Ben Meiselas00:00:00

This is a breaking news alert: Donald Trump's Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, has officially resigned, and Donald Trump just announced that he is replacing Susie Wiles with Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller will become the new Chief of Staff. Immediately upon Donald Trump announcing that Stephen Miller will become the new Chief of Staff, Democratic Congressmember Robert Garcia, who will chair the House Oversight Committee, said, "Miller, you better lawyer up immediately. We are coming after you."

Let me show you what just went down. CNN was reporting the following regarding Susie Wiles. Susie Wiles submitted her resignation last night. Trump was angry with her this week following the GOP wipeout Tuesday night. But Donald Trump said that there will be no case, ever, zero chance, that Susie Wiles will be fired or that she will resign. Well, she just resigned, although Donald Trump's trying to act like he fired her. Here's what Donald Trump posted: "I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump administration and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026.

Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump political operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff. She has done a great job." Donald J. Trump. Now, polls show that Stephen Miller is the least-like member of the most despised regime in American history. Yes, polls show that Miller is clearly, by far, the most hated not just person in the Trump regime, which has the lowest approval in presidential history, but he's one of the most loathsome figures ever in American history.

He may have the lowest popularity of any human being ever in the history of the world who was polled in the United States of America. Look right over here at the favorable and unfavorable rating polling averages. You have people like Besant Rand Paul, Pete Hegseth, and Kristi Noem, who actually poll significantly better than Stephen Miller. Now, it should also be known that Anthony Scaramucci, who used to be part of the Trump administration, the first Trump administration, he said the following, and I agree with him: "Message from the American people received by Trump."

His response: "Let's go with little Himmler," is what he's saying. Now, moments ago, Donald Trump was outside of the Oval Office. He was leaving the White House. He's going to Mar-a-Lago, where he'll go to his safe space with his Mar-a-Lago cult. He said, "Stephen Miller will be the new Chief of Staff." Here's what he said. Let's play it.

Speaker 200:02:37

Yep.

Speaker 300:02:38

Why did they Susie Wiles's departure.

Speaker 200:02:41

Yeah.

Speaker 300:02:42

Stephen Miller will be the new Chief of Staff, and Susie's going to go over to the political operation.

Ben Meiselas00:02:48

So a reporter asked him, "Well, you previously said there was zero chance Susie Wiles would be leaving. What changed?" Trump ignores that question. Then he turns to another reporter, and watch this. Let's play it.

Speaker 300:02:59

You said about a month ago that there was zero chance Susie Wiles was going to be replaced. So what changed, sir?

Speaker 200:03:06

What do you have?

Speaker 300:03:06

I just want to know why you decided to make that decision.

Speaker 200:03:09

Because I wanted to make a change.

Ben Meiselas00:03:11

Donald Trump then says, "And things are going to be great with Stephen Miller in charge because the economy's already doing great, and Miller will make it better," he says. Here, play this clip.

Speaker 200:03:20

Most incredible job numbers. They came out many times higher than anticipated. The economy is doing well, except for yesterday because of the vote.

Ben Meiselas00:03:32

Next, a reporter asks him, "Well, what's your message to Iran right now?" And Trump says, "We're doing very well because the last time a soldier was killed was 7 months or 6 months ago," which is just entirely false. But this is what he says. Here, play this clip.

Speaker 300:03:47

What is your message to Iran?

Speaker 200:03:52

What is your message for Iran? We're beating Iran. We are doing very well with Iran. We're talking to Iran. We have been. We haven't lost a soldier in 7 months or 6 months. We have the Palmo Strait opening, doing more business than they've ever done with oil. And we're doing very well. And we are talking to Iran.

Ben Meiselas00:04:14

Meanwhile, Donald Trump was then asked by a member of the press, "How does it feel to lose? How does it feel to be a loser?" And then Trump just walked away. Here, play this clip.

Speaker 200:04:24

How does it feel to be a loser?

Ben Meiselas00:04:32

Now I want you to remember Stephen Miller in high school. He went to Santa Monica High School in California. This was the video of him saying, "I'm sick and tired of being told to pick up my trash. That's the job of janitors. Do your job." This is the kind of sicko that he is. Play this clip.

Speaker 200:04:49

Am I the only one who is sick and tired of being told to pick up my trash? And we have plenty of janitors who are paid to do it.

Ben Meiselas00:04:59

And then here he is as well, on a field trip in high school, where he said that torture is great. Torture is a celebration of human dignity. Play this clip.

Speaker 200:05:07

To the issue of the Iraqi civilians. I think that as many of them should survive as possible because the goal of any military conflict is to kill as few people as possible. But as for Saddam Hussein and his henchmen, I think the ideal solution would be to cut off their fingers. I don't think it's necessary to kill them entirely. We're not a barbaric people. We respect life. Therefore, torture is the way to go because torture people can live. Torture is a celebration of life and human dignity.

We need to remember that as we enter these very dark and dangerous times in the next century. And I only hope that many of my peers and people who will be leaving this country will appreciate the value and respect that torture shows towards other cultures.

Okay, I've got to tell you about one of my favorite upgrades. It's something we all have to do: laundry. Laundry sauce. I friggin' love this stuff. The first thing you notice is the smell. There's scents like Italian bergamot and Himalayan cashmere are incredible. You pull your clothes out of the dryer and they smell like you just walked out of a luxury hotel. And these aren't just fancy-smelling detergents. Laundry sauce uses ultra-concentrated pods with bioenzymes that fight tough stains and leave your clothes feeling refreshed. They've even got scent boosters, dryer sheets, and fabric softener to upgrade your whole routine.

And now, here's the deal. For a limited time only, our listeners get 20% off your entire order when you use code MITUS20 at laundry sauce dot com. Moments ago, David Rhoad was on an MS Now panel with the Midas Touch network's Scott McFarlane.

Ben Meiselas00:07:04

McFarlane is the Washington, DC correspondent here at the Midas Touch network. Here's what David Rhoad said. Let's play it.

David Rhoad00:07:11

It's another hardline sign. And it's a sign that, bluntly, the president is not listening to voters. 60% of Americans roughly disapprove of the immigration policies of the administration. And then in terms of national security, you'll have we saw a vast expansion of presidential power, an unprecedented expansion of presidential power. And so this is a sign that that will continue because, as Kevin said, this is what Stephen Miller believes in. And just on Hegseth, I have one small piece of news. The incoming new chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Representative Adam Smith of Washington, he's been hearing that Hegseth is likely out.

But the trouble is, and this is a direct quote, is that Trump has such a limited attention span, so he literally might just get distracted and not do it. There is an arch to build after all. So we have a sort of defiant president who's ignoring the will of voters, particularly Latinos, a key group that shifted away from him because of Stephen Miller's immigration tactics. So I'm concerned like everybody else here.

Ben Meiselas00:08:12

Here's what Scott McFarlane, Midas Touch DC bureau chief, had to say. Play this clip.

Speaker 500:08:17

A lot of tension. How much of this is a response to the elections on Tuesday?

Speaker 600:08:22

Seems a pretty clear response. The Democrats in Congress literally have said, "Lawyer up," to the administration. And this seems to be a symmetrical political response, that they're going to be defiant of Congress. Not a surprise. Also, perhaps not a surprise that the biggest removal post-election is another woman from the Cabinet. It's been a pattern of Trump 2.0. The people who tend to get fired or moved out are the women in powerful positions. This is another example of it. I'll add this, though. Congress is already getting ready to do battle with the administration.

One of the things they've been talking about over the last 24 hours, Katie, is writing into law a way to defund ICE. The mass agents running through American cities find a way to prescribe a limitation on that. This move is only going to add urgency or add this to the top of the priorities.

Speaker 500:09:10

You say this is a version of the White House going to war with the midterms, essentially.

Ben Meiselas00:09:15

Now, there are many clips of Stephen Miller talking about how he wants to torture immigrants and saying the most horrific, Nazi-like things, in my opinion. But here he is saying that he believes that Donald Trump and Melania are the greatest style icons ever. Let's play this clip.

David Rhoad00:09:31

He also just said, "Since we're addressing the subject of style, the most stylish president and first lady in our lifetimes are Donald Trump and Melania Trump." Donald Trump's a style icon. He changed American fashion in The Apprentice. People spent the next 10 years trying to dress like Donald Trump. So if anybody deserves a puff piece on their sense of style, it's Donald Trump and the first lady.

Ben Meiselas00:09:55

It should be noted that Donald Trump's new Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller, called Renee Good and Alex Pretti terrorists after ICE shot and killed them for peacefully protesting. He never took that back. Also, contractors who turned a warehouse into an illegal ICE detention facility said Stephen Miller did not want the facilities to be comfortable. He did not want facilities that were humane. We were told point blank that that was not what the administration wanted. He wanted it to be cruel and unusual, and he wanted to torture the immigrants. That's coming from the contractors who built these concentration camps at Stephen Miller's request.

Now, let's talk about the statement from Democratic Congress member Robert Garcia, who will be chairing the House Oversight Committee. Today, Robert Garcia, ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, released the following statement after Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller had been promoted to the Chief of Staff. "Just days after the American people rejected his corrupt and lawless presidency, Donald Trump is doubling down. Stephen Miller is the architect of the unconstitutional ICE raids that have terrorized our communities and kidnapped and killed American citizens and immigrant families.

Oversight Democrats will continue to investigate Miller for his misconduct, and we will fight against his hateful policies in Congress and the courts. Stephen Miller should lawyer up," said ranking member Robert Garcia. So you have that taking place. I'll also share this with you. Trump's Chief of Staff Stephen Miller previously said, "America should never support asylum ever unless it's white Afrikaners from South Africa. Otherwise, only white South African Afrikaners where the Trump regime lies and says that there's a genocide with them.

Otherwise, no one else can come in," is what Miller said. Play this clip.

Speaker 200:11:41

I think the most important point is that this administration, on the asylum point, has been implementing international agreements all over the world to take in our asylum seekers. So America's doors are closed fully to asylum seekers. We've set up agreements where if you want asylum, then we will find a country elsewhere in the world to take you. It's very simple, a very elegant, very complete solution.

Ben Meiselas00:12:03

And then Stephen Miller has also said that we need to end birthright citizenship. He is a racist piece of shit. Here, play this clip.

Speaker 200:12:10

What I said was that this country doesn't have a future if we don't end birthright citizenship. Obviously, the right and correct way to end birthright citizenship is for the Supreme Court to rule what the 14th Amendment clearly and correctly means. But one way or another, this nation has to end birthright citizenship.
