The fantasy footballer studio is sponsored by Walmart. Welcome to the fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

00:00:25

Oh, welcome in.

00:00:30

Friday, October 17th.

00:00:39

Shaking my head after that Thursday night game. Welcome into the fantasy footballers. 33 to 31. I know the world wants to hear our reaction to that madness, but...

00:00:53

What a game.

00:00:55

Exactly how everyone saw it going.

00:00:59

I remember I was asking you earlier in the week, Are you excited for this game? You're like, Yeah, maybe.

00:01:04

Yeah, maybe. Maybe we'll get lucky. It was awesome for many players. It was very not good for others, but I hope you played your Steeler's tight ends, right?

00:01:17

Yeah, I mean, AFC North. This is just how it always goes.

00:01:20

Yeah, it's a hard nose, rough and tumble. Defense first. 13 to 10. No, 33, 31 bangles. 342 Two yards passing for Joe Flacko, three touch downs. Joe Flacko, I saw something this morning. He now has the same amount of wins as Joe Burrow in games in which the opponent scored 30 or more points.

00:01:42

Wow. It's very specific.

00:01:44

Well, I mean, It's not that bad. It's just literally, if the bangles give up 30, can you win the game? And Joe Flacko managed to do it. He passed the ball to Jamar Chase 23 times. That's what we're talking about. It reminds me of Brandon Marshall on Monday Night Football years ago from Jake Cutler. I can remember it clearly because he had 17 catches on 20 something targets. I mean, this was throw it to your best player on every play.

00:02:10

It wasn't just throw it to your best player on every play. It was we got two plays. Oh, It was good. My favorite part of the game by far, and it was- It was routed. It was amazing, was when there were four identical routes and passes in a row.

00:02:26

To end the half, it was just out route.

00:02:28

It was just like, Hey, That's what I said. Tomar Chase, run 15 yards, go to the left. I'm going to throw you the ball four times in a row. It's going to work. They can't stop it.

00:02:35

No.

00:02:36

The final drive, he got more open than he did all day after 21 targets. I don't understand.

00:02:42

Oh, man, don't get me started on the Steeler's defense. They didn't have one. I couldn't believe how bad... It was like they were playing eight guys on defense.

00:02:52

People don't know this, but you traded for the Steeler's defense from me mid-show.

00:02:59

Mid-show yesterday.

00:03:00

Yesterday.

00:03:00

To play them. Great defense that's been on a heater.

00:03:04

You got how many points?

00:03:06

I got negative one. So I spotted Josh a point and got rid of one of my roster spots. That was-But I traded for that.

00:03:12

It felt like you were counterpunching my Justin Jefferson trade.

00:03:17

That's true. You're Justin Jefferson trade. You were like, I got to make a move. I got to make a move. I got to beat Josh this week. I need those negative points, man.

00:03:26

The game, it also was like, it reminded me of Joe Flacko. Yeah. Right. Hey, I messaged Slack like halfway through the game. I've seen enough. Turns out the Cleveland Browns were actually the problem. It was not Joe Flacko.

00:03:45

That's why Mike Tomlin didn't like the trade. Yeah, because- That cost them a game.

00:03:50

For sure, it cost them. With Jake Browning there, there's no chance.

00:03:54

No, no, no. 31 to 3, it would have been.

00:03:56

When we were like, Can Joe Flacko really change things for the Cincinnati bangles. It was, I mean, just go two weeks ago. After seeing what Flacko was doing on the Browns, yeah, you got to have some hope, some optimism that a change will be different. Bringing up. Joe Flacko is just... He's a veteran quarterback. He can make reads real fast. So the offensive line, while it's a problem, Joe Flacko can actually identify where I got to go real, real quick more than Jake Browning. And that came through huge.

00:04:30

I I hope this doesn't come off too hot takey. But it honestly feels like Joe Burrow, behind this offensive line, was doing worse because he was trying to do more. Maybe. Flacko is so afraid of getting hit and knows he can't buy time in the pocket. I was watching the defense like a Hawk for the Steelers because they were my fancy defense, and it was impossible. You couldn't sack him because the ball just was snapped and out. Snapped, two steps out. Snapped, three steps out. It's like, you can't... But JJ Watt was doing great. Never got to him. I mean, he'd beat his guy, and by the time- How frustrating that must be. It was frustrating for him, frustrating for me more. And so it was like, I kept having that thought during the game of like, Man, I wonder if they make the playoffs and Joe Burrow comes back. He needs to learn a lesson from this because Joe Burrow is better, obviously, today than Joe Flacko. But he took sacks that killed drives because he's trying to make something special.

00:05:33

It would be an amazing performance if Joe Flacko had been there all year long. It's even more amazing in the fact that he just showed up. And if you saw the postgame interview with him and Jamar Chase, he was like, We got these play calls to have F at the end of the call. He's like, I don't even know what they are. He's like, I don't even understand what they're calling.

00:05:52

Did you see the quarterback read the run? That was unbelievable.

00:05:59

Oh, my That was not called. That was not called? That was Flacko. Joe Flacko was like, It's my time. Got to call my own number.

00:06:06

It was insane. I mean, Jamar Chase, if it's any consolation, I traded you the Steeler's defense, Jason, but then I faced Jamar Chase last night. It's a little bit better. For my week's over.

00:06:18

To all the people, with Jamar Chase, trying to remember where we were two weeks ago, it's like, What do you possibly do? If I had Jamar, I would have traded him.

00:06:30

I was going to say-I would have traded him. Somebody went online and they were calling us out for saying that we would have traded him for huge. This was a time before Joe Flacko, when you had Jake Browning doing nothing in this offense. Also, the fact of-I wouldn't do that now. I wouldn't have done that before this week.

00:06:43

I'm saying, when Even when they traded for Flacko, you weren't two weeks ago, like, Well, this is the solution. Well, maybe it could be slightly better. We're only two weeks. Maybe teams figure out how to get to Flacko and stop this. But this is so exciting.

00:07:01

Yeah, they gave up 31 points still. They still did that. They gave up 249 and 4 to Aaron Rodgers. They made Pat Freier-Muth, the Lutherth man in the world.

00:07:09

But like Tee Higgens having himself a great game, 6 for 96 with a TD.

00:07:14

The Chase Brown went over 100 rushing.

00:07:17

There was one big disappointment in the game.

00:07:19

100%.

00:07:21

Look. And the D stands for disappointment.

00:07:23

2: 49 and 4. That's what Aaron Rodgers threw out. I mean, the stream's unbelievable. This is so absurd.

00:07:32

Oh, Joe Flacko was the stream.

00:07:33

This is so absurd. Rogers and Flacko being the streams coming through in huge ways. But 2: 49 and 4. Clearly, D. K. Metcalf had himself at least a very good game.

00:07:44

I'll take it one step further. Right off the bat, a 39-yard pass to D. K. Metcalf.

00:07:49

That means he had 11 the rest of the way?

00:07:51

Yeah. It was like, Oh, D. K. He didn't get a target.

00:07:53

John H. Smith scored, Darnell Washington scored, and Freyermuth, the three tight ends.

00:07:58

I believe second and third quarter. Second and third quarter, I don't think D. K. Metcalf got a target. And what was- Just the way Arthur likes it. Tied ends only. That one felt so bad because everyone that you played on the Steeler side, great. Jalen Warren, absolute dog. Full workload. 16 for 1, 27, 4 for 31 through the air. I don't know if you guys noticed this, but so the last pass there at the end before they set up the Hilmary, which, shout out to Aaron Rodgers, still cannon-armed. Unbelievable.

00:08:37

Still cannon-armed. Did you know? 70 yards in the air.

00:08:39

It was like 68 point something, but it was the longest pass through the air since 27 17. This version of Aaron Rodgers did that.

00:08:48

I can't believe he got it in the end zone.

00:08:50

Yeah, but they ran one play because we got to get a couple of yards to set it up. He's like, Obviously, he's going to go to D. K. Metcath. No, he went to Friar Muth.

00:09:00

I think he just went to the end zone, man. No, no, no. The short yardage play, it was like Aaron Rodgers in that time where he's going to just go to the guy that he trusts to make a play.

00:09:12

At that point of the game, he's like, I'm not throwing it to Dike. I'm throwing it to Muth.

00:09:16

You guys have seen the clip of Aaron Rodgers after the- Yes, getting- Prior Muth, touch them where his own guy comes up and celebrates with him, jumps on his back, accidentally- He tackles him.

00:09:27

Yeah.

00:09:27

Well, he tackles him because he's old, and I get that because it's like- And he's a gigantic offensive lineman. And he's a gigantic offensive lineman. But he wasn't tackling him. He was jumping on his back, and then Aaron Rodgers is all and fell down. And Aaron Rodgers gets up and is like, Get off me. So pissed off. And I get it. I get both sides of it, but also it's the most Aaron Rodgers thing. Oh, it is. Just what a cremochet.

00:09:48

I get it.

00:09:50

When I get startled, I'm mad. I'm not a startled. Oh, I laugh it off. I get startled. I instantly get angry. There's nothing I can about it. Is there anything else?

00:10:04

No. I mean, Jalen Warren was good. Everyone was good. Freaking D. K.

00:10:07

Metcath.

00:10:07

Except for D. K. Metcath, who was below average.

00:10:10

Well, not only below average, the interception.

00:10:14

Yeah. It was him.

00:10:16

He just there. The bangles are like, Give me that.

00:10:20

All right, it's Friday.

00:10:26

Put Klan Friday.

00:10:31

Every Friday, we say thank you to the Foot clan, and we give a $100 gift card to fancychamps. Com to a supporter over at jointhefoot. Com. Oh, boy. This week's winner, HLA Lover 2000. Lover. Okay, yeah, we'll go with that. Congratulations. Thank you for supporting the show, jointhefoot. Com. You got 100 bucks, two fantasy champs. Let's talk news.

00:10:57

News and notes from Around the League. Presented by Progressive Insurance.

00:11:04

Well, we had one of the wide receiver shoes dropped officially, formally. Pukunakuha rolled out for this week. That'll be nice for your lineups being able to set some things up. We're still waiting on Abuka and Harrison and Garrett Wilson.

00:11:19

Oh, no, Garrett Wilson. He's doubtful. He's got a chance. Yeah, we need to- A chance of a multi-week injury.

00:11:26

We talked about this. I think we'll put this into play next year, but we'll let Doubtful start to go into the IR. Yeah, on sleeper. Because if that player becomes active and you want to play them, you still have to drop somebody to move them back into the lineup. So I don't think that's a big deal. All right, David Najoku did not practice again. Chuba Hubbard, limited on Thursday. Calvin Ridley did not practice on Thursday. Stefan Diggs limited. Any concerns from that group?

00:11:51

I mean, Najoku is not going to play, I don't think.

00:11:54

I would agree with that. And then Chuba is the one I'm most interested in just to see that that Riko resurgence or surgence, we should say.

00:12:03

Is that?

00:12:04

I don't know if it's really a resurgence. I know he was good at the end of last year, but he's never done what he's done this last two weeks.

00:12:12

Like he didn't rush for 1,000 yards last year?

00:12:15

A lot of guys rush for it. No, they don't. That's like 57 yards a game. He's rushing for 200 yards a game. There's different things.

00:12:22

That is. You're moving the goalpost, man.

00:12:24

Jason, once again, surgeon. It's not a real word, but I get what you're saying.

00:12:29

Yeah, you know what I mean.

00:12:30

Jacobi, Myers, Brock Bauer didn't practice. Seems like both are going to miss. What do you do? Let's ask the question briefly here. Is Trey Tucker the number one?

00:12:42

It seems like it for now, yeah.

00:12:44

Because Jack Basch, he played 75% of snaps. He had zero catches last week. Thornton did nothing.

00:12:50

Yeah, well, Thornton is off the field now. Basch is just back to the dynasty hold.

00:12:56

But now you're going to move. What I'm saying is if Jacobi Myers and Brock Bowers are off the field, who's the spot start this week? It's Tucker? Yeah. Jj McCarthy, limited again. Carson Wins, a full participant. Seems like Carson Wins is going to play. Dj Moore, returned to a limited practice with the...

00:13:13

Oh, man, it's going around.

00:13:15

Yeah.

00:13:15

Deandre Swift was added to the injury report because of a groin injury, groinindex. Com, letting us know their quotes on the matter.

00:13:24

Yeah, this was a later addition, so it's a little scary.. Kyle Mononga.

00:13:31

He needs to be rostered.

00:13:35

Probably already is.

00:13:37

Yeah, probably. But guys like that, they go on and off of the waiver wire.

00:13:44

Ceedee Lamb is going to play. Terry McLaurin looking not good again.

00:13:49

Yeah, man.

00:13:50

What is going on there? He didn't practice on Thursday after a limited Wednesday. It's not really working well.

00:13:55

I had this thought. We talked about how the holdout guys over the last several have not had a great run of getting back to football when they hold out of training camp. Obviously, with Brandon Iyuk and Terry McLaurin here this year. Is that like, R ushy Rice, who is not holding out, but also he was not able to practice, right? I don't know. Sure.

00:14:18

There is definitely some of that to be... It's a variable. When the guys are doing the hold in, though, I feel like they're at practice just...

00:14:27

Yeah, just standing around.

00:14:28

Just standing around where she writes, I mean, per the video. Yeah. That dude is the comeback.

00:14:34

Yes. Because the world is against me. People were very eager...

00:14:39

How dare they be upset of my breaking of the law.

00:14:42

They were very eager to let me know as though we had forgotten that he's coming back from an injury as well. But the truth is that if- That's why he was missing time. He was healthy and would have played in week one with the injury. He was already in training camp and preseason. So As far as I'm concerned, you returned from the injury when you played in preseason. Right. Okay? You returned.

00:15:08

His ankle was okay on an accelerator there.

00:15:12

And by the way, this show, we make jokes. All I know that he's not O. J. Simpson, all right? That was a funny little joke, all right?

00:15:22

Being hyper volatile.

00:15:23

It was me picturing O. J. Making a comeback video. That's the funny part of it.

00:15:28

You were just taking a stab at it.

00:15:36

Thank you, Jason.

00:15:38

I'm joking.

00:15:39

That's a Norm McDonald joke. That is a good...

00:15:43

Hey, Debo, by the way, Tom Pelacero, your boy, Mike. Real uncertainty about whether Debo or McLaren will be available. Who's the pickup for you? Is it Macafre? Luke Macafre? Is it Jalen Lane?

00:15:55

Tell me why it's Treyland Birks.

00:15:57

Wait, did they sign him?

00:15:58

Yeah, they signed him. To the practice squad. Yeah, he's not ready to play. He's not going to be starting this week, but they did sign him. Well, that is still indicative of injury issues and concerns. Yeah. I mean, if you go out and sign Treyland Birks, that's a good indication that they're concerned about McLaren and Samuel in their wide receiver room.

00:16:15

Yeah. Okay. Well, Debo, Terry McLaren on red alert there. Quentin Johnston, he's supposed to be back.

00:16:23

Yeah. I mean, at least on sleeper, I thought he got upgraded to healthy.

00:16:27

So still was limited on Thursday. Monitor that. Josh Downs, no practice, concussion. He's not going to play. It seems like he's going to be out. And we'll talk about more injury situations in the matchups today.

00:16:38

The CD Lam news. I don't think we said it on the show, but Andy, you told me that there was a quote from Schottenheim Schottenheimer? About whether you are frozen. That was so... That was... That freaked me out. I thought I was in a simulation there. If you go to the YouTube, you straight froze.

00:16:57

I did. You jumped in, and I didn't want to But the Schottenheimer quote, what was it about whether or not he's breathing? Are you concerned with... What does he have to show you? How do you know? What do you have to show in practice this week to make you feel good about him playing? And you just said if he's breathing.

00:17:11

Also, then yesterday, there was the-So reporting now he is breathing. It was Schoetenheimer's birthday, apparently, and he said, This is my birthday present.

00:17:19

He's having CeeD Lambert.

00:17:20

It's a big deal.

00:17:22

It is.

00:17:23

All right. Anything else you want to chat about? No, that's it. Freeze me on. That was news and notes sponsored by Progressive Insurance. Quote today at progressive. Com. Progressive casualty insurance company affiliates and third-party insurers. Not available in all states or situations. Coverage subject to policy terms, limits, and conditions. All right, we'll take a break and jump into the forecast.

00:17:46

Fantasy Forecast, presented by Prizepicks. Yesterday, we covered the Rams, Jags, the London game.

00:18:01

We covered Saints, bears, dolphins, browns, patriots, Titans, Raiders, chiefs, eagles, Vikings, Panthers, and jets. We'll move on to the rest of the matchups today. Still monitoring a few weather situations. Again, when you're talking about it on Thursday. There's a long way to go between Thursday and Sunday morning and how things change. We've had lots of games that look bad that end up fine.

00:18:26

The Cleveland Miami game.

00:18:28

Well, there you go. Wait. Breaking news. Sorry. Mclaren officially ruled out already. So he is not coming back.

00:18:36

That escalated. Also escalating the reports for weather in the Cleveland game. Wait, they're getting worse now? Well, it's just moving from a this could happen, to now it's moving to... This is a shout out to Kevin Roth, who's saying his models. Now we're looking at trending to a sustained wins of 20 to 25 with gusts around 40. That's bad. He keeps an eye on it, and he tries to be pretty measured of just pay attention. It's moved into the-With definite rain is what I'm seeing. Oh, yeah. But if it's Rain, I don't really care about unless it's a torrential downpour. But rain, when you have 20-mile-an-hour winds, that's a problem.

00:19:24

All right. Well, speaking of a problem, this implied point total for the Giants is a problem. The Giants are two and four. They travel to Denver to take on the four and two Broncos.

00:19:35

I just want to party with the Giants. I know. The Denver Broncos are-The Vegas line here, Denver-Party poopers.

00:19:41

Minus seven, over and under 39 and a half.

00:19:47

All right.

00:19:49

Does that help?

00:19:50

Andy's almost upset of the week.

00:19:53

That's a big line. I got some room there. The Giants, implied point total of 16. 3. Broncos, 23. 3. I think this game will be closer. The Broncos have been a very up and down team.

00:20:10

They haven't looked great. Some weeks, they looked great. Some weeks, they looked inept.

00:20:15

Yeah, they're not like just having a slightly off week. They look real bad on the weeks that they're off. Now, they're at home. They're heavily favored. They got a great defense. You expect them to put a lot of pressure on the Giants and Jackson Dart and Skatebu and company, but I still think I think that the Giants will be able to keep this thing close. They have a good defense of their own. The way that the Broncos have played, do they get it going again? We'll see. I'm not saying that they're going to lose the game, but I think it could be a lot closer On the Giants side of the football, Jackson Dart somehow still only rostered in 54% of leads. That doesn't make sense to me with the rushing upside of Jackson Dart. Not that you have to play him, nor would I probably play him here with the risks involved. But you can have a... Justin Fields is an example of you can have a very ineffective passing, low yardage game, but big fantasy day just by running the football.

00:21:10

Yeah, I think he's probably not rostered because the schedule is tough. It's Denver this week. It's Philly next week, which obviously that's who he just was the quarterback for against, but you don't really like.

00:21:20

He was at home in that one.

00:21:21

He was at home. There was no Jalen Carter. It's like you don't expect him to repeat that magical win against Philly. I'm sure will be huge underdogs despite just beating them. That's the tough part about rostering Jackson dart. I do think he is certainly fantasy viable throughout the season in the right match.

00:21:41

Will he run for more than 50 yards like he has for his first three starts?

00:21:44

Not in this one.

00:21:45

Just because Denver is very good at that.

00:21:46

Denver, yeah. The mobile quarterbacks are not getting it done. You have Daniel Jones at 2 yards, Herbert at 6, Jalen Hertz at 3, Justin Fields had 31. Yeah.

00:21:56

No, it's a good point.

00:21:58

You can't A quarterback run on the Broncos.

00:22:01

You were the Kam Skatebu guy last week, Jason. You gave us the encouragement to play him in what seemed like a tough matchup. We're here again. It seems like a very tough matchup, seventh against the run.

00:22:11

There's no world where I'm ever benching Kam Skatebu. I don't even look at the matchup personally. The matchup is irrelevant when you are getting 20 opportunities a game. What he did last week in helping cement the new Giants means that the opportunities will still be there this week. So 20 opportunities, maybe it turns into a bad game and a tough defense. He scores nine fantasy points, and you're disappointed. But I'm always going to take the opportunities. You'd have to have Josh Chips and Jonathan Taylor to be like, Okay, I've got to sit down Skatebu.

00:22:49

There's only four runningbacks in the last five weeks that have been in the top 24 every week, and he's one of them with CMCA, Achan, and Jonathan Taylor.

00:22:56

Skatebu right now- He's the only one that eats crans of that group. He loves crans, lead chips, rocks. He started eating rocks. Skatebu in week one played 12% of the snaps, wasn't really involved in his first rookie game. And including that game, he's the running back 10 in fantasy football. Goodness gracious. He's dominating as a rookie. It's nice because if they're up like they were last week, he'll get 19 carries and probably be scoring a shutdown, and that's why they're up. If they're down, like in previous weeks, he gets seven targets, eight targets. He's involved in the passing Well, they don't have receivers.

00:23:31

I mean, Wanda Robinson is there, but Darius Slateon is hurt. Little Jordan Humphrey up from the practice squad to be their leading receiver last week. Theo Johnson seems to touch down her bus.

00:23:40

We should just call him Jordan Humphrey.

00:23:42

But that's not his name. Yeah, his name is Little Jordan. He's so big. He is a big guy. He is. It's a juxtaposition. Yeah, he's Little Jordan.

00:23:49

Little oxymoron?

00:23:51

Yeah.

00:23:53

Like Jumbo shrimp.

00:23:54

Or like Lil John. Right.

00:23:58

Or Lil Jordan Humphrey.

00:24:01

Like jumbo shrimp.

00:24:03

What is the size status of Lil Wayne?

00:24:05

Oh, he's small. He's little. He's very small.

00:24:08

Okay, so he is.

00:24:09

He's a teensy, tiny guy.

00:24:10

He is Lil Wayne.

00:24:11

Yeah. Okay.

00:24:12

Math checks out on that one.

00:24:14

J J. K. Dobbins. What's the temperature check on J. K. Dobbins? The Giants defense?

00:24:19

100% the same as Skatebu to me. This is a guy, he's not getting 20 opportunities a game, but he is getting enough work. He had a very bad game last week, and so people might go, Oh, I want to move off of him or pivot off. But he is the guy. The utilization was still there. His usage, 78% of the running back rushing attempts last week. The Giants don't have a great run defense. Usually, most of the season, they're ranked 24th and schedule adjusted against running back. So to me, Dobbins and Skatebu are in. Obviously, Corland Sutton, Andy, is your start of the week, should be a good bounceback player. Big The biggest question to me is Bo Nicks.

00:25:02

Yeah, I think Bo Nicks is a fringe. He's a fringe starter, depending on what you have. I don't think I'm really settling into Bo Nicks being your every week start at all for the rest of the season. I wouldn't feel comfortable with that going into the playoff.

00:25:17

Yeah, I can agree with that. Bo Nicks, Giants this week, it's not bad. It's just middle of the pack. Dallas next week, okey dokey. That's good stuff. Fire him up. Delightful. Houston, on the road, not great. But then Vegas, okay. Kansas City, not great.

00:25:38

It's a red-light-green-light situation.

00:25:40

It really bounces around, honestly.

00:25:42

So pick up another player maybe.

00:25:44

Yeah, You might need to do a little your own bench streaming.

00:25:48

Well, you can look at the strength of schedule tool on the website, the stream finder tool, and try to identify some players. Anybody else on that side of the ball that you want to talk about? I mean, RJRV is not jouable right now. The wide receiver's Mims and Franklin and all them not jouable right now.

00:26:04

If I'm doing anything, this is a deep league type of a situation because it's a little bit... But their rookie, Pat Bryant, who had a lot-There's room. He had a lot of offseason hype going around him. I think it was a third-round pick. Sean Payton talked glowingly about him. We liked him in the offseason. I liked him in the offseason because the number two was not established for the Denver Broncos. It seemed like at the beginning of the year, Troy Franklin is going to take that job and run with it. And he was doing okay at the beginning. The snaps have decreased while the route participation for Pat Bryant has increased. So this isn't a this week, but it's a pay attention that Pat Bryant might be coming for that job.

00:26:53

The Indianapolis Colts, the number one seed in the AFC at five and one, take on the four and two Los Angeles Chargers. Chargers, one and a half point favorites at home. Over under 48 and a half, you like that.

00:27:07

Yeah, this is a fun game.

00:27:08

It does seem like it. It is pretty rare for a best record in the NFL and number one seed to be an underdog at all, but going to a 4-2 Chargers team.

00:27:19

Certainly in week seven. Yeah, I mean, week seven, you're established. The Colts are a good team, and they are underdogs here.

00:27:26

Yeah, their offense has been a machine, number one in yards per play, number one in expected points per play. It's predicated on the best running back in the game right now. And Jonathan Taylor, the play action. Alex pierce, I think, has an opportunity this week. He would be my sneaky play because Adani Mitchell is not going to get work. I believe Ashton Doolin is hurt.

00:27:47

Is he?

00:27:47

And I believe Josh Downs is going to miss. And so you've got Michael Pitman, and then you've got Alec pierce in a game that projects to have quite a bit of scoring. To me, that is a spot start situation. Play He played 81% of snaps last week, and that was with Josh Downs active.

00:28:04

Yeah. Alex pierce, he'll be a weekly. Every once in a while, you're like, Hey, do I need to throw someone in? Just hope and pray.

00:28:13

Yeah. To me, this is one of those weeks that might work out. The chargers are a good defense against the pass, but with Alex pierce, it can be a couple of plays.

00:28:22

Right.

00:28:23

We talked about the chargers pass-heavy offense right now, ninth in offensive plays per game, third in pass rate, which basically continues what they were doing last year over the back half.

00:28:33

But the questions, I think, are fair. With Cuge back or expected to be back, how do you feel then about Lad McConkey? He got it done in the absence of Cuge.

00:28:49

I'm fine with Lad McConkey. I mean, even with Cuge, he had games of nine targets, seven targets. You didn't get a countdown. You were a little disappointed. We talked about this during the first month of the season when Keenan Allen looked Oh, Keenan is making Lad unplayable. It's really both of those guys are going to get seven or eight targets here and there. And when they don't get the touch down, you're going to be a little disappointed. But when they get the touch down, you're going to be happy you played them. So these guys, I think all of them, especially because Quentin Johnson is just coming back from an injury, all three of these wide receivers are guys you can play, but you should look at your roster and see if you've got better options. The nice thing about playing them in this game, high over under, no weather problem. Problems, two good quarterbacks, you could be in a shootout. And so when I'm looking at guys in the same tier, I'll tie break two wide receivers like this. So that's where I think Ladd should be in probably most lineups.

00:29:43

We have him at 17 on the week, Keenan at 22 on the week.

00:29:46

We got to move him down. That's too high. For Lad? Yeah. Or no, Keenan Allen.

00:29:52

Yeah. I would much rather play Lad over Keenan this week. Indianapolis defense, they're allowing the third-highest schedule adjusted as he points to slot wide receivers. So Lad could cook. Lad could keep cooking.

00:30:06

Keep cooking. Tyler Warren is a smash player. Aarande Gadsen had eight targets last week, so he is also getting involved in the target pie, at least with Quentin Johnston.

00:30:16

Yeah, that was, I think, more of a product of the huge injury. It's a desperate play. I think there's probably better desperation plays on the waiver wire. And then are we Vidal?

00:30:32

Let's talk Luscious Locks, okay? Vidal Sasun? Vidal Sasun, Camina Vidal, running back breakout last week. Let's say, I'm going to give you some names. We'll see, do you start them over that player?

00:30:44

Okay.

00:30:44

Do you Can we start? Vidal over Jordan Mason against the Philadelphia Equals.

00:30:51

I would not.

00:30:52

Probably not.

00:30:53

Travis Etienne against the Rams. Tough rushing defense.

00:30:57

I'm okay with that. Man, those London games can be stinkers. I'm okay with that.

00:31:03

Alvin Kamara at Chicago.

00:31:06

Matchup is good.

00:31:09

I mean, the Colts run defense is pretty good. Yeah.

00:31:13

Okay, here's a follow-up. Okay. Kenneth Walker.

00:31:17

Yeah, I'll play Vidal over Walker.

00:31:19

Yeah, I get it.

00:31:22

Will their head coach.

00:31:24

Although, McDonald, head coach McDonald of Seattle, He said, We got to figure out how to get the run game going. We're all trying to figure out why the worst graded runner who has one of the highest stuff rates and terrible yards per carry, who's just getting so many carries, we're trying to figure out why we can't get the run game going.

00:31:46

The whole world of Seattle's running game is pretty entertaining to me because you guys were the Charbonnay Bros in the draft. In the draft, yeah. In the draft. Any moons.

00:31:57

Yes. Thank you, Kyle. League's highest rate of runs for zero or negative yards, 32% belongs to Zack Charbonnet.

00:32:05

I just mean, I feel like if there was a different scenario, you'd be rooting for him to get better as opposed to the change to happen.

00:32:12

Of course. If Walker was injured, we'd be like, Come on, Charms, let's get it done. But Walker's there, and so it's like, Hey, Sharms, sit down.

00:32:19

Walker has his problem.

00:32:21

I'm not saying Kenneth Walker is perfect by any means, but when the other guy is at that, 32% of his carries go for zero or negative yards, and he doesn't have the upside on a per touch basis that Kenneth Walker is. That's what I'm saying. It's weird.

00:32:37

The weirdest part is that Walker has his issues, but the issues with Walker have always been how often he takes zero yards or negative plays. That is Kenneth Walker's big problem is he takes bad plays, but it's like the other guy is doing that, too. Yeah.

00:32:52

So they gave him 35% of the snaps last week and then came back and said they need to get the run game going? They're in control of all of it.

00:32:59

Yeah. No, it was very much the Andy Reid, Why didn't Jamal Charles touch the ball more? I don't know. We got to figure out how to get more touches.

00:33:08

You call the plays.

00:33:09

It's complicated. I don't know what's going on in Seattle. I don't know if it's going to get better for Walker. It's infuriating.

00:33:17

Daniel Jones, playable in this one?

00:33:19

Oh, for sure.

00:33:20

Daniel Jones, Bone, Knicks.

00:33:22

I would go Daniel Jones. I want this game.

00:33:25

Okay. You want pieces of it?

00:33:26

Yeah, I do, too. Justin Herbert is my start of the week. The bounce back, I think it's coming, and I think this game could hit the over for sure. I hope we get something like the Thursday night game.

00:33:37

Oh, man. That game was so fun.

00:33:39

Are these quarterbacks too young to give us that great performance? Was that seven passing touch downs?

00:33:45

Yeah. That's crazy.

00:33:46

Bizarre.

00:33:47

Pretty nice. Washington, three and three. We've talked about them this morning with the injuries. They take on a two, three, and one Dallas team. Seems like a really important game for both teams.

00:33:57

Which we did just get a bit of news here that Trayvon Diggs suffered an accident at home last night and is in concussion protocol. So just another guy missing from the Dallas deal.

00:34:10

The concussion is happening not in the game. That's the third one.

00:34:16

What was the... Sorry, we had the Colts. Downs? Oh, yeah.

00:34:19

Then you had the Colts.

00:34:21

The Colts before the game.

00:34:23

Ward, and then now you got this one.

00:34:25

Stay safe out there.

00:34:26

By the way, we did get an update also that DeAndre Smith's groin injury did not happen in practice. I don't know if that's at home, too. I don't know.

00:34:34

We will not speculate. I don't know.

00:34:36

We will not speculate. I don't know. Be careful.

00:34:38

Commanders, one and a half point road favorites over under, unbelievably, 54. 5. Rounded up. What? I mean, that is a wild- That's an insanely high line. Well, the Cowboys offense has been amazing, and they get CeeDee Lamb back. And the Cowboys defense has been horrific. And Jaden Daniels is going to get hit.

00:35:02

He's going to be awesome for us.

00:35:03

Yeah. No, it's been really good for fantasy. This is why I want to find a spot start on the Washington wide receiver core. Like, literally, just think about this. They're projected for 28 points. Let's be conservative. Jaden throws for 220. Okay. Where does it go? Where does it go? No, Debo. If Debo doesn't play, if there's no McClore and no Debo, you're looking Luke McCaffrey, Jalen Lane, Chris Moore. That is your wide receiver room.

00:35:35

Social media do not clip this.

00:35:39

Yeah, Zackerts is good for 16 of them.

00:35:41

It's Zackerts.

00:35:43

Oh, you're getting clipped.

00:35:44

No, I said he can't.

00:35:46

He doesn't listen to us. He's flying like a Falcon.

00:35:51

I can't believe you have him.

00:35:55

Because I was just going to say, I have George Kittle, and All reports as of right now are George Kittle is good. He's going to play. He took off the appropriate amount of time, and he's going to go. But things happen. So I had needed a backup plan, and Zackert This is currently my backup plan. Well, check this out.

00:36:17

I was just curious with that line of 54. 5. The total points in Cowboys games over the last five weeks, 77, 45, so you would have hit the under there, 80, 59, 57. Oh, give me Cowboys games.

00:36:35

Yeah. And so give Zackers 50 yards. I still think you take a shot with one of these other wide receivers.

00:36:42

Just who?

00:36:45

Yeah. I mean, it's a roulette.

00:36:47

Luc McAfee was one target. It was a broken point.

00:36:49

I think it's Chris Moore.

00:36:50

Probably Chris Moore.

00:36:51

Chris Moore had 68% of the snaps last week, five targets, and a shutdown. He's a vet.

00:36:58

I mean, are you sitting Is Jaden Daniels down knowing that McLaren and Devo are gone? I don't think so.

00:37:02

No, because he runs the ball and the defense won't be able to stop him. He's going to get... I mean, your point is accurate. It's just identifying. He will get yardage. It's really hard to predict when you don't know these guys very well. But I would put my chips on Chris Moore out of the wide receiver group. I'm happy to start Zack Hertz. And honestly, this should be a huge bounceback game for...

00:37:27

If it isn't, you should be worried.

00:37:29

Yeah.

00:37:30

Because if it isn't and he is not effective enough, he will rotate other people back here.

00:37:36

He will be.

00:37:38

Yeah, he's going to dominate this week.

00:37:41

Play Dak, play Jaden, play Javante, play Bill. Do you play Pickens, play Ferguson?

00:37:48

Do we have- Are you concerned about Ferguson? Do we have concerns about Jake Ferguson? Not really. I mean, 29% targets per route run, outrageously productive. He's been awesome. I mean, he's got to be a top three fantasy tight-end, right? Yeah, he's at- He's the number one guy right now.

00:38:06

Are you concerned about it? I mean, the touch downs have been a little overabundant the last three weeks, but he was still tight in four and tight in four in the two their CeeDee Lamb last week.

00:38:17

I guess we will say, Don't hear what I'm not saying. I'm playing Jake Ferguson.

00:38:21

Yes, you got to.

00:38:22

But with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, then the pie will shrink for Ferguson.

00:38:30

Okay. I think we've broken that one down. Anybody else want to talk about? Nope. Javante's RBC 6 on the ear.

00:38:36

It was a duck.

00:38:38

Dak and Javante, you're starting for sure. Who would you start between Jack and Jaden Daniels?

00:38:44

I'd play Jack. I'd play Dak. Oh, yeah, I'd play Dak. I mean, Jaden, it was nice. Three touch downs last week. Still doesn't have his weapons. I mean, Jaden is a trade-four target still. If he doesn't have a huge week this week, he's a trade-four target because McLaren will be back. That's his number one. I mean, what? 12 touch downs, 13 touch downs last year? Yeah. He hasn't played.

00:39:03

Dak playing at an MVP level with two...

00:39:07

Jason is so excited. I do. I can't. Jason is so excited. He didn't even want defensive points this week. He doesn't need them.

00:39:13

No, I wanted negative. Josh, I'm spotting you that point because I got that Dak CD steak. Oh, yeah. Also, Jake Ferguson in the first two games. Remember, Dack was there and Pickens were there. They were both healthy and active. Or Seedy, you mean? Yeah, Seedy and Pickens were both in those games. He had a ton of work. He was on pace through those two games for 153 targets, 119 receptions, 858 yards.

00:39:39

Yeah, week one, not great. Five for 23. Week two was 12 targets.

00:39:43

He still had six targets That was week one, though.

00:39:45

No, that was week three.

00:39:46

Okay, good. All right. Green Bay, 3, 1, and 1, taking on the Cardinals, 2, and 4.

00:39:54

I hate them.

00:39:55

I don't like them. I like them more with Jacobi, and I don't think Jacobi is better Kyler by any stretch. I just like them more.

00:40:02

You like a quarterback that can stand in the pocket, get ready to take a hit, and deliver the ball downfield because that's the job of an NFL quarterback.

00:40:09

Yeah, we went back and we did a... I mean, maybe this is helpful for people. This is not just spite or anger, disappointment with our home team.

00:40:14

Well, a little bit.

00:40:15

That's in there, but that's not what I'm speaking from in this moment. It was the furnace. I went and watched Kyler Murray film from years ago. We started seven or no. Arizona did, 2022 or something. It It's a slightly different Kyler Murray right now. The biggest problem for Kyler, and this is what the film shows, is that he's a very, very top-tier quarterback without pressure, a thrower of the ball. He can make all the throws. But when there's pressure, he has turned into a... I'm not good. Yes. He turns into a player that doesn't want to take a hit. And there was a good film study video I was watching that showed, and we know this, Matthew Stafford, he stands in there and he gets destroyed frequently.

00:41:03

His body has paid the price.

00:41:05

And Kyler, if he thinks he's going to get hit, he will not stand in and make the throw. So he can make the isolated amazing running play. If you give him pocket time, he can make... I mean, like he got out of the pocket and through the deep ball to Marvin Harrison. He's just an annoying player at this point.

00:41:18

And he drops his eyes when he scrambles. He's worried about being hit so hard.

00:41:23

He's not looking for that wide open guy.

00:41:24

So hard that you watch Jaden Daniels, and when he's running around there, or you watch Lamar, I mean, They never look at the ground. They're taking in peripheral vision on opponents, and they are watching their wide receivers as they run away from defenders. Kyler is looking at his feet while he runs.

00:41:41

Yeah, I don't know if it's a product of going through the injury that he went through or what, but I think he's always been a little soft. Green Bay, 3, 1, and 1. Arizona, 2, and 4. Green Bay, seven-point road favorites against Arizona over under 44. 5. More than likely, it'll be Jacobi Brouset, who is 27 of 44 for 3, 20, and 2 last week. We have a lot to talk about in this game. I'm going to start all on the Cardinal side because first, Amari D. Mercado has been ruled out of this game. Correct.

00:42:11

That just happened.

00:42:11

Bam Knight practiced in full on Thursday, and Michael Carter. Those two, Bam Knight, Michael Carter. For the first time, I think I prefer Bam Knight.

00:42:22

That's fine.

00:42:23

In terms of, I think he'll get more opportunities. They're both nasty. It's not great. Packer's defense is good. But if I had to guess who would fall into the end zone, it would be Bam Knight.

00:42:33

I prefer Michael Carter. The reason is because I don't think this game is going to go well for the Cardinals. The packers have a good run defense. So far on the season, they're top three in schedule adjusted fantasy points. I think that if I look at who's going to be the pass catching back- That's fine, yeah. That seems to be Michael Carter. But honestly, I don't believe either one is a very good play.

00:42:56

The Cardinals wide receiver room is destroyed as well. Marvin Harrison, we're waiting on- He remains in concussion protocol. Yeah, Gannon said he's progressing. He's in the protocol. I think that there's a decent chance he's back out there at this point.

00:43:09

Last I saw Thursday practice, he was still in, what is it? Like the orange?

00:43:13

He's in a yellow.

00:43:14

Yeah, the yellow jersey. Yeah, the yellow jersey. You have to.

00:43:15

It's required. No, I know. But if he doesn't get a full practice today, it's got to be a full participation. I'd be surprised if that happens, but we'll see.

00:43:25

We don't know. But I think based on the way that they're talking with the progressing through the protocol, I'm more encouraged than I would have been on some other players.

00:43:35

If he plays, you play him as you would.

00:43:38

Zay Jones is going to miss. He had a lot of work last week for Arizona, or most likely going to miss. He hasn't practiced. Then You're like, If Harrison and Zay Jones were out, and there's a lot of wide receivers in this category this week, Michael Wilson is a player you could put in there.

00:43:53

Disgusting.

00:43:54

Again, Jacobi through for 3-20. If you take Harrison and Zay Jones out of the lineup, Trey McBride is going to eat, but it's going to be- I'd rather play Chris Moore than Michael Wilson. You're saying in the other game?

00:44:08

Yeah. If you're looking for that level of someone's got to get the ball- Alec pierce?

00:44:13

Alec pierce.

00:44:14

Yeah, I would prefer that game. I prefer that game script and those quarterbacks.

00:44:18

Yep, there you go.

00:44:19

So the Cardinals- Trey McBride is who I want.

00:44:21

The Cardinals are beat up and they are going to lose. Josh Jacobs, he's going to be great. You play him. Matthew Golden, the target share has rising, and he actually was pretty productive. His first top 20 fantasy finish last week with 86 yards receiving a career high. Romeo Dobbs, five for 55. If I had them both, I'd play Golden. I'm still Dobbs. Okay, that's fine. Tucker Kraft. What's the vibe on Tucker Kraft right now? He had the breakout week, then he was banged up, played through it. Last This week had a breakdown, but just two targets. Where are you with Tucker Kraft?

00:45:04

Still playing him as a top five guy.

00:45:06

And you like Jordan Love this week against the Cardinals?

00:45:09

Oh, yeah.

00:45:11

Yeah, I mean- Cardinals defense is not bad.

00:45:13

The Cardinals defense is not bad. They're also getting healthy.

00:45:15

Here.

00:45:15

Yeah. I could see this turning into... Because the Cardinals are so beat up, I do think this could... If the Cardinals are going to be in this game, it's going to be because of their defense, not their offense, in which case it's going to be a low-scoring game, not a lot of fantasy goodness. If the Cardinals If the players don't show up-It's going to be Josh Jacobs. It's going to be Josh Jacobs. Exactly. So I worry a little bit about the packers' passing game if it's not early.

00:45:37

Will Johnson, the number one rated corner in football. He'll be matched up against one of these guys, Dobbs or Golden, and then Max Melton coming back for the Cardinals as well.

00:45:46

And he'll leave with injury again. Don't worry about it.

00:45:49

Who?

00:45:50

Melton. I feel like he's one of those guys just every week. I'm like, Oh, there goes Melton.

00:45:54

Look at his name. You know what I mean?

00:45:57

Too soft? But it's the butter man.

00:45:58

Well, he's too soft.

00:46:00

If Melton played Melton, that's family.

00:46:03

Yeah.

00:46:04

All right, we're taking a break. We'll talk some Sunday Night Football.

00:46:15

Little breaking news.

00:46:16

Okay.

00:46:17

I'm going to hit it.

00:46:18

You said it. It was such a calm voice.

00:46:20

Breaking news.

00:46:21

Because it doesn't need the button.

00:46:23

This needs the button because I think this is important. This is one of the big story lines going on. Chuba Hubbard off the injury report, will play.

00:46:31

You and your Chuba Hubbard apologist.

00:46:33

Get out of here. Get out of the way. Rico's here. I agree. Rico has been awesome, but this impacts. I want to know what the Panthers do. I want to see is it Rico 70-30? Is it 50-50?

00:46:47

How smart is the coaching staff?

00:46:50

I think this is an above-average, not top coaching staff.

00:46:57

Okay. I don't think that answered my question. But if they're smart, it will be Rico.

00:47:01

So perspective, I know Rico has dead the breakout games. It was also against Dallas and Miami. Yeah, I know. Before he was hurt, Chuba was 4. 1 a carry, Rico was 3 a carry on all the touches of the year.

00:47:14

Because of the Rico play style of, get going, get going.

00:47:19

It's not like he was doing all of his damage in the second half. Rico was awesome from touch one in those two games.

00:47:25

The Panthers have internally made a decision on who will start at running back and get the majority carries, but did not tell us.

00:47:31

Oh, man. Oh, come on.

00:47:35

Wait, can we... I'm not telling. That is a little bit interesting in the fact that you said, and get majority of carries. He could have come out and said, these guys are going to split. I love both of them. Now it sounds a little bit more rico-y.

00:47:48

Yeah, I take that as rico-y.

00:47:50

Oh, man. Just competitive advantage that they just secured by not saying it.

00:47:58

But they didn't really because they said, We're going to give them most of the work. So as soon as the first play is over- All right, so you called them an above average, not great coaching staff.

00:48:06

I think it's rico because I think you're recovering from a calf injury. Yes, I agree. This week in particular, I think it's more rico when you play them. But we're talking Sunday night. Atlanta, three and two. San Francisco, four and two. The Vegas line here, Sanfran, minus one and a half. The over-under is 47 and a half. Can I be honest with you?

00:48:24

No.

00:48:25

Yeah, I would prefer you to. I want you to figure out... I want to take back my almost upset. I changed my mind. Okay. After work, I hesitated to say it. I could have just stuck in there. I don't know if you can get me a reverse. No, I think the show is not over. You can't get me a reverse almost upset? No, I already- You don't have that capability? I already bet it.

00:48:43

You can't take it back. No, he's taking it. He took it back. You can't take it back.

00:48:47

I need the drop.

00:48:48

Yeah, can you do the drop in reverse is what he's saying?

00:48:50

Can you do it in reverse for me? I don't want it to be informal.

00:48:55

Yeah. I can get that for you.

00:48:57

When you're playing chess, as long as you haven't taken your hand off the piece, the move is-Did I take my hand off the show?

00:49:03

We're still recording this show.

00:49:05

I changed my mind.

00:49:07

You don't like the Giants. I don't have to hate the Giants.

00:49:09

Because I think the Broncos are going to beat the crap out of the Giants.

00:49:12

I changed my mind. Now, I feel bad that this is coming. Hopefully, you didn't go out and bet it in between now, but I got to just...

00:49:18

I'm going to take it back. There's only one man that did.

00:49:21

Yeah, our producer. I'm changing my mind on that.

00:49:25

He's a loyal soldier for the almost upset. He's in immediately.

00:49:30

So, yeah, you got that dropped for me. You just hit it. Whenever you get it, you hit it, okay? All right.

00:49:36

To make it- Now, what caused you to think about that? Was it this game? Yeah. Because-yeah. Okay. Andy's almost upset of the week.

00:49:49

Yeah, it was, Jason. Why did you have to poke and prod there?

00:49:54

You knew it.

00:49:55

That's exactly right. I was doubting it when we were breaking down the Bronco game. I changed my mind on it a little bit, looking at the numbers. And then we got here, and I was like, Man, this is the one I actually believe in. So I'm going to go with the Falcons on this one, which would basically be an outright win because they're San Francisco minus one and a half. Over-unders 47 and a half in this one. Both teams fighting for positioning. The 49ers, we know how nice the schedule has been. They've done so much with so many injuries. Now you got Bosa out for the year. You got Mac Jones getting They did lose last week. Still competitive. There you go. And the Falcon's so impressive on Monday Night Football.

00:50:37

This game is awesome. It's a primetime island. We all get to enjoy it. One game. No distractions. Bijon, Christian McCaffery.

00:50:49

Oh, man. Your two running backs.

00:50:52

Oh, well, I wasn't talking about it for that. But fantasy football, this is elite. The The two of the superstar running backs who swing matchups every single week on Sunday night. This is fabulous.

00:51:06

Squaring all. Both of them on your team. B. John Robinson, number one in points per game. Christian McCaffery, number two in points per game.

00:51:14

And The Return of George Kittle.

00:51:19

Oh, yeah.

00:51:20

Well, you got to be looking forward to this game more than anything on the year.

00:51:23

Dude, I'm not even listening to what you guys are saying.

00:51:25

We really need Michael Pinnish to keep playing the way he did at home on Monday night when he goes San Francisco here because that was pretty impressive.

00:51:34

Is there any fear of a letdown? And you know what it was?

00:51:35

He threw it to his best player of the bunch.

00:51:39

He should. He should keep doing that. But Darnell Mooney, limited on Wednesday and Thursday. We'll see if he plays. The games where Mooney is not there, that's where Drake London gets the Jamar Chase from last night treatment, where he's just like... I mean, literally no other wide receiver has caught a pass in that game against the Bills.

00:52:00

He's on target for 180.

00:52:01

Mouny changes that for Drake London. It's, of course, not a bench or anything crazy with Drake London. It's just a understanding that when they're both active, it hasn't been as great.

00:52:16

All right. We know that the Falcons defense has been legit this year. Number five against quarterbacks, two against runningbacks, six against wideouts, number one against the returning tight-end George Kittle. Don't care. And who's Jason start of the week. So their defense has really been what I think will travel well. Michael Pennex has been bad on the road, but I think this will be a fun game. Like you said, prime time. What, back to back prime time games for the Falcons?

00:52:43

Yeah.

00:52:44

That's pretty Cool. But from a start-sit perspective, you're not worried about B. John and McCafree and Drake London. But you are asking yourself, Can I start a wide receiver for the 49ers?

00:52:56

Yeah. Like, Kendrick Bourne, wide receiver, seven, and back-to-back weeks, 20 targets, 100 yards over both of those games. I saw there was a blurb that if Bourne hits 100 yards here, it will be the first three-game stretch of a wide receiver hitting 100 yards in like 30 years.

00:53:15

For the- That's the Paners?

00:53:16

For the 49ers. Oh, for the 49ers. Yeah.

00:53:18

No, not in history, but for the 49ers.

00:53:22

Since Jerry Rice.

00:53:23

Basically, yeah, Rice.

00:53:24

Well, that's wild. I'm surprised TL never did that. What do you do then? Are you playing Kendrick Borne You're staying in the- It was a special morning.

00:53:35

Thank you. So sad.

00:53:39

Thank you.

00:53:40

Sorry, Giants fans. I'm sorry.

00:53:44

Well, Now it's official.

00:53:45

Now we have a technicality problem.

00:53:47

Right, because you did the last- Did you just undo this one?

00:53:51

No. I told him, remember, I asked for the-Now you think I did? I don't know.

00:53:56

I mean, that was the last one you played.

00:53:57

That means you'd have to hit that again and have to hit the drop again.

00:54:00

If he hits that again, we have someone to be able to...

00:54:03

Oh, come on.

00:54:05

Here was the special morse name. Okay, now you have none.

00:54:13

So now I have no almost upsets. Correct.

00:54:16

Rules are rules.

00:54:17

Okay, so now, formally-Well, you don't have one.

00:54:21

Oh, what?

00:54:23

Andy's almost upset of the lead. I didn't see this coming. Oh, man.

00:54:30

Wow. This game?

00:54:32

I might want to take this one back. No, I'm just kidding. I'm excited for this one as well. But if you're shooting your shot, is it born?

00:54:41

Yeah, it has to be.

00:54:43

Is he a mustard to you?

00:54:45

Who's the quarterback?

00:54:46

It's going to be Mac.

00:54:48

Is that for sure?

00:54:49

I think it's most likely because of the-That's what I've been reading.

00:54:52

It sounds like it's Mac.

00:54:53

It weirdly makes me feel a little bit more confident in Bourn because obviously, that's who's been in sync with.

00:55:00

It's the George Kittle factor. Mac Jones loves to find the one guy. Apparently, Mac Jones, he finds his one wide receiver or pass catching target, and he goes to them. If George Kittle comes in and he's like, Oh, that guy's really, really good, it may be then Boren is just a disappointment. But I think based off of what has happened, you still play him if you need to. It's like a flex decision.

00:55:29

Okay. Tampa Bay, five and one, Detroit, four and two. Monday Night Double Header, Mike, your favorite.

00:55:35

Well, hey, this one's an attack on East Coast ads.

00:55:40

Because it's the back-to-back?

00:55:41

Yeah, and I feel for him.

00:55:42

I like it.

00:55:44

I mean, I like it for me as a West Coast dad. Yeah.

00:55:46

Yeah. Tampa Bay, five and one.

00:55:48

My Brethren over there.

00:55:50

They're asleep. They can't...

00:55:51

What's the second game? Houston, Seattle? You're fine. Just go to sleep.

00:55:56

Tampa Bay, Detroit. Detroit's four and two. They have the Highest implied point total of the entire week. The game has a 52 and a half point over under. Delightful. Detroit minus 6. Their implied point total is 29. 3. And yeah, this might not be the last time we see them play each other this year.

00:56:15

Yeah, for sure. I mean, these two teams are awesome. Again, this is another division leader, conference leader, who is not favored in the game. That's pretty crazy. But this is I want this game even more than the Cowboys game. Not like I'm more excited for it because I got the CD deck stack. But Baker gets it done, man. And this is in a dome. The Detroit Lions are going to put up points. They're going to throw the ball a lot. There's going to be so much fantasy to put in this game. I can't fathom this one letting us down.

00:56:47

Baker and Josh Allen are tied for the second shortest odds to win the MVP. Mahomes is number one right now. Those three are the only ones that are even in contention right now. All right, let's start on Tampa Bay side. You talked about it. Baker has been getting it done. We saw Tez Johnson get 72% of snaps last week after, and that's Abuka went down, I think mid-game, basically, with 40-something% of the snaps. He caught a big breakdown. Cameron Johnson caught a big countdown. Mike Evans has been limited, might return, but Abuka should miss, Godwin should miss. Sheppard is there. Sort it out for the people out there that need... I mean, again, this is what I'm saying. There are so many games where you're filtering down to which is the right backup wide receiver to play in a game with a quarterback I like.

00:57:36

It's tough. Mike Evans is in your lineup. I think you had- If he plays, you'd play him. He's going to be the number one target here and should be a great fantasy play. You've got Brian Branch suspended for this one. Their safety for the Lions.

00:57:50

31st against wide receiver right now, and 26th against quarterback.

00:57:53

I think it's great. Then you go, Okay, what's the next guy? In the WaverWire show, I had been on the Tez Johnson side because I want that deep shot. I want that down the field target. That seemed like that was Tez Johnson. But now with Mike Evans ready to play, I wonder if the number two guy- It's Sheppard. See, I was going to go Cameron Johnson. It's hard to figure this one out.

00:58:17

It will be Mike Evans and Sterling Sheppard on the field, I believe.

00:58:20

Oh, it will definitely... Yes, on the field for sure. Snaps, yes, but I don't get fantasy points for snaps. Sheppard, I'm just not sure.

00:58:27

It is step one.

00:58:28

It is step one. I would agree with that.

00:58:29

Last Last week, Sheppard played 49% of snaps. Taz Johnson played 72% of snaps. Yeah. From a snap perspective, you're saying you think that changes?

00:58:38

With Evan Speck?

00:58:39

I'm just saying when they're in too wide, it will not be Taz Johnson. It'll be Sterling Sheppard and Mike Evans. It could be wrong, but that's how I'm-I mean, why wasn't Sheppard out there more last week then? I don't have an answer.

00:58:53

Yeah, his snap counts have gone down. I think they've become more comfortable. If you want the counterpoint, in my opinion, I think they've become more comfortable with these younger guys than the run-of-the-mill PPR. Sheppard is not in consideration for me because there's no explosiveness to Sterling Sheppard. He could catch 6 for 40. I mean, he can give you that game.

00:59:14

The counterpoint, I would say that is I would have to go back-Counterpoint a counterpoint.

00:59:18

I wish I could let you talk. I can't let you talk.

00:59:21

I'm sorry. A counter counterpoint?

00:59:23

Thank you.

00:59:24

I would have to go back and watch and see what truly happened because last week, per I'm looking at our site, Cameron Johnson, 49% of the snaps. Sheppard, 49%, Abuka, 53%. Yeah, before he went out. And Tess Johnson led with 72%. I'm saying no one... It was clearly a weird game of trying to figure out what we're doing with our wide receivers. And now that you're game planning, I would trust the veteran over-I'm going Tess.

00:59:54

That's my final vote.

00:59:55

I'll go Cam, and you can take Sheppard as the second guy, and we'll see who's But what it really means is you're probably not starting any of those guys. Yeah.

01:00:05

It's like the Nasty Boys we've been talking about feel like, pierce, I'd rather go Alec pierce than that.

01:00:12

What if you had a roster that was so good that you're playing Taz, and you're playing pierce, and you're playing Chris Moore? Okay. How good would that feel?

01:00:23

It would feel better this week than most weeks.

01:00:25

Okay, thank you. That's a good point. Rashaad White?

01:00:29

Oh, man, he's back on his BS. He's back on it.

01:00:33

On his BS?

01:00:33

Oh, yeah. Look at these numbers for Rashaad White.

01:00:36

The efficiency that we saw.

01:00:38

The starter, running back 7 and 11. Delightful. 14 for 41 on the ground, 4 for 30 through the air.

01:00:44

It's old-school Rashaad White.

01:00:45

17 for 65 on the ground.

01:00:48

But the cool thing about old-school Rashaad White is he was the running back 7 at the end of the year and the running back 24 at the end of last year.

01:00:54

If you're mad at the PPR scan that is Chris Alabe, this is I don't think this is a running back scam, but you just cast the check.

01:01:03

Jared Goff is Jason's start of the week at quarterback. Gibbs and Montgomery can both be played in this game. Let's just talk about, I mean, and obviously, Almonra. Jamieson-williams, 6 for 66 in a countdown. More volume last week. Had the score. Jamison Williams or Keenan?

01:01:21

Jamison Williams. This game has too many points, and it's difficult to run on the Bucaneers, and it's pretty easy to throw on them.

01:01:30

Until I- Chris Olave is traveling to Chicago. I'd play Olave. Over Jamison Williams?

01:01:34

I would play Jamison Williams because of the weather in Chicago.

01:01:38

Oh, that's a great point. Okay, I reversed that. I thought you were going to talk about Keenan more of, Until I see something from Keenan Allen, I'm not playing him. It's been horrifically bad the past three weeks.

01:01:52

Laporte has been the tight in for him back to back weeks. You can play him. And then Kate Otton could be the biggest beneficiary. In reality, you guys basically concluded you wouldn't play any of those three guys. If you had a choice, Kate Otton, he normally takes advantage of opportunities. I'm not expecting Mike Evans' first game back from a ham string on a season in which he was not doing standard Mike Evans stuff. He's slowing down a little bit, I think. I don't expect him to come back.

01:02:21

The targets were still there.

01:02:22

I don't expect him to come back and fully dominate. By the way, he needs 78 a game here on out to hit 1,000.

01:02:28

He can do it. I think he'll find a to do it. Just a couple of spike games here and there.

01:02:32

200 yards in week 18 when they're just trying to manufacture it.

01:02:37

And just something to at least bring to people's attention per David Montgomery. We had a report, Jason, you were sharing with me a report of the team and the coaching staff saying, We need to even the carries back up between Jamir Gibbs and David Montgomery. This is not a don't play Gibbs. It is just pay attention that perhaps Montgomery will be safer. He's been volatile, running back 36, 23, running back 2, running back 62. So maybe we get back to a level where we're cool with Montgomery.

01:03:13

I believe there's going to be 60 points scored in this game.

01:03:16

Houston's 2 and 3, the Seahawks 4 and 2. The game's in Seattle. Seattle minus 3, overrunners 41 and a half. I disagree with Mike. I think this is a great game. I think Houston, Seattle is a great game. If you had to choose between the two, I'd watch the first one. But Houston has been playing good football. The offense has looked a lot better. Seattle, it's been fun with Darnold, with JSN leading the NFL and receiving yards out wide this year, something people didn't see coming or didn't think that he could do, and he's completely dominating that. I'm excited about this. You get to watch Nico Collins on a Monday Night football game. We get to sort out, and Mike gets to be yelling at the TV about- That's the best part of it. About Charbonet and Ken Walker.

01:04:03

If you're East Coast and you go to sleep for this game, you don't have to do the rage.

01:04:08

Yeah, Mike will be raging. Oh, yeah. Because there's actually no way not to rage, because if Walker does great, you're raging at what the mistakes they've made. If he doesn't do great, you will continue to rage about what he could do.

01:04:21

Get your anger out.

01:04:22

The only scenario, I think, in which you can't rage is if Charbonnay dominates on the ground. I agree.

01:04:27

He will rage about how pissed he is that Charbonet did good.

01:04:30

Possibly.

01:04:31

No, I agree that that would be- Worst case scenario. Yeah, that's worst case scenario. Also, not possible.

01:04:40

Not possible?

01:04:41

No, it's not.

01:04:42

Oh, my gosh. This is my point. You guys love Charbonet, but Now he's set up as the antithesis of your Walker. Now you treat him like Ramondre or worse.

01:04:54

You hate Sharvenay. To be fair, that was three years ago. What do you mean? When we love Sharvenay.

01:04:59

When we love Sharvenay. Yeah.

01:05:00

You stopped loving him on his own merit, or did you stop loving him because of what he represented in Walker? No.

01:05:05

Those first few years watching him, I stopped loving it.

01:05:08

He earned it.

01:05:09

All right. I won't mention it again.

01:05:11

His chance of getting a touch down?

01:05:14

I thought you still secretly rooted for the guy that you liked. I guess you gave up.

01:05:19

If Ken Walker leaves town, then I'll root for Charbonney again. Charbonet, great chance of scoring a touch down.

01:05:25

If you had both of them, who do you play? I don't know. Yeah, I got two quiet friends suddenly.

01:05:34

Because it's impossible. It was the season low in offensive snaps for Ken Walker last week. Charbonet was also awful last week.

01:05:44

I I would play- Jacksonville is a great defense. I would play Kenneth Walker. Houston.

01:05:49

Oh, for last week?

01:05:50

Yeah. I would play Kenneth Walker simply because- You want to be able to sleep at night?

01:05:55

I'm almost always going to take the opportunity side over the explosive side. But Charbonney has been so inefficient that you're talking about a guy who, while he's getting this work, hasn't scored 12 fantasy points on the season. I don't feel like I'm sacrificing a great game, and that's including the games he's had, touch downs, whereas I could be sacrificing a blow-up game for Walker.

01:06:19

Then you're Marks over Chubb. Woody Marks over Chubb is the exact same argument.

01:06:24

I am Woody Marks over Chubb.

01:06:26

And that's a scary one, too. The running game in Houston is very scary because, like you said, nick Chubb is going to get more work. Woody Marks needs to get passing game work to succeed. So are they off your board in terms of starts?

01:06:43

No, not off.

01:06:44

Not Off the board. If you had to choose one, you'd both go Marks?

01:06:47

I would. The by-week bump, it's real. So I would be banking on the history that that has brought us.

01:06:55

So Mike doesn't want to watch the game, but his start of the week, C. J. Stroud is playing in it.

01:06:58

No, I'm watching the game. I'm just giving the dads on the East Coast permission. If you want to go to sleep for this, do it, man.

01:07:06

We'll catch you up the next day.

01:07:08

You probably slept through Thursday Night Football thinking that the old men were going to let us down.

01:07:13

And we caught them up today.

01:07:15

Other players in this game that you care about? Christian Kirk, Cooper Cup.

01:07:19

Kirk's a nasty boy. He's in the range of the Alec Pearson guys that we've been talking about.

01:07:26

Are we starting to at least... Is Jaden Higgins going to get more and more work in this offense at some point?

01:07:31

That's the hope after the bye week, that maybe they get him more involved. I'm not playing any of the other... I'm not playing Christian Kirk or Higgins here. Just keeping an eye on him.

01:07:39

Injury updates. What about the... Sorry, let me ask one more question. Aj Barner for Seattle, tight in.

01:07:45

I'm not personally doing it. The Texans have a good defense. He's been very good so far this season. He's had some touch downs, tight in 10 on the season. This is a guy that we talked about, like you could be a pivot if you've got an injured tight in. He's late in the week, an emergency option. But I think there's better. I think most people have a tight-in. They would start over a burner.

01:08:06

Debo Samuel said that, We'll just have to see when asked about playing Sunday. The heel is aggravating for sure. Josh Downs won't play in week seven. David Najoku rolled out for week seven as well. We got another segment.

01:08:23

Fantasy Face-off, presented by Prizepicks.

01:08:30

Well, our hot streak as a group really ended last week. It did. We had been on fire, I think 11 of 12 pics the week before. It didn't go well.

01:08:40

No.

01:08:40

I thought for a second, I had some hope yesterday to not spin the wheel of shame because Mike got... How many correct? One. How many did I get correct? One.

01:08:48

But how many did you get wrong? Three. Then I got two wrong.

01:08:52

Yeah, because you got the.

01:08:54

Because I got the reboot. Shout out to Pricepicks.

01:08:57

Yeah, they took care of you.

01:08:58

That's a cool thing that Pricepicks does.

01:09:00

Yeah, you don't want to lose because of that.

01:09:03

Correct. You just want to lose because they, Don't play Kenneth Walker, idiots.

01:09:09

Maybe stop betting on him, dummy. No, I will always- Stop leaning on Kenneth Walker to win stuff.

01:09:15

No.

01:09:16

That's your problem.

01:09:18

I'm in.

01:09:19

You're not.

01:09:19

No. Kenneth Walker is very talented.

01:09:25

Wheel of shame.

01:09:33

All right. It's me, I guess. I'll embrace it. Go ahead and spin it.

01:09:38

What a loser. Oh, man.

01:09:41

What do we got here? The wheel is Iceman, Looney Toon.

01:09:45

Jerry Jones. Oh, no. Wiener. He's not a wiener, but he is a wiener. Oh, look at that. Look at this. He's trying to figure it out. Getting it on. Stick that I'm going to have a wiener up.

01:10:01

He's the glizzy king.

01:10:03

Looking good, Andy. Looking real good.

01:10:07

That's way funnier than I thought it would be.

01:10:09

We should have brought some mustard to just continue that line down the face.

01:10:13

I'm the wiener of the week. I leaned on Ramondre Stevenson. I told you I... Okay, that's good. I told you I deserved it.

01:10:20

What a winner.

01:10:22

Well, we get to reveal this week's picks starting at the quarterback position. What do you guys have?

01:10:28

Well, I love my projection. It came a little bit earlier in the week. Tua in that weather game. I have his projection- You cheat code of this thing. 216 and a half passing yards. I'm taking less than that.

01:10:42

If you got a price pick, you will not find that right now.

01:10:45

Not anymore. Jason got in early. I got in before the weather was caught up.

01:10:49

My quarterback's my Green Goblin, so I just have Jalen Hertz more than 0. 5 passing touch downs.

01:10:55

He should be able to do that. I'm going with a fun one. I'm going with Cameron Ward. Longest completion, 32 and a half yards. I am taking the less.

01:11:05

Okay. Maybe no Ridley.

01:11:07

And just the fact that he would have missed that. I think it's five of six weeks.

01:11:12

Not against the Cardinals.

01:11:13

Yeah, There is that.

01:11:18

It's you, Jay. It is?

01:11:19

Yeah.

01:11:20

You went first for quarterback, so we keep that order going.

01:11:23

I'm the one that looks like the hot dog, though. Yeah, you're the wiener. I was the winner. I'm going to go with Zack Charbonnet.

01:11:30

You're the winner with how many, by the way?

01:11:31

Zack Charbonnet with half of them.

01:11:35

Zack Charbonnet. Jason, have some dignity.

01:11:37

Oh, I've got dignity. You're going to love this one, Mike. It's the longest rush of 11 and a half yards. Not going to happen.

01:11:46

No way.

01:11:47

You have done that before. I have. I'm going back to the well here.

01:11:50

No way, no how.

01:11:51

No way, no how. So a long Charbonnet run hurts in so many ways. Correct.

01:11:54

But good news, when he doesn't, I will feel happy. I'm taking less than 11 and a half on his longest rushing attempt.

01:12:01

I actually have a fun one, too, at the running back position. I've been impressed with Jacksonville's run defense and their defense in general. Kyron Williams going up against Jacksonville. I'm taking less than 20. 5 rushing yards on his first five attempts.

01:12:15

Well, that's a fun one.

01:12:16

You're going to stuff them early.

01:12:17

We'll be watching the London game eagerly.

01:12:20

I'm the reception man from here on out, but I also have Kyron Williams. Oh, really? Two and a half receptions. No pouca?

01:12:28

Oh, you're going.

01:12:29

I'm going to take the more. Yep.

01:12:30

No, that makes sense. All right.

01:12:32

Wide receiver here. This is my green goblin, Lad McConkey with huge getting back, and I think a high over under in that game that I want. He's just got to have more than three and a half receptions. That feels pretty easy.

01:12:46

All right. I am going to go with... I'm going to go back to that Jacksonville, LA game, and I'm going to take Brian Thomas. I've been on the Trade for Brian Thomas train all year long. They're going to get it going. They're figuring things out in this offense.

01:12:58

It seemed like it was going last week.

01:12:59

Yeah. I know it absolutely was. I'm going to stay with that. I'm going to go more than 66 and a half receiving yards.

01:13:05

I like that one. I'm going to stick with the affirmation, JSN, this dude, he's that dude.

01:13:10

Yeah, he is.

01:13:12

It's at six and a half receptions. Easy peasy. I'm going more.

01:13:16

Okay. And then we've got tight in, Jason.

01:13:18

Mr. 50% target share.

01:13:19

Let's go. Yeah, I almost took that exact same one. Did you? Yeah, I was looking at that and it felt delicious. My tight end, I'm going with a lesser known. You're not starting Tommy Trimble out there in fantasy rosters. Jotavian Sanders is back, but he has, even in the games with Jotavian Sanders, he's involved. He gets plenty of yards. This is a- Tommy Trimble. Tommy Trimble. I mean, this is a great matchup for tight ends, and his projection is sitting there at 15 and a half yards. Okay. He just got to get like... He could do that on one, maybe two receptions. So I'm taking more than that.

01:13:55

How many times has he been on?

01:13:57

Almost ever. I think it's only one time this season he has. Really? Yeah, maybe two. Trimble? Yeah.

01:14:01

All right. My Green Goblin this week, I'll just lean in. My favorite player of all time, Miawson Taylor, three and a half receptions. Okay. There's nobody there. I'm going with the more.

01:14:14

I'm He's making Darren Waller to go less than 38 and a half receiving yards in the weather game.

01:14:19

Yeah.

01:14:20

He might score because he scores every week.

01:14:22

It'll be just a yards after catch.

01:14:25

What's the projection?

01:14:26

How many yards? 38 and a half.

01:14:32

I get it, but that would be terrifying. Terrifyingly fun to watch.

01:14:37

Yeah, we'll see. That was fantasy Face Off presented by Prizepicks. Basketball season is here, so check out more max discounts on the app. Man, basketball season's here. Oh, dude. Let's go. Like Steph Curry only needing half a point to win on October 21st. Use the code-I will take the more. Footballers to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. All right, that's it. We're wrapping. This show is over. Sunday Live. Week 7 begins. Sunday Live.

01:15:05

With the weatherman.

01:15:06

I'll see you all then.

01:15:07

I'll be a meteorologist on Sunday. That'll be delightful. Goodbye, everybody.
