Welcome to Notes from the Edge, where we have the conversations we should have been having all along. We talk about the things that we're not talking about. I'm your host, Lisa Lacey, writer, trauma educator, executive advisor, and author of the upcoming memoir Notes from a Certified Madwoman. Welcome to The Edge. Hey, hey, my friends. Welcome back to another episode of Notes from The Edge. I am your host, Lisa Lacey, and this is the place we have the conversations we should have been having all along. Guess what? You ain't talking about it. So today we're gonna, with special guest Heather Schmid, and today we're talking about What is your voice actually hiding? Before we dig into vibrational voice healing, I want to tell you a little bit about Heather. Heather is a classically trained opera singer, international recording artist, Grammy voting member, and creator of vibrational voice, a practice exploring the relationship between breath, sound, self-expression, and the human experience. After 25 years of performing across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America, she began questioning something fundamental: what happens when our voice becomes something we perform rather than something we authentically express? Today, her work focuses on helping people explore their natural voices through breathing, humming, sustained vocal tones, without requiring musical training or special equipment.

00:01:52

She helps them work through their fears, and she is the creator of Voice of the Earth, a feature documentary exploring sound vibration and humanity's relationship to the living world. Through her performances, documentary screenings, and guided practices, she invites us all to discover what our voices might reveal when we no longer feel obligated to sound beautiful, Agreeable or Perfect. Heather, welcome to Notes from the Edge, my friend. How are you today?

00:02:24

I'm doing so great. Thank you so much for that intro.

00:02:28

Yeah, yeah, you're welcome. Again, like I said in the podcast before the podcast, it's always easier when somebody else says it. So it's Notes from the Edge. So we are going to dive right in.

00:02:41

I loved the ending too. When you're no longer agreeable.

00:02:46

Ah, we're gonna talk about that. We're gonna talk about that. Before we do though, walk us into the moment or moments that you realized that you no longer wanted to sound a certain way but simply wanted to express yourself. What happened there?

00:03:08

Well, it was the making of the movie, honestly. I had a plan, as opera singers do. We always have a good plan to record the sounds of nature in the Azores. The Azores is the most beautiful island off the coast of Portugal. And with my filmmaking partner, Sarah, we arranged to have these musicians come together and create this song and create this movie about the sounds of the earth and about frequency and vibration and understanding that with some experts. But then as I walked with my clipboard and my plan and my big boom mics and my crew, we had 6, 6, we had 4, 4 to 6 people. I walked into this beautiful land and walked into this waterfall and my whole body started shaking, just physically shaking. Like, and I felt fine. I felt like I was, you know, um, ready to do this. I was feeling great about our, our song and this creation and, and listening to the earth was the thing was very, very excited about. But, uh, the Earth was speaking to me. It was speaking to me through my body, and it was shaking me, and I was crying, and I was going through what I now see as the ascension process.

00:04:34

And I was going through what, um, you know, I thought I was going crazy, but really I was becoming so much more of myself and sound and vibration and nature were bringing me there. It was a pivotal moment where my music and my voice and everything had come together to be able to understand something so much bigger, so much more fundamental, and then to be able to create a practice to help other people who are going through those experiences to be able to move through them with more ease and I mean, it's not easy, but it is a practice. The vibrational voice is a practice that helps, helps move through those emotions moving through you.

00:05:26

Oh, what a beautiful experience to have. And it sounds like an exquisite place to have it. Um, Heather, before, before we get into it, um, just to let you know, uh, my husband is a classically trained guitarist and, uh, he lets me sing. tag along to him in nursing homes and play random percussion instruments. And, um,

00:05:52

oh, wonderful.

00:05:53

When he was first practicing his voice, he was trying to sound like some of his famous— his, his favorite singer-songwriters. And, uh, it was my recommendation that he find his own, right? Find your own instead of trying to sound like somebody else's. So For the people, like, I don't know, myself, who thought, oh, I can't sing, what would you encourage them to do today in order to move through— because a lot of that fear does get stuck in our bodies— to move through some of that fear as we lean into what you teach through your vibrational method? What if fear is stopping us. Maybe an 8th grade teacher said, you can't sing, never do it again. I don't know, it might be a true story.

00:06:49

Yeah, yeah, it's a true story for so many, so many. Um, and the, the first piece is acknowledging and understanding and having self-empathy, and then deciding to change the story. So many of us have bought into what other people have said about us. Oh, you can't sing, you don't have, you don't have the tone, you don't have a nice tone You can't sing in tune. And then just, okay, well, the people that I love or the people that are near me or the people who are supposed to know are, are telling me they, they must know better than me. And then to be in— then rewriting your story when you were 10, right? Or rewrite it when you were in those formative years. Rewriting that story takes a minute, and it also takes some tenacity, and it takes some some ownership to be like, okay, that was my story. Now I'm gonna rewrite that story and I'm gonna find my voice. The voice is— it's your— the voice is the window to the soul. So there is trauma there. There is, you know, the— this chakra, the throat chakra, has trauma from people telling us all kinds of things and us believing it and us hiding our voice, us not believing in our voice, us not feeling that we have a strong enough voice.

00:08:14

Um, and then the other thing that happens is the voice, when we're speaking, it reveals those hidden little things, that hidden little lack of confidence that, you know, the— that, that have been tamped down, tamped down. And the process that I love to go through is to be able to radically accept whatever weird, crazy, ridiculous sounds that are coming out of your body And say, this is who I am now. I am rewriting that story. And your brain, the little synapses follow along. You gotta, you know, really lean into it and they follow along. We're rewriting this story.

00:08:56

I love it. Through the body, through the voice, which is so much more effective than just through the mind alone. Because boy, oh boy, talk about how we can get stuck in those stories in our mind.

00:09:15

Yes. Yeah, we— the amazing thing about this practice, which I, I learned only through my experiencing my own traumas and going through it myself, was that your voice will speak to your subconscious, those things that are hidden. So when you're toning and when you're— there are ways you can really recognize what is ready to be released. Right? Those little hidden things. It's better because it's coming from your actual heart. Your mind will trick stuff, it'll work stuff around, it'll like, no, no, this is great, no, this is doing great, you know? Or like, it'll, it'll manipulate the story sometimes. But your heart and your voice is going to be telling the truth. And it's a much more direct way of moving through something. And, um, and that's why I really like that practice, because we, we can really get in our heads about things, and we can write stuff down, and we can rewire our brain. And but the things that are hidden, or that are stuck in our body that are ready to be released, ready to be moved through, this practice really helps you to, to be able to do that. And It's at your own pace and with you as the leader of your own healing, which is really a powerful thing.

00:10:41

I love that. And without having to revisit the same story in the same way over and over and over in your mind with the same words you've told for maybe 3 decades since you were 10 years old. So I want to circle back to that pivotal moment when you were in the— in nature, um, with your clipboard. A hilarious visual, by the way.

00:11:11

In front of— in front of the— oh, that waterfall! You can see it. It's just majestic. Yeah.

00:11:19

Yeah. You were no longer worried about the clipboard. Um, my husband will often tune his guitar To 432 Hz. And this episode is sponsored by Vinted. You know, we talk a lot on this show about the things we hold on to long after they've stopped serving us, and apparently that applies to clothes too. I went through my closet recently and found things I haven't worn in forever, and I'm still thinking, well, maybe someday. Someday when? Who is this version of me I'm saving an entire wardrobe for? That's where Vinted comes in. Vinted is a secondhand marketplace app where you can sell clothes you no longer wear and make some extra money. And Vinted makes it simple. Listing is quick and easy, and when something sells, Vinted creates the prepaid shipping label for you. Even better, Vinted has zero seller fees, so you keep everything you earn. Suddenly, letting go feels a lot more rewarding. So maybe that green shirt that's not even your color you keep moving around your closet is ready for someone else. Give your clothes a second life with Vinted. Download the Vinted app for free and start listing. With no seller fees, you keep every dollar you earn.

00:12:34

I see the difference.

00:12:36

You do?

00:12:36

And the dogs, and I feel the difference in myself. Talk to us about why that might be.

00:12:46

Yeah, there— I don't know the full story of why they changed it to 440. Um, that the 440 is the, is the way that I learned as an opera singer. This is the, the note that we all as an orchestra tune to, as we as musicians on the piano tune to. And, uh, some research has shown that 432 is the frequency of healing. It's, it's the— it's nature's frequency, as they say. And, um, and we are now learning how to let our bodies and let our intuition guide those moments, and we're now believing those moments. I also feel more healing in 432. And so we all have vibration. So this is— I learned from John Stuart Reid's work in cymatics, and, um, he's an acoustic researcher. I've been a student of his for many years because he really goes into the physics, right? And this is the physics of vibration and sound. And so, um, there is this vibration in nature and you can measure it. And then as you come into nature and you are attuning to nature your body will raise its frequency to meet the vibration of where you are. So this waterfall was this majestic, beautiful place at a certain frequency and vibration.

00:14:21

And as I walked in, my vibration had to raise. I wanted to. You, you, you make this little agreement. And my, my body wanted to and was ready to raise itself to that frequency. So as I was raising to that frequency, sticky stuff had to be released, right? Those little like stuff that was— and so that was me crying and that was me shaking and my body moving through. And then being able to really hear an intuitive voice that was saying, this is the most natural thing. This is a process. You are doing this so that you can show others. How? And then hearing the words like, come back to me, come back to me, and like, we can heal you. And like hearing the words of the earth saying over and over at these beautiful sacred sites, at the ocean, at the water, at the mountains. And it's nature's tuning of our frequency. And, um, It's incredibly powerful. And so then I learned this practice to, to consciously know what was happening.

00:15:37

Yeah. And to let it, right? To allow.

00:15:40

And to let it. That was the big thing. Boy, was I fighting. I was fighting.

00:15:45

I'm in control here.

00:15:47

Who has the clipboard? I have the clipboard, not you. I have the clipboard. We're not crying with a clipboard. I mean, we're not doing that. Ah, but we are friends. There are some moments— there are some moments you must— and as you know, which I didn't, and I learned that the only pathway through is to allow, to allow, to let go, and to know you are safe. No, you are held, and this is the most natural process. So there I was in front of— he's holding the boom mic, I am crying, crying, still holding the clipboard. I would not let that damn thing go. He's holding the boom mic, and this is a one— he's— Gustavo is a wonderful guy. He's holding— are we filming this? Oh yeah, we're filming this. This is what we're filming in front of.

00:16:43

This is what we came here for.

00:16:45

This is what we came here for. We didn't know 'Cause we weren't gonna tell you that part 'cause that's not working. And the drone guy, he's got a drone over the top. I'm crying on the side of it, shaking like this, shaking with Sarah, who's my genuine closest friend. She's like, nope, you gotta do it. This is what it is. The true documentarian filmmaker, like, this is what it's for. And also, she was also on her own healing journey. She knew It was what it was meant to be, you know, in these moments. And so it was these moments of filming 10 days in 10 different locations, me crying in front of church bells while we were trying to film the sounds of the bells, uh, the beautiful— the whole island is filled with these gorgeous bells, and I'm there. Oh my God, crying and feeling genuinely insane. And by the end, boy, were they laughing at my ass. Like, it was genuinely funny in front of the ocean with the waves splashing and like getting the sounds of the waves and then, you know, like just panicking. And, and it was such a, uh, a journey, a journey, a journey of vulnerability that had to be shown so that I could move through it myself.

00:18:12

So that others could see. And it was only after I finally started editing, saying— telling my editor that we're not gonna— we're still gonna make the other movie, we're not gonna put all that shaking and shit in there, that I look crazy. And he was like, okay. We made that movie and it didn't work because it wasn't the true story. And the whole time Sarah was saying, you have to tell the truth. And I was resisting, saying, I don't want the whole world to see me lose my damn mind on film. Still knowing that— and the weird dichotomy of knowing that it was what was meant to be, right? It was, it was for the greater purpose. So that because so many of us are going through these changes, it's the most natural thing to release these things. There's so much energy now to be able to release from our body that which no longer serves. And so many of us are ready now like we never were before. And here's the pathway.

00:19:24

It's messy. We are ready. We are ready. And it is, it is messy. Um, Heather, how important is it You knew enough to listen to that still small voice saying, come back to me, you are safe, this is natural, you will teach others this. How important is it for us to get still enough? Because not every one of us have a beautiful waterfall right in front of us to go through this process. So I appreciate that you've developed, um, a way for us to encounter um, what you were able to experience. But how important is it for us to listen to that still small voice in our bodies, not up here?

00:20:11

Yeah, that was the really beautiful thing. I, I came to somatic healing, um, as a modality to, to go through the process more easily. And I learned, as I'm sure you know, that the body tells the true story and that That feeling in our gut, that, that pitted feeling which we have, which I for my whole life ignored— whole life— is the story, is the truth. That if you go and, and it's this practice of just going into that feeling, asking it, what are you trying to tell me? What are you telling me? And listening and being quiet enough to listen, right? To, to let go of the, the mind, let go of that, but to be able to listen and hear. And it was only after my meditation practice that I would— so I had been meditating for 2 years and then going to the waterfall that, that my body was ready to release that and really to hear itself. And, and so I had practiced really, I'm sure it's easier for other people, I was just too stubborn, right? But that, but feeling in your body where, what your body is telling you.

00:21:40

And that's the same thing with the voice practices. What is this tone of your voice telling you? What is the end of the tone telling you? What is the breath telling you? And then you hear, you can hear the messages. And then you get, get better and better at really listening to, oh, as you walk into a room going, oh, this energy's off. Some, something in this room is energetically off. I believe you, solar plexus. Mine were my solar plexus, but it's different for everybody. I believe you, solar plexus. What are you telling me? And it translates to Every part of my life.

00:22:21

How important is it for us to eventually start believing ourselves?

00:22:28

This is my— and this was the message that was coming through from the earth that I was hearing and saying out loud, that the time has come, particularly as women, to believe ourselves, to hear how we have been speaking to ourselves and truly believe ourselves. Because culture has told us we're too loud. Culture has told us we're making too much of a mess. Culture has told us we've been too aggressive. And, um, and the wounds of healers are really there in our body. But the time is now where our voices collectively are really growing in strength. We are believing ourselves as the feminine in so— it's, it's so— it makes me so proud to see the sisterhood raising each other up and believing each other. And when a room full of women believe you, you start to believe yourself and you start to unwrite those stories which are culturally everywhere. You know, like when you go into a boardroom and you're emotional, you're the crazy one. Actually, you're just deeply in touch with your emotion. And, um, so each one of us are going through that process. You know, many of us are leading through that process of being able to move through those emotions, move through getting to our authentic self.

00:24:09

And it's an incredibly powerful healing process. And the message from the Earth and from nature was like, we're here with you. This is, this is the feminine rising to meet the masculine so that we can co-create together.

00:24:27

Um, so much of that needed right now. So much of that needed right now. Well, what are we going to discover in the documentary?

00:24:41

Over and over at these nature sites, the Azores being a very—it's a beautiful place. But as I was meditating more, I was getting more in touch with these messages from the earth, and when I was moving through these traumas, letting them build up and move through. In replace of that were these voices, this, this deeper connection to the earth, this like needing to take my shoes off when I went to the ocean and feel the earth and feel the sand and having this peaceful and profound connection. And so going to the ocean and having her say to me, this is a time of great change, it's a time of tumultuous change, but it is also the time of profound healing. And with that change, with that tumultuous change, comes in a new way— this new way to be, a way that is more connected to the Earth, a way that is more connected to yourself, and a way that is more co-creative, where we can build together and heal each other. And still, you know, flutters my heart to feel that energy of that of which we are creating together. And so the movie shows the process of healing.

00:26:15

Um, it shows how, you know, they, they say as you walk in nature, the mycelium network comes through and your body is actually attuning to those vibrations. And you just have to walk outside. You don't need a waterfall, though it's really fun to be in the waterfall and it's pretty powerful. And just being more— yeah, just, just creating that practice in your life of listening, listening to yourself, listening to the messages, listening to and allowing, allowing what needs to move through you to move through you. And the, the movie is about vibration. So John Stewart Reid and Dr. Jenny, who's a good friend of mine, talk about what actually is happening within the physics of that, right? The sound. So all things are frequency and vibration. And so there you have these ultrasounds as you go to the waterfall, these ultrasounds, these very high and these very low tones that we actually can't even hear with our ears. But our body is taking those sounds in because these are sound bubbles that just, you know, they move through your whole body and your body attunes to those. And he even has these amazing studies where it shows the actual healing of your human cell as your body is raising these vibrations.

00:27:45

And as, as many studies have shown, shown that we use ultrasound to, to heal in the— my husband's a physician. And so they use ultrasound to heal, to break up ulcers, to, you know, it's the same exact thing that is happening within your body. And so it's a very natural process and it's sort of the, um, the, the way to show how that can happen for you.

00:28:13

I, Heather, I've always loved watching people just work on themselves, raising their own vibration, healing their own stuff. And in my experience, there's this extraordinary thing that happens, and let me know if it's been the same thing with the people you work with, is that the people in their life will rise up to meet them, right? They grow too, or they fall off. Yeah, you know, the toxic bonds will sometimes just take themselves out and they're replaced with people that are supportive and inspiring and to meet you where you're at. What has been your experience kind of watching the ripple effect of us just working to release our own stuff first?

00:29:03

Yeah, yeah, I, you know, that's— it's so beautifully said. And in the beginning of my journey around the pandemic, I heard that message. As you raise your vibration and as you release these traumas, the people around you will rise to that. And, uh, I did not see that happening around me. What I saw was a lot of judgment, um, and a lot of declaring of craziness and a lot of woo-woo girl, go off to your meditating woo-woo girl. And then Slowly, slowly, slowly. Um, it totally did happen that way. And sometimes it was explosive. You know, my husband and I relationship had to dissolve entirely and recreate from the ground. And Jesus, was that hard.

00:29:56

I bet.

00:29:57

That was very traumatizing and painful and difficult and a rebirth has happened. And, and, um, it's the most beautiful blessing. And I also give myself credit for that because I stuck through it. I really just, as you say, kept my vibration, kept meditating, just kept releasing and doing this healing journey. I was doing somatic voice work. I was doing these daily tonings. And I was gathering a group of women who healed each other. We keep healing each other. I would go to these retreats and we would just bliss out. And, you know, oh, this thing, you know. And there was boys there too, but it's a, you know. And, and that process is so powerful. And yes, it did happen. We— I used to think that, um, You know, I was gonna become enlightened and I was gonna be this cool Buddha sitting under the tree. It's gonna be like this beautiful process of like, I did it! I'm like, whoa, I'm so like woke, like, you know, I'm just one with bliss and oneness. And it has been such a struggle.

00:31:19

So we're not saying it's easy, folks.

00:31:23

We're not saying there is—

00:31:24

and I went to it. I pray—

00:31:26

yes, I pray that you know the easier path, that I had to choose the hard one. Um, but no, the relationships are the hard part. And I, and I have sat in so many a room whose relationships did not, um, did not move through the same, you know, it, it— yes, the trauma bonds were the things that were holding together. And, um, And that evolution is hard, but it's also really, really beautiful. What I found in myself through that process as a woman in a long-term relationship was I had to kill the one who gave my soul away, gave my soul away to my kids, gave my soul away to my husband, gave my soul away to cultural expectations. And then I had to drag it back. And I had to really reform those relationships and, and just with tenacity and resilience. And I know so many women who are doing the same thing. And it is so beautiful to watch. Oof.

00:32:42

Yeah.

00:32:43

I know that it's my life purpose to share that story with other women so that they can empower themselves to grow through these changes too.

00:32:52

Yeah. And stay the course on the growth path to not, not give up on the, on the days we're stuck in the valley. How pivotal for you was it to have other brave, supportive women on this journey with you?

00:33:11

Yeah. Yeah, and starting from Sarah, my sister, um, you know, just sitting with me on the side of the mountain as I shake and cry through, and just sitting with me holding a camera in my face in that case, but still there. She's still sitting. We accounted for that. But that— and yes, the, this, the sister, and just Those rooms, being in those rooms, which again I understand now is those are high vibrating rooms where profound acceptance, profound just meeting you as you are, where judgment-free rooms where whatever is happening, whatever process you're moving through, where it's just a beautiful meditation, where— or where it's a very difficult Where we sit together and just hold that space for each other. That has been so beautiful. There are some parts of this healing journey that are solitary. We, you know, we, we do commit to that. And there are parts that we can be held in so much love in those rooms. that it's just instantly healing, and it is so beautiful to, to be a part of that.

00:34:39

Yeah. And my friends out there, if you haven't found that yet— in my own journey, I, I started solo and I sought and I kept seeking until I found people who were able to just be and hold space with and for me. So we exist, we're out there.

00:35:09

You

00:35:09

haven't found us yet, I promise. You keep seeking, Avenda, and you will. Well, Heather, when you— when you— what's the best place and way for people to, to work with you or work with your vibrational methods? What's the easiest place for to go to, to find out more information if this is resonating and they just have a knowing that it's time for them to allow these processes and practices to begin?

00:35:45

Yeah, I have a, um, a one-on-one service called Vibrational Voice which goes through this somatic voice healing process. And I personally have found breathwork and somatic healing to be very profoundly healing and moves through the process more quickly. So that's why I delve deep into somatic voice work particularly. And vibrational voice is not singing. It's allowing your voice to speak to you and then hearing what it's telling you. And so I, as a trained opera singer and deep into this practice, can hear those pieces very easily and can help guide you through that— what is, what is, uh, what is coming out and what is ready to be released. Because it's a co-creating process where whatever you and your body are ready to release in that moment is going to come out. I promise you it's not going to be beautiful because that is not the point. It's gonna be loud, it's gonna be ugly. It's not about singing. It isn't about singing. It is about hearing your inner voice. And so that's the practice I have. I do one-on-ones. I also have a circle coming up for the winter solstice, where we're doing a releasing practice.

00:37:17

We're going to release as the ancients did, 13 things that are ready to go. And so we're gonna— I have a huge fire ceremony, which I'm really excited about doing that. Yes, yes, that feels very energetically proud. And I'm— I welcome you. I welcome you to that. And, and so yeah, Vibrational Voice, I can share the link. On Vibrational Journeys, my website. It's also on my personal website, heatherschmidt.com. And so there are— I do group work and I also do one-on-ones. Yeah.

00:37:57

Fantastic. Well, friends, you don't have to write anything down. We will have all that information in a clickable link for you. So if, uh, what Heather's got for you is resonating, you can find her Very, very easily. How beautiful in not being beautiful, uh, is, is this process that you found for the rest of us. I, I'm excited about it. So I will certainly be reaching out to you guys. And be sure, friends that are listening on all podcast platforms, to catch this on YouTube as well if you guys want to check out the video. Now, Heather, I am not done with you yet, my friend, because We always close out our episode with 2 questions for each of our guests. Are you ready for the first one?

00:38:49

Okay. Okay.

00:38:50

All right, here we go. In your own life, what do you feel like you performed the most in order to survive or just get by? And what did setting down or letting go of that role, mask, or performance What did that do for your life?

00:39:13

Hmm, yeah, the, the word beauty is the one that's coming to mind. I always— I had a tumultuous upbringing with ADHD and, um, not being a successful student, but I really took to music and opera singing pretty early. And so the beauty of tone was really important to me. The beauty of what I was presenting was important to me. And I saw that that was bringing acceptance from the world. That was that exterior validation that I wasn't getting from myself. I wasn't feeling in soul. And being beautiful, making beautiful tone, making beautiful performances, being, being pretty to the world, being fun and vivacious, and beauty was a way in which I could turn around my own story of, of, you know, not doing well in school, not being accepted being too much. You know, I'm like a Gemini Cancer, so I feel everything. Being an empath, feeling everything, the exuberance of emotions, being a performer, being, being too much, always too much. That was a way to mask, a way to, um, present to the world. And somewhere along the way, I lost myself in that. And, you know, I spent the first half of my career wanting to be at the Grammys, wanting to have these accolades, needing this red carpets, needing that external validation.

00:41:14

And now I've spent the second half of my life undoing that shit, undoing the caring so deeply what the world saw about me, because I needed to feel what my— so I needed to feel good with myself first. And it's the most fundamental thing, but it's the thing that you can only really go through the process yourself of, of really getting to that place of not needing that, that validation, not needing that Not needing to be beautiful, not needing to have a beautiful tone. And I did it so much so that now my voice practice is the opposite of that. How, how ugly, how pure, how deep of a tone can you express that is not beautiful? Mm-hmm. It is raw. It is vulnerable. It is the new capable you.

00:42:16

Ah,

00:42:17

yeah,

00:42:17

incredible, incredible. Last question, my friend. What do you want us as human beings to be having more conversations about that we are not talking about?

00:42:32

Hmm, I, I call it the ascension process, and it is a healing thing that is happening and When you go to your doctor, he will give you SSRIs because he thinks that you can't manage your life, and it is often presenting like that. Um, and also, it is a profound healing process where your body is saying, I am ready to move through these traumas that have been sitting in our body for our whole life. And in fact, our ancestors' DNA is in there too. So as you unfold your own, you're doing it for your ancestry. And I've seen in deep meditations the gratitude from the ancestries when we are releasing these pains and releasing these traumas. It does— it does something beautiful anyway. And so the ascension process is a real thing. It is a healing process that is not understood by your primary care physician, is not understood by your friends often, and it is mistreated, if I may even say, my own husband being a physician. But in this case, the— it is a profound coming back to ourselves. And it is a healing process that is beautiful, that whatever you need to go through, that if you need your SSRIs, you— that is the, the story.

00:44:18

There is no wrong or right in that healing process. But, um, but the rawer and the realer you can get with The more beautiful healing you will see. I have found the most profound peace and joy and healing. I didn't know I was in fight or flight my entire life until, God, 7 years ago or 6 years ago even. And that anxious feeling, that what's next feeling, that like that worry, that like not enough feeling is gone. It's finally gone. And I want that for you. I want that for my sisterhood. I want that for our humankind. And that is what I am dedicating my life for.

00:45:13

Well, thank you, my friend. Friends out there, if this has hit home There's something in you. We're going to make Heather very easy for you to find. And I'm going to ask those of you listening and those of you watching on YouTube the same question. What might you be performing in order to survive or just get by? Are you in fight or flight? Maybe don't even know it. And what do you think setting down that role that mask or that performance might do to lighten your load just a little bit so you can begin the process of clearing some of this stuff. Sean, we see you. Thank you for hanging out with us. Sean says thank you very much, Heather.

00:46:04
