The fantasy footballers studio is sponsored by Walmart. Welcome to the fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

00:00:21

Welcome in.

00:00:29

Thank Football time.

00:00:31

Oh, you had me fooled, Mike.

00:00:33

Yeah. Oh, man, I forgot.

00:00:36

Here's football time.

00:00:37

Dang it.

00:00:39

That's okay. Forgot the joke. That's okay. You looked so distracted. I thought you didn't.

00:00:43

It was a trap.

00:00:45

Yeah, you got me. It is football time. Old Man River versus Old Man River. Well, Joe Flacko, the era continues. Aaron Rodgers, Thursday Night Football. Are you excited for the game?

00:01:09

Sure. Yeah.

00:01:11

You never know.

00:01:11

A little bit. I think it could be a pleasant surprise.

00:01:15

We had an update of my hearing that there was optimism for Trey.

00:01:20

Yes, I did see that update. That's a great update.

00:01:23

Pessimism now as he seems to be on the wrong side of playing.

00:01:27

Yeah, it's a long shot, right?

00:01:30

Yeah.

00:01:31

We here at the fantasy footballers love when great defensive players take time to get healthy. You know what I mean? We care about these great defensive players' bodies, and we don't want you to have to play a rugged game of football. Please sit down and relax.

00:01:46

Relax.

00:01:47

Put your feet up. You're still getting paid, Trey. Take that money.

00:01:50

A lot of money.

00:01:51

Yeah, but don't disrupt the offenses, please.

00:02:24

News and notes from Around the League, presented by Progressive Insurance.

00:02:32

Well, Brock Bauer is not practicing. He seems all but- Seven days. Out for this week. Then Jacobi Meyer's knee and toe. His head and shoulders are fine. It's Okay, maybe. He didn't practice.

00:02:48

There's a lot of rumors going around right now of trade rumors for Jacobi Meyer. When you didn't know a guy was injured, and then there's a lot of seemingly a lot of smoke.

00:03:00

Let's throw a bunch of things in there. We got the knees, we got the toes.

00:03:04

You don't want to overdo it. You don't want to be like, Oh, man, he's so hurt. Then the trade partner is like, Wait a minute.

00:03:10

Yeah, this is-He's not hurt?

00:03:12

You're like, Oh, no. What about his head and shoulders?

00:03:14

The team is saying they don't want to trade. So we'll see. We'll see what happens. Dj More, groin injury.

00:03:21

He's doing nothing for them.

00:03:23

Did not participate in the walkthrough.

00:03:25

The Jacobi stuff is so weird.

00:03:27

How he's not producing? Yeah.

00:03:29

How did I think it's more Gino.

00:03:33

And he didn't want to be there to start the season.

00:03:35

So there's got-Oh, he wanted money.

00:03:38

Yeah, he asked for a trade. So yeah, I know what you mean.

00:03:40

Because he's in the last year of his contract.

00:03:42

He knows his future is not there. He has to be traded. They said, No, he's playing. But they're not going to build a new offense around him. I mean, that's not going to happen when you're not part of their future.

00:03:52

Yeah, he's in the last year of his deal, so he's just trying to get some more guaranteed money.

00:03:56

Darnell Mooney limited on Wednesday. 49ers, most of them don't practice anymore. Ricky Pearsault.

00:04:03

Most of them don't play anymore.

00:04:04

Juan Jennings, George Kittle, limited, Jennings, limited, Purdy, limited.

00:04:08

So the Kittle and Purdy, limited, those are good news. Those aren't players that have been playing that now are missing practice. Those are players back in practice.

00:04:18

I was looking into this yesterday. Marvin Harrison Jr, who left early with a concussion on Sunday. He was technically limited. He would need to practice on Friday. I think if he practiced on Friday in full, we could feel good about him playing this week. Kyler Murray, limited. We'll see if he misses another week or not. Josh Downs, this is a bit of a... Is it an actual concussion?

00:04:42

Yeah, it was a concussion, and it was after the game. I think it was something in practice.

00:04:46

So this makes it-Oh, that means he's probably going to miss.

00:04:49

Very likely he misses the game.

00:04:50

And he was a waiver pickup.

00:04:52

He was.

00:04:53

Pukenau Kua officially did not practice on Wednesday with the ankle injury. He was also considered a long shot for the week. Chuba Hubbard, limited. Dave Canales said on Rico Dautil, he's earned the right to help this team, and we'll find a way for him to do that. 50-50 seems to likely.

00:05:10

That's better than we'll see.

00:05:11

I'm really curious. Do you think Chuba plays this week? Do you think he's back right now? Because we've been talking about, what do we do when Chuba comes back with Rico Dautil? But there's a chance it's just Dautil again, and then obviously you play him.

00:05:25

If Chuba comes back, do you feel like they give him a full allotment? If he's recovering, Is it 75, 25 for a couple of weeks? There's questions there.

00:05:33

I think I'm playing Rico. If you were going to play Rico, I'm playing him as usual. You might have a lower ceiling if Chuba is active, but I can't. I can't imagine with the calf injury that he has been recovering from, that he goes right back into a ton of carries.

00:05:53

Terry McLaurin, limited at practice. Could be back. Good news for Jaden Daniels. If he gets back out on the field, they need him, especially We'll see if Debo is really dealing with the heel injury, which the first week he was dealing with it, he still produced, had that late fourth down, countdown that nobody expected. But last week, not productive for the first time in a while, he could be hurting. And then all of a sudden, it's like, if Both of them didn't go. Luke McCaffrey, Jalen Lane, Zack Hertz. Ceedee Lamb limited on Wednesday's practice. Mike, very excited for Kittle to return. You're very excited for CeeDee Lamb to return.

00:06:28

False. Okay. I'm very excited for both because my Dino Squad has CeeDee Lamb.

00:06:34

And false. I am very excited for both because George Kittle is my guy that I really want to succeed. Everyone's excited. Everyone's happy. This is just good news to have these two guys back.

00:06:44

Trade Offer. Here's a question for you. Would you rather have Seedy Lamb or Gibbs & flowers?

00:06:52

Gibbs & flowers.

00:06:53

Got to ask this one this morning.

00:06:54

Or Seedy Lamb.

00:06:56

I'm curious because Seedy Lamb seems like he's got the maximum super value right now on the return as well.

00:07:03

I'm probably going to keep the Gibbs side.

00:07:06

Jason's eyes got really big.

00:07:08

Yeah, it's an interesting trade. Usually, when you are near the same tier or in the same tier at running back and wide receiver, I'd rather have the stud running back over the stud wide receiver. Then you get flowers. Then you add flowers. I think I'm on the Gibbs side. The question is just, CeeD Lamb might be in the tippy top tier. He could. Yeah. Gibbs, right now, seems like he's He's missing out on that- B. John. Cmc, B. John. Jonathan Taylor. Jonathan Taylor tier.

00:07:34

I think flowers is a buy-low right now.

00:07:37

I was going to say it. That was the next word out of my mouth. Zee flowers should be a buy-low with the return of Lamar Jackson. Right now, he's just fated of the mist, and then you have the history of not being as great of a player and fantasy-wise, and it's a time to get him. Mike Evans expected to practice Thursday.

00:07:56

Okay, which is good because- He was injured in week three. That's like a Wednesday. They are the Monday night game. So this is on schedule.

00:08:05

Yeah, they're expecting him to play. What's going to happen this week is he's either going to practice and play or he's going to have a setback. I don't think there's a world where he's practicing this week and then doesn't play off the ham string.

00:08:19

His ham string always terrifies me for the setback, but hopefully they've taken the right amount of time. They may be feeling a little pressed with no Abuka and no Godwin, so that scares me.

00:08:28

Don't press too hard.

00:08:30

No, Mike, you take it easy. You get back right. You make sure Baker wins the MVP. How's your ham string, Mike? Are all Mike's hamstrings somewhat correlated?

00:08:39

Yeah, we have a vive ham string.

00:08:42

Hive ham string? Yeah. So yours are good?

00:08:45

Mine are actually getting worse as he gets better.

00:08:47

When's the last time you've used them?

00:08:48

A couple of days ago. I stood up.

00:08:52

She's siphoning off.

00:08:52

You stood up. That was news and notes sponsored by Progressive Insurance. Quote today at progressive. Com. Progressive casualty insurance company affiliates and third-party insurers not available in all states or situations. Coverage subject to policy terms, limits, and conditions. Talk starts.

00:09:07

Starts of the Week, presented by US Bank.

00:09:15

Well, it's week seven, and we're getting into the matchups today. Week seven. We're getting into the matchups. We got some weather news to talk about as well that we'll need to highlight. What's that about? To highlight. It's the way the world works, Mike.

00:09:32

Get a roof. Get a retractable roof, you dummies.

00:09:36

It sounds very much like, get a room.

00:09:39

Yeah, get a roof.

00:09:41

Get a roof. All right, my starts of the week, we'll get into all of them. Mine are all bounce-back candidates, all of mine. A little bit of an encouragement, right? We're so reactionary week to week. Jason has been pretty good at picking out these players that they have a down week, and then they get it going. Lad McConkey, two straight great weeks. An example of that, mine are Bounce Back candidates, and I'm starting with his quarterback. I'm going Justin Herbert this week, bouncing back. He's not been very good. He's not been a top 10 quarterback since week three. This is The Dome Showdown. Jason, you'll be happy. It's a dome. They got a roof.

00:10:18

Fantastic.

00:10:19

Indianapolis. Daniel Jones, 48. 5 point over under. Chargers, favored. And they remain a pass-heavy team, and they're going to continue to be without Hampton. It's not that Vidal didn't do a good job. It's just that they need to lean on their best player, and it's Justin Herbert. Their third and pass rate over expectations, or expectation. And teams are chucking it against Indianapolis. They are 26th in terms of fancy points allowed to quarterbacks. It's a good matchup for him.

00:10:49

All right, my quarterback start of the week is Jared Goff. Jared Goff. You can start him in certain matchups when you want gargantuan outputs, and this is one of those weeks. They are playing on Monday Night Football.

00:11:06

I sure hope so because we've been calling for the golf weeks, and it's really just one.

00:11:13

You might have been calling. This is the This is a golf week. This is a blow-up week. Monday Night Football against Baker, 52. 5 point over under. There's a difficult team to run on with Vita Vea there. You pretty much have to throw on the Bucaneers, and they're 26th and yards per attempt, 24th and schedule just a fancy points allowed to quarterbacks. This is at home in a dome, huge. Everything is lining up to be perfect. And usually what I love about golf, and maybe it's been a couple of weeks where it's not that way, but over the course of his career, golf is predictable. You can be like, Oh, yeah, this is a golf game, and it works out well. We've seen this with pretty much every game Tampa Bay has been in. Baker is going to do enough to get stuff done. Hopefully, Mike Evans is there. If he does, if he can score on the lions enough, the lions are going to have to throw the ball. If I had Jared Goff, I can't imagine benching him this week.

00:12:06

All right, I'm going right back to it, man. C. J. Stroud off of the bye week. I think he can be streamed yet.

00:12:14

In your name What's your name?

00:12:16

My name is Jason Moul. Now, I do. I like Stroud. It makes sense. You got it last time.

00:12:23

You called it.

00:12:24

It's a lot easier when you're calling it against a Baltimore Ravens that is playing Juco guys in secondary. But last time we saw him, 2: 44 and 4. He is completing 71% of his passes. He's also running a bit more, 3. 6 rush attempts per game. Just a little tiny floor. Just maybe there's a mistake. Okay, We're covered up by 15 to 20 rushing yards. And it's the matchup. Seattle is a good defense, but the way that teams have been scoring on them or getting fancy points, it's through the air. Over the last month, 26 sixth in passing yards allowed per game and 25th in completion percentage allowed. And you're talking Arizona, Tampa Bay, and Jacksonville all scoring above their expectations. So I think that Stroud is in play.

00:13:11

All right. Last week, the big storyline Quinshawn Dudkins was one of the-Oh, nice.

00:13:17

The big pun day commonalities.

00:13:22

Bounceback week. It's Miami. Quinchawn Dudkins. He was coming off three straight top 12 weeks. They fell flat. Oh, that's the wind.

00:13:31

Yeah, you're not throwing there.

00:13:33

That's not a very strong wind sound.

00:13:35

It's filtering it. This pop filter is doing a...

00:13:39

That's much better, Mike. It's not that hard. So this is the game that is red alert on the weather front. Miami, Cleveland. This morning, they said gust of 50 to 60 miles an hour.

00:13:52

I don't believe that.

00:13:53

With sustained winds.

00:13:55

We're early, but you got to pay attention.

00:13:57

Dylan Gabriel might blow away in in those gusts. But it sustained 30 plus mile an hour wins with rain, some sweet boomering passes. I think Quinshawn Judkins alone in this matchup, weather notwithstanding, would be a great bounce back because the Dolphins' rush defense Might be the worst in the NFL.

00:14:17

You don't care whether the weather is bad?

00:14:18

I don't care whether the weather. Don't put a roof on it. I don't care. Quinshawn Judkins is going to take care of business. I think they're giving up 130 plus yards a game to running And Judkins is so good. Don't freak out. Last week, I know it hurt and it stunk, and that's going to be part of being a part of a bad offense sometimes. But let's go bounce back number 2, Quinchawn Judkins.

00:14:44

I like it. My start of the week this week is Jalen Warren tonight in the Thursday night football matchup, he came back off of an injury, was involved quite a bit. He had 53% of the snaps, averaged 4. 8 yards of touch, looked great against a really tough Brown's defense last week, and now he plays against the Bangles' rush defense that they're in contention for the worst rush defense in the NFL. 29th in rushing yards allowed per game, 30th in yards before contact allowed, and they're dead last in schedule adjusted fantasy points allowed to running back. So whether it's on the ground or through the air, Jalen Warren is in a great spot tonight.

00:15:22

How can he possibly hit a ceiling knowing that Caleb Johnson is going to siphon all It's all that work.

00:15:30

Caleb Johnson is going to have one drive killing, breakdown run, but the rest will be Jalen Warren. And that's part of why I wanted to make Jalen Warren my start of the week is so that people know- To repent for your-not to repent. So that they know Jalen Warren is the dude there. Obviously, he has been playing great ball. He's the one that Aaron Rodgers trusts. He's the one that Mike Tomlin trusts right now.

00:15:51

It's never too late to repent, though.

00:15:53

It's never too late to repent. I love that advice. I'm not going to repent of my Caleb Johnson love. Not yet.

00:16:00

Okay, we'll talk to you tomorrow.

00:16:01

See you on tomorrow's show.

00:16:03

Jordan Mason versus Philadelphia.

00:16:07

If Caleb Johnson fumbles, it's the funniest thing that has ever happened.

00:16:10

The best news is here, we're set up for success. If Caleb Johnson does nothing, Great. Dunk on me. If Caleb Johnson gets that countdown, fantastic.

00:16:18

You're going to dunk all over.

00:16:20

You're darn right.

00:16:21

From Halfcourt. I'm going with Jordan Mason against the Philadelphia Eagles. It's a buy week. You always love that. Guys getting a little bit healthier. Right now, Jordan Jordan Mason is at 31% of the team's total rush attempts and targets his workhorse percentage. Anything over 30% is elite. I know Carter being out last week certainly helped Cam Skatebu, but it's just the Eagles right now are looking like a run funnel defense, 26th in rushing yards, allowed 31st in % of runs stuffed at the line of scrimage. Guys are getting going. If Jordan Mason is not getting... He's one of these guys. If you're not stuffing him at the line, he's going to start ripping off chunk yardage. He's going to be hitting big place. So I like Jordan Mason a lot.

00:17:04

Bounce back number three. He was Courtland nothing last week, traveling all the way overseas for one reception and 17 yards on just three targets. But I'm taking Courtland Sutton to bounce back against the New York football giants who we're now excited to watch play football with Jackson Dart and Cam Skatebu. But I'm taking Courtland Sutton. He had been a top 20 wide receiver in four of the first five weeks. He is the go Two receiver for Bo Nicks. If Bo Nicks is going to get it going, it's going to happen with Courtland Sutton, and the Giants are 26th, and schedule adjusted fantasy points to wide receivers. Trust in Courtland Sutton this week. What's going on, Jason? Jason, you are Are we pausing the starts of the week for a second?

00:17:46

Yeah, we're pausing.

00:17:48

What happened? Why is that? We're pausing.

00:17:49

Why is that?

00:17:51

Why is that? Did the trade happen?

00:17:54

Yeah, the trade happened. Mike and Al. Oh, no.

00:17:58

I don't I got a breaking news. Oh, no.

00:18:02

We'll go.

00:18:04

What?

00:18:04

Breaking news.

00:18:06

What? Baby.

00:18:08

All right, this sucks.

00:18:09

Yes, sir. Oh, no.

00:18:10

Yes, sir. Mike's team is very, very good. Mike and Josh are the two leaders in the League of Records.

00:18:15

Jeremy, you're a gentleman.

00:18:16

And Jeremy.

00:18:17

Pleasure doing business with you.

00:18:18

Also part of the trade agreement.

00:18:20

Jeremy, I'm going to slap you across the face.

00:18:21

Brian Ketrin, you're an awesome dude.

00:18:24

Oh, that was part of... Oh, that's funny. That's part of the trade agreement. I think that's how we got it to go through. Here's the trade. Mike is sending away an injured, Garrett Wilson and an R. J. Harvey, two young good players, and his second round pick- He finally strikes. Which is the biggest ammunition we have in our league, and he's receiving Justin Jefferson in a later pick So two...

00:18:45

I mean, Gary Wilson, great keeper, obviously, he's going to miss a couple of weeks. Harvey, I think, in our format, a very good keeper.

00:18:52

I understand it from both sides. I don't like it from my side.

00:18:57

There is an arms race at the top of our league right now. They're saying, I'm here. Wow.

00:19:03

Okay. Did you pull that reference, Jeremy? Oh, I thought you...

00:19:07

Okay.

00:19:07

I was like, it was really short. That was a follow-up. What were you talking about?

00:19:10

I was about to talk about my wide receiver start of the week, which is not Justin Jefferson. It is Rashi Rice right off of suspensing mine.

00:19:17

Can we talk about R ushy Rice's ridiculous- Hype video? Hype video for multiple reasons.

00:19:26

Okay, let's talk.

00:19:27

One, what you're returning Yes. Was there an injury? No. Are you battling back from a tough rehab? Yeah. I like it.

00:19:34

Or a felony. I'm in the pool.

00:19:36

Which one? A double. Which one is it? I think it was two felonies.

00:19:39

Then the second part is to use a customized logo in the Rashi Rice return. Oh, well- In the video itself.

00:19:47

Oh, is that the return?

00:19:48

Yeah, it's the return because he's Rashi Rice. All right, go on. You can now- Anyways, look, according to that video, he has been- Can't wait to see to see to Sean Watson's Hype return video. Oh, man.

00:19:58

Where's Justin I'm Tucker's video.

00:20:00

All right. Rushing Rice. He's been working out like crazy, according to that video. O. J.

00:20:04

Simpson, coming back?

00:20:06

Espn's Jeremy Fowler reported that the Chiefs are going to allocate a heavy workload to Rice as soon as possible. Because he is coming off of a suspension and not an injury. There's no ramp up, no getting healthy, no worry about those type of things. The match up here is perfect. The Raiders are running an absurd amount of zone. They're running cover three or cover four at 62% of the time. That's the second highest in the NFL. Last year in those games, we saw Rice dominate. He was targeted on 43% of his routes versus those coverage. We've had a lot of questions already this week of, Do I wait and see with R ushy Rice? I'm making them at the start of the week because it's like, No, you don't wait and see. You've waited to see, but you want to see him in your lineup. I'm putting him in my lineup. Immediately. Any wide receiver can dud. You have waited long enough. Most likely, you are not a 6-0 team. You are 2-4 and been waiting. And so now's the time. Plug him in your lineup, get what you're going to get, and I think you're going to be thrilled with it.

00:21:04

Probably a puff piece, but yesterday, it was like, Chief's immediately going to heavy workload for Rashe Rice, so I'm very excited for it. I snuck it in, I think on Monday. I was like, Oh, you know what? Dike Metcalf. I'm really liking the position that he's in. He's taking on Cincinnati. It's tonight, a shutdown in four straight games. No one on that team can handle His physicality since he's 30th and schedule adjusted points to the wide receiver position. I mean, honestly, the bangles are that team where you could put anyone in, but when you have top-tier players like D. K. Metcalf, and Maybe you don't think of Jalen Warren as a top-tier guy, but he might be turning into one. And just all stealers tonight, I'm pretty excited.

00:21:51

When it comes to the Trey Hendrickson injury, that favors D. K. Metcalf way more than Jalen Warren because they'll replace him with someone that might be better at stuff in the run. But if you give Aaron Rodgers time to throw, he's going to find Metcalf.

00:22:06

My final bounce back start of the week, it's a B-ounce back for Mason Taylor. What? For Mason Taylor.

00:22:14

A B-ounce back. That's good.

00:22:17

It's Carolina. It's Mason Taylor. It's no, Garrett Wilson. It's probably no, Josh Reynolds. It's an 18% target share in the season. It's a throw the last one out because they didn't throw at all. It's a Miam mix start of the week. Mason Taylor bouncing back against Carolina. Oh, yeah, the Panthers are the worst in the league. Why don't we...

00:22:36

Let's put that on social media. Andy Holloway, Start of the Week, Mason Taylor.

00:22:41

There you go. All right. This is like my Roshy Rice coming straight off of suspension. I'm throwing George Kittle in the lineup. What is this hype video? Straight off the... He didn't have a double felony. You only really hype up those coming off of... Make sure that he's going to play. Yeah, I mean, obviously, you're going to play.

00:23:00

Is this a whether he plays or not, you're still starting him? Is that one of those?

00:23:03

You know what? I'm going to be so bold as to say yes. Okay. Whether he plays or not, I'm starting him.

00:23:08

George Kittle do have- Sunday night with a Tongis Mc backup.

00:23:11

Yes. Nice. Tongis Mc backup on the Sunday night game, you'll be fine. I expect George Kittle to play, and I don't care if the matchup is good, if the matchup is bad. Right now, Atlanta looks great against tight ends. They haven't faced anyone elite. It doesn't matter. George Kittle, He is going to finish this season as the tight-end one in points per game. They need him so bad. And in his splits with Brock Purdy, who looks like he might be trending to play, he's averaging 12. 6 fantasy points per game and 66 receiving yards a game over three years. It's not a small sample size. So Kittle, right to my lineup.

00:23:52

Booksy makes a great point here. Aj Barner plays on Monday night. Should Jake Tondjus make basketball, not be there. Aj Barner is a fine pickup and play. Should you be waiting as a choice, Kittle. As a pivot. Yeah. My start of the week, I had this in before. I got alerted to a weather situation.

00:24:11

This might be the one most okay, actually.

00:24:14

It could still work. Harold Fana Jr. Against the Miami Dolphins. Look, David Najoku seems like he might miss.

00:24:22

And might be traded.

00:24:23

Oh, I have not seen those.

00:24:25

There's trade rumors for David Najoku right now.

00:24:28

Even more of a reason to go pick up Fana. Absolutely. If he doesn't have to split any of that tight-end pie, then he should be seeing a bunch of targets. But I like him this week. Miami's tied for allowing the fourth-most reception to the tight-end position.

00:24:43

With Najoku, he's on pace for over 105 targets on the year, Harold Fana. And the average depth of target for him with Dylan Gabriel? I mean, he passed it 52 times. I think there were three that went 10 or more yards. He's built for wind games.

00:24:57

Right. They Use them short. These aren't deep routes. So even if you get to Sunday and it's windy, but it's not these catastrophic hellscape of winds, then you're going to be fine.

00:25:12

It is really worth noting. You have to tune in to Sunday Live with Mike an hour before kickoff because when we're talking on a Thursday about the weather, it can look catastrophic and it can really be okay. And it can be the opposite. There could be a different game where it's like, oh, Chicago looks okay, and then it turns out-Yeah, Chicago is on the-They're on the radar of caution.

00:25:36

Man, nothing I like talking about more than weather.

00:25:38

Yeah, it's what makes fantasy fun. It's what makes the NFL fun. It's what makes it a real man's game.

00:25:44

If you put a roof on everyone, we cannot have some games forecasted with a tornado like we do this week. Do you realize that?

00:25:52

I do. I did not. We have a game in Oklahoma?

00:25:57

Oh, okay. I would actually say a tornado So even with a roof, is a pretty big problem.

00:26:03

That's fair. Yeah, the roof is not really going to stop the tornado.

00:26:06

The roof might be a bigger problem, to be honest.

00:26:08

Oh, great idea. Subterrain stadiums.

00:26:14

You guys would love that. Dig deep. Why don't you even put the lights on?

00:26:17

How are you going to see? I'm definitely going to need the lights, Andy. We can put electricity down.

00:26:21

That's not out of the realm of company. That's so stupid.

00:26:23

Why would you say something so stupid?

00:26:25

I don't like bad weather. I like some weather. I like the open skies.

00:26:29

Yeah, I mean, we are team retractable roof. It's just easier to say team don't.

00:26:33

Yeah, retractable roof is where it's at. Yeah.

00:26:36

If you're going to push, I'm going underground.

00:26:38

Yeah, I will, too. I will, too. I will be there with you. But the light's on, Mike.

00:26:42

It would be the world's most expensive Stadium.

00:26:45

Stadium ever built. Yeah, because that's called a hard dig.

00:26:48

Yeah. Oh, you hit that Kelechi. All right. They're going to tell you it's not there. And then you're going to...

00:26:53

We know rocks.

00:26:54

That's an Arizona joke.

00:26:56

That was Start of the Week presented by US Bank's smartly signature Visa The Card. Visit usbank. Com/smartlycard to learn how you can earn cash back on every purchase. The creditor and issuer of this card is US Bank National Association. Pursuant to a license from Visa USA, Inc, some restrictions may apply. We'll take a break, and it's into the forecast we go. All right, it's week seven.

00:27:21

Let's talk about it.

00:27:26

Fantasy Forecast, presented by Prizepicks.

00:27:30

Texans and Vikings coming back off the buy. Bills and Ravens going to the buy. Lamar Jackson getting healthy. Hopefully, the Bills defense as well. I do want to pan over to Deucer's alley for a moment. I know Al is probably hard at work over there, but I need a first reaction. You've had Justin Jefferson for a while. He was part of your Championship team last year. He's Justin Jefferson. Yes, sir. First few moments knowing he's not a member of your team. How does that feel? Do you feel settled? No. Are you comfortable with this trade? No.

00:28:01

I think it was fine. But it sounds like you don't really like that you traded Justin Jefferson to a potential champion. I could see it going both ways. So I'm just going to hang out here on the fence.

00:28:13

Well, you see, You were on behalf of it. Was he going to be your franchise player? He was. And now?

00:28:22

Gary Wilson will be.

00:28:23

Okay.

00:28:24

Oh, man. For a two.

00:28:26

Kyren, Harvey, and McBride will be my keepers.

00:28:28

Yeah. So he's Got another guy for his lotto now, though. Okay.

00:28:32

That is correct. That was part of it.

00:28:34

I only had a franchise and two keepers prior to this trade, and so now it filled out my keeper situation. Man, I can't believe you got that.

00:28:41

Mike is dangerous. Mike is dangerous. He acted like he was... Yesterday, he was just like, Everybody's trading their twos away, their threes away, and I'm feeling really good, even if things go bad. I don't have-Yeah, I get to the trade deadline. I got all my pics. I got the trade deadline, and then he struck. Like a tornado at a football game.

00:28:58

Well, if you didn't get Justin Jefferson for a two, you strike because you can't usually get that done.

00:29:02

Let's go to London. Again, the Rams, four and two. Jacksonville, four and two. Jacksonville just basically lives in London every year. Vegas Line, Los Angeles minus three over and under is 44 and a half. Jacksonville lost last week. The Rams lost Pukina Kua last week. The start set in this game does feel fairly straightforward. I guess the debates are around some of the peripheral flex options. Brian Thomas had the big bounce back last week. Almost had two touch downs, still went 8 for 90 and one. Devante Adams and Brian Thomas, locks, right? Kyren Williams, he's a lock.

00:29:40

Yeah. You have Blake Corum did not practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. I mean, it's six opportunities per game, but if Kyren gets four more-Yeah, we've seen Kyren last year get 90% snaps.

00:29:55

He can do it. Yeah, he can do it, and he'll be great doing that. This has not been an easy team to run on. On both sides of the ball here, you got Travis ETN and Blake Corum, who are looking like true workhorses for their teams. Workhorses. Corum gets more touch downs. Etn gets more passes.

00:30:13

They're looking like warhorses.

00:30:14

No, That's a Conan O'Brien joke. Clip, clop, cloppity, clue.

00:30:20

But neither one of these guys has an easy matchup here. I mean, Kyren is locked in, but I'm not very bullish on ETN in this matchup?

00:30:31

I'm going to make a statement that I don't feel is very safe, but I do believe in. I think you want to trade for Travis Hunter.

00:30:42

Wow. Okay. I didn't see that coming.

00:30:46

I think that you're going to see it get a lot better, a lot faster than you might imagine. He played 78% of snaps after a week of 67% of snaps, then 56 before that. The work is going up. Liam Cohen came out this week, and he said-Dubal. But he also said that he wanted to draw more first read plays for Travis Hunter. You got to understand this is an acclamation process. This is a guy that they, I think, have tried to split the fence on. But when you don't get the practice time you need sufficiently on one side of the football, I do expect it to come along slower. You saw the big play two weeks ago. Last week wasn't good, but the snap The discounts went up, the targets went up. It's what I believe. I just believe that Travis Hunter might become a bonafide flex play every week.

00:31:40

The question for that, then, Andy, is this week, he plays the Rams. They are currently eighth against fantasy wide receiver. So the matchup is already really tough. Next week is the buy week for Jacksville. I can definitely see after the buy week, Travis Hunter really seeing an up.

00:31:59

And maybe That's your moment. I just worry about the big game coming.

00:32:03

He's probably dirt cheap right now. But after this week, if he has another dud and then has the buy week, he'll be on the way to water.

00:32:09

I was just going to say, if he has a bad week this week, he will be dropped by everybody because they don't want to hold a guy who is currently on pace for 500 yards, has not had a single decent game, and then is going into a buy, you're going to drop him. But that might be the right time to scoop him up.

00:32:27

So the replacement guy is over here.

00:32:29

He He made one big catch that won a matchup for Jason over me.

00:32:33

Thank you, Travis Hunter.

00:32:35

Yeah.

00:32:35

Thank you, Andy, for trading me, Travis Hunter.

00:32:37

The replacement guys of Jordan Wittington, who played 92% of the snaps, Tutu Atwell, was limited with the ham string, but We know that Tutu has just made so much money in the NFL, and he keeps sticking around on the Rams. And honestly, when they find themselves depleted-He's a one-touch man. Tutu. One touch. Tutu, he can show up.

00:33:00

So you have Tootoo and Tootoo in the same game. Is that right?

00:33:04

That's a lot of Toot.

00:33:05

A Toot v. Toot.

00:33:05

Toot. Toot. Toot. Toot.

00:33:07

That just seems like the thing we'd focus on.

00:33:09

But the Jags are... You have to beat them through the air. Do you have any interest in the replacement of Wittington or Tutu? Do you feel strong about one or the other?

00:33:21

Wittington is the one that I would definitely play over Tutu. Tutu, you're waiting for a bigger play. I think Wittington, you're going to see almost 100% of the snaps. So it's what- Yes, you should. That is, to me, very interesting.

00:33:34

Yeah, Wittington should be okay. I do have the little worries in the back of the mind of just being this London international game that so often produces a dud overall ball. But Wittington would be the guy ahead of Atwell for me.

00:33:50

New Orleans, one and five, taking on the above 500 at this point in the season for the first time in a while or so it seems, but we'll see if it keeps going. Chicago bears, who are three and two. The Vegas line, Chicago minus four and a half. The over-run is 46 and a half. The Dennis Allen revenge game we've been waiting for. You get the defensive coordinator of the bears, who was the former head coach of the Saints, who Jason Loved. Just loved him.

00:34:16

I just thought he was a really solid head coach who built up his team and wasn't just...

00:34:23

Demoralizing them?

00:34:25

Demoralizing them.

00:34:26

Oh, man. I don't know if he ever hit one of them.

00:34:27

Kendre Miller.

00:34:30

Oh, Kendre Miller.

00:34:31

Kendre Miller will be playing with the fire of a thousand sons.

00:34:35

Yeah.

00:34:36

Oh, man. This is true revenge for Kendre.

00:34:41

It is worth noting. I know we talked a lot about the game in Cleveland with the Dolphins and the Browns being a bad weather game, potentially. This is another one that has the potential to be 20-mile-an-hour wins, rain. Right now, it's projected just before the game, but this could be a bad weather game, which when those wins get above 15 miles an hour, especially if they're above 20, that's where you see more work going to the running game and less work in the passing game.

00:35:10

Caleb Williams is the quarterback seven so far in fancy points per game. Deandre Swift had the monster week last week, 14 for 108. You had Roma Dunzey, who he had his first down week, had the touch down called back. You're on look out for what's going on with DJ more this week. Does that give Luther Burden more opportunities in the offense? Who is still running behind Mr. Zakeas in snaps and routes? I have this simultaneous, will it, won't it happen with Luther Burden? Sometimes I want to believe the DJ more injury could lead to more work. He's a really good player that I like. It's just a matter of how consistent it could be for Luther Burden.

00:35:55

I'm very hopeful. I'm optimistic here for Luther Burden to get it going on the second half of the season.

00:36:03

Chris Olave was limited. Alvin Kamara limited. Or actually, he didn't practice on Wednesday, but that's Alvin Kamara. Chris Olave limited on Wednesday with a hip injury. He is leading all wide receivers and expected fantasy points per game. Expected fantasy points per game, whatever. That's a product of the offense.

00:36:23

I need actual.

00:36:25

So, Juan Johnson, we're done there. Colson Loveling, just keep an eye on him, but he He finally overtook Kameh in routes. He's getting healthier. Are there questions on this start-sit situation here in this game? I mean, the question is-It doesn't feel like there's a lot.

00:36:37

It's just based off of buy weeks and injuries. Is Kendre Miller playable? I mean, the bears, you can beat them on the ground. He has seen 39% of the snaps the past two weeks.

00:36:51

He can be a DFS dart throw because you don't expect people to play him and whatnot. He'll be cheap. But I can't imagine in most of the league that you're going put someone in not getting enough work. I mean, the matchup is there and the revenge is there and all that. So you can see the narrative for it happening. But throwing him into a starting lineup right now, it feels like you've got to have more options guaranteed for opportunities.

00:37:16

I tried to take advantage of Mike's trading mood during the show. What'd you offer? I sent him an offer. I thought it was a good one. Ramondre.

00:37:24

It was. I had to push back a little.

00:37:26

He did counter it. I'm thinking about it.

00:37:28

I get Ramondre, and Andy gets a third-round pick. I countered with, I get Ramondre and the remainder of Andy's FAB, and he doesn't get anything.

00:37:39

Which I'm considering, to be honest, it seems maybe reasonable. Got you. For him to be allowed to release Ramondre.

00:37:46

You must pay me.

00:37:48

He's got to give you fabs.

00:37:49

I'll put him on my roster.

00:37:50

I'm just doing some live trading here on the show. Miami, Cleveland. The Wind will howl in Cleveland, both one and five teams. So the wind is already howling in locker rooms for these two franchises. You had two of them and apologize for all of his comments from last week. Kyle was very fascinated to find out this is the first time in 19 years that two left-handed quarterbacks will start in NFL games against each other. Gross. Oh, what? Great news. Jason finds left-handed throwing gross.

00:38:23

So ugly.

00:38:24

I got great news, Jay. If they're both left-handed, you can just watch this game in a mirror.

00:38:30

I will do that.

00:38:32

Everything is okay.

00:38:33

That's great, man. Thank you.

00:38:34

Because if just one of them is, then you got to keep switching off.

00:38:38

Then I'm just switching teams.

00:38:39

Just watch backwards.

00:38:40

No, that's great, man. Thank you. I don't like it. This shouldn't be allowed.

00:38:44

Why does it wear you out? You're left-handed. I know.

00:38:48

That's the best part.

00:38:49

Yeah. I mean, he's gross. Then you're gross.

00:38:52

I am gross.

00:38:52

It's just self-loathing left-hander.

00:38:54

Dylan Gabriel, two of Tungavaila, the matchup we never really wanted. Cleveland minus two and a half, favored at home. Overrunner is just 39 and a half. I had shared this morning, and I will go and find the direct quote so that I am... Andy Slater had tweeted, They could have 50 to 60 mile an hour win, Gus. National The National Weather Service says this is a system worth keeping an eye on as a stronger storm may materialize. In the current forecast, 94% chance of rain, 36 mile-an-hour gust, 65 degrees.

00:39:26

I don't know who that is. The sources that I usually look at- Those are two wildly different things. Are not having it be that high. But it certainly is. I mean, this is just you put the red flag up to make sure you come back and look at this, that you're prepared for pivot options.

00:39:42

Yeah, just be ready. Things change, weather changes. Devon Hient, R-B-4 on the season. He's been great. Judkins, start of the week, bounce back week, in my opinion, with the matchup. The bigger question marks, you don't play pass catchers for Cleveland. You just don't do that unless it's Harold Fanon, and the tight-end position is different, and he could be fine.

00:40:02

Yeah, I agree. It makes it very, very easy. It's Judkins and a potential Fanon on the Cleveland side.

00:40:10

Do you realize how many targets Jerry Judy got last week?

00:40:14

What have we talked about these Cleveland Brown targets.

00:40:16

No, I just want you to know the number.

00:40:18

If you've asked Jason a thousand times, his targets don't matter. That's what he says.

00:40:23

He turned 13 targets into 43 receiving cards.

00:40:28

That's impressive work. I couldn't do that.

00:40:31

Good grief, man.

00:40:33

No, you couldn't. We have Darren Waller, four receiving touch downs in three games. We're feeling... How are we feeling?

00:40:42

I have Darren Waller. I made that trade to acquire him as my attempt to fix my tight-end position. Because of the weather and a good Cleveland Browns team, I picked up Mioos and Taylor, your start of the week. I've got a real decision coming down that will probably not be made until Sunday. As of right now, Darren Waller is in the game. If the weather goes really, really bad that morning and it looks like, wow, it's going to be so hard to throw in this, then I will pivot off of Darren Waller.

00:41:16

To comfort people out there with Darren Waller, because it was only two for 12, he did have the shutdown, so it wasn't horrifically bad, but the snaps were up again.

00:41:27

Very nice.

00:41:28

Yeah, he was at the 69th percentile of the snaps. So it's like he is still ramping up. The ramp is endless.

00:41:36

No, this ramp, it's a long ramp, very comfortable to walk on. This is not some-Yeah, it's a smooth grade.

00:41:42

Yeah, the grade is imperceivable. A handrail?

00:41:46

Not on this ramp. No, you don't need it. New England, four and two. The Titans, one in five. Vegas Line, New England, minus seven on the road. Overrunters, 42 and a half. Also have some rain and wind chance in this one. Mike Mike McCoy taking over the Titans.

00:42:03

Oh, boy.

00:42:04

I really want Kim Moore to look better than he does, but it doesn't look good.

00:42:10

No, it does not look good.

00:42:12

And so seven and a half point home favorites is where you end up with the way this offense is playing. It's getting messier, I think, in Tennessee because it's an offense you don't love, but now you have a backfield that is going to be shared. Tajay Spears played 59% of the snaps last week. Tony Pollard, just 43 %. So now you have to split. Tony Pollard was at least this solid 10 points due to volume. Calvin Ridley didn't practice, not likely to play in this one. Maybe you start to pay attention to Chiga Konkua a little bit, but you can't trust this often. No. I had brought up Elec Iomanner. Maybe he's the number one target. Still not trustworthy. There are a lot of players on the other side of the ball I'd feel way better playing, like Keishaan Boody last week, who took advantage of the... Stefan Diggs They played the slot really well, and Boody took advantage, scored twice. Would you play Boody? Would you play Sterling Sheppard with no Abuka and Noah- I think I'd play...

00:43:12

Are you staying over Titans?

00:43:14

No, I'm sorry. I'm saying Keishaan Boody or Sterling Sheppard.

00:43:18

Oh, okay. I got you.

00:43:21

With no Boody, no Godwin. Or sorry, no Abuka, no Godwin.

00:43:25

I'd be tracking the Mike Evans news. If Mike Evans Let's see. If Mike Evans plays, would I play Sheepard over Boody? No, I'd chase the fire.

00:43:40

Give me three words. Three words to describe your current feelings on Treyvian Henderson. Three words? Three words. Either of you can contribute to the pile.

00:43:51

Frustrated with talent.

00:43:54

Frustrated with talent, so yours is more of a sentence. With was one of your words.

00:43:59

Mike, Vrabel, eat, do, do.

00:44:04

I had two other words. I had two other words there.

00:44:10

Hence, the boss had to cycle through the Rolodex real quick.

00:44:14

Ramondre Stevenson led the team in... Or led his season high in snaps last week, 72 %. The Titans are 30th against runningbacks this year. If you had to start Trevian or Ramondre, you're playing Ramondre? With that snap count?

00:44:32

Yeah, I think you have to right now. You have to pick one of them.

00:44:37

How did you have some words?

00:44:38

You don't have to.

00:44:39

I just can't imagine playing someone that is getting in the 30s % of snaps over the person playing 70% of snaps, even if the person behind him is more efficient, which they are.

00:44:50

Also scored more fancy points last week.

00:44:53

I mean, who's going to get the opportunities if they're around the goal line?

00:44:58

Ramondre, probably. Right.

00:45:00

Yeah, I would play Ramondre.

00:45:02

Both are difficult plays. I think I'd still play Henderson.

00:45:08

You're going to get some value at the running back position against Tennessee Titans. I mean, they are down in the vast majority of their snaps. The second half, it doesn't matter if they've got a good defensive line or not, which theirs isn't the worst in the league, but they get worn out. The other team is going to run a ton. When you run a ton, that to me says it's a Ramondre game, not a Henderson game. Now, if it's a blowout- I'm with you on that.

00:45:34

I think that that's what's going to happen.

00:45:35

I could see a world where if it's a blowout, all of a sudden, Hey, let's get Henderson more work at the end. But I have, personally, I took the first week coach bump against the spread, which at the time was seven and a half points. So I don't see it being a blowout. That's where I'm on the Ramondre side.

00:45:55

All right. If you need to start, Hunter Henry is always someone you could take a look at, but it's It's not been great. He's the tight in nine on the season. If he catches a touch down, you're happy, which is basically all the tight ends.

00:46:04

But the matchup is not there.

00:46:06

No. And Drake May, it's been great. Drake May is playing very, very well, completing 73% of his passes 20 plus yards down the field, which is wild because the league average is 40 %. And you love that. You love that they can trust him to go downfield. It's going to be a game that I think is not close.

00:46:27

Yeah, May is currently the quarterback six. He's been excellent.

00:46:30

Yeah, he's one of the... There were some names in the offseason, those later round pics that you were looking at saying, you take the shot here and there, and he's been one that's worked out. So we'll take a break, and we'll jump into some more matchups. The Las Vegas Raiders at 2: 00 and 4: 00 take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 3: 00 and 3: 00.

00:46:55

What? Something going on behind the scenes?

00:46:59

Maybe.

00:47:00

I just know Jason's just got to- Are we still trading? Jason's just got this look on his face. He's mentally working through some things. I am.

00:47:10

I don't know if this- Lock in, man. How do I look?

00:47:14

Remember, Yesterday when we thought something really dangerous was happening and he's on his phone and we're like, Is the family okay? He was just betting on Caleb Johnson to score a nutshell.

00:47:23

Priorities matter, man. It was great.

00:47:27

It was great. Are we going to have to pause the show? Yeah.

00:47:29

Is everything all right?

00:47:30

But he got the bet in. My family's okay right now. I think. I don't know. I haven't heard from him forever. But that's probably a good sign, right? If you haven't heard anything forever.

00:47:41

Yeah, no news is good news.

00:47:42

No news is good news here. No news is good news.

00:47:47

I can't find them. All right, the Raiders, two and four. The Chiefs, three and three. The Chiefs, eleven and a half point favorites. Overrunners, 45 and a half. In the games in which the Chiefs have been double-digit favorites, which is 29 times in the Mahomes era, they are 26 and 3, with two of those losses coming against the Raiders.

00:48:15

Divisional matchup.

00:48:16

So do you want to get a quick bet in on the Raiders then? Moneyline? No.

00:48:21

No, thank you. I do believe I picked the Raiders to cover, but I certainly wouldn't put money on it. The Kansas City Chiefs have looked He's awesome. They're getting R ushy Rice back. Their defense is playing well. Mahomes is playing outstanding. He's running the ball so much. He's obviously a must start right now. He's the quarterback one on the season. He's on pace for 4,300 yards passing, 32 passing touch downs, and 630 rushing yards. Now, I am curious, and this will be telling. A lot of his rushing attempts come because I feel like he has nobody to throw the ball to on a lot of the plays. Yeah, it seems like it. Now, he's got Rushing Rice. So it's like, does this make the Chiefs better and Mahomes worse for fantasy? Because instead of rushing yards, it's like, oh, he would have- It's rushing yards instead of rushing yards? Yeah, exactly. Rushing yards are worth less.

00:49:12

It's an interesting thought, and it might hold true. Although he is... The passing touch downs could go up, having more weapons. He's on pace for 4,300 yards right now, but he had never hit 400 in a season. Wow, and he's on pace for 6,30. Wow. Rashi Rice, your start of the week. Where does that put the other guys in the receiving room?

00:49:34

Worthy is still startable. The other guys, it will be the ancillary. One of them might do something, nothing predictable. I wouldn't be chasing it. Kelsey, I think, remains who he has been, which is okay. It's a decent tight-end play. The runningbacks, I think, are what's interesting here with Riceback, with the 11. 5 point being favored. I think that Kareem Hunt could be playable. You got to pick your spots here, but predicting game script can make you look like a buffoon a lot of the time. I don't think it will here. I think that the Chiefs are going to smoke the Raiders here, which could put Kareem Hunt in line for a bunch of second-half work of just run out the clock.

00:50:30

You have Ashton Genti sitting at the RBI 11 on this season with a 19% target share the last two weeks. That's what we need. Talk about what happened to Jacobi Myers. Well, you got 20% of your targets going to the running back position now, and it's worth it for this team in this offense.

00:50:44

Yeah, this is what you want to see. We complained after three weeks, and we as fantasy community, with the utilization, the workload, what we've seen. It was deserved. That was when we had Genti as one of our trade fork candidates. And since then, he's had 23 23 opportunities, 21 opportunities, 27 opportunities. He is necessary if this team wants to do anything. So he's obviously going to be started, but I think he should be very good pretty much rest of the season.

00:51:13

And bench the rest of the pass catchers, right? No Jacobi, no Tucker, no Besh, no Bowers is going to play. Correct. Bowers won't even play, but no. What about Meyer?

00:51:21

Meyer is potential. That could be a pivot if the weather is super bad elsewhere. Meyer last week targeted on 35 5% of his routes. He's a good tight-in in his own right. He was drafted in the second round. He was in a weaker tight-in class, but he was one of the at least two best in that class. Then they went the next year and got Brock Bowers, and so Michael Mayer disappeared. Well, in the game, we only had one game because Mayer was missing with a concussion when Bowers went out. Last week was the first time we saw Mayer and no Bowers. He had 5 for 50 in a countdown. I I think he's in that break glass in case of emergency.

00:52:03

Do you like Miaussen or Mayer?

00:52:06

Miaouin is all alone. At least here, Meyer, while he doesn't have Bowers, he still has Myers and Trey Tucker and Jack Bish and Thornton.

00:52:14

Yeah, but Miaussen has Justin Fields.

00:52:20

Okay. Michael Meyer has Gino Smith. We can do this forever.

00:52:24

We can do this all day.

00:52:25

It's a good counter.

00:52:27

And pay attention, Travis, Kelsi, you average two receptions, fewer per game when Rice was a full-time player.

00:52:33

I have moved him down in my rankings, and he's still at the point where you're pretty much going to have to start him. But he scares the tarnation out of me because what we saw in the three games with Rice last year was a 14% target share. It was unusability from Travis Kelsey. They work in the same area of the field. And so my eyes, he's going to be in my lineup. My eyes are going to be all over Travis Kelsey. If he comes out and has a dud, I will be... If I have Travis I'm looking to pick up someone in case his season is put with rice in place.

00:53:05

The Eagles are 4-2. Minnesota is 3-2. The games in Minnesota, the Eagles, one-and-a-half point road favorites. The over-unders, 43-a-half. The Vikings coming off the buy week. Eagles, currently two straight losses.

00:53:22

That's very different.

00:53:23

Those are different. The Eagles reeling a little bit. It doesn't It didn't take much to make the entire Eagles, the media story lines in Philadelphia, terrible. You just want a championship, you're four and two, the sky is falling situation. You got to remember, last year, they didn't look great in the first half of the year.

00:53:45

But this is a team that can get it going.

00:53:48

The Eagles defense last week, it was no Jalen Carter, right? Correct. And that was part of the key to Skate boom.

00:53:54

Yes, it was. Three touch downs. Definitely.

00:53:56

But on the year, the Eagles 26 in rushing yards allowed. It leads to your Jordan Mason start. We have Jalen Hertz v. Carson wins, probably.

00:54:11

Yeah.

00:54:12

You're saying probably as in- Oh, no.

00:54:14

Jj McCarthy is not going to play.

00:54:15

It will be Carson Wins this week. Jj McCarthy will play. Again, this season, Carson Wince isn't going to hold the job over him. I can't imagine that world happening.

00:54:23

His ankle is just not good. I mean, there was all the... It was him talking about it yesterday about his ankle, saying the is getting there. I wouldn't say it's 100% right now. So they will wait.

00:54:35

When you say, selfishly, I want to play, but we have to be smart here, that says I'm not playing.

00:54:41

Yeah, that means the smart thing is not playing. Right.

00:54:44

So if he plays, it's like, I'm doing the dumb thing, man.

00:54:47

Yeah, I was going to say, if he had said, selfishly, I want to play, but we have to be dumb here, I would expect him on the field. Yeah. Saquon Barkley just averaging 52 yards rushing per game, third fewest rushing yards per game by a reigning rushing leader since the merger. So the big concern in the offseason, which, look, it was a terrible and scary thing to utter when you have a season like that, was the cumulative effect of 400 plus opportunities on the way to a Super Bowl, statistically speaking, doesn't lend itself towards a huge season the next year. That's a tough, unrepeatable career-making season. It's a hard thing to do. It doesn't mean he can't get it going. It doesn't mean that you can't cruise into the playoffs. But right now, it's not been a good ride for Saquon, and are you adjusting him tier-wise in your mind when he comes to traits?

00:55:36

Tier-wise from where you drafted him- Would you rather James Cook? No, I don't think so. I would still be on the Saquon side, but I would certainly be on the Jonathan Taylor side. In draft day, everyone took Saquon well ahead of Jonathan Taylor, and that adjustment has been made. But I still believe he hasn't looked bad, and that's the difference. Sometimes You watch these players after these massive workload years, and they fall off. They don't break tackles. They don't look great. The last two weeks, five yards of carry, 4. 8 yards of carry. He had 58 yards receiving two weeks ago. He doesn't look bad to me. Now, their offensive line isn't as strong as it was last year. They've had an injury to their guard, and the team's offense is not creative. It is hurt without Kelen Moore. But I also think this is a, obviously, is a well-coached team from the top. They have been in the Super Bowl two of the last three years. If you look at Super Bowl odds, they're not being looked at as some bad team. So I'm not concerned with Saquan as like, I think he's a running back two rest of season.

00:56:49

You're getting Saquon, but you haven't gotten a big play yet. His long on the ground this year was this past week at 18 yards.

00:56:58

But he had six of those last year, six 40 plus yard touch downs or something like that?

00:57:03

He doesn't have a 20-yard run yet.

00:57:05

Yeah, that's the difference. And those are hard to repeat. They just are. Mike, any thoughts on Justin Jefferson?

00:57:11

I like him a lot. I like that he's on Oh, I'm muted.

00:57:16

Oh, what happened? Mike, where'd you go? Help me. Oh, I'm standing on your mic.

00:57:23

Oh, Jason. We're looking over to the producers and Al just points right at Jason.

00:57:29

You put your mute button in my range. You want to talk about your stupid Justin Jefferson. Jeremy, we got to talk about our friendship after the show because it's on the night.

00:57:38

We do, too, Jeremy.

00:57:39

New best friends?

00:57:41

We are great friends.

00:57:43

Who's FaceTiming each other?

00:57:46

Tune in Monday to the spitball.

00:57:48

The thing we went after Jefferson because... I mean, number one, he's Justin Jefferson. Of course, you want him on your team, but it's the rest of season, wide receiver schedule is, number one is Minnesota. Oh, gosh. How do you like that? It was an aggressive play. Well, Jason didn't think it was aggressive. I felt it was, to go after not just a great player, but go after a schedule run here at the end.

00:58:16

A cakewalk of a playoff schedule.

00:58:18

Yeah.

00:58:19

Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Perfect. Perfect. He's happy. Jason's happy.

00:58:26

You knew I was going to go in at some point.

00:58:28

I didn't think you would be to acquire the best wide receiver in football with a second rounder. I mean, it's rare. Also, talk about- Usually when those grab in our league, usually when those grab a player of that caliber, it's because they're in. It's a Malik Nabors. It's like you don't get them.

00:58:46

No, those are for a four.

00:58:48

Yeah. Maybe you got to learn how to treat.

00:58:50

I guess so, man.

00:58:51

Yeah, Jibrish shouldn't get them every day for a four, straight up. But you do have T. J. Hawkinson now. T. J.

00:58:59

Hawkinson- Oh, did we make Make a trade?

00:59:00

Just one target inside the 10 this year. T. J. Hawkinson.

00:59:04

I see here, Jefferson and I raise you a T.

00:59:07

J. Hawkinson. I got to make moves. If you're over here getting Justin Jefferson. Oh, yeah.

00:59:12

Viking for Viking.

00:59:13

Yeah. You want to What? T. J. Hawkinson's target is going to go way up when Jefferson goes down.

00:59:18

Oh, come on now. Watch out. Be careful. Now he's fighting with injuries. Let's not do that. We like Jefferson. You play him. A. J. Brown, Devante Smith. The target share has been amazing for A. J. Brown. I still think it's going to work out fine.

00:59:32

I do, too. I think A. J. Brown is someone to trade for. It's been horrifically bad. He may have already been traded in your league, and I still think it might be worth going after him.

00:59:45

Really tough match up this week. The Vikings, they are number one on fewest fantasy points given up to the wide receiver position, including number one if you adjust for schedule and who they've played. So it doesn't It doesn't look like... The Vikings are more of a run funnel. It seems more like a Saquon game than A. J. Brown or Devante Smith. Not that you're not going to play those guys. Devante Smith is probably on the bubble where you're looking at your other options and you say, okay, with Josh Downs, if he doesn't play, would I go Pitman or Devante Smith? I'd probably go Pitman without Downs. I agree.

01:00:23

What about freaking Dallas Godert?

01:00:25

I was going to say the two weirdest tight ends on the season are Dalton Kincaid and Dallas Godert because they are players that keep performing that no one believes in. Godert has been the number one tight in two of three weeks. It's not like the week he didn't do that. He still scored 9. 4 points. His last three weeks have been- To be honest, which we've talked about the touch downs bailing him out, or not bailing him out, but amplifying what he's done, he has had seven or more targets, which is an outstanding number for a tight end in three of his five games played. Which is a product... I mean, we have a different offensive system and coordinator. Maybe this is more something to buy into is all I'm saying.

01:01:06

Yeah, I don't mind that at all. I was kicking myself last week because I almost picked him up and started him in efforts, but he played early in the week, and I lost out on his massive game.

01:01:18

Carolina, 3-3, New York, 0-6. The Jets. The Jets? The Jets. Did I put an S in there?

01:01:26

No, you put an extra T.

01:01:27

A Jets.

01:01:28

Yeah.

01:01:29

Like Jester.

01:01:30

Like Justin. Like, Jettison.

01:01:32

Like, 0-6 and lost their best offensive player in Gary Wilson.

01:01:37

And they have you right where they want you. Not believing.

01:01:41

I don't believe. They are only one and a half point home Home Underdogs to Carolina.

01:01:46

Home Underdogs to Carolina.

01:01:48

They opened as favorites, so that has moved.

01:01:51

Yeah, maybe the knowledge that Josh Reynolds would also miss their only productive wide receiver from last week at all that caught a couple of passes. I mean, you didn't even have Alan Lazard play last week. Aaron Smith, rookie, doesn't matter.

01:02:06

Alan Lazard did not play. It was personal.

01:02:10

Oh, that's right. Yeah, it wasn't an injury, but he didn't play. So no, no, Gareth Wilson, no, Josh Reynolds. Brees Hall is tweeting free 20. He may get traded at some point soon.

01:02:23

Could.

01:02:23

Mason Taylor, that's the one guy you can take the shot on.

01:02:28

Mason Taylor is going to a lot of targets. I have seen the comments upon the incredible social media post of me saying weird things about Mason Taylor that I didn't actually say.

01:02:43

By our own team.

01:02:44

Yes, by our own team. And I mean, the comments, shockingly very negative for a team that put up the game they put up last week. But that was last week. This is a much different situation. Justin Fields, for how awful he can be, he can also be excellent and complete a bunch of passes.

01:03:02

The previous week, 12 targets, nine catches, 67 yards for Mason Taylor, five for 65 the week before with a 27-yard catch. Still hasn't gotten into the end zone. That's always possible for a tight end.

01:03:13

Well, that's a dog zone.

01:03:14

Okay.

01:03:16

So I don't know if Mason's allowed.

01:03:18

Yeah, Mielson?

01:03:19

Yeah.

01:03:20

Yeah. He may be the perfect start. Oh, we're back. You never know. Rico Doudal, please play him. You got to. Keep doing it. Teteroa McMillan, play him.

01:03:32

Man, I still worry. You have some doubt, Doul? If Chuba is active, I'm going to take a look at who I have on my roster.

01:03:39

Oh, my gosh.

01:03:40

I mean, if Rico Doudal ends up with 50% of the work, This is a good defense you're playing against. The Jets' only chance in this game-Let's not call it that.

01:03:50

It will be malpracticed. It should be.

01:03:52

It is a defense.

01:03:53

Malpracticed?

01:03:54

No. I'm not doing puns right now. I'm saying it will be malpracticed by the Carolina Panthers to not give Rico another go.

01:04:04

There is a big gap between 30 and 31 points, which is what he's done, to irrelevance.

01:04:11

Almost 400 rushing yards the past two weeks.

01:04:13

I would bet you... Okay, I'll make you a bet. I'll bet you 12 fantasy points or more. Rico Dauertal. I'll bet you $100.

01:04:22

Half PPR?

01:04:23

Yes, half PPR.

01:04:25

Yeah, the only format.

01:04:26

Yeah, thank you, Mike. It needs to be said. We haven't said it enough. That's only if Chuba is playing. No, I mean, obviously, if Chuba is not playing, I love Rico this week.

01:04:37

Yeah, sure. If Chuba is playing. All right.

01:04:39

I'll take less than 12. 5.

01:04:42

Okay.

01:04:45

I set the line at 12. That's the bet.

01:04:48

Well, I won't take that. Okay.

01:04:49

All right. If you want to go with 12. 5, I'll take less. There's a true mea-al right there. All right, Ted McMillan, you can play it?

01:04:56

Yeah.

01:04:56

Justin Fields is the roll the dice and find out. Do you get Number 3, number 6, number 8, or number 35, number 30? I mean, look- Carolina is a team you could play it.

01:05:07

Yeah, the matchup is not scary, but the fact that- No wide receivers. Yeah. Once Garrett Wilson is back, then I will be comfortable playing fields.

01:05:17

I'm going to go bench. I'm going to go bench. Yeah.

01:05:20

I'm deciding between my every week is Bo Nicks or Justin Fields. This will be Bo Nicks.

01:05:26

It feels like Justin Fields in this game is going to have 80 rushing yards and a bad fantasy game, which is darn near impossible.

01:05:33

Yeah, that is the other side of just he goes old Chicago bears, Justin Fields. Because he doesn't have people to throw to. Yeah, and he gets over 100 rushing yards.

01:05:42

Brees Hall, how about we throw him the ball one time?

01:05:44

Brees is going to get a ton of targets in this game. He's going to get all the workload. He'll be focused on by the defense, but I think Brees Hall is a great play this week. Yeah.

01:05:52

All right. That was fantasy Forecast, presented by Prizepicks. Mix and match players from football, basketball, and baseball.
