It's great. So CNN is investigating the identity of a man the network showed being rescued from a Syrian jail as he may have given a false identity. The investigation was lot, launched amid claims he was a member of Bashar Al Assad's forces. The man found under a blanket in a prison in Damascus by Clarissa Ward, the broadcaster's chief international correspondent, claimed he had been arrested 3 months ago and interrogated about his phone contracts, phone contacts. So the footage was described as remarkable by CNN's head of communications at the time praising Ward and her team for finding a Syrian prisoner left behind in a secret prison.

Verify Psy also alleged that the man had killed civilians, detained, or tortured numerous young men on fabricated charges, and taken part in military operations in 2014 when Assad's forces seized Homs from Syrian rebels following a 3 year siege.

So CNN released a statement on this. They said, quote, we have subsequently been investigating his background, and we are aware that he may have given a false identity. We are continuing our reporting into this and the wider story.

But this originally broke, this is an article from New York Post on December 9th saying, More mysterious drones were spotted pacing back and forth above New Jersey. New video shows, as government officials assured Garden State residents that there's nothing to fear. This footage was captured by a New Jersey mom and shared on Twitter, shows blinking lights buzzing over Bergen County on Sunday night. Quote, they're just pacing back and forth going very slow, the mom said in the clip. Let's check this clip out.

They're deploying detection tech to probe mysterious drone sightings over New York and New Jersey, saying that they finally have stepped up their efforts to investigate the rash of mysterious drone sightings. And we're not saying, like, I mean, this is not, like, 10 drone reports. Like, bro, there's 1,000 over the last couple of days. Yeah. Thousands, of all individual accounts. And, so let's go to the Pentagon.

Let's see what they had to say. This is, press secretary for the Pentagon. Let's check out this.

Sabrina, can you tell me what the Pentagon is doing to address this issue of drone sightings over New Jersey? It's near sensitive, installations. The FBI installations. The FBI is involved. What is the Pentagon doing?

Sure. So at this time so aware of those drone sightings that have been reported. At this time, we have no evidence that these activities are coming from a foreign entity or the work of an adversary. We're gonna continue to monitor what is happening, but, you know, at no point were our installations threatened when this activity was occurring.

You rule out that these are American drones or US military drones?

These are not US military drones. Again, this is being investigated by local law enforcement. What our initial assessment here is that these are not drones or activities coming from a foreign entity or adversary.

Representative Jeff Van Drew, who is a republican from New Jersey, was just on the air saying that Iran launched a mothership probably about a month ago that contains these drones and that that mothership is off the coast of the East Coast of the United States. Is there any truth to that?

There is not any truth to that. There is no Iranian ship off the coast of the United States, and there's no so called mothership launching drones towards the United States.

Well, we are aware of the drone sightings as I as I've said. I think there are more than 8 1,000 drones flown every day in the United States. With respect to the ability to incapacitate those drones, we are limited in our authorities. We have certain agencies within the Department of Homeland Security that can do that and outside our department. But we need those authorities expanded as well.

Just weird. So where do you think it is? Well, so literally, today, this morning, this report comes out that says the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission releases a report confirming radioactive material was lost in transit, and that the shipping container that it was on arrived damaged and emptied in New Jersey.

And now this report is dating back to December 2nd this year. So I don't know.
