Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an 8-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together.

00:00:16

Remember, I have your 6. Get ready to level up right now.

00:00:21

What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex and And today, we're talking to the person trying to build something they didn't grow up seeing. Maybe nobody close to you owns a business. Maybe money was always something your family worried about.

00:00:36

You want a different future, but you keep wondering whether you're the kind of person who can create it. I understand that starting point. My mom came to this country from Peru and raised me as a single mother. We didn't have a lot of money. I started working around 15.

00:00:49

Later, I became the first millionaire in my family. And I was able to retire my parents. That matters to me because I know where we started. I know what responsibility looked like in our house. Helping my family was part of why I wanted to change my circumstances.

00:01:04

If you're trying to go first, there are going to be things you don't know. How to price your work. How to talk to a customer. How to tell whether the business is actually making money. You don't need to be embarrassed about those questions.

00:01:16

You need answers. Talk to someone who's done the work. Learn the part you're missing. You can respect where you came from and still seek knowledge you couldn't get there. And don't put so much pressure on yourself to change everybody's life that you never start changing anything.

00:01:31

Your first job is to become more capable and responsible with what you have. Keep the commitment you make. Understand your costs. Deliver the service well. Build something people can rely on.

00:01:43

My faith reminds me that success comes with responsibility. Wanting to provide for your family is a good reason to work. Let it also be a reason to make thoughtful decisions, tell the truth, and take care of the people who trust you. Bottom line? Being the first means some parts will be unfamiliar.

00:02:00

It doesn't mean they're unavailable to you. You don't have to solve your family's whole future this week. Take responsibility for the next step you can take. Learn something useful. Apply it.

00:02:10

Give yourself a real chance to build. Thanks for tuning in to the Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex reminding you that your starting point doesn't have to decide where you finish. Keep your purpose close, do the work in front of you, and as always, keep leveling up. Thanks for listening up to the Level Up Podcast.
