Good morning, girlies, it's The Toast.
It's Jax and Claude and we're your hosts.
It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's The Toast.
I sound amazing.
Welcome back to The Toast and happy Monday. I have to report my flu-like symptoms have subsided. I'm so back. Yay, she's feeling better. You can probably hear it like in like the the sort of chipper nature of my voice.
Yes, we can hear it in the chipper nature.
In the chipper nature. And although my flu-like symptoms have subsided, it didn't stop us from spending no time together this weekend. Like, I was just sort of quarantined. So hey, how are you?
I'm good, how are you? I've missed you.
You did?
I don't even think I saw you since Toast.
No, I like ran out of here.
Which is nuts.
I was so not feeling good. Which is nuts. I'm not staying in Jackie's house anymore, by the way. I just wanna make that clear.
Oh yeah, no, she wasn't in my room.
I wasn't in her room, like quarantined. So I really didn't see you all weekend. How are you? How was your weekend?
I'm good, my weekend was great. Lots of fun. Cowboys won.
Huge for the community.
Go Cowboys.
So did the Chiefs. I happen to be like on the channel.
How did the 49ers do?
I'm not sure.
'Cause you know, like that's your family team.
Yeah, like in our family, like Jackie's family's the Cowboys team.
Like the Weinerts love the Cowboys, Shapiro's love the Giants, and the Saffords—
And we're not really like a football family. We're the Knicks, obviously.
The Saffords love the 49ers.
And so all the kids are like, does Ruby love 49ers? I'm like, sure, yeah, I bought him a shirt.
No, they asked you what does Ruby love? And like, if you think about what team you and Ben love, like it's the one where you know the most people.
Oh, and actually I saw Olivia Culpo's story. I think they won.
And it's the 49ers.
Yeah.
And of course Ruby feels a kinship to Colette McCaffrey.
Of course, his fellow mogul, Picolette CEO and founder. Um, yeah. Yeah. So I mean, it's a great weekend, but I literally didn't see you.
Yeah, I know. So we have a lot of catching up to do.
Yeah. I bought a pair of sunglasses. Not a big deal. I went to the mall. It was so hot yesterday.
Yeah, it was. But it's like better than it's been. It was in the 80s. It's been in the 90s.
Um, it was in the 90s yesterday.
Was it?
Like the mall was popping. The only place to be was the mall.
That's great.
Oh my God. Air conditioning was pumping.
We were watching football. Oh, and major update in my life. I'm now an intramural mom. Um, and more than that, and I didn't know what kind of like intramural sports mother I would be.
I could have guessed.
Let me tell you, I'm very intense.
Well, you know what? We were actually raised by a crazy intramural sport parent. Our dad used to come and like legit embarrass the shit out of us. Like get thrown out screaming, screaming. And we were, we were like pretty good. So like, I get why it was like fun and exciting for him. So it's. It's kind of in your blood.
It is in my blood. And I'm a competitive person.
You are.
Like I said, I'm in it to win it. Which, by the way, remind me, I wanna say one more thing about Dancing with the Stars.
Sure, sure, sure.
But all that aside, we started intramural sports and I got to see what kind of, you know, soccer mom I will be.
I got to hear what kind of mom you would be.
Let me tell you, I'm not staying in my seat.
No, of course not. Who could?
Eyes on the ball, eyes on the ball!
You're literally gonna get kicked out.
And more than just being like an intense soccer mom, I'm also the coach's wife.
Huge responsibility, by the way. Did you provide snacks?
We did provide snacks.
You did?
Uh, yes. Our family was in charge of snacks this year.
Like, are you always in charge of snacks or each kid takes a turn?
No, just, just yesterday was our turn for snacks. It's honestly a lot of pressure and I understand.
Worse.
Like, I would love to do orange.
Especially in this day and age, like, oh, diet, allergies.
Of course. I would love to do orange slices because I think that's a great, like, you don't want like a, a thick snack.
A sugary, yeah.
No. Or even we wound up going with pretzels.
A timeless classic.
I know, but like, it's a very drying snack when you're in the middle of an intense sporting game.
I guess that's true. And what beverages did you provide? Simply water?
Small water bottles. Small individual water bottles. Like, I think that one I felt good about. I wasn't gonna do juice. Like, we need to hydrate them.
No, no, no. When we used to play like intramural leagues, like, we were literally eating like Pop 'Em donuts, sugary sodas on the sidelines. Like, times have changed. You cannot pull shit like that anymore. So it's Thrive Market or bust.
Yeah. So we got Pretzels, 'cause I felt like that was safe. But it was also like, I don't know, like pretzels didn't feel right. So we also got like the mango fruit strips.
Love that.
Yeah. A little fruity.
Did you happen to get grain-free pretzels? Like you never know with these kids.
No, we didn't.
Pretzels are like pretty allergen.
They are. They're pretty safe.
Yeah.
They're pretty safe. And like, if you're allergic to pretzels, like you probably brought your own snack.
If you're allergic to pretzels, like I don't think you can play in an intramural league. Like it's sort of a dire circumstance.
So not only was I the mom, but I'm the coach's wife, which is a lot of responsibility. Ain't it good to be the coach?
That begs the question, ain't it good to be the coach? It is. Is it? Or is it a lot of pressure?
It is. So far it's been great.
Are you gonna be hosting like team practice at your house?
Like—
I think so. We need to practice.
Big time. So you lost?
We definitely need to practice.
Are they at the age where like they declare winners and losers? I feel like for a while— oh, they did. So you were just a big loser.
Yeah.
I feel like for a while, um, I thought they don't like— and kids need to lose. I'm sorry. Like it's not like, oh, one, well, one of you stunk and one of you didn't. But I feel like in this day and age, like until they like 10, they don't tell them who wins and who— like what the score is.
Oh, not in wherever I am, like, which is good.
Like, I wouldn't enroll in a league that doesn't have winners and losers.
And you know what, now like we have something to work towards.
Of course.
Um, those kids were definitely bigger than our kids though.
Like, the odds were stacked against you.
It's true. It was like Lobo Gym.
Literally.
Yeah.
And you're just average Joes.
And we were average, average Jaxx's. But we're gonna take the championship.
Hey, Jackie, it's just the beginning.
It's just the beginning. Eyes on the ball, team Ben!
I'm rooting for you, I'm rooting for you.
Team Ben!
That is hilarious.
Yeah, it was hysterical, so that's what I was up to.
Well, I was just like kind of losing sleep, you know? Do I look tired?
No, you look beautiful.
Not a trick question.
I feel like I've been put into a coma.
No, not a trick question. I had such a crazy evening. I had this like, you know, the pregnancy dreams are just horrible.
Vivid.
So I had this absolutely like horrendous dream that Ben died, and when I like woke up in the middle of the night like choking, I couldn't get over it. Like I woke Ben up, and like literally I probably laid in bed crying for 2 hours. Like I literally couldn't go to sleep. to sleep. Finally go back to sleep, only for like my alarm to come up 30 minutes later. And so obviously I was in such a bad mood because I had just fallen back asleep. And so I'm like spending the whole morning like raging at Ben, and he was like, you were literally 5 minutes ago crying that you were gonna miss me so much when I died, and now you're screaming at me. The duality of woman.
The duality of woman. I just remembered my dream. Um, it was very vivid and kind of a nightmare.
Are you pregnant?
No, it was that I decided to sit down for an interview Such as this? It was like a— it was like an interview with a photo shoot where they were gonna like make me look ugly on purpose, you know?
Oh my God, why would you sit down for that?
I don't know.
Who was the interviewer?
I don't know. And I just— it's like some weird girl, and she said like she had watched 2 Patreon videos, and like she didn't— it wasn't even a fan. I was already like planning in my head what I was gonna text my publicist, like, how dare you?
I'm cracking up. That is a nightmare.
It was enough to make— I never— not that I was doing any interviews, and I don't do interviews, Um, but I feel like reassured in my belief that I will not be giving an interview.
That's a nightmare.
And then like right before I woke up, she started to ask me a question about like what it's like to be plus size.
Oh. Oh. I don't know what to say.
I don't know what to say to that. Like, that's— It's a chat.
It was a trap.
Yeah, it's a trap for you.
Yeah. Um, so we got new chairs, by the way.
Oh yeah, we have new chairs.
Trying to change the subject. We got new chairs after Jackie's pillows. Oh, and we have custom pillows. Yeah.
And like, we just need the pillows to be seen. Like, and maybe it could be like an emotional support pillow after the nightmares that we've had.
We have custom pillows, bouclé chairs, and we're just like genuinely unstoppable.
We're unstoppable. And I also wanted to say about Dancing with the Stars because I had a thought.
Oh yeah, here's your thought.
Because my new favorite like mental game is like thinking about us on Dancing with the Stars. How could we— could we Would we?
No.
Someone commented something that sort of sent me on a, a tailspin into our ideal scenario for Dancing with the Stars. They said that we would have to do it together.
Yeah.
And yes, we would have to be on the same season. Mm-hmm. Like much like Jen and Whitney.
Well, much like Jen and Whitney, but we are bound by blood.
They always hated each other. We love each other. We would support each other that way. We could like all move out to LA. We would do the show. Like it wouldn't be as difficult transatlantic.
Right, right, right, right.
And. As sisters, we would have to compete with brothers.
Max.
Val and Maxim.
Okay, I'm down.
Um, wouldn't that be interesting? Wouldn't you guys wanna watch that?
I just feel like it's hard to get cast on Dancing with the Stars, let alone twice. You know what I mean?
But we're huge stars.
And honestly, I agree with what she said.
And honestly, like there, there's not a lot of huge stars on the show. Like I feel confident that I'm famous enough right now to go on Dancing with the Stars, given the cast of Dancing with the Stars.
Right. I, I might not have said that last year, but this year I'll definitely say it.
And they want more influencers and digital people. Like you can feel it. I feel that, they're casting a wide net. And it's us.
1,000%. I'm not at a place right now where I would be able to.
I'm not at a place either.
And I don't know when that time will be. So until further notice, I'll just happen to be Tyler Cameron's friends and family.
But that's my dream scenario. Like, we do it together.
I don't know if my dream scenario involves being on Dancing with the Stars. I just don't, I don't think I have what it takes, I really don't. Physically, emotionally, it's like a super, it's like a very mentally tough game too.
It is.
And I don't know if you've heard about what's going, I saw Emma made a TikTok talking about like how her and Jackson, I think she was trying to get people to like give them grace 'cause like they're not getting better. And she was like, we're flying back and forth to Savannah multiple times a week. Like why? Why are you going? I guess to practice?
I guess she's going to practice with him. But yeah, the way that I feel just watching social media is like it's a little too much dancing on the field and not enough dancing in the studio.
Yeah, and so I think she wanted people to understand like that that's why. Mm-hmm. 'Cause it just looks like they're making TikToks all week long. It does look like they're making TikToks, but I guess like she has to be there to choreograph him during his games. He can't just take like a couple of weeks off from the bananas.
He's the only one who can't get PTO. Like when everybody is like a working person.
Well, I think a lot of them don't get PTO. Like Harry Shum Jr.'s actively filming Grey's Anatomy, but it's all on the same lot in LA.
Yeah.
He happens to have like sort of an inconveniently located job.
Mm-hmm.
Like Fibula's podcasting. I, I saw his clips talking about Dancing with the Stars. I'm sure his studio's 20 minutes from Dancing with the Stars. I don't think it affects— that could be us. I don't think it affects a lot of people in the way that it's affecting Jackson.
Well, I'm sorry, Jackson, but you should have thought of that. Like, it's not my problem.
He should have taken like a sabbatical. A savannical.
And I think that this— the Bananas corporate, like, would have been happy to accept. I'm sure they're thrilled that he's doing this. This is like a great—
Huge get for the team.
Yeah. So I think they would have been fine if he missed a couple weeks.
There's literally no need for them to be flying back and forth to Georgia. Like, that's insane. That's insane. Yeah, only to be stinking it up every week. Yeah, not necessary.
Agreed.
Tomorrow's Dancing with the Stars, so we will hold off on talking about that.
We will keep it in our pants, but I just needed to just like put— manifest that.
Yeah, manifest that.
And I'm not doing it without you. No pressure.
You might have to.
Like, I'm so— No, I couldn't.
I'll be your dedication night. Of course, we'll do like a sexy samba threesome, me, you, and Maxim. Maxim will come out of retirement just to be your coach. Um, I don't think I honestly— like, I can't. Like, I can't do it. And also, like, the fandom is mean.
Yeah, but oh my God, nobody's like— nobody is like meaner.
It's sort of like a baptism by Facebook group. It's true, it's true. But I think it's like on a huge level, like what we experienced 10x, I guess.
But it's like if you don't open your phone, like, it doesn't—
it doesn't exist.
Yeah, like people— you're walking down the street and they're throwing tomatoes at you.
No, no, but I think that they do.
No, I think it's fine. And I think I think they'll love me.
I think they'll love you too. I will be front row. I'm gonna be like Hannah Brown, you know?
Yeah.
Where I'm sitting behind, uh, Elton John.
No, you're gonna be like Chessy to Mya Lane.
1,000%. Love that.
Yeah.
But you know the hard part that I don't think you're gonna be able to do? You like can't be on Dancing with the Stars if you don't have a TikTok. Honestly, you would be the first contestant in history.
They'd be hiring me like for my digital—
Right, and you don't even have a digital presence. Um, Would you make an account?
For—
yeah, sure. Okay. I would run it. That would be my job.
My social media coordinator.
Love that.
I'm cracking up.
Um, what are the stories like today?
We actually have a lot to talk about.
Oh, do you?
A lot of stuff that like, I'm excited to talk about. I know you'll be excited too when you hear what they are.
Oh, sounds like there's a little surprise in store.
No, not surprise, but just things you don't realize we're gonna be talking about today. Like things that you were jazzed about.
That sounds like an ambush.
Things you—
I was jazzed about? Like I texted you about it?
Yeah, like popping off in our group chat all weekend.
Tiny Zuckerbrock?
Yes.
You guys.
Very exciting.
I wasn't like in— this is a COVID Instagram drama that I never really got into.
This is Olivia Ashray's Roman Empire, thus we are privy to the information because our bestie—
Olivia's always like kept us abreast.
Cares so deeply.
About this drama. And you know what? She's right for caring about it. 'Cause when I saw the video of it, like this is like the final step in this big like COVID stupid scandal that we'll tell you guys about. I was like, oh my God, you know what?
Good for her.
Yeah.
Good for her. So yes, let's dive in. I am excited to talk about that.
Without further ado, it is time for the Fast Five Stories That You Da Do.
And the Fast Five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Quince. You guys know those pieces in your closet that you find yourself reaching for over and over again? A sweater that somehow works with everything, jeans you know will fit just right always, or a bag that you carry everywhere. Well, those are the pieces that earn a permanent place in your wardrobe, and that's exactly what Quince does so well. So Quince is a website. They make elevated everyday essentials using premium materials like Mongolian cashmere, organic cotton, premium stretch denim. They have timeless designs, thoughtfully crafted items that are made to be worn again and again and again. So, um, the thing about Quince is like they're obsessed with quality and materials. And so I feel like when I became a mom, I really started noticing like what the baby's clothes were, were made of. And then obviously like that transferred to myself. So it's important to shop where like, you know, you're getting sweaters that are made of like real materials, not plastic, but that can be really expensive. And Quince really does the balance so well. So everything at Quince is made with like really insane materials.
Like I said, Mongolian cashmere sweaters, um, really soft, really high quality, uh, 100% organic cotton. But everything at Quince is priced about 50 to 80% less than similar brands. So they work directly with ethical factories, they cut out the middleman and then pass the savings onto the customer. So you just end up paying for quality, not like an absurd brand markup. It's not just about apparel either. They bring that same level of quality to everything they make. They make bedding that's like hotel quality. They make kitchen essentials, bath essentials, furniture. They even make well-designed pieces for everyday living. So find the fall pieces that you'll reach for most at Quince. I've got tons of cashmere sweaters, trousers, cardigans, like clothing that I've literally worn. And of course, I got baby clothes too because they have a lot of organic cotton. I have a lot of paper needs.
Stationery. If you're writing thank you cards, you just had a baby, you have to go— And I have a lot of paper wants. And paper, and paper desires.
I have desires for paper.
And Minted is just the go-to for all things paper. I think a lot of swirlies learn about Minted when they're getting married, 'cause when you're getting married, you need programs and menus and, you know, be fancy, gift favors, things like that. And then you end up like, as you grow up, you need like a lot of paper things. So then you're writing handwritten notes for your thank you notes. Then you're having a baby, then you're sending out a baby shower invitation.
Thank you cards for all the baby gifts.
It's really sweet. And then you of course get to the phase where you're doing holiday cards.
And of course you get to the phase where you want custom stationery for yourself so you could be a classy lady.
So if you're thinking about doing a holiday card this year, just so you know, I fully endorse. It's like a very classy, mature thing to do. And the holidays do sneak up. So October's a perfect time to browse their holiday card collection early. You can pick your design and your photo. I just did it. I'm like so proud of myself and skip 8th of November, scramble, and you will thank yourself in December. They have, um, free recipient addressing too. I think a lot of people don't want to do holiday cards because it's like, we're not handwriting everyone's, um, addresses like that. That is insane. Well, they have free recipient addressing, so they will print all your loved ones' addresses on the envelopes for free. You can also upload your address book now, so when your holiday cards arrive, like, you're fully ready to go. Use code TOAST, um, for 20% off your order at Minted. That's code T-O-A-S-T for 20% off holiday cards, weddings, parties, personalized stationery, framed photos, and more. I love sending holiday cards. I also love receiving holiday cards. Mm-hmm. them in my fridge. It's like, yes, I have a full life and people want to impress me with their holiday cards.

Well, turns out he's also a massive history and pop culture nerd. And now he has his own podcast called What the Fact with co-host Carter Roy. So like they do the original Little Red Riding Hood, ends with her getting eaten, printed as a warning to young women about charming men. Or Layla, one of the great love songs in rock history, was it actually written about the singer's best friend's wife? Or even Cleopatra's seductress who took down Rome reputation, fake news invented by her enemy.

You're welcome, What the Jerk. Today's episode is also brought to you by Haya, children's vitamins that are just kind of taking the world by storm. 'Cause you know, back in the day we were popping those like sugary, not good, and they still sell them, which is so crazy. Kids these days with all the processed foods, like we don't even know the long-term effects, but we do know there's a lot of nutritional gaps in the average American child. And so Hiya set out to bridge that gap, and I think that's beautiful. They really will be quickly added into your routine as a parent. It's very easy. It pairs great with breakfast on the car ride to school. They taste really good. Kids love them. The bottles are super fun. The ingredients are, of course, non-GMO, vegan, dairy-free, allergy-free, gelatin-free, nut-free. They've really thought of everything. And what's inside of them is vitamin D, B12, C, zinc, folate, all the foundational nutrients that support immune health and the rapid growth that kids go through.
through.
It's designed for kids 2 and up. You can get Hiya at Target, or you can also have it shipped straight to your door. And when you buy online, you get an awesome reusable bottle with stickers. And it's like, it's so simple, like stickers. Like, the kids love them. Like, really, they do. Um, you get that with your first order, and then they send refills every month, which keeps the parental mental load a lot lighter. Plus, if you've got teens in the house too, Hiya just launched a teen daily multivitamin, and it's honestly overdue in this category. It's not just a bigger dose of the kids formula, it's built specifically for that next chapter, which is ages 13 and up. It packs 15+ vitamins and minerals into a bioavailable methylated form— B12, B6, in the forms that the body doesn't have to work so hard to convert. And we've worked out a special deal with Haya to receive 50% off your first order of their products. To claim this deal, you must go to hayahelp.com/toast. This deal is not available on their regular website, h-i-y-a-health.com/toast, to get your kids the full body nourishment that they need.
Thank you. That they turd.
You're welcome. They definitely turd.
Our first story, Dakota Johnson hosted SNL this weekend and Taylor Swift made an appearance.
Yes, so of course I only saw the monologue because that's the only part Taylor was in. Oh, and I also saw the end credits because that's also the part that Taylor was in.
And I saw the sketch with the Sketch Bros.
What?
The Sketch Bros.
Who's that? Oh, you know, one of the guys is leaving. I saw today, you know, the 3—
Sketch Bros.
Oh, oh, he's leaving. Martin.
Which one is that?
Curly brown hair.
Hmm, Martin. What's the name of their sketch, bro?
Give me a second. I wanna remember.
Not the Try Guys.
Don't try this at home.
Yeah, literally.
Wait, burn this.
Burn after reading.
Something like that. Wait, hold on. I really wanna get it on my own before we look it up. It's like important to me.
'Cause you love them.
You're in love with them. Check Yes Juliet, like something like, what is it? Please don't just— that's literally what I said. Please don't just try this.
That is not a name of a band.
Of a band, yeah. The Toast is the name of a comedy troupe.
It is, so I saw her sketch with Please Don't Destroy This.
Got it, okay. So I watched her monologue, and it's funny because I saw then people comparing it to hers. This is her second time, and the first time she did it was right when she's this new girl in town, she's releasing Fifty Shades, and it's actually, I know I say it all the time, it's insane that she got that role. When I'm watching her on SNL, I'm like, why would anyone give this to her? She was so just like a, and I love her, but she was so just like a regular girl who had never acted before, I was like, I couldn't believe it. Now, she looked amazing, and her whole monologue was about how she's just known for dating musicians, and I'm like, oh, I guess this is the first time I put together the last couple of guys you've been seen with are musicians.
The last 2.
3.
Who?
Role Model, your boyfriend, Chris Martin, and Machine Gun Kelly.
Machine Gun Kelly, that was one time.
I just felt like she was really trying hard to make that trope a thing.
Right.
But it's like, I actually don't see her as a bed-hopping, musician hopper.
Not at all, she was in a long-term relationship with Chris Martin, then she like had a fling.
She sort of minimized it too. Like, you go to a concert and leave with a 2 and a half year relationship. Like, okay, that was like your boyfriend.
It felt like 10 years, first of all.
I don't know why, I just like, I kind of felt like the monologue in its entirety like just really belittled her.
No, the monologue was very bad.
Yeah.
I don't know why she wants like that to be the association considering none of us think that of her.
I have never thought that A, the amount of boyfriends she's had has been weird or too much, or that she has like a certain type that she only— I guess I was like, oh, she was acting. Oh yeah, they are all.
She was acting like she had to address the elephant in the room.
It's kind of like when Taylor did SNL when she was like 22 and like she was having a million boyfriends and that's like the thing everyone was always saying about her. And she did like address it in her monologue when she made that like cute little song. But like no one was waiting for Dakota.
Not at all.
I thought it was a weird monologue. But then they brought out Taylor and I was fine.
I thought it was weird and unfunny as well. And I just, the bar is so high for her because like she is like so stellar.
She's that girl. She is, she's just like firing on all cylinders at all times.
That's what I'm just gonna blame the writers. However, like I do feel like like Dakota, one, has a sense of humor, so like has impact.
And she has a lot of lore too. She's like a nepo baby. Like, I feel like there's— they're there. She was just in Taylor's— no, she was in Taylor's music video. She's friends with like so many celebrities. She canceled Ellen. Like, she started the Ellen cancellation. Well, that's not true, Ellen. And so like, we could have talked about literally anything, and I just feel like what she talked about was kind of reductive to women. Yeah, I said it.
Yeah. And I'm just surprised that she like enthusiastically participated in that when she doesn't have to. Like, maybe the first time she did SNL, like, you're going to stay. Of course, you just do what you're told. But now, yeah, she's like so famous.
And even the bit about Taylor, like, not to be like, they did not pass the Bechdel test. Like, it was so like, this is my therapist, I cry about all the boys to Taylor. And it's like, we're bringing out the biggest movie star, sorry, singer, pop star in the world. Like, we're talking about your ex-boyfriends. Like, I don't know, I just thought it was like reductive. Yeah, I'm gonna say reductive again.
And it's not like it's, she's PETA.
It's a stretch.
It's all—
is he Pete Davidson?
What about him?
He was spotted out with an influencer, Judas Batchelder. He was out—
Dispatch Elder?
Well, her name is, I think, Haley.
He was with Haley?
Yeah, but Judas.
Oh, he was with Haley and Zara. Okay, I know what I think I saw.
He was like out with an influencer, which is funny because he's like—
He's out with 2.
No, and it's like, not cool, girls. Like, honestly, not cool. You're supposed to have the back of your family.
I think Haley's friends with Paige. Maybe Paige was there. give her a talking to.
Paige would not allow this.
Um, so yeah, Dakota on SNL, like, huge fan. And Taylor, by the way, don't you feel like her outfit—
not to like look too much into it— like, her whole look is giving like Machine Gun Kelly's girlfriend, like wanting to like be a little bit Megan Foxy?
I really hope that's not true. And, and I'm not going to lie, I don't like the outfit.
Oh well, when you're so skinny and pretty, like, you can actually wear anything.
Yeah, for sure, you can wear— you always look good. I didn't say she looks bad, I said I don't like the outfit.
Yeah.
I wouldn't like— I didn't see this and was like, slay.
No, no, I didn't have a problem with it, but I did immediately think like, oh, she's giving Megan Fox, like dressing for the job you want.
And just all of that is just incongruous with who I thought she was, which is her own woman.
Yeah, and like a very cool, one-of-a-kind kind of gal.
Yeah.
Yeah, I agree. She did say— oh, and she knows she has a lot of lore about Madame Web, you know.
Love that.
And she made a hilarious joke in the monologue about it. I'm glad— this is not the first time she's spoken about it. I do love that she pokes fun at the fact that like literally She was in this huge studio production for a movie that actually, like, I don't know if a worse movie has ever been made in our lifetime.
Yeah. And also the Try Guys poked fun at her about that in their sketch with her.
I love that. I love that she pokes fun at that.
I really do.
Like, that's the Dakota I know.
They were like roasting each other. That was like the, the sketch.
Like, how scary.
Just like saying mean things about each other. And they were like, oh my gosh, we've always wanted to meet the star of Madame Web. Can you introduce us to Sydney Sweeney?
Oh, that is really funny. Really funny. Like the Madame Web jokes for me never get old. They never get old because the thing is like, we have to, we have to talk about our flops. Like that's really hilarious.
Yeah.
So, but I love to see, and Taylor brought her out, uh, a cake at the end.
Yeah.
You know, she made that shit from home.
No, the baker is flipping.
Oh, is the baker flipping that everybody thinks Taylor made it?
People magazine had reached, has reached the baker.
Okay, good, good, good. Well, that is exciting if you're a small little bakery.
She just can't believe her cake.
Her luck. She can't believe her fortune. You know, they probably just like ordered it on Uber Eats.
It's funny that you mention it because she was heard from.
That is hilarious. You don't need to pull it up. I believe you. Um, that is funny. Okay, she didn't bake it. My bad.
Yeah, she was getting ready for the big night.
I can't wait for Dakota and Taylor to, uh, like never see or speak to each other ever again. Like, this is just sort of like the friend of the moment.
Of course.
Like, rest in peace Maren Morris, rest in peace Halsey, rest in peace Camila Cabello. Like, there's a lot of girls of the moment. Even though they were all at the wedding, so I think they're all like—
Sabrina.
Sabrina.
Carly.
Of course, but that's girlfriend.
Um, the baker who created the cake Taylor Swift gave to Dakota Johnson on SNL reveals her reaction to the, quote, wild surprise.
Go queen! Like, yes, we love to see a small woman-owned business getting its flowers.
Yeah, very cute.
She looked great.
Uh, yeah, she did.
We're now at 2 in a row. I don't want to jinx it. 2 in a row of like looks that are good. They're not like insane, But they're very good. VMAs was very good, and now this.
Beautiful.
Do you think she has a new stylist? I feel like that would be a really big deal because her stylist has been with her for like 60 years.
You know, it's also like the confidence and the haircut. And the hair—
the haircut. Also like having a—
like, she was wearing like a lot of tartan like this last year too. Everyone thought it was like album, right?
Folklore energy. Yeah, yeah. Having like a boyfriend or a husband who like really loves you, not to like of course bring your confidence to a man, it's very empowering. You just carry yourself differently.
Speaking of tartan, I started a new—
What's tartan?
This, like, plaid. Plaid, got it. Tartan. I started a new show this weekend.
Called?
A Woman of Substance.
Have you heard of it? No, but what does that have to do with tartan?
Because she lives in—
Scotland?
UK, yeah. And, um, in the last episode, it was the Christmas episode, she was wearing tartan.
Oh, okay.
I saw—
I've been watching 2 episodes a night.
That's a little familiar.
It does.
So like—
What program?
Like what?
It's on BritBox.
Oh girl, we haven't heard of it.
But like someone commented—
We have not heard of it.
Prior to this episode, someone commented, Jackie, you should watch Woman of Substance. And people tell me to watch stuff all the time, and I don't know why, for some reason I was like, that sounds good. So, and I don't know why I felt like I had been like mentioning it in Emmy nominations and stuff.
Oh, maybe, maybe that's why I feel like I've heard of it.
But so I just put it on blind 'cause it's a period piece, and I was like, great.
It's giving A Place to Call Home. Who remembers Jackie's A Place to Call Home era? Acorn TV, this special app you had to download that I believe is like out of business now, or like it merged into BritBox. And it was a period piece, right?
It was amazing.
Fictional?
Mm-hmm.
It was like a very, very low-budget Downton Abbey.
Yes.
Hallmark, if Hallmark did Downton Abbey.
So much heart. You guys have to watch it.
You know what you should watch that you would love? The Hallmark original series. It's a very long-running series starring Lori Loughlin. When Calls the Heart.
Basically.
You know what I'm talking about.
When Calls the Heart. Yeah, When Calls the Heart. Yeah, maybe. But even this, like, so this series is 8 episodes. I'm really enjoying it, but it's really like, I don't love getting into a show because then I'm just always thinking about it. I stay up late watching it. It's hard. It's not—
Then it's also bad when you don't have anything to watch.
I know, I know.
You're just like watching 30 Rock again, which is what I'm doing.
Well, so I'm really enjoying the show. Thank you to whoever recommended it. I don't think it's nominated for anything. I don't know why.
Like, I just— You're just like wasting your time.
No, and it's a remake of an old show. And I will say, like, it takes place in like 2, um, different time periods. Like, we get flashbacks to the future, which is the '70s, and then the past is like the 1920s. And like, the future scenes are community theater. It's so strange. But then when we go back in the past, it's like I'm transported.
It's like when you read a book and there's like 2 different—
It felt like— it literally feels like when you read a book and it's like—
And there's 2 time periods, you're like, take me back or take me forward. Like, I hate these people.
And the one that we're in that's bad is so unbelievable. It's like— it's so believable.
Yeah.
Um, anyways, I would recommend it though. I have 2 more episodes and it's really great so far.
Okay.
Uh, Woman of Substance.
I'm watching Dancing with the Stars. It's like a full-time job. I can't take anything else on right now.
Yeah, I understand. Kim Kardashian was profiled for the Sunday Times.
Oh, I saw. She looked really pretty.
Yeah.
She's always doing like weird avant-garde photoshoots, so when she's actually just like glam, it's nice.
Yeah, she was glam. I, I don't subscribe to the Sunday Times, so I'm at the mercy of like the publications that wrote up the headlines.
And the clips, like.
And so the 2 major headlines are that she has 5 nannies for her 4 kids.
You're kidding.
But they're on rotation, so it's not like 5 at once.
Oh, okay, not at once.
And she said—
What do you think the rotation is? is like 2-2?
Oh, I guess it depends on the day.
Okay.
And the night, and if she's traveling. 'Cause also, like, I feel like she talks a little bit about her routine and how, like, yeah, though she has 5 nannies who are on rotation, she makes it a point to always drive her kids to school and pick them up from school and have dinner with them every night. But like, what about when she's traveling all the time?
Well, I assume she has a travel nanny. That's what, like, one of the 5 are.
So the kids always go with her?
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Um, I don't know.
So I feel like even though she's like being transparent and sharing this, like, I feel—
We need more.
It just— no, it leaves more actual questions than answers.
Yeah.
And I think she like figures that, you know, giving that number is going to be like enough for people. No, clickbait.
Well, of course. But the thing is, you're a billionaire, you have 4 kids, like, you're also having 5 nannies. Like, I can't even— can't get upset, can't hate the playa, you know?
She said she always has one of her nannies on rotation when her kids are with her, because also I guess there's some sometimes with Kanye, right?
Did she talk about that? Like, that I'm a little bit more interested in.
Um, not— she talked a little bit about, um, like her parenting and—
sorry, I just— yeah, sorry.
And how like when it comes to Kanye, like with North, how her and Kanye are like very aligned on—
They are. Uh, yeah, that's good.
Um, communicating over what's going to be like the right things for her to do, making sure they're aligned and that she's in projects that they both approve of.
It was my understanding that like Kanye wasn't down for her to be in any projects, just like due to her age.
But it also seems like he—
Now is like the kind of the driving force.
Yeah. And, and I guess it's also like if he knows that she wants to pursue this, like he's going to like—
She's gonna do it no matter what.
Have his thumb on it and like—
Be in control.
As he should, because he's— this is his world. Yeah.
Yeah. And what was the other big headline besides the 5 nannies?
Oh, that she was single for 5 years, like before dating now. She said aside from being with Pete Davidson.
So aside from her one long-term relationship thing.
Aside from her year She was single for 5 years since she split from Kanye.
I'd like to shout out Miss Kenzie Elizabeth, who sent me a couple of interesting pieces of information this weekend. She said, I thought you'd be interested to know, and she sent me 2 different graphics about Pete Davidson, overwhelmingly negative, that were liked by Stephanie Shepherd, Kim's best friend slash ex—
Assistant?
Chief of staff or whatever. So the first one was real. Can we talk about the film Cazzie David wrote about her ex Pete Davidson exposing him exposing him as a narcissistic nice guy abuser, stuff like that. And then this one, Pete Davidson is like a graphic, slept his way to the top, how dating famous women made a man a star and how wanting an audience makes women a joke. She liked both of those. A couple of think pieces if you ask me.
That's like— my brain's not computing.
Especially because Kim like always reflects back on that relationship like extremely positively, even though, you know, I'm always down to like come up with— yeah, Pete Davidson slander. She actually— a lot of the women who spend time with him publicly. Ariana always says nice things about him. Now others, I believe Carly Aquilino—
But not every relationship is the same, you know?
No, and also when you're dating like a woman— a woman, excuse me— who's more powerful, more famous, wealthy, like you behave. It's when you're the one who's in like the power dynamic.
But I also think it's like, say Kim broke up with Pete, then yeah, you're always going to talk nicely about that like guy that you like broke up with who was sad. But if he broke up with them, they might feel a little different.
Scorned. Yeah, and I do think that's probably how Kim Carly Aquilino feels. She started this whole Pete Davidson thing. She doesn't get enough credit.
Yeah, so I think every relationship is different, and he's had so many that they're all gonna have a different story but similar threads. Yes. Um, so yeah, she talked about how she was single and focused on her family and her businesses, and now she's ready to open up, but she didn't want to talk about Louis, so she didn't talk.
Like, all she does is post carousels of her and Louis.
Yeah, she said respectfully, like, no, I don't want to talk Okay.
Well, she's also, I, I just recently in Paris with Louis. I think, um, I saw this reel and I'm, I wasn't sure if it was like AI generated or like fake or not, but I think it's like the 10-year anniversary of her robbery and he took her on a trip to Paris to like make new memories of the date and the city. And it was very sweet.
That's really sweet.
But again, it might've just been like AI slop. I'm not sure.
Yeah, I'm sure it wasn't.
Yeah, no, it sounds really legit.
That would be a weird thing for someone to spend their time doing on AI.
It would.
Um, are you ready for our next story? You know what, I'm gonna move this up. Speaking of Paris Fashion Week, let me think, let me think. I don't know if you're— if you even saw this, but there's a random feud brewing between Rihanna and EJ Johnson. Have you seen this?
Things that mean a lot to me? This. Tell me everything.
Okay, so earlier this week, EJ, I guess, has been in Paris Fashion Week.
I did see EJ at Paris Fashion Week.
Fans behind the scenes at them getting ready to go to designer shows. He talked about Rihanna's lateness. Did you see that she was late from that show?
To the Fecal Matter show?
Yeah.
They waited, they held the show for her because she couldn't get there for 45 minutes and everybody was so upset 'cause everybody had to sit around waiting, but the brand didn't seem to mind and they held it.
So about that, he said, it did start an hour late because Rihanna was late and you know, we didn't care to wait for her, but the show was beautiful nonetheless. Then, There were also a couple other comments that he had made in the last like year or so following the Met Gala. EJ said big names such as like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Kim fell short with their looks. And so—
So—
That's the only other like piece of like Rihanna. Anyways, some Instagram posted a video of like EJ getting blocked by paparazzi from going into their hotel. It says EJ Johnson gets blocked from entering his hotel after posing for paparazzi at Fashion Week in Paris, France. And there's a video of it.
Mm-hmm.
And Rihanna commented.
You're kidding me. She commented, That's so funny. I have to tell you something.
What?
Okay, because I'm like almost 100% sure— oh, they/them or she/her? I was— I saw you fighting for your life.
No, no, I was saying them, but then the HollywoodFix— get 'em— .org wrote his in the caption because I was saying them.
You did?
I said them.
You did?
The whole time.
And I'm gonna do my best.
HollywoodFix.
But I actually saw a TikTok this morning. You know, people really have a problem with EJ Johnson because like a couple of years ago Um, they said something like, you know, I wear a dress better than any woman could. Like really just like speaking so derogatory to women. Um, and then of course everybody just sort of like pulled out receipts of that not being the truth. And it's, he's kind of been trolled ever since then.
They?
Oh, fuck, sorry. Um, they've kind of been trolled ever since then. And, um, it always makes me laugh. So I guess like Rihanna knows about the lore.
Oh, I wonder if she knows about that.
It was such like a random, literally nobody, nobody's—
I actually, So the only pieces of information from like Rihanna v. EJ is like what he said about— they said about the Fecal Matter show. And then also like someone unearthed what he had— they had said about Met Gala 2026. He— they said, it's a very hard day, especially for me to say that about Rihanna because she's been going through a lot. But like, let's go back to Guo Pei and the yellow cape that was cascading down the stairs all those years ago. I mean, it was bomb. So like pretty much saying like she's done better since then, but there's no way Rihanna has seen that comment. So where is this coming from?
Rihanna hates EJ Johnson, like, for her own reasons. She doesn't need her own reasons.
This is seriously— Could have been something that happened privately.
Of course, they probably frequent the same— I do want to talk about the fecal matter thing because people were like really up in arms about it when like, seriously, who cares? I'm sure for a brand— I heard about this brand for the first time less than a year ago, so like the fact that Rihanna's going to their show is such a big deal. Bitch, you would wait 5 hours, like, and everyone else there, you're not important. Like, seriously, this is not about you. You're lucky to be there. Rihanna's gonna be there. So everyone complained I'm like, seriously, you guys need to touch grass.
No, I think that's insane. Of course they're gonna wait for her. I think there are a couple like fashion people that any show would wait for.
Rihanna is one of them.
Anna Wintour.
Zendaya.
Kim. Kim.
Wasn't that, um, Kim was like 5 minutes late to the Victoria Beckham show?
No, she was like pretty late.
And Anna Wintour was like sitting there waiting.
Yeah, yeah, that was really painful.
Yeah, that was. She should have just—
Kim's not a late person. Did you see Morgan Stewart at Missy Armaé's show?
I did. I'm so glad you brought up Morgan Stewart now that we're talking about the rich kids of Beverly Hills, because I want to talk about Dorothy Wang's new YouTube show.
Have you seen it?
Yes, I want to talk about also Also, Rich Kids is just bubbling up. It is. It's time for a revival.
No, but also like some clip generator out there has started clipping Rich Kids. So I'm getting like bits and bobs of Rich Kids of like Dorothy and Roxy fighting in China. And I'm living for it. I can't believe these things happened.
I'm watching The Girl in the Basement: The Lifetime of a True Living.
Yeah, Dorothy called Roxy not well traveled because she's suffering from jet lag.
Yeah, apparently like back in the day, if you had jet lag, like you were poor. So Rich Kids, best show ever.
Dorothy Wade.
who had like this most insane wedding last year. She, I guess, was documenting the whole thing with like a film crew and she released this like reality show on YouTube. It's called like Dorothy Says I Do or something. And it's chronicling, you know, the planning of the wedding and, you know, and this last episode she released, she's talking about who people think is Morgan.
Mm-hmm.
Because Morgan was not at the wedding. Now, if you know the rich kids lore, they were an iconic duo, but it wasn't a perfect friendship. And they kind of like never were spotted together ever again, but always a complimentary, liking each other's things, congratulating one another. Another until recently. And then she wasn't at the wedding and it felt kind of final. Morgan got married during COVID so no one was at the wedding. And so Dorothy on this episode is talking about how she's rescinding an invite because this is a person who she wasn't like particularly close with, but like good terms. Like the way she's just describing it sounds so much like Morgan. But like she went to an event for this person and people were able to stitch together. She's talking about a Fashion Week event for Renly, um, that was in New York. And I guess like according to alleged Dorothea went. She was like kind of last minute invited and like thrown at a bad seat at the end of the table. And Dorothea was like so offended. It was just sort of like, you know what, like this is not my friend and like I'm not gonna invite her to my wedding.
Now it really could be anyone. She doesn't say who it is.
Not inviting to the wedding and rescinding.
Yeah, rescinding is a bold statement.
It's a huge move and a friendship-ending one.
And I do believe the friendship has ended. Yeah. Now I cannot confirm 100% that the story she's telling is about Morgan based on a couple of context clues given like dates, cities, things of that nature. Uh, people do generally believe that it is Morgan, but there's no proof of that.
That this is hard, you know?
It's terrible.
It's hard for the fans of Rich Kids. I think we've all always known that like they're, they're, they weren't as close in real life as they were on the show. They did their confessionals together. They were such like a great TV duo. And I can yin and yang. I can make peace with the fact that that's not how they were offline. They were almost like coworkers, like bestie coworkers, but we go home at 5 o'clock and we have our own friends.
And I do believe they were very competitive with one another, especially when the show started to blow up. Like, it was kind of a recipe for disaster.
So I've made peace with the fact that they, that they weren't as close as it always appeared to be, and that, you know, that a lot of it was for show. It didn't exist in real life. But I can appreciate the art, which—
And it was performance art.
And in the 10 years since, I've gone on to stan both of them individually.
Agreed.
I don't even ask for anything.
No. And they do such amazing work on their own as women, as creators, as fashionistas.
Like, I, I want nothing more for So for there to be conflict between the two of them—
It's really inconvenient.
It's really hard, and I just, it just begs the question, like, why can't they just be friends? Like, why don't they like each other?
I think that it really rooted in like this, first of all, they had like a couple of fights on the show, but they always worked it out. And I think that like when the show ended and they both like went their separate ways, there was just like, I think like a lot of competition. I do. And I know it's like, you know, kind of reductive of me to boil it down to that, but I do feel like when you're in the same space and you're like fighting for Instagram followers and attention, and then the show gets canceled. I feel like it's just a tough environment to be like a woman who supports other women.
I don't know. I don't think it's that because they're both— they both come from abundance.
Mm-hmm.
And it's not like— I just think they're— it's not like that where they have to like, it's you or me.
Dorothy's also pregnant. She announced a couple of days ago.
I'm so excited for her.
And you know what's oozing out of me to tell you guys that I knew that?
Yeah.
'Cause I ran into her on the street and I was like, what are you doing? And she was like, had this like band on her arm. She's always going to like wellness doctors. I'm like, oh, what are you going to, like, some, like, special doctor? She was like, I'm pregnant. I was like, oh my God, me too.
No, it's so exciting.
It is so exciting. A Yankovic baby.
I've seen clips from her new show. I'm seeing old clips from Rich Kids, and it just—
it's sort of begging for some sort of reunion.
It's so good.
It's so good.
But I really— it was a moment in time. Those people would never get back together.
No. Although, like, now with the EJ Johnson drama, like, I am sad.
Like the Brendan drama.
And to be honest, like, at the time, they really just weren't were like rich kids. That was like kind of the most interesting thing about them. Um, they all had great personalities, but they weren't doing anything particularly interesting with their lives. Now they all really are, between Morgan's like success as a fashion swirly and Dorothy just like being a world-traveling cosmopolitan woman.
I—
EJ, of course, beefing with Rihanna.
You see, actually Dorothy is selling her home, and it's the home that Taylor Swift used to live in in LA where she wrote 1989.
Wait, I saw that the Taylor Swift house in 1989 is being sold, but I thought Taylor was selling it.
By the Pahlavians.
Oh, you said Roxy. Wait, who?
Roxy, sorry. Oh, Roxy.
Oh yeah, Roxy also married very well. Big family, big Persian family. Roxy on Shahs of Sunset, when, you know?
Um, they have a 1989 home and they're selling it.
I know, it was a very charming $8 million house.
It's very beautiful. If you're looking for an $8 million house in the LA area, I would, I would take a look.
I definitely recommend.
Yeah, yeah, the pictures were party. Oh, and I showed you, speaking of homes, Robert Herjavec and Kim Herjavec Gave a—
couldn't get an, uh, Architectural Digest interview, so they went to Homeworthy. House Beautiful.
No, no, House Beautiful is Barbie. Yeah, I don't know, Homeworthy looked nice too.
It's not Architectural Digest.
It was a very beautiful house in Muskoka.
So of the moment.
And I know you want to like shade them for not being in AD, but like AD does a lot of ugly stuff too. You know who doesn't? House Beautiful.
Town and Country. Like they only do beautiful things.
Yeah. Um, like, I wouldn't—
I am not shading Robert Herjavec. I would never do that. Um, and I resent the accusation.
It was a beautiful home in Muskoka.
A lot of the Sharks like Muskoka. Mr. Wonderful also lives there.
And that's where the next summer house is, right?
Oh, they are doing a summer house in Muskoka. Muskoka's like having a moment. That's the setting of that, um, Sterling Point show. Yeah.
It's like the Hamptons of Canada.
But it's so much cooler.
It's—
there are no streets. It's like, it's islands. Everybody, if you want to go somewhere, you take a boat.
Oh, that's— that wouldn't work for me, but that would explain why they had like a boat garage.
So yes, every—
all the big houses. And the boats are under the house?
Yes, and the house is up there.
Yeah, and they had 3 boats under their house.
Yep.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Really gorgeous speedboats.
But you know, Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna frequent there as well.
Well, I get seasick, so don't invite me to Muskoka. I can't come.
And I'm a water sign, so I'm available to come too. your home as long as it's like nice and has a 3-car boat garage.

Our next story, the new name of Paramount Warner Brothers has been unveiled.
We live for a rebrand.
Soon to merge Paramount Warner Brothers Discovery officially has a name. So—
So this is sort of like the second half of that story we were talking about almost a year ago.
Yeah. I, and I didn't like, I felt like it was always like, they're almost there, almost. And I didn't know that it's done.
So Warner Brothers beat Netflix in buying Paramount Warner Brothers. Paramount beat Netflix in buying Warner Brothers.
And like, when this started, Netflix sent out an email to subscribers.
You guys, I got an email from Netflix when they were meant to look at buying Warner Brothers.
They're like, we own Warner Brothers now, like, look forward to all Warner Brothers content. Like, it was a done deal.
And Paramount was like, yeah, look, December 6th, 2025, an email from Netflix, cuz I subscribe. Welcoming Warner Brothers to Netflix, that was the subject line. Hi, we recently announced that Netflix will acquire Warner Brothers. Talk about getting ahead of yourself because there ended up being a hostile takeover. They were like suing each other, and you know what? Paramount won. And it's really kind of a big deal for the streaming wars because Netflix is currently winning the streaming wars in terms of like subscriber amounts, like by the hundreds of millions. And acquiring Warner Brothers, which has HBO Max, like so many— it was just sort of like making them even bigger. Paramount is like this sort of like small but mighty engine. Now they're acquiring— they're entering the streaming wars in a major way. Um, so I guess it took a whole year for them to work out that whole Netflix thing.
Yeah, but like Paramount was always willing to pay more, even though Warner Brothers like wanted to go to Netflix. I guess that was what made it hostile, but they had to take the deal from Paramount because it was more money to the shareholders. Right, right. So now it will be Paramount Warner Brothers, and they have a new name.
And you know what? I'm very change-averse. Anytime someone's like, our new name, I'm like, it sucks. I kind of like it.
The new name is Skydance.
Now does that mean like when I want to watch Yellowstone, I have to go to skydance.org?
Like, I hope so. If, if Skydance will be Paramount HBO, HBO Max, HBO Max Go, Max, and Max and Eastbound. It's also Discovery. Plus Discovery, TLC, Lifetime, et cetera.
HGTV, Magnolia.
Magnolia. Where does Magnolia go? If all of that is now gonna fall under Skydance, that works for me.
Me too.
If you guys have any plan other than that, that doesn't work for me.
Oh, agreed. There's one path forward here and it's one app.
One app. So you, so it will be Skydance, Netflix, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock.
Even though I think losing the HBO name is a huge loss.
The HBO name is so watered down.
It's not. It's so— when we were talking about the greatest shows of all time, remember that list? Or the last century or whatever, they were all HBO.
But also like within Skydance, then you can choose. Do you wanna watch HBO?
Of course.
Do you wanna watch Paramount?
But HBO just has like a lot of recognition.
But just like Hulu has ABC. Like, I think that it's fine, but I do think if they wanna be in the streaming wars, like they need one hub.
Right.
And I like Skydance. It's a lovely name.
And Paramount+ just like wasn't enough, you know? I would always, of course, typical cardboard fashion, renew it when there was like a new season of Yellowstone. But it's not something you need to have.
It's not a need to have.
Even though I do believe like all the old episodes of Jersey Shore are on there because Viacom is Paramount. That's MTV, VH1. There's a lot there.
And you said Yellowstone?
Paramount.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You said Yellowstone already.
I did.
Okay. Yellowstone.
Yellowstone, yeah. That's the only thing I'm— oh, RuPaul's Drag Race is also on Paramount Plus, but like besides that, it's kind of, it's kind of sad out there.
Yeah, so HBO Max, Paramount Plus will combine with CBS, CNN, MTV, TBS, Comedy Central.
Oh right, CNN Plus. Who remembers CNN Plus? Maybe they'll bring that back.
Food Network and more. That's pretty big. And of course Harry Potter is huge.
And is that the prequel show that's coming out now?
That's just the, the franchise. The franchise.
But there's that TV show Ben's talking about.
That was gonna be on HBO.
I'm like, Ben, how do you even know about that?
Yeah. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Sex and the City.
Yeah, that's awesome.
Possible Top Gun and Nickelodeon.
Friends, I believe, is on Max.
Is it?
Yeah.
Maxwell.
Well, Skydance, I wonder how much it's gonna be.
Per month?
Well, you know, the streaming wars benefit the consumer, so everybody's got to bring it down.
Yeah, that's true.
We're— we entered double digits and we never turned back. It's gonna be $100 soon. $20 for Netflix is insane a month.
Yeah.
When we have like a family account where you don't want commercials. Like, I know I could get it for less, but like, I have to live.
Yeah.
And like, I need to share.
Yeah, understood. So that's—
And it's literally turning into cable.
Like, of course these are different channels.
Yeah, right.
That's the Skydance. Are you ready for our 5th and final story, which is a meaty one?
Oh, I'm so fucking ready for this one.
Yeah, but I just like needed to clear the decks so that we—
Yeah, we're ready.
There's no rush. How Tonya Zuckerbrot lost her $40 million diet empire to one troll and the 6-year fight for justice.
So this is an old story.
This story began in 2020. Tonya Zuckerbrot is—
Peak COVID craziness.
Tomi Zuckerberg is the founder of the F-Factor diet, which, if you know what it was, or you don't know, at the time it was the flavor of the moment.
Oh my God, everyone was eating those fucking Gigi crackers.
The Gigi crackers, but also she had powder, and it was like fiber powder that like you put in everything.
She had a huge collab at Bloomingdale's.
Her whole thing was the F-Factor was the fiber factor.
She was like, you can eat whatever you want as long as you're eating fiber. Fiber was like the whole thing.
Yeah, celebrities were doing it. Uh, I knew people who were doing it.
Everyone was eating those fucking crackers with tuna.
F-Factor, losing weight.
Yeah.
And she, her business was doing like a million dollars a month. It was valued at $40 million. Mm-hmm. Then in 2020, an influencer named Emily Gellis started posting about F-Factor and all of these testimonials of people saying that they had a bad experience with it. She began publicizing anonymous testimonials from followers claiming they had suffered serious physical and mental health problems while following the F-Factor diet. She had never met Tonya before, but in just 75 days, Emily posted more than 4,500 Instagram stories and posts about Zuckerbrot and F-Factor. In total, she posted more than 50,000.
And those videos have now come back to the surface, like just Instagram stories she made over the last 6 years accusing Tonya at the time of the diet things, and then later on because they got into a lawsuit, accusing her of like having people follow her. And they are actually the diary entries of a crazy person. They're actually spooky to watch.
So Emily linked the products to everything from gastric diseases and hair loss to panic attacks, UTIs, miscarriages, and even I remember the miscarriage thing because I couldn't believe it.
Like, they were making so many claims about this diet, and one woman came forward anonymously and said that the diet caused her to have a miscarriage. And I was like, holy shit. And Emily obviously saw that, and that was huge for her cause.
She does no verification. She said it's an anonymous thing and she posts it.
And it went— that was really one of the things that, like, a catalyst of the whole scandal, because that's a crazy accusation to make. And then it turns out that the person— I remember the whole thing was the person who made that accusation like did it anonymously, like to support Tanya, to show that this girl will post anything, and that's not true. Crazy. Which is, by the way, not really helping Tanya because that was such a heinous allegation. Like, it was— everything was like, I had my belly hurt or whatever.
Yeah, but it did help just to show that Emily Gells will post anything. It didn't matter how dramatic, no matter how, um, defamatory, as long as someone sends it in her DMs.
Her business over overnight. I never saw a Gigi Cracker ever again.
So she alleged that— in fact, not even— she didn't own Gigi Crackers.
I know, I know.
She had the fiber powders. So she alleged that those powders— it was all about these powders— contained dangerous levels of arsenic and contacted the company's retail partner Bloomingdale's to warn that it was selling poison. So Zuckerbot has a master's degree in nutrition and food studies from NYU. Um, Emily Gellis has no nutrition degree. According to court papers seen by The Post, the products were manufactured in pharmaceutical grade facility, tested for microbiological safety, heavy metals, and accuracy of their label claims. At the time Emily started posting all this, Tonya ignores her for a while. The allegations— I mean, nobody had anything to do in 2020 except live for internet drama.
Oh, people on the internet, you guys, this was peak crazy girl behavior. Like, all the crazy girls, like, people were living for this.
Yeah, so eventually, um, Tonya went on the Today Show to fight back against the allegations.
Um, but at that point it was too late. Like, her, her business was never effective.
She said that she regrets that she hadn't done it sooner. She went on NBC News and they showed them the independent, like, nutrition reports. They verified it, but it was sort of too late. And Tonya explains, like, how this ruined her life, not even just her business, but her life.
Because Tonya is independently wealthy. I believe she has a very wealthy husband as well. So, like, it was never about her being on the balls of her ass. Um, but the business that this woman built by herself, regardless of her financial background, was just literally never to be seen again.
Yeah. So Tanya spent the last few years fighting her in court. Yes.
I knew—
Suing the shit out of her.
Suing the shit out of her. Like, I didn't know if I knew that this was still going on. And then cut to over the weekend, I'm scrolling my Instagram and I see this video.
Tanya Zuckerbrot posted—
And by the way, the girl posted it too.
So like, we knew that this had gone to court. Tanya was like taking her to court.
She— Tanya was going to spend her, her and her husband's last dollar, up to a million dollars suing this girl. And the girl is not herself wealthy, so like it was already, you know, she was in a bad spot. And she, even though when she knew she was being sued, she did not stop posting about Tanya.
So, and I think like we had heard like Tanya's doing well in the courts, and we're like, good for her, good for her. And then Tanya Zuckerbrot posts this video.
You guys, it's 10 minutes long. I watched Watch the whole thing.
She posts this video on Tanya's page, and I'll just show you to show— this is—
It is a hostage video.
This is Emily Gellis, the girl she is suing. This is obviously like a part of the settlement that she had to make this video, and it's so fucking gorgeous.
It is.
Like, my name is Emily Gellis, and I'm here today to take full responsibility for the harm I caused to Tanya Zuckerbrot, her company F Factor, and her family.
I know that this is not the point of the video, video, but I watched the whole thing and like, it's very hard to watch because she does crispy Rs, you know? She's like, Tanya Zuckerbrot. Like, I cannot. Sorry.
Okay.
By my actions, this is my public apology. In 2020, I came across information online about the F-Factor diet. Instead of verifying that information or seeking out credible sources, I used my platform to amplify and escalate those claims. What began as an inquiry evolved into a sustained and harmful campaign that was not grounded in verified facts. Which is when your registered—
So then they spliced together this hostage video with some of her craziest videos on Instagram stories talking about Tanya, talking about the testimonials from people. She's wearing like a filter on her head the whole time.
Just in case you were starting to feel bad for this girl, now you need to see what she said.
The videos are insane, like the flashbacks.
I myself told people to eat shit that made them sick, and then they came and told me, and then I came and told the internet. And if you don't like it, I don't care anymore, but I am sick and tired of hearing you talk about it on the internet every single day. But if you think that that is the only way, then I don't know, Lord help us all. Because when you wake up in the morning, it's not normal to be like, I am a registered dietitian and I went Went to New York University. We know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know. I have a very functioning, working brain that taught me right from wrong. It's actually this very simple concept, but you know what, it's—
it's difficult. The ramblings of a crazy person.
Like, no, but she's— no, listen, she goes on about right versus wrong, right? But she's the wrong one.
Of course.
It's crazy to think.
You guys, this is one of almost 50,000 videos she posted over the course of this—
this year. Because they just see dollar signs, dollar signs. I accused F-Factor's fiber and protein powders, products that have been on the market for years, of being dangerous and unsafe. Put some protein powder in your coffee. Put some protein powder in your smoothie.
The person who edited this is an He needs an Emmy. He needs a job here at the Toast.
1,000%.
Put some 2020 protein powder in your pasta. Protein and fiber at every meal makes losing weight no big deal.
The real deal.
Put arsenic in your morning coffee.
Mmm.
Put arsenic.
Arsenic coffee, arsenic powder, arsenic pasta, arsenic salad. Sexy for Crazy.
You hurt people. She had people in the hospital physically sick. I mean, she still remains the worst of the worst as far as all these stories go. People losing their colons, people having hives all over their body, distended stomachs. Like, somebody even died. It's a heart attack at 45 years old. You tell me that this person should be walking the street. These claims were not supported by—
Okay, we don't need to watch the whole thing, but the crazier part is that like, you know, then she continues to document the journey on social media about the lawsuit, and she's accusing Tanya of having Mossad agents follow her around the Hamptons, people in unmarked vehicles following her and her family, like doxxing her, like literally just making shit up. She just— she didn't even let it go after the diet thing. So honestly, I think a lot of people would have just given up because people have forgotten about this, and I feel like Tanya, like, whatever, she's fine, she's fine, but like, she'll be fine. She did not stop until justice was served. And the thing is, is that I'm sure, like with any diet or product, it's not made for every single person. Like, I'm sure there's somebody who had diarrhea from taking it. I've taken something, you know, you do a diet—
I mean, I would hope you would have diarrhea from taking all that fiber.
No, you know, you go on Atkins, it doesn't, it doesn't match with you.
Like, yeah, it's not a perfect thing. You're very personal.
But to make accusations, like legally, you can't just say that shit. So for— and then Emily then posted this video on her own account. Now Emily does have this like army of people who believe her, people who think Tanya is this wrongdoer. And so you— the comments are like, our girl. But I also, because I read in the comments too, allegedly I think the settlement was around $200,000.
Yeah, $240,000.
That she has to pay like monthly because the disparity in finances cannot be overstated here. Um, and this video— if I was Tanya, I would have been just happy with the video, but of course $200 grand never hurt. Um, but I think she really just wanted to hurt this person like as much as she possibly could.
I actually think that the— like, she probably was getting a financial settlement because that's what you would expect if you're suing someone for damages. She lost $40 million. Um, the video was the cherry on top. The fact that her legal team even had the sense to ask, demand this in the settlement is fucking brilliant.
Yeah, I think that like Chani really wants her credibility reinstated. Like, it was just so quick, and you have to remember the time that we were living in.
But also, like, if there was just a settlement, it would have been a headline, these two settled, she paid her $200,000. Having this video— no, it just has made it almost as viral as the initial claims in 2020.
That's true.
Because she can't counteract all the damage that was done. F-Factor won't— you can't— lightning doesn't strike twice. Everyone's moved on, you know, everyone's—
Trends have changed.
GLP-1s, with all this fiber work with the GLP-1.
Actually, you are supposed to take a lot of fiber and protein when you have a GLP-1.
Tanya, it's your time. But so just for it to have even a fraction of the virality that Emily's had in 2020, that feels more like just—
Impactful.
Um, because also the money's not justice. She lost $40 million.
But also so much crazy shit happened on the internet during COVID and like, we all just sort of like laid it to rest. Like, oh, we were crazy. Like, but the fact that Tonya didn't let this go, like, is what I admire most about her because like, you can't just make shit up. And I feel like there's so many, like, there's so few consequences for like people who destroy other people's lives on the internet. Like, because you see it happen all the time and nobody, nobody gets in trouble. sued. Nobody goes to jail. Nobody does anything. They all just move on even when they're proven wrong.
A couple reasons why people don't sue: it's really hard to prove defamation.
Tanya spent $1 million over 6 years.
It's very expensive. It will consume your entire life. But like, Tanya could do it, right?
A woman of means.
The reason why I love this is that maybe it will have people thinking twice before they go crazy on someone and dedicate their life to taking down a person. Whether or not— I'm sure at the time Emily believed, like, she obviously believed she was doing the right thing, that Tonya's selling arsenic powder. But—
But even when she was proved wrong, she didn't stop.
Yeah. No. And like, this will make the next person think twice. So I think this is a gorgeous precedent.
Precedent to set.
And yeah, everybody who has had their life ruined on the internet doesn't wanna perpetuate the ruination by spending 6 years fighting it.
Of course.
When they could spend 6 years—
No. And you wanna heal. Yeah.
You wanna heal.
You wanna— No, you wanna rebuild.
You wanna pay your bills.
You have to work.
Yeah.
Dude, emotionally too.
Tonya's in a unique position.
She's in a unique position.
So thank you, Tonya.
I could not believe my eyes and ears when I was watching this video. Now the comments are so different because they posted the video— they should have done a collab post, but they posted the video on Tanya's video, on Tanya's page, which is where I saw it first. And all the comments were like, Tanya, I'm so happy for you, like, good for you, never giving up. And then I saw the video on Emily's page and the comments were like, we know why she's doing this, she's being forced to, she's being held hostage. And it's like, well, yeah, she is being forced to, but like, that's because that's what the court found.
Being forced to by a judge, by the law.
And you know what, the wheels of justice turn slow, but they work mighty fine. It was a beautiful ending to one of the crazier sagas I've lived through on the internet. And I wasn't even particularly obsessed with it at the time. People were, especially because in the city, all my friends, they were obsessed with Gigi Hadid.
It was an internet factor. Yeah.
And so it was like a big scandal. I was like, I don't do diets, this doesn't apply to me. But now I'm like, wait, this really was so crazy.
Yeah.
And I think that's the end of it. I'm sure Emily Emily Gellis. Hopefully she's not stupid enough because there's obviously some sort of stipulation that she's never allowed to talk about Tanya ever again. Like, and if she does, like, well, why would she?
Even if—
well, the thing is, why would she? You can't even apply rationale here because she should have stopped talking about her years ago.
Yes, but like, now that she's been put in her place, like, really, why would she? Do you want to lose another—
Well, because she does have all these fans who like believe that she's sort of like the victim of this campaign from a wealthy woman.
Listen, because I don't want to be now doing the opposite of ruining Emily Geller. Like, even though that's what she did and that's what she deserves, honestly, like, it doesn't have to be shot for the complete other way. Why— you, you have all these fans, amazing.
Go to work, right? Do something else.
Talk about something else.
Yeah, yeah. Build up Emily's self, not Tanya. You don't have to build up yourself breaking down others.
Yeah. So great, you have so many fans, go have a career.
Yeah. What a crazy video. Like, I— my jaw was on the floor. I didn't really watch them at the time. So seeing like now with the perspective of hindsight, seeing these Instagram stories where at the time people were like subscribing Emily, I think her followers were growing so much, like they couldn't wait to see what Emily was dropping today. Now seeing them, like knowing what we know, it's like we should have called the police.
We should have called the police.
Lock her up like insane.
Yeah.
One of the craziest things I've ever lived through.
Uh, yeah, so So yeah, that's a wrap on that, hopefully. Yeah, I think so.
Yeah, I think like Emily should just take this L, not take it any further. Like, just like Jackie said, have it. I think she has kids. Like, just enjoy your life.
It's over.
Yeah, you did bad.
And you have fans still.
Yeah, they were a lot of support for her in her comments.
Great. Start making like productive, positive, educational content.
That's beautiful.
You know so much better than the other people.
Yes.
You know all.
