We have major developments right now. At least one United States senator has now come out calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked against Donald Trump. After a speech this morning at Davos, Switzerland, that he has been ridiculed by world leaders, Europeans, and even Americans, to the point where during the speech, he mixed up Greenland and Iceland, two nations, and he started talking about how the stock market was falling in the United States because of Iceland, even though it was because of his threats to take over Greenland. And now, Caroline Levet, the White House Press Secretary, is trying to gaslight you, the American public, over the fact that, no, he didn't mix anything up because Greenland is a piece of ice. I can't really make these things up, but I want to talk through what happened this morning, the reaction, now a 25th Amendment invocation, and how folks on Capitol Hill are reacting to some of the things Donald Trump is doing. So make sure to like, comment, share, and subscribe. Please consider supporting my work today by subscribing to my sub stack. Click the link below. Senator Ed Markey has become the first United States Senator to now come out and say that it is time to invoke the 25th Amendment.

He's not the only one. There are other members of the House of Representatives, including Suhas Suburbaniam from Virginia, along with Yasmin Ansari, both of whom have said that it is time to invoke the 25th Amendment. To invoke the 25th Amendment, this is a very difficult process. It'll be incumbent on Trump cabinet officials to invoke. If you ask me whether this would ever happen, my answer would be probably not, just because his own cabinet would have to invoke the 25th Amendment. And for the record, that's not going to happen under the President. But it is notable that more members of Congress, senators, House members who had previously been reluctant to talk about impeachment, removal, all this stuff, are now publicly talking about it. And it comes as Donald Trump today mixed up Iceland and Greenland in Davos. I want you to take a listen.

00:01:55

Iceland. So Iceland's already cost us a lot of money. I don't know that they'd be there for us. They're not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you. Our stock market took the first dip yesterday because of Iceland. So Iceland's already cost us a lot of money. But that dip is peanuts compared to what it's gone up.

00:02:16

So he says that the stock market yesterday took a dip because of Iceland. The truth is, the stock market took a dip because of Greenland. And that wasn't the only time that he mixed up Iceland and Greenland in the speech. I want you to take a listen.

00:02:30

Europe, I'm helping NATO. And until the last few days, when I told them about Iceland, they loved me. They called me Daddy, right? The last time. Very smart man said, he's our Daddy. He's running it. I was like running it. I went from running it to being a terrible human being.

00:02:50

So he mixed up Iceland and Greenland twice. I mean, that's pretty clear. And when the White House was asked about it, this is what Caroline's response was, quote, No, he didn't. His written remarks Marks referred to Greenland as a piece of ice because that's what it is. You're the only one mixing anything up here. And then she proceeded to show a picture that was a screenshot of Google when you look up what Greenland is that shows that there's ice in Greenland. But I think you, as the American public, you're smarter than this, I would assume, right? I played the videos for you. They're pretty clear as to what Donald Trump was saying. He was talking about the stock market falling because of Iceland, when in reality, it's of Greenland. He was talking about the fact that European countries don't really like him because of, quote, Iceland, but he's not really doing much with Iceland. It's all about Greenland. So he mixed it up twice despite the fact that Caroline Now, once to gaslight you into thinking that's actually not what he said, even though that is what he said. Now, Gavin Newsom, the California governor, was in attendance in Davos, and he was asked what his response was, essentially to Trump's speech.

00:04:01

I want you to take a listen.

00:04:03

It's a little nonplus.

00:04:04

Did it stand out to you that he said Iceland multiple times when he was talking about Greenland?

00:04:10

Every time a windmill turns, it costs $1,000. A lot of stuff stands out. None of this is normalized. There's a normalization of deviancy and consciousness and comments and commentary. Noah, the President, he's held to the curve. He's graded on a curve. I mean, it's really some Job dropping and remarkable statements that just fly in the face of facts and evidence and common sense. But you've heard them over and over and over again. Again, for the European audience, that may have been a new speech. My God, there wasn't anything new about that speech for the American audience. The only thing that was new is he said he's willing to negotiate. But wait a second, that's not new either, because the EU has been saying we wanted to negotiate for over a year.

00:04:59

You criticized world leaders when you got here saying that some of these- Now, Mike Johnson, the speaker of the House, was asked about Trump's speech, and well, he said he just didn't hear it. Republicans in the Senate have been increasing pressure on you to bring articles of enforcement against- Hold on.

00:05:17

Wrong Cliff. Try this one.

00:05:19

Can you recognize the rampant threat of Russia and military aggression in the US?

00:05:24

Returned from Europe. The President has threatened tariffs on European and allies who are opposing his plans in Denmark and Greenland. Do you think that's a fair strategy? When does Congress have to get involved?

00:05:41

Let's talk about Greenland. I know the President, I think he may still be speaking there. I didn't see any of that because we were in a Republican conference meeting during the timing of his speech. It was bad timing on my part. I look forward to seeing it. My staff was handing me little notes about some of the things he was saying. I know that he has said that we will not have troops involved in Greenland. As I had been saying for days- He didn't see it.

00:06:04

Now, he was asked also about Trump's invitation to have Russia on the Board of Peace. I want you to take a listen to his response.

00:06:10

The necessity of Greenland as a strategic point. Nevertheless, Donald Trump has nominated Vladimir Putin as a member of the Board of Peace for Gaza. Do you have any reaction?

00:06:20

I think there's a long list of people nominated for the Board of Peace, and I think some of the details are still being determined. For a billion dollars, you get a permanent seat. I saw over the weekend. I've not dug into the details of that. It's not within our purview. It's an administration project, but I think it's one that's greatly welcomed. We need a Board of peace there. Because of American strength, we ended that conflict there, and we got the hostage released, all but one who's deceased so far. The peace has to be continued. It's very fragile. It's a tender box there, as you know, that region. But because of President Trump's bold leadership. We were able to end that conflict, and everybody knows that. We're going to trust that insight, the administration, to sort that out, to figure it out. We have very bright people over there working on it, our envois, Witkopf and the rest of the team.

00:07:16

He doesn't know anything about that either. I think there's a very interesting situation happening right now, and it's the fact that Donald Trump is abroad, hurting America's alliances with places like Europe and European nations. And at home, you have a Congress that's really not doing much. A Congress that literally is saying, We don't know anything that's happening. Mike Johnson literally says, He doesn't really know anything that's happening. And then at the same time, you have a press secretary who is now trying to gaslight you into saying that Trump mixed up Greenland and Iceland multiple times, saying that he didn't do that when we have videotapes showing that he did. That's where we're at right now. Make sure to like, comment, share, and subscribe. I think a lot more people need to see this.
