yesterday? Came here, was hilarious, left, laid in bed. No, I'm kidding. I went to TJ Maxx.

Jackie Oshry00:14:09

Maybe we weren't together yesterday. Maybe it was, like, on Halloween. Something famous happened to you, but I—I just feel like that always happens.

Claudia Oshry00:14:16

It's true. That's why we're having.

Jackie Oshry00:14:17

Oh, it always does.

Claudia Oshry00:14:18

That's why we're having a hard time, like, pinpointing which moment it was, because it happens all the time.

Jackie Oshry00:14:21

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:14:22

Yes.

Jackie Oshry00:14:23

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:14:23

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:14:24

Well.

Claudia Oshry00:14:25

The life of a showgirl.

Jackie Oshry00:14:26

Let's get into the stories.

Claudia Oshry00:14:27

Ugh, okay.

Jackie Oshry00:14:28

Why Dancing With the Stars?

Claudia Oshry00:14:29

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:14:30

Your favorite.

Claudia Oshry00:14:31

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:14:31

The clocks went back this weekend, and those of us with young children are in hell. But it does mean that it's now pitch black at 4:30 p.m., and so that's our body's signal, just sort of like we're listening to our bodies, letting us know, oh, it's time to go into hibernation. So if we're going to hibernate, we're doing it in our Rowback, specifically the Rowback Aspire set. We've talked about Rowback, honestly, for years. They're an OG partner, and we're going to keep talking about it, because every time they drop something, it's sort of better than the next.

And the Aspire set is sickening. It's a matching half-zip and pant set. It's very soft. It has a little stripe down the leg that makes it look like a little bit more tailored. Like, you can definitely leave the house, run errands, go shopping, go to the airport in this outfit, um, but also take a nap in this outfit, which I love. And being pregnant, obviously, my evenings are just not what they used to be. I'm limited in a lot of my mobility. I'm also limited in what pants I can wear. I really do not mess with, um, like, a waistband that's constrictive or, like, toxic. And the waistband on the Aspire set is Pargy. Of course, the mock necks, which we love.

Very Princess Diana. I love a mock neck. Jackie's been wearing hers quite a lot, actually. I hope you've been watching it. Um, the new colors are so good. You're just, just, you know, I hope you—I hope you've been watching it.

I have been.

Great. Um, I heard your dryer is, like, out. So I just hope you've been watching it.

My dryer's fine.

Um, so it's your official November advice. The sun is going to set before you leave work. You might as well be comfortable. Go to Rowback, look around, start building your hibernation uniform, and maybe start a little list while you're at it. Use code TOAST on rowback.com for a generous 20% off your first order through the end of this week. Rowback is R-H-O-B-A-C-K, and our code is TOAST for a generous 20% off your first order through the end of this week. Today's episode is also brought to you by Bilt Rewards. Here's a question: Are you getting rewarded for paying your rent or your mortgage right now? If the answer is no, you need to check out Bilt. Becoming a Bilt member means earning points on every housing payment, no matter where you live.

Bilt points can be redeemed on flights, hotels, Lyft rides, Amazon.com purchases, future housing payments, and more. Personally, I use them for travel. I am friends with Brian Kelly of The Points Guy, so I know how to maximize points. It's not a big deal. Um, and an unexpected benefit that Bilt gives every member is access to its agentic neighborhood concierge in the Bilt app. It doesn't just give you information about your home and your neighborhood; it actually executes for you. Um, it has over 50,000 merchant partners. You can ask it to pay your rent, make a dinner reservation, book a fitness class, schedule a lift, and more. It makes things happen while automatically applying your member benefits along the way. So for a crowd that thinks a lot about what agentic AI looks like, this is actually, in practice, an example worth paying to—paying attention to, excuse me.

So download the Bilt app, link any of your credit or debit cards to the app so purchases at local spots become even more rewarding. And then third, ask the neighborhood concierge in the app pretty much anything. It'll tell you about exclusive member benefits at restaurants, fitness studios, on your Lyft rides, and more around your home. And for the homeowners out there, Bilt actually works on mortgages too. Your housing payment is one of your biggest monthly expenses, so why wouldn't you want to earn points on it? Download the Bilt app, join the membership for where you live, and join Bilt at joinbilt.com/toast. That's J-O-I-N-B-I-L-T dot com slash T-O-A-S-T. Use that link so they know that we sent you.

Jackie Oshry00:20:57

Thank you, T-U-R-T.

Claudia Oshry00:20:58

You're welcome.

Jackie Oshry00:20:59

Our first story, Dancing With the Stars.

Claudia Oshry00:21:02

Let me pull up my group chat just to get my notes. I'm, like, I'm very active in our group chat now, even more so.

Jackie Oshry00:21:06

I had to mute our group chat because I watched literally two hours after you guys.

Claudia Oshry00:21:11

But, like, I don't remember my thoughts. Oh, my first thought: Maura looks like Paige DeSorbo tonight. Did anybody else think that?

Jackie Oshry00:21:16

Well, yes.

Claudia Oshry00:21:17

With the sidebangs.

Jackie Oshry00:21:18

With the sidebangs, and they just.

Claudia Oshry00:21:19

It's a very Audrey Hepburn.

Jackie Oshry00:21:20

Very Audrey Hepburn. I think they all, like, look similar.

Claudia Oshry00:21:23

Yeah. I just thought it.

Jackie Oshry00:21:25

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:21:25

I wrote it down.

Jackie Oshry00:21:26

Thank you for sharing it.

Claudia Oshry00:21:27

I wanted to get it out first, like, in case other people thought that, you know. Like, I had my own original thought.

Jackie Oshry00:21:31

Disney night at Dancing With the Stars. We had individual dances and team dances, and I did not know that that was happening.

Claudia Oshry00:21:37

Me neither.

Jackie Oshry00:21:38

Also, Cynthia Erivo.

Claudia Oshry00:21:40

Oh, yeah. The bald woman who's actually, I feel, not really running out of goodwill anymore, because I think she gained a lot of goodwill last night.

Jackie Oshry00:21:46

And because, like, the wicked thing is over, so people are going back to judging Cynthia as Cynthia, and she's.

Claudia Oshry00:21:52

And, like, realizing how talented she is.

Jackie Oshry00:21:54

She's so talented. And I don't even know her extensive Broadway background, but whatever she was saying on the panel last night, she's obviously an expert.

Claudia Oshry00:22:02

I was just talking about, yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:22:02

And I was very impressed with her overall.

Claudia Oshry00:22:05

There were a lot.

Jackie Oshry00:22:05

And her ability to, like, express herself. And, like, you know, I feel like the other judges, some of them do.

Claudia Oshry00:22:10

No, but she did give critiques. I feel like a lot of the guest judges, like, won't say anything bad.

Jackie Oshry00:22:12

And she gave, I think, on-the-nose marks.

Claudia Oshry00:22:16

And her and Bruno were having a time.

Jackie Oshry00:22:18

Were they?

Claudia Oshry00:22:18

Yeah, it was just sort of like giving girls kikiing. Like, they were just, like.

Jackie Oshry00:22:21

I'm cracking up. That's so Bruno.

Claudia Oshry00:22:23

Yeah, totally.

Jackie Oshry00:22:24

He had a rough day.

Claudia Oshry00:22:25

Yeah, right.

Jackie Oshry00:22:25

So he was excited to go party last night.

Claudia Oshry00:22:27

So who went first?

Jackie Oshry00:22:28

Who went first?

Claudia Oshry00:22:29

Oh, we have to talk about Julianne's bangs, just briefly.

Jackie Oshry00:22:32

Sure.

Claudia Oshry00:22:32

People, like, couldn't get over her bangs. They were crazy. But, like, she is committed to her craft.

Jackie Oshry00:22:37

She is. And people need to stop, like, analyzing every single thing that she wears and that she does. Like, she is a chameleon, first of all. She can wear anything. She's gorgeous. She's thin. She's having fun with fashion. She's also an amazing host. I feel like people clown on her. Thank you, Alphonso. But, like, the way she keeps the show moving, and even, like, the awkward moments, she actually, like, had a moment last night where she was.

Claudia Oshry00:22:57

She asked a dumb question.

Jackie Oshry00:22:59

She was like, "What did I say?"

Claudia Oshry00:23:00

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:23:00

And I just think hosting is really hard.

Claudia Oshry00:23:02

Yeah, I agree.

Jackie Oshry00:23:03

A lot of people start hosting who aren't trained hosts, and I think she does not get enough credit for being actually an amazing host.

Claudia Oshry00:23:10

I think also the contestants really like her. And, like, she's in on the joke, which is a huge check in her column.

Jackie Oshry00:23:15

And she gives us so much with all of her outfits and her looks.

Claudia Oshry00:23:18

And her dancing.

Jackie Oshry00:23:19

And her dancing. But even still, like, every—she really shows up and, like, does the most for the job. So I feel like people are just so hard on her.

Claudia Oshry00:23:26

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:23:26

Or just, like, nitpick things, and it's like, just enjoy the fashion, okay?

Claudia Oshry00:23:29

It's true.

Jackie Oshry00:23:30

Maybe you don't get it, but.

Claudia Oshry00:23:31

She's trying.

Jackie Oshry00:23:31

No, but she's succeeding. She looks amazing all the time. She, like.

Claudia Oshry00:23:36

I wouldn't choose every outfit that she does, but she always looks nice, yes.

Jackie Oshry00:23:39

She always looks nice. First, we had Amber Glen and Pasha Pashkov. They danced to Go the Distance. Oh, no, A Star Is Born.

Claudia Oshry00:23:46

No, they didn't wish.

Jackie Oshry00:23:47

A Star Is Born from Hercules. A Star Is Born. We're actually in very much a Hercules era in our house, so this dance meant a lot to me.

Claudia Oshry00:23:53

And I also—I did really love the message, you know, that she's just always been this, like, very strong-looking girl, and she always felt like that, like, chipped away at her femininity, but now she leans into it. It was a fine dance. Honestly, it wasn't, like, breathtaking or anything. I do feel—I know everyone—I feel like I say the same thing every week, but there were so many songs that I did not know. And I feel like dancing to Be Our Guest and then dancing to a random song from Aida, like, it's literally not fair. It's not.

Jackie Oshry00:24:18

I guess. But if you, the dancer yourself, like, know the song and it means something to you.

Claudia Oshry00:24:23

I don't think that they, um, have a huge say in what they get to dance to.

Jackie Oshry00:24:28

Yeah. But these songs are all good songs. So it's like, maybe you've not heard it before, but once you hear it a couple times, it's pretty good.

Claudia Oshry00:24:33

Yeah, but, like, watching a performance for a song that you know, it makes you, like, so, like, you want—you're going to like the dance no matter what. So I feel like with, you know, I didn't know this song, so with Amber, I was just judging, like, probably a little harsher.

Jackie Oshry00:24:43

I've heard it, no.

Claudia Oshry00:24:43

You've heard? You have?

Jackie Oshry00:24:44

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:24:45

Um, it was a good dance. It was fine.

Jackie Oshry00:24:47

It was good. It was good. I don't have anything negative to say, and sometimes I do, so.

Claudia Oshry00:24:51

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:24:51

Um.

Claudia Oshry00:24:52

So we'll leave it at that.

Jackie Oshry00:24:53

34 out of 40 for them. Then Maura and Mark danced to You Can Fly, You Can Fly, You Can Fly from Peter Pan. She was Tinker Bell. They did the jive, which she shared was the worst part of her.

Claudia Oshry00:25:03

Tinker Hell.

Jackie Oshry00:25:04

Her experience. She's in Tinker Hell. It was actually cute last night, because I felt like we saw more of her personality.

Claudia Oshry00:25:07

Yes.

Jackie Oshry00:25:08

Whereas you were just saying we weren't seeing it. Now, the dance earned kind of low scores. They were at the bottom, 32 out of 40.

Claudia Oshry00:25:13

It's not her style. Like, it's not where she's very elegant. She's long. So, like, those waltzes that other people find really challenging, she probably excels at more than the average person. But these, like, quick little tiny movements, she's kind of lanky and tall, and it didn't look right. Um, and I think the judges' critiques reflect that. I think the, uh, scores reflected that. I think she—it was better than she thought, because she seemed surprised by the eights. I think she was actually happy.

Jackie Oshry00:25:38

Well, the thing is, all four eights is not a bad score.

Claudia Oshry00:25:40

No.

Jackie Oshry00:25:41

And a couple weeks ago was a great score, but everyone is just scoring higher now, so they're just not hacking it. I also thought Carrie Ann's commentary was very interesting, because we saw in the package, like, Maura seems to be running out of steam—stamina, energy—and you really need to take care of yourself in the competition, because it's so grueling. The training is grueling. And you can feel that she is just, like, wasting away.

Claudia Oshry00:26:04

Yeah, I think Carrie Ann, like, was referring to her weight, right?

Jackie Oshry00:26:08

Well.

Claudia Oshry00:26:08

She's a very thin person. And obviously, like, thinness doesn't always mean, like, you're the healthiest. And I think that, like, when you're doing such cardio, like, you actually need to be eating a lot.

Jackie Oshry00:26:18

Yeah, and you are losing weight on the show, and you need to keep your energy up. So yes, perhaps it is about the thinness, but it was also from what Maura was saying in the packages. You can just see she's just completely worn out.

Claudia Oshry00:26:28

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:26:28

So even if she was a different size, if she's saying those things, like, she's not taking care of herself enough for the competition.

Claudia Oshry00:26:35

I do feel like it was, like, kind of inappropriate to say, like, on TV in front of everyone, um, just sort of singling her out. And she was, like—and I mean this for all the contestants—like, that's something you really pull her to the side and say. I didn't think it was appropriate, honestly.

Jackie Oshry00:26:51

I thought it was, like, a fair response to the package that we saw.

Claudia Oshry00:26:55

No, because in the package, Maura was, like, really saying that she's just struggling with this dance in particular. And Carrie Ann just, like, kind of got so serious, and it was weird.

Jackie Oshry00:27:06

Oh, I thought.

Claudia Oshry00:27:06

Like, it was awkward. It was inappropriate.

Jackie Oshry00:27:08

Oh, I thought it was, like, an appropriate response and a very true statement for everyone.

Claudia Oshry00:27:13

Very true statement that she should have shared privately.

Jackie Oshry00:27:15

And anyone's package, no matter what they look like, if anyone's package, like, was, like, Maura's where she's just sort of out of steam.

Claudia Oshry00:27:22

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:27:22

That that would be a good thing to say is, like, remember to take care of yourself. This competition is very difficult.

Claudia Oshry00:27:26

For sure. Maura's just, like, very visibly thin.

Jackie Oshry00:27:29

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:27:30

And, like, I don't know, it probably just made her, like, self-conscious.

Jackie Oshry00:27:33

But if she had said it to a fat person, you wouldn't like that, and we would say it was about weight too.

Claudia Oshry00:27:37

Yeah, of course I would.

Jackie Oshry00:27:37

You can't say it to anyone.

Claudia Oshry00:27:39

Yeah, no, you can say it. I'm saying, like, pulling them to the side. Because I do believe Carrie Ann was coming from a genuine place of concern.

Jackie Oshry00:27:44

Of course.

Claudia Oshry00:27:44

So, like, I would have just pulled her to the side if, like, you really feel that way.

Jackie Oshry00:27:48

But I think it's also something that everyone should hear.

Claudia Oshry00:27:50

Yes.

Jackie Oshry00:27:50

Even people at home. Like, you need—if you're training like an athlete, like, take care of yourself.

Claudia Oshry00:27:54

Absolutely.

Jackie Oshry00:27:54

Don't just, like, run yourself down.

Claudia Oshry00:27:56

Absolutely.

Jackie Oshry00:27:56

That's not going to be the best thing.

Claudia Oshry00:27:57

Absolutely. There's a time and a place to say these things. Oh, and then we need to talk about, um, Derek's attempt at an Irish accent, because obviously I.

Jackie Oshry00:28:06

He did sound like a high-ranking Nazi officer.

Claudia Oshry00:28:08

Okay, Christophe Waltz in Inglourious Basterds. Like, I could tell the second he started talking he regretted it. And listen, I get it. Every time I do an accent, it becomes Russian. Like, every time Ben does an accent, it's Scottish. Like, Jamaican, yeah. I get it. Accents are hard. Of course. Irish specifically. Now, Derek, not cool.

Jackie Oshry00:28:27

So, like.

Claudia Oshry00:28:28

Very triggering for me to hear that, honestly.

Jackie Oshry00:28:32

Like, he put himself out there. He tried something.

Claudia Oshry00:28:34

Let's make fun of the girl who took a risk creatively.

Jackie Oshry00:28:37

Yeah, he really did.

Claudia Oshry00:28:37

And put herself out there.

Jackie Oshry00:28:38

He really did. Also, every time Derek.

Claudia Oshry00:28:40

Sorry, I wrote in my—in our group chat, Derek accidentally entering Nazi territory. He tried to do an Irish accent. Gerbels energy.

Jackie Oshry00:28:51

Derek, I'm not offended, and I forgive you.

Claudia Oshry00:28:54

I forgive you too.

Jackie Oshry00:28:55

Every time Derek, like, is just speaking, I just have to do, like, sort of an audit on Derek.

Claudia Oshry00:29:00

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:29:00

You know, I'm just, like, thinking about Derek a lot.

Claudia Oshry00:29:02

And what conclusions did you come to?

Jackie Oshry00:29:03

And I just, like, love him.

Claudia Oshry00:29:04

Oh.

Jackie Oshry00:29:04

There's only one Derek.

Claudia Oshry00:29:06

So true. Irreplaceable.

Jackie Oshry00:29:08

He really is.

Claudia Oshry00:29:09

I agree.

Jackie Oshry00:29:09

He's really great. And I.

Claudia Oshry00:29:11

And he does, like, really care about the contestants. He gives good critiques.

Jackie Oshry00:29:13

He gives great critiques.

Claudia Oshry00:29:14

Agreed. Like, he very—he's middle ground too. Like, he knows when people need to be, like.

Jackie Oshry00:29:18

Coddled.

Claudia Oshry00:29:19

Yep.

Jackie Oshry00:29:19

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:29:19

Yep, yep, yep.

Jackie Oshry00:29:20

But I think he's really great.

Claudia Oshry00:29:21

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:29:22

Then we have Tatiana and Jan. They danced to Aida. They did a contemporary dance, which was very beautiful, and the judges loved it.

Claudia Oshry00:29:29

It was.

Jackie Oshry00:29:29

Carrie Ann had chills, as she let us know.

Claudia Oshry00:29:30

And I think that it goes back to what we said last week. Like, contemporary as a dance style, I'm sure it's, like, a valid style, but when we think about it in the context of all the different ballroom styles, it's so much easier, and you just get graded better.

Jackie Oshry00:29:43

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:29:43

Like, everyone who does a contemporary gets a high score. It was a great dance, but this was my note in the group chat. Them giving Tatiana this old random-ass Broadway show to dance to? They hate her. They had to explain the show in the package, like, "We're dancing to Aida," which is a really old show. Like, nobody knew the show. Nobody knew the song. Uh, hello? Like, come on. They never give her, like, good, good songs.

Jackie Oshry00:30:06

I guess. I would like to know more about the selection process.

Claudia Oshry00:30:09

At the bare minimum, I had heard of all the other shows.

Jackie Oshry00:30:11

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:30:12

Maybe not the exact song.

Jackie Oshry00:30:13

I've heard about Aida.

Claudia Oshry00:30:13

I haven't.

Jackie Oshry00:30:14

I had heard about Aida. She got a 33 out of 40, which was really good and better than Maura, so she was not bottom of the pack.

Claudia Oshry00:30:20

She was not bottom of the pack. She was not in the bottom, period. She was chosen as a team captain, actually.

Jackie Oshry00:30:23

Oh, my gosh.

Claudia Oshry00:30:24

Because she has the lowest combined score.

Jackie Oshry00:30:25

Oh, my gosh.

Claudia Oshry00:30:26

Um, and I want to talk about her selects. I've actually saw—I see a lot of people talking about this. I was really surprised by the very, like, gym-class picking of teams.

Jackie Oshry00:30:35

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:30:35

Um.

Jackie Oshry00:30:36

It remained positive, but that can be really hurtful. Like, I'm feeling for Jen and Dwam.

Claudia Oshry00:30:39

Jen and Dwam. The best dancer there.

Jackie Oshry00:30:41

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:30:41

Got two perfect scores in a row.

Jackie Oshry00:30:42

But it wound up being great for Jen, because she was on an amazing team.

Claudia Oshry00:30:44

The better team. Tatiana, girl, like, you chose poorly. Like, I—I know she was choosing, because she's a—she's a real one. You know, she's just choosing people who she—she has to rehearse with them and hang out with them and the people that she likes, but, like, the other team was stacked. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:30:56

Yeah, she chose Maura first. If I was choosing first.

Claudia Oshry00:31:01

And I think she wanted to assemble a team of women, Jen and Dwan.

Jackie Oshry00:31:04

If I was choosing first, I'm going with the best. That's how, like, these pickings go. And if I want to be with a woman, I would go Jen and Dwan.

Claudia Oshry00:31:10

Obviously.

Jackie Oshry00:31:11

So she hates Jen and Dwan.

Claudia Oshry00:31:12

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:31:13

Then she went Amber. Amber would be the next.

Claudia Oshry00:31:15

Yeah, every.

Jackie Oshry00:31:15

Is the right second woman's choice. And then it would be.

Claudia Oshry00:31:19

If I had to pick a woman.

Jackie Oshry00:31:20

Maura.

Claudia Oshry00:31:21

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:31:21

Or Inglourious Styles.

Claudia Oshry00:31:23

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:31:24

Um, so she let the other team just get stacked. And, and why I think.

Claudia Oshry00:31:27

And the worst song and the worst outfits.

Jackie Oshry00:31:29

I know you hate Zootopia, but I love it.

Claudia Oshry00:31:30

No, I like that song.

Jackie Oshry00:31:31

I think.

Claudia Oshry00:31:31

I'm sorry. We're all in this together. Like, the lore.

Jackie Oshry00:31:34

But then when they did their Zootopia, it was so cute, and they all wore the pants, and I thought it was, like, so camaraderie and.

Claudia Oshry00:31:40

It was giving Pam Talent Show.

Jackie Oshry00:31:41

And it was really giving, like, global gym. I mean, no, uh.

Claudia Oshry00:31:45

Average shows.

Jackie Oshry00:31:45

Average shows. Like, we're coming together, and we're going to be the best.

Claudia Oshry00:31:47

Exactly.

Jackie Oshry00:31:47

And it was, like, really scrapping great. And I'm like, honestly, the other team is so stacked. They're dancing to something so obvious. Like, I feel like there's going to be no heart, and it's going to be—they're actually not going to win, because it's going to be, like, global gym.

Claudia Oshry00:31:56

No, they had an amazing time.

Jackie Oshry00:31:57

It was amazing.

Claudia Oshry00:31:59

The whole thing was so uneven. Their costumes were, like, seriously so much worse. Their song was so much worse. Their dance was so much worse. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:32:05

No, I—I feel like as much as High School Musical is so good and better, you think, on its face, it's also so obvious and a little corny that it's hard to make it your own without just doing, like, this.

Claudia Oshry00:32:15

No, I think in Dancing with the Stars world, like, that corniness is invaluable.

Jackie Oshry00:32:19

I—I actually thought for a second that the underdogs were going to win.

Claudia Oshry00:32:23

That's beautiful.

Jackie Oshry00:32:24

And then when they came out with what they came out with, it was perfection.

Claudia Oshry00:32:28

Yeah, it was really good.

Jackie Oshry00:32:29

Yeah, I really enjoyed that. I didn't know that was happening, and I enjoyed their team dances.

Claudia Oshry00:32:33

Me either. God forbid they make the episode just, like, shorter. No, we have to watch team dances.

Jackie Oshry00:32:36

No.

Claudia Oshry00:32:36

Okay, that's fine.

Jackie Oshry00:32:37

Harry Shum and Jenna Johnson danced to Mary Poppins, Super Cadre Fragilistic X Beatocious. 40 out of 40.

Claudia Oshry00:32:44

It was insane. It was Jordan Fischer.

Jackie Oshry00:32:46

It was Jordan Fischer.

Claudia Oshry00:32:47

It was going to.

Jackie Oshry00:32:47

It's going to be incredible.

Claudia Oshry00:32:48

It's going to go down in the history books of Dancing with the Stars. It was the first dance of the night that I actually knew the song to, so I felt like he was automatically at an advantage. He was so Mike Chan from Glee. Like, the knee walking, the everything.

Jackie Oshry00:33:01

The—the graphics in the back coordinating with their moves. I thought that was brilliant.

Claudia Oshry00:33:05

They did get a little bit—I thought it at the time, and then I saw people on Twitter saying, like, why the end of the dance was, like, a solo act for Jenna. She's doing, like, an eight-turn pirouette and, like, where's your partner?

Jackie Oshry00:33:14

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:33:14

But I liked it, so.

Jackie Oshry00:33:15

And then they just, like, ended randomly with this huge lift that felt like a middle finger to Carrie Ann. That's how I saw it.

Claudia Oshry00:33:21

That's funny.

Jackie Oshry00:33:21

But they didn't have him in the lift.

Claudia Oshry00:33:23

Right.

Jackie Oshry00:33:23

Because it's not your partner lifting.

Claudia Oshry00:33:25

Partner.

Jackie Oshry00:33:26

So I just saw it as one giant middle finger on the dance floor.

Claudia Oshry00:33:29

I didn't think of it, but you're 100% right.

Jackie Oshry00:33:30

And I think them lifting her was, like, sym—and it was, like, two people. It was, like, symbolized.

Claudia Oshry00:33:34

Yeah, if you, like, zoom out and connect the dots, it's one big finger.

Jackie Oshry00:33:36

And it was, like, turned together.

Claudia Oshry00:33:38

1,000%. It was literally the best dance of the season.

Jackie Oshry00:33:42

Yeah, it was amazing. And Jenna choreographed it amazing. Obviously, he danced amazing, but the whole thing, the whole package put together was just perfection.

Claudia Oshry00:33:50

Yeah, um, it really, like, endeared me to Harry Shum.

Jackie Oshry00:33:53

Yeah, they also got rid of the umbrella at the exact right time when I was done watching them dance with an umbrella.

Claudia Oshry00:33:59

Yeah, it's also, like, that is, like, also the corny and obvious Mary Poppins aha. But they had to do it.

Jackie Oshry00:34:03

It's corny night.

Claudia Oshry00:34:04

Yeah, it is.

Jackie Oshry00:34:04

Disney is Disney.

Claudia Oshry00:34:05

It's corny as cornball night, 100%.

Jackie Oshry00:34:06

And I love that.

Claudia Oshry00:34:07

Me too.

Jackie Oshry00:34:08

Then we had Ezra Frech and Daniela Kargash. They danced to The Little Mermaid Under the Sea. He was Prince Eric. They got 37 out of 40.

Claudia Oshry00:34:16

I'm glad they did samba, because it reminded me, like, the dance that we were obsessed with of his was samba. When he's like si.

Jackie Oshry00:34:21

No, which one?

Claudia Oshry00:34:22

He's done a samba before.

Jackie Oshry00:34:23

No, he—the whole point was they thought he would never do a samba on this show because he actually physically can't. And then Daniela said, "I think that you can."

Claudia Oshry00:34:30

Oh, I thought they did a samba.

Jackie Oshry00:34:32

No.

Claudia Oshry00:34:32

When he's, like, doing his hip thing so many times. Whatever. I fucking loved it. I also loved his hair slicked back. I think he, like, looks like a real, like, sexy little fish. She choreographs him so well.

Jackie Oshry00:34:42

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:34:43

Of course, the mechanics of doing these types of moves without a leg and the balance of everything is always, like, very interesting. And then you really see it on the dance floor. Like, you see the—the shifting of the hips, the shifting of the weight. It was magnificent. He's such a winner.

Jackie Oshry00:34:56

He's such a winner. But I will say, this wasn't, like, one of my up-there favorite dances. Like, sometimes I'll watch him dance with.

Claudia Oshry00:35:01

Of neither of his, you mean?

Jackie Oshry00:35:02

Of his.

Claudia Oshry00:35:03

Oh, it was up-there for me. It was really good.

Jackie Oshry00:35:05

Sometimes I'm blown away. And it was really good, but also, not every dance is going to blow you away.

Claudia Oshry00:35:09

Sure.

Jackie Oshry00:35:09

So I just need my boy to make it to the finals.

Claudia Oshry00:35:11

Yep.

Jackie Oshry00:35:11

And then it's on.

Claudia Oshry00:35:13

Agreed.

Jackie Oshry00:35:14

Julius Styles and Ezra Sosa, they danced for me on mute to Satisfied from Hamilton.

Claudia Oshry00:35:22

Which I think means a lot to a lot of people.

Jackie Oshry00:35:24

Liz Woods, of course.

Claudia Oshry00:35:25

It means nothing to me.

Jackie Oshry00:35:26

I know that song. To the groom, to the groom, to the groom.

Claudia Oshry00:35:30

I didn't know it. I know some Hamilton songs from TikTok.

Jackie Oshry00:35:32

To the bride, to the bride.

Claudia Oshry00:35:33

Alexander and I'm out of sleep.

Jackie Oshry00:35:36

Oh, quite a time.

Claudia Oshry00:35:37

I've got an early meeting out of town. Like, I know some of that.

Jackie Oshry00:35:40

Of course, because Kelly Clarkson sings that one. It's quite a.

Claudia Oshry00:35:42

Did she?

Jackie Oshry00:35:42

She did a cover. It's beautiful.

Claudia Oshry00:35:43

There's, like, a trend on, of course, work, work, Canteletta, work, work, Eliza, and Peggy. Like, I know them from TikTok. I didn't know that one. Um, but I think that's, like, you could tell when the franchise, like, likes someone.

Jackie Oshry00:35:55

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:35:55

Like, giving them Hamilton and Tatiana's over here dancing to Aida. Like, please. It was not even her worst dance. Like, I honestly don't even have anything to say good or bad. And, like, spoiler alert, this being the one that got her sent home, I was like, oh.

Jackie Oshry00:36:09

Well, just.

Claudia Oshry00:36:10

Honestly, I thought she had another week.

Jackie Oshry00:36:11

The competition is stiffer. The only people who would have gone home are her.

Claudia Oshry00:36:15

Tatiana, Fibula.

Jackie Oshry00:36:16

Tatiana or Fibula. And I'm going to put Maura down there too now.

Claudia Oshry00:36:18

I actually would even swap Fibula and Maura. I would say Fibula's out of the danger zone.

Jackie Oshry00:36:23

I would say so too. And now his scores are on par with Maura, and his dancing for the last two weeks has been, like, on par, and I think he has more fans.

Claudia Oshry00:36:31

I also think Fibula's really enjoying himself. And I get the sense that Maura is not. Like, even when they had the split screen of who's going home, like, she didn't look, like, so, so happy. When people are on the chopping block and they hear their names, there's, like, this huge sense of relief that washes over them. Maura's just like, okay, another week. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:36:50

I think she knows to mind her face because she'll go viral for looking too happy, like Whitney Leovigan.

Claudia Oshry00:36:56

Oh, no, I got the sense from the package too. I think it's really hard. Like, and I think it's, like, not one at a time.

Jackie Oshry00:37:02

It is hard, but I also think she want—really wants to be, like, an American TV star.

Claudia Oshry00:37:04

Yes, and this is what it takes.

Jackie Oshry00:37:05

And she doesn't want to go home. She's been working for so long. She was on Love Island in 2020.

Claudia Oshry00:37:11

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:37:12

She's finally having her moment. She does not want to go home.

Claudia Oshry00:37:14

Oh, I really get the sense that, like, she wouldn't be upset if she got eliminated. Like, I think there would be, like, a huge.

Jackie Oshry00:37:19

Of course.

Claudia Oshry00:37:19

And she's made it really far. Like, at this point, there's now seven contestants left, and there's only four that go—four that go to the final. So there's only three more eliminations. That's actually making it really far.

Jackie Oshry00:37:28

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:37:29

Like, that's sufficient. And that keeps you in, like, the Dancing with the Stars universe.

Jackie Oshry00:37:32

But at one point, she was shooting for the finale.

Claudia Oshry00:37:35

Tries to win.

Jackie Oshry00:37:35

For the finale.

Claudia Oshry00:37:36

Yeah. But now, maybe she'd just take sixth place.

Jackie Oshry00:37:39

Mm-hmm. Jen and Dwan and Val, they danced to Be Our Guest. They got 40 out of 40. They brought in Steve Cazee of Twilight Fame.

Claudia Oshry00:37:46

Are you—were you okay?

Jackie Oshry00:37:48

I was okay, but I was very glad to see Steve Cazee and learn about him.

Claudia Oshry00:37:53

His background. I—of course, thought of you immediately.

Jackie Oshry00:37:55

I didn't know that he was on Broadway.

Claudia Oshry00:37:56

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:37:56

I just thought, like, he did the Twilight soundtrack and called it a day.

Claudia Oshry00:37:59

No, I have a hot take. I thought her, like, she danced amazing, and it was a 10 out of 10 performance, but I wasn't obsessed with the choreography. Like, Be Our Guest is such a slam dunk. I'm sorry, there's not a better song ever made by Disney ever. It is joy. Everyone knows it. She's dressed as Belle. And I don't know, when it ended, I was like, oh, wait, that's it? Like, I—I wasn't really obsessed with the choreography.

Jackie Oshry00:38:21

But that's what I mean about when you get sort of, like, that obvious song that everybody loves. It's like, it's almost hard to select—to crush it because the expectations are so high. Also, I saw—saw something so weird this morning.

Claudia Oshry00:38:30

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:38:30

You know Dan and Michelle of, um, Hallmark Fame, right?

Claudia Oshry00:38:34

I don't.

Jackie Oshry00:38:34

You don't?

Claudia Oshry00:38:35

Who?

Jackie Oshry00:38:36

Danica? You'll see.

Claudia Oshry00:38:37

I don't. I know Danica Patrick.

Jackie Oshry00:38:38

Everybody knows Danica. She's played, like.

Claudia Oshry00:38:40

Of Aaron Rodgers' fame.

Jackie Oshry00:38:40

She's played a royal princess. She's played someone who married into royalty. But I guess she did Dancing with the Stars. You don't know this lady? You know her. Everybody knows Danica.

Claudia Oshry00:38:51

We don't, actually. I don't know Danica.

Jackie Oshry00:38:54

Okay. She did Dancing with the Stars years ago.

Claudia Oshry00:38:56

Wow.

Jackie Oshry00:38:57

Val was her partner.

Claudia Oshry00:38:58

Okay.

Jackie Oshry00:38:58

On Disney night, they did Beauty and the Beast.

Claudia Oshry00:39:00

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:39:00

Be Our Guest.

Claudia Oshry00:39:01

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:39:01

A Quick Step.

Claudia Oshry00:39:02

You're kidding.

Jackie Oshry00:39:06

Does that not look exactly like Jenna?

Claudia Oshry00:39:07

It does. That's insane that they did the same.

Jackie Oshry00:39:11

Isn't that weird? It looks like Jenna. Same glam and everything.

Claudia Oshry00:39:17

That's weird. That's weird. I just—yes, I hear you on, like, the—the high-net-worth songs being almost like a trap. But, like, I—I think Jenna Johnson crushed it in a high—like, in Super Cadre Fragile. Everyone knows that song.

Jackie Oshry00:39:30

It's—it's possible to crush, but I think it's harder than you think.

Claudia Oshry00:39:33

Well.

Jackie Oshry00:39:33

And it's not just the slam dunk.

Claudia Oshry00:39:34

They did crush. They got a 40, but, like, I don't know. I was like, this—it's not Hall of Fame. It's not going in one of those.

Jackie Oshry00:39:40

Because it's so obvious. It's Be Our Guest, and they are doing some great dancing. Like, it's hard to make it your own. That's all I'm saying.

Claudia Oshry00:39:46

No, I just think the choreography was bad. Like, I don't think it's a—yeah, I think it could be a trap, 100%. But also, like, just do it good. Like, Jenna—like.

Jackie Oshry00:39:57

She did it good.

Claudia Oshry00:39:58

Sorry. I—chore—choreographed it well. Like, there was no big moment. Like, it was all just good and fine, and they did all the moves, and they got a perfect score because technically, everything was done right. They had, you know, you need to have as many quick steps in a quick step to consider it a quick step. It was just, like, I wasn't dazzled. Like, I wasn't—you know, Be Our Guest is, like, one of my, like, literal favorite songs in the whole world. So I was just, like, when it ended, I actually.

Jackie Oshry00:40:19

Because you're supposed to.

Claudia Oshry00:40:20

I couldn't believe it ended.

Jackie Oshry00:40:20

You love it too much. That's why you're saying that.

Claudia Oshry00:40:22

No, no. No, it's not. It was just not, like—it wasn't wow.

Jackie Oshry00:40:26

I agree.

Claudia Oshry00:40:26

It was a well-executed dance.

Jackie Oshry00:40:27

I agree. It was perfect.

Claudia Oshry00:40:28

Per moves, but it wasn't—it didn't, like. Wasn't moving.

Jackie Oshry00:40:31

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:40:31

I was actually moved by Harry Shum Jr.

Jackie Oshry00:40:33

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:40:33

And I don't even feel for him.

Jackie Oshry00:40:35

You don't feel for him.

Claudia Oshry00:40:36

I kind of do now. I'm like, yeah, that's Mike Chan. Like, they've—they've—they've made no references to Glee, by the way. Like, they're doing him no favors. Grey's Anatomy, this Grey's—we don't give a fuck, okay? Bring back Mike Chan.

Jackie Oshry00:40:48

Then we had Connor Wood and Riley Arnold, um, doing a very romantic dance to I See the Light from Tangled. They got a 32 out of 40, so tying with Maura, all eights.

Claudia Oshry00:40:57

Giving him Tangled. Like, they knew what they were doing. I don't know if you know, Gen Z is obsessed with Tangled, and the live action has just been cast. People have been, like, obsessed fan fiction casting, like, for years. Who's going to be—what's his name? The guy, and who's going to be—and so then they gave it to Milo Manheim. People are obsessed with him. He's also connected to Dancing with the Stars.

Jackie Oshry00:41:17

Right.

Claudia Oshry00:41:17

So, like, they knew what they were doing, giving him—because Fibula, like, is the Gen Z. His TikToks are so viral. Like, he's doing everything right, both on the dance floor and off the dance floor. And not to keep bringing it back to Tatiana doing Aida, but, like, do you know what I mean? Like, it was—it was perfection.

Jackie Oshry00:41:35

Did you mean, like, Tangled? And I don't know this song. I actually didn't.

Claudia Oshry00:41:38

I don't know the song either.

Jackie Oshry00:41:40

So I thought it was, like, beautiful, and I loved Riley's hair, and I loved the dancing, and they're obviously very much in love.

Claudia Oshry00:41:45

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:41:45

Um, but the song and the dance actually didn't do that much for me. It was the two of them.

Claudia Oshry00:41:50

Yeah, I don't know the song.

Jackie Oshry00:41:51

I would say it was on par with Aida, because I thought that was a beautiful song, and they danced beautifully, and that's how I felt about this.

Claudia Oshry00:41:55

Yeah, Tatiana, like, made the most of what she was given. But I think people—and not me, but, like, the corner that really Fibula represents, which is this, like, youth movement. Riley too. She's literally 21. TikTok. They are obsessed with Tangled. So it was, like, it was definitely a layup, and he crushed it.

Jackie Oshry00:42:11

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:42:12

I loved her outfit.

Jackie Oshry00:42:13

Yes, me as well.

Claudia Oshry00:42:15

Obviously, like, they're in love.

Jackie Oshry00:42:16

And then you saw Milo Manheim brought a Cavalier on the screen in the FaceTime.

Claudia Oshry00:42:20

You know what I was seeing? He was on the screen for two seconds. I'm like, is that a Beagle or a Cavalier? I could not tell. And then the dog disappeared.

Jackie Oshry00:42:26

In that moment, you can't see, but I choose to see a Cavalier.

Claudia Oshry00:42:29

I also thought—I also thought, just mind you. Like, we had this—like, you're definitely—yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:42:33

So that was, like, cute for Cavalier representation.

Claudia Oshry00:42:36

1,000%.

Jackie Oshry00:42:37

Then we had the team dances. As we said, the two in the bottom, Tatiana and Connor got to pick their teams. We had team—this is going to be hard for me to say.

Claudia Oshry00:42:46

I just sound it out. Breathe through it.

Jackie Oshry00:42:48

Team Slaytopia. Team Slaytopia, because they danced to Zootopia, and they were slayed.

Claudia Oshry00:42:56

And they slayed. And that's what I mean when I say, like, the teams were just uneven. Like, even in their names, like, they obviously just went for, like, really cheugy, like, girl power. They looked like the Cheetah Girls in those outfits. Like, it was awful. It was corny. It was not highbrow at all. Even the costumes. Like, the HSM concerts—costumes were sick. Like, the Dancing with the Stars of Our City jackets. Like, it was just—honestly, they looked like they went to Party City on Tatiana's team. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:43:22

But they all wore the pants, which, like, the pants are great because everything looks good, but we—then we know, like, it's a handicap a little bit.

Claudia Oshry00:43:28

Yeah, and I just want to say, I love Alfonso, but, like, getting Julianne and Alfonso are not the same. Alfonso is not a pro. He's just a really, really good common dancer. Like, so I love Alfonso. I think he brings, like, actually a lot of personality that maybe Julianne doesn't.

Jackie Oshry00:43:42

But I do feel like, yes.

Claudia Oshry00:43:43

It's not the same.

Jackie Oshry00:43:44

Julianne sounds like.

Claudia Oshry00:43:44

They should have gotten two, um, like, eliminated pros, you know, or, like.

Jackie Oshry00:43:48

Perhaps. No, but the thing is, Alfonso won team dance last year. Like, it is possible. And I think with Alfonso, it's almost like that, you know.

Claudia Oshry00:43:55

Brotherly.

Jackie Oshry00:43:55

That—no, and it's, like, fun, and you can have—make it funny, and, like, really working with Julianne, it's, like, obviously going to be so good. So the bar is almost higher. I'm just saying, not that you're wrong, but it doesn't—it's not always so obvious. Like, oh, if you got Alfonso.

Claudia Oshry00:44:08

It was pretty obvious last night. Better song, better team.

Jackie Oshry00:44:10

And they weren't.

Claudia Oshry00:44:11

Better dancers.

Jackie Oshry00:44:11

As Alfonso said. Alfonso was being funny last night. I don't know. Like, he just decided.

Claudia Oshry00:44:15

He.

Jackie Oshry00:44:15

He loosened his tie a little bit.

Claudia Oshry00:44:16

No, he, like, he saw everyone else having fun, and he was like, you know what? Me too.

Jackie Oshry00:44:20

Because he told the judges they're not—they're not judging Julianne and Alfonso.

Claudia Oshry00:44:24

Of course. And he repeated the Tinker Helle joke, which he obviously thought was funny. I thought she might get in trouble for saying Helle. Like, I don't know what the rules are.

Jackie Oshry00:44:30

Maybe. This is a family-friendly.

Claudia Oshry00:44:32

It is. It is.

Jackie Oshry00:44:33

Um, I think it's okay.

Claudia Oshry00:44:36

I think it's okay too. Yeah, I definitely felt him also, like, maybe it's because he knew he was going to dance, and he was, like, excited, and he just, like, was one of the contestants. He definitely had, like, a more relaxed energy.

Jackie Oshry00:44:45

Then the Wildcats went. That was Connor, Ezra, Harry.

Claudia Oshry00:44:50

Jen and Dwan.

Jackie Oshry00:44:51

Jen and Dwan.

Claudia Oshry00:44:52

Like, what are we talking about? It's so stacked. From the beginning of the journey for the team dances, like, between, like, every time—choosing teams, choosing a song, choosing a team name, choosing an outfit—they just chose wrong.

Jackie Oshry00:45:05

I know, but I just feel like maybe you don't like Tatiana's choices, but those are her choices. And perhaps.

Claudia Oshry00:45:10

And by the way, now she—she has to live with those choices.

Jackie Oshry00:45:11

Even, like, Aida or the songs that she has chosen.

Claudia Oshry00:45:13

I don't think she chose Aida. I really don't.

Jackie Oshry00:45:15

We need clarity.

Claudia Oshry00:45:17

Yes, I actually would love to know the process, because Jackson Olsen keeps making these TikToks that, like, he was going to be dancing to The Greatest Showman. I guess, like, he fancies himself, like, a PT Barnum of his generation.

Jackie Oshry00:45:26

No, he's very inspired by Greatest Showman. He said that's what set him on a course of dancing. That movie specifically.

Claudia Oshry00:45:31

Beautiful.

Jackie Oshry00:45:32

I feel similarly about the movie.

Claudia Oshry00:45:33

So he made, like, all these TikToks about how he was going to dance, and then he found out they were including PT Barnum in the, like, intro, and he was like, when you find out. Like, he's honestly, like, really centering himself. It's being really annoying. Um, so I can see, like, him having wanted to dance to that, but also them wanting him to have danced to that. Like, a perfect marriage.

Jackie Oshry00:45:50

Well, maybe Jackson can answer this question. Did the talent get to choose the show they got to dance to? Did Tatiana have any say?

Claudia Oshry00:45:58

Yeah, I would—I would really love to know.

Jackie Oshry00:45:59

And in the last few weeks, I know you didn't like her dance for, um, Super Bowl—her song for Super Bowl night.

Claudia Oshry00:46:05

Yeah, I didn't.

Jackie Oshry00:46:06

Did she choose that? I think you might just not like Tatiana's choices. And that's.

Claudia Oshry00:46:12

Well, it's a team dance. It's an indicator.

Jackie Oshry00:46:14

Yeah, the team she picked. She got to pick all—she got first pick too.

Claudia Oshry00:46:17

I would love to know who picked the outfits.

Jackie Oshry00:46:18

She got first pick.

Claudia Oshry00:46:19

I would love to know who picked the outfits.

Jackie Oshry00:46:21

I'm just saying.

Claudia Oshry00:46:22

Like, Jen and Dwan being chosen last, like, my heart legit broke.

Jackie Oshry00:46:25

Because she's the best dancer.

Claudia Oshry00:46:26

I thought like I was in middle school.

Jackie Oshry00:46:26

Because she's the best dancer.

Claudia Oshry00:46:27

Yeah. Well, because she's obviously the best dancer.

Jackie Oshry00:46:28

And so now that we are where we are, who do you think is Final Four, and who do you think's going to win? As your prediction as of today can keep changing.

Claudia Oshry00:46:35

Ezra. Harry. I think they have to include Jenna, and also I think Maura really doesn't qualify for the Top 40 anymore, so, like, making it even more obvious that it would be Jenna. And Amber. Which is just kind of boring. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:46:52

It is boring.

Claudia Oshry00:46:52

Just, like, the four people who we knew were better dancers than everyone.

Jackie Oshry00:46:55

The whole time.

Claudia Oshry00:46:55

Except for Ezra. And that's why Ezra winning is, like, the only way that we right the wrongs of this season, because—sorry, Harry Shum Jr., you can't win.

Jackie Oshry00:47:02

No, Harry can't win. Jenna can win a little bit, and I think.

Claudia Oshry00:47:06

She doesn't have a lot of fans. People don't like her.

Jackie Oshry00:47:07

More so because she's a woman, you know?

Claudia Oshry00:47:09

Oh.

Jackie Oshry00:47:10

Like, I just feel like.

Claudia Oshry00:47:12

Elaborate on that.

Jackie Oshry00:47:12

I don't know. I just feel like Harry can't win. Right?

Claudia Oshry00:47:15

Fine. I'm fine with that.

Jackie Oshry00:47:16

But I just feel like for Jenna, like, she actually has overcome a little bit more. Yes, she danced in her 20s in Step Up, but, like, she's had children. She's a woman of a certain age. Like.

Claudia Oshry00:47:26

No, no. When you're on too, you think you can dance. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:47:28

I know.

Claudia Oshry00:47:28

I know she hosted it, but, like, you're in the dance world.

Jackie Oshry00:47:30

Yeah, but you—no, no, she's in the dance world for sure, but it's not, like, you know, for men, like, they just get to be, like, physically fit their whole life.

Claudia Oshry00:47:35

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:47:35

Like, never have their body change.

Claudia Oshry00:47:36

No challenges.

Jackie Oshry00:47:37

Like, I don't know how many kids she has, but she's gone up and down, and she—I feel like she, you know, I'm more impressed by her ability to dance so well at this age.

Claudia Oshry00:47:45

She hasn't really, like, changed a lot of hearts and minds besides yours. Like, I—I don't think she has, like, a ton of votes every week. I think it's really her judges' scores that carry her through from week to week. So I think that will stop her from getting the mirror ball. I think, like, Ezra sort of being this, like, unknown to a lot of people, overcoming these enormous challenges. Like, he's obviously the winner. He just needs to keep doing what he's doing.

Jackie Oshry00:48:05

Yeah, I like that. And then I think for Amber, if she does have to go and train, that we could swap her out for Fibula. I think that would be exciting for people.

Claudia Oshry00:48:12

I also think it would be a real underdog story. Like, I think of all the people, like, that we're discussing, Fibula is the only person with zero—actually, no, sorry, Ezra—with zero dance experience. Like, and to see somebody who, like, actually kind of late in the game, like, finally figure it out, it's very inspiring.

Jackie Oshry00:48:28

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:48:28

And people love him, and he represents, like, a huge audience of, like, young Gen Z.

Jackie Oshry00:48:32

So I think putting him in Final Four, like, might be interesting, especially if Amber can't attend.

Claudia Oshry00:48:36

That would be crazy if Fibula made the Final Four. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:48:38

Yeah. Especially because, like, first week.

Claudia Oshry00:48:39

He was on the chopping block for the first 10 weeks.

Jackie Oshry00:48:41

No, and it's, like, first week it was, like, Connor and Connor. Which one will go home? Nobody cares.

Claudia Oshry00:48:44

And it was, like, Connor or Sarah Jane. Like.

Jackie Oshry00:48:47

Are you ready for our next story?

Claudia Oshry00:48:49

I am.

Jackie Oshry00:48:49

The CFDA Awards were last night, and Fashion's Night Out.

Claudia Oshry00:48:55

It was a big night for, like, the it girls. I feel like—I feel like it really cemented, like, who's an it girl right now, you know? Because it wasn't, like, this free-for-all where everyone was invited. Also, a headline for me, like, Alex Rawe being styled by Luxury Law.

Jackie Oshry00:49:07

Yeah, I saw that as well. Also, a headline for me, it felt like a nice change of pace after Halloween, where everyone, like, got down to their skivvies.

Claudia Oshry00:49:13

And, like, dressed like horse. I literally texted you. I said, why is everyone dressed so modest? I loved it.

Jackie Oshry00:49:17

Oh, yeah, and then I was like, you didn't tell me they were horses on Halloween. But yeah, no, there was, like—and Halloween is that sort of energy.

Claudia Oshry00:49:23

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:49:23

And then it just felt like.

Claudia Oshry00:49:25

Totally opposite.

Jackie Oshry00:49:26

Total opposite, which was, like, a nice change of pace. Like, see everyone with their clothes on, like, looking lovely.

Claudia Oshry00:49:30

Literally except Olandria. She was the only person I saw.

Jackie Oshry00:49:32

Except for Olandria.

Claudia Oshry00:49:33

Who didn't wear pants.

Jackie Oshry00:49:33

Who didn't wear pants. She didn't get the memo.

Claudia Oshry00:49:35

That it was modest night.

Jackie Oshry00:49:36

We're putting our pants on. We're wearing hems to the ground.

Claudia Oshry00:49:39

It's snee.

Jackie Oshry00:49:39

And we're covering our bubs. Even Brooks Nader put clothes on.

Claudia Oshry00:49:42

Yes.

Jackie Oshry00:49:42

Yeah, and that's hard.

Claudia Oshry00:49:43

Her head as well.

Jackie Oshry00:49:44

That's hard for Brooksie.

Claudia Oshry00:49:46

I don't really know, like, what the event is or what goes on inside. To be honest, I don't really care.

Jackie Oshry00:49:50

So I think it's really, like, you know, the Oscars of Fashion. Like, awards for fashion. That makes sense. So we had American Women's Wear Designer of the Year went to Rachel Scott for DMTEMA.

Claudia Oshry00:50:01

That's crazy. I've never heard of either of those things.

Jackie Oshry00:50:04

But other—the other people, everyone else you've heard of, uh, Katherine Holstein for Kate, Michael Kors, Tori Burch in Westward.

Claudia Oshry00:50:09

Those are the nominees.

Jackie Oshry00:50:10

Yeah, Westward for Carolina Herrera, but Rachel won for.

Claudia Oshry00:50:13

Let's celebrate the American fashion.

Jackie Oshry00:50:14

DMTEMA, American Men's Wear Designer of the Year went to Ralph Lauren.

Claudia Oshry00:50:18

Classic stuff.

Jackie Oshry00:50:18

It was definitely Ralph's year.

Claudia Oshry00:50:20

It's honestly been Ralph's year for, like, the last five years.

Jackie Oshry00:50:22

I know, but, like, this year, everything is, like, Ralph Lauren core.

Claudia Oshry00:50:25

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:50:25

Like, everyone wants something Ralph.

Claudia Oshry00:50:27

Very inspired by, like, the aesthetic he totally created.

Jackie Oshry00:50:29

Yes. Um, American Accessory Designer of the Year went to Anna Corey.

Claudia Oshry00:50:35

For?

Jackie Oshry00:50:35

I guess that's her—the name of her accessories brand. Uh, Google American Emerging Designer of the Year went to Colleen Allen.

Claudia Oshry00:50:44

Okay.

Jackie Oshry00:50:45

The International Designer of the Year was Anthony Vacciarello for Saint Laurent.

Claudia Oshry00:50:52

All right. I've heard of it.

Jackie Oshry00:50:53

Uh.

Claudia Oshry00:50:54

I'm less interested in the awards, like, more so.

Jackie Oshry00:50:56

Like Fashion Icon of the Year, Peter Marino.

Claudia Oshry00:50:59

I love his work.

Jackie Oshry00:51:00

Positive Change Award.

Claudia Oshry00:51:02

Goes to Jaguars, right?

Jackie Oshry00:51:06

Close, but Tori Burch.

Claudia Oshry00:51:08

Oh, she's a queen. And you know what? The—the, uh, rise and fall of the Tori Burch brand could actually be studied. The way she's, like, so back.

Jackie Oshry00:51:16

Yeah, she's back.

Claudia Oshry00:51:17

100% back. She, like, really leaned on, like, influencer culture, TikTok. She—and her shit's really cute.

Jackie Oshry00:51:21

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:51:22

And after those flats, I thought we were never coming back.

Jackie Oshry00:51:24

Well, those flats, it's hard to, you know, second the flats. Like, those flats are, like, a lightning strike.

Claudia Oshry00:51:29

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:51:29

Lightning doesn't strike twice.

Claudia Oshry00:51:31

It's true. And then, like, the tumultuous divorce.

Jackie Oshry00:51:34

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:51:34

See, wonder. Who could forget? The Spice Store, the original—do you think that Larry David's Curb episode about Spice Store is—it's literally about Sea Wonder.

Jackie Oshry00:51:42

There's a lot of things it's about.

Claudia Oshry00:51:44

What else?

Jackie Oshry00:51:45

Something, like, closer to home I was thinking, but.

Claudia Oshry00:51:49

You're opening a Spice Store?

Jackie Oshry00:51:50

No, I wouldn't.

Claudia Oshry00:51:52

But what are you referring to?

Jackie Oshry00:51:53

Like, I'll tell you offline, but it wouldn't—and nobody would care because they don't.

Claudia Oshry00:51:55

Whisper it. Did you hear that?

Jackie Oshry00:51:59

Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a spite.

Claudia Oshry00:52:00

1000%.

Jackie Oshry00:52:01

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:52:02

I hope to open up a Spice Store one day.

Jackie Oshry00:52:04

Really?

Claudia Oshry00:52:05

Yes. I could see it being something, like, I actually relate—I like that episode of Curb because I can relate to the fact of being, like, so offended, pissed off by something so minute that, like, you literally will, like, go into debt, open up a dumbass store, and then.

Jackie Oshry00:52:17

Then we do it.

Claudia Oshry00:52:17

That episode is so funny when it's like.

Jackie Oshry00:52:19

Then we do it.

Claudia Oshry00:52:19

She goes to the jewelry store. It's like Mila Kunis's Spice Store. Like, funny stuff. Seriously funny stuff.

Jackie Oshry00:52:24

Ben has a Spice Store in his future.

Claudia Oshry00:52:26

Yeah. 1000%.

Jackie Oshry00:52:27

Um, and other awards that, you know, I think are very highbrow and, you know.

Claudia Oshry00:52:32

Let's talk about the notable attendees.

Jackie Oshry00:52:33

Yes.

Claudia Oshry00:52:34

Not only Alex Earl, but Ashton as well.

Jackie Oshry00:52:37

Yes, Ashton also just signed with a modeling agency, so she has decided to model despite Thomas and Mai's advice.

Claudia Oshry00:52:42

100%. Um, who else was there?

Jackie Oshry00:52:47

Um, I'll tell you.

Claudia Oshry00:52:48

It seemed like Alex and, and Ashton were, like, really only one of very few from the interwebs.

Jackie Oshry00:52:54

Julia Fox was there.

Claudia Oshry00:52:56

Okay, she's classic.

Jackie Oshry00:52:57

I like her outfit.

Claudia Oshry00:52:58

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:53:00

Zoe Kravitz, of course.

Claudia Oshry00:53:02

Of course.

Jackie Oshry00:53:02

Gracey Abrams and Colleen Allen, the Emerging Designer of the Year.

Claudia Oshry00:53:06

Oh, yeah, it was very much like the Met Gala, where, like, these random groups of celebrities were all together, and it was because they were all dressed by the same designer. Like, I'm sure you saw Zoe Kravitz, Hailey Bieber, and, like, the gold Luke. I forget who the designer was, but.

Jackie Oshry00:53:17

Yes, Brooks Nader.

Claudia Oshry00:53:18

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:53:19

Looking beautiful.

Claudia Oshry00:53:20

She looks great.

Jackie Oshry00:53:21

Uh, Jessie Murph.

Claudia Oshry00:53:23

Oh, she's like a singer.

Jackie Oshry00:53:24

I've seen her on the internet.

Claudia Oshry00:53:25

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:53:26

I didn't know she was so fashion.

Claudia Oshry00:53:27

I actually saw her perform live.

Jackie Oshry00:53:29

Lola Tong, Belly.

Claudia Oshry00:53:30

Uh, Belly. Belly is very high fashion.

Jackie Oshry00:53:32

Yeah. She should be.

Claudia Oshry00:53:34

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry00:53:35

Uh, Elle Fanning, of course.

Claudia Oshry00:53:38

I just love her. Are you following at all the Hunger Games? Like, movie premiere? They've done a, like, a world tour. They've done like.

Jackie Oshry00:53:46

There's a new Hunger Games movie?

Claudia Oshry00:53:47

Yes, yes.

Jackie Oshry00:53:47

What is it?

Claudia Oshry00:53:48

Hunger Games movie. I don't know.

Jackie Oshry00:53:51

Prequel?

Claudia Oshry00:53:52

I think it's, yeah, it's like a whole new slate. I don't know if literally anyone except maybe Elizabeth Banks. Actually, no. I think it's a prequel, and Elle Fanning plays Effie, a young Elizabeth Banks.

Jackie Oshry00:54:02

That's beautiful.

Claudia Oshry00:54:03

McKenna Grace. Do you know her? She's from Young Sheldon.

Jackie Oshry00:54:06

It sounds familiar.

Claudia Oshry00:54:07

She's like the really smart girl who Sheldon's always beefing with.

Jackie Oshry00:54:09

I'm cracking up.

Claudia Oshry00:54:10

Um, she's like a former child actress. She looks so much like the actress who played, um, Don Draper's daughter, Sally Draper.

Jackie Oshry00:54:17

Kiernan?

Claudia Oshry00:54:18

She looks just like Kiernan when she was a kid, but now she's grown and, um, she's like the new Jennifer Lawrence. There's like—it's like a whole new cast of young talent. And the, uh, world tour has been, like, this huge thing. Everyone, like, is fighting for Lukes and Lukes. Elle Fanning's been looking amazing. Did you see her dressed as, like, a ballerina in, like, a jewelry box?

Jackie Oshry00:54:35

No, all this has missed me.

Claudia Oshry00:54:37

Oh, it's actually been really fabulous to watch.

Jackie Oshry00:54:38

It's not happening for the reels, Mamas.

Claudia Oshry00:54:40

Oh, soon. Give it—give it some time.

Jackie Oshry00:54:42

Um, no, it's okay. I'll stick with my reels, you know? My Algo. Then we have Sarah J Nader got the invite.

Claudia Oshry00:54:51

You're kidding.

Jackie Oshry00:54:52

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry00:54:52

Let me tell you which one.

Jackie Oshry00:54:53

She's with a designer named Brett Hyman.

Claudia Oshry00:54:55

Wow. That's a tough last name.

Jackie Oshry00:54:58

Yeah. Hyman. There's a H.

Claudia Oshry00:55:00

Hopefully.

Jackie Oshry00:55:01

There's an E in there. Uh, Lea Michelle.

Claudia Oshry00:55:05

Olandria.

Jackie Oshry00:55:06

Rosé.

Claudia Oshry00:55:08

Rosé. Suki Waterhouse.

Jackie Oshry00:55:10

Suki Waterhouse.

Claudia Oshry00:55:12

Okay. Fashion's Night Out.

Jackie Oshry00:55:14

Olandria, yeah. The look is an.

Claudia Oshry00:55:17

It's a mess, honestly.

Jackie Oshry00:55:18

It's inappropriate. It's just not.

Claudia Oshry00:55:20

On par with what everyone else is wearing. Maybe she just didn't know.

Jackie Oshry00:55:22

It's just, yeah, it's possible.

Claudia Oshry00:55:24

Like, this is new. It's obviously like a big exciting night for her, and, like, she didn't know.

Jackie Oshry00:55:27

Um, but it would be, like, better elsewhere.

Claudia Oshry00:55:30

Yeah, when in town.

Jackie Oshry00:55:31

The DMAs.

Claudia Oshry00:55:32

Yeah, when in town. Like, I would always rather be, like, over.

Jackie Oshry00:55:34

Dressed.

Claudia Oshry00:55:34

You know, over formal for an event like this.

Jackie Oshry00:55:36

Yes. I agree. And in general, I would say I hate feeling underdressed.

Claudia Oshry00:55:40

Slob.

Jackie Oshry00:55:40

I'm not.

Claudia Oshry00:55:40

Not that she's underdressed, actually.

Jackie Oshry00:55:41

No, no, no. No, I'm just having a separate conversation now.

Claudia Oshry00:55:43

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:55:44

Like, if I—but choosing between being overdressed or underdressed, I would always like to be overdressed. That's just my personality.

Claudia Oshry00:55:49

Same. Except being overdressed is not all it's cracked up to be, because I do feel like you feel like, like you took this so seriously. Like, kind of like a dope.

Jackie Oshry00:55:56

Yes, but the feeling.

Claudia Oshry00:55:57

But the.

Jackie Oshry00:55:57

Of being overdressed and experiencing that, I prefer that feeling over the feeling of being underdressed and experiencing that.

Claudia Oshry00:56:03

Slob, slovenly.

Jackie Oshry00:56:04

Yeah, I just feel like.

Claudia Oshry00:56:05

Slob.

Jackie Oshry00:56:05

Oh, I shouldn't even go to this restaurant.

Claudia Oshry00:56:06

1000%.

Jackie Oshry00:56:07

You actually can't go.

Claudia Oshry00:56:08

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry00:56:08

Because Mommy's not dressed properly.

Claudia Oshry00:56:09

You know, I literally cannot step foot in the door.

Jackie Oshry00:56:11

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry00:56:11

100%.

Jackie Oshry01:01:58

Thank you, first order.

Claudia Oshry01:02:00

You're welcome, my daughter.

Jackie Oshry01:02:01

First order. Next, Justin Timberlake will be releasing a four-part tell-all docuseries featuring Janet Jackson on Apple. So Justin Timberlake is set to release a four-part docuseries on Apple TV in December, described as a tell-all. Three sources confirmed to Variety. One source says the series will feature Janet Jackson discussing the infamous wardrobe malfunction that took place during their performance at the Super Bowl. Another source says that he discusses some of former girlfriend Britney Spears' recent comments as well. Further details on the series, which is directed by Fisher Stevens, were not available at the time of this article's publication.

Reps for Timberlake, Jackson, and Apple had no comment.

Claudia Oshry01:02:42

Clap if you care.

Jackie Oshry01:02:46

Now, of course.

Claudia Oshry01:02:47

They already do this. Modern documentaries have not been kind to Justin Timberlake. His DUI also didn't help. Like, there has been, like, a very sort of catastrophic ending to Justin Timberlake's career in the last couple of years. So I understand him wanting to tell his side of the story. And I'm sure, like, if we heard his side of the story when it comes to Britney, like, sure, there's two sides to every story. And yeah, I guess people do want to get down to the bottom of, like, did he rip her shirt off or, like, did she, you know what I mean? The fact that.

Jackie Oshry01:03:13

Was it planned?

Claudia Oshry01:03:13

The fact that they're doing it together makes it seem like it really was an accident. Um, and that's, like, the story they're both telling, you know? He doesn't want to be known as ripping off someone's shirt. She doesn't want to be known as showing her tits on national television. Like, that's their story and they're sticking to it. I just don't care. And I feel like I've actually, like, I'm one of his biggest haters, but I'm kind of, like, overhating him.

Jackie Oshry01:03:29

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:03:29

He's so not, like, interesting enough for me to even hate. And honestly, when I saw the video of him, um, like, the world tour, like, it was funny and, like, whatever.

Jackie Oshry01:03:36

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:03:36

Like, I'm just kind of over it.

Jackie Oshry01:03:37

Just move down. But I do feel like when you're a celebrity who's fallen out of favor and you're having, like, bad publicity, there's two things you can do. You can do a docuseries or you can do a roast.

Claudia Oshry01:03:47

Or you can do a book.

Jackie Oshry01:03:48

And I think in this situation, a roast is exactly what he needs.

Claudia Oshry01:03:53

Couldn't agree more.

Jackie Oshry01:03:54

Because all of these things are so unserious, except for the DUI, which I do feel like people have moved on from. We've seen the video, and all celebrities have DUIs.

Claudia Oshry01:04:00

Plus the handholding in New Orleans.

Jackie Oshry01:04:01

There's the handholding. But a, a little unserio handholding isn't so serious. Like, and his wife has forgiven him. So all of these things are things that could be poked at by comedians and just make him seem human. And I think that would be the better strategy for him.

Claudia Oshry01:04:15

It's an amazing call.

Jackie Oshry01:04:16

Tom Brady needed a docuseries, not a roast.

Claudia Oshry01:04:19

So it's true. Sometimes people just get their buttons confused. Like, should I press the button for documentary? Should I press the button for.

Jackie Oshry01:04:24

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:04:24

Justin Timberlake.

Jackie Oshry01:04:24

Or, like, in my documentary, I mean, telling your own story. So it can be a documentary, it could be a memoir.

Claudia Oshry01:04:28

Sit down.

Jackie Oshry01:04:28

It could be a sit-down interview, a podcast, whatever.

Claudia Oshry01:04:30

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:04:31

Um, or.

Claudia Oshry01:04:31

Totally.

Jackie Oshry01:04:32

Are we going to make fun of it? Are we going to do serious? Are we going to do funny?

Claudia Oshry01:04:34

And I think it depends on what your crimes are.

Jackie Oshry01:04:35

Yes.

Claudia Oshry01:04:36

And yes, I agree that Justin Timberlake, aside from the DUI, but, like, that's unfortunately just, like, fodder for every celebrity. His crimes are relatively, like, unserious.

Jackie Oshry01:04:42

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:04:43

Except for the, you know, him almost killing someone, um, driving drunk. But yes, I think people would have loved that. It's a way to get in on the joke. And I feel that.

Jackie Oshry01:04:52

Because he right now is just so unlikable. And I think a roast makes you more likable.

Claudia Oshry01:04:57

I also think, like, roast culture has changed. Like, it used to be this thing on Comedy Central.

Jackie Oshry01:05:00

Oh, they're disgusting.

Claudia Oshry01:05:01

Yeah, they're, like, disgusting. Now they're on streamers. So, like, there's really nothing off-limits. Um.

Jackie Oshry01:05:05

And it's like your wife can't be doing the next Seventh Heaven.

Claudia Oshry01:05:08

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:05:08

And you're, you're having disgusting roasts.

Claudia Oshry01:05:10

I wish that they were what they were when, like, Justin Timberlake, really effec no, excuse me, Justin Bieber, really effectively used it to rehabilitate his image. Um, same with Alec Baldwin. I think that was a really successful roast. Now they're just, like, I don't know. They don't follow the same formula. It's like, it could be as long as you want it to be because it's on a streamer. Before it was, like, this 90-minute thing on Comedy Central, and it was, like, great. Yes, he should do a roast. I just wish roasts were, like, not.

Jackie Oshry01:05:37

What they used to be. I mean, and they.

Claudia Oshry01:05:38

They're really nasty now.

Jackie Oshry01:05:39

Yeah, they could be, though. There could be, like, parameters.

Claudia Oshry01:05:42

No, I feel like there are parameters. And that was, like, remember Tom Brady was, like, they were told you can't say stuff about the wife. But everybody did.

Jackie Oshry01:05:47

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:05:47

Like, people don't give a fuck.

Jackie Oshry01:05:48

No, but also in terms of, uh, of the, um.

Claudia Oshry01:05:51

What they air.

Jackie Oshry01:05:52

No, just the kind of what the inappropriateness.

Claudia Oshry01:05:55

Yeah, like the level.

Jackie Oshry01:05:55

You know, the, the disgusting jokes. Like, if it were PG-13 or even, you know, not I think with a roast, everything is on the table.

Claudia Oshry01:06:03

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:06:03

And that's why if it's not for you, don't do a roast.

Claudia Oshry01:06:05

Don't do it.

Jackie Oshry01:06:06

And if your biggest thing that everyone's talking about is your divorce and how you chose football over your divorce, and then you say you can't talk about it, well, then we don't have a roast.

Claudia Oshry01:06:13

You're not a good candidate for a roast.

Jackie Oshry01:06:14

So that's why I think for so many reasons, Tom and Tom Brady, before the roast was likable, he didn't have a likability problem.

Claudia Oshry01:06:20

It's true. And then it's like, well, who the fuck do you think you are? Like, people who, like, will willingly sit down for roasts when you are so well-liked, it's like, okay, well, maybe we shouldn't like you.

Jackie Oshry01:06:29

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:06:30

Yeah, you're almost, like, baiting us into not liking you.

Jackie Oshry01:06:32

So I think a docuseries talking about, like, how hard he worked to be a football player, or would have understood ultimately.

Claudia Oshry01:06:36

You could understand why you didn't give up the decision of never giving it up.

Jackie Oshry01:06:39

Yeah. And he is the greatest of all time. He has six Super Bowl rings.

Claudia Oshry01:06:44

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:06:45

Like, that doesn't just happen. Whatever he did in his life to achieve that is a story worth telling. I don't think making fun of yourself is the right move.

Claudia Oshry01:06:53

100% agreed. I think it was net-net really bad for him. And I could see a world in which if Justin Timberlake had done one properly, like, it really very similar to Justin Bieber, like, or Martha Stewart did one too. Like, it can really change people's opinions of you.

Jackie Oshry01:07:06

Yeah, and you just seem like you're able to take a joke.

Claudia Oshry01:07:08

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry01:07:08

And we could all just move.

Claudia Oshry01:07:09

No, but now we have to watch your four-part series.

Jackie Oshry01:07:11

So serious.

Claudia Oshry01:07:12

I'm not watching this.

Jackie Oshry01:07:13

No, of course not.

Claudia Oshry01:07:13

Don't ask me for a recap. Like.

Jackie Oshry01:07:15

Of course we're not watching it. And the.

Claudia Oshry01:07:17

You guys know I haven't I had to cancel my Apple TV because, like, the Super Bowl.

Jackie Oshry01:07:20

The Super Bowl thing, like, if I think about the Super Bowl thing enough, yeah, it's crazy. Crazy that that happened.

Claudia Oshry01:07:25

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry01:07:26

Um.

Claudia Oshry01:07:27

But I've moved on.

Jackie Oshry01:07:28

I've moved on. I, I don't even know that we'll ever get the truth. Is there a tr a real truth? Like, was it planned? I don't think so because that would be so inappropriate. Kids watch a Super Bowl. Like, that would be disgusting.

Claudia Oshry01:07:40

Agreed.

Jackie Oshry01:07:41

So it was an accident.

Claudia Oshry01:07:43

And then it's a tragedy. Let's stop talking about it.

Jackie Oshry01:07:44

And also, people say, like, Justin, like, knew what he was doing. But, like, you don't expect if you pull at someone's if you pull my shirt, my nipples are not going to show.

Claudia Oshry01:07:52

Yeah, but why was he pulling at her shirt?

Jackie Oshry01:07:54

Why did she just have, like, a nipple pocket? Why did she have a piece of fabric that Justin.

Claudia Oshry01:07:59

Honestly, we might have to watch the documentary to find out.

Jackie Oshry01:08:01

I only wanted to I think someone actually did a documentary on Justin.

Claudia Oshry01:08:05

Just that. And I think he thinks that, like, because so much of his badwill has been fostered from these documentaries, he's like, well, I'll have my own documentary. And it's like, no.

Jackie Oshry01:08:14

No, no, no.

Claudia Oshry01:08:14

You misunderstood.

Jackie Oshry01:08:15

You didn't have to do all that.

Claudia Oshry01:08:16

No, just give us Seventh Heaven the reboot, okay? And we'll forgive you.

Jackie Oshry01:08:19

Yeah. He could be in Seventh Heaven the reboot.

Claudia Oshry01:08:22

Yeah, he could, like, lead the church choir.

Jackie Oshry01:08:24

Yeah, playing very similar character to his character in Bad Teacher.

Claudia Oshry01:08:28

You know, I, like, don't know Bad Teacher.

Jackie Oshry01:08:30

That's why you're.

Claudia Oshry01:08:31

And yeah, we also forget, now that we're, like, taking a look at Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, at a glance, like, his acting career. Friends with Benefits, like, one of the best movies of all time. He actually is an amazing actor. He was in, uh, Social Network, right? He played that asshole.

Jackie Oshry01:08:45

He also should do a roast, and then he should go be a judge on The Voice or something like that.

Claudia Oshry01:08:51

The Voice or shows of that nature is an amazing place to, like, quietly.

Jackie Oshry01:08:56

Partly.

Claudia Oshry01:08:56

Live and just, like, wait for some of the negative feedback from the public to wash over. It comes and goes.

Jackie Oshry01:09:03

He could go on American Idol, but it's a good place for a seasoned artist like himself to just.

Claudia Oshry01:09:08

That's true.

Jackie Oshry01:09:08

Park it and earn some goodwill.

Claudia Oshry01:09:10

Amazing call.

Jackie Oshry01:09:11

But nobody's asking me how should Justin Timberlake rehabilitate his career.

Claudia Oshry01:09:16

Therein lies the issue.

Jackie Oshry01:09:17

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:09:18

My sister.

Jackie Oshry01:09:18

Mm-hmm. Are you ready for our next story?

Claudia Oshry01:09:21

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry01:09:22

Ethan and Heala Kline are divorcing after.

Claudia Oshry01:09:24

She hired Laura Wasser.

Jackie Oshry01:09:26

She hired Laura Wasser.

Claudia Oshry01:09:27

I was shook.

Jackie Oshry01:09:28

She hired.

Claudia Oshry01:09:28

If you guys don't know, like, Laura Wasser.

Jackie Oshry01:09:30

She fired for divorce.

Claudia Oshry01:09:30

What's the equivalent? Like, if you like, hiring Laura it's kind of like hiring Johnny Cochran if you're on Trial for Murder.

Jackie Oshry01:09:37

Was he the.

Claudia Oshry01:09:38

I don't know.

Jackie Oshry01:09:39

Murder?

Claudia Oshry01:09:39

Or Robert Shapiro?

Jackie Oshry01:09:41

He was the murder?

Claudia Oshry01:09:42

She has divorced everyone. Like, who's anyone? Honestly, how much money was their podcast making? Well, also, she is suing him for to cover her legal fees.

Jackie Oshry01:09:51

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:09:51

I guess, yeah. Like, I'm only getting divorced because you cheated on me. Why do I have to pay for this?

Jackie Oshry01:09:54

I feel like that's not so crazy. So she's asking for joint custody of their three kids and spousal support, and she's asking for Ethan to pay her legal fees and for her maiden name to be restored. Those all seem like.

Claudia Oshry01:10:02

Really very reasonable requests.

Jackie Oshry01:10:03

Reasonable things.

Claudia Oshry01:10:04

Honestly, the fact that she's not going for joint, uh, sole custody, like, she probably wouldn't get it because, like, nobody gets sole custody these days. But, like, it's very nice of her.

Jackie Oshry01:10:12

Yeah, she claimed that he was having an affair for months and that after he initially downplayed what happened, he owned up to the cheating about her alleged discovery. She said, "I'm living in a nightmare I can't wake up from. The blowback has been swift. The crew said they refused to work with him while sticking up for Heala. He posted one final comment. I'm working with Heala to urgently remove my ownership and financial stakes in any podcasts, Teddy Fresh, Teddy Glow, or any joint venture that I would profit from. All your support will go directly to Heala and the crew. I do this in the hope that people can still support Heala and the crew without this concern of enriching me.

I know the crew will make an awesome show. They are packed to the brim with the most talented, creative, hilarious, and all-around great people."

Claudia Oshry01:10:50

I don't know about that, but I have now been subjected to, like, you know, of course, in hindsight, there are people I don't know how often they do a show, but it was him and his wife hosting this show. And the girl he ended up having an affair with was, like, some intern who had a microphone and slowly became.

Jackie Oshry01:11:05

How many microphones did they have on the show?

Claudia Oshry01:11:06

They have a couple. You know, the producer has one.

Jackie Oshry01:11:08

ViaVox.

Claudia Oshry01:11:08

It's not just the two of them. Yeah, right. There's, like, people all around.

Jackie Oshry01:11:10

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:11:11

And there's some streams with Heala, without.

Jackie Oshry01:11:13

Yeah, okay. Like ViaVox.

Claudia Oshry01:11:14

And this girl, this sort of, like, nerdy-looking girl joined a while ago and, like, slowly incorporated herself into the fabric of the show. And so now, you know, in hindsight, people are finding clips. Nobody thought anything at the time. I guess the idea that he would cheat on his wife with this, like, literal random intern is, like, so preposterous. So now people are going back. And I've seen a lot of the clips of just, like, they talk about weird things. They're, like, like, inappropriate things. So, like, it's all weird.

Jackie Oshry01:11:39

Yeah, and it's like you could find a clip of him talking to a different microphone and.

Claudia Oshry01:11:42

Yes.

Jackie Oshry01:11:43

In the context of an affair, that's weird too.

Claudia Oshry01:11:45

Yes. But no, there's a lot of evidence.

Jackie Oshry01:11:47

Show.

Claudia Oshry01:11:48

No, I'll have to start sending them to you. They're, like, these long clips. And I find myself watching them. I am really compelled by this, like.

Jackie Oshry01:11:52

Show is good?

Claudia Oshry01:11:52

Sort of. No, no, by the dynamics of this, like, genuine freak show. Like, everyone is weird. Like, it's just and Heala is, like, she at least just from what I've seen from the clips, she's almost, like, slowly being, like, written out of the show. Like, she's never on camera.

Jackie Oshry01:12:06

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:12:06

Like, she's there and no one listens to her. And it's just, like, him going back and forth with this, like, curly-haired intern. It is so weird, this saga. Like, I understand if you're really invested in this family and this podcast.

Jackie Oshry01:12:15

I'm fighting it.

Claudia Oshry01:12:16

Why this is, like, insane. Like, because I barely know the players. I'm like, oh, you're all fucking weird. Like, it's very strange.

Jackie Oshry01:12:22

And I guess I saw that he dressed up for Halloween, like, one year, and he was cat in the hat, and Heala was thing one and the intern was thing two.

Claudia Oshry01:12:30

Okay, that's insane.

Jackie Oshry01:12:32

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:12:33

No, these people are just fucking weird. Like, of course, we can talk about the ethics of having an affair, whatever. But, like, baseline, these are just, like, nerds who got like, deeply uncool people who are famous.

Jackie Oshry01:12:42

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:12:43

Um, and that's always interesting to watch. It really is.

Jackie Oshry01:12:45

I feel like that happens on the internet a lot. That's sort of the point of the internet.

Claudia Oshry01:12:47

It happens a lot with celebrities too. Like, because you think about it, they're just, like, theater kids.

Jackie Oshry01:12:51

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:12:51

Who aren't, like, inherently cool. And then you, like, hear them in an interview and you're like, you guys are weird. Like, Amanda Seyfried, she's weird.

Jackie Oshry01:12:56

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:12:57

Like, well, yeah, she's weird.

Jackie Oshry01:12:59

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:13:00

So, um, the Laura Wasser of this all really threw me. I I guess I maybe didn't know how successful the podcast was. You do have to be, like, a, a woman of a certain stature to get a meeting with Laura Wasser.

Jackie Oshry01:13:09

Well, I do feel like the podcast is successful.

Claudia Oshry01:13:11

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:13:12

And they do.

Claudia Oshry01:13:12

But it's not like she's at Wasser and Cooper & Cooper.

Jackie Oshry01:13:13

They're, like, in a like, an H3 world over there where it's, like.

Claudia Oshry01:13:16

They have multiple shows, networks, yes.

Jackie Oshry01:13:18

Yeah, and I could imagine if you're in it, like, it's very profitable. And if you if you don't listen to it, you've never heard of it, you know?

Claudia Oshry01:13:23

Yeah, everyone is really, um, interested in what Tricia Paytas has to say. Do you know how they're all connected?

Jackie Oshry01:13:29

Tricia? Oh, yeah, brother-in-law.

Claudia Oshry01:13:30

Right. Um, the.

Jackie Oshry01:13:32

She's married to Heala's brother.

Claudia Oshry01:13:33

Yes, the they don't speak. None of them. The breakup of the podcast was the breakup of their family. Like, they do not speak. Um, Tricia did then she's doing press right now. I think she wrote a book or something, so she went on Jay Shetty. So she did say on her podcast, like, I said all of this stuff about Heala and Ethan before I knew. So, like, you're watching all these interviews thinking that it's, like, current.

Jackie Oshry01:13:54

A prophecy.

Claudia Oshry01:13:54

She doesn't know, but she does talk about, like, how awful they were to her. Like, so she doesn't feel bad. She still hates him. Her husband, who's, like, this is her sister, did, I think, like, a little piece on their podcast about it too. Um, she does not fuck with them. And, like, she doesn't feel bad. Like, she's not sending her sympathies. Like, she seriously hates these people.

Jackie Oshry01:14:12

Crazy.

Claudia Oshry01:14:13

It's a really tangled web they weave over there.

Jackie Oshry01:14:14

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:14:16

Laura Wasser.

Jackie Oshry01:14:17

Our fifth and final story, some holiday news to get into the spirit. Olivia Rodrigo will be releasing her first holiday song, Take Me Home, parentheses, for Christmas.

Claudia Oshry01:14:26

Okay.

Jackie Oshry01:14:26

With a music video starring Cynthia Nixon and SNL's.

Claudia Oshry01:14:30

Ben Marshall.

Jackie Oshry01:14:31

Ben Marshall.

Claudia Oshry01:14:32

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:14:32

Who's that?

Claudia Oshry01:14:34

You love him, Jackie. He's part of the trio. He's the red-headed one.

Jackie Oshry01:14:36

He's part of the dry guys?

Claudia Oshry01:14:38

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:14:38

Burn After Eating?

Claudia Oshry01:14:39

Burn this project. What's who we're going to cut.

Jackie Oshry01:14:41

Do not disturb.

Claudia Oshry01:14:42

No.

Jackie Oshry01:14:42

Burn. Do do not open.

Claudia Oshry01:14:48

It's a mix of everything we're saying. Hold on. Don't.

Jackie Oshry01:14:51

Destroy this. Destroy.

Claudia Oshry01:14:53

Must destroy this.

Jackie Oshry01:14:55

Burn and destroy.

Claudia Oshry01:14:59

It was a little comedy troupe. What are they called? Um.

Jackie Oshry01:15:04

Burn After Eating.

Claudia Oshry01:15:06

No, no, that's not it.

Jackie Oshry01:15:09

Must destroy.

Claudia Oshry01:15:10

Must destroy this, right? I think that's what it is. Um.

Jackie Oshry01:15:14

What is it?

Claudia Oshry01:15:14

He's, like, a comedy. Please don't destroy. Fuck.

Jackie Oshry01:15:17

I think we said that.

Claudia Oshry01:15:18

You didn't. Um.

Jackie Oshry01:15:19

Please don't destroy.

Claudia Oshry01:15:20

It's so polite. It didn't even occur to us. So I love the idea. Like, to me, not enough celebrities can release music.

Jackie Oshry01:15:28

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:15:28

About the holidays. They're all so good. When you hear it the first time, it's like, whatever. But they all very slowly become, like, incorporated into Christmas culture. Of course, Christmas Tree Farm, Ariana Grande, like, everything she's ever done, Christmas cover, new.

Jackie Oshry01:15:40

Kelly.

Claudia Oshry01:15:41

Kelly is all I ever wanted. That's an original, right?

Jackie Oshry01:15:45

Yes. I want to say I think Kelly's number one for me of Christmas. I know, like, Mariah Carey because All I Want For Christmas. And she has, like, three great Christmas songs.

Claudia Oshry01:15:53

Who does?

Jackie Oshry01:15:54

Oh, Santa. Mariah Carey.

Claudia Oshry01:15:55

She has three?

Jackie Oshry01:15:56

Yeah, she does.

Claudia Oshry01:15:57

She has one.

Jackie Oshry01:15:58

No, no, she also has a rendition of Oh, Santa. That's amazing.

Claudia Oshry01:16:01

A cover?

Jackie Oshry01:16:02

Yes.

Claudia Oshry01:16:02

I'm talking about originals.

Jackie Oshry01:16:04

Oh.

Claudia Oshry01:16:05

All I Want For Christmas is originals.

Jackie Oshry01:16:06

Kelly also has also covers that are amazing.

Claudia Oshry01:16:07

Yeah, of course. But Kelly has multiple.

Jackie Oshry01:16:08

But I think all in all, like, my favorite Christmas artist is Kelly Clarkson, period.

Claudia Oshry01:16:12

You're absolutely.

Jackie Oshry01:16:13

Wrapped in red.

Claudia Oshry01:16:14

And I'm actually really looking forward to seeing what she does this season now that she's not bound by the constraints of her daytime talk show.

Jackie Oshry01:16:19

Yeah. I don't know what she'll but she has two amazing Christmas albums that, like, we have to have and to hold.

Claudia Oshry01:16:26

And her she's the one who wrote the one that she sings with Ariana Grande, Whoa.

Jackie Oshry01:16:30

Oh, that one's amazing.

Claudia Oshry01:16:30

Whoa.

Jackie Oshry01:16:31

That's the best. It's just, like, two people being insane.

Claudia Oshry01:16:33

Insane. Every year, like, around this time, it comes up, like, constantly in my algorithm. I will never not stop and watch the whole thing. It is a masterclass in artistry, in vocalism, in queeniness. It's the best thing I've ever seen in my whole life. That was a Christmas special that Kelly taped or Ariana taped?

Jackie Oshry01:16:52

Maybe Kelly. I feel like she's a Christmas special kind of gal.

Claudia Oshry01:16:56

I hope she hasn't severed ties with the network, you know, because when she was the NBC darling, she was also hosting the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting ceremony. She performed multiple times. Um, I hope that her contract is still, uh, valid.

Jackie Oshry01:17:06

Yeah, she's sort of she's the Christmas queen, actually.

Claudia Oshry01:17:09

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:17:09

And her album's called When Christmas Comes Around. That's the second one, which is also a sleigh.

Claudia Oshry01:17:13

And to be honest, like, everybody's saying Mariah Carey is the queen of Christmas. Like, we don't really talk about how she's actually not. Kelly Clarkson is.

Jackie Oshry01:17:19

Yeah. And she's so bashful about it, but I'll say it.

Claudia Oshry01:17:22

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:17:22

On her behalf.

Claudia Oshry01:17:23

Yeah, I'm sure you saw, like, Mariah Carey did this huge campaign with Gucci. Like, it's time. And it's just, like, she's the queen of Christmas. And it's like, yeah, girl, get your bag. And you do have, like, an amazing, amazing song.

Jackie Oshry01:17:32

And that song is the number one Christmas song of all time.

Claudia Oshry01:17:34

It's the record-setting. Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:17:35

But for the pop girlies, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, and 10 are Kelly Clarkson.

Claudia Oshry01:17:40

It's true.

Jackie Oshry01:17:40

So who's the queen of Christmas?

Claudia Oshry01:17:43

Sound out for the comments.

Jackie Oshry01:17:44

Well, Olivia Rodrigo's coming for the crown. She has a holiday song coming out soon. It will be called Take Me Home for Christmas.

Claudia Oshry01:17:51

Cute. Like, I really love I can't have enough. I think that this space is honestly undersaturated.

Jackie Oshry01:17:57

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:17:58

And I want more.

Jackie Oshry01:17:58

Mm-hmm. I agree.

Claudia Oshry01:17:59

Taylor's is so good.

Jackie Oshry01:18:01

Oh, so good.

Claudia Oshry01:18:02

It's so good. And when she released it, I remember thinking, like, this is so random, but it has completely ingrained itself in the fabric of American Christmas.

Jackie Oshry01:18:08

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:18:08

Like, it's so cute.

Jackie Oshry01:18:10

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:18:10

Ugh, I think it's time, like, to start listening to Christmas music in the house as well.

Jackie Oshry01:18:13

I think so too. Maybe I'll, like, put I'll, like, you know, exert a little willpower for a few days so when I do listen, like, I'm so ready.

Claudia Oshry01:18:19

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:18:19

And maybe, like, my birthday will be the.

Claudia Oshry01:18:21

I think that's like the.

Jackie Oshry01:18:22

Gently chapter.

Claudia Oshry01:18:22

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:18:22

Right? Because I do need to, like, come down from Halloween. People still have their decorations up.

Claudia Oshry01:18:25

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry01:18:25

Like, you guys get it together.

Claudia Oshry01:18:27

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:18:27

I don't want to see your old skeletons on me.

Claudia Oshry01:18:28

Not on my birthday.

Jackie Oshry01:18:29

No, I don't like, you need to take down your Halloween.

Claudia Oshry01:18:31

You have until my birthday.

Jackie Oshry01:18:32

To take down your Halloween decorations.

Claudia Oshry01:18:34

It's one whole week, October 31st to November 6th. That's one.

Jackie Oshry01:18:36

I think that's so fair, especially with Halloween being on a Saturday this year. Like, it was a hungover Sunday. Yesterday, it rained all day. It's gloomy today. You have by EOW.

Claudia Oshry01:18:44

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:18:45

That's all else.

Claudia Oshry01:18:45

And I'm not such, like, a decoration Nazii when it comes to Christmas. Like, honestly, leave them up.

Jackie Oshry01:18:48

Leave them up forever. Until daylight savings, honestly.

Claudia Oshry01:18:51

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:18:51

As long as it's.

Claudia Oshry01:18:52

It's a winter thing.

Jackie Oshry01:18:52

It's a winter.

Claudia Oshry01:18:53

It's not a Christmas thing.

Jackie Oshry01:18:54

It's a winter thing. As long as it's dark out early, I do need your Christmas lights.

Claudia Oshry01:18:59

Now, if your Halloween decor is more, like, autumnal and fall, I will allow it through Thanksgiving.

Jackie Oshry01:19:04

I agree, and I will be leaving out my pumpkin mat still then.

Claudia Oshry01:19:06

Yes, if you have, like, cutesy leaves and pumpkins and just, like.

Jackie Oshry01:19:09

Autumnal.

Claudia Oshry01:19:10

Even, like, scarecrows. Scarecrow's a little Halloween. I'll allow it. But, like, spooky, scary skeletons send shivers down your spine, October 31st.

Jackie Oshry01:19:18

Spiderwebs gone.

Claudia Oshry01:19:20

Spiderwebs gone. Black cats, things of that nature, gone. Ghosts, ghouls, goblins, gone.

Jackie Oshry01:19:24

Graveyards.

Claudia Oshry01:19:25

Uh, gone.

Jackie Oshry01:19:26

Gone. Yeah, I'm over it.

Claudia Oshry01:19:29

I'm over it. And I'm sat the fuck down for Christmas. I need to go. I feel like there are these, like, neighborhoods.

Jackie Oshry01:19:36

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:19:36

Like, they're always on, like, the local news that, like.

Jackie Oshry01:19:38

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:19:38

Go I need to go.

Jackie Oshry01:19:39

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:19:39

Like, I fucking love.

Jackie Oshry01:19:40

Like, that movie.

Claudia Oshry01:19:41

What?

Jackie Oshry01:19:42

Danny DeVito.

Claudia Oshry01:19:43

Did you see Danny DeVito? Like, why didn't nobody tell me this was happening? Royal Albert Hall held, like, a Symphony of the Matilda soundtrack, and Danny DeVito was sat in his costume the entire time reading the, um, like, narration of the film.

Jackie Oshry01:19:57

Right.

Claudia Oshry01:19:58

And then at the end, like, the cast comes out. Like, I didn't really care about that because I honestly don't know these people. But, like, I'm hearing the soundtrack. Is it Hans Zimmer? It's literally the most gorgeous thing. He's there dressed as the dad with his, like, very sort of paternal, even though he's, like, the villain in the movie, beautiful voice. It's like, why didn't nobody tell me about that? Like, that was I literally would have flown to go see it.

Jackie Oshry01:20:15

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:20:16

It looked amazing.

Jackie Oshry01:20:16

That should go on tour.

Claudia Oshry01:20:17

Take it on tour.

Jackie Oshry01:20:18

Mm-hmm. They've done that for other things, like Game of Thrones. Um.

Claudia Oshry01:20:20

Yeah, they do it for a lot of Hans Zimmer ones, right?

Jackie Oshry01:20:22

Yeah, it's pretty cool.

Claudia Oshry01:20:24

It sounds like a like, an actual gorgeous night at the Symphony. I would love to attend.

Jackie Oshry01:20:27

Yeah, we should attend.

Claudia Oshry01:20:30

Take it on the road.

Jackie Oshry01:20:32

Yeah, there are some cool I've seen some, like, cool things. It's, like, a candles thing with, like have you seen this? It's, like, concerts of, like, movie soundtracks or, like, on Valentine's Day, they'll do, like, love songs.

Claudia Oshry01:20:42

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry01:20:42

And it's, like, orchestral concerts, and it's, like, a bunch of candles and stuff.

Claudia Oshry01:20:46

Parji.

Jackie Oshry01:20:47

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:20:47

I love a candle. Parji.

Jackie Oshry01:20:49

Very cool, yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:20:50

Yeah, sure.

Jackie Oshry01:20:51

Okay, let's go.

Claudia Oshry01:20:51

Fuck me up.

Jackie Oshry01:20:52

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:20:52

Let's go.

Jackie Oshry01:20:52

We should go to a Christmas one.

Claudia Oshry01:20:54

Like, sure. Yeah, like, let's fucking go. I'm so sad for Christmas. Like.

Jackie Oshry01:20:57

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:20:57

It's literally the greatest time of year.

Jackie Oshry01:20:59

It is. And it's it's here. So even though it's, like, getting dark earlier, bummer.

Claudia Oshry01:21:03

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:21:04

Major bummer.

Claudia Oshry01:21:05

It's not even the dark earlier that's really pissing me off. It's the bright earlier. Like, seriously, let me sleep. Let me live. And honestly, this is the first year I really experienced it. You know, me and my sleep schedule for the chil-children. I'm, like, an actual Nazi. It's been hell.

Jackie Oshry01:21:18

The the change?

Claudia Oshry01:21:19

The change has been hell.

Jackie Oshry01:21:20

I actually thought.

Claudia Oshry01:21:21

I had a strict 7:30 to 7:30 child. 7:30 to 6:20. This morning, we got 6:40. And I'm hoping we're just going to keep extending back to 7:30. Like, any tips? I'm in hell. Sound off in the comments. Like, I need that extra 45 minutes in the morning.

Jackie Oshry01:21:32

I will say I think daylight savings being the day after Halloween was a sleigh because.

Claudia Oshry01:21:37

Oh.

Jackie Oshry01:21:38

It encouraged all of us, like, oh, don't feel bad about keeping your kids out late because they should be going to sleep a little later anyway to cheat the next day.

Claudia Oshry01:21:44

They worked. But it didn't work.

Jackie Oshry01:21:44

No, but it's, like, at least nobody felt bad about staying out late because it felt like we had a purpose.

Claudia Oshry01:21:48

Yeah, but the purpose didn't work. But yes.

Jackie Oshry01:21:50

But that night, remember we realized.

Claudia Oshry01:21:52

We were all like, let's go.

Jackie Oshry01:21:53

We realized we were like, oh, well, they need to sleep an hour later, so we have an extra hour.

Claudia Oshry01:21:56

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:21:56

And it was just, like it was great for morale, even if it didn't pan out to make it all.

Claudia Oshry01:21:59

I love the spin like, the beautiful positive spin.

Jackie Oshry01:22:00

No, because otherwise, you would have been, like, we need to go home now. And instead, like, you and Ben were actually relaxed about it.

Claudia Oshry01:22:05

Okay, the thing is, I'm a true bedtime sleep Nazi, like, abs and I wear that as a badge of pride. Like, my whole day revolves around my nap, like, 1,000%. But when it comes to, like, special moments at night, I'm all about keeping Fu awake.

Jackie Oshry01:22:16

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:22:16

Like, seriously, we go to bed at midnight. Like, if when we were planning on going to Disney, but we didn't, I was like, no, I'm taking them to the fireworks. We will get home at 10:00 p.m. That actually, I'm really, like, relaxed about.

Jackie Oshry01:22:25

That's good.

Claudia Oshry01:22:26

But yes, otherwise, like, life revolves around the sleep. Sleep revolves around the life.

Jackie Oshry01:22:30

Mm-hmm.

Claudia Oshry01:22:30

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Jackie Oshry01:22:31

I don't mind it being sunny earlier and the sun coming up because I am trying to wake up earlier.

Claudia Oshry01:22:35

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:22:36

That's a goal of mine. And I was going to wait till, like, make it my New Year's resolution.

Claudia Oshry01:22:39

Mm-hmm.

Jackie Oshry01:22:40

But I was like, what if I just start on Monday?

Claudia Oshry01:22:41

Oh.

Jackie Oshry01:22:41

So it's going well so far.

Claudia Oshry01:22:43

And I feel like, now that we're talking about resolutions, I just want to say I don't have any.

Jackie Oshry01:22:48

I think that's a good resolution for me is to, like, wake up earlier. I'm trying to, like.

Claudia Oshry01:22:52

100%.

Jackie Oshry01:22:52

Do it in increments. Um.

Claudia Oshry01:22:55

Waking up early, like, is a sleigh.

Jackie Oshry01:22:56

It's a it's a life hack.

Claudia Oshry01:22:58

It is.

Jackie Oshry01:22:58

I could get.

Claudia Oshry01:22:59

Chrishenner.

Jackie Oshry01:22:59

I could get dinner in the crock pot.

Claudia Oshry01:23:01

Chrishenner literally wakes up at 4:00 or 5:00.

Jackie Oshry01:23:03

I know. I saw that she was saying, like, that that's how she.

Claudia Oshry01:23:06

She trained herself to do it when she was younger.

Jackie Oshry01:23:07

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:23:08

And she says, like, it is the hack to her success.

Jackie Oshry01:23:10

I know. And that's why I feel like my success sort of has a limit because I'm not a morning person.

Claudia Oshry01:23:15

No.

Jackie Oshry01:23:15

It's very hard for me to wake up.

Claudia Oshry01:23:17

My success definitely has a limit. And I feel at this moment in time, like, I am okay with that because I need my extra 45 minutes.

Jackie Oshry01:23:23

Yeah, plus I don't like doing photo shoots. Another limit.

Claudia Oshry01:23:25

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:23:26

I'm limited.

Claudia Oshry01:23:26

Did you see our email that we actually have another photo shoot coming up?

Jackie Oshry01:23:29

I'm limited. I saw that we have a photo shoot coming up. I don't know what it's for.

Claudia Oshry01:23:33

Okay. I'll tell you about it later.

Jackie Oshry01:23:34

You'll tell me later.

Claudia Oshry01:23:35

And also, just one more thing. I meant to tell you this. I feel like you're like, because you were saying we're obviously, like, having a big celebrity sort of, like, quarter with the Golden Globes and, like, we're so viral.

Jackie Oshry01:23:45

Oh, like, we're.

Claudia Oshry01:23:46

And I think you can actually, like, in our line of business, we have to be really comfortable knowing, like, we go through highs and lows.

Jackie Oshry01:23:50

Yeah.

Claudia Oshry01:23:50

Like, we've been doing this. You don't, you know, get where we are for 10 years without peaks and valleys. And I think it's always important to understand when you're in a valley and understand when you're in a peak and understand that the moment won't last forever. But sometimes it's hard to measure. You're like, am I in a flop era right now? And I think based on the number of photo shoots you've, like, had recently and have coming up, that's a good marker for, unfortunately, like, where you're at success-wise. Like, right now, we're obviously having a moment.

Jackie Oshry01:24:13

Yeah, we have.

Claudia Oshry01:24:13

Yeah, we will have had three photo shoots in Q4.

Jackie Oshry01:24:15

But I think a lot of unsuccessful people have a lot of photo shoots.

Claudia Oshry01:24:18

Well, that's true, but not at the level we're having these photo shoots at.

Jackie Oshry01:24:21

I'm just saying, like, people just, like, have photo shoots.

Claudia Oshry01:24:22

Yes.

Jackie Oshry01:24:23

They think if they, like if you build it, they will come.

Claudia Oshry01:24:25

Yes, but for us, like, people who are anti-photo shoot, like, sometimes we can't get away with not having a photo shoot. So I think if you ever want to know if you're in, like, a flop or a sleigh era.

Jackie Oshry01:24:32

Oh, so I've been feeling a flop era for the last three years?

Claudia Oshry01:24:34

Yeah.

Jackie Oshry01:24:35

I had no clue.

Claudia Oshry01:24:36

Yeah, well, now you know. The more you know.

Jackie Oshry01:24:39

Because our last photo shoot was literally three years ago for our new cover art.

Claudia Oshry01:24:45

Well.

Jackie Oshry01:24:45

So.

Claudia Oshry01:24:46

Q4.

Jackie Oshry01:24:47

I think that's not true.

Claudia Oshry01:24:48

No, I'm telling you it's true.

Jackie Oshry01:24:50

Okay.

Claudia Oshry01:24:50

Like, it's really, like in the business that we're in, it's kind of a marker of success.

Jackie Oshry01:24:56

That's so crazy. I actually hard disagree because I think of like, I can think of people who are always having some sort of photo shoot.

Claudia Oshry01:25:03

Well, you are right about the fact that, like, photo shoot culture has gotten out of control. But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about, like, real, like, things that we have to do.

Jackie Oshry01:25:09

Yeah, that we have to shoot.

Claudia Oshry01:25:11

Yeah, like, models have to model, you know?

Jackie Oshry01:25:13

No, I understand.

Claudia Oshry01:25:14

Well, that is our show. A nice long one for you and a laughing.

Jackie Oshry01:25:17

And a laugh.

Claudia Oshry01:25:18
