In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex Espinoza explains why a strong month of business results should be studied before it shapes bigger commitments or spending. He describes how payment timing, one unusually large project, or a newly working change can make sales look better than they are.
He also points to delivery costs and unpaid expenses, which affect what the business actually keeps. Listeners will hear his suggestion to review both the numbers and the workload behind them, and to compare results over time before taking on recurring costs.
The episode offers a practical framework for celebrating a win while deciding what to repeat.

Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together. Remember, I have your 6. Get ready to level up right now. What's up everyone? Welcome back to the Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex, and today we're talking about what happens after a good month. Sales improve, money comes in, you finally feel like the work is paying off. Enjoy that. But before you build a whole new lifestyle around the result, Ask a question. Do you understand what made the month good? When I talk to someone who wants to build a business, I want them to know their numbers and how consistent those numbers are. A strong result can give you confidence. Understanding the result helps you decide what to do next. Those are both useful. The problem is when the excitement moves faster than your understanding. Look at what actually happened. Did several customers pay at once? Did one unusually large project come through? Did a change in your approach help?
What did it cost to deliver the work? Some of the money may need to cover expenses that haven't been paid yet. Some of the demand may be temporary. Find out before treating every dollar as money you can freely spend or assuming the same month will repeat. Then decide what deserves to continue. If a message brought the right customers, learn why. If your team delivered more efficiently, understand what changed. If the month depended on exhausting yourself, consider whether the business can handle that level of work again. You can celebrate and still ask hard questions. In fact, a good result gives you something useful to study. Don't rush past it on the way to the next target. Before taking on a bigger recurring expense, look at what the business has shown over time. Give yourself room for an ordinary month too. Confidence should help you make a clear decision. not stop you from checking one. Bottom line? A good month is a reason to pay attention. Learn what worked, understand what you kept, and see what you can repeat. Let the result help you build a stronger business. You don't need to prove you succeeded by immediately spending everything the success brought in.
