Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an 8-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together.
Remember, I have your 6. Get ready to level up right now.
What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex, and today I want to explain something I tell my team. Don't think, do. Now, that That doesn't mean ignore the facts or make a careless decision.
It means stop using another round of thinking to avoid a step you already know you need to take. Because let's be real, sometimes you don't need more information, you just don't want to hear no. When I worked narcotics investigations, the schedule could change on us. If information came in about something happening at night, we had to be ready at night. I couldn't wait for the assignment to become convenient.
I had to understand what was happening Adjust and do my job. I use that lesson in business. Look at what's in front of you. Make the decision the facts support. Then move.
Think about the call you've been putting off. You have the number. You know what you offer. But now you're rewriting your introduction again. Then you decide you should watch somebody else's sales video first.
Another day goes by and you still haven't spoken to a customer. What exactly are you waiting to learn that a real conversation wouldn't help you learn? Make the call. Ask the question. Listen to the answer.
Now you've got something useful to work with. There's a difference between a decision that needs serious homework and a step you're avoiding because it's uncomfortable. Signing an agreement you don't understand needs attention. Sending the follow-up you promised needs action. Stop treating those like the same problem.
Here's what I want you to do today. Choose one thing you've already decided matters. Sending the proposal. Following up with the prospect. Having the conversation.
Put a time next to it and do it before you start searching for another reason to wait. Bottom line? Don't think, do means thinking should lead somewhere. Get the information you need. Take responsibility for the decision.
Follow through. You don't need to feel completely comfortable to make a useful move. You need to stop giving the same fear another day on your calendar. Thanks for tuning in to the Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex, reminding you that the plan only starts helping when you act on it.
Make the call, take the step, and as always, keep leveling up. Thanks for listening up to the Level Up Podcast. Another day of planning can still end with nothing done. The call is waiting. The proposal is ready. What keeps you from taking the next step?In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down what “Don't Think, Do” actually means and how to recognize when more thinking has become a way to avoid action.Drawing from the demands of investigative work, Paul explains why gathering facts must lead to a decision. In business, waiting for a task to feel comfortable can keep an important conversation off your calendar indefinitely. Some decisions deserve serious research. Others need you to follow through on what you already understand. This episode challenges you to recognize the difference, learn from real customer conversations, and give one unfinished commitment a specific time today. In this episode, you’ll learn:• How to recognize fear hiding behind more preparation.• Which decisions need research and which steps need action.• Why customer conversations provide information planning alone cannot.• How to turn an overdue commitment into a scheduled task. The truth is simple:You can make a thoughtful decision and still feel uncomfortable carrying it out. Take responsibility for what comes next.Choose the step. Set the time.
