It's actually insane how much the Real House West of New York trip to Morocco shaped me as a young woman. As you guys know, me and my high school friends, we watched Real House West of New York in high school growing up, and it literally made us who we are. Specifically, their trip. There were so many iconic moments from that trip. Luanne getting thrown off the camel, and then her just learning the word Yaha Bibi and making it her entire personality. Then, of course, the Hermon Monster shoes.

I feel like it might have been in... No, because they were on a trip together. So you came down the stairs in your Hermon Monster shoes, but maybe the shoes were on the trip. But I feel like it was when they went to St. Bart's or something.

I don't know how we even get to her. It's as if I lived on a different planet from her. There are a lot of people who are like, We're in the same orbit. We have a mutual friend. We have a similar agent, whatever. I have no connection to Molly May. I like it that way because I can really just be a true fan. But she has no idea what the toast is. I don't think she ever would or could.

That's why she's feeling overwhelmed and not in her best self.

Yeah. No. Also, she's very overwhelmed by motherhood. That was a very big theme of the show. I just feel like she would like our swirly take on it.

Mean Girls? Yeah, it's cliché for a reason. We quote other movies, too, like Sleepover, some of the greats and more indie films. But we do quote Mean Girls the most. It's the most quotable.

It's the most quotable. The The thing is, Mean Girls is the best movie ever made. It's insane to me that Tina Fé literally didn't get a Nobel Peace Prize for that movie. It is the greatest piece of cinema ever made. It literally made us who we are.

They tried to remake it for the kids, and the kids were like, No, we actually prefer the original.

If you were ever in the room with me when that movie was on, you wanted to leave that room. I knew every word to the entire movie. I probably don't now.

That's like that movie where they go to cheer camp and they play Bring It On for the campers, and the whole camp is quoting every single line. Bring It On is also very quotable. Is it?

Yeah, I think they're being shaped by K-pop demon hunters at the moment.

Well, actually, I saw- Which doesn't seem like the worst thing. I saw this TikTok. It was actually very analytical about the collapse of young adult media and how... Because somebody made a TikTok and was like, Who are the girlies of Disney channel right now? We all were raised with Selena, Demi, Hannah. Who are the girls right now? And somebody was like, There aren't any. Due to social media, TikTok, it has really collapsed this genre of teen media that we were all raised by. And we look back So finally, that doesn't exist. Now, there are shows being churned out on Disney and nick, but it's not this tween culture, tween obsession. No.

And it's also not really happening on Disney and nick, is more so. Summer, I Turned Pretty.

Right. And that's scary because they're happening on adult platforms. Very scary. So it's like you get Amazon Prime to watch a Summery Turned Pretty, and then you have access to like...

Molly May's documentary. Right.

Sure. That's what they're watching at night.

That's a really bad influence.

So, yeah, the collapse of tween media is very real.

Speaking of movies, you know what movie I watched this week? And I didn't even tell you. I'm so private.

But- Downton Abbey. What did you think? I thought it was adorable to see everyone back together. Literally nothing happened. The plot was thinner than a plot of an episode of the show.

It was a bad plot.

There was no plot, but I was glad- Mary is considered taboo because she's getting divorced. So we're going to We're going to have a dinner party for her. That's literally an episode of the show. We're going to have a dinner party. And everyone who in the last movie was retiring and move on, in this movie, it was their last day.

But I love that they're milking it for all it's worth. It's that type of franchise where they really can't ever do anything wrong. So, yeah, just get everyone back together and put a camera on. I'm down. Yeah.

No, I agree, but it's just funny who have become the mainstays Because they used to have a dinner. Every night, they would have dinner, and there were so many people there. But now the family is paired down, and now Mr. Mason's at the table.

There is an amazing new TikTok account that is committed to posting archival toast content. I'm obsessed with it. And yeah, They sent a hilarious clip about Jackie and I.

It's just funny. I'm going to post it to my story. I hate meaning to post it to my story because it's just really funny. But also what's funny about it is it's not something that we clipped back then. I don't even think we were doing clips. It's just a random moment that would have otherwise been completely completely forgotten in the anals of her story.

I cannot encourage people enough to source and post archival toast content. It makes me so happy.

Well, Monica's not funny. She's annoying as hell. When I think of a young Mariska, I didn't know she was doing comedy. The funny person on the show, specifically the funny woman, was Phoebe. That's why when you said funny, I thought Phoebe. But then just in terms I would have thought maybe Rachel. I would not have thought Monica. But Friends is just one of those shows where you hear Ellen was supposed to be Phoebe. Nobody else could have done what the six of them did. Do you know what I mean?

I actually feel like Ellen could have been Phoebe and Mariska could have been Monica.

So I guess whenever she's ready to retire, as you would at any job.

Right. It's like Ellen Pompeo on Grey's Anatomy. Everyone has left, but she's the last woman standing. And when she decides it's her time, I feel like it's also the time for the show.

Then they lost the contract a couple of years ago, and it's been on ABC for a while. But as of this NBA season, which started yesterday, NBA is back on NBC, and they have Michael Jordan as a emcee. What's it called, the sportscaster? No, Like the emcees.

He's so fiero, and I'm glad that he got to have this moment. I'm also glad for us that we got to see one of the world's best dancers dancing to the best musical dance song.

Yeah, I think in this new era, this new generation of Dancing with the Stars, because the show has been on for 20 years, the fact that there's a judge who can and does get involved in the numbers. Same with Carlton and Julianne Hough, how they ended that number. It's actually great because it's one thing to be a judge to talk the talk, but Derek also walks the walk. It's hard to take criticism from people who aren't doing it. I know they've done it, and experts in their field. But I think Derek... The Huffs in general, get a lot of criticism. Not for me. And I hear you, they're unique. But having a judge who actually gets up and dances while also criticizing the dancers and the pros, too, I really appreciate.

Walks the walk and talks the talk. For that reason, Julian and Alfonso are actually great hosts because he has the experience on the star side, and she has the experience on the pro side. So it's not like someone just there telling you, You could have done better when it's like, Well, what can you do?

I don't know about ballroom dancing or the scene. I trust that Bruno and Carian are important figures.

It was really bad. It I'm really hard on Scott, even though I do feel like he's had moments. It was obviously between him and Andy, right? Yeah. Not that I'm putting Dylan Efron in the bottom. It clearly wasn't him. It was between him and Andy, and people are like, Well, yes, objectively, if you look at both of them, Scott was better if you're comparing them to one another. There's a lot of people who are angry that Andy is still around, and Scott went home before Andy. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter because neither of them are going to win. So whoever goes home first It doesn't really make a difference. But I could see why people are like, Well, Scott can put one foot in front of the other. I'm like, Andy really can't. Why is Andy still there? It's really important to remember that Andy brings stuff to the table outside of the classic. He's a performer. He always makes me giggle during his dances. He has that Pjam charisma that... I'm sorry, it is valuable. That's why I voted for him. Did I think he had the best dance of the night?

No, but I enjoy myself watching him dance. I'd rather watch him bumble around the dance floor and make me laugh than Scott's performance, which was so boring. I don't really remember. I don't want to watch boring.

Andy is vastly improving, which is the point of this show. I actually think Scott is getting worse. I actually thought he was going to do great last night because he said, It is his whole personality. He loves Wicked so much. He completely forgot portions of the choreography. He was stumbling all over the place. Actually, I'm sorry. He was worse than Andy. It was his time to go.

Yeah. You can't compare anyone to Andy. Andy's time will run out when it's time to get serious, but it's not time to get serious. There are so many people there who are not amazing and are not going to win. Why can't Andy stay? I look forward to his dances. Me too. I felt like Elaine Hendrix, the second half of her dance, she didn't even dance. It was amazing. She was my best of the night. But it's worth mentioning, half her dance was just Alan struggling with his mind, and then her up in that thing. Sorry, it was amazing, but she only did half a dance.

Yeah, a lot of them, even Whitney and Robert a little bit got caught up in putting up on the set and everything and not doing so much like dancing. But it was fun to watch, and not every night needs to be the nut cracker.

Val needs to put something together for Alex, like something big. She's getting lost in the middle a little bit.

It was adorable. They used all elements. Obviously, his dance technicality is not the best. They used the extras and the costume and the song, and they just... It was a show. I enjoyed it so much. Jackie makes such a good point. It's like, well, yes, we could, you know, criticize everybody for their footwork or whatever. It's also about enjoyment and entertainment, and that's really what Andy provides. I was giggling to myself. He's so cute. He's having so much fun. Just let him have fun. It's not pity. It's just somebody who was so clearly going to be one of the first ones out is taking this so seriously and is challenging himself and getting better. It's just a joy to watch.

It is. It is. One day, there will be just the best people left, and Andy's will start to be a drag. Okay, this again. That's when it's his time to go. But I don't feel that at all right now, and it's not his time to go. I could go for another week. If one of bottom couples, so I would say Danielle and- Or Jen. I hate to say it, Jen. If they flop next week, Andy could have another chance. It's true.

No, I had chills. Before, the Defined Gravity thing, everybody was gagged over. I actually thought before. I was mad. When she dropped. She was insane. I love what she gets up to Julian and Julian asks her questions, and it happens every time. She's just so excited that she accomplished this thing, and she gives a little inspiration. I am proof that your dreams are never too late. She always says something so sweet. She's like, I can't believe I just did that. I love her. She's really good. The fact that she's 54, I'll never get over. I was almost annoyed that she did that stunt because I thought maybe the judges would say that took away because half the dance, she She was not dancing. She was getting strapped into that thing and then was just holding the broom. Then Allen was doing his little moment. Because before that, she was unbelievable. It was amazing.

Yeah. No, I don't think the judges were going to be like, That was too much. I think that in partnership with Wicked, they needed these moments, and they were not going to be like, You spent too much time doing that. It's like, Wait, we did it for your sponsorship.

Promo, yeah.

She was really good. But I do feel like she gets good scores. If she got a bad score. I don't know if she has as much fan support as you and I feel towards her.

No, that's fair.

Next, Jen and Yon. She got her best score yet, dancing to as long as you're mine.

But why were they still being... They're so unnecessarily hard on her. Outside of her being postpartum, they're not taking into account any of that. I feel like every time she gets criticism, they're so unnecessarily hard on her. Oh, by the way, you could tell Alex Earle fucking hates Carianne because Carianne was giving her a little criticism with a jab, and Alex was just not even listening to her. She hates her, and I feel that. The way that they give Andy a little bit of grace She had a special... Yeah. Where there's none of that for Jen, in addition to them just being really hard on her. I thought last night's Dance, I didn't see anything wrong with it. She had a bad song.

She got a bad song. She did a good job. I didn't see any... That's how I feel every single week.

And then her score- The choreography was very good.

Her score is like 32 out of 40, whereas someone else could have been 35 or 36. It's not going to be number one, okay? So just let her be whatever.

I have no idea why- She's being judged.

She's the only one who's actually being judged based on- So harshly. Yeah.

Because to me, I thought her dance was on par with Alex Earls.

Yeah, and she did it. She did it well.

Waiting for it to change. Yeah. So Danielle had her breakthrough moment. They say she danced to No Good Deed and Embraced Her Dark and Moody Side with a 36 out of 40.

Yeah. I actually appreciated the criticism last week of... It feels like she does the same thing every week. I don't even remember her dances individually. It's just like,. And so them doing a total opposite dark. I appreciate it. You know what? They were right. It did make her stand out. She did a very good job.

I guess they're right that it was... I don't know. I was just watching I'm like, Oh, I didn't think it was amazing.

I loved her at the top, like a slick back bud.

She looked great. Yeah, me too. But I was just like, How did she get a 36 and Jen got a 32? I don't know. That to me is just not... They were the same to me. Agreed. I'm just strong. Didn't blow me away, but did what they were supposed to do.

Next. Jordan Childs nabbing her first 10. You guys, Jordan Childs is not messing around.

What song did she do?

She did For Good. It was actually really good.

Yes, that's a great song.

And he did a good job choreographing it and the set and everything and the way to close out the night.

I feel like she's a dream star to get if you're a pro, right? She's not necessarily a dancer, but all the things that are involved, the lifts. I think a lot of people struggle, especially in the beginning, with the physicality of having to work out so hard. They're so sore the first couple of weeks. With Jordan, this is nothing.

Yeah. No, but she's just become a beautiful dancer, and she got 10s just like Whitney did. They're one and two at this point.

Yeah. So Jordan and Whitney.

Yeah. Do you think they put two guys in and Dylan?

Why not?

I don't know, because they're literally the same.

Yeah. I feel like two guys and two girls, that would be ideal for them.

That means no Alex in the top four. Right now, I just don't feel like Val is choreographing her for the top four.

Alex versus Dylan. That's the fourth spot.

Yeah. Because as it gets closer, you're real fans, it starts to matter. I don't think Elaine has a huge following.

Yeah. It's like all of them are operating at 10s, like true 10s, real 10s.

Elaine, Chesie being there every week is so sweet.

I I do like how it's going to be final four and then just the winner because I want to see Elaine and Andy- Make it to the finale. Be there for most of the show. But then we'll have one or two episodes where it's serious business.
