We have major developments this afternoon coming out of Minneapolis. It is taco Monday to all who celebrate, and I say that in jest, but the Trump administration had decided to pull Greg Bovino, the Border Patrol chief who had been on the ground. German media previously likened him to a Nazi, just by the way he dressed. He is being pulled out of Minnesota, and some of his top agents from Customs and Border Patrol are also being pulled in a retreat. Pretty. At the same time, more Republican senators are coming out in support of a full and thorough investigation into the horrific murder of Alex Pretty and calling out Christie Noem for jumping to conclusions way too fast when essentially she called Pretty a domestic terrorist. Things are moving fast right now. I have all the updates for you. Make sure to like, comment, share, and subscribe. Okay, let's just jump right into it. Greg Bovino is expected to leave Minneapolis tomorrow. This, according to multiple sources, ABC News and elsewhere, he is leaving.

00:01:12

A number of other top CB BP officials are also leaving. They are going to be going where? Probably back to Washington, DC. There are rumors that the Trump administration has its eyes set on other cities for immigration enforcement, like potentially Philadelphia and Milwaukee. But right now, plans are very fluid. Why are Border Patrol agents leaving? Well, because Tom Homen is coming to town. So Greg Bovino has been undercut by Homen. Homen will be on the ground. Now, I want to make something very clear. Just because Bovino is leaving does not mean that ICE is leaving. Cbp and ICE are two separate agencies. They're under the D8 best umbrella, but ICE officers are still and will still remain on the ground, even as some, but not all, CBP agents are leaving with Bovino. At the same time, today, the Trump DOJ withdrawn its application for the chief judge to consider the application for arrest warrants in the Saint Paul Church protest. This is where they were seeking charges against Dawn Lemon, the journalist, and others. It is clear that they are folding, not just in removing Bovino, but also folding in this case. While they could seek an indictment via a grand jury, it is unlikely.

Now it comes as Governor Wall says, Trump's staff does not have their facts straight about Minnesota. He pende an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that was published saying that federal officials are lying. They are lying about what is happening, the immigration situation on the ground in Minnesota right now. And it's clear. I mean, he is right. And at the same time, this afternoon, Christie Noem is getting a lot of heat, a lot of heat. This is a Republican senator who votes with Trump in the White House nearly the entire time. This is from Senator John Curtis. You can read it here. John Curtis is essentially saying that there needs to be a full and thorough investigation into what happened. I want you to look at one specific line with me that I think is the most important part, because truthfully, this is a signal that there is not much support for Nome in the United States Senate. Read this. None of us yet have full set of facts, which This is why we rely on a legal process to uncover the truth, apply the facts, and ensure accountability were warranted. Whether the process shows an officer acted lawfully or that accountability is required, both outcomes matter because justice matters.

00:03:42

Until the facts are fully known, we should lead with empathy, restraint, and respect for the rule of law. That is important. That is important. So he put out that statement, and then I want you to see this follow-up statement that Curtis put out shortly thereafter, because this the big one. Look at this. Take a look. I'm going to pull it up right here. Take a look. You've trusted me in maintaining that trust matters. I've worked hard to be your eyes, ears, and voice. We must have a transparent and independent investigation into the Minnesota shooting, and those responsible, no matter their title, must be held accountable. Officials who rush to judgment before all the facts are known undermine public trust and law enforcement mission. I disagree with Secretary Noem's premature DHS response, which before all the facts were known and weakened confidence. I'll be working with a bipartisan group of senators to demand real oversight and transparency, including supporting calls from Rand Paul for leaders of these operations to testify. It comes as we now have 145 co-sponsors to impeach Christie Noem, the latest, Pat Ryan, Christie Houlahan, Hank Johnson, John Mannian, and Dawn Byer. They have signed on today to impeach Christie Noem.

00:04:56

This is what Fox News had to say about the incident today.

00:05:00

I'm going to leave the Minneapolis situation to President Trump and Tom Homan and other experts who know far more about it than I do. All I wish to do is reaffirm my support for police and law and order. I want to reaffirm my opposition to- Larry Kudlow had nothing to say.

00:05:23

I do want you to listen from Ted Cruz, because Ted Cruz called out the messaging from this White House.

00:05:27

Administration could do better is the tone with which they're describing this. That immediately when an incident like this happens, they come out guns blazing.

00:05:40

He's talking about what Christie Noem had to say. Well, Jessica Tarlov on Fox News put it pretty perfectly, in my opinion. Take a listen.

00:05:48

Have you seen the body cam video? I was unaware you had the body cam. You know what? It's going to exonerate all the agents. You're completely right. Steven Miller saying an assassin tried to murder federal agents. This is your response, and JD Vance retweeting it. Says something about where this administration is and how they're considering it before and after the murder of Alex Prattie. This will go down in history as a turning point for this. Greg Vivino wouldn't be leaving tomorrow if an innocent person wasn't killed. The double standards that are being employed for how you have to behave versus how these agents have to behave is mind boggling to me. Kyle Rittenhouse was a conservative hero for walking into a protest, actually brandishing a weapon. But this guy who had a legal permit to carry and already had had his gun removed to some people, I guess, as some instigator when he was actually going to help a woman who had been pushed down and tear-gassed by ICE. We have the right to protest that should be upheld and respected It is not being... Jessica, did you call for- That's pretty clear from Jessica Tarloff.

00:06:50

Pretty clear. Pretty clear on Fox News. I do want you to hear from Ruben Gallego about the effort to impeach, though. What about impeaching Christie Noem?

00:06:59

Well, I mean, that's a house decision. If that comes to us in the Senate, I'll gladly be able to try it. I think it's ridiculous that someone like Christie Noem just went out right away and basically called this poor victim a terrorist, a violent terrorist. That right there is impeachable. The fact that she didn't wait to see the video that was coming out, automatically said that this man was banishing a weapon, which we now know is not true. She lied about a citizen to justify his murder, and that is not leadership. The President should ask for her resignation. But if not, I do think the House should impeach.

00:07:36

I do think the House should impeach.

00:07:39

We've seen a lot.

00:07:41

That is, I mean, right then and there. We'll see what happens next. But really, the tides are turning fast. The Trump administration knows polling isn't well right now. Here we are. Here we are. I do think they're going to impeach Noem. I do think she will be removed, whether through impeachment or through Trump just saying, She needs to go.
