00:03:13

What.

00:03:27

We start in Nashville where under coach Shane Steichen's cool aide QB Daniel Jonestown has the Indianapolis Colts leaving bodies in their wake. Jonathan Traylor showed off his wheels running for 102 yards and three touchdowns and Tyquan Lewis Hamilton said F1 sack, I want two as the Colts ran over the Titans all afternoon long. Someone get Cam, hospital ward and offensive line before we lose the young promising QB. Also Anthony Richardson. Clayton didn't do anything bad. Colts roll 41 20.

00:04:05

We head to Raoul John, Maryland where Jaden Daniel's knee is going to be fine and no one is worried about it at all and it's doing great and it's fine. Meanwhile Marcus there's something about Mariota has a little more white in his hair than he used to and Jecory Crosky Meritocracy said it doesn't matter where I got drafted. Get ready to learn Bill Buddy the Commander's old mercenaries looking like the Bobby Wagner group as Theo Von Miller had. People saying there's no way he's actually that old is he? Major Tutty had a Trey Tucker giving him the old Tuk Tuk 9000 going real deep on the hog for a very easy completion while Skeet Carroll had more trouble using the shotgun in D.C. since Dick Cheney and Dan Marino. Quinn was all over the white lines and ended up getting a nosebleed as he avenges his loss to teams that Tom Brady leads by cheating. Commanders 41, the Raiders 24.

00:05:03

You okay?

00:05:03

Boom.

00:05:04

Five teachers alright, we head to the.

00:05:07

Battle of the booth in Tampa Bay where Memes and Zach were on the scene for the first ever dual boomer in Tampa Bay.

00:05:18

The Buccaneers take on the New York.

00:05:20

Jets jets jets with the opening score.

00:05:23

Nickelback folks boots an absolute picture perfect.

00:05:27

Photograph Field goal through the uprights to set the tone, but fear not police Chase McLaughlin avoids capture from the judicial jets and scores three from 54 yards out.

00:05:39

Baker May Field of Dreams built it and seven points did come after connecting with Michael Jackson Evans who moonwalked into the end zone concluding one thriller of a drive. Let's kick it to Memes with the second half.

00:05:54

In the second half, Tyrod Taylor. No, it's pronounced T today, junior. As it took the jets offense four quarters to get going and gave the to give the Jets a chance at a comeback. Will McDonald turned into the Kung Fu Panda and said skadoosh. Blocking the ball with his chest and returning for a go ahead touchdown Bucky. Kyrie Irving wanted to prove the jets defense was still flat on the final drive and pika pika Egbuca was lighting up the Jet secondary. Chase Darrell McLaughlin. I will remember the jets almost beating the bucks. Will you remember the jets almost beating the Bucks? Don't worry, nobody will. Bucks 29, Jets 27.

00:06:36

Thanks, boys.

00:06:38

We head down to Cleveland or up to Cleveland where Joe Flacco J still has the juice. Carving up the packers defense late when Cleveland needed it the most. On the other side, packers wide receiver Johnny Cochran. Fitzpatrick squad scored but Jordan glove didn't fit anymore in some tight windows. Throwing a costly interception late kicker Andre 3000. Schmidt was probably an outcast after his previous failures, but he's a big boy and after this game winner, I'm sure.

00:07:06

He'S gonna be all right.

00:07:07

All right.

00:07:08

All right. All right.

00:07:08

All right.

00:07:09

All right.

00:07:09

All right.

00:07:10

All right. All right.

00:07:10

All right. All right. All right.

00:07:12

All right.

00:07:12

Okay now, ladies.

00:07:13

Yeah.

00:07:14

That's the end of the Boomer Brown.

00:07:16

Stunned the Packers 13 to 10. We now go to Philly where Max was there for late second half heroics.

00:07:25

We head over to Philadelphia where a lot of haters learned that the truth hurts. You say he ain't great till he's gotta be great. Don't tweet at me. Say it straight to my face. Our old man's on the Minnesota Vikings. Jalen hurts is so much more exciting. Gunner Ford. Gunner Ford shined early for the Rams today as he was jacking off, I mean jacking up the Eagles offensive line all day en route to the game's hairiest, I mean scariest sack. AJ Sonderullo. Brown said play mo mi say playmo second half come and we don't wanna go home. As he exploded late in the game to six catches and 100 yards. Jordan Davis got his belly in check this summer and had a dominant game that concluded with a game ceiling touchdown and after his second block field goal and for that he is my Jordan of the week. Eagles win. I forgot to put on the score.

00:08:25

We go up to Minnesota as Arson Wentz was on fire and everyone in Vikings nation was standing and taking their hats off to Isaiah. Can you see Rogers who made the Bengals helmets broad stripes and their bright stars like Noah Fant and Ja' Marr Chase wish they had the old rockets red glare of Andy Dalton back in the building. Rodgers had 153 yards of touchdown returns in the first half alone and a forced fumble. Meanwhile TJ Hockem sock em Robots kept his head on in a very fun game scoring a td. Drake Browning was over reliant on his drew samples and he needs some throwz epic. Instead of trying to strike a chord and it's Samajp Ryder Vikings humiliate the Bengals 48 17.

00:09:10

We now head over to Foxborough where Hank is there over to Gillette where.

00:09:16

A very very very special awl got.

00:09:19

Inducted into the Patriots hall of Fame. We'd like to give a special shout out to Julian Edelman. Shout out to Jules.

00:09:26

Shout out Jules Hunter.

00:09:28

Henry Lockwood had silky soft mitts around the green zone catching two touchdowns and drove the ball well when it was in his hands.

00:09:35

As would be expected, Drake Mason Derulo.

00:09:39

Smoked his head in the red zone.

00:09:41

And was overheard saying what'd you say to his teammates in the huddle? Right before throwing an interception in the end zone to Brandon. What we do in life Echols in eternity.

00:09:52

D Ka son Derulo Metcalf was getting.

00:09:55

Jazzy on him after catching a second.

00:09:57

Quarter from Aaron Richard Rodgers making him.

00:09:59

Worth every cent of that offseason. Do re mi Big boy Mike Vrabel was not liking the way Ramon Dre 3000 Stevenson was moving today and told him after the game, hey yeah, gotta go onto the field or get. You gotta hold on to the football or get your ass. Your ass is getting cut.

00:10:19

Nailed it.

00:10:19

Boom.

00:10:19

Hey yeah. Gotta hold on to the football.

00:10:22

Your ass is getting cut.

00:10:23

Got it.

00:10:23

Got it, Calvin. Austin Powers was feeling groovy, baby. After catching the game winning touchdown in the fourth quarter. Steelers win 21 14.

00:10:32

We go to a battle of the AFC west as the Los Angeles Chargers hosted the Denver Broncos after Najee Harris tore his Achilles. A word that in a touching tribute to Najee, only has one eye. It was time for Omarion Plankton to make the competition look like a chum bucket. Meanwhile, Darwin James has evolved into the final form of a safety in a ludicrous game. Knicks went 14 for 15. One TD. Bows run on occasions.

00:10:59

No ints.

00:11:00

I got bows. I got bows in different area codes. Area codes. Bows. I got bows in different area codes but didn't make enough throws. I didn't make enough throws. After the Chargers defense stopped the Broncos from driving.

00:11:18

Usually the Chargers can't even stop a.

00:11:20

Ford from making the five minute walk.

00:11:22

To the Rams locker room.

00:11:23

Boom.

00:11:24

Cameron got down with the dickness as they split the uprights. Chargers win 23 20.

00:11:35

Standing on the corner, Jameis Winston and Hoboken. Such a fine sight to see.

00:11:41

He should be incensey or a Viking like Wincy.

00:11:45

But instead he's stuck at third string Russia.

00:11:49

Be locked up.

00:11:52

He's throwing lobs up. And where is Taylor Swift?

00:11:58

She might be knocked up. Chiefs are up 16 to 6 in the fourth quarter and that is our fastest two minutes, brought to you by our friends at Chevy. Football season is here. Okay, week three in the books. We got fourth quarter, Giants, Chiefs. That will update after. But boys, I feel like week three this Sunday was the true arrival of Sunday witching hour and the NFL season because we had what was, you know, basically shake shaking up to be an absolutely terrible first slate of games where there were blowouts everywhere. The closest game was like the Browns and packers. It was 10 nothing.

00:13:16

Packers might as well been 30.

00:13:18

Yeah, the Rams were killing the Eagles at halftime. The jets were getting killed. And then the blowouts. Stayed the blowouts, but we had all hell break loose. And it was awesome to watch. And it was. Everyone was just blocking kicks left and right. And it became an awesome witching hour. So we finally got our first, like, real like holy shit, holy shit, witching hour.

00:13:40

It was awesome. I missed the chaos. You want to start with the packers and the Browns? I was going to start with the most surprising one.

00:13:44

I was just throwing Eagles Rams because Max, I want to just get that out of the way because Max probably got some receipts for us.

00:13:49

Max.

00:13:50

Eagles 33, Rams 26. This was a tale of two halves. The Philadelphia Eagles fans were booing the Eagles into halftime because The Eagles had 33 total yards at half. It was 212 to 33 total yards at half. Jalen Hurts was 4 for 8 for 17 yards.

00:14:13

Did negative 1 yards passing as a team.

00:14:15

Yes.

00:14:16

Shout out. Meek.

00:14:16

Phil.

00:14:18

It was. It was. It was crazy. It looked like the Eagles were just not up for it. And then I guess maybe what the Eagles needed was to be forced into a game script where they had to pass because in the second half, their offense woke up and Jalen Hurts was phenomenal. He was in his. In the second half, he was 17 for 24, 221 yards, three touchdowns. He found that A.J. brown still exists. And then we had the block kick at the end. And the Eagles stay undefeated. They have now won 17 straight games where Jalen Hurts has started the game and finished the game.

00:14:53

That's crazy.

00:14:54

Crazy.

00:14:55

That's crazy.

00:14:55

17 and.

00:14:56

Oh, what was that? Has started and finished the game.

00:14:58

Yeah, because the one that obviously when Kenny Pickett came in and lost to the commander.

00:15:03

That's right.

00:15:04

Yeah. Yes.

00:15:04

He was also a very big. In that game when he. Before he went out.

00:15:07

Very big. Very big. Yeah.

00:15:08

You should have been a win.

00:15:09

Yeah.

00:15:10

Should have been a win.

00:15:10

But yeah, I think the. The Eagles also figured out the second half target, Emmanuel Forbes, because he weighs 25 pounds.

00:15:17

Yeah.

00:15:17

And he can be carried as a backpack would.

00:15:19

Skinny legs.

00:15:19

That's your boy.

00:15:20

That's not my boy. But they. The Eagles offense in the second half was great. Like, they're. They're. A.J. brown was awesome.

00:15:28

Yep.

00:15:29

Devonte was awesome. Barkley never really got it going, but he didn't really need to. And Max, before we get to your full reaction from the game, I have a question for you. Did you see Jalen Hurts reaction to the block field goal?

00:15:43

Of course. He's a psychopath.

00:15:44

Yeah.

00:15:45

Jalen Hurts is a psychopath. A legitimate, like, Dexter style serial killer. More so than Bosworth because they just blocked the kick to win the game and returned it. Where you had a man who was about 350 pounds sprinting full speed down the field, and Jalen Hurts, he was looking at it like it was static on a television.

00:16:01

Yeah.

00:16:01

And crazy. And when you. When you juxtapose it with. Because we had a bunch of walk off field goals today. Yeah, you juxtapose that. They had Joe Flacco watching, Justin Herbert watching Baker Mayfield watching all these kicks.

00:16:15

The co. I can't think of his name.

00:16:16

Jets coach Aaron Glenn. That was the block kick.

00:16:19

Oh, yeah, yeah.

00:16:20

But I'm talking walk off field goals like all these other quarterbacks watching their teams win and they were going crazy and Jalen Hurts was just deadpan. It was. It was. It felt like the Eagles Offense. Like that was what you were looking for, Max, is that not fair? Like that was. You were looking for that type of performance where they can pass and run the ball. Also, I did check with our expert on all wild stats. It got a official wild ruling on it. Jake Marsh. Our darling, Jake A.J. brown. Last year, Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams, his stat line was six catches, 109 yards, and one touchdown. This year against the Los Angeles Rams, his catch, his stat line was six catches, 109 yards and one touchdown.

00:17:06

That's very wild.

00:17:07

That's wild. Exact same stat line. That's wild.

00:17:10

That is wild. That's very wild.

00:17:12

So, Max, how are you feeling? Because you were. You were booing. Max was booing at halftime. He said, fire everyone.

00:17:19

That's not true.

00:17:20

He pulled me aside and he said.

00:17:22

This is a lie.

00:17:22

We should never have let Kellen Moore out the window, out the door. We should have fired Nick Siri.

00:17:27

That's not that. I said that. I received a text that said that.

00:17:30

Who sent that text? Was that a family member?

00:17:32

No, it was not a family member.

00:17:33

Dellente said that.

00:17:36

Dellente did not say, I do.

00:17:37

I am. I love the we shouldn't have let that guy out of the building line of thinking at all times.

00:17:43

I like that, too. Also, you know how they say, like, retweets do not equal endorsements?

00:17:47

I always say that.

00:17:48

I actually think that messages that you get from your boys on your group chats, that is endorsed.

00:17:52

You're.

00:17:53

You are the company you keep.

00:17:54

Yes, exactly, that. Those do equal endorsements match.

00:17:57

So, Max, are you still thinking Nick Sirianni should be fired?

00:18:02

No, I never said that Nick Sirianni should be fired.

00:18:05

But you are the company that you keep.

00:18:06

I. I never said. I never said any of that.

00:18:08

That's your line. You just committed perjury.

00:18:10

I never said that.

00:18:11

You have said.

00:18:12

You guys aren't.

00:18:12

You guys aren't.

00:18:13

You guys aren't going to turn this against me.

00:18:14

That's true.

00:18:15

Or false.

00:18:15

This is insane that you're just Mac. Saying something that I never said.

00:18:19

Did Max ever in his life say that he wanted Sirianni fired?

00:18:23

Yes.

00:18:24

Huh.

00:18:26

You just committed, Padre.

00:18:27

You said Caleb sucks.

00:18:29

Well, yeah, he did suck at the time.

00:18:31

Nick Sirianni sucked at the time, too.

00:18:33

Okay, so.

00:18:35

Yeah.

00:18:36

So what happened in the second half? Maybe it's time to hire Petullo as the head coach.

00:18:39

I think that there's a chance that Jalen Hurts may have just taken over offensive coordinator.

00:18:43

Oh, okay.

00:18:45

There was a point in the Game where he got into Petullo's face and started yelling at him. You don't. You don't know what he was actually saying.

00:18:52

But.

00:18:53

But it seemed to go to the extent of we need to be more aggressive. And I think that there's a chance that the offensive play caller in the second half was Jalen Hurt.

00:19:01

Oh, he did say after the game, like, we needed to be more aggressive. Yeah, we stepped it up on offense. He seemed like he was very happy with the changes that were made going into the second half, and that's why.

00:19:10

I think that he was. There's a. There's a slight chance he was just a play caller.

00:19:14

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:19:14

I mean, it was. It was night and day. Also, special teams matter a lot because it was actually the second kick that you guys had blocked on the day.

00:19:23

Their special teams was also insane.

00:19:25

So I looked into it. Joshua Carty, their kicker, the Rams kicker, he actually did an interview a couple weeks ago where he's admitted that he has perfected the knuckleball. So he is using a knuckleball kick. It was fucking you guys up constantly. It was all day that you guys couldn't feel the kickoff. It was crazy to watch. And I think that this will end up happening a lot more because he's figured it out and it's a copycat league. I think more guys are going to figure it out. But yeah, this guy has figured out how to do a knuckleball with a football. And it was apparent the field position. So in. There's actually something to back it up. I know it's only three weeks through the season, but the Rams opposition has the worst starting field position off of kickoff.

00:20:15

That's pretty crazy. I did notice that kickers in general have gotten better at the kickoff.

00:20:18

Yeah.

00:20:19

There's more strategy now. They've had some time to let the. The year shake out a little bit. But he is the best at it.

00:20:24

Yes.

00:20:24

By far.

00:20:25

Yes. This is also the largest comeback the Eagles had since the 2010 season. Pretty crazy.

00:20:31

Yep.

00:20:31

Miracle.

00:20:32

The Meadowlands, too.

00:20:32

Yeah.

00:20:34

DeSean Jackson returned the punt.

00:20:36

Overall, I feel like the Rams are going to like, just be kicking themselves. They definitely let one go away. You know, there was. I think there was a holding penalty to. When they scored a touchdown in the second half. They went for it on a fourth down. That was pretty aggressive. Just. That was a game the Rams could have easily won. And they just didn't do the little things, especially special teams, to win the game. I mean, they had a field Goal to win the game at the end. Max, are you. Let me ask you this. Do you think at some point the Eagles should try to lose one just to remember what it's like? It's been so long since you've lost one.

00:21:12

Disagree.

00:21:12

Okay. Just throwing it out there. This is part of my take. I'm just throwing out a take.

00:21:16

Jalen hurts. He doesn't like losing. He refuses to lose.

00:21:21

But if he forgets what it feels like to lose, then it. Then you might, like, keep going and then get to a point where it's like, oh, shit, we lose the big one. Like, I forgot about the fear of losing.

00:21:31

I think there's a chance that he felt like he lost this game today.

00:21:35

Yeah, that's true. That was the way that lost win.

00:21:37

Yeah. The way that he was watching the win made me think he. In his mind, he was like, we don't deserve this win.

00:21:44

There's nothing better than a lost win.

00:21:46

Yeah, he's not going to celebrate it.

00:21:47

No. I mean, literally. Literally was not celebrated.

00:21:50

There's a good chance that in the locker room, in the middle of Stefanski speech, Jalen Hurts just stopped him and said, guys, we got lucky today.

00:21:57

Yeah.

00:21:58

No one in this room should treat this like we won.

00:22:00

Yeah.

00:22:00

Let's not even celebrate. No game balls, jail.

00:22:03

I mean, we're not Jordan Davis. Jalen Hurts. Both get. Both get game balls.

00:22:06

We're not going to fuddruckers.

00:22:07

Should we. Can we talk about that for a second? Jordan Davis reached 18.59 mph on his kick return to end the game. He's the heaviest player ever to return a kick. 50 plus yards for a touchdown. 336 pounds.

00:22:25

It says that he was. It's the fastest speed by a player over 330 pounds since at least 2017, which is when they first started tracking it. So maybe of all time. Of all time, he might be the fastest fat guy of all time, which is pretty cool. He also had that play where he chased down Matt. I know he did lose some weight. And on the play where he. It's funny to say, like, chased down Matt Stafford, he did do that. And I think maybe old Jordan Davis wouldn't have. I think Jordan Davis might be a problem.

00:22:51

Young Matt Stafford would have outrun old Jordan Davis easily. Easily fat Jordan Davis versus young Matt Stafford. That's Matt Stafford all day.

00:22:59

No.

00:22:59

So young Matt Stafford would have run away from young Jordan Davis.

00:23:04

Yes.

00:23:04

Which was the old Jordan Davis.

00:23:06

Both of them at their youngest. Matt Stafford wins that. Both of them at their oldest, which is today. Jordan Davis wins that. I know people don't care about our bets, but I'm sure there are people listening to this right now who did have it. That was one of the most bullshit ways of all time to lose plus three and a half of all time. Because there was no reason for Jordan Davis to run that back. The clock had expired. You just, you're a fat guy, dude. You don't like to run. Okay, just lay down. I know it's a cool moment. And Max giggled a little bit and I needed about 10 minutes. Like I needed about 10 minutes to.

00:23:41

Just, I halted my celebration of like the most insane I know win ever.

00:23:46

You giggled.

00:23:47

I, I, I, I always. Hank. Hank.

00:23:50

Was that.

00:23:50

You said it yourself.

00:23:52

I was only mad.

00:23:53

It was.

00:23:53

I was only mad at you for 10 minutes.

00:23:54

That's true.

00:23:55

I, I let it go, but it was crazy. I think everyone who had the Rams has reason.

00:24:01

Oh yeah.

00:24:01

I, this is where also like because I again, I know that people don't care about our bets. We need, there needs to be a national hotline that everyone can call into when that happens. If you had Rams plus three and a half that you can just call in and chat with your boys and just be like, hey, you had that. That was bullshit. You just basically have a conversation with the boy like, link, link, link you up to a random person and just say, yeah, that was complete bullshit. That's fucked up. I can't believe that happened. I'm, I'm retiring. That was the worst loss ever. All right, what do you like in the late games? Yeah, it's like, that's like that. We need that.

00:24:35

Or just have one person that's on the end responding to all the calls. Like a phone sex operator.

00:24:39

I mean, everyone does have that. I, I text Dave every time and he texts me every time. Something bad like that. Because we're some the emotional support there. But it would be nice. I would have liked to talk to some random guys and just like about the play for 10, 15 minutes.

00:24:52

I had the under in our part of my take picks. So as of now, I'm 05. So do not take any of my bets that I ever put out on this podcast ever, unless I get really hot. But yeah, that sucks. And also that's not what cost me the win. But it's fun to just blame that.

00:25:06

Yeah.

00:25:07

So I'm going to choose to do that. But yeah, Max, it was a great way to end a game.

00:25:10

Yeah.

00:25:10

Great way to win. We could have just gone down you guys won. I don't think the Eagles are ever going to lose again. They're just really good. And you know, as a.

00:25:18

As a big guy yourself, if you ever had a chance to score, like, you got to take it.

00:25:22

If it.

00:25:22

If it.

00:25:22

If it ruined my bet. No way.

00:25:25

Fall right down.

00:25:25

Be betting.

00:25:26

Yep.

00:25:27

You'd be playing.

00:25:28

Yeah, I would.

00:25:30

Jordan Davis, by the way, the first guy ever possibly, that in training camp, when you hear best shape of his life, that he's actually in the best shape of his life.

00:25:39

Yeah.

00:25:39

And it's like, very much apparent.

00:25:41

Yeah, it's. It's nice. It's nice to see the big boy run like that.

00:25:45

I know he's a different player this year, and it's. And it's awesome.

00:25:48

Also, the Eagles are going up against. This is kind of like where good teams have to become great teams when they start to get a lot of shit from the league. So the Eagles are now going up against the league who want to ban the tush push. Yeah, there was another tush push today that was pretty clearly a false start. But they didn't call it y. Even though they were told to call it tight this week. So the Eagles are. Are beating the league in that way. And also, Max, did you hear that the league find Big Dom? Yes, they find him $75,000 this past week. It's a lot of ZD for using a phone from the bench area during the Eagles jets preseason game.

00:26:26

I don't understand the.

00:26:27

The best part of this story, though, is the Eagles appeal.

00:26:29

Yeah.

00:26:30

Because the Eagles tried to appeal, saying he only had one foot in the bench area.

00:26:34

He had one foot, so I didn't know.

00:26:36

So is.

00:26:37

Is having one foot out of the bench area, does that make you out, like out of bounds, or does that make you inbounds with one foot in the. Regardless, $75,000 is a lot of money to find a man for using a cell phone.

00:26:47

Yeah.

00:26:48

I don't understand why.

00:26:50

Why they're out to get him. Anti attack.

00:26:52

Yeah, it's very much anti.

00:26:54

It does feel like this is FBI against the mob right now.

00:26:56

Now. Yeah.

00:26:57

I don't. Yeah. I don't get it. I don't get it.

00:26:58

We also probably seem personal. You just got to start using burners.

00:27:02

God bless our colleague Stephen Shea, because he, like, totally serious, asked Max if there was a chance Big Dom was texting him in that moment.

00:27:12

Oh, did he? Yeah.

00:27:14

Max was like, what did you just say to me? He's like, hey, you know when Big Dom got a Fine for texting on the bench. Do you think he was texting to you?

00:27:21

Yes, he was like.

00:27:24

Like, what is this question you're asking me right now?

00:27:27

We got to start.

00:27:27

I think he thinks that me and Big Dom just, like, text. Like. Like, he's my. He's like my girlfriend. Be like, what's. What's going on? How's your day going?

00:27:36

I got a question. Why is that against the rules?

00:27:38

I don't know. Oh, yeah.

00:27:40

No, I don't know who is.

00:27:42

There's probably. Probably a good reason why Big Dom, as head of security, would have his phone on him at all times.

00:27:48

Yeah, No, I have no. That makes no sense to me. I don't understand. And it seems like there was another, like, Saquon got a fine today, or they. They, like, gave him a fine for a play last week where he, like, lowered his head towards another guy, and that was like, 35,000.

00:28:03

Yeah. Yeah.

00:28:04

Why was this 75,000 when the other one is like, yeah, like, that actually makes sense. Like, you could, like, we're trying to keep, like, the players safe and everything.

00:28:14

Well, even. Even if we want to even go further for. For this game. Puka Nukua getting that taunting penalty when he's pointing to the end zone, let him taunt that we are.

00:28:24

We are taunting is.

00:28:25

We are strong believers on this podcast that they should get to taunt as much as they want, or at the.

00:28:30

Very least, the 49ers should get to. And specifically in the 49ers, Ricky Piersol and Brian Robinson Jr. Should both be allowed to do the guns.

00:28:37

Yeah, absolutely.

00:28:38

Like, if you walk off a gunshot, then, yeah, you. You get to use that celebration.

00:28:41

But.

00:28:42

But taunting is fun. Taunting is great.

00:28:44

The only taunting that shouldn't be allowed is D backs after they do nothing.

00:28:48

I like it because then they can get it. They can. They can. They can have someone catch a ball over their head and then get double taunted on. That's the thing. When you taunt someone, you know that there's a chance that they'll get to taunt you back. Like, Puka Nakua. What he did was not taunting. It shouldn't have been a taunting penalty. But let's say Pukinakua is, like, taunting like crazy. And then a linebacker hits him over the middle and knocks him out of the game, and the linebacker, like, starts fake digging a grave for him.

00:29:17

Does the two thumbs down.

00:29:18

Yeah.

00:29:18

Or the step over.

00:29:19

That's a taunt off. I want to watch.

00:29:21

Yeah, no, I like that point. That's A good point.

00:29:23

Right. You always have the risk of getting taunted on.

00:29:25

Yeah.

00:29:25

After you've taunted on someone else.

00:29:27

I also think kickers should be allowed to taunt.

00:29:29

Yeah.

00:29:29

Because then you can just jack up.

00:29:31

Yeah.

00:29:31

Right. Yeah.

00:29:32

Then you fuck up a kicker.

00:29:33

Knock the fuck out of a kicker.

00:29:34

Right.

00:29:35

I just want like the animosity going up and up and up.

00:29:38

I do want to know what was the content of those text met like why. Why is the NFL finding big dumps 75 grand?

00:29:46

It makes no sense.

00:29:47

Yeah.

00:29:47

It make like something stinks your Pablo. Tori.

00:29:50

Find out. Find out.

00:29:51

That's Pablo.

00:29:53

Pablo. This is an APB all Pablo bulletin.

00:29:56

Yeah.

00:29:56

All Pablo's out there. Get those texts.

00:29:59

Also, how much of his body was in the coaching box? I don't think it's feet. I think it's like was the. Was the majority of his weight out of the coaching box? Because then I would say that it doesn't.

00:30:07

Yeah.

00:30:08

Was the phone out of the coaching box?

00:30:09

Yeah.

00:30:09

Too.

00:30:10

That's where they should judge it by.

00:30:11

Yeah.

00:30:11

Like you just get the text messages too. Because I would love to know what he was like.

00:30:15

Yeah. What do you.

00:30:16

Because what do you probably can always.

00:30:17

Yeah. Yeah.

00:30:18

He's probably ordering food for the guys.

00:30:19

Yeah.

00:30:20

I think it should be like a three second and you know in the lane in college basketball, like you just got to get one foot out and.

00:30:25

Then you go back in.

00:30:25

Yeah.

00:30:26

Yeah.

00:30:26

Okay.

00:30:26

Max Truth serum though. Would you want to know what was in the context of Big Dom's texts?

00:30:34

Not publicly. Yeah, I would like to know privately and like keep that close to the chest. But I wouldn't want it to come out publicly.

00:30:41

Omerta.

00:30:42

Yeah.

00:30:42

I mean that's. That's Big Dom's business.

00:30:44

I see nothing. The media's PFT asked a question. I would like to play this game with you, Max. When are the Eagles going to lose their first game?

00:30:51

So they play probably next week to the Bucks. We lose to the Bucks every time.

00:30:54

So they play the Bucks, then the Broncos at home, then the Giants. Vikings. Giants. Probably somewhere in the Packers. Lions range. I don't know, man. The Eagles are really fucking good.

00:31:06

And it felt weird though.

00:31:07

I thought they were. I thought, I thought the Rams. This was like a perfect like going into halftime I was like, man, this is exactly what I thought. The Eagles can't be perfect all the time.

00:31:16

You know you.

00:31:17

You basically sell out for the run and make them pass and they're a little more limited. And then the Eagles just proved me dead wrong. Although should have covered and passed all.

00:31:26

Over the place, there is an issue with Lane Johnson being out, because you can sell out to the run all you want. If you're the Rams, which they attempted to do last year and still got steamrolled. But with laying out, it's. It's a different. It's a different team.

00:31:39

Yeah.

00:31:39

Yeah, I think he's fine.

00:31:41

Okay, what happened next?

00:31:43

Lane Johnson says he had a stinger and he expects that he will be back next week.

00:31:45

Next stinger.

00:31:46

Okay.

00:31:46

Yeah, that's.

00:31:48

That's one of those terms that we use, like, oh, it's just a neck stinger. He'll be fine. And if you actually, like, research what it is, there's like, a nerve inside of his neck that's fucked up. And it's like, way. It's another injury that's way scarier once you read about than just saying, oh, he's just got next stinger. Yeah, no big deal.

00:32:03

Well, we were saying last week, like, now that it's football season, we need to just say state. Like, I think everyone on this podcast right now is, I have a stomach stinger diarrhea. We all have stuff.

00:32:12

We got asshole stingers.

00:32:13

Yeah.

00:32:13

It's, like, not a big deal. I'll be back out in a play. I just got a stomach stinger right now.

00:32:17

Everyone gets hurt this time of year.

00:32:18

Yeah, right, Exactly. Everyone's got something, Hank.

00:32:20

I had a brain stinger on Saturday morning. I was hungover as.

00:32:23

Oh, that's not good.

00:32:25

Brain Singer.

00:32:25

I have a question to ask.

00:32:26

Yeah.

00:32:28

Can we just all admit that when Jalen hurts. Needs to throw the ball. He can throw the ball. Can we stop with this narrative that he can't pass?

00:32:35

He looked great today.

00:32:36

You look great today.

00:32:37

But, like, how many times you're asking.

00:32:39

Me to stop with the narrative?

00:32:40

I've never started, like, well, you're asking me to stop with a narrative that bothers you, and I enjoy watching you get bothered.

00:32:51

So you guys just weren't going to talk about it?

00:32:53

Well, no, but you understand the pickle I'm in.

00:32:56

Yeah.

00:32:56

Like, you want me to stop doing something that could irritate you? No, I'm not going to do that.

00:33:00

But, like, tomorrow, all of the anti. Jalen hurts. Jalen hurts can't throw the football. Jalen hurts can't do this. How can you watch that second half when you needed him to do something to win a football game, and he did exactly that.

00:33:14

Take off your head.

00:33:14

All right, deal.

00:33:16

Take off your head.

00:33:16

He's such a bad Winner.

00:33:17

I know he is. Take off your headphones. He was, he was bouncing around before we came in. Like, he's like, the vibes are so good, but it's also like, it's like.

00:33:25

He needs to learn to just embrace the fact that people are, like, looking for reasons to get mad at Jalen Hurts. Even though it's like they just won a Super Bowl. He is a Super bowl winning quarterback.

00:33:35

Super bowl winning quarterback.

00:33:36

And he's a great quarterback.

00:33:37

So it's like, yes, people are going to try and pick you apart, but, like, you can't let it bother you.

00:33:40

He outd Patrick Mahomes twice in Super Bowls. Beat the out of him. His most recent time, hasn't lost a game where he started and finished since what, how many games? 19 games.

00:33:50

17.

00:33:50

And he's very clearly an awesome quarterback. And Max wins the game. He's like, will you guys please, Like, Jalen hurts now.

00:33:56

Well, here's the thing. Come on. I love, I love the city of Philadelphia. Is he some quarterback?

00:34:01

Who knows?

00:34:01

I think the city of Philadelphia produces some of, like, the funniest people. Obviously, die hard. Die hard fans. But, you know, when Philadelphians say, like, no one likes us, we don't care. It's just the opposite.

00:34:12

Max cares.

00:34:13

No one likes it. Likes them. And they do care.

00:34:16

Please.

00:34:16

Like, which is fine because, like, I, I understand. Max get, like, Jalen Hurts, gets on and he wants people to come correct about him. What I was going to say with Max, no headphones on. Jalen Hurts a really good quarterback. He's very good quarterback.

00:34:29

He's very good.

00:34:30

And when he does have to throw, he's really good at throwing, and I don't know why they don't throw it more.

00:34:34

He's the exact kind of guy that I would want leading my team. Like, the dude is a winner. Everywhere he's been, he's won. When he got benched, he was still a winner at Alabama, went to Oklahoma, still won football games. The dude's a monster. You're wrong about one thing, though, Big cat. I think Philly, they are. No one likes us. We don't care. Max has just gotten soft since he's moved out of Philly. Oh, and he started to care too much.

00:34:53

Got it.

00:34:54

It's the Midwest stuff.

00:34:55

Yeah. Yeah.

00:34:56

But, oh, he's got pens in his ears right now. So either way, we, we, we. We agree.

00:35:01

It's honestly, like, really impressive.

00:35:03

We agree that Jalen Hurts is really good.

00:35:05

Yeah, he's really good.

00:35:06

Yeah.

00:35:06

Okay, Max, come back. So Jalen Hurts had 226 yards, which is like double what he's had all. All this year in the first two games.

00:35:17

It's crazy because he is stunk.

00:35:18

Yeah.

00:35:19

He has been dog until today. And even. Let's. Okay, he had a great second half today. Let's be clear.

00:35:25

He did.

00:35:25

He played one half.

00:35:26

A full great second half. Maybe anyone can play the half of the week. I'd like to see him put it together for a full game.

00:35:31

It would be nice. It'd be nice at some point.

00:35:34

Okay.

00:35:35

You'll have fun listening back to that.

00:35:36

Max, are things okay with him and A.J. brown? That's a good question.

00:35:42

Oh, wait a minute. Did you see this punch that Jordan Mylata gave to A.J. brown?

00:35:45

Yeah, I did that. He might be injured.

00:35:48

Could you imagine taking this punch?

00:35:50

No.

00:35:50

If A.J. brown reacted the way that he reacted, I. I really would be dead. I really would be dead.

00:35:58

Yeah. No, that's.

00:35:59

That's what killed Houdini right there.

00:36:00

Yeah, it's. It's seriously insane. You can't do that to someone. You cannot do that.

00:36:05

Jordan bilateral weighs 400 pounds of pure muscle.

00:36:08

Yeah, that's.

00:36:09

That is a really, really mean thing to do.

00:36:11

And he probably said something hilarious with his Kiwi accent. Isaiah. There you go.

00:36:15

Yeah, I have one. I have one.

00:36:19

All right.

00:36:21

Bucks 29, Jets 27. So this was the other crazy game. We have one more crazy game we're going to talk about. The Bucks played the funnest games possible. They have played three games this season. All three Baker Mayfield game winning drives. It was even. Remember we used to say about the Seahawks, how the Seahawks would just play the wildest games. The Bucks were dominating this game. And then in the fourth quarter, like, you know what? This isn't fun. We got to get. We got to make sure that everyone gets their money's worth. And we're gonna. We're gonna let the jets back into this and just have the craziest shit happening to end the game. And the crazy shit did happen because Tyra, sorry to Rod. Had two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter. And then to go from six up six to up nine, the Bucks get a kick. Blocked return for a touchdown. All time worst camera angle on a play. They just stop showing the guy return it. And then Aaron Glenn is dancing up the sideline. Feels like the jets are going to get their first win. Oh, yeah. Baker still had time and drives him for a game winning field goal.

00:37:26

So that Aaron Glenn celebration was hilarious. His dance that he did and that people are going to remember that moment more than they remember anything else from this game.

00:37:32

Yep.

00:37:33

And I predict that in like late December, maybe into the start of next year, people are going to look back at this game and they'll just assume that the jets won because all they remember is Aaron Glenn freaking out on the sidelines, which he should have. I mean, that was an awesome thing that happened. And they came close. The Bucks, they just know they're great in close games because, yeah, they have Baker Mayfield and they got Bucky Irving. And also Baker is elite. I'd say he's probably the best quarterback in the NFL at like scouring like depth charts and coaching staffs for any team that he's about to play and find somebody that in his mind has wronged him at some point in his career.

00:38:08

Yes.

00:38:08

And then after the game he will talk about that.

00:38:10

Yes.

00:38:11

But all week I think he spends as much time just looking at guys that he might hate on the other team as he does watching film about the other team. Because after the game he's on the podium and he goes, yeah, their defensive coordinator was the one that cut me in Carolina. A lot of stuff was personal today. HASSAN Redick FORMER JET A lot of people. This was Hassan Reddick getting revenge against the jets for. For what? Why is it. Remind me again, why is for him.

00:38:34

Not showing up and holding out even though he was under contract.

00:38:38

Okay. So for him not getting a contract extension for the Jets.

00:38:44

Got it.

00:38:44

That's what he was pissed off.

00:38:45

That's what. Even though he had never had about.

00:38:47

He had never played for the jets on behalf of.

00:38:50

He just, he.

00:38:51

Baker probably just walks around in the locker room before a game. He's like, you got any beef with them? Yeah, I'd just like to know.

00:38:57

He probably has a box, like a suggestion box in the locker room. Like, put all your hatred in this box so that I can read it and get mad for you.

00:39:04

Yeah.

00:39:04

But memes. Can I give you a little bit of a silver lining or. It's like a weird stat for the Jets.

00:39:12

Yeah.

00:39:12

Did you know that the jets are tied with their opponents in touchdowns? They've scored exactly as many touchdowns as their opponents have this year.

00:39:21

That's pretty cool.

00:39:23

That is cool.

00:39:23

Yeah.

00:39:24

That's really cool.

00:39:24

So there's, I mean, there's other stuff that's involved in football, like field goals, but at least you have that. And you don't have to fire Aaron Glenn, right?

00:39:32

Yeah, don't have to fire Aaron Glenn.

00:39:34

That was a non compete for three quarters, including The Torod Taylor pick six to end half was just so jets was like how they played tough in the first half and then he throws a pick six with like 45 seconds left for no reason. But then they, they woke up and they played hard in the fourth quarter. So where are you at overall? It sucked. That sucked because all you needed was one stop there to get your first win. But where are you at overall?

00:40:03

Quarters one through three looked like a maybe one win team. The defense is still absolutely God awful. Unfortunately. Football season is over right now.

00:40:15

Oh, you've ended it.

00:40:16

Well, do it your own three. And statistically it's just.

00:40:19

Hockey started.

00:40:20

Hockey did start.

00:40:21

You got the Mets at least.

00:40:23

Yeah.

00:40:24

Oh, that was.

00:40:24

Max just shook his head like that was like. Don't say that.

00:40:27

That was really mean what you just did.

00:40:28

They're gonna make the playoffs, right?

00:40:30

That was really mean. Really mean.

00:40:33

I thought they were. I thought.

00:40:34

No, they. I mean they still might so.

00:40:37

But they played the nasty. The nasty thing.

00:40:39

You guys have the. Yeah.

00:40:40

The Nationals had a center fielder turn into prime Jim Evans out of nowhere.

00:40:44

You guys, you guys have.

00:40:47

I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have done that.

00:40:48

Yeah, you should have done that.

00:40:49

I'm not leaving the studio live.

00:40:50

You, you have the Dolphins next week.

00:40:54

Yeah, that'll be a loss.

00:40:55

By the way. Did you guys see. Not to. To go ahead to week four, but our Monday night doubleheader next week. Let me just say this statement. There's four quarterbacks playing. Bonix is the best quarterback by a large margin in the four. Four teams that are playing.

00:41:12

All right. I have not looked at the schedule at all for next week. So let me just try to guess Saints by how they just played Monday Night Football. I don't think they make them do two Monday night doubleheaders in the same like three weeks. So I'm going to go with 49ers Bonix by a large margin.

00:41:28

Large margin.

00:41:29

Large margin. Are the Bengals playing?

00:41:33

The Bengals are playing. So it is Jake Browning. It is to Rod Taylor. It is Tua and Bo Nix.

00:41:41

Wow. Yeah.

00:41:43

Someone's got to play well out of that.

00:41:46

Yeah.

00:41:47

The odds have to be something good happening.

00:41:50

I think the jets are the backup game like the Joe Bucks on the.

00:41:54

Yeah, but, but we're gonna watch both.

00:41:55

Are they staggering them? Are they going like one right after the other like they did last?

00:41:59

No, they're, they're. It's just a staggered start. It's not like. I think it's. I think it's early like a 6 15, a 7 15.

00:42:07

So one of the games should be competitive.

00:42:08

Yeah, so. But you guys can win that game.

00:42:14

You'll.

00:42:14

You'll be favored.

00:42:15

Exactly. You could win any game.

00:42:16

Whose line is anyway? DraftKings, sportsman. Jets. Dolphins. At the Jets.

00:42:22

At the Dolphins.

00:42:22

Oh, at the Dolphins.

00:42:23

Jets haven't won in Miami in 10 years.

00:42:25

Dolphins look good on Thursday.

00:42:27

Don't show it. Let me. Let me think.

00:42:28

I'm gonna say any buy for the Fins.

00:42:31

Dolphins minus one.

00:42:32

Dolphins minus three. Don't know. Dolphins minus. I'm gonna say three. And a half.

00:42:40

Two and a half.

00:42:41

Two and a half. Okay, you got that One.

00:42:44

One.

00:42:44

I said one. Zach. Yes, sir. Well, like the Bucks. You're a Bucks fan. You have a great buck shirt on right now.

00:42:53

So the. Early on in the game, a lot of holding penalties, a lot of flags going up in the air. That made me nerve. I was a little nerve wracked on that. A lot of guys out on the offensive line wasn't sure how today was going to go. Boys played good, solid defense. Bucky Irving, nice to watch. Baker Mayfield kind of did his thing. And Buka, two catches. One of the second catch that you ruled. Not a catch. I think that was a catch. He's showing good hands. Mike Evans, hamstring injury. Kind of worried about that, but I'm seeing we might be able to get Tristan worst and Godwin back for week four.

00:43:26

Was it a hamstring injury or was he celebrating?

00:43:29

No, he was. It was a hamstring injury.

00:43:30

He's hurt.

00:43:31

He went to the locker room.

00:43:31

I want to clear that up for Hank.

00:43:33

Yeah, yeah, that's a good clear up.

00:43:34

Zach, I got a stat about the Bucs here.

00:43:37

Yes, sir.

00:43:37

Did you know that they have. They had 100 rushing yards. They allowed fewer than 100 rushing yards in 11 straight games.

00:43:44

I was unaware of that, but that's very promising. That makes you feel good.

00:43:47

It's the longest streak in NFL history.

00:43:49

That's just that they've done that. That should just be the vita vase stat. Yeah, Abuka had six catches, by the way. He's awesome. You have a bona fide star in a Buka because, like, I think wide receivers are the position where if they, like, obviously a wide receiver can get good after drafting him. Like, it could take a year or two. But I think wide receivers have, like, the most pop of any position where you can right away know, like, that guy's a stud. Do you know what I mean?

00:44:15

Has there been a guy that's, like, lit up the league in his rookie year and then completely fallen off afterwards.

00:44:21

At wide receiver currently, maybe Brian Thomas.

00:44:25

Yeah, it's a little early.

00:44:26

It's.

00:44:26

I'm still buying stock.

00:44:28

Eyeballs.

00:44:28

Yeah. Yeah. But, yeah, he.

00:44:29

Book is awesome. He's awesome.

00:44:31

He is. Every time Mike Evans talks about him, I get a little nervous because he. He almost refers to, like, passing of the torch as if he's going to retire next year.

00:44:39

Yeah.

00:44:40

But if there's a guy to pass it to, he's definitely the one.

00:44:42

Yeah. Yeah.

00:44:43

And I will say for the Bucks, like, the big thing with the Bucks is they're three and, oh, Baker's a dog. They have to figure out a way to get healthy and stop having injuries because the Bucks today had none of their starting five offensive linemen playing their actual position, so they all were interchangeable. And because they've had so many injuries, it will hopefully get a little bit better when. What's the name. Goda Key comes back and also when Tristan Wurfs comes back. But they got to get that figured out. They got to get some guys healthy. Mike Evans, obviously, that sucks.

00:45:15

Yeah.

00:45:16

But the Bucks are good.

00:45:18

Did you hear Todd Bowles after the game?

00:45:19

Yeah.

00:45:20

Got jokes. Yeah, Todd Bowles got jokes. He said they asked him what. What was Payne Durham saying to him after they won the game and. Because I guess they gave each other a hug and he said, me and Payne Durham have a relationship not many people know about. We're secret lovers. Oh, was that what's going on in Tampa?

00:45:38

I don't know.

00:45:39

It's not a secret anymore. If I was paying Durham, I'd be upset about this.

00:45:43

Yeah, that's.

00:45:44

That is your secret levels.

00:45:45

He also said you've got. When he was asked about the jets blocking the field goal for a touchdown, he said his response in the moment was, you've got to be fucking shitting me.

00:45:53

Me.

00:45:54

That's great. Yeah, that is great. Todd Bowles showing a little personality.

00:45:58

I like that. I. I think it has something to do with him having the game management coach.

00:46:02

Yeah.

00:46:03

So that he doesn't have to. Like, that would take Todd Bull's brain a good two hours to come down from where it got. It's. It cooled off like a CPU for.

00:46:10

A second there because you.

00:46:11

Yeah, yeah. What?

00:46:13

I thought you said game management coach.

00:46:14

Game management did.

00:46:16

He might have.

00:46:17

Well, I was talking about. Well, him and. And, yeah. Secret lovers.

00:46:20

I think that was what. The same line of thinking.

00:46:22

Right.

00:46:22

Game management. He's got a game management coach saying, like, with the. With the guy that's telling him the clock scenarios.

00:46:28

Yeah.

00:46:28

And what to do game, man. I think his brain would still be like working too hard after a game trying to figure out the scenarios.

00:46:35

Yeah.

00:46:35

Now he's like cutting loose a little bit after the game. He's got all this creative mental energy.

00:46:39

Yeah.

00:46:40

Memes. Can I give you Aaron Glenn's post game comment? He said, the one thing I don't do, which I understand New York media tries to do, is the negative parts of it. I'm not going to be that way. I'm going to let you guys deal with that. We're going to look at the things we did well. So memes, that is your coach, give us something. You did well and let's not do negatives.

00:47:03

They came back okay.

00:47:07

Huge.

00:47:07

Huge. That's. That's all they did.

00:47:10

Well.

00:47:10

The defense is terrible, but to come back you have to do something well.

00:47:17

Yeah, that's true.

00:47:18

So what was that?

00:47:21

So the Bucks stopped blitzing and they were just playing drop coverage and Tyrod was just being able to pick them apart.

00:47:28

That was good.

00:47:28

But the defense didn't do anything. Well, the defensive line wasn't that bad, but the secondary is just absolutely gross.

00:47:35

Yeah.

00:47:36

So you said going in this weekend that if they allowed 28 points, you wanted Aaron Glenn fired. But the defense didn't allow 28 points.

00:47:43

No.

00:47:44

Tyrod Taylor, pick six.

00:47:45

Yeah. Yeah.

00:47:46

So that's. So the defense played better.

00:47:49

Played better, but still very bad.

00:47:51

All right.

00:47:52

Well, I mean, these are.

00:47:53

You know what? This might be a. This might be a Wednesday check in on me is to do the.

00:47:57

I just saw his coach say that. So I was like. And I agree because it's very hard to be positive after a loss on Sunday. That happens on Wednesday and Thursday and Friday. You get back, your brain gets back.

00:48:07

Bucky Irving play was so bad.

00:48:09

Which one?

00:48:11

The one where he.

00:48:12

Oh, all seven of them.

00:48:13

Oh, yeah, that one was bad. I actually likened it. That was in the first half. That was. That made me nervous about the must compete because what I. In the moment I said it looked like those videos when like a soccer player plays against like a hundred. A professional soccer player plays against like 105 year old Asian kids and they're all like in a group like running around like a pack of fish and they can't catch up to them. That's what the jets look like on defense now.

00:48:41

Yeah.

00:48:42

It does look like they're playing on different surfaces. From Bucky Irving, who's able to like move and change directions. And the jets they just can't stop.

00:48:49

Yeah.

00:48:52

All right, well, Bucks three and. Oh, jets own three. I think the. The jets, they passed the. Must compete. They passed the. Must compete.

00:48:59

I also like that the bucks that they brought in Desmond Watson for a workout.

00:49:03

Yeah.

00:49:03

They were just. But they didn't sign them. They just brought him in. They're like, hey, you should probably work out today.

00:49:07

Do you think there's a chance they brought him in? Because when he was at camp, he had, like, walked on the same portion of the grass and, like, killed the grass. They're like, we got. We got to bring you back to even it out.

00:49:19

Do your trail. Yeah, the trail's growing in a little bit.

00:49:22

Come back.

00:49:22

Come back and just. Even this whole practice field, I think.

00:49:25

They'Re just having a workout. I think they're just having, like, 7am workouts.

00:49:29

Yeah.

00:49:29

Like, hey, do you want to join the class? Yeah, we're doing Tae Bow.

00:49:32

Yeah. Yeah.

00:49:33

It was probably like the coaches.

00:49:36

Yeah.

00:49:36

All the coaches are like, hey, we're going to stay in shape this season. Two guys we're going to do. We're going to do some Pilates before practice. Everybody get in early. Yeah, we'll call Desmond.

00:49:45

I'm rooting for him to make a roster, and I would love to see him play next week against the Eagles for the. For the tush push, because that would be awesome.

00:49:52

Him next to Vita V is a lot of weight.

00:49:54

A lot of weight.

00:49:55

A lot of weight.

00:49:56

Pushing that.

00:49:57

Yeah. Okay.

00:49:59

Sorry. Last thing on the Jets. Their first three opponents combined eight and one, so that's, like, the only.

00:50:05

There we go.

00:50:05

That's the only actual positive.

00:50:07

And then you play the Dolphins. Who you have after the Dolphins.

00:50:09

Dolphins, Cowboys, Broncos in London.

00:50:12

Okay.

00:50:13

And the Panthers. I believe it does get easier, but, I mean, it's just a uphill battle.

00:50:20

You just. The. The way week one and three went, it's like, just get one of those wins. B. One and two.

00:50:27

Yeah.

00:50:28

Fields next week, maybe he's got to do the whole protocol now to.

00:50:32

Rod was actually kind of elusive in the pocket today. He was. He was. He was moving around.

00:50:37

He wasn't that bad. But when they were just strictly blitzing, he couldn't do anything.

00:50:41

Yeah.

00:50:42

Okay. Next up, the other game. That was incredible. Ending. Browns 13, Packers 10. This was. This was crazy. This was shocking because it was a really, like, you know, defensive battle. The Browns defense is legit as legit could be. Mason Graham is awesome. Adding him to that defensive line has been incredible for the Browns defense. And what they're able to do to other teams. So here's. Here's a couple stats just to talk about the Browns defense real quick because I. They. They won the game. Joe Faco had a nice drive at the end, but it was the Browns defense that carried the day. So far, the Browns defense has held chase Brown to 21 carries, 43 yards. Derrick Henry 11 carries, 23 yards. Josh Jacobs, 16 carries, 30 yards. Those are some pretty good running backs. And they've completely stonewalled them. The Browns defense kept them in this game. I was looking at it. The Browns offense is not good. Not explosive. They had 3.9 yards per play, which is not good. But they were in the game because the Browns defense held the packers to 3.8 yards per play.

00:51:53

Yes.

00:51:53

So this is actually the first game that the Browns have not outgained their opponent. Yeah, you can believe that. And it's their first win. They're 0 and 2 when out gaining their opponent. They're 10 when their opponent out gains them. Kind of crazy to think about. They also got fucked. They got fucked on that fumble that Josh Jacobs had. Ended up being kind of like ball don't lie.

00:52:11

Yep.

00:52:12

But the Browns very clearly got screwed. Like There was a 15 minute span where I saw three calls. I'm trying to remember the other two, but there were three calls that were very clearly like should have been overturned, should have gone a different way. And for whatever reason, the replay review did not work on them. The Browns got on that one. But their defense is elite.

00:52:31

Yes.

00:52:31

Like one of the best defenses in the entire league.

00:52:34

Gonna keep him in every single game. I know it didn't obviously last week against the Ravens, but that game again was closer than the final score because of some of the special team stuff. Internal.

00:52:42

And Mason Graham is probably the defensive rookie of the year right now.

00:52:45

I would say so.

00:52:46

He's awesome.

00:52:46

He's got a 43% pass rush win rate against the Packers.

00:52:50

That sounds really high average for a.

00:52:52

Defensive tackle is 9%.

00:52:54

Yeah.

00:52:54

For a defensive tackle.

00:52:55

So 43% to 9%.

00:52:58

And they've got Miles Garrett.

00:52:59

Yeah.

00:52:59

And they had. Let's give credit where credit's due. Joe Flacco. Maybe the operation of the week. Yeah, was that the operation.

00:53:05

Was the operation of the week.

00:53:06

An awesome operation. At the end of the game where they had the ball in the middle of the field, the center ran up, spotted the ball for the ref who came in, just tapped, just booped the end of it. They got the snap off. They spiked it in time for the field goal where Smith went out there and made it. That was the operation of the week.

00:53:21

Incredible.

00:53:22

Incredible job. But that's a veteran move by Joe.

00:53:24

And shout out Andre Schmidt, he gets, you know, he was. Cost him Week 1 1. Won this game with a 55 yard field goal. Really cool to see him like bounce back like that. And the Browns get their first win. And it was. I know that it doesn't. It's crazy to say this, but that was a shocking comeback because the Browns were down 10 under four minutes. And with this Browns offense that feels like a hundred. And they're able to win the game in regulation. Not in overtime. In regulation. A lot of lot because of the block field goal and also because Jordan Love threw a terrible interception.

00:54:01

Yeah. So they got their first two turnovers of the year in the last four minutes of the game.

00:54:05

Yeah.

00:54:05

Pretty crazy. And one of the game. Good for the Browns. I like the neon brown uniforms too.

00:54:10

All right. So I like them, but they also make the. Some of the guys look like a little fat.

00:54:17

Yeah.

00:54:17

Joku looked maybe 50 pounds heavier than he looks.

00:54:21

That's fine. That's a price you pay.

00:54:22

I know that. Nujoku's like shredded.

00:54:24

Yeah.

00:54:24

But in that jersey he looked, he looked fat.

00:54:27

Yeah.

00:54:28

The neon brown, it's got its gives and takes.

00:54:30

Yeah.

00:54:30

I thought it would for the Browns. It's awesome.

00:54:32

Yeah.

00:54:34

Let me read you guys a quote real quick. This. I'll just say the quote and then I'll tell you who it's from. I think we can go undefeated pound for pound. I look at these teams, I don't really see who's better than us. Honestly.

00:54:49

Mike Parsons.

00:54:50

That was left tackle Rasheed Walker.

00:54:52

Okay.

00:54:54

And then the Browns defense did what they did to the Packers.

00:54:58

Well, teams are now 02 the week after they played the Commanders.

00:55:02

Oh, wow.

00:55:03

There's a little stat everyone's talking about that's a huge. Because they get beat up so bad.

00:55:06

Yeah. Yeah.

00:55:07

Physicality.

00:55:08

I'd like that to continue. The Bears play the Raiders next week.

00:55:10

That's right. So let's.

00:55:12

Yeah.

00:55:12

Tip to us.

00:55:13

So. And then the Bills should be the Falcons in week five.

00:55:17

Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

00:55:20

Also, Quintean Judkins looks pretty good.

00:55:21

Yeah.

00:55:22

Quinn Chuck, he's definitely RB1.

00:55:24

Yeah.

00:55:25

RB1 for sure. Is the Toyota thon come early this year?

00:55:29

I don't know.

00:55:30

For, For Jordan Love.

00:55:31

Oh, maybe.

00:55:32

I don't know.

00:55:33

It might have. He didn't look great.

00:55:36

No, I mean, I, I, I'm not going to, I'm, I'M going to be measured in the fact that the Browns defense, I think is really fucking good. But yeah, no, that that interception was bad. I don't know. I don't know if he didn't see the guy or if there was a route run wrong, but that changed the game because it did feel like the Browns were. Had no chance. And then that happened. And yeah, they just hung around, hung around, hung around until they could pounce on him. And the packers get their first loss.

00:56:04

And I still think the packers are really, really good. There was a video this week of Jaden Reed after he had his surgery and he was still under the anesthesia coming out of it and he was just looking at us. So he went live on his phone from the hospital bed as he was still drugged up and all. He was talking about how the packers, their goal is to win the Super Bowl. Yeah, this is awesome. Our team. So we're going to win this. That's a team that's locked in right there.

00:56:24

Yeah.

00:56:24

When his subconscious, when you could be talking about anything else, where am I? Would be a natural question to ask. He's just like, yeah, we're going to win the super bowl this year.

00:56:32

Listen, I don't know how the packers don't win the super bowl unless the Browns are in it because the Browns just beat them as 8 1/2 point underdogs.

00:56:40

NFL makes no sense. Game of the week.

00:56:42

Yeah.

00:56:43

It's Survivor League. Busted. Everyone's survivor. Busted. They definitely. A lot of people probably took the packers so good for the Browns. I'm happy for the Browns because they like this deep. They have an identity. I don't know what the future is going to hold for Joe Flacco for the rest of the year, but like they will be in most games because of this defense and how nasty they are. And you saw it today where it's like, that's a. If you're. If you're averaging. I think they went. They went 4 for 13 on third down and like I said, they averaged 3.9 yards per play. That's tough to win a game like that unless you have an elite, elite defense. And that's what they showed today.

00:57:22

That they do. Yeah. So.

00:57:25

And yeah, man, it's just a shame. The Packers, I thought they were going to go undefeated. I thought they were going to beat everyone and they just couldn't beat the Browns. I am kind of holding back a little bit because the Bears do have to play the Browns and that defense.

00:57:37

What if the.

00:57:38

But still that. That pick Was bad.

00:57:40

The packers are like the Saints from last year.

00:57:42

Oh, we were all looking for the Colts to be the Saints from last year, and the Colts are still a wagon. It was actually the Packers.

00:57:48

Packers.

00:57:49

Man, that would be a shame.

00:57:51

That would be a damn shame.

00:57:52

That'd be a real shame. A real, real shame. Does it make you feel. Are we doing transitive property at all?

00:57:59

No, No. I was thinking about doing the transitive property for this game and thinking to myself, wow, the Commanders might really, really suck because we got the shit kicked out of us by the packers and they just lost the Browns. But then I just spin zoned it into being like, wait, we played them last week. That's probably why they're so banged up, and that's why they lost the Browns. So I thought that was a good way to get over it.

00:58:19

That's smart. I think also there was maybe some booze for Joe Flacco, which, I mean, listen, he can handle it. And also, their offense was bad for a really long time.

00:58:30

They're not.

00:58:30

They're saying, beautiful ball.

00:58:32

Yeah.

00:58:33

Beautiful operation. They didn't see the operation. They weren't booming the operation.

00:58:36

Incredible operation. Incredible operation. 10 points in 37 seconds. The Browns watch out.

00:58:41

Do you think Dylan Gabriel gets that operation off?

00:58:44

No chance.

00:58:44

Shador gets that operation.

00:58:46

No chance. That's Joe Flacco.

00:58:48

Yep.

00:58:49

Something about Flack Bailey.

00:58:50

Zappy might get that operation off and.

00:58:53

Then throw a pick.

00:58:54

DeSean Watson might get that operational.

00:58:56

I'm just pumped for Andre Schmidt because that is. Yeah, he misses that and it's curtains for it.

00:59:01

Yeah.

00:59:02

Probably for his career, that.

00:59:03

But think about how much pressure is on that kick for him, specifically where it's like, he misses that kick, and it wasn't an easy kick. But in, you know, in addition to Week 1, the Browns probably cut him, and everyone's like, well, he's not good, and now he's a hero. And they get their first win. And I feel like these just like having that one win where it's like, hey, you can still fight. And yeah, they.

00:59:27

They.

00:59:27

They have a tough schedule, but it doesn't matter. They're going to be in some games.

00:59:30

I'm happy for the Browns.

00:59:31

Yeah, I am, too.

00:59:32

The dog pound.

00:59:33

Also, I found out my assistant Dom, for the first time in four years, didn't wear his. He has a gigantic Browns necklace that's just a dog bone. Didn't wear it today. He's got to bury it. Got to be gone forever. Can't ever wear it again.

00:59:50

I agree.

00:59:51

You Guys agree.

00:59:51

I agree. Yeah.

00:59:52

This is also just so funny because it's a gigantic necklace and it's.

00:59:57

It.

00:59:57

No, like, it's just a ridiculous look. But that's also why you got to love Browns fans. So just dress up like dogs and like what? You know, you're the one with the problem. Why don't you have your dog face on?

01:00:08

So the, the Browns, they were first and run defense going into this game. I'm sure they're still first and run defense.

01:00:13

Gotta be.

01:00:14

They were third and past defense overall. They're still probably top five in that.

01:00:18

Yep.

01:00:18

First and total defense.

01:00:19

Yep.

01:00:20

Probably still that.

01:00:20

Yep.

01:00:21

Nasty.

01:00:22

Really good.

01:00:23

Nasty, nasty team.

01:00:24

If they had a quarterback that just didn't turn the ball over, it was a game manager like Flacco. They could be real force.

01:00:30

Yeah. Yeah.

01:00:31

Steelers 21, Patriots 14 Henry that was a lot of fumbles.

01:02:54

Yeah, a lot of turnovers. Drake May played well. I thought the defense played a lot better. I thought Drake May took a lot of hits. Like there was two pretty solid shots to the head that one of them was right before the interception he threw in the end zone which he got the ball was the ball is tipped but it literally went from replay of his head smashing into the ground and then he threw an interception. So I think there's a little bit of leeway there for Madre Stevenson. I don't know how much leeway he gets.

01:03:22

Probably not a lot.

01:03:23

So he fumbled twice.

01:03:25

Yeah, twice. He fumbled a lot last year and.

01:03:27

Going back I think like six or seven games.

01:03:30

That's his six or seven fumble you guys had. So, so the Patriots had five turnovers, four fumbles, two turnovers inside the Pittsburgh two yard line. So twice you're basically giving up six points for a turnover. One was interception in the end zone. The other was Ramondi Stevenson like basically six inches from the goal line getting it punched out. This is a crazy stat. Last time The Patriots had four fumbles in a game, lost four fumbles in a game. 99, 1992 verse Bill Belichick's Cleveland Browns.

01:04:08

Wow, that crazy interesting.

01:04:09

Yeah, wild stat.

01:04:10

But this game was. It was. And the Steelers like the fact the Steelers only won by seven with five turnovers like that. Especially with two on the goal line. I don't think the Steelers are very good. The Patriots are kicked should be kicking themselves because they should have won this game. I was looking at it. The this game is summed up if you, if you miss this game. By the way, the third quarter started so I'm going to read you the drive the drives to start the third quarter. This is the first eight minutes of third quarter. Pittsburgh started with the ball. Three plays, zero yards interception. Patriots get the ball. Two plays, 10 yards fumble. Steelers get the ball. Three plays minus two yards punt. Patriots get the ball. Three plays, 11 yards fumble. Steelers get the ball. Three plays, three yards punt.

01:04:59

So there were field position.

01:05:01

There were, There were a total of five drives to start the third quarter. Three turnovers, two punts, not a single first down. And it felt like that it was just like both offenses. The Patriots are able to move the ball, then they would just fumble and the Steelers weren't able to move the ball. They would just get the fumble.

01:05:22

Yeah.

01:05:22

Then the, the, the last play of the game.

01:05:25

Yeah.

01:05:25

DeMario Douglas, 4th and 1. Caught the ball basically on the, on the line to gain and then took two steps backwards, got tackled.

01:05:33

He ran away from the first down.

01:05:35

It was nuts. And that it was a freeze frame situation where, you know, the Mitch, the classic Mitch Trubisky, like, you know, picture where it's like, if you look at the freeze frame, it looks bad. The freeze frame of like, where he caught the ball. There's no defenders in sight or like, within reach of him in that freeze frame. It's like he didn't get a first down here.

01:05:52

His momentum at the time was, it.

01:05:54

Wasn'T kind of as bad.

01:05:55

Yeah, it wasn't as bad in real time. But even Drake, me, after the game said, like, I got to do a better job telling, you know, my teammates that what we need to do. It's like he's the Wario Douglas should just know, like, I need to get a yard.

01:06:07

Good answer by Drake May. Yeah, I, I, I should do that on me. I need to do a better job telling my wide receivers to get a first down. When it's fourth down and I'm throwing them the ball. That's my fault, guys.

01:06:19

I mean, Drake May easily outplayed Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers is old. I don't know what to say. Like, they don't. I feel like the Steelers are just the same team as last year and the year before, the year before that, where their offense just doesn't have any pop.

01:06:33

Yeah, the offense a little more pop. It was not good today, but.

01:06:38

I.

01:06:38

Would take Roggy over Russy.

01:06:40

Yeah.

01:06:40

Yes, I, I would agree to that.

01:06:42

I don't know. He doesn't throw deep.

01:06:44

They're taking away the deep ball.

01:06:45

Russy does throw deep. He's not good.

01:06:47

He does.

01:06:47

Yeah, but he does. He's tried. I agree.

01:06:50

When Russie throws deep, the ball does not hit the ground. Fact or fiction?

01:06:56

Fact. Yeah. Fact. Fact. Yeah.

01:06:58

He, he's not like letting it rip or anything, but I think he's a major upgrade over, over Russ Wilson from last year.

01:07:04

I just feel like when you close your eyes and you think about the. The Pittsburgh Steelers offense in what's been like the last four or five years, what play comes to mind?

01:07:14

There's a couple. There's the like 2 yard gain from Najee. There's the like tight end out route. That's that you run like three yards downfield and catch it and go out of bounds for three yards.

01:07:23

Yeah.

01:07:24

And then you do a variation of that with kind of like a screen pass to George Pickens who then catches it and runs out of bounds.

01:07:30

Is that what I was going to say is when I think of like the Steelers offense, and it might get better, but I just think of a check down to a running back where he catches the ball behind the line of scrimmage and there's three defenders basically running at him all at the same time for a gain of one.

01:07:47

Yeah, that sounds right too. That's. That's a staple of theirs.

01:07:49

Yeah.

01:07:50

I had an idea today for a rule change. I think that any pass that's thrown behind the line of scrimmage should count as a fumble if it hits the ground.

01:07:59

I like that.

01:08:00

So like, I'm not talking about where the quarterback is obviously not talking about a Mahomes, but where, where the ball's going. If it's going to a running back, that's yards in the backfield. If that hits the ground, treat it as a fumble. That'd be awesome.

01:08:11

Yeah.

01:08:11

Everyone would just be diving on balls all the time.

01:08:13

Yeah, it would rock.

01:08:14

Yeah.

01:08:14

But yeah, Hank, you're right. Stevenson doghouse. He's in variables. Doghouse.

01:08:18

Because Drake may play good enough to win the game and your defense played good enough to win the game. You just gave the ball up five times and two times.

01:08:26

Yeah. Yeah.

01:08:27

Two of them going in.

01:08:28

Yeah. And yeah.

01:08:29

I don't know. I think, I mean, the Steelers defense played. Did a little bit better, but. Did they? Because it was a lot of the. So the, the punch. There was a good punch out on Ramondre Stevenson on the fumble going in.

01:08:42

So that.

01:08:42

That's defense. But like, you can't. You can't expect to get five takeaways in a game because it felt like the Patriots moved the ball and then the takeaways happened. So I don't know if the Steelers improved defensively or they were just able to be opportunistic with the ball.

01:08:56

Ben. But don't break. That's what Steele does.

01:08:58

Right. But you need to also investigate building seven.

01:09:02

Yeah.

01:09:02

Bendo break. But Also, make sure you get the fumbles when they're on the goal line.

01:09:07

Yeah, that's true. I mean, look at the Browns. They didn't have a single turnover in the first two weeks. They were great at defense. They lost those two games. Steelers bad defensively today. Had a lot of force turnovers.

01:09:18

Yep.

01:09:19

Won the game.

01:09:20

Yeah.

01:09:20

I guess it just comes down to, like, if the Steelers can get back to the defense that they've had in the past, I do think this is going to be a decent team. If it's the defense we saw through the first two weeks and maybe a little bit of today, when the ball gets moved on them, it's going to be tough because I don't know how much pop their offense has.

01:09:39

Yeah.

01:09:39

But they're two and one, so who cares?

01:09:41

Now, do you feel like Aaron Rodgers is going to pull the Jalen hurts and be like, we don't deserve to celebrate this because we played like shit? Or is he going to be like the perspective thing of I've been in this league a long time. It's hard to win. Celebrate every win, boys.

01:09:51

I would say celebrate every win. Also, Aaron Rodgers past Brett Favreau for fourth most passing touchdowns in the NFL history. So it's 509.

01:09:59

Okay.

01:10:00

That's a lot of. That's a lot of touchdowns.

01:10:01

Good for him.

01:10:02

And they did. They did get a lot of pressure on Drake May, which I guess that would be the. The big takeaway is maybe the Steelers pass rush is back and that's. If they can get that back, then they will be just fine.

01:10:13

Yeah.

01:10:13

Hank, what are you guys going to do at running back? Is this Trayvon time?

01:10:17

Varel said we need Ray. I don't know if he was just saying that. That I think we'll probably. We'll see more Trayvon.

01:10:24

So he might not be in the doghouse then?

01:10:26

I don't know if that was just coach speak of. I don't know.

01:10:28

No, because I feel like guys. Guys like Vrabel and Belichick too, if they've got. If a guy is in their doghouse, he's. They're not shy about letting people know, hey, I've got a doghouse. This guy's in it.

01:10:37

Yeah, I think we'll see more Trayvon.

01:10:40

Yeah.

01:10:41

Because I think he might be good.

01:10:42

And shout out Derek Harmon making his NFL debut. That is probably why the Steelers defense was played. The best game they had of the season.

01:10:50

They had.

01:10:51

He had a sack. TJ Watt had two sacks. Their pass rush got picked up by him. That was their first round pick from Oregon, so it feels like that might be the boost they needed. What are you going to say?

01:11:03

Like, Travion had two and a half yards of carry. He had 11 carries for 28 yards today. So it's not like he was.

01:11:09

I didn't say I thought he was good. I said I think he's going to be good.

01:11:12

Stats Max.

01:11:13

I think. No, I think he's a good player.

01:11:15

Ramon Dre had a bad game, but Trayvon, like Henderson also had a bad game.

01:11:18

So. Yeah, yeah, but I'm saying which one. Which one is a rookie.

01:11:24

Yeah, no, I agree. I don't necessarily mean that just because he's a rookie. He's a good player.

01:11:29

I agree with that. But I think.

01:11:30

So we agree.

01:11:31

Yeah, we agree.

01:11:32

I think he will be good.

01:11:33

You think he's a bad player.

01:11:34

Trayvon did not fumble.

01:11:36

No, I don't think that's like Drake.

01:11:37

May with the other two fumbles.

01:11:39

I'm. I'm just not. I'm saying it's not like Travion Henderson's running away with this job.

01:11:43

Like according to film guys, Travion's lost out there.

01:11:45

He can't.

01:11:46

Lost out.

01:11:46

Passing block is what the.

01:11:48

Okay.

01:11:49

What the take is.

01:11:49

That makes sense. Can't pass with the ball in his hand Dynamic.

01:11:53

Yes, maybe, maybe. But also, what were the stats?

01:11:58

11 carries, 28 yards.

01:11:59

That's not Also receiving back.

01:12:01

Yeah, he did catch three balls for 19 yards.

01:12:05

That's pretty good.

01:12:06

Not really.

01:12:07

6.3 yards per reception.

01:12:08

That's solid.

01:12:10

That's good.

01:12:10

Ramandre had three. Three receptions for 38 yards.

01:12:14

Fumbles.

01:12:15

Well, Trayvon had three targets and he caught all three for 100. Target catch rate.

01:12:19

Ramondre also had three targets and he caught all 3 for 100.

01:12:26

Yeah, with a long with 23.

01:12:28

No, I'm not saying that like one's, but it's just that it makes it. It makes it harder to be like, oh, we have to push more. Trayvon Henderson. When Trayvon Henderson hasn't. Isn't running away with the job.

01:12:39

Yeah, no, you're right. Because I think he's. He should be the more dynamic of the two running backs.

01:12:44

Right.

01:12:44

But he's. He might be the one in the doghouse for not being able to block.

01:12:48

Yeah. Is.

01:12:49

Yeah, yeah, there we go.

01:12:50

He's.

01:12:50

We can't came all the way around.

01:12:52

That's why my dog house isn't big enough for two of the guys. We need Ramon Dre.

01:12:57

Yeah, good.

01:12:57

We got to get One of these guys out of the doghouse before the net. It's one in, one out.

01:13:01

Yeah.

01:13:01

Because I think Vrabel's doghouse, he usually has a kicker in there, but I'd say his doghouse and Belichicks are the worst dog houses to be in. Maybe Saban's doghouse, if you like, fixed.

01:13:12

If we had to say right now. Right now, Week three, and it's obviously way too early. Do the Pittsburgh Steelers make the playoffs?

01:13:20

Yes.

01:13:21

I would say so, too.

01:13:21

And I think they win a game.

01:13:23

And you do.

01:13:23

Yeah. You.

01:13:24

You're on record as saying they're going to win a game.

01:13:26

On record.

01:13:26

On record. Win a game. I would agree, though. I think there's. There's some not. There's a cliff that the AFC kind of falls off, and I feel like the Steelers will be above that cliff.

01:13:38

Yeah.

01:13:39

They have a good schedule.

01:13:41

They have to go to Ireland, play the Vikings.

01:13:43

They got car so sick.

01:13:44

Yeah.

01:13:45

Carson Wentz, Joe Flacco, Browning. Next three games.

01:13:47

Oh, okay. So that. That should help fix the defense a little.

01:13:51

Wasn't there.

01:13:52

The defense again, played better after that.

01:13:54

Wasn't the Steelers owner the ambassador to Ireland?

01:13:57

Yeah.

01:13:57

The Rooneys.

01:13:58

Yeah. That's crazy.

01:13:59

Yeah.

01:14:00

Okay, next game, we've got PFT. Your game. Commanders 41, Raiders 24. Marcus Mariota. Is he the best backup in the NFL right now?

01:14:12

I think so.

01:14:13

Played pretty well.

01:14:13

I think he might be Joe Milton. Joe Milton's really good name anymore. Joe Milton's really good.

01:14:20

It's basically Mariota or once.

01:14:22

Yeah.

01:14:23

Yeah.

01:14:25

Why?

01:14:25

Just hearing that.

01:14:26

We'll get.

01:14:27

We'll get to watch, you know.

01:14:28

You know how I feel.

01:14:29

There's.

01:14:29

Okay.

01:14:30

There's two things in this world that. That give me goosebumps in a bad way when I hear them. One is when somebody says the name Carson Wentz when I'm not expecting it. And the second is when Memes goes pfd.

01:14:41

Yeah.

01:14:41

Because I know that means he's about to ask me to do an ad.

01:14:44

You have no idea how mad you would be at Memes if you know what he just said to these muted mics.

01:14:48

Oh, please tell.

01:14:49

What do you say?

01:14:50

Please tell.

01:14:51

Do it.

01:14:51

50.

01:14:51

I mean memes.

01:14:52

I just said. I was just like, what if Marcus Mariota's best quarterback on the Washington commander's roster.

01:14:56

Oh, I like that. That's good.

01:14:58

Are we ready to have a conversation?

01:14:59

We can.

01:15:00

I don't think. I don't think he is.

01:15:01

We can have a conversation.

01:15:02

I do not think.

01:15:03

I don't think. I think he is the best backup.

01:15:05

I think you're gonna buy who put up the most points.

01:15:07

I also think that we have maybe the best third string quarterback in the NFL. Joe Johnson. Oh, pretty good for a third string quarterback. I don't know who that is. Oh, sorry, Josh. Josh Johnson.

01:15:18

Yes.

01:15:19

Josh Johnson.

01:15:19

Yes.

01:15:20

Joe Johnson. Great Hawk.

01:15:22

Great Hawk. Yeah, great Hawk. No, Marcus played, he played pretty well today. He had a bad fumble, but it was after a sweet run. And this, it seemed to me like the Raiders are just. They're not a great football team.

01:15:32

Well, I was gonna say the Mariota was, was. He did exactly what a backup needs to do. He, he was good. It wasn't like he. I think your defense was what the story was today because you guys absolutely harass the out of Gino and shut down Ashton Genti. Ashton Genti had 17 carries for 63 yards. But more than that, 11 of his 17 rushes, he was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage. Yeah, that's some good pressure.

01:16:00

Yeah, it was pretty good to see from our defensive line. Johnny Newton had a couple big plays out there. Bobby Wagner got two sacks. He's old as. It should also be said that on Bobby's two sacks, like the Raiders pass protection is very bad. Yeah, really bad.

01:16:14

No, Gino's like he's in hell.

01:16:16

Yeah, he's in hell. He's not getting out of hell. And it was, it felt it was closer than it should have been after the first half because there were some costly turnovers and some just minor mistakes that the commanders were making in the first half. I felt, I did not feel comfortable going into the second half even though we were winning, I think 20 to 10 at halftime because there were these small things that kept happening where if you're playing a bad team, that's the kind of games that you would lose to a bad team.

01:16:44

Yeah.

01:16:44

I think what I can say about the commanders is. No, I'm not thinking soupy, but I, I'm reaffirmed in my belief that they're a good team, but they're not a great team because good teams blow out teams that they should beat.

01:16:56

Yes.

01:16:56

And that's typically what happens with the commanders memes.

01:16:59

Did you want to start the conversation or you're giggling back there?

01:17:03

Yeah, let's start it.

01:17:05

Okay, you go first.

01:17:07

Is Marcus Mariota the guy?

01:17:10

I don't think so.

01:17:12

Why?

01:17:13

Because I think Jayn Daniels is better.

01:17:15

What if he started that NFC championship game? We'll never know.

01:17:18

We'll never know. So I guess the answer is we'll never know. We'll never know if Marcus Mariota is better.

01:17:23

We'll never know.

01:17:24

At a third. Bad goosebumps. Memes starting the conversation.

01:17:28

Yeah.

01:17:28

Meme starting. That was. Come on, Memes. I'll give you another shot at it.

01:17:32

Take a swing.

01:17:36

I. I don't know.

01:17:38

Okay.

01:17:39

Okay. All right. All right.

01:17:40

Good.

01:17:40

I disagree.

01:17:41

Good job.

01:17:42

He did unlock Luke McCaffrey, which was nice.

01:17:44

Yeah.

01:17:45

Also, Dan Quinn, all time football guy, got concussed bloody.

01:17:49

Yeah.

01:17:49

Javon Kinlaw after the game said he jumped up like it wasn't shit. We're going to ride. We're going to ride for a motherfucker like that.

01:17:55

Yeah.

01:17:56

I love that. And Dan Quinn after the game handed out game balls and then Frankie Luvu gave him the game ball back. And Dan Quinn, the way that he looked at a football. That man was on the moon.

01:18:05

Yeah.

01:18:06

But he might have gotten better at coaching after he got concussed.

01:18:08

I agree.

01:18:09

It's like it woke him up. He's an old linebacker.

01:18:11

Yeah.

01:18:11

Likes contact. His nose was bloody as during the game. That was awesome to see. It was just. It was a good game for the commanders. McNichols ran really well, had that long touchdown run and. And Bill got in the end zone again, which is cool to see.

01:18:25

Bill also.

01:18:27

Oh, this was one of the other ones that replay screwed up. Terry McLaurin scored a touchdown.

01:18:31

Yeah.

01:18:31

So Bill should not have had the opportunity to score that touchdown because Terry dove into the end zone. His knee did not hit the ground. They did expedite review and on expedited review, they saw the first replay, which we all saw, and thought to ourselves, oh, he's down at the one.

01:18:44

Yeah.

01:18:45

And then they showed the other angle and his knee was clearly not on the ground. So Terry got fucked on that depot.

01:18:51

We also had Max Crosby, who I can.

01:18:53

We.

01:18:54

I know Max Crosby. I don't want to just trade people off of the Raiders, but I would like to see Max Crosby play in playoff football. And yeah, he levitated for a sack on Marcus Mariota where there was just guys all around him and he just like, I'm still going to get the quarterback.

01:19:10

He was getting cut by Bill who hit him in the quads and then he just fell over him and grabbed Mariota and took him to the ground.

01:19:17

Yeah.

01:19:17

Unreal.

01:19:18

So good.

01:19:18

Unreal play by Matt.

01:19:19

And I feel bad, like, Raiders are just. They're.

01:19:22

They're.

01:19:22

It's a work in progress. I also don't really understand Geno's quote after the game. He said, I believe in Raider Nation. I know we can get this thing headed in the right direction. And that's what I'm focused on. I can't get. I can't wait to get back to work, solve these problems, and come out next week with a new enthusiasm. What does Raider Nation have to do with playing better football? I believe in Raider Nation.

01:19:42

I think he's saying, please don't call for my job.

01:19:46

Okay.

01:19:46

But I think, like, shout out to fans.

01:19:48

Yeah, yeah.

01:19:49

Who's the backup in. In Vegas?

01:19:51

AOC still.

01:19:53

I don't know.

01:19:53

Did they.

01:19:54

But he got hurt.

01:19:55

Right.

01:19:56

Did they bring someone in?

01:19:57

They did not mention?

01:19:58

No, no, he brought someone in. Kenny Pickett. That's right.

01:20:03

Pickett.

01:20:04

Can he pick it?

01:20:04

So they've got a pretty. He's got a pretty good insurance policy.

01:20:07

Yeah.

01:20:08

I have a dumb rule I'd like to propose to the group, and this is maybe a rule that could be for every single play, but I want it specifically for kickoff returns and punt returns. So Jalen Lane had an incredible punt return. There was a flag thrown right at the beginning of it. And I was obviously in the gambling cave with pft, and he celebrated, but wasn't able to celebrate fully because he's like, oh, it's a flag on a punt return. It's going to be on us. I think they need to have different colored flags for offense and defense.

01:20:43

I like that rule proposal. I also. Maybe they could do it like they do in soccer on an offsides call. So you don't throw the flag if it's against the defense.

01:20:51

Yeah.

01:20:51

On a. On a return until somebody's tackled.

01:20:54

But you got. You got robbed of an electric punt return. I didn't enjoy the moment because you're like, oh, there's a flag. There's a 90% chance it's going to be a hold, because otherwise, why did he get so free? So.

01:21:04

Yeah.

01:21:04

I don't know what. I don't know what they can do. Maybe there's a blue flag and a yellow flag. And it actually would be kind of sick if they did that for every single play so that you could just see the color and know right away. That's on us.

01:21:15

Yeah.

01:21:15

Or that's on them. Because that happens a lot where you'll get a big play downfield and there'll be a flag and you'll say, oh, it's coming back, and be like, oh, no, it's the other way.

01:21:24

I. I like that idea a lot.

01:21:26

Yeah.

01:21:26

Because for the first, here's how my reaction went. He starts to break away. Then I say, this is coming back.

01:21:32

Yeah.

01:21:32

You saw like, any flag was instant.

01:21:33

Any good football fan says, this is going to come back.

01:21:35

Yep.

01:21:36

And then you start to think about it and think about where the flag was thrown. You're like, well, maybe the gunner went out of bounds. Yeah, that could be against the. The kicking team. But, yeah, I was robbed of a moment of joy. Also, our special team today was awesome. Debo was electric in the turn game. He had one for 69 yards. He had two for a total of 93 yards on kick returns. Not fat. Looked great.

01:21:57

Not fat.

01:21:58

Luke McAffrey's return was great. And then obviously, Jalen Lane had the return for a touchdown. So good day at the office for the special teams.

01:22:04

Well, Goodell, I know you're not Adam Silver, so you don't take advice from the fans, but let's just figure it out. Let's figure out a way to just make it. Maybe it's even. Maybe it's not different colored flags. Maybe it's just the ref has a. They do have mics, but they can just whisper offense or defense and the. The graphic can show.

01:22:23

Yeah.

01:22:23

Which side it's on. You could pop up the flag on each side because I just hate being. I watched you get robbed of a great punt return.

01:22:29

Yeah.

01:22:30

Of the enthusiasm of a great punt return.

01:22:32

It was a great return. Shout out Jalen Lane, the hokey rookie.

01:22:34

Yeah.

01:22:35

You guys like that idea? You could even do pink flags for breast cancer.

01:22:38

PFT had another good dumb idea rule today.

01:22:41

What was that?

01:22:42

That all passes behind the line of straight.

01:22:46

Listen.

01:22:46

Yep. Wow.

01:22:48

It's called part of my Take sports podcast. I think you enjoy it.

01:22:51

Yep.

01:22:51

We talk about the Eagles a lot, say great things about Jalen Hurts.

01:22:54

That was probably when I had my earplugs in.

01:22:55

No, I was like, it was not.

01:22:57

No, I think that was when I.

01:22:57

Had my five minutes ago.

01:22:59

I think that was when I had my earplugs.

01:23:00

Is there a chance that you shoving two pins into your ears might have damage your hearing?

01:23:06

Definitely a possibility.

01:23:07

Do you remember the Simpsons episode when they had the view from Otto the dog?

01:23:13

Right.

01:23:14

Otto was a bus driver.

01:23:15

Oh, no.

01:23:15

Who's the Santa's little helper?

01:23:16

Santa's little helper. Sorry. Santa's little helper. And it was like what he sees and it's just gibberish. Gibberish, gibberish. And then it'd be like, sit. And he could understand. Sit. I imagine Max sits in the booth, and it's just gibberish, gibberish, gibberish. Jalen hurts and then he perks up.

01:23:32

Yep.

01:23:32

Gibberish, gibberish, gibberish, gibberish.

01:23:33

Eagles.

01:23:34

Gibberish, gibberish. No hitter.

01:23:35

Yeah.

01:23:35

Gibberish, Gib. Gibberish, gibberish. Meatballs. And he's like, oh, that's a word. I know.

01:23:40

I thought. I was pretty locked in today, too. There's days where I know I'm. I'm. My brain's not in it.

01:23:46

This should. This game should probably start to quiet the Tom Brady narrative.

01:23:51

No. Disagree.

01:23:53

Oh, because he prepped for Jaden Daniels when he was doing the Redskins game. The commander's game.

01:23:58

No, no. Next week. He called the Bears game, and the.

01:24:02

Bears play the Raiders the very next week. But he called the commander's game. Week one.

01:24:07

Right. But that's enough time where you could change it. This is the. This is the week.

01:24:10

Okay.

01:24:11

If the Bears lose the raiders, it will 100%. Because there was something at play.

01:24:16

Yep.

01:24:17

I'm just getting myself ready because. How else?

01:24:20

I'm so excited for Jaden to come back.

01:24:23

But meme said you're fine.

01:24:25

I think that. I think that we are fine in that Marcus Mariota is not bad.

01:24:30

Yeah.

01:24:30

I don't think he should be a starting quarterback anywhere. But I think if you're going to have Marcus Mariota as your backup, you're probably pretty happy with yourself.

01:24:36

Yeah, he's. He's good.

01:24:37

Yep.

01:24:38

He's a good backup. Okay. Jaguars 17, Texans 10. The Texans are in trouble. They're bad. C.J. stroud needs to play better. And if you're a Texans fan listening to this right now, and you're like, how could you say that? Well, I didn't say that. CJ Stroud actually said that. He said, I need to play better. Can we have hard truths?

01:24:59

Can we have the conversation, Our discussion that we were starting to have about five months ago, and then C.J. stroud himself asked us to put a stop to this.

01:25:08

Yep.

01:25:09

Is C.J. stroud hurt?

01:25:11

Oh, I don't know.

01:25:12

Because, remember, he was having shoulder problems.

01:25:15

Yeah.

01:25:16

And they said he's not having surgery, which is not what you want to hear unprompted going into a season.

01:25:22

That's a good point.

01:25:22

I actually forgot about not having surgery.

01:25:24

Yeah.

01:25:24

If I wake up in the morning and I'm like, okay, I don't think I'm going to need surgery.

01:25:27

Surgery today.

01:25:28

I'm probably not 100%.

01:25:31

Yeah. It's.

01:25:32

Surgery just gets mentioned oh, this is a. Oh, okay. Max just pulled up a stat C.J. stroud 17 games before he big broed Caleb Williams. 4,600 yards passing, 26 touchdowns, five interceptions. 18 games since that picture. 3,800 yards, so that's 800 less yards, 19 touchdowns, so that's seven touchdowns less and 15 interceptions. That's 10 more interceptions.

01:25:58

I'm going to say it, although I do consider myself a Stroud boy liberal ass.

01:26:04

I'm not going to go all the way to say little bro ass. I do think his offensive line is bad, but he needs to play better. Like you. From what we saw his rookie year, he's got to play to that standard. He said it himself. I'm not speaking out of turn. He said I have to play better.

01:26:21

Yeah.

01:26:21

He's. He's been bad.

01:26:23

Yeah.

01:26:23

And I. I have no idea if he's hurt or not, but it seems like there's something that's up about his.

01:26:29

Last regular season game where he THREW More than 250 yards was a week 11 last year. That's a long time.

01:26:38

Well, today he only got sacked twice.

01:26:40

Yeah.

01:26:40

So that's a bad. Much better week than he has had in weeks one and two.

01:26:45

Yeah.

01:26:45

And also credit to the Jags defense. They played a great game. Trevor Lawrence actually said after the game, he's like, they wanted to bully us. We're not going to get bullied. It did feel like one of those games. The Jaguars might be switching their identity a little bit because that is a game they do kind of get bullied at. Historically, I think they lost. They had lost 12 out of 14 to the Texans, and the Texans would be the more physical team. The Jaguars had that. It was that interception of CJ Stroud and also the force fumble Tyson Campbell on Nico Collins. They kind of took it to the Texans defensively, so credit to them. They also. Here's. Here's how much better the Jags defense is playing. The Jags defense has three takeaways in each of their first three games, which is nine takeaways total. Three times three equals nine. No big deal. I know math. They had nine takeaways all of last year. So they've already tied their amount of takeaways as a defense for their 18 games last year. 17 games last year.

01:27:50

I'm going to take that stat. I'm going to add two things to it.

01:27:52

Okay.

01:27:53

They've got three takeaways and three straight games. That's the first time that the Jaguars have ever done that in the history of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

01:27:59

Are we doing, Are we doing stat improv? Yes and yes.

01:28:02

That was good. Yes. And they have more interceptions right now than they did for all of last year.

01:28:08

That's crazy. So, yeah, the Jags defense is playing well and they, they were, they were good in this game. And so the only thing I would say about the Jags 2 and 1. Easily could be 3 0, easily could be 30 if it weren't for that, that Bengals game where Jake Browning went the, the length of the field. What do we think about Brian Thomas Jr. Are we buying stock? Because he had another game where he was kind of a no show. He did have a huge catch in the fourth quarter. 46 yard catch, which up until that point I think he had one catch for nine yards. Where are we at? I kind of want to buy stock.

01:28:45

Where is his stock? It's a complicated question because it's low. I feel like he's still got some value built into the stock from last.

01:28:50

Year, but it's low through three games because he's had some questionable moments where he doesn't look like he wants to catch the football drops like. And again, he's, it's, he's being judged against Brian Thomas, you know, last year where he was a stud wide receiver and, and you know, you got to make those type of plays. I, I am going to buy stock at him though. I think he's just maybe going through a little down spurt.

01:29:16

So if it's like, if it's like GameStop where it was like on the moon back in what, 20, 21, 20, whatever that was. And it's dipped down since then, but it's still higher than most other stocks. I think I'm buying stock in his current season. I think he's gonna, he's gonna get better.

01:29:32

Yeah.

01:29:32

As the season goes on, he's still.

01:29:33

Getting a lot of targets.

01:29:34

Yeah.

01:29:34

I just don. He's going to be what he was last year.

01:29:37

Yeah.

01:29:37

Okay, that makes sense.

01:29:38

I'm.

01:29:39

I'll predict 900 yards, six touchdowns for.

01:29:44

Brian Thomas Jr. Brian Thomas, 900 yards, six touchdowns.

01:29:48

Yeah.

01:29:48

What does he have so far?

01:29:49

Feels right to me.

01:29:50

Does he have a touchdown so far? I think he has 1 0, 100. Is that all three games added up? Because it's. Sometimes it takes a second.

01:30:03

He also has a rushing touch.

01:30:04

Yes.

01:30:05

That is all three.

01:30:06

115 yards.

01:30:07

Yeah. Through three games.

01:30:08

Okay. Yeah.

01:30:10

He's not been great.

01:30:11

No.

01:30:11

He's got, he gets a lot of targets and he's, I mean, if you just look at. He's got 25 targets on the season and he has seven catches. That's a problem.

01:30:20

Big problem.

01:30:21

That's a big problem. Okay. Jaguars, by the way.

01:30:24

Yeah.

01:30:25

I. AFC south might be Jaguars and Colts. They have a collision course still like the Colts. I do too. But I'm just saying like those, those two teams, I mean, the Jaguars have some good tests coming up. The 49ers, Chiefs and Seahawks and Rams are their next four. I feel like if they can go two and two in those, then we might have to be like, hey, the Jaguars are a legit threat.

01:30:48

Can. Can wide receivers have the yips?

01:30:52

Yeah, for sure.

01:30:53

So you can fix the yips?

01:30:55

Yeah, I don't know if it's the. Yeps. I don't know what it is.

01:30:57

I think you might have the yips.

01:30:59

Yeah, you can have the yips for anything.

01:31:02

Absolutely.

01:31:03

This is yips.

01:31:04

Okay, next game. This is when we get to blowout ville.

01:31:08

We have.

01:31:09

We have three blowouts in the early slate. Panthers 30, Falcon 0. Michael Penix. Yuck.

01:31:16

Bad game.

01:31:17

Bad game for Pennix.

01:31:18

I got a Yuck.

01:31:19

Crazy.

01:31:20

Kirk Cousins came in.

01:31:21

I got a Michael Pinnock stat.

01:31:23

Okay.

01:31:24

Michael Pinnock's has never won a game in which his defense has allowed more than seven points.

01:31:29

Whoa. He's.

01:31:30

Oh, is that true? Oh, and for. In the NFL.

01:31:33

I was gonna say, I was like, it's definitely not true.

01:31:35

Yeah, in the NFL.

01:31:37

Yeah.

01:31:37

Okay.

01:31:37

All right.

01:31:38

He is 2, 0. When the Falcons hold the opponents to seven points or less. Small sample size.

01:31:44

Small sample.

01:31:45

But still their two wins have come against, I think six points for the Vikings.

01:31:49

Yep.

01:31:49

And then I think seven points for the Giants. At the end of last year, he.

01:31:53

Was just missing guys. I was watching and it was. It wasn't good. And he had a bad pick six. That kind of broke this game open. Yeah, I mean, credit to the Panthers too. They. They played very good defense. You. It felt like it could be a dead team, but they got off the mat and absolutely pasted. The Falcons. Also remember all of our Panthers. What do you even call it? Like, what were we doing with the numerology?

01:32:22

And the Panthers, they win the super.

01:32:24

Bowl and they go to the Super Bowl.

01:32:26

They go to the super bowl in. In years after Ohio State wins the national championship in college football and in years where they played the Jaguars in week one when it also coincides with years that JLo got a divorce.

01:32:41

Okay, so here's another one. That was the biggest win for the Panthers since 2015 when they won the NFC championship.

01:32:48

How about that?

01:32:49

They beat the Falcons 380 that year.

01:32:51

How about that? So yeah, things are adding up.

01:32:55

Also I am 100% in on a curse that I just made up and it's got a very small sample size. But the young Weiku's curse. So Parker Romo went 5 for 5 on Sunday night Football. When young Weku was still on the roster. The Falcons cut him. Parker Romo goes over two.

01:33:13

Yeah.

01:33:13

You got to put him back on the roster.

01:33:15

I agree.

01:33:15

Don't even need him to kick. Just give him a job, let him hang out. That is a young way coup curse.

01:33:20

I'd say that the young way COO is a guy that just feels like a falcon for forever.

01:33:24

Right.

01:33:25

Right.

01:33:25

So you fucked that up. Parker Romo. Not that field goals would have changed the game.

01:33:31

Yeah.

01:33:32

I credit Steve Smith for this win. Steve Smith, he told he went on the radio and he called Charlotte a weak ass city. Oh, says all you do is you and complain you're fair weather fans. I said that way because I've been in the city for 25 years now. I've heard complaining about everything. No matter what the case is. He was talking about how they complained when we were 1 in 15. I'll never forget how people treated us my rookie year when we were 1 in 15. I know some people aren't going to like to hear this, but if you're going to ride and die with your team, ride or die. That's probably the problem with this weak ass city. Fair weather fans.

01:34:08

Damn.

01:34:09

So they got put on notice by Steve. They said, ice up, son.

01:34:12

And they, and then they, they did come through because Bryce Young mentioned after the game that it was an electric atmosphere.

01:34:18

Yeah.

01:34:18

Max, I'd like to have a conversation just the two of us for a second.

01:34:22

Okay.

01:34:23

As larger men. Zach, you can also be in this conversation if you'd like. As larger men with breasts.

01:34:31

Yep.

01:34:32

Would you say that when another man comes and flicks your nipple or your breast, it is one of the most maddening things that can be done.

01:34:41

It's literally the worst thing that you can do to a human.

01:34:43

Right. You want to punch the person.

01:34:44

Yes.

01:34:45

Okay. Now imagine if that happened, but the person who did it was Steve Smith. Because that happened to me on Saturday at Utah.

01:34:55

No way.

01:34:56

Yeah, well, he was saying hello to me, but he flipped my nipple. And I was just like, you're Steve Smith. I'm not gonna say shit.

01:35:04

It was a girl has done it to me before and that is really.

01:35:07

Listen, I, I, we talked For a little bit. He said he's gonna try to come to the Chicago office, hang with us.

01:35:12

Did he have hats?

01:35:13

He asked about all you guys. He asked where my hat was. But the way when I first saw him, he was like, yo, what's up? And then gave me a flick of my nipple and I was like, there's literally nothing I'm going to do because you're Steve Smith and I am not.

01:35:26

He flicked your nipple and you just said. Noted.

01:35:29

Yeah, noted. I like that.

01:35:31

Yeah.

01:35:31

No, that's no good. That's no good.

01:35:33

I said, steve, you just busted my iud.

01:35:36

The, the Panthers took our advice, by the way. They deactivated Xavier Leggette. Oh, Bryce Young was so good. Throwing to receivers not named Xavier Leggette.

01:35:44

Yeah.

01:35:44

So he didn't even play on Sunday. And 30 points. Offensive explosion. Even though the offense wasn't really statistically all that great.

01:35:52

No, Bryce Young did his job.

01:35:54

Did his job.

01:35:55

He did his job.

01:35:55

Defense did their job. There were just a lot of mistakes by the Falcons today.

01:36:00

Yeah, a lot of mistakes.

01:36:02

Also, Michael Pinnix has not lost his job. Remorse said after the game. Kirk Cousins. Yeah, we just put him in so that we didn't want anyone to get hurt.

01:36:10

Oh, I wasn't even wondering. Yeah, that's interesting.

01:36:13

But he, he did say that he.

01:36:14

Had to talk about that.

01:36:15

Talked about that, that.

01:36:16

But I wasn't wondering.

01:36:18

He talked about it.

01:36:19

Now I'm wondering.

01:36:19

New people, people are going to have the conversation.

01:36:21

Well, now I'm wondering, are you wondering.

01:36:24

About Michael Pennix's job? Are you wondering about whether we should have the conversation?

01:36:28

I'm thinking we should have the conversation if he started the conversation.

01:36:33

Okay, let's have the conversation.

01:36:35

Memes. Michael Penix.

01:36:40

What about him?

01:36:41

Give us your take.

01:36:41

Should we have the conversation?

01:36:42

You're the quarterback guy.

01:36:44

I like him at times.

01:36:48

Okay.

01:36:48

I think that's fair.

01:36:49

That's a really fair problem with. I agree.

01:36:51

The problem with the left handed quarterback is when it goes bad, it looks so much worse.

01:36:55

Interceptions from a left handed quarterback look like they've never played the sport of football.

01:37:00

Yeah.

01:37:01

I also don't love their offensive coordinator based off of the quarterback documentary.

01:37:06

Oh, okay.

01:37:07

Go deeper.

01:37:07

He's the pro football focus guy, right?

01:37:11

I think so. I just remember there was one play that Kirk Cousins ran and there's just too much going on. They got, they just got to simplify the playbook for the young fella.

01:37:19

Okay, well, he's not that young.

01:37:22

Oh yeah, he's older, but he's still young in the league. She got simplified things, huh?

01:37:28

So you're. So you're. You're out on Zach Robinson.

01:37:32

Yeah, I do like Michael Penix. He throws sideline to sideline. He's just gotta. He's gotta figure some things out.

01:37:37

Okay.

01:37:38

So that's actually. So no one freak out. It's gonna be fine.

01:37:42

Yeah, One game.

01:37:43

Yeah, one game. Okay. Pfd. You want to do a couple ads and then we will get to the other two blowouts. Then we'll do the afternoon games.

01:37:49

Yep. We'll get back to the games in a second. This show is sponsored by Better Help. We turn to some funny places for support. But not everyone is a therapist. Not everyone is the one. 01:39:38

Okay. Colts 41, Titans 20. So bad news for Colts fans. They finally punted. Good news for Colts fans. They're fucking wagon. And it was the only punt they had. And they are have one punt on the season. Fewest punts to start a season since 1940. And Daniel Jones continues to be awesome.

01:40:00

Yeah, they punted once and they thought that maybe there was a flag and it was getting called back and they wouldn't punt.

01:40:05

Yeah.

01:40:06

Because there was a flag on it. It was just against Indianapolis. Daniel Jones is playing incredible football right now.

01:40:12

Yeah.

01:40:13

It's unreal. He's playing mistake free football. I don't think he has a single turnover on the. On the entire season. It's the first time that The Colts have started 30 since 2009. They went to the super bowl that year and they just continue to dominate in terms of their running game today. But also like Jones is handling the offense the way that he should handle it. Jonathan Taylor was a beast today.

01:40:34

Yeah, he's back.

01:40:36

And I think we keep trying to figure out with Cam Ward is, is he going to be a guy. I think in his best interest we should start to reframe that as being like he might be a gunslinger.

01:40:47

Yeah.

01:40:48

And he also needs an offensive line.

01:40:50

He needs the offensive line. But he also. That's one way that we can just brush off the pick sixes.

01:40:54

Yeah.

01:40:55

And any of the bad plays, across the body plays.

01:40:57

He had another picture today.

01:40:58

He tried another across the body play today.

01:41:00

Yep.

01:41:01

I think we just need to say Cam Ward is. He's a gunslinger.

01:41:04

Yeah.

01:41:04

I feel bad for him because he's getting killed and. Yeah, I like that. Gunslinger.

01:41:10

Yeah.

01:41:10

Gunslinger, Cam.

01:41:11

Gunslinger. Some other just crazy cold stats because they. They have now gone past the Saints of last year because Saints only did it for two games. So I think the Colts have more staying power. They're just a good team. Today was the best offensive performance a team has had based on EPA per drive of any team in any game this season. And the second best performance was the Colts week one. Yeah, they've one and two. They also have 103 points in their first three games. No Colts team has ever done that. They had a quarterback named Peyton Manning who was pretty good at football and Peyton Manning never did that. So just to put in perspective, also here's the crazy one. Daniel Jones is the first player in super bowl era to start the season. First three games a season with three plus passing touchdowns, three plus rushing touchdowns and no turnovers. Daniel Jones is good he's just fucking good.

01:42:09

No quarterback has.

01:42:10

Has ever done that. He's just good in the super bowl era.

01:42:13

It's crazy.

01:42:14

He's just good.

01:42:14

And. And it seems like Shane Steichen's doing a good job of. Maybe his offense just makes sense to him. Maybe just using him correctly. Yeah, Whatever it is, it's working. Maybe it's just the new owner. Maybe she was on the headset today.

01:42:27

Yep.

01:42:28

But they're 3. 0 since Mr. Ursay passed away.

01:42:30

It's. It's been awesome to watch the Coltser and they have now, like, we're going to find out because they played the Rams at the Rams. Rams coming off a loss. Rams are a very good team. Colts win that one.

01:42:41

Get.

01:42:41

Whose line is anyway? Don't. Don't show it yet.

01:42:43

Colts at Rams.

01:42:44

Colts at Rams.

01:42:44

I think it's gonna be Rams. Rams. Rams.

01:42:50

What do you say?

01:42:51

Rams minus drafting sportsbook. Rams minus two.

01:42:55

Oh, six. Oh, I was gonna say three and a half.

01:42:59

Four and a half.

01:42:59

That's what it is.

01:43:00

Yeah.

01:43:01

All right, so I got that one, one, one. But yeah, they're just good.

01:43:05

They're averaging 34 points per game, 425 yards per game, which is absolutely incredible.

01:43:11

They're just good. Yeah, they're just good. And Daniel Jones, good for him. I'm happy for him that he like good coaching matters in the NFL. And also they're. I mean, their defense is playing well. They just. This is. I actually, I would like to hear now say I have two teams. I'd like to make an announcement about that. I'm going to be done betting for the foreseeable future. The Titans are one of them and the Saints are the other.

01:43:37

Okay, that makes.

01:43:38

I'm done with that. I think I just can't do it anymore. Because this game, Hank, you took the Titans. It was over right away, immediately.

01:43:46

Yeah.

01:43:47

Not as fast as the Saints one, which we'll get to, but it was pretty much over right away.

01:43:51

Yeah. Yeah.

01:43:52

And it's just the Colts are set up where Daniel Jones is playing perfect football, and then in the second half, they just like, hey, here's Jonathan Taylor down your fucking face and deal with that.

01:44:04

There's. There wasn't anything that the Titans could do about it.

01:44:06

They also are missing their best defensive player.

01:44:08

They're missing some. Yeah, they're missing some pieces. Also. When you start out, you missed two field goals. Joey Sly was on the sidelines and he, like, sprinted to the sidelines and grabbed the Microsoft Surface and started studying the Microsoft Surface. What do kickers look at on that. On that tablet? Are they just on Instagram?

01:44:26

No, I think he was just looking. He's like, oh, yeah, that is where the crossbows were.

01:44:30

Or maybe it was like uprights. I thought that was in, but I didn't see. Like, when you hit a drive and.

01:44:33

You don't face angle.

01:44:35

Yeah, yeah.

01:44:35

You don't see where your drive went and you're like, it felt like I connected really good. You think maybe it's just up in the fairway. He was like, I thought that off my foot. It felt great. I didn't see where it went. And he's like, oh, yeah, it did. The refs called that, right? It did miss by a long, long distance.

01:44:49

Yeah. Yeah. The. The.

01:44:52

The Colts even said it. Michael Pittman said before the game that the Titans looked kind of sluggish and they didn't want to be there. So. Yeah, not good. Brian Callahan did have to address the calls for his firing by the fans. That's usually the first sign. Not a great sign. I also think, unfortunately for Brian Callahan, just the name Callahan, like, fire Callahan, just kind of has a little pop to it.

01:45:17

It does.

01:45:18

You know what I mean? Like, you can just say that you're like, fire Callahan.

01:45:22

I.

01:45:22

It just. It just does. And I, I like him, but it's just. It's. It's the minute you have to address the calls for the firing, it's kind of like the Michael Pennix thing where he's like, oh, yeah, he's our. Still our quarterback.

01:45:34

Yeah.

01:45:34

I think the only.

01:45:35

Our quarterback. When you say that, it's like, what.

01:45:37

What did you say?

01:45:38

The only move you can do if you're head coach in that situation, just be like, I'd be frustrated, too.

01:45:43

Yeah, I hear you.

01:45:44

I get it.

01:45:45

No one's more mad than me.

01:45:46

Yeah.

01:45:47

I'm going to take a long look in the mirror because it starts with me.

01:45:51

Yeah. Yeah.

01:45:52

It starts and ends with me.

01:45:55

And I might. Like, if I were a head coach, I'd be like, I'm gonna take a long look in the mirror because every time I get a second to myself, I just quietly cry a little bit because this sucks. And being 0 and 3 sucks. And I'm really hurt because it's my dream job and I suck at it.

01:46:11

And it's all I ever wanted in my entire life. And I worked my entire career to get to this point. I finally got it. And you guys are being really mean to me when you say that I should be fired. And it's not nice because it's a tough economy. I don't know if I'm gonna get another job. I. I would be ruining for a man and his family.

01:46:26

Yeah.

01:46:27

To not have food on their table.

01:46:29

I would do the. I would get in front of the media and just be like, hey, listen, guys, let's try one week where everyone's positive, fans and media. Maybe I'll be better at my job if you're. If you're. If you're boosting me up.

01:46:42

If that doesn't work, we can just.

01:46:43

Yeah, we'll go right back to negative. Let's just try one week where you say nice things about me, and maybe that will be what makes me a great coach.

01:46:49

And they got the Texans, so maybe they. Maybe they win this game.

01:46:52

Yeah, I would.

01:46:53

I would love to say that. I'd love to see a coach say that. Be like, hey, do you guys think about just being positive once? Like, it could help me. Could. Could help my confidence. Maybe I'd call better plays if you're just nice to me during the week. Just try. Give it a shot.

01:47:05

This is basically.

01:47:05

That's Aaron Glenn.

01:47:06

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:47:07

Well, he was.

01:47:08

Yeah.

01:47:08

He said. He did say the media is negative. He's like, the media is going to be negative. I'm not. I'm saying you should be like, media. Can you try to be positive even though we're owing three.

01:47:20

Got it.

01:47:21

Yeah.

01:47:22

Trey Turner, lie to me for a week and tell me I'm good at my job because, like, it's like seeing a shot go through the hoop once you see one go in. Oh, I can do this. I can hit this shot. I would love to coach his team.

01:47:33

I would love to see a head coach, though, be more aggressive with the media. Like, like, actively dig up dirt on the reporters that are saying bad things about him. And then just like, being. Look, the fake. The fake news.

01:47:44

Yeah.

01:47:44

Is making you think I'm a bad football coach, but actually, this guy has three DUIs.

01:47:49

Yeah.

01:47:50

So who are you gonna trust?

01:47:51

Yeah.

01:47:52

Like, get real aggressive.

01:47:53

Yeah.

01:47:53

Be like, hey, hey, Peter in the front row. How's your wife doing? You guys still doing date night? That's not what I heard.

01:48:00

Mm.

01:48:01

Just hit him back. Care to comment? Care to comment on your wife taking a liking to pilates and having a male instructor? Care to comment?

01:48:12

I'm looking at your resume. It looks like you've been at four different newspapers in the last 10 years. You have trouble holding down a job, buddy. Your reporting might not be that good.

01:48:22

Hey, Joe in the back row. You went to Mizzou in the 80s. Coke much? You ever do cocaine, Joe? Just start fucking hitting them with it.

01:48:34

Mm. Yeah.

01:48:35

Sarah from the Tennessean, your paper is losing money left and right. You're trying to go to a subscription model, Sarah.

01:48:43

Yeah.

01:48:44

No one's buying it.

01:48:45

Yeah.

01:48:45

Hey, guess what, loser? People are. People are. People are bypassing the paywall because your shit sucks.

01:48:51

Yeah.

01:48:52

Ever heard of Click here for reader view.

01:48:55

This is what we need to do. We need to. Coaches start fighting back.

01:48:58

Yeah.

01:48:59

Back to the media.

01:48:59

Get real, real mean with it.

01:49:01

Yeah.

01:49:01

Real fucking mean.

01:49:02

I'm sure.

01:49:03

Everything fake news.

01:49:04

Yeah.

01:49:04

The fans will. They'll love you.

01:49:05

She's like, we won that game. No, sir. You lost 4,120. We won it.

01:49:09

In my eyes, it was the biggest blowout this season.

01:49:13

We.

01:49:13

That's how we execute in all three phases. Many are saying that it's the. It's the best coach team that they've seen since Bill Belichick.

01:49:20

Yeah. All right.

01:49:22

Speaking of biggest blowouts, Vikings 48, Bengals 10. This game was crazy because it's crazy to see 48 10. You're like, no chance. Bengals had no chance. The Bengals played really, really bad. Jake Browning did not have a very good game. Carson Wentz back. But there was a moment in this game, it was 17 to 3 at the end of the. I think it was. Let me see what time it was. I think it was like in the second quarter, 17 3, and the Bengals were going in, they were driving, and it was like, okay. Even Jim Nance even said on the broadcast, he's like, we could have something here. Like the Bengals could be fighting back and be in this game. So it's 17:3, they're driving, and Isaiah Rogers makes a play on the ball. Scoop and score. 66 yard touchdown. Which by the way, he also had a. A pick six for 87 yards. He had a. Pff. Grading of 99.9. First ever. So that's.

01:50:26

That's pending review from the all 22.

01:50:28

Pending review from the all 22. But either way. So the. It's 17 to 3. It's the. It's actually after the two minute warning in the. In the second quarter. So they're. The Bengals are going in for a touchdown to make it 17 to 10. At halftime, the scoop and score happens. The halftime score goes from. It could have been 17 to 10. The halftime scores 34 to 3 because the scooping score happens. Then the Bengals fumble again. Then a touchdown. Then they fumble Again in a field goal.

01:51:01

Yeah.

01:51:02

So he happened all like bang, bang, bang in the last two minutes and then the game was over and the Vikings fucking killed it.

01:51:08

So he had two returns for touchdowns, and I think he had also two forced fumbles for touchdowns, one force fumble for touchdown, one force fumble for touchdown, one pick for a touchdown, and then another force fumble. Yeah, not for a touchdown.

01:51:20

Yeah. Yeah.

01:51:21

That is the best first half defensively that you could possibly have.

01:51:24

It was crazy. And they. They just absolutely took it to him. Carson Wentz, he wasn't. He didn't have like the craziest stat line, but he was efficient.

01:51:31

He played good enough.

01:51:31

He's 14 for 20.

01:51:32

They said he's going to get another opportunity. They're not putting J.J. mcCarthy back in until week seven. Possibly.

01:51:38

Yeah, he's traveling to. I was confused by this. They said he's traveling to Europe to keep rehabbing, but he's also not going to probably play until. So the Vikings play back to back Europe games. So they're going on the road. Then they get their BI week. So JJ's going with the team to Europe, rehabbing, not going to play. And then maybe after the bi week.

01:52:00

He plays, he's probably get that Christian McCaffrey Italian blood spinning thing. Yeah, that's. That's what's going on over there.

01:52:07

No, that would. Because if I were Jason McCarthy, I'd be like, can I not go? Like, I don't really want. I have a newborn. I don't really want to go to Europe just to continue to rehab.

01:52:15

I think. I think J.J. mcCarthy's injury status is going to be directly linked to if the Minnesota Vikings are winning playoff games or not winning regular season games.

01:52:24

Yeah.

01:52:25

Carson Wentz, how he plays.

01:52:26

Yeah. How is Carson Wentz? If Carson Wentz is not playing good, then JJ's injury might start to feel a lot better.

01:52:31

Yeah.

01:52:31

All of a sudden.

01:52:32

Yeah.

01:52:33

Which. It's like, good times create soft men. Soft times create. Carson wins. Carson Wentz creates tough times. Tough times create hard men.

01:52:40

Yep.

01:52:41

So right now we're in the. Soft men create Carson Wentz.

01:52:47

That makes sense.

01:52:47

Part of that life cycle. And then once he falls off, then JJ's back in.

01:52:51

Yeah.

01:52:51

And then he'll be. He'll be fixed by the time he gets back. Carson Wentz did play good today. He did what he was asked to do. I will admit that. That even though I don't like the sound of his name or paying attention to him or looking at him, Max or his shins, he's Good.

01:53:05

He was. He was good.

01:53:07

He was good today. He played well today.

01:53:08

I'm.

01:53:09

I am happy for Carson Wentz.

01:53:10

I'm not.

01:53:11

I'm not happy to watch him play, but I'm happy for him as a person.

01:53:17

I don't believe you.

01:53:18

You're probably right.

01:53:19

You don't like him. You don't like him.

01:53:20

Yeah, you're probably right. But. But I said that I was happy for him.

01:53:23

That's a nice thing. That's a nice thing for you to say.

01:53:25

That should count for something.

01:53:26

I am happy for him.

01:53:28

Did your.

01:53:28

Your.

01:53:28

What was it called?

01:53:29

The.

01:53:30

The Wednesday. He didn't. He didn't throw in the second half.

01:53:33

I love. Yeah, he had the, like, the Carla was right there.

01:53:36

Yeah.

01:53:39

Car now Wensley kind of pops the Wednesday.

01:53:42

I said all I had. All I had to say was Wednesday in front of Hank. And Hank.

01:53:45

Yeah.

01:53:45

No, that road hard because the Carla. You don't know who that's out to be. Yeah, it could be anyone.

01:53:53

The car Slay, I thought about.

01:53:55

That would be confusing as well, though, when Slay works.

01:53:59

Yeah. Slay.

01:54:00

Yeah. No, they didn't have to play in the second half because they just dominated. The Vikings had. They were the first team in NFL history to have two past touchdowns, two rush touchdowns, two defensive touchdowns, two made field goals, all before the fourth quarter. That's how. That's how like dominant they were. And the Vikings also. I don't really know what to make of them. They had week one where they played like dog shit for three quarters and then beat the Bears because JJ McCarthy was awesome. Week two, they looked like absolute ass against the Falcons. Week three, they look like the best team in the world. And kick the shit out of the Bengals. Yeah, it was.

01:54:36

I mean, it got so out of hand that they put in Max Brosmer. Yeah, Max Brosmer did cleanup duty day. Doesn't bode well for. For Desmond Ritter.

01:54:45

No.

01:54:45

But I think having Desmond Ritter as your backup would be the best insurance plan. Yeah, like people are going to be. Your teammates will block hard for you. If Desmond Ritters is salivating on the.

01:54:54

Sidelines, Kevin o' Connell might be doing that just to keep his personal confidence in Carson Wentz.

01:55:00

Yeah, you're not getting.

01:55:01

You watch his. Desmond Ritter. He's like, you know what? It's not that bad.

01:55:03

Also, shout out to Cam Akers. He didn't have like a great game today or anything, but he did have five carries. Cam Makers has just left the Vikings and come back to the Vikings, I think three times in the last three years. So, yeah, he. He was with the Vikings in 2023, and that's when the Rams traded him there. Then he signed with the Texans in the 2024 offseason. Then he got traded back to Minnesota, and then he didn't have a job, and now he's back in Minnesota.

01:55:32

I like that.

01:55:32

Good for him.

01:55:33

Like when guys do that.

01:55:34

Yeah.

01:55:34

I don't really know what to make of the Bengals. It feels like I. I had, like, a little hope that Jake Browning. Hey, if you can tread water for a while, and maybe he still will. But I don't. I don't think. I think this is going to be a tough, tough uphill battle for the Bengals to try to be in any type of playoff spot for Joe Burrow to come back.

01:55:58

Yeah, I don't. I don't see it. I mean, they got. I say hit the Mike White button.

01:56:04

Yeah, right.

01:56:05

That's the button that.

01:56:06

The James button.

01:56:07

Well, the Jameis button's not getting pressed.

01:56:09

The James button should be pressed.

01:56:11

That's.

01:56:11

That'd be too far.

01:56:12

They don't like J. We like Jake Brown. He's a nice guy. But, like, hit the James button for at least the. The Monday night games we have coming up.

01:56:19

Yeah, I would love to see that. But the fact that they went out there and they got, like, three different Mike Whites to be his backup. When your quarterback is like an iteration. Iteration of Mike White.

01:56:29

Yeah.

01:56:30

I feel like that's not going to happen with James.

01:56:33

Yeah.

01:56:34

Okay. Afternoon games. So Vikings early. We. Hank, you should be pumped. We just get your football just coming up. Just onslaught of it right in our fucking face.

01:56:46

Okay, wait.

01:56:47

Right in our face. Viking, Steelers, I believe, or football? No.

01:56:51

Same amount of football throughout the day.

01:56:54

What about the Ryder Cup? Will you be watching Ryder cup or will you be watching football?

01:56:58

Both.

01:56:58

Who are you rooting for? The Rider Cup.

01:57:00

One TV guy?

01:57:01

No. Hank. Yeah, me neither.

01:57:03

Who are you betting on?

01:57:05

Usa.

01:57:06

You promise?

01:57:08

Promise.

01:57:09

Promise. That might change.

01:57:12

Promise.

01:57:13

You're not gonna.

01:57:13

You're not gonna bet on guys from Europe in their individual matches?

01:57:17

No. Oh, that looks like you might.

01:57:22

I won't.

01:57:22

Okay.

01:57:25

Afternoon games.

01:57:27

You sure? Yeah. Okay.

01:57:29

Chargers 23, Broncos 20. I gotta say, Justin, Herbert's just fucking awesome.

01:57:37

Whose line is that?

01:57:38

Yeah. What? Ryder.

01:57:40

Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. Now he's looking for it. Us is minus 145. Oh, you're definitely going to bet Europe.

01:57:50

I'm not going to.

01:57:51

I'm not going to. I'm not going.

01:57:52

But if you had to. Which side Would you bet?

01:57:55

What do you mean?

01:57:56

If you, if you were. If you had. No, no one ever knew what you were going to bet. Just. You got to bet it. You love Europe plus. What is it? Plus 160, 150.

01:58:09

Plus 150 you love. I love plus signs. So that's like, that's not fair for.

01:58:14

You to bet a tie.

01:58:15

For you to.

01:58:16

What could be more European than betting a draw?

01:58:19

Oh, because I'm not European.

01:58:20

11 to 1 USA.

01:58:24

I just love plus signs, period. Doesn't matter what the stakes are. But no, I'll find. I'll find some. I'll find some fun plus signs.

01:58:32

Okay.

01:58:32

Within. Within the game.

01:58:34

Yeah.

01:58:34

Justin Herbert is awesome.

01:58:35

That throw he made to Keenan Allen. And if you're. You're listening this right now, you didn't see it. I'm sure most of the people who are listening did see it. But if you didn't go watch it, that was one of the best throws I think I've ever seen. And I know that sounds very crazy. Does that sound crazy, Hank? No, no, no. He's still looking at lines. Yeah, that was one of the best throws I've ever seen. Because the way he was, he was under pressure, had to step up, then had a guy in his face, had to throw basically off platform to Keenan Allen. That wasn't even open for a touchdown to tie the game with three minutes left in the fourth quarter.

01:59:10

Yeah, it was incredible. He just shrugged a guy off and.

01:59:12

Shrugged a guy off. Then this guy was in his face.

01:59:14

Throwing with his right arm as he's drifting to the left left while getting hit. It was, it was very impressive. And yeah, the Chargers are now. They have a stranglehold. They do. They got a stranglehold on the AFC West. It's awesome for them that they got started. They started their entire season with three games and three games against opponents that they would be facing in the division.

01:59:37

Yeah.

01:59:38

And that they're 3.

01:59:38

0.

01:59:39

It's going to be very tough for them to get out of that. For other teams to get out of that hole.

01:59:44

Yeah.

01:59:44

First off, that first time the chargers have a two game lead in the division since 2009. That. Which is also the last time they won the AFC West.

01:59:52

That's crazy. Derwin James should be the defensive player of the year.

01:59:56

He's awesome.

01:59:56

After three games. If, if the, if the season ended today, I'd be very upset because that takes away a lot of football from us. But yeah, Today he had 12 tackles, he had four tackles for loss. Everything that Fred Smooth said about Derwin James.

02:00:08

Yep.

02:00:09

Multiply that by three right now, because I think he might be the best defensive player in football.

02:00:13

Yeah, Memes. Can you grab Shane? Because I did have a Chargers fan hit me up and was like, hey, can you get Shane in to talk about the Chargers? Because I need to get more pumped up about the Chargers. I was like, you know what? For all of our Chargers fans out there, you should get more pumped up about the Chargers. This team's really fucking good. Justin Herbert. Like, the Broncos were playing great defense in terms of, like, pressure. They were. I feel like Justin Herbert was harassed on almost every single drop back. I went and looked it up. It was 54% pressure rate. So it was half his drop backs. He was just, you know, under pressure. Guys not open. The final two drives to. They were down, what, 2013. So they needed a touchdown and a field goal. The final two drives, 8 for 9, 93 yards in a touchdown, including that throw to Keenan Allen. Shane, we're just talking up the Chargers. And someone treated me as like, hey, can you get Shane on when you talk about the Chargers to pump us up. Pump us up.

02:01:08

Shane.

02:01:09

That was sick.

02:01:11

It was awesome. Like, those years with Brandon Staley just did a damage on me. And to actually, like, come out and win those games, it's like. It's just crazy.

02:01:21

Yeah.

02:01:21

Because it did feel very Chargers. Like, for a minute there, where you were controlling the game. Then the end of the half happens where you give up. There's a miscommunication in the back half of the defense. Cortland Sutton gets the most wide open touchdown. So you're going into the halftime, you were going to be up 10 nothing, right?

02:01:40

Yeah.

02:01:40

And then. And then it's 10, 7. You're like, what the fuck just happened? Then the Broncos come out and score 10 more points right away. So it's a 170 run for the Broncos. You're like, this Charger team is going to quit. But no, Justin Herbert's that special.

02:01:53

Yeah.

02:01:53

At least, like, since the Anthony Lynn era, it's always been like, Chargers control a game, and then a broken play on defense just, like, changed the whole thing. We can't get momentum back. And, like, ever since Harbaugh took over, it's just.

02:02:04

Yeah.

02:02:04

Like, completely different.

02:02:05

Do you think that Harbaugh has unlocked Quentin Johnson?

02:02:09

I think it has to be.

02:02:10

Yeah. Yeah.

02:02:11

He's awesome.

02:02:12

Is he fully unlocked now?

02:02:13

I think.

02:02:13

Did you see that?

02:02:14

He had made, like, a. He masked a guy.

02:02:16

Yeah.

02:02:17

He lost a guy.

02:02:18

Yeah.

02:02:18

I couldn't believe my eyes.

02:02:19

It was.

02:02:19

It was crazy.

02:02:20

Did he Moss. Moss.

02:02:22

It might have been.

02:02:24

That would be.

02:02:24

Yeah, Moss squared. It would be Moss. Moss. M A s M O S s the most Moss you can possibly be.

02:02:31

Yeah.

02:02:32

Now, so his rookie year, I looked up his stats his rookie year, Quentin Johnson. Guess how many yards he had his rookie.

02:02:39

I think he had like 550.

02:02:40

It was 431 yards receiving. His second year, Harbaugh gets there, he's got 711 yards, eight touchdowns as opposed to two touchdowns his rookie year. Seven hundred and eleven. Still not probably what you want out of him. Ideally. Right. For what you. What you spin on him in the draft.

02:02:56

Right.

02:02:57

Right now he's on pace for 1354 yards and 17 touchdowns.

02:03:01

That's pretty good.

02:03:02

It's really good.

02:03:03

That's pretty good.

02:03:03

So, like, it might be crazy to say that Quentin Johnston might be a wide receiver one.

02:03:08

Yeah.

02:03:09

I mean, as bad he's been in the past, you can't like deny that he's just. He's gradually gotten better and better and I mean, hopefully even better.

02:03:16

Yeah.

02:03:16

And last year it was like, that was the bugaboo about the Chargers. They didn't have guys support Justin Herbert. Now Quinn Johnson looks awesome, lads. Awesome. Keenan Allen is awesome again. It's crazy.

02:03:30

Yeah.

02:03:30

Last year is just like a weapons problem. I feel now that we have like, we kind of solidified the wide receiver room and everything just opens up so many more things.

02:03:37

Also, did you know that this stat, it was going around earlier this week that Jim Harbaugh has more rushing yards than Bo Jackson?

02:03:43

Yeah. Yeah.

02:03:44

That's pretty cool.

02:03:45

Yeah, very cool. Okay, so you're pumped.

02:03:48

So pumped.

02:03:49

Win the AFC West.

02:03:50

I hope so, man.

02:03:51

I mean, you got a stranglehold. You're up two games.

02:03:54

I know, I know. I'm trying to. Trying to limit expectations here, but what happens. Very excited.

02:04:00

If Justin and Madison break up.

02:04:03

We can't let that happen.

02:04:04

Can't let that happen.

02:04:06

She was in the building today too.

02:04:07

Yeah.

02:04:07

Oh, yeah.

02:04:08

She saw it all.

02:04:08

Yeah.

02:04:08

There we go. Did you wear your lucky rings today?

02:04:15

All right.

02:04:15

Okay.

02:04:16

All right. See?

02:04:16

All right. See ya.

02:04:18

That was a good segment.

02:04:19

Yeah. Yeah.

02:04:20

Just bolt up with Shade.

02:04:22

Bolt up.

02:04:22

Bolt up with.

02:04:23

Charge him if you got him large.

02:04:24

And if you got them.

02:04:26

What'd you say, Shane?

02:04:28

Bolt up.

02:04:28

Yeah, bolt up.

02:04:29

Let's go.

02:04:30

Beat the charges.

02:04:30

High voltage.

02:04:32

High voltage. With Shane. That was.

02:04:33

I mean.

02:04:33

Yeah, I wanted to. I wanted to pump it up. Pump it up.

02:04:36

It deserves pumping.

02:04:38

Yeah.

02:04:38

They're a very good team. Broncos. So defense was there.

02:04:45

Nick Bonita had a really good game.

02:04:46

Yep. Bo Nix, he could have easily won this game if he just hits a couple of those deep balls. There was a couple. That one with, like, two minutes left. That was the game.

02:04:58

He had that one nice pass. That was to Sutton. Right.

02:05:00

But that was his wide open. Is wide open.

02:05:02

It's a good throw.

02:05:03

Yeah.

02:05:04

But not like, that's one. You got to look back. He's going to watch that and be like, I had this game.

02:05:09

Yeah. I went.

02:05:10

I had guys wide open.

02:05:11

They could say that about this game. They could say that about last week's game.

02:05:15

Yep.

02:05:15

What they do, though, is in these games, they don't really adjust no matter how. How good the opposing quarterback is dealing with the blitz. Vance Joseph's just like, fuck it. Let's just dial it up again. Yeah, he loves to dial it up. He leads the league and dialing it up. And against Daniel Jones last week didn't work. Against Herbert, this week also didn't work. The good news for them is that the AFC is not particularly strong right now. I still think that if you just look at their schedule, they have probably eight to nine more games that they should win, and they might be able to steal one or two.

02:05:50

Yeah.

02:05:50

I just think very much, if you're.

02:05:52

A Broncos fan, you just. You want Bo Nicks to take a step forward from last year, which was a very good year. And, like, this was a game that he's your franchise quarterback. He could have easily won this game. Like, there was moments where he had guys and he just has to hit them.

02:06:09

Yeah.

02:06:10

These are. These are two games that you've had week by week that you can point to at the end of the season. Be like, this is why we're not hosting a playoff game.

02:06:17

Yeah. Yeah.

02:06:18

Okay. We can do this game quickly. Seahawks 44, Saints 13. I'm done with the Saints. I don't know why I bet on the Saints. I shouldn't have bet on the Saints. This game was over so fast. Blink of an eye. Game was done. It was so crazy. The Seahawks had in the. In the first half, they ran 21 plays. Total 7 minutes and 41. 7 minutes and 41 seconds. Time of possession, the score was 2:38 to 6.

02:06:52

Is a bad, bad game. Bad pick that I gave out on part of my take on Friday. I feel like an idiot.

02:07:00

Well, we were all with you.

02:07:01

I feel like an idiot for betting on the Saints. They also just had the most frustrating coaching decision after the game was lost. The game was the game.

02:07:09

Oh, yeah, yeah. So yeah, I want to talk about what you're about to talk about. Let me just explain how quickly the game was lost. It went. The start of the game was Saints turnover on down, Seahawks touchdown, Seahawks punt return. Touchdown, Seahawks block punt. And then they scored. Two plays later, the Seahawks had their first four offensive possessions. They scored four touchdowns on 15 total plays. And then also throw in the fact there was a punt return in those in the middle of that. So that's how you get 38 to 6 at halftime.

02:07:40

Yeah, it was bad. 21 points in the first quarter. The game never felt like it was competitive. You can't even really blame Spencer Rattler too much for this loss. It is. He is 0 and 9 as a starter. 09 is starter for Rattler, but this was more about everything else. And then he came in and didn't really help things that much. But Kellen Moore and his decision making was absolutely bizarre. So they were down 35 to 3. Actually, you know what, the first one, they were down 32 to three, right?

02:08:12

Yeah.

02:08:13

First one, it was. It was fourth and what, four?

02:08:17

Yeah.

02:08:17

Around the 30ish. Somewhere in there. And he sends his kicker, Blake Groupie out there to attempt a field goal. And everybody was like, what the are you doing? The people that were announcing the game, I don't know who the commentators were, but they said, you know, getting points is going to be good for momentum. I know why Kellen Moore is going to do this. He was trying to turn a. A four score game into a three score game. I think that's what his rationale was. Then they missed that field goal.

02:08:45

Yep.

02:08:45

Which is ball. Don't lie. Like, you should not have tried that field goal. Saddest field goal of the week by far. And then he had the saddest field goal maybe that I've ever seen. He was down 35 to 3. It was 4th and 2. Was the ball on. Was the ball in like the.

02:09:01

It was like the three yard line.

02:09:02

Three yard line.

02:09:03

Yeah.

02:09:03

With like five.

02:09:04

Because it wasn't fourth and goal, was it? It was fourth and two. But it was inside the ten.

02:09:09

Yeah.

02:09:09

It was the end of the half.

02:09:10

Into the half, ball inside the 10. And he sends his field goal unit out there to cut it to 35 to 6.

02:09:19

It was quite something. It was the saddest field goes. Hank, if you need a dia. Diarrhea break.

02:09:24

Yeah. Go.

02:09:25

Diarrhea break. Go. Hey, listen, we all got something. What are you doing?

02:09:28

Go, go.

02:09:29

Why Are you okay? Oh, no. He's like poop.

02:09:32

The way he got up hearing about this field goal.

02:09:35

He didn't want to hear about the set field goals.

02:09:37

He did not. But yeah, it was.

02:09:39

No, it was crazy.

02:09:40

A 21 yard field goal. They were down 38 to 3. Yeah, I don't, I don't know how much more you can give up on a game than that.

02:09:47

No, they were as given up as possible. By the way, the one you're talking about at the end of the half, that wasn't fourth down. It was first down. They just had ran out of time. There's three seconds left. It was first and goal from the five.

02:09:58

So the other one was fourth and two.

02:09:59

That. Yeah, yeah.

02:10:00

No, it's first and goal from the five. And they were just like, you know what, we're just going to try to, we're going to try to get some more points on the board here because we really want to just get more points on the board. I don't know.

02:10:09

First one, they were down 35 to 3. Was a 32 point game.

02:10:14

Yeah.

02:10:14

So they were trying to make it a 29 point game.

02:10:16

Correct.

02:10:17

Which I guess in that case that's, that's making a four score game. A four score game.

02:10:22

I'm really bad at math.

02:10:24

No, it's.

02:10:26

No, no, no, that's a, that's a five score game.

02:10:29

Okay.

02:10:29

33 points is five score.

02:10:30

Okay.

02:10:31

So then 32 is the most you can get at a four score.

02:10:33

And then they were down 38 to three.

02:10:35

Yeah.

02:10:36

At the 21 yard field.

02:10:37

You got to get points. He was going double side field goal in the first half.

02:10:41

It's.

02:10:42

It's the saddest field goal I can ever remember.

02:10:44

Yeah, yeah, it was in the Seahawks. Yeah, they just, they look good. Sam Darnold look good. He didn't really have to do much. Like it was, it was that fast and that quick that they jumped on them. Like I said, 15 plays in their first four drives. 15 plays total, all touchdowns. That's as efficient as efficient could get.

02:11:03

It's.

02:11:04

Yeah.

02:11:04

Crazy.

02:11:05

Yeah, they.

02:11:05

Yeah, I mean, 38 points and they had the ball for seven minutes in the first half. 38 points, seven minutes. That's insane. So Seahawks, Saints, I'm done with you. I had him in Frisky. I no longer have him in Frisky. That was. They're out of Frisky.

02:11:20

Let's try to find the Saints first win.

02:11:22

Okay. Seahawks Thursday Night Football coming up against the Cardinals to kind of get themselves what they be three and one then be looking pretty good.

02:11:34

They're at the Bills next week.

02:11:36

No.

02:11:36

Saints at Bills.

02:11:37

No.

02:11:37

Then they have the Giants at home.

02:11:41

That could be Jackson Dart, which because we're going to talk about them, the Giants real quick.

02:11:45

Then they have the Patriots at home.

02:11:48

No.

02:11:49

Then they're at the Bears.

02:11:51

That might actually be it. Just so fuck us. But probably not. No. They'll win one of these. Giants, Patriots, Bears, I think feels like one of those. They could find a way to win. But if they don't win that bucks, Rams is tough. Yeah, they got to win one of those three. They got to win one of those three. The Giants, Patriots.

02:12:13

I think Giants at home is what if you're a Saints fan, you're circling that one.

02:12:15

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

02:12:18

By the way, the, the, the Saints. Let's see. I'm looking up the line right now. The Saints at the bills, 15 and a half.

02:12:26

I'm gonna take the Bills.

02:12:29

It's tough. It's tough. All right, do the last two ads and we'll do last two games and we'll do who's back of the week.

02:14:20

Okay. Niners, Cardinals. Niners 16, Cardinals 15. This was a rock fight. Max just kept on saying as we were watching this game, these are two, two zero teams.

02:14:29

They're two, two and oh team, oh, team. And now the 49 are a three zero team.

02:14:34

Three zero.

02:14:35

And there but for the grace of God, goes Mac Jones. Yeah, they asked him about the pick that he threw there and he goes, I can't say that guy made a great play because I just threw the ball right at him. Yeah, he just made a play. The play that he should have made on my pass. The 49ers got very lucky to win this game.

02:14:51

They were. They went to Mac Jones hell and somehow came out of it because we had Mac Jones throw a bad interception, Mac Jones get a safety, which is actually a holding in the end zone, and then Mac Jones lead them on a game winning drive. So they went, they. They literally went through Mac Jones hell and came out the other side.

02:15:10

They did it all. Ricky Pearsall had a big game today.

02:15:12

He was awesome.

02:15:13

That was, that was cool to see. And yeah, good, good for Kyle Shanahan for not letting Jake Moody sour him on letting kickers attempt field goals at the end of games. Yeah, because Eddie Pinero drilled a big one in this game. And yeah, the Niners are. They are technically three and.

02:15:30

Oh, they are.

02:15:31

Listen, I think the Niners, once they get healthy, are going to be very good, legit team. They, they're. They mean, they, they basically their offense, they have Mac Jones throwing the ball and they have Ricky Pierce hall has to catch the ball, which he's good, but. And then they have to just hope that Christian McCaffrey can do everything because they couldn't really run the ball today and put. Christian McCaffrey still ended up with 27 touches for 140 yards because he caught the ball a bunch, too. I think he had like 10 receptions.

02:16:00

He had 88 yards receiving.

02:16:01

Yeah.

02:16:02

And he had the one that made the difference at the End.

02:16:04

Yeah.

02:16:04

That got them into field goal territory. The 40. Or. Excuse me, the Cardinals. I heard Hank. Hank was actually saying this earlier.

02:16:12

He's back from his stinger break. Hank was talking about, how's the ria. That was the diarrhea. It's.

02:16:19

It's not great.

02:16:19

It's. It's not great. Hey, I. I don't want to.

02:16:22

You know, we all got something.

02:16:22

No, no one wants to hear about it here to talk football. But there's. There's sometimes when, you know, it's an enjoyable experience sitting on. Sitting on the. Sitting on the loo. And there's other times where it's just pain and you think you're never going to smile again, and it's just.

02:16:35

It's.

02:16:36

You got demons in your stomach.

02:16:37

Listen, I get the. The, like, goosebumps and the cold sweats.

02:16:40

Yeah.

02:16:40

Just the bubbles and. Listen, people, people, the sweating is.

02:16:44

Is when, you know, it's like a panic sweat, too.

02:16:47

Yeah.

02:16:47

It's like you. Things are about to go real bad real fast. It's like your body is in fight or flight mode.

02:16:52

Yeah.

02:16:53

And listen, I know that we make this. This whole operation look glamorous, but it takes a lot to sit on a couch all day and eat pizza, wings, chipotle ice cream and survive. And you know what? God gives its toughest battles to his strongest warriors.

02:17:10

I don't know if you guys talked about it already, but it was. It was. The no safety call against the Cardinals was absolute horseshit.

02:17:18

What do you mean?

02:17:20

Kyler Murray threw intentional ground from the end zone. Yeah, and they didn't call it intentional grounding, which I don't. I still don't understand.

02:17:32

Yeah.

02:17:32

And then the 49ers got called for safety. They Cardinals got two points.

02:17:37

That was a good call.

02:17:38

49Ers, and that was a good call, but they're both safeties.

02:17:43

Yeah.

02:17:43

No, I didn't understand the Kyler Murray one either, because it was every second of difference.

02:17:49

Yeah. It was absolute horseshit.

02:17:50

Yeah. So. So Kyler Murray, he. He ran back into the end zone.

02:17:54

He threw the ball from the end.

02:17:55

Zone, and then he had those intentional grounding. Then he had two feet in the end zone as he launched the pass.

02:17:59

I guess the ball wasn't in the end zone when he threw it.

02:18:02

As he threw it, the ball crossed the white line.

02:18:04

No, it was all the way out. It was out before that.

02:18:06

Yeah.

02:18:07

Like, the ball was out of the end zone as he was throwing it. Like, he started his motion, but, you know, it's confusing.

02:18:13

To us, because we're thinking about, like, basketball. If your feet are behind that line, that means that you're in that area.

02:18:19

Right.

02:18:20

But in this case, was it the ball? Is that what they tried?

02:18:22

So if his knee. If he was tackled right there, that wouldn't have been a safety.

02:18:25

It would have been a safety because.

02:18:27

Where the ball is, I think it's the spot of the ball.

02:18:32

Parallax angle.

02:18:33

No, but it's the spot of the ball. This is how safeties always work when you're. There's so many times when you think you have a safety and they're like, no, the ball got out. Like, the guy got tackled in the end zone, but the ball got out. We've seen it a million times.

02:18:46

It was close to a safety. Should have been safety, but they won the game anyway, so it's okay.

02:18:50

Well, they didn't cover. I heard it coming from.

02:18:54

I heard Hanks saying this earlier. I. I wasn't saying this. I know Big Cat was not saying this earlier, But Marvin Harrison Jr. Might suck, dude.

02:19:01

I did.

02:19:02

I don't. I don't think.

02:19:03

I think he just drops balls.

02:19:04

I think he's great. I think he's an awesome.

02:19:05

I'm not scared to say it. Apparently you are, but yeah.

02:19:07

Yeah, I am.

02:19:08

Yes.

02:19:10

And James Conner got hurt, which sucks. I always root for James Conner, but, yeah. Marvin Harrison, juniors.

02:19:16

The one drop that he had was he has the yips.

02:19:19

You said it earlier.

02:19:20

He has the yips.

02:19:21

Both him and.

02:19:22

Yeah.

02:19:22

Brian Thomas.

02:19:24

Yeah.

02:19:25

Not good on that.

02:19:27

On that one that he dropped, he was definitely too open on that.

02:19:31

But the other one, the other one, when they called the defensive pass or the pass interference on his teammate that got like, interfere with in the end zone, and he still had a perfectly catchable ball. Like a receiver should catch that NFL receiver probably nine times out of 10.

02:19:50

Like, everything that we were scared of happening with Jamar Chase when he got to the NFL where he's like, yeah, there's stripes on the ball. It's a different ball. It's kind of weird. That's what's happened to Marvin Harrison Jr. It's really strange.

02:20:01

He was solid last year, too. Like, he wasn't that bad. He's been horrible.

02:20:04

He wasn't great last year.

02:20:06

Yeah.

02:20:06

Cardinals fans would disagree with your. They'd be like, no, I. I had.

02:20:09

Him on my fantasy team. I thought he. I thought he contributed. Did okay.

02:20:13

He helped you out.

02:20:13

Yeah.

02:20:14

This year is terrible because he doesn't have your coaching.

02:20:17

Yeah.

02:20:18

I'm not buying The Cardinals, I haven't been all year.

02:20:22

Like I said, they play.

02:20:23

I mean, they played the Niners tough, but it was Mac Jones, too. Matt Jones tried to give him that game.

02:20:28

There was also an injury to Nick Bosa.

02:20:31

Yeah.

02:20:32

But I don't think it was like an acl.

02:20:33

He did thumbs down.

02:20:34

Yeah.

02:20:35

That's the thing. It's like he was walking off the field. He saw somebody in the stands. They got him on camera. He hit them with the Bosa shrug.

02:20:42

Yeah.

02:20:42

Which was unintentional. It wasn't like that's just what he does.

02:20:45

Yeah.

02:20:46

As he did the shrug. And then he goes thumbs down on my knee. So I think everybody thought, okay, maybe this is bad. I think he's going to be back.

02:20:53

But 49ers just have the worst luck.

02:20:55

Yeah.

02:20:57

With all their injuries, the bucks and the 49ers, I feel like just all. They just have group injuries.

02:21:02

Yeah.

02:21:04

All right, Last game, Bears 31, Cowboys 14. Bears won their gateway game. Gateway game happened. Now everything is back open season's back open. That was very fun. Watch. Caleb looked awesome. Ben Johnson, I feel like he. He was like, you know what? Fuck it. Let's just be ourselves. Also, we're playing the Cowboys. They suck on defense.

02:21:25

And.

02:21:26

Yeah, it was awesome.

02:21:26

Their defense was so bad today.

02:21:28

So bad.

02:21:29

The Cowboys, they are bad.

02:21:30

Yeah. Yeah.

02:21:31

And Caleb. But I'm not. I'm not even saying that to take away from anything that Caleb did because he was making great plays with his legs. He was making great plays, keeping his eyes down the field and solid throws. But also, the Cowboys defense is bad. Two things can be true. And I think Caleb was really, really good today, and he did that against the playoff team and the Cowboys. Jerry Jones said after the game he was still fully believes that the Cowboys are a player.

02:21:53

Oh, okay.

02:21:54

So that's good.

02:21:55

I do not. Do not believe that. But yeah, it was fun. I mean, Caleb looked awesome. His. He was making the right reads. He had obviously that trick play, which was crazy. DeAndre Swift. I do not think he was supposed to put that much air on the flea flicker pass backwards.

02:22:11

Yeah.

02:22:13

And I was like, oh, fuck. Oh, fuck. And then Caleb just ripped it to Luther Burden. Ripped another one. Roma Dunes A. That touchdown Nicole Comet. Like, as cool as the trick play was, and it was awesome. I thought the Bears. The thing that I was most excited about were the two drives their. For their last drive in the first half and their first drive in the second half. Because the last drive in the first half was like a classic Moment where it actually. Our good friend Tom Fornelli texted me during the like before we got the ball. He's like, let's go get six. And they did. And afterwards he's like, have we this ever happened where we've been like, hey, let's go get six. And we actually did, but it was 1714, two and a half minutes left. And the Bears just went down the field and scored a touchdown. And they scored on a fourth down. And it was. Or actually no, the fourth down was later, but they scored. It was the Cold comet touchdown. They. Seven plays, 71 yards, touchdown drive. It was like, holy shit. They had two and a half minutes left.

02:23:07

They had to get a touchdown. They wouldn't got a touchdown. And then the drive in the third quarter where they just played bully ball. And it was a 19 play drive, 9 minutes and 54 seconds. Ben Johnson was like, we've done gotten all this way. We're going to go for it on 4th and goal. Kill shot 3114. Game over. That was awesome. It was just very, very fun. It was the first. No, I'm not going to say it because then I'm. The packers fans are going to use this against me. It was last year, week 18. The packers weren't. I don't think they were playing for anything really. And the Bears won. This was the first time the Bears won a game where they were like still alive since London of last year, which was like week five. So it's been a long time. They've won a game where it's like, oh, now we can see what happens for the next week. And not, oh, they won a game. Then the season ended and we only won five games.

02:24:04

So what were you going to say?

02:24:05

No, that's what I was gonna say. I don't. Packers fans are gonna be like, oh, you're saying that it wasn't even a real game that you beat the Packers?

02:24:11

I think, I think they had some playoff seating stuff. There's some.

02:24:13

But I'm saying the Bears didn't have anything.

02:24:15

Yeah.

02:24:15

The Bears haven't won a game where they then were like, oh, next week, let's see if we can build on this.

02:24:20

It was. It was a great way.

02:24:21

They lost 11 in a row last year.

02:24:22

And as excited as Bears fans are to see Caleb go out there and play really well, I think they're more excited about the fact that they get free hot dogs at Wiener's Circle.

02:24:31

Yes. Yes.

02:24:31

Where if he throws four touchdowns, then the whole city of Chicago gets free hot Dogs.

02:24:37

Yeah. Winner circle, they're not gonna be able to handle.

02:24:39

They're gonna go out of business.

02:24:39

Yeah.

02:24:40

Be careful on all traffic.

02:24:42

But no, that kicked ass.

02:24:43

And.

02:24:43

And Ben Johnson out coached Matt Eberflus.

02:24:46

Yeah.

02:24:46

There was.

02:24:47

There was a funny tweet. I gotta pull it up because I bookmarked it because I want to give the guy credit. It was. Ben Devine said, finally, Matt Eberflus is developing Caleb Williams.

02:24:56

Yeah.

02:24:57

Facts.

02:24:58

Yeah, it was. It was a very impressive performance. It was awesome.

02:25:01

Yeah.

02:25:01

So Caleb had 298 yards, four touchdowns. He's got seven touchdowns on the season, one interception. He's ripping it up.

02:25:10

He said that stepping forward on that. That deep pass on the flea flicker to Luther Burden. He said that he sucked at that throw in practice. He said he underthrew him every time in practice.

02:25:19

Love it.

02:25:20

And he told him in the game, like, hey, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna under throw you on this one.

02:25:23

Yeah, I'm. I'm.

02:25:25

That's. That's a way better thing to say than in the past when he's been like, that play was awesome in practice.

02:25:30

Yeah. Yeah.

02:25:31

I'm excited. Even though you pointed out the Cowboys defense sucks.

02:25:35

I. They do.

02:25:35

I was going to wait to point that out. You pointed out right away, but I'm still excited. That was fun.

02:25:40

It was a very fun game.

02:25:42

Kind of yucked it a little bit.

02:25:44

Well, you knew. I mean, the Cowboys.

02:25:46

Yeah, I know, but I was going to say it at the end. I was going to, like, have some, like, enjoy the moment of Caleb, like, being awesome and looking.

02:25:52

I think you're being a little sensitive because I was.

02:25:53

Well, yeah. It was the first time that he's played. Looked like that, and he was awesome. Ever with Memes. Help me out here. Memes gonna.

02:26:00

Yeah, you go to Memes.

02:26:02

Quarterback's not even playing right now.

02:26:04

Go to Memes.

02:26:04

We.

02:26:05

I had one. This is the first time I've been able to be like. That was so much fun. Caleb Williams looked awesome. And I. I know it came against a bad defense.

02:26:12

I.

02:26:12

It was awesome.

02:26:13

And I. But now you have a.

02:26:13

You got a Week 4 Super bowl coming up. Because if you lose to the Raiders, this season is. It's beyond over.

02:26:22

Right.

02:26:23

I wanted to.

02:26:24

Calling the Raiders a week four Super Bowl.

02:26:26

No, I'm saying, like, I'm saying that.

02:26:28

Was way meaner than what.

02:26:29

I wanted to disagree with that, but I don't know if that. That might be true. If you stack the Raiders, you're two.

02:26:35

And two, you gotta stack. Things can happen. Yes, things can happen from two and.

02:26:40

No, that's why this.

02:26:41

This week, if you lose against the Raiders.

02:26:43

Yeah. Yes.

02:26:43

One in three seasons over.

02:26:44

Part of the gateway opening was beating. That's a Super Bowl.

02:26:47

You gotta win.

02:26:48

Yeah, yeah, you're right.

02:26:49

No, but this was the gateway.

02:26:50

No, the gateway, though, then opens you up to. Must wins to another gateway. No, no, must wins.

02:26:57

Okay?

02:26:57

Like, there's.

02:26:58

No, you can't.

02:26:59

If you.

02:26:59

If you lose the Raiders and then like week seven, like, oh, it's a game.

02:27:02

It's a must win.

02:27:02

There is no. The gate. Gate is closed.

02:27:04

Yeah, no, no, it's a must.

02:27:05

But if you lose the Raiders, then you. Are you out on thinking that you might get to 5 and 4, 6 and 3?

02:27:11

No. We'll just have to open up another gateway game.

02:27:13

Okay, Then you go. So you go back to the gateway, then must win.

02:27:15

Yeah.

02:27:16

Then if you lose open, you do.

02:27:18

A gateway game to get to a must win. Because a gateway game is not saying that you're like, have to win. It's saying if you lose, it's over.

02:27:25

But it also depends who you're playing. Like, if you were playing, you know, an Eagles, Rams, Chiefs, it wouldn't be a must win.

02:27:30

You got to beat the Raiders.

02:27:31

You got to beat the.

02:27:32

Gotta beat the.

02:27:33

What's. What's the difference between a gateway and a portal game?

02:27:37

Portals. In college, when you enter the portal and change schools.

02:27:41

But you had a portal game, I think last year.

02:27:43

I think it was a gateway game.

02:27:44

Another thing. Okay, so it's the same thing.

02:27:46

Yeah.

02:27:47

Either way, that was really fun. It was very, very enjoyable. Watch. Except for not the over. Not hitting Max. You will never talk about Joe Milton in a positive way again. You said that after what you. I texted you that and you said yes, you're right.

02:28:00

I get. I get. Until I get Wednesday. Things can change.

02:28:04

No, come on.

02:28:05

We just talked. We talked about this.

02:28:06

Fucking does the same. Same thing every time. We needed that over.

02:28:09

Seven points in the second half is disgusting. Disgusting. The Cowboys being inside the one yard line and they didn't run once is so beyond me. How do you not just run? Just try it one time especially Javante Williams has been awesome. No one cares about your bets, but that over should have hit.

02:28:31

Yeah, well.

02:28:31

And CD Lamb getting hurt was a big miss for the Cowboys. But yeah, and the Cowboys are running the ball on like our defense isn't good, so gonna have to like they were giving up six yards of carry.

02:28:44

I'll Also say that there was a buzz in the air when Joe Milton got in.

02:28:47

There was like it.

02:28:48

Well, he was slinging it.

02:28:49

It felt different. The ball.

02:28:51

The bulk. The ball flies coming out of his hands.

02:28:55

It was. It was fun. I also. That interception that he had.

02:28:58

I miss him.

02:28:58

It's because his arm's too strong. He threw it too fast. Turpin didn't get there in time. He's too good. Joe Milton's. The problem is never with Joe Milton not being able to play the game of football. The problem is the game of football not being advanced enough as a sport to adequately live up to Joe Milton's arm.

02:29:17

He also got it down to the two without.

02:29:21

He did.

02:29:21

And then there's bullshit penalty.

02:29:23

So he didn't get it to two. But he never read a play on the two.

02:29:26

But he. The ball was at the two and then.

02:29:29

But it was never spotted at the two.

02:29:31

The. The ball got to the two yards.

02:29:33

Ref never spotted the ball at the two.

02:29:35

But the football was there.

02:29:36

Okay, but. So if you just throw the ball in the air and it bounces wrong.

02:29:41

It was caught and brought to the end down at the two, at the two. And then you.

02:29:45

You gave me your word that we. You were going to quit.

02:29:48

That was. That was an emotional time.

02:29:51

Okay.

02:29:51

Okay.

02:29:52

He is awesome.

02:29:54

What she got.

02:29:55

Did you hear Tom Brady talking about him? Tom Brady was like, this guy's body is built to throw a football. Look at that arm. Long, skinny like a whip. And I was like, Tom's right.

02:30:06

It was bad pick.

02:30:07

It's a bad pick.

02:30:08

It's fine.

02:30:08

It's a Joe Milton pick. Thousand miles an hour.

02:30:11

It was awesome.

02:30:12

Right into a guy's chest.

02:30:13

Great pick.

02:30:14

He was put in a bad spot.

02:30:16

He had to force it.

02:30:17

Literally the easiest spot.

02:30:18

No, he needed to score twice.

02:30:20

No, they gave up because they put him in there was the easiest spot you could possibly be in. No one's playing anymore.

02:30:26

Joe Milton was trying to win that football game.

02:30:28

No one was playing. Yeah, fun, fun day though. I had a lot of fun. Caleb looked awesome. Ben Johnson looked like he was. Got his footing a little bit. I know it's against the Cowboys defense doesn't really count, but we're going to stack. We're going to stack something.

02:30:44

No, it counts for the reasons why I said it counted, which was that regardless of their defense, like the plays that Caleb was making were great plays.

02:30:52

Yeah, he looked good.

02:30:52

The throws were great. The running was great. Decision making was great. It was an awesome game for him.

02:30:58

I'm excited. So we'll see what happens on Sunday. Gateway game. Gateway has been opened. We'll see where we go from there. I do have a stat for you. Pft. You ready for this? Today Caleb got his 4,000th yard passing as a Bear. The Bears now lead the entire NFL with with most quarterbacks with at least 4,000 yards passing. No big deal. And they pass the Commanders with the.

02:31:24

Bears lead the NFL.

02:31:26

This is a stat from.

02:31:27

Say it again.

02:31:28

I want to.

02:31:28

I want to say. I want to shout out the guy. It's the funniest thing I've seen because it's. It's. It's a hilarious stat because it takes you. It's like a kidney shot. You have to walk away before you realize it's an insult. This was from JP analyst. The bears have more 4,000 yard passers than any other team in history. We have 21. 4,000 yard passers. The Washington Commanders have 20. No big deal. Sorry. We're number one.

02:31:55

Four have more 4,000 yard passers.

02:31:58

Yeah.

02:31:58

Which is how many?

02:31:59

21. We have 21 guys who've had at least 4,000 yards total for the Chicago Bears. My Commanders have 20.

02:32:07

My brain is just trying to. Because you understand when I hear 4,000 yard passer.

02:32:11

Correct.

02:32:12

I think of the old Bears stat.

02:32:15

Yes.

02:32:15

I'm not saying for one season. I'm saying for their career.

02:32:18

Right.

02:32:18

Okay.

02:32:18

Caleb Williams now has 4,000 yards in a Bears uniform. It took him a year and three games.

02:32:24

Yep.

02:32:25

Know that 21 guys who've done it. It's literally a stat. Being like, this is how many quarterbacks you have employed.

02:32:30

And that makes sense that you. You have surpassed us.

02:32:33

Yes.

02:32:33

Because the last is that Eagles are third.

02:32:36

17. You forget like, how awesome was that?

02:32:39

What?

02:32:39

Five seasons where you had Jay Cutler.

02:32:41

Yeah.

02:32:41

That stability of just having one guy. That was good.

02:32:43

Yeah. Yeah.

02:32:44

The Bears still don't have a 4,000 yard passer in a season, but they have the most guys who have had 4,000 yards total in their Bears. Good for them. Oh, such a funny graphic to look at. You're like, fuck, yeah. And then you're like, oh, shit. That's just a lot of really bad quarterbacks. But yeah, that happened. So congrats to Caleb.

02:33:04

Help.

02:33:05

All right, robot question. Rho b a c k.com promo code take 20 off.

02:33:11

Hang on.

02:33:11

Purchase.

02:33:12

What?

02:33:13

Oh, okay.

02:33:14

I was just looking up the commander stats. I think Jaden has 4,001 yards passing, but they probably didn't take that into account that he was probably the one that tied us. We were tied with you.

02:33:26

Yeah.

02:33:26

For one week.

02:33:27

Yeah.

02:33:27

And then Bears took the lead again.

02:33:29

Got it. Look at this.

02:33:29

See, Isn't that hilarious?

02:33:31

Yes.

02:33:31

It's pretty good.

02:33:32

It's ridiculous. Yeah. Like Houston has five guys because they haven't been a franchise for long. Okay, Roback question. Rhobac.com promo code take 20 off your first purchase. Q Zips, polo's, hoodies, joggers, shorts. My rollback question to the whole group is Russell Wilson done?

02:33:50

Should be. Should. Yeah.

02:33:52

I think the time has come. Have you guys ever seen Old Yeller? I actually haven't. I refused to watch that movie.

02:34:00

That was a pitiful. That sequence so that I haven't even won. I haven't either.

02:34:06

Have you seen Marley and Me?

02:34:07

Nope. Nope.

02:34:08

But I'm pretty sure what we're. What we're looking at with Bambi Wilson is Bambi pretty similar to both Marlene, me and Old Yeller?

02:34:16

Yes.

02:34:17

But it was, it was bad tonight for old Russie the deep. The moon balls were there, but they were just thrown directly to safeties.

02:34:27

Yes.

02:34:28

And so the Chiefs get their first win. Played good. Defense looked like Mahomes. That was crazy because we were. We started recording the play, the Chiefs ran where it looked like a touchdown and the guy dropped it. I don't know if it was Thornton. They just literally were like, we'll just do that again. And then they did it again and they got. So you could see the Chiefs are starting to come along of like taking deep shots, trying to bring their offense along. But yeah, the story out of this game because I think we all think the Chiefs are going to be just fine and be a playoff team. Oh, they're not.

02:35:06

I don't think so.

02:35:07

Okay. The Russell Wilson. It's just got to end.

02:35:11

Got to go.

02:35:11

This was too much. That, that sequence at the end of the game with like two minutes left when they were first and goal from I think like the four yard line. He got an intentional grounding penalty.

02:35:27

Egregious. He intentional grinding at the four yard line is egregious.

02:35:32

Yeah, he.

02:35:33

He just threw a check down. Then he threw two straight balls like out of the end zone. Just not even near anyone. Just throwing it.

02:35:42

It. Yeah.

02:35:43

To try not to get another intentional grounding, I guess. But yeah, it's. I think it's got to be done.

02:35:47

Jackson dart was again electric when he got in the game. Had a carry for three yards.

02:35:51

Yep.

02:35:51

What do you guys think about his look?

02:35:53

So the turtleneck.

02:35:54

Good question.

02:35:54

The turtleneck is Interesting.

02:35:55

And the, like, $100,000 chain, half, half face paint.

02:36:00

Yeah.

02:36:00

The turtleneck is kind of like boy band from 1997 type look. I don't know. I feel like a turtleneck in decent warm weather would actually, like, hamper you as a quarterback.

02:36:13

Right? Yeah.

02:36:15

I don't really like it.

02:36:16

I just think he's putting himself in a spot of, like, if you're gonna look like that, you have to play really, really. You have to be really good.

02:36:22

You also have to be a starter.

02:36:23

Yeah.

02:36:23

Yeah.

02:36:24

You can't wear all that.

02:36:26

Yeah.

02:36:26

And, like, play two plays a game.

02:36:28

No, but in his case, it's like everyone knows he's going to be the starter. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.

02:36:34

But you also don't dress like that till after you start to win.

02:36:37

Yeah.

02:36:38

Him dressing like that is making Russ Wilson play worse.

02:36:40

Like Joe Burrow dressed like that off the rip.

02:36:44

Well, he was a starter off the rip.

02:36:46

Right.

02:36:46

But I'm saying it took him like.

02:36:47

You know, he didn't.

02:36:48

He kind of. He went to the super bowl, and then he kind of became like, swag. Swaggy Joe.

02:36:52

Yeah.

02:36:53

But if you're Russell Wilson, you look over at the sidelines and your backup is wearing the turtleneck and the chain. He's got the sweet towel and everything. You don't exactly feel comfortable in your job security at that point.

02:37:06

Point.

02:37:07

It's like, this guy's obviously taking my job.

02:37:10

How much fun do you think it is to get in for those two plays for Jackson Dart? You got to be like, holy, that was sick.

02:37:15

Yeah.

02:37:15

Probably an NFL game.

02:37:16

It's probably pretty sweet because now he. He can, like, go out in Hoboken and they're like, yo, Jackson, you should be playing more often. He's like, I know you.

02:37:23

And also you, like, you have to take a shower.

02:37:25

Yeah.

02:37:25

Like, you got to do something.

02:37:27

Yeah.

02:37:27

Like, well, that didn't stop biz.

02:37:29

That's true.

02:37:29

Busy to shower with the boys after he was a healthy scratch.

02:37:31

Yeah, that's true, though. That's just shower.

02:37:33

That's just being a dude. Now the Giants offense should run entirely through Cam Scatter. Boo.

02:37:37

Oh.

02:37:37

Something about he is something about scout.

02:37:40

Something about him. I can't put my finger on it. There's something about him that I trust. This seems like a hard working lunch pail, gritty guy, ham and eggs. He just kind of. Guys like to date your daughter.

02:37:52

Yeah.

02:37:53

He's awesome to watch with the ball. The balance that he has is just incredible. He's going through contact, spinning on one leg, and then getting up and screaming. People's faces.

02:38:04

He.

02:38:04

At least the Giants have that to watch.

02:38:06

Yeah, you have.

02:38:06

You have a couple things going for you if you're a Giants fan. One, Graham Gano's groin, I guess, isn't entirely shattered.

02:38:12

Yeah.

02:38:13

Even though before the game, they basically said he wasn't going to kick. And then GNO was like, I can make a 30 yarder. Just send me out there.

02:38:19

We need, like, an Amber alert before a game to, like, be like, hey, the kicker's not playing because. Because weird shit's about to happen. Yeah, because that's all that happened is weird shit just happened. Like, you know, they got their extra point blocked. Like, will they. Won't they go for it? I just want to know right away, because it just changes how a game goes. Oh, Graham Griddle did come out. So he did come out and kick one.

02:38:41

Yeah, yeah, that's what I said. So they brought him out to. It was like a really short one towards the end, which made it four field goals for the game, which I. I appreciated. But they talked about him before the game like he wasn't. Like the Giants weren't going to have a kicker, which happens all the time to the Giants. Yeah, they got to figure that out. But at least you've got that. You've got Cam Scatterbo, who's so fun to root for, and then you've got the prospect of Jackson Dart supplanting Russell Wilson at some point.

02:39:04

Yeah.

02:39:05

So you got some things.

02:39:05

Malik neighbors.

02:39:06

Yeah, you got Malik neighbors.

02:39:08

That's. I think that's really like the. The big. We got to be done with Russ is when you aren't getting the ball to Malik Neighbors. He had two catches for 13 yards. I know he got banged up, but, like, you got.

02:39:20

I don't know.

02:39:21

He's just. Just be done with Russ. We've seen this too much.

02:39:25

The question is, is. Is it this week against the Chargers you have to go to Los Angeles? No, that's at home. Sorry. At home against the Chargers.

02:39:35

And Andrew Thomas did play tonight.

02:39:37

He did.

02:39:37

On a snap count. So I always thought that they were going to wait till he comes back to put Jackson dart back in. So maybe this week he's ready to go for the whole time.

02:39:45

Is it this week or is it the week after at the Saints?

02:39:49

Probably Saints.

02:39:50

I felt like it was the Saints. You want to protect them a little bit. Yeah, that seems like the time.

02:39:56

Yeah.

02:39:56

But in the meantime, let's let James start Against the Chargers.

02:40:00

Yeah.

02:40:00

Give us bridge quarterback.

02:40:01

Give us fucking Jameis. A literal bridge quarterback. A weak bridge quarterback.

02:40:06

Yeah.

02:40:06

A week long bridge.

02:40:07

Well, to save your fans from jumping off them.

02:40:09

Yeah, exactly.

02:40:11

But yeah, we. And Russ, you should want like. You've had an awesome career, dude. Like, we can't. This is just getting sad, right? Like, let's stop.

02:40:20

Because he tries so hard and it's.

02:40:23

It's tough to watch. It's tough to watch. He was like just throwing check downs at the end of the game too. Like into the dirt. Tough to watch. But the Chiefs have won their first.

02:40:31

Game and I think they'll be fine too. Yeah, I think Chiefs are going to make the playoffs. That Patrick Mahomes play that he had today was incredible. Threw the ball backwards to Pacheco, who didn't really make. Didn't really seem like it was his number one priority to dive on the ball. No defense scooped it up. Mahomes with a chase down tackle and strip directly into his own hands. Got the ball back.

02:40:51

Yep.

02:40:52

Yeah, we were talking about it in the cave. I actually knew you said to pft. I think every time a quarterback throws it behind the line of scrimmage, that should just be a fumble.

02:41:01

Yeah, that's a good point, Hank. Yeah, thank you for reminding me to bring that up.

02:41:05

What.

02:41:11

I just searched Mahomes. There's a lot of.

02:41:13

Hank had a really good point.

02:41:14

Hank made a great point.

02:41:15

But you didn't. You totally missed it.

02:41:17

You weren't listening. So I. We'll see if you bring it up later.

02:41:19

I was trying to find the clip of Mahomes and then I got tell.

02:41:23

Max the point Hank made.

02:41:25

Wait, wait, Max, what was Mahomes doing in the clip that you brought up?

02:41:29

It was. It was loses 15 yards and then Chris Collinsworth, like fondling or a meme of a guy fondling ball ball saying this is Chris Collinsworth.

02:41:38

It was. I mean, Mahomes did it twice where he just threw it backwards for like no reason. I still know.

02:41:44

Exactly.

02:41:45

So we threw the ball backwards and then. Was it a fumble?

02:41:49

Yeah, it was the first. Well, the first time it was, but they didn't call it.

02:41:52

Yeah.

02:41:53

Zach, what you think there's like a rule change or something that everyone behind there's a fumble.

02:41:58

Yeah.

02:41:59

Behind the line of scrimmage.

02:42:01

Okay, got it.

02:42:02

Got it.

02:42:02

What do you think about that, Max?

02:42:05

I think that should be a rule change. Yeah, we should talk about that.

02:42:08

Good shit. All right, let's finish up who's back of the week. Who's Back of the week is sponsored by Twisted Tea. Twisted Tea is a refreshing hard iced tea made with real Brewed tea and 5% alcohol. 02:42:40

Okay, Hank.

02:42:43

My who's back in the week is playoff baseball.

02:42:45

Oh, you found one that me just found another one. Chris Collinsworth watching Mahomes recover a fumble and it's my quote from Saturday. I feel like I'd come right away. I was talking about soaking in Utah.

02:42:57

That's a fair point.

02:42:58

Yeah, I got lost in the memes.

02:43:00

That's on me.

02:43:01

Yeah.

02:43:01

I was trying to do my job and then I got distracted.

02:43:04

All right. Yeah.

02:43:06

Let's hold on to your bus time. The AL especially, I think the Blue Jays clinched today. They were the first AL team to clinch a spot in the playoffs. One week left in the season, the Tigers are like collapsing. The Guardians who seemed like, you know, I just follow the guys. We have a bunch of Cleveland guys that are here and it seemed like, like in the middle of season they had more or less given up surgeon. Even like a month ago it was kind of like they have no shot at the playoffs or so far back they might win the AL Central.

02:43:38

Yep.

02:43:39

Nl, I know, is also like there's a lot of jockeying for position and. And a lot of stuff that can still happen the next week. So it's exciting. I mean we got the Astros, we got Ryder cup this weekend. And then it's. And then it's full gear. Playoff baseball.

02:43:50

Best time of year probably going to.

02:43:51

Be Red Sox, Yankees.

02:43:53

Yeah.

02:43:53

Yeah.

02:43:53

Although every legitimate. Every day it switches.

02:43:56

Yeah. Right now like the Astros and the Guardians are. Would have to play, I think another game they had to play. 163. They're both tied for the last playoff. So for last wild card.

02:44:07

If the season ended today in the National League, who's in it would be.

02:44:11

Obviously you got your Cubs versus the Padres and it would be the Dodgers versus the Reds because the Reds have the tiebreaker on the Mets because the.

02:44:21

Reds and The Cubs are BFFs and the Cubs let the Reds win baseball.

02:44:26

Correct.

02:44:26

So that the Mets don't make it.

02:44:27

Exactly.

02:44:28

What Happened.

02:44:28

Yeah. Yeah.

02:44:30

I'm excited.

02:44:31

Yeah.

02:44:32

I mean, the Cubs still have to play a little bit because they don't want it. They want to play home against the Padres and only three games up on.

02:44:39

The Padres, which will be a best of three. All three games at home.

02:44:44

Correct. That's how the wild card works.

02:44:45

Yeah.

02:44:46

It's awesome. I'm excited too, Hank. It's going to be fun. Do you think you're going to make it? I don't.

02:44:54

I do, but I. 65, 35. Yes.

02:45:00

Did you play the Blue Jays and I guess the Blue Jays.

02:45:03

Tigers.

02:45:04

And the Blue Jays. So the Tigers will definitely be playing for something or most likely. And the Blue Jays are still going to be playing for home field throughout because there are three games up right now on the Mariners for home field throughout.

02:45:18

Yeah.

02:45:18

Al's got some spicy races. Nothing good like a little last week of the season pennant race.

02:45:23

And you got Cal raleigh, who what, 58 home runs.

02:45:27

Yeah.

02:45:27

He passed Griffey.

02:45:29

So there's a chance that he surpasses Aaron Judge.

02:45:33

Yeah.

02:45:33

If he continues hitting like this.

02:45:35

Yeah.

02:45:36

For the AL record, which some. Which the haters would say is the all time record.

02:45:41

Yeah. Yeah.

02:45:43

It's pretty crazy. He's awesome. Big dumper, our guy. But yeah, playoff baseball's coming in yet. The Phillies are just cruising right now, Max.

02:45:52

Now we lost two or three this weekend, but okay, we're. We're basically. We're in cruise control right now.

02:45:57

Yeah. But you could still maybe get the one seed.

02:46:00

Yeah.

02:46:01

To win you probably have to wear down.

02:46:02

We're two and a half back. I mean we're probably going to get to. We're focused on getting the buy.

02:46:07

Got it.

02:46:08

The magic number is two right now to get the buy.

02:46:11

The Mets aren't even in the playoffs right now.

02:46:13

Correct.

02:46:14

I.

02:46:14

The Mets need to be in the playoffs.

02:46:17

They fucking suck.

02:46:19

Really?

02:46:19

I mean they just keep playing. Cedric Mulle, he's like. He was the worst trade deadline acquisition of all time. He fucking sucks.

02:46:27

I'm sorry.

02:46:29

It's okay.

02:46:30

Do you think he'll be in the playoffs games?

02:46:32

I don't.

02:46:35

Hey, good answer. I do, I do.

02:46:38

In the Mets history, how many times have they made the playoffs in back to back season seasons?

02:46:42

I feel like this is going to be a one or two.

02:46:46

That is disgusting. New York teams are a joke.

02:46:49

I. I'm rooting very heavily against.

02:46:52

Max is so scared of having to go spend a week in New York and just be in that cave.

02:46:58

We did kind of set that precedent that if what?

02:47:01

If the Phillies make it against the Mets, then you go. Yeah, we did.

02:47:06

What does that look.

02:47:07

Nothing.

02:47:08

Oh, Red Sox, Yankees.

02:47:12

What about.

02:47:12

Oh, Max is smiling ear to ear right now.

02:47:15

That's a much different precedent.

02:47:20

So. But they're both New York teams, and we have the New York office people stream the games there.

02:47:24

I'm.

02:47:25

I'm not the one that said Max had to go.

02:47:27

Well, yeah.

02:47:28

What about last year? Did you say you had to go last year?

02:47:30

No, we could.

02:47:34

But.

02:47:34

Yeah.

02:47:34

Playoff baseball.

02:47:35

I still haven't hopped on the bandwagon yet, so.

02:47:37

Yeah, that's true.

02:47:39

You're right.

02:47:39

That's. That's honestly very great point.

02:47:42

Yeah.

02:47:42

Regardless. Okay, if you guys make the playoffs, are you automatically on the bandwagon?

02:47:47

What do you mean? Yes.

02:47:49

Because you might be like, yeah, we're not.

02:47:50

No, no, no, no.

02:47:51

Are you watching any Red Sox games right now?

02:47:54

No.

02:47:55

Yeah, that's.

02:47:56

Yeah.

02:47:57

Are you checking the scores every night? Yes, every night.

02:47:59

That's a.

02:48:00

That's. Yeah, that's right. Running along it. Yeah.

02:48:03

Now it's like, in theory, he cares.

02:48:05

Once Roman Anthony got hurt, it was like, all right, we're kind of screwed. Maybe team of destiny.

02:48:09

But it's like, that's fine.

02:48:11

I was kind of waiting. I. I said it.

02:48:12

I was.

02:48:13

I've been very honest about where I'm at with this.

02:48:16

Yeah, you have this entire year.

02:48:17

And the Roman Anthony injury is like, well, that's our best player. He got hurt.

02:48:21

It's tough.

02:48:22

It's tough to win a World Series without your best player. If you make the playoffs, though, just, you know, by design, as a.

02:48:29

As.

02:48:29

As. You just have to do it. Like, you have to hop on the bandwagon.

02:48:31

Yeah.

02:48:31

And watch.

02:48:32

Philly's best player got hurt for the rest of the year. Bryce Harper, Zach Wheeler.

02:48:38

Damn shaded Schwarber.

02:48:40

Well, are the Red Sox better without Devers?

02:48:44

Yeah, they.

02:48:44

They have been.

02:48:45

Right.

02:48:46

Good trade.

02:48:47

Yeah, I guess I'm excited. I'm gonna go to all the Cubs game. Well, they gotta get the.

02:48:53

The.

02:48:53

They got us. They got to clinch the home games.

02:48:56

But.

02:48:56

Yes, I'm excited for some playoff baseball. Very excited. I need to be like 15 degrees colder. Don't you agree?

02:49:05

Nah.

02:49:07

No.

02:49:07

You guys don't want that.

02:49:08

This weather's been perfect.

02:49:09

No, but it. But it has to be like, you guys have. You guys agree that, like the playoff baseball, you have to be in like the 60s.

02:49:16

I agree with that. If. If I had a team that was in the playoffs, I would be rooting for it. To feel more like fall.

02:49:20

Just 60s. I'm not asking for cold. I'm just saying I don't. I. I don't want to watch playoff base in the 80s.

02:49:25

Yeah.

02:49:26

As a 70s, as a bystander, I'm okay with the 70s.

02:49:29

70S.

02:49:29

What if it just goes back up as soon as the.

02:49:32

Yeah.

02:49:32

Cubs game is over?

02:49:33

Yeah, I'm fine with it.

02:49:34

That's fine. I. I'm just. Once it starts to get colder, then. Then you start. Then you start to think about that it's getting.

02:49:40

Yeah.

02:49:41

No, I agree. I agree. I agree. Which. Speaking of which, Daylight savings coming up this Saturday, so make sure you change.

02:49:47

I'm very excited for Zach's first. Oh, for a Chicago winner.

02:49:50

Oh, man. PFC year. Who's back?

02:49:52

You had that jacket yet, Zach?

02:49:54

I don't yet. People have sent me some solid recommendations. I have yet to acquire it yet because it's been so nice out still. It's been, like, kind of. Kind of good.

02:50:02

Yeah, but you want to get the jacket before it gets cold.

02:50:05

Great point.

02:50:06

You're right.

02:50:06

I got to get that.

02:50:07

Just get a really nice warm jacket.

02:50:08

Really nice.

02:50:09

Pft.

02:50:10

My. Who's back of the week is Ralphie.

02:50:12

Yes.

02:50:13

Because Colorado got a new Buffalo. Ralphie. Ralphie seven. This is seventh Ralphie. The old Ralphie did not feel much like running. The new Ralphie made its debut over the weekend. And this Ralphie is awesome. This Ralphie is fast. This Ralph a little under control. Shout out to Ralphie's handlers. I don't know how they tell the Buffalo which direction to run as it makes it circle kind of around the field, but they get it right back in the pen. Awesome debut.

02:50:39

Yep.

02:50:39

Rookie of the year. Right now is Ralphie in college football.

02:50:42

And. And by the way, just if you missed it, Ralphie six did not pass away. Ralphie six released a press statement saying Ralphie was no longer interested in running.

02:50:52

Yeah. So, yeah, it did not feel much like running.

02:50:54

It was not.

02:50:55

It was not his thing.

02:50:56

The most relatable press release of all time.

02:50:58

But this Ralphie, it was born to run.

02:51:01

Yes.

02:51:01

This Ralphie, I can tell. Almost got away like a bat out of hell. Yeah, this thing took off. So this is good thing. This is all good things for the Buffaloes.

02:51:08

Yes, Absolutely. Absolutely. Okay.

02:51:10

My.

02:51:10

Who's back of the week? I told you guys I'd tell this story because we were all separate this weekend. I was in Utah. Shout out Utah. By the way, incredible crowd for big noon kickoff. Awesome stadium. But on Friday night, I Got. I got Rinaldi. So Tom Rinaldi works for Fox. Awesome, dude. And I say this in, like, the most loving way because he was, like, really nice, fun person to, like, have dinner with. But Tom Rinaldi is exactly Tom Rinaldi when you're watching, like, the. When he talks to, like, a kid who's gone through adversity when he, you know, the E60s. He obviously doesn't work at ESPN anymore. He broke me down mentally. Like, I see a therapist every week, and it wasn't even close to what Tom Rinaldi did to me.

02:51:55

How much could he charge as a therapist?

02:51:57

I. Dude, he. All right, so here's two of the questions he was asking me. He was also calling me Cat, which I loved. He was just like, so Cat. And again, I enjoyed this a lot. But this is just. I think Tom and all is just one of those guys that's very interested in people.

02:52:09

How many people are at this dinner?

02:52:11

It was two tables of, like 10 each, but he and I were at the end of the table. So we were sitting across from each other. So it was like kind of one on one. He asked me one to ten, and you can't answer five. How much of a risk taker would you say you've been in your life?

02:52:31

Life?

02:52:31

And I was like, what. What is that question? This is a dinner question. And then the other one was, do you answer? I said a seven. And he said that his biggest regret is being too low of a risk taker. And I was like, okay.

02:52:45

Did you say that's. I want to answer five?

02:52:48

No, I. I thought about it more because, like, saying you can't answer five is like, oh.

02:52:52

I think that's his trick, because if you want to answer five, that actually means that you're a one.

02:52:57

Yeah, right. But I didn't want to answer.

02:52:59

Yeah.

02:53:00

And then his other one was. He's like, cat, would you say you fear rejection or failure more? And I was just like, what? What is it? Just blew my mind how he would just ask these questions. He just kept on going through it.

02:53:15

Yeah, I would need, like, a follow up on that one, too.

02:53:17

Yeah, I did.

02:53:18

Aren't they kind of the same thing?

02:53:19

But they're not.

02:53:22

If you get rejected, doesn't that mean you failed at.

02:53:25

No, I know.

02:53:26

Getting rejected.

02:53:27

No.

02:53:27

You can, like, you can fail without rejection and you can be rejected without being fit. Because I was talking about, like, you know, working at barstool and, like, what other people thought about it. Rejection is that. Rejection is a failure. So Yeah, I got Rinaldi.

02:53:40

I think my biggest fear is now getting Rinaldi.

02:53:43

It was. I actually, like, enjoyed the dinner so much with him, but it was just very funny because his cadence, his tone, it's exactly the same. And I got to basically do my own, like, mini E60 with Tom Rinaldi at dinner.

02:53:55

He should have a little, like, portable piano that he pays somebody to follow him around with. It makes, like, really somber, like, twinkling sounds and notes.

02:54:03

Yeah.

02:54:03

Provides the soundtrack to the interview.

02:54:05

Yeah.

02:54:06

So many people must cry when they talk to Tom.

02:54:08

Yeah. I think he was trying to get me to cry. I was pretty close also. I came back, and I. We all do this. We have dumb thoughts in our head, and then we say them out loud. And then when you say them around people and they're like, what. What the did you just say? That happened to me because we were talking about how we all have tummy stingers right now, and I was like, yeah, I have diarrhea. I think it was just the altitude. And I had Italian for dinner on Friday, and everyone laughed in my face, and they're like, altitude. I was like, yeah, that must have been it.

02:54:33

I. I heard. I heard that excuse. I was like, we're blaming the altitude. Diarrhea.

02:54:37

It wasn't because I ate, like, 4,000 calories in six different desserts at the Italian dinner. It was the altitude.

02:54:43

The airs thin. What's it going to do to your poop?

02:54:46

Yeah.

02:54:47

As I. Because I had. I convinced myself, I was like, I'm not sick. It's the altitude.

02:54:50

Yeah.

02:54:51

I've been. I've been working off diarrhea for about four days now. Three days.

02:54:56

Tummy stingers.

02:54:57

Tummy stingers.

02:54:58

What do you got, Hank? What are you looking at?

02:55:01

What?

02:55:03

Can you speak? This is a podcast.

02:55:04

I'm just.

02:55:06

Are.

02:55:06

We rule, like, we got it. There's an elephant in the room here.

02:55:09

What?

02:55:09

The ice cream machine.

02:55:10

No, that's okay. These guys said they didn't.

02:55:13

I didn't get it till I had two servings.

02:55:15

I haven't had ice cream in a month.

02:55:17

I also didn't get it till Friday, and I didn't have any ice cream on Friday.

02:55:23

I didn't.

02:55:24

I was.

02:55:24

I had no ice cream today.

02:55:25

Yeah.

02:55:26

All right, Matt. That might be because you haven't had ice cream. Your body's like, what's going on?

02:55:31

Maybe I did have ice cream. Even though my. I have a tummy stinger. That's how tough I am. I was like, it. I'm not gonna Let this take me down. And then it did take me down even further. Zach, finish off my.

02:55:43

Who's back of the week is pft. I was recently tasked with some logistics on the most recent pop punk show, and I was reminded that outside this podcast, PFT is also just a punk rock star. I've seen him do guitar riffs in the office and some clips, but. But seeing it on the stage in real time was pretty sick. And just being able to have, like, a. Being able to be that good at a musical instrument, to be able to come together as a band and perform for people was sick to watch.

02:56:11

Thank you, Zach. The shows are a lot fun, and Zach did a great job, by the way. Him and Jacob, the Cream team guys, they were the roadies for pop punk, so made the drive to Bloomington. They got everything there safe and sound. Zach, you drove back?

02:56:26

I did.

02:56:27

And everything was cool with your drive?

02:56:29

Everything was good. No issues.

02:56:31

Okay.

02:56:32

The. The parallel parking job that you guys did outside the venue was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my entire life. Though it took them probably, what, seven minutes to parallel park?

02:56:42

It took quite a while.

02:56:44

But that.

02:56:44

That van, no windows in the back. Rearview mirror, useless.

02:56:47

Yeah.

02:56:48

Void mirror. Not good.

02:56:50

That's true. What did you guys talk about throughout the drive? Yeah, on the drive, I was all over the place.

02:56:54

You know, you start with music, but then after a while, the music goes out the window. Then we start getting a little bit personal. He's going into some family stuff. He was giving me backstory. I was getting him a little bit backstory, you know?

02:57:04

And you guys were great on stage, too.

02:57:06

It was a good ride.

02:57:07

You guys were ripping shots on stage.

02:57:08

Hell, yes.

02:57:09

Cool to see Zach.

02:57:10

It was sick to watch you guys perform.

02:57:11

I thought that was awesome. He shreds. He absolutely shreds.

02:57:14

He absolutely rips the guitar and the stage presence as well. So he. So he's, like, captivating the audience and destroying the guitar at the same time.

02:57:20

Pretty sick. You know what I call that?

02:57:21

What do we call that?

02:57:22

A rock star.

02:57:23

Punk rock star.

02:57:24

Yeah.

02:57:24

Stamp it. I think. I think there's a. There's a chance that at the Chicago show, I think we might do Freebird again.

02:57:30

Oh, hell yeah. Sick.

02:57:31

I think.

02:57:32

And I'm.

02:57:33

I'm gonna try to get one of the Freebird guitars to do it.

02:57:36

Hell, yes.

02:57:37

Even though I'm not worthy of touching it or looking at it.

02:57:40

Hell yes.

02:57:41

We'll see.

02:57:42

Okay, numbers three. Nice memes.

02:57:47

22, 33.

02:57:49

I'll go four.

02:57:51

I'm gonna go 99.

02:57:52

Post.

02:57:56

85.

02:57:58

61.

02:57:59

1976.

02:58:03

What?

02:58:03

You guys. Hank, 22.

02:58:06

I don't know about you.

02:58:08

I'm feeling 22.

02:58:13

31. Your birthday.

02:58:21

Hell, yeah.

02:58:22

Which is one hundred and thirty one days away.

02:58:25

Oh, we got the clock set.

02:58:26

Yeah, yeah.

02:58:26

I'm 130 days away.

02:58:28

Oh, yeah, you.

02:58:29

Aren't you getting a death clock?

02:58:31

Yeah, we got to get memes.

02:58:32

Death clock sick. Love you guys. Love you, Memes.

02:58:38

Whatever.
