Good morning, girlies! It's The Toast. It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast 5 things you need to know.

00:00:18

We'll start your day off swirly. It's The Toast.

00:00:23

I sound amazing.

00:00:25

Welcome back to The Toast and happy Wednesday! Today is the epitome of goodness and I'm so excited to emerge myself in this experience with my sister, co-host, and friend whose voice seems to return. It's Jacqueline Follet.

00:00:37

Are you excited to go on a Cojourner Fred with me?

00:00:40

I mean, it's the epitome of joy, so why wouldn't I?

00:00:44

I don't know why you wouldn't. My voice is much better than it was yesterday, but I do still think it's a dream day for you because I do have to keep it to a minimum. You know, I can't just be—

00:00:53

we wouldn't want you to overextend—

00:00:55

long-winded. So I am going to tell stories. I am going to do the stories because I know that also took away from your dream day.

00:01:03

Definitely. Like, manual labor on my dream day? That's not a dream.

00:01:07

So maybe today will be more of a dream for you.

00:01:10

I am feeling like I'm in a dreamlike state.

00:01:12

A dreamlike sequence.

00:01:14

Yes, I love the word sequence.

00:01:16

Well, we're both—

00:01:16

I feel like I've been using the word sequence a lot, um, ever since like I started playing Mahjong so consistently.

00:01:22

I haven't Mahjong in weeks.

00:01:25

Oh girl, me and my daytime crew, we do not fuck around. Actually though, me and my daytime crew, you know, if somebody needs to bop out, like we have a couple of alternates and my daytime crew—

00:01:33

how do they feel about being alternates? Well, so, and being called alternates on a, on a very popular podcast.

00:01:40

They're grateful for the experience, if I'm being honest. My daytime crew, it's kind of like a random assembling of 4 people who like, you know, have flexible jobs, came together, work, some are on maternity leave, came together against all odds.

00:01:51

Yes.

00:01:52

Yeah. So no one wanted to play. And then we started becoming like so popular. We have lunch and we, you know, everyone's kind of jealous of what goes on that like, oh, I'll play. And it's like, well, where were you when we were putting the group together? So I think the alternates that we do have are extremely grateful to even be alternates. Like that's how in demand that we are, if I'm being honest. Um, but today we're actually taking Maja off. I said you could sub in one of the alternates for me. I can't, Maja. I have my EMG, my long awaited, this is like a 5 years in the process. I'm finally getting my nerve test on my thumb and I'm hoping We will finally find out why my thumb stopped working.

00:02:24

I'm excited. That's very exciting. Exciting, exciting. Information excites me. I know.

00:02:32

I fear that the EMG will tell me like that I have a tendon issue and I have to get surgery. And it's like, am I really for the first time in my whole life gonna get surgery because of my hand? Like my thumb?

00:02:41

No, I feel like thumbs are important.

00:02:42

I feel like you wait for it to get worse and then, oh, you think? But what if it becomes irreparable? And how much longer? I've literally waited almost 3 years. Like I haven't had a thumb for 3 years and I've been talking about it and like nobody seems to care. They're like, you're fine, you have 9 other fingers.

00:02:54

I mean, we all have our struggles. Like, my pinky toe is really going into my fourth toe. It really hurts. And like, I— it used to only happen like when you wear shoes. Yeah, it used to only happen if I hadn't gotten a pedicure in a while, my nails were too long. So I was like, up, time to get a pedicure.

00:03:15

So you're saying the nail is going into the skin of your fourth toe, or the whole toe now?

00:03:19

Like, the, the toe. And, and there's not a lot of— I keep my toenails clipped. I got a pedicure and still the next day. And then I have shoes where it hurts more than others, but, but it's becoming an everyday issue in my life, and I'm just gonna keep walking the path.

00:03:33

Well, that's how I feel about my coccydynia. Like, it's just something I have to live with.

00:03:38

I mean, my sciatica— you, you are— when you're with me and you see me get out of a chair and you think that's something—

00:03:44

that's a face she makes—

00:03:45

you— I like can't get up, and you think like, oh my gosh, is it flaring up? Like, no, this is just my life now.

00:03:51

So I get that there are definitely ailments as women of a certain age like we just live with, but I think if I have the opportunity to fix my thumb, that's something like later me will say thanks for doing. I'm hoping I can find— I might get into like some Eastern medicine alternative treatments before I go for the surge.

00:04:06

I think that's good. Also talk to chat.

00:04:09

I was chatting hardcore with chat.

00:04:11

You can't like tell chat— chat can't tell you what to do until you have your diagnosis from EMG.

00:04:15

So chat is really— because chat told me like 1,000% I will upload them. But then I was also talking to chat last night because I told you I told you that like a week and a half ago while putting on pants, I sprained my ankle. And it's like, how long does an ankle get sprained for?

00:04:29

Like, I've got tingling.

00:04:31

A long time. Oh my God. Every time I like twist my ankle a certain way, I'm like blinded with pain. And so chat was, and then I was wondering, do you think that any of these issues are connected? 'Cause I told you I also threw out my neck. So I have a bad neck, a bad foot, and a bad thumb. And I was like, it's all on the left side of my body. So I was like, chat, are any of these connected? It actually feels like my body is breaking down. And chat was like, Well, no, I don't think that any of them are connected. So that made me feel better.

00:04:58

That is better. It's not a larger issue in the cojers wojers left side of business.

00:05:02

I guess we'll find out after the EMG.

00:05:07

Okay, stay tuned, watch this space. Are the results immediate, or like they have to be—

00:05:13

I have no idea—

00:05:14

like studied and an appointment for them to share them with you?

00:05:18

Oh, bitch, like the way medical professionals refuse to give you your own fucking information, they better FedEx me the results ASAP.

00:05:26

Don't get me started on the healthcare system.

00:05:29

I won't, actually. That's so not what I want to talk about. What I do want to talk about is what's going down today.

00:05:33

It's broken.

00:05:35

Absolutely. What I want to talk about is what's going down today. We have Love Island Casa Amor episode 3 recap. We have Taylor Swift, of course, like showing her face. Lots to discuss there. We've got two Positively Swirly girls. I have decided, made another, um, sort of administrative decision. Dear Toasters will be tomorrow. And I think for until Love Island is over, programming update, Dear Toasters will be moved to Thursdays because we have a TV recap every single day except Thursday because there's no episodes on Wednesdays. So we'll see you guys Thursday, DTQ. Um, sorry, please just, please just be cool with it.

00:06:09

Yeah, no, it is what it is. Plus without my voice, like, we have to conserve our—

00:06:14

without your voice, how can you give a stern talking to to the DTQ?

00:06:18

It's so true, it's so true. And I, and I— you guys deserve my best. Absolutely. So also, Dear Toasters are about to be fed on Patreon this month. I don't want to—

00:06:27

yeah, we're recording a great episode.

00:06:29

I don't want to spoil what we're doing, but it's in the Dear Toasters family. It's actually—

00:06:32

I feel like you could spoil it. Like, it's called Building Hype.

00:06:35

Okay, but we're recording it tomorrow, so like, I— we are doing a Dear Toasters where we go through submissions from early days of Toast, like 2019. We give our takes now on what they would be, and then we will live listen to what we said then and see how different we are, if we agree with what we said then, It's going to be so different because like, I know back then we were toxic wives and now we're toxic moms.

00:06:56

Like, we are the, the mother-in-laws that people are writing in about.

00:07:00

No, and just like, life wises you up. Like, I'm still thinking about our Dear Toasters from last week where that girl said her husband was gay and we were like, stay with him. Of course, that's the kind of advice you can only find here at The Toast, cuz you know every other show, oh, he cheated on you, he's gay, dump him.

00:07:17

No, and then it's like, you deserve— it's like, yeah, all those things are true, but like, let's do a practical application of policy here. Okay, so leave him. You're also then leaving half your custody of your kids to this guy. Like, we're very realistic, and I know some people don't like our advice, but like, sorry, this is what your great-grandmother would tell you. And I feel like we should always be listening to our elders. We are the church elders, you know.

00:07:38

And of course, like, if we got that Dear Toasters like years ago before we had kids, we'd be like, what do you mean your husband's cheating on you and he's gay?

00:07:44

Like, goodbye, double homicide. It's not so Simple. Nothing is simple. And that's what Dear Toasters is all about, exploring the complexities of humanity. And that's what we will be doing both on Thursday and on Thursday's Patreon episode. So make sure to head over to patreon.com/the-toast, which if you're new here is our subscription. So if you go to patreon.com/the-toast, you can join our premium tier, which is $7.99. That's the OG price, it's never been raised. $7.99 for 5 extra episodes per month. Those episodes range from podcasts to vlogs to videos. I just did a big hair tutorial. We do lots of Q&As, we do more in-depth stuff, we get all the ancillary supplemental characters like Olivia Trout, Margot, they all come on there. All of our birth stories are on there. Um, it's a great way to get extra content for like when you're bored and also support The Toast for the price of a coffee. Actually, I don't even think coffee costs $7.99 these days. Nothing does except Patreon.

00:08:32

The price of a boot is staggering.

00:08:34

The price of a boot is fucking staggering.

00:08:37

Yeah, I was actually just at dinner with like a newish friend, and so we were just like swapping life stories, and, and we were talking about The Toast, and like she wanted to hear like the whole story.

00:08:47

That sounds like such a fun dinner. I love when people ask about me.

00:08:50

Yeah, no, so I was telling her like the whole story. She was like, how did you even start the show? So I started like, you know, with the breath and everything, and I was talking about how we started the toast, and I was saying how like Patreon was just like the biggest— like it just changed our lives. And like, it really did. We love the Patreon. We share also this show, we talk a lot about our personal lives, but we also talk about celebrities. But like when there's more to talk about our personal lives, like we do that on the Patreon. It's just very personal to us and we love it, and we love the community. I was just reminded in telling the story, like how much I love the Patreon community.

00:09:20

Patreon was there for us when no one else was.

00:09:22

No one else was.

00:09:24

It was the first time we ever were able to monetize our show, which was very exciting. And I feel like a lot of the big streamers are like trying to infringe on Patreon. They're all launching their own subscriptions. Like, we are so motherfucking loyal to Patreon. We will never leave.

00:09:35

Never leave Patreon.

00:09:37

We will be the last ones on the Titanic.

00:09:39

And also, if you've never heard of Patreon, you're probably like, oh, I don't know how to use that.

00:09:42

Like what?

00:09:43

It's just a website. You could download the app if you want, but just go to patreon.com/thetoast. You make a login and then all the content is there. So if you've never heard of Patreon, it's not like this newfound thing that it's inaccessible.

00:09:54

It's just go to the website and then you get access to all the old stuff. So I think now there's probably like over 400 episodes.

00:09:59

Yeah, we've been doing 5 episodes a month for almost 9 years. Do the math.

00:10:03

5 times 12, 60. 60 times 9, 540.

00:10:08

What is 9 times 6? There's a 5.

00:10:10

That's what I was thinking, right?

00:10:11

54. Okay, there's a 5. 500 episodes.

00:10:13

That's the first time, like, probably since 6th grade that, like, my times tables have come in handy.

00:10:17

Oh, I— you know what I was doing yesterday? Percentages. Remember how you used to, like, blank over blank equals x over 100? Remember that? X over 100, blank over ratios. Ratios. I needed to find out the ratio, and so in my mind I'm like, blank over blank, and then you take you Divide 100 by the top number.

00:10:37

Yep. And then divide across. Yep.

00:10:39

You know what, I actually— 26% from math.

00:10:43

Like, the practical application of policy, things I actually use in my everyday life, I do the ratios a lot. I'm always trying to figure out like percentages.

00:10:50

Yeah, no, that's what I— I needed a pen and paper, but I was able to do it in my head.

00:10:54

Something I never used—

00:10:55

my last brain cell was hanging on—

00:10:57

that I probably couldn't even tell you, like, I could not probably do it right now, was like long division. Remember, it was like under—

00:11:04

no, no, I know, I know, square.

00:11:06

Yeah, no, I haven't done that in a while, and I have no idea how to.

00:11:09

But like, the calculator app on my phone can't do that ratio for me in the way that Cross—

00:11:16

no, but in the past I've just been like to Google.

00:11:20

But like, your calculator app can do long division. That's why you haven't done long division, right? But like they don't know how to see it like I see it. Yeah, my ratios.

00:11:33

And ratio like means something so different these days.

00:11:36

It does, but it stems from the same thing.

00:11:40

Correct.

00:11:41

So you, you do still use those tools?

00:11:45

Yeah. Um, what else can I tell you? Oh, so like Ben went to a James Taylor concert last night, you know.

00:11:52

He called me from the concert and then was talking. He did. We were working on something and, um, what the fuck are you working on? Well, we're working on a lot of things, but yesterday specifically we were working on my car.

00:12:06

Oh, oh, oh, oh yeah.

00:12:07

And he's talking to me and he knows I didn't have a voice cuz I spoke to him earlier in the day and I'm like at a whisper.

00:12:13

Yeah.

00:12:14

And he was like, I'm at the James Taylor concert, I can't hear you. I'm like, you called the girl with no voice from the James Taylor concert?

00:12:19

And he's been like pestering me to go with him. Ben and his family are obsessed with James Taylor and like Yeah, I know a couple of the hits, but like, I really don't need to go to the concert. It's like, what, we have to get a babysitter? Like, I'll stay home, you guys go have fun. And Ben has just been like bothering me about coming. I think he also like got me a ticket just being like, in case you want to come. He really thought I would come, like, and I just didn't. Like, I was not— you know when you're just not going to something? I'm like, I'm sorry, I'm not fucking going. Happy birthday, Bruce. Sorry, I'm not going. Like, it wasn't even his birthday, it was like 3 days ago.

00:12:45

This is his 50th birthday.

00:12:48

It was— I saw videos, like, no shade to James Taylor, because like I think he's got a really powerful fan base. No shade, no tea. No tea, no shade. It just looked like a little, like, lackluster. And I love him, but Ben was like, he barely played the hits. And I just, like, I was so happy with my decision. Like, yeah, I was really, really happy.

00:13:08

But even James Taylor at his best—

00:13:12

I've seen fire and I've seen rain, I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end.

00:13:19

I don't really know who James Taylor is.

00:13:22

Okay, but you know a couple of songs, right? You know songs? Winter's Thongs. Winter, spring, summer, fall.

00:13:31

I don't know. All you've got to do is call.

00:13:35

In my mind I've gone to Carolina. Do you know that one?

00:13:40

No.

00:13:40

Less popular. Do you know Fire and Rain? Sing it. I've seen fire and I've seen rain. I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end. I've seen lonely time. By the way, you have. I've seen Only times when I could not find a friend. Do you remember that turnt movie we used to watch as kids called Camp, where it was like all these turnt hormonal teenagers at a drama camp?

00:14:03

Yeah.

00:14:04

And that's like sort of the penultimate song, like—

00:14:06

Got it, got it. Well, you know what, I— some of these songs I don't know, but like, they really sound lovely. Um, he sounds like a talented guy.

00:14:13

Absolutely talented.

00:14:15

So, um, cool. Famous for a reason.

00:14:19

Oh yeah, things he did that—

00:14:22

yeah. Oh, that's funny.

00:14:24

Yeah, just felt really good about like being home in bed at a reasonable hour watching Love Island. Like, it was really good. Yeah, the crazy thing is that when Love Island started, which you guys know I watch it at 8:35 because that's when it secretly goes on Peacock, um, it was still light out. It's so crazy, like, not it being light out during Love Island.

00:14:41

No, I know. I have to say, one good thing that's come out of Love Island it forced us to get the kids sleeping in their own beds at a reasonable hour, starting in their own beds, because they used to like start in my bed. But like, if I have to watch Love Island, then like Zach has to put them in bed, and so he puts them in, in their beds.

00:15:00

And you certainly cannot watch it with them.

00:15:02

Oh my God, I would, I would literally never. I just wouldn't watch it. But like, so then those early days, like, I was like, I couldn't be in the bed with them, so like Zach put them to bed and he like really tried to put them in their own beds, and then they got into like a decent rhythm so I could put them in their own beds. Like, now they start in their own beds, and I watch Love Island. So like, I, I have to say thank you to Love Island.

00:15:23

Do they stay in their own beds?

00:15:24

No, no, no, they start in their own beds, then they're welcome to come in at any point in the night.

00:15:29

Of course. Yeah, of course.

00:15:30

And that's like—

00:15:31

well, thank you to Love Island.

00:15:32

Thank you. That's what they intended for the sleep training.

00:15:36

Well, let's dive in because we have a lot to talk about, including Love Island USA recap.

00:15:41

They only do this major sale like twice a year, so this is the time to shop. If you've had your eye on one of their active dresses, perhaps a skort, the biker short bra set, or you just need a refresh on a summer wardrobe, now is definitely time to pull the trigger. So we all know summer dressing sounds easy in theory. Next thing you know, you're just like sweating, crying, screaming, throwing up, staring at your closet. And that's where ROBAC comes in.

00:17:37

Because we've been wearing so many of their essentials lately. Their skorts are such a summer staple. They have a very flattering waistband, a very lightweight and comfortable fabric that snatches you in but still is not compressive. They come in the prettiest colors. What I like most about Rowback, especially like their leggings, their biker shorts, is that the material's like very soft and smooth and light. But you're like, I find sometimes when I'm wearing biker shorts like and leggings, like from the back you could see my cellulite. So I still need them to be like thick enough to cover that while also, you know, being lightweight. And that's where Rowback I think is so great. If you're doing any of like the golf, tennis, pickleball, country club vibe this summer, You need some of their active dresses. You need the skorts. You can dress them up, you can dress them down. They're very easy. And who doesn't love a sale? It's finally time to check out Rohback after hearing us talk about it every single week. If you have Rohback and you want to stock up, or you haven't been able to try it yet, check it out now and use our code TOAST on rohback.com for 20% off your first order through the end of this week.

00:18:27

That's Rohback, R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com. The code is TOAST, T-O-A-S-T, for 20% off your first order through the end of this week. Today's episode is also brought to you by Salt and Stone. So the viral deodorant that you've probably heard and seen everyone posting about will really replace your perfume and you will not stop getting compliments about it. So Salt and Stone is a fragrance company. They make lots of body washes, deodorants that are super viral. They smell so good, like seriously, like a hotel lobby. Um, and the discovery sets are gonna have all 4 scents, which are Santal and Vetiver, Bergamot and Hinoki, Saffron and Cedar, and then Neroli and Basil. The deodorant is award-winning. It's viral for a reason. It's of course aluminum-free. But it's formulated for 48-hour protection. It is so popular today, they actually sell one deodorant every 5 seconds. And each product is a careful blend of antioxidant and nutrient-rich ingredients. Love the deodorant. Also love the body wash. I think Jackie and I talk a lot about how, like, we always want to have signature scents, but I, like, can't wear perfume. First of all, it doesn't stay on me, and then it always ends up giving me a headache.

00:19:24

So I feel like deodorant and body wash is such a great way to create a signature scent. And the smells from Salt and Stone are so rich and elevated. It really smells like a hotel a lobby, a 5-star resort. It's great for a guest bathroom. Um, everyone swears by it. The mist— they have such great products, but I really love the deodorant, especially if you're looking for an aluminum-free deodorant. This is a great option because they make scents unlike any other. Try this Salt Stone Discovery Set to find your signature scent. Go to saltandstone.com/toast. Use code TOAST at checkout for 15% off your first order. That's saltandstone.com/toast. Our code is TOAST. T-O-A-S-T. That will get you 15% off your first order. Highly recommend. You'll be able to check out all 4 scents and then find your signature and just be like the smelliest, most amazing, pariest girl this summer. Thanks. I meant smelly in a positive way.

00:20:11

Thanks, Turtle Lou.

00:20:12

My pleasure.

00:20:13

Our first story: Taylor Swift closes out fiancé Travis Kelce's Tight Ends University with a concert and surprise performance with Lainey Wilson. So Taylor Swift performed at TEU last night for her mans and George Kittle. She got on stage and sang Love Story with Lainey Wilson.

00:20:32

It's so funny because like this is the second year in a row where like TEU is the biggest event everyone's talking— what the hell is it? Like, I don't know, is it an organization? Is it a community event? Like, I have no idea what the university actually does. Is it a training program?

00:20:46

Like, what are they teaching? Yeah, and is it like physical things? Like, is it training, you know, getting on the field doing tight end exercises, or is it sitting in the classroom and learning? Is it networking for other tight ends?

00:20:57

I feel like it was started by 3 tight ends, so they call it Tight End University. But I'm, and I'm just guessing here, I've done no research and I, you know what, I don't even wanna know. I think that the 3 tight ends got together and started like almost like a community outreach program for like youth in sports. I feel like it's like a camp. I really don't know.

00:21:13

You think there's youth involved? I didn't think that there's youth involved.

00:21:15

Yeah. Oh, you don't think it's for the youth?

00:21:17

No, I thought it was for like a high level tight ends to come together.

00:21:22

Oh, you think it's like a, like a sorority, like a fraternity within the NFL?

00:21:26

Yes. Like, Oh, a community of tight ends.

00:21:30

I think I like my idea better, but I think you're right.

00:21:32

Yours is like, you think it's like aspiring tight ends.

00:21:35

Like, I feel like athletes, when they get to a certain level, they're always like giving back to the community.

00:21:39

Girls Club?

00:21:40

No, or like best buddies. Yeah, is this not that?

00:21:46

Okay, I think this is like, you know, like a fraternity, like the YPO of tight ends.

00:21:53

It's like, um Uh, BBYO.

00:21:56

No, no, I think you mean YPO.

00:21:59

No, BBYO, like the Jewish program for Jewish youth.

00:22:02

Yeah, but again, with the fucking youth.

00:22:05

Yeah, sorry, I care about the youth. I believe the children are our future. Sorry, Travis Kelce fucking does it.

00:22:09

Okay, no, he doesn't. George Kittle certainly doesn't.

00:22:12

Okay, I have to tell you, I'm like, I'm obsessed with George Kittle for two reasons. One, I saw an interview, Entertainment Tonight. I'm sure that they were prepped because Taylor was there. It's technically the week before the wedding, and they obviously got permission to say like one or two things, but I don't know. I don't believe Claire and George have any formal media training, but it was literally an exercise in perfection, like how to answer questions while saying nothing but giving a little bit. So they said, yes, we got invited. I'm sure they were allowed to say that. And it's pretty obvious we have no idea when it is. And I think that Taylor and Travis have like decided to confirm that it's next week, either because it is or maybe it isn't, or maybe it isn't.

00:22:48

But here what we know is that the guests who were invited don't know where it is.

00:22:52

They're told a day to be ready, and I think they were told a city to maybe be in a certain city, which is Manhattan, but no one has shared that, confirmed that.

00:23:00

Based on what George Kittle said yesterday, it's that people are invited, they don't know where it is.

00:23:06

George said he thinks like he— that there's just gonna be a huge jet waiting to take everyone somewhere.

00:23:11

Yeah, he was just like saying shit, you know, he's wearing a blue suit. He really like diverted the question and was respectful even though like The, like, people need to stop asking people. I know, it's so scared. People are so scared.

00:23:24

Yeah, I know.

00:23:26

Um, and you can see, like, Claire did not say anything because she was not—

00:23:29

she was letting George lead. Yeah, because, like, if George says it, like, he's like, ah, George, he's so crazy, right? I love the name George.

00:23:36

George is a great name.

00:23:38

It's a great name. It doesn't, like, go with the vibe I've started, like, Ruby.

00:23:41

It goes with mine.

00:23:42

Yeah, it does. My vibe is very much, like, elder Jewish, like immigrant, um, which I love. Like, I want my children to all be found at like Second Avenue Deli, like, you know.

00:23:52

Yeah.

00:23:53

Um, but I, I can respect, like, the name George is so Pargey. Actually, a friend of mine has a nephew named George. Whenever she's like, oh, George came over, I'm like, okay, like, I love that.

00:24:01

Very curious.

00:24:02

Yeah, and so cutesy.

00:24:04

Um, very cute. It does. The other thing, but it's not a long and a short. Now I'm in long and short.

00:24:09

I want to talk just very stuck.

00:24:11

Long and short.

00:24:11

I have one negative thing to say about George Kittle. Because Taylor performed, um, and she like literally said George requested a song, and it was like, Taylor Swift has never taken requests. Like, it's not a karaoke bar. And like, you request Love Story, literally the song she's sang 7 million times publicly, personally, concerts, private events. Like, seriously, like, if you were a real fan, you could have literally requested any other fucking song. No, not even Peace.

00:24:39

Obviously I was gonna say to you I know you would request Peace. What do you think George Kittle should have requested?

00:24:45

Okay, like something that's still popular that he would know, like Sparks Fly. Sparks Fly, that's like a well-known song.

00:24:54

No, I think—

00:24:54

no, he would have chosen something from 1989. I would love to hear like a 1989 bonus track, like, okay, but he would not have chosen George Kittle. I'm talking about myself. George Kittle with like Blank Space style, like literally anything would be fine.

00:25:05

I'm happier to hear Love Story over those two. You have to think, like, it would have been nice to hear maybe Out of the Woods. I don't know if he's an Out of the Woods guy, but that would be great.

00:25:14

Oh, but I guess like she's getting married this week, so Love Story's—

00:25:18

and you know what, I think Love Story goes platinum in the locker rooms. Like, Travis loves it, George loves it, the players love Love Story.

00:25:26

But just imagine, like, you are a chosen person. Like, you get to request a song from Taylor. Okay, but am I like— is it a solo concert? Am I like raging?

00:25:36

You're in George Kittle's position. Taylor is performing for girly swirly universe City because I have a close relationship with Travis.

00:25:44

I have to give like 5 answers, okay? And let me just look at her whole catalog just to make sure I'm not missing anything. But I definitely think State of Grace. Like, if she started playing, I— okay, that's one.

00:26:03

I know mine, honestly.

00:26:07

King of My Heart. And I want to say a lot of my favorite songs are from like TTPD, Folklore, Evermore, but I wouldn't choose them for this. I just want to say, I—

00:26:16

this is the hack— I would do All Too Well 10-minute version.

00:26:20

That's so good.

00:26:21

Make her work for it. And also like at Eras Tour, that song went the hardest.

00:26:28

It's true. Actually, what I think went the hardest was, um, for me Fearless.

00:26:33

The song Fearless? Yeah, that's so interesting.

00:26:36

When she was with the guitar and she opens up and she did the hard hands, like, that really went— actually, surprisingly, what also went really hard for me was The Archer. That was like something that really got—

00:26:44

I love The Archer.

00:26:46

Yeah. Um, so yeah, let me just go album by album. Here's what I would choose, like, deadass, from Fearless.

00:26:51

Ready? And then you have to pick one, cojourner.

00:26:55

Oh, really? Forever Always would be so good, but it's not like It's not like boppy enough, you know?

00:27:00

Mm-hmm.

00:27:01

And it rains in you. Actually, no, it would be good.

00:27:04

You know what? I think I'd have to choose You Belong With Me.

00:27:06

I know.

00:27:06

You Belong With Me is like the climb of Taylor Swift songs for me.

00:27:10

It's true.

00:27:10

It changed my life. It state—

00:27:13

okay, so from, yeah, then from Red, I would definitely do State of Grace.

00:27:17

You belong with me. Yeah, it's You Belong With Me. Sorry.

00:27:22

Um, I might also do Holy Ground, but that's definitely not gonna be like my main choice, you know? Yeah, Speak Now, lots of good options. Sparks Fly, Sparks Fly, The Story of Us. I would choose— that's my number one. I would choose The Story of Us. Like, she literally has never sang it, and it's such a bop. What about Long Live? Oh, of course, of course. But we're like at a concert, we're trying to get— it's a football thing, we're trying to get people like amped.

00:27:50

You get one.

00:27:52

Wildest Dreams is amped.

00:27:53

Long Live is amped. Wow, there's streams.

00:27:59

This is so hard. I really don't have an answer for you, but I can tell you it's not going to be from The Life of a Showgirl.

00:28:05

Yeah, for me it's You Belong With Me. So I do feel like Love Story and You Belong With Me are like of the same vein. I understand why that's what he chose.

00:28:14

But just like, imagine if she came out and like sang Marjorie. Like, imagine if the person she was taking requests from was like a die-hard fan whose favorite song was like White Horse, you know?

00:28:23

Right. But I think the diehard fan would make her sing Peace because she refuses.

00:28:28

Well, then that would just be like harmful to Taylor, and I don't think Taylor will ever sing Peace ever again because it's, it's literally the definition of why her and Joe Alwyn broke up.

00:28:36

Yeah.

00:28:37

Yeah.

00:28:39

Well, that was cute.

00:28:41

Yeah.

00:28:41

And Lainey Wilson.

00:28:43

Oh yeah, I want to talk about Lainey Wilson.

00:28:44

Lainey Wilson is a friend to all. Yeah.

00:28:47

And I feel as though she has like very low-key swirlitude. It's not obvious, But she does, you know, she was in the Hannah Montana special. She's out here performing Taylor Swift. Like, she doesn't look swirly. She looks like very, you know, controlled.

00:28:59

Cooler than you.

00:29:01

Yeah, but I think she's got that swirlitude.

00:29:03

I know, like, at this rate she might be a toaster. Yeah, she just has like, you know, I don't want to say basic, but like common girl interests.

00:29:15

Yeah, and she just doesn't look like she would, you know.

00:29:17

No, she doesn't. In.

00:29:19

And also, do you feel like being tapped to perform at this event like kind of sucks because everyone's just like, oh, it's Lady Wilson, is Taylor coming? Like they're just sort of waiting for Taylor the whole time. She did it last year.

00:29:30

No, I, I don't think so.

00:29:32

Okay.

00:29:32

I didn't get that feeling.

00:29:34

Okay.

00:29:34

It seemed like a warm and loving environment.

00:29:36

Okay. At the TEU.

00:29:38

Our next story, Kylie Jenner is the new face of Meta glasses.

00:29:44

Um, there were a lot of people posting Meta glasses.

00:29:46

This Kylie was the biggest one.

00:29:49

Are you having déjà vu? Didn't everybody make glasses like 10 years— Snap, they all made glasses like 5, 10 years ago, and like it was cool and novel, but like they didn't really, um, as Cynthia would say, emerge into the culture. Like nobody wore them in a serious way.

00:30:03

Want glasses like this? They don't want like camera wearable techie glasses. Google Glass, George Glass.

00:30:11

George Glass, Google Glass, Snap Glass. Another example is coming— Snap— Snapchat's coming out with another one. I want Snapple glasses. Like, what's with the glasses? People need to let the mouse go. People don't want glasses like with tech in them.

00:30:25

I just want to see. I need to know how much Kylie was paid for this. I think she was paid $1 billion because it's such a good move by Meta. She's the coolest person in the world. If anybody can make glasses school, like, it would be her. Her voice is in the glasses. They greet you with like, "Rise and shine." And like, if you— oh, do they? Yeah, if you ask for the weather, it's like her telling you the weather for the day. Like, it's her voice in the glasses.

00:30:47

So like, so it's not just like an ad.

00:30:49

They literally said like, who's the coolest person on Earth that can make these glasses cool? And then like, I think they would have paid her $100 million because—

00:30:55

and they're gonna use her likeness and her voice, which is like a huge thing in AI, people getting paid for their voice.

00:31:00

I don't even think $100 million is enough. And like, for me, I don't want to use the term sell out because I get your bag.

00:31:06

No, and I love selling out.

00:31:07

Like, I want to say I sell out all the time, and I say it actually in a good way and in a prideful way. Like, but I believe that she sold out for this opportunity. Yay!

00:31:18

Yeah, only because like glasses are just not it. They've been trying for like decades to make tech glasses a thing, and sometimes you— I mean, of course you could never, you know, predict what's going to take off, what people are going to love. But we tried this once. Everyone did. Why are we doing it again?

00:31:34

And also, like, what makes this different? Oh my God. What made you want to partner with— this interview with Elle— what made you want to partner with Meta? I don't know, the paycheck.

00:31:43

But she's—

00:31:44

yeah, obviously glasses have always been my thing. Come again?

00:31:49

Literally since when?

00:31:50

Actually, I wear sunglasses a lot as well, but I like—

00:31:54

by the way, sunglasses are everyone's thing. That's like not a thing to have as a thing.

00:31:58

No, it's not. But actually some people like are more sunglasses than others, you know? Like some people just like raw dog it outside.

00:32:06

Yeah. I don't feel like I've ever really seen Kylie with that many sunglasses, if I'm being honest.

00:32:10

I can't even get a package outside my door without putting on sunglasses. I agree.

00:32:14

I feel it's definitely damaging my eyes. 'Cause whenever I walk outside without glasses, I'm like, ah, like a crypt keeper.

00:32:19

Like, I know. I actually like go through like small bits of trying to strengthen my eyes.

00:32:25

Yes. I'm trying to like, like create some sort of immunity.

00:32:29

The key is— and actually Shannon and I talked about this a few years ago and it stuck with me— like, you have to like not wear sunglasses like early in the morning and later in the day to adjust. Like, at high time you can, but, um, yeah, I'm always trying to like wean from sunglasses.

00:32:47

Yeah. Um, back to Kylie's most moronic statement that she just made.

00:32:52

There was more, there was more. Hold on. Glasses have always been my thing. They're the first thing I notice on someone, honestly. So when Meta came to me and said I could actually design a pair, not just show up for a campaign, I was like, wait, this is different. I got to be involved in everything— the shape, the colors, the packaging, even the little chime sound it makes when you put them on.

00:33:10

It's just crazy. This is how you know a product is bad, because I'm like very influenced by Kylie, and I do not have one iota of like desire to purchase. How much are they?

00:33:20

Oh, I don't know. I just like— I can't take this on right now, okay? Like, I'm happy with my phone, and I just got— I got one of those. By the way, I want to say I'm not even happy with my phone.

00:33:27

Like, I'm I'm too addicted to it.

00:33:30

I'm like actively trying to stop. It's more than enough. It's more than enough. I just got like one of those Camp Snap cameras.

00:33:36

The best.

00:33:36

So like I'm covered. I, I don't feel like I need to be capturing more of my life than I already am. Like I feel sufficiently captured.

00:33:44

Yeah.

00:33:44

I feel sufficiently like close with technology, you know? Like I don't need it on my face. Also, if AirPods are bad for you, I can't imagine what this is.

00:33:54

So true. Think of the radiation.

00:33:56

So I, I support and love her, and I think, you know, of course this, this is great money. And, you know, if the Knicks keep winning every season, like, her and Timothy are gonna need to go to like a lot of expensive games.

00:34:10

And the Jets get the tickets for free, the Jets and everything.

00:34:12

I could add the Jets. Yeah, so I know they'll need the money. And, and so I like this for that reason. I'm glad that like Meta, out of everyone on Earth, like, chose her because that's the right choice.

00:34:23

Yeah, they should just this goes to the NYX fund.

00:34:26

I just don't— I just don't want them, okay?

00:34:29

Yeah.

00:34:30

And I don't want everyone else to get them, and then everyone else—

00:34:33

message to everyone else, please don't buy these.

00:34:35

Like, like, then everyone else is like taking content the way she was on the bike, and like everyone else is like taking like phoneless selfies. Like, I just— I can't keep up, okay? Just please, no.

00:34:45

Speaking of selfies, like when Corbin and Permita were taking a picture sitting right next to Caleb I was very upset.

00:34:52

Caleb needs to like stop acting like a loser because he is a very handsome, lovely guy. So stop acting like a loser.

00:35:02

That's good advice for kind of everyone on the island. No, just in life.

00:35:05

Acting like nobody wants him, like he's discard. He's one of the most handsome guys there. He has a heart of gold. Like, stop acting like second fiddle.

00:35:15

Jackie, you said Corbin. I'm like, what are you talking about? A heart of gold? Caleb.

00:35:21

Sorry, now go back.

00:35:23

Oh my God, I was genuinely like nodding my head because I'm a supportive sister. I'm like, what the hell is she talking about?

00:35:28

Caleb needs to stop acting like a loser. Like, nobody wants him.

00:35:33

No, I disagree with you. Nobody wants him, and everybody needs to stop treating him like a loser. The fact that he cannot get arrested, the hottest, sweetest guy on the show, is just proof.

00:35:42

Like, the only disgusting nature of—

00:35:44

yeah, like, the fact that he can literally cannot get arrested is just proof that like Sincere, who is the worst guy in the world, has had 3 girls now fall for him. Like, it's just— he's so on the wrong show. Him and Anaya need to go on Love Is Blind at this point.

00:35:58

I guess Anaya has the personality for Love Is Blind, which isn't a compliment, um, but like, at this point, like, Anaya's not, not my fave.

00:36:11

No, of course not. I miss my man.

00:36:14

No, even last night she was just like, like just talking so emphatically at the camera, like, you know, just saying all these things that's just like don't line up about how like they're the best and they're the baddest and I'm gonna like— it's just all this like hype and it's like, but you're gonna go cry for Casey.

00:36:29

Like, oh, I'm sorry, that's the theme of the entire villa right now. Every single girl— this villa is about to shake. Oh my God, so fucking ham. They're crying on the couch. I miss my man. Not one of them has kissed anyone. Kaida literally won't kiss this guy. Zach is over here sleeping in a bed with someone, but we haven't seen it because they're obviously cutting out Alana. But literally, Kate is over here being like, this fella's gonna shake when he comes back. You won't even kiss this guy?

00:36:50

No, like the, the talk versus the walk from Anaya.

00:36:55

Anaya from the whole group, I'm sorry, but really, yeah, Anaya.

00:36:58

And that is the most, to me, like the most glaring, obvious. Yeah, because Melanie's like pining for Sincere, but she's not in her confessionals like, no, and you also turn it up.

00:37:07

She's really not into anyone there.

00:37:09

Yeah, I don't know, that conversation with—

00:37:12

well, that was a turning point. The final word.

00:37:15

Okay, third story, memoir news.

00:37:17

Oh, well, let me think, who's writing a memoir?

00:37:20

You don't know, but I think you're gonna read it.

00:37:22

Really?

00:37:23

Memoirs of a Joe Manganiello.

00:37:26

You're kidding!

00:37:28

Joe Manganiello is sharing a lot about his life-threatening autoimmune-related illnesses that resulted in him having an amputation in his forthcoming memoir called What? You would never guess. Oh, Bloodlines.

00:37:49

Okay, you know what I was actually gonna say? Because he's from True Blood, that's like how he got famous.

00:37:54

And this is— so he said he dealt with a cascade of autoimmune-related illnesses that attacked his thyroid, digestive system, skin, lungs, and eyes. During the 7-year battle, he dealt with chronic pain, a life-saving organ amputation, existential crisis and a prolonged fight for survival that left doctors with few answers and no clear explanation. He also turned to an unorthodox form of treatment. He used shamans, pagan rituals, ancient myths, long-lost family records, and the rebirth of his own spirituality to try to aid his illness. So I guess that's where the Bloodlines also comes in, like he's tracing his ancestry to try and understand his health. Maybe you won't be reading it, even though it may be sort of It sort of reminds me of you and your thumb. It does.

00:38:38

Maybe I need to check my ancient bloodlines to see what's wrong with my thumb.

00:38:42

Maybe you should write a memoir called Thumb Wars.

00:38:46

I love that. Back to Joe Manganiello. All tea, all shade. I love this man more than anything. I've actually never wanted to read anything less. Um, I don't think Joe Manganiello is like a celebrity who's like really— whose personal life and career is like really interesting enough for a memoir. So I guess he had to take an alternate route and tell us about his autoimmune disease. But like, I'm genuinely all set. I have my own health issues. I don't know if you guys heard the pre-Fast Five banner. Like, I certainly don't need to spend my leisurely time reading about someone else's. And then once you hit— once when I hear the word shaman, personally, I just shut down because that means the person I'm talking to is like deeply not serious.

00:39:23

And pagan rituals.

00:39:25

Yeah, um, demonic Yeah, I think that also when we talk about like chronic illnesses and autoimmune, there is a reputation like for them being like fake and made up. And I really do believe that they're very much real. But I think in like celebrity culture, people use like autoimmune disease, like Lyme disease, they use it to— I think a lot of times these autoimmune diseases cover up anorexia. It's like, well, you think you're not feeling well, but it's because you're anorexic and you haven't eaten in 3 weeks. Um, or like they do it for attention. So I don't know, I'm not saying that Joe Manganiello is doing that. I'm just saying like I'm not interested in finding out.

00:39:58

No, I agree. No, this seems like very serious. It was like 7 years of his life, like debilitating. And but I agree with you, sometimes autoimmune diseases used as like a blanket to cover up like, you know, drug and alcohol abuse, like a thousand— could be a million things. But it's also like a very serious thing sometimes for real people. Yeah, yeah, for real people.

00:40:18

So this is probably the first time I'll have like something— first and last time I'll have something negative to say about Joe Manganiello. Like, I'm not really—

00:40:24

and like, but I love Is it a picture book?

00:40:27

Oh, and when we talk about organ amputation, which one?

00:40:32

Could be kidney, lung.

00:40:36

I guess we'll have to read the book to find out.

00:40:37

Kidney or lung.

00:40:39

Kidney or lung.

00:40:41

Um, and these days, actually had a huge bucket of them at Ruby's birthday party because it was early in the morning and I wanted to serve coffee, but like we were in the middle of the park and I wasn't about to be like, you know, making individual coffees.

00:42:41

And they were so popular, they were completely gone by the end of the party. It was such a great life hack if you're throwing a birthday party. They love to swirl flavors together, like Cherry Limeade, Piña Colada, Tropical Breeze, and now the Blueberry Lemonade. Every bite tastes like biting into a piece of ripe fruit. It's juicy, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. Very vibrant experience, perfect for the summer. We always have them every time we get groceries. We get like 3 or 4 boxes because the kids love them. Such a good way to cool down, a nice little sweet treat. You're welcome.

00:44:49

Next, Lizzo's new album fails to chart as dismal first week sales have been revealed. Rolling Stone has reported that Lizzo sold just 2,649 copies of her new album, Bitch, and achieved just 2.7 million on-demand streams according to music data company Luminate. In its second week, sales dropped to 650 units. Also, not one of the album's singles have become chart hits. Hits on the Billboard 200. Lizzo herself is speaking out against perceived changes in the music industry, saying, the industry changed so much in the last 3 years. Streaming replaced radio, and I was a radio darling. That's how my fans discovered my music. Um, she also said that the very obvious and public attack on her career has shifted the public's perception of her. Um, you know, I just want to say it has this— for sure— by 3 of her former backup —cancers.

00:45:42

It has for sure. But I feel like in culture, people— like, scandals come and go very quickly, and it's very rare that something sticks and really takes someone down. We always say like no one's really cancelable, but Lizzo's been such an interesting example. And I really think that a part of it that's just not being said— because people are like, it's this, it's that, it's radio— I think the music sucks. And that's, that's huge. Like, because when you think about— there are a lot of artists, we're always saying so many people separate the art from the artist. Like, you just like good songs. Like, why should we be punished? If she was releasing like true bangers, like, people would just forget about it. People forget shit all the time, like worse stuff than she did. I think her music sucks. And I think that there was also— I read a huge article, like people are like saying her label has sort of like left her out, abandoned her.

00:46:24

Yeah.

00:46:25

But the thing is, is I feel like these days, like, of course having a label behind you is huge, and you can always tell when somebody's getting like pushed by the label. It's annoying. Um, so much of it is just like bootstrapping on TikTok. Like, that's where— and she does the most on TikTok these days. She always was like the darling of TikTok, and now she's like making you know, TikToks about Love Island just to like boost her. Yeah, it's, it's like dire out there. But I think that what's not being said is like the music is just not good.

00:46:51

Yeah, if the music were good, like people would be listening to it. People, you know, even I think about like Ariana Grande, who's had like a worse PR nightmare over the last few years than her, and people still stream the music because like when it's good, it's good.

00:47:04

No, people just can't quit her. And like you just, you learn to just like grapple with whatever the accusations are. Everyone has— I mean, no, but also like, Jackie, who had a bigger scandal than Morgan Wallen?

00:47:13

Like, no, everyone has still listen to Chris Brown.

00:47:16

Well, of course. And then like, you were— I mean, Michael Jackson, R. Kelly. Yeah, of course. That's what I'm saying. Like, for somebody to be taken out completely, like wiped 2,600 albums, like wiped completely from the face of the universe, it's a— it's not just one thing. But I think what's not really being spoken about is like the album being really bad. Now, I do also want to say that I think people are really surprised. Like, obviously 2,600 is so low because we're used to like millions of albums sold. But like when an artist, like a very, like a famous artist, not like Taylor, but like a regular artist, it's always the, the album purchases. A, a successful album is considered like, like around 50,000. It's not what it used to be because people stream now. So I just, a little bit of perspective. It's not like everyone is selling 150,000.

00:47:59

I wasn't expecting, I wasn't expecting a million. 50,000 is a lot. Yeah. Right.

00:48:03

But it's not like back in the day, like Celine Dion, like millions and millions and millions. 'Cause people don't buy albums anymore. Like the structure is different now. Of course, when we compare to like Taylor and Adele and Beyoncé, like when they, but like regular artists, it's like around Lizzo's size. I think they do like 30 to 50.

00:48:18

Okay, so she's very much falling short, of course.

00:48:21

But it's not like everyone's doing a million song—

00:48:24

not one single— that Billboard 200.

00:48:27

And I would love to know like what it really is. Perhaps it's just a perfect storm of the scandal, which she really didn't recover from well. But so many people go through so many scandals, and so many bigger ones, honestly.

00:48:37

Like, or like, I just wonder like where are her fans? Like the people who were like her number one fans, like, back 4 years ago for her last album.

00:48:49

I think that the effects of Ozempic on, like, Lizzo— the effects of Ozempic on culture can't— I have to be brought up here as well, because what I think Ozempic showed the world is that, like, well, yes, it's totally okay to be plus-size, and if you are plus-size, you should be treated like a human being. Like, but people who are plus-size don't want to be plus-size. They're not plus-size for the most part by choice. So when this thing came that sort of gave you the option to not be anymore, which like was never an option for most people, myself included, of course most people are going to take it. And I think a stunning indictment— I don't know if you saw Trisha Paytas for Roe.

00:49:30

I saw that she's doing GLP ones. I didn't know why that's a big deal.

00:49:34

It's a big deal because she was very— actually, it's— people are making it into a big deal, but it's not. She's a mom of 3, she's a working woman, and she was unhealthy. And she just like, literally, she's like, I just want to feel good. She's like, does her What I Eat in a Day now, and she's just like, she still eats a ton. Like, she's like, I'm not even skinny, I'm just like trying to be healthier. She does Pilates, she goes for walks every day. Um, but it's caused like a huge— everyone's freaking out, like, Trisha Paytas is on a GLP-1. But she reminds me a little bit of Lizzo, just like the face of this movement. But I feel like Trisha was like unwillingly the face. She just like, she struggled and wanted to look different. Lizzo is the face of this movement.

00:50:12

It wasn't like her whole brand. I didn't even, when I think of Trisha Paytas, I don't think of her size.

00:50:17

No, I actually just wanted to talk about Trisha Paytas on GLP Ones. That's actually neither here nor there. Lizzo was the face of this movement and the movement really is no longer a movement because when given the option, most people took the drug because while yes, we're embracing fat and fat is beautiful, like it's not our first choice. Choice. Yeah. So when you were actually for the first time given a choice, of course you're going to take it. Yeah. I think her, her sort of messaging became a little irrelevant.

00:50:44

I think, I think when she, like, she blew up in such a way at the time that she did, and her messaging and just her essence really touched on the zeitgeist of that moment. Yes. And that moment has passed. Yep. And she's failed to capture whatever moment we're in now. I don't even know what. And the music doesn't speak to what we're now Maybe it's still— I haven't listened to it, so maybe it's still doing that 2018 thing that, you know, everything is a phase, every— like, but evolve or die. And so no one wants to hear that message right now. That's just not the vibe. So if she didn't evolve, she's stuck in the past. And if she did and it's not good, then it's just not good.

00:51:26

It's just crazy because like 3 or 4 years ago she was the most nominated, uh, like, uh, artist at the Grammys that year.

00:51:32

Yeah, but I think if we think hard about it, there are probably a lot of other cases like this. I mean, it's the Kia Asylum. It's just we're all talking about it more because like Lizzo is so talkaboutable, you know.

00:51:42

Yes, she is. She's that lightning rod.

00:51:44

Yeah, people like talking about her. They like, you know, just like pinning things to her, you know, making her like just like a, the, um, symbol of a larger conversation. But look at the whole— every cell at the Kia Asylum, it's this.

00:51:58

Yeah, it is.

00:51:58

It's people with like who had a huge moment, who had a huge moment and then failed to follow up. Up. That's really all it is. I don't think it's like a bigger conversation. I just think like, you know, sometimes you— even with influencers, they go super viral, they have to blow up so quickly, and then like a few years later it's like, well, what are you doing now?

00:52:18

Because that doesn't last forever, right?

00:52:21

So I think that's just like natural. Yeah. And 2600, at the end of the day, if the song— if the music was good, people would be listening to it, period.

00:52:33

The thing is though, also, I think a lot of artists have like major flops, but the numbers don't become a headline.

00:52:38

It's like, why do we know this number, right?

00:52:41

That's what I'm saying. People also just like hate Lizzo and like want to see her fail.

00:52:43

Stone put it out. She's a hater there. Like, why does Rolling Stone hate Lizzo? I don't know.

00:52:48

But like, there are definitely artists who have major, major flops numbers-wise.

00:52:52

Do you think it's because they think she's bananas?

00:52:54

I do think that this is like on, like, on the larger scale in terms of flops. Like, people flop a lot, but to not have a single single from the album chart. Like, that's, that's kind of like disastrous.

00:53:05

Yeah, I just want to know like what happened between Rolling Stone and Lizzo, because it's like this wouldn't have been the story if they didn't report it. Yeah, yeah, it's true.

00:53:15

Um, it's not even like it's like Billboard wrote it up, who like does the charts.

00:53:18

Like, yeah, or that someone noticed she didn't have a single song on the chart, because otherwise like how do we get access to how many albums you down to the one, 2,649.

00:53:31

It is publicly available information because we always know how many Taylor does.

00:53:35

I guess just no one like always checks in when—

00:53:38

yeah, like a week after the album releases and the charts come out, it has the numbers on it.

00:53:43

Okay, it does. Yeah. Okay, our fifth and final story, a little NYX news. Jordan Woods's lucky orange bag gets a place of honor at the Guggenheim Museum. Following the Knicks' big win.

00:54:01

Is it actually staying there? This was just like a TikTok. Oh, I don't know, but, um, because she like had an interview that went viral saying like the bag needs to be in the Guggenheim or the MoMA. She was like listed a couple of museums, so somebody got in on the viral moment. I don't know if it's actually going to stay there.

00:54:16

Yeah, it probably won't stay there very long, but maybe for a little bit. Her— so Jordyn Woods has her lucky orange bag that she wore to nearly every game leading up to their historic win, and fans like knew the bag and his lucky bag.

00:54:27

No, no, and the time she didn't They won all their playoff games, like, that's— they were on a run. They lost one game and she didn't bring the bag. It's— and the cool thing is that it's from her brand.

00:54:39

Yes, which is like a great thing. Her brand is in the Guggenheim. Woods by Jordan. Yeah.

00:54:45

So I think like the whole bag thing has been really fun, obviously, but like for a business owner, it's a dream.

00:54:51

Yeah, it's obviously been completely sold out since they won. That's hilarious. Yeah, really cute.

00:54:59

Yeah, and Karl-Anthony Towns, like, whenever he's asked about it, he's like, oh, you mean Woods by Jordan? Like, he's always making sure the brand name gets in the headline. It's actually so sweet. That's really cute. Yeah, they're really cute together. I wonder when they're getting married. Probably soon, like, because basketball is a long season and they have to do it in the offseason, which starts now.

00:55:16

So you think they're going to get married before the next season?

00:55:19

I feel like they'll maybe get married this summer. Yeah, he keeps calling her wifey, like like, yeah, and she had her bachelorette party already. Oh, sorry, yeah, they're definitely getting married like today. Oh, cute. That's like something just to be on the look. Do you think Kylie will be there?

00:55:29

Yeah. What's the connection? Okay, sorry, I thought you meant Taylor. I don't know, I was just thinking about Taylor. Sorry.

00:55:36

Of course, we always are.

00:55:38

Yeah, if she's not there, that's— yeah, she should be there based on what we know. She should be there based on what we know.

00:55:44

But I'm just saying, I know in my heart of heart, like, Jordyn has a little bit of hate in her heart for Kylie. But she shouldn't. But they'll never be back where they were. And like, it's— yeah, and they should— aesthetic, and it's good. But I know that Jordan like is resentful, and I feel like—

00:55:58

I feel like that's not fair, and they shouldn't be at the level that they were because that like— now they have like husbands and children. Of course they were like each other like that. What, are they gonna live together again?

00:56:09

No. Agreed. All right, let's dive into Lausa TV recap. Casa Amor night 3. We had probably the craziest challenge, and like I'm sorry, I'm starting. Let me just— let me get it out of the way. Let me get it out of the way. So disgusting, that like free-for-all freestyle orgy at the very end. Like, the, the challenge was disgusting up until that point. I have to— I can't lie, I barely watched. Like, but I knew what the premise was. I was like, okay.

00:56:31

I genuinely was watching the whole time. I found myself like, if I was wearing pearls, I would have been clutching, clutching them. I had my hand over my mouth, like, in shock. The foot Like so much feet. It was insane.

00:56:46

And the whole thing— and I'm glad that like the editors— sorry, excuse me, the producers like seem to be a little bit more heavy-handed this time because obviously they were very particular about who's going to win which challenge and it had to be a tie so that there was a freak-off at the end. It was literally a Diddy party freak.

00:56:58

Like, it was so—

00:57:00

and it's about time. They've like let the, the Islanders like— they let them be a little too much and that's how we've gotten in this poor situation. So yeah, a little bit of heavy-handed editing I was down for. Editing, not editing, producing. Yeah. Um, because it was just like a little too convenient, you know? And like, we want Zach to think that Kaitlyn's really with this guy. So it was smart.

00:57:18

Yeah, there were some of them where I actually felt like it shouldn't have been that way. Like someone else needed to win to get that person like riled up. Yeah, right. Like, of course Casey won over Anaya so that she can like understand, hopefully moving on.

00:57:34

Hopefully, hopefully, but probably still I, I do like Casey and Tierra, but the way Casey is acting in this Casa Amor, like, he's up there with Sincere. Like, he is bad news. The fact that he like had to sleep with Sydney the next night, like, just to go back to Tierra, like, she— why is it like, why do people think it's weird that she's not exploring? I feel like coming in saying you're my type, I like you, I'm here to see you, is so normal and actually like should be a quality that he admires about her, but instead it's like pissing him off.

00:58:05

I really like her energy and her approach. I mean, it's just crazy how it's for Casey, but fine. But like, where's that energy for Caleb? No, I feel sick.

00:58:16

Parmida like jumped ship so hard.

00:58:18

You know what Parmida does? He can't handle all that. Parmida and Corbin, like, I like them.

00:58:23

The thing is, there's nobody here for Caleb. I think that it probably was Kenzie and And I just think Kenzie is not who the producers thought she was gonna be.

00:58:33

Agreed with that.

00:58:33

She's not who I thought she was gonna be. I don't even know who the fuck she is. Like, that conversation about sugar, spice, everything nice with that freaky guy whose name I don't know, like, was genuinely some of the most painful shit I've had to sit through.

00:58:43

Like, I agree, but I think I'm a great visual— I'm a visual learner. Oh my God, he was messing with her, Claudia. He was messing with her because he wanted to keep looking at her boobs. Of course, of course.

00:58:53

He goes, I'm a visual learner. She's like, you are? Me too. And he was like, yeah, same. You just said that.

00:58:59

No, I know, but he was like being funny. Coy. No, no, he was being funny. He's like, I'm a visual, let me see those boobs again. I actually, I, I like, I didn't have an issue with him. I, I like them together. I think that they're a fit and I'm glad that Corbin has Parmida. I just need love for Caleb.

00:59:17

Kenzie, like Kenzie is the sincere of the girl side except that she doesn't have the power that sincere has. Like, but she's lowkey like, you're what I've been waiting for. Who have you been waiting—

00:59:28

you haven't waited one second. Uh, no, I think what she meant was like someone who is her type, who she also like gets along with, you know. Like they brought in Caleb for her, but she just like didn't connect with him. And as much as like her and Corbin were connected, she kept saying like he's not her usual type. And I think— I mean, we could see it, it was all physical between them. Yeah, like, what the fuck did they talk about?

00:59:54

Also, like, Corbin, like, hates her. Like, every time he gets asked about it, he's like, I haven't thought about her once.

00:59:59

Why does he hate her? She was nothing but nice to him. Obsessed. I don't know. So that was rude. And yeah, all the OGs are sort of like retreating back to one another. Bryce and Trinity, like, very much are very—

01:00:11

are winning each other, and they will—

01:00:12

they're winning. They will come back to each other. It will be very cute, and then they will—

01:00:16

agreed, agreed. Trinity is gonna be like— Trinity will take it Um, Casey is not coming back to Anaya. Anaya is still a question mark. And then Sincere's like, is she a solidified question mark? What does that even mean? These guys also talk in so many analogies. Like, Sincere's always been like, Sincere, she's chocolate chip cookie dough, and I'm chocolate chip, but like sometimes I like chocolate chip. Even Soul was like, he's apple pie, and I don't always like apple pie, but maybe he's apple pie that I like.

01:00:45

Maybe he's a crisp apple.

01:00:47

Yeah, the analogies are killing me. Does the craziest analogies. Sincere is the one I saw somebody say, like, last night's episode was sincere versus the English language. Like, he can't talk and he's always like, epitome.

01:01:00

That was insane. Yeah, but who am I to judge? Of course.

01:01:05

Um, what else happened on last night's episode besides that freaky— oh, and then like Caleb has been thrown together with this random girl, uh, what's her name, Jaden. She has pink eye. Nobody else knows.

01:01:17

She does.

01:01:19

She's got some funky eye infection, like there. She has. I was actually very worried. I hope it's not contagious. We need to get a medic on.

01:01:27

Maybe she's not having someone's ass on her face. It was before, but you know, in the heat rising challenge.

01:01:34

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh my God, seriously, wow, wow, we need a medic.

01:01:38

She looks kick. I didn't even notice, but like, I won't hear a word of slander for anyone who's giving Caleb the time of day.

01:01:44

I know, the thing is, and it pains me to say this, like, Caleb has to go home. Like, this is just not the place for him.

01:01:50

No, it's really— it's not.

01:01:54

Oh, and then Alana was in the episode for half a second. I'm fairly certain she's probably already home now. They— you said this, I don't know if you said it on the show or you texted me, but she's kind of like an important plot device for Zach Viqueda, and we need Zach to like kind of like her So her being whisked away doesn't help the divide they're trying to create between Kaida and Zach. So she will be sent home when the villa reunites.

01:02:17

No, but I think they're gonna wait to see what Zach decides, and Zach is gonna send her home.

01:02:22

Yeah, right. Zach's going back with—

01:02:24

it's gonna handle itself. But if she were there, they're gonna wait to see if he will bring her to the villa, and then even if he did bring her to the villa, then the next day they would send her home and he has to deal with the consequences. That would be great, right? But he's not even bringing her. So the guy that's Kaida—

01:02:39

and I don't know any of the new people's names, I know the girls but I don't know the guys— the guy that Kaida is chatting with, okay, his name is Che. He looks just like Brian who won last season. Does nobody think that?

01:02:48

Joey Camasta. Oh, he looks like Joey Camasta.

01:02:51

And why he looks most like Joey Camasta is because he's a little like fruity. No, does nobody else think that he might be gay? The way he talks, he's like very— I think him and Kate are getting along because like he's one of the girls, he's a little swirly. Yeah, like does nobody else think that? I was just like, no, I didn't think that. Maybe it was just that he looked like Joey Camasta that it was like that.

01:03:11

I thought maybe there's a gay man.

01:03:13

I thought he looked like Joey Camasta too. That's really funny. Um, what else? Oh, and then, um, Anaya and Carl, like that's— if she doesn't— a really good match. She is a fool though. Like, I think that it's been made clear. No, no, if she does pick him, like, I'll have respect for her, but like, and because I understand it's hard to leave your OG, it's like Stockholm syndrome, I get it. But she has proven to us like time and time again that she is a fool. I'm almost certain that she will go back to Casey and he will bring back Tierra.

01:03:45

Yeah, and he should bring back Tierra. He really likes her and she's a great gal. I love these Casa girls. Girls. Yes, great crop. I really like them. I want more of them to come to the Village.

01:03:56

Yeah, well, Parmita will be there.

01:03:58

Parmita will be there. TT. Jaden will be there.

01:04:03

Jaden will be there. I don't need Sydney. Um, she freaks me out. That conversation about whipped cream, like, she was like, do you do freaky stuff like toys and stuff? And Casey was like, no. But he's like such a big talker. He's always talking about how he wants— oh yeah, but he's like, no, I don't do ways. He's like, I mean, like, have you done like whipped cream? What the fuck was that? I don't know.

01:04:21

I like her though, but I don't think she's coming back. Me neither.

01:04:24

Um, and I don't think that Alana is coming back either.

01:04:28

And then, oh, Sincere and Amora. Amora.

01:04:33

Okay, so the thing is, I actually get the vibe that Sincere does not like her.

01:04:36

No, he's doing his soul thing again.

01:04:38

No, but with soul, like, I believed him.

01:04:40

I really thought he liked her. And you would have believed him now except we just witnessed witnessed the soul gate.

01:04:45

No, but every time he talks, like, to respond to her and reciprocate her feelings, he, like, hesitates a lot. And I don't know if it's the editing, they're trying to make us think that he's thinking about Melanie.

01:04:54

Yeah, I think that he's, like, trying to explore for the sake of being an explorer, but he's going back to Melanie 100%. And I hope that someone can get through to Melanie.

01:05:05

I feel like— is it, like, allowed to tell what you've seen on TV? Because I wonder what's his name. I don't know. Veneers.

01:05:14

I don't know his name. I gotta say, I think it might be Corey.

01:05:17

Corey, those are some of the craziest videos I've ever seen. Like, honestly, they're enormous. He told Melanie like what they've seen on TV and like what— not that I like it from TV.

01:05:27

I like what I've seen.

01:05:28

No, but he also said like, I've seen about Sincere. Like, I feel like he was sort of hinting to her that she's coming off looking stupid? Because then in the confessional she was like, I really don't want to look stupid.

01:05:40

Interesting.

01:05:41

Don't you feel like she's also changed so much from like the girl in the first week? She was very crazy, Huda Mustafa energy. Yeah. And she's very calm now.

01:05:49

Yeah, but is it just the quiet in the eye of the storm? There was a period where like Huda got quiet after the big storm, like, and she went to Casa and she partnered with Chris and yeah, and then it all— and we forgot about her for a second. Yeah, yeah. And then it blew up again. So I, I'm reserving judgment, but I agree she's definitely been a little more tame. But still, her reactions are so big. Yeah, you know, someone— when one of the girls is like— well, she wasn't there for this, but like, when Trinity said she kissed someone and the girls are shrieking, and it's like, Kaida, what do you mean you're shrieking that she kissed him? She just sat on his face at the challenge.

01:06:23

No, Kaida, no wonder your voice is hoarse. You are always screaming.

01:06:27

Always screaming over a kiss when like literally I think someone might have given a live blowjob job at the challenge.

01:06:32

They actually had to cut a lot of stuff.

01:06:34

Yeah, they cut away from Cormac and Parmita. Like, I think he went down on her on television. Like, I don't know, like, because what's stopping them from having— yeah, it's kind of like last season with Huda and Ace. Like, if one of them pulled down the pants and started giving a blowjob, like, would they win the challenge? Probably, yeah. So like, that's what's next, really, to every— like, we are going to every base. We are rounding third.

01:06:58

Yeah, maybe next season we'll be at the live orgy.

01:07:01

Like, seriously, someone will get up there and have sex because that's exac—

01:07:05

that's what they're doing now. We almost wrapped up the entire Love Island recap without bringing up Jen.

01:07:11

Well, because Jen and God, like, very cued off into the sun.

01:07:17

There's no one else there for either of them, so it's sort of like they, they need each other and they like each other.

01:07:24

She chose him out of the 12 guys. Like, that was her pick for her. She likes him. He's her type. I think it's great. Great. They have like actual conversation about like, you know, nonsense, which is what people talk about. Just do here, like, no, and that's what you do in life. Like, what do you like to do? What do you like to do? Like, just they talk instead of just always talking about like what the fact that they're talking. That's what everybody else does. It's like like, well, we're talking about our conversations. We're talking about the fact that we're having a conversation, but whereas let's just have a conversation.

01:07:55

How do you feel our conversations are going?

01:07:57

Are you open to having a conversation? Are you open to having more conversations?

01:08:01

This is a classic one.

01:08:02

I really like our conversations and I want to have more chats.

01:08:07

Of course, put me for a chat, and I'm open to having more chats. And cutest bombshell— where the chats go. The cutest bombshell, um, is Ronnie, and no one's giving him the time of day. He had one conversation with Melanie, but I don't think it was impactful.

01:08:19

Sort slip through because he was there for Melanie, but then Melanie swore for Corey. Yeah, and that's that on that.

01:08:25

And it's crazy, like, Corey was the one who made out with Trinity and now is with Melanie, when like I wouldn't have picked him dead last. Like, it's just so funny how like people's tastes— yeah, yeah, you know.

01:08:38

Well, that's our show. It is.
