Well, that's the damn truth. This week is crazy because this hurricane is historic. I've been tracking it.

Okay, twisters.

As have most Floridians, because Florida has not seen a hurricane like this since the 1920s, over 100 years ago. It's Category 5, set to hit Tampa Bay. The mayor of Tampa Bay, the mayor of Tampa Bay. Did you see her interview where she was like, If you stay, you will die.

Yeah.

I- This hurricane is not survivable.

I have thought I'm about you a lot. Thank you. Because I know you live not in the region, but it's the same state. Are you worried at all?

I am a little worried. Storms can change. They can change paths. And even if it's not at the storm center, you still get a lot of weather. So it's going to be a crazy couple of days down here in the sunshine state. So if you are in an area that is called to be evacuated, I hope that you've evacuated. Traffic is crazy getting out of town.

But you still have time. It's supposed to hit tomorrow night, right?

Tomorrow afternoon, they're saying.

If you are in a zone that has been evacuated, I have one thing to say, Get out right now. But actually.

Yeah. I mean, people are trying, but it's hard. You have to assume your home might not be there when you get back.

It's very difficult. A lot of people are still already suffering from Hurricane Helene. I saw that some of these places hadn't even fully recovered from Hurricane Ian. There's just a lot to consider. And so I'm wishing everyone the best.

He said it He was like an older gentleman, clearly an experienced meteorologist. And we just overcome. He knows the magnitude, and he's seen things, and he knows this is going to be devastating.

I feel like sometimes there's not a lot of hoopla for a hurricane, and then it ends up being It's completely devastating. Then sometimes there's a lot of hoopla, and it's not that bad. Hopefully, that's what's going to happen.

Hopefully. But we need a miracle. The miracles happen.

Now, the The question that everybody wants to know is, Luke Holmes' number one song, or maybe one of his top five songs, is called Hurricane. When you're doing a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Kaleen, are you singing that song? It's not disrespectful, but it's a little weird.

It's a little on the nose, but I think if you give it a nice prelude of, This one's called Hurricane. This goes out to all the ones. I think it could be a tribute.

There's a right way to do it. I don't think anybody, though, would ever assume in any scenario, but this one in particular, that Luke Holmes has anything other than good intentions. But I do want... That's definitely a conversation amongst his team to play Hurricane or to not.

Since it's a benefit concert, and he clearly shows that he cares and he's helping, he's going above and beyond. And he put it together. Nobody can accuse him of shit. But if there was a pop star with a song, Hurricane, and today, she was doing a performance in a racy little something, sitting about a hurricane, that would come off as tone deaf.

It would have to be toned down, an acoustic, stripped down version.

Yeah. I think when you're doing the benefit concert, you can sing the song. But if you're singing about a hurricane, glowingly, right after a devastating hurricane and another one coming through, maybe that's a skip for the day.

That's one of my favorite performances. I think we all have those. We all have a list of YouTube videos that we get drunk and make everyone in the room watch. One of mine, it's dark, but it's Beyoncé singing at Kobe Bryant's funeral. Apparently, his favorite Beyoncé song was XO, but the line in the chorus is crashing into you, and he had literally just died of a hurricane. Of a helicopter crash, and she actually changed the word, just not wanting to trigger a nation.

Yeah, that was at the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Sam Ryder, he has that song, They're going to throw a party on the day that I die.

The good thing about the situation I found myself in is I am looking for a bunker, a unit with no windows, which are the least desirable units. Who the fuck If you actually work in an office environment, who the fuck would look for something without windows? And I found a unit with one unit in the bathroom. One window. I found a unit with one window in the bathroom. So literally, it's a bunker. Nobody wanted it. It's half the price of this place. It's been sitting on the market forever. I just put an offer in yesterday. If we get it, which I'm fairly certain we will, let me say it's such a fabulous building. My walk just got cut in half. Thank God. This walk is a little too long for me. We would have two unique studio set up so that when Ben comes-Unique New York? Yes. I would have my Ogie, and we're going to renovate a little bit when I move. Our remote setup is just going to be a little different.

Facelift. I'll have a nice space for that, and then I'll have a totally separate area for two seats. So when Ben and Josh want to do it, when you come to town. I'm getting a little ahead of myself because I haven't accepted my offer, and I did low ball. I was being really- Yeah, but is it this...

I am caught up now on Love is Blind. It's really not doing anything for me. I'm on my phone way too much. So we'll see. If I miss it and I'm curious about it, I'll go back to it, but I'm happy to be caught up. I will be curious who actually gets married, but it's just not my favorite bunch of peeps. What can I say? When Monica told him to stop talking, I wasn't paying attention. And then she started saying, It's too much. I'm like, Zack, go back. What did I miss? And that's exactly what I meant. He talks so much. He says nothing. He thinks he's so Smart and progressive and profound and empowering, and it's like, Shut up.

Okay, but I feel two ways about that because what's worse than somebody not shutting up and saying the worst shit? Shut up. I loved that she took her power back. But also, what's meaner than someone being excited and chatting about something and then somebody just being like, Can you shut up? I'm a really chatty person, and I get excited about things, and I feel like- Claudia, it's so different. I know.

You don't take up space when you speak. You're being funny and entertaining. Some people could even be smart and interesting and educational. You're lucky to hear what I'm saying. It's so true. He's saying nothing. He's taking up all of the space. The room, yeah. And then even when she... Well, the problem is, is now that she's heard it and now that she's seen it, how do you unsee it? How can you live with that forever? It's an ick. If it bothered you once, it's going to bother you forever. But when she told him to stop talking and he was smiling so big, about to start crying tears of joy that she told... It was deranged.

No, he is serious. And What's so funny is a lot of our listeners, their feedback from what we said yesterday is like, No, you guys don't understand. I live in DC, and this is what it's like today. The men in DC are horrible. I'm so sorry. I know. But you know what I find so interesting about Monica, and I wanted to bring this up yesterday. I feel like when she was doing her reveal, she said something so honest, and I feel relatable. She's like, I'm 36, and I look at my life, and all I've cared about for so long is career goals, having a million friends, traveling. Now I look around, I don't care about any of that stuff, and I'm just lonely. I think a lot of people feel that way, but you're ashamed to admit. I think that we always, especially for women, you don't need a man, you don't man. But it's okay to need a man. I am independent, and I desperately need my husband in the most, not even in the scariest sense. That's okay. I actually thought that was such a really honest thing to say, and it made me like her in that moment so much.

Even her loneliness can't mask her hatred of him.

No. For that reason, I want her to find someone and she'll make it work. She seems someone who would be committed to making it work. But all of those things that are bothering her about him right now, just the talking incessantly, he was doing in the pods and you chose him.

I was honestly glad for him that she was making fun of him for wanting to do this thing, and he still went and did it. She's not going to ruin his good time. This older woman, she was the perfect person to come over and do because it's not a threat. It's not a threat. She was probably with her partner. They were just genuinely having fun. And then the way that Hannah recap it to someone else saying the older woman called her a jealous bitch. No, she didn't. She just said, Silly, don't be jealous. And the fact that Hannah made it into a thing, he was talking to another woman, it was so not that whatsoever. And then, and she was like, If someone was talking about you like that, I wouldn't just be giggling. Meanwhile, she's on the couch, Fabisna, talking shit about him to the producers.

And all of her friends are making comments about his looks. Has she said anything?

No, she is the worst.

And he, even if I did understand what she was saying in the pod. It's too suave saying the right thing. It was giving Sam from UK. He's a lovely person, a happy person, and she's not a happy person, and she's bringing him down.

I hate the concept of the ick. When it first came out, I was I get into it. It's funny. I know what you mean. You see someone waiting in line, you're like, Oh. But I think it's really given people an excuse to dislike people and write them off completely for the most natural innocuous things. No one's going to be suave all the time.

People now conflate ick with red flag. A red flag means you should walk away from someone like, Stop, don't pass go. And ick is not that. It's just a moment of butt clenching, and then you unclench and you carry on. It's true.

Yeah. She wore Vivienne Westwood, which she wears all the time, but she wore plaid again. And so now everyone's setting the stage for next... It's like the third time in a row she's wore plaid.

But let's talk about the sparkles freckles. Now, I think the universe is really divided on it. I actually understand because I've seen a bunch of pictures of the freckles, and In some of the really high-res close-up photos, it just looks like splotches on her face. But in some of the really bright iridescent photos, it looks so fucking cute. She's just kissed by the sun. She's lit from within. I think it's really about the photos. I wonder how they looked in person. So, yeah, some of the photos, it looks a little weird, but some of the photos, it looks sick.

Yeah, I think it's adorable, and I think it's really fun. It's giving Coachella at Arrowhead. It's just a way to have fun with your makeup, though that's not something she ever does. She barely changes her lipstick color. So it's really shocking that she could be moved to do something like this. Do you think it's another symbol, freckles plus kilt? Is she becoming an Irish redhead?

Is that what's next? I I don't think that the sparkly freckles are any. I think she just wanted to have fun. And it came up on my TikTok, the founder of... It's a very small woman-owned brand. I feel like when it's something you want to do for fun, you do it with a friend. I could have seen her and Brittany doing it together. I feel like it's a symbol. You told me some of this. And while it all is pointing to divorce, there's really no other direction that it looks like. I hold space for Jessica Simpson, living a chaotic existence, and that things that she does might not make sense to the layperson.

Well, speaking of things that might not make sense to the layperson, I literally was tagged in a TikTok this morning. Somebody put together... Jessica Sipson has refollowed John Maher on Instagram and had started liking his photos around the time that her marital home was put up for sale, the end of 2023. Somebody did a full-blown investigation. Too obvious.

I feel like it's constantly voiced upon us, and we're getting just used to more and more sex scenes, longer, more graphic, more skin, more bits. And it's them pushing it on us when it's like, you would think they'd be the ones to be like, You know what? Let's just leave it to your imagination.

There is a lot of unnecessary sex sex and nudity, I feel. Seriously, the nudity in Oppenheimer was so unrelated to the storyline. Yeah, I guess Oppenheimer had a check on the side. Okay.

You could show them in bed. There's just a reason to see It's a movie about a bomb and a war. It's unique. Unique energy, unique New York.

Talking about the snub, which we have discussed. He shared his thoughts on why she might have been snubbed. And this is what he said then. So his original comment to Andy encouraged, Everybody coming in and making country albums. He concluded his thoughts by saying that he doesn't think necessarily an artist will or should get nominated solely for making a country album. He said, Sometimes a lot of great music is overlooked just because she made one, a country album, just because I make one, I don't get any nominations. I think the CMA, they have their voting body, and they vote what they think should make it. Everybody loved that Beyoncé made a country album. Nobody's mad about that. More so that she didn't get into the country, the world of country.

He said, Come play with us. Do the rounds, go to country radio, do interviews, be a part of the CMA family. It's not just enough, in his opinion, to release an album that's technically of the country genre.

Perhaps that's his opinion, but also him just trying to make sense of why she wasn't nominated.

I think that's like- I think his thought was that was the CMA's reason for not including Beyoncé.

Just because you make a country album, anyone can just decide to make a country album, doesn't mean you're going to get nominated for the country awards. You got to get in the mix a little bit.

To be honest, I actually don't agree with that. If you release a country album, it should be eligible for country awards.

But do you agree with that being probably the reason why she wasn't nominated?

No. Because Beyoncé doesn't have to do anything. She's fucking Beyoncé. What she's going to go to a random radio station and start doing interviews like everybody else. She's Beyoncé.

Yeah, not a random radio station, but there are things. The Opry, perform at the Opry. That's a nice- She's Beyoncé. I know, but that's a prestigious thing to do. She doesn't have to start at the bottom.

I want everyone to win. He said, He could not let the media create a false narrative, adding that he encouraged everyone to listen to the interview instead of reading clickbait headlines. You will hear my tone and intentions, which were not negative. I don't think his tone or intentions were negative in this. I think he was just trying to make sense of something for people.

For Beyoncé fans, there is no reason why she shouldn't have been nominated. Anyone trying to come up with a reason, it's like, Shut up. It's a losing thing. The thing is, if you know Luke Brian and you watch him on American Idol, he's really a nice guy, and I don't think he's ever had beef with another artist. He's really very Hamish in his personal life. He's very generous. I don't think he's a bad person at all. I think he was just talking, and you're allowed to talk. I do wonder what other country artists think, and he's one of the biggest ones.

And theorizing and also not trying to just assume the worst about the CMAs, because he's in the CMA universe, and he's not trying to make enemies on either side. I think he was just talking about it, which some people didn't like.

Yeah. No, he's absolutely allowed to theorize, just like all of us. And if anything, he has more insight than any of us.

When I was watching the Kansas City game last night, I was watching cable, which I don't watch a lot. There was a commercial for free forms, 31 Days of Ox. No, what was it? I think the decision would be the same for both of them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. However, I don't think if we did one, the other one probably wouldn't come on. I think that's what we were I was talking about yesterday, will Trump do call her daddy? Because Alex said that she put the call out. I don't think it would make sense for him to do the same show as Kamala. But I then think that his team would start thinking about, that is a good audience to reach, women that sect, to do a show that's similar in demographic. Then the question is, which one?
