Good morning, girlies, it's The Toast. It's Jax and Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know.

00:00:18

We'll start your day off swirly, it's The Toast.

00:00:23

I sound amazing.

00:00:25

Welcome back to The Toast and happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday because it is the To the start of something new. That's right, fall is here, the Toast returns, summer break ends, and Jax and Claude are back in their bicoastal transatlantic pink frame setup. Hey Jax, how you doin'?

00:00:39

I'm doin' amazing. I seriously missed the Toast so much.

00:00:44

I did too, but more specifically, like, I missed this Toast.

00:00:47

I missed— let me get specific. I missed this Toast. I missed this chair. I missed this set. I missed the swirly vibes. I love swirly summer, but Sayonara, Swirly Summer. Like, seriously, sayonara. Hello, Pargy Fall.

00:01:02

See you never, Swirly Summer. Hello, Pargy Fall. We have so much to discuss.

00:01:07

I'm bursting. I do not know how people watch television and don't have a podcast. I know. You guys are the heroes.

00:01:13

I feel like they talk about it with their friends.

00:01:14

You just keep your opinions to yourself?

00:01:16

No, I think they like make TikToks and perhaps chat with friends both IRL and digitally.

00:01:22

Yeah, but I'm talking about the people who don't make TikToks because they are— they have that outlet.

00:01:25

Like, we need a place to share their thoughts. We haven't even— and just, this goes without saying, if you're a member of the DTQ, like, we will see you tomorrow. Like, like, DTFN, ta-ta for now. Um, we haven't even discussed, like, offline, what are we talking about today? If you're looking for, like, in-depth analysis on Hayden Panettiere, Dolly Parton, all, like, the big news that happened over the course, uh, my recap of Devil Wears Prada 2, we did 2 pop culture episodes on our Patreon.

00:01:49

John Galliano, if you really want to know our thoughts on John Galliano.

00:01:51

And we did good John Galliano content.

00:01:54

We did, we did really good. That's on Patreon. There are only a couple of subjects that we will be talking about again today.

00:02:00

Megxit returns, of course.

00:02:01

Megxit, you guys, I don't care. Actually, I, I did say it would be the first story no matter what happened in the world, but Alex Earle is the first story. Of course she is. And Megxit is the second story. I'll tell you what the stories are just to like tease everyone.

00:02:15

Yeah, I know we have Dancing with the Stars. That's something we haven't covered yet.

00:02:18

Yes, Dancing with the Stars cast, this Elizabeth Holmes documentary that just like broke the internet yesterday. Everybody cares so much, so I felt like we had to.

00:02:25

You can skip that one if there's something else.

00:02:27

Then, um, Love Island reunion, we must discuss.

00:02:30

Oh, gotta watch.

00:02:32

And KJ Biermann and his sodomy charges.

00:02:35

So I wanted to make sure that Biermanns were on the docket because while we are the official Meghan and Harry Watchdog Podcast, for many years we were the Biermann-Zolciak Watchdog Podcast, and I have a lot to say, so I'm glad that we have that. And then also Dancing with the Stars.

00:02:49

We have Dancing with the Stars. Yeah, but you said that, so, um, were covered. And then also anything else that comes up along the way. Like, it's a loose Fast Five. It's really just like everything that we need to discuss, the major things.

00:03:01

Where does Alex Earle like fall into the Fast Five? Number one story. Oh, okay, okay.

00:03:05

Earle Meets World recap, everything that has happened with Alex Earle since we last spoke is our number one story. She's the number one girl of the moment.

00:03:13

That was probably the hardest part of break, was there being so much Alex Earle news when I consider myself the official Alex Earle watchdog. Influencer.

00:03:20

However, the show came out on Friday, so like we would only be talking about it today anyway, and it gave us enough time to watch. So, but like the name on everybody's lips is Alix Earle.

00:03:30

And it's kind of like a divisive, polarizing show. Like people are really split about it.

00:03:35

So I've been trying to see what other people think about the show. There's not a lot of places for me to do that since I'm not on TikTok, so I just have to sort of like wait for it to come my way on Reels.

00:03:44

She's so beloved And I love the show, but like, she's so beloved on TikTok, people being like, give me season 2 now. And it's like, I'm actually looking for like critical, um, like thought. I want to hear what people actually think, not just like blind loyalty. And I feel like I've actually gotten quite a bit of that.

00:03:59

I, I want to save my thoughts because I think we feel like a little bit differently.

00:04:04

I will discuss it with you in the first story. How about that?

00:04:07

Okay, that's gonna be really hard. But in the meantime, what's going on with you, Turtle Moon?

00:04:13

Back in the city. Summer in the Hamptons is over. I'm so back, ready to get back into my routine, you know, like drinking my water and going to work. It's good for the soul.

00:04:22

Yes. Yes, it is.

00:04:23

I was not drinking my water in the Hamptons.

00:04:25

I, I was doing pretty good, but I, I crave routine. I love doing this show and I, I really missed everyone and everything. And it starts to get like a little worrisome when you're not working for a while. I'm like, well, of course. And I also like, I'm in a new house. I've got bills. I'm like, Bitch, get back to work.

00:04:43

Yeah, I agree. Whenever we go on break, a time comes where I do need to start generating revenue. Um, and I did a little TikTok get ready with me, so apologies if you've seen me already talking about this on TikTok because I'm so big on TikTok. Um, I do like going on break for multiple reasons. Obviously, you know, not having to set an alarm even though I wake up at 6 every day is ideal. Um, but I do feel like sometimes we get too points where it's like we're on the verge of getting like stale. And people like— I can always sense in the comments like when shit turns snarky, I'm like, you know what, I need everyone to miss me a little bit. I feel like I was getting a lot of hate in Swirly Summer. Maybe it was because I just looked so ugly.

00:05:18

Yeah.

00:05:18

Um, that it's like easy to hate an ugly person, of course, even though I would have loved some like sympathy. Um, now that I'm back to being gorgeous, like I'm ready for people to start liking me again.

00:05:26

Yes. Yeah, you do reach a point of like potential burnout, so always good to have time off. But now like I do feel sufficiently ready. And yes, I shared this on the Patreon, but I guess if you're not a patron, you're like, a new house? What? I moved over the break. I am in a new house. I'm so excited. So that's really what I've been doing the last 2 weeks. And so even though we've been on break from work, honestly, the break couldn't have come at a better time because I don't know how I could have like done everything.

00:05:50

Done all of it.

00:05:51

Yeah. And working. So I have just been like tirelessly working on the new house decorating, unpacking everything. It's been so much fun. It's like It's so exciting. Change is so exciting.

00:06:02

Uh, couldn't agree less.

00:06:03

I know, I know, but I'm excited to like share more like house stuff and everything, but I've just been getting everything in order.

00:06:11

In order. Yeah, we needed the break. I know everyone was really upset, which I loved, loved, loved to see people just like having miserable time without us. Um, but we needed the break for the mind, body, soul. Yeah, she needed to move. Yeah, I needed to lay down like We had to do what we had to do.

00:06:25

We had to do what we had to do, but now we're back. And just something that's going on with me that I, I, I wanna share with everyone also because I'm asking for medical advice is I have had teary eyes for the last 2 weeks since I got back to Florida. Like, and you'll see the whole episode, I'm gonna be wiping tears from my eye. I'm not upset.

00:06:43

She's obviously emotional.

00:06:44

Yeah. I'm not upset. I have constant watery, teary eyes. I've tried eye drops. I thought it was allergies. I tried Zyrtec, which made me feel like shit, so I'm not taking that anymore.

00:06:54

And have you tried a doctor?

00:06:56

No. That's next.

00:06:57

Okay.

00:06:57

That's what we're taking to podcast. That will be next, like an optometrist. But people say like, it might be like the dry conditions here. I don't know what it is. It's so inconvenient all day. And now I have like dryness under my eye from constantly this and my makeup's a little blotchy and I'm sort of like going through it physically.

00:07:14

Sometimes I get that with one nostril. Like it just leaks all day. It's so fucking annoying.

00:07:17

Yeah, but that would be, you know, you have a runny nose.

00:07:21

What is it with— Yeah, but it's only one nostril.

00:07:22

What is it with— no, it's both eyes, but one is definitely worse. What does a runny eye entail? And sometimes that could be sick, but it's not sick. I don't know.

00:07:31

Maybe it's a physical manifestation of how much you miss me.

00:07:34

It is. Or someone suggested to me, like, it could be like my repressed emotions.

00:07:40

Oh my God. I think the type of doctor you need to go to is a psychologist.

00:07:43

A therapist.

00:07:44

Yeah. Therapy to fix my eye. Work through that.

00:07:47

No, I'm— I, I— maybe you can make that case at another point in time, but like, I'm thrilled to bits. The toast.

00:07:53

Maybe it's your new house. Maybe like the—

00:07:55

I thought, oh, so first that was my first theory. Like the paint. I'm allergic to my new house, the paint and the fumes and the dust. I got air purifiers in every room. We had HVAC come out and ChatGPT said to me like, if you spend a few hours outside of the house and it's like better in those hours, then it's the house. And it's not better in those hours, so it's not the house. I'm not allergic to my house, thankfully.

00:08:14

ChatGPT is like really taking over. I went into a bakery. Yeah, that's right. 'Cause they had frozen yogurt and they had like all these menus. It's a new bakery, so like they had like lots of signage and like you could just tell it was all made on ChatGPT. Like it has that ChatGPT quality.

00:08:28

Everything does. Every flyer.

00:08:30

Yeah, it's so cheap. Like it kind of makes me like never wanna use Chat again. Everything's imitation.

00:08:35

Everything is like so clearly Chat. I actually feel like you could tell I had a good summer because like I didn't really use ChatGPT a lot.

00:08:43

Oh, wow.

00:08:44

Like in the spring, in the spring I was chatting with Chat every minute of every day, just like a million questions. And I feel like it's like sort of like I've left my therapist. Like I just didn't really need you.

00:08:55

And by the way, speaking of— Speaking of something. We haven't even discussed the new year is upon us, my sister.

00:09:03

Rosh Hashanah.

00:09:04

And—

00:09:05

Yom Kippur.

00:09:07

Yes. So as you guys know, and thankfully this worked out really nicely for the Toasters, Rosh Hashanah is this week. It's actually this weekend. So there's no days off from the Toast. Don't worry. It's literally Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And then Yom Kippur is a short, like 10 days later. So just know, like, while you guys are out here living your best life, like we are suffering. Yeah.

00:09:24

But first we celebrate the new year, the Jewish New Year's, Rosh Hashanah. Shanna, that's this weekend really snuck up on us.

00:09:30

But it's kind of the perfect time because today does feel like a new year, like a Jan 1. Everyone's back at work, the summer's over, like we're transitioning to fall. I'm wearing my cashmere pants even though it's 80 degrees outside. It does have that new year, new me resolutionary vibe.

00:09:44

Yes, it really does. What are your resolutions?

00:09:48

Such a good question. And as you know, I don't really believe in resolutions because I'm constantly working on myself and I don't need like I completely agree.

00:09:54

It's not like I lay dormant. It's not like my issues lay dormant and I let them fester till January.

00:09:59

If I'm being serious, for the Jewish New Year, I feel that, as you guys know, for the last— I haven't even really bragged about it, and I think that I should. Like, I've become like a little bit more, you know, observant. I've stopped using my phone on the Sabbath, and I've really been enjoying it. I'd like to continue in that upward direction, you know, maybe take on some new observances. You know, that's beautiful. Yeah, um, always just walking hand in hand with the Lord.

00:10:27

Yeah, that's beautiful.

00:10:29

That's one of my resolutions. What about you?

00:10:30

That's beautiful, Codrielle. Um, what would be my res— I guess different from a Jan 1 resolution, I would say.

00:10:39

Yeah, Jan 1 is like more mindful wellness, where I feel that like spiritually in the inner work can start on the Jewish New Year.

00:10:46

You know what, this was something I felt before the summer, and I feel like it'll come back now that I'm home because like just summer scheduling was different, but it's just like this, this wanting to feel present in my— like, I feel like, like, just everything is flying by.

00:10:59

I know.

00:10:59

And like, you just gotta— it's slipping. Like, you just wanna hold onto it.

00:11:02

Slipping through my fingers all the time.

00:11:04

And actually something that I was thinking about doing that, um, then I saw Liz Woods actually said the same thing. So like, it's obviously a very like real feeling of just like wanting to remember all of this and like, enjoy it and, and process it is journaling.

00:11:22

Okay.

00:11:22

I think that if I started journaling and just like at the end of the day or every few days, just like wrote down like what happened, little milestones that were reached by the kids and just like how I felt and what we're doing. Like I feel like it would help me like process within myself that these things happened today.

00:11:36

So I'm actually gonna send you a link because I got this baby book that somebody recommended. I wasn't sure what a baby book was and what showed up. First of all, it's so cute. Like the outside, it has like whatever the name and it's all stitched. And then inside it's like literally a journal and I didn't realize it's like the first 5 years. So you're supposed to, I just thought it was supposed to be like pictures and the sonogram and just like of a baby. Um, and I started to fill it out and honestly the questions were so in-depth. I was seriously like skipping them. They were like, and my mom felt blank. And I don't know, like, yeah.

00:12:03

Like that's too much.

00:12:04

No, no, no. But it's not, it actually sounds exactly like what you need cuz it's like year 1, year 2, year 3, year 4. And it's just like things that you wanna remember and you could put pictures. It's really sweet. But it's like, seriously, for somebody who has so much time, like I closed it on page 3. I'm like, at first it was like birth weight. Okay. £7, 2 ounces.

00:12:19

Yeah.

00:12:21

Then they were asking me like, and the first time I ate a snack, I was like, I don't know. I don't know.

00:12:27

Okay. I'll check it out. But maybe not that, but just like something to just feel like, not like floating, like, you know, through life.

00:12:35

Grounded. And I just— Sounds like you need to meditate.

00:12:38

I don't, I guess it's a similar thing, but I feel like just for me, I'm, I'm more of a writer. Like I'm, I, I think I would enjoy the process of writing.

00:12:45

Would you say you're a writer girl?

00:12:48

No, no, I wouldn't, because I think that that connotes, you know, that that's your profession.

00:12:54

And of course she had a ghostwriter.

00:12:56

Oh, God.

00:12:58

I actually don't think Carol Radswell has a ghostwriter, if anyone was wondering, like, my take on the situation.

00:13:02

Yeah, no, I don't either. So anyways, I think just like working on being present, and I think journaling is just like an easy fix for that. Like, very— you don't have to—

00:13:08

I'm sorry.

00:13:09

Think too hard.

00:13:09

I can't.

00:13:10

But I know you're so—

00:13:11

I can't podcast and like own a business with somebody who journals. Sorry. And that's not like a threat or like a negative thing to people who do journal. Um, as you guys know, like, it's—

00:13:20

I actually think if anybody in the world needs to journal, it's you.

00:13:24

Really?

00:13:25

Yeah. Like, you can't—

00:13:25

I actually disagree.

00:13:27

Anything?

00:13:28

Oh sure, for the memory of it all, for sure. But I think that like it's an expression of feelings, and I feel as though I'm extremely expressive. Like, I have many outlets to express. Of course, my podcast. I have many like important relationships in my life where I feel comfortable to share. Oh no, it's not those emotions.

00:13:41

It's not about expression of feelings. It's about like—

00:13:45

Yours is more of like a time capsule.

00:13:50

Yes, yes, but also like an in-the-moment. Like, I think just writing it down, even if I never read it, just writing it down will make it like—

00:13:57

Except journals are like often admissible in court. Do you know what I mean?

00:14:02

Like Lindsay Clancy's notes.

00:14:04

Did she have notes? And then they were just talking about Fauci's journal. Like, it's humiliating. Like, those are your innermost thoughts, and for some reason they're like allowed to be used as evidence. And to No, that's reason enough for me to just not be present in my own life, right?

00:14:18

I'm not doing it.

00:14:19

It's like a physical— like, no, it's my brain. Fuck off. Honestly, it should be a protected class.

00:14:24

Like, you should not be allowed to read someone's journal in a trial unless the person— Unless the person submits it. Like, here, read my journal.

00:14:32

Yes.

00:14:32

Maybe that's what was happening.

00:14:33

Prove my state of mind. No, like, I often find that journals are like being discussed in media in regards to like high-profile cases. Nightmare fuel.

00:14:41

Nightmare fuel.

00:14:43

So no, I will not be journaling. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

00:14:45

I'm off the idea.

00:14:47

TV is about to like ramp up. I think Roni is this week. I don't— I'm not gonna watch it because anytime I've like gotten caught up in the new Roni, I like regret it. If there's a lot of chatter about it, I will pick it back up. Um, Dancing with the Stars.

00:15:02

Yes.

00:15:03

So I'm just— I'm excited to get back into my TV routine as well. Like my nights mean so much to me now. Do you know what I mean? Like, when the other night Ben, like, took a 2-hour phone call at 8 o'clock and he gets in bed, I'm like, you don't understand. If we don't have our nights, we don't have anything. Like, our nights are our shared time, our alone time. And yes, we just, like, watch TV, but, like, we're cracking up. We're communicating through the TV.

00:15:25

Like— So would you say, like, all day you're looking forward to cracking up?

00:15:31

No. I would say all day, like, I am cracking up.

00:15:33

Oh. But you say that at night you crack up.

00:15:36

Another thing going on in media that I just want to like put my, um, like stick my flag in. I just want everyone to know like I am watching the US Open pretty much all day every day. I know everything that's going on. I really am obsessed with it. Are you familiar with like the discourse going on about the influencers?

00:15:50

I heard about it. They were like with ring lights and—

00:15:53

Yeah, and so I feel that there's a discussion to be had about like the behavior at the US Open and it's all being pinned on the influencers, which is not fair because people You know, New Yorkers, it's like tennis is a very international sport. So yeah, Wimbledon is like very classy. It's a quiet sport. We're American. It's just like, that's kind of anti-American. It's anti-American. So I think that like a lot of the rowdiness, especially like it's a Gray Goose sponsored event. They say that like over a million Honey Deuces get drank this entire tournament. So it's like, I think Americans are just having a hard time adjusting to the tennis culture and they're like pinning, and we can have a conversation about that. They're pinning it all on the influencers. It's like really sad. I don't think it's all their fault.

00:16:29

Influencers.

00:16:30

I don't think it's all their fault. And of course, like, I saw the girl with the ring light.

00:16:34

Well, maybe that's like the price of free tickets, you know, because everybody else there has paid for their ticket. And like, sure, you get to go for free, but we're— everyone's gonna—

00:16:41

if anything goes wrong, it's your fault.

00:16:43

I think that's like a fair trade.

00:16:46

If anyone wants to know who I'm rooting for, like, just in general, Tommy Paul. No, he just got out.

00:16:52

Oh, he did?

00:16:53

Yeah, he played Alcaraz, which is just like not fair.

00:16:55

I saw a couple of really good points from him, like on reels and stuff.

00:16:59

Yeah, no, he played great. He should be really proud of himself. Paige looked amazing. I was tuning in mostly for her. Um, and he lost to Alcaraz. Like, there's no shame in losing to the best player in the world, literally. Um, for the men, I'm rooting for Ben Shelton, my boyfriend. Oh, and I just found out such an interesting fact. He has a girlfriend and they like can't get over it because he's like this young hot thing. They show her the entire time, and of course she's like a very accomplished women's soccer player. And then I found out her name is Trinity Rodman. Do you know who her dad is?

00:17:23

Yeah, Dennis Rodman's daughter.

00:17:25

You knew that?

00:17:26

Yeah.

00:17:27

Oh, I didn't know that. So like nepo, but like not really. She says like they do not have a good relationship.

00:17:31

Um, that's not—

00:17:32

so I want— sorry, I want Ben Shelton to win, I just want to say. And I also found out that like the number 1 player in the world, Zverev, um, like he beats up his girlfriend all the time. So, and the Tennis Association like won't do anything about it. So obviously not rooting for him. And actually in protest last night I watched a women's match and then I turned off. Like, I wanted them to know, like, you lost my rating.

00:17:51

Yeah, they definitely saw that.

00:17:51

When you put woman beaters on there.

00:17:53

Nielsen made a note.

00:17:54

And then for the women, I'm rooting for Jess Pegula.

00:18:01

Me too.

00:18:02

Her parents own the Buffalo Bills. Like, she's a billionaire and she could have just like coasted because if that's me, like, I'm not doing anything. Like, obviously. No. And she's like decided to do something that's like a meritocracy. Like, you have to be the best. You can't like nepo your way. Obviously, she grew up with great coaches or whatever. And I just think that's cool. I think Coco Gauff will win, but I'm happy for Jessica Gullo if she does too. So yeah, I'm just like, I'm so not like other girls. I know everything about sports. And if you wanna talk about the US Open, like, just know I'm available.

00:18:30

That's great. Speaking of sports, we went to the Marlins game yesterday.

00:18:33

I saw.

00:18:35

The Marlins played the Mets, so it felt like the one we should go to. The whole family was like split, but we were also rooting for both, you know, like Mets shirts, Marlins hats.

00:18:42

But you were wearing Mets. I'm sorry. You can't, like you have to be wearing New York.

00:18:47

Well, we wore all the Mets gear that we owned and then we needed more gear and there was only Marlins gear to buy.

00:18:53

Oh, right.

00:18:53

Okay.

00:18:53

That's fair. That's fair.

00:18:54

So we bought Marlins gear. We really like were rooting for both. You know, I was happy anytime someone scored. It was really amazing. The Miami Marlins stadium is indoors and air conditioned.

00:19:05

Heavenly.

00:19:06

Heavenly. Air conditioned. It was cold. It was chilly.

00:19:09

Jackie, you need to go to a Savannah Bananas game. Like, I think that your family would love that.

00:19:13

But aren't they in Savannah?

00:19:16

No, they travel. Like, they play other teams.

00:19:17

Oh, so when they play like the minor league Florida team?

00:19:19

Yeah. Yeah, we should. You should go.

00:19:22

Do they do their bananas thing when they travel?

00:19:25

That's a good question.

00:19:26

Do they, does it, do the other like stadiums have the acoustics and whatnot?

00:19:30

Actually, I'm not sure about that.

00:19:32

Ballpark.

00:19:32

I think so. I think so.

00:19:34

Well, it was our first time taking the kids to a major league basketball, baseball game and it was amazing.

00:19:40

I'm sure.

00:19:41

And they had kosher hot dogs.

00:19:43

So cute.

00:19:44

It was allies. Yeah, they— it was so much allyship.

00:19:48

Yeah, allyship, allyship.

00:19:50

Um, and then the Mets, like Mike Piazza wasn't there unfortunately. He was not playing.

00:19:56

Mike Piazza. But better soon.

00:19:58

I think there are actually more Mets fans than Marlins fans in the stadium, honestly. Yeah, of course.

00:20:02

So many. It's all transplants.

00:20:03

It really is. But it was, it was a great day. Go Marlins!

00:20:07

A baseball game is a nice way to spend the day, especially in an air-conditioned stadium.

00:20:11

And it's cute that they're Miami Marlins and the Miami Dolphins, you know?

00:20:16

Why?

00:20:17

Because they're both fish.

00:20:21

And then what about the Panthers? They're, they're not involved?

00:20:25

No, they're not. The, the Florida Sharks? No, more marine life.

00:20:30

Yeah, that's cute. I don't know, Marlins? Just like not giving cool.

00:20:35

Yeah, they have some work to do in like the cool department.

00:20:39

Don't you find? Like Marlon.

00:20:41

And also like if you saw in the merch shop, like it's a mess. Like the branding is a mess.

00:20:47

Yeah, that's where I feel like you're— They don't know what their colors are. 'Cause every other team, they always do like, they do like Kith collabs and Ralph Lauren. Like all their merch is like sick.

00:20:54

No, and like they have so many different logos and colors and like the Marlins color like should be that teal color. And they sort of like strayed away from that. They have like a lot of like, like 305, like, like pink and black. Like they don't know what they're doing.

00:21:08

I hate pink and black as a color combo.

00:21:10

No, me too. They need to bring in a branding expert. Other than that, we had an amazing time.

00:21:15

That's great.

00:21:16

At Loan Depot Park.

00:21:17

Loan Depot? Or Home Depot?

00:21:20

Loan Depot.

00:21:22

L-O-A-N. Oh, like a bank?

00:21:24

Yeah, where you could, a depot for loans.

00:21:26

It's giving like Crypto.com Arena. Some of these names are terrible.

00:21:29

It is honestly, Loan Depot Park makes Crypto.com Arena Arena, it sounds normal.

00:21:33

Well, what's weird is that like when they came up with Crypto.org Arena, we were all like, what the heck is going on? Now it's like not that crazy.

00:21:41

No, I'm going to Crypto Arena. Like, that's not weird. Loan Depot is weird.

00:21:44

It's just weird when it replaces like a legacy store. It was the Staples Center. Like it's been in every movie. Like it's not going to catch on. But also like, does Staples have any money?

00:21:54

No, it's a sign of the times.

00:21:56

It is like Staples in-store shopping for school supplies. going over to crypto.

00:22:01

Yeah.

00:22:02

Now I think we should dive in.

00:22:03

We have so much— I know, I know. I can only not talk about Alex Garland for so long.

00:22:06

I know, but I can dilly-dally with you all day long.

00:22:08

Of course. And we have literally all day, every day to dilly-dally, like, because the other dilly-dallying is over. You know what I mean?

00:22:15

Exactly.

00:22:16

Let's dive into Earl Meets World.

00:28:42

Earl Meets World, 8-episode series dropped on Friday. Alex Earle is sharing her family, Her feuds, her friends.

00:28:53

So let's talk about it in stages. I want to talk about the show, and then of course we have to talk about like Alex Cooper bits and bobs. Yeah, so the show was really not what I expected, and overall I really enjoyed it. I love Alex, and I will say probably my biggest takeaway was that like the family and the family dynamic is actually not at all what I thought. You guys know people always say like, Claudia, stop talking about Ashley Dupree. Like, I can't. It is the craziest thing ever. And the fact that they have this blended family and that the mom is always with them, it's so beautiful. It's like not really what I thought it was. It actually makes me feel better. It's like a little bit more human because no, there's a lot of weird dynamics under the surface and on the surface. And even watching, I feel like they probably noticed things that maybe they didn't. They have said that like the show was actually really good for their family communication. Because they're forced to—

00:29:37

like that conversation that Alex and Ashley had in Aspen, they would have never had if there weren't cameras, and they would have just like swept it under the rug and like kept on moving forward.

00:29:47

Yeah, and I just feel like my opinion on a lot of people before and after the show is so different. Like Ashley, I actually think for me, and I've seen mixed reviews, like her Q score went up for me.

00:29:57

Yeah.

00:29:58

Obviously, like, we had— what she did was bad. Like, we can't even— whatever. But like hearing her talk about it, just like being a young girl trying to— like, you could— it humanized it a little bit. Um, and I think that she's like ate a lot of shit for many years. And then also my opinion of her dad is like He's not who I thought he was.

00:30:13

I know you had such like high expectations for him.

00:30:17

I thought he was like this real like protector and real genius, and like the second he swooped in to start managing her, things got better. But she said on the show, and then she clarified again on TikTok, that like he has managed her the whole time. So he was involved in the Alex Cooper deal, and I've always thought that like whoever encouraged her to do the Alex Cooper deal, like seriously is not smart. And it turns out that was him. Um, so he— and then he made like a lot of like weird comments about like buying her boobs and seeing the girls' nude photos, and he's obviously just like kind of like like weird, like Jersey dad. Like, I don't know, he's just not at all what I thought he was.

00:30:48

He's not the man you thought he was. No. And maybe I put too much pressure on him, but like, you did.

00:30:52

I just feel like my opinion— and even Alex, like, I feel like I only know her from TikTok and social media, and she's like so, as far as it looks to me, like out there, right? Like almost extroverted, and she's like snarky, and she does like fun content and party. And the girl we saw on the show was like so emotional and so serious and like really took her business so seriously. So I just feel like everything I thought I knew about the Earls, even the mom, I thought, Oh, the mom is so healed. The mom is so grown. No, she's just one of us.

00:31:19

No, no, she's not over it. So I think my expectations going in were like a little bit different cuz I only follow Alex on Instagram and she doesn't share as much as she does on TikTok. So who she was on the show was like really who I thought she was. And I just wanna say, I thought the show was amazing. Amazing. And I watch a lot of reality TV. In fact, it's like the only thing I watch these days. And it, it has started to feel like we've gotten to a place where people like don't know how to make reality TV anymore. Mm-hmm. Every show like starts and stops and doesn't do what it's supposed to do. And I thought this show was so great because it was like Alex and her family are just living their life and there's cameras.

00:31:57

Yeah.

00:31:57

Like they're going to Aspen regardless if there's cameras or not. They're going to Wellington for Penelope's show. Like they're just, they do so many things. She's at a stage in her life where she's like ripe for a reality show because they're just so busy. And I feel like sometimes when people are like parents or whatever, like you're home all day. There's not, we're not going out. And if we are, we're doing it like for the show. And what's funny is she actually went on Therapist and she said, she was like, for the next season, I actually might do it differently. Like this season we just scheduled our lives and had cameras follow us. But like next season I think I might carve out 3 months and like film. And I think that would be such a mistake. That's when you get to a place of like people are going on trips for the show.

00:32:33

Mm-hmm.

00:32:33

Going out to dinner, making parties like for the show and everything just feels like a fake world. Whereas I can't remember the last time we just like followed someone with cameras and she was just doing the same thing that she would do. With or without cameras.

00:32:46

So that's so funny because I feel like one of my biggest criticisms of just the production was that like, this is a girl who is invited to seriously like only the upper echelon coolest events ever. And I feel like we didn't really see that. We kept seeing her like recapping those events, and like we saw her and Ashton go to Fashion Week and we didn't see them at one singular party or, or fashion show. And I know obviously like getting your credentials to get your camera crew to the Chanel show is not easy, but but like when they were in Paris, they just like walked through the park. Like—

00:33:15

Yes, and you said that to me. I— that was one of your criticisms like before I watched the episode. And when I watched the episode, it didn't bother me at all. You want to know why? Because Paris wasn't a whole episode. It was 15 minutes within an episode. And it's like, okay, so they showed us some of the social media content of them in Paris, and now they're in a park talking about it, and then we're moving on. Like other shows, they would make Paris a 3-episode arc. And that's what I liked about this. It's just It's like, we're moving, we're grooving, we're doing things. We're not like, it's not like the big trip to Wellington. Yeah. And like, like everything just like was very fast-paced the way that her life is. And I thought it was so enjoyable to watch cuz it felt like we're really just flies on the wall of her life.

00:33:54

Yes. It just felt a lot of the times like they were recapping like the stuff, the viral stuff, like the things we would wanna see behind the scenes. Like, take us with you.

00:34:02

Like, I would like to go, I guess. But then I saw like they went to the club in Aspen.

00:34:06

Right. And that was like, you saw that she could film there because that was, Palm Tree, and like, that's her— like, she's in business with them, so obviously like they let her film.

00:34:14

Yeah. And then I saw a girl had posted on TikTok like, I was at Alex Earle filming at Snow Lodge, I think it was. And the amount of space that a camera crew takes up is a lot.

00:34:25

Of course.

00:34:26

I don't expect that like parties and fashion shows are going to let them in. I think she did as good of a job as anyone could do, like making us feel like we are there. There were so many things that I liked about the show. And again, I think it's like different expectations because I don't know her as well as you do. But like all the Braxton stuff felt so like heartfelt.

00:34:45

By the way.

00:34:46

And so I was so surprised by her. I think the word people use for her is like, she's so authentic, she's so genuine, she's so relatable. And those things are true. But I also found her to be like so earnest.

00:34:55

Jackie, when she got her BRCA2 results and the first thing she said is like, I know you guys are gonna kill me, but like in moments like this, I just like wish I could talk to Braxton. Like I actually felt so upset for her. Like, first of all, that's such an honest thing to say. Like, and I know what she means.

00:35:09

She's so honest.

00:35:10

Like she wants like a partner. Like there's so much going on in her life, good and bad. And like, you need someone. Like, it's not that you need a man. It's like to share your life with someone, the good parts and the hard parts, is such a blessing. So to have that and then to go to not having it, like, I totally understood what she was saying. I just couldn't believe she said it out loud.

00:35:23

Even with stuff, even with Rayal, like she wanted to share her wins with him too. And so the whole show, like, and most people would not put all of that on a show because they would one, not want the other person to see it. You wanna act like you're moved on and over it and cool. And 2, like, you— it's embarrassing to like always be talking about— Of course, pining. And you think maybe it's even boring. Oh, everything that happens and I'm still talking about Braxton. I found it to just be like so earnest and honest. And I don't think most people would do that. In the final scene, which I think has everyone shook, I was shook because the amount of maturity that it took for her to just call him up. And I think it's also confidence 'cause she's so gorgeous that like, you could just call anyone and be like, I still like you. Um, but just emotional maturity to be like, I still hold out hope that we could get back together. Like, can you tell me if that's possible? And she said it like with a straight face on camera, bearing her heart and soul to the world.

00:36:22

So I agree with you, like the honesty and the confidence that it takes. But the question she was asking was actually not mature. And it really pissed me off because like you, you literally said to him like, is it, oh, are you, I don't wanna get back together right now, but is the possibility in the future basically being like, wait for me because I think he's really ready. to settle down and she's just not. And I found the question to be like really unfair to Braxton, especially after like— they didn't really show this so much in the show, but there was a lot in the press about like Alex being spotted with guys, the F1 driver, of course Tom Brady. So it's like, after putting Braxton through all of that, now you're asking like, can we get back together? But like, only when I'm ready. I'm like, not yet. I found that question actually annoying for Braxton.

00:36:59

I guess. No, but she's just like— I think for her she needs this period of growth and self-discovery. And I think for her, she hopes that once she grows into that person, like, she can be with Braxton. And it's like, you can grow into that person with Braxton. Should I? And she's just asking him, like, should I not even be thinking that? Like, I think that's just very— maybe it's not a fair question to ask, but it's real.

00:37:21

No, it's real, but it is unfair to Braxton.

00:37:24

And it's like, should I forget you, or should I be healing faster so that we can be together?

00:37:29

And by the way, I feel like the show was proof that that it's so much better to be broken up with than to be the person who broke up. Because Braxton had really no choice but to move on, and I feel like he did, and he just like picked himself up by his bootstraps. Whereas like Alex was sort of left with the questioning of like, was that the right decision? When it's out of your control, like you almost— you have no choice but to accept it. But when you were the one who did it, like you just go back over it. And honestly, I would have so much rather have been Braxton in that situation than be Alex.

00:37:54

Yes, of course. And also like, I'm really happy for Braxton because when him and Alex got together, like he was the butt of every joke for a period. Like, what kind of name is Braxton? Like, when he left Sofia Culpo and started dating Alex Earle and no one thought he was good enough for her. And like, this show is just amazing for him.

00:38:09

Yeah. Like, except like, I love that they left us on the cliffhanger of like, oh, well maybe they're together right now or whatever. Um, and then over the weekend there was like some drama that pretty much like— They're not together. No, they're not together. And like, vibes are bad because he was spotted out with this girl Maggie, who is the ex-girlfriend of the F1 driver that Alex was spotted out with in London. And she's like making snarky TikToks now, like copying Alex. Alex. Honestly, the girl—

00:38:31

Magui.

00:38:32

The girl is so pretty. I don't know her. She's obviously like a European socialite. Like, I don't know her. She's the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life. And it's weird to see somebody so cool and pretty like acting like such a loser. Like, why are you coming for Alex Earle? Like, going out with your ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's ex-boyfriend is like such a jealous, like, not cool thing to do. And she looks so cool to me.

00:38:49

But— I know, but like, what if they're actually like a good match? Because I feel like Braxton is mature. He's not just like doing petty stuff like this. And maybe like him and Magui Like, if— and it's like, if Alex likes Braxton and Alex likes Landon and Landon likes McGooey and Landon likes Alex, then Braxton will like McGooey.

00:39:05

Yeah, no, for sure. Like, that's like Shania Twain, you know, when you swap husbands.

00:39:08

Yes.

00:39:09

Um, she's so pretty. I just like need her to stop. Like, the TikTok she made copying Alex, like, I did not like that.

00:39:15

But also, like, even the scene in Aspen where she reads the DuMoi sighting about Braxton and Olivia Jade, like, most people would not show that. They would not, like, Like, and the fact that Olivia Jade's just like name on the show, and Alex admitting that she has stalked every single person that Braxton has been spotted to talking to, like, it's just so honest.

00:39:34

Yeah.

00:39:34

And like, and almost like shameless in the way that you need to be shameless to be interesting on reality TV without exploiting yourself. And I don't feel like she did that.

00:39:46

I agree. I think that what's commendable about the show is like, they're obviously this family with Like not secrets, but like skeletons and just like embarrassing things. Everyone has it. And I think that a lot of people in the spirit of becoming rich and famous would exploit all that. And because I think maybe they are independently wealthy, like they're not that desperate. So they're like, we'll make a show and we'll talk about stuff, but we're not willing to throw each other under the bus. We're not willing to exploit our family history. And I feel like even the embarrassing parts, like of course TJ, you know what else really pissed me off about TJ? Is that like all of this is his fault, right? He's the one— yes, Ashley was young and she knew what she—

00:40:22

And then it's left for the women to clean it up.

00:40:23

Yes, she knew what she was doing was wrong, but like he was the one who was married with kids. Like this whole thing, this whole dynamic is 100— fine, 99.9% TJ's fault, 1% Ashley's fault. And all their infighting, all the interpersonal issues are his faults. And he's like, well, you need to talk to Ashley. It's like, well, you need to talk to Ashley. Like this is all his fault.

00:40:41

And he'd leave—

00:40:41

he literally leaves the room for the girls to work it out. And I feel like one of the biggest issues in their dynamic is that, of course, I can never remember the mom's name. Alyssa. She does her best to, like, you know, be copacetic, and there's only so much she can do because the girls are so close with the stepkids.

00:40:57

The kids.

00:40:58

So she does what she can, but like, anytime Ashton and Alex have a problem with Ashley, they go to their mom. So of course, the mom, who already has tons of reasons to hate Ashley, is now like, yeah, I hate her even more. But then I think the girls have this, like, really genuine relationship with Ashley. They, they have a desire to work it out, and they do work it out. And so Alyssa's just like standing left there with like the pile of problems.

00:41:17

Only the hatred.

00:41:18

Yeah.

00:41:18

But they're also not gonna go to her with the things that they like about Ashley because that's also offensive. And that's just the truth of the situation, and that's real. And so seeing it play out, it's like, oh well, of course they're not like so harmoniously blending.

00:41:30

And you know what, I was relieved to see that they had issues because it wasn't what I thought it was. It's not normal. It's not. And I—

00:41:37

yeah, it's not. I also think that Alex and this show and this family, like, because she comes from wealth, I think that, you know, a lot of times— and I feel like when I think about like the D'Amelio sisters or just like other shows and other like child stars who like bring their family up, it like becomes very unhealthy because it's like the minute you stop working, we're all screwed. If you get in trouble, like, we could all be screwed, even if it's like Like, we take a trip, you pay for the whole trip, we're gonna kiss your ass because of course you paid for the trip. I think the fact that it— that her family has money and they could take this or not take it makes it just a much healthier dynamic because they're not like so desperate. Even when they went to Wellington, they're all staying in a house. Like, I don't think Alex paid for the house because if she had, like, it would just would have been— all the conversations would have been different.

00:42:23

The dynamic is different.

00:42:24

It's so different. And I feel like people are comparing them to the Kardashians a lot, which I think is a really good comparison. I think Alex like is Kim on to be the next Kim. I really do. And I think a huge part of that is also the Kardashians had money. She was desperate to be famous, but not desperate on the balls of her ass.

00:42:40

It's true. To pay her bills.

00:42:41

And her whole family is like, go and sell yourself or else we're on the streets. And so I think watching them be on a show together, just like be in this business together, there's just like a level of desperation that's not there.

00:42:53

Agreed.

00:42:53

That can sometimes be unhealthy for families.

00:42:55

1,000%. Them being rich is like probably one of the best things to happen to them for a million reasons.

00:42:58

When they They took the private plane to Aspen. It's like, it's not, it's not for sure that Alex paid for that.

00:43:04

No, I feel like Sipmargs probably paid for it because that was like a big Sipmargs thing.

00:43:07

Yeah, I'm sure like someone paid for it, but it's not like everything, every house—

00:43:10

Is on Alex.

00:43:11

Alex paid for. It's on her back. She feels like her family's indebted to her. They feel like they can't say anything to her because they could say— they say to her, you know, no one's scared of her.

00:43:19

No, no one's scared of her. Um, I do feel like when it, when it comes to the Kardashian comparisons, like a lot of the siblings have lots of personalities, and I'm sure as they get older, like maybe they'll continue to be like Kendall, Kylie. Like Kendall, Kylie in the first season were just like, you know, little kids.

00:43:33

Like Kendall and Kylie are Isabel and Penelope. Penelope is the Kylie, Isabel is the Kendall.

00:43:38

Um, I feel that, um, Ashton— like I just found some of her stuff a little boring, which isn't a crime.

00:43:50

They really sort of ruined Ashton for me. I wasn't really noticing her.

00:43:53

Well, I feel like they're trying to make it like Earl Girls, like the sisters. Like it's, it's really not the Alex show. I feel like Ashton had just as much screen time as Alex did. And I just found the scenes a little less compelling. Like, I want to model. Like, okay. Um, but I like— I love her, and I feel like the person I, I follow her, so like, I feel like who she is online is like much more interesting. Maybe it's like a nerves thing or just like it's not translating. I just found a lot of it like boring, like the dating stuff. I don't know why, I just found—

00:44:20

Oh yeah, and she keeps saying the same thing. She's sort of just like Debbie Downer. I wasn't noticing her or minding her at all, and then like you, um, Um, you, you, you made me notice and mind. Um, and then also I watched a bit of Therapist with Jake Shannon, and I found her presence to be like really, um, disruptive to the episode, honestly. However, in searching for what people think about the show, I'm seeing a lot of love for Ashton, and I'm happy for her. And I don't even like want to like say I didn't like her.

00:44:47

No, I think she's very Gen Z, and like maybe that's just not us.

00:44:50

And like just the vibes are different. And what's so funny is Like, I, I— Alex is obviously like my favorite on the show because she's the star of the show and she's such a queen. I could look at her all day. But like, weirdly, I relate to Ashley. I'm an Ashley, a mother of 3. Oh, that's interesting. And also Ashley, I, I really like Ashley. So do I. And I think that's a very unpopular opinion because when I was seeing— I saw a lot of love for Ashley and a lot of like dislike for Ashley. And I was like impressed by Ashley. First of all, the way she navigates this dynamic as queenie.

00:45:18

I agree.

00:45:18

Trying to blend a family of like people who hate her and like never giving up even when the girls are sticking toothpaste in your shoes.

00:45:23

Agreed.

00:45:23

She is Meredith Blake grown up.

00:45:25

No, I completely agree. She, for me, had the most increase in a Q score since watching.

00:45:31

And then when it comes to like the things that she says and the advice that she gives the girls, I find her to be very sensible.

00:45:38

Yeah.

00:45:38

It's the same sort of advice I would give personally. And maybe you disagree with Ashley and the things that she says and does, but personally, personally, I don't. I think I think her insistence that the girls care less about what people say and continue to do what they think is right and not like live with this pressure and, and just like the weight of the world crashing down on you, like that is my mentality as well. And I, I found she was a woman with good sense.

00:46:02

Yeah, I did.

00:46:03

And I like a woman with good sense.

00:46:04

I actually think that the girls can—

00:46:06

aside from the things she did when she was—

00:46:08

of course, the things— I, I feel like the girls can sense that in her, and I think she really understands their world. Like she's also becoming like her own little influencer, but she's just younger, so I think she gets it. I think the girls are actually like naturally attracted to her. And I think that makes it like even more unfortunate for the mom because I feel like the mom's sort of detached anytime they're having like conversations about business, unless it was the big Alex Cooper conversation at the end. But like they go to Ashley and TJ, and it's not just TJ, like Ashley's in the room. I think that they really respect her opinion, which I just think makes the dynamic even harder for the mom to like be involved. The dynamic is set up just not to benefit Alyssa, and that's so unfortunate because she's the injured party.

00:46:43

Yeah.

00:46:44

Yes, but it's like, yeah, true, Ashley should be able to go on vacation with— after 17 years with her whole family, including the stepkids Ashton and Alex, and not have TJ and Alyssa come. But it's like, excuse me, those are my kids too. So it's just, it's really unfortunate for Alyssa.

00:46:58

Yeah, like, you crashed this party, like, this is your penance almost. Yeah, but it's also like, it's also Ashley's first time on Earth. This is her family, these are her children. Like, she wants to, you know, have a somewhat of a some normal family experiences, but I guess that's like what you get when you are with a married man. And he is correct.

00:47:17

Overall, I think the show was great, and I think it was so good for Alex. Like, I think she's a great role model, and I think now we can talk about Alex Cooper. I think to see her like go through the genesis— when she said, like, she— like, my heart broke in a million pieces when she was like, my kids are gonna see that, talking about that. That was just like such a mature— she's only 25— like, such a mature thing to say. And I think that it's actually really good because obviously she's like sexy and whatever, but like I think that she, as she's growing up, is becoming a little bit more conscious of like her digital footprint. And I think she's a really good role model for young girls. And yeah, the brat— like the honesty, everything she showed us was just, I think, setting a really good example for young girls.

00:47:53

Yeah. And so we can get into the Alex Cooper stuff now. Going into the show, everyone was like, the show is gonna be where she sets it all right. And it was funny To see how she sort of was like, just like mad and kicking herself that the thing got so big.

00:48:07

No. And by the way, everyone was like, Alex is being so strategic. So I love what she's doing. I love— there was no strategy. She was just like, should I, should I not? Should I?

00:48:16

And the longer she didn't, it made it feel like there was this big thing coming. And at the end of the day, there's not a big thing. There's not a big story or anything. It's, it's what we said, you know, it's a bad working relationship. It's, you know, 2 people who shouldn't have worked together, the dynamic never worked, and then personalities and clashes and insults and this and that, but not like one big thing. And what the fuck was Briana Chickenfry talking about? Like, when she says it, like, it was everyone around her.

00:48:42

Yeah, no, if I'm Alex Earle, I hate Briana Chickenfry.

00:48:46

Yeah, so I— and this is what I always thought it was, so like, there's nothing that's like super shocking about it.

00:48:52

Actually, I thought there was one really shocking piece of information. which was Xandra.

00:48:56

Yeah.

00:48:57

And I love that they blurted her mouth, but you literally could— if you read lips, Xandra. Like, it was so obvious.

00:49:01

And there's only one person— oh, I didn't even read the lips. When she goes, she went to someone from college to get dirt on me, it's like, oh, Xandra, the girl from your college that you're like not super good friends with.

00:49:08

And I have to say, I have enormous respect for Xandra because Xandra gets a lot of shit online for the ending of her friendship with Alex Earle. Nobody knows what happened. People come up with theories. They say that she sent a naked picture to Braxton. They say that she punched her in the tit. Like, there are all these different rumors and she just sort of lets that. And so you get an opportunity to like work with Alex Earle's number one And you not only ignore her, but you tell Alex Earle about it. Like, if I'm Alex Earle, I'm being a lot nicer to Xandra.

00:49:33

Yeah, she is a real one. So what happened was, you know, the, the relationship at Unwell was not like right for Alex. She didn't get the support that she needed.

00:49:42

It kickstarted with the actual Call Her Daddy episode where Alex felt really uncomfortable.

00:49:45

Yes. I didn't realize that, that like, we knew that it was like uncomfortable and she asked her inappropriate questions, but I did— the family didn't speak for 3 months because aside from the sex questions that happened at the end of the episode where they're like drinking all day, The beginning of the episode was like Alex's childhood. They went back home, they did like a whole, you know, deep dive into this crazy story that was like so scandalized. And I guess that was like— Ashley said it was the hardest time of her life after Alex Earl went on Call Her Daddy.

00:50:11

And to be honest, like, net, when it comes to Lyx versus Lex, like, I'm hard, I think, team Lyx. But I felt like the family in that scene was being kind of unfair to Alex Cooper. Like they were just putting a lot of their shit on this one interview. And I don't even know what it was that Lyx said in that interview that was so upsetting to the group, because I thought she— they talked about it so briefly and you could tell Alex was like uncomfortable. And it was just like, we knew the story and she just kind of told it to us and she said it was hard for her. Like, it wasn't that salacious.

00:50:43

So I think that maybe some, like, you know, online people knew that, that, that was her backstory. But I, the, I don't think she's ever like told the story, spoken about it. No, that was the first time. Yeah. So it was putting that out there for the first time. And then I think also it's like, so many people are like, well, don't be surprised that she asked like sex questions. It's the sex podcast. She was a fan of Alex Cooper.

00:51:08

She said it was her idol.

00:51:09

Like the Gluck Gluck Show. That's like what Dave Portnoy said, which is a good point. Like, so she shouldn't have been so surprised by the sex questions, but it's like, you don't get to ask like the sex questions and also do the, um, like Meredith Vieira deep dive into the family. Like, which podcast?

00:51:23

I think that that's sort of emblematic of like Alex Cooper, like, and her brand changing.

00:51:28

Then you're just— when it's both, then you're just like exploiting every aspect of someone's personality. Yes.

00:51:33

So on the one hand, what a lot of people are saying, and I agree with, is like, you said this is your idol, this is someone you love. Like, it's the Gluck Gluck Show. Like, why are we surprised that you're asked— that you're being asked if you're an anal virgin? And that's why I'm like so almost disappointed in your dad for letting you do this. Like, you say he's this protector And how can—

00:51:49

but then on the other hand, it's not the Gluck Luck Show. On the other hand, with Alex Cooper, just like, be a fucking human being.

00:51:53

Stop asking a 21-year-old girl if she's an anal virgin. Like, that's disgusting and predatory.

00:51:57

But also, like, it's not the Gluck Luck Show. You didn't ask Kamala if she's an anal virgin. Well, no, you have to think of the time.

00:52:02

You have to think of the time. She was still very much, like, in the process of transitioning. She used to have people on more seriously to talk about, like, their traumas, and then, like, okay, and then at the end she'd be like, okay, let's get into sex. Are you an anal virgin? She was like slowly transitioning like the anal out of the show.

00:52:19

I guess.

00:52:19

But it was a transitional period.

00:52:21

But she had already like found it unwell because Alex Earl was a part of it. She's a businesswoman. This isn't her Barstool era. This is, you know, what year is this? 2023?

00:52:32

I have no idea, but she had just graduated college, so maybe, maybe '22.

00:52:37

'22. Okay. What I'm just saying, like, it's not, it's, it is the Gluckluck Show and it's not.

00:52:44

It was. I'm sorry, like, it was.

00:52:46

And there's also a major difference between talking about your own personal sex life and talking about someone else's.

00:52:53

And I'm sorry, there's also just a difference when a girl who's younger than you, who really looks up to you, and who you're about to embark on a working journey with asks you to take something out of the show that was sexual and made her uncomfortable and you don't do it. Sorry, you're in the wrong. I don't care what the brand of your show is. Like, she asked you to take it out and you didn't. You're like, it's funny. Like, that's just— that is predatory behavior, and that's just such a bad way to start a working relationship with someone who you want to have a good relationship with. Alex was doing all these Unwell events and really using Alex Earle's clout to like sell tickets and get people to show up. And that's what Alex Earle was saying, like, I felt used, like she didn't look after me in the way that I thought she would.

00:53:30

No.

00:53:30

And it's like, yeah, she was Gluck Gluck, but she was also like this girl boss, girl boss, girl boss, and you would expect like your girl boss to look out for you.

00:53:37

Yeah, so, so that relationship goes south when Alex Earl wants to stop doing the podcast.

00:53:42

And, uh, she found out via the media that she was dropped.

00:53:46

Yeah, she talked about it like more on Jake Shane, why she like the podcast was not right for her. And it was actually— she made like some really good points. And she was like, Jake doesn't feel this way because it's different, but like I just felt empty. I felt like I was exploiting every single aspect of my personal life for stories, for tea. She said Alex Cooper even suggested that she not like get a boyfriend and date Braxton so that she would have like more to share on the show about her dating life and her sex life. And she was like, dating life, yeah, I'll share, but sex life, no, I'm not sharing that. So like, that's a very clear, obvious delineation.

00:54:15

Yeah.

00:54:15

So, so also she's like carting around all of this equipment to Europe and everywhere, and then she goes on Jake Shane's show and she sees he has a producer. She's like, who's that? She's talking to Josh Richards and Gabby in Europe. This is what she said on Therapist. And they're like, wait, you're— why are you screwing in the microphones yourself? Like, where's your help? And so she she had no help, no support. She's hating doing this. She feels empty. She's running on zero, so she doesn't want to do the show anymore. And I think it was a little bit of a, um, a back and forth about getting her show back.

00:54:42

Well, that was interesting what she said on Therapist, because I remember when Alex was— Alex Cooper was responding to comments being like, Alex owns her IP, she can do whatever she wants with it. And Alex Earl was like, I didn't, and then the next morning they gave it to me. Like, just very manipulative.

00:54:54

Yeah, or it's like she did own it, but like they had some sort of keys to it that once, you know, it was over, then they gave it back. So it ended badly. They should have never worked together, period. But like, I think a lot of the signs were there for Alex Earle. You can— I, I can fault both of them, honestly. It used to be like, oh, neither of them could be wrong. Now I'm like, you're both wrong.

00:55:13

Yeah, 1,000%.

00:55:14

You're both wrong. Alex Earle is wrong for, for going there. Alex Earle is naive.

00:55:18

And she should have had better people working for and with her. And she said that too. She said, we have the same people working for us, I think, in terms of like managers and agents. So like, I didn't want to make it weird, and I just felt like everybody was like telling me to do the right thing. So she's naive and made poor decision-making in business. And Alex Cooper is just not— she just didn't protect Alex. And the thing is, is that all of this has caused so much trouble for Alex Cooper. I think it's really affected her overall likeness very poorly. And I think that she should have— she went into it the way that I see it is is that she went into business with Alex Earle because she needed to have Alex Earle on the show. Like, it was becoming so— back then she was not doing Katie Couric, you know, she was doing like internet, internet. And Alex Earle was like the biggest thing on the internet. And she's so Alex Cooper, like, why aren't you having her on the show? And it's because, you know, a younger you, it's threatening.

00:56:08

And, and so it wasn't until that she could financially benefit from it that she had her on.

00:56:13

And you know what?

00:56:13

She should have just had her on the show. It's one fucking episode and she would have avoided all, all this trouble.

00:56:19

Because now everyone's looking. Alex Cooper's crime is like, she is a savage businesswoman. She's not here to mentor you. She's not here to hold your hand. She is here to do business and business and personal, they're separate. And so that's her crime. And Alex Earle's crime is that she was naive and she was also blind. Like what Alex Cooper did to Sofia, she did in broad daylight.

00:56:38

Let's talk about the blindness.

00:56:40

Like, so, and her team and her dad and the people who work for both of them. It was no secret that this was a big sex show.

00:56:47

And this was no secret that this is a person who was willing to throw her best friend best friend under the bus for business. So you think she's gonna protect you? She's known you for 5 minutes and you are a threat to her.

00:56:55

And I still think, I still think Alix Earle is not mad enough at the people who work for both of them.

00:57:02

Her dad?

00:57:02

Not, no, her dad, separate. The people who work for both of them. But they share— She's still, even after Unwell—

00:57:09

By the way, they shared the same agent up until last week. And that's because Alix Cooper left the agency.

00:57:14

Right, right. So even when the Unwell thing went south, Alix Earle said she didn't like talk about it. She didn't do like a big story tea time because they have a lot of people in common. She has said she is scared of Alex Cooper. People have told her to be scared of her. Alex Cooper has said, be scared of me. And so she just like sort of moved on and didn't say anything, but it was obvious to everyone that something weird happened.

00:57:34

And she would like like stuff and repost.

00:57:36

Then, then I think like, you know, some months go by and she gets a little brave and she sees people on the internet like talking shit about the person that she hates. So she likes a little bit here and there.

00:57:44

It's very empowering when you see people talking negatively about the person that you hate.

00:57:49

Right. So she starts to just engage a little bit and like just drop breadcrumbs, not with the thought of like, one day I'm going to tell the whole story, but like, oh yeah, I do like that. I do agree with that. Like, like, like, like, like. Which is why I found when Alex Cooper was like, just say it, that was such a slay because it— there is nothing to just say. It's vibes.

00:58:10

It's vibes.

00:58:10

And it's bad dealings. Um, but she really put her on the spot, and that's why it was like— I thought when Alex Cooper made that Coachella video, people thought it was like crazy and like, what is she doing? It's like, no, she's really like forcing this girl to like, like, you know, she's making this bigger than it is.

00:58:28

Wait, we also have to talk about Harry Jowsey getting involved. And to be honest, I actually feel like that was really bad for Alex Cooper. And if I'm Alex Cooper, I'm annoyed at Harry Jowsey because Harry Jowsey took a screenshot of that text message that Alex shared on the show that she had sent to Alex Cooper.

00:58:41

Um, and she didn't send it. Oh, she didn't?

00:58:43

She wrote.

00:58:43

No, she never said on the show that she sent it.

00:58:45

Okay, I didn't think it was a good text. I, I, I'm glad.

00:58:48

Because also Dave asked— Dave asked Alex Cooper— he did a Tea by the Track, and, um, he asked Alex Cooper if she ever got that text, and she said no.

00:58:56

Got it. Okay, so Harry Styles—

00:58:58

there were a lot of things she almost did. Apparently she made a video at Coachella, like, uh, you know, or she had a video and didn't post it.

00:59:05

And then in hindsight, she wished that she had, even though I feel that a lot of people tuned into the Earl Meets World for this Alex Cooper drama. And I think net-net, it really benefited her. And I think it was sort of— it bookended the entire first episode and last episode, so she kind of needed it. So I'm actually glad that she did it the way that she did because I think it made the show a lot better. Um, but Harry Jowsey just sort of said like, this is not fair, you're coming for a pregnant woman, she's about to give birth. And it's like, well, I actually agree with Harry Jowsey, pregnant women are off limits. But Alex Cooper literally started this and she was pregnant, so it's like Alex Earl has every right to say her piece. And also, I think it then puts into perspective for a lot of people Harry Jowsey's relationship with Alex Cooper. Because when you take a look at Unwell at a glance, like, it was supposed to be this place for like female voices, and it's like Madeline Argy gone, Alex Earle gone, Grace O'Malley— like, what the hell happened to her?

00:59:51

Um, and it's like the only person who's benefited from this has his own TV show, and it's Harry Jowsey. So it's like, this is your girl boss girl boss, meanwhile she's got one friend in the industry and it's a man.

01:00:01

Yeah, I would also say like Let's Marry Harry was bad for women.

01:00:04

Agreed.

01:00:05

I would say that was a bad show for women.

01:00:07

So overall, I think where the internet nets out is Team Alex Earle.

01:00:14

Yeah, even though like I think people are probably disappointed by the overall like Alex Cooper—

01:00:21

You know what, I don't agree. And I was— when I saw people saying like, it's, you know, it's— we knew what it was going to be, and it was literally what we said, like she asked for things. I don't know, I thought it was like actually a lot juicier. Maybe just hearing it from her lips and her coming from this really sad kind of naive place and the Xandra of it all. You know what? I fed. I felt. I felt sufficiently fed.

01:00:43

Oh, that's so interesting.

01:00:43

Yeah, and you know me. I'm like always complaining.

01:00:46

I didn't think there was going to be. Like my expectations were pretty low, so like I didn't feel let down. But I feel like other people, especially especially because we're like we do we're in this business, so like we had a pretty good sense of what probably went wrong. I think other people who thought there was. like crazy story.

01:00:58

You slapped me. Yeah.

01:01:00

Who are hanging on Brianna Chickenfries every last word or like what happened?

01:01:04

I need Brianna Chickenfries to come to the front. What were you talking about?

01:01:08

What was she talking about?

01:01:09

No clue.

01:01:11

Like, 'cause it's just, you know, bits and bobs. Like there wasn't a big scandal. It was just bad. So that's what happened there. And Yeah, at the end of the day, if you watch the whole show, like, it's just not even about that.

01:01:29

No, it's not. But that is why I personally tuned in the minute it was dropped.

01:01:32

I did feel bad for Earl that she had gotten herself into this place where she had to like come back swinging. She doesn't want to take a big shot at Alex Cooper.

01:01:40

Yeah.

01:01:40

And she doesn't want to let everyone down. But, but when she finally posted that like strip pole video, which was as stupid as I thought.

01:01:47

Yeah, agreed.

01:01:47

You know, like, and that's when she posted, I was like, wow, this girl just doesn't move in the same way that I would. Like, I would be like, like, goodbye sister type video. Like, here's what happened. And she's just like so unserious. But it's not that she's unserious, she's just like young.

01:02:02

No, and she's just like doing it on her own. And like, you know, sometimes you're just like so frozen, like with fear and pressure, that like the only thing to do is nothing.

01:02:14

Yeah. And so like, that's what she—

01:02:15

the Alex Cooper conversations are like back up, and Sophia Franklin's about to start her book tour. Um, so I don't think it's getting better. I do think she's like, has given birth or is like minutes from giving birth.

01:02:26

Really?

01:02:26

Yeah. Oh.

01:02:28

Um, I feel like—

01:02:29

so I— she has some— so I do like want to give grace and like lay off. But, um, if like, if there's a person who deserves to be heard, it's Sofia Franklin.

01:02:40

I think Alex Cooper and Alex Earle are both going to continue to be very successful. Um, separately, you know, it's very Taylor and Kim. Yeah, they are the Taylor and Kim. They will operate in different worlds till the end of time, both having extreme success, and that's it.

01:02:56

Yeah, you know.

01:02:59

And oh, Sally was on the show. How funny is that for me? Like, my favorite Earl—

01:03:03

She got fired.

01:03:05

A huge— it was crazy that she was working for—

01:03:08

I know. I guess like her job—

01:03:09

Doing just Snapchat? Is that a job?

01:03:10

Her job has been this like major mystery to people. People are like, are, are you an engineer? Like, it's like been this big almost—

01:03:16

It's funny, people thought she was in medical sales, and I think that's because, um, Sally Carson from Southern Charm—

01:03:21

Oh, that's funny.

01:03:22

Is in medical sales and they have a similar name.

01:03:24

And now, now she's probably like full-time influencing.

01:03:27

Yeah, yeah. Oh, um, there were some really good cameos. I thought when Jake Shane was at the Russian bathhouse, I was actually laughing so hard.

01:03:36

I agree, he's like very naturally funny.

01:03:38

It was just funny and they were getting like whacked. It was just—

01:03:41

It was cute.

01:03:42

Hysterical stuff. I really, really enjoyed the show. Any other people? Oh, her little siblings really stole the show.

01:03:50

Agreed.

01:03:52

They were, um, they're really cute. And yeah, I think, see, so I'm one of these people like, when season 2?

01:03:58

Oh yeah, yeah.

01:03:59

I'm a when season 2 truther.

01:04:01

01:09:35

Thank you, Turd Man.

01:09:35

You're welcome.

01:09:37

The only other thing we didn't discuss is Ashton Earl linked to Landon Barker.

01:09:41

Oh, that's like a new thing. Um, personally, like, Landon Barker, it's just like, it's like a blind spot for me. Like a conscious blind spot. I know him. I know Charlie D'Amelio. I know Kourtney Kardashian.

01:09:53

I know— to me, I know everyone around him. I don't know him.

01:09:55

No, I know him. And to me, like, him—

01:09:58

is he an artist? Is he a musician?

01:09:59

I think he dabbles. Like, this means nothing to me. Like, it's It's just, it's an inconvenience. Yeah.

01:10:05

Yeah, I don't love it.

01:10:06

Me neither.

01:10:08

Okay, our next story is—

01:10:09

But that's what I mean when I say that I think like Ashton is like so Gen Z that like she's sort of like, like she's not for us or at least for me.

01:10:16

Yeah, she's not meant to be for me. Right, like that's why I'm like, I feel bad, but I, that seems obvious, you know?

01:10:21

She like checks a box for other demographics, but not us.

01:10:24

Yes. Yes, for sure. I'm in the Ashley box.

01:10:26

Yeah, 1000%.

01:10:29

You're an Alex.

01:10:30

I feel like I'm actually like a transition. I'm such an Alyssa. Everyone's always leaving me out and it's terrible. No, actually, I'm TJ. Like, let's be real. You are TJ.

01:10:41

I'm TJ. I also— a big storyline was Ashlyn's like modeling career.

01:10:46

I wouldn't say that was like a big storyline, but—

01:10:47

Or Ashlyn's career.

01:10:48

Yeah, Ashlyn.

01:10:50

Um, and on Therapists, Jake Shane was like, you should model. Like, I love that storyline. Like, you should absolutely model. Like, he's a very good friend.

01:10:57

I actually thought she was giving such Kendall Jenner energy.

01:11:00

It's like, she was. But like, here's the thing, I feel like TJ— and TJ was saying like, you shouldn't. And sometimes like the things that you love aren't going to make you the most money. And I feel like she very much is like that, like Amelia Gray, Bella Hadid, like, you know, Dixie D'Amelio. Like literally it's like a trope. And I just don't think any of those girls are happy.

01:11:17

I totally agree.

01:11:19

And I don't think like modeling will make you happy. It will take you away from your— you'll be be in Paris, Milan, China, like everywhere but home.

01:11:27

True.

01:11:27

And she's a homebody. And I thought TJ gave her good advice by being like, don't become a model.

01:11:31

Yeah, I actually agree. And especially when I think she could just make a lot. I think they have a lot of opportunities, like so many right here at home. Yeah, right in Point Pleasant.

01:11:40

So actually, she would obviously— like, she's unbelievably gorgeous. I think so. That's why I didn't like— I didn't notice like her personality traits for a while because I love the way that she carries herself and I think she's like lovely to look at. And she would be an amazing model.

01:11:52

Yeah.

01:11:52

Like, she is a model. Yes. But I don't think so.

01:11:54

Yeah, I agree. Models are not happy people.

01:11:57

No, they're really not.

01:11:58

Yeah.

01:11:59

Okay, next. King Charles III addresses Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal status after moving back to the UK. So as discussed on Patreon, they're going back. Meghan and Harry.

01:12:09

We're not okay.

01:12:11

Are going back to the UK. We're not okay.

01:12:14

And I think the question remaining, like, 'cause this is so confusing, is what does this mean for the royal family? Like, do they know about it? Are they excited about it? Is this an agreed-upon decision? Are they just acting rogue again and like going to be living, you know, as commoners? So we heard from King Charles in an official statement.

01:12:34

Yes, King Charles's Lord Chamberlain wrote in a letter sent to multiple outlets saying their styles as His and Her Royal Highness remain in abeyance and are not used. Abeyance. Sorry. The King has directed that the following information be shared.

01:12:50

No, this is like tea.

01:12:51

The charitable work of the Duke and Duchess is a personal matter for them both and undertaken in their private capacity. In short, their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.

01:13:03

Yeah, I think it's important that King Charles lets his subjects know, like, you're not paying for this, because part of being a royal is like you're taxpayer dollars subsidizing your life in some parts. And that's where I think, like, you know, they draw a lot of criticism from their different actions because it's like, these are the taxpayers, what are you doing? So I think he really wanted— because the, the public there really dislikes them— I think he wanted to sort of make sure everyone knows, like, don't worry, like, this is not official.

01:13:30

Yes, yes. And also, like, it does feel like sort of a snub because even if this was the case, you know, sending out a letter statement to all the outlets It's like distancing yourself from them is crazy. So I think for people who are like, oh, they're moving back to take care of Charles in his final years, like, are very naive. However, like, if they're not to do— how can they make more money in the UK than they can make here? Like, I know that the money has run out here, the opportunities have dried up, they have really squandered every relationship that they've had. What's there for them in the UK?

01:14:07

Maybe they just think like time has changed. It's very clear that they don't have like a firm grasp on what real people think and like what's going on. So maybe they thought, you know, enough time has passed, they've probably forgotten. Because if they are just— if they were aware, they would have moved to Australia, which I do think would have been really good for them.

01:14:24

Yeah, like I think there could be opportunities there.

01:14:28

Yeah, and I, I think— I, I honestly don't know.

01:14:31

I actually think that there's more opportunities in America for them still than there are in the UK. Like even acting for her, they were saying that she was going to be in Guy Ritchie's show or whatever, but like, then no one will watch the show, at least in America. Like, maybe people would still watch the show because Americans love Suits. It's true.

01:14:47

No, and she's a good actress. I've rewatched Suits and I feel like it gave me a whole— not rewatch, watch it for the first time only a few years ago, and I feel like it gave me a whole new respect for Meghan Markle.

01:14:56

Yeah, so I felt like she still could have acted here. I would be very curious to see what their reason—

01:15:02

like, what is the reason? Yeah, and I also think that maybe Charles Charles's statement was meant to put to rest some of the rumors that he's like dying, you know, because that's— people just blamed it on him. They're like, he's dying, they have to go back, it's his dad.

01:15:19

But still, like, everyone's been like sick and, and dying.

01:15:22

Yeah, Kate had cancer, they never came back.

01:15:24

Kate had cancer, the Queen died, Philip died, Charles has cancer.

01:15:27

So much has happened.

01:15:29

So, and now, like, it's actually insane that they Megxit-ed during Queen Elizabeth's reign.

01:15:32

Like, seriously, so disrespectful.

01:15:34

Seriously disgusting.

01:15:35

They're so weird to me. Like, freaky as hell. I hate people who I can't, like, understand. I don't understand, like, this decision.

01:15:42

No, and I said this on Patreon, and what I don't understand is why it's so hard for them to just, like, act normal. Like, they didn't have to do anything. They came here so beloved, everyone throwing money at them, throwing homes, throwing planes, and, like, all you had to do was just, like, be normal. But instead, everybody hates— like, the people around them Like, they don't have the same friends that they did. The people who worked with them don't want to work with them, like companies and assistants and everything. And it's like, why is it so hard for them to just like be normal?

01:16:12

Yeah, like don't fuck it up.

01:16:14

And not be like so much of a repellent.

01:16:18

And yeah, repellent, that's what it is. People were really not— I mean, I just— it just resurfaced, the clip of Kim and Khloé on Khloé in Wonderland talking about the whole Meghan Markle thing. And like, you could just tell they like fucking hate her. And it's like, I think that everybody leaves an interaction with them with that bad taste in their mouth. Right.

01:16:34

And it's like, right. So it's like, why are you giving everyone such a bad taste? Just like say less, do nothing.

01:16:39

Yeah.

01:16:39

And people will just like you because like you're so important. Yeah. And cool and royal, whatnot. Royal. And, and you're the royal mavericks. And so no one was mad about the Megxit. Like people liked them for that.

01:16:53

Yeah.

01:16:53

So all they had to do was just like come here and retire. Yeah, and they couldn't do that. That's what I can't understand, how you can literally repel everyone around you, like, just with your personality.

01:17:03

Yeah.

01:17:04

It has to be so bad.

01:17:05

Yeah. Can't relate.

01:17:09

Can't relate. Cannot.

01:17:10

We will of course keep you abreast on any and all updates on the—

01:17:13

Now that the toast is back, we will be on top of any and all updates. What is the name of this?

01:17:16

Like, when they left, it was Megxit. Mentrance? Like, what is it called?

01:17:20

Mentrance?

01:17:21

No, but it's a return.

01:17:21

Well, it would be like a return. Retagen?

01:17:26

Megan Martern. I don't know.

01:17:30

I like Retagen.

01:17:30

I don't know. I don't get it.

01:17:32

Return Megan.

01:17:33

Oh, sound off in the comments if you, if you could do better than Retagen.

01:17:37

What did the New York Post do? Oh, thrown back.

01:17:39

Oh, they also did, oh, our long national nightmare is over. That was so funny.

01:17:42

But like, what's, what's the one word?

01:17:45

Right. What's the— and I love a blend. Megxit. I loved that. Let me go to thesaurus.com. A word for—

01:17:53

Hark, Meghan.

01:17:54

Excuse me?

01:17:56

Like, like Harry homecoming Meghan. Oh, homecoming Meghan. Hark Meghan. I think it could catch on. Hark Meghan. I got it. Don't, don't stress.

01:18:07

Okay, because thesaurus.org is giving me nothing.

01:18:11

Okay, are you ready for our next story?

01:18:14

Yep.

01:18:15

Dancing with the Stars Season 35 cast and pros. So we got the rest of the cast of Dancing with the Stars and their partners. Are you ready?

01:18:25

I am ready. There wasn't anyone who was like a major shock.

01:18:29

I think Julia Stiles is shocking people.

01:18:32

She's currently like my pick for winner.

01:18:35

Okay, we'll get into that. But so we have Sierra Miller and Brandon Armstrong. Brandon danced with Lauren last year?

01:18:42

Yeah, somebody who got out early and stunk.

01:18:45

So yeah, I think it was Lawrence because I don't know him.

01:18:47

So he deserves— he deserves an upgrade, and Sierra feels like a fair, good choice.

01:18:52

Yeah, I feel like they did switch this year. Like, the pros who got worser people last year—

01:18:57

Dancing with the Stars fans like always claim that like there are certain people who get— and it's true, like Mark Ballas always gets someone good, so does Val. Um, but I think they try to like switch it up with everyone as much as possible.

01:19:10

So we have Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas.

01:19:12

So cute. They know each other from Traitors.

01:19:15

Oh, cute. Oh, I love that. Jackson Olsen from Savannah Bananas and Emma Slater. That's gonna be fun. And she deserves like a fun dance guy.

01:19:22

She had Andy.

01:19:23

She did the most with Andy.

01:19:25

Yeah. So imagine what she could do with like a, a young able-bodied.

01:19:29

Yeah. Then we have Whitney Carson and Guillermo, which we knew, and she's pregnant and And it's perfect.

01:19:33

Perfect.

01:19:34

Literally perfect. Jenna Dewan and Val.

01:19:37

I need them to be—

01:19:38

They'll be one of the stars.

01:19:38

Okay, but I need them to be so for real. Like, this giving Heather Morris from Glee at a certain point. Like, this show is not fair.

01:19:46

Um, is she a dancer? Oh my God. Or is she just in a dance movie?

01:19:48

No, she was the host of So You Think You Can Dance. Like, she's very much in the dance world. It's not— honestly, it's not as egregious as, um, Mike Chang from Glee. No, he's, he's on this season. Um, but it's, it's got people's feathers ruffled, and I agree.

01:20:07

Oh, I didn't see any of that, but she also really looks like the wife.

01:20:15

Uh, Jenna Johnson. Yes.

01:20:17

And they have like the same— they both start with J. Then we have Ezra Fretch and Daniela Karagac. Who's Ezra?

01:20:25

I believe he's a Paralympian.

01:20:28

Oh cool.

01:20:28

Yeah, they always got an athlete in there.

01:20:31

Love that. Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa.

01:20:34

Yeah, I feel that this is a perfect pairing as Julia Stiles has like a lot of lore in pop culture as it pertains to dance, but just like, of course, media in general.

01:20:43

As it pertains to dance.

01:20:43

And I think that like the gay pro is perfect for her. I think he will deliver on like, uh, 10 Things I Hate About You. Yeah, all the lore. Um, their TikToks have already been like very funny and I think he's perfect for her. And I do think I think she's the perfect person. She has like a little bit of background in dance, but she's by no means a dancer. Even some of the TikToks she's been making, I'm like, oh, she's not like as good as I thought. But I think she'll really improve, and it's almost like a muscle that she hasn't flexed in a while. And I think that they have potential to win.

01:21:10

Yeah, especially because like she's older than she was when she was doing those movies. It kind of reminds me of like Elaine Hendrix a little bit. Like she was a, like a big dancer back in the day, and now it's a muscle that she hasn't flexed in a while. Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson.

01:21:25

This is like legit unfair. He's actually maybe a better dancer than her. Like, he is fully trained. He was like the dancer on Glee. I know he's gone on to do more stuff, but like, to me, he's my Chang.

01:21:35

He's on Grey's Anatomy.

01:21:35

He's my Chang. Like, this is egregious. And so they made a TikTok of Val and his partner, which is Jenna Dewan, and Jenna, Val's husband, and her partner Harry.

01:21:49

And it just looks like 4 professional dancers.

01:21:52

And honestly, like, Harry Shum Jr. was like a better dancer than Val. Like, it was actually— you— I'll show you the video. People are so upset about it, and rightfully so. It's just so obvious. Also, that's funny, there's a pro, and I think it might be Britt, I'm not sure who it is, whose like dream partner she's always said is Harry Shum Jr. And it's like they didn't give it to her. So people are like, there's Jenna favoritism because Jenna and Val, and Jenna always gets good people.

01:22:12

And also like Jenna last— no, Jenna had Corey Feldman last season, so she's very chill.

01:22:17

Oh, she deserves it.

01:22:18

It's like when you come in last in the draft and like at the NFL, so you get the first pick of the draft.

01:22:23

1,000%.

01:22:23

That's what this is. She deserves it. She wasn't even on last season. I thought she took a season off.

01:22:28

It's true, she was literally on 2 weeks.

01:22:29

But she was with Corey.

01:22:30

Right. And they were like beefing too.

01:22:34

It was a horrible season for her. I don't even know her because she was not on the show. So I think this is very fair.

01:22:40

Me too.

01:22:42

Giada De Laurentiis and Alan Burstyn.

01:22:44

I love this.

01:22:44

Not your favorite?

01:22:45

I love this.

01:22:47

Are you gonna be texting Giada every week?

01:22:49

I'm texting Giada. She's a perfect person for it. Um, like, I, I literally love this. I love— like, this is what Dancing with the Stars is all about.

01:22:56

This is Dancing with the Stars.

01:22:57

She's so random.

01:22:58

It's true.

01:22:58

Like, Giada, okay, slay.

01:23:00

I know. I actually just like started— I don't know why recently, like, her Instagram came up for me before Dancing with the Stars, and I was just I was like, she makes a lot of content. She makes like Parchee stuff.

01:23:09

She's always been just sort of like difficult to champion because she's so skinny and she's Italian, so always cooking like pizza and pasta. And it's like, girl, be so for real. But not me body shaming, like I'll stop.

01:23:19

Yeah, and like judging.

01:23:21

It's just like she's always been the skinniest person on Food Network. It just like didn't add up.

01:23:25

It's okay.

01:23:26

I know, I feel like if you're cooking like Greek food, like okay, Greek food's super healthy. Like Italian food is not. But, and she always says like Parmigiano-Reggiano. It's like you could just say Parmesan.

01:23:35

I just feel like you're stereotyping.

01:23:37

Never trust a skinny chef. That's what the kids say.

01:23:40

Next we have Connor Wood and Riley Arnold. Connor Wood is fibula.

01:23:43

Um, first of all, like, there's always a couple will they, won't they. Like, this is them, first of all. Second of all, um, you'd love to see a friend of the Toast out here doing big things. Former guest host. People love him. I think he'll get a lot of votes. And you'd love to see like the influencer sector being represented.

01:24:01

Yeah, so this is our influencer for the season.

01:24:04

Yeah. And Tyler Cameron, I love him.

01:24:07

Uh, Tyler Cameron, but he's a reality star. He is like an influencer. He is with Sharna Burgess.

01:24:12

Oh, and Sharna Burgess is returning. Can you remind me? I get her so confused with Brian Austin Green. Shanna Moakler.

01:24:19

She's not Shanna Moakler, but she's with Brian Austin Green now.

01:24:22

Now she is.

01:24:23

Megan Fox's ex-husband.

01:24:24

Yeah, okay. Um, and she won with Bobby Bones. She was like one of the most controversial winners of all time.

01:24:31

Yeah, so she's with Tyler C., who I think Tyler C.'s gonna be amazing. I think anytime people are reminded of Tyler C., or like he's on their televisions, like everyone falls in love with him all over again. So even though he hasn't been on— he does like HGTV stuff, but he hasn't been on like The Bachelor in a while. So you would have thought like he's no longer eligible for Dancing with the Stars because it's usually like right after. I think people are going to remember like how much—

01:24:53

He's a heartthrob. I love him. I do want to say, and I have no proof of I think he's a horrendous dancer. Like, I could just see him having like no rhythm.

01:25:04

Yeah.

01:25:04

And like being very difficult to train. And this is somebody who's been like out of the game for a few years. Like, I do think they will struggle.

01:25:11

Yeah, they will. But he'll be like, you know, an improvement.

01:25:14

Yeah.

01:25:14

And he can only do so well.

01:25:15

No, and he'll get really far just like based on his looks.

01:25:18

Yeah. And eagerness to get better.

01:25:21

He's seriously just so handsome.

01:25:23

Yeah. Next we have Connor Liavitt and Adele Zeichmann. Adele Zeichmann won Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, which was their, you know, Glee Project style show this summer where they sought to find the next pro. And I've seen clips of her and it seems like it was like the most obvious choice in the world. She's an unbelievable dancer.

01:25:44

Um, there's like a lot of debate online whether Connor would like—

01:25:48

not Connor would, excuse me, Connor Oh, we had 2 Collins on the season.

01:25:52

Is eligible to have been selected as a star. Like, he's kind of a nepo husband, people say. And Whitney's like making all this content with her nepo husband shirt. Like, they're very much engaging with the rhetoric because overall the feedback I've seen is that people are really underwhelmed by this group of people, like this casting. I think last year was so— there were so many stars, like so many it girls. Like, it was really, um, it was kind of a banner season for them last year, I'd say, in terms of like ratings and, and gets. Like, they got good people. Whitney was huge for them. Alex Earle was huge for them. Robert Irwin was huge for them. Um, Jordan Chiles was huge for them. I think that the overwhelming sentiment is like, this is a little lackluster, and I think people are pinning that on Connor, which is not fair.

01:26:32

So I have a lot of thoughts on Connor, and it's just crazy because like Whitney had so much success offline, like almost like online, off the show. On the show, like they were very hard on her. The fans fucking hated her, and she didn't even make top 4.

01:26:46

Yeah.

01:26:47

And now it's like her husband is the next choice when she— on the show, she actually didn't make that huge of an impact like she should have. It really all happened like online after the fact.

01:27:00

And you know who's vomiting is Jen Affleck. Like, it was hard enough.

01:27:04

But also, it's, it's crazy that there's not a Mormon wife on the cast.

01:27:07

Yeah.

01:27:07

And I feel like maybe there was supposed to be.

01:27:09

Yeah.

01:27:09

And they couldn't get one because of scheduling or something, and so they went with Connor.

01:27:13

I feel like they could have gotten one, and I feel like Connor sort of took like the Salamau spot, even though they had 2 last year. Um, it is crazy that there's not a Secret Lives, but there's Sarah J. Nader, you know, which is so random.

01:27:25

Sarah J. Nader's not random. She's exactly who would be on the show. I think someone in this ABC family—

01:27:29

Yeah, but I think when people are talking about like the underwhelming nature, someone with 70,000 Instagram followers like is a shock.

01:27:36

Oh wow, okay. So let's continue on.

01:27:39

like, discussion.

01:27:41

I guess it's like different strokes for different folks because here we have Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov. Amber Glenn is an Olympic figure skater.

01:27:49

I don't know her, but I know people were like very excited about her and I don't know, I'm not familiar with her lore.

01:27:56

That's so funny. I was looking at the picture of the two of them. I thought he was Amber Glenn and that she was Pasha. I'm cracking up. It's like, I'm like, I never saw Amber Glenn. at the men's figure skating. Like, I— because I don't know either of them. But now— but Pasha also colored his hair, so that's why I'm confused, because now I remember him from last season.

01:28:14

Yeah, of course.

01:28:15

With, uh, Danielle Fisher.

01:28:16

Yes.

01:28:17

Yeah. Um, and then Sarah-Jay Nader and Haley Bills. So Sarah-Jay Nader is the sister of Brooks Nader, and she is dancing with Haley Bills, who is also a first-time pro.

01:28:25

Derek Hough's wife, right?

01:28:27

Why do I think that?

01:28:28

I think she is.

01:28:29

No, I think— no, no, no, I think that's someone else because Haley Bills is like very young.

01:28:33

Oh, okay.

01:28:34

Um, but there, I think he's also married to like a Hailey dancer, and Hailey Bills was in like the troupe that used to come out like in between.

01:28:39

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:28:40

Like she was on— And now she's a pro.

01:28:41

The minor leagues.

01:28:43

And, and they're making, you know, some more herstory as a female dancing couple because Sarah Jane Nader is bisexual.

01:28:50

Yeah, she's actively dating Pete Davidson, so I feel like it's really not necessary that they pair her with a girl. Um, like I feel like when they did it with JoJo Siwa, like it was just, it was sweet. Like it was really, um, JoJo Siwa's dating him. I know, so it's kind of like a curse. Like, I feel like it, like, it changes your sexuality. Like, no, I'm totally kidding, by the way. Like, that was obviously a joke. Um, I just feel like I thought Sarah Jane was like a lesbian, and then the Pete Davidson thing happened. I'm like, oh, maybe she's not.

01:29:16

And so I just feel like, I don't know, like, if you can date Pete Davidson, like, you can dance with the man. Yeah, like, if there was someone— like I was saying, like, if Ellen DeGeneres went on Dancing with the Stars, Like, she should dance with a woman for sure.

01:29:28

But the thing is, is like, dancing is not about your sexuality. I feel like— Right.

01:29:32

And if you're saying it is about sexuality, then like all these people who are married—

01:29:35

Bumping and grinding.

01:29:36

Bumping and grinding on each other, it's sexual.

01:29:38

Yeah. I'm like kind of a purist when it comes to ballroom dance. Like, it's so, it's so gendered, right? Like the man lifts the women and it's like, it's very old school.

01:29:46

Is Hailey gonna be lifting up Sarah-Jane?

01:29:48

Yeah. And it's like—

01:29:48

Or is Sarah-Jane lifting up Hailey?

01:29:50

I don't know. It's like sweet to always be inclusive, of course, but like, Like, you could dance with anyone. Like, dancing is just like a beautiful thing that everyone can do with everyone. Like—

01:29:59

No, and it's like Scott Hoying danced with a woman.

01:30:01

Correct.

01:30:03

And he was fine.

01:30:04

Completely.

01:30:05

And so it's like all like, yeah, I'm sorry, this is, this is not for me.

01:30:09

Especially with somebody who's like actively dating Pete Davidson. It's not even like she's dating anyone, she's dating Pete Davidson.

01:30:14

Like, can't lay her hands on a man. Yeah.

01:30:18

So I just feel like it's a little performative.

01:30:20

It's, it's beyond performative.

01:30:22

And yes, I—

01:30:23

it's, it's actually the definition of performative.

01:30:26

I like ballroom dance. Like, like, I just, I like it. It's OG version. Like, they've been doing it for decades, man and woman. And it's like, the man's gay, the woman's gay, nobody cares. The man's married, the woman's married, nobody cares.

01:30:36

I feel a little bad for Halle Bilse. It's her first season.

01:30:39

Well, no, I don't feel bad because honestly she's already like making a splash. And like, I guess so, but she has like this abridged version.

01:30:45

It's not the training that she's used to her whole life.

01:30:47

Correct.

01:30:48

You know, she's already figuring out how to make up choreo for the show for the first time and teach someone how to dance. And now, like, it's not the dynamic she's used to.

01:30:56

I think it's a 2-night premiere. They're like, the men are going first and then the women are going. I'm sad. I love Dancing with the Stars. I can't believe I— there was a time when I didn't watch it.

01:31:04

There's more people.

01:31:04

Oh my God.

01:31:05

Taylor Hansen and Britt Stewart. Another situation where I'm not sure who the pro is.

01:31:09

Britt is the pro.

01:31:10

Oh, Taylor Hansen. He's from Hanson.

01:31:13

Wimba. Yeah, okay, a lot of the Brit stans are like, you know, a little miffed that like for 2 years— she had Barron Davis last year, I think he was actually the first person out, um, that she's like constantly getting like kind of shitty. But she also ended up, um, marrying I think one of her first partners, the actor from CODA who was deaf, and she like learned sign language. It was so sweet, and they're still married. So she's gotten a lot from the show, but yeah, she's kind of like gotten shit 2 years in a row.

01:31:37

But Hansen could maybe dance.

01:31:38

Maybe, but I don't think has hordes of fans. And if they do, like, I don't know if they're voting, texting to vote.

01:31:46

And then Tatiana Ali and Jan Rovnik.

01:31:49

Jan! Who's Tatiana Ali? I don't know her.

01:31:52

She was on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

01:31:55

Oh, right, of course.

01:31:55

Oh, Ashley.

01:31:56

Yeah, of course. Um, and she had that viral TikTok with Will Smith that started the Dochie Anxiety Challenge. Just a little TikTok lore for y'all.

01:32:05

Very interesting. This is a huge cast.

01:32:07

Yeah, I know. It like never ended.

01:32:08

I guess it always is. It never ended.

01:32:10

And then at some point they really start chopping people off.

01:32:12

Like, I do agree with like the criticism that it's not star-studded, but I just feel like last year was an anomaly, and I think that's because of Alex Earle, period. Whitney wound up being a huge sensation on the show, but when she came on, she was just a Mormon wife who's on the show because she's on Hulu. Yeah, Alex Earle was like— when even you were shocked, you were like, why is she doing this?

01:32:31

Robert Irwin was big. I think that it just felt like Dancing with the Stars was like coming up in the world of TV as like no longer a thing that was considered lowbrow.

01:32:39

And now I feel like this cast is just sort of like Yeah, I think we just like got Alex Earl-ified and this is what it is.

01:32:47

It's the Alex Earl effect.

01:32:49

Yeah, this is what it's always been, honestly. And we have like Maura and Sierra, like this is always the same cast. And then we have Hansen, that's classic Hansen.

01:32:56

No, it's classic stuff.

01:32:57

With the figure skater.

01:32:57

It's classic stuff.

01:33:00

Are you ready for our next story?

01:33:02

I don't know if our cards are ready.

01:33:03

Like, I don't know if our cards are ready. Okay, you get to pick one more story.

01:33:08

Okay, there was one I wanted to do. to cancel anyway.

01:33:10

You want to talk about—

01:33:11

oh my God, we have to talk about the Behrens. This is so upsetting. And I, I really mostly wanted to talk about it because I've kind of propped up this family for so many years. I'm always talking about them. Like, they up until recently, like, were hilarious. Um, and I did just want to make, like, an official resignation and, like, make it be known, like, this is not something I can get behind.

01:33:30

And you, you, like, stood— you stood by through Acquiredgate most recently too.

01:33:34

Yes, they had— no, and they've been through a lot publicly, and, like, I'm always It's like, like seeing the best in them. That ends today. This is such a disturbing story. Every detail, and it keeps getting worse and worse. It went from 2 charges to 7 charges. It is a sign of like such moral depravity in their house that I'm so upset by it. Like, the details give me a chill down my spine, and like, I am out.

01:34:00

So KJ Biermann, who is the 15-year-old son of Kim Zolciak-Biermann—

01:34:03

He's the one that got bit by the dog.

01:34:05

Croy Biermann. He is being accused of sexual assault and sodomy. So he went to jail.

01:34:13

Yeah, I think he's still in—

01:34:14

He's in jail. He might get out on bond, and so he will, uh, he will actually be subject to strict stipulations if he gets out of jail after being, um, indicted in this sexual assault and sodomy case. His new normal will be close, close monitoring if granted bond. Sexual assault case experts are saying there's a likelihood he'll be released and he will have a lot of conditions. He'll be on GPS. arrest, probably be on house arrest and having to do school at home.

01:34:37

Yeah, based on what I had read, it seems that they have like a pretty good amount of damning evidence for there to be so many charges and for them to be holding him in jail right now.

01:34:47

Yeah, so the charges are aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment, and 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16 stemming from an alleged incident in Alpharetta, Georgia earlier this year. Um, the charges are unbelievably serious and could result in decades of prison time if he is convicted. And the fact, uh, that he remains behind bars could suggest that there's a very strong case against him.

01:35:12

Yeah. Um, that's what I like had heard people who like know more about the case saying, like the fact that there are so many charges and he's still being held.

01:35:19

Yeah. They said not releasing him into the custody of his parents with electronic monitoring of some kind surprises me for a child of his age.

01:35:25

Right. The crimes are so egregious, like what he's actually being charged with. Um, it's It's very disturbing that I mean anytime something like this happens, but that a 15-year-old could and would do this. Like I said, it's it's a sign I think of like true moral depravity, and it's so upsetting. And Kim Zolciak released a statement that bothered me so much. Like obviously she's like my son is innocent, yada yada against these claims from this woman. She said the word woman. The girl's 15, or I don't know how old she is, but she's under 16. It's like, yeah, it was such an intentional use of language, um, to like, I guess, lighten the, the severity. I just thought it was so disgusting. Um, you're all white trash, quite frankly. Like, I just—

01:36:12

I—

01:36:14

there are so few stories that like actually like leave me speechless.

01:36:17

This is egregious.

01:36:18

It's egregious. Like, every element— sodomy, 15 years old. Like, I'm out on this family. Beyond out. Bye.

01:36:27

Yeah. Oh, it's really nauseating.

01:36:29

No, it's frightening. And if you look at pictures of him, he's this huge kid. I think he's a football player. Um, it just— it like, it actually makes me sick. Like, I feel sick.

01:36:39

Yeah.

01:36:41

Sick.

01:36:41

Well, look forward to justice being served.

01:36:44

Yeah. I'm curious if they are going to let him out. Like, I feel like when you're on trial, you get out on bail, right? Before your trial.

01:36:52

Unless you're like a murderer. Flight risker.

01:36:54

I think depending on the degrees of If you're for tax fraud, I think they'll let you stay at home.

01:37:01

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:37:03

Um, very upsetting. I know we didn't get to everything today, but like, the show does have to get up.

01:37:07

So it does. And then the only other thing which we talked about on Patreon, which I know that you like hate and love to talk about, is Lindsay Clancy.

01:37:13

Oh, I—

01:37:14

oh, I guess we haven't spoken about it since it's been a mistrial, which is—

01:37:18

I'm like a little confused by, like, I don't know where we go from here. Um, my opinion has not changed. Um, I'm actually feeling even like more fervent than ever. Um, if you want to hear like my rant. And I— the crazy thing is like this has really taken women— like women are divided. Not even divided, but like this is like very much like a women's issue that people are talking about.

01:37:38

Women are divided. No, the women are divided.

01:37:40

And I think that, um, we have a huge female audience and like I think a lot of you guys like would majorly disagree with me. I have actually never felt more strongly about anything, and maybe in the history of the Toast, like I think she should be locked the fuck up. I have so many thoughts, and so many— it's crazy how like people are getting canceled for like their takes on this.

01:38:01

Yeah.

01:38:02

And so like, I guess I think I have some— and what I've said on the Patreon is like an 8th of how I feel. Like, I have the strongest takes, but I'm being accused of not supporting postpartum women, which is literally the opposite. Like, if you watch this show, like, you know how false that is. Um, so it's just like one of those things I don't even want to talk about, but I feel so strongly that like maybe I could change the opinion of one person. 'Cause to be honest, I've seen some takes from women that genuinely make me ashamed to be a woman and share a gender with some people.

01:38:29

Like, I think people have gotten a little lost in the sauce and I've seen a lot of people, or like even people that I talked to, be like, in the beginning I was like, you know, by the way, Jackie, do you remember when I brought it up on the toast?

01:38:40

I thought it was caught up in this like social media frenzy.

01:38:43

I don't know how like all of this has like obfuscated the fact that like the woman killed 3 children. 3 children are dead. Whatever led her to it, whatever sad circumstances, you know, that got her there, led her there. Very sad. Sorry to hear that. But you killed your children, and the worst should happen to you.

01:39:02

Agreed. And I think that, um, oh, there's so, like, there's so much to say. I think that I'm actually finding it, like, very difficult to discuss this with people in both online and, like, in my own life because I'm feeling like, are, are you serious? And I think there's, like, levels of people who, like, think X things. Why? I think, like, people who think the husband did Like, I actually—

01:39:22

I, I can't talk to people who think that the husband did it because, yeah, if you think that the husband did it, then yeah, this woman's being like wrongfully convicted. No, but it's so— Of being a child murderer. But it's like they're not even— her, her own team is not even trying to say that she did not do it.

01:39:33

Of course, her lawyer said many times during the trial that like admittedly she did it. And I think that it's so— like, I watched footage of the funeral and like the speech that he made, and they're like, it's weird, he went to Costa Rica and he got remarried. It's like, why don't you shut the fuck up? Like, if somebody loses all 3 of their kids at the hands of their wife, how about they could do whatever the fuck they want? Like, I don't care how they— he ran a marathon. Okay, like, I literally don't care, like, for them. No, and I feel like we talked about that when he ran for— when I watched the Bryan Kohberger, um, Idaho, I was like saying how it's so weird that it all happened at 4 AM and that the kids didn't call the police until noon. And they had a detective on the documentary being like, we didn't think that was weird at all. Like, you really can't predict how someone's gonna react in the wake of a tragedy, like something that's so shocking and traumatizing. So it's like, okay, Maybe you think he should have waited 6 years before getting married.

01:40:20

It's like, and like the judgment that's coming to this man who literally lost his 3 kids, like, I think it shows again my favorite phrase today, a moral depravity in our culture that like we can't let this man rest. And like Lisa Rinna making TikToks, Patrick did it. Like, there's no proof. Like, I just, I actually can't. And I know the comments are gonna blow up from this, but like, I'm so— I feel so strongly and I'm so steadfast in my beliefs.

01:40:43

That's good.

01:40:43

And like, you're not changing my mind. If anything, I'm becoming even more radicalized.

01:40:47

Yeah, no, so I guess like the mistrial, if they weren't going to convict her— and also what happens to her whether she's convicted or not is the same, um, because she's like paralyzed and going to be like in a care facility, whether she's like, you know, it's a mental illness declaration or just jail. Like, there's no jail for her really, um, so like what happens to her is mostly the same, but it's more so about like the legal precedent. And so I'm glad there was no precedent set that you can get away with killing your kids, your 3 kids. Agreed. And then I guess you get like mentally evaluated every 6 months.

01:41:18

Right. So there is like a higher chance of you getting out.

01:41:21

And like having more kids.

01:41:23

No. And like a lot of people, there's like cases in the past, like mostly with Black women whose, whose medical records aren't even admissible in court. So like the fact that they might have struggled with a mental illness, like, doesn't even get to be spoken about. But like, like, I'm sorry, I actually can't talk about this.

01:41:37

Yeah. So I guess like Ms. Childs is like a best case scenario for those of us who want to see justice served and not people being put in jail.

01:41:44

I heard that the lone juror is gonna be on Nancy Grace. That's what I heard. And when I tell you that will be like the interview of the century.

01:41:51

Yeah.

01:41:53

I need to know who it is. They say like, there's a lot of rumors. People say, 'cause it was a jury of like 9 women, 3 men, that it was one of the men.

01:41:59

I think it was one of the men. I think someone like outed that in the pronouns that they used to describe the situation.

01:42:05

Hmm. Curious.

01:42:08

Yeah. So yeah, that's always a can of worms. The world—

01:42:12

I know, I wasn't gonna bring it up today because it's so, it's so polarizing. I wasn't going to either, but actually like—

01:42:17

shit.

01:42:17

You're so glad you've never had to deal with postpartum depression. It's like, we're not talking about postpartum depression, first of all. And second of all, like, that's so— like, you're missing the point.

01:42:26

Yeah, no, you just— you can't kill 3 children. You just can't do it. And you just can't. No.

01:42:32

And the fact that, like, she's even on trial trying to save her own life— like, there's, like, a very famous case. I think people are comparing it to Andrea Yates, who, like, is— I think the most— it was a while ago, um, killed her kids. I think she said she was in psychosis and She like, she was literally begging to be killed, right? This story is so fucking fishy. And bringing your kids in your pink shirt to the courthouse, like, we have lost the plot. And I, I'm not associating myself with these people. Like, no, not me.

01:43:00

No. So I wasn't going to bring it up either, but I guess the fact that it was declared a mistrial happened last week and we hadn't discussed that. So, um, that's really the biggest story.

01:43:08

Yeah.

01:43:11

And that's all for today. There's so much— Plenty we didn't discuss, but the week is young, you guys.
