Good morning, millennialss, and welcome back to The Toast. Happy Friday. That so doesn't feel like a Friday. You guys, it's the last day of the week. Obviously, we're rejoicing. We're really grateful. However, so much is happening.

So much is happening. So much has happened. It is a Friday. So much will happen. In so many ways, it does feel like a Friday because it's a celebration that we're together, that we're in this pargy professional studio.

Let's talk about something.

We need to talk about the studio in the room.

We need to talk about how mostly everybody listens to the show on their podcast platforms. I could forget because after all of the murmurs that I made about it this week. I did not watch because I went to sleep early last night, which I never do, because yesterday we had a huge day. First of all, we recorded at 07: 00 AM, and I was up so late at my big event that I literally got five hours of sleep that night, and my cough was keeping me up. So I was so tired all day I had such a huge day because it was Harry's birthday. Oh, my God.

It was Harry's birthday.

It was just a totally full day. By the end of the day, I literally got into bed at 9: 00 and went to sleep. I was like, Southern Charm can wait. I know Claudia will barely remember, and no one's waiting for my recap.

No, it's so funny? Ready? You think so little of me. I appreciate that. You watched? I was getting ready last night. I'm here for a wedding. It was the first night of the wedding. The bride is Moroccan, so last night was a henna party. It was very fun. I had fun and glam, so I'm sitting in glam and I needed to watch something. I just put on the TV in the I put on Bravo and Southern Charm was on. Now, it wasn't the new episode. It happened to have been Old Seasons with Ashley Jacobs. Oh, wow. I ended up just watching it when Shep brought those two girls-The threesome girls. That also had a threesome with to the party at Patricia's house. That's what I was watching. I actually watched that season live when it was happening, but it was truly a time capsule. Ashley Jacobs was one of the craziest times of my life.

Yeah, that was a crazy time.

It was just because- No, she was starting out in earnest doing interviews, and so she came on the toast. It was really early in the season. I don't think a lot of people wanted her on yet, but we're like, Yeah, sure. We love Southern Charm. It was a bonus that he came. We didn't expect him to come. Then things got bad for them, and she stopped doing press. But I think she had intended to do a lot of press. It's just like her press tour got cut short, and she was an early cast member. In those early days, you go on... I mean, we've always been the biggest show in our hearts and minds.

We have always been the biggest show on the internet.

But I think then it was like she wasn't doing E-news yet, but the toast. We were just both the right size at the right time.

There's your Southern Term Recap. I didn't watch, but I got a full night's sleep. I woke up on my own so early, way before my alarm to get ready for my big day in the city. I'm just such a I'm wearing a big city slicker today, commuting to work with my coffee, with my bag.

Jackie keeps acting like she grew up in Boise. She's in the studio. She's like, Yeah, big city slicker. It's like you literally grew up in Manhattan.

I am wearing a dress because this dress is all that fits me right now. I'm with child, so everybody can eat my ass, but no. But it's about my child.

It's a huge news. You guys, I already know that's why it's not news to me, but I'm going to still act like I don't.

Yesterday, after we recorded yesterday's episode, the second we stopped, Dr. Fox protected me my glucose results. Now, I could have shared them on social media, but I thought, We're family here. Save it for the show. There's been a lot of speculation about whether or not Turdi tested positive for gestational diabetes.

Was she GD Aladine or GD Aladine? Or GD Aladine. The answer is, I am GD Aladine.

I am not having to He did the three-hour test yet. I passed my glucose test. I'm so skinny. This is what Dr. Fox said when he texted me. He said, Glucose... Who is she? You passed. You're slightly anemic. So what I heard-So he called you skinny. You are so skinny. Frale. You are suffering During malnourishment from how skinny you are. You have no food in your body, your skin and bones, and we are worried about you at this office. That's what I heard Dr. Fox say.

That's what he said.

Yeah. He said slightly anemic. It's giving slim.

It is.

It's giving Clean Bill of Health, TGTGBH, God willing. I don't have to suffer that three-hour test. I don't have to drink that thing ever again until the next time.

Even if she liked it a little too much. Yeah.

But it wasn't the news I was expecting. I I just felt like my fate was to have gestational diabetes. Do you know what I mean? I'm almost a little disappointed.

I think it would just been too...

Yeah. No, I didn't see that for you. You have made a lot of it now that I think about it.

Yeah. Well, everybody really hypes up that glucose test. I made it my whole personality. I made a thousand TikToks about it. People being like, Are you really making this your personality? Well, I was made to think it was a big deal. It isn't. Yeah.

Now I hear it's optional. What? Some people People are like, I'm not doing that.

I'm not drinking that. Oh, you're friends without electricity, like your granola friends?

No, by the way, I don't have a friend who's not taken the test. It's more so things I've seen on the internet. People being like, By the way, do you know you don't have to do that? No, I didn't know that.

Well, I did hear, actually, we got some really interesting feedback from yesterday's episode about some of our crunchier girls who didn't want to do the drink, and there are other options. That's what we said. You can, but no, not like...

No, a Snickers. Even though I feel like a Snickers is just as unhealthy as that drink.

Yeah. I wonder what Dr. Fox would say if you said, I don't want to do the test.

And I was like, No. Why would you say that? And I'm like, Oh, it's Valentine's Day. That's why. That's why you would say that.

I knew consciously, it was subconsciously it was Valentine's Day, but I didn't wake up and think, it's coronation day until I got this really, really beautiful text from my husband who left the house at 6: 00 AM to go golf.

Zack and I have yet to acknowledge that it's Valentine's Day. I feel like he forgot. I feel like because I've so lowered the bar over the years on gifts, those things don't matter to me as much anymore. I feel like he thinks I don't need flowers. I don't know if he got me flowers. He needed to have gotten me flowers.

I don't want to rub it in, but I got this text from my husband that is going to put all these other bitches to shame, ready?

It doesn't matter to me so much, but now I'm curious, does he remember? Will I be getting flowers? I'll know if they were ones that were ordered.

But there's something about ordering something a few days before. From a forest. A little preparation. I don't think I'm getting a gift because usually we would discuss such a thing, but a flower would be nice.

Yeah, I did get flowers. They're in my hotel room, not to be- Cargy or scale 1-10? Actually, they were arriving as I left, so I didn't actually see them. Oh, okay.

Then the other thing I wanted to say, just a quick correction from yesterday's episode. I went on this whole long diatribe. Maybe you heard it, maybe you didn't because my audio fucking sucked yesterday. I'm really sorry about that. About how I wanted to make a more conscious effort to expand our boomer demographic. I quickly realized that, thanks to some of the comments, I actually was wrong. I don't want boomers. We want Gen X. Okay. I got confused between my generations. I'm not even 100% sure what Gen X is, but Gen X are the people that own homes. Gen X is above us.

Gen X is above Y. We are Y.

Right. Then above X is boom. Boom. The boom I actually don't think- Gen W? They would understand us at all.

I think they would like that, though.

100% makes them feel young.

It would be like those crazy kids.

What is the story it's like by me today?

Like, random, just like little anecdotes, I would say. Little anecdotes to wrap up the week. Today is more so about us being together, though. I would say that's the theme of the day. Love.

After the Pargy News Studio, I am spending the day with my family, which I'm so excited about. Snitch is in town, too. She's also at the wedding. So living Jacks are just bringing the kids. We're going to have lunch, we're going to swim. I'm so excited. Yeah.

I needed my outfit to have some versatility. Of course. While also respecting, like homage to being in the city. Right.

While paying respect to that. Yeah. And giving credit where credit is due.

Yeah. Oh, also, I drove on the highway yesterday. It's beautiful. I don't know if you heard everyone was talking about it.

I actually didn't hear. I read about it in page 6.

Yeah, everyone was talking about it. I just have to say, I don't know how people text and drive. I can barely breathe and drive. I can barely scratch my leg and drive. When I got on the highway, I was like, whatever the music I'm not going to be able to change it for 30 minutes. Whatever the air conditioning level is at, I'm not going to be able to change it. I saw someone texting and driving on the highway. I'm like, What are you doing?

That's so funny. I feel that way about picking your nose and driving.

Because I'm always seeing people- I couldn't have taken a To stand off the wheel. Well, of course.

Then you're losing 50% of your mobility. But also nose picking, when you're an avid nose picker, requires deep thought and concentration. Then also supplies because once you get the buger, you need a tissue to rub it in. Whenever I see people picking their nose, I'm like, Stay away from that driver because they are reckless. Or eating.

I don't know how people do anything- People put on their makeup. And drive on the highway. Also, my leg was going to cramp. You can't move your foot an inch. You couldn't reposition on the pedal. Oh my God, it's stressful out here. I don't know how you guys do it.

Does it get easier? Yes. Which park gets more comfortable?

Just the concept of driving really fast with a lot of other cars and never stopping. You just get used to it, and then you can unclench a little bit. I'm sure you were so close to your shoulders up by your ears.

Claudia, my hands were I'm stuck.

But white knuckling.

My leg was seriously going to cramp. I wouldn't have moved it one inch.

So I think that conceptually, it gets less of a big deal, and then you can just relax.

Relax and be myself. Right. I had to give myself a lot of pep talks. Of course, my number one thing is like, Margot I was sure he drove on the highway after three months of getting her license. I can do this.

Or what about that girl who took herself to target, that five-year-old girl who stole her parents car?

I didn't even think of her.

Constantly must be thinking of her. My role model, that was one.

Then I'm like, You know what, Jackie, you are an intelligent, capable person. You You can do this.

I have sense. I've got my eyes open. I'm very comfortable in my vehicle. I can do this, and I did it.

The bride for this wedding is Moroccan, and Before the wedding, there's a big celebration where it's called a henna, but a henna is also a type of tattoo. I'm not 100% clear. Because you went to a religious affair and you were also feeling connected to the Lord.

When Kylie said, quote, always dating your spouse helps, he agreed saying, it reminds you to spend time and take the time to do things with that person, and that can get lost very easily, especially with kids. They said they're in that phase of their life. Obviously, their main focus right now is the kids, but getting that rare moment to enjoy time together is even more special in this time. So go out on a date. Honestly, I know I'm going to roll my eyes, but that's good advice, and I don't do it.

Yeah, no. I do hate, though, that... They didn't coin this phrase. People say it all the time. You should always be dating your husband.

It's like, Well, I'm tired.

What about then? Logistically speaking, when we finally get the kids down, I'm bone tired, and now I'm going to go out to dinner. I guess you could go out to dinner before they go down and get a couple hours back. I don't know. It's just It's exhausting.

No, and this is a lot of internet talk. People are always keeping the romance alive while you have young kids. A lot of this is a little impractical for regular folk.

Just because by the end of the day, my idea of a good time is relaxing. We could relax together, sure, but we're not going to go dating.

I think Dan and Shay said it best when they said, We should be alone together. That's the vibe more.

I agree, but this is good advice. Zack and I are going to go on a date this week because this It's game tunes. It's game tunes day. It's our anniversary. Then it's always nice to celebrate a kid's birthday because it is a milestone for the two of us. This week, historically, we've always done something.

Let alone nine. Okay, so this is my truth. This is my struggle, and you're not going to silence me. And them doubting long COVID, how disgusting and despiccable who would do such a thing?

Who would do such a thing? I'm so glad you have a community of other really mentally well long COVID sufferers. Yeah. If you've ever ended up the side of TikTok or any social media platform of long COVID sufferers-That's where you want to be. Who have had long COVID for three years. At some point, it does transition into a mental illness. They are afraid. They live in tents in their garage, and they don't go to Thanksgiving. It is actually one of the craziest places to be on the internet. You actually feel bad even laughing because it's really not funny. These people are actually sick in the head.

I made one last night We had like, meatballs, of course, pasta, fresh basil from Olivia's garden. So it was a party meal. I had a party meal, too. But I don't feel done.

Because I was at this event, this Hanna, and there was a lot of meats being passed around. Wait, did you go to the henna? I did. I'm extremely cultured. People don't realize that about me.

I feel like that's something that's slipping through the cracks here is like, you're- I know a lot.

I feel like it means she regrets taking Blake's side. I don't know if that was her truth at the time, but I think it doesn't matter. It's not worth the backlash. Also, once she stepped in it and got herself involved, she's a major player here. This is her story. It's her mother's. Well, it's inspired by her mother's story, but it's her book. When she took aside, it was a big deal, but she received a lot of backlash in the form of rumors and gossip about an incident with her son. I think that's why she had initially deactivated it. She took Blake's side, and then this had been a story that would have been whispered about on the internet. I had seen it on TikTok, but apparently there was an incident with her son. He was accused of sexual harassment or sexual assault. Coleen and her family, obviously, protected the son, and I think maybe it's something weird. And so it's been this, and she put her and her family right at the center of this media war and took Blake side. I think she didn't like the feedback she received. She deactivated her social media.

Now she's back. She can't really not be on social media. She's an active part of not only this film, but all of her books are currently being made into different movies with different partners and different celebrities. And so she's She goes to Bookathon.

She's a public- She has books to sell, too. She has books to write. Right.

But it's not even about that anymore. She's a public persona.

Yeah, but she has a lot of jobs, a lot of torches in the fire. I feel a little sorry for her in thinking When I think about what I think must have happened here. I could see her getting duped by either one of these people. These are big Hollywood stars. Like, Coleen Hoover before. She's had a lot of writing success, but take out the money and stuff. She's just from a small town. This is her first foray into Hollywood, and she just gets completely ripped to shreds. I don't think she really knows how to handle anything that's happened. Everyone else is just very methodical.

Using other people as ponds.

She's just a regular lady. Even if she took the wrong side, we don't know what happened. Blake Lively, it seems like the biggest deal in the world. It's easy to get caught up. Also, part of what people say in the way she manipulates people is with her charm and her smile and women empowerment. I could see just, Coleen wasn't ready for any of this. I feel bad for her because no matter how it went down, I just feel like she was not one of these types of people.

No, but also when she did get involved, it was a part of this big wave of momentum. Everybody was team Blake, and then Paul Fogg, and Jenny Slate. It was like, it's easy to speak out on someone's behalf when everyone's doing it. I don't think they foresaw it turning so quickly to team Justin and an anti-Blake-Coleen rhetoric. I think she thought it was going to be the end of it, but it starts.

Yeah, but even if she had taken Justin's side over the summer when things were going well for Justin, then people who were team Blake might have excavated this story about her son. I feel like no matter what, she's caught in the middle of this really big bad thing that happened that has seriously disturbed the entire industry. No matter what she did, she's at the center of it because it's her movie and everyone's looking to her to be like, Well, what happened on set? Who do you think is right or wrong?

She's just a regular layperson.

She doesn't fucking know. She's not in those backroom meetings. She doesn't have real power.

No, she's very much a front-facing part of this. People, they use her for media and press, and it's exciting. She's a woman's story. But she doesn't have real input.

Nor does she have the experience or the prowess to see what's going on. I just feel bad for her because she's in the center no matter how you slice it.

To get your book made, she really is. Before all this, I remember they did a New York Times profile on her, and it was like, That particular, she sold 2 million books. She's such an amazing success, and she's revitalized a stereotypically... People never gave romance novels much. They were never in the front of the bookstore. It was never sexy. It was just these things women read in their spare time. She revitalized an entire different genre. She really is a trailblazer, and now she's just been like... It's like a pawn. She has so many exciting projects coming up. Almost all of her books get She's a major success, and she is an inspiration, but now we just think of her as like, Blake, Claire, Maldoni.

But I do think there's a lesson here for her. I feel like she really was involved in this and posting on Instagram about getting this off the ground. I do feel like she needs to establish a production company and take herself out of it a little bit and not be so arm and arm with the cast because there's all this stuff that can go down. It was fun. She needs a little distance. I think that that's just a good thing to do anyway. Yeah. Because she was very much in the weeds.

Yeah, which was great for PR and great for... Because the book was really created on social media, the hype. You can't leave people in the dust. You have to bring them on that journey with you. But that's really not stereotypically in the past, how books get made. You buy a book and the author has no part of any of it. That's hard for them, but that's what you get when you sell your book.

It's hard for them, but I think the distance would protect them a little bit. I think she needs that. I agree. With all her books being turned into movies, it's a good lesson to learn.

I spent a lot of my time watching his documentary He did. When I saw that, they're telling this comeback story about how he's going to be with the Jets and win the Super Bowl. By the time I watch the documentary, they're already at... They're not even in the play-off. I was like, Oh, damn, it's not their season. But I'm still rooting for that moment. Now he's been cut from the Jets. He will not return as quarterback.

I have to assume he's going to retire, right? You think? It's such a bad way to go out.

I don't think he's going to retire. He works so hard healing himself. I think he wants another season.

Where does he go? You know where he should go?

The 49ers? Yeah.

They need, even though he didn't do a good job. But I don't know if it's more so that Aaron Rodgers isn't good anymore, or it's just the curse of the Jets. They could have Tom braided and everyone, and they just still wouldn't be able to do well. It's something in the air in that arena.

I think he has got his work cut out for him, but I think it's also the Jets. I think he's still a great quarterback. He works so hard. He trains so hard. He literally broke records in how quickly he healed his heel. He's Which is like a mentally crazy person. He's not going out like this. He wanted to play that same season that he got injured.

Yeah. You have to really orchestrate when you're a great quarterback or any player, but specifically, quarterback, you have to orchestrate a really a pargy way of going out. Even Jason Kelsi, that's the most recent retirement. While he didn't win, it was still an honorable way to go. The Kelsi Bowl, he went out on top. Tom braided did go out well the first time, and then he just embarrassed himself.

The way I remember it, he's from the Bay Area. When he was drafted Drafted, they needed a quarterback, and he was hoping that that's where he was going. He had a really bad draft experience. It was a draft day situation where nobody really wanted him. He wound up being drafted to the packers, but they already had Brett Farve, who refused to retire. So he had to ride the bench for a number of years until it was his time. The 49ers have always been the one that got away. Well, I think it's actually late. Maybe Brock could train under him. I think Brock needs a little bit of that Aaron Rodgers toughness.

Who's Aaron dating right now? Because all the wives heFriends. The best part of the 49ers is Olivia Culpo, Kristen, Claire Kittle, the girlies. I just want to know who Aaron would be bringing to the crew.

No one at the moment, but I do think the 49ers are where you go to find love. To settle I just feel like the 49ers have good romantic energy. A lot of them seem like very happily settled down.

And stable partners. I love that.

Because you could be with a girl from LA. Right, Olivia Colpo. It opens up the pool. Olivia Colpo. You're not saying we have to move to Boise. Yeah.

Well, that's actually a great transition because we have Queenie and Weanie, and there are a little bit of I have some sports selects.

So Queenie and Weanie of the Week is a segment we do every Friday. Just wrap up the week, take a look at the week at a glance, and give out two awards to Queenie of the Week and Weanie of the Week. Somebody who acted like a queenie this week and somebody who acted like a weanie this week. It's a seven-day title. It's not that serious. You could be queeny one week, weenie the next. It hasn't happened, but it could.

Yeah, just don't take it. It's not so serious. Yeah. You're going to do queeny or weenie first?

We will do queeny first. Okay. Oh, I was like, What was my queeny? My queeny is a Friday Friday edition, this party's your new studio.

Yeah, no, that's definitely up there for me.

This studio and this experience is totally my queeny. They had a great way to end the week. It's been a dream. It's giving such Monday energy on a Friday. We're bringing out the big guns, and it's just been so gargy to look at and have a fresh new environment. It's brought out some freshness in us. The studio is my queeny.

My Queeny. My Queeny is Saquon Barkley. It's similar but different. I just feel like I wasn't really familiar with Saquon, and this week was a big week for Saquon, obviously winning the Super Bowl, but more so the media appearances. He's getting praised online for defending Taylor Swift. Everything I see about this man, and he's just a cute fiance, and they have a baby. Everything I see, I like. I also just learn about his story from the Giants. I'm just learning.

Yeah. I just want to keep the Philadelphia Eagles fans who listen to this show, I want to keep them happy because-They're a scary bunch. They're a scary bunch, and they'll come to your town. I'm good.

My Weanie of the Week is, unfortunately, the Kansas City Chiefs. Oh, wow. They played in such a weanie-like manner.

They were so weaning.

They barely gave us a Super Bowl. We might as well have... We didn't even have a game, even though towards the end, Patrick threw the greatest breakdown of all time. It's so irrelevant. Which is so crazy. The longest past- The longest yard. The longest In our faces. Very much weaning behavior. We were all rooting for you. We all got dressed and cooked. In our faces. People traveled and they got hotels. Sitters. Everyone was just showing up for a game and you guys couldn't hack it. And then you didn't even show up. Very much weaning behavior. They are an instance of, I'm sure in the future, they'll be the queenies. But the week isn't over and you're still nursing that out.

My weaning of the week, and I'm sorry to do this because she has been through a lot, but weaning behavior needs to be called out. It's Mandy Moore. The more I think about that story we talked about yesterday where she was blowing up Amazon for delivering that package to her parents' in-law's burnt down house. Something we didn't even talk about when we were discussing it is it can't be overstated that her parents ordered that shit to that specific location. We're mad at Amazon for doing their jobs. Maybe the driver was like, Oh, the person who's house burned down doesn't have anywhere else to live, so they need a delivery point. Yeah, of course. I don't know. The more I thought about it, I feel like you have to be really careful when you're a celebrity going online to complain about social media. Not only did she misread the room here, she's also wrong in the situation. I'm sorry, she is.

I feel like the discourse that I've seen about it, people are thinking that they're not disagreeing with Mandy about the craziness. She's America's Sweetheart.

That's the thing. She's always like... And up until recently, she's been one of the most vocal celebrities and one of the celebrities who lost the most. People are just championing her right now, and I'm down. Then the more I think Can't you think about the situation critically, I'm like, Wait, I love you, and I'm sorry everything that's happened to you, but you are wrong.

No, you are wrong. When I think about that picture, I'm like, Damn, Amazon. You can get it anywhere, anytime. Imagine if they didn't deliver, and it was the person's only receiving address We didn't get stuff, and they're like, We're being discriminated against because- Because our house is burned down. Right, but we still have land. I think it's preposterous. I understand seeing that image driving up and there's a box in front of the rebel, and it would be more like a ha-hah moment. Not even a ha-hah.

It's like a cultural statement. I could see that winning photo of the year.

Rather than a shame on you for doing the job that I asked you to do.

Yeah. It's poetic, but it's not unjust.

I agree. She's gotten a little carried away. With the praise. Yeah. Right? Yeah.

Okay. I'm so glad because I actually kept thinking about it. I saw people's takes, and I'm like, Wait, I disagree with all of you.

Every time I see the picture, more and more, I'm just so impressed of that box standing there, like a Phoenix from the Ashes.
