00:00:01

Good morning, millennials.

00:00:04

Welcome back to The Chose. And happy... What is it? Oh, it's Wednesday. Okay.

00:00:08

Which beautifully for me feels like a Monday because I'm back at home, and yesterday night felt like a Sunday. So I'm jazzed about that.

00:00:17

We're happy for you. It doesn't feel like that for us, but okay.

00:00:21

Hack your own week. Even though I worked, it's not even like I didn't work Monday, Tuesday. So just a little week hack, a little something.

00:00:28

I'm sorry to be so negative. I just need to tell everyone I'm having a fucking terrible morning. I just feel like shit. I'm so annoyed because yesterday was probably the best I felt in months. I was ready to come on this show and be like, I'm out of it, you guys. I cracked the code. I actually did a workout yesterday. I stayed up late till 10:00. Oh, my God. I feel like I'm been hit by a bus. I am not okay, and I'm in a fucking bad mood about it. I'm just letting everyone know that if you're like, Claudia's being so negative today. Well, I'm dealing with a lot. Eat my fucking ass, bitch.

00:00:55

Claudia is not feeling well. The physical symptoms we can't help you with here at Toast. You're going to have this journey. You have to walk on your own. But the bad- Thank you so much. The bad mood, emotional symptoms, that's what we do here. I know.

00:01:07

I'll feel better as I come out of it.

00:01:09

You'll feel better throughout the show. I'm excited for that for you.

00:01:14

It's just like, can I not have a moment of peace? I know everyone's so tired of me complaining all the time. I'm sorry. This is what I'm dealing with. It is what it is.

00:01:22

Understood. Well, we're for Shalima to turdy.

00:01:25

Thank you.

00:01:26

You're having the flu-like symptoms, you say?

00:01:29

No, just I'm tired. You know what? I got into bed last night, and I'm like, You know what? I'm doing it.

00:01:35

What are we doing?

00:01:36

I'm sleeping without a bra. I'm just so sick of the bras touching my skin. But my boobs are so big and so heavy, and let Let me tell you, mistake of the century. If you're thinking about sleeping without a bra, don't fucking do it. I actually think my body is aching from the weight of my breasts being carried all night. Jackie, I was up all night, and God forbid, I just got up. I I couldn't get up. It felt like bricks on my chest. It was such a bad idea, and I feel like my entire disposition is due to the fact that I slept without a bra.

00:02:08

Interesting. I feel like you need a looser bra for sleeping.

00:02:13

I have, of course.

00:02:14

No, I love the Hatch maternity bras. It's as close as you can get to not wearing a bra, but it's something. Those are really great. Why don't you borrow one while you're here? You could take one for a test drive.

00:02:24

Maybe I will. I still wear them. I feel like there's a girl out there who's pregnant and thinking about sleeping without a bra Can I? Don't fucking do it. I'm telling you, it will take me a week to recover. I think that's really the cause of what I'm feeling.

00:02:36

Well, luckily for you, you're coming here tomorrow, which the journey, I don't envy you with your sickness. But I was planning on making a chicken soup today. So you would have Parjee You don't like soup. You know how I feel. Okay, what about this? I'm going to make a chicken soup so that I have tasty... I'll pluck out the chicken for you and noodles.

00:02:53

No. Okay. I don't like soup. Although if I am forced to partake, I do prefer matzabal.

00:03:00

Okay.

00:03:00

I've never made matzabal.

00:03:01

But I learned- You need frozen ones. I can learn. I can learn anything.

00:03:06

But I can learn.

00:03:09

If turdy needs matzabal soup- Jackie, what's that from? Lawn order.

00:03:14

Oh, my God. It's this I remember episode of Law and Honor, for some reason, us as kids, we quoted all the time. I don't even know. She's like a mom?

00:03:22

No, I thought she was a child.

00:03:25

But she wanted to raise a kid, and she was like, But I can learn.

00:03:28

That's really sad.

00:03:29

Olivia I wouldn't know. Olivia was really struck by the episode, and that's why we started quoting it all the time.

00:03:34

I can learn how to make matza balls.

00:03:38

But I can learn. Yeah, learn.

00:03:41

Well, not if you're not in the mood for soup.

00:03:43

I'm not in the mood for soup, but I am in the mood to be at your house. That sounds nice.

00:03:47

The city is- We'll take good care of you here.

00:03:49

It is one fucking degree. It is so cold. I'm ready.

00:03:52

What is the degree there?

00:03:54

In the '30s. We hit the '30s. We hit a new decade this week.

00:03:57

We're in the '60s, which welcome to the '60s. '60s.

00:04:03

Go, Jackie.

00:04:05

Go, go, go. It's so cold for here. It's so amazing.

00:04:08

Yeah, that's nice. Okay, I do have some things to look forward to. Life is worth living.

00:04:14

Plus, you're coming here Then we've got Gizmo on Sunday, and it's going to be a really big next few days. I feel like we're acting like it's not. I feel like we're acting like girls who don't have stuff going on. But we've got a lot going on.

00:04:26

And it kills me that we have stuff going on that we can't share. You know what I'm talking about, right?

00:04:31

I know. We've got some big things brewing.

00:04:33

Yeah. So we'll just have to wait a year till we could tell you.

00:04:36

We just have to leave it at that and really annoy you guys.

00:04:39

Yeah. By the way, today is Spotify wrapped. Speaking of annoying, let me tell you, and I know that I'm not saying this because I'm in a bad mood. I'm saying this because I really fucking feel that way. Please stop. Okay, everyone is allowed to share one screenshot from their Spotify wrap, whether you want to share what song you listen to the most, who your favorite artist was. I don't care which fucking one you choose. You get one. People doing an analysis on their fucking Instagram story. Okay, yours was funny because Billy Eichner being in your top five.

00:05:07

I'll allow it. I posted two because they were both funny.

00:05:09

Jackie, nobody's is that interesting. Yours is probably the most interesting one could be, and it wasn't even that interesting. I'm sick of it. You Get one. I posted one flex yet. Not only is Taylor Swift my number one artist, she's four to five of my top songs. Some of you bitches, not to call out snitch, have Taylor Swift as your number one artist, and she's not even on your top five songs. Please, everybody gets one.

00:05:27

Oh, and by the way, explain how that makes sense. For the second year in a row, I just want to say, Spotify wrapped is no longer factual. I don't know what the angle is, but Claudia, how many times, even when you're here, how many times we listen to We know the Way from Moana?

00:05:43

How many times? I could tell you how many times.

00:05:44

In the Hamptons?

00:05:46

I could tell you how many times because I literally know every word to that terrible fucking song.

00:05:49

Right. Not even on my 100 playlist. It's not on my playlist of my top songs of 2024. Lin Manwell should have been my number one artist. Meanwhile, my number two song, Hakuna Matata, which by four people, including Billy Eichner. And now Billy Eichner is my number four artist beating out Sabrina Carpenter, Shibuzi, Casey Musgraves. It's a lie. It's lies.

00:06:08

I'm feeling as though it's no longer data-driven.

00:06:10

It's not data-driven. This Bluey song is my number one song. We listened to that for three weeks. Now, I just want to say it's a 30-second song, so we played it on repeat so many times. So probably the length of... We played it six times for every one time we would listen to another song, but that was not the number one song. The number one song was We Know the Way, and the number two songs were Spidey and His Amazing Friends. And my number one artist should have been Fall Out Boy because we listen to that album on repeat. It's lies.

00:06:34

Yeah, I think when you have kids, mine felt data-driven. I'm going to say that. I felt completely represented in the data. But also, as a creator on Spotify, because we release our episodes, you also get your own Spotify wrap. Like, sharing stats about how many countries the podcast was listening to. I felt like this year, they really phoned in. They usually give really good tea about what other podcast you're beating, like good shit. This one was so boring. I didn't even screenshot anything to send to you. There was nothing of note.

00:06:59

Yeah. Spotify Wrapped is not what it used to be.

00:07:02

It's not. And I just, I seriously need everyone, not to be so mean, but we're in this group chat with a bunch of our friends, and everybody was sending screenshots this morning, and I literally wanted to be like, You guys, nobody fucking cares. It's so uninteresting to me. Even if you're my lover, the love of my life, Ben. I don't give a fuck. Seriously, people are so self-involved when it comes to Spotify rap, thinking that anybody gives a shit.

00:07:22

Okay, what about all the people who tag us that The Toast was their number one listen to podcast?

00:07:26

That was the next point I wanted to make because I've made the decision this year. It's always a flex. So many people... I mean, this morning, I already have over 100 mentions. How many people tag us that we're their number one podcast of the year? It's so flattering. Every year, I'm always sharing them and flexing on the other podcasters, but it's annoying. I've decided I'm not going to partake this year, but I do want everyone to know my DMs are flooded, everyone's tagging me. My DMs are flotted. Everyone's talking.

00:07:47

My DMs are flotted. I don't have plans to repost everyone, but I'm going to see how other people's reposts make me feel. If I'm hating watching them or I'm like, Oh, this is so fun. I want to get involved, maybe I'll repost. I want to read the room a little bit. But I just want to say, I give a couple fucks about Spotify rap. There are a couple of things that are interesting. Our first story, which is the top streamed artist of the year, which is incredibly telling. Then I think there are people who pretend to like certain things because it's cool and edgy. And meanwhile, your number one played artist is Taylor Swift. You're not listening to Martina's Brothers like you say you are.

00:08:23

No, not only that, especially with the Taylor stuff. It's really interesting to see people who made Taylor their personality, acted like they've Taylor fans their entire life. They go to Eras, mostly like content creators and influencers. And it's like she's not even on your wrap because you were never a fan. That is an interesting part of Spotify wrap. But do you find this? I find this, and it's so funny. And I get it, by the way. This is not shady. I get tagged in a lot of people sharing whatever, their podcast. And it's funny to see what the other podcast, where at least will repost. They'll only repost when they're number one, and it's making a point. So I'm like, Bitch, let me post something so everyone know I'm number one. And by the way, it's not shady at all. Tinks did this morning, and she actually put us as number one with her podcast below. But I found over the years, the Swirlies are only resharing when they're number one, showing everybody else is below me. Bitch, I do the same thing.

00:09:10

I mean, of course. I also ultimately share when number one, Toast, Two, Redheads, Three, Good Guys, Four, Shannon. It's just TNN mania.

00:09:18

Yeah, TNN mania. I saw a couple of those. Just know I'm watching every single one of your stories that you're tagging me in, but I'm not resharing it because I don't want to be annoying.

00:09:26

I haven't watched them yet. When I watch them, I'll see how they make me feel because also some people write nice I might do a little bit of resharing who knows what's in the cards. Then also another interesting thing about Spotify rap that I did find to be factual. Taylor Swift was my number one artist. I know everyone thinks I hate Taylor Swift, so I just need to say that.

00:09:45

And they told me- Everybody does think you hate Taylor Swift.

00:09:49

I literally have been a fan of her since day two. You bitches could never. You weren't even born.

00:09:54

It's so fucking true, Jackie. Keep yelling at everyone. I love that.

00:09:58

Spotify said, I'm in the top 4% of Taylor Swift listeners, and that feels right. I know I'm not the one... I'm not a crazy Swift who leaves her album on repeat while I'm sleeping so she could get streams. But I'm not 50%, I'm not 75. I'm 4%, I'm a big fucking fan, but I'm not the 1%, 2% stream.

00:10:18

I was 0.05% top Taylor listeners. If anybody's interested, I did stream, I think it was 25,000 minutes of Taylor.

00:10:27

I feel like you need to share that stat so the other bitches know how real you are. Because maybe you don't even listen to Spotify so much and you just listen to Taylor's album to hear it. And so for her to be your number on an artist isn't that big of a deal. But to be compared to the other Swifties and to emerge is 0.5%..

00:10:46

0.05, Jackie.

00:10:48

That's a little scary. What was Margot?

00:10:50

I don't know. I keep looking to see if anyone is bigger than me. I don't know if they go lower than 0.05% because it's literally less than 1%. I don't know. But yeah, it does feel good. And I think that Especially in recent years, it's become a form of social currency to be a Taylor Swift fan. You go to the Aries tour, you travel, you wear cute outfits. Some people, I feel, are definitely phoning it in. Me and Margot have this one influencer who we literally send back their content.

00:11:10

Text me their name right now. Do I know who it is?

00:11:14

I don't know, actually. It's a multi-platform. I'll tell you later. You probably don't know this person. We send back their content back and forth because we know that this person is a fake Taylor Swift fan and decided one day to be one.

00:11:26

See, I want to see her, Spotify-wrapped or his.

00:11:29

Yeah, I got to check.

00:11:31

Right?

00:11:32

Yeah.

00:11:33

So it's not without its merit, but it's not what it used to be. I'm finding serious flaws. There is something like, even last year, Hot Dog by Mickey Mouse didn't crack Top 100, and that was our song of the Year in the Kids realm. So it's not like they're keeping off kids songs because my one, two, three, four.

00:11:48

Do you think that maybe there are certain kids songs like Mickey Mouse, like Moana, that they exclude from the algorithm because they're so popular?

00:11:57

You would think so. They're like, Okay, we're trying not to give you a kids Spotify-wrapped. However, Bluey as my number one. Then also last year, Hot Dog was the song we played most for Mickey Mouse.

00:12:07

I'm so glad that year is behind us, honestly.

00:12:10

Donald went to Courtney from the same album was on my top 100, but Hot Dog wasn't. Make it make sense.

00:12:16

I can't.

00:12:18

It's confounding. It does not pass muster.

00:12:20

I do feel that my running of a 5K really influenced my Spotify because that was really probably the time of year where I listened to the most music and focused so much on exactly what I was listening to. And that's why the songs from TTPD that were in my top, they are my favorites, but they're also the ones that I ran to. So Who's Afraid of Little Old Me is such a good running song. Same with I Can Do It with a Broken Heart. Spotify Unwrapped. Unwrapped? Wrapped. Unwrapped is that show from Food Network. Spotify Unwrapped is actually nice because it reminds you of things you did this year. When I was going through, they're like, In August, you listened to a lot of old hits, and that was because we were all in the Hamptons with the family, and I was trying to find music that everybody would appreciate. I appreciate. So it's nice in that sense. It's a trip down memory lane.

00:13:03

What was your number one song of the year?

00:13:06

Who's afraid of little old me. And that I am proud of.

00:13:12

Also, at this point, whenever I like a song, I like it. I add it to my like songs, and I only listen to my like songs. So my top 100 Spotify playlist is just my like songs playlist, and I'm not having fun anymore. And literally in the same order. I'm bored.

00:13:25

Can I tell you something? When they were like, your number one song of the year is, I 100% thought it was going to be, I love you for, I love you for life. I do think it's obviously less competitive. I definitely am in the 1% of top listeners of Katie Perry's new album. I'm surprised she wasn't in my wrap at all. I listened to those four songs, Wonder, Lifetime, Woman's World, 7,000 times.

00:13:49

Yeah. Oh, wow.

00:13:51

Yeah. No, sorry. I don't know if that's true because it wasn't in my wrap.

00:13:53

No, I'm saying that's even a lot. I know I listen to... I listen to Woman's World a lot. All the other songs from her album that I did add to my like songs because I like them. I eventually took off because I couldn't listen to them anymore.

00:14:02

Oh, my God. You're so wrong for that. Those four songs, not the album, just those four songs are in Crayob.

00:14:07

No, they don't pass Mustard when you listen to them too much for me, but obviously not for you.

00:14:14

Can I say something? This is a safe space.

00:14:18

The safest.

00:14:19

We had this big moment yesterday with Mustard. It was the title. Everybody was loving past mustard. They thought it was the best part of the episode. I think people are expecting it, too. Now, joy in toasty vernacular. I have something... I hate the phrase.

00:14:33

Something about- It's because it sounds like mustard.

00:14:36

Yes, and you know I hate mustard.

00:14:37

And you don't like mustard.

00:14:38

But I am not feeling naturally inclined to start throwing it into my everyday life. You don't have to. I don't like it.

00:14:46

Okay, don't do it. That's not why I brought it up.

00:14:49

I just don't like it.

00:14:51

Okay. Does it offend you if I say it?

00:14:54

Honestly, yeah.

00:14:56

That's unfortched for you because I can't be silenced. That's unfortched for you. I can't be censored. But good to know.

00:15:03

We know.

00:15:04

Good to know.

00:15:05

Yeah.

00:15:07

It does not pass muster.

00:15:09

I feel like today's episode is going to be a lot about the numbers. Toast by the numbers.

00:15:14

The first story will be by the numbers. The rest are just normal celeb father.

00:15:19

We didn't get to chat, but there was a couple of things I wanted to make sure you included. So let me just run by. Did you include Sabrina Carpenter as a story? I did. Are you familiar with the lore of the creator who is a part of us? No. No. She's like a streamer. Okay, I'll give you the tape. Okay. Second thing, billboard announcing the number one.

00:15:37

Well, that was going to be in the numbers.

00:15:40

That's fine. I think it should be a part of conversation number one. Yes, agree. Okay, so that's it. Okay. Great. Yeah.

00:15:46

So now, without further a do-do-do-do, here are the Fast Five stories that you need to know.

What can I say?

00:20:28

What can I say? Except you're welcome. Also not on my top 100 when real ones know... Real ones know. That it's there. Our first story, Taylor Swift has been named Spotify's Most Streamed Artist for 2024 with over 26 billion streams. So As we shared, Spotify wrapped us here on an individual level, but a collective level as well.

00:20:49

Right. I forget that there's general stats that get released as well.

00:20:53

Right. So Spotify's global head of editorial announced the top streamed artist globally of the year for the second year in row is mistailored with more than 26.6 billion streams globally this year. If only I knew really what a stream meant. I know. It's just a lot.

00:21:11

Ttpd came out this year, right? Of course. Then Midnight's came out. For her, I guess last year have not released an album and still been the number one streaming artist because Midnight's came out in 2022. That's really impressive. I think this bodes well for Taylor's business and things. The reason why I brought up The Beyoncé thing is because we've been talking. I feel like everybody's been talking about Billboard announcing their big list of the world's greatest pop stars and who's number one, who's number one. They announced yesterday that number one was Beyoncé. It accompanied this big long article with all of her cultural impact and statements on her 25-year-long history. The article actually opened up. There were, I think, 14 or 15 mentions of Taylor Swift in Beyoncé's billboard article, which, seriously, if I'm Beyoncé, I'm mad. I I'd rather, seriously, I'd rather have second place than first, where every caveat is about Taylor. The first paragraph of the whole fucking article ends with literally a statement that says, Well, yes, if you're going to go by the numbers, streams and radio and airplay, if you want to get technical, Taylor Swift is the biggest.

00:22:16

But we think Beyoncé is because of her impact on culture. I would be mad.

00:22:22

Yeah, actually, in their opening argument for explaining why they chose Beyoncé, they actually made a really great case for Taylor. I didn't even realize Taylor had all these accolades. And what it really came down to, they said cultural impact, but also Beyoncé has taken up more of the quarter century because literally she's older, and Taylor didn't come into the game till 8-10 years later.

00:22:42

Beyoncé's amazing music for 25 years. Taylor's been making music for 17 They got her on a technicality.

00:22:46

Just because she's older? Okay, I'm older. I'm older. She has great music videos and photosheets. I'm like, Photo shoots?

00:22:55

Yeah. There's definitely a case for Beyoncé to have been number one. It's such a subjective thing. But the article was literally written by... It was written by somebody who wanted to cast doubt on Beyoncé. It was such a negative article.

00:23:09

No, they wanted to address everything that everyone was going to say in response to this. And in doing that, they made the case.

00:23:16

They invalidated their argument.

00:23:17

Right. And then this is also really interesting. So Spotify's most streamed artist of 2024 globally were announced. Taylor's number one, obviously. And now it's just like, I hate to compare, but like, billboard fucking did this to us. Everyone's always like, Don't compare the Two Greatest Women. Why did we... I wasn't going to. It was billboard who did this because now I'm like, Oh, Taylor was number one, but she's number two.

00:23:36

So where's Beyoncé?

00:23:38

Beyoncé was the number 41 most artist streamed the year globally, and she had an album come out this year, a big album.

00:23:44

Okay, so That's what's so crazy about it, because not every year is going to be number one. That's totally fine. But if it's a year that you released an album and your cultural impact is what Billboard says it is, okay, maybe you're not going to be number one. You'll be in top five, certainly top 10. To be number 41 is actually really crazy. Now I'm looking at Beyoncé critically.

00:24:02

No, now I'm really- I never was. I'm really suss now. I would have never thought much about this. If we weren't having this Beyoncé Taylor conversation, I might not even noticed or made note that she was 41 on the list. But That's really crazy. I thought people listened to Cowboy Carter.

00:24:18

I did.

00:24:19

Was it in your top?

00:24:20

She wasn't your top artist? No, it wasn't. Because I listened to it on release week, and that's how I think how you know the real difference between an album and an album that feels like a real album.

00:24:28

Do you listen to it when it's released? We all listened to hear it, but were people listening to it on repeat?

00:24:34

No, I listened to it to hear it, but then I listened to it for a week or two after, too. I digested it. There are albums from this year, Sabrina Taylor, that I I'm still actively listening to that came out months and months and months ago. I haven't really picked up Cowboy Carter since two weeks past its release.

00:24:51

Right. It sounds like some other people didn't either.

00:24:55

Now, the party line on social media from Swifties, mostly, and people who just don't agree that Beyoncé should be number one, is that Jay-Z cut a check to Billboard to make Beyoncé number one.

00:25:06

I don't think that's true.

00:25:09

Me neither. One, I don't think it's feasible. That's not how these things work. But also, even if he could, do I think Beyoncé and Jay-Z give a flying fuck what Billboard magazine said in some random article? No.

00:25:19

Why does this list- I doubt they know that this list- Why does this Billboard list have everyone in a tizy? On the one hand, I feel like they really stepped in it and regret ever doing it because everybody hates them. But on the other hand, we've never been talking about Billboard more in their editorial department. I can't tell if this is a win. It's a win. It's a win. It's a win. All press is good press, but we're not talking about them favorably. But seriously, this list that's never come out before has everyone in a chokehold about its fairness.

00:25:48

People are also pointing out, it feels like so many people were left off the list. I didn't even realize until I saw it on Liz Wood's story. Pink? Where's pink on this list? Now, we know Kelly Clarkson was left off the list, but we're used to people taking advantage of our girl and sleeping on her.

00:26:09

Pink? Yeah. A pop star, but you put on a bunch of people who are not pop stars.

00:26:14

Correct. You put on bands, which is literally the opposite of a pop star.

00:26:20

Let's go through most artists stream globally because it's just interesting. Number one- The other thing, sorry, because you reminded me, globally, and I think this might be why Beyoncé is so low on this list, is that one of the critiques that I've seen of Beyoncé and why she shouldn't have been number one so much is that we know Beyoncé, and we know Taylor.

00:26:40

Taylor is to us what she is to a fan in Sweden. Her cultural impact is really uniform throughout the globe. What people had said is Beyoncé actually doesn't have that big of a carry in other countries, which is why she might be lower on that list. I would be curious, did they release a US list?

00:26:58

Probably, but I only have the global one- I'm going to find the US one. Up in front of me. So number one, Taylor. Number two, The Weekend. It's always surprising how high up he is. I know, but you know what? And that's pretty consistent year after year.

00:27:10

It's consistent. I've never sought out his music, but I know a lot of it. That's impact.

00:27:14

Yeah, no, but he has like, you only get to this level if you have serious, serious fans, and he just does, whether we are them or not.

00:27:22

It's so crazy.

00:27:24

Number three, Bad Bunny. Number four, Drake. Five, Billy Eilish. Six, Travis Scott. 7, Peso Pluma. 8, Kanye West. 9, Ariana Grande. 10, Fide. Then just skipping down to the people, if you're wondering where they are, number 19, Sabrina. Number 20, Post Malone. 23, Rihanna.

00:27:44

It's crazy that Sabrina had the number one most streamed song. Espresso was the most streamed song, but she's number 19.

00:27:51

I believe the numbers here.

00:27:53

Yeah, me too.

00:27:55

Also, the other artists have years and years of albums people are listening to. For Sabrina, if they're just listening to one song, it doesn't count towards a lot of minutes.

00:28:04

By the way, the top 10 artists in the US, I don't know if they're really beyond 10, but Beyoncé is not in the top 10 for the US.

00:28:11

Okay.

00:28:12

But Metro Boomen is.

00:28:13

Metro Boomen is number 17 globally.

00:28:16

I don't know who that is, but I think I'm old.

00:28:18

Also, Zack Bryant is 24 and Morgan Wallen is 28. I thought that was interesting. Say it again. Zack Bryant is number 24 globally.

00:28:25

I thought you meant age.

00:28:27

No, number 24 globally. Zack Bryant, he's the biggest country artist globally.

00:28:32

He doesn't identify as- Number 28.

00:28:35

Country. Is Morgan Wallen, who I thought was the biggest country artist globally.

00:28:40

Morgan Wallen did not release an album this year. Zack Bryant did.

00:28:43

Okay. And Luke Holmes isn't on this list, which is like, disgraceful that you guys aren't spending your time listening to him.

00:28:49

The top 10 podcast in the US is interesting in the sense that there are a couple of people on here I've never heard of. And Theo Vawn is the third most popular podcast.

00:28:59

On Spotify.

00:29:00

On Spotify, which is true. But have you ever heard of Smosh reads Reddit stories?

00:29:05

No. But will you read the top 10 podcasts?

00:29:09

Let's guess. You guess, okay.

00:29:11

Number one, Joe Rogan. Correct. Number two, maybe Armchair Expert.

00:29:16

No.

00:29:17

The Daily.

00:29:19

No, but they both are on this list.

00:29:20

Okay. Give me a category. Comedy or news.

00:29:26

Swirly.

00:29:28

Swirly? Yeah. Number 2, Swirly?

00:29:30

Yeah.

00:29:31

Call Her Daddy. You're forgetting. Okay. Number 3, Theovonne, you said. Number 4, Armchair Expert?

00:29:39

No. You're thinking shows that we literally have heard of. We've heard of this one, but it's really not our thing.

00:29:47

So it's news? Crime Junkie. No. Crime Junkie.

00:29:49

Yes.

00:29:50

Five. Armchair Expert. No. The other one. No.

00:29:53

The other one. Yes. Six, Armchair- You're never going to guess this one.

00:29:57

Okay, tell me.

00:29:58

I literally didn't even know this person had a podcast.

00:30:01

Bill Maher.

00:30:03

No, similar.

00:30:05

John Stewart.

00:30:06

No. Take a right turn.

00:30:10

Ben Shapiro.

00:30:12

A little more right.

00:30:13

More? Megan Kelly?

00:30:15

More.

00:30:17

Oh, not Huberman.

00:30:19

No.

00:30:20

Keep going right.

00:30:21

I bet you don't know this person as a podcast.

00:30:23

Oh, Doug Carlson?

00:30:24

Yes.

00:30:25

Eight.

00:30:26

Are we up to eight? You're up to seven. And so someone you've mentioned.

00:30:29

Armjew.

00:30:30

No.

00:30:33

Ben Shapiro.

00:30:35

No.

00:30:35

Who else did I mention? Megan Kelly.

00:30:38

We talked about him a lot this year.

00:30:41

And I ready my- Was it this year? Bill Maher, Tim Dylan. Hubermeister. Oh, Huberman. Sorry. Okay.

00:30:46

Yeah.

00:30:46

Number 9.

00:30:48

8. You're up to? Oh. Just. Yes. And then 9 and 10 are the shows I hadn't heard of, Smosh reads, Reddit stories, and the Sean Ryan show.

00:30:59

Okay. Cool. That's fun.

00:31:03

I love stats like this.

00:31:05

And it sounds like people are having fun with their podcasts.

00:31:09

Sort of. Oh, and you know Apple Music did their own... It's called Apple Music Replay. Taylor was also the number one artist, but I'm really not interested in the rest of there.

00:31:16

I would want Apple's podcast.

00:31:19

Yes, I actually would love that because that's where most people listen to podcasts.

00:31:23

Yeah, so that would be interesting. I'm not interested in their music.

00:31:27

It's just... No.

00:31:29

So that's the year in music.

00:31:33

It was a very good year.

00:31:36

It was a good year. And it reminded me because the only song in my top five that wasn't children's music was We Can't Be Friends by Ariana Grande. And I just want to say I love that song. I'm listening to it again, Having A Renaissance, and she was snubbed by the Grammys. The amount of streams on that song, it's like over a billion compared to other songs that were nominated that didn't have that. And I feel like when they were doing the nominations, she was out of fashion because of the affair her, and people weren't about her. And now everyone's loving her because of Wicked. And they were two weeks too early with their nomination. Because I feel like if it was now, now they shut Ariana Grande out of the Grammys. Really want to do that. She's the biggest star in the world right now. Cool.

00:32:12

And now she's not going to come.

00:32:13

Yeah, cool. You played yourself.

00:32:15

For best pop vocal album.

00:32:19

She should have been nominated for Song of the Year with That. That's it.

00:32:22

I don't disagree. That's it. I don't disagree.

00:32:24

So you played yourself.

00:32:26

Yeah.

00:32:27

Are you ready for our next story? I am. Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan break up after a year of dating. Some good news of the day.

00:32:39

Oh, my God. Well, it's so layered. Let's just talk about the breakup, because we have long been advocates against this relationship. She can do so much better in so many different... When he was having his salt burn moment and everybody was briefly obsessed with him, and then it turns out like, Oh, man, he's actually been dating Sabrina Carpenter, and she was really on the rise. I loved it. After that, it wasn't working for me. I I don't like it.

00:33:00

Yeah. So they have been on and off for a while, but now it's coming out that they've decided to take a break. I guess that means break up and not get back together. What's the difference between on and off? I don't know. But this seems final, and I'm going to take the win. But what's the bit that you wanted to share?

00:33:16

The reason why it seems final is because something happened. He cheated on Breaner.

00:33:21

Loser.

00:33:22

In early November. Loser SMEEze. Let me tell you the girl. He cheated on somebody.

00:33:28

Disgusting.

00:33:29

She's streamer, TikTokeer, whatever. This was all on DuMoy. Then one of the girls, former friends, Libby Dunn, you know Jim Ness? Dunn from our picture. She confirmed it. She made a TikTok, basically saying, When the person you knew sucks, he's like, Now Everyone knows. Everyone's getting involved. This is what Dumont said, On the closing night of her biggest tour to date in LA, he was busy getting very cozy at San Vicente Bungalows with a blonde, semi-famous LA-based influencer who's particularly big on TikTok. Now, people did their work and they were doing research. Then the girl confirmed it. It was giving very much that girl who said that she had sex with Tommy Fury. But the only difference was this girl wasn't haggard-looking. She's actually very cute and pretty.

00:34:21

We wanted Sabrina and Barry to break up, and they don't have a kid together, and that's good. That's a girl who's a streamer?

00:34:30

Wait, I have to find her name. I don't know why they're making it so hard.

00:34:32

When you keep saying streamer, she plays games on the internet?

00:34:36

What's her name? Oh, yeah. Brecky Hill.

00:34:38

She plays games on the internet.

00:34:41

She's like TikTok. I saw somewhere that she was a streamer. I don't really know I don't know what that means. She's a social media personality with over 4 million followers on TikTok, so maybe she's just a TikToke.

00:34:49

Okay. She spends the Libby Dunn.

00:34:54

I think at one point, I think they had a falling out.

00:34:56

I'm team Libby.

00:34:59

When they The gossip gained traction. Many users on social media began to criticize Hill for seemingly capitalizing on the situation. She quickly became a focal point in the speculation after she reposted several TikToks discussing the breakup. She was flexing like, Yeah, look, they broke up, and it was me reposting these videos. It's me. She shared them shortly after the rumors began circulating, and then it led to further rumors linking her. She's very subtly confirming and proud of the fact. While I didn't want these two to break up, being a home-wrecking slut, sorry, is nothing to be proud of.

00:35:36

We still don't like you, but I'm glad they broke up. I'm sorry that Brainer is going through heartbreak, but it's going to make her stronger. I just think it's so crazy. It's going to lead her to the person she's meant to be with.

00:35:49

You can be Brainer, top of the world, top of the heap. Literally the most gorgeous girl on the planet, having success like you've never seen. You're literally doing charity being with this rat face, ugly man. He has the audacity on a night that's important to you to step out on you.

00:36:08

No, it's so crazy.

00:36:10

If you've ever been cheated on, this actually should make you feel good. There's nothing wrong with you. Yeah. No, it's- It happens to the best of us. Yeah.

00:36:18

It's a gift because it shows you who this person is, and it takes you out of this relationship you shouldn't be in.

00:36:26

That's the %. She should not be with this man. So, yeah, everything Everything is moot because we're happy about them. But wrong is wrong and right is right. It's true. It shouldn't have gone down this way.

00:36:37

It should have gone down because Sabrina woke up one day and took her goggles off, her Barry goggles, and said, I don't want to be here anymore.

00:36:47

Where as a culture did we land on the word slut? At one point, that was getting you canceled. Then Amber Rose, that brought it back.

00:36:55

Taylor has that song.

00:36:57

I understand why it's derogatory I did just use it, but is my career over?

00:37:03

I think it's okay. I think it's a good word. It's descriptive.

00:37:08

I like that we had to stop using it because maybe it was getting overused. Now, if somebody's using it like you're a slut. It feels sharp. Whereas maybe at one point, it was dull. We were overusing it too much.

00:37:21

Yeah. You were calling people it for just being...

00:37:25

Like wearing a short skirt.

00:37:26

Sorry, that doesn't make you a slut. Yeah, just not called It doesn't mean that the word doesn't exist and that it doesn't have a meaning.

00:37:35

I think the problem, one of the issues was, what's the male equivalent? And now I feel like we have a few, like fuckboy. Why can't a man be a Whore.

00:37:45

Yeah, he can. Yeah. Man whore.

00:37:47

We literally have that word. Whore is a good word, too.

00:37:50

Whore. I also like a hooker.

00:37:54

Do I like the word hooker? That's a good question. Let me think.

00:37:59

No, it doesn't The word slut feels like a tongue lashing. But I just like, Oh, that hooker.

00:38:08

Yeah, that's good, too. It's good.

00:38:11

Are you ready for our next story?

00:38:14

But if they call me a slut.

00:38:17

I don't like that song, though.

00:38:18

I actually agree. When I saw the title of the bonus tracks for 1989, and there was one called All Caps Slut, exclamation point, I thought it was going to be like, Shout out to my ex, slut. Something really pop anthemy. It was giving slow ballad slut.

00:38:34

Oh, by the way, I just need to make a note because of the chart data that we have. Let me see if she's here at all because I'm not seeing Charlie XX.

00:38:45

That's actually surprising because Brad was Brad.

00:38:48

They have you thinking that Brad took over the world. It took over the internet.

00:38:52

Yeah, there was a conspiracy theory that Brad is an industry plan.

00:38:56

Brad is an industry plan. Was there a theory outside of me?

00:39:00

Yeah, I saw it on Twitter.

00:39:00

I need to meet my people.

00:39:02

That Brad's in a simulation or something. Because if you look culturally, Brad is everywhere. I mean, it became one of the presidential nominees esthetic for her campaign. You would think it was like, GDP She's on a CD level, and she is noticeably missing.

00:39:18

They're saying, Brad should be the album of the year. She wasn't top 50 stream artist globally.

00:39:23

I didn't know that because I actually would say, Brad was the album of the year because the simulation made me think that.

00:39:29

Maybe you just I forgot to take your VR goggles off.

00:39:32

Yeah, perhaps.

00:39:33

That's just worth noting. It is. Our third story is seriously so crazy.

00:39:42

Is it Azalea Banks versus Maddie Healey?

00:39:44

No, it's Vicky Gumbelson on the Vile Files. Vicky Gunvillson- I'm obsessed. Vicky Gumbelson was caught trash-talking nick Viles' podcast in a shocking hot mic moment post-interview. So Vicky Gunvillson went on the Vile Files remotely from the beach. She called in. She did a little interview.

00:40:00

She was so in Puerto Vallarta. She was whipping it up at Andales.

00:40:04

A hundred %. And then they say their goodbyes, and she forgot to end the Zoom call, of course, and starts talking about the show, and they left it in. She goes, That was a favor to her dad. He's got seven million views. Unclear who's dad, who's views.

00:40:18

So at first, I was thinking that she was saying she was doing it as a favor to Natalie, who's Nick's co-host and his wife, Natalie's dad or something. Maybe they know each other. Maybe he's a farmer. But then she was like, he's got seven million views. I'm pretty sure they were... I think Vicky thinks that Natalie is Nick's son. Nick's daughter. Excuse me.

00:40:38

Yeah. I think seven million views has to do with the show. Then she goes on to explain his credential. She goes, I was a guest on his show. He's got his own network, his own show, his own thing. I've never heard of him. She went on to mispronounce his last name. I heard her say nick Biles, but maybe she said nick Viles. Either way, wrong.

00:40:59

Jackie, I just saw the funniest TikTok about nick Viles' last name pronunciation. Because people always say, and it's so true, the Vile files is probably one of the best titled podcasts on the planet. Except when you do the proper research and you find out that nick Vial's last name is actually nick Vial.

00:41:18

Yeah, and he's told us, I know that somewhere.

00:41:21

And anytime he's ever been... They were playing in his TikTok, old clips of him on The Bachelor, and it was pronounced everywhere, nick Vial. So it's actually the Vial files. It's the tiniest flaw in a otherwise perfect title, and it was cracking me up. I think everybody just started... Everybody ignored the proper pronunciation of his name, so we just leaned into it. Well, they're calling me Vial anyway. I might as well take the Vial files.

00:41:45

The Vial files is very fun to me.

00:41:48

Now, the internet is divided on whether or not nick should have kept in this hot mic moment. Because at the end of the day, Vicky didn't say anything outright terrible. Just like, every time... First of all, I so relate to Vicky on this. Anytime I hang up, whether it's someone I know, customer service, and I'm on the beach, especially having a cocktail. I'm saying something nasty about the person I just hung up with. Sorry, it's the human experience. She really didn't even say anything that bad. If this were us, we would send the recording to literally everyone we know, but we would not have shared it publicly as a part of the episode, right?

00:42:23

I don't think so. But I also feel like at the end of the day, she didn't say anything bad. It was just It's like an awkward moment. The only people she was offending were them. It's up to them what they wanted to do. It's not like she said something and they're posting it and it could end her career. I don't really have an issue with them posting it. It's also so Vicky. I'm sure she's cracking up. I don't think she's hiding in her room embarrassed. I think she's like, Oops.

00:42:48

I don't have an issue with them posting it either. I do wonder if this... Because they're a guest-based show, if this has potential repercussions to turn people off.

00:42:56

I don't think so, because I really think most people can be okay to hang up the phone. And he said on this- This is so housewives. They said here, The OC women, I think they have a history of not ending phone calls and then going on to talk shit. It's so congverse with them. I genuinely think it's so harmless. Of course, it's so cringe, but I don't I think it will... I don't think it's bad look for vial pals. And honestly, it's such a funny moment. Everyone's talking about it. It's so funny. We're talking about Vicky. And again, I only have funny thoughts about this. It doesn't make me dislike her or anything. She's just hysterical. And of course, she sells insurance and she's 50 plus. She is not listening to the vial pals. I didn't expect her to be.

00:43:36

Do you think she even knows at this moment? I mean, it's gone so viral.

00:43:39

There's a chance she doesn't even know about this. She's on vacation. That's true. I think it's so funny.

00:43:46

I'm surprised she like this doesn't happen more often. But I guess, really, how hard is it to hang up a Zoom?

00:43:51

Yeah.

00:43:51

She had- Because even if you don't know how to hang up, it could have been that she didn't hang up, but someone from Nick's team did automatically, but nobody hung up. Right.

00:43:59

She She said that she made it... She did also make it clear early in the interview that she didn't want to be there because she said she canceled the interview, and I didn't know that they didn't cancel it, and she's had 400 meetings. So she had to go through with the...

00:44:13

She sounds like a dream guest, honestly.

00:44:15

She's very authentic. And aren't we always asking for authenticity?

00:44:19

Vicky's going to Vicky. Yeah.

00:44:22

And they weren't offended. Natalie was like, She's an icon. This is hysterical. She was like, I was sweating. And yeah, until the clip is over, I'm clenching my butt.

00:44:31

No, because by the way, in the privacy of... She's obviously sitting with a friend or a boyfriend. In the privacy of a... You could say anything.

00:44:37

Of all the things she could have said after hanging up for an interview, she didn't want to be hun. It's actually really not that bad.

00:44:43

No, if I did an interview that for some reason I found offensive. She obviously had a problem with this interview, and I really didn't want to do it, and I hung up and I'm sitting with Ben, I would have been like, these fucking morons. I would have said something like that. You know what? It could have been so much worse.

00:44:56

I think this is actually just funny and fun all around.

00:45:00

Yeah, for the most part, harmless. Yeah.

00:45:03

Are you ready for our next story?

00:45:06

Yeah. We have also Real House Rides in Beverly Hills recap. I totally forgot to mention that at the top of the show.

00:45:10

Yes. Our next story is not funny and fun all around because Chloe Kardashian claims that an old therapist leaked private information from her session to a tabloid. And that's why she did not go to therapy for years and instead sought therapy in the gym.

00:45:23

Oh my God.

00:45:25

She sat down with bustle for an interview published on Tuesday, and she talks about how she turned the gym as a form of therapy after being betrayed by her therapist. She revealed she started working through her mental health struggles with exercise after her former counselor allegedly breached doctor-patient privilege amid her divorce from Lamar. She said, I remember I was going to therapy, and the next thing I knew, something private I told my therapist was on a tabloid. I knew that my therapist disclosed this information to a tabloid because there's no way this could have gotten out there. She did not disclose exactly what her therapist leaked about the marriage. She said the traumatic experience kickstarted her love for fitness. It ruined her relationship with therapy for nearly a decade. She said, I stopped going to therapy and started going in the gym. I needed a release, but I did not trust anyone else anymore. The place that I felt the safest was the gym. She called the experience very jarring and unbelievable and insisted there's not a chance in the world that it came from anyone else. She refused to seek help for years as a result of the betrayal until her older sister, Kim, finally convinced her to give it another shot.

00:46:22

She said, I started when I was 39, noting that her new doctor is really lovely. She said, I really like her. It's actually Kim's therapist. Kim was really adamant. I was like, I'll I'll do this for you. I dragged my feet, and then I was like, Wow, okay, this is good. I needed this. Turns out she had a lot to unpack from the years. Her therapist was like, I think you should come three days a week. She was like, You really need to be here. And it all worked out.

00:46:42

I feel like this is regular people's worst nightmare. I think a lot of people don't go to therapy because the concept of bearing the worst parts of yourself to a human being who technically could run and tell someone is a real fear. Although you're irrelevant. No one cares what's going on in your brain.

00:46:57

I wouldn't even expect that that's a fear of a top-tier fear.

00:47:02

I think it is. I think it keeps people from doing therapy, just saying the quiet part out loud, things you've never said.

00:47:08

Yeah. Well, that's just hard, period, let alone then having to be concerned about a breach of trust. But I wonder if this keeps celebrities out of therapy.

00:47:16

Definitely, because I think it crosses people's mind who aren't celebrities. That fear is probably tenfold when you actually... Your thoughts would be interesting to other people, lots of other people. That HIPAA and that confidentiality, it's like, yeah, it's the law, right? But there's something... You're not handcuffed. This person has free will. They could abide by the HIPAA or not. It's a lot of trust.

00:47:39

They could lose their license.

00:47:40

Yeah, of course. No, there are consequences. She shows soon. But it's not like... I am sure I am 100% sure that woman is no longer a practicing therapist.

00:47:49

Good.

00:47:50

Because also, if she's running in fabulous circles where she's getting recommended to Chloe Kardashian, she's working with other people of note. I don't think Chloe would just let this lady.

00:47:59

Yeah. Also, I think it makes sense to share a therapist with your family members because then the therapist has actually a really good picture of everything that's going on. You can't just talk about the other person, and they just think that other person is the devil and never meet them. It's like, Oh, if she really has all sides separately, she can give informed advice. Not that That's so true. Not that she's going to therapy because of Kim, but I actually think it's like, if she's really in your world, it sounds like a good idea.

00:48:23

Do you remember that episode of Kardashian's Keeping Up with the Kardashian's on E, where they had a family therapist come in all Rob, everyone, Caitlin, they had everyone come sit down. I think it turned into a referendum on Rob.

00:48:35

Rob. Yeah, I do.

00:48:37

That was like, seriously, you... I don't know what they got paid. I think it was just a regular episode of The Kardashian's. You couldn't pay me. I think it's very common for people to go to different versions of therapy, counseling, group therapy on reality TV. I know it's staged, but you're still talking about real things. To me, not only do I as a viewer, I genuinely find it uninteresting, but it's so personal. I wish they would stop doing that.

00:49:01

I wish they would stop doing that.

00:49:03

It's not even juicy.

00:49:05

No, and it's like when someone's finally going to therapy and it's like you're doing it on camera, it's the opposite of what it should be. And I also don't give a shit. Right.

00:49:17

One of the first memories I have of watching somebody go to therapy was, Courtney Kardashian was a very early adapter. She was one of the only girls going to therapy in her family, and she would always film it. I'm like, That's really so crazy. Also, something similar, this This is the second thing that HIPAA violation has happened to the Kardashian's. Remember when Scott entered a rehabilitation program and it was COVID, so it was all done on Zoom, and somebody took a screenshot and sent it to a tabloid.

00:49:38

Yeah. Also, I feel like I remember Jack Taylor going to therapy. I don't care. Then people go to couples therapy on camera for the first time, it's not a good sign. You're not serious about the work.

00:49:50

It's so true. And as a viewer, can't stress enough how uninteresting it is. I really don't give a fuck.

00:49:56

It's a lose-lose. I guess they get to film minutes.

00:50:00

No, I feel so awkward. But she's like, Please get me out of here.

00:50:03

Yeah. No, and it's like, if it's something that you would share to the entire world, what you have no inner thoughts or you're not sharing your inner thoughts, and in that case, it's pointless.

00:50:12

Yeah, that.

00:50:13

00:54:55

Start.

00:54:57

What can I say?

00:55:01

Our final story. A little documentary news because Aaron Rodgers' Enigma is coming to Netflix. Aaron Rodgers has a new docuseries on Netflix that will be chronicling his time and his comeback from his Achilles heel injury.

00:55:16

Pass. Seriously, have you seen the Jets? They are stinking it up. Sorry, Aaron Rodgers. There's no happy ending to the story. Yeah, he came back healthier and what, to play worse than ever. The Aaron Rodgers' story in New York is so depressing and Help us. Seriously, you were supposed to help.

00:55:32

That is so funny. The trailer dropped for Aaron Rodgers Enigma is what it's called.

00:55:38

Okay, Erica Jane.

00:55:39

Okay, Churchill. It's a three-part-What? That Erica Jane quote, I'm an enigma wrapped in riddle and cash, is a derivative of a Churchill quote, which is why she's our queen.

00:55:50

Interesting. Yeah.

00:55:52

It's a three-part documentary series that will come out on December 17th. He talks about losing friendships, family due to his views. He talks it was heartbreaking. He shares about his Achilles heel. Then he also talks about the future of his career. He talked a lot in the trailer about RFK, asking him to be his VP pick, and how when he was down and out, he had two choices, to heal and play football still or run for vice president.

00:56:20

I can't. No, I seriously, this is so unserious. I'm so over Aaron Rodgers. I thought he was cute for a while. That is so crazy.

00:56:24

I thought you were obsessed. That's your boy. No, he was cute. That's your boy.

00:56:28

He was really cute. His celebrity I loved when he dated Danika. I loved, of course, the Olivia Munt. I loved the Shaleen Woodley. Then when he was coming to New York, I was like, woohoo. He just done nothing but disappoint me. Every time he's in the news doing interviews, he's on Zoom in this turnt dark cellar. Yeah, Looking so fabisada and sourposed. He's just really pissing me off.

00:56:49

I'm going to watch this documentary because I feel like a lot is said about Aaron Rodgers, and I don't watch those interviews of him on Pat McAfee talking shit for a living.

00:56:58

But he's just like, Going on Pat Mac, I feel angry all the time.

00:57:02

No, just roasting everyone. Then I only see quotes. I'm like, Oh, Aaron, that's not nice. But I really- No.

00:57:07

By the way, let me tell you where Aaron Rodgers had me. When he was beefing with Jimmy Kimmel, obsessed. I literally dreamed to be.

00:57:15

That's peak Aaron for you.

00:57:16

That's peak Aaron. It just went downhill after there, seriously. The way he had this miraculous recovery, and I was like, he's going to bring... Jackie, seriously, the Jets haven't won a game in weeks. What are you doing, if not helping?

00:57:27

Well, I'll find out in the I want to hear it from Aaron's self. There's much to do about Aaron.

00:57:34

Do you think he's going to talk about Jordan and Jojo?

00:57:36

That's a great question. I think it would have been in the trailer, but I'm going to hold space.

00:57:40

That's a reason to tune in.

00:57:40

That's a reason to tune in. Maybe a little Shalene. He also... That's a reason. Then a big part of this documentary is him talking about his spiritual journey.

00:57:53

Okay, like I said, this is where people, when they go to therapy on reality TV, they lose me. I'm uninterested.

00:57:58

Yeah, but I'm going to Give it a shot. That's December 17th, and it's a good thing to watch with your husband or boyfriend. That's good for everyone. I'm here for it. I'm here for it. I like these documentaries. I can get into those, the Martha one. I like it. Ashley Madison, three episodes, two episodes, and we're done. I learned something great.

00:58:19

Yes. I think the issue is that to carry a documentary, I think you need to be beaming with personality. I think Martha was so successful at that. I'm sure they had tons of footage today to leave the cutting room floor. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm just judging. But Aaron Rodgers doesn't seem like the type of guy who's going to dazzle me through the screen. He just doesn't.

00:58:36

I don't think he's going to dazzle, but I don't think he's boring. As you said, he hops online.

00:58:41

Do you think he affies boring?

00:58:43

I think he affies boring for sure. Like him or dislike him. Everyone's always talking about him. If you're an iron swirly, which I thought that we were, December 17th on Netflix.

00:58:54

He lost me. When he started, he's literally not good at his job. If you're going to talk so much shit, that's fine. But you have to back it up.

00:59:01

Is there a chance that... Is it really his playing that's sinking the team, or is it everyone else?

00:59:07

No, they're not a great team, but you have allegedly one of the league's greatest quarterbacks.

00:59:12

You should be doing better. Tom braided always made it work.

00:59:14

It's right. They can run. There's not much for them to do. Everybody knows a quarterback is the most important one.

00:59:21

Aaron should go to the 49ers because what they need is a star quarterback.

00:59:25

The thing is, I actually don't think... I think actually, Brock Purdy is probably a better current quarterback than Aaron Rodgers.

00:59:33

Yeah, but the thing about the 49ers is that they have spent all their money on talent across the field, and they don't have that franchise quarterback, but they are so amazing because they have so much amazing talent. But if they had an amazing quarterback, they would have won the Super Bowl. That's what I've heard. Even though I love Brock. If anyone says a bad word about him, I will come for you, even though I'm saying a bad word about him. I agree.

00:59:55

There are two quarterbacks who I remember. I don't know if they were the same year, but they were So much hype for them. Joe Burrow, when he's so handsome, but also that Cutie Trevor Lawrence, who, in my opinion, looks like Kylie Kelsey. The two of them are like... Kylie Kelsey? Yes. If you ever look at them, it's giving Hannah Brown and- And Whitney's husband. And Whitney's dad When he doesn't.

01:00:16

Trevor Lawrence.

01:00:17

Kylie Kelly and Trevor Lawrence have the same exact face. You'll see. And they also have the same hair. Oh, cute. Because he has long blonde hair.

01:00:22

I've never seen him with his helmet off.

01:00:25

No, he's cute, and his wife is expecting. They're really cute. There was a lot of hype. They were these huge college football players, and then they got drafted to bad teams. They're wasting away on these two. No, I'm sorry to everyone on the green and orange teams, but like, weenie. One of them needs to go to the Niners.

01:00:43

Yeah, but they don't have the budget because they pay everyone else a lot. That works for them, too. Christian.

01:00:49

What was the story? Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers, yeah. Speaking of television, let's dive into our Real House, West of Beverly Hills weekly recap. Last night was another episode. And seriously, two moments they've been teasing. This season thus far, we're both in the episode, and they were both so anticlimactic. One, Dorit falling. How many times we have to watch it? It was actually embarrassing for her. And two, God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason. Listen.

01:01:14

Yeah. No, the fact that they hit us with a to be continued over that dinner spat, it's really not voting well for the season.

01:01:20

The bar is in hell.

01:01:22

I understand you want to drag the rest of the fight till the next episode, but don't give us to be continued. I'm not on the edge of my seat, and I did want to see pre. It's not worthy. I wanted to see previews for next week. That's the thing that's annoying about TBC. We don't get previews for next week. I need to be a little titulated because I like the women of Beverly Hills. Even when they're just sitting around the table, they're fun to watch. But this season isn't great. I don't really know how much better it's going to get, especially because the cornerstone of the season is the fight between Kyle and Doreet, which should be meaty because they were really close. They've been on forever. The issue, though, is that the reason why they're feuting is very confusing. So it's hard for us to g galvanize and get on someone's side because I don't know what the fuck is going on.

01:02:04

Same, except that I felt last night at that dinner was the most clarity we've gotten up until this point where they were pulling out examples because we knew the Bravo Con thing, which was so nothing. I'm glad they showed that clip of Erica. I'm glad Erica is taking a little bit of a stand while also staying in the middle. I'm glad they showed her reaction because it's such a nothing burger. I felt like that conversation, and I'm sure we'll see the other half of it, was such a bad look for Kyle because she looked so small and so stupid. Every example. Then they're cutting to the clip, what was the second one? Teddy. Oh, you didn't speak up for Teddy. Are you fucking okay? Clearly, Kyle had a horrible time at BravoCon and decided to take it all out. It was Dorit's fault, and she's not letting it go. It was such a bad episode for Kyle because I also think the sit down with Mauricio was so awkward. I think we got a little bit more clarity into the current status of their relationship, which is that Mauricio's out and Kyle would be in if he would be in.

01:02:55

It's not even clear if Kyle would be in. But then it makes it so confusing with Morgan Wade.

01:02:58

They split What up? Mauricio, I think, had a foot out the door, but Kyle was also pushing him out the door. Now, she couldn't even answer the question, Do you want to get back together with Mauricio? Because she doesn't know. They're saying he's going to Greece, which we know there's a picture of him with the girl. I think that probably comes out next week, and that's going to be Earth-shattering for Kyle because she just thinks he's living in his apartment. It's a weird spot that they're in.

01:03:25

Yeah. I felt like the whole episode was just like, Kyle's so hard to root for. You have sympathy that she's going through this thing, but so is Dorit. Dorit, her situation seems toxic now. Her and PK aren't getting along. He has this alcohol problem. The kids are losing their mind. Her kids are younger. Her situation, not that I would ever want to be in either of them, but I'd rather be in Kyle's. You know Doreet and PK definitely have some fucking money issues that they've never really fully dived into, and a divorce will exasperate that. There's a lot going on in Dorit. I feel like she's keeping it together for the most part. I do feel in the argument, she is right. I think she has a lot to be mad at Kyle about. I think behind the scenes, the way she explains it, I could actually see their friendship being unbalanced and Kyle's in charge, and she's just tired of being a dormat.

01:04:06

It's like, Dorit could make an infraction, and Kyle would punish her differently than she would punish anyone else in the group.

01:04:13

When Kyle's like, You're acting so different, Doreet's like, Yeah, I'm not letting you push me around anymore. I'm like, That's clearly an issue for you, so let's get into it. What the hell was... It was brought up twice by Sutton and García. You know I love García. Sometimes she's like a dog with a bone with the wrong things. Her and Sutton being so offended that Boze and Doreet were having a conversation at the end of the table. Then García was like, I mean, give us a chance to get to know Boes. Fucking try. Doreet went to her house.

01:04:42

Make an effort. No, Doreet is talking at the end of the table to Boes about her personal life. Meanwhile, every time Doreet speaks, you say she talks too much, but she should share these personal details with you, even though you don't like listening to her speak. That was so transparent to me. It's like, you either just want to hear about Doreet's pain, or you just want to find It's not my fault with Doreet. But it's a long table. It's not even a circular table. There's going to be conversations at one end and conversations at the other, and like, sorry that you're at this end. And then they brought it up again. It's not a big deal. Trying to make it seem like Doreet was doing something wrong. Doreet's obviously going through something. She's talking to a person across the table for her, why she's in a bad stressful mood.

01:05:17

I actually don't think it's weird that Doreet met this person for the first time and unloaded on her. I think that that's oddly very common. Everyone in the group has... They know PK. Everyone has their preconceived notions. This is just a fresh person who seems really sound of mind and seems smart, and maybe she would give good advice. I could see you just being drawn to her energy.

01:05:36

It's literally not weird. When Garcelle's saying she's getting close to Boze because Boze doesn't know, like to read or have history with her, that's what someone who's so on the It's like Danielle Stab would do, who it's like, I literally have no other friends in this group, so I'm going to be friend a new person. That's literally not what's going on here. They obviously just have things in common, a connection. That's literally what happens when you meet people. You either have connection with them or you don't.

01:06:02

Let me tell you something else García was doing that was bothering me. You know I ride for her, but sometimes she's really hard to defend. A lot of the women were doing this in their confessionals, making fun of Cathy's afternoon of relay races. Meanwhile, they cut to them on the beach. The women are laughing. I've never seen them have so much fun. First of all, you know that's my dream afternoon, playing DuckDuck Goose. I love games like that. I actually, inspo, I think Cathy is so funny. The whole point of the trip was like, Kyle's going through a lot. Dorit's going, just to get everyone to laugh and relax. It's not supposed to be so serious. Mission accomplished. Everybody in their confessionals being What are we, 11? It's funny. Stop.

01:06:32

Everybody was having a good time. They were. It was really funny. The trip looked amazing. I'm glad that Cathy planned the trip. I like seeing Cathy doing Cathy things, and I loved those hats. I thought everybody who put the hat on looked amazing in the hat.

01:06:46

I agree.

01:06:47

Even Erica said it was small on her head. She looked so... The minute the lamb shade came down, everyone looked fantastic. I want one.

01:06:54

There was a sad moment in the episode when they were at Cathy's Kitchen, getting ready to get on the sprinter, and Jennifer Tilly comes in with her sick Louis Vuitton travel cases. And Erica's looking... It wasn't even so much envy. It was like a longing. There was a time where she had a relationship with Louis Vuitton. If she wanted a custom Hollywood Walk of Fame hat box, it was like a glimpse into a former life. And she lives well, and she could buy herself nice things, but that's another level. And it made me sad for her.

01:07:18

Yeah, I love her so much.

01:07:21

She's having an amazing season.

01:07:23

I want just the best for her. She's worked so hard to sustain a lifestyle, to live the way that she used to live on a single income, not stealing from victims' lifestyle. From orphans and widows. She's just so great. She's a really great friend. She's really a voice of reason. I wish she would get involved a little bit more, but I understand. She had a couple of really hard seasons where she was the center We have a conversation all the time, and I think right now she's just like, Okay, you guys take the heat for a second.

01:07:49

She's happy taking a back seat. I need a billionaire businessman bow for her today.

01:07:55

Yeah, me as well, even though I don't even know if she would go for that anymore. She's just been so burned.

01:08:00

She's scarred.

01:08:01

We found out about Gilema for Tilly and her income. Her husband was the Simpson. She has 10% of the Simpson, and no one thought it was- She didn't say 10%, she just said a piece. Oh, did she not say 10%?

01:08:12

No. When they were getting divorced, it was just a popular show. They had no idea it was going to go on for, what is it, their 45th season. The only thing that confuses me is her house being so small. I guess she's just one person. How big of a house do you need? But if I owned a chunk of the Simpson, I would have a bigger house. But different strokes.

01:08:28

Different strokes for different folks.

01:08:33

I love a rich person on this show, so I have no problem with her. I don't find she adds much. I think she's a little koofy. But I'll hold off until I see more.

01:08:43

Yeah. No, in this expectation that We all know and love Jennifer Tilly, can we get... We got to know her a little bit last night, so the context was good, but still, I don't know her. Who is this person?

01:08:53

I think her ex-husband, by the way, and they didn't mention this, but I saw it on Twitter, he has passed away. Oh, sad. I think he passed away in 2015 from cancer, which I thought was odd that they didn't show that. Yeah. Maybe her and Boze will connect.

01:09:05

Perhaps.

01:09:07

It was like a nothing burger episode, but nice to see the gals being rich. Got to go to Oceanside.

01:09:12

Learning about new destinations, being party and fashionable.

01:09:17

Yeah. It's always a pleasant watch because of that.

01:09:19

I think they should wear this hat to the pardon night.

01:09:21
