Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

00:00:23

Oh, welcome in.

00:00:29

The Fantasy Footballers Podcast.

00:00:33

The, the, I don't know. The people, Mike, they know they can, they can tell that it's football time is coming. It's coming closer, Mike.

00:00:48

It's percolating.

00:00:49

Not that you'll throw one out there for the Hall of Fame game with our Arizona Cardinals.

00:00:52

I did wonder about that this morning. I was like, there's, there is. There is football, but does it? I don't know.

00:01:00

You know how stupid I am?

00:01:03

Yeah.

00:01:03

Yeah, we do.

00:01:04

Okay. That's all.

00:01:05

Yeah.

00:01:05

How stupid are you?

00:01:09

I'm stupid enough to not realize that the Hall of Fame game is always between two teams.

00:01:13

Really?

00:01:14

That's okay. No, that's not the end of the sentence.

00:01:17

That's very stupid. I see how dumb you are.

00:01:20

That have players going into the Hall of Fame. I didn't realize we had the chance to visit the Hall of Fame and Luke Keekly and Larry Fitzgerald are the you know, 2 of 5 players going into the Hall of Fame and the Panthers are playing the Cardinals. That's how dumb I am. I just thought that they were just randomly chosen teams.

00:01:37

I don't blame you on that. I really, because I didn't realize that either, but I think it's because he just learned it just now. I didn't realize it because I didn't care. You know, like why would I give a crap?

00:01:51

I do kind of like, maybe it was just, you know, like Luke Keekly, we got to watch him play. Larry the GOAT, my favorite player of all time.

00:01:59

If you told me that every year, like Thanksgiving, well, every year it's the Lions and someone else, I would have believed you. I'd be like, cool, I don't care. It's a high school game.

00:02:14

But maybe like this Cardinals playing for the honor of Larry and then the Panthers playing for the honor of Keekly. Maybe there's more gravity to it now.

00:02:22

Just two incredible teams.

00:02:24

Well, Kenny Pickett's going to start.

00:02:25

Kenny Pickett is the starter.

00:02:26

Baby hands.

00:02:27

Oh man.

00:02:28

So we, I mean, look, the hands memes have been, they've been very strong. AI is doing, AI is very powerful when it comes to accentuating someone's physical problems.

00:02:38

Man, how long until we speak only in memes?

00:02:43

It's not far off and it's going to be the downfall of society.

00:02:48

I mean, like what we all started this like hieroglyphics. Drawings and we're like, yeah, no, we're coming back. Now we're sophisticated with our language and now we're like smiley face, fart cloud.

00:03:02

Memes do say something that words can't say.

00:03:04

Yes, they do.

00:03:05

I pretty much—

00:03:06

you can feel the emotion.

00:03:08

I try to only respond in GIFs.

00:03:09

But not for me. Yeah, it's, uh, no, it really does.

00:03:15

And frequently we text each other and I mean, it's full on the Key and Peele sketch when they're texting each other. And it's just something that's lost in translation of just words.

00:03:27

Right.

00:03:27

But when you send the meme or the GIF, it's like— Yeah, I understand.

00:03:31

No, I know exactly.

00:03:32

I hear you.

00:03:33

Yeah.

00:03:33

Nothing is mistaken.

00:03:34

Does that mean that we have just become very bad at using words to convey what we want to say? Because I think that's what we just said. We're not good at the words.

00:03:45

I think we've— I think we've— grown even beyond just words.

00:03:49

Well, we have a great show today.

00:03:51

Speaking of meme, it's the bell curve meme where everyone's dumb and then you, then you get to the end and you're back where you started.

00:03:57

Look, Cardinals, Panthers, our first kind of football game is coming. And then before you know it, Mike will be screaming out, it's football time once a week. And we will be in the season and you will be on your way to a fantasy title. And I'm excited. We've got a new segment today. We've got news to talk about. We have a quarterback rankings countdown episode. It is August, boys, which means the Ultimate Draft Kit is out right now. The big headline this year, thousands of you have used this product over the last 12 years. The mock draft tool for the very first time is live in the UDK. So we've never had a mock draft tool native to the Ultimate Draft Kit. It is there right now on mobile. It is coming to the web very soon. It is a beta product. We've added Keeper support. There's a lot of amazing tools and resources, but I don't want to bury all of the other things that are part of the UDK. 100+ player profiles, sleepers, breakouts, busts, and values are consensus picks for those. You've got the ability to go through and mark, you know, players inside the UDK in the mobile app on the web.

00:05:02

So you're prepared for your draft.

00:05:03

So you don't forget the guys later that are important.

00:05:05

Yeah, this is like setting the foundation for your entire season right here is getting the draft right. A lot of you have mini drafts over the course of, you know, the entire month of August and into September.

00:05:18

Sounded like very tiny drafts.

00:05:20

Like miniature drafts.

00:05:22

That's what I was just talking about. It's like some of you have mini drafts. That's basically a mock draft, you know. So we've got a new mini draft tool.

00:05:27

You say those words differently like many, many. Many?

00:05:31

Yeah. There's different letters and stuff.

00:05:34

Yeah. Many?

00:05:36

What's the problem here? You missed, he thought I said miniature drafts.

00:05:40

Oh.

00:05:40

Like mini drafts.

00:05:41

No.

00:05:42

Which maybe you do. Maybe you have some small 6-team league. A 6-team league is a mini draft.

00:05:48

Anyways.

00:05:48

Many.

00:05:48

We support large, regular size and miniature drafts with the UDK.

00:05:54

Many.

00:05:55

That's ultimate. See what I say now?

00:05:57

Many.

00:05:57

It's over. Just use a meme. UltimateDraftKit.com.

00:06:00

Sounds like M-E-N-Y, many.

00:06:05

Mike, be quiet.

00:06:08

My mind is broken, man.

00:06:09

We've got it. We've got it early. We got a new segment we got to jump into.

00:06:19

Performance Climbers presented by GMC. Heck yeah.

00:06:23

Sounds awesome.

00:06:25

We are, we have a brand new segment and we are talking through all the way to the top, a number of players that are rising in ADP and what we think about that rise, whether the value is still there, where you think they're going to end up on draft day. So I've got 3 names to talk about, but I will say, very excited about the segment. 1, 2, very proud of what you did with the music there.

00:06:47

Thank you.

00:06:48

Playing in with the climbers because it was climbing. That was great. All right. Isaiah Likely has moved up a round in the last couple of months. Isaiah Likely, I am finding, I've raised him in my rankings a couple of times in the last couple months. There is a lot of talk about him having a featured role in the offense. Familiarity with the head coach. I don't view Malik Nabers as a reason, like his health, if he's back a little sooner than we think, which it seems like is the case. I don't necessarily view that as like some negative for Isaiah Likely. It's better for the offense as a whole. There aren't a ton of targets in this offense. Wandale is gone. Malik Nabers is acclimating. I, I find myself more and more interested in Isaiah Likely right now. He's still an 11th round pick. He's moved up in the interest and in the ADP charts. Signed the big contract, 3-year, $40 million deal, $26 million guaranteed. He's been a 12.5 point per game player with no Mark Andrews. You know, the Giants reports, I mean, Connor Hughes talked about them featuring him alongside Nabors. Are you like, this is the discussion we had yesterday about Travis Kelce as a likely, I'd rather take the shot on the up-and-coming player.

00:08:06

Are you on board with Isaiah Likely?

00:08:08

A lot of things make sense here. We talk about in order for a tight end to really truly be impactful for fantasy, if they're not scoring double-digit touchdowns, they pretty much have to be the number 2 number one or number two target in their offense. Most of these guys, even when we look at some of the players that we really like, like Colson Loveland, it's possible he's third. Here with Isaiah Likely, there's, there's a clear one in Malik Nabers. And then there is a wide open, you have the total opportunity to be the number two target. He's 26 years old. And we've seen plenty of times in history where a tight end changing teams, going to that second contract. That's when they become more fantasy.

00:08:48

Delaney Walker style here.

00:08:50

Delaney Walker, Greg Olsen, Evan Ingram. I mean, we've got examples of where a guy changes teams at the tight end position, middle of their career, and they become more fantasy relevant. I personally struggle with Isaiah Likely because I've had him in dynasty and I've waited and I've waited and I've been disappointed every single year. And I feel like I feel like there's some palm leaves that I do not want to walk on.

00:09:17

Oh, like a little jungle trap.

00:09:18

There might be a little—

00:09:19

You got a bungee pit?

00:09:20

Yeah, I'm just— I don't want to fall for the trap again, man. I don't know if Isaiah Likely is good enough.

00:09:26

Oh, I think he's great.

00:09:29

What's hard about it, Jay? Like, yeah, we've seen these guys change teams. Have we seen— and this is a question I don't know because this would be a factoid. Have we seen a tight end change teams to the exact same head coach who last year told us that that player would be a Pro Bowler? And the answer to that was the other guy on the team got an extension.

00:09:52

I will say this, you know, to excuse away some of that conversation, like he got disrupted instantaneously. I mean, Isaiah likely didn't play the first 3 weeks of the season. He wasn't playing, you know, he missed his opportunity to have that breakout. I just know what I see on the field, a hyper-athletic, talented move tight end that has the capability of being a red zone target. That was a constant, you know, he went up and got balls in the back of the end zone for Lamar Jackson. I find myself more excited. Look, what is excitement for Isaiah Likely? He's moved from the tight end 21 to 17. So we're not talking about any, He's a late round tight end option. If Jason somehow, and this won't happen, but just hypothetically, if Jason misses out on Sam Laporta, I get it won't happen.

00:10:39

Right. He's mine.

00:10:40

But if it happens to me, this is another player that you can look at later in the draft that excites me a lot more than Dalton Schultz.

00:10:46

Yes. I'm, I am with you of like, I'm not planning any of my team structure around Isaiah Likely. You know, where last year we had, uh, when Loveland and Warren were rookies, I was very okay missing on one of the elite tight ends because I'm like, these guys are late and they, they seem like we are, we're pretty sure that that player is going to hit. ADP says that we're not 100% sure likely is going to hit. But once, if you miss out on the elite guys, which that I'm with Jason, that's my strategy this year. I want one of them. But after that, you know, it's like Ferguson, who he needs an injury in front of him. Gadsden, news has not been good.

00:11:32

Like, I mean, range of outcomes on Gadsden.

00:11:33

There has been as useless. It's been a lack of news. And then it's like Mark Andrews. What does he have left?

00:11:41

That's a great one. Andrews v. likely.

00:11:45

Yeah. So at that point, one is a great which thought process upside is on the, is on the likely side.

00:11:51

So I'm fine.

00:11:52

With this as long as we don't get out of control.

00:11:54

And it's worth, it's worth noting like Mike and I were in New York a couple of weekends ago interviewing Jackson Dart and Cam Skadaboo and we asked Dart like, you know, Wondale's gone, Malik is coming back. Who's the first target to? Who are you looking at? And the name he brought up was likely Parker Washington, wide receiver for Jacksonville.

00:12:15

The headlines the last few days have been Travis Hunter, center. We had early offseason Brian Thomas Jr. We got a contract for Brenton Strange. I mean, I can— they have a lot of pass-catching targets, but Parker Washington has been oftentimes the favorite in camp so far for Trevor Lawrence. He has moved up around in the last several months. He's an 8th round pick. He averaged 71 yards a game, was the wide receiver 11 from week 9 on last year. No Travis Hunter in that spell. I mean, again, this is what's ironic about these two players so far, and maybe all three. The film says more than, you know, a season-long set of numbers for these guys because they've either been injured, not involved. But I thought the film on Parker Washington was outstanding. This looked like a player that was going to be an impact player. But I don't know if there's enough to go around to where I'm going to be sitting week in, week out going Parker Washington's my wide receiver three. To start him this week. I think you can always start him, but you got to like cross your fingers and be like, is this the week that he's the most involved player?

00:13:28

Where are— I know Jason, let's turn it over to you. You have been rising on Parker Washington.

00:13:31

Yeah, I flipped. I went into the offseason Brian Thomas Jr. ahead of Parker Washington just because of, you know, the talent upside. We obviously saw the breakout rookie season, the fact that he's used downfield. But everything that we had with Brian Thomas that was great was not with Trevor Lawrence. And with Trevor Lawrence, we've seen a real connection to Parker Washington. And what's happened this offseason is it's really this— I don't love moving players based on quotes and stuff. And that is what's happened here. So full disclosure, but it's the type of quotes that are coming out that are talking about When Trevor Lawrence talks about his wide receivers and he talks about Parker Washington and he talks about Brian Thomas Jr., he talks about Parker Washington like he is the best wide receiver in the league. Everything he's— everything he does is good. He's always creating separation. He's quick off the line. He's a perfect route runner. And then it's like, well, what about Brian Thomas Jr.? He is— he's fast. One word, fast. And it's like, then you watch some of the other— you look at Jacoby Myers and Brian Thomas together. Talk about like they're trying to beat each other in.

00:14:39

They're trying to be the first one in the building, the last one out. But they're like, well, we're not competing with Parker. He's always here first.

00:14:45

Like he is the quote from John Shipley from Sports Illustrated. Washington has routinely been the top target for Trevor Lawrence in practice during training camp. It's easy to see why catching everything thrown in his direction, consistent separation. Grant Udinski said, I certainly don't want to take it for granted that we have a player of this capacity. When the ball's in the air, I have the utmost confidence he's going to come down with it and superlatives and superlatives.

00:15:05

We saw it after the bye week last year, an entire half of the season, 9 games, he averaged 12 fantasy points per game. He was on pace for 1,200 receiving yards, 77 receptions. Like, we've seen him on this team with this quarterback succeed in that role. So it's like, why are— you know, and that was how they finished the season, and now everything in camp says it's continuing. So I'm just believing what we saw at the end of last year. I have definitely risen in my rankings.

00:15:32

The whole Jacksonville wide receiver situation is tough as, you know, a foundation I think that is strong for fantasy football advice is follow the actions of the team and the management. What do they say? They're paying everybody but Parker Washington.

00:15:49

Well, that is their priority according to me, but they haven't paid him yet.

00:15:53

If a Parker Washington contract came in, that would, it would really change things. I'm not opposed to the idea that Parker Washington, maybe he is the best. Like that is certainly a thing that can happen, but you trade for Jacoby, you extend him at the end of last year, you give Strange all that money. And now all this Travis Hunter stuff. I'm—

00:16:16

I was going to bring up the contract.

00:16:18

It is.

00:16:19

If you got news of the contract, it would really solidify it for you.

00:16:23

Yes, it would. It would go from this more nebulous abstract cloud that I feel like we're reaching into and hoping you get the right guy.

00:16:32

Yeah.

00:16:33

Because dude, money talks.

00:16:35

Travis Hunter is the biggest— to me, you look at after the bye week last year where he was on pace for 1,200 yards. That was exactly the time that Travis Hunter went down. So you can make the argument that it was Travis Hunter being gone is the only reason Parker Washington got the extra play and was playing 80% of snaps. Can he do it? Yes. Can Michael Wilson do it? Yes. Will that be their role? That's the real question. And Travis Hunter, while he is not going to play enough snaps on offense to be himself a weekly starter, he is going to play enough snaps on offense to potentially just ruin everybody not named Trevor Lawrence for the Jags. That's my biggest worry.

00:17:15

Tyler Schuck, another quarterback that has moved up the ranks. We know what Mike thinks about Tyler Schuck. We know what Jason thinks about their wideouts. I don't necessarily agree. Jason put his wideout tears up on Twitter.

00:17:30

Oh yeah.

00:17:31

You did.

00:17:31

I missed it. I think you're, I think you mostly nailed it. I disagree on the, a couple of them. There were like Jefferson and Addison.

00:17:39

Yeah.

00:17:39

There's 3 in a different tier than Amon-Ra and Jameson. I didn't agree with that at all.

00:17:43

That was really, I will correct my mistake. That was an unintentional mental quarterback punishment. Putting those guys below the Lions.

00:17:54

Got it.

00:17:54

The other 2 that got, that got flack on there was how high I have Jordan Tyson and Chris Olave and Roma Dunze and Baker.

00:18:04

Yeah, I thought we were friends, Jason.

00:18:06

What, you want S tier, Mike, for a guy that's never played a snap in the NFL? That's not appropriate.

00:18:11

That's inappropriate. I think what I put up was very appropriate.

00:18:15

I mean, I think you hedged.

00:18:17

I think you got scared.

00:18:18

Bernard Dunze, Olave, Tyson are TBDs. On how good they'll be. Now this, you could, you could argue the way you rank. I mean, potential versus performance. If you're ranking based on what you think their potential is, that's fine, but you can't base it on performance yet.

00:18:33

Well, of course you can't with a rookie. I mean, you, you have to project. It's impossible not to.

00:18:39

Yeah.

00:18:40

Yeah.

00:18:40

But I think most people, when they talk about the talent level on a team, or it's oftentimes what you've seen versus what they're might be able to do. The only other one I thought was kind of wild, you put Rashi Rice in the uninspiring category. Yeah, that seemed a little low to me. I loved it. You— okay, what are we doing here? Just entertainment. All right, Tyler Shook has moved up 3 or 4 rounds, but he's basically free.

00:19:09

Mm-hmm.

00:19:10

Still quarterback 18 or so.

00:19:12

Yeah, I mean, Mike is, Mike is just over the moon about Tyler Shook. I think he saw enough in the, in the sample size that he feels like there's nowhere to go but up. We know the story in the NFL. You know, don't ask CJ Stroud how his rookie season went compared to the other years. Bo Nix took a step back last year compared to what we expected. We have, we've seen the ups and downs of these players. Yep.

00:19:37

But those teams didn't do what the Saints did.

00:19:40

Which is what?

00:19:41

Jordan Tyson in the top 10.

00:19:42

A top tier guy.

00:19:45

And you draft Jordan Tyson in the top 10 and then you give your true number 1 wide receiver all the money. I mean, this is just, this is a dream come true.

00:19:55

Plus you add—

00:19:55

This is, and it's fine. If you want to be like, I can't put him up there because I haven't seen Jordan Tyson take a snap. That's fine. But I will say, you know, when we do, hey, the time machine. It's like by next year, I think the Saints are going to feel like the Bengals and the Cowboys. Uh, if you're like, we have two top tier studs and we have a quarterback. I'm not saying Shuck is Burrow, but I'm saying like Shuck can put up numbers the way that like Dak puts up numbers when he has two elite wide receivers.

00:20:26

Do you believe that you can draft him and play him every week?

00:20:28

I do. The opening is going to be—

00:20:30

Does that make him the best pick in fantasy quarterback-wise?

00:20:34

Feels like it to me because he'll be free.

00:20:37

Yeah. I mean, he, the nice thing is he's got a rushing baseline. He'll rush for over 400 yards or around there. That is helpful when you're taking a late round quarterback or Shuck. Oh, Dak.

00:20:48

I'm more confident in, in Dak. So if you're talking, they're not that far apart in rounds anymore. Where's, where's Dak at?

00:20:54

Or is Dak a 6th? I think maybe Dak's way ahead of him.

00:20:57

Yeah.

00:20:58

Yeah. Okay. I thought Dak might, I mean, Dak's getting to the point where it's 6th round is a pretty big commit to Dak for sure. Shuck, you don't have to commit.

00:21:08

Shuck, you're talking about Jordan Love, Malik Willis. Those are the quarterbacks around him.

00:21:13

Yeah, QB 11 for Dak in the 9th.

00:21:15

So the way I see Shuck is, you know, when we talk about the years of— and look, I have Malik Willis in this area as well of like, you get to that last pick. You're like, I don't really like any of these sleepers. I'm not seeing any news that's changing how I'm feeling about guys. I'll just take a second quarterback and I'll see what happens in week one. You know, like the Lamar year, that was the advice. It was like, everything's set up for Lamar Jackson, but let's see if he can actually do it. And if you took him with your last pick, you more than likely won your league that year. I don't want to get hyperbolic and say Shucks a league winner, but he's that type of, of profile.

00:21:58

I'm for a different show.

00:21:59

I'm willing to draft a second quarterback where frequently I'm not.

00:22:02

All right. That was Performance Climbers brought to you by GMC. We are professional grade. We'll take a break and then we'll jump into the news.

00:22:18

News and notes from around the league. The league.

00:22:23

Well, this segment has got a lot of this stuff in it.

00:22:27

Taking over for the 99 and the 2000.

00:22:30

Big money contracts being doled out. Bijan Robinson, 3-year contract worth up to $75 million with $51 million guaranteed. And if you want to know how nice it is to be a wide receiver, Zay Flowers, 4-year, $140 million with $108 million guaranteed, more than double the amount Bijan gets guaranteed. In his contract. Big money for big money players. Securing Zay Flowers as the true one in Baltimore. Bijan, we knew he was going to get paid, just didn't know when. Maybe this clears up the path for Jameer Gibbs getting his contract. We'll see. Gibbs is not practicing. Bijan will return.

00:23:07

Yeah, I think this is exactly what's going to heal the ailment of Gibbs holding out because, you know, whoever goes second, they've got the market set and they just go, Give me that, but plus some.

00:23:20

Mike, prepare the electrical substation. Mike Evans did not practice.

00:23:26

Okay.

00:23:26

I guess I should say 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans did not practice Monday due to a quad strain.

00:23:32

It's not believed to be serious per Rapoport, but wait, there's more.

00:23:37

Kaelen Black also did not practice due to a groin injury. Mind you, Jordan James fractured a rib last week. Garendo's already on the IR. So Pierce Hall's out for the year. Kirk got hurt already. Stribling is also injured. I don't think we mentioned that. The electrical substation is in midseason form.

00:23:59

Move your practice. Like at some point the joke is done.

00:24:03

I'm in full agreement with that of the like, if I'm the management, We're spending cash. Yeah, we're fixing this situation.

00:24:12

I mean, it doesn't even matter if it's the substation, just to change the scenery.

00:24:16

Yeah.

00:24:16

Yeah. If you're in the— if you're playing, if you're practicing at the base of a volcano and they're like, that's, that's an idle volcano. There's no danger there. I'm still going to practice somewhere else.

00:24:26

Yeah.

00:24:26

You just do it for fun. Just move it.

00:24:29

They lost their undrafted edge to a torn ACL.

00:24:34

They did sign Khalil Herbert, so that's fun.

00:24:36

Khalil's like, I pass. He's like, he's like, no, thank you. I know I'm looking forward.

00:24:42

No way, man. Khalil Herbert's like, free check, baby. I'm going to show up. I'll be hurt within 2 weeks.

00:24:48

Yeah, I was going to say, 2 weeks of practice.

00:24:50

I'll get waived with my injury.

00:24:52

Is CMC wearing like grounding cleats or something? Like, does he have some sort of electrical copper bracelet? What are we doing?

00:24:58

The joke last year was CMC was siphoning everybody. That's the only way he was able to stay healthy. And he is wanting to be healthy this year. I will say this, the fact that you lost Piersall, Mike Evans, I know it's, it's not quote unquote serious. Of course this is serious for a player like Mike Evans who has been dealing his entire back half of his career with usually the back of the leg. I know, but it's this, it's the soft tissue in his legs. Like if he's already struggling with this, one of the legs connected to the back of the leg, then this, this is a problem. Last year, the reason CMC was so great, it wasn't efficiency. It was the fact that he—

00:25:34

availability.

00:25:35

Yeah.

00:25:35

Well, he, I believe he led the entire league in red zone targets at the running back position.

00:25:40

He might do it again.

00:25:41

That's my point.

00:25:43

Mike Evans, you, you, you were into Evans.

00:25:46

I love Evans here. It's a perfect match.

00:25:48

Evans and Adams are the two oldest players being drafted in the top 6 rounds in fantasy. Just bear that in mind.

00:25:54

I just want—

00:25:55

if you don't get a discount on those players, you should not draft them.

00:25:59

I never works out. I need Evans to miss enough practices and enough training camp to where he's like an 8th round pick.

00:26:05

Oh gosh.

00:26:06

That's because I really want to—

00:26:08

then you'll be even more concerned.

00:26:10

No, that's fine. But if I want Mike Evans on my team, but I just don't want to cost— I don't want the opportunity cost to be giving up something too valuable.

00:26:18

Mike Evans is going to be a very polarizing pick. He is a 5th round pick right now.

00:26:22

Yeah, too high.

00:26:23

Uh, Devon— uh, sorry, Devon to Smith, Makai Lemon, both not practicing, both hurt their hamstrings. Makai Lemon, that's a bit of a flag to me. You want rookies that can acclimate to the offense, and when you are missing multiple stretches due to a hamstring, which he was already dealing with some hamstring—

00:26:40

so this is a re-aggravation. I assume it's the same one. I don't know for sure, but presumably he has re-aggravated the issue that kept him out of camp.

00:26:48

Yeah, that happened to Luther Burden last year.

00:26:50

Yeah.

00:26:51

And that gave him a very slow start to his career. Kenyon Sadiq missed 3 straight practices, suffered a setback from a hernia surgery, will be out a little bit. Okay. Aaron Glenn said he'll be back week 1. Casey Concepcion expected, quote, to be fine after injuring his shoulder. And Greg Dulcich is nursing a minor injury, which unfortunately with Dulcich's injury, Malik Willis is now throwing the ball to the air. There's no, but that is the final, the final blow to where did you rank the Dolphins in your, in your Twitter?

00:27:26

I believe my tier was what are we even doing?

00:27:29

That way there's two teams in the what are we even doing tier. It's the Trey Tucker, Jaylen Naylor tier and the Malik Washington and Jaylen Tolbert tier. At least one of those teams has Brock Bowers and then the Malik Washington truthers came out and attacked you.

00:27:42

So All three of them.

00:27:46

I got— I'll open that door and I'll wave to the meeting from Lake Washington. I'll be like, hey guys, I'm not coming in.

00:27:53

Yeah.

00:27:53

I'm not putting a jersey on.

00:27:54

I'm not coming in, but I see you. I like what you're doing.

00:27:58

I'll take all top 40 wide receiver bets.

00:28:01

Well, it is time, guys. We've got our quarterback rankings show looking at 4-point-per-passing touchdown rankings. Let's get it going.

00:28:11

Quarterbacks.

00:28:13

We are looking at our top 10 rankings as of today, August 4th. Looking at positives, concerns, what could go right, what could go wrong, first matchups of the season.

00:28:25

Importantly, this is 4-point-per-passing touchdown leagues.

00:28:30

That's where the rankings come from in the UDK. Are these guys every week starters? The confidence level, I brought them up moments ago.

00:28:38

Number 10, Dak Prescott.

00:28:40

Prescott comes in at number 10. He is also 33 years old, one of the older players drafted in the first 9 rounds of fantasy drafts. Mike, you're the most bullish right now at 8. Jason at 11. I'm at 13. I think we all know what the potential of Dak is in this offense. 9th round pick, quarterback 11 off the board. He's always—

00:29:03

he is an awesome pick. He's an awesome pick. He, if he is healthy and playing, at worst, he is a top 12 quarterback. At best, he's a top 5. And it's like, it's Dak with CeeDee and George, which, you know, George Pickens has not been really talked about, which is actually, that's good.

00:29:29

You know, like we, as in he's not making news for correct bits of George Pickens.

00:29:34

Based off of his historical profile, at least the way he was talked about from Pittsburgh of, you know, just making problems. It was like, will this player who gets put on a franchise tag, will he make any problems? And it was just, it was real quiet. It was, nope, I'm going to sign it. And you thought, oh, that's interesting that that came out so fast. And then there's just, there's been nothing.

00:29:59

Well, Jones has come out and said in recent days that he wants Pickens there for the rest of his career.

00:30:05

So I'm bringing that up of, These are George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb are— where were they in your— they better have been S tier. They were, of course, they are elite wide receivers and Dak Prescott is—

00:30:20

you don't pay the Burrow price for Dak and you've got the same Burrow situation. So is that as simple as it is? I mean, it's so career highs in passing yards and pass attempts last year. Does, you know, does that change? I mean, that's like saying, does it change for Burrow right now until these teams have defenses that are not bottom of the barrel, which maybe, you know, both have worked on.

00:30:40

Dallas has improved their defense. Even with that, I don't— it doesn't matter. They can have a top 10 defense. I still think that Dak is going to be a top 10 quarterback.

00:30:49

But they can't have a top 10 defense. But I know what you're saying. Even if they did, it doesn't change my opinion.

00:30:54

They're allowed to.

00:30:55

Yes.

00:30:56

They certainly will not. And that is perfect for fantasy. If you just take the 10 games after CeeDee Lamb got back and then take out week 18 because they basically give honorary starts and didn't play. That stretch of 10 games, Dak was on pace for 4,870 passing yards and 30 touchdowns. So that's, that's great for fantasy.

00:31:18

All right. Yeah. I mean, I don't really have much more to add. He is a discounted potential top tier quarterback and will be for the remainder of his career due to age and name fatigue and, and, you know, the last 5 years he's gone as the quarterback 9 or later in every single draft regardless of performance. I'm sure, you know, at 33 you are going to be an injury risk. You're going to run less and less as the career progresses, but he's become a better and better passer. So we can move on.

00:31:47

Number 9.

00:31:48

Caleb Williams comes in at number 9. He is 24 years old. I've got him at 11. Jason at 8. Mike at 10. He is the 8th quarterback off the board. So I guess Mike and I are slightly below ADP there. He had 5 games, high-end finish games of 24+ points. He has not been consistent in terms of fantasy output. Everything about his potential for your fantasy team is projection. It is, you know, channeling your optimism around the good, not the bad, not the completion percentage below 60%. 41% of the time last year on our consistency chart, he exceeded 20 points. So that I do find myself, I want to want to play Caleb. Does that make sense?

00:32:34

Yeah, totally.

00:32:34

100%.

00:32:35

So I, you know, the schedule to start the year, I'll bring this up. If you are on the fence about Caleb, you should be excited about the first 6 weeks where you are favored in 5 of 6 games. You are playing 3 out of the first 4 games at home and Carolina is your opening matchup. That seems like if you are on the fence and you want to see how it goes, it's probably going to be okay at worst for the first 6 weeks.

00:33:03

Yeah.

00:33:03

Caleb is interesting. He is, he is the player this year that I think you're trying to project. Did he do it? Like his, his completion percentage is bad because he is not consistent. When you watch his film, he has just these unbelievably bad throws that are like, where did that come from? Because he's got great throws and then bad throws. You're hoping that this is a young player who just takes that leap forward and everything is, everything's on target. You know, you look at what's happened this offseason with his own regimen, his diet, his work. It seems like he is ready to play. We just talked about the weapons that Dak has. You know, Dak has Ferguson at tight end. Now, Lamb and Pickens are greater sign than, than Rome and Luther Burden. But you add in Loveland, you've got great weapons. You've got a great offensive mind. You've got a great offensive line. Everything is there for him to absolutely explode.

00:34:05

It's time.

00:34:05

The problem is for him to explode for fantasy and truly be like a top 3 quarterback, which is very much realistic in his range of outcomes. He has to actually take that level up. He has to do kind of what Josh Allen did and go from an impressive physical attribute player to a consistent, accurate quarterback superstar.

00:34:27

Yeah. And I do think, I mean, there is projection in the performance of his pass catchers because last year I think we, you remember going into the You went into the season hoping Loveland would be good, hoping DJ Moore would be good. Rome Odunze didn't quite live up to expectation. There was some, we didn't get the like how it's supposed to play out order, right? Like the plan, it was a roundabout plan to performance that happened a lot late in the season. So we are still projecting a little bit that Rome can, you know, step it up and continue to, you know, he's on the Marv Harrison kind of like slightly. Like, you know, they're good, but are they kind of past?

00:35:06

Right.

00:35:07

So, you know, when you look at potential concerns, you know, you want to get the accuracy up, which there's a big deal.

00:35:16

There are reports that I've been reading lately. Sean Hammond, you know, talking about accuracy of like it's been improved and it, and I think year 2 with Ben Johnson. It matters. Like the, the, the, he's a human being and he, you know, that was his second year in the league and it was already on a second offense. We've seen that destroy quarterbacks when they have to just keep learning a new system, a new system gets to be in year two of it, gets to have his wide receiver one and the tight end one all throughout training camp. I'm more optimistic for where I have Caleb. I mean, I don't have him ranked where it's like this is a surefire thing. But, you know, if you're talking like Dak or Caleb, it's like, well, Caleb can take what he did last year finishing at wide receiver 7 and quarterback 7. Yeah, thank you. Quarterback 7. And he could easily move up into being a top 5 player.

00:36:22

Number 8.

00:36:24

All right. This is, you know, if you, if you don't want to get mired in trying to figure out Jacoby Myers, if you don't want to get Jacoby Myers, no, that's not great. If you, and now you've just, my flow's off. You know, I was going to talk about trying to decide between pass catchers in Jacksonville, running backs in Jacksonville, all that good stuff. Maybe you just draft Trevor Lawrence. He comes in at number 8 for us. I've got him at 7. Mike, you have him at 7 as well. He was. The quarterback for last year. This is an example of, I mean, he went from the quarterback 26 again, he limited season, but he made a tier jump last year under Liam Cohen. And Liam Cohen has full control of this offense. Jacksonville is, there's so many weapons on this team. You've got a competitive, you know, a tight end, 4 wideouts, special players to come in and certain personnel groupings, Baysal Tuten, an explosive player. If you get the ball in his hands out of the backfield, maybe he goes the distance. There's just so much to like about Jacksonville overall. I think they are very much a dark horse Super Bowl candidate.

00:37:30

Maybe it's not even dark horse. Maybe it's like just a horse. Maybe he's just a regular horse.

00:37:34

Oh, I mean, he is the horse.

00:37:36

Horse boy.

00:37:37

He's been a horse candidate for a while.

00:37:39

Hey, there he is.

00:37:40

There's our horse boy.

00:37:42

We need him with his long locks though, man. You got to, got to get that taken care of.

00:37:47

I mean, what an incredible goof that was.

00:37:49

Part, the biggest part of Trevor Lawrence's performance last year in terms of fantasy output jumping has been, it was the rushing performance. It was 9 rushing touchdowns.

00:37:58

Oh, the rushing touchdowns. Yeah.

00:37:59

Well, yeah. And it was his career high in yardage too. But I think we can't expect 9 rushing touchdowns from Trevor Lawrence, but we can certainly expect 5 or 6. And with all of his weapons back and healthy, there's a chance that the passing touchdowns go up and I just like what I'm seeing from him and I think he has potential for top 5 performances too.

00:38:21

I do too. I certainly can't and wouldn't project a player like Lawrence to be near 9 rushing touchdowns again. So that coming back down hurts where he is in my rankings. However, you look at Liam Cohen, he got the rushing yardage and rushing attempts up with Baker Mayfield. That was a big deal. And it seemed like as the year went on, Trevor Lawrence finally figured out, dude, you are a very, very athletic quarterback that can scramble and help your offense if you use your legs.

00:38:51

I think he's always underperformed in that.

00:38:53

Always.

00:38:54

But he's the same size as Josh Allen. It really—

00:38:56

like Herbert. Yeah. Like Herbert, come on.

00:38:59

Yeah. Yeah.

00:39:00

Do something.

00:39:01

Just run. And, and, but I think that the thing I like is as the season went on, I believe this was intentional. Liam Cohen got more out of his legs. The second half of the year, he was on pace for over 400 rushing yards, which if that's his baseline, that he, with those weapons, I, you know, he's back at the 8-9 turn where he's been a 330-yard rusher 3 out of 5 years.

00:39:26

Like 400 yards is not out of the range of outcomes. I think that it's, Trevor is interesting to me of, so last year, 19.9 points per game. Caleb was at 18.6. We saw Lawrence like really taking off, but Lawrence is being drafted behind Caleb Williams.

00:39:45

The hardest part about Lawrence may be sticking with him through a tough early season schedule. He has to play Cleveland in week 1, then Denver, then New England, then, then Cincy. Congrats. But then Philly and Houston, like 5 of 6 weeks are against defenses I'm scared to have matchups against. There's a chance that he has a mid— like, if I could play— let me put it this way. If I could play Caleb for the first 6 weeks— okay, the Bears have the 6th toughest schedule, strength of schedule in the league, but their first 6 weeks are great. If I could play Caleb and then maybe trade him for Trevor, maybe that's the direction I would go. They have opposites there, but I just think that you're looking at an offense that could be a top 3 offense. I think that's— yeah, they could be the best offense in football. That's really possible, I think. So that makes them very interesting.

00:40:35

Number 7.

00:40:37

It's Jackson Dart coming in at 7. And this is a— we have a wide disparity in our individual rankings, which, you know, frankly doesn't match Mike's optimism and excitement for Jackson Dart from earlier, earlier in the offseason.

00:40:50

I've just— I have gotten more sad.

00:40:53

Look, Jason's got him at 6. I got him at 8. Which is a little bit higher than I had him before in this offseason. Mike at 12. His ADP is the quarterback 9 in the 8th round. There's just a lot that can go wrong. That's, that's the only argument for, for the Dart situation.

00:41:10

Having him at 12, that probably is too low for what we, what Dart put on the field of being a true fantasy difference maker. I mean, a couple real, real poopy pants performances from him, but a lot of like elite, you know, 20 plus points. If your quarterback scoring 20 or more points in a week, that's really, really helping you take down your opponent. But the, you know, I hate that Matt Nagy is there. He's the new offensive coordinator.

00:41:42

My biggest problem with it too.

00:41:43

Yeah. Like it just, and seemingly, you know, at least the way I'm looking at things, what Matt Nagy wants out of his offense versus where Jackson Dart really excelled last year, they don't jive. So I just, I have concerns that Matt Nagy is going to ruin everything for us for Jackson Dart's fantasy upside.

00:42:04

So I am all in on Jackson Dart for fantasy.

00:42:09

I want to be.

00:42:10

I, yeah, well, you, have that choice. You actually can. So if you really want to, just do it.

00:42:15

No, they made the choice for me. They hired a budget magician.

00:42:19

Yeah.

00:42:19

Either offensive coordinator.

00:42:20

I get that. And if this was a pocket passer, I would be more worried, but it's really the legs of Jackson Dart. He was running like Lamar ran. He was on pace in his starts for almost 700 rushing yards. That is, that is an outrageous amount. You can't be bad at fantasy In, you know, you could be Justin Fields and finish fine as a bad quarterback. And he's not a bad quarterback. He did that all without Malik Nabers. You look at his scores last year as a starter rookie without Nabers, 19.8. That's a, that's a great week. That's a great 15.6.

00:42:56

That's a good week.

00:42:57

Fine. Then it was 23, 28, 20, 27, 26.

00:43:03

I'm not certain the recipe for Jackson Dart. Will be the same. We lost Cam Skattebo. He had to scramble more, run more, take more chances, got himself more hurt.

00:43:13

Yeah.

00:43:14

So I'm not sure that the Harbaugh recipe for Jackson Dart— not that anybody can stop him from, you know, being himself. I think there's going to be an element of that. But injury is going to be a risk with Jackson Dart that needs to be baked into the situation.

00:43:28

Certainly.

00:43:28

He's also going to be one of the more like I think more people will reach on Jackson Dart at quarterback than a lot of other guys.

00:43:35

Yeah, he's because he's fun. He's exciting.

00:43:37

I just think getting Scatteboo back, having some actual pass catching weapons, it felt like Dart against the world, maybe Dart and Wondale against the world last year.

00:43:45

I think Scatteboo, I mean, obviously you want the offense to be good and Scatteboo is such a good pass catcher that I don't think that that is a negative thing for Dart. To me, I just look at a rookie who scored 20 fantasy points a game. In his starts, adds Malik Nabers. So why is he going into year 2?

00:44:04

Why is he being drafted in the 8th round is the question?

00:44:05

Because there's a lot of ways it can go wrong.

00:44:08

Okay. So you acknowledge.

00:44:09

Absolutely.

00:44:10

This is a, but in the, you know, where he's being picked in the 8th, 9th round, like who cares? I'm just looking for upside. There's, he could go out there and be the, you know, the competing with Josh Allen for the most fantasy points.

00:44:23

All right.

00:44:23

We'll take a break. We'll count down the final 6.

00:44:32

Number 6.

00:44:33

Number 6 is Drake May. I've got him at 5, Jason at 7, Mike at 6. He was the quarterback 3 last year. This is not tough mathematics, right? This is a player that performed at an extremely high level. MVP consideration passed, you know, one of the highest passing percentage teams in football completed a mind-boggling 14% more of his passes than Caleb Williams. 72% completion percentage has shown us he can go for over 4,331. Oh, and you added AJ Brown. That's, that's the Drake May bull case is that you did it.

00:45:11

Yep.

00:45:11

And now you add a true difference-making weapon that can go up and get the ball. I mean, the fact he did it with the receivers he had last year, to me is, you know, impressive.

00:45:24

Yeah, there's not much to argue against him. The only thing that is on the downside is last year his schedule was very, very, very easy. This year the schedule will be more difficult. So you're going to have to step it up. When he played some of those great defenses in the playoffs, they won, but he did not have good performances, certainly not statistically for fantasy purposes. So we'll We'll have to see, but I do believe that he has all the tools and can overcome bad matchups. Like if you believe he's elite, you know, we don't worry if Joe Burrow is in a bad matchup. You're not like, oh no, right? You know, sometimes you want him to be playing a great team because you want another team that can score on you. So Drake, Drake May is great. The two negatives are, can he do it against much tougher competition this year? He's not a free square anymore. You're giving up a 5th round pick to grab him.

00:46:16

It's probably the highest ADP jump of anybody in our top 10. He is year over year.

00:46:20

He is the QB3, which is market-wise, that's higher than we have him ranked.

00:46:25

That's right. So he may not be on our teams, but I think the performance will be there.

00:46:30

Number 5.

00:46:31

Mike, talk to me about Joe E.B.

00:46:33

Joe Burrow.

00:46:34

Joe Burrow comes in at 5. I got him at 6. So I do have him behind Drake May one spot. Jason at 4, Mike at 4. You guys both got him ahead of Drake May. He is the quarterback 4 off the board. I mean, we know that when Joe Burrow is healthy and has his 2 receivers, that it's a fairly unstoppable offense. And the schedule is amazing. Not only are they Warren Sharpe's 3rd easiest strength of schedule for 2026, I believe— I would— you can verify it. I believe they have the single easiest schedule for wide receivers in football.

00:47:10

Oh man.

00:47:10

So Tee Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase. What could go wrong? Everything in Cincinnati. But right now, and they have done work on the defensive side, both in the draft and through the trade for Dexter Lawrence. It will be a better defense. But you're going to need Joey B, right? You're going to need 4,500 yards from this guy.

00:47:32

100%. If Burrow's on the field, it's very much like Dak, except people respect Joe Burrow far more than, than Dak. He, when Burrow's on the field, he is like, he's a, he's a great fantasy quarterback. Year 2, 19.6 points per game. Follow that up with nearly 22 points per game the next year. Then he gets hurt. 2024. Back to 22 points per game. And then last year, of course, hurt again right at the beginning of the year. And the, you know, it's, it's hard to get the signal of, you know, a player's emotion and how they're doing. I don't know. The, the vibes out of Cincinnati feel different to me this year.

00:48:19

They feel very positive.

00:48:20

The way they feel extremely positive the way, and it's like, We're not doing a contract bullcrap where it's like for years of what are we doing with Tee Higgins and Chase and Burrow? Like, are we going to pay? I mean, of course they're going to pay Chase, but it's like, when will that happen? So none of those distractions are taking place this year. As far as we know, everybody is healthy at the moment. They have turned the team over to Joe Burrow. Chase Brown being the running back speaks even more. To that because he's just like Chase Brown receiving skills. He has receiving skills and he's just, he's not a, he's not a Rico Dowdle where it's like, oh boy, this is the week where they're going to give Rico 25 carries and Joe Burrow, I really hope he gets a touchdown. No, the offense is Joe Burrow with two elite weapons and Joe Burrow is an elite quarterback. I'm, I am all in perfect schedule.

00:49:12

He is Mike's quarterback one in six-point fantasy leagues if you want to know how much he believes.

00:49:17

Number 4.

00:49:18

All right, it's Jalen Hurts. This is— look, I will get out of the way.

00:49:23

This one, this one's, this one's hard.

00:49:25

I will get out of the way here. He is at 4. So there's your respect. So everybody that wants to jump on me for the next thing I say, your respect is in the ranking. Okay. The hard part is that you can say every single— I just said a bunch of stuff about Drake May and then I said they added AJ Brown. I'm going to say a bunch of stuff about Jalen Hurts. It was his least productive fantasy season since his rookie year. So basically since he was a starter, that was the least productive on a point per game basis. And now you lose AJ Brown. That's part of the storyline here. I feel like, you know, look, this is a good franchise organization. They drafted Makai Lemon. They have Dallas Goedert. DeVonta Smith's a stud. But statistically speaking, Jalen Hurts is two things this year. He's coming off his worst season and he's at the biggest discount for fantasy. So Jason, where are you? You said it's hard. Give me your thought process before we move to number 3.

00:50:20

Yeah, it's hard because this is a player who has so many fantasy points scored on the ground. That's, that's always been his game. And last year you had a player who's perennially 600-plus rushing yards, 700-plus rushing yards. Who ended with 421 rushing yards. This is a player who always has double-digit rushing touchdowns because of the tush push, sometimes up at 15. And last year he was down at 8 rushing touchdowns. So which is it? Is it a directional thing? He's older, he's running less, he's not that, that much of a weapon. I don't believe that. He's 27 years old. He hasn't aged out of mobility yet. I believe that Kevin Pétullo is the worst I mean, like, give me Matt Nagy over, over Pittsulo. That guy stinks. Now, we don't know if Sean Mannion is great. You know, sometimes I remember back in the day, it was like, well, this offensive line can't get worse. Oh, don't you say that out loud. It could. Maybe Sean Mannion is just as bad as Pittsulo. But the offense was disgusting last year. Literally, the Eagles offense, watching schematically, was like, they didn't do any— there's no creativity, no scheming guys open, no motion, no— all the things that work in the NFL.

00:51:37

Seen enough motion.

00:51:39

And Sean Mannion is coming from systems that work, and they're going to have him under center more.

00:51:45

Sean Mannion or Hurts?

00:51:47

They're going to have— well, either one, man. Sean Mannion could sling it, but Hurts will be under center more.

00:51:53

Do it like this, Jaylen.

00:51:54

They also have, you know, one of the best offensive lines that was very injured last year and should be healthy. So in my estimation, the tush push isn't going away. They're not going to stop using it. I think that he'll have double-digit rushing touchdowns for sure. He'll be at 500 rushing yards and he's at the biggest discount. So I think he's actually a pretty good pick in fantasy this year.

00:52:14

Yeah.

00:52:14

If you're, you know, number 3, I'm sorry.

00:52:16

I thought you were done, Mike.

00:52:17

No, apparently I'm done.

00:52:18

No, no. I thought you were. It's the, I think wrapping Jayden into this this discussion at some point will be good.

00:52:23

It's like, so, you know, tier-wise fantasy football, you have Josh Allen's kind of, he's his own thing, man. And then you have the, you know, the kind of that batch of other elite quarterbacks. Jalen Hurts is the lowest ADP. He, I think he has the highest risk, but it's still a potential difference maker.

00:52:43

Number 3.

00:52:45

You already did that.

00:52:48

Number 3.

00:52:50

So, so what's funny about this is so Jaden's at number 3 in our consensus. Hurts is at 4. Burrow's at 5. Through this conversation, I already want Burrow. That's the wild thing about this because I think the range of outcomes on Burrow is not necessary outside of injury, which I mean, look, yeah, yeah, yeah. Any play Jaden went down with injury like that can happen.

00:53:08

Yeah. But I think I want percentage-wise Jaden Daniels has been hurt half of his seasons.

00:53:13

Yes.

00:53:13

Look, Jaden Burrow's like half too.

00:53:15

Oh yeah.

00:53:16

Don't say that. It was a lost season for Jayden. We know that the thing that I wanted, the reason I hit 3 so soon, crap, it's half for Burrow, is because Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts are both in the 6th round and both to me are somewhat similar situations in the fact that you have a new offensive coordinator in both cities. You have a quarterback who's dependent on the rushing yardage. You have questions about the pass catchers in both cities to some degree. And both of them are at a discount relative to their previous spot in fantasy. So, you know, look, do I think that one of the two is probably going to work out really well for fantasy at ADP? Yeah, I mean, both might, but I'm sitting there with the stability of Joe Burrow, the schedule of Joe Burrow, the, you know, the receiving group for Joe Burrow. And I find myself a little bit nervous.

00:54:08

I could not agree with you anymore. When I finished my stats for Jaden Daniels, he was extraordinarily high. He was, you know, in some formats he was like my quarterback one because the rushing, the rushing upside is in that 700, 800 yard range. And like I said, when you have that level of rushing, you can't be bad at fantasy. However, I don't love the team outlook. I don't love the offensive outlook. I don't love the offensive weapons. I think Terry McLaurin is good, but he's old. He's going to be 31 this year. And they don't really know who the number 2 is. Maybe they'll bring in Stefon Diggs, but he's past his prime too. So the weapons are dicey. I think Jayden Daniels is great. He's great for fantasy, but he costs a lot. To me, when we look at this grouping of where you're taking these quarterbacks, I'm in complete agreement with you, Andy. If I'm taking a quarterback in this range, it's Burrow. Burrow's the best. He's got the best outlook, the best team dynamic, the best projected point total. The best weapons. If I'm going for the rushing mobile upside, that's why I'm all in on Jackson Dart.

00:55:10

Let me take a running back or wide receiver here. And if I'm going for the upside of this guy's going to have 800 rushing yards and kind of be the superstar for fantasy that Burrow can't do that on the ground, let me take him in the 9th.

00:55:23

Yeah. Anything to add there, Mike?

00:55:25

Oh, just the scramble rate was still incredibly high last year. So like Jaden's going to keep running. We know that 11% of Daniel's passes were dropped, which like, you know, that's fantasy points that that's not on Jaden Daniels. That's, that will probably bounce back. It's the, it's the weapons that, that's what freaks me out the most of like, is Ken Okonkwo, because if they don't add digs, it's, it sounds like Okonkwo will be The number 2 target who's paid.

00:55:57

Maybe Antonio Williams.

00:55:59

Sure. But it's like, is that enough to take Jayden Daniels with the rushing floor and keep him elite? Or are you just more of a floor player where you're like, I'm getting the QB7 every single week?

00:56:14

I think we know, Mike, if Jayden Daniels is awesome this year, if he ends up as a top 3 quarterback, the Senate has opened. Oh, what?

00:56:23

I am the Senate.

00:56:25

He's going to have to step up.

00:56:26

I don't like you getting in on this.

00:56:28

Oh, but is he going to step up? Probably not.

00:56:30

So I don't like you saying he's the skeleton key to success.

00:56:36

That's Ben Sennett, everybody.

00:56:38

Yeah. Tight end.

00:56:39

Also the tight end too on his own team.

00:56:42

Lamar Jackson comes in at number 2 in our rankings. We all 3 have him at 2, which means that just, you know, by extension, number 1, Josh Allen is number 1. So Lamar and Josh Allen at the tippy top of the board. Baltimore, high projected win total, favored in their first 6 weeks. Such a great pick, I think. They just locked up Zay Flowers. The optimism in Baltimore is extremely high. You know, we want to see Lamar, like you can't talk about depreciating performances in the aforementioned names and not talk about Lamar having a down season as well. Lamar was at 16.5 fantasy points per game.

00:57:26

It was a bad year.

00:57:27

So now we've been there.

00:57:29

It was very hurt last year.

00:57:31

We've been there before and like Lamar has now earned the level of respect that when he has a bad year, you can say that's just not Lamar. But it's fair to say like he's bounced back from years where he was hurt and had lower performances to MVP seasons. Being the number one overall quarterback. That's what he was in 2024. He's been the number one quarterback twice where he averaged over 25 fantasy points a game twice. So that's what a healthy Lamar Jackson brings to the table. Last year, missed time, missed games, lowest fantasy points per game, lowest rushing yardage ever.

00:58:11

The rushing is the big one and it was so hurt, man.

00:58:13

He was.

00:58:14

It was even worse and maybe it was because of the injury when he got back from the injury the second half of the year, the 9 games he played. He was on a 16-game pace of 345 rushing yards.

00:58:26

You could see it. You could see the way he was moving around.

00:58:28

He wasn't Lamar.

00:58:29

And the decisions he was making of where you're like, oh, healthy Lamar Jackson right there runs for 15 yards and he would turn it down.

00:58:38

And he'll turn 30 this year. So the rushing upside is the real question. Obviously, I think their weapons are better. They spent a couple of draft picks on some rookies. Zay Flowers is good. They've got a good running game. They're good organized. Sure. He's paid like he's great for sure. So the question, the question for Lamar Jackson, who's broken fantasy two different times and basically guaranteed you a championship, is will he run like Lamar Jackson of his career or is that high end, you know, 700 plus rushing yards? Is that done? That's the question to me that you have to— if you're drafting Lamar where he is, which is totally fine, you have to truly believe he's just getting back to rushing and he's healthy. And the reason he didn't last year was because of the injury.

00:59:27

What do you put the percentage chance that Josh Allen finishes as the QB1 versus the percentage chance that Lamar does?

00:59:34

80%. If it's just versus those two, I think, I think 80% on the Allen side. Josh Allen scores more fantasy points.

00:59:40

Jesse Minter, the new head coach, Declan Doyle. A much less predictable offensive coordinator coming in. There's excitement from Lamar about this situation. They did draft a couple of rookie wide receivers to add to the bunch behind Zay Flowers, brought back Andrews. But again, this, this offense, we've seen Lamar be an MVP with no pass catching options. He's very much like, like we've seen Josh Allen do it with really no pass catching options. So those two are in a special category.

01:00:09

That's why they're at the tippy top of this Ranking the thing for Lamar's rushing. So last year Baltimore was number one in early down rush rate and they're like, not Lamar. Like this is, we're giving the ball to the Yeti. We're giving it to Derrick Henry, which overall that's a, it's a pretty good idea to go with. But the, the system. So Doyle's coming in from Chicago. This is a Ben Johnson type of system is what you have to project. 16th in early down rush rate. That means we're throwing more on first down. And that's, that's good for fantasy football because we're getting Lamar some more numbers. It is also more opportunities to run like this is, we talk about Jayden Daniels scramble rate. You can only scramble if you're given a passing attempt. And the way that this offense works, it wouldn't surprise me if Lamar scrambles even more based off of what his career averages are as as defenses have to respect things and drop back even more. So I'm very bullish. I look at last year of Lamar. I'm waving it off as this was like, that was truly the first. We all are.

01:01:20

Yeah.

01:01:20

But I'm saying like, even the years he was hurt in 2021 and 2022 when he played 12 games, he was 20 points a game, 19.7 points a game. So it's I mean, that's still not horrifically bad. In 23, he was at 20.7 points per game, and that was good for QB4. As in that, that range of 3 years, it wasn't all that different. He just happened to miss some games in 2 of the 3 years. Lamar is, is, is still perfectly fine because I think that's the biggest question is, are you willing to forgive Lamar for last year and move forward with him as your QB1? Going in the fourth round, I 100% am.

01:01:59

Yeah. And the schedule is great for him to start the year. The schedule is great for Josh Allen to start the year as well in terms of being favored in 5 of 6. Allen is a machine. He's the all-time leader in fantasy points per game at the position. He has shown that he can do it multiple ways. He was the quarterback 1 in 2021 with 35 passing touchdowns. He was the quarterback 1 in 2023 with you know, double-digit touchdowns on the ground, 15. And he's, he's only been in the 20s in passing touchdowns. He was 35-plus for 3 straight years. Then he's in the 20s and it doesn't matter. He's had 2 out of 3 years with the number 1 overall finish. He's a goal line running back.

01:02:39

I was going to say they added the tush push and that changed a lot. You don't need the passing touchdowns if, you know, he's the big-bodied back, you know, the big body quarterback. Just like Jalen Hurts. And so when you have those double-digit rushing touchdowns, like Lamar can't do that. They're not using Lamar on the goal line the same. He would have to like scramble out. They're not going to just tush push Lamar. They will do that with Josh Allen.

01:03:02

Yeah.

01:03:03

The cheek sneak.

01:03:04

The left-sided cheek sneak. Here's a cool stat from Dwayne McFarland on X. This is the playoff advance rates for Josh Allen on fantasy teams on ESPN by season. So 2025, last year, 58% playoff advance rate. The year before, 58%. The year before, 62%. The year before, 59%. The year before, 49%. The year before, 51%. The year before, 51%. And he's been all over the place. Sometimes he's been as high as pick 21 overall. And you know, as low as 30, not including like his breakout years, 105.

01:03:36

So Josh Allen at 212 is just never going to be a bad pick. He scores a lot of points. Lamar's QB2 per ADP in the 4th.

01:03:44

The problem there is you play with fire on the weight. I mean, if you look, if I could always get Lamar there, I just don't think that's going to be the case. That's where he's settling, but I think he's going to bounce around based on—

01:03:58

of course.

01:03:58

And I just feel like I'm— I'd be nervous about the weight there. And if you believe that there is that big of a tier jump, then like Jason said, it's not going to be a bad pick. You don't mess that pick up. That pick is not ruined. You didn't draft a mistake. It's not sure. Ken Walker, we hope he goes. It's great. I have him.

01:04:17

I can't believe they're even bringing that name up as a possible mistake.

01:04:20

It's possible.

01:04:22

It's possible. It's possible.

01:04:23

You can't put Omari and Hampton.

01:04:25

It's possible.

01:04:26

Absolutely. That one is possible.

01:04:27

It's not also, also DJ Moore is added to the scene. I know we haven't been bullish on DJ Moore. He's looking great so far in training camp. But like maybe negative for Josh Allen. It's not a negative to have a legitimate receiving option. I mean, his number one receiving option over the last couple of years has been Jack Squat.

01:04:43

Is that your way of— is that the name?

01:04:45

Mr. Squat.

01:04:46

Khalil Shakir?

01:04:46

Yeah. Yeah. I've never— I mean, Khalil Shakir is a fine player, but he's not a one or even a two.

01:04:53
