Episode summary

This episode features Ken Guoin, founder of Ophora Water, discussing oxygen-enriched water and why he believes conventional drinking water falls short. The conversation covers how hydration may affect energy, metabolism and appetite, the differences between reverse-osmosis and oxygen-enriched water, and the guest's views on chlorine, plastics and pharmaceuticals in tap and shower water.

Ken argues that oxygen can be absorbed through the skin and that water quality shapes long-term health. The host shares his own experience with dehydration and irregular heart rhythms.

Many health claims are presented as personal experience or the guest's perspective and have not been clinically established, so listeners can weigh them carefully.

In this episode Dylan Gemelli, Ken Guoin

00:00:00

This water's changed my life.

00:00:01

So this water has 40 parts per million of stable unbound oxygen. That's almost 1,000 times more than any other bottled water on the shelf.

00:00:09

Ben's a close friend of mine. He told me immediately, he said, this is the best water on the planet, you have to have it. Took me on a tour, said his pool had this water in it, his whole house.

00:00:18

We've actually discovered that you can absorb more oxygen through your skin, your largest organ, than you can drinking it. I'm 76 years old. I soak in this water every day. I haven't had a bath or a shower in years. I hot tub every morning. As an inventor, I did what I always do. And I just started drinking a shit ton of this water thinking it's either gonna kill me or heal me, right? The water improvement industry is pretty much run by plumbers, which is crazy. Because if plumbers ran the world, we'd still all be on horseback because they don't like to change anything.

00:00:47

Where does the water come from?

00:00:48

I can actually take a cow pond and convert.

Here's an interesting question. How much do you actually know about the way your everyday habits are supporting how you age? We hear so much about longevity right now. Sleep, Protein, strength training, nutrition— all of these things matter. But there's another layer that doesn't get nearly as much attention as it should. What's happening inside your cells? Your mitochondria produce the cellular energy that your body relies upon every day. And mitochondrial dysfunction, that's considered a central hallmark of aging. And that's why I've been so interested in the work Timeline does with Mitopure. Mitopure is their pure and patented form of urolithin A. It supports mitochondrial function and cellular renewal by activating mitophagy, your body's natural process for clearing out damaged mitochondria. But rather than just tell you about it, Timeline wants you to think about your own longevity habits. So they've created a longevity quiz that takes just a few minutes, and it looks at some of the everyday habits that can support healthy aging. And the best part? If you complete the quiz, Timeline will send you a free sample of Mitapure gummies. So take the quiz, Learn a little bit more about how you're supporting the way you age and try MitoPeer for yourself.

00:02:03

Go to timeline.com/jameli to take the longevity quiz and get your free gummies. That's timeline.com/jameli. All right, everybody, welcome back to the Dylan Gemelli Podcast. So I think it's been about a month and a half or 2 months, and I was in Florida, and most of you know I was filming with Ben Azadi down there. And we sat down. He asked me if I wanted some water. I said, of course I do. So, he showed me these, which immediately, you see these bottles and you're intrigued. I have not seen these around. And I'm pretty versed on water. And he told me immediately, he said, this is the best water on the planet. You have to have it. Took me on a tour, said his pool had this water in it, his whole house. Yeah. So, Ben's a close friend of mine and I started quizzing him all the way down. He said, don't worry, I'll get you connected. when you get home. As soon as I got home, got me set up, connected, and ever since then, this water's changed my life. And, I have learned quite a bit about it. I'm still not as versed as I want to be, but I can tell you this, I had some problems going on personally because the way that I train and the way that I don't drink enough water and what I was drinking was reverse osmosis and— also not realizing it was stripping everything out.

00:03:23

Right.

00:03:24

This has been game-changing for me. But, as I was telling my friend here beforehand, my cat is gone from playful but vibrant and it melts my heart daily. And, it's actually put me in a far greater mood. So, this is Ophora Water. And, my guest today is actually the founder and Chief Science Officer of Ophora that I am so blessed to meet. He drove a long way to come and see me. I think it was an 8-hour drive, and I told him it was about 7.5 too long for my liking.

00:03:58

Yeah.

00:03:59

But, I want to welcome my good friend now, Ken Gawyan.

00:04:05

Thank you. Thanks for inviting me. It's nice to be here.

00:04:08

Man, I appreciate you taking the time to come down here. Another good friend of mine, Dr. Pompa, loves you as you know.

00:04:14

Yeah, we love Dr. Pompa.

00:04:16

Well, he spoke extremely highly, wanted me to tell you hello as well. But, Ken, I have really, really never drank this much water in my life. And, I'm a high-level athlete. I train, I overtrain, let's put it that way. And, this water is something I look forward to.

00:04:38

Right.

00:04:39

It's not just, oh, I need a nice cold cup of water when I feel like it. I actually, I'm drinking from the moment I get up and even honestly right before I go to bed, probably too much.

00:04:49

Yeah.

00:04:49

But it's so good. Why does this water taste so good?

00:04:53

Well, it's because of the nanopurification. We basically have 14 different levels of filtration. So, this water is filtered down to 0.0001 microns in the oxygen. So, the oxygen makes it smooth. But so what you're noticing is for the first time in your life, you're actually hydrating on a cellular level. Whereas before, I mean, if you go to the water aisle at Whole Foods and you look at all that bottled water, it's basically produced by co-packers. It's just RO water. And RO water is pure, but it's also dead acidic water. So what was happening with all that water you're drinking, you're just peeing it out. Mm-hmm. The one thing you'll notice, even with all the water that you're drinking, Afora water that you're drinking, you're not peeing as much.

00:05:47

No.

00:05:48

It's because it's hydrating your cells. And, you know, all water, when you— like, the first thing you do when you get up in the morning, of course, you're a little bit dehydrated, is when you drink that first glass of water, that goes directly into your brain. And, I mean, if you look at a brain that's dehydrated, it's the size of an acorn. So, you know, that's why when you're dehydrated, you know, you're, you're ditzy and, you know, you know, you can't think straight. So, so for the first time in your life, you are actually hydrating on a cellular level. That's a big deal because this water is nano-purified. It penetrates your cells and it drives this oxygen deep in your cells. So this water has 40 parts per million of stable and bound oxygen. That's almost 1,000 times more than any other bottled water on the shelf that you'll find. So And oxygen, it creates energy. So it amps up your mitochondria and speeds up your metabolism. The other thing, I don't know if you've noticed it, but this water, it kind of diminishes your appetite.

00:06:56

Yeah.

00:06:57

So you have to be careful. Yeah, I've lost weight since I've been drinking it. And I'm not trying to lose— I don't need to lose weight. But for people who do want to lose weight, it literally slays your appetite.

00:07:08

You know, it's funny that you say that, 'cause I'm a nutritionist for 15 years, and obviously I'm dialed in, but I track everything every day. I'm just that guy. And I'm telling you, since now that you mentioned it, 'cause I thought, I told my wife, I said, you know, I only eat now X amount of calories as opposed to what I was eating. It's like 300 or 400 less, and I couldn't figure out why. Yeah,

00:07:32

that's why.

00:07:33

So, oh, I guess it makes sense.

00:07:35

Yeah, it speeds up your mitochondria, and for some reason it dampens your appetite. And, uh, that's just an extra benefit of the water for people that are trying to lose weight.

00:07:45

Well, that clears that up for me because I was wondering if there was something wrong with me because it's not like I train less. No. And I might— it's not like I'm changing my sleeping patterns. I'm sleeping a little more. But that's another thing too that I've noticed. And, and you tell me, you know, sometimes when you drink a lot of water, you tend to feel like kind of heavy or kind of bloated, bloated, and you feel like you can feel it,

00:08:07

right?

00:08:07

I don't get that when I slam these.

00:08:09

No, you're— this water is penetrating all your So it's— the other water that you were drinking, you're just peeing it out. Mm-hmm. And that's a big difference. So you're truly hydrating at a cellular level and, you know, optimum health is all about hydration and people today are dehydrated. I mean, the other thing you've noticed is you're drinking more water.

00:08:33

Yeah.

00:08:35

And, you know, I find people— I mean, it's amazing how many people I talk to that don't even drink water. They don't like the way it tastes. Yeah. I'm blown away when I hear that. They're drinking sodas and, you know, Red Bull and all that stuff, but they're not drinking enough water. So,

00:08:53

well,

00:08:54

how much water do you drink a day,

00:08:55

man? Well, see, now because I have the unit, which I will— I'll ask you about here what the difference is, but I got the home unit that you have and I drink a— I think it's like a 28-ounce like Yeti thing I carry around all day. I mean, I have to be drinking 7, 8 of those at least a day. I used to drink

00:09:14

Okay. So, you're drinking probably close to a gallon a day?

00:09:16

At least.

00:09:17

That's perfect.

00:09:18

At least.

00:09:18

For an athlete like yourself, that's perfect. Yeah.

00:09:21

Because I do 17-mile cardio sessions and I walk 5 miles and then I bike ride another 5 or so almost every day. So, in Arizona, I'm sweating.

00:09:33

You're sweating, man. Yeah, you have to be hydrating. So, yeah, there is no other water that hydrates the way that Little forehead eyes.

00:09:42

Well, I was telling you off camera, and one of the things that it— it's actually another way that this has made me healthier is it's made me happier. And I'm smiling because of when Gabriella's my cat, and I told you she's like my daughter, and the way that she'll run. And I'll show you a video because I took a video of her, and I said, you want water? And she's like, and yelled at me. And I fill it up and she just goes over and just— I mean, her head's buried in it.

00:10:07

Yeah.

00:10:07

And I caught her laying there, laying on the ground with her face in it.

00:10:11

Well, it's interesting. We've, we've put, we've put 2 bowls of water together, uh, with, with dogs, and dogs will immediately go for the Ophora water. They, they know, you know, they can smell the chlorine and all the, all the crap that's in the water, and they'll go for the Ophora.

00:10:27

So let's, let's do this. I was wondering, and I was going to ask you this, let's take Ofora. And what would be— I don't know, I read Icelandic may be one of the better ones that you could buy. If we put those side to side, how significantly different would we see? And I'm just guessing because that's one of the ones I saw on YouTube that said it was one of the more pure ones when people were testing. I don't know for sure, but let's just use that as an example. What would we see that differentiates Ofora from a top brand?

00:10:57

Well, it's all about the oxygen. Yeah. We all— right now we're breathing 21% oxygen. The rest is pretty much nitrogen.

00:11:05

Okay.

00:11:06

It used to be a lot higher than that. If you look back in the prehistoric days, stuff grew pretty big and the oxygen levels were much higher. It's amazing what this water does for plants, by the way. Really? It's crazy. It's the oxygen. So it's all about— we're all about oxygen. And we have 2 modalities for absorbing oxygen. One, of course, is drinking the water, but the other is soaking in it. We've actually discovered that you can absorb more oxygen through your skin, your largest organ, than you can drinking it.

00:11:42

Really?

00:11:43

Yes. And when you combine them, that puts it over the top. So I soak— I'm 76 years old. I soak in this water Every day. I haven't had a bath or a shower in years. I hot tub every morning. Our hot tubs have 32 parts per million of stable and bound oxygen. Oxygen, your oxygen saturation is a really good indicator of your overall health. Okay. And I don't know if you know what your saturation is. You've had, if you've been to a hospital, they test your oxygen. Yeah. Anything above 95% saturation is healthy. And every point above that is significant. So I run 98 to 100 all the time, but I drink half a gallon of this water a day and I soak in it every day. I cold plunge with hyperoxygenated water and I also soak in the hot tub with it. So for somebody my age to have those high oxygen levels is unheard of. So most disease is hypoxic and that means low oxygen levels. If you're below 95% saturation, you've got something nasty going on in your body, usually cancer. Oh, wow. So, what's it all about with oxygen? It's about high saturation so that you're not going to get sick.

00:13:02

And I don't get sick. I didn't get jabbed back during COVID Nobody in our plant did. And we were bottling water all through COVID. So, uh, you know, just, just saying. Uh,

00:13:15

but, um, who would have thought?

00:13:17

But it, like I said, it's a really great overall indicator of your health. And I, I'm, I, I'm pretty good at— you're, you're, you're, you run 98 to 100 all the time. I can see that.

00:13:28

Thank you. I hope so.

00:13:29

But, uh, you'd be amazed how many people are at 95 and below. And, and when you keep yourself in a So most disease, like I said, is hypoxic, low oxygen levels. And so if you maintain those low levels, it's gonna cause some problems for you. So that's the big plus of this water is the fact that overall, it's gonna enhance your health and your longevity. 'Cause as you age, your oxygen saturation drops naturally. Mm-hmm. And so, I'm kind of, I guess you'd say artificially through the water, both soaking and drinking, I keep those high elevations. And again, most disease is hypoxic.

00:14:17

So, Ben had his whole pool done when I was there. And, the water obviously looked different than even my pool. I had chlorine when we moved in. I switched it to salt. And now, the next goal is to get this put in there. But, I could see the difference in the water and I went and touched it and I could feel it.

00:14:33

Oh, yeah.

00:14:34

So how does it work for a pool as opposed to like a chlorine or saltwater? How do you do that?

00:14:40

So saltwater, a lot of people have been duped about saltwater. So what a saltwater pool actually is, is you have a chlorine generator with your pool equipment. The water's— so they put salt in the water, it goes through the chlorine generator and converts that to chlorine. Oh, okay. So it's lower levels of chlorine, but it's chlorine. And like I say, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. So chlorine is— so all this skin cancer that— and skin cancer is rapid right now. So is not from the sun, it's from bathing and showering. Really? Yeah. So when you take— if you— let's say you took a shower this morning, what— and of course, all the municipalities have massive amounts of chlorine. So when you take a shower or bath, it leaves a shell on your skin that interacts with your organic matter and forms a very, very carcinogenic material called chloramine. And so skin cancer is crazy off the hook, and it's not from the sun. It never was from the sun. If you look, even now they're starting— I never wore sunscreen in my life, but most people have, and that's carcinogenic.

00:16:01

So, even mainstream medicine is buying into the fact that the sun isn't the Antichrist like they've been saying it is. I mean, if you look back to the days of Christ and, you know, they weren't wearing baseball caps or anything walking around, right? I

00:16:14

was gonna say, unless they had some crazy type of sunscreen back then that I don't know about. I don't recall ever hearing about that.

00:16:21

No. So, in fact, cancer's showing up where the sun never shines. So, yeah. So 80% of the pollutants we come in contact with is actually from bathing and showering. Like I was telling you before we started here today, there's thousands of chemicals in the water that the municipalities aren't even required to report. There's a ton of testosterone and estrogen, but again, the hardest thing to remove from the water is the pharmaceuticals because we live in a society where people are taking on average, especially as you age, the goal is pharmaceutical companies wanna have you on half a dozen meds at least.

00:17:06

Oh yeah, minimum.

00:17:07

And you start mixing those together and it creates a toxic soup that nobody knows what it's gonna do to you.

00:17:15

Yeah. Well, they put you on one thing that's gonna require you to be on something else to stop that side effect. And before you know it, your day revolves around what time do I have to take Yeah.

00:17:25

So the chlorine is relatively easy to remove. So at the very least, you want to have a really robust shower filter.

00:17:33

Yeah.

00:17:33

So you're, you know, getting the chlorine out of the water. And, uh, we happen to make a really great shower filter. But, um, that's something you want to address. People don't realize that. So, um—

00:17:46

Well, I'm having you guys— my whole home system should be about done, I think. I think I started it, I don't know, 6, 8 weeks ago.

00:17:54

Yeah.

00:17:54

I think it's getting close to being done. So, yeah, I, I, when I started to learn about everything that you're telling me, and—

00:18:01

It's the best thing, you know, pure water, you know, it's the best thing you can possibly do for yourself. Yeah. Uh, seriously. Um, it's relatively inexpensive to do, and, uh, it, it's a game changer.

00:18:15

How does it feel like differently than normal water sitting in this water?

00:18:20

It's amazing. So the water— what— I don't know if you've heard the term, but water is called the universal solvent.

00:18:27

Yeah.

00:18:28

So most people have heard that, but a lot— most people don't know what that really means. But what it means is water in its purest form wants to absorb anything it comes in contact with. So when you're soaking in our cold plunge or our hot— our hyperoxygenated hot tub, when you're sitting in the tub, It's literally sucking the toxins out of your skin. The first thing you notice is how squeaky clean you are. I mean, your hair, your nails, everything. Wow. I think I told you before we got started here today is I haven't had a shower or a bath in years. I soak every morning for 20 minutes in the hot tub, 10 minutes in the cold plunge, and you're just squeaky clean inside and out. And you don't want to take a shower after. People come in and test soak and I go, don't take a shower tomorrow because you're just going to get dirty.

00:19:17

That's wild. I can't even believe

00:19:19

it. So, it's just, it's very soft. You feel so clean when you get it. The feeling is so incredibly cool because you feel so clean.

00:19:28

Wow.

00:19:29

Yeah.

00:19:29

I

00:19:29

can't wait. Once you experience it, yeah, you don't go back.

00:19:34

Man, I can't wait to feel that.

00:19:36

And our whole home systems do an incredible job filtering out the pollutants out of the Shower and bath water.

00:19:43

So, like for a swimming pool, for instance, what kind of maintenance or how do you keep it clean then with your water as opposed to like whatever's done? I don't even know if you can define it.

00:19:52

Well, so we actually— my very— I'm really an inventor. And my very first patent back in Ann Arbor, Michigan was a chlorine-free swimming pool. I was in my 20s. That was my first patent. It was the best system then. It still is today. So, um, we filter out— we use ozone, UV sterilization, and food-grade, uh, 35% hydrogen peroxide. So hydrogen peroxide is our go-to sanitizer. The only, the only byproduct of H2O— first of all, H2O2 is a miracle, a miracle drug in and of itself. It's, it's so good for your hair, skin, and nails. I mean, the women just rave about about it. But, um, um, you know, when you, when you clean, when you, when you're soaking it, when you're, when you're swimming in this water, again, it's a universal solvent. It's pulling all the toxins out of your body, and, um, and you're drinking the water at the same time. It's just a complete game changer. But it, it just feels smooth. The water just glides off you. Uh-huh. It's, it's an amazing feeling. And chlorine is a commodity product. You can literally buy it for a buck a gallon. Food-grade hydrogen peroxide is a little more money, but the only byproduct of food-grade hydrogen peroxide is pure oxygen.

00:21:13

Mm-hmm. So it's completely organic. So when you come over, once you soak in this water, you're squeaky clean inside and out, and you just can't go back.

00:21:32

What do you say to people? Because I have been around since the hydrogen water bottles came out, and there are people that are very pro, and there are people that say it's gimmicky and it doesn't work. And is there validity to that, or why do people say that and come up with that?

00:21:51

Okay, the hydrogen bottles, Save your money. They're just going to end up in a landfill. You know, I love hydrogen. I take 2 hydrogen tablets a day. That's the best way to—

00:22:04

The tablets?

00:22:04

Yeah, is the tablets. They're inexpensive, highly— more effective than bottles. The bottles crap out and they end up in a landfill.

00:22:13

The tablets are the ones that Alex Tarnava did, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because he's a friend of mine.

00:22:18

Yeah, they're the absolute best way to take hydrogen. And hydrogen's a tremendous antioxidant, and I take 2 tabs a day. So, uh, I tell people, save your money, buy the tablets, and, uh, that's the best way to—

00:22:34

Right.

00:22:34

Yeah.

00:22:35

So we don't need any of that, and now we could just drink this too, right?

00:22:38

Right. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:22:39

So the standing unit that I have says Quantum on it. Yeah. What does that mean?

00:22:45

Um, so it's our most robust, what we call, POU system, point-of-use system. So, uh, it's our most Robust, and I gave it that name just because it is the most robust point-of-use system in the industry. So it not only nano-purifies the water, it also hyper-oxygenates the water. It's the only POU system that does. We don't get the higher level. It's like 10 to 15 parts per million, not 40, but it's still— that's significant. Water— here's the confusing thing. used to have a lot of oxygen in it. Uh, it doesn't anymore. If I test your tap water on a good day, on a good day, I doubt you have any. On a good day, you might have 5 parts per million. Wow. This water is at 40 parts per million. Like I said, it's 1,000 times more than any, any water on the water aisle. And, uh, the key to longevity, the key to, uh, not getting sick, not getting a you know, cancer, uh, is to hydrate and keep, keep your oxygen levels high. Um, and, um, I don't know of any other way to do it. So most people think the only way you can absorb oxygen is from breathing, right?

00:24:02

Um, and that's not true. So basically, this water, uh, you drink it, uh, you digest it, it goes into your system, it penetrates your cells, your mitochondria, And it's a game changer. It's a game changer for energy, for health, for amping up your oxygen levels and keeping them high.

00:24:23

So, where does the water come from then? Is it like—

00:24:27

So, I could actually take a cow pond and convert that. I've been in the water business since my 20s. And when I first started out, I was trying to crack the code. It's always been about oxygen for me. I was a runner in high school and I was always trying to figure out to get— I was a miler and I actually ran back in the day, I ran a 5-minute mile, which was a big deal back then. It's not anymore, but it was still—

00:24:54

That's a sweet clip.

00:24:56

It was, it was then. But I was always trying to figure out a way to amp because I figured out at an early age, you know, um, when you're running, you're breathing so hard, you know, the harder the harder and the deeper you can breathe, uh, the more active you could be, right? Oh yeah. And, uh, so I, I started getting into deep breathing, uh, you know, which back then nobody was doing. I didn't even know what it was. I just— before a race, I would sit in the corner and, uh, do breathwork. They didn't have a term for it back then. Uh, and then I started just experimenting with, uh, running oxygen tanks and you know, failing a lot. I mean, I could, I could amp up the oxygen a little bit, but what's different about this water is you can, you can open this water, uh, leave that on your nightstand, and in the morning it has the same amount of oxygen in it. It's bound and stable to the water. I actually have 4 patents on the system, so it's bound and stable to the water. And that's, you know, oxygen is very unstable, as is hydrogen.

00:26:01

Hydrogen is super unstable. Uh, that's why the tablets are so much better than, than the bottles. Um, you know, we, we test hydrogen waters, we test different oxygen waters, and there's never— there's no hydrogen in it and there's no oxygen in it. If there was, when you open it, it's gone. Mm-hmm. And so, uh, what we've done, I've, I've, I've talked to scientists and, uh, we've got some pretty heavyweight scientists that have studied this water. And they call it an anomaly. I mean, they're basically telling me, you know, like our hot tubs, you can't hyperoxygenate hot water. Mm-hmm. It's true. The cold plunge, we can get the oxygen levels much higher. So the cold plunge is at 40 ppm, which is really high, and the hot tubs run at 32, which is really high. And of course, the drinking water's at 40. That's pretty profound when you think, when you take a minute and think that the tap water, you're not getting any oxygen.

00:26:59

Is there something to do with ozone in that Quantum unit?

00:27:03

Yes.

00:27:03

Okay.

00:27:04

So in the Quantum unit, how we produce the— the only byproduct of ozone is pure oxygen. So we have a pretty significant ozonator on that machine that produces the oxygen that binds to the water. I love it. So, that's, that's, that's how we, we do that. And I, I love ozone.

00:27:24

It's— yeah, that—

00:27:26

I like the smell of it. I like everything.

00:27:28

What are some of the benefits there? Because I, I even wrote a paper on this in 2001, I think, in college, about ozone treatment and oxygen therapy that nobody knew what it was. And the internet was barely functional then, but I pulled information on the benefits of curing, like, diseases that, like HIV and things back then that were more prevalent.

00:27:49

Ozone is, you know, it's an organic sanitizer and, uh, it's powerful. Uh, you know, you, you have to be a little bit careful about indoor. If you get the levels too high indoors, it can be a problem for you. Uh, I don't know if you remember the Sharper Image magazine.

00:28:07

Oh

00:28:07

yeah, yeah, yeah. Which was like my favorite magazine for years. Uh, He was selling the first ozonators that came out. Richard was selling them.

00:28:16

Yeah.

00:28:17

Well, he ended up getting a class action suit because people were getting sick cranking those things up in an enclosed space.

00:28:24

Okay.

00:28:25

Literally put him out of business.

00:28:26

Wow.

00:28:27

Yeah. So, you have to be a little bit careful with ozone in enclosed areas, but outside you don't have to worry about it. And, of course, all our hot tubs and spas and most cold plunges all go outdoors. But ozone is a very, very powerful, completely organic sanitizer. And when you combine— I was the first person to combine ozone, UV sterilization, and food-grade hydrogen peroxide. Wow. I call it the trifecta. And for pools and spas, there's no better way to sanitize the water organically. So when you, when you soak, when you do soak in it, Like I said, it's, it's, you've never sat in water so pure. I mean, every other body of water that you've sat in either has chemical, has chemicals in it. Yeah. Some kind of chemicals, even lakes and streams. And, uh, so when you're sitting in our hot tubs or spas, you're actually sitting in the same water. You can sit in the tub and drink the water.

00:29:25

The hot tub, is that just like a standing tub then that you guys put in, or how do you do that?

00:29:29

So it's interesting. So, um, I actually, um, got my start in the water industry with hot tubs. Okay. Wooden tubs. So, uh, I don't— redwood hot tubs were the craze in the '60s and '70s, and, uh, at one point I was the largest manufacturer in the world of redwood hot tubs. Uh, today we're building them out of teak. Um, I personally, it's, it's the only vessel I would ever have. Uh, they're just wonderful. They hold 750 gallons of water. 6-foot round, 4-foot deep, holds 750 gallons of water in

00:30:01

it.

00:30:01

And what's interesting in soaking is that when you have that volume of water, first of all, it takes all the gravitational stress off your body. So you as a hardcore athlete would really benefit from that. But, you know, the other thing is, like I said, you're literally sitting in this water. And so it's sucking the toxins out of your skin, but at the same time, you're— You're taking pure oxygen in. But, uh, but when you cut— when you combine ozone, UV, and 33%, 35% food-grade hydrogen peroxide, it's, it's a dynamic— it's a trifecta.

00:30:40

So, for somebody like me that's beating the shit out of myself, like when I get done at the gym, because I go lift at night, would it be pretty prudent then to come home and sit in that thing 10 or 15 minutes after strength training?

00:30:52

100%.

00:30:53

Okay.

00:30:53

Yeah. I mean, I can look at you and say you're about a 98. You'd be 100 all the time. Really? Once you start soaking, combine soaking with drinking, it's a game changer.

00:31:05

I got it.

00:31:06

It's a game changer.

00:31:07

That's next on my list, man.

00:31:08

Yeah. Well, they're good investments. So, everything Afora builds, I'm a nut about stuff not breaking. I'm crazy about things not breaking and not needing a lot of maintenance. So, All of our systems are designed so the only maintenance that's required is a filter change out once a year. Other than that, really, all you— you're just enjoying great water.

00:31:30

Can you buy these in the store? Because I've never seen them at the store, the Ofora bottles, or is it just order online, or—

00:31:36

Well, so we're all over, like Southern California, LA. We're— have you heard of Erewhon?

00:31:42

Yeah, yeah.

00:31:43

Okay, so Erewhon put us on the map. God bless Erewhon. So we're their best-selling premium water. We're growing fast. We're in Gelson's. We're in a lot of stores. Okay. Lazy Acres. But Erewhon really put us on the map. And we started with them in one store. I think they have 10 stores now. But I'm really proud of the fact that we are in Erewhon. And I'm not pitching Erewhon, but what's cool about their business model I don't know if you know that. You've been in an Erewhon store. You shop there. You don't have to read labels. If it's in that store, it's good.

00:32:21

It's gold. It's

00:32:22

good. Because I find myself, I'm standing in the grocery store just—

00:32:26

Oh, always.

00:32:27

I go in there, it's like 2 hours. I'm looking at labels. Always. Because it's the fine print. Everything's great and then they have a shitty oil. They use some kind of oil in it, right? So, we're all about optimizing health and graceful aging. You know, people, you know, it's all about longevity now and that's cool. But if you're not in optimum health, I mean, I don't want to be here if I'm in a wheelchair combined. Yeah.

00:32:53

That's one of my struggles when people talk about longevity and I wonder if they understand what that should mean. You know, I always tell people, I'm not trying to just add years. I'm trying to add life to those years.

00:33:07

That's right. So, you want to be active. Like I said, I'm 76 years old and I hike every day. You know, when I tell— people just aren't moving enough.

00:33:21

No.

00:33:22

I don't care how you're moving, you're not moving enough. Yeah. Clean food, great water, and movement. That's it. And if you practice that on a daily basis, You know, you're not— they're not going to have a wheelchair waiting for you to get off the airplane.

00:33:40

No. I mean, I even make my coffee with this water. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Because I have the unit. It's never-ending. It's free-flowing, right? So, every single thing that I do now, that's in it.

00:33:52

How long have you been drinking Ophora?

00:33:55

A month and a half, 2 months, right around there.

00:33:57

Yeah. It's a game changer. No, I'm telling you. And, the longer you drink it, the more it is.

00:34:01

Well, okay. So here, I'll explain to you. one of the things that I was having a problem with for several months was, uh, like an irregular heartbeat. So my heart rhythm was off. And I always have had lower potassium levels. And I've just— the more water I feel like I was drinking, the worse I was getting, which didn't make sense to me because we had an RO unit put in when I moved into our house here and the hard water here. So I had the whole house done, not really being super versed, admittedly, on the water and everything. And I thought it was a medication I was taking, then I just— I couldn't figure it out. I was, I was just over the place. And my cardiologist finally said, man, I think you're dehydrated, and I think that that's what we're seeing here. It's a dehydration problem. I said, you got to be shitting me. Like, I'm going through this and this and trying this. And then I'd stop taking one thing, and then I thought it might be a vitamin I'm taking. I'd stop one, and it— and it— I, I'd find myself every morning, soon as I got out of bed, it would start.

00:34:58

And I— and then the only thing that would help was when I drank electrolytes before I started walking, then it would stop.

00:35:04

Yeah.

00:35:04

And then, it would just continue at odd times and then, it gives you anxiety. And then, when I started to drink this, it stopped. And I was drinking more and I was peeing, I don't know, 12 to 15 times a day because I'd start counting after a while. The more water I drank, obviously, you think where you're going. And now that you say that, I stopped counting because I'm not in there so frequently.

00:35:28

That's right. That's right. Again, you're hydrating truly on a cellular level. Like the first thing when you do, when you get up in the morning, you know, the best thing to do with this water, I don't know if you're doing this, but if you squeeze a whole lemon in a glass of water or 4 of water first thing in the morning, it's the best thing you can do for your liver.

00:35:46

Noted.

00:35:47

Yeah.

00:35:47

Tomorrow.

00:35:48

You'll notice a difference.

00:35:50

Okay.

00:35:50

So, first glass, a lemon.

00:35:53

You know what else I've noticed now too? Because man, some mornings, if I'm blessed enough to sleep like 7 hours straight through, you wake up and you're just like, Man, I mean, I feel terrible.

00:36:04

Yeah.

00:36:04

And it just— I, I have the water sitting right next to my bed like I always do, but it only takes a quick sip and I'm like, good. Yeah. Before, I'd be slamming it down, and you don't want to do that right when you wake up. It's too much on your stomach,

00:36:17

right? Yeah.

00:36:18

And I don't have to do that anymore. No, it's just a quick sip and it's, it's fine.

00:36:22

Yeah, it goes right to your brain.

00:36:23

Yes.

00:36:24

Yeah, it goes right here.

00:36:25

And I can— so I like to read scripture right when I wake up. And sometimes some mornings, I just can't get my head focused for too long. And now, it's easier now that I think about it or just anything that I start my day with.

00:36:40

So again, first thing when you wake up and drink this water, it goes right to your brain, right to your brain. And that's just how your biology works.

00:36:50

Well, now I need it flowing through my whole home, man.

00:36:52

That would be good. You're going to get there.

00:36:54

It's got to be almost ready. It's got to be. So, let me ask you this. Let's list some benefits health-wise that we're going to potentially see from doing this. So, we already know, we talked mitochondria, cellular benefits. Let's go a little bit more into how that's creating that intracellular hydration because I was telling you off-camera, I've had a lot of people talk about that and not really break it down. What else could one normally see with drinking this water on top of that too?

00:37:23

Well, what it does, it amps up your mitochondria. big time. And, uh, what people tell us and what everybody experiences is more energy. I mean, everybody wants more energy, right? Yeah. And, um, uh, this water can produce that for you. So, um, amps up your mitochondria, which again kind of slays your appetite, increases your energy. And, um, uh, so it's extremely energizing, um, and And the other thing is it's extremely— as you'll hear me say, water is the universal solvent. So by drinking this water, you're flushing out— the other thing, we live in a really toxic world, as everybody knows, and there's things we can do and there's things we can't do.

00:38:12

Right.

00:38:13

This water, because of its purity, when you're drinking it, it's literally flushing out the toxins in your body. And there is no other water that does. This is truly the only functional water in the water industry. If you go to Whole Foods and look at the water aisle, all that water is produced by co-packers. Mm-hmm. And what— they have a massive RO machine and they just stick their label on it. It's all the same water. All the water, it's all the same water. It's co-packed. And, you know, RO water is pure water, but it's dead acidic water. Mm-hmm. You have to, And that's the mistake, you know, a lot of, you know, half the population has RO systems underneath the kitchen sink. It's pure water, but it's dead water.

00:39:00

It's stripped.

00:39:00

It's stripped of everything. You're not getting any benefit.

00:39:04

It's like eating fat-free yogurt.

00:39:06

Yeah. So, I mean, the benefit is the energy. The benefit is cleansing your body every day. The benefit is clearer thinking, noticed.

00:39:20

Yeah. Is there any cardiovascular benefit or a liver benefit? Well, liver, obviously, if you're detoxifying, you're going to notice a lot of benefit.

00:39:27

Huge on the liver. And, our livers are a mess. So, we have a really astute medical board of advisors. I have 3. Dr. Pompa is on our board. We're installing his— That's what he was telling me. in about 2 weeks.

00:39:43

Yeah, he was filling me in on him. Yeah, so I told him, I said, all right, I'm coming over, man.

00:39:47

Yeah, so it's gonna be— he's getting a 6x4, uh, teak hot tub system, uh, with really high oxygen levels. But,

00:39:56

um, you got a study there, you were—

00:39:58

Yeah, so we have these, we have these 3 MDs, or some of the best MDs in the country. So, uh, Dr. Michael Galitzer, he is, uh, he's He has a practice on Wilshire Boulevard in LA and he's the real deal. He graduated top of his class in medical school and then he ran the emergency room at UCLA for 15 years, saw everything, and then went completely holistic. So he doesn't write scripts. He really— he goes to the source. I love it. So he has some really interesting bioimpedance equipment where he can really do a deep dive in your overall health. And I just got this report. I just saw him a few weeks ago and he did this whole report. And when I talk about our water hydrating on a cellular level, the proof of it is right here. There's 2, intercellular and extracellular water. So my intercellular— if you look at everybody else's reports, their outer cellular water, they don't have any water, intercellular water. Mm-hmm. Because again, It's just— you're just peeing it out. So my inner cellular water is 38.6, my outer cellular water is 31.7, and that's unheard of.

00:41:11

Backwards.

00:41:12

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, um, so what this proves is you are hydrating on a cellular level. That's a big deal. Uh, water, you know, water used to be— this is how water used to be. The water has become so denatured and devitalized, there's just no It's just wet. I tell people, you know, tap water is good for one thing and that's putting out fires.

00:41:34

Right. So the really essentially, if you're just saying it in factual terminology—

00:41:40

It's just dead acidic water.

00:41:41

Well, the more you drink, the thirstier you get.

00:41:43

That's right. That's right. And you're getting up all through the night to pee and yeah.

00:41:49

And that's why you're technically never staying hydrated in the first place. That's right. Which is why I was having problems myself.

00:41:55

People are drinking a lot of water and they're dehydrated.

00:41:58

You can notice it in the color of the eyes too. You see graying in the eyes and things when someone's dehydrated. And yeah, I'm sure mine probably look better right now.

00:42:05

The testimonials we, we get would blow you away in terms of improved eyesight and everything this water does. It's just— I, I hear stories every single day.

00:42:14

I'm telling you, man. So I am— I,

00:42:17

I— You've only, you've only been drinking for about a month and a half. Wait for a couple more months. Okay. It's pretty amazing.

00:42:22

Well, like I said, the thing that makes me the happiest is when I see Gabriella running around the house and the way she acts. And like I said, she's always been playful, but I— and her coat looks better.

00:42:31

Yeah, yeah.

00:42:32

Like on, on her fur and everything, it looks shinier. And yeah, the way she— like, I, I just— the way she runs around and she, she talks to me all the time, like more than she ever has. Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna send you clips of the videos because it's so funny, man.

00:42:46

Yeah. Well, cats are notorious for, uh, you know, you know, Infections, though, you know, bladder infections and things like that.

00:42:54

Yes, and kidney problems because they don't drink enough water.

00:42:57

Yeah, they don't drink enough water. They're not drinking the right water. So I'm just appalled when I see people giving their pets tap water. Yeah, it just doesn't make any sense.

00:43:05

Well, and I was giving her the RO water, which it wasn't probably any better. No, I mean, I mean, better than tap water.

00:43:12

It's pure, it's pure, but, um, it's, it's, it's dead acidic water. Uh, so We found the sweet spot. We try and maintain 8.5 pH on our water here. What

00:43:22

does that mean, pH, for people listening?

00:43:25

So pH is— so anything below 7.0 is acidic. So RO water is pure water, but it's below 7.0. 7.0 is neutral. So if you're below 7.0, your body's going to be acidic, and disease thrives in an acidic body. So you want to keep your pH levels a little bit higher. Anything above 7.0, even 7.1, is alkaline.

00:43:53

Okay.

00:43:53

So, but, you know, what they've done with the pH, the only difference with the water shelf is pH. You'll see water up to 10, and that's too high. That causes problems, particularly for women, yeast infections and things like that.

00:44:11

More is not always better.

00:44:12

No, it is not better. So we kind of, our doctors, our medical board says 8.5, 8.0 to 8.5 is perfect. And that's where our water's been. So

00:44:21

you have a lot of people then on your team that's—

00:44:23

I've got 3 of the best physicians in the country. And you know Dr. Pompa. I mean, that guy. Yeah.

00:44:30

He's a beast.

00:44:31

He's just amazing.

00:44:34

I mean, he finds anything and everything that could potentially be wrong. Yeah. You know what I mean? He does.

00:44:39

Yeah. I love him for it. Me too. He's Great. And then, uh, Dr. Shawn O'Meara. I don't know if you know— do you know Dr. Shawn O'Meara?

00:44:48

I've heard of him.

00:44:49

Okay, so he, he's got a diet where, uh, it's all about fermented foods. Yep. And meat. Yep. And, uh, and, uh, uh, people are just— people that practice his diet, just that they, they just shed the weight. And it's, it's— and that's truly— that's it. Like sauerkraut and a steak.

00:45:08

I can't do that shit with the sauerkraut. Steak, I can.

00:45:11

Yeah.

00:45:12

Yeah. I've tried. I can't wrap my head around it. I know how good it is for you, just not for my palate.

00:45:19

Yeah, yeah. I hear you.

00:45:20

I can drink all the water in the world and it doesn't help.

00:45:24

No, no. So, you either like it or hate it. So,

00:45:26

when did you discover this or at least come up with the idea or thought process? How long ago?

00:45:33

So, I've been an inventor all my life. Even when I was a little kid, I was just— that's what I did. And it's my passion. And I think kind of where I got started is this whole thing with running the mile and trying to increase my speed, knowing that I needed to— you're an athlete, so you know how hard you're sucking air, right? Yeah. Yeah. And

00:46:00

you were trying to increase your VO2 max as high as you could.

00:46:03

I was. And I didn't have a lot of tools back then. But I stayed with it. So, you know, I cracked the code on nanopurifying and it took me a number of years to get the oxygen. It's a complex process to do what we do. At some point when you come to Santa Barbara, I'll be able to show you all this equipment so you'll be able to see it. And I'd like to get you there sooner than later.

00:46:27

Yeah. Get me out there and we'll film and show everybody what's going on.

00:46:30

Yeah. I'd love to. Yeah. I'd love to get you there. And, you know, we've got a We've got a really nice soaking room with the cold plunge and hot tub in it.

00:46:41

I'd stay in there all day.

00:46:42

Yeah. Yeah. So—

00:46:44

Can you sit in the tub too long? I never asked you that. Is there—

00:46:48

You can't— so, good question. Okay. So, when I started making this water, so I was trying to find a meter to read oxygen and I went out looking at measuring devices, and there wasn't an oxygen meter that read over 20 ppm. So I was calling, I was calling the manufacturers and I'm going, how do I get— why would you need one? And, uh, so I actually found an industrial wastewater, uh, O2 meter, uh, that could actually read, read the oxygen. So when I found out it was 40 ppm. Nobody's ever bottled water at— nobody's ever bottled water at these high oxygen levels. So I do, as an inventor, I did what I always do, and I just started drinking a shit ton of this water thinking it's either gonna kill me or heal me, right? Uh, because nobody, nobody knew, right? Right. We didn't know. I asked my— yeah, I asked doctors, and, you know, nobody knew. And, uh, so I just drank a a lot of water, a lot of our water, and just started getting all the benefits from it. So we're the only people that are doing this. There'll be people that follow us into it.

00:48:05

Uh, um, we can only bottle in glass, and, and the reason is because of the purity. Because as I said, you know, the one thing that we got to get— so I've been a lone wolf for, for like 30 years going, you can't drink plastic bottled water. Mm-hmm. So Bad water affects women more than it does men. Right now, breast cancer is epidemic. I mean, it's crazy. And a lot of it, our doctors believe it's from the plastic, the chemicals. So this water, you know, RO water, all that RO water on the shelf, if it's in plastic, it's literally sucking the toxins out of that plastic. And women are storing those toxins in their breast tissue. Wow. And, uh, it's like we were talking earlier about sunscreens and, and cancer and, and skin, skin cancer. And, you know, we're— we believe that it's not, uh, the sun that's causing the skin cancer, it's the chlorine. So eliminate chlorine, and then at the same time, uh, um, you know, just improve, improve your water.

00:49:13

Yeah, it would. If people are rational and you think about it, of all of the different things that we put on our skin that are full of chemicals— because if you— 90% of the people would never look at the back of a skin product and look at all the stuff.

00:49:28

They slather up in it.

00:49:29

Yeah. And then you start reading it, and I— and when I started doing it, I go, what the hell is this? And all of this shit that I see in here, and you don't even know what it is.

00:49:37

Yeah.

00:49:37

And I'm assuming most of it is toxic.

00:49:40

You know, Poppa says, put sunscreen on a plant outside and in like a day it'll be dead.

00:49:47

Yeah.

00:49:48

Yeah, so yeah, and people are lathering up in it. But even mainstream medicine is going, you know, it's not the sun.

00:49:58

Well, we need the sun. I mean, it's the source of energy, right?

00:50:02

So people have gone the other way. They're all, you know, they're all covered up. They're not getting any sun at all. And that's bad.

00:50:07

Yeah, it's too much. I mean, there's a fine line of everything. You can always do too much of something. When I tell people, I tell them, I said, I'm not telling you to stay out in the sun 24 hours a day, but 15, 20 minutes you need.

00:50:20

Oh, you need that. You need that. I mean, really the best thing to do is get completely nude for 20 minutes out in the sun. And I mean, it's just so good for your body.

00:50:29

Well, that early morning sun, like really early, Yeah, I'm not a morning guy, but I do like to see the sunrise. Yeah, you know, and it's, it's sweet. Yeah, or setting.

00:50:38

Yeah, and it's just a good way to, uh, you know, get your body, you know, first thing in the morning to get some daylight.

00:50:45

No, I, I had a dermoscopist on here, brilliant by the way, and he said that you need to get out in the sun. You know, he warned about when the UV level's too high, right? But of course, you know, that makes sense. Yeah, but he even said you need to get out in the sun.

00:50:59

Right.

00:50:59

It's imperative. You can't just depend on your vitamin D from supplements and everything in life has to be a supplement or an additive. That's not correct.

00:51:09

I'm so sick of supplements. That's

00:51:11

a whole other conversation. Yeah.

00:51:13

So, anyway. So, eating clean, movement, and then this water is the best advice I give people.

00:51:21

Well, how much— I mean, how much is our body comprised of water?

00:51:27

Well, I mean, I'm at 70%. It says right on this report, I'm at 70%. Oh, amazing. Yeah, we're basically— yeah, we're bags of water.

00:51:37

Yes.

00:51:37

Yeah.

00:51:38

So, you would want to put the best of the best inside of you.

00:51:41

Yeah, yeah.

00:51:42

And, I think that people don't have that understanding. I really don't think they do. I think most people just think of, oh, I have to drink water to survive. And, I've always kind of been that way too. And,

00:51:52

Well, here's the sad news. I mean, there's— I see kids and I talk to them and they're not drinking any water. You know, they're drinking energy drinks. Yeah, it's bad. I mean, holy— I mean, come on.

00:52:04

I really don't drink anything at all aside from I have a little bit of pomegranate juice for my heart. And but other than that, I really only drink water. That's great. That's it.

00:52:14

Good for you. How about coffee?

00:52:16

That— well, coffee, I guess, but it's with this water.

00:52:18

That's right.

00:52:19

Yeah.

00:52:19

Yeah. Organic. Well, you're reading the reports. I mean, They're all the antioxidants in organic coffee.

00:52:26

I drink the— yeah, I mean, I shouldn't say unfortunately. Thankfully I can buy it, but I only buy the best, most kept coffee that there is, and I like to grind it fresh. Yeah, I really make it a process.

00:52:38

That's great. Yeah, that's fantastic.

00:52:40

I use an AeroPress, and it's— but I don't drink it, man. Listen, I don't drink it for the caffeine. I don't need the caffeine. I just enjoy it.

00:52:47

Right. I do too.

00:52:48

Yeah. It has nothing to do with, oh my gosh, I need the coffee to function. I've never felt like that.

00:52:54

No.

00:52:54

It's a treat.

00:52:55

It is a treat. Yeah, it is a treat.

00:52:57

My grandson says, Papa's making chocolate milk coffee, because I put chocolate protein powder in it. And it's just delightful, man.

00:53:04

Yeah, yeah, it's great.

00:53:06

I love it. But this has made it taste better. And I just literally walk right up, fill my kettle up, and it's awesome.

00:53:14

Good to go.

00:53:14

Yeah. So, do you have any goals in terms of are you going to add anything else to what you already do?

00:53:20

Probably the next thing we're going to do is a sparkling water.

00:53:23

Oh, okay.

00:53:25

We're working on that. And then, I actually want to do an energy drink with this water. We can amp up the oxygen levels even higher. So, I'm working on an energy drink, an organic. basically, uh, energy drinks. So, uh, it's gonna be pretty cool.

00:53:44

Would you put caffeine in there? Were you looking at something like, like a paraxanthine or something different like that?

00:53:49

Yeah, we're, we're testing. We're looking, we're looking at everything. We're trying to do something new and unique. Uh, we obviously want it to be incredibly healthy. Yeah. And, um, uh, we're, we're close on a formula. So—

00:54:04

Excellent, man. That's awesome.

00:54:06

Yeah.

00:54:06

That'll be good. You have to let me know so I can try that out for you too and let you know.

00:54:11

Well, what's great is you're— so, no bottled water is sustainable. I mean, even we bottle in glass because we— well, we have to just because we're keeping it pure. But glass is heavy and it's expensive to ship. And so, the best way is to start with our water. People buy our water, Air One, then end up buying the machine and making the water at home. And that's really what you want to do.

00:54:39

Machine's the best.

00:54:40

Yeah. So you're making your water. And our machines are designed for a lifetime of use. I tell people you can put them in your will to your kids. And it's interesting because the water improvement industry is pretty much run by plumbers, which is crazy because if plumbers ran the world, we'd still all be on horseback because they don't like to change anything. And, uh, and their whole business model is, you know, they want it to break so they're— you're calling them back to service it. Uh, when we, when we build a system and install a system, we don't want to ever see it again. So, and, uh, I'm proud of that. I'm— we were crazy about making stuff that doesn't break.

00:55:24

Yeah.

00:55:24

So the only thing you're ever going to have to do with that system is change the filters once a year.

00:55:28

I love that.

00:55:29

And a lot of times, if it's just you or I don't know, they'll go a year and a half or 2 years. I mean, it's—

00:55:37

I don't know, man, the way I'm drinking it, I don't know. But yeah, it gets good use. It's just me and my wife and my cat drinking it.

00:55:44

Yeah, okay, well, you, you probably go a year, a year and a half easy without changing the filters. That's awesome.

00:55:48

I'm telling you, and it— and I forgot to mention to people listening, it has that hot water side to it too. I didn't bring that up either.

00:55:57

So, uh, so we have a machine, the BioQuantum Water Station does hot and cold. Nano-purified, just terrific water. Yeah. And it's hyperoxygenated between 10 and 15 parts per million. It is. Which again is significant when you consider that tap water and all that other bottled water has no oxygen in it at all. So when you ask what makes Ophora different, it's the oxygen component. It took a long time for me to develop it. You know, we integrate sound frequency into this water, 528 Hz. We do some interesting stuff with this water after we purify it. We run it over rose quartz crystal. Just some— a lot of things sound woo-woo to people, but it's amazing, like, what rose quartz does. It imparts a sweeter taste on the water. And we use a lot of organic coconut carbon. Oh, you do? Yeah. And that imparts a sweet taste to the water. If you— because if you look at the flavor profile, it has this kind of a sweet taste to it, and that's from the organic coconut carbon.

00:57:06

It is just delicious. Yeah. I'll be— I'll be honest with you because I don't know how much of my stuff that you've watched in the past or how I am, but I am honest to a fault, and I don't hold back. And I, you know, I only really said, hook me up with them, because it was Ben, because I trust Ben and Ben's a good friend.

00:57:26

Yeah.

00:57:26

But, I had it and I was like, okay, let's see what we got going on here. But, seeing it in person and how it's made me feel and how I've seen it with Gabriella, like I said, that's why I'm behind it so much and I talk about it to other people because I know.

00:57:40

Yeah.

00:57:41

Because I've experienced it myself. I've given it to everybody that comes over to my house, love it.

00:57:46

Yeah.

00:57:46

Ask me, where do I get it? And so, that's why

00:57:50

Well, as soon as people find out you have a water station here, they're going to become— they're going to be lined up at your door to get water.

00:57:55

I have a gate at my house and it's got a lock on it. It's hard to get in that. So no, it is. That's the first thing I do every morning is I call her in, fill her thing, her little dish up, and then I go right to it for me and I put all my morning powders in there and drink it all.

00:58:11

Well, here's the other thing that's really interesting about the water is it's super water to take your supplements with.

00:58:18

I do every morning.

00:58:19

Yeah, yeah, because it be— because it's absorbed in the water, in the water, and penetrates your cells. So it's really, it's really powerful with your supplements.

00:58:29

So I have like probably 6 different, uh, powders I take in the morning— creatine and, yeah, uh, Stem Regen and urolithin A, all those. And then I take my, my pill supplements with it too, and that, that I fill it up and drink it every morning. That's when I go tell you I read scripture outside and sit there with my drink and read and do that with the water.

00:58:49

Yeah. It's amazing how it amps up the benefits of the supplements.

00:58:56

Yeah.

00:58:57

Because again, instead of peeing them out, you're infusing them deep into your body.

00:59:02

You don't need grapefruit juice. We need the water because people will say grapefruit juice helps absorption, all that BS. No, no. We'll drink the water instead.

00:59:11

Yeah.

00:59:11

No, but it does. And I'm not a morning guy and I don't like early morning meetings, but it does. I always bring it into my meetings and drink now because I didn't used to do anything. You're

00:59:21

primarily drinking water, you said, right? Yeah. I mean, that's great. So, look at it. Think about this. So, back in the day, we're the only species on the planet that drinks other things other than water.

00:59:37

Right.

00:59:37

Think about that. The lions, they don't wake up in the morning and have a cup of joe. They're not cocktailing at night. They're not drinking energy drinks. We are the only species that drinks— well, in a lot of cases, a lot of people don't even drink any water.

00:59:53

Right.

00:59:54

But that's an amazing thing to consider, the fact that we're the only species on the planet drinking—

00:59:59

You're telling me all these different juices and Kool-Aids and things weren't around? Is that what you're saying?

01:00:04

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, tap water's only good thing, tap water's just putting out fires. So, yeah. That's right.

01:00:14

Man, I love everything you've done. It's been really impactful for me. I want to make sure that we get it out to everybody to see and experience. And, I normally don't do a lot of shows for other brands or anything, but this one deserved it highly because of what I've seen and experienced. And so, I'm really thankful for not you just coming down to see me, which I'm very thankful for, but this work and allowing me to kind of be a part of it now and to have it and to be able to spotlight it to other people because you're doing a really, really wonderful thing, man.

01:00:47

Yeah. I want to share this gift with the world. The next thing that I really— I want to get people soaking in this water. Like I said, drinking is very, very powerful, but when you combine soaking And drinking takes it over the top. Well,

01:01:03

I'm going to come and try it and see what it's like.

01:01:06

Oh, yeah.

01:01:07

I have to. Yeah, yeah. And then, obviously, when I get the whole home system, that'll be in our showers and everything, and I'll be able to do that too. So, I can't wait, man.

01:01:16

Yeah. It's pretty special.

01:01:19

Well, it's just a pleasure. Where can people buy this online?

01:01:22

So, just go to oforawater.com. We have subscription service. We offer 10% off if you join our plan. We're in more and more stores. We're getting into the stores as fast as we can. Mm-hmm. We're actually maxed out on our production right now. We're going to be amping up our production end of the year. We'll have just incredible capacity then. So right now, we're just about making all the water we can We can sell.

01:01:55

I love it.

01:01:56

Yeah.

01:01:57

Well, it's, it's Dr. Pompa approved, it's Benazzati approved, and now it is Dylan Gemelli approved as well. So, thank you, Ken, for, for everything, man, for coming and seeing me and for the water. And

01:02:08

you're very welcome. Thanks for inviting me. I enjoyed it.

01:02:10

I appreciate it.

01:02:11

Yeah.

01:02:12

All right, everybody, that wraps up another one. Stay tuned for plenty more to come. Dylan Gemelli signing off.

Episode description

The water you drink every day might not be hydrating you the way you think it is.
In this episode, I sit down with Ken Guoin, founder of Ophora Water, to challenge what we think we know about hydration, water quality, and longevity.
After switching from reverse-osmosis water to Ophora, I noticed significant changes in how I felt, including improvements in my hydration, appetite, and overall well-being.
Ken talks the technology behind oxygen-enriched water, why he believes conventional drinking water falls short, and the surprising ways water quality could influence our health.

In this episode, we talk about:
■ Why drinking more water doesn't always mean better hydration
■ The difference between reverse-osmosis and oxygen-enriched water
■ How hydration may influence energy, metabolism, and appetite
■ My personal experience with dehydration and irregular heart rhythms
■ The hidden chemicals in our drinking and shower water
■ Why Ken believes chlorine and plastics pose serious health risks
■ How oxygen-enriched water could support cellular health and longevity
■ Why Ken hasn't taken a conventional shower in years
