Good morning, girlies.

00:00:05

It's The Toast.

00:00:08

It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know.

00:00:18

We'll start your day off swirly. It's The Toast.

00:00:23

I sound amazing.

00:00:25

Welcome back to The Toast and happy Tuesday. That feels like a Monday because, girl, we're back. Let me tell you, everyone loved yesterday's episode and I'm so glad, but like Nothing like—

00:00:33

I've never worked so hard on the ones and twos.

00:00:35

I've never worked so hard in my whole life. Like, I just— yeah, this to me is not work. We have a balance.

00:00:40

It's like, it's literally chit chat doing both the ads and the stories.

00:00:43

Like, it's just— try being an influencer for a day, you guys. Try it.

00:00:47

Well, I'm back. Thank you for holding it down. We really missed you.

00:00:52

I missed you as well.

00:00:53

Thank you, thank you. Yes, back home. We were in Dallas for the weekend, took a Code Journey. Went to a beautiful wedding. Have you gone to a wedding since being a mom?

00:01:05

That's a great question.

00:01:06

Claudia, it's too much.

00:01:09

Wait, let me think for real.

00:01:10

I don't think that you have, because I was trying to think if you have— if you've had this experience that like I had of going to a wedding and being a mom, and like it's just so—

00:01:18

yes, I have. Oh, who? Margot.

00:01:22

Our friend Margot.

00:01:23

Yeah, Margot.

00:01:25

Um, it's just so emotional. I agree. It's so— I've always been a very emotional person, postpartum woman. Like, of course, it's just too much for me to be at, like, such a beautiful— it was like such a beautiful Jewish wedding. It was meant to be in Israel. We were going to go to Israel for it. Instead, they brought Israel to Dallas. It was just— it was so beautiful. I want to say mazel tov to the bride and groom. Thank you so much for having us. Like, I was so moved by the whole thing. I'm really too emotional to go to a wedding right now. I can't even listen to you describe Orbiter. —How can I go to a wedding, listen to Bowie, Kala? I can't do it.

00:01:59

I have always been like that person crying at weddings. Like, I think that weddings— and I just want to say, this is not a slight to anyone else, this is not a supremacist statement, like, don't look into what I'm saying— but I don't know if I've really ever been to a wedding that wasn't a Jewish wedding. But I imagine if I did, I wouldn't be as emotional. There is something distinctly beautiful about the traditions the Sheva Brachot. Like, it is so— and it's like a, it's a timeless—

00:02:25

they've been doing this, you know, these things have survived generations, the Holocaust.

00:02:31

And they always, you know, at a Jewish wedding, they always bring up the Holocaust because like somebody under the chuppah is related to a Holocaust survivor. And let me tell you, like, I'm always the girl crying. So I, I think the first wedding I went to, I was literally still breastfeeding, so I was so postpartum. I definitely cried like the whole time.

00:02:45

Yeah, no, it's just every— there's such a triumph, you know. And I'm sure everybody feels that way about their own religion and culture and their wedding and like feeling so attached to it. And so that's just how I felt at this one and at most. And it was just— it was so beautiful. And honestly, it's hard to go as a mother. Even like all the speeches. Yeah, I know, Mom. I'm just like, you just must be so proud of these wonderful children that you've raised.

00:03:06

Well, I'm glad you had a good time because like we suffered here without you, so at least it wasn't for nothing. No, it wasn't for nothing.

00:03:10

And we're about to swirl it up this summer, so like we could go one day apart. We could.

00:03:14

This is gonna be a true nolafe. Today's our final episode of the week, so let's take our time. Let's, you know, let's not be thoughtless.

00:03:20

And final, for me, it's not first and final.

00:03:22

Let's not be thoughtless little pigs, you know. I would have a thoughtful episode. We've got Love Island recap, we've got Dear Toast.

00:03:29

I was actually supposed to get a facial like after we record today, but she just canceled, so I'm sort of like free as a bird. Yeah, I have some reading to do. We're recording Redheads today. I have to finish the book, which I can— I'll have enough time to finish it, but that's really it. So yeah, I'm free to chit-chat. Okay, let's do it. Let's do it. What else can I tell you guys about my coach journey? Well, I feel like I had this, you know, such a whirlwind. Whirlwind. Last you saw me, I was in Dallas in HD. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:03:58

I forgot that you podcasted from Dallas, so it hasn't been like that long.

00:04:01

No, it has. It was just one show that I missed, but I also feel like I haven't caught up with you like on FaceTime. I know. Oh, and also the best part about this wedding, additionally was I was sitting at a table of all Toasters. Dream. It was exclusively Toasters. I don't know if like the bride did that intentionally so like we could all get swirly.

00:04:20

So you got to conduct a meet and greet at the affair.

00:04:22

No, and then like the Toasters were at the table, like we're texting like their fellow Toasters and who they knew were Toasters in the room. Like it just became like a jizzno.

00:04:30

It's so unfortunate. Whatever. That's like, as big celebrities, sometimes people don't invite us to their weddings because we do sort of take the attention away from the bride.

00:04:37

We did in that. Oh, we were just like in the corner being swirly.

00:04:41

That happens to me a lot. I'm constantly not getting invited places. And I met so many great toasters.

00:04:46

The toasters are fantastic, you know.

00:04:48

I never had a bad toaster in my life.

00:04:50

And that's why, like, I love to be at a table with toasters because it's just gonna be like, you know, girls of the same elk.

00:04:55

Actually, speaking of swirlitude, we posed a sort of an interesting question on the Toast yesterday that I would love to get your, your take on. Okay. We— which character from Wicked do you think possesses the most swirlitude?

00:05:14

On the one hand, Glinda, taking it at face value, you know, obviously she's a girly girl, as are we. However, we do have the elk of Elphaba in us, just a little bit renegade, you know, truth tellers.

00:05:32

So Ben, yeah, I think—

00:05:33

and we had this conversation once, like, who are we in Wicked? And yeah, but that's not the question. No, but like, I think we speak to a Glinda and an Elphaba. Like, there is both. There's both.

00:05:45

So Ben was like, obviously Glinda, but Ben was looking at it from such like a one-dimensional POV because she like wears pink. Yes, like, swirly is an aesthetic, but it's more so like a state of mind and a characteristic. And I made the argument that actually not one person at the entire university possesses swirlitude. Not one person. Not one. Certainly not Nessa Rose.

00:06:04

No, I think that both Glinda and Elphaba— this is it— Glinda and Elphaba are both toasters, and that's how they connect. Like, that's why even though they seem so different, they actually can be friends, because of like this commonality in their personalities that allows them to be toasters and allows them to be friends. Yes. Yeah, I agree.

00:06:21

Elphaba and Glinda are both toasters. 1,000%.

00:06:25

Like done. Yeah, maybe like Glinda comes to Jizzno and Elphaba is more of like a closet listener, but I know that she can relate to our truth-telling ways. Uh, because I think about us, we're gonna tell the truth. Yeah, and nothing but the truth, whether you like it or not.

00:06:40

So hell, you can rot in hell.

00:06:43

Yeah, and I did catch up on all my Love Island. You know, going to a wedding, a 3-day wedding weekend, and being an active watcher of Love Island, it's very destabilizing. It's not an easy thing, and I So last night when I came home, I had to watch 2 episodes. So I watched like 1 and a half, and then I finished the second one while I did my makeup this morning with Granny the cook. Actually, I was really grateful I had a little stand for my iPad, but I got rid of her.

00:07:07

Um, we're back. We're so back.

00:07:08

For the last episode of the week.

00:07:12

Don't you feel like the last 2 episodes of Love Island, like, both could have been an email?

00:07:18

Everything about love Like, actually, you know what, what's funny is the first 3 weeks of Love Island up until Casa Amor could have been an email. Yes. Now that we're in it a little more, like, the conversations are conversating a little more. Like, we're saying some stuff, like, more than we were before. You know, 2 people sit down to have a conversation and it's not like pulling teeth, what are we gonna talk about, right?

00:07:38

But like, the Megan Thee Stallion challenge did not need to be 45 minutes long. Like, it never ended.

00:07:43

No, it was so stupid. And like, again, why is Megan Thee Stallion— and I loved her presence, and I think she like really uplifted the villa and they needed that because everyone was desperately— everyone is sort of, for lack of a better term, crashing out. Yeah. And they needed that like confidence boost and that energy, and I think she brought that. But like, again, why are we watching boys throw cake in the faces of women? And that's meant to be empowering? And Megan Thee Stallion's overseeing it and letting us know that that's how we're gonna feel better and release all of this tension? Mm-mm.

00:08:11

I ended up on like woke island talk, and somebody said, and you know what, like not me being woke, 'cause I agreed with her, That challenge was normalizing domestic violence, like deadass. That was crazy. 1,000%. Just turnt behavior. The show is disgusting. Like, oh, and what was humiliating was that I played mahjong last night and I was like, you guys, I will come, but I have to watch Love Island. So like, we played and it was on in the background. Um, and so there was one girl at the table who watched and then two girls who didn't. Like, I was genuinely humiliated to have— they have no idea what the show is. They're like, what's this show?

00:08:40

At least it wasn't one with a challenge.

00:08:42

I know. I was so— at the— at worst, they just thought it was boring. Like, you just watch these people talk? I'm like, yeah. So at worst it was boring, but I was like, please please don't do a challenge. Like, because I would have been humiliated in front of my friends.

00:08:52

Yeah, no, thank God for that. Thank God for that. So yeah, we're out of Casa, recoupled. Tonight's movie night.

00:09:01

We will do a recap of the last like 2 or 3 episodes because you and I haven't discussed even the recoupling. So that will be in the Love Island recap. We also have Dear Toasters. How are the stories? Anaya, in the words of Tiffany Pollard, It's hard to watch her be so dumb. Yeah, yeah.

00:09:20

Oh, and like, who did you vote for to come back from Casa?

00:09:25

Okay, so I didn't vote.

00:09:27

You didn't exercise your rights? I didn't.

00:09:29

I forget. Oh, because it was on Friday night and I turned my phone off. Okay. Um, and obviously I was voting for Amor because like we needed the truth teller Amora to come. And I was like, you know, I was not— I was— I knew everyone was gonna bring back Carl and I was not down.

00:09:42

No, I would have brought back Corey for Melanie. I literally would have brought—

00:09:47

I would have brought back Ronnie for Jen. Um, like, it's just every— not one girl has made a good decision this entire show. Like, and I hate to blame the women, but I just have higher expectations. Of course, I will say, like, this has been definitely a window into the mind of young men right now, and they are, like, legitimately evil. Like, a lot of these guys— the behavior from Gaul last night, sinister. This entire season It's been very alarming actually at what young— how young men interact in relationships. He says, I could never be a 21-year-old girl right now, like seriously.

00:10:16

I think that like boys are, you know, boys will be boys. They're acting the way— no, no, no, that's like I was just saying that they're acting the way that guys have always acted, right, in terms of action. The difference is the way that they speak now, and they say things the opposite of what they're doing. Maybe like back in our day they were like fuckboys and they, and they never said anything other than that, but that's who they were and what you saw was what you get. Now it's like sincere, like, acts like a life coach, and then he's just like gonna ruin your life coach.

00:10:44

Yeah, right. Wait, let's save all of this for the TV recap, and then I want to tell you one more thing before we dive into the stories. Guess what I saw on the street yesterday? Let me— I'll give you a clue. What holiday weekend is it? The Fourth of July. Kelly Ripa. I saw motherfucking Kelly Ripa. Let me tell you something, I got scared. I was like, hopefully she doesn't know about the Kelly's Mindless News segment. She was minding her own business. She looked so insane, like she looked so gorgeous, skin tight. Yeah, she was wearing a hat, like a cutesy little outfit because it was 1,000 degrees. She looked like a real celebrity, you know, like a glamorous woman. And she wasn't even wearing like a ton of makeup or like a dress. She just looked glamorous.

00:11:23

Oh, that's beautiful. I don't feel ready for 4th of July, like it's coming on too hard, too fast. Like I need some more time, you know. This is a big weekend. —And America 250, and then like, are all the America 250 festivities over after Fourth of July?

00:11:39

—Maybe this will get you in the mood, okay? And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the man who died, who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. 'Cause there ain't no doubt, I love this land. And God bless the USA. Claudia, that's— you feel ready?

00:12:12

You feel ready, Nick? No, but I, I appreciate the effort.

00:12:15

But you're closer, much closer.

00:12:16

I guess so. I don't know, it's just like a whirlwind week. I know, swirly, s— I want to like— I want to savor the— maybe I'll feel the energy like when we get to the Hamptons.

00:12:26

It's very like— yeah, it's very Americana.

00:12:28

Yeah, yeah. I brought like an American flag plate You're packing a plate? I, I packed a serving platter. I did. That's insane. Well, I packed it in my car that was shipped, so that's better. I packed a couple cookware, but I got such cute like American flag stuff from Rifle Paper Co. and I was like, I need this for Fourth of July, let me bring it to the Hamptons.

00:12:54

Okay, that's crazy, but I understand the method.

00:12:57

I actually packed a lot like I actually did pack a plate separate from the serving platter and a couple bowls and, and my Dutch oven. You packed your Dutch oven? I did pack my Dutch oven. Do you want to hear why? You want to hear the thinking? My facial is canceled, so I could tell you. Okay, so we need a Dutch oven in the Hamptons. What if we want a chili or a cassoulet? We just, we always need a Dutch oven. We're always like running to TJ Maxx to find one. Mm-hmm. And I actually just got like all new Le Creuset they gifted me, 'cause you know my color is being retired, shallot. Shallot. So they gifted me like a bunch of product, Dutch ovens, et cetera. But I have a Dutch oven. So I didn't open any of those yet. And once I open, but then the new ones, I'm not really gonna use like my old blue. So I was like, instead of, why don't I bring it to the Hamptons, retire it there. And then instead of having to buy like a cheap one.

00:13:49

We'll have a retirement ceremony for the old blue Le Creuset.

00:13:51

And so like my car was being shipped. So yeah, throw in a Dutch oven, whatever. Or whatever.

00:13:56

What the hell?

00:13:56

Lish and I are aligned. Lish and I are aligned on this. Okay, that's good. Yes, that's good. We're in alignment.

00:14:03

Well, the stars are aligned because Jax and Claudia are back together again, and I feel as though it's time to dive into Love Island, to dive into Dear Toasters, and the Fast Five stories.

00:14:13

What do you say? I say sure. Without further ado-da-do-da-do, it is time for the Fast Five stories that you do. Need to know.

00:14:22

And speaking of things we're packing for swirly summer, today's episode is brought to you by GU. They're renewal and rejuvenation toning pads, which Jackie's been talking about extensively. And I will say I got my own like a week or two ago. I've been using them every single day. I love that they don't dry out. Like, it's a lot of pads I feel dry out. Yeah. So these are toning pads which help improve the look of dark spots, which is something I'm really struggling with, especially postpartum, um, uneven texture, loss of elasticity. With just one swipe, each pad delivers 8 active ingredients including niacinamide, snail mucin, and peptides. So it's perfect for busy moms or summer travel. Yeah, skincare that like takes too long, I can't do. A swipe of a pad, I can do. The easy-to-use toning pads are a simple addition to your routine, leaving your skin feeling hydrated and looking brighter, smoother, and more refreshed. Each jar contains 100 pre-soaked pads, which gives you plenty of product for long-lasting use. Plus, they have a ton of other really popular products like the NAD+ Anti-Aging Moisturizer. It's a first-of-its-kind NAD+ skincare innovation. It's designed to support the skin's natural renewal process and help address visible signs of stress-related aging.

00:15:19

I've packed all of this for the Hamptons. I'm very, very excited. I'm taking care of my skin this summer. I don't know if I told you guys, but I'm staying out of the sun, my face. Um, so we've been using it, we love it. These are the magical pads that Jackie was talking about. And if you don't know how to use toner, which I don't, I find that having a toning pad is just so easy because I know how to use a pad. Today's episode is also brought to you by Roback. Let's talk about the category of outfit that we think is deeply underdiscussed, and that's the outfit that can survive an entire day. And with these high temperatures, I'm changing like 6 times a day because I'm soaking through my clothes. Dressing for one activity is just not a thing anymore. We're leaving the house and we're not coming back until night. So dressing for the possibility that my morning walk becomes errands, errands become lunch, lunch becomes should we play pickleball, and then suddenly you're at dinner still wearing the same thing and pretending that that was the plan all along.

00:16:17

And that's why Roback has become such a staple for us. It's very cute activewear, but not in a way where you look like you're aggressively training. It's more like sporty, pulled together, and you know, that's energy we're trying to give. Their skorts are really good. They're very flattering. The waistbands are super comfortable, gives you that smooth, held-in feeling without being tight or annoying. And the colors are so pretty. They have your classic neutrals, but also the fun summer shades that make the whole outfit feel a little more styled. I always reach for Roback because it's like comfortable, it's cozy, it's really cute. But these days I reach for it because it can absorb my sweat. It is so hot. I think it said it was like 95 degrees today, feels like 102. It is so hot. I'm sweating so much, like my clothes— I can't be having like pit stains. I'm a celebrity. Rhoback has a look for you whether you're golfing, playing tennis, walking, doing school pickup, or just trying to survive the heat. Use code TOAST, T-O-A-S-T, on rhoback.com for 20% off your first order through the end of this week. That's rhoback.com. Our code is TOAST, T-O-A-S-T, for 20% off your first order.

00:17:09

Just, just do it. Like, you will thank me. It's so comfortable, it's so cozy, and it's lightweight, which is exactly what we need in this truly torturous season of life. Today's episode is also brought to you by Quince. Summer always makes us rethink what we're searching for— reaching for every day. Lighter fabrics, better materials, and pieces that just feel good the moment you put them on. And Quince has beautiful everyday pieces like 100% European linen pants, dresses, and tops with styles starting at $32. Their denim is soft and easy to wear. Their organic cotton sweaters are perfect for layering on cool summer nights. And everything at Quince is priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands. So why we love Quince, we're always talking about them, is because like these days we're really kind of like crunchy in the sense that we care a lot about what material the clothes are made of. I really got into it because I was looking for baby clothes that were 100% cotton and like nobody sells that. And then Taylor Strecker told me that they have it on Quince. So once you get really into materials, you'll understand why Quince is so superior because their pricing is amazing.

00:18:00

When you're looking at really high quality items like designer level stuff, the pricing is insane. Well, Quince actually has the same level of quality but for way less because they work directly with factories. Um, they cut out the middleman and then pass the savings on to the customer, which we really love.. So I've gotten like linen pants, I've gotten trousers, I've gotten knit cardigans. It's really, really well made. I've had this stuff for years. I've had like cashmere sweaters from there for years, um, and I didn't pay an insane amount of price even though it is like the same quality as a high-end designer. So elevate your summer wardrobe with Quince. They have a— they've become a destination for not just clothing, but they've got home, kitchen, bedding, and beyond. Go to quince.com/toast for free shipping on your order and 365-day returns. Now available in Canada too. That's quince.com/toast for free shipping and 365-day returns. quince.com/toast. Quince.com/toast. That's quince.com/t-o-a-s-t. Today's episode is also brought to you by Outshine. If you're looking for a refreshing summer snack and a way to get all your fruit in, let me tell you about Outshine. I love Outshine. They're going viral, I don't know if you know.

00:18:59

Um, so Outshine, you might have seen them, they're everywhere. They're a classic childhood staple that like are seriously bringing us well into adulthood. It's a really refreshing snack. Almost all of their bars are under 100 calories. They are a frozen snack made with real simple ingredients like real fruit and fruit juice to help you snack brighter. Outshine believes when you snack good, you feel good. So they offer a wide variety of fruit bars and tons of crave-worthy flavors. They've got the mini fruit pops, which are like the variety packs that you can get. The kids love them. Perfect for the summer. And these really kind of sweltering temperatures, it's important that our snacks be working for us. And that's why we love Outshine. What's inside of every Outshine fruit bar? It's real fruit or fruit juice. So every bite tastes like biting into a ripe piece of fruit. It's juicy, it's refreshing, and it's bursting with flavor. And you don't have to, like, you know, peel anything or cut or slice or do dishes. They make it really easy to enjoy, to experience the joy of fruit. Many fruits are delicious, but they take work.

00:19:47

But Outshine is just taking the juicy, flavorful goodness and making it easy to enjoy. Next time you're at the grocery store, like, just pick it up. Find the flavor of your choice. If you want the big pots, you want the mini ones, the kids love it. It's just so good. And you need to have it on hand for the summer because, like, sometimes you need a sweet treat. Sometimes you're also sweating. Enter an Outshine fruit pop. So find the Outshine fruit bars in the freezer aisle at retailers nationwide. And that's on distribution. Yeah, they sell them everywhere. Find Outshine fruit bars Fritz's Aisle at retailers nationwide. Thank you, Turd Wide. You're welcome.

00:20:16

Our first story: Amanda Batula is leaving Summer House after 10 seasons in the wake of controversy. So yeah, Amanda Batula will not be returning for season 11 of Summer House, Variety has learned.

00:20:31

I heard a lot of people aren't returning. Um, I don't know if this was true or not, it was just like a rumor circulating that also not returning are pretty much all the new people. KJ Dara, Ben. Okay, maybe that was it.

00:20:46

Bailey? No, she's there. Yeah, so that makes sense. KJ, Dara, Bailey was great. Yeah, like, so that's— that makes sense.

00:20:55

Yeah, and Sierra and Lindsay are operating in the same capacity, but they're like not full-time, but they're like, you know, featured. Yeah. Kyle? Yes.

00:21:04

Where'd you see all this? Threads. I did—

00:21:07

I tell you, I redownloaded Threads. That's where everything Summer House on Love Island goes down. Yeah, sorry, I needed to do it for my work.

00:21:13

Okay, go ahead.

00:21:14

Now, I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but this show sounds boring, and it's really reminding me of Vanderpump Rules, except with Vanderpump Rules everybody filmed, so like we got another like 1 or 2 good seasons out of it because everyone like was dealing with the fallout from that. I know we had to fire them, like I know they're bad evil people, but like I kind of want to see what they're up to.

00:21:35

Yeah, and like if their relationship is sort of struggling, which I feel like it is. You do?

00:21:42

Uh, Jamoah said that like somebody overheard them in a bar saying I love you, but like that's too much.

00:21:46

I don't know, I feel like, I feel like it, it— they're having a hard time. I don't think it's like amazing, and it would be interesting television and watching them like try to, you know, build back friendships.

00:21:59

And by the way, it's entirely possible that they weren't asked back or that they didn't want to come back. I think like Wes maybe, but I think maybe Amanda's like had enough. I don't know, I don't know whose call it was. I don't really care. All I know is like the cast that was introduced to me sounded boring as hell. Like, I feel like it was back where we're at. The show got this huge bump, this national platform, and it's like, okay, we cut over all the like interesting bits out and now we're just left with the same cast we've had for the last 10 years.

00:22:22

Yeah, no, this wouldn't have been like my call, as I said, but I feel like I'm always on the opposite side of like what—

00:22:28

unless they're on In the City.

00:22:30

Well, yeah, but so is Kyle.

00:22:33

No, but I, I need Amanda and Wes somewhere. Sorry. Yeah, uh, I'm crazy.

00:22:37

I know, I know. From the summer house. I can't take on In the City. I'm sorry, I just can't.

00:22:41

So funny, because last night at Mahjong, my friend Rachel was like, are you watching In the City? And I was like, no. And she was like, what? Like, it— I just, I can't. Like, between Love Island, I have a full-time job.

00:22:51

Maybe after Love Island you ask me again, and after the summer, because I want to enjoy my summer.

00:22:56

Being introduced to all these new people. Like, no one— I watched the first 2 episodes, nobody really stuck out to me. And I'm not— I'm actually at a place right now with my Bravo people, like, I can't take on new Bravo celebrities. Like, I'm still dealing with the ones that I currently have.

00:23:08

Yeah, yeah. So just because they're going to In the City, I don't know like how much that means. Like, I'll watch Summer House, but I don't— I think that's about it. Yeah, this just sounds boring.

00:23:20

Like, when I saw the lineup, Jesse was back Like, it was a good show before West Mandeville. Like, it was a fine show. It wasn't super popular. Like, actually, no, it was, it was popular, but it wasn't, you know, the thing everyone was talking about. And now it is, and we're removing the element of why people are talking about it. Like, I get it, we want Sierra back, and Sierra would never film with them, but I don't think Sierra should be back on this show. I think she's graduated. I think it was the best thing that they could have done for her. Yeah, go on to do Dancing with the Stars and spend your summers in Fiji and let them, you know let them take over this, like, what I think now is a show that's beneath Sierra. What's bad? I— maybe like Jesse, maybe the other castmates don't want to film with them, not just Sierra. Maybe, but I don't know.

00:24:01

I think Jesse could forgive Wes. It's just going to take time and, and thought. But it's like, now that if he's not on the show anymore, like, will they all still—

00:24:09

are they still doing Ozark? Are they still doing what? Ozark.

00:24:14

Oh, then there's, you know, the, the rumors like that everyone's talking about Ozark. But no, it's like, if they went back on the show, Jesse and Wes would eventually be friends again because they would film together, they would have a lot of conversations, they would finally talk. And it's like, if he doesn't go back on the show, I guess that's it on their friendship, because like, who's gonna put all that much energy into something if you're not being filmed?

00:24:34

Yeah. And I actually think that the damage done to their friendship is like more than we think.

00:24:39

Yeah, I mean, I feel like Jesse's me at a wedding.

00:24:42

Can't stop. Yeah, literally. Yeah, I think it's worse than we even know because it's not like the main point of this whole scandal, like it's a subplot.

00:24:55

Yeah, yeah, it's very sad. So okay, they've made their choice.

00:25:01

Also, um, Sierra is currently on After Sun, and I just want to say I feel like I know she had to take the job when they offered it to her, but I feel like in hindsight—

00:25:11

and it's a huge platform. No, it's a huge—

00:25:13

it's a huge platform. But I think in hindsight, it's kind of a bad call because first of all, I don't know if you saw, they're like getting backlash. And it's just like the Love Island fans are so mentally ill that like no matter who does it, like it's not a reflection on their performance. Like you're just gonna get hate. They're getting a lot of hate. Um, I think it's kind of taken her out of the world because she's on the other side of the globe. It's taken her out of the world for like 2 months where it's like opportunities, events, campaigns that she can't do when she was like— had a lot of this momentum from the reunion. And I just feel like she couldn't have known it, but it's like this once a week show that nobody watches, and the people that do hate it, and they hate the host, and they send them death threats. Like, her and Tefi are like on Threads begging for their lives. Like, yeah, I don't know, I feel like it was a bad call.

00:25:58

Yeah, but I also think that there's obviously going to be crazy people who like take it so personally and are mad. I found it crazy that they were responding to people. Oh, me too. That's like, you're on TV, like they're in their basement, like you don't have Jackie.

00:26:11

They're literally on an island like with nothing else to do. That's what I mean. I don't think it's good for her.

00:26:15

Yeah, yeah. I haven't seen all of what's being said and I don't like— I don't even know what they've done.

00:26:22

There's not even like one criticism. People are like, you're siding with the girls too much. Other people, you're siding with the guys too much. People saying that like they just you know, regurgitate things they see on TikTok, and it's like, okay, doesn't everyone do that? Like, it's just— no, but I, I—

00:26:34

when you are a host, and this is like being lost, but like, you're meant to just host. Like, yeah, you're not taking sides, you're not like the personality.

00:26:43

And then I also heard that the two of them are like bickering a lot. Really? Infighting within the host. Yeah, I saw like an awkward clip.

00:26:49

Oh, that is awkward, because last I saw them in the challenge, they were like besties, you know.

00:26:54

But listen, 3 weeks already. They're also getting Stockholm syndrome. Like, they're—

00:26:58

oh wow, that's really awkward. But no, like, you don't need to have like a ton of personality to be a host. Just moderate.

00:27:06

Like, and actually, when you have a lot of personality as a host, I actually think that is a detriment to your hosting abilities.

00:27:11

Yeah, yeah. And that seems to not be what people are hiring for anymore. Yeah. But I think it's a better way of hosting it and let the let, you know, the story speak for itself. Yeah, stay out of the way. I don't know what they're doing and how much personality they're injecting, but like a decent amount.

00:27:32

I felt that way during the challenge too, like they were kind of stepping on each other to like get a joke in. It was a lot.

00:27:37

It was like, yeah, yeah, it was a lot.

00:27:38

Very like, like, you know, it's because they were finally like getting a chance on the main show. Like they had to— this was their big opportunity. I get it. I would have done the same exact thing.

00:27:48

Yeah, like you're right, such like a high level of like—

00:27:51

and how many people you think watch an episode, a given episode of Love Island?

00:27:54

A couple million. It's huge. Yeah, for both of them. Yeah, yeah. No, they would have never said no, but like, I mean, nothing's ever going to be completely smooth sailing.

00:28:03

Yeah, I just feel like a lot of the wind behind her from the scandal and then like all the campaigns, it has sort of fizzled a little bit because she's just sort of been taken out of the equation by living in Fiji for the summer.

00:28:14

Just wait for Dancing with the Stars. And also, like, she's there, what, 6 weeks?

00:28:19

Wait, July 4th is when Summer House starts, so what, she's gonna miss like the first month?

00:28:23

Yeah, but she's a Lindsay.

00:28:26

Yeah, but like, that's a lot of time to miss.

00:28:27

She'll miss like the first 2 or 3 weekends.

00:28:31

Oh really, is that it?

00:28:33

Yeah, because it ends mid-July. Oh, thank God. Yeah, they keep saying it's been 3 weeks, so we've got probably 2 and a half more weeks.

00:28:42

Can't come soon enough.

00:28:43

Yeah. Next story. Learned this wedding patrol. Top wedding guru's post is sparking speculation that Taylor and Travis are already married. So the person who was— oh really? The person who was rumored to be Taylor Swift's wedding planner and designer, which I feel like was like pretty much all but confirmed, his name is Rishi He posted this on Instagram. Today I asked 23 of my colleagues if when they started in the event industry, span of 7 to 45 years, that they would have ever dreamed or imagined they would be a part of what we created today. Unanimously, the answer was no. That in itself means more than I can ever explain. I can't wait to share what we created, but for now, I'm just eternally grateful for those who mean more to me than I could ever explain. Then also someone else posted Samantha Roberts, who owns a social media agency known for its strategic orchestration of wedding release rollouts, creating digital moments that ripple across the internet. She posted, tonight was a career highlight. 15 years ago, I came to New York because I loved events. I dreamed that one day I'd work events like the one I did tonight.

00:29:51

And then I don't think Taylor hired a social media strategy firm for her wedding, just saying.

00:29:56

Well, she might like do content, wedding content.

00:30:00

Like, she has a whole production company. She's not hiring some random wedding vendor. I just want to say, none of this means anything to me. If anyone is actually a contracted vendor for Taylor's wedding, they ain't posted Instagram stories about it that night.

00:30:14

Okay, so I'm sorry, no. So the social media girl tagged a couple people, including wedding planning guru Marcy Blum, but Marcy Blum says that this was not for Taylor and Travis, but rather a fabulous summer party for her favorite client.

00:30:27

Yeah, of course this is not Marcy Blum. Like, Marcy Blum— no, you guys.

00:30:32

So what do you think about Rishi's post?

00:30:35

So Rishi has not been confirmed but hasn't been denied. I think he's potentially— I think maybe he does a lot of like really insane events, and perhaps this was just one of them. Also, as of this moment, like trucks are being loaded into Madison Square Garden. Like, the event is act— if it is in the Garden, whatever, it is actively being set up now. Yeah. So I don't know what the hell they accomplished. Well, I— when I read— or, or, or, or all of this is, you know, a part of the strategy. Oh no, I don't think so.

00:31:12

When I read Rishi's post, I didn't immediately think, oh, they are already married.

00:31:17

I thought, oh, the venue was set up like that.

00:31:19

Oh, they had an amazing day of setup.

00:31:22

Yeah, except they're like fresh flowers. They're not getting married till Friday. Why would you have the flowers installed on a Monday?

00:31:26

Yeah, especially with no like lighter air.

00:31:29

And yeah, like major weddings, like some weddings they set up in the morning, sometimes the night before. Major weddings, 2 days, like maybe 3. It's a little early for flowers.

00:31:36

They could have had like a, an event, a wedding event, you know. There's lots of welcome party, rehearsal dinner.

00:31:45

What's so exciting is that like this time next week we should just know a lot more, and that's exciting. I am also like, uh, I saw more fueling the MSG July 3rd theory, which is like the one and only theory, and it's either just like totally true or totally not true, but there are a lot of street closures within the Madison Square Garden region, similar to how they did for the NBA championships, where it's like, it's like a bubble. You can't get in past 9th Avenue, and you can't get in past 33rd Street. So there is like a— there was a permit to have those streets closed. Yeah, which is insane. That really speaks to her level of fame. Like, celebrities get married all the time. They don't shut down like huge streets in the biggest city in the world, in the most dense, by Penn Station, like multiple days.

00:32:30

Like, those streets are closed right now or no? July 3rd. Just— okay, it's insane.

00:32:35

They literally did that for the first time ever for the NBA championships. They don't do that. Like, that's crazy. Unless like the president. I remember one time down the street She shut down one street in SoHo where like there's cobblestone, nobody can even drive. She shut down the street. You can— Dior, yeah, you can shut down the street. You can— you can't shut down a neighborhood. She's shutting down probably like 8 blocks according to the permits filed by the New York City Department for July 3rd. For July 3rd. Okay, I'm so excited.

00:33:08

Like, this is huge. Yeah, huge. Yeah, I'm excited too. I'm ready to know more. I guess the next show we do, like, we will know something. Oh, that's so true.

00:33:19

The next show we do.

00:33:21

Ow! Yeah. Watch this space. What a thrillifying tale.

00:33:25

I've been listening to the Wicked Tony.

00:33:27

Oh! A thrillifying tale. That's a good one. It is. I don't have that one. I just heard it a lot at the fucking Tonys.

00:33:34

Oh, I'll bring it to the Hamptons. You don't know about the thrillifying tale? No. Of Elphaba. The woman who narrates it is annoying. Like is annoying. She's just jealous. 1,000%. Like, I need— I know all— first of all, Hugh Laurie for Gerald the Giraffe. Do you have that one? No.

00:33:49

Gerald of Can't Dance? Yeah, Gerald the Giraffe.

00:33:53

Hugh Laurie does that Tony. He has a Tony? Giraffes can't dance, you silly fool. Oh, Gerald, don't be daft. He's so crazy.

00:34:03

Like, are you ready for our next story? I guess. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Leila Taylor comes out as bisexual on Jay Shetty. So Leila Taylor sat down with Jay Shetty to announce that she's bisexual. She said, I'm gay and I'm bi and I date women and men. She divulged that during the conversation that she's currently talking to a woman who kicked off their romance by liking one of her Instagram photos, but she did not say who. She called the mysterious woman emotionally aware and very patient. She's been very understanding and letting me take this all at my own pace because it's still just so foreign to me and so new. Um, so she did a wide-ranging interview that I have not seen. Um, no, I mean, the highlight is that she has shared that she is bisexual and then she's, you know, dating a woman now.

00:34:55

Pargee, that's great. That's really great. Um, I feel like Leila from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I don't know, I just feel like so unmoved by her. Do you know what I mean? Like, this is honestly really big news. Like, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has their first LGBTQ, like, cast member. Like, it's big news. I don't know what— anyways, like Okay, I don't know, that's great. Like, that's really great. What's, what's next, you know? Like, yeah, yeah, she just like hasn't really made an impact on the show in a meaningful way yet. Yeah, I think a few of the girls actually know— pretty much everyone. Macy hasn't really like made like a huge impact, but she shared a lot and she's like—

00:35:44

she has. People love her. People really—

00:35:46

I do like her. I was just trying not to like single out Leila. Yeah. Yeah, but she's like the only one who's also wasn't always a full-time cast member. She was like a friend of sort of vibe, and she worked her way up. I don't know, I just—

00:35:58

so maybe this is like part of the reason why it felt like she hasn't made me— she's like holding back. Yeah, and like not being her full self. Yeah, so I'm, I'm happy for her.

00:36:12

Don't you feel like Jay Shetty's like really, um like leveled up recently. Yeah, you see all of his like promotional materials where like if someone comes on, they do like a slow-mo video and they sit down and it says Jay Shetty. It looks like Vogue. Like, do you see that thing?

00:36:26

Oh, I saw like the Vogue-looking thing. Yeah, but I also feel like his guests have been like very, you know, relevant. Swirly. Yeah, which I like. And I think he's like, we need a swirly avenue like him where it's like serious conversations You know, not just like tea or whatever.

00:36:45

Yeah, right. You know, I went on Jay Shetty.

00:36:46

I know, and I feel like that's like sort of inspired everyone else too. Jackie, I think you need to go on.

00:36:53

No. Would you ever? Do you like don't open up?

00:36:56

Like have like an emotional combo?

00:36:59

Yeah. No, you wouldn't?

00:37:01

No, no. Like unless if he wants like just talk for fun, like, but like, no, no, no, honestly, Jay Shetty doesn't talk for fun. No, I don't. No, that's not my style. For me, for— I know, you know, I know. But, um, but it's good stuff and I appreciate what he's doing, what he does over there. Yeah, absolutely. Creating, you know, a safe space for conversation. Absolutely. There's a couple goods, you know. Now we have like— there's like a lot of good avenues. I feel like it's like now like Jay Shetty, Call Her Daddy, Jake, Pass the Puss. Yeah. Yeah, Vile Files, if you're like really reality TV, very reality TV. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, are you ready for our next story? Oh, so mazel tov to Layla!

00:37:47

Oh, mazel tov to Layla, wishing you the best. Yeah, looking forward. Oh, Taylor Frankie Paul arrested, question mark? Not arrested, like reported, cops called on her by Dakota. So like, take everything with a grain of salt, but like the fact that these two are still interacting. I know, and just as she was like starting to emerge a little bit, they say her season might air this summer. I know that they have a child together, so like no communication is like not an option.

00:38:13

Yeah, but this is annoying. Yeah, she posted on her Instagram briefly, she said, 'Cops called on me again this week. What are the odds? And it's not people, it's one person. It's the same person. It's obsessive.' TMZ learned that it was Dakota. Obviously, police tell TMZ they were contacted by Dakota on Friday, who shared concerns about his protective order with Taylor. Regarding drop-off and custody of their kid. Officers contacted her to make sure they were all on the same page regarding the protective order and drop-off hours. We're told the matter is now in the hands of the district attorney's office.

00:38:42

Yeah, I could see her having been like 10 minutes late and he called the cops, right? Like the drop-off, right?

00:38:47

There's no new altercation, so it's just a really bad headline. Yeah, I guess that's true. Yeah, yeah. Um, okay, next story. Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi fly under the radar. At the airport in Australia after their getaway. So Kendall and Jacob were spotted trying to fly under the radar at Brisbane Air— Brisbane Airport in Australia. Over there, I love flying to Brisbane. I like Brisbane. I've never been, but I've heard it's beautiful.

00:39:15

You've been to Brisbane? And Brisbane is beautiful this time of year.

00:39:18

We should go. Girls trip. Girls trip to Brisbane. Um, so they're just like wearing COVID masks, scarves, hoods, and hats to go through the airport. They're still spotted. Um, just—

00:39:32

yeah, I mean, they're giants, both of them, so they're gonna be spotted. I don't think celebrities like really can fly private to Australia, right? Like, it's such a long flight, you sort of have to fly commercial.

00:39:41

Well, you could stop and fuel up. Yeah, I guess that's his hometown.

00:39:46

So like, we're meeting the parents, we're doing the hometown tour. Right, he's Australian now. Yeah, he is. Beats me.

00:39:54

Yeah. Okay, cute.

00:39:57

I just want to reflect on Joey King for a moment, if I may. Okay.

00:40:04

Joey, oh Joey.

00:40:07

And I know she's like very happily married, and I genuinely like, I like her and I wish her the best. It's just really crazy to think about Jacob Elordi's arc, both relationship-wise, career-wise, like where he started like he's dating Kendall Jenner. Like, that's insane. Like, and everybody knows him now. It's like that hot actor who dates Superman. I was like, I know him as the brother from Kissing Booth who was dating his co-star Joey King. Yeah. And that relationship ruined the franchise.

00:40:35

Yeah. So what did you want to say?

00:40:37

I didn't want to say anything. I just wanted to reflect, and I feel like I've reflected.

00:40:40

You felt sufficiently reflected? Well, my reflection show— I feel like Jacob Elordi is a hard person to be in a relationship with because he's always like striving, you know? Like walking really fast. No, no, striving.

00:40:54

Like, oh, they said striding. Like, I would not be able to keep up with his pace.

00:40:57

Climbing the ladder, you know, like Austin Butler type.

00:41:00

Yeah, Austin Butler. Yeah.

00:41:01

But so then I wonder what he's like in a relationship once he's reached the top. And I would say, like, Kendall Jenner, like, so successful, so beautiful.

00:41:07

Like, hopefully he's more relaxed.

00:41:08

Hopefully he can just, like, enjoy, you know?

00:41:11

Yeah, I would love to see, like, a campaign with these two, like a high-end fashion campaign.

00:41:17

Like her and Bad Bunny for Gucci.

00:41:19

Yeah, yeah, I would just like to see that. Yeah. And I just want to say, I feel like he's not a good boyfriend, just based on vibes.

00:41:29

Interesting. Why? Whatever.

00:41:31

You ever see that video where like he took Olivia Jade to the Tribeca Film Festival, walked the red carpet, she was waiting for him at the end and he like literally walked right past her because he forgot she was there and like walked up the stairs? Yeah, I don't know, it's just a vibe, just a feeling that I have.

00:41:42

Yeah, and like, I just don't like all this. Like, why do you have— like, we know it's you. What's with the mask and the scarf and the hat?

00:41:48

And like, just literally, there's a horde of paparazzi following you. Like, the jig is up, right?

00:41:52

Like, just smile. What if you just smiled? You're beautiful, you're in love, just stop being so serious.

00:42:01

Like, if you strap me up to a heart rate monitor and like showed me photos of these two, like, it does nothing for me. Yeah, I'm like, you're saying these two people haven't dated already twice? Like, it just doesn't feel new, it doesn't feel fresh. Like, I liked when he dated Olivia Jade, especially now, but when they started dating, she was like fresh off the heels of her scandal. So like, it was kind of just a crazy, risky, fun thing for her to do. Like, this is so uninspiring to me. It reminds me of Kim and Louis.

00:42:24

No, but I'm here for them. I'm here for them dating now. Like, I am. And so I don't care. I just like— I wish it would just like stop being so like serious. Like, you're walking through the airport, it's not like— it's not a crazy high-stakes situation. Just like, give us a wave, you know?

00:42:41

Ah, everybody, I don't care.

00:42:44

Oh, not me. No, I think they're cute. I think they're cute. I want Kendall.

00:42:51

This Callum Turner thing— who's that? Dua Lipa just got married and everyone was like obsessed with the wedding. Very like Euro summer Italian, like cigarettes. But do you know who he— so they, they have like this very famous meet cute. They were like in a restaurant or something reading the same book. And he looks at her, whatever, and he's like, I guess now we're on the same page, whatever. Like, the whole theme of like the welcome party was books. It's like library, on the same page. And Stassi baby hosts a podcast with Victoria, Kylie's old assistant. Victoria goes on the podcast, starts talking about her ex-boyfriend who like never wants to be seen in public with her, like didn't want to be famous, like was so mean hiding her. It's Callum Turner. And she actually says that Dua Lipa and Callum Turner met when he was on a date with Victoria at a restaurant. She got off to go to the bathroom. So like their whole like meet cute book page is like a little not true.

00:43:43

Yeah, well, it's true, it's just half the truth. Correct. Well, damn. But they got married, so sorry, sister.

00:43:50

Yeah, so it's over.

00:43:51

Yeah, yeah, yeah, they made it right. Yeah, right. Um, our fifth and final story, which will lead into our Love Island recap which is brought to you by Heads Will Roll.

00:44:05

Comedy royalty Kate McKinnon returns as Queen Mortuana in Heads Will Roll: Heir Apparent, the highly anticipated sequel to Audible's fan favorite original comedy series. She's flanked once more by co-star Emily Lynn and a new star-studded ensemble including Richard Kind, Laurie Metcalf, Jimmy Fallon, Megan Mullally, Sam Richardson, and Carrie Coon, plus an extensive cast of comedy greats. Seriously extensive. This is a wall-to-wall comedy at its highest level because when we left our gloriously unhinged queen and her raven sidekick JoJo, the unlikely besties had fled to the woods for a simpler life. Well, it didn't last. Queen Mo is back on the throne, an heir apparent, and facing her greatest challenge yet: produce an heir before her 40th birthday or lose everything and spend eternity as keeper of the menstruary. It's a very sticky situation. Meanwhile, JoJo's botched wing enhancement surgery turns into her toad, leading to unexpected interspecies romance and a choice between royal duty and normal life. With her throne on the line, Mo and JoJo embark on an increasingly unhinged scheme to secure succession. Part medieval mayhem, part razor-sharp social commentary, Heads Will Roll: Heir Apparent is a fantasy comedy for the ages. You're welcome.

00:46:22

Okay, our fifth and final story leading into our TV recap: Love Island USA's Tierra Davis allegedly threatened to shoot a girl years before entering the And one thing about me is like, I will not tolerate any TT slander.

00:46:33

I love her.

00:46:34

No, I know, this is like very inconvenient.

00:46:36

I need more context before—

00:46:39

like, so here, here, here you go. Tierra Davis allegedly beat up a girl years before entering Love Island USA over jealousy involving her ex-boyfriend. This according to the girl who ran to court to get protection. TMZ obtained the 2018 restraining order filed against Tierra by a woman named Shayla Woodard. According to the court docs, 16-year-old Shayla claims 17-year-old Tierra threatened to shoot— oh my God— threatened to shoot her with a gun after physically assaulting her. She said she knew Tierra from a friend of a former classmate. Shayla said she did not know Tierra personally but believed Tierra was upset because she knew her boyfriend. Shayla said she called the police on Tierra, but she kept harassing her. She asked for a restraining order requiring Tierra to stop contacting her and stay away from her and her family. A temporary restraining order was granted, but the case was later dismissed in December.

00:47:25

This is just like inconvenient because Love Island, like, you know, they do— I think Parmita also has some social media posts that have come out.

00:47:33

Yes, she does. Well, the thing is, Love Island takes action against like social media posts. That's like what they've taken action against. I actually think that something like this— and I do think something like this comes up in a background check.

00:47:44

Yeah, absolutely. So like, this is something that they—

00:47:46

you know, the thing about the Love Island social media post, people are like, how did they not find them? A lot of them are like private messages or like Snapchat disappearing stories that they could never have seen, but someone from their personal life has held on to for 6 years. And so they could have never found that. This is different because this they would have found in a routine background check. Absolutely. And they chose to overlook it, I guess.

00:48:07

Well, I feel like that is the type of— obviously not gunslinging, but like, this is the type of energy you want for Love Island. Somebody who will like fight for their man. Yeah, like, they do. You're right, they definitely knew this. And hopefully it doesn't take her off the show because I feel like she's integral.

00:48:21

No, and there's not like a a history of them letting go of anyone for like past actions or anything.

00:48:28

It's just like for anything other than the social media posts.

00:48:32

And so I think Parmeeta, I'm expecting her days are numbered. I don't know why she wouldn't get booted like everyone else, right?

00:48:40

She also had a slip of the N-word.

00:48:42

She did, in a DM, like in a—

00:48:45

now in a text, right? Obviously it's all bad, but like singing it in a song is different than like using it colloquially. I argue that the second is worse.

00:48:52

Yeah, I would say so, but not that, you know, it matters. But I will be shocked if Parmita doesn't go. And at this point, like, kind of been a while, and everyone needs to go. You did it, like, gone.

00:49:04

Alana, while they kicked her out, like, she was sort of necessary. It was like a big deal to remove her because it sort of removed any wrongdoing on Zach and Casa more. Like, Parmita being kicked out, like, seriously just changes nothing. Like, she's gonna be taken out single again.

00:49:18

He's gonna be fucking heartbroken. He— they I've actually never met two people who are more right for each other. I actually— so while I think he's like really awful in what he did to Kenzie, um, I kind of really like them together. They're a happy, loving couple, and it's fun to watch two people just get along, close off early, know what they want. Yeah, that's true. Bada boom.

00:49:39

Yeah, I, I, I find Kenzie increasingly more difficult to feel bad for after last night. I've actually— I have moved on from the Corbin thing.

00:49:47

No, the thing is the way that Corbin went into Casa, like, not giving Kenzie a second thought, as if he's just like single now, like a high schooler, when they went through something, they, they were really liking each other. And he could move on with Parmida, I could care less, but just like the fact that night one it was as if he had like nobody waiting for him, that was kind of gross. But Kenzie— and so separate from that, what Kenzie did last night in kissing Gaul— I'm sorry, I'm actually done with her. I'm done with her. Like, I'm done with her too. I think is the 8th guy that she's exploring, and she keeps saying like, I'm here, I want to find love, I want to find love, and so I want to like see it with everyone who I feel a spark with. But like, part of like finding love and like loving someone, respecting relationships that you're already having, is ignoring any other spark that you might have with someone because you're like locked in on this. And I think her and Dylan are so cute. I think he's such a good guy.

00:50:37

I think he likes her so much, and he's like, there's no problem. He's normal, he makes her laugh, he can hold a conversation. Absolutely. Beauty. She likes him. And so the fact— and when Jen said it a few days ago. She was like, if Kenzie likes Dylan so much, they're so good, like, why does she even feel the need to like see if there's something there with Goll? Which is true. And it's not like she hasn't explored this whole time. Yeah, you don't want to come in and the first person you like— she had Sean, she had Zach, she had Gabe, she had Caleb, she had Corbin, she has Dylan. She has—

00:51:08

and you know what, all of the girls, you could tell, because when we talk about the core 4, like, they're obviously a clique It's Kada, Melanie, Trinity, and Anaya. They don't include Kenzie in that. And you know what, I think maybe they like sniffed her out because she's a bad fucking friend to Jen, who's like— Jen has nothing going on in this villa. Like, you can't just not kiss one guy.

00:51:30

Yeah, no, and I'm sorry, Jen like was so right.

00:51:32

She's like, Kenzie just like wants multiple guys chasing her. Like, she thinks she's like in a movie.

00:51:36

Yeah, and like, we watched that movie already, Caleb and Corbin. And like, now you met someone who's really great for you, like now the move is to settle down. If you came in and the first person you're talking to, you get sort of like caught up with them and you're like, wait, I want to explore before I settle down, I would understand that. But you've spoken—

00:51:51

that's not what happened.

00:51:51

You've spoken to 8 people here. If you even want to— I don't even think you should be talking to Gal because you and Dylan are good. Like, what more are you looking for? But if you want to talk to him to see something, like the fact that they kissed and you could tell he— she was looking at him like, are you gonna kiss me? She— even though like he leaned in, she like gave him the look. And I just— if you need to talk to him, do it without kissing. It's so disrespectful. And I hope Dylan leaves her.

00:52:15

And right on the heels of like him being so rude to Jen, that conversation was so painful. He just sort of like— he has not liked Jen since the beginning, and it's bothered me that she couldn't see that because she should not have chosen him. She should have chosen Ronnie. Like, literally, she always says like, I'm used to being with guys who are obsessed with me. Gal has never made it seem like he's obsessed with you. Ronnie was.

00:52:35

I, uh, they were friends and it was cute, but like, was he just gonna try and use her to like get on the villa? And did he actually like her? Like, he liked her as a friend and I want to be in the villa.

00:52:44

But she knew Gal was like not 100%. And so like, that conversation was actually infuriating. He'd picked a fight just to be like, you know what, I feel like actually this is gonna work out. It was like she was— when he was like, you're being really aggressive, she— like, nobody in the world has actually ever been less aggressive than Jen in that moment. Yeah.

00:52:59

And also it's like, okay, so now you're kissing Kenzie She's tickling your hand. I'm seeing like plenty of touchiness. So are you not a touchy guy, or it's just with Jen?

00:53:09

The thing is, if you watch, I don't think he really ever liked Jen. Yeah, and I think it was kind of obvious. And that's what I mean when I say like it was frustrating that she couldn't see that.

00:53:17

Yeah, but I think also like knowing that maybe he had a chance with Kenzie, it was like, well, you know what, I'd rather end things with you, explore them with Kenzie, as opposed to like blooming where I'm planted here with Jen. Yeah, so it was at first I was like, you know what, I can like— when he— the first conversation that they had where he was like, that's just like not how I move, that's not my like language, whatever, I was like, okay, you know what, not everyone has to be like spreading their legs on television. But then after the last conversation, I was like, oh, you're so like full of shit. And you're also trying to make it seem like she did something wrong when like, just say directly, I don't like you like that and I'm not feeling it. And not like she's being aggressive and this conversation went sideways so we can't be together.

00:54:01

It was so, it was so clear what he was doing. I do not like him at all. Yeah, Kenzie, like, at what point are we like just like being a slut? Like, yeah, when I saw that kiss, I was like, whore, slutty. Yeah, like slutty. Like, and also like, because that's your friend, and Jen has— I think Jen has actually become more friendly with everyone. Kenzie's like sort of on an island of her own. Jen is her only friend I don't think the girls like her, and now I'm starting to understand why. She can't have female friendships, she's too busy exploring all the time. Yeah, so she was like just with Jen. Yeah, and like you literally sold out your only friend in this house. And yeah, no one here is like scrupled at all. Like yeah, because Dylan should say fuck you and be done and go with Jen, go with literally anyone. Nobody does that. Like Melanie should say fuck you to Sincere. Like nobody does what they should do. It's so frustrating. And that's why I just want to say I know he's the devil, he's the villain of this show, but I do like the fact that Casey went to Casa Amor.

00:54:59

We knew he didn't like Anaya. Anaya knew he didn't like Anaya. He met someone and he brought her back. Like, at least he's— his actions match up with his words.

00:55:10

Yeah, but by the way, Casey, I don't find him to be the devil. I don't find him to be the villain of the show. I think Casey has done nothing wrong. Wrong.

00:55:17

No, he said no things wrong, and he's definitely immature. He does not— like, he did not let Anaya down in the most respectful way that he possibly could have. And I think that, like, Casey—

00:55:26

I'm sorry, it's literally Taylor and Clark and Alandra again and again. Like, Taylor, Casey, they left on kind of shitty terms when he went to Casa. The last few days of their relationship had not been fun. They weren't really, like, jiving. He met someone who he liked so much and he brought her back and like was ready to come and talk and whatever. And then all the girls are— what is he supposed to do other than stand there while they're all screaming at him? Start defending himself and say, I like her so much and I don't like you? No, you just stand there and you take it. And then when things calm down, we can have a conversation. It's just like all the hate. It's just sad that he did not like Anaya as much as she liked him. And it's like, I'll beat around the bush and try and make it seem like, you know, I have a stronger connection with her, but Like, at the end of the day, it's hard to hear, no matter how well it's said, I just don't like you enough to stay in a relationship with you. And like, that's not a crime.

00:56:20

I feel like— and everyone's like, it's not you being with her, it's the way you went about it. Way you went about— I guess he was a little too excited to be in Casa.

00:56:26

Okay, yeah, I mean, there's no good way to go about it, honestly. But I feel like so much of the hate that's being sent Casey's way, like, really should be reserved for Sincere, because he is hands down, without a doubt, like, the worst guy in this villa. And I am at the point where I'm starting to not feel bad for Melanie anymore. Like, How many times even she was like stern with him in their conversation and then confessional, she's like, well, let's see if he can change. Like, I feel like we know he actually can't, so it's like continuing to give him chances. Like, now I feel like— and this is what it's like— yes, all the guys are bad. Abs— they're all bad. Like, there's not a good guy. And the only good one, no one will talk to Caleb. Like, they're bad guys. But at what point is the personal accountability on the women to stop being dumb?

00:57:08

Yeah, no, stop making bad choices. Melanie's making me really sad. She's a completely different person from who she walked in as. I feel like she's been so beaten down. Every time they zoom in on her face, like, honestly, she looks nauseous. She looks sick. She looks like she's turning green, cuz she— like when Amora came out of the cake and like the blood drains from her face. Like, she has actually lost herself in the villa. And it's like, I didn't love her personality day one, but at least she was like bursting with life, confidence, energy, energy, everything. And now she's just like a shell of herself. It makes me so sad. And it's like, yeah, Sincere came back and chose you, but not after having an actual girlfriend in Casa.

00:57:45

I would rather be Anaya who didn't get chosen than Melanie who got chosen and is being lied to. Like, at least it's final. Like, that's what I mean about Casey. Maybe to go about it the right way, but he has been upfront. Yeah, uh, since you had this whole secret relationship and we wouldn't have even known about it if the girl didn't come back.

00:58:01

It's a funny tweet that was like, Sincere's the type to have two separate families. Yes, and love both of them.

00:58:08

Yeah, he is a bad guy. He's insufferable too.

00:58:13

Just like, he really thinks he's so righteous, and then every time he says sorry, he's like, you know, I gotta do better. Like, shut up. Like, just shut up. Shut up.

00:58:21

Just shut up. Bryce and Trinity closed off.

00:58:23

It's like, just if you want to be bad, go be bad and walk the walk and talk the talk and just be a piece of shit like you are. But stop. We also have to listen to you? We also have to listen to you think that you're like righteous or something?

00:58:34

Yeah, and Melanie like cannot see it.

00:58:38

I know, I, I actually really wanted it to be Corey because I feel like— of course, I feel like they had something good going. I mean, we didn't even talk about the fact that Anaya didn't choose Carl, like the biggest L.

00:58:50

That's what I mean, like everyone's sending back Carl, like literally why? Yeah, if I'm Carl, I'm mad.

00:58:56

Yeah, no, me too. They want like to see her have like a happy story, and I guess the other girls—

00:59:01

so do I— held out at some point.

00:59:03

No, but like like the other girls held out hope for, like, they were hoping for, you know, and wishing on a relationship that was like more real. Like Zach and Kato, like, were so like good before they left. Melanie and Sincere, Melanie and Sincere, like, he— she knows— well, that's the thing, she knows that even though he is like toxic and whatever, like, he's coming back to her.

00:59:24

That's the thing is that I think Anaya sat there and saw everyone come back. Bryce, Zach, sincere. So her going last, I think maybe she was on the fence, but like, oh, she's— oh, they obviously all sat around at Casa Amor and talked about how much they missed us. Like, I think she thought, emboldened by everyone else's choices—

00:59:41

yeah, and I think the fact that it happened for everyone else and didn't happen for her made it even more embarrassing. But I think also it's a little immature on her part to think that like this is a group exercise where it's like, no, we're judging each individual relationship. It's not like the guys and the girls, and if the guys all do it and the girls all do it, like like, no, are you and Casey good? You're not. Yeah.

01:00:03

Um, so Parmita and Corbin being the first couple to close off, like, didn't see that in my bingo card, but slay. And then we got Zach and Trinity, the winning couple. Trinity, the winning couple. Like, seriously, we can end the season.

01:00:14

We really can. They're both so great individually, so great together. They're so healthy and like evolved, and you know, they really grew something. They watered their plant. And I think their story has been really beautiful. I really don't know why Zach and Kaita can't get it together. Like, what? Like, Zach is—

01:00:31

I've been telling you, he is— he is like not what he seems. He is very red flag. Why haven't they closed off? They went to the Hideaway.

01:00:37

I know, and he was like, we're not boyfriend and girlfriend yet. Like, keep saying— he keeps like dangling, dangling it, saying I love you and then saying it was a joke. That's like the worst kind of guy.

01:00:46

I'm telling you, they— he is not— I know you like him because his brother is Charlie, but he is bad.

01:00:51

I can separate him from Charlie, and people like on Twitter will be like, Zach, you know, Zach definitely got a phone and Wi-Fi. He's getting special treatment being like a nepo sibling. Like, what do you mean? Charlie was on the show for one week. They don't give— the production doesn't give a fuck about Charlie enough. He had no impact enough to like give Zach preferential treatment.

01:01:10

Agreed. No, no, he's not being protected or anything because I feel like if you watch with a— he's just like less obvious. Like Sinister is like— sorry, there's this girl There's a girl on TikTok, she does Love Story— Love Story— she does Love Island recaps every day, and she's so funny, and she just calls him Sinister. So like, I like— I— as I— Sincere is so obvious in his like bad behavior.

01:01:37

Insane to have your name be Sincere and then act that way. Big mistake.

01:01:42

Yeah, I think it's definitely a lot of pressure to have a name like that, and I, I understand that, but you don't have to go Complete opposite. Opposite. You don't have to be such a bad guy. He is such a bad guy.

01:01:52

We should call him insincere.

01:01:55

I hate him.

01:01:56

Yeah, so Zach is—

01:01:59

he has really like red, huge red flags. Yeah, I mean, he's just better at hiding them.

01:02:02

Also, like, Kaida and Zach are like using Che as like a pawn to like work each other up. Like, yeah, oh, he was a big boy. Like, like, they've just used all these people. 13. They're 13 years old. It's so toxic. They use people, all of them as like a way to just like make each other jealous and further their relationship.

01:02:22

It's really gross. Agreed. Corbin and Parmida are my winners if she stays, right?

01:02:30

But like, I don't— I feel like for some reason like they're not gonna send her home. But so is it over? Like, is the sending home over then?

01:02:38

No, no. But I don't know why, because like Parmida is like so irrelevant. Like, I don't know. I don't know. And at what point is Zach gonna tell Kaida that Alana was sent home?

01:02:47

Well, I'm hoping that Amora or TT will, but also tonight's movie night.

01:02:52

But the thing is, I feel like production won't make it a thing because like it breaks the fourth wall. They can't say that she was sent home for X, Y, and Z. Like, they sort of need to ignore it.

01:03:01

No, but like she needs to know because he's also saying I could have brought her back. He said that.

01:03:05

No, that's a fucking crazy thing to say.

01:03:06

You couldn't have.

01:03:07

That's a lie. Unless production was like, are you gonna bring this girl back? And he said no, and they're like, okay, we're sending her home, like cutting their losses.

01:03:15

Agreed. I agree with that. Yeah, I agree with that. Okay, so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt even though he so fucking doesn't deserve it. So undeserving.

01:03:25

Let's dive into Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment where every Tuesday Jackie and I try to give back to our community and help out girls in need. Write to us, deartoasters@gmail.com, or head over to our website, thetoastpodcast.com, scroll down, there's a little submission box. Both methods are totally anonymous. We actually have an update today, a little brief one, a nice little happy ending. Ready? Hey, Jackson Turd, the place looks great.

01:03:43

It always does. Thanks, I need that.

01:03:45

Last summer I wrote in asking for advice about whether or not I was being ungrateful and disappointed that my husband got me an umbrella and a meat thermometer for my 29th birthday. Do you remember? Yeah. So our advice this year for her 30th birthday, she just gave him a list of things she wanted, a list of ideas, and he just surprised her with a diamond necklace. That's the power of the toast.

01:04:04

Love you, girl. I love that.

01:04:05

It's beautiful. And that's on— that's on speaking into existence the things that you want.

01:04:10

No, that's on being direct. Like, nobody's a mind reader. Yeah, if you want something, just ask for it. Doesn't mean you're gonna get it, but you have better chance.

01:04:20

Also, thank you for updating us because we just spread ourselves so thin helping people out and we never hear back from them. So love you, happy that worked out for you. Hey Swirlies, I'm looking for some sisterly advice as I do not have any sisters. My sister-in-law, so my husband's brother's wife, is a new hairstylist and she offered to come do my hair for free as I have a newborn at home and I obviously can't take a trip to the salon. She did a full head of blonde highlights and I thought that would be fine because I already have blonde hair and I would just need like a touch-up, and I was so wrong. My hair looks absolutely horrible, but my sister-in-law is so sensitive. I know she would be devastated if I told her I didn't like it or if I went to someone else to get it fixed. I look truly awful, but I have no idea on how to fix it without hurting her feelings. What do I do? Sincerely, a new mama feeling worse in her skin.

01:04:57

Go fix it. Well, it depends. Like, you're home with the baby, so like, does it matter at this current moment? Whenever you're like emerging, go and fix it. Like, I'm sorry, you don't have to have ugly hair to protect someone's feelings.

01:05:08

Yeah, it's actually really like lovely of you to be— the number one priority here is your sister-in-law's feelings. Like, I just want to say, great hairstylists are made from these moments, so you're actually helping her. And the fact that you would like knowingly walk around ugly just to save her feelings, you sound like an amazing person, but you also sound dumb. Get your hair fucking fixed. That's the number one priority. New mama feeling good.

01:05:23

Yeah, and just be like, you know what, at this stage in my life, I want to be actually a little darker than—

01:05:27

you can make some shit up. Like, oh Please, no, I think that we should be able— stylist, the thing is, is that first of all, you don't have to say anything. Maybe she'll just get the hint. You would never— I would never walk around with ugly hair.

01:05:40

But you would, you would fix it, but you would never say that person like, you did a bad job, I didn't like it.

01:05:44

I wouldn't say it like that. First of all, I would get it fixed and hope she didn't notice. That's just best case scenario. She wouldn't say— hopefully she doesn't notice, and if she does notice, hopefully she doesn't say anything, and then she could just sort of like take the hint like that it was bad. I'm sorry, What about these women's— this woman's future clients? Like, you have to help her. No, get your hair fixed. We'll figure out the issue later. We will figure out how to handle it later. Someone else can help her.

01:06:06

It doesn't have to be someone who has to have Thanksgiving with her every year for the rest of your life. Someone else can tell her she did a bad job.

01:06:12

Get your hair fixed and we'll figure everything else out later. I hate the idea that you're walking around with hair you hate. It's hard enough, like, to look in the mirror when you're postpartum.

01:06:18

I know, but like, your hair is probably like up in a bun. Like, it's okay, it's okay. It's not.

01:06:22

Get your hair fixed. No, get it fixed.

01:06:24

But like, it's, it's okay, it's okay.

01:06:25

We actually have like a lot of hair issues today. Ready? Hey queens, I found myself in a hairy situation. My mother-in-law has good intentions and she really loves my kids very dearly. Last week when she was in town, she took my daughter to do some errands. When she gets back, my daughter said, close your eyes, Mama, I have a surprise for you. When I opened my eyes, I saw a fucking bob with bangs on my 4-year-old daughter. She's never had her hair cut. This can't be real. Had long gorgeous blonde hair.

01:06:51

This can't be real. This is when they say dear toasters are made up.

01:06:54

I acted excited in the moment because she's beautiful no matter what, no matter how she looks. However, what the actual fuck? I texted my husband in a spiral. He says he'll take care of it when the kids are in bed. He brings it up and said she was taking something off my plate because I'm a working mom with two young kids, and apparently at one point I said I needed to trim my daughter's hair as she's in two weddings and the flower girl for the summer. She immediately started crying saying she thought I would like it and my daughter said she wanted bangs.

01:07:16

Yes, the 4-year-old gets to choose how she looks.

01:07:19

I just need to know how Turdy and Jax would have responded. I know it's just Tara and maybe I'm being stupid, but thanks, love you ladies. I'm sorry, you said, you said the daughter needed a trim. The daughter comes back with a slick back bob and bangs. This woman is not your friend.

01:07:32

And I'm so—

01:07:33

I like crying, being like, she needed a trim.

01:07:35

You didn't get her a fucking trim. I would like her—

01:07:38

the daughter said I wanted bangs. How stupid are you?

01:07:41

I would light her up and I would say you can see her again when her hair grows back out. Oh, that's what I was saying. You could take her again for the day when the hair grows back out. That's when— no, you're not—

01:07:50

that's when you're reacting.

01:07:51

That's when that privilege is resumed. You are underreacting. Oh, I would go crazy. This can't be real.

01:07:59

Um, yeah, you need to not let this go.

01:08:03

Yeah, no, I would— I would be raging.

01:08:06

And I just want to say, uh, your daughter probably looks so cute, like, big. Oh, adorable. Don't worry about it.

01:08:10

And hair— and hair grows out in But like, raging.

01:08:13

His hair grows so fast. Raging. Yeah, but this woman needs to go to the counselor.

01:08:18

Can't be trusted, she'll take her to get a tattoo next.

01:08:20

It's true. What are we gonna do, navel piercing? Can't be trusted.

01:08:25

A low-maintenance child.

01:08:27

You need to like seriously make this into such a big deal. 'Cause like these are the types of things when people think they can get away with them, they build and they, and next thing you know, Jackie's right, we're getting tramp stamps next summer.

01:08:36

Yeah, so you can, You can take her out again alone when her hair grows back, and in that time, think about what you did.

01:08:44

Yeah, she needs a stern talk.

01:08:46

A couple years before you get that privilege again.

01:08:49

And then our third and final Dear Toast is a little bit of a marital— marital spat, marital issue. Hey Swirls, my husband and I are high school sweethearts. In college, we were long distance, so we did our fair share of sexting. Fast forward to 10 years later, we're married with young kids. My husband still, at least once a week, wants to be in separate rooms and text like we did in college once the kids are asleep. I seriously hate it.

01:09:07

So once a week is a lot for like that. I agree.

01:09:11

And half the time I can't stay awake because I fall asleep while putting the kids to bed. I've tried to talk to him about it. Is this something I just need to give in to because it's something that means a lot to him? I literally would rather have sex with him every single night. I just hate the whole separate sexting thing. Am I crazy? Once a week is a lot.

01:09:28

That just, you know, it sneaks up on you, you know.

01:09:30

All of a sudden it was always Wednesday. No, literally once a week eventually starts to feel like every day. Yeah, the weeks fly by. And I want to say, while the novelty of this, like, at its core is really cute, um, once you start doing it so much, like, it's not cute anymore because, like, it was supposed to be this, like, special thing. So I would— and, like, I don't know, at its— at its core, it's also weird.

01:09:55

Like, so you know what, like, I mean, you could deal with the issue at hand, or you could set up like an AI chatbot that responds to him.

01:10:05

You can fall asleep, AI like, you know, respond, upload some previous messages so AI knows like how you particularly sex.

01:10:12

But I think he would also enjoy like a little bit of flair, you know, a little bit of difference. Um, and just let it run. Go to sleep.

01:10:22

I know this is probably the difference between men and women. But like, how can you— like, like, it's fake. She's in the other room. Do you know what I mean? Like, it's like the long distance, the pining. Yeah, but you're role-playing being apart when you're together. Like, that's insane. No, I'm sorry, that's a lot.

01:10:42

It's a lot. Like, and we have a lot going on as, as women and mothers, and like, now we're also pen pals and like the electricity bill.

01:10:51

Like, It's just—

01:10:53

no, listen, run, run Claude in the background.

01:10:57

Yeah, but also they should just be like, if this is his particular thing, that's fine. Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, like every week.

01:11:07

Yeah, that's like— yeah, that's what I mean. Like every week is not a special treat.

01:11:14

And it's like, how many times can you sext? Like how many different things can you say?

01:11:19

Well, I think that's why you gotta get AI in there. Right. Spice it up. And that's definitely what Sam would have been. Then he's gonna want it every night. He's gonna want it every night. He's gonna be like, you're so good at it.

01:11:28

Right, and then think of the environmental impacts.

01:11:32

Think of the polar bears. They'll understand. You're a woman doing what a woman has to do.

01:11:38

It's what the polar bears would have wanted. So what, their home melted? This guy got a sext. I got a sext!

01:11:46

He got his rocks off.

01:11:49

And the polar bear doesn't have any more rocks.

01:11:51

That's beautiful.

01:11:53
