Good morning, girlies.
It's The Toast.
It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts.
It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's The Toast.
I sound amazing.
Welcome back to The Toast, bats. Da da da da— yeah that's right! Welcome back to The Toasts... Jerts leaving today!
I'm not leaving you guys um, that could be confusing. I'm sat. Yeah it could be confusing if you're dumb well you just never know when we're like making an announcement when we're going on journafred one thing about us: We are constantly leaving. We're literally never leaving. You could have said that about us like in the past week.
The most seen horses in the podcast industry.
If you wanna do Toast at a Glance, we can go there. Like we can—
I mean, it's too early on a Monday to start Toasting at a Glance.
Especially we have so much to talk about today.
The Knicks, our NBA championship, the Alex Cooper hip piece has arrived. Like, and I use the word hip piece extremely lightly. So much to discuss.
The girls are back together. I barely spoke to you this weekend because you were on a cojournafred.
I was, I barely spoke to you this weekend. I forgot, like, how are you?
Wearing a t-shirt?
I'm good.
I'm wearing a t-shirt. Yeah, a little yellow t-shirt with a little pink pant.
I've just like given up completely on looks. Like, I'm just not in my esthetic era. It's fine.
I agree, but I got two new pairs of pants that are like keeping me afloat.
I think we're wearing the same pair of pants.
Mine are Rag Bone.
Whose are yours? We're not, I don't know, but it's not like a company I've ever heard of, so we're not wearing the same pants.
And of course the two pairs of pants like are the same Rag Bone pants, just in two different colors. Different colors, of course.
Yes, yes, yes. If I like it, I'll just get it in another color.
I know, but it only comes in 2 colors, so like, shit.
The pants that I'm wearing come in 3 colors, and I have all 3. They come in like a denim, so I look like I'm wearing jeans. They come in a white and then a blush pink like you're wearing, which is why I thought we were wearing the same pants.
Oh, but you're wearing the blush? These are white. You're wearing the white, I understand, I understand, I understand.
How are you today? Oh, how does my hair look today, you fucking bitch?
Oh my God, you guys, I'm so sorry. I did not, I'm at an angle. I am at an angle.
I can't believe that Friday's episode for literally 45 minutes, not seconds, minutes, I had like an alfalfa sprout coming out of my fucking hair. And my sister who's literally staring at me for the 45 minutes doesn't say one word.
So I'm not staring at you the way that the camera is. Like when I turn on the episode in 2 seconds, I'm like, is someone gonna tell her about her hair? But like from where I'm sitting, like the, at an angle and your hair is the same color as a headphone. Like I did not, see it like that.
The crazy thing was that like I felt it and I keep like futzing with it if you watch the episode, but I can't quite tame it. Like I wasn't 100% sure like which was hair, which was headphone. I was like, oh, maybe I'm just like feeling the headphones. I'm so like, I can't, I didn't wanna clip anything from Friday's episode. I'm like, it needs to go in the garbage.
No, I know. And it's like all of the comments are just about the hair as they should be, even though like.
You know what? We should have like fucked up hair more often. Engagement was off the charts.
Yeah, it's true. It's true.
No, no, no.
I'm, I'm very, very sorry for, for not stepping in and for the distraction. I, I'll, I'll look closer. I'll look closer and I'll see you.
Thank you.
I'll really see you.
Huge weekend. The Knicks are NBA champions on Saturday night. They took it home in the 5th game, an away game. Um, I was actually out of town. I was in New York State still, but I was upstate and you know, I was actually kind of glad. I was a little afraid of like what was gonna go down in the city. I wasn't sure if I wanted the team to win or not cuz I'm like, it's, it's, it was actually very, peaceful viewing experience. 'Cause I'm like, if they win, great, we're NBA champions. If we lose, like the fun continues. Yeah. I get to go to the game. So it was really a very low stakes viewing experience and I was pretty sure they were gonna lose 'cause they were stinking it up until like the last minute.
I love that the Knicks can only win when they're losing.
When they're losing. Yeah. And Jalen Brunson, um, in the NBA, like post-game thing, when he was being interviewed, he was like, I don't know what it is. We show up to the game 20 minutes late, but we showed up. And yeah, I don't know why they have this pressure—
Underdog mentality. No, like they only can win if they're losing. That's it. Even in every single game, they're always coming from, from behind. If they ever had a lead, like when they're 3-0 and they're at a machine, everything's going their way. No, no, no. That's the worst thing for them.
Yeah. They operate well under pressure.
Yeah. And like being losers, which is great. 'Cause that makes them winners.
100%. It's such an exciting time. Like the city, like everyone is wearing their merch. Everyone is wearing their merch.
It's kind of like after like a Toast merch drop. It's like a similar thing.
Exactly, exactly. But we obviously have just like better styles and you know, not everyone can afford shoptoastmerch.com.
Yeah, quality, top quality fabric.
Just really an insane end to an insane story. And I love that the way that it ended was just very much like the Jalen Brunson show. 'Cause what I like about the Knicks is like, it's not just like LeBron and like a bunch of others.
Like it really is— Not Webb and Yama and a bunch of others.
Right, it's really like,—
a team effort.
A team effort. Like even the bench players are like huge. And even though like it is Jalen's team and Jalen was kind of quiet this series and then, um, then he wasn't. Like I think they had 90 points total and he had 48 of them. Like it was just insane. And it was very much like Jalen Brunson beating the odds. I didn't know that he had this sort of like villain origin story where people have just like, he's 6'2", which is a very large height, but he's considered really small.
I mean, when he's playing, he looks really short.
Like—
He does. It's— he's not— Not even just with Webby on. Not even just with Webby. Like with Karl-Anthony?
Yeah, he looks really small and he is small. He's a point guard. Point guards are supposed to be small.
He's like a shorty.
But it's very rare that like the team star and like the team is built around the player who's the point guard. And I guess when the Knicks like restructured and brought Jalen Brunson on as their star and they were gonna build the team around him, there was a lot of criticism like from the league. I'm now watching like fan edits of like Stephen A. Smith, like everyone who's ever been like, this was a really bad call for the Knicks. He was just really doubted. And so I think that obviously winning the championship is, It's so amazing, but when you also prove everyone wrong, it's like an even fucking better feeling.
Yeah.
I will beat the odds. I can go the distance. I can face the world. Fearless, proud, and strong. I will beat the odds. I can go the distance. Like, it's a movie.
Yeah, it's also great news for the shorties, you know?
Huge for our community, and by shorties, we are of course talking about the 6'2" basketball players.
No, but he's a shorty out there on that court.
He looks 4'11". He looks like our height. It's insane that he's 6'2".
He looks our height.
And, and I thought that in regular games too, not just against the Giant.
Yeah, I have like a lot of like short—
like, like, you have a chip on your shoulder?
No, no, no. Like, I just feel kinship to short people and people who like live the short life. Like, we are living two different lives from tall people.
It's so funny because we are short. Like, I don't know, I'm shorter than you.
If you've ever met us in person, we are Shorter than you think. We are, we just make 5'1". We are 5'1" flat. We just make 5'1" with our— 5'1"!
I am 5'1".
With our flats on.
And I am so short. Like I'm shorter than average. And I wanna say like, I don't even think about it. Like I don't feel short.
Like— No, I, I love my height. Like I love being short, but we are living a different experience.
No, I know. But I don't even think like, I don't identify as short. I don't notice that like other people are taller than me or that other people like live differently unless I'm at a concert.
Yeah. No, me neither really. But when I see a short person, shorty. And you know, like, when I always talk about Sabrina, especially when she's always like with the tall girls— like, Taylor only hangs out with tall girls. So like, it's just different when you're a shorty.
Yeah. And being a celebrity who's either really short or really small, like, it's not always easy to see, like, in pictures or on Instagram. I remember when I met Kim Kardashian, she's my height.
Yeah. And that's like— Kim and Kourtney are very short like us. Yeah. So like, that's our people, you know? Like, as much as we love Taylor, like, she's too tall to be our friend. We have one tall friend. And I do feel like it complicates things.
Who is our tall friend?
Kristin.
That's what I thought you were gonna say.
We have one tall friend.
I know, and every time we take a picture, it's just like, it's a gross inconvenience.
We're in two different pictures.
It's true, it's true.
But that's how much we love her.
She's not even tall, by the way. She's like normal, maybe a little slightly above average. Like, we are not normal. We are not normal. So I'm just really happy for my good friend Jaylen. I think Mariska Hargitay, like, I think like somebody needs to take her phone away. Like I get that she's a really big fan and I would literally lay my life out on the line for her. Like she's contributed just as much to New York City as Jalen has. And like Jalen loves her. How exciting is that? Like Jalen keeps doing interviews about how much he loves her, but like at some point it gets to a point and like Jalen Brunson is married and like she's bordering on inappropriate. So is she.
Like yeah, whatever. Where's Pete Durman in all this?
She said that, that the Knicks winning was better than her wedding to Peter Hermann. Like, where is Peter Hermann? He's being thrown under the bus.
That's where he is. I'm cracking up.
She's kind of— and then she posted like a really intimate picture of like her hugging maybe OG, or I think it was Shailene Brunson, and she like blurred out the whole background. Her Instagram's an insane place to be right now. And I just want to say, it gets to a point—
That's like Timothée saying that he'd rather the Knicks win than him win an Oscar.
Yeah.
Which I agree. Like, there's always going to be another Oscar, another movie, but like—
Another opportunity. Yeah.
For the odds of Timothée winning an Oscar are much higher than the odds of the Knicks winning a championship up until now.
Yeah.
I'm happy for Timothée. I was shocked that Kylie wasn't there, genuinely shocked.
I know. I understand her like not wanting to go to San Antonio, although there are far worse places to be than Texas.
Although she has a plane. She has a plane, like, so she could fly in and like fly out after the game. She doesn't even have to sleep there.
And you know Timothée is like not as wealthy as Kylie, so like he has to charter and share. Like I saw he flew with Fat Joe. Like, you know, if he gets to fly Kylie Air, it's just like him and maybe Stormi. Like, it's much more private.
No, and like Sydney went with Scooter and then—
And Sydney bought tickets for Scooter and his family.
Yeah, so cute. But like they've been dating shorter and like Kylie and Timothée are like Nick staples. I was surprised she didn't go. I was really surprised. Disappointed.
Wow.
Disappointed that I didn't see her, not like disappointed in her.
You know what I mean? I'm not mad, just disappointed.
But they still won. So maybe she thought they like wouldn't win and then she'd be there for the New York game. But I was surprised. I was surprised.
I don't know when the parade is. It might be today. I think it might be tomorrow. I fear I have to go.
Okay.
I'm a little afraid. And like, I wish it was like going to be like fun and family friendly and I could like bring the stroller, but like, it's not happening.
Yeah, this—
I feel like it's going to be demonic.
I don't really— I mean, we don't even know what a New York parade looks like.
We've literally never had one in our lifetimes. Yeah, it was really beautiful.
Like, I was loving the stories.
How's Ben?
I feel like I need to call him. Like, I feel like weird that I haven't called him. Like, it's his birthday, or he just like graduated. It's Ben's birthday.
The amount of time times his phone was blowing up when it was over, like people checking in on him.
I'm like, this is insane. I actually, like, I felt that way this morning. I'm like, is it weird that I haven't spoken to Ben to like congratulate him on his success? Check on him.
Yeah, he's doing really well. I think overall, like, his disposition is just so light and airy. I don't know when he's back in the cloud. Back in the cloud. Thank God.
Thank God.
Like taking up space in the cloud. And I think he loves it there. It's affecting all facets of our life. Like, he's very happy, he's very joyful, he's light. We haven't fought. Like, it's great.
That is so, so great.
Yeah, it's been really exciting. I've loved, I'm sad it's over. I'm glad it happened. I'm like kind of chasing the high of what I felt. Like I was watching soccer, like it, yeah, I felt nothing, but I was trying to, um, except when I watched Dan and Shay's national anthem. Did you hear it?
I, I saw that they sang. Where did they sing it? There was a lot of sporting events this weekend.
So FIFA World Cup is taking place like all over the country.
Yes. I do believe they're North America. Mexico too.
So I think it was at MetLife Stadium.
I have no idea.
Oh, but it was for soccer. But it was the, yes, it was the official opening game, opening ceremony. And you know, it's like the Olympics. You have to like stunt and do your whole culture. And I thought at first it was like a very strange choice to have Dan and Shay.
While I particularly love them. Dan and Shay are the culture.
Of course, no, I love them. I think they represent American music, but they're relatively unknown these days. I don't wanna say yet that they're like has-beens, but I know they're working on a comeback.
They're legacy artists. They're legacy.
They're working on their comeback. I know they've changed management and like things are going well. And I think that while maybe I wouldn't have chosen them, I've seen the, first of all, the performance was chilling, like insane harmonies, the two of them. Like I've seen it everywhere. It is so viral and I think it's been really good for them and I'm really happy for them to have this global moment. It was beautiful. And for me with the anthem, like I always have, thoughts and criticisms about the choice, but when it comes down, all I care about is the performance itself. So I could love you, I could think it was a good choice, bad choice. I am judging just your vocals. I don't care how famous you are. Once we start, we start. And this is a Hall of Fame performance. It was chilling.
Oh, amazing. I have to go listen. Yeah, truly amazing.
It was a truly amazing weekend.
Yeah, as all weekends really Mostly are. I love just the sheer fact of weekend. Gotta have more of 'em. Yeah. Oh, we had a big weekend here. Training season. Training season. Potty training season. We were supposed to do it last weekend, but we, um, got delayed due to schedule, um, interferences. So we did it this weekend and it's really, it's going.
And I, and I went into the potty.
The potty. And Claudia now can make a pee pee in the potty.
I am potty trained. I did 4 pees and 1 poop. We had a couple of accidents along the way, but I'm excited for this new cojourner, Fred, that I'm going on. And I love the potty. The potty don't start till I walk in.
I've been seeing, we've been seeing like a lot of like videos and stuff and pictures from when we were younger. We've just been like in that era of like going through stuff and like you always had your potty with you.
So I believe potty training was a particularly fraught journey for me. Um, and I actually have memories. I don't have a lot of memories from like obviously before I'm 5. I remember me in that fucking toilet.
Yeah.
That like my friend, the toilet. I remember, I think at one point it got to a place where like I, it was just not taking and I was relegated to the garage because I have a lot of memories of shitting in the garage. And I also remember being like afraid of that little toilet. I know it's like supposed to be colorful and it's not a real toilet. It's literally just like a plastic bin.
A fucking, yeah.
—feeling like afraid that I was like gonna be so close to my own like poop and pee. Like I'm like, it's right there.
I guess that's a good point.
Yeah. That's how I feel now when I go to the bathroom on a plane, I could never take a poop on a plane. It's like my poop is 3 inches from my skin. Like that's insane. Like I need a big long drop. No, and there's no drop. Like, so I remember, uh, yeah, my toilet and I, we were sort of thick as thieves.
Yeah. They're in like every picture together. She's never far from her toilet.
Like I remember it, it's the primary colors. It's like red, yellow, and blue. I remember I remember it so vividly.
Yeah, which is funny 'cause the way that we're doing it, it's like we'll only use that toilet for a couple of days and then we'll go to the big toilet.
Right, to the big boy toilet. I remember also being afraid of the toilet.
Well, a toilet is a very scary thing.
It is.
Where does it come from? Where does it go?
No, and it's like what's coming, and I should never have watched that movie Spice World where the guy climbed out of the toilet 'cause then it made me realize like not only can things go down the toilet, things can come up the toilet as well.
Yeah, yeah.
I was like, okay, a snake is coming.
Yeah, agreed. And for that I blame Spice Girls. And like we potty trained like before automatic flushes, but I imagine that's a major source of anxiety.
And you know, I've like never fully recovered since I flushed the Bentley toilet, the Jaguar keys down the toilet accidentally at the rest stop. So automatic flushes and I like, we have no trust. I think that they're, I love the sanitation element of it. Obviously we're not all like kicking or pushing down the same little flush. But beyond that, they are so flawed.
I actually think—
I like the ones where you wave.
Oh, I don't know. I feel like that's faulty technology. I think the kick flush is perfectly fine.
Yeah, I never had a problem with it.
We all kick it. We be kicking. We gotta kick it up.
Sí se puede.
Sí se puede.
I'm caught up on Love Island.
Oh, you watched last night? You were very quiet in the group chat.
I went to bed at 8:00. I watched it this morning while I got ready.
Party.
I watched Real Housewives of Rhode Island. I'm so caught up, ready to take on the week. Got 9 hours of sleep. I'm ready to go.
Okay, let's do it without—
Oh, well, okay.
Further, right? Let's get into the stories.
No, no, you're right, you're right, you're right.
You could always bob and weave. Um, but without further ado, it is time for the Fast Five Stories that you do need to know.
And you're gonna be thrilled because the Fast Five Stories that you need to know are brought to you by GU.

You're welcome.
Our first story, the Vanity Fair article about Alex Cooper Unwell and Matt Kaplan dropped on Friday called Daddy Issues: Trouble Behind the Scenes of Alex Cooper's Unwell Media Empire. Over 40 sources, including current and former Unwell employees, have spoken to Vanity Fair. About Alex's company and the man calling the shots at the Gen Z media empire, her husband Matt Kaplan.
So I was underwhelmed to say the least. People have been talking about this article for a while. When it was taking so long, I started to feel like maybe they had nothing. You're talking to so many people over months. She said she was working on this before Alex got canceled. It was just sort of like a—
Coincidence.
And I don't know if it's that juicy, like it's not gonna take that long. And then they dropped it behind a paywall on a Friday, and I was like, oh wow, they really had nothing. And I wasn't gonna read it, but you know, somebody sent me a PDF, so I did read the whole thing top to finish while I was getting my nails done. And let me tell you, there was nothing there. Like, genuinely nothing. I guess the big crime against her is that like, she's girl boss, femme queen, and her husband runs her company. And I just feel like a distinction was not made in the fact that like, her husband runs no successful part of her company. I don't think he's got a foot in Call Her Daddy. He runs all the other shit, and it's like, yeah, well, who else is gonna do it? Like, not her. She, like the article said, is like never at work, 'cause she works on one of the only successful elements of Unwell, which is Call Her Daddy.
Yeah.
I didn't think that was so crazy. And like, yeah, girls get married. Even the girl bosses get married. And it's like, yeah, relying on your partner is not a crime. I guess when you're like—
No, it's not just that they came to work for her and they're working for him. It's that he's like a toxic, horrible boss.
Well, yes, yes. So I'm talking about her crimes, like what they were accusing her of.
Well, she let her husband take over her company. Again, these girls are coming to work for her. And then she also lets her husband she's— they made sure to say at a lot of these instances where he's berating people, you know, talking disrespectfully to them, she's right there.
Yeah. Um, and I don't know, call me old-fashioned, but the workplace toxic allegations, like, don't do it for me. Those are not real allegations.
Those don't really— like, they don't do it for me so much too, cuz also they can be like so subjective. Someone's feelings got hurt, someone, you know.
Of course.
So, but that's what does it first. If someone went on Call Her Daddy and said, my boss did all these things, she would say, How dare he?
Abuse. Yeah. I think that it's like a very stereotypical, like Hollywood, like greasy guy whose wife is now like uber successful and like sort of trying to make his bones on being, you know, the big man in charge. Nothing in the article was surprising. I, I, I feel like when the journalist spent like 3 paragraphs defending her self, like, I guess like they knew the article was coming and Alex Cooper and her company like sent very, you know, strongly worded legal letters, like trying to get it to stop. There's, you really can't stop articles like this. The most famous, powerful people always like send their lawyers, but it's like, it's freedom of the press.
Mm-hmm.
Like it is what it is. And so they also were alleging that this journalist was in bed with Alex Earle because the journalist opens the whole article with this Alex Earle thing and she's weaving the Alex Earle thing throughout the article. And I'm like, oh, thank God, we're gonna find out what happened.
Even she doesn't know.
So it was like, she just kept baiting us with the Alex Earl thing, and I would have thought, you know, weeks and months and interviews, you would know, maybe we would find some resolution as to what happened. She was like, yeah, and nobody knows.
Yeah, I wasn't getting like an Alex Earl angle, I was getting more so like, she was focusing on this like mean girl thing, which is now like—
Well, Alex Cooper's like letter was alleging that this journalist was in bed with Earl because one time she like wrote a piece for Air Mail magazine.
Yeah, it was like a fluff piece, like a what's in your bag sort of thing.— That's just what these journalists do.
They have to pay their bills.
Yeah, and they like wrote a letter like, if this comes out, like, we will ruin you.
Yeah, and she's like this really young novice journalist and she was just like sort of defending herself and I was just like, why am I reading your diary? It was like, hit pieces never hit. Like, I feel like the last couple of ones, it's like, that's all you got? Remember like the long-awaited Ariel Charnas one? Like there was, oh, so she didn't know how to pronounce Vivrelle. Like, it was so, like, we've lost the meaning of hit piece.
Yeah, especially when there's so much hype for something. I feel like when it comes out of nowhere, and especially so in the last month, I think, you know, the veil has been pulled a little bit from—
Behind it.
Call Her Daddy, from Unwell, you know, let's say even 3 months ago, it was like the pinnacle of like girl boss feminism, women supporting women, fuck that man, fuck men. And slowly, like we've seen that that's like not the case, like in her personal life and behind the scenes.
The ethos of the brand that doesn't align.
Right, and so, if this had dropped then, it would've been more shocking. The man runs the company and he does it in a mean way. All of these things have been said over the past 3 months that now that you're saying them again, it's like, yeah, we know, what's new?
Yeah, welcome.
Yeah, like—
Join us.
So it never like hit in a way where it was a major shock. Now I'll also say, I think for us it's like not a major shock 'cause like people talk and like you've heard these things. But I wonder if like for her—
Fans.
Fans who listen to the, who really just like listen to her podcast, like believe every, thing that she's putting forth in the messaging. And then to see this, like, I would imagine that you're like, what? What am I— who am I listening to?
She then took a very, you know, interesting approach. She didn't directly comment or even acknowledge the piece, but she was hella active on social media this weekend, which we've talked about this while dissecting this saga at great length, is that she's really not an influencer. She does not share most of her life. Anything personal. And she's managed to get away with being like a really successful creator, podcaster, without really sharing anything about herself or her life or her personal life, which is kind of a slay, honestly. Um, and I think that either as a distraction or to sort of like garner goodwill, just like sharing she took this girls trip and just like lots of bump pictures and dogs, you know, you know you're in trouble. Um, so while she didn't directly acknowledge it. It was kind of obvious that she was just like putting shit out there.
Yeah. And that's like saying like, I don't give a fuck. Like you're not getting a statement. It's business as usual. I'm having a great time. I'm not like sitting in my house crying and stressing out about this. I think she like, she probably knew the article was dropping, so she decided to get away. That's like a good thing to do, especially like being pregnant and just like wanting to be like low stress. And yeah, cuz if she didn't post anything on Friday, which she probably wouldn't have if it was just a regular Friday. Correct. —people would be like, oh my God, she's running scared. When are we gonna hear from her? The next thing she posted would have been like a big deal, everyone reading into it. And instead it's like, it really neutralizes the bomb. And it's— it wasn't a bad bomb.
A Friday paywall, like, seriously, I'll take that any day.
Mm-hmm. I agree. But you know, when, when you don't go through like things like this often and all press about you is good press, like this, this might be the biggest bomb she's ever dealt with.
Yes, that's true. Also, what was the other thing I wanted to say? I don't remember. They touched briefly on like Sophia Gate and the article had the same title as her book.
Daddy Issues.
Which is not like the most unique, but it was weird just that it had the same title.
Yeah, I didn't really notice, but I guess that's just like the obvious title. For— or also, it's more like Unwell is Unwell.
Yeah. You know, overall, this saga, you know, Alex Earle, like, all of it, do you think it has or will have, like, an overall, like, legitimate effect on her, or no? Her business, her popularity?
No, I don't. I think so too. I think that she has, like, transcended needing, like, public approval. Yeah, and I think celebrities really like her. I think like, yeah, PR teams like her. I think they like the experience of going on Call Her Daddy. Yeah, it's a very premium experience. You get like great content, great clips. You're asked the questions that you want to talk about, and I think it like serves a need. It— she's like, oh, so almost like ascended to this level of like cable, like, or like these late night shows that actually don't have a lot of viewers, but like they serve a purpose in the larger ecosystem. And like, that's what she has, and it doesn't necessarily matter if she's popular today or not. Like, she is there, she's set.
And that's part of like her show not being about her. So like when we talk about her not sharing anything or being, yeah, it's not about you. So it kind of works. Also about her husband, 'cause like he is, he's the main topic in the article. But like nobody cares, he's not famous, like whatever.
No, but like the fact that she's like, you know, stands by for some of this stuff and is with someone who is like, who is this way, is just so incongruous with everything she's ever been.
Girl boss. Yeah.
If we're worried about like congruousness.
Yes, yes, that's true. I feel like the article and like people are, they talk a lot about Unwell and I will say like overall Unwell has like, I think certain elements of it that like do well, but overall, I don't know, they're like a podcast network, they're an events company, they make drinks, like—
They make reality TV.
Right. I think that it's actually like a poorly run company. Like, I don't think he's doing a good job. And one of the really only successful elements of it is Call Her Daddy, which like, I think she runs entirely and he doesn't.
It's not even like a successful element. Uh, it's not like Unwell built that and, um, correct. So it, it's just like the, uh, a separate entity.
Yeah. And that's why she's like, if you work for Call Her Daddy, you'll work with Alex.
Yeah. And I don't even think of Call Her Daddy as part of Unwell, which is really crazy.
Me neither. Yeah, I know.
I actually, I feel like it might not even be in some way, like it might be like licensed to Unwell, you know what I mean? But still hers because if she actually made it part of Unwell and then that's his and she actually gave him the call her dad, not just like Unwell, which is a thing that they're building together. Fine. Build it together.
Well, if they're married, like it would be half. Oh no. I guess if she started it before, right? How does it work? Yeah.
It should be hers.
Yeah. That would be bad.
That would be crazy. Them having Unwell together, 50, like that makes sense.
Sure.
They're working on it together. And by the way, he's doing a lot of work apparently.
I just feel like Unwell is like not worth the trouble. I feel like this happens a lot with like celebrity started brands where it's like, I don't know why just being a successful podcaster and building a successful media company around Just Call Her Daddy, like wasn't enough and why they had to go and do all this. They have like, I think almost 100 employees. Like that's fucking crazy. For what? Like, just be a podcaster. Like, and that's still to this day, like really what you are and like what the company is known for is Call Her Daddy. All these things, like really, was it worth the hip piece?
No, I, I don't know. But it also like allows you, if it goes well, it allows you to like not have to work so hard one day.
Yeah. But I think she likes working hard at like the thing, the one thing.
Yeah.
The, yeah. The, at the thing. Call her daddy. Her show. Her show. And yeah.
But she is also, she does a lot for like these events and stuff and like, you know, just putting like, Yeah.
No, like putting her, like for what?
I don't know. I don't, maybe—
No, like if that was me, like you would not catch me working that hard.
Maybe all of this like will make her reassess. Maybe like becoming a mother will make her reassess like, you know, where she wants to invest her time.
She's just like in too deep a little bit now to shut down operations of Unwell.
And I'm sure like so much money has gone into it because like it operates at like such a high level.
Right, and that $125 million deal she got from SiriusXM, like, is for Unwell.
Yeah.
It's to, you know, create shows. Oh, an interesting piece from the article that I didn't know was that Phoebe Gates, like, low-key drama.
Dropa?
Drama.
Oh, sorry, I thought you said low-key dropa.
The Unwell show with Phoebe Gates and her, like, co-founder, we were talking about them last week, Fia, Bill Gates' daughter. She's like this entrepreneur. If you watch Love Thy Nader, she had like a podcast. And I was saying how weird it is that like, this is Phoebe Gates, Bill Gates' daughter. One of their first guests was Kris Jenner. Like a business podcast about Kris Jenner? Sign me up. This podcast, like, can't get arrested. I see it everywhere with 3 views. Like it's just not popular. And the article was like, Unwell let us know or released a statement that like Burnouts is not coming back for season 2 while Burnouts let us know they're actively looking for a new network.
Interessant.
Yeah. Interessant.
Watch this space.
Watch this space. Weird, I feel like when we were talking maybe a few weeks ago about like what's coming up for Alex Cooper, we were talking about this big article and then Sofia's book and it would sort of be like a falling of the dominoes. I don't really feel, I didn't see a lot of people talking about it. Again, Friday dropped behind a paywall.
No, I actually didn't think I saw anyone talking about it.
I saw like a couple of, like, and a lot of people are very excited to like talk about Alex Cooper and like bring her down 'cause they think that like it somehow makes them feel better. Like, there is a huge element of jealousy from like other women, like creators. I saw like a bunch of women doing like, here's everything from the article that you— I read it so you didn't have to. There's a lot of that.
So some of them— Yeah, they're gonna like cherry-pick the things that sound the most outrageous, but like if you actually read the whole thing, there's not— and especially 'cause we have the— it was already NewTries, we knew this.
Yeah.
You know? We knew it.
Yeah, I guess there's still the book, and I feel like when we talk about Alex Cooper holistically at a glance, like her biggest crime, like if we're gonna, is Sofia.
The original sin.
It has always been Sofia, the original sin, I love that. Yeah, so I feel like when the world starts talking about that, there's much more to pick from in terms of her crimes.
Yeah, also don't forget Alex Earl's show talking about the drama.
Oh, another drama daddy, yeah.
That's really, I think that's the only thing, 'cause also as much as like, I'll like read Sophia's book, you know, support a fellow Swirly. I don't know that like the audience here wants to read a whole ass book on this.
Agreed.
They want a soundbite. Maybe someone will clip the audiobook or something, but like, this has all been done snackably and no one's reading a whole book.
Yeah, but it's also like, I don't think people care as much. People like live for the Alex Earl, Alex Cooper, like the Sophia stuff, maybe it's because like, it's so long ago, or like everyone really just took her side and I think people maybe still stand by what she did, but like people aren't as moved by that as we were.
Yeah, yeah, I agree. So that's the Vanity Fair article.
Do better. I don't even know. I also wanted to ask you one more question. Who are you talking to? Like Vanity Fair, Matt Kaplan. What do you think is the should be, like the ethics policy around writing a hit piece. That's not like, you know, if she was out here murdering or like, that's not really necessary on a pregnant person.
Pregnant woman.
Sorry, yeah, pregnant woman.
I mean, I don't, I have a different moral code than journalism.
And I feel like in terms of what was actually alleged in here, like it wasn't necessarily like need to know information.
Honestly, like, I mean, journalists gonna journal, but for me, like, this like lukewarm piece, like, didn't need to come out. And especially 'cause she's pregnant, but they don't care.
I also wanna say, like, investigating someone's whole life for weeks, talking to old friends, colleagues.
40 people.
And this is the worst? When you think about it at a glance, like, It's not like, they kind of sound like nice people. Like honestly, like that's the worst that you got. He was like yelling at other coworkers and like, yes, I do think workplace, like toxic workplace allegations are very subjective because it's like, yeah, there's a power dynamic and you can just—
These were the worst things. He made their assistant change her name because it was the same name as Alexa.
Okay, by the way, that is an old rumor started by Du Moi that Alex Cooper has actually addressed saying how absurd it is. And the article just recirculated the fact that this rumor once existed. They did not confirm or deny it. I actually feel like it's not true.
Thank you for that clarity. Asked an employee about their sex life. But like, isn't it a sex positive—
Well, you're working at the Gluck Gluck company. Like, seriously. It's Gluck Gluck Incorporated. What the fuck do you guys expect? And you guys loved that about her so much that you went to work for Gluck Gluck. Like, what are we talking about?
It's true. It's true.
It's a sex positive company.
Yeah, it is. That's like the whole point.
It's the whole point.
So yeah, I agree. So yeah, if this is like all the wind-up, I actually think like at a— yeah, if this is the worst of it all, not so bad. But you know what, I feel like for her being pregnant, like knowing this was coming, it's kind of just better to have it out, be done with it, instead of like the waiting and like the wondering what's in there. Like now she can just deal with it however she wants, and like I think sometimes like the waiting is worse.
Absolutely.
That was like Lucy in, in Tell Me Lies, not wonder— knowing when it's gonna come out.
Of course, it always comes back to Lucy.
Are you ready for our next story?
Yes.
Kyle Cook and ex Amanda Bhatula were spotted smiling and laughing together days after his bombshell People magazine interview about their split. So pictures emerged out of nowhere, paparazzi photos of like Kyle and Amanda like thriving, leaving.
I thought it was an old photo.
Um, they just look like so happy. And not to say that they're together, but like we haven't seen her smile in months. And so here's what happened. So Kyle and Amanda filmed the In the City reunion, and afterwards the whole crew went to a bar. Amanda was like with Kyle, you know, because they're friends and he's looking out for her. And then as they were leaving, Kyle said that like he made a joke to her, like, imagine the paparazzi spotted us leaving together. And as they walked out, there were cameras there, so they both started laughing.
Laughing.
And we got these funny candid photos.
Very beautiful.
Very beautiful. The lighting's amazing. She looks like truly happy.
Thank God. She actually, in like recent photos, has just been looking so depressed. Oh, I guess Wes Wilson on his podcast that nobody listens to said that he wanted the Knicks to lose on Saturday because the next game would be on Tuesday, which is when that like Summer House bonus episode airs. And so it would just be really helpful for him if everybody was watching something else besides that. And, um, Like, thank God they didn't. I guess everyone's free tomorrow.
Yeah, also Lindsay Hubbard then like got so mad. What did she say? She called him trash for like hoping people would skip their episode. I guess that does make him like a bad worker.
Bad friend, yeah. I also heard that Lindsay Hubbard is dating Dustin Lynch, this country singer.
I love that.
Did you hear that?
No, I didn't, but I'm gonna go look at it.
She went to one of his concerts, 'cause you know she like spends a lot of time in Nashville. She went to like this private concert, I don't know.
Oh, I love it. She said, "West Wilson, you are trash trying to get people to not watch our show that I brought you on." 'You should move immediately.' She said—
Slay, it's so true. This is like the show that Lindsay Hubbard built.
Brother, you get paid for that episode. Just be thankful you still have a paycheck from our show.
Ooh, slay. Not for long.
So yeah, these were like cute photos, like happy. Like I don't need it to be all bad, all hate all the time for her.
Like— No, same. Like I watched Sierra on Love Island. Like she is so in a different stratosphere. Like let the poor girl smile. Let the poor girl smile. No, you don't have to let the mouse go, but like, it's okay. Like, you know what? It's kind of now like, I stopped feeling bad for Ariana Maddix in Scandal Ball because it's like, you're so rich and famous now and you got rid of this enormous loser in your life.
No, it was—
It was win-win-win-win-win.
The best thing that ever happened to her.
It is the best thing to ever happen to Sierra. This is finally, this is a person who was never gonna get over Wes. Like literally never. But he did the thing that she can't ignore. Great. You're free, you're rich, and you're famous.
Yeah, and you sniffed out a rat in your midst too.
Oh yes. Yes.
Yeah. And it, and for sure it hurts like when it happens. And then like once like the shock wears off and, and the opportunities roll in, like, okay, let's, let's get it.
You're too booked and too busy to really think about it.
Yeah. Are you ready for our next story?
3?
Number 3.
Yep.
Emily Ratajkowski penned an essay for The Cut about, um, the end of her marriage and her single era. And she makes a shocking confession about her sex life with her ex-husband Sebastian Bear McLeod.
McLeod.
McLeod, if you thought I wasn't going to pick an article about Sebastian Bear McClard. You were wrong. And also, it's kind of tea-filled.
One thing about Jackie is she is not going to let Sebastian Bear McClard sleep.
No, I will not.
She keeps her foot on his neck.
He is so integral to the lore of this show. You would not be Turdy without Sebastian. If Emily Ratajkowski had not married Sebastian Bear McClard—
This random person.
This You would not be turdy.
And I don't think it gets talked about enough that literally last summer I met Sebastian Bear-McClard. We took a picture together. He told us that he knew about the Lord of the Podcast. Like, this show's impact is just never-ending. Like, really.
So now we're getting like more information from their divorce. I didn't realize they were married for 4 years. Like—
Yeah, it happened quickly. It was also crazy because when they met and dated and got married, she was like the hottest thing in terms of like popularity. And she, everyone was like, who will she date? Who will she date? And she dated this like fucking random nobody. And like the whole saga, like the arc of it was so strange.
It was strange, but I actually don't think he was like such a random nobody because he's tall. He's taller than her and she's tall.
And he's friends with famous people.
And he's friends with famous people and he's very handsome. And I just feel like he's an heir.
No, but like the name Sebastian Bear-McClare, like we hadn't heard it. He was not famous.
No, no, we hadn't heard it, but oh yeah, he was random.
People were shipping her with Zac Efron.
He was random in that sense.
Yes.
In terms of being unknown. But you know, the models, they like to go for like a business, like a—
Yeah.
In the background.
Remember when they like were squatting in their apartment and like refused to pay rent?
Yeah, refused to pay rent, of course.
As some sort of like political statement.
Statement, yeah.
Statement, but it's like, girl, pay your rent. We do.
Yeah, no, that was very defiant and brave of them.
Extremely.
So she said that she stopped having sex with her ex-husband 6 months after their son Sylvester was born, and then 6 months later they divorced.
Got divorced.
So yeah, it's all about, she wrote this essay for The Cut, including a photo of her breastfeeding a doll, and it's all about, you know, her divorce, her transition, and her single era. Um, it's pretty, it's pretty detailed. Detailed. Yeah, I would say so. Um, she said her marriage collapsed over a period that felt both instant and excruciatingly slow. Uh, apparently he cheated on her. That's what the source said. I think we knew that.
I think we did too.
That he's a serial cheater is what an insider said. Then she talked about, you know, being a divorced woman, dating as a single mother, what she thought it was going to be, how she went through like sort of a a big sex era. She talks about a bunch of the different guys that she dated. Um, she said there was a vegan graffiti artist, a chef who thought he might have— Bobby Flay. That's so Bobby Flay. A Spanish Gen Z-er who couldn't stop sending nudes, a heavily self-medicated son of a billionaire with questionable politics, several Italians, and of course another DJ. She said the list—
We have to go back to the billionaire son. Say it again.
A heavily self-medicated son of a billionaire with questionable politics, several Italian— oh, then comma, then there's also several Italians that she dated.
A billionaire's son.
I feel like it's like someone like the guy that Camila Cabello was just dating.
So funny, I was thinking the same thing.
Or like the one that Anna De Armas.
She dated like a Cuban, like, politician.
Son.
Son.
The son. So maybe he's a baby.
Of a dictator. He was a dictator, now that I recall.
Thank you. Yes, yes. So that was controversial.
Okay, one thing about me is like, I don't keep up with Emily Ratajkowski. Yeah.
I do keep up with Sebastian Bear though.
I feel like happy and pleasant in my life because of that decision. Like, you guys are sick of me talking about this, but I find like her whole brand of like, being a writer who always shows her boobs.
I don't look at her boobs. Don't look because she's a writer.
And I'm a feminist and a writer.
And don't look.
And breasts. Even though I'm showing you my boobs. Yeah, I am very offput by her whole thing.
Yeah.
It's not me. We don't talk enough of that she made out with Harry. It's not me, it's her. Yeah, it is her. So sorry that happened. Wishing you well. Good luck. Good luck.
You would actually, there are a lot of like bits and bobs in this article you would hate it.
You would actually hate it. Yeah, I feel like when her book of essays came out, like it was floated to me like, you should read that book. And it's like, I actually should not.
No, you should not. You should not listen to that podcast.
Speaking of, I still have Lena Dunham's book unopened on my nightstand. It is on my list of things to do. I feel pretty good about the fact that like the hoopla's over. So like whenever I pick it up, I pick it up. Nothing's gonna get spoiled. Like it's all good.
Yeah. Speaking of people that we love, Molly Mae and Tommy Fury had a boy and the name was revealed at his big fight this weekend. And the name is Midas.
It's actually crazy. So many things. One, that both of their babies have been born like around the time, I don't think he fights that much.
Yeah.
Around the time of a big fight.
Right.
Which is just like really inconvenient.
Or maybe he like spends the whole time that she's pregnant like training so that he's like.
Right.
And then he's like, oh, I come looking for a fight.
Two, it's crazy that she went to the fight wearing a bodycon white dress 2 weeks after giving birth.
No, no, that's crazy.
I don't know which part is crazier, like the bodycon or the white.
I think the bodycon is crazy and like, I just, it's just like so not the Molly that we know, you know?
It's not necessary.
It's not necessary. And it's like, I would love to know more about that moment and that choice.
Maybe we'll see it on season 3.
I think that we will.
Call me maybe.
And she'll be yelling at everyone while she tries to find a dress. I know that we will, and that's why we love her. And she'll be like crying and she can't find something to wear, and she's like, probably when, and she was so miserable.
And their name, they did have a son by the way, not a daughter. And the name is Midas.
So let me think about it now. What I did realize is they all have 5-letter names. Molly, Tommy, Bambi, Midas.
So it— Oh, was that a thing?
For them. I don't think it was a thing until they must have realized, and now, Midas really does fit. Now people have said like, you know, the lore of King Midas is like not an amazing story. It's kind of cursed. It's not an amazing story. But what does the name Midas mean? Mighty?
I think it means gold. Also, I just wanna quickly circle back to—
Does it mean gold or like King Midas just liked gold? Everything he touched turned to gold. Everything he touched. But that doesn't mean the name Midas means gold.
Yeah, yeah.
He's a legendary king in Greek and Roman mythology, famous for being granted the ability to turn everything into gold. But it wasn't a good thing. Like, he turned his daughter into a statue.
I just want to really quickly go back to something I said about Lindsay Hubbard dating Dustin Lynch, because I'm not caught up on In the City. Apparently she talked about on the show, said they made out. So like, I wasn't just making that up, it was legit.
And why not like pursue it further?
I'm not sure.
So taking out like, you know, the end of the King Midas story, I like, if you just look at the name Midas, you know, M-I-D-A-S, I like it.
I guess the theme of their baby names is like more mythical creatures. Like that's a good theme.
It works with Bambi. Bambi and Midas, so cute.
I think in the States somebody might not use the name Midas 'cause it's a brand of tires. But that doesn't fly.
Is that different from Mavis? Midas?
Yeah, Midas Tires. And their slogan is, "They've got the Midas touch." Okay, Midas Tires near me. You don't know Midas Tires?
Are there Midas? Are you sure it's Midas, not Mavis?
I'm like 100% sure.
Midas.com, tires for sale.
Or it's like an auto shop.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, perhaps in the States they would not, but, um, yeah, very, very happy for them. Like, mazel tov. I'm really— that was so shocked that she went to the fight.
Yeah, same. I hope she's home resting, cozy nesting.
It looks like she was, like, based on her stories. Can't wait for next season of Behind the Scenes or whatever. What's it called? I don't know. Behind It All, maybe, is her— is her brand. Call Me Maybe. I think it's called like Behind It All. Behind It All, something like that. Are you ready for our next story? What number?

Our next story, Keke Palmer and Sean Evans fuel romance buzz with a New York City date. So after we discuss the potential of these two possibly connecting, Keke Palmer further fueled dating rumors after being spotted on a date with Hot Ones host Sean Evans in New York City. According to TMZ, the duo were seen having dinner at Italian restaurant Lucali in Brooklyn on Friday night.
No, I'm scared. Like, I really worry that he, like, she doesn't like him, 'cause we know he likes her. Like, he's been so forward. And so it's really about whether she likes him. 'Cause once she likes him, we're good. And you always wanna be in the situation as a woman, like the man is chasing, like you are playing hard to get. I love. I really hope she likes him. I don't know why I'm scared. I have a lot riding on this. There's two ships right now that I'm on. And I'm really hoping set sail. This is one of them. And then Brett Goldstein, Jennifer Lopez, I'm also like really riding for. So I just have a lot invested in this as a Keke Palmer number one fan. So I'm scared.
I feel like she's gonna like him. I feel like they like each other. So I just hope like, you know, everything else that it takes in order to form a relationship sort of clicks in.
Yeah, I feel like this is a little bit of a departure from her usual type. And I think this is also the first time she's been in like a public, relationship where the other person is famous too. So I hope she likes the experience. Like, I hope she likes everything. I hope, you know, the person who like took a picture didn't ruin it. Like maybe she hates this. Like maybe she's never really had, and the one time her relationship was public was when like her man was saying something about what she wore to the Usher concert. Like I'm scared.
Right, right, right. No, I think it's good to try something different in general. Like try something new. And I, I'm wishing them the best.
I just know he would like treat her like a queen.
And also like, this is what we asked for. Just go on a date, see what happens. So like, they did that. And who even knows, maybe it's not their first date, right?
So, so, so, so I'm nervous. I'm excited but nervous.
Yeah, excited but nervous. Like optimistic, cautiously. I don't want to put pressure on them.
No, of course not, of course not.
Well, never, never. But what do you feel like?
I feel like Keke Palmer, I feel like you and I have like a list of people. Remember we were always talking about like our dream guests or like people who we love and you know, it kind of ebbs and flows. Some people you love and then you like get over them. I feel like Keke Palmer is such like a mainstay on our favorites. Mm-hmm. Like we've been favoriting her for like ever. Mm-hmm. Yeah. This is a nice feeling. She's a stable force in our lives.
Yeah, she is. And it's just, it's not a phase.
And she's the only person to ever make it off the dream list.
It's not a phase.
It was never a phase. Mm-hmm. No, no.
Okay, let's get into our fifth and final story in Love Island recap because we have some news coming out of After Sun. Love Island USA's Sean Reifel reacts to Mayer's comments after leaving the villa.
I felt sick. I felt sick. And I have to say, one thing about me is I'm not gonna watch After Sun. That's— I've never— I'm never gonna— I've never watched After Sun. To me, like, the day off that they give us is too important. Taking that day off and I have to catch up on sleep, on email, I have to eat.
Like, I just can't. I will be watching any relevant clips or reading the article.
Absolutely. So I saw like, you know, some things Béa said. I saw, yes, the mayor. I saw the pertinent clips, but I'm sorry, I cannot physically devote more time.
But it also seems like the strategy this year for After Sun is like, when the person comes out of the villa, let's like tell them like the lore of what's going on on social media and get their reaction because they did that for Sean and Béa.
I saw a clip of Béa's sister telling her that everybody on the internet thinks she's a lesbian.
Yeah, so I think we're gonna get like a lot of that from After Sun, which is like good content. So first, Sean reacts to the video. He— they film him like watching the video of the mayor, which we've discussed at length, of the mayor saying how disappointing it is that they've trained up this guy and that he would go on Love Island and the police force is competing with Love Island.
And he was so confused. He was like, what are you talking—
I literally did what I was told. Yeah, so he said, um, sorry, this is Sean's comments. Sean said—
What did Sean say?
He said, I guess he's upset. That's interesting. I definitely had to sit down with my job and told them exactly where I was going and what was happening, and they asked me to put in for unpaid leave. It does bother me because they just before I left gave me awards for like with my partners taking a lady out of a building on fire and talking someone off a roof that was mentally ill. So it's like, give— to give me those and then do something like this, I just don't understand. Or, you know, the mayor would say like, you got those and then you, you went on Love Island. But okay.
Are you the mayor?
No, I just like— you sounds like you're an amazing police officer, like seriously. And you gave all of that up, what, to spit in someone's mouth? And like be the first person sent home. And like the better officer that you are, like the worst decision, the worse the decision seems to leave it to go on Love Island.
I will say it definitely does sound like a lapse in judgment.
Like you should tell us that you were the worst police officer, that you didn't have a knack for this.
That it wasn't a fit.
It wasn't a fit and you wanted to try something new because then I would understand. But like you were amazing.
You left behind such a legacy.
You were saving lives.
How many lives were lost while you were there? You went to Fiji. 1,000%. Um, it was really sad. Like, I can't think too hard about Sean. It really makes me upset.
It does. And like, I'm, I'm upset that I'm upset too, because I'm like, no, he had to go. Like, he is a father, first of all. And by the way, I'm going to judge all parents equally and not equally, but like, I'm, I'm judging the dads as much as I'm judging the moms. Like, to go on this show that is so vulgar so like not family friendly. So like you don't even want your parents to see you doing this. And like to do that with a child in the world, I just think it's like, really? There are so many other shows he could go on if you really—
I agree. Like, I'm not— I just wanna say I'm not judging the same as women. Sorry. No, I'll judge them. I'll judge them harsher.
I will. But I'm judging the fathers harshly as well.
Of course. Yeah. No, it's disgusting. And the thing that I'm realizing about this show is that I feel that I am very easily manipulated by the editing of it. And I think that there's, so much footage that it really makes it very easy for the editors to just like show us what they want. And it's crazy how like in one episode they have me hating Béa and then the next episode like they made me like her.
I never hated her.
I really did. I feel like I'm very easily manipulated by them. And so like maybe, you know, Sean is a great guy, maybe he's not. Like I really don't know. And that's why like the voting, having us vote and then watch an episode and then one more, like, when the results come in. It's like, it's so manipulative because they show us one thing to get results, and then they show us something else that fuck up those results, you know?
Yeah.
We all voted for Jen and Gabriel, and everyone seems confused as to why Jen and Gabriel would be put up as a couple. And it's like, well, you made us hate Béa, and then you only show Jen talking to Gabriel.
But it's like, and we didn't know that that would— meant Béa would go home. But it's like, yeah, Jen, like, see, but who else will be voted Jen for now? If we had known how it was going to go down, we could have voted Jen and Corbin because that is what now everyone's saying we should have done.
Well, yeah, but they, they knew how to manipulate us.
And also, like, so we had 3 people who were vulnerable. We've never had one of the vulnerables then ask the other to be in a couple. Like, they did that to make Melanie and Corbin a couple in front of Sol and Sincere's face and, like, keep the story moving. We are not in control. The producers are in control because even if, even if we coupled up Jen and Corbin, which would've only made Melanie vulnerable. She would not have been sent home. She would've been single in the villa. It's whatever they want. I, so like, it genuinely doesn't matter. And America voting in that was the same as if the bombshells got to pick their new partners, which is what they usually get to do. They usually get to pick their partner. Jen would've picked Gabe. We didn't do anything crazy. The only time it was crazy was when we put Iris with Jeremiah, who was like iconic in a series.
Iconic. One of the best things you've ever done.
But like, of course, Sol would've picked Santiago. Sincere. So the America vote, we didn't really fuck anything up. We did what would have happened organically.
Yes, and you're right, the show really rewards craziness. Um, so Melanie was never going home, even though like Melanie's not even my number one opp right now. Like, she is definitely a crazy person, a very emotional person, really immature. But Sincere is a genuine bad guy. I like— this is— I Hate.
Hate.
Sincere.
And like, Sole like makes me so sad.
I feel so strongly for her.
Every time she's on my screen. When she's on my screen, fuck this villa.
First of all, the girls are bitches. Yeah, they are. And seriously, Kenzie is the only one who sat her down and was like, by the way, and I think it must have been worse in the villa than we realized because Kenzie to go out of her way and be like, I just wanna let you know, like if you need someone, I'm here if you are, that means she had no one to talk to. And I think while her and Jen came in together, like Jen's not having the same experience as her. So it's hard for her to relate, and I don't think that there's like a lot of depth in their friendship. She has no one. All the girls are so fucking up Melanie's ass. Like, sorry, Anaya, you were my favorite, loser. Um, Trindy, loser. Like, the way they're so obsessed with Melanie, and it's like, Melanie this, Melanie that. It's like, girl, what are you talking about? And I'm sorry, Béa was the only one who was like holding Melanie accountable.
Yeah, and when Béa said like they're plying Sol for all these things that they should be plying Melanie for.
Plying Melanie for.
And like the plying thing, It gets to a point, this show is so humiliating.
Yeah.
Like, and even in the challenge that we watched last night when they're having like the ketchup and the mustard— Yeah, hot dogs. Throwing it in their faces.
Hot dogs.
And the hot dogs, like they actually want to seriously embarrass these people. It's real. And they have such a good attitude about it, but I can understand why if it's your first day, you're already feeling ostracized and now everyone's like telling you we hate you and here's pies in your face. Like it's actually something out of like a '90s high school—
Yeah. Humiliation, hazing.
Yeah, it's a hazing, and I don't know why they— the producers want to humiliate the contestants like this. I— it just is so awkward. Like, I can't even imagine, like, Sierra and Tefi, like, watching these girls get, like, pied in the face. Like, who is that empowering?
So also, um, yes, 1,000%. This is reminding me a lot of last season where, like, the OG villagers have this, like, really toxic bond with one another because, yes, everyone was piling Soul for shit that should have been in Melanie's fucking face. And the fact that not every single person dumped their slime on Sincere is how you know the show is fucking rigged. He got slimed like literally once, maybe twice, when every question was about him.
Yeah, yeah.
I hate him.
Wait, and I just want to say, like, Soul and Sean—
Soul and like literally anyone. I'm sorry, these guys are just disgusting. First of all, I'm— I— there's now It's funny how they, they really can make you love or hate. I hate everyone now. Zach saying that thing in bed, like, Kaita now I think likes him more than he likes her. Him being like, I don't know if we should do stuff because like, what if someone comes in? It's like, who's thinking like that?
I— well, I think what he meant— and I— he's like saying all the wrong things and like, uh, yeah, and he doesn't deserve her, someone who's like so committed to him and like isn't looking left or right. But I think what he meant is like, someone could come in and it's out of our control if we couple up with them, just like how America put sincere and soul in a couple. Like, he could— one of them could wind up in a different couple just based on how the game goes, not even because that's what he wants. And it— will it not be weird? Like, try— and apparently now if you're in a new couple, you have to say goodbye to the person you used to like and, and make a go of this. Like, that's new. So yeah, say he wound up— one of them wound up in a new couple and they have to make a go of it, and like America's breaking up Zach and Kaida. Oh. Would that not be weird if they've had sex? I think it was like a stupid thing because it's like, even if America breaks you up, like, you—
what you would say is, I'm not having sex with anyone.
And you could also say like, I'll fight for you until we're back together because there will be another recoupling. They'll have a choice again. And like, even if I wound up with someone else, like, I'm coming back to you.
Yeah, Kenzie's pissing me off. Like, everyone's pissing me off.
What's up with Kenzie? She's so weird. Like, She doesn't talk to anyone about her feelings. Like the girls, first of all, like we have no idea what's going through her head. And she's like really struggling between these two connections. No, she's not struggling.
She doesn't even like Caleb.
No, I—
So they need to send someone for Caleb ASAP.
They do. Caleb and Sol. I think—
No.
Caleb, like her head is telling her Caleb, like it's what she's like—
It's obvious.
She's into and he's very nice and he very much likes her. And, but like her heart and her vagina are telling her Corbin. She like really likes Corbin.
Corbin is so creepy. Can I get a kiss? Can I get a kiss?
I can understand, Corbin, you want a kiss. There are other ways to go about it than saying, can I get a kiss? Like even use other words like, may I—
Yes, you know, he uses the same sentence.
May I kiss you?
I would love to kiss you right now. He is so spooky to me. And even when he's talking about real stuff, he's like, I'm a videographer, like kinda. What? What do you do for work?
Oh my God.
He's like, I know, I know, I knew. And he was like, I've always been really creative. Like when I was a kid, we had this art box. [LAUGHTER] And she's like, wow, really? He was like, yeah, and it makes sense 'cause now I'm like creative. Like I do like videography kind of. And she's like, no way, that's perfect. 'Cause like, he's like, I like to make movies. She was like, I like to write movies.
Who likes to write movies?
Melanie. She was like, and I love to do like, she was like, I love to do like storyboards. He was like, oh wow, we're like yin and yang. 'Cause like I need a videographer. And I'm like, I thought you just said you were a videographer. Is this a job interview? It was deadass art box. It was one of the craziest conversations. And I feel for, I don't feel for anyone, I take that back. Like I hate all of these people.
I only feel for Sol. Like I'm genuinely going to cry tears soon for Sol.
For Sol. I got very, very close when she was like, man, fuck this villa. When right after she got pied by Zac. And I feel bad for Zac 'cause I don't think he was like intending to, he was sort of like the straw after like a bad day. But like nobody knows her. So it's like, how are you even pieing her? You haven't taken 3 seconds to get to know her. Even Casey, who was like one of the only people interested in talking to her, didn't. So it's like quite literally no one is even acknowledging her, but they all like her too.
Yeah, and I mean, she's like amazing to look at.
Like, I love her. Like, I feel so sick. And you know what, I hope she shows not one fucking ounce of loyalty to any of these girls. Go for Casey. Yeah, go for Sincere. Go for everyone, because not one of them has given her the motherfucking time of day. She does her makeup alone. She cries alone. Fuck these girls.
Seriously. No, So, so upset.
I'm really disappointed in a couple of them. Like Trinity, I thought she was nicer than that, honestly.
She always looks like she's on the verge of tears.
Who wouldn't be?
It's really hard to watch. And now she's like with Sincere, who's such a piece of shit.
Ugh, I wanna throw— she, by the way, she's too good for the shit on his shoe. I hope she runs from him.
And like he is lying to everyone, like saying, I'm not exploring, talking to Sol, I'm so happy to be with you. And then saying to, you know, I wish I wasn't with her. It's really disgusting. He has lost all credibility to me. He's so insincere. It's insane that that's his name.
It's also interesting that he doesn't realize that he's the villain, 'cause there was a question in the challenge which was like, who do you think America dislikes or something? Who's the villain? And they poured it on Bryce. I'm like, okay.
Oh, why? Because like Bryce spoke to Kaida?
And it's like they have no idea. Like, sincere.
Yeah, I actually haven't been like following along on Twitter so much because like the episodes end so late and I just go to sleep.
Um, but what— Love Seoul, it's devastating. It's devastating. It's actually like on a human level like very hard and sad to watch.
I need the producers, but they won't do anything kind to anyone because they're actually like evil individuals. But I need them to—
I know she just feels so alone.
I need them to go into the hotel of bombshells and waiting in their rooms and grab Sean. No, and grab like the perfect person for Soul.
Oh, I was thinking that too. There's a couple of people, like, I think that once you're in the bombshell like hotel, they ask you— I think they show you pictures of the contestants. You watch the show. You watch the show.
Oh, do you? Yeah, up until a point. I think you see like up until like 2 days before you go on or whatever.
So they know who's coming in, like with eyes for X. And so yeah, they need to bring someone hot as fuck in for Soul.
And nice and kind-hearted.
And you know what, they actually need to bring someone in for Melanie too, so we can— so nobody likes Sincere.
Well, no, she likes Corbin.
Corbin likes Kenzie.
Does he? He does like Melanie, but like, does he— is he like capable of like—
I mean, robots need love too.
I know, I just feel like he doesn't have like a lot of feelings. It's It's crazy that him and Kenzie are like so connected and that they can't quit each other.
AI chatbots need love.
Yeah, Kenzie is like very surprised. She's not—
Surprising.
Yeah, and I like her too, but it's weird. I feel like I don't know her at all.
She was supposed to be like our, you know, designated Southern sweetheart, and she's kind of messing everything up because her and Caleb are obviously like were meant to be put together. I think the show thought that they would. And so now he's sort of left and he's not making any other connections.
No, and he's like so mature. I do understand that he's 21 and like that's weird for her because that's really young.
It is.
But like, it's just the villa, you know? None of you guys are gonna be together after this. I just want you to know, like— Don't worry, it's not that serious. Zero. How many couples are still together from last season? Just Iris and TJ.
TJ, and they weren't even like barely together on the show.
Yeah, and I mean, I'll say— Oh, and Nicolaesia. Yeah, like, oblige. Nicolandria, but like, that's not a couple.
Obligatory nicolandria.
That's a business arrangement.
I just wanna say, I also, I need them to send someone in who's like number one choice is Bryce. I feel like he has a lot of love to give and nowhere to put it. Like Trinity does not like him.
They're very confusing. And I also feel like you can tell a lot from a couple by like what they do at night. Like, do they kiss? Do they cuddle?
Of course.
And Bryce and Trinity, like they make out.
Do they?
Yeah. And then also I think Beia said on After Sun, she really likes him. Like, they are very much into each other.
But it's like, you know, I'm glad to hear that.
But like, it is weird when every conversation is like, do you like me? Show me you like me. From both of them. Both of them feel like the other doesn't like them.
Something's not working.
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what it is. And then also, like, with Bryce and Kaita, like, yeah, that was cringe. But like, I saw a tweet that was like, he did it in a respectful way. He like— and I understand what he's saying, which is like, you know, if he winds up single or like something happens, You do have to try and, and, you know, go down every path. So like, he looked down there and she said no, and great.
I just wanna say, I don't know if I'm alone in this, I had not one problem with him doing that. He did it so respectfully. That's exactly what you're supposed to do. And like, everyone in the village is just annoying because they like encourage people to explore and then they get mad at people who explore. It's like, which fucking one do you want? And Zach and Keita, they're— every single one of their problems would be solved if they just closed off. Yeah. And it's him who won't, and it gives me pause, and I think it's a red flag.
Yeah, well, they're going to the hideaway. I wonder if they'll seal the deal.
And like, if you go to the hideaway and have sex and you still don't close off.
Well then, that's on you, girl, you know?
Okay, yeah.
You know, like.
Yeah.
So maybe they'll have sex and then close off.
And I was getting the vibe that like, she was so excited to have sex and like, he wasn't.
Oh, well, also the producers want us to think that he's gay for Brett. Okay, because the audience—
I would love that.
The audience is like, you know, shipping the two of them. Shipping. You've seen the edits, Zach and Bryce. And also they do have like a best friendship in the house. Even the girls walk past, they're like, it's everyone's favorite bromance. Like they do have like a special friendship and now producers like see that, so they're like showing us more of that. They showed us like Zach with the hot dogs like very closely. Um, they're really trying to like play up, like play into that, that Zach is gay.
I thought that like they were into one another, like, I would say like, yeah, like, that's an exciting plot twist, let's do it. I don't think that they are, so like, let's stop wasting our time.
I think like having them seem like— having him seem like reticent about sex with Kaida like feeds into—
It's because he's thinking about Bryce.
Zach and Bryce are the Nicolandria of this season.
Yes.
Like the unlikely two who people are shipping. I'm— I— you've seen that, yes?
Yes.
And now producers are playing into it.
Yeah.
So maybe— I think it's fake. Maybe he does.
I think it's fake, much like Nicolandria.
Yeah, I think they're just friends, but then people are like finding all this stuff from his social media that's like—
Yes, I actually did see a couple of things from Zach's social media that were leaning queer.
Yes. Yes. So it's not impossible. Maybe it's not so fake. Yeah. Or like, or even when Kaita was like, I'm so excited to go to the Hideaway with Zach and have all of his attention. He was, you know, like Bryce won't be there. She literally said that. Oh, but I also feel like it could be like producers being like, people are like making a lot of jokes about their friendship. Like make a joke. Yeah. But they're definitely, although I don't know how— They play into like fan theories a lot.
It's annoying 'cause the fans are dumb. Yeah. Sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's just straight up dumb.
Yeah, and like—
And it's like, why don't you play into like the fan theories of like bringing Shawn back? Like that's the type of shit we like. Sending Melanie home, fan theory.
Getting Sincere out of there. Actually, I don't want Melanie to go home yet.
No, no, I actually, right now my problem is not with Melanie, it's genuinely with Sincere.
She's a genuine crazy person. I'm not fatigued of her yet. Like with Huda, it got to a point that like it was not good. It was— there was evil among us. But Melanie still has like much to give to this villa. I don't want her to go. I agree. And even if— even if Corbin and Jen had coupled and she was vulnerable, I wouldn't say send her home. I'd say yes, she should be single and be, you know, this, this dramatic element in the villa. Eventually though, you know, if she fails to grow and it's just so cyclical and we're watching the same thing over and over again, then it's time to go. And that's what happened with Huda, but she never went.
But she never went.
So it's not Melanie's time. I don't feel that way. Like, she is good for television. 'Cause I'm having— It's sincere time. I'm having strong feelings. It's sincere time. He should not be allowed to like speak to women in the villa and like get any one of these beautiful women's time.
He's an actual, like, he's a danger. I hate him.
I hate him. And I gave him like so much leeway. I really did.
I gave him so much, you know, time, my heart, my energy, you bitch.
Yeah. And then also Beatriz has reacted to speculation about her sexuality. She was FaceTiming with her friend. Her friend was like, "Bro, these bitches swear that you're gay. It's a big thing on the internet." And she clapped back saying, "Athletes are always put in that box. Like, if you're a female athlete, you're probably gay." She said, "I'm just a tomboy. Let me live my life.
I love dick, please." I know, and I thought like a lot of it was a stretch, but like so many sneakers that like, it gets to a point with the Jordans and the dress. But also I feel like because she's an athlete and it's probably— I don't know if this is like okay to say, like more prevalent to like be gay in her field that like if she was, she would be.
Oh, I don't think it was for like when I saw people saying that, I wasn't thinking about like the sneakers or the athleticism. I felt like it was her personality.
I thought it was like a lot the sneakers, like for real, like, but then I think also like you have to consider the fact that like it's probably more comfortable when you have a prosthetic leg.
Of course.
That like what I have to be like, it's hard enough to wear heels when you don't have a prosthetic leg.
No, she was just like, you know, very much like one of the guys sort of. And I guess that's what she's saying when you're an athlete, like people just think of you that way. It's sort of like the conversation she was having with Melanie too, where it's like, they just see me as one of the best.
The bad about not being soft.
Because I can play football with them and like Melanie can't.
And Melanie's like, I'm so jealous. Like I wish I could throw a ball.
Craziest, worst conversation.
So many backhanded compliments.
That was the worst conversation ever.
I would've liked to be at a stay for a lot of reasons. One, I got like very upset with her conversation with Gabriel. Like I think that them, I don't know if they're being forced to speak in English, but I think that it definitely like hindered his ability to like share his feelings. And he said like, I'm just much more able to speak from the heart when I speak my own language. So when they said goodbye and it automatically started talking Spanish, like I got like really choked up and I wasn't even such a believer in their love. I thought like maybe he didn't even like her. But now the way he's so quickly with Jen, he definitely didn't like Béa.
No, I think he liked her. I think he likes everyone and loves everything. Yeah, he's a lover. He's just like, DTF.
He's a lover.
Yeah, I think he loves women. I think he loves women.
I love him, I just wanna say. He's getting a bad rap for being freaky and maybe not having liked Béa, but that goodbye was hella emotional. And I just wanna say, Béa being like, guys, come down, I'm not dying, when everyone started crying. She was the only one, and like, I hate that they made me hate her because I feel like all the OG girls like have a really tight friendship except Béa like hates Melanie, and we need sort of more conflict amongst the girls, not just like isolating the bombshells.
She was the only one holding Melanie accountable, like actually.
Actually.
And Béatrice and Trinity were very close because Trinity is very upset.
Trinity can't stop crying, yeah. I think Melanie and Kenzie are like starting to drift, but like this core girl group from the original villagers, like, being so toxically loyal to one another. It's really starting to piss me off. Like, when I said I wanted the girls to be mean to each other, this is not what I meant.
No, me neither. Me neither.
Like, steal each other's man.
Yeah, don't be afraid. I'm glad that Sol and Casey are talking.
And then, and then— That's what I was gonna say.
Zach, Casey, Anaya. The challenge.
Oh, so once again, like, Zach is being honest. And I don't really have a problem with him. And yeah, I guess they showed us like one time when he was like, "Oh, Sole looks like my ex." But I guess it was like more of a thing that he had wanted to talk to her and decided not to. And yeah, Zac is kind of being like Ace, like last season being sort of the villa police. And it's a little annoying, it's getting to a point.
No, but he was asked.
He was asked, yes.
The Casey thing is not the same thing to me as the Sole thing, 'cause I don't even remember what she was accused of, but it's like, you don't know this person, why are you piling on her again? Men. Um, but, and it's, it's funny because if anybody else had been asked the question, if it wasn't Zach, they would have done it to Zach because like he does think he's won. He has the strongest couple there, and that's fair. Yeah. Um, so when he dumped it on Casey, and like, and he didn't jump in on Anaya, so like if he had dumped it on, right, like that would be wrong, but like to dump on a fellow guy, who cares? And I guess he was a little tea spilled. I don't think he realized when he was like, you know, you wanted to talk to Sol and you didn't because like you think—
I don't think Anaya knew that.
Yeah, she knew that like he was her type but didn't know that. And you know what, I'm glad to see like the strong couples, because if you're that strong, like a wrench thrown into your coupling, like how can you dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge that wrench? And Zach and Kaitlyn will have wrenches thrown at them at some point. I also think like the Hideaway, some things will come up. But it's also interesting that they got the Hideaway like right after they sort of like took a big— Because would Casey and Anaya have gotten the Hideaway?
I just wanna say, I think that Casey and Anaya will make it through. I will, I do. I don't have a good feeling about Zack and Kada, more so Zack. There's something really weird about him to me. And I don't think he is appreciative enough to be with a girl who's so fucking hot and loves him so much, like it's a dream.
Yeah.
He doesn't seem content. Um, she's like so into him when, to be honest, like, I'm sure literally if she wants to be with any guy in the villa, he would leave their connection for her. Like, she's definitely one of the hottest in the villa, and like, I don't know, Bryce— In a second, I just don't like him anymore.
Kaden needs to get a little smarter, and she needs to start playing games too.
She's like lovesick. She's got puppy dog eyes.
She can't see anything. She gives him like whatever he wants, you know. She doesn't give him a hard time about stuff, and she needs to make him work for it a little bit. And she's not not being smart enough, and she— that's how you get hurt. And like, I don't— I'm not one for games in general, but like, he is not deserving of her unbridled love and affection, and she needs to bridle it a little bit in the challenge. She needs to start flirting with other guys and making him jealous and being like, well, you don't want to close off, and so I'm gonna, you know, talk to people because we're not closed off, and make him sick.
They did confessionals as couples during the challenge, and Zach actually said something like hella derogatory towards her and she just like laughed it off. They were talking about how he was trying to get the ball up her body and couldn't do it, so they switched and she got the ball up his body. He was like, and it worked because she's used to being down there. That's how you fucking talk about your girl? Like, I don't know, I'm getting really bad vibes from her. I just want to say I don't like him.
Yeah, I feel like it's producers trying to make us think that he doesn't like her and he likes Bryce, just so you know. So like—
Got it, but I feel like that derogatory comment has nothing to do with Bryce.
Yeah, no, no, I know. Um, but if there are like wonderful Reginae moments where he's constantly affirming her, and that's why she's so happy. They're not gonna show us. They're not gonna show us.
Maybe, okay, maybe I'm like once again getting swept up in the fucking producers because I'm so easily manipulated.
Yeah, but she needs to get smart, like.
Yeah.
Because—
And I feel like she came in with this sort of like edge to her, and like she wasn't easy to read.
And now she's like the happiest, bubbliest girl on the planet. She's so pretty, it's like—
She's in love. Like, she's literally in love.
I know, but like, you could— she's so close to like, you know, sealing the deal with him. But she's gonna have to work for it a little bit.
And like, you know, she's got to be a little bit more hard to get.
She's gotta make it happen for herself.
Yeah.
So I don't know, maybe he'll fall in line. Let's see what happens after the Hideaway. And if they close— if they do have sex, like they should close off, but they won't.
