00:00:01

Good morning, millennials.

00:00:03

Welcome back to The Toast, and happy Tuesday. Hey, Jacks, how you durn, girlfriend?

00:00:08

I'm durn good, boyfriend.We're girlfriend-boyfriend.No..

00:00:13

We're girlfriend-girlfriend. Love is love, and I love you.

00:00:17

I love you, too. I choose you on this Tuesday. How are you doing? Layered question.

00:00:25

A loaded question. In a spiritual Physical sense, I'm doing really well. Physical sense, feeling a little groggy. I would say overall, if you really, truly wanted to know, and I know you didn't, you were just being polite. I'm doing okay.

00:00:44

Well, I hope that levels will increase after or during this episode of The Toast. That's what we do here. You just can't help but let the toastiness overcome you.

00:00:55

You just can't help but let the chips fall where they may.

00:00:58

Well, that's the damn truth. This week is crazy because this hurricane is historic. I've been tracking it.

00:01:07

Okay, twisters.

00:01:08

As have most Floridians, because Florida has not seen a hurricane like this since the 1920s, over 100 years ago. It's Category 5, set to hit Tampa Bay. The mayor of Tampa Bay, the mayor of Tampa Bay. Did you see her interview where she was like, If you stay, you will die.

00:01:25

Yeah.

00:01:26

I- This hurricane is not survivable.

00:01:29

I have thought I'm about you a lot. Thank you. Because I know you live not in the region, but it's the same state. Are you worried at all?

00:01:37

I am a little worried. Storms can change. They can change paths. And even if it's not at the storm center, you still get a lot of weather. So it's going to be a crazy couple of days down here in the sunshine state. So if you are in an area that is called to be evacuated, I hope that you've evacuated. Traffic is crazy getting out of town.

00:01:58

But you still have time. It's supposed to hit tomorrow night, right?

00:02:00

Tomorrow afternoon, they're saying.

00:02:02

If you are in a zone that has been evacuated, I have one thing to say, Get out right now. But actually.

00:02:10

Yeah. I mean, people are trying, but it's hard. You have to assume your home might not be there when you get back.

00:02:15

By the way, so much easier said than done.

00:02:18

You also have to batten down the hatches.

00:02:20

Leave behind everything you know in this world.

00:02:23

It's very difficult. A lot of people are still already suffering from Hurricane Helene. I saw that some of these places hadn't even fully recovered from Hurricane Ian. There's just a lot to consider. And so I'm wishing everyone the best.

00:02:35

Yeah, me too.

00:02:38

It's just waiting, I guess.

00:02:39

Do you see the meteorologist crying?

00:02:41

I saw the meteorologist crying.

00:02:43

He said it He was like an older gentleman, clearly an experienced meteorologist. And we just overcome. He knows the magnitude, and he's seen things, and he knows this is going to be devastating.

00:02:53

That he's never seen anything like this before.

00:02:56

I feel like sometimes there's not a lot of hoopla for a hurricane, and then it ends up being It's completely devastating. Then sometimes there's a lot of hoopla, and it's not that bad. Hopefully, that's what's going to happen.

00:03:04

Hopefully. But we need a miracle. The miracles happen.

00:03:09

Miracles happen once in a while. If you're listening to this episode, maybe you live in an area that's being hit and you're hunkering down and you saved your episodes of The Toast. You're listening to this as a hurricane is hitting. We are with you. You've got this. Yeah.

00:03:24

Power of prayer.

00:03:25

You see King Luke Holmes putting together a benefit concert? Of course. Now, the The question that everybody wants to know is, Luke Holmes' number one song, or maybe one of his top five songs, is called Hurricane. When you're doing a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Kaleen, are you singing that song? It's not disrespectful, but it's a little weird.

00:03:45

It's a little on the nose, but I think if you give it a nice prelude of, This one's called Hurricane. This goes out to all the ones. I think it could be a tribute.

00:03:54

There's a right way to do it. I don't think anybody, though, would ever assume in any scenario, but this one in particular, that Luke Holmes has anything other than good intentions. But I do want... That's definitely a conversation amongst his team to play Hurricane or to not.

00:04:05

Since it's a benefit concert, and he clearly shows that he cares and he's helping, he's going above and beyond. And he put it together. Nobody can accuse him of shit. But if there was a pop star with a song, Hurricane, and today, she was doing a performance in a racy little something, sitting about a hurricane, that would come off as tone deaf.

00:04:23

It would have to be toned down, an acoustic, stripped down version.

00:04:27

Yeah. I think when you're doing the benefit concert, you can sing the song. But if you're singing about a hurricane, glowingly, right after a devastating hurricane and another one coming through, maybe that's a skip for the day.

00:04:39

That's one of my favorite performances. I think we all have those. We all have a list of YouTube videos that we get drunk and make everyone in the room watch. One of mine, it's dark, but it's Beyoncé singing at Kobe Bryant's funeral. Apparently, his favorite Beyoncé song was XO, but the line in the chorus is crashing into you, and he had literally just died of a hurricane. Of a helicopter crash, and she actually changed the word, just not wanting to trigger a nation.

00:05:06

Yeah, that was at the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Sam Ryder, he has that song, They're going to throw a party on the day that I die.

00:05:15

George Esra. That's not Sam. It's George Esra.

00:05:18

Isn't George Esra an old man?

00:05:20

No, he's the guy who sing Budapest. My house in Budapest. Green, green grass. Yes. George Esra. Blue, blue sky. That's how I learned the song. I'm like, I love this song. I heard it at the Queens Jubilee.

00:05:29

They changed It was the lyrics from, You're going to throw a party on the day that I die because it was- I mean, that was a little...

00:05:34

That was like, talk about on the nose. That was like, up the nostril. It was really- Yeah.

00:05:38

So that was amended.

00:05:41

Not to make the hurricane about me. And I'm not. I'm just like, I'm trying to switch subjects because I wanted to share something, and I just remembered it. Oh, two things. Actually, just one, actually. Kind of developing story of the last couple of months. I have major news to announce.

00:05:56

Okay, I'm listening.

00:05:58

Major. Ready? Special I have a special announcement. Yesterday, I put in an offer on a studio, which I haven't done yet. The good thing about the situation I found myself in is I am looking for a bunker, a unit with no windows, which are the least desirable units. Who the fuck If you actually work in an office environment, who the fuck would look for something without windows? And I found a unit with one unit in the bathroom. One window. I found a unit with one window in the bathroom. So literally, it's a bunker. Nobody wanted it. It's half the price of this place. It's been sitting on the market forever. I just put an offer in yesterday. If we get it, which I'm fairly certain we will, let me say it's such a fabulous building. My walk just got cut in half. Thank God. This walk is a little too long for me. We would have two unique studio set up so that when Ben comes-Unique New York? Yes. I would have my Ogie, and we're going to renovate a little bit when I move. Our remote setup is just going to be a little different.

00:06:54

Facelift. I'll have a nice space for that, and then I'll have a totally separate area for two seats. So when Ben and Josh want to do it, when you come to town. I'm getting a little ahead of myself because I haven't accepted my offer, and I did low ball. I was being really- Yeah, but is it this...

00:07:06

I hope they don't watch this episode, but if they stuck with their asking price, would you still take it?

00:07:12

Their asking price is so under budget. That's how much I slayed the house down on this. The answer is yes. Sorry, I didn't slay the house down. Ben's sister, Maddie, is a commercial real estate agent.

00:07:21

Maddie slayed the house. The answer is yes. Even if they don't accept your offer and you just say, Okay, I was playing hard together. I'll take what you're offering. So it will be yours. It shall be yours.

00:07:29

Not me showing I'm writing my cards publicly on the podcast. We need to get this out.

00:07:33

Do you think there's any chance they're watching this?

00:07:35

Yeah. Everyone who works in real estate is Jewish people that I know from high school. Everyone I know went into real estate.

00:07:41

Give Turdi a break. Come on. No.

00:07:42

Do you care about the toast? Do you want our bottom line to suffer? Just help me. Yeah.

00:07:47

It should be free. They should pay you.

00:07:49

We're literally a 501(C)(3). This is charity work that we do to bring joy to everyone.

00:07:54

It's so true.

00:07:56

Oh, my God. What else? Is Taylor Swift a story about the game Last night?

00:08:00

Yeah, she's a big story.

00:08:02

I'll save my little- She's a twofer. Because that's what I watched last night. I've really made peace with not finishing Love is Blind. And because I interacted on social media with so much Love is Blind content, now I'm really getting in the weeds on everyone's drama, mostly Tyler. It goes deep, and it's disappointing. Seriously, never meet your heroes.

00:08:20

I am caught up now on Love is Blind. It's really not doing anything for me. I'm on my phone way too much. So we'll see. If I miss it and I'm curious about it, I'll go back to it, but I'm happy to be caught up. I will be curious who actually gets married, but it's just not my favorite bunch of peeps. What can I say? Except when... Marissa. No, Monica. Thank you.

00:08:42

When Monica told him to stop talking.

00:08:43

When Monica told him to stop talking, I wasn't paying attention. And then she started saying, It's too much. I'm like, Zack, go back. What did I miss? And that's exactly what I meant. He talks so much. He says nothing. He thinks he's so Smart and progressive and profound and empowering, and it's like, Shut up.

00:09:04

Okay, but I feel two ways about that because what's worse than somebody not shutting up and saying the worst shit? Shut up. I loved that she took her power back. But also, what's meaner than someone being excited and chatting about something and then somebody just being like, Can you shut up? I'm a really chatty person, and I get excited about things, and I feel like- Claudia, it's so different. I know.

00:09:27

You don't take up space when you speak. You're being funny and entertaining. Some people could even be smart and interesting and educational. You're lucky to hear what I'm saying. It's so true. He's saying nothing. He's taking up all of the space. The room, yeah. And then even when she... Well, the problem is, is now that she's heard it and now that she's seen it, how do you unsee it? How can you live with that forever? It's an ick. If it bothered you once, it's going to bother you forever. But when she told him to stop talking and he was smiling so big, about to start crying tears of joy that she told... It was deranged.

00:09:58

No, he is serious. And What's so funny is a lot of our listeners, their feedback from what we said yesterday is like, No, you guys don't understand. I live in DC, and this is what it's like today. The men in DC are horrible. I'm so sorry. I know. But you know what I find so interesting about Monica, and I wanted to bring this up yesterday. I feel like when she was doing her reveal, she said something so honest, and I feel relatable. She's like, I'm 36, and I look at my life, and all I've cared about for so long is career goals, having a million friends, traveling. Now I look around, I don't care about any of that stuff, and I'm just lonely. I think a lot of people feel that way, but you're ashamed to admit. I think that we always, especially for women, you don't need a man, you don't man. But it's okay to need a man. I am independent, and I desperately need my husband in the most, not even in the scariest sense. That's okay. I actually thought that was such a really honest thing to say, and it made me like her in that moment so much.

00:10:49

Even her loneliness can't mask her hatred of him.

00:10:54

No. For that reason, I want her to find someone and she'll make it work. She seems someone who would be committed to making it work. But all of those things that are bothering her about him right now, just the talking incessantly, he was doing in the pods and you chose him.

00:11:08

Yeah, but the thing is, the only thing to do in the pods is talk. So maybe you don't notice.

00:11:11

I guess it was like...

00:11:13

But now we're on vacation. Let's read. Let's relax. Shut up.

00:11:17

And then the other moment of note, there were a few, but something that caused me to- Did Tyler bring up his kids? Tyler, if he did, I watched every episode. So if he did, I missed it. So no. Okay, no. Hannah and nick and the duck and the older woman.

00:11:33

Yeah.

00:11:34

She was being such a bitch.

00:11:37

.

00:11:39

I was honestly glad for him that she was making fun of him for wanting to do this thing, and he still went and did it. She's not going to ruin his good time. This older woman, she was the perfect person to come over and do because it's not a threat. It's not a threat. She was probably with her partner. They were just genuinely having fun. And then the way that Hannah recap it to someone else saying the older woman called her a jealous bitch. No, she didn't. She just said, Silly, don't be jealous. And the fact that Hannah made it into a thing, he was talking to another woman, it was so not that whatsoever. And then, and she was like, If someone was talking about you like that, I wouldn't just be giggling. Meanwhile, she's on the couch, Fabisna, talking shit about him to the producers.

00:12:19

And all of her friends are making comments about his looks. Has she said anything?

00:12:23

No, she is the worst.

00:12:26

The worst. Agreed.

00:12:27

And he, even if I did understand what she was saying in the pod. It's too suave saying the right thing. It was giving Sam from UK. He's a lovely person, a happy person, and she's not a happy person, and she's bringing him down.

00:12:40

That's what it is. Only a real joyful person goes and wants to ride a fake duck and makes friends on vacation. She is.

00:12:48

When she was sitting there being like, You're giving me the ick, and when he came back and they were fighting, I was like, You guys should break up right now. This is not going to work for you.

00:12:57

I hate the concept of the ick. When it first came out, I was I get into it. It's funny. I know what you mean. You see someone waiting in line, you're like, Oh. But I think it's really given people an excuse to dislike people and write them off completely for the most natural innocuous things. No one's going to be suave all the time.

00:13:15

People now conflate ick with red flag. A red flag means you should walk away from someone like, Stop, don't pass go. And ick is not that. It's just a moment of butt clenching, and then you unclench and you carry on. It's true.

00:13:27

It's so true.

00:13:30

So okay, he gave you the ick. Okay, cool. I'm sure you gave him the ick. 1,000 %. And then the list that she had next to her bed and crumpled.

00:13:37

How did it get there.

00:13:38

Oh, you didn't finish everything? No. Oh, I thought you did.

00:13:42

No, I'm done. I'm not done in the sense that I finished it. I'm done in the sense that I will no longer participate.

00:13:49

Got it. I've watched every episode they have on offer. Good for you. It's not a good season. It's not a great group. That's what I'll say. I won't miss them if I choose not to pick it back up again.

00:14:01

Yeah, same. But we have stories today.

00:14:04

You sound surprised.

00:14:07

We've got that swirlitude, right?

00:14:08

We do. Again, don't be surprised about dat. I could never. Stories in swirlitude, that's the bedrock of the toast.

00:14:16

So true.

00:14:17

Bedrock. What does that remind you of?

00:14:20

The Flintstones. Classic. Of course. I was like, Wait, am I wrong? What else? Literally, what else would there be? And bedrock is a word that I am always looking I'm really looking for.

00:14:30

I need to really start adding it to- And then also Jason Derulo, I can make your bedrock.

00:14:36

Literally. When I use the words cornerstone and core tenant, the word I'm really looking for is bedrock. And I've just now realized that, and I need to really learn this word and unlearne core tenant.

00:14:50

And what was the other... Cornerstone. Oh, I'll miss cornerstone.

00:14:54

Bye. Thanks for the memory. Don't cry because it's over as mild as it happened.

00:14:57

That's your favorite restaurant. The corner store is a cornerstone of your dining- Of your dining. Of your dining preferences.

00:15:03

That is true. So I'm maybe it could be a bedrock now. Every time I wear jeans on the toes, I regret it. The circulation to my labia is like, it's completely cut off.

00:15:14

And I was Did you have it yesterday? Today, I'm wearing- What do you have? It's so rough. I'm wearing these Capri trousers that are stretchy and adorable from Revolved. They were on pre-order, and I just got them yesterday. But do you want to know something's so crazy?

00:15:26

Yeah.

00:15:27

They came with a hole in them. I'm It's still wearing them, and I'm not sending them back because they were on pre-order. I won't get another pair. But I don't have to just- Where is it? It's on the seam on the leg.

00:15:37

On the seam? Oh, I see it. Oh my God.

00:15:40

You see it, but you guys won't see it. That's why I went for it.

00:15:42

Oh my God, that's really crazy. On the seam, you know I I'm going to fix that for you.

00:15:45

Yeah, of course. It's a nothing, but seriously, Revolve really- Okay.

00:15:50

I'm glad you brought that up.

00:15:51

Why? Get it together.

00:15:53

For the last two years, absolutely everything on Revolve is exclusively available for pre-order. What is that? And then six months later, you get a dress and you're like, I literally don't need this.

00:16:03

I have the opposite experience where it's like, Shucks, I don't want to pre order it. I need it next week. And then all of a sudden, but I pre order it because it's cute. And then it's here two days later.

00:16:11

What is up with pre order?

00:16:13

One, maybe these are popular styles that they can keep in stock. And two, maybe it allows them to not place mass orders and just do things made to order, which is a more profitable business model.

00:16:24

It's so low brow. If I order something, I expect it to come.

00:16:27

This rip is so low brow.

00:16:29

We did a whole I did an episode on the quality of Revolve. What was that? A couple of months ago, Revolve has gone so downhill. It's insane. To me, it's the same level quality as H&M now, but the prices are 10 times as much. Oh, did you see Cult GEA for Gap?

00:16:43

No.

00:16:44

I love when brands do this. Remember Isabel Balmon for H&M, Rousoni for Target?

00:16:50

No, but it's always really big houses and things that are super luxury, and it's cool when they do H&M. But I also love the idea of just great designers, mid-level designers collaborating with more affordable brands, too.

00:17:03

Kult GEA for Gap. It's a real blend. Kult GEA is a very statement piece, and Gap is very basic, so it's a real blend. I love when brands do that. We need more of that all the time. I thought that was a really good one. I don't know if Gap has ever done one.

00:17:18

The...

00:17:19

Yeah, that guy. But that's not real.

00:17:23

Yeah. Okay, cool. Yeah. And now, without further about the rip, here are the Here are the fast five stories that you need to know.

Summer is not the only time that we're getting body odor. We can get just as smelly under our favorite small sweat, fall sweaters. That's so true. I was sweating like an animal yesterday. And that's why we're really excited about Lumie Whole Body Deodorant. It's for your pits, it's for your privates, and beyond. Lumie Deodorant was by an OB/GYN who discovered that odor isn't just an underarm thing. It's an all-over thing. And they have a great new offer that we're going to share with you, but I just want to say, like Lumie I love underarm deodorant, don't get me wrong. But I have a lot of other areas, especially as a big, brested woman and a woman with rolls. There are crevices and cracks that need attention, too. And Lumine deodorant is for that. And it's also, I think a lot of people are just concerned about odor in their nether regions.

00:21:32

And it's pH Balanced. It was created by an OB/GYN, so you can use it there, too. It's clinically proven to block odor all day long and control odor for up to 72 hours. 00:22:16

Our first story, Taylor Swift's Return to Rock the Stage and the Stands at Arrowhead. For Chief's Verse, Saints' Game, she wore Vivienne Westwood's set, and more notably, she wore Sparkle Freckles on her face, which had the internet in a tizy.

00:22:33

Yeah. She wore Vivienne Westwood, which she wears all the time, but she wore plaid again. And so now everyone's setting the stage for next... It's like the third time in a row she's wore plaid.

00:22:42

You think there's going to be bagpipes on the next album?

00:22:44

I was thinking it's giving the Highland Fling.

00:22:47

For sure?

00:22:49

What could it be? I don't know. But her outfit's always had some indicator.

00:22:52

You had a good theory. What was your theory last time?

00:22:57

Well, with the VMA outfit, I I thought... Did I say it looked like she was going to do a Fortnite concert? Yeah. Because she looked like a Fortnite gamer character and Fortnite the song.

00:23:07

Yeah. She's definitely got something up her tilt.

00:23:11

I don't have a theory about plaid because I seriously don't get it.

00:23:13

You said something that was a good theory, but no, she's definitely sending a message.

00:23:19

Because you don't need to wear plaid to a football game. You just need to wear red.

00:23:23

No. And why so much plaid? Though it is the season for plaid. Maybe it's just- No, that's really crazy every Every time you're spotted out, every outfit is plaid. Yeah. I don't know what it means. I don't know what it means.

00:23:35

But let's talk about the sparkles freckles. Now, I think the universe is really divided on it. I actually understand because I've seen a bunch of pictures of the freckles, and In some of the really high-res close-up photos, it just looks like splotches on her face. But in some of the really bright iridescent photos, it looks so fucking cute. She's just kissed by the sun. She's lit from within. I think it's really about the photos. I wonder how they looked in person. So, yeah, some of the photos, it looks a little weird, but some of the photos, it looks sick.

00:24:07

Yeah, I think it's adorable, and I think it's really fun. It's giving Coachella at Arrowhead. It's just a way to have fun with your makeup, though that's not something she ever does. She barely changes her lipstick color. So it's really shocking that she could be moved to do something like this. Do you think it's another symbol, freckles plus kilt? Is she becoming an Irish redhead?

00:24:29

Is that what's next? I I don't think that the sparkly freckles are any. I think she just wanted to have fun. And it came up on my TikTok, the founder of... It's a very small woman-owned brand. She just sells these sparkly freckle tattoo type things. She was freaking. She has no idea how Taylor got it. She was freaking out.

00:24:49

I feel like when it's something you want to do for fun, you do it with a friend. I could have seen her and Brittany doing it together. I feel like it's a symbol. And you know I'm not about that symbol life. I'm tailored war risk kilt because she felt like wearing a kilt. I'm just feeling the symbolism.

00:25:05

That's interesting to hear from you because I actually don't think it's a symbol. I think everything is.

00:25:09

And do any of the Swifties think it's a symbol?

00:25:12

I know. Everybody was just like, cute choice, fun She's always playing with your makeup. But you're right, she's not a swirly who ever plays with her makeup. She's been wearing the same winged liner, red lipstick since she was 16.

00:25:21

She hasn't changed her hair. She's very classic in her look. She's had the same look. I feel like it's right in front of us. She's telling us something. Maybe her next album is called Sunkissed. She had a lot of Florida references.

00:25:39

Oh, so the game, by the way, the Chief's One, Travis played the best he's ever played, literally telling everyone to eat his ass, retire who? No, he had so many catches. He crushed it.

00:25:48

But it's also good luck, Taylor.

00:25:50

Yes. Taylor finally returns.

00:25:52

And he plays well. She's the anti-Jesica. I'm so sorry, by the way, to Jessica Simpson. You are the reference for this. I wish I had a better one because I love you, but it's you.

00:26:02

So everyone on the internet, if you care, is talking about how Jessica Simpson and her husband are most likely getting divorced. They haven't been seen together in a while. She hasn't worn a ring in a year, and she sold their LA marital home.

00:26:16

You told me some of this. And while it all is pointing to divorce, there's really no other direction that it looks like. I hold space for Jessica Simpson, living a chaotic existence, and that things that she does might not make sense to the layperson.

00:26:38

Well, speaking of things that might not make sense to the layperson, I literally was tagged in a TikTok this morning. Somebody put together... Jessica Sipson has refollowed John Maher on Instagram and had started liking his photos around the time that her marital home was put up for sale, the end of 2023. Somebody did a full-blown investigation. Too obvious.

00:26:57

But she is obvious like that.

00:26:59

Yeah, she is.

00:27:00

She wouldn't have a Finsta. She probably doesn't even realize people can see it or it might be tracking. Yes.

00:27:05

He does not follow her back.

00:27:07

Yeah, I feel like he probably closed the book there.

00:27:12

Yeah. And he dates only the youngest of the youngest girls. Jessica Simpson, I think, would be far too old for him. Yeah. He's dating Kieran and Jipga.

00:27:21

I saw that. They're two different people than they were when they dated at this point. If they met, they'd have to introduce themselves to each other. They're strangers.

00:27:30

Yeah. Okay, but back to the game. I just wanted to share something because I did watch it, and Travis played so great, so happy for him.

00:27:35

Really crushed him and Patrick. I'm so glad my Travis made it to the big game. You can't talk about Travis in the game without that. I know.

00:27:44

But there was such a cute moment. Do you know Taylor's backup? You probably don't because you refuse to engage in any Aris tour concert until you see it.

00:27:53

I saw a man and his brother and his mother. Okay.

00:27:56

Taylor's backup dancer, Cameron Saunders, she's a lot of backup dancers, but he's the one that everybody loves. He's so cute. And anytime there's a role for the backup dancer, he does it. I think he's definitely Taylor's favorite.

00:28:05

Teacher's pet.

00:28:06

And he happens to be from Kansas City. And his brother, for the longest time, was on the Chiefs as a really good, not famous, but really good stable He was a real defensive player. It was one of those players you don't really know his name, but he just does his job. Yeah. And last night, I guess I didn't even realize that his brother had gotten traded to the Saints, and he was playing Kansas City last night. And they were just talking on the... Because the brother got a good tackle, they were talking on TV about, Oh, his brother is Taylor's backup dancer. And they actually cut to Taylor, and she's like, That's my backup dancer's brother. You could actually read her mouth saying that. But then, he had a career first. They were literally, as they were talking about him, it was so weird. Kansas City threw the ball and they missed it. But before the ball hit the ground, Cameron Saunders, who is not... He doesn't make catches. He just tackles. He caught the ball and started running. And first of all, it was a turnover. And by the way, he's enormous. I think it said, They have his weight on the TV, which I can never.

00:29:01

He weighs 330 pounds. Okay? 330? So his job is really to be a brick wall. And you're not doing a lot of running in that role. You're just tackling. And so, oh, my God, he was so cute. It was a career-first catch, running, running. He was amazing. He was running, he was tackling people. The world revolves around Taylor Swift. It was really crazy. They were just talking about him. He's not a player who gets talked about a lot because he's just doing his job. Oh, my God, it was the best moment. Then Then since everyone was talking about him, ESPN started posting all these videos. Cameron, the brother who's the backup dancer, was at the game, and him and... It was just really cute.

00:29:38

That's really sweet.

00:29:40

It was.

00:29:41

So did you like her outfit? I'm so glad.

00:29:45

I liked her outfit, yes. I don't think it was the right venue for it. That's very much dinner in New York with the girls or a date night. But I feel like her game day outfits are always really relatable in a sense. She's always She's wearing gear, very wags of her. And so this was just high fashion Vivian Westwood for what?

00:30:05

Yeah, I liked it actually. Me too. I feel like it didn't get a lot of love, but I like it. I don't love it, but I do like it.

00:30:13

Arbitrarily zoomed out, I think the outfit is cute. Do you think it's appropriate for where she was? I don't know.

00:30:19

I don't know, but sometimes the wags get super glam. You can't put them in a box. Sometimes it is gear, sometimes it's glam gear, but sometimes it's like, We're just looking gargi today.

00:30:28

My favorite wag attire, if any of the wags are listening and they care what I think, is glam gear.

00:30:34

Me too.

00:30:35

Looking high fashion, you got a red Chanel jacket.

00:30:38

But I think it also depends if it's an afternoon game or a night game, because if it's an afternoon game, I love a gear, cute T-shirt with some cool jeans and cash, and I don't know, a Chanel bag.

00:30:50

Yeah. It must be fun.

00:30:52

Yeah. But this was a night game, so she brought out the heels.

00:30:56

Who do you think is the best dressed wag? Oh, Kristen news Olivia Colpo. I was going to say Olivia Colpo, too. But like, Kristenrishin Uschek gets extra points because she literally makes it from scratch.

00:31:06

Yeah, because she made it.

00:31:09

Yeah.

00:31:09

Yeah, I agree. Also a little more tailored news, 1B, is that Taylord is now the richest female musician with a networth of $1.6 billion, usurping Rihanna at $1.4 billion. So Forbes has just updated Taylored's networth, which makes her the richest female musician.

00:31:29

It also makes her the richest, I think, musician cross-gender, whose money solely comes from music.

00:31:38

Potentially.

00:31:39

Right. That's why it makes her surpassing Rihanna that much more impressive, because obviously, music-wise, Taylor Swift is going to be making more money for music. But Rihanna literally owns a billion-dollar global brand. It's insane. The fact that she was able to do that through music is so crazy. I know these stats matter to Taylor, and I'm happy for her.

00:31:58

Yeah, and especially for so long, it was It's crazy that she was not a billionaire. Not until one year. But Selena was. One year ago. But Selena was. One year ago, she became a billionaire, and now she's the richest female musician. But I'm just so glad that she's in these convos, which She should have been for a long time.

00:32:17

Yeah. I love Forbes and their nosiness when it comes to people's money. I appreciate them staying on top of her networth because I do wonder.

00:32:25

Yeah. Our next story is one of our favorite subjects Dex.

00:32:31

Food?

00:32:32

No.

00:32:33

Wait. Oh, I'm sorry. No, I have to say something because I was just reminded of something. We did talk about how last week, Jackie and I were obviously off Thursday and Friday for Russia Shana, but Jackie had the brilliant idea because we know you guys missed us so much and we couldn't record an episode, that on Friday, just as a little treat, we would re-release an old episode of an iconic toast episode. We chose the one Robert Flatz. That's one people are always quoting to us about the one time I thought Rascal was a name, and it just was a fabulous episode. We The reception was so positive, but I wanted to say something. One, I'm so glad you guys liked it. We are going to do that on days off. We love a federal holiday. We are going to go back in the vault and reshare old episodes. It's so funny to hear our pop culture takes and how different we talk and look. Oh, my God. Sound off in the comments what your favorite episode is, and we'll start rereleasing them on random days off. But I needed to say, the one thing we have to do moving forward is we have to record just an intro for these Toast Herstory episodes because so many people were like, I listen to pretty much most episode without realizing that it wasn't new.

00:33:31

I was like, Oh, Taylor Swift has a new album because Robert Flatts episode was the day Evermore dropped. I was cracking up so hard. I needed to tell you that.

00:33:38

Do people not look at the title when- It was called...

00:33:41

But by the way, we would name a title.

00:33:42

It said Toast Herstory, Robert Flatts, Original Air Date.

00:33:47

I thought we made it clear, but some people just like, they love us. They just press play. They don't give a fuck.

00:33:51

Okay, we'll record an intro after this, and maybe we'll write a song. I'm so glad we're doing our toaster story, one step closer to Travis being my last name.

00:34:05

No. Okay, so it's for days off. Ready? Okay. So what'd you say? The first line?

00:34:09

I'm so, I'm so glad we're doing our toaster story.

00:34:16

We are almost back with Jackson turdy. Like, we're coming back. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:34:23

We'll work on it. No, I like it.

00:34:26

No, don't try and do more than that. We can barely get the first two lines.

00:34:30

This is our creative process, turdy. Can't stye me the process. So true. You can't stye me the process, can't you?

00:34:38

Stye me is another good word.

00:34:40

It is, but it reminds me of stye, which I don't like.

00:34:44

Have you ever had a stye? I feel like you haven't.

00:34:47

I feel like I have not, but I feel like I have. I've definitely had phantom stye.

00:34:53

I, like, oddly had a lot of styles growing up, and I've gotten a couple in my adult life, and They are debilitating. They are horrible.

00:35:02

Yeah. I'm sorry. If you have a style today, just know we're thinking of you.

00:35:07

If you have a Stye today, don't try that stuff from the drugstore called Stye. It's horrible. Just put a warm tea bag on your eye. It'll go away.

00:35:13

Yeah, and some sunglasses for the rest of us.

00:35:19

And also, wash your face.

00:35:21

Wash your face. Our next story, one of our favorite subjects, Intimacy on Set.

00:35:29

Andrew Who's doing what now? What?

00:35:31

Who's doing what? Andrew Garfield reveals that his sex scene with Florence Pew went further than intended when filming their new movie, We Live In Time. Horrible title for a movie. Seriously. What's it called? We Live In Time.

00:35:44

It's bad.

00:35:44

What is it? We live in a time.

00:35:50

I have no idea.

00:35:52

Passion between Andrew Garfield and his costar Florence Pew heated up when the cameras weren't rolling, but not exactly on purpose. He detailed one particular a racy scene, he and Florence, film that went, quote, a little bit further than they intended. The 41-year-old explained that the sex scene was captured on a closed set, meaning only a very small amount of people were in attendance for the sake of the actor's privacy. He said in a discussion at the 92nd Street Y, I just feel like that's important to know. He said, quote, We were getting into it, as it were, and we go a little bit further than we were meant, just because we never heard Cut, and it was feeling safe. He went on to detail the two actors' methods as they continued rehearsing the choreograph saying, And we're like, Okay, we'll go to the next thing and the next thing. We'll let this progress and we'll just carry on. At a certain point, both of us, I feel like we were telepathically saying to each other, This definitely feels like a long take. Then he noted that he looked up to see the camera operator was not even filming the passionate moment between himself and Flo.

00:36:50

He shared, I look up and in the corner is Stuart and our boom operator. Stuart has the camera by his side and it's turned into the wall. I guess they just thought they were Going at it for fun.

00:37:02

Here's the thing. Celebrities will share tidbits like this, and then also straight to your face be like, No, it's not weird to make out with a random person when you're married. That's part of the job. They're always telling us, It's not weird. It's not weird. It's not weird. It's part of the job. It's part of the job. It's part of the job. And then something like this will be said, and I'm like, It's weird. You literally can't convince me it's not.

00:37:23

Actors are weird people. Were they both single during this instance? Because if I were one of their partners and I heard this, that's cheating. It's already so fucking weird. But the fact that they kept going, why didn't they hear Cut, but the camera guy put his camera down and they're still going at it?

00:37:43

No, and by the way, so they did all this extra work, and it wasn't even caught on tape.

00:37:45

Maybe sometimes I could see how intimacy would go a little more, but that's just the actor's really feeling the role and whatever. It's like, Okay, so get that on camera. We'll incorporate that and the improvisation into the film. This is just really.

00:38:00

The fact that this happened, it is what it is. We can't change that. The sharing.

00:38:11

Yeah. But I feel like if it happened and they didn't share, it was secretive, That also makes it weird.

00:38:16

The whole thing is weird.

00:38:19

This is just a weird thing that happens that they want us to wrap our heads around and think is normal. I think for most of us, it's not.

00:38:30

No, it's not. I guess I really can see if you work in a sitcom and it's very PG and you just kiss. I can see that becoming routine, and it's so analytical about the lights. But the more and more things that I watch, there is so much pretty graphic sex in everything. Like, literally Florence P. Had a sex scene in Oppenheimer. So unnecessary. They put sex everywhere. Really graphic. I'm not talking about just kissing. I'm sorry. Being naked and in these types of positions, that I don't think you could ever get used to. The kissing, Oh, my fake husband on a sitcom, young Sheldon shirt.

00:39:06

A hundred %. And what's funny, it's like audiences aren't asking for this. I feel like it's constantly voiced upon us, and we're getting just used to more and more sex scenes, longer, more graphic, more skin, more bits. And it's them pushing it on us when it's like, you would think they'd be the ones to be like, You know what? Let's just leave it to your imagination.

00:39:26

There is a lot of unnecessary sex sex and nudity, I feel. Seriously, the nudity in Oppenheimer was so unrelated to the storyline. Yeah, I guess Oppenheimer had a check on the side. Okay.

00:39:41

Yes, he should.

00:39:42

You could show them in bed. There's just a reason to see It's a movie about a bomb and a war. It's unique. Unique energy, unique New York.

00:39:51

Unique energy. I just hope they were single.

00:39:57

That's all I'll say. No, and if you're an actress who doesn't... There are There are actresses who have hard lines. They won't do nudity. I feel like now more than ever, your options are definitely limited. Now, when I think back on the fact that in Sex in the City, like Carrie Bradcha, who obviously Sarah Jessica Parker had a line, she was like, I'm not being nude at all. It's actually crazy that she was a star of that show, given what the show is about and the contents of the show and all the other women and their sexy. The fact that she never showed nudity, honestly, it's impressive. I don't think you could get away with that today.

00:40:28

No, I don't think so. I don't think you could helm a show with sex in the title and be a budding actress, not someone who like, We want you in our movie because people are going to watch it. We know you.

00:40:38

Someone knew. Zendaya was the only one in euphoria who didn't do nudity, and that's because she's Zendaya, and she can say that.

00:40:44

And they want her in their show. And if it were someone who doesn't have an audience or fans, they'd be like, Okay, we could find someone else who's down to do it and doesn't have an audience and fans. Yeah. Okay. Okay, I'm over.

00:40:59

Keep Keep telling us it's not weird. It is.

00:41:02

It is. Are you ready for our next story? Number three. Number? Yeah. Brittany Cartwright started secretly hooking up with Jack Taylor's pal, Julian Sensley, shortly after their separation. So the divorce between Jack and Brittany, every day we get some new stuff, but this was the most sensational thing that I've heard. Brittany Cartwright started secretly hooking up with one of her estranged husband's Jack Taylor's pals shortly after their separation. Page 6 can exclusively reveal. They can confirm that after Jacks and Brittany announced their split in February, she began a casual physical relationship with basketball player turned actor Julian Sensley, who used to work the door at Tom Tom.

00:41:43

Oh. Yeah.

00:41:45

Page 6 was told that the two of them only ever hung out privately and that their romance is now over. An insider tells Page 6 that Sensley and his now fiancé, who have a child, have been on and off, and we're going through a rough time when he and Brittany were intimate. So there's a lot of- Of layers. Of bits here. One, he was a professional basketball player, so that's cool. He's friends with Jacks. Obsessed. He worked for Tom Tom, but that pretty much Brittany started hooking up with his friend after they split. Good.

00:42:15

I love to see Brittany out here just doing whatever she wants. She was married to someone who seriously did whatever he wanted throughout the course of their marriage. Now that she has no ties to him, besides their kid, but I mean, she has no loyalty or obligation to him, do it. Literally do whatever you want. Every I see her doing something, I'm like, Good. And Jax is really being crazy. They have a podcast together, but they aren't talking. So Jax has been releasing solo episodes, and no one had heard from him, and then he released an episode. Why your partner might be ghosty? Something like, whatever.

00:42:47

I was just like, What? That's really crazy.

00:42:51

Also- And Brittany was like, Sorry, the podcast is a little... When he released that episode, she was like, We're working on it. Sorry.

00:42:57

I feel like if you're paying close attention to that podcast, it's probably filled with tea, but I just don't think that many people are paying attention.

00:43:05

No, I know.

00:43:06

But also, don't forget that in February, when they were splitting up, he was spotted out and about with that little girl. Not little girl, younger lady. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I forgot. Yeah, just to put it into context.

00:43:19

Well, that's good. Everyone was moving on. Everyone was moving on. Well, that's good. Brittany deserves to be in a relationship. But how great that this guy, she just happened to get involved with Will Piss Off Jacks. We're all winning here.

00:43:29

Yeah. I didn't put enough milk in my coffee.

00:43:33

Here, let me.

00:43:34

It's a little strong. I ran it up half and half, so I'd use Charlie's milk. Not as tasty.

00:43:43

Something major that happened in my life. Have you tried the Chobani creamers? They went super viral.

00:43:47

I see everyone talking about them. I feel like I tried it once, and I didn't love it, so I didn't give it more chances, and I should have.

00:43:54

I tried it, too. I bought a random one, Hazelnut, because that's what I... And it was seriously puke. Then Satchel I'll crack it. It was turd. Trust and believe, get the purple one. I think it's like... I don't even know what the flavor is. Sweet cream? Sweet cream, yeah.

00:44:06

Raven's always talking about it.

00:44:08

Delicious.

00:44:09

Okay, I'll get it.

00:44:11

For me, I'm always looking for something to mask the flavor of coffee. You put the tiniest splash in here. It's water. It's amazing.

00:44:17

Yeah, I just need a little something, and I'll have to go get some half and half, but I think the grocery stores are cleared out.

00:44:23

Oh, by the way, did you stock up on stock?

00:44:25

Zack went yesterday. I wanted to get some beans just in case I feel to make a chili. Making a chili? Yeah. I'll try and pick up a few items later today. It's crazy out there. I know. I mean, even just the rain, we just had so much weather here. Can't really be outside or anything. It's just a bummer. Jack and Brittany are...

00:44:48

You know what? Good. You'd love to see Brittany out here just living her life after being subjected to what I can only imagine was the most torturous years of her life, for real. Yeah, agreed. Their divorce got super contentious. He had been trying to get joint custody, right? Yes. And then he represented himself in court and said, Never mind.

00:45:11

Yeah. Then he put forth a motion to give Brittany full custody. And then he said that it was an error in the paperwork and that he made a mistake.

00:45:18

That he now wants joint?

00:45:19

I don't know what he's going for, but that was an error.

00:45:25

He's now going for joint. Yeah.

00:45:28

So Valley Season 2, Can't Come Fast enough. Valley can't come fast enough.

00:45:36

Sheena was on Watch What Happens Live, and Andy was like, What'd you do this summer? Do you hang out or talk to a sandeval? She said, No. Ariana, no. Katie, no. She said, I have the worst relationship with Katie out of everyone. He was like, Have you been hanging out with the people from the Valley? She was like, Yeah, a lot. He was like, Will we see you on there? He literally knows he's the producer. She was like, We'll see.

00:45:56

Well, we saw her on season one. Her and Lala go to the parties and stuff. It's just a matter of how much involvement. But she doesn't do confession. Right. That's up to the producers. Are you ready for our next story?

00:46:08

No. Okay. It's the next story that's brought to you by Skims? Yes. Okay. When it comes to bras, we all have different needs, right? I feel like I definitely have more needs than the average woman because I have huge breasts. I've fluctuated in weight my whole life. So they're not standing up right on their own at attention. So I just am always looking for real bras, bras for real women. And I found over the years, seriously, no one's making good bras. Then Skims and their T-shirt bra, which seriously fixed my back problems. Now, anytime I need a bra, like Skims is one of my places. I love their bras. Every single night I sleep in there. I call it a relaxation bra. I think it's technically the Jersey racer back bra. I love for all different... If I need super, super tough support, if I need more of a relaxed fit, but I can't just not wear a bra, I love Skims. They are comfortable, flattering. They've helped solve so many of my back problems, and my breasts really look gorgeous. At least that's what everyone's saying. The bra that I got first, that was my foray into Skims bras, and that really helped with a lot of my back problems, is the Fits Everybody T-shirt bra.

00:47:11

It's really the best bra I've ever owned. They make my boobs look so great, keeps my natural shape, and it doesn't have a ton of padding. I just need to my boobs lifted. That's literally all I need. I think what everyone really loves about Skims is they have so many sizes. Really, the key to a good bra is knowing your size. I know you think you know your size. You don't. The size system at Skims is so fabulous, and there's truly sizes for everyone. They go up to 30. They go from 30A to 46H. So shop Skimsbra at skims. Com. And if you haven't yet, be sure to let them know that we sent you. After you place your order, select podcast in the survey, and select our show from the drop down menu. Thank you, SaaS Chert.

00:50:45

You are so welcome.

00:50:46

Our next story, Luke Bryant is clarifying-Clarifying?Clarifying some comments that he made talking about Beyoncé's- About Beyoncé? Cma snub. So yesterday or the day before, he was on Radio Andy. No.

00:51:00

Like last week.

00:51:01

Talking about the snub, which we have discussed. He shared his thoughts on why she might have been snubbed. And this is what he said then. So his original comment to Andy encouraged, Everybody coming in and making country albums. He concluded his thoughts by saying that he doesn't think necessarily an artist will or should get nominated solely for making a country album. He said, Sometimes a lot of great music is overlooked just because she made one, a country album, just because I make one, I don't get any nominations. I think the CMA, they have their voting body, and they vote what they think should make it. Everybody loved that Beyoncé made a country album. Nobody's mad about that. More so that she didn't get into the country, the world of country.

00:51:41

He said, Come play with us. Do the rounds, go to country radio, do interviews, be a part of the CMA family. It's not just enough, in his opinion, to release an album that's technically of the country genre.

00:51:51

Perhaps that's his opinion, but also him just trying to make sense of why she wasn't nominated.

00:51:59

I think that's like- I think his thought was that was the CMA's reason for not including Beyoncé.

00:52:04

Just because you make a country album, anyone can just decide to make a country album, doesn't mean you're going to get nominated for the country awards. You got to get in the mix a little bit.

00:52:13

To be honest, I actually don't agree with that. If you release a country album, it should be eligible for country awards.

00:52:21

But do you agree with that being probably the reason why she wasn't nominated?

00:52:26

No. Because Beyoncé doesn't have to do anything. She's fucking Beyoncé. What she's going to go to a random radio station and start doing interviews like everybody else. She's Beyoncé.

00:52:36

Yeah, not a random radio station, but there are things. The Opry, perform at the Opry. That's a nice- She's Beyoncé. I know, but that's a prestigious thing to do. She doesn't have to start at the bottom.

00:52:49

Well, I don't think Beyoncé made this album to get nominated. I want to say that. I think it was a statement. She released a whole statement on why she... She had her reasons because she's got her reasons. Reasons. So I don't think Beyoncé cares, but I do want to know why. And I don't think that this is the reason, for real.

00:53:06

Okay. I think he put forth a decent theory, though, not one that you or I had discussed. I thought of. And so then he's clarifying his comments on X because I think people... He was getting a lot of hate for talking about it, right? So he said, he lauded Beyoncé and how loyal her fans are. He said, I respect Beyoncé. I spend a lot of time supporting other artists. I want everyone to win. He said, He could not let the media create a false narrative, adding that he encouraged everyone to listen to the interview instead of reading clickbait headlines. You will hear my tone and intentions, which were not negative. I don't think his tone or intentions were negative in this. I think he was just trying to make sense of something for people.

00:53:44

For Beyoncé fans, there is no reason why she shouldn't have been nominated. Anyone trying to come up with a reason, it's like, Shut up. It's a losing thing. The thing is, if you know Luke Brian and you watch him on American Idol, he's really a nice guy, and I don't think he's ever had beef with another artist. He's really very Hamish in his personal life. He's very generous. I don't think he's a bad person at all. I think he was just talking, and you're allowed to talk. I do wonder what other country artists think, and he's one of the biggest ones.

00:54:14

And theorizing and also not trying to just assume the worst about the CMAs, because he's in the CMA universe, and he's not trying to make enemies on either side. I think he was just talking about it, which some people didn't like.

00:54:35

Yeah. No, he's absolutely allowed to theorize, just like all of us. And if anything, he has more insight than any of us.

00:54:42

Yeah. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? Some exciting book to movie news.

00:54:49

Wow. Fifth and final. It's all coming to an end. Because I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll Do you think that guy, the song was flying private?

00:55:02

Who calls a plane a jet plane unless you're flying private? Correct. And he's a big singer.

00:55:08

He wrote his song. Was this song before his success?

00:55:11

I don't know. I feel like it was private.

00:55:14

Maybe he just needed another syllabus, 'cause I'm leaving on an airplane. Okay, wait. Now it's intentional. He's obviously wealthy in the song, and the girl should run after him. Yeah.

00:55:26

Get on the plane.

00:55:28

Do you remember when somebody sampled that song? Who's... Because I'm leaving, never going to come back again. She found somebody that does it better than he can. No more making you fly. Is it like Jessie McCartney? Let me play it on a G5, G5. I'm leaving.

00:55:43

I think it is Jessie McCartney. It is, right?

00:55:47

It is, yeah. What's the name of the song?

00:55:49

G5.

00:55:50

It should be.

00:55:55

Leaving.

00:55:56

Okay. Also good. It doesn't. Levin by Jessie McCartney.

00:55:59

Are you ready for our fit in final I'm not going to ask you. I'm just going to get you ready. You no longer have a choice on this Tuesday.

00:56:08

Jeez. Okay.

00:56:09

I'm foisting it upon you. Let's hear it. Colleen Hoover's novel, Reminders of Him, sets a movie at Receptation at Universal for Valentine's Day, 2026.

00:56:20

Her worst book. Give us November ninth first. Give us ugly love first. Reminders of Him was actually the last Colleen Hoover book I ever read.

00:56:30

I have not read Reminders of Him because I Coleen too close to the sun for myself after November ninth. That was too much Coleen for me.

00:56:40

I need to remember the Reminders, the name of the guy in the book, his name bothered me so much. Her name was Kenna, and his name was like- Ledger Ward. Ledger. Oh my God, I hate.

00:56:53

Oh my God, he is the rural juror.

00:56:56

Okay, now be checking my phone to look something up. Three missed calls, so urgent. All from potential My potential spam. Leave me alone. I know. That's really crazy to call me three times. I know. Just get alive.

00:57:04

My potential spam is out of control.

00:57:08

And what lists am I on?

00:57:10

I don't know. And I feel like I can sense I got added to one recently because the tone has changed. Something about people looking for a job, and they think it's not good.

00:57:22

Are you hiring?

00:57:24

Apparently. Ledger Ward. Here is the-Ward. Here is the It's described as a transformative feature film about motherhood, forgiveness, and the power of one love to heal even the most shattered heart. The story follows Ken Roen, who returns to her hometown. This is something that Jenna Maroney would star in. Who returns to her hometown after serving...

00:57:46

Jackie, we can't just move past that statement.

00:57:49

So true. Who returns to her hometown after five years in prison for a tragic mistake. She hopes to reconnect with her young daughter, though everyone is intent on keeping them apart. Only one person in the area hasn't shunned her, and that's the local bar owner, Ledger Ward, who becomes an important part of Kenna's life. The novel published in-AKA, They Start Fuckin. The novel published in 2022 has sold over six and a half million copies globally and has been translated into 45 languages.

00:58:16

I'm sorry. Colleen Hoover is so impressive. I know. And honestly, this book sucks. If you're going to read Colleen Hoover, November ninth, we love, so good.

00:58:25

No, but six and a half million people, those are all the people who loved It Ends With Us, loved Verdi, loved November ninth.

00:58:32

What do you think is her biggest book? It Ends With Us?

00:58:34

It Ends With Us, yeah. And then plus the movie makes it her biggest book. I think number two, maybe it starts with us, but then Verdi comes after that, I would say. But people fall down a Colleen Hoover rabbit hole and then start reading all of her old works. So reminders of him, six and a half million people are at that place.

00:58:52

They say that more than 10 million copies of It Ends With Us has been sold.

00:58:56

I feel like it's more.

00:58:58

And that's like an old... Not old, but it's before the movie came out. Let me look up Verdi. I think it goes It Ends With Us and then Verdi. I don't know if it starts with us. Was that popular? No, but like- Oh, Verdi? It says over three and a half million.

00:59:10

When was that?

00:59:12

It's Gemini.

00:59:13

Google AI over you. People said you I always trust it.

00:59:17

Everyone's trying to ruin my good time. That's why.

00:59:20

I'm just looking.

00:59:26

Sorry. What do you think is...

00:59:29

Justice for Layla. I thought that was a decent book.

00:59:33

That's the only one I haven't read. She tried to get spooky and put a ghost in there.

00:59:35

It's October. So if you want to read a ghost book, read Layla. And it was a Redheads book, so there's an episode on it.

00:59:40

When I was watching the Kansas City game last night, I was watching cable, which I don't watch a lot. There was a commercial for free forms, 31 Days of Ox. No, what was it? Remember how ABC Family would do like, Spooky Nights, Halloween, and then they do the 12 Days of Christmas? The warmth that commercial seriously put in me. I was immediately seven, and we were laying in the dead. We used to watch all those movies. I love that they're still doing that for the kids.

01:00:06

Yeah. Speaking of cable, we were on cable last night. We didn't even talk about this.

01:00:10

Oh, my God. Not me getting DMs being like, They're talking about you on the MSNBC Gen It's a Saki show. I'm like, Excuse me?

01:00:18

Is it? I think so.

01:00:19

The P is silent?

01:00:19

The P is silent, I believe. Saki.

01:00:22

I was immediately like, Oh, great. What did she say about us?

01:00:26

Yeah, no, scary. And you texted me, by the way, I didn't get one message.

01:00:30

But you, Jackie, I don't think you have your messages on.

01:00:32

I have my messages limited. You can't reply to my stories.

01:00:36

Not Jackie complaining she doesn't get any messages because you literally have them limited.

01:00:39

If you follow me, you can go to my profile and hit message.

01:00:43

Who does that? Everybody just responds to stories?

01:00:46

I don't have a response to stories. It's not good for my mental health.

01:00:49

But I do use this, but then no complain that you don't get messages.

01:00:52

No, I still get them. The people can find a way to reach me. Plus, I have my DMs open with thousands from over the years. Oh, not the thousands. So me and my community, we can reach each other. But yeah, it's not good for my mental health, positive or negative comments. Of course, you think negative. I don't want to see people reacting to my stories. But it's also all that affirmation isn't good either. I don't want to post a story and then be waiting. What are people writing to me? I just want to let it sit.

01:01:16

Love that. Well, they had said, Saki's talking about you, and I was like, great. What do we do now? It just can't be good. It can't. Then I listened to it, and it was actually not Saki. She had a very millennial coded swirly on to talk about Kamala doing Call Her Daddy and the impact of traditional legacy media versus new media. Then she was like, What other shows do you think would be good? The girl was like, The Toast. That's what everybody needs to be doing. Then it got me thinking, Okay, let's say we get reached out to. We're going to say yes, right? By the way, no one's reaching out. We're just having a hypothetical game. We would say yes to either, no to both. What would we do?

01:01:50

I think the decision would be the same for both of them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. However, I don't think if we did one, the other one probably wouldn't come on. I think that's what we were I was talking about yesterday, will Trump do call her daddy? Because Alex said that she put the call out. I don't think it would make sense for him to do the same show as Kamala. But I then think that his team would start thinking about, that is a good audience to reach, women that sect, to do a show that's similar in demographic. Then the question is, which one?

01:02:23

Right. Literally us. Sorry. But I thought maybe Kamala They wouldn't both do that because you're right. They wouldn't both do the same one. But if they were like, Bernie Sanders and Trump both went on Theovon back to back. Theovon also had the President of the Teamsters on this week. He's obviously really getting involved in the election. At his Lunch lady. Yeah, of course. But no, I mean, recently, he's getting really into the election.

01:02:45

But Bernie Sanders and Trump, that's not the same as Kamala and Trump.

01:02:49

No, but it's not that different. Bernie's not running for President, but he did.

01:02:53

Yeah, but no, that's just...

01:02:56

No, I don't think they really could ever do the same show.

01:02:58

I don't think it's great strategy. The thing of the beauty of podcasts are there's so many.

01:03:05

It's true. The beauty of being that big of a platform is you're bringing the listeners with you. It really doesn't matter how big the show you go on.

01:03:14

That's true. Well, no, but you do want to reach... If a podcast has a huge millennial women audience, and that's the demographic you want to reach, no, actually, there's value in going on a big female show.

01:03:26

That's true.

01:03:28

We'll let you know. Just crazy times. We'll let you know if anybody reaches out to us. I actually didn't see that being what... Not that it's happened at all, or probably won't happen, but when we were talking about it yesterday, that wasn't my next logical jump, is that he would do a show of the similar elk. But that is good strategy. And I learned that on Jen's Sook Yee show. That is good strategy. Yeah.

01:03:49

Yeah, yeah. With a swirly who is obviously obsessed with the toast, even though she kept calling us the morning toast.

01:03:52

She might have left a while ago, but still, thanks for the support and the shout out.

01:03:58

Oh, my God. I've never seen anybody make a hard hand like that.

01:04:01

I'm trying to do new hard hands because I know this... I love this one, but I wanted to do like...

01:04:04

I love this, but you know how the kids do it these days.

01:04:06

I can't do it. Actually, I've got crazy fingers. I can do more than an octave on the piano. I could probably do it.

01:04:13

Wait, I feel like I'm having a stroke. It's like... Oh, wait, hold on. Yeah, it's index and middle. Oh, like this, like this. That's cute. And then when they don't have both hands, Jackie- I feel like a claw in this stuffed animal machine at an arcade. Jackie, when they don't have both hands, then they just go like this.

01:04:31

That's what I was doing to you the other day.

01:04:34

Claudia. I'm sorry, hard hands are always going to be Selena Gomez.

01:04:37

Claudia.

01:04:38

Okay, but sorry. Selena Gomez is always going to own the hard hands. This is the OJ.

01:04:42

It's also tailored. Okay, do you think we're making a heart?

01:04:47

Okay, I'm going to go over to the edge of my wall because that's where- I'll go.

01:04:51

We'll see. We'll see how we did.

01:04:53

That's our show.

01:04:55

That's our show.

01:04:57

That's our show.

01:04:59

That's It's bittersweet after doing an hour 45 yesterday to only do an hour six. I know.

01:05:09

We're disgraceful.

01:05:10

We are disgraceful.

01:05:13

And we'll leave you with that. Thank you guys so much for listening to the Toast of Money Show.

01:05:15

Or we could just keep repeating each other.

01:05:18

We're almost at an hour seven.
