Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an 8-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together.
Remember, I have your 6. Get ready to level up right now.
What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex, and today We're talking about the part of business that doesn't come with a fresh burst of motivation. You've picked the idea. You've told people you're starting.
You're excited. Then the work starts repeating. Another conversation. Another follow-up. Another problem to solve.
Are you still interested when it stops feeling new? When I got into ATMs, I was still working as a detective. I had to learn how to find locations, operate the machines, and build income outside my paycheck. There was work behind that recurring income. It wasn't enough to like the idea of owning ATMs.
I had to deal with the business itself. If you want what a business can make possible, you need to understand what it asks you to do. First, find out whether you're willing to do the ordinary work. If you're starting a service business, getting the first customer is only part of it. You still have to schedule the work, show up, deliver, and handle questions afterward.
Ask someone in that business what an ordinary week looks like. Pay attention to the parts that sound repetitive. Those are going to be part of your life too. Pick something you can commit to operating, not just announcing. Second, keep your promises after you get paid.
A customer doesn't experience the excitement you had when you started. They experience whether you return the message and do the job properly. Make room for that work in your schedule. Don't spend all your attention chasing the next person while the current customer waits. Lastly, Know the difference between normal repetition and a problem you should fix.
Some work needs to happen again tomorrow. Some work keeps repeating because nobody corrected the mistake. Learn which is which. Build a clear way to handle the routine and address the issue that's creating unnecessary work. Bottom line?
Before you jump to another idea, ask whether the business is wrong for you or the excitement has simply worn off. Those deserve different decisions. Give the ordinary work an honest chance. The kind of business you can depend on needs someone willing to keep showing up for it. Thanks for tuning into the Level Up Podcast.
I'm Paul Alex reminding you that starting is a commitment to what comes afterward. Keep the promise, improve the work, and as always, keep leveling up. Some tasks need consistent attention, while others keep coming back because an underlying mistake remains unresolved. Knowing the difference helps you improve the business before deciding to abandon it.In this episode, you’ll learn:• Why an ordinary workweek matters when choosing a business.• How service after payment shapes the customer’s experience.• How to distinguish necessary repetition from preventable problems.• What to examine before trading your current business for another idea. The truth is simple:A dependable business requires someone willing to handle its everyday responsibilities.
