This episode of The Joe Budden Podcast opens with a lighthearted recap of the hosts' Halloween weekend, then turns to a debate sparked by food critic Keith Lee's exchange with Two Chainz on Kirk Franklin's podcast. The hosts discuss whether restaurant reviewers should be invited to critique businesses, how celebrities should be treated in service settings, and where entitlement begins.
The conversation then moves to N.O.R.E.'s confrontation with food reviewer Sober Facts, the ethics of confronting people online, and Mona's apology to Cardi B. The show also covers Angela Rye's public disagreement over political expertise and a neighborhood noise dispute involving Mark Lamont Hill.
Listeners hear several sides of each argument.
In this episode Joe Budden, Mark Lamont Hill

Don't make that cocksaw face like you do, like—
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Cocksaw is a word.
Oh.
What's the word?
Every word we pause is a word, though. Just to be—don't stop me.
That ain't pause protection.
I'm asking you a question.
I want to smoke.
You chose the white man side of a mind, yes?
I chose a pause over—I'm always going to take the opportunity to pause somebody.
Okay. And cocksaw is my brother.
I love you, bro.
Cocksaw? What's cocks—what does cocksaw mean? Tell him.
That means you're sure of your cock.
Yeah?
That's how I—
All right, guys.
Hey, let's get these phones up. Let's get these phones up.
You ready?
Phones up.
Y'all fucking ready.
Well, I'm—
Phones up.
Phones away.
Strong as shit.
I know the fuck y'all was—whatever the fuck y'all was saying.
We have a broadcast to deliver.
Of course.
And everyone's listening.
That's right.
Be careful what you say. They're all going to laugh at you.
And no cursing.
You can curse why you can't curse.
You got to edit it out.
Huh?
Huh? The first couple of minutes.
You shouldn't do that.
Dog, everything I do is now motivated by monetization.
Oh.
Every—everything I do ain't money-based and just—I'm living my life based off an algorithm. Like, I'm living a real life here. If we don't get paid from video, we just don't get paid from video.
Your brother just said—
Go out and sell a brick. Make some money.
Bro, I—
Do what you got to do. "Ooh, they didn't pay you on your YouTube bill."
Oh, the worst class.
I see that email and fucking close out, nigga.
Because you hold law and order, nigga.
Close out that email.
Because you're getting bigger money, huh? You think I didn't see that, boy?
Lucy.
That's coming from him.
Butler.
In your bag. Go ahead.
Something tells me they weren't getting along too great. You didn't hear it from me, but—
I'm happy to see you on that.
I'm happy to see you too, man. Oh, happy to see me on law and order?
Yeah, of course.
Oh, all my—
See, I watched episode 9.
All my family watched.
I—
How'd you feel about it?
I thought you did good. I mean, it was only—
Mark will never miss a second opportunity. It's getting in your bag, Mark.
Do I—
Because we—because listen. No, you mute up. Shut the fuck up, nigga. Because—because—
That's coming from him.
Mark has the right—this is me talking.
That's what it is. It's—this is me talking.
That's what it is.
This is me talking right here.
That's them cracking on my, uh, the Crime in America script.
Yeah, yeah.
These guys are great. But anyway, Mark had the right idea in "Let's Crack on Joe" on law and order. He—he was right. But these are my friends. They don't be wanting to laugh at shit I'm, like, really trying out there for the first time. But Mark, you had the right idea.
Not just that. We ain't see it. We didn't know it was Aaron, remember?
Yeah.
We didn't know.
Something's off about that.
Well, you didn't say nothing.
You didn't promote it.
That's—that's what's awful about it.
Something's all—
I don't regularly watch law and order.
I mean, now that you've seen it, can you understand why he didn't promote it?
Yeah.
That's wild.
Wow.
I get it.
Wow.
He owes you a couple, actually, though, so.
Who freeze?
I was not said to freeze.
I don't know. You've been shooting it freeze.
He owes you a couple.
Yeah.
Listen, man.
He owes you a couple.
Anyway.
I thought you did—I really thought he did good. That's why I didn't clown it.
Fuck you, Mark.
I didn't—didn't I say that?
Listen, all my family members are really excited. I started getting the texts, "Oh, if Grandma was alive."
Aw.
"And she saw you on law and order." It'd be all of that, but I'm not going to sentimental out a segment where we should be joking on me.
Nah, that's fine.
But my family was happy. You guys can fucking—go ahead, shoot away, man.
Yeah, I'm just kidding.
Shoot away. I'm not the—come on. I'm not the greatest actor. Come on. What—what you got?
Listen, man.
Rome wasn't built in a day. You know what I mean?
Baby steps, Joe.
Baby steps, Joe. Baby steps. I mean—
He hit you with the "Rome wasn't built in a day."
At some point, I'mma pull—I'mma pull up—I'mma pull up the lines. I'mma go—I'mma open up my peacock. I'mma open up Hulu or—
I mean, you came a long way, though.
Yeah.
Reading for Daredevil. Now you actually got the part.
Wow.
Still shooting.
That's true.
Yeah.
No, no, that's not—
No, he's right. I—
That's not a shot.
I read for Daredevil and then watched my scene get done by—
Exactly.
Watching some white dude.
Hm?
See you right, fool.
I wasn't—
What was I writing for?
What character?
He was in the gym.
The dude in the gym.
Dude number three.
Gym number three.
Dude on the gym that was—
Spotter number two.
Yeah, the spotter. And then he got killed. Homeboy got up and fucking clubbed him over the head with the fucking—
At least he didn't die.
Yeah.
That's one way to look at it.
He snitched.
That's true.
Damn.
I got two leads for you.
I did rap.
We know.
Big rap.
Big, big rap vibes.
You freeze him.
Sent him—sent him right on the trail.
It's really Joe Bag.
Oh, shit.
It's the freeze bag more than Joe Bag.
No, it's not.
I at least try to hold it down.
I ain't going to be around nobody I got a rat on, too. But anyway.
But we all do some shit that we're not good at, and we're going to have to, like—I—I—to me, it's fun to make fun of Joe for shit he's good at. Like, you know, if you have, like, a bad episode or, like, a wack verse because you're an excellent rapper. So, like, that's funny. Doing some shit you actually are learning, that ain't funny to me. That's just mean. I mean, I don't—I don't do that.
No, you don't.
No.
That's true.
Ice.
This nigga's a dick, yo.
Ice.
This nigga's a dick.
He's certified.
No, like, every time I think he can't get no worse.
I want to be—I'm being sincere. Like, I'm saying, like, I—
You're not sincere.
I am, like, I'm not going to make fun of some shit he's not good at.
You make fun of every fucking thing.
No, I don't.
Yeah, it's got—should say something.
Man.
You can't help yourself.
I thought my skin looked great.
It did.
I thought the outfit looked great.
The African art was impeccable.
The African art. Yeah, come on. Stop playing.
You delivered the lines as they—I thought you did great.
It was only, like, one or two lines that felt reedy.
No, now the voice—
The one voicemail.
The voicemail was terrible.
That was hard to hear, so I'm giving that a pass.
Your face.
See, it was funny. The voicemail, I think, was exactly how they wanted it.
Really?
The voicemail, I was in a booth. I came back a whole different day. Got in a recording booth with the talkback and gave them.
For 30 seconds.
900—I gave them 900,000 of that. So I'm sure they picked whatever was in the booth.
They picked the first one.
See, I was getting coached. And then at the end of it, he said, "All right, now you can say this line the way that you would say it." And I said, "I'm not going to waste your time." Because y'all are not going to air how I would say this threat if somebody owed me money. It's going to be cursed. It's not going to be law and order. Like, I thought it was very law and order. "Y'all break your face ugly." That's law and order.
I'll break your face ugly.
You want to make this thing ugly? I'll break your face ugly.
I'll break your face.
I'll break your face ugly.
That was my Def Jam Vendetta voice.
Yeah.
Yeah?
That's what it was.
But after that, you hit—you hit a stride, man. I thought it was really strong.
Thank you, man. I thought—I thought later in the scene I did—I did hit a stride.
Good job, man. Good job.
Thank you.
Proud of you, though.
Thank you, man.
Mark is a shady, shady bitch.
What?
I'm not going to make fun of this.
I have nothing to say about it.
Back to bad.
Jesus.
That shady ass nigga.
Watching this nigga act. It's like watching people have sex.
Yo.
Oh, Jesus Mary.

Oh, dude.
I know we can't say that—that—that our word.
You got to watch the Chay stand up because he does a whole bit and it's pretty fucking good.
Michael Chay.
Yeah.
Oh, I'm looking forward to that, man.
Yeah. Yeah, it's good.
It turned out as good as you hoped?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm telling you.
It was good.
I'm going to check it out.
Yeah, you should.
I'm going to check it out.
He does a whole bit on the—on the word.
Yep.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I think that's—yeah. Like, I'm on his side. I didn't hear it yet, but.
You're on his side.
Like, that word's a coming.
I mean, yeah.
Come on, yo.
No, I agree.
He made some valid points in the stand-up. That's all I'm saying.
Okay. I need to watch it.
Just watch it. Just watch it. Watch it.
It's shit that I've been saying forever.
I don't even see enough people to—for them to be able to have that stance on things. Like, back in the day, in the '80s, everybody was. But today, ain't enough of them just—they ain't outside deep like that.
Yo. Well, no.
Yo, chill, yo.
See, Joe.
All right, forget it.
Forget it.

Yeah, we had a good time. We had a good time. Tearing up the streets of Astoria.
Little bar hopping.

Washed it up, bro. Took the kids sugar treating. And then by the time it was done, we looked at each other like, "Yeah, fuck this."
Damn.
Yeah, I do shit.
That shit was awesome.
Told my girl there wasn't nobody going to come and grab them Kit Kats out the little bucket she put by the door. And there ain't nobody. Fucking what?
More candy for you.
We had four people show up.
We didn't have anybody.
There ain't nobody come get no candy all night.
All the way to the same.
There's no egg houses.
That's good.
That part's good.
That's not.
Somebody came to your house and egged up your house.
Listen.
You'd still be whipping the egg.
I would be mad, but for the spirit of Halloween, I respect it.
Man, fuck the spirit of Halloween.
Fuck.
Oh, egg marshmallow.
Halloween became for pussies, y'all. I'm sorry. These niggas is doing Halloween all year round. That's why we not able to cherish Halloweens. Niggas used to be outside throwing, "Hey, I got a paper. I got a roll of toilet tissue. What up?" Like, I missed those days. I drove around. I was driving around. Jersey is different. Went through New York. These niggas is standing outside, regular, hustling on the block. They ain't doing shit for Halloween. It don't feel the same.
Energy different.
I think that's a New York thing.
I said Jersey is different. I was I was driving around.
No, you live in the suburbs. So they spend nights at your suburbs.
Them niggas shut shit down out here.
Safe out of Irvington, it's still the same.
You know what I mean?
Them niggas shut shit down out here. 5:00 p.m.
It gets spooky. It's a motherfucker.
Oh, no. It's zombies and shit walking around out there.
Real life.
Real life.
Not just a Saturday, right?
Rules.
I wanted to meet them.
No, you didn't.
No, you didn't.
No, you didn't.
I talked to the people. I'm the man.
You don't want to meet the zombies.
You ain't done that in Jersey yet. You done that in every hood all over the world. Haiti, everywhere. You done. You gone.
Y'all want to go to the roughest, toughest spots and meet the fucking thugs.
You been to the dope deal in McDonald's. You been everywhere.
Chinatown.
Yeah. He been to underground tunnels in Chinatown. You won't go to them Jersey hoods. I tell you that, motherfucker.
I love Jersey.
They ain't going to play.
It's going to be different.
They're not going to play. And when I get the call, depending on how much the ransom is, depending on when I get the call, yo, we got your man tied up.
Yeah, we know. We know.
We have it in my pocket.
I heard.
Wait, which man? Who is it? Flip?
What he did?
Anyway, it's good to see everybody.
I went to I went to Tiana Taylor's Halloween party. Oh, no. She showed up.
Saturday night, huh?
Okay, you got it.
Tiana La La.
What'd you wear?
Us, we took the kids, huh?
I was hoping my fiance wouldn't be here during the segment.
Huh?
You dressed up.
What'd you say?
You dressed up.
I had the same green mask the the from last year that I I put that on. I had a black suit that I just picked up that day. Firstly tailored. And it looked like it looked like something.
Okay. Okay.
It looked like something.
It looked like something.
Saturday night, we get out. It's me, my baby. It's the it's it's the kids. It's the kids' best friend. It's family squad deep. And we leave the peacefulness of New Jersey and go to New York.
I know. It was Mayhem up there.
Which is in Manhattan.
Delinquency and fucking but boy, it's fun to just people watch in traffic.
Yeah.
Wherever we was going to the party was at Beauty and Essex. So that's down there by old Kiazzo. You know where it is.
Fucking so to to traffic, they was detouring everybody to the FDR back to it was an absolute so we was in that car for about an hour, but the last 10 minutes of the ride, watching the crazies in New York, I'm feeling inspired. I put the mask on in the car. Let's get it. Now I'm rolling the window down. But wasn't nobody fucking with me. Wasn't nobody like to Flip point back in the day, you got your mask on, you put your head out the window, it would be some interactions. It wasn't none of that.
Nobody know who the fuck you was.
Bro, on this Halloween.
So we don't that's not what New York is. No, New York, that's not what New York is supposed to be.
You're yelling out the window.
New York is togetherness when it's not supposed to be.
Yeah, exactly.
Holidays, uh, chaos, emergencies.
It was like that in Queens. Both both nights. We were out Friday.
Queens gives that. But I'm talking about in Manhattan. Like when they doing they gay thriller shit down there, then down Christopher Street that they work on, they work on that. So it's a big deal. So anyway, I put my huh?
That's just how they did it.
Yeah.
He choreographed.
Mark you too much of a fucking ally to the LGBTIA community for you to only make fun of the gays. Because if it was it's trans people there too. Does that change your position?
No.
It wasn't just gays.
Oh, really?
It was transgender people down there too.
You walk?
Yeah, he was down there.
I just like to choreo.
Anyway, I put my mask on the last 10 minutes. I keep it on thinking I'm in the spirit of things. And I walk up to the party. I get there on time because Tiana say that this is going to be madness and the fire department might shut it down if it gets too out of control.
Sure.
So I get there and we walk up and I ain't been outside in so long and I ain't been to like a club in so long that I heard a line that I never liked to hear and it really bothered me. It bothered me even after the event. After the event when I got home, it bothered me that I heard this line.
What's the line?
Get to the back of the line.
Ah, shit.
Oh. Oh.
Is that a you?
No one likes to hear.
Yes.
Yeah, Jamasko.
Celebrity purpose.
Yes.
Was out.
Oh, well, nigga, if you're the mask on, you can't get mad.
Not how that works.
That's not how that works.
How's supposed to know what you're doing?
That's not that's not that's not how that works, big dog. So there is a line to the left.
Okay.
And a line to the right.
Okay.
And in the middle, not the longest, but it ain't moving. They clearly not letting people in. And in the middle, there's the people that think they important. So they try to talk to the people and security to send them all the way. Y'all get the fuck out of here. So all that's left standing is me and my family. And I say, "Hey, man. Hey."
That's your cool voice.
And he says he says like New York security. Yo, get get to the back of the line. Yo, the club ain't open yet. If you hear, yo, you nigga put his thumb on my mask. You nigga back of the line.
Oh, not do that.
No, of course he didn't do that.
I'll get me hyped.
I said, "Hey, man. Hey. Hey. Hey. Are y'all not open?" And they said, "Yeah, no, we not open to the back of the line." And I said, "Okay. Okay. Okay." I said, "Hey, is this party open to the public?" And he said, "I don't know about all that, but you got to get to the back back of the line. Clear the whole front. Clear the whole front." And I say, "Okay, let's try this a different way. Where do the where do where do the celebrities go?"
What he say?
And he said, "To the back of the line. We not open. Everybody get to the back to the back of the line." And I said, "Okay, we'll try this a different way." I FaceTimed Tiana.
She's not there.
Who is a woman. She is there.
Oh, she is there.
She's there. The people that play in the holiday spirit, like the Halloween spirit, her and Tiana and Heidi Klum probably have the same process on Halloween. Like they go makeup big. So they there getting all the hair and makeup she done. I FaceTimed. Oh, and she was in a bad mood.
Oh.
And she barked on them people. I felt like such a bitch doing this.
That's a question.
Yo, why don't you just take your mask off?
Why you don't just take your mask off, Joe?
No.
So how you ain't even say who you was.
Yo, just the sound of my voice is a hit ice.
Wow.
Ice. Just the sound of my voice.
Just the sound of my voice is a hit.
Well, they didn't hit a hit.
You should have used a law and order voice.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
This could be from me.
That's funny, yo. But anyway, she barked to them and let us in. It seemed like everybody was there. I wouldn't have known because I didn't move from my table and my section. But everybody was there having a time. They had she had the dancers, the star some of the starless dancers in there. Uh, so like uh they mocked the strip club for the middle. So everybody's just dancing and they had singles. You can go get singles.
Oh, shit.
You can go get singles. And if you bought a section and it came with singles. So I had a section. So I went to go get some singles. And the kids is with me now. So they think that Daddy Warbucks is here. So we about to just throw a whole bunch of money. So I go up there.
Get more.
And I'm trying to get some more money. And there's some other people over there trying to get some money too. And I guess they was having a tough time with the communication. It's loud in there or whatever. So I just walked up there and Tiana had two stacks and she put them in my chest. But then Ty Lill, the streamer, was there, I guess, trying to get his money and he didn't get his yet. So he was just had his hands on mine on I'm holding money.
You're wrestling for the wall.
I'm holding money. And he got his hand on the money that I'm holding talking to somebody. Yo, this is my money. This is my money. This is my money. And I say, "Stay here, bro. There's more money. You know, it's okay. You don't have to act like this."
This all sounds like perfectly today.
It's Ty Lill. It's big dog. It's not how that went.
No.
No.
How you think it went?
We know how it went.
We know how it went.
How you think how it go?
No problem, sir.
I ain't got no I'm taking it.
Run that.
I got it. Run that. Yeah, they hang a lot. They playing with you.
They are.
But they don't see me outside.
You looking shaky out here.
They don't they don't they don't see me.
Do you niggas got you looking shaky?
They don't see me outside. They can't have me looking shaky.
Anyway, grabbed your bread. That's what they say.
Took your shit. Shout out to Ty Lill.
Did you make it past the uh daylight savings time uh reset?
Hell no.
Hell no.
No, no, no. I got out of there. I got out of there at about 1:30 because once the dances start coming out, you're like, "I know these bitches."
In a good way, by the way.
And I took my singles home.
Oh, shit.
I gave the kids some singles and walked right out of there with a with a bag of singles.
I'm surprised the kids didn't blow it all.
Nah, I ain't getting more on that money. No, no. I gave them niggas 2 grand and went on about that's a lot. It should be enough when you're 19. God damn it. Anyway, shout out to Tiana, everybody that was at that party. Good times, good vibes. Think I seen Mano and Fab and I see Emily B too. Awkward. Everybody was up in that motherfucker. You got to be careful in these New York parties.
Yeah, that is true.
New York parties.
Especially like Tiana.
Be careful.
Tiana throwing it. They gonna come but you gonna bring them out.
Yeah, but everybody was there. I don't even my girl told me everybody was there. I ain't see nobody. Didn't pay attention to nobody. But real good time.
You ain't take your mask off.
Real good time. Yeah. Yeah. From that point on, I didn't like how well no, I wanted to be treated like I wanted perks. And I guess we are about to have that. We about to have we about to have this but I wanted I wanted celebrity perks. Yes. Like I worked for them.
I worked hard for this.
I worked too hard. I hurt them.
That was our point.
I hurt them.
That was our point.
Yeah. Huh?
That was our point.
Should take that mask. I didn't like how that felt. So for the rest of the night, it was mask off. Never saw the mask again.
You'd rather be a snitch and just take your mask off.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. What does that do for how you look at me?
It tracks.
It didn't change a thing.
You don't wait to the back of the line. You know how you do. You go through the kitchen, nigga. So you I'm not going to say all that.
Well, you don't celebrate Halloween.
But I wanted to argue with the dude instead of just pulling out off my mask.
Man, you pulled it off.
The man's doing his job.
True. True.
And everybody think they Yeah. But if you pull the mask off and then he still sells you to get to the back of the line. Now you make the call. Now you make the call.
Nah, you look crazy if that happened. I didn't even think of that option. Holy shit. You just take your mask off and you get back to the back of the line. You to the back of the line. Pump, pump, pump. Pump your ass to the back of the line. Focus and walk your ass to the back.
No, then then you tell them come and take a walk with me and you go to the back.
Yeah. Word. Hold your button. Damn it. You're doing doing do your ass to the back of the line. Oh, fun times on Halloween. I was in bed the whole next day because that one daylight savings time hour my ass.
I was 5:00 in the morning this morning for no fucking reason.
Woke my ass. Now I do love it looking pitch black around 5:00 p.m.
Not me.
That's that shit happen too fast.
I live on the water.
So it looks like you see the sky purple.
The extra hour where it would have been the same sky.
Don't do that, Mark, because I wasn't doing that.
Yes, you was.
Yes, you was, nigga.
That's cool.
I live out there, nigga.
Right.
That's cool. Anyway. Yeah. Uh, but I'm well rested. I'm well rested. Ready to rock. Ready to rock. Ready to rumble. Ready to react to things. Come take what you got for us. We got takes galore for you today.
So many takes.
Takes galore for you today. Yo, yo, yo. Shout out to everybody in that clipper program and it's been watching on the back end. Hey, don't do that. Hey, hey, yo. He fake. And and Savan have been watching and monitoring things in the back end. Lot of views. Y'all are racking up out there. And it's only been a few days. We starting this count from the first. So congratulations to everybody out there. Keep that up, man. Salute to all the people out there. Some of them cheating the system. Just keep your eye on that. I ain't no snitch. I ain't going to say who.
How? What's what's the cheat? What's the cheat? You see it's a seven day hold on Patreons. Oh. Oh, yeah. I saw it. I saw it. Yeah. You just snitch. I saw it. I don't know if I can do it. We saw it. We saw it. We saw it. We saw it. You know, I wouldn't you can't sneak nothing by Savan in. Can't sneak nothing by Savan in. We seen it. They are. They are actually. You wouldn't have at it. Never.
I'm not ratting.
You would have.
Just ask some questions. I'm asking, can we all do it? I thought the answer I thought you were going to say, "Yeah, we could all do it."
Hell no.
You got to shut it down.
If I can't do it, nobody can do it.
I want pepper jack. All right. All right. All right. We are leading off with two chains versus Keith Lee. It was a rough weekend for uh food influencers out there or a great weekend depending on how you look at things. Depending on how you look at it. Let's get right to it. You know what I'm saying? As far as like what you do, it's it's your thing. You get right to it. We don't waste no time. Today is the day where you can actually create who you are, create a job, create revenue, create ways to take care of your family.
So, I can never take that away. Um, obviously, you've been to a couple of my restaurants. Whether whether the response was good or bad. Which restaurants? I don't even I don't even It don't matter. Okay. I just I don't I don't I don't Esco. I own Esco. Down the street. Esco is down the street. I own uh Candy Land. Ain't that right, Kirk? I think so. Yeah. Candy Land. We got food up there. Go try that and have a Yo, this clip this clip to me is hilarious for so many reasons. It really is. Like I I have it in here cuz this clip is eight minutes long.
I have the shorter more condensed version. I just think it's important for y'all to hear how two chains led. Okay. Like his whole yo it's not a big deal. It's not a big thing. I understand how y'all get your mind. I do think that's important. Even him saying hey Kirk ain't that right and Kirk not being sure is hilarious to me. Ain't that right, Kirk? I don't own that down the street. Well, if you said it, sure fuck it. In pieces for right Kirk. Right Kirk. Uh more than that when you're carpenter. But anyway, I saw you do my restaurant.
I saw you do other people's restaurants and I really can't judge it because it's your opinion. You know what I'm saying? It's not it's like your. Also, let me pause it real quick because it uh it's come out that uh it was a whole different food reviewer that interviewed the restaurant that he's talking about. And I feel like had he not just been like, "Yo, it don't matter," then they could have got to that. They could have got to, "Yo, that wasn't that wasn't me, the one you're talking about." Yeah. But anyway.
Face buzz. It's your opinion. It's I kind of leave with that. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? And then like whatever people are engaged in, that's them. Now we got, you know, streaming. That's the biggest like I don't know if he's still doing the food reviews or whatnot, but I know streaming is just as big as what that was back then. And so to live in a time where people it's just really opinionbased and people do get obvious obvious attitudes up because it's like Atlanta is the city is really Wakanda, bro. You really being from Detroit, which is another city that I consider black DC of people out the city.
Atlanta is like the mecca of like people coming together like real like you'll meet somebody like this and y'all are open up a business and in three months it may do well or it may not do well. So just like consciously knowing that you are in an area where people are are trying like no one else. And I explain this when I go to Miami when I'm in New York like when we do these type of if we was in New York doing this facility we can already know that a black person ain't got nothing to do with it. If we was in if we was in LA in a no black person own a building in LA a black person don't own nothing no no commercial property in mind.
No. But down here I'm telling you I got three four properties downtown. Three four. You know what I mean? So a nigga come down here and front the east shit man. Oh my god. The stuff is just uh seasoning this just not you know what I'm saying? Nigga like who is buddy? Exactly. Who is buddy? I paused it right there. Who is buddy is hilarious. And he thought so far, gentlemen. It's an interesting setup for where he's going. That's all I'm saying. Know what I'm saying? Like nigga let me think on that. You set off your chest. It don't it's not bothering me. No, it's not.
I'm here for that. I'm swear I'm swear I'm not irritated. No, no, no, no. I'm here for that. So, I'm very pro black. I believe in advanced. Do y'all think that two chains is irritated at this point? Absolutely. I think two chains doesn't particularly love critics. He was irritated from the rip and I think he I think his um frustration didn't allow him to convey his thoughts in the most concise way cuz I get what he's trying to say but I think his his what's he trying to say? He's trying he's trying to say that in Atlanta and and I agree with him in Atlanta black people are opening up businesses and are entrepreneurial in a way that they are not anywhere else in the country, right?
So, New York got 20 million people. If you go to New York, you don't see black-owned businesses nowhere near at the rate that you see them in Atlanta. Especially um in Atlanta, shit is elaborate. Like you might see $70,000 chandeliers hanging down from the ceiling. And when you walk in there, typically in New York, that's some white-owned shit. In Atlanta, that's some black shit. And so you don't see that in most places in the United States. And so for you to be a critic and go into one of these establishments that's potentially black-owned and to shit on it, he finds it uh uh distasteful.
That's what I think he's trying to say. But again, his frustration didn't really allow him to convey it in a manner like that. And he's saying, "Yo, a lot of these businesses could be shut down in six months." Make a break. Yes, make a break. So, if you go in there and you're a respected critic and you and you shit on this restaurant, then it could have a a detrimental consequences to this this up-and-coming entrepreneur. But shouldn't that speak to if I own a restaurant trying to like a critic may come in here? So, maybe I should have great service, great food, things that if a critic comes in here, this would they would write a good review.
You have that option to do things where this will lead to a good review or you have that option to do things where this will lead to a not so favorable review. In fairness, if the if the review were to happen in the first six months of a restaurant being open and I'm not sure that's the case, there's a lot of kinks that got to get worked out in the first year of a restaurant in particular. Yeah. A restaurant business is a very very very hard business. It's tough. Black and brown people. So when it comes from the conversation of of customer service or when it comes from the conversation of food, not only do I come from a place of being a professional athlete and the only way that I was able to cut as much weight or be a professional to the level I was was how I focused on food.
So I was around food dieticians and and food scientists for years, right? Uh but I never come from the perspective of an expert or the perspective of a chef. I come from a perspective of somebody who is a consumer of black community that's a part of black community and somebody who wants the advancement of the black community. So my opinion has always been from that standpoint. It ain't been from, oh, the food got to be amazing. They got to be this and the third. But if I go in and we all know at this table, if you Mojo Brooks, you two chains, you Desi Banks, you Kirk, if you go in, you going to get a completely different experience than if my mama go in or if my wife go in or if anybody in the crowd go in because they not who other people think they are, right?
So I feel like from here specifically, the experience was completely different once my face was shown. I sent my mom-in-law into 10 different restaurants. She couldn't eat nowhere. She couldn't get no food. She couldn't get no service. She couldn't get no experience at all. I go in table ready right now. So, I think it's more or less from the people who watch us. I'm blessed enough to have people who going to jump on the plane. I'm blessed enough to have people that's going to come from a different country and say, "I want to try this food." I'm blessed enough to have people that's going to stand in the hours long line around the corner. We just threw our very first festival in New Orleans and over 20,000 people showed up.
So, it's like I take that serious and I don't ever want to put nobody in a situation that they get a different experience only because they not keep lead. So, it's this seems to be the crux of the argument. I didn't think this was the most concise back and forth, but this seems to be the part that got everybody. It was unfortunate. Oh, yeah. No, this is the part that got people up in arms. And I guess I'll play it and I'll pause it for it honestly come with that and me saying this is how our experience was. If I got to get the backlash for that, I'm okay with that. All right. So, two things that I got off that.
Two is I'm an entertainer and obviously we get perks that other people don't get. That's just that's just that's not even Atlanta. That's just period. My boy. I don't stand I go I got a greeter. I don't stand in line at the airport. I don't do none of that because I done worked my ass off to do this here, bro. So, to say like I'm supposed to wait 40 minutes to get that's bull. That's bullshit. I don't get Yeah. I paused it cuz this is where my confusion comes in. I'm not certain that two chains is picking up what Keith Lee is putting down. He's totally missed the point.
He missed the point. He missed it. I I think I think the better Keith Lee is saying yeah the celebrities are going to get different treatment but the people that I'm speaking to and my audience they are not celebrities. So I'm giving the experience that they going to receive especially when people are traveling and coming from out of the country to try a restaurant that I'm trying. We can't rely on hey this is such and such. So let's get him a table immediately. And later on in this which you'll hear Keith Lee says, "Well, what happens if all of that goes away?"
Which he probably should have said, "Well, what about the person that that doesn't apply to?" That's about it. That's about it. Cuz it didn't help two chains pick up what he was putting down. They were talking passage in Beverly Hills. They going to steal Mint Shum straight. You know what I'm saying? What happen if that go away? Yeah. That ain't going to It's been here before us, bro. It's been here. It's been here way before us. It's been here before us, bro. It's been here before. You can be a wrestler, nigga. Rick Flair coming to Waffle House. They going to make sure he eat before anybody. It's just what it is. And then secondly, your expertise being an athlete, being someone that's had um meal preps and dietary stuff like that, man.
Your expertise it supersedes anything that a normal person is just eating every day. You eating to cut weight. So, you automatically know what too much salt is, fried food is. You know what you need to be eating all cuz I I don't know if I look like it, but I eat right, too. You know what I'm saying? Like I eat right. I'm an athlete, too. And that that's the part where I mean, like, you know what? Two chains, you got to be dumb. Like in any part in the conversation where you got to start telling me that you an athlete and you eat right, too, then you ain't getting you ain't you ain't hearing what I'm saying. You just look at the point. It sounds you just sounding it ain't sounding the way it's supposed to sound.
And two chains is athlete. Like and he and he and he does eat right. I'm just talking about having to say it because somebody else said it. No, I don't think that's why he said it. I think he's saying it like, "Yo, you're an athlete and so you don't necessarily want to eat the fat back and the chitlins and all of the shit that these people are eating." So, if you are critiquing this stuff from an athlete's perspective, you might be like, "Yo, this is too salty or yo, this is too fatty or yo, this is too this." Whereas the average motherfucker in Atlanta don't care about that.
We looking to serve. I want big bag shit. I want Yeah. I want big bag shit. Which is a good point from two chains. Yes. Yeah. Now, then it comes to who's reviewing the food, which is a different conversation, which is the the partner conversation they didn't get to yet. But yeah, I agree. I mean, his relationship to food is going to be different. Yeah. I think that's interesting. You know what I'm saying? And so what you saying, even from what you saying that perspective is even more crazy because you know you're an athlete. You know what you got to eat. And I also don't love that because in too many videos, Keith Lee says, "This is my opinion from my taste buds, and be sure to go out and get your own experience and see how it tastes for yourself."
Like he does state that like rather often. That's one of them disclaimers that don't really count. That's true. You know what I mean? Like we all say shit like that. It's just my opinion. But we want we want people to believe our opinion. You know what I mean? And people believe celebrities when they say shit. Coming into restaurants where these restaurants are not made to it's not I mean it's not like you went to a vegan restaurant like oh man they done threw this in here this ain't going to help you cuz you going to restaurants where they got fat they making your back fat this is what they do this is for fat backs only so you can't go in there you can't go in there on some like I'm trained this this for fat backs you come here I'm trained my nigga y'all ain't got I only go to the place I'm invited so I never go anywhere unsolicited or un I don't know I don't know how I go I just I only go to place places that specifically say hey pull up now it's different right if I go in and I give my opinion and it's not the opinion you want to hear you invited me here you asked me to come give my opinion but then you get upset because my opinion not what you wanted to hear first of all an opinion that's this should stop there opinion period that's it that's an opinion I'm just saying because I'm just getting to know you that that your taste buds derive from a place of being an athlete and happening to stay at a certain level so cleared him here like man you got to go to sub Keith Lee cleared him with the but you don't eat meat and you did the complex show and you were judging Wagu.
Yeah. And he said I did that shit for a check. Yeah. That didn't that didn't help anything. That that that didn't help anything. I mean I I give with two chains. He's saying he said yeah I might have been a bad judge. He's saying I might have been a bad judge. I did it for the money. Not because I'm qualified. Yeah. I ain't qualified. He's conceding I wasn't qualified either. Yeah. Yeah. But if you can concede it to I just did it for money, then you can't say nothing to food reviewers cuz you can assume they also are doing it for money. Even though I don't think that is what where Keith Lee's core core values are.
That's what change. He's saying he's saying do it for your money. Like he's saying from get to make your money. But he's he's just trying to establish you're not qualified to assess this or it's detrimental to some other people that you could potentially be critiquing. We've heard enough of this to be able to fight out, right? Yeah. I think so. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I I again that was one of the conversations and we have these arguments up here sometime where we talking past each other. It's it's sometimes frustrating to hear two people talk and having two very different conversations and I'm like what the fuck are you and I think I think the conversation pivoted and I think it was a good conversation in the yo um cuz I think where change was headed was yo this could potentially be detrimental for people that look like us and I think the conversation got away from that.
I don't like that though. I don't like that because so now I'm supposed to look the other way and give a favorable opinion because you look like us or say nothing or say nothing. I'm supposed to ignore that and only review. So now I'm I'm I'm kind of not being true to what to what my audience my thinking. Yeah. My audience. I'm not being true to them because I'm not going to go review the places that look like us because if I give them a bad review that might hurt them. So I'll stay away from those and just go where it's okay to leave a bad review. I I mean it's it's a tough situation.
I mean if somebody invites you to their place of business for a review Mhm. then they I think they should accept what comes along with the review. Good or badly. I I agree. Um, did he start off like that? Like cuz I remember us talking about him years ago. Uhhuh. Did he start off invite only? I doubt it. I don't think so. Probably I don't think so because I remember some of the adversity before was based on it wasn't invite only. Now if it's invite only, he's gotten big enough to where yo a review from Keith Lee could help my business.
So now I'm inviting you in. Then that's one thing. You got to take what comes along with that. You get what I'm saying? Like you got to take what comes along with that because you asked me to come here. I mean even if you didn't ask to come here, if you're putting anything out, whether it's food, music, service, whatever it is to the public, you have to open yourself up to some level of review and critique. Yes. Our our whole fucking internet economy damn near revolves around critique. Let me see what I think. If we're looking for a vacuum cleaner, we're looking for the best vacuum cleaner with a review say. If we're looking for a restaurant, we're looking for four four five stars on Yelp or whatever.
Especially in service and hospitality. Yeah, absolutely. Like you can't be in service and hospitality and not expect expect a review from somewhere. And what I think is is kind of what with the celebrity aspect, these places think, "Okay, let me invite Keith Lee." Well, we know Keith Lee's coming. We're going to roll out the red carpet. Yep. What they didn't know is Keith Lee going to send somebody in there that's affiliated with him that y'all don't know. Exactly. It's like secret shopper type shit. Like because and and that person's going to get a real experience. You asked me to come here for the review. You don't know how I conduct my review. It ain't just me walking in here.
And a lot of places getting exposed for bad business. Or I'm not going to say bad business, but there are things that are being highlighted that they might not want the public to know. But that's on the business at the end of the day. I don't see him doing nothing wrong. Word of mouth is just part of owning a business. Any service business. Any service business. And it's frustrating sometimes. I remember I opened a when I opened my coffee shop, we we have above average coffee, but we do a specialty coffee. Like like we we have above average coffee, but if your only frame of reference for coffee is like is Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, you might say this doesn't taste like this or this is what a macchiato is.
That's not what y'all have Starbucks is poison with a macchiato is. It's it's entirely different thing. So so I might feel like two chains does like you don't actually know enough about this or your taste buds aren't tuned to know what good or bad is. But that's just but you got to ch you just got to charge it to the game because 99% of our reviews are excellent and I just have to accept that the person that goes on their Facebook page and makes a review that says ah the macchiato wasn't sweet. It's like you know I just got to say you don't fucking talk about that person. Okay cool. You didn't like it. That's your opinion. But it is frustrating. It's a it's a weighted critique though. Like because if you have a hundred people that go to Uncle Bobby's, right?
And a hundred people can give their opinions. If one person whose opinion is weighted way way way more heavily comes into Uncle Bobby's and now shits on a coffee, then that is a way way way different level of a critique than the other 99 people that just happen to be breathing through Uncle Bobby's. You understand what I'm saying? So so it's it's a little it's remember when you used to be on Twitter and still on Twitter. I mean but used to be active on Twitter. Ice at one point from what I hear cuz I wasn't ever on Twitter but I've heard this from mad people.
Ice had the ability to sway somebody's first week album sales. Wow. Right. So dog if a nigga puts out a project that's they money, that's they blood, that's they sweat, that's they tears going into this project. You don't know what I might have sacrificed for this particular project. So now if Ice gets in and say yo this shit is trash or says whatever right that person could feel a way about that critique. So for us to say yo dog um nigga you put a project out you you give and take what it comes with blah blah blah blah blah.
I think it's a little insensitive sometimes and I think sometimes especially in the restaurant business I could have had two people call out today and you just so happen to come in on a day that two people called out. Now your service might have been been as quick as we typically are. It's just a lot of variables that come along. The ones that don't like to to be critiqued are the biggest critics. So that's it's just what side of the coin you stand on. I see where you going with your with your Ice example. I just don't love the example. I'm Yeah. I was just off the cuff. We can use us as an example when we review music up here and we've pissed people off.
Like right. No, no, no. Great. I don't like the music example in a service and hospitality conversation because music is so subjective. You could poll a hundred different people and get a hundred different answers. That's true. But I got a good one. And service and hospitality where people are just coming to eat. Yeah. Like or get a massage or get whatever in the service industry get they roof done. I don't I don't think it takes so much to be able to recognize bad service.
I don't think you need to be really an expert to recognize bad service. And I I think I think that's uh across the board here in America. Anyway, you go somewhere, you waiting too long, if if if if uh the place is not so not so full and it's taking a while for the food to come, if they're not coming to check on you or if you can't get a table period, which it's not my business to speak on Atlanta restaurant shit, but the word has been going around for quite some time about Atlanta restaurants and how you can't get a table and how it's $50 valet to fucking park and how it's hookah smoke in there while niggas are trying to eat French toasts and y'all got a DJ for breakfast and it's a party in a club.
That word has been there for years now and maybe that's the culture that y'all wanted to curate. But when people just coming to get a meal. But is that fair to hold them if that is the vibe in Atlanta and that is the vibe at two chains restaurant? Is it fair to critique them if that's the norm there? That's the culture. You know what I'm saying? That was happening. That particular place is not for you. If you don't want hookah around your motherfucking French toast, you leave. Don't go to where it's hookah around your fish. But again, if I'm a critic and I'm invited, I'm going there. If I'm a critic and I'm not invited.
If I'm not invited and I just go to restaurants and I sit there and it's hookah smoke being blown in my face, I'm going to my yelp and I'm saying something about that. I'm going to platform the whole shit. Y'all. And what I notice is again difference between music and music and uh service and hospitality. In in service hospitality, your celebrity will almost certainly act in reverse because and I've seen I very rarely have seen a celebrity open a restaurant and got good reviews. They killed Patty the Bell restaurant.
They killed fucking who that other that's why they hot, but I'm just talking about older. They was killing uh not Patty the Bell fucking is another one. It's another one. But anyway, they who had the fucking waffle house, the French toast. It was one of not Patty the Bell. Was it Gladys? Gladys. Gladys night. I ate there. Yeah, it was terrible. I ate there too. Bad experience. The food was I had a bad experience. I ate there too. It wasn't as bad as what I was seeing. But if you're a celebrity and people are coming here, the expectation is almost even higher. It is. And they think that you got to post on each department of this restaurant.
And they but they probably don't. That's why I like they definitely don't. They definitely don't. They hide their ownership. Like even Jeezy Jeezy said he opened a steakhouse in Atlanta and he said the shit was popping until the people found out that it was his steakhouse and there goes the neighborhood. You know what I'm saying? And so a lot of people will hide that shit and not let people know that they even have a part in it for that very reason. Yeah, I I would hide it. But also if I'm a celebrity, I'm going to make sure that the one part my business or restaurant don't fail in is service hospitality.
Yeah. Just be kind. Yeah. Yep. Like and like where where I'm from, if you do all the little things right, it goes a super long. Kind of go past the food. Yo. Greet people at the door. Make sure people are seated within a decent amount of time. Fucking I'll give you example. Flip. Remember the place? The restaurant. Yeah. Yo. Oh, the special chicken nugget spot. Y'all is stupid. But nah, I went I went to a spot had reservations the whole nine. Worst service I ever experienced. And I came in here out of respect. I wanted to air them the fuck out just because even just going fuck I didn't expect nothing no special treatment.
I got bottom treatment in a in a spot. You know what I'm saying? So I'm like oh that was crazy. Oh shit. I'm okay. I'm okay. They heard about you. You know what? They like they heard about your preferences. They like showing out. Also where I don't like just like oh go ahead. But yeah but but um you make a call everything change because you you know what I'm saying? Oh yeah. And when it's that celebrity shit shouldn't change nothing though. True.
If you open I don't say it shouldn't change nothing. I don't go that far. Oh no. When I say it shouldn't change nothing, your regular walk-in customer should not be treated less than. Yes, that's true. No matter what. Yeah, you give your celebrities preferential treatment. Cool. But your regular customers don't get treated. Should get should get first the baseline standard should be good. Should be but celebrities and not even you don't have to be a celebrity regulars or local politicians or someone who's just popular in the neighborhood. It's always like that's that's what James was trying to say.
He didn't take it too far. He didn't take it too far. But the point you know why he said you know why celebrities get that treatment? Cuz y'all got a network. We don't want you to shit on us. Y'all probably have a voice, a platform, all these things. We want you to have a great experience here. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah. So now you don't know. Keep I want you to spread the word. Yeah. I want you to spread the word. When your people are in town, yo, I got the spot to take you to. It's great over here. They don't bother you. You out. They out the way. We cool. Let's go over here. And I'm I'm I'm okay with that. And it's a couple things. One, I agree with you that music is different, but sometimes these food reviews go past service and hospitality.
They go into the actual food itself. And that's where it does become subjective. Like, you know, like you say, like these wings are too salty or, you know, this soup wasn't. And at that point, you just have to trust you. You have to begin to trust the critic. It's just like with music critics. There's certain music critics. When they say an album is good or bad, I don't listen to them cuz I don't care what they think. I don't care about this website says this person. I'm okay with I'm okay with all of that. I think as a critic, one thing to think about is I I know with me, like if a if an album comes out back when I used to do music a long time ago, like when music would come out, if it was a big album, you had to review.
If Jay-Z comes out, you got to say something about it no matter what. But if it's an artist who I don't know as well and the album is ass, I just don't say anything. Same. Same. If it's good, I'll promote it. Small business. If it's a good small business, to Isha's point, if it's a good small business, I'll say this is the best food I ever had. If it's the worst food I ever had, I I may not say anything about it. But again, the celebrity restaurant, everybody's talking about it. That's part of the that's part of the job. And so if you're two chains, you got to expect. But they didn't even know it was his. He's saying niggas didn't even know it was his. But then it even came out later that Keith Leven never even reviewed or critiqued.
Yeah, that was Mr. Chime time. Shout out to him. It was another guy. But but um oh, he was mad at Keith Leven. It wasn't even him. Yes. Or just appears to be the case. I mean, I think that the the the sentiment still remains the same about who the critic critics in general. I feel like other people have criticized um Keith too for shit under Yeah. I thought so. We talked about other people. Yeah. My other thing with with if there's an expectation on me as a black man to have grace for black owned for certain things in the black with a black owned business, then I expect reciprocity when it comes to that.
Like when you see a black person walk in. Yeah, nigga. Yeah. You know, we feel like that when you see me walk in. We feel like that in New York in Atlanta. Atlanta. Everybody's black. Marj said it. When you walk in, everybody see New York is it's just different cultures. Like you go to DC, you go to Atlanta, you go to New York, it's just a different culture. In Atlanta, everybody's black. So, preferential treatment is just going to be the bar to what Ice is saying that the typical hospitality and service should just be good. See, that's more the reason for me. I'm not disagreeing, but I'm not disagreeing with you.
That's even more the reason. It's a all black spot. It should just be all black city. All black and all people. Yeah. It should just be good. What's the debate? We looking out for us now. I didn't love how two chains explained uh you good? Not for real. You want some water? Okay. Give some make a tea. Yo. And I seen that happen in that movie of Philadelphia. Yo. Oh my god. What's wrong with you? Yo. Holy yo. What you said?
What's wrong with you? You said the House of Virginia. House of Virginia. I'm saying that in Philadelphia. Shit out of you, nigga. He couldn't complete the case. Like sometimes he was past the House of Virginia. And what a great movie. Philadelphia. Amazing. Then what was I about to say before you started coughing? You didn't like the way two chains explained. I didn't like how he explained celebrity perks. Thank you. I didn't love it. It wasn't great. I didn't. And I think that's the part that the internet is on his ass about. It should be. Which I don't disagree with what he was saying about it.
I just disagree with how he presented it. How he presented it and how he perceives it and how he perceives it. His tonality. It's just he he spoke he he spoke. I'm not saying he believes this cuz two chains is a friend of the show and I know him to be a super cool dude. We we love him. I don't know if he believes this. He came off like that behavior is to be expected. What behavior though? Perks. Perks for any perks for celebrities. Any special preferential treatment. If you're a celebrity, that behavior should be expected because that comes with the life.
And many celebrities probably feel like that. You feel like no, I'm on the total opposite. Just said that about the line. You feel like no, let's talk about it. Let's talk about let's talk about what happened as a celebrity. I could have called in, let them know I was coming, had them roll out the red carpet. I could have shown my face. I could have thrown a fit. I didn't do none of that. Show Tiana's face. I don't do that. Okay. I don't do that. I don't throw my celebrity around. You guys cut. This is just a fact. Tiana though is a I don't throw my celebrity around. That's true. Like that's a fact and niggas ask Joe Fizz ID.
I've heard Joe tell a nigga, "Nigga, my face is the ID card." But that's true. It's I actually understand that cuz there's nothing more frustrating than a bouncer stopping you, telling you they love your work, telling they big fans and asking for your money. No, no, I'm just saying that's the that's the time when I do it. That's the time when I do it. I I don't say no, but I'd be irritated to the motherfucker. Somebody knows who you are and still ask for the ID. I'm saying is cuz I'm not 20. It should it should you should not feel entitled to other people treating you a certain way because you're a celebrity. That should that should be a perk, a bonus, an additive enough of it turns into entitlement.
And when that happens and that's a mistake, but when that happens consistently, it becomes your norm. That's entitlement. Now we're still not entitled to that. You're not looking at it as entitlement. You just just think as comes with cuz if that's the case, you should have went to the back of the line. You get what I'm saying? Like no, hear me out. Don't get frustrated. We have a conversation. If you're not entitled to this perk, then when the dude said go to the back of the line, you should have gone to the back of the line. No, that's not what I'm on because I work my ass off to two chains' point. And you just reiterated that before we even opened up the clip.
Nigga, I work my ass off to come to this middle line and have me and my family go in without going to the line. That's a perk that celebrity isn't bridged. And that's what I don't like. That's what I didn't go to a show because they left your ticket in my name and you was like, "No, I'm not going because I'm Joe Button. My ticket should never be." I thought that was Joe. No, he was that serious. Oh, but again, I think that speaks to my point. I'm not if I'm not going to be treated a certain way somewhere, I'll stay home. I'm not coming out to make sure that y'all treat me a certain way.
You don't think they were wrong. You just didn't want that experience. I I I there is a difference. Okay. I'm listening. There is a difference. If you're outraged like I they they were wrong for how they treated me. That's entitlement. Saying I want to get to that middle door and if they don't let me in the middle door, cool, it's your party, but I'm leaving. That's not entitlement to me. That's preference. It's still entitlement. It's just how you act afterwards. I don't think it's not entitlement at all. Entitlement would be if you make a stink about it. If you just choose not to participate, then that's not the expectation is the entitlement.
What do you mean? What is what is you leaving? Let me look up the word based on not getting what I expected. Yeah. Which is I don't feel entitled to it. I don't feel like you owe it to me. I feel like this is what I want. This is what I deserve. This is what I prefer. And if I don't get it, then I leave. Yeah. I don't think I'm Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean even of entitlement. Okay. Maybe it's entitlement, but it's not like a negative entitlement. You two are saying like I don't believe it's entitlement, but I'm saying entitlement. But you are two are definitely saying two different things. There's a nuance here, right? Some people are like, "How dare you treat me this way?
I'm I'm not leaving until I get in this motherfucker." Other people are like, "Yeah, it's not." But that's not what I thought Chain's point was. I didn't hear Chain say, "How dare you?" I thought Chain was saying, "Yo, fam, since the beginning of time, superstar." Fuck him. He wasn't even talking since the beginning of time. Yo, Marlon Brando goes somewhere, he's getting in. Frank Sinatra goes somewhere, he's getting in. Fucking Brad Pitt or Angelina or fucking or Michael Jordan. Tweety Bird off the wall. Michael Jordan's getting in. And I'm and if it's if it's that, I'm good with it.
What I heard him say was the idea of feeling like he's owed it. And I think he used the word owed. That's the part that makes that's the part I take issue with. I didn't I didn't get that from him. I think he literally said that. I didn't get that's what I got from him. And he didn't and he didn't say he didn't speak to what happens if Rick Flair is not seated immediately when he goes in the Waffle House because that is what he was implying. Like if you don't treat me a certain way, then fuck y'all is up and I'm outraged about it cuz I'm a celebrity and you should treat me a certain way. Y'all, I don't act nowhere near. I'm surprised y'all two don't you don't you don't do the outrage part, but you will leave.
I don't go nowhere. You guys are outraged. It's not outrage taking it to it's not outrage. It's still going above and beyond what the person that would have had to go to the back of the line would do. But here's why I see it different. I I get your point. I get your point. But but here's how I see it different. There is a system at this party. The party the system is celebrities getting this door. Yeah. He wasn't asking for something that they weren't giving. He was I don't I don't use the word frustrated. He was trying to make it clear that he was among the people who deserve this thing without showing his face.
That part I that part's nuts. But I'm with you on that. But I think that part's nuts. I thought he's had I took that as tongue in cheek. But regardless, like take that part aside cuz that's not my point. I'm saying that if the restaurant has a celebrity entrance, I want to go through it. If there's a line, I'm not saying me, I'm saying me is two chains. If there's a line and there is no celebrity entrance, I can either I'll either wait or or I'll go home. I'm not I'm not going to expect you to make a line for me. What do you expect though on the walkup? What do you expect?
If you know the restaurant has a celebrity, I expect to be I expect to be I expect to be through the celebrity line. That's the entitlement right there. Now what you do afterwards? See, I don't think that's entitlement. The definition of entitlement is a belief. Excuse me. I mean other ones, but this is the one that applies. That's belief that one is deserving of or entitled to certain privileges. So for that is the privilege of going through this door. Expect. So if you are expecting this, that speaks to your entitlement. But based on what they're offering. That's why I'm making the distinction. I'm saying if if I just walk to a restaurant and y'all ain't got no celebrity section, I'm not asking you to do gym pop.
I'm not saying that. I'm saying if there is one and I am clearly one of those things, I want that thing. But if you don't have it, I leave. Yeah. I also think the definition that you gave is different from how it's colloquially. Yeah. That's how that's what I'm saying. That's how sometimes y'all are clear. Yeah. That's what I'm like. Okay. Usually entitlement the way that we're using it is I'm putting up a stink if I don't get my character thing like you you have a sense of entitlement like you think you owe this like like you think like it's a bratty kind of almost like you know what I'm saying like that's what you say you speaking to the actions taken after you don't get what you want or even how you see it I want I want more to me and I want us to believe see more but to me it's like I want more than what even what y'all given because of who I am and to me if they already given it that's not a super big deal but there was another thing he said that I didn't like before we before we go to break he said I work too hard.
That's the part to me that I find frustrating to everyday people who work hard. Yeah. He forget the restaurant cuz to me the best argument for seating celebrities is and giving them uh special entrances is that it creates a it's a mess if you don't you don't want Kanye West standing in line at your restaurant with 10,000 people standing. I mean there's a million reasons to let somebody through a security entrance at an airport that are good reasons. Mhm. Or just to get them through quickly. Yeah. Now now sometimes I feel differently about this. Sometimes I feel like look if I got to stand in line and take 50,000 pictures and I'm going to also promote this thing then goddamn it.
Yeah. Let me sit down. Right. That feels like a fair quid pro quo whoever the person is. But my frustration is when you make it sound as if you've your hard work has earned you this airport thing when the person waiting in line might have saved three lives as a surgeon. Right. You know what I mean? That person might work might be digging ditches at home. I think he's saying I work too hard to get to this point. So, so whatever it is, whether I be an entertainer or athlete, the work I put in to get here, I get it. But specifically to get me here though, that's the part that I work too hard to become a hard work too hard to become a celebrity to gain the perks.
Yeah. I I I the shit that comes with being a celebrity. I work too hard to become a celebrity to not get these things. That's always the part that's going to rub people the wrong way. I'm telling that's what's rubbing people the wrong way. You don't cuz you said I'm not trying to bring you back, but Joe just said that when he gave the story to going to Tiana's party. Joe said, "Yo, I worked too hard for this." I think that was that was the joke. That was a call forward to the joke. But dog, I I just I'm agreeing with you. I'm just saying along with celebrity comes perks and and that's across any celebrity.
Ronaldo goes somewhere, my nigga, he's not waiting outside. Again, to local, it could be that's local police officers go in a Dunkin Donuts, they get moved to the front of town. Yes. So I just school football comes along. It just comes along with that level of of notoriety. I think celebrities should get perks. I also think that you're not better than nobody cuz you get a fucking perk. You don't necessarily work harder than nobody because you get a perk. You running around with the attitude, posture, and verbiage of somebody that gets more, deserves more, and should have more.
You come on for I'm not talking about two chains now. I'm saying period. Yeah. I'm with you. This is me talking. I think it's going right into the funniest shit on the planet. It's the funniest shit. I just don't feel like arguing with you. It's the funniest shit on the planet. Dude. Hilarious. Yeah. I'm not never going to be against celebs getting perks. Y'all know I'm I'm into that shit. But you ain't better than nobody, nigga. It don't make you better. No. No. Hell. Hell no. What's the best celebrity perk you ever got? That I've ever gotten? I couldn't even I couldn't I couldn't say.
I'm too blessed. That's the problem with celebrities, yo. You when you speak, you got to remember just how blessed you are. And when you start sounding like you forgot that amongst other people, you come off nuts. There's no way around it. Like you hear some of the basketball players in recent years say now when the reporters ask them about pressure, they be like, "Well, Mark just said the person that's doing brain surgery is on is under pressure. The person that the fireman has to run into the burning buildings on pressure.
I play basketball, yo. I play a game that I love. I would play regardless. I'm blessed to be free. I'm not none of nothing about this is pressure. When you start losing sight of the the blessing that the privileges come with or the blessing it is, then you lost. And and again, I I think that that that argument clip, all that shit, neither side really got their points off the clearest or they were talking past each other to your point. So, I want to give some grace to chains in that. I do as well. Keep leave for me is tough to hate.
Word. Super like. I've heard I've heard from people that know him personally that he's just an amazing person. Like nigga said, yo, he's just an amazing person. And then to his point, cuz I ain't really I stood more on the two chain side, but people said personally, he's just an amazing dude. He gives back to the black community overwhelmingly. And so again, you want to shout that out too, even for people that don't know about it. It's just dope. I heard he's just a good dude. I just like how he speaks. I like how he words himself. I like I like how his thought process works. I mean, he does come off socially awkward to me.
I'm saying that as a socially awkward person, like watching it. I even love that. I love him being out and having the talks. This interview was great. It was. Yeah. There's a lot of other great shit in the interview, too. Like, it's a shame that this is kind of Keith Lee was talking about all of the Kirk Franklin joints, some mental health stuff in there. I love Kirk Franklin coming back and letting two chains know that you were indeed sensitive, my boy. It was it was it was sensitive. Ain't nothing wrong with it. Which leads me to another point. I don't think most of these celebrities know that they sensitive. Oh, facts.
They don't. That's part of the entitlement. People don't know that they sensitive. Yeah, that part, too. Yeah. Yeah. You saying, but I'm not talking about people. I'm just saying it ain't just celebrity. That's more highlighted with a celebrity. Obviously, people. People. Yes. But I'm speaking about celebrities because there's so much more for them to be sensitive to when you talk about the volume of comments and more people can see it. Yep. Like as a celebrity, your words, your your posts online, your fucking reactions to shit online is under a microscope cuz everyone's everything everything want people to recalibrate.
I'm sorry. You just want people to celebrate you and then that's that's what I'm about to say. You you got to recalibrate. Exactly. When you get criticized, it it it hits differently. The smallest criticism feels like the biggest disrespect cuz you're used to everybody loving you and telling you you're amazing. Really? Like who would ever think that two chains is sensitive? Sensitive. But I'm I don't think I am sensitive. No. No, man. You've been sensitive at this table. Really? You've been sensitive at this table. You've been very in tune with your like you've been like and it's been powerful. Yeah, man. But the funny part is I might don't know that that you ain't no cry baby.
You know what the funny part is? No, we ain't saying now. Now I feel like you try Kirk Franklin was Kirk Franklin was saluting him and complimenting him. Yeah. And because in our community sensitivity has been bashed, he immediately said no. He got defensive. I ain't sensitive. Right. No, nigga. It's okay to be a sensitive person. We should all be sensitive. It gives us some fucking empathy for other people. You understand what I'm saying? Or how somebody could potentially be feeling. He immediately rejected it like nah.
You're not sensitive. You hardened. And why are you hardened? Like what did what did you go through to make you lose your we born with that stuff. You know. Go ahead. Yeah. Yo, I'll knock you out, nigga. You doing that? None about that. Yo, for the people that believe that because you have a black business, I should support all black businesses. How are you able? What's your way to critique them? How would you critique them? Me personally? You personally? You said what? Me personally? I just they can't get no more of my money. So you're not going to let them know that this may be bad.
This may not taste good. I wouldn't publicly do it. But you wouldn't do it privately neither. Yeah, I could. Would you publicly do it? So you'll go to the chef. I went to a restaurant, a a hood soul food restaurant uh a few years now, maybe five years ago in Philly. Um and it was the worst service I've ever had. The woman was downright disrespectful. I found an owner, black woman, told her the whole experience. She blew me off. It's I just stopped going to the restaurant. I wouldn't go you. But I I I gave it every opportunity I could. 1000% for them to fix it. Okay. 1000%. If I don't like and I love that food.
If you if you if I don't like your food if if I don't again cuz now in a service business it opens it up. If you a dry cleaners, nigga, if you a plumber, if you are whatever the case may be and I don't like something about you and I spent my money there, I'm going to let you know. I just I feel like when we when we're talking to the youth and I feel like there's a lot of misleading meaning that when two chains is speaking and he's saying well it's a black business so us as black you as a black person should not criticize that if it comes off like that to the people that's younger saying that you should it can come off that you shouldn't be critiqued you know what I mean we're not we're not giving ex we're not giving examples of what's the best way to criticize this person okay fuck it not publicly but they should know that this is bad and stuff like that not cuz cuz you're you're a black business and I'm a black man I just oh let me no look the other way just continue to support a lot of people use that a lot of people play that play that line that line we we got to stop blurring that line that's my opinion my opinion was I'll pull you to the side I'll let you know we know people that have businesses I've pulled niggas to the side and been like yo that blah blah blah ain't hitting that banana putting ain't good that whatever ain't good you know what I'm saying like I told old boy dude oh brother you got a Mexican nigga making collard greens.
Yeah, I'm telling you, I've had these conversations, but I won't get on a public forum and be like, "Yo, the food over there is shitty." I won't do that. Would you do that to any platform or is it just not black? I would do it to to answer your question. I would do it to a white one before a black one. Okay. 1000%. So again, I want I want this shit to succeed. I want this particular business to succeed. So if I can help them behind closed doors, that's a help to me. Me shitting on them niggas publicly is not a help. I think that's more harm than help. The only thing I would add is when it comes to service and closing flip is I also tell black people to always resist the urge to hold us to a different standard cuz they will go people always love to complain about soul food restaurants.
I had to wait 25 minutes and they will sit there with that vibrating ass remote control at the Olive Garden for an hour and a half. Carbones hold your weight was an hour. You fucking wait an hour and then take an Instagram video with your feeling proud about it. Right. So I just don't hold us to an impossible standard and understand we're building and growing. So we might need a little more grace. Not less. That's a great point. Great point. Yeah. I'm I'm with you 100%. What? This is the part where you tell us you make a quippy remark and then take us to your favorite part of the show. I was going to make a remark but then I was worried about how it would maybe come off to the large audience.
Carbones ain't making nobody wait an hour and that's back to the point a little bit. Yes and no. That's not true. That's why I use the Olive Garden example. I'm just giving you I'm giving you an example. I never eat carbones. We don't have to talk about carbones specifically. I'm just saying but I didn't even want to say nothing. No. To use them one day they they they jam packed. Yeah. My man got a black card. He calls them. He calls American Express. American Express gets a table in carbones. So that is one of the perks again that come along with this certain level of celebrity or this certain level of status.
That's that's across the board. If I got a black card, there's a few perks that I'm going to be expecting. You get what I'm saying? But that's just one. That's just a perk. If I have a black car, now this sounds like a fun topic. Like not only do I expect them to clear a table when I walk in, but I want a front row seat while they do it. Oh, you watch and snacks. Yeah. You watch when Henry on um um. Yeah, I want to do that on good. Yo, you know what's the awkward moment? You know what's like an awkward moment depending on which side you on?
I promise we getting to that ad now. Like when you go to the spot and they say, "Yo, you got a section." And the lady is walking you to the section, but there's somebody's in there. And now you got to be the guy standing. You look like the dick that kicked him out of the section. Wait, wait, wait, wait. You like, you like, wait, hold it. Wait, stop. It looks bad. You wait, stop. Joey Netanyahu. Yo, y'all got to go. You like to clear out. You like to fucking this nigga's crazy. You like to watch them leave. Yo, Joe, don't tell me you like to stand there and watch niggas leave. Nah, I.
Joe, I it ain't about you. You're asking me to really answer. Yeah, please do. Joe, do you Joe, are you crazy? My answer to this question and then you can go to ice is it depends on it depends. Boy trying to weasel his way good. No, I'm telling the truth. Listen, it depends on the goings ones when we arrive to that table. True. Okay. I agree with that. What's happening here? Is this just some unsuspecting people that was sitting there minding business and now you being addicted to these people?
Nah, I'll probably go over there and talk myself to to smooth whatever the fuck they saying. But if you over there on some raw rowdy like this year shit and we balling and fucking everybody knuck if you buck shit you knock them down. I can't wait for this lady to tap you cuz you see us walk over here. You see you know what the walk is about. Somebody people try to take a long time doing it. Some people might not know. Do, you know that walk is about. I promise you. Look, I promise you. You know that walk is about. I can't say you know that walks about.
No, say it on camera right now. It's going to turn us up. I'm about to I was in the spot recently and some people had finished eating their food before these niggas damn near paid the check. They took their tables and moved both tables to the corner. Yo, that's crazy. This lady was like, "This is my last time coming here. We should have took a long time to pay the check. As soon as we paid the check, they kicked us out." And there was two tables and a listen, man. Let me ask y'all a question. Let me let me whisper to me.
Let me let me let me ask y'all a question and I promise then we moving on. Dead ass. How long do y'all think you should be able to stay at the table once the check is paid? Shady, this is good by the way. Thank you. She made up what? This is you asked her to make that. No, no, I didn't. I didn't ask her. No disrespect. You got a good one. You got a good one. You got a good one. This is this is perfect. She knows. I can see why you being the crib. I can see.
I didn't get it. I didn't get it at the time. You playing with my family. Never. Yo, this this is well made. Are you looking at my fiance? Never. Never. I didn't go. Thanks for making this. I see why you stay. Yo, you got a good one. You got a good one. You got a good one. It's crazy. Yo, you got a good one. You got a good one. Have you seen? Have you seen? Wow. Wow. Should have tired. Stop. Everybody stop cuz they'll say that's playing my family.
I love that. Sounds good. Answer the question. 30 minutes. I feel like there should be 30 minutes. 15ish. Yeah. About 1520. Ice. Yeah. Um, something in there. About 20 minutes. I'm not asking for the check until we're ready to go. Until the ice is melted in your drink. If you're sitting there with a fucking glass of watery whiskey, you got to get the fucking body. But Parks, you you work in in the field, right? What's the grace period? Would you get people or would the restaurant take? Yes. You got to go.
Slammed. Really? You got to go. As soon as you pay, you're welcome to go uh sit at the bar or you know you you say it a nice way. Stand in the room. But if you're sitting there bullshitting with fucking empty glasses, no, it's time to Yeah. Now he's taking up space. Yeah. All right. We did it. We did it. What's your what's your opinion? Shout out to how you handle didn't they spill a drink on you one time? How did you handle that? What's up with you? What's up with this guy? What you mean, nigga? You ain't got some I'm not I'm not going to I'm not sold a nigga. I ain't going to really I ain't going to rush to even pay the check.
No, you saying once the check is paid, what's your timeline that you want them to be out? Oh, once I pay it. I mean, if you're a restaurant. Oh, no. If I'm a restaurant, then I'm it's going to be bad. Answer the question. If I'm a restaurant, Keith Lee, and I'm should come over here. If I'm a restaurant, prime time, chime time, chimichurri, all these niggas. Don't don't come to my shit, dog. I can't. If you're a restaurant, you got to go. Don't get up. Come on. I'm talking shit.
How big is my restaurant? I think it don't matter. I think it's small and it's lit. Actually, take the check with y'all and pay that up there at the door on y'all way out. Y'all got to go. Yeah. I'm going to walk right. You know what's funny? When the restaurant niggas, some of them will tell you ahead of time how long your reservation guy tell you and that never feels good, but I understand it. No, I respect it. Yo, you got two hours at the I know this shit lit. I know it's like two hours. If you sit down and you the place is random. Yo, that's the that's the same thing where you know what else I've come around on that I used to really be against.
I promise I'm doing a prospect's asshole. Uh, but this is fun now. Uh, uh, your your your large nobody in your large party can be seated until your party gets here. They used to piss me off. Yeah, I hate that. They used to really piss me off. I get it though. But it makes sense. People be lazy. It makes sense. I just hate that shit. No, it makes sense. No, nigga. You took up a table for six and it's three of y'all. But what if it's a table? What if it's for 10 and seven of y'all in there? That's why I get annoyed. I might I might have been able I might have been able to spread I might have been able to take that table. If it's seven of y'all, I got a seven seater over here.
I got an eight seater. I need this 10 seater. I got a six and we'll put one on the end. You got you got and 10 people. I'm probably putting multiple members of my staff to to cater to this table. Seven people. I might just put my best waiter on this muffle. What irritates me is the person waiting. That's what happens. A lot of this shit is business related and business oriented and because you never ran a business, you don't even understand what's going on in the inner workings of this shit. You sound like Angel. No, I'm serious, bro. Like you just said, y'all could had a range. Yo, you just said, "Yo, I could have my best waiter do six, but now I might have to allocate two or three people for a table of 10."
And it's a different thing in the workings of the business. Two chains. Keith Lee. Hold y'all heads, man. Great, great entertainment. I absolutely enjoyed it. Shout out to Kirk Franklin. Every podcast I see him a part of, absolutely love. So, shout out to him. And now it's time for my favorite part of the show, price picks. Yo, before the pod started, you was questioning me about my energy and getting live, and I feel like I've been killing this shit on energy. I feel like the first hour you've been a little quiet. After that, prize ad, come back with energy.
And I said that. He got to see now. I said that. He got to see. He got to see. What you do a lot? I want the energy up. This is what you do a lot. While you're internally producing or producing on the spot, you're used to going to the people that you want to hear from. Period. I want to hear from you. No. So, if you want to hear from me, act like you want to hear from me. And I just used to play in my role. Energy up in here. All the way up. That's right. I ain't against you, boy. My man. I'm not like you. I'm on your ass, too. We're talking about it. I'm on your ass. All right. Football is heating up and everyone's pulling up because Prize Pix has all your picks in one place.
That's right, you guys. Prize Pix is also available drum nationwide. So, what are you waiting for? Everyone and everything is on Prize Picks. Damn, I know you're out there asking yourself, "Damn, how do I play?" Let me tell you, it's really easy and simple. All you have to do, select two or more players, look at their projected stat line, and pick more or less for your chance to win big. Some of you out there with good jobs got some money to burn, money to spend, some ancillary income to lose on a play.
I got some ish loser tickets for ya. I got some ish loser picks for your head tops right now. Uh, let's see. As soon as I get to them, get out of here. All right, here we go. Ish loser picks of the week. Ish is going with Terario McMillen for more than 61 receiving yards. He ain't got that in weeks. Well, ish don't know. He been busy working. Uh, Bo Nix for more than 12 rushing yards. Ish gassed off that one little 60-yard play that he ran for.
That's a L. Derek Henry for more than a half a touchdown. Oh, yeah. Raven starting third string. Raven starting third string. Quarterback. They won't touch that red zone. Don't worry about it. That's another L. That's another L. Oh, here we go. Here we go. Bashal Tutan. I know he's been on the heater for more than 13 receiving yards. That should be a check mark. That should be a check mark. And Rashi Rice, who was on my bench along with Patrick Mahomes. Had I started them both, I would win my fantasy matchup.
But since I did not start it, Lamar Jackson injured on the first play. Yes, right. Lost to Jar. Lamar Jackson with a big zero. Uh, issues going with Rashi Rice for more than 49 receiving yards. And that should work unless Kenneth Walker is angry and pulled Andy Reed to the side cuz he ain't been looking right these last few weeks. Listen, don't forget if you download the app right this very second, what are you waiting for? And use promo code JBP.
You get $150 instantly when you win your very first $5 lineup. And that is only on Prize Picks. So, run your game. Lucy Butler. And I don't know if you guys have heard, but they weren't looking like they were on the greatest of terms that night. You should check that out. Working on your game. I like that. Come on, man. I love it. I love it. My law and order boys. All right. Can you do more? Go ahead. Just can we do a shout out to going to state real quick?
I know you never talk about it, but just going to that was amazing game seven. Amazing game seven. WNBA finals. The Valkyries defeated the uh Atlanta Dream uh and was a real barn burner. It was and uh salute to them uh salute to everybody who worked hard you know going to state won a hard fought battle but Atlanta was right there and I'm sure they'll be back next year for another you know another run second year in existence fastest any pro team has won a championship it's amazing that's fire you know shout out to them I love the picture of Andrew Reese walking off with her moms with the confetti falling that's one of the hardest picks that that that that pick will come back when she wins it they absolutely smoke that pick uh what else what else what else all right and more food reviewer news yeah we have a friend of the show uh fellow podcaster extraordinaire Nor or in this instance Noriega cuz I don't know if that was Nor this was Noriega uh ran up on a dude what's this dude's name sober facts sober facts is a food reviewer who runs up on restaurants where he feels like things are uh extremely overpriced and he reviews it.
It's not for the people. He says this is mine. Mhm. So, uh, let's see if I can break some of this down for you guys. Sober Facts a little while ago went to Lefrak. Yeah. Mistake number one for Sober Facts. Yeah. And he had some choice words for Nori. Let me see if I can find. I think Sober Facts is from that area as well. Here we go. This is what he had to say about Nori. Yo, this is a message for Noriega, the rapper. I'm right here where you grew up in, bro.
And on my way here, I'm asking the kids, do you know where Noriega, the rapper lives? Who's that? Nobody knows who you are. I even asked the doorman next door. You know where Noriega lives? Nobody knows who you are. But the reason why I'm making this video, I haven't forgot how you disrespected me a few months ago. We really got to start not respecting you rich alcoholics, you rich drug addicts, you people do not motivate the people. You should be even happy that Black TV wants you. All right. Let me pause this for a second. One, one, two, two, two, two, two.
Okay. Now I will play it. Let's play it again. Little soundtrack. On his podcast, bro. You haven't had a hit in a decade, bro. And I'm telling you again, every time you come to Lefrak, you just go to the deli and buy a six-pack. Bro, I told you, you're an alcoholic. You're a drug addict. You got to get your life together. You don't inspire nobody. You definitely don't inspire. You just try to shit on me. Make history. Supposedly I was the man who was supposed to be. He should have had this plan in his head during this whole clip. When he speaks fast.
I know you're like Shinobi. Shoot it to God and make you know me. You ain't ready yet. Slow down and wreck a stay in the car. I start from law body. Yo, I know who look. Now I'm like the bottom. Yeah. Yeah. No. You you crying crying some other shit now. You was crying some other shit before. But you know what? Listen, man. Like I said, I could have did you filthy. I'm putting it on your camera. I could have did him filthy right now. Ran up on him. He no one's there with him. All them other dudes that under his comments.
Where y'all at? Where y'all at? That's why keep it positive cuz my my attention from the beginning was keeping it positive. All I said was stop saying nigga. None of us is say nigga. Not Dominicans, not Puerto Ricans, not Ecuadorians, not Nicaraguans, none of us. Not even Ethiopians. Not even black people say nigga. That's all I did. I had a positive approach to you. So that's it, man. So, so, so, so please stop your shit. Before we stop your shit. All right. That's it. I did it for the love of cash. Trafficking across the Arizona.
Coke and marijuana. I like to bump the money. Get a two step joke. Quitters and fold. Cash and hydro. Yo, what do we think? What do we think? What do we think? Project book versus sober facts. I like the way Nor handled it. That's the book he shit on me in that one. Oh, did he shit on you in there? Yeah, he killed me in that book. Recipes fuck we pieced it up. There we go. Uh, recipes prodigy, man. What do we think? Sober facts.
I see it. I see handled it properly. He did. And I see the frustration a little bit like you know oh boy. You think he handled it properly? Nor absolutely. Yeah. I feel like I should play sober facts after the fact. Speak to the point. What happened today with Nor? I'm doing the food review. We post up. I see him. Yo, and I feel like you too old to trying to beat people up. Trying to do all this stuff, bro. Up, up, up, up, up. Got to pause it. Never too old to pause it. What?
While while while of a certain age fighting should be a last resort option. True. Sometimes it is not. Like don't think that because people are 50 55 that they're above it. You shouldn't assume that. No, but you you not just that when you put that energy out there and somebody now returns that same exact energy, you can't now cry wolf. No, the bet you should be you better thank God that it was Nor and not somebody that you don't know that love Nor.
That's a good point. And that like Nor just made a a quick little PSA for you. Mhm. Some niggas that love him that you would have never saw coming. Well, nigga, he did a favor for 20 years ago that still feeling debt. All of those people were there. No, but I'm saying the fact that without him, what I'm saying they saw him without Nor. Oh, that's homie right there that was popping shit. Yeah. Yeah. That goes differently, bro. That's true. I was just chilling, bro. No, you wasn't. You wasn't. The facts. A lot of people out here smoking and drinking.
They can't get sober. I feel like the most sober guy in New York City right now. I'm just trying to spit some knowledge on y'all and y'all always want to Yo, spitting knowledge can get the shit smacked out of you. You could spit your knowledge without his name. And the nigga could spit blood. Absolutely. You could spit all the knowledge you want. You you single Nor out for what? And it was disrespectful. Right. And disrespectful while you do it. Be prepared for whatever come with that. And and and Lefrak. You did that. Oh my god. You did that show on internet. I don't care if you was in Lefrak.
I don't care if you was in LA. You jumped on a camera calling this man name out, disrespecting him for a reason. What was the disrespect? Him calling him an alcoholic. You said you you an alcoholic. You can't diagnose me as that. Left Lefrak and 40 40 projects in the 90s for you new kids was like Oblock. Maybe not with the happenings, but with word and rumor. You wasn't just going over there if you wasn't from there and you're going for and pulling a camera out and it wasn't talking to nobody a certain way.
You wasn't doing none of them projects over there in the 90s. You was doing that too. So to do it now and to say, "Hey, I just went around and nobody knows you." Well, good thing. People have been successful. They've moved. They've grown. Who cares that the people who live here now don't know who I am? You trying to be funny. Yes. And you trying to be funny in a place where I'm from. I could probably have something done to you while I'm in on the Cayman Islands, nigga. So now to get on video talking about, "Oh, I put you chilling under the road. It's crazy. You can't want to fight me because of y y."
Yes, you can. Yes, you can. Yo, disagree with that. Yes. Oh, Mark, you're on the wrong side of history. Let me finish this clip and we'll argue you want to do this shit. End up in jail. What? Is that smart? You're you're willing and bro bro didn't even let me speak. Every time I was trying to speak he stopped me. He stopped me. And I'm not going to lie, bro. I'm a content demon, bro. There you go. There you go. Mark, I got to get a little video out this shit. We got Nor 15. I already knew that shit was going to go viral, but I was just doing my thing.
And the thing is, you seem to not say the N word and you keep saying the N word. Like what? Make it make sense, bro. And then you didn't even let me speak, bro. Like I'm not with the fighting shit. I just speak the facts, bro. And one thing, yo, if you speak the facts, you do got to be with the fighting shit. You can't draw a line. Yes, you. Say I dare anybody that was there to pass a drug test, bro. And when whenever y'all want to talk, I'll give it to y'all.
That's the thing. I don't want to argue with people that haven't fought their demons. Sober facts. This ain't a time for nobody to pull out the little plastic piss test. Fam, who are you to to sober facts? Got it. He said y'all don't want to argue with nobody that haven't uh uh conquered their demons. This is what he's saying. This is this is his point. Break it down, Mark. And there's some shit that Sober Facts did, and I made a video about this. There's some things Sober Facts did that I don't agree with. I'm not for all the internet games.
And I agree with y'all that if you play internet games, you got to be prepared to encounter people who don't play those games. You got to be prepared for that. That's all I'm saying. Yeah. But you there's more than that cuz you said you you think Nor handled it right. I do. That's the difference between that's why I disagree. Why? Cuz they're just words. Y'all every Joe is the main person up here telling some of us, myself included, that we overreact to just words, that we shouldn't be fighting when people just use words. He didn't fight.
He didn't fight. I understand that. But what I'm saying, but I'm responding to his point about saying you you have to expect fighting. I'm saying I disagree with that. Yeah. I'm saying we shouldn't expect fighting. But you said you you tell me where you disagree with what I'm saying. He handled it right. So for me, if I'm sober facts, if I were giving advice to both of them, to sober facts, I would say stop antagonizing people. Don't go to people's projects talking shit. You know that that signals something to people. Don't do all that. Don't do all that screaming and yelling rah rah shit.
Cuz to everybody I know in any place I ever grew up, any place y'all ever grew up, that mean you want to fight. I get all of that. So I'm not saying he should do that. On the other side of that though is I understand what sober facts is. I don't know if y'all watch his videos. No, we don't watch. I've seen I've seen some. But but you kind of have to to understand. I've seen some of his videos. He's somebody who conquered his demons of alcoholism and drugs. And he goes around criticizing not criticize. He goes around calling people to be better. No, but sometimes, but he also goes to delis and pours out the liquor. He tells people, "Yo, you can beat."
No, but I'm saying his his whole mission is you can beat this. I want y'all to beat this. So when he's talking to Nor, he's talking to Nor as somebody who runs a show where people get drunk on air and he's saying that sending the wrong message. And I don't have an issue with that. I think you can criticize him for that. Big Sean basically said the same shit to him when he was on air. He just did it in a loving brotherly way, which is a big difference. And that which is why I said my to sober facts. You do know you do know you have the Royce went on drink champs. Well, no, look at there. I'm with you. I'm not. I'm saying but these people I'm talking out to the world. I don't love when people get sober and then criticize everybody who's not sober.
But he but I I I feel like he's doing less of saying fuck you for not being sober and more talking to people who aren't sober saying I I want you to get right. And he's but he is criticizing people who are promoting bad messages. Again, plenty of criticism for sober facts. All I'm saying is is that if I'm Nor and I'm Nor Nor is him, right? Best podcast, biggest hip hop podcast, biggest podcast in the world. Who's Nor? That's the nigga I saw in that video. That's what I'm saying. And so to still having tell me how you still having tell me how you're him.
I'm saying you can go go in in front of a camera taking somebody who's in the cheap seats and running out to the cheap seats and thre and and threatening them or or intimidating them is to me not the right move. I don't see all you did all you did was feed his vibe. Let me respond. I looked at the exact opposite. He said he could have saved that boy life because the next person might not play with you like that. So that's why let me show you. You didn't you don't a lot of times people with these cameras and these microphones and shit don't realize that real shit could happen to you outside. I go back to the um when when Mano and Ed Lover ran up on Shorty in um Short Hills Mall who was just on Twitter just talking crazy.
Don't know that the nigga right here in Kaseya Tweets walked up on you with your boyfriend and was like, "Yo, you could have got fucked up for her." Just sometimes you just have to instruct people that, "Hey, there can be consequences to what you're doing. You might not be thinking about them." So going forward, maybe you should uh move a little differently if you don't want those consequences. Now if you with them consequences, rock out. If he if he if Deuces I'm not trying to also Nor didn't cut no camera on. He told him to cut it. No, he told him cut it off.
No, he told him cut it off. I'm sorry. Cut it off before we cut it off. Yeah. And again, dude has a right to make a camera. He has a right to make videos. What if dude doesn't cut the camera off? Then what happened? We gonna cut it off. We gonna cut it off. And that's my point. No, that's that's where shit gets stupid. Nor is too Nor to be doing that shit. Hold on. Hold on. Joe. Mark. Or the the right the six niggas behind would dude cut the camera off though. He was scared. That's the point. He knew that shit could have happened to you. If you were that tough guy and you went all around, leave the camera.
He's not a tough guy. That's what he said in his response video. He said stop antagonizing tough guys. Start with that. Stop calling people out there. You got mad at Flip for calling you a sucker and you was ready to go somewhere else because Flip called you a sucker. Let me finish. No. So look. So a nigga that I don't know that's calling me all of these names and going to my neighborhood like nobody around here don't know you. You ain't him. You ain't really from this neighborhood. Nigga, there's repercussions that could come along with those actions. Right. And remember when I when I when we went to you up on this one.
You spun on that nigga for that. Let me what I'm saying is you you the way you talk to me in the hallway where you gave me good advice and call me down is what I'm trying to do with Nor. I I understand why people get to that place. I'm not being judgmental about getting angry. I get as angry as anybody else. I was going to fuck Flip up. But yeah, right. Yeah, right. I just joking. You're all up for me anymore cuz that was a good joke. I want to spend time on it. Good thing Ish calmed him down. Yeah, I know. I know. Thank you. Thank you. If Ish didn't take him in that hallway, it would have been a rap could have got bad. I would have I would have I know.
Yo. So no, what I'm saying is again, yo, and it's somebody that you see, somebody that you love. So a stranger saying these things about you on a public forum in front of millions and millions of people, my nigga. And again, I appreciate Nor for what he did. I'm not going to touch you. I'm letting you know that you are touchable. You are accessible. These things can happen. Can you let the nigga speak that that was out there doing this thing? Here's a here's a thing. What thing were you doing? Not like how he was doing it, but there's consequences. Why wasn't you doing it the way he's doing it? Because I was outside touching grass.
Is he having a certain respect for how the streets operate? That's what we speaking. Hold on. Hold on. The thing is is that clout chasing has become an all-time high. I've shown that. I've also trained in some clout chasing tactics. However, things like that happen. I understand what Mark is saying. He's saying that, "Yo, you are at a different level. Let it go." But it's not that. Sometimes when you garnish respect outside and when you walk in these facilities and people respect you to have somebody that you don't know that nine times out of 10 if you was in the same room with them, they wouldn't even play with you like that to do that.
And you saying that, "Oh, I'm doing it for the sake of content and having an opinion." Well, sometimes, nigga, you can't have an opinion. I mean, I guess it's America your opinion. No, you can't. It's how you deliver. You can have an opinion. Just be prepared for what come with it. Yo, dog, when the wolves in the room, you don't have a fucking opinion. Sit your fucking rabbit ass down and shut the fuck up. And so if your opinion that you wanted to have, you don't have when the wolf is in the room. He's saying Nor wouldn't allow him to speak. Nigga, you a grown man. You could have spoken. You didn't want to speak. You start stuttering and you start blaming it on content.
So again, in real life, and this is the problem with the internet, when the lions is in the room, some niggas shut the fuck up until the lions leave. That's real life. When you start talking to street shit, these niggas don't be really bred from that. Niggas shut the fuck up when real uh what's her name? Said everybody's a gangster until real gangsters come in the room. No, you killing. You don't even need no example. No, I'm just saying like and that's real life shit, bro. Niggas don't know who Nor is. They think he's a podcaster. When you really start talking to street niggas from Queens, that nigga got a resume. You can watch old interviews of Nor.
Fuck. It's the problem. Not the interviews, not the industry shit, not the podcasting shit, not the source magazine shit. The shit when niggas is standing outside in the cold with guns on them. That resume. And niggas be thinking that these niggas is entertainers and they they ain't going to do shit. That nigga's a real street nigga. Turn entertainer. Turn run champ. Like right. Yeah. Like that's it. Shout out to Nor too. By the way, I love Nor. That that I'm saying is because I love Nor. That's the point is that I thought you would really dig how Nor handled that because it was on some peace love.
This this is the thing. It could have went to 10. He just he just kept it at six. It wasn't at six. Whatever number we pick. I'm saying but that's where our discrepancy is. So he was at three. Pick the number. I'm saying whatever number it was, it could have been look if I'm Nor, I ignore that shit cuz I I ignore that shit. Like that's what I'm saying. You know what niggas ignore? You know what 50 did? You know what niggas act like they ignore shit? They walk straight past the person and guess what happened to the person? They woke up. He cool. Them niggas is getting boob bop bop head thrown in the glass. That's how that ignore shit is all a facade.
Hey, I seen it. I participated. It's all a facade. Niggas ain't ignore nothing. I didn't get boobops. I participated. You got Queens flipped around. Nigga, nigga, I know it's all funny because two niggas that get beat up. Listen, a nigga was to see you and walk past you. They do this right here. This finger. Bro, you know what I'm talking about, Joe? Walk straight back. Walk back cuz you had to walk walk straight for the camera. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Nigga, you hit still for real.
But then you turn around, nigga, you see a nigga and everybody's scattered. You turn around, nigga. Shirt, nigga. Shirt. Yeah. That I can't talk about the manos. Remember the nigga that was dissing Mano on the block? Yeah. I know you talking about nigga. That's whatever nigga. Yeah. Yo, my nigga saw that nigga. Remember he was on No Street Ave burning the flag on Mano. Mano, where you at? And then since in the morning that was a bad idea. Sometimes you internet niggas to God. I was talking to niggas that y'all think is niggas that y'all the shit y'all want to do on YouTube and in front of these cameras.
I'm telling you guys listen to your inner voice. Sometimes that shit is a bad idea. Yo, sometimes I miss old Mano. Me too. Me too. Sometimes I miss old Mano. Not all the time cuz old Mano is still old Mano. Like you want people to change. But sometimes that's the point. Nor still has correct. Yo, when I was 23 talking all that G unit shit and them them niggas see me in front of the radio station and pulled me close to that was the first time you shooting yourself. Just letting you know. Oh shit.
We just do it to you. We just letting you Mark. The touch laugh is what's going to get. Like I heard what he said and you could have laughed, but the touch laugh is what makes it. This is sauce. When they pull when they pull you close and be like, "Hey, heard what you said. Just letting you know could have went bad." That's the warning. That's grace. And they just walk away. That's all that needs to be said. A lesson should be learned from that. As the person that gets the grace, you be like, "Oh shit." You try to get all that shit. You try to get all that shit off the mix tapes.
Yo, take that. Scrub that. Scrub that. Nah, I was with niggas that's on on bullshit. Just not that day. Just not that day. And that's and that's and that's the thing. E, that's the other reason I turned in my street nigga card early. Super early. Earlier than most because they have to be with you. Yep. All the time. Like all the time. The deli, the laundry. I was calling I was calling street niggas with awkward, yo, run me to the laundry man.
What the fuck are we It could happen to you at the laundry man, nigga. And as soon as it happens, you know what niggas going to say? Stupid ass. Why you at the laundry man by yourself? That's what they going to say. So if you want to be sober facts and talk that sober fact shit aggressively, just be prepped for it. Kind of surprised that Mark's take, but I'm I'm sure cuz I think y'all Mark get puts sometimes. I man, we haven't used that one a lot. Sometimes you believe is this the freedom of speech that he could say whatever he want? I I got the same feelings about sober facts that y'all do.
I just want Nor to respond to it. Got it. So you saying that that's what I'm saying. I can't how would you want our beef is how Nor handled it. We all agree sober facts is a done thing. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. My beef ain't how Nor handled it. No, that's what I'm saying. I'm disagreeing with y'all on how he's handling it because again when I first saw it I was like I thought it was ill and I was like yo I'm glad he handled it that way cuz it could have went a lot worse cuz cuz the inner he's like you know stop your shit before we stop your shit all that shit I was on that I thought it was great I thought it was great but then I just thought about it more over the over the course of the day and even today and I was just like Nor is too big for all just ignore that nigga man honestly he gave the shit oxygen by responding and that dude got a viral video the lesson in that video was worth it you know what happens next time what we know you don't respond to grace well we step it up a tier right so now you now you involved on some some so now what do you it ain't it ain't got to be Nor it could be the next person you know you don't respond to warnings and grace but what did he do that see and this this is I was going back to you shit about did you see the fat Joe one?
Yeah. And Fat Joe's comment. Same thing. Just said it in a comment. Yo, dogs, please. This is not what you want. Stop. You playing a game that you don't want to play. Yeah. Stop speaking people's name with disrespect. Stop. People are trying to warn you after a while. The warning the warning is the courtesy. You got you got to be from a certain lifestyle to talk like that. Like when you hear about like niggas did the ghetto coron and all these records, you you you preparing from you're preparing for something.
When you talk, you have to prepare. Like I'm going on a ledge and I'm prepared for whatever that comes with it. I will move a caution, but I'm prepared. Like sober facts. He just want to talk slammed slammed some of the pizza, saying it's overpriced. I mean, I like that he spoke for speak for the people, but a little bit is a little bit is too abrasive and it's too much. And on top of that, I didn't like No, I like I like his message, not the act of it. So, if he's saying that, yo, you got to feed the people, feed the community, the people can't afford this. I fuck with that part. I like that part.
I don't like slamming the pizza. I don't like wasting the food. See, I don't. Why not? What what what was the I don't really I don't necessarily look at the sober facts, dude, the way I look at Keith Lee. Okay, tell me why. Who are you to dictate what somebody charges for their goods? That's why. Got it. That's why I think he's pointing out people who exploit the hood. That's why it's a context for you got to watch the video. I think if you watch the videos, you might agree with that with that part. That's how I saw it. Yeah. That's that's how I like to act the way he's do. I don't like that throwing the food away cuz I'd rather give it to somebody.
Let me ask you something. Is Williamsburg the hood? Not no more. Tricky question, right? Not no more. I was there I was there Wednesday. It was a tricky question. Hasn't been the hood for 20 years. That's not a tricky question. Some people it is. He's going to some hoods and saying, "Hey, this is a hood." And that ain't really what it is. You know why you going there? One, and two. Wait, hold up. Two, which is this way I think is where it was going. The restaurants he going to are priced that way for a reason. Yes. They're priced that way.
It's not just you paying for food. You're paying for exclusivity. It's part of gentrification. You're paying to not be around him. And I think the and people pay for that. I agree. But I think he's not Keith Lee is going in there and really judging the functionality of your place. Yes. He just popping up places that he feel like shit is priced too high. And yeah, nigga, move. But he's speaking for move around. But he's speaking for displaced people through gentrification. So the fact that we Oh god. No. I mean you you can say oh god but that's the point.
He's saying this shit is for the hood but it's actually not for the hood no more. Everybody that says that. See, I don't I don't also don't believe that everybody that says that is true to that. I I agree with that. You believe it a lot more than me. I believe it with him. Why he really not going to the hood slamming a pizza? He is though. No he not. Williamsburg ain't the hood. If he went to Newark and slammed a pizza. Guess what's next? He gonna get pepperoni. But niggas know where the fuck to go to do that stuff. And that's my point. Um, watch the rest of his videos.
That's what I'm saying. I I think if you see the videos, you'll see he is in the hood sometime. But again, everything we everything we do in the last two minutes is making my point, I think. Which hold up. Hold up. Which is we have said sober facts name more times in the last five minutes than anybody on the internet has in any legitimate platform has said his name in life put together. And we wouldn't have done that if Nor hadn't run up on him. And that's the part we're giving him what he wants. My rebuttal to that. Nor giving him grace, possibly teaching him a lesson that could save his nigga's life. It's worth it. Far greater.
Far far greater than hey you was hot on a podcast. I I promise you sober facts name will probably never get said again up here. No. And a bunch of 40 something year old niggas that was outside telling you that you got served some grace should be a message to you and to other people that want to create similar contacts. Yes. Yeah. But we're all that makes sense if we accept that talking shit on the internet should get you killed or fucked up real bad. No, no, nobody said that. This is the worst case scenario, right? That's what we say, right? I mean, we've been honest. I mean, that's not all disrespect. What we're saying is disrespect to people that don't tolerate disrespect, whether it's on the internet, whether it's in the street, whether it's anywhere in the world, can get.
Let's take you back to the first part. What did he do that was disrespectful? He called him an alcoholic and a drug addict on a public platform and went to his projects where he grew up and said, "Nigga, you a nobody. Nigga, don't nobody around here knows you." I asked him. He didn't just critique certain shit. He attacked him as a man. So, no, I'm not I'm I'm listening to you. I'm listening for a reason. We eating Mark up today. So, alcoholic got cuz I Yeah. It's a wild accusation against Nori. Um, drugs and like I asked about the hood. They don't know you. You're a fraud. Mhm. I don't think that's exactly what you're saying, but let's assume that's what he was saying.
Mhm. Should that get you? Do y'all believe that should get you fucked up? Yes. From No, listen. No, no, no. Mark, Mark, Mark. From a 50-year-old mind of a man that has children. No. But from a nigga that was running around in these streets and knowing what the consequences are when you put smut on somebody's name, apps are fucking looting. You talking from Cool. So, homeboy has to see, yo, this is the new me. The old me, I would have fucked you up. So, watch your mouth. No, I'm not. Wait, wait, wait.
Watch your mouth before the old me comes back out. Mark, there's a difference between homeboy saying that in front of fucking Carvel and saying it in front of Lefrak. I'm which I this is where we missing each other. I understand the consequences of what he did. I understand the idea of saying this could have went a lot worse for you. And in 99% of situations where the nigga different than me, less mature and developed than me, it would have it would have went worse. I get all that. I'm not being obtuse about it. I get it. I'm trying to push it push a step further and say that shit is actually unhealthy and fucked up.
And while I'm celebrating Noy for not taking it there, I'm saying the there itself is some shit that none of us should ever be doing anyway. I'm not disagreeing. That that's all I'm saying. But why can't we also say that he shouldn't be on the internet disrespecting? I started there. Remember I started there. That's what I'm saying. You ain't spend enough time there. Because we don't agree on that. We we didn't we we But yeah, what I'm talking about is a cause and effect. Words having power. The power of manifestation and karmic retribution. And I believe in all of those things wholeheartedly. So, you play stupid games. You may one day win a stupid prize.
And you can't bank on everybody. You can't. You can't you can't bank on everybody. How am I What am I trying to say? You can't bank on everybody's uh decision making within a split second. Right. Because Nor is somewhere in mind in his business. Look to the side. Oh shit. There go that nigga that was talking shit. Yep. No Joe. You know you went. No. Somebody might have called you saying that nigga's outside that was talking that shit. But that's my furthest my point. You talking about a nigga that you don't know that got tentacles outside in real street queens and outside in real New York and you running your fucking mouth and this easy I could get a phone call and happen to be 10 minutes away from you and pull up and something bad could happen to you.
Watch your fucking mouth. Nigga, I don't have to be there for something bad to happen to you. Or or that. Yo, you got the phone call. You're just standing outside my laundry mat. You want me to take care of that? Yo, I'll be here in 10 minutes. I'll be there. And then when you see that person for the very first thing for you to say. That that that that that that y'all just trying to make it from the bottom. Nah, you got to say that now. You got to please that's why I got no I got no defense of and then made a followup video cuz that's what he do. Close us out, man. He exploits he exploits fucked up situations.
And if the worst thing had happened, if he had said fuck you, I'm not keeping it. I'm not turning this camera off. And then he did get boobop and somebody end up in jail and fucked up and he's still making videos and Nor is implicated. Who fucking won? That's all I'm saying. I I I don't got no defense of sober facts. I just don't like fuck nobody but nobody won in the scenario you just painted. But that's not what happened. No, but I'm worried about I'm explaining why it's a bad choice because it could lead there. It could very easily go there. So, let me ask you to somebody that wants to be the next sober facts. Do you think No, I'm asking do you think them watching this makes them want to or say damn maybe I shouldn't be talking about motherfuckers because they could run up on them.
I could word it a little differently. I think it's the latter but I don't know. Yo, you got to at least know how to learn learn how to fight at least if you stream. People don't care. I ain't going for you streaming niggas. There's too many of y'all scrawny and bad built. Honestly, cuz the nigga's sober facts. He was sounding all shook and timid. And then when I fucking seen him like next to a door frame, I was like, "Oh, okay. The door frame look like shack. You are probably the the person that should shut the fuck up. Like you you shouldn't be the one that's with the rah rah at all.
It wouldn't take much. Yeah. That's why So, how you love that streaming nigga take your money? Oh, Ty Lil you mean? Not that streaming nigga. He's rather big in the streaming world. Okay. How you love everybody who was somebody was there? What happened? How you love take the party? Flip. I wasn't there. Oh, sorry. That was a piece of shit. That nigga be nigga was there. Everybody that was somebody was there. I was the party. I got to ignore these niggas. You know these niggas that I wasn't there. They got to stick up to each other. Y'all know Flip could have been there? Flip is like Flip's uh sister.
Talk to your bro. That was Mark. I thought he was there. Shoot him out of here. I ain't talking to him for like at least 30 minutes. I can't believe he let you win that. I wasn't. Not my bad. I thought you was there. That's okay. Thank you. Based on what based on what Joe said. The top everybody that's yo, he still going. I thought he was there. I apologize. Are you still mad about that wife's comment I made last part? We I don't even remember what you talking about. You weren't here last part. You were part time. No. Yeah. But the one the one that the one I don't remember two episodes ago. I don't even I don't remember it. Don't try to spit on Flip now, nigga. Stop.
I don't need that nigga's help me. Yes, you do. Oh, you always complaining it's a 201. Oh, you still mad about that comment? Yes. No. No. What you talking about? Okay, listen. What I'm saying is that you set up. Oh, I see what you're doing. You have to set up. I'm I play chess. Load them up. Load them up. Load them up. You know what you doing? Stop. Slow walk the door. I watching this. Hey, slow walk the door on him. I'm saying you should still you can't teach kids checkers. What you mean? It's not about checkers. I'm just saying you might still be frustrated about the comment I said last time I was here. I don't remember. I don't pay attention to the comment. I really don't know what you're talking about. Well, I'm not going to get into details, but the people will go and remind it.
Okay. That's you know what I mean? That's peace. Mark doing it right. Play oblivious while you trying to slow walk the door. No, he's not playing oblivious. He's going to leave it here. He's giving you a love you Flip. Uh, come on. We got we got uh come on. More fucking mess. We got more mess. We have we have big Mona. Don't call her white girl. And Cardi B. That was the longest tweet I think I've ever seen in my life. Don't let Joe. Joe. Joe. I think if we going to talk about Mona and she's not here, we should at least get her in the conversation.
Yeah. No, I'm going to call I'm going to call Mona cuz I don't want it to feel like I'm talking behind her back. If she don't answer though, I will talk behind her back. And let it ring the whole way too. She didn't answer. Got to talk behind her back on a voicemail. Hello. Hello. May we speak to Mona? AKA don't call her white girl big Mona. Yo, we on air right now. So, don't say anything incriminating even though that is your bag. Yeah. Like literally Mona, how how are you feeling?
This is a temp check. It's been a I'm feeling good. Hi guys. Thank you. Thank you. We love we love you. We we about to cover this uh Mona Mona Cardi topic. Uh and we wanted to call you first. Well, um I already tapped in on my pod. They drops tomorrow. But I'm not going to hold you guys for too long. But um I apologize. I uh I um DM Cardi. I DM Cardi when she first said anything because like I said on the pod like I really didn't think that um that she would like be hurt or upset about it.
That never was my intention. So besides anything like anything like I I've been open about being dragged this year. I've never really experienced it. I've been dragged all year. So like her saying that I'm the cause of her being dragged right now. Like that shit makes me feel horrible. Like I wouldn't want I wouldn't want nobody to experience that shit once. Let alone like you know the level that she probably experienced it on. So you know just just with that being said like I ain't going to lie the little belly button shit pinched a little bit cuz I think I got a nice belly button.
I like my belly button work. Child's a poppy. But um nah, that's just like I don't even want to get off subject. Like I legit like I got enemies that I wouldn't want to experience them dragging. So it's like like I just I feel bad and I ain't going to lie today. I feel bad. I wouldn't want nobody to feel you know what I mean? To go through that because of something I said or something I bung up. You know what I'm saying? I I listen. I I totally feel where you coming from. I agree. I think it I think it was big of you to apologize. Uh and yeah, you just want to always make sure that your words and your actions are in alignment, right?
Like what what uh what you intended versus what was coming out was really my main concern. And it meant me and you spoke privately, so I won't get into all of that. But on a on a platform this size, I I keep saying up here all the time, our voice is just too powerful for for certain things. And I get it that you be passionate. So, you getting your bag and but I feel like we could have had the colorism conversation uh sands party, right? That's a bigger conversation to be had.
So, to make her the poster child of it, which I'm again wasn't your intention, but yeah. And that's I fucked up your too though, Joe. Not to cut you off. I I had made this mistake more than once on this platform where it's like I'm not doing enough research cuz the honest truth is if I knew that that clip was edited, that clip was even fuck if it wasn't edited, if I knew it was that old, it would have been a total different response from me. I I took things like me putting it on the TikTok page and uh putting it on a page where I don't get that much attention.
I'm thinking we about to have a conversation. You know, I didn't expect for it to blow up that big, but those are the things that, you know, it's like I'm a that type of person. Like it happened. It is. I could sit in it, wallow in it, or I could figure out why how to avoid it. So, it's like I just got to step this shit up and get on some real uh journalism shit. And I know people probably hear this and say, "Well, duh, you should research everything you talk about." But the truth is people don't. So, um, I speaking of me, I just got to tighten up with shit like that because this was avoidable and that's part of the reason why it's so like whack.
You know what I mean? I ain't like it because I know you really really really fuck with shorty and you you praise her kind of. So, um, I ain't want her to think that you don't really fuck with her, that you were shooting at her cuz you talk about her with reverence. You know what I'm saying? Like you really really really admire her. So, that that's where it kind of was fucked up for me. Real shit. And I and she responded like I wouldn't share nothing. Um, we talked about in the DM, but she responded. I I um I just and that's and that's told her um in the DM like everything I'm going to say here I'm going to repeat on a big platform cuz it's like whispering.
Oh, I shouldn't have did that. My bad and yelling what you did is like fucked up. So, it's like I'm glad you even called cuz I had the opportunity to do it sooner than I would have been able to do. Yeah. I didn't want to wait till Friday for that. Yeah. Cuz I've been I've been in those shoes that that you and Wayne just letting something sit for a week when I got something I need to say. It's time sensitive. Yeah. Yeah. Word word it is. And that's and not for nothing. I need her to know like that was never my intention and I would like I wouldn't want nobody to do it. Let alone a person that was kind to me. That's the bottom line.
I met Cardi. Cardi was kind to me. We connected and we that's how it's been since and it's been years of that and I and I have avoided saying certain shit, avoided talking about certain shit. So, I just feel like to do this now is crazy. And even with her response, like I get it. Like she being dragged, I get it. I don't even think I would have got that until I experienced getting dragged for real. Cuz now I do. Now I get dragged for real for real. I used to get dragged for play playing. But it is what it is. Man. Mona, do you think you and Cardi could get past this?
Um, I'm not going to lie. Like, bro, I was mad that she was mad. Like, I definitely feel like with me that I I kind of I keep trying to like I'm bringing this whole I'm the one I keep it real. This is who I am shit to an industry that don't necessarily represent that. So, it's like when we did connect and I'm thinking we cool. I'm thinking she know know me that cuz if you know me you know I ain't me no ill will with it but she don't know me like that and it is we cool but it's some damn shit you know what I'm saying so it's like we don't link up and hang and shit like that so it's like it's levels of relationship so you I'm thinking we cooler than we are like she don't understand it's me you know what I mean and it's like we not she somebody that experiences that shit on a big level where motherfuckers coming at her so it be for that's how that's what what she's been experiencing is what I'm experiencing now.
You don't know who too. Everybody come with a smile. You really don't know who fuck with you with this kind of shit. You know what I mean? So, I mean, I get it. All I could do is apologize and move on and do better. The only thing that I feel like I could do better with for sure is making sure I know what the fuck I'm talking about because I am so passionate. You know what I'm saying? Like research is a requirement for me cuz I'm super passionate about everything especially nigga shit. I think that's well said. Yeah, that's well said. I'm glad you apologized.
Not because I'm protecting any relationship. I'm about to curse these fans out as soon as you hang up the phone. I'm about to get these fans to be in my mind. But I'm glad you know why? Because sometimes when somebody that you love and care about is wrong, which which I felt you were wrong from from the start of it, the the cheering section can get too loud. Like it's too many fans that start to chime in with, "Oh, she right. She right. She right. She right. She right. She right. She right." Nah, nah, nah.
And I'm about to curse the fans smooth the fuck out when I when I hang up with you because they what what they what they think they giving somebody I love better advice than I'm giving? Yo, you was crazy. Like you talking you I'm talking to somebody I'm talking to somebody that has asked me to give them advice. Same like Cardi said like Mona you Mona's asked me hey please mentor me uh in areas where you see I could improve or yada yada yada. So when I get to doing that it ain't for the fucking fans from a fan perspective to pop in and say oh she right she right she right she right mind your fucking business.
Oh, but I'll talk to them when I hang up with you. Anyway, I think you did it right. Uh, we love you. Yep. We love you so much. We hope we hope all is well and and we'll we'll see you Friday, man. But we love you and we got your back and we support you. Okay. I love you, nigga, too. I'll see y'all Friday. All right. You know it, girl. Yeah. Cuz they kept saying she ain't going to come to the I'mma be there Friday. I'mma be there. On time. Bitch ass nigga. You sound shady on time. I mean same time. Macaroni and cheese and collard greens sound a little better.
Hey Mona, can you believe it's still talking about mac and cheese? Bring something for him to eat. No, he's not. Yes, he is. He said bring something for him to eat. He said she sound like mac and cheese. He said oh shut the fuck by y'all. Love y'all. See y'all Friday. Yo, you're an idiot though. Marcus. Absolutely love Mona there. Facts. And that was great. I listen when I was home I I said to my girl I I think without having talked to Mona I think that she DMed Cardi and apologized. Of course. Of course. You know who who Mona is. No. She really fucks with Cardi. That's what I'm saying. Like that wasn't my intention.
Let me clear that up immediately. Mona is the type that's going to let no shit just go. In general, she's not like intending to be disrespectful for the most part. She's not malicious at all. Yeah. You got to know how you come off. It's important. Yeah. And if she didn't give two fucks about Cardi, then I don't have nothing to say. Like if she had never spoken to her, never DMed her, don't you bitch, you just it ain't nothing there, then you have free feel free to say whatever it is you want to say. But because I know that Mona loves Cardi, because I know that they have interact, and because I know that Cardi has been a supporter of Mona, it ain't just like a one-way thing.
And also seems like a genuinely fucking great person for the most part. You know what I mean? I love all her stances, politically, otherwise. Yeah. Cardi, she's not like uh oblivious to shit. She's on point. She tapped in. She know what's going on. Yeah. Because of those things, I just thought making her the poster child for the colorism conversation. Not that she was wrong and whatever her assessment was, but I wouldn't have jumped to that. Like she said, off the old clip, off the edited clip. If you I think there's certain accusations that you if you throw out, boy, you better have them research to a T because they bold.
You got to know what the hot button topics are in the in the world to put on somebody. Hey, this person's abusive. Hey, this person uh fucking don't pay people back. Yeah. This person is a liar. This person's only way they off color yada yada yada yada. What Mark? I I don't I don't think it was a bold take or or extreme take cuz cuz she didn't say the latter thing. She didn't say like she's only there because of colorism. Her point was everybody is affected by colorism and she's not an exception. But I think the difference is what I didn't understand the last episode was the dynamic of their relationship because you could have that conversation without her as the center of it, especially if she's not a news pig.
I think and on a show like this when you have a news pig all of us trying to Yeah. Yeah. I'm with you. I just want to be clear. Um, cuz I I don't want to make it now that colorism becomes a thing that's, you know, a wild take a critique of colorism. I know you're not saying that. I just want to be clear. Definitely not saying that. I know you're not. And I want to be clear to the audience. But even in when when she's saying I should have researched it, what she's saying is the clip was two years old and it was edited and the and the whole clip Cardi acknowledges that hey colorism has played a part somewhere but that shouldn't be used to reduce me or discredit my hard work like yeah but but also right like we've been around a while Cardi was on this podcast in like year one maybe and her and I have had the going the been through the gauntlet of it like sometimes the experience is the lesson right like I'm I'm telling you this may be a hot button item for somebody.
This might be something that somebody is is grappling with on their own without you coming to add your powerful voice and your audience into that. And that's what and now you talking about you DMing. Now we just talking about you not coming off like a two-faced phony ass bitch. Well, that's the part. If you add my whole little from it. If you you in my DMs or there's interaction and yada yada yada. Nobody want to come off like that. Especially not the woman who has been pretty clear about bitches playing in her face and then going to fuck her husband.
Like there's all types of just things and fans think that these celebrities is just celebrities. So the fans come in with that very fan POV of oh she's right and these people don't want to speak their mind and these people protect their relationships and they're not giving it up. Shell shut the fuck up already, dog. Like these people ain't celebrities to to me. Like these are people that are going through human shit. And if you talk to them, either some of that shit you going to feel or some of that shit you ain't going to feel.
But I I don't think that that was Mona's stance with Cardi. So, you just want to always make sure to present yourself that way. And I I don't think there's anything wrong with preserving relationships. I I think we sometimes use that as like this criticism that to me ignores what it means to be human. Like or to be a friend. That's what I mean. Exactly. Which is part of being human. It's like if if Cardi had gone on a rant about anti-colorism or pro-colorism, whatever you want to say, like yesterday, then we have a duty to cover it as news people.
But two years ago, if a clip reemerges on TikTok and I have a relationship with that person, I looked to that person for advice, which is the part I didn't understand last week cuz I didn't know that I don't know their relationship. That wouldn't be the per that wouldn't be the story I'll pull up two years later to talk about. You know what I mean? I think in general. And that's research. Yeah. Being unresearched on something cuz if she's already cleared this up or addressed this, then it's a non it's a non-issue. You and I talked about this. That's not true. Why? Clearing it up and addressing it don't make it a non-issue.
People can I've I've experienced that personally. You clear it don't matter. Sometimes things Well, on your part, on your part, on your part, on your part, you address it, face it head on, clear it up to the best of your ability, and your part is done. That don't speak to how other people Right. That's what I'm saying. So, cuz he's saying digging a two year it don't matter. You've addressed it. You clear it up. You do what you need to do on your part. That ain't going to that don't mean it's over. That don't mean you're forgiven. The people like the people that you hurt or whatever, they could still feel that way.
They could bring it up every chance they get. Other people can this is new information to them. They didn't know. So now they're attacking on like that's what's happening with the Cardi situation. But if I if I and the beautiful thing, I'm sorry, is and the beautiful thing about being talented or being a podcaster, broadcaster, artist or whatever is anything in the world could be your muse. Like what inspires you to get passionate or what inspires you to want to speak on something can't nobody take away from you.
Facts. How you present that is totally up to you as a podcaster and broadcaster. Like the world don't have to know where your every inspiration comes from. Y'all seen this clip and Cardi B said and this is what I think about her saying. It's like have you can have your talk. You can just have it. Back to sober facts. Back to sober facts. Back to sober facts. Yes. You could have had that whole conversation without singling out a Norby and disrespecting them all. Fat Joe and doing that like switching back to two chains because most people are sensitive and may not even want to acknowledge that they are sensitive.
Yeah. Yeah. We all are sensitive. We all are. We all are. I didn't like I didn't like the fact that you you talked about it online. I didn't like that. Jumping spaces. Yeah. I thought that was I didn't I didn't like that. I didn't know why you chose to do that. I don't know why you chose to even give. I mean, you could do whatever you want, but I don't think any of us do that to you. I don't think we go on platforms. I don't know if that's you and Mona relationship, but that that just rubbed me the wrong way. And that was no different than what B did to me. And he shouldn't got criticized cuz he said a joke about me when he set it up here.
Then he went to talk about it. That's the same thing. He kind of what you did. And I I'm trying to understand or gauge. Is it like it's a hot topic? So let me get ahead of it. Is it like Well, I didn't think there was nothing for me to get ahead of. All right. But is it like I want to give these and you are it's you're entitled to give your supporters the firsthand uh opinion of for your your belief. But what about like camaraderie? What's the word? Camaraderie. What's the friendship? What about all that?
How somebody that works for you or work with you may feel of that you're going online and discussing me and you did say you spoke to her. So I didn't know that. But when I heard it, I'm like, "Come on, Joe. Fuck you talking about to these niggas?" You and maybe because I have an issue with maybe I could speak from a bias standpoint as well. Maybe cuz I have an issue with that. But I know that niggas won't do that to you. Any issue that niggas have, niggas ain't going up. Yo, Joe did this or yo, I think Joe was wrong. Niggas ain't doing that. So, is it a practice that niggas is just practicing? I don't think niggas should do that to the boss. Is it? Is it? No, but no, but niggas can.
Niggas can. Sober facts could, but a nigga ain't going to sober facts me. I mean, we got it everything to be seen. Ish had to call Mark down. What I'm saying, you know, take them in the hallway. But you know what I'm saying? Blow off some steam. Crazy. They they faking the jack. Where's where's the No, I understand your point. I didn't I didn't I didn't like that when I was having that conversation with with the community that in the middle of the conversation it got clipped up and said Joe says Mona should have dated cuz that's not what I said. Whatever they said, I said. So I fell for clip culture as well.
Well, yeah. Were you in there? Do you hear what I said? I was not in there. No. Then then you fell for the framing of something. But what I said in there was kind of what I kind of what I wanted to say here. Just Mona wouldn't allow anybody else to to speak on the matter. And at some point, sometimes rather, it's important for me to say what something is from me because something will get put on the entire platform. And we already been through this with her a million times.
So, if it's something that it ain't it ain't really got to go here and it ain't really about nothing, then yeah, let's let that be heard. And listen, y'all don't be people hear and see and look to hear every single thing that is said about them. That's a fact. And they got people that do it. That's so true. For sure. I appreciate you don't say the right word. I'm one of them niggas. Yeah. No, that could have that could have turned in the in in Cardi's house the little queen. I I was glad that it was direct to what her problem was and who it was about.
And she was extremely honest. Like Park said, she almost ran out of characters talking about that shit. But she was honest in it. Yo, it hurt me coming from you because yada yada yada yada. So that was that was Mona Cardi shit. Nothing to do with me. Shout out shout out shout out to Mona Mona for her humility. Shout out to accountability. Accountability. Yeah. Shout out to Mona for just acknowledging that. I definitely respect that. I mean a lot of y'all niggas and like I said and like I protect relationships. Hey, I don't go fuck with them niggas. Hey, you know them niggas got to try to appease y'all niggas. Hey, I'm a I'm a relationship protector.
What the fuck is he talking about? I'm a relationship protector. You know what I'm saying? I don't got to pretend and act like I'm criticizing and finding another word to criticize my man. I protect all relationships. You know why? Because I be outside and a lot of these niggas haven't got punch in the face in years or when they doing fucking wrestling, they hurt their knees. So they're not outside. They can't run. They try to go to the trunk. I don't mean to, nigga. I got these two dick beaters and I'm not playing. So at the end of the day, you can do it a time. You can handle two at a time. At the end of the day, very cocksore. At the end of the day, I protect my relationships whether you like it or not. Cuz I do feel like there's a way to not criticize the ones you love or there's a way to use a topic that your friends are involved in and take it off of them and let them catch what you were saying instead of directing them like we in the clip culture a lot.
So, I protect that shit. I just want to say that. See, a lot of y'all niggas say that. Yes. Queens flip do. Don't look for me for advice, nigga. Don't look to me. Don't. I'm not here to leave anybody. I'm here to fucking give my facts and protect my relationship because you niggas is ain't outside. And some of these niggas do this finger right here. When they walk past. They walk past. They walk past. They think I think it's going to go. He come up. The fans don't ever acknowledge that part. The fans don't acknowledge that little finger shit. They don't. Oh, you should have told. You should have really stood up and fighting your right.
You were right about you were right. You should have slipped. Why you didn't tell him you were cup? What Norby said all them people in the comments where they at. That finger should have you got to tell them that finger should have I ain't got to tell them shit. Fans are fans. Celebrities are celebrities. And there's a cost to being right. But you know what I like about you? There's a cost to being right. Right. Right at what cost? There's a cost to critique. I kick I kick I kick this back. That's my other thing about back back to Mona and Cardi. Like I was telling uh somebody I was telling earlier outside of Mona's reverence for Cardi which she has clearly for sure Cardi is corporate.
Yeah. So Cardi is a brand partner with people that with companies that I would think comedians want to be flying with or appear on. And all it takes in this business again, which is why fans is fans and celebs is celebs. Fans that don't cost you nothing in your living room to say what you want and be right. But in real life, all it take is for that person to do this to say, "Well, outside of that, in the corporate world, they doing this in the corporate world for that person."
Yeah, exactly. For that person to say, "You know what? Nah, I'm not comfortable working with her." Yeah. And then that message get passed. And that don't stop there. It don't stop there. That message is like the telephone game cuz now they found out and they found out now you hard to work with and now don't nobody want to fuck with you. I'm saying that as somebody that been through it probably still goes through it, but I'm on top of my game, so them fuck niggas can't do nothing with me. Fuck they talk about. But you Yeah. I mean, you got to see an empath bag more as time cuz I did my research back in the days.
You got to see an empath bag more where you're able to identify how someone would feel and not want them to feel that way cuz you wouldn't want to feel that. I got into my empath bag after I realized the world was listening. Yeah. I was just about to say when the podcast was getting 30,000 spins and we were doing the shit in my basement. Say what you want. Easy to say. I love the podcast. Fly off the hip. Get it all off. But that's what kill that's what kill me when they sit there and say, "Yo, niggas don't give it up like you used to." But they don't give them back like nigga, that's growth. I watch Joe sit here if somebody's offended.
I watch him and I watch him sit here and ponder like he's not pretending or scared. He's just like I that was never my intent to make you feel that way. That was not my intent to make you feel that way. And even when somebody did similar playing around with him, how he responds to that, he said, "Yo, you know what? I'm not going to do this, but I may not no longer support." You know what I'm saying? So, I watch him practice what he preach. You know what I mean? Yeah. So, it is what it is. Mona, we love you. We love you, Mona. We love you. We love you, man. Love you. And you know what I mean?
Hopefully, Cardi sends the doctor over. The belly button doctor, whatever the fuck you said, man. Those are good doctors. What? I heard that was that's some good girl shade. Yo, that's some good girl shade. Don't think about like three words. That shade was so good. Mona had to say something. I like my belly button. Girl shade be hitting different, yo. It's true. Yeah. They play they play dirty. The belly button. Man, nigga said that to somebody. Look at your belly button, nigga. You can't say that to a nigga. You can't get that off as a dude. Anyway, uh what else?
What else? What else? What else? What else? I feel like we squashing all beefs. I want to give you something. I want to give you something. This was um friend of the show. Salahi actually sent this for he said to give it to you and Shade. It's his his uh he said it's a engagement present from him. Oh, nice. All right. Oh, that's nice. It's fine. Yeah, it's it's this is this is really nice. Slay probably would have looked a looked a little better if you were there to see us in person like you were supposed to be there for the invitation that we sent you who hit me and said no, I will be there.
You know, I'm not really sure it's not my bag. And I said no, please, please, please. I need if anybody I need to be there is you. And you gave me your word and said I'll be there. Now you send me a fucking picture. This is cute. Thank you. It's better than cute. Thank you. No, I appreciate it. This is super fly, but I I'm still mad. I'm still mad. Don't try to He did me right. Got my baby nose a little crooked, but we'll talk about it. My baby nose ain't crooked like them. Watch your fucking mouth, nigga. Baby, take this. Stupid. Yo, look at her. She's so strong. Seven months. Yo, stop.
Look, seven months. She's still there. My baby. You can't say you can't keep saying that. Yo, you cannot. She's strong. It's going to stop. All right. Take it back. I take it back. Yeah, please. I take it back. I'm done. I'm done. Anyway, uh come on. We squashing all beefs today. What else? What other be? Angela Right. Yeah. You have so much to say about sober facts and Nor and all this other shit. Get to your educator business, nigga. First of all, did everybody go out and vote? Everybody vote? Everybody vote? All right. We got a park vote. You all know what I was talking about. Are you going to Are you going to.
If I get out of here on time. If I get out of here on time. You won't. I'm telling you what I'm saying. If I get out of here on time. No, no, you won't late. I think we'll be fine. Are they overlay with tennis clothes? I think eight or nine or something. Yeah. Depending on where you're at. You won't be out. You won't be out. I don't vote him. Mark, you voted. I will be. Okay. Yeah. You know. Oh, you got half. You niggas could have mailed it in. My daughter told to me about that. Went early like I did. No, normally I do it the morning of, but again flip. I know I was dealing with I said my daughter talked to me about that this morning. Voted in Jamaica and shit, right?
Daughter, your 16-year-old daughter 17 talk to you about voting. Yeah. I mean, kids my daughter told me that I should vote. Do you vote in states? 17 is almost 18. Yeah, should be 18 next year. He'll be high, nigga. I slapped the shit out. Hey, yo, you know what's the point? Yo, I got to get smacked for saying that 17 is almost 18. I was never staying, nigga. Open my eyes. I'm going to follow up. Speaking of speaking of speaking of my daughter, I got a shout out my man Mark Lionel.
You know what I mean? I wanted to shout him out. You know, yeah, man. Well, he's corny when it comes to that, but when it comes to family, he was good. Like my daughter been having some issues when it comes to the common app and preparing for college, which you know she said she was depressed and all that stuff. And me being a parent, I'm looking at it like, you know, we're living good. You know, our lives has changed. What is there to be depressed about? Ignorant. Ignorant. It's ignorance. I didn't go to college. I tried to sneak into Kingsborough and pretend that I was there for one day and they got me out of there. Kingsborough would definitely know that you weren't supposed to be there. Like you should have tried to Kingsborough.
Yeah, I was in there. That's never happening. Yeah. So, so what I'm saying is that so she was going through that. Kingsborough used to have that. I'm about to say that some yam and then I was with my children up for Kingsborough when you was in Jamaica, nigga. Kingsborough had him. So, so anyway, so you know, we've been filming content flip the family with me and my family. She's fire by the way. New show up here. Mark contacted me. He said, "Yo, anything when it comes to princess, you know, I'm wanting to give a hand, help her and everything like that." Um, I said, "Yo, can we do it for some do with some content?"
I did. I did. I don't care. I just want to help her with college. I don't got to be I didn't know we gonna do this, but you know, I'm happy to do it. It's not weird content fan. It's weird shit. Content demon. Content demon. Content demon. See, I'm giving him a compliment and you disrespecting my family. See what I'm saying? I never would do. Hey, what my daughter say? Hey, like that, nigga. I thought you see. Yeah, go ahead. That's another letter. So, so my daughter really my daughter really my daughter really appreciated that though, ma. For real. I let them crack jokes.
Listen, I care about my family, boy. My my wife is not away and my I'm not hiding my my wife neither. So, I care about my family. What I'm saying is that yeah, she be there right. She be there. But it's cool. It's cool. 18 back again. I don't want to diss y'all niggas. I could I got get both of y'all. I'm dissing you. You brought to my family. I love y'all. Okay, keep going. I'm going to thank you. So good. I'm going to thank you, Mark. And I'm going to thank you too for your your ignorance. I'm happy to help. That meant a lot to her cuz you was on speaker, which I didn't know. I didn't know I was having a conversation.
You and other people listening. Did not know you was on speaker. We recording the conversation. I did not record. No. He records conversation. He recorded. He recorded. He was like, "Yeah, my daughter loved what you said." I was like, "I wasn't talking." She really she really appreciated it. Especially somebody that come from, you know, somebody like you, you know, she did the research on who you are and that it meant a lot to her to just help her navigate that cuz I was stuck at a point. I'm like, "I'm going to figure it out." The common app just going to add the common. I'm like, "Oh, this shit. What the fuck?" It's all I've been through it a million times and I'm happy to help off air. Comment with your with your with your with your daughter and anybody else who needs help. Thank you so much.
You know. Yeah. Cuz back then they didn't have the comment app. They had a fucking a fucking a blue sheet, nigga. Oh, you talking about your daughter on air? No, I'm talking about him back in the day going to college. I don't want to play with your daughter. Don't play with no shout out the niggas that try to suck up during renegotiation. You try to be cool with your man. He don't even know what he talking. I'm going to fucking bitch out the niggas that try to suck up during renegotiation. I don't have to suck up, nigga. I don't half the time. Half timer, nigga. He can do whatever he want. That's my man. God.
God don't play about me. I didn't play about him. Enjoy what? It just so happens. Fuck you talking to, nigga? We don't even do contract talking. Yeah. Cain and Abel, nigga. It don't matter. They called me Cable. I'm both them niggas together. It wasn't a plan for your contract to end right around the time that my daughter was born. And I'm not going to look to shed. I'm fine with that. I'm not going to. I still love you. That's a difference. I'm not like these other niggas. I don't got to like them. Yeah. I still love you. Yo, can I ask y'all two stupid questions? Please. No questions. And then we get into Angela Right. But I'm acknowledging that these stupid questions.
So, y'all don't have to tell me I'm stupid. So, such a stupid question. Do y'all do y'all do y'all do y'all respect men that were born in November? I'm sure. Yes. I have some friends. My brothers were born in November. No, no. Outside of family. Come on. Not your family. Other men. That's what I'm saying. I don't really know. Y'all respect dude. Scorpio was born in November. My cousin was born in November. My brother's brother was born in November. I don't know. November 4th. What does that mean? How you know? What does that mean? I don't know. Same as my brother. The same day as my brother.
They born the same day. Same day and date. You know what I mean? Same and and he's hearing every everything said. So I hear I hear that he's hearing. I'm telling y'all doing your push up. I'll tell y'all that much. Search out membership. Hey, he still got that tablet. Yo, you fucking rat nigga. Hear it all. Don't ask how I heard. All right. So, y'all do respect. All right. Colin Kaplan's birthday is today also. Yeah. Happy birthday to Colin Kaplan.
Happy birthday. All right. So, y'all do respect men that was born in November. All right. No beef. No beef. My last question to y'all. How many bites do it take y'all uh to finish a double egg? I don't eat that. I don't eat double eggs. Well, it's a one it's a one biter. Penis. It's a one biter. One biter. It's a one biter. One gulp. I mean, I guess let's some one gulp. Gulp is doing a lot. He freaks it up. He slurp it up. You know how do you how do you freeze? I don't eat double eggs. It's too messy to do it. You don't eat double eggs. What do they call it in that in your I think you squire.
He eat it. They just don't they just don't call it that. That's funny. That is hilarious. Mark, I don't eat double eggs. Nobody eat double eggs. Nobody. None of y'all eat. You do. You eat double eggs. I do. I ain't lying. I don't believe him either. I'll take I'll go step out. I've never eaten one. I've never had one in my whole life. I serve in my house. Don't eat ever. You had good double eggs at your house. I take your word for it. Why don't why don't y'all eat double eggs? It's disgusting. It's disgusting. For me, it's the look and texture.
I like the way them shit look. I don't eat mushy shit. I'm not the biggest fan of hard boiled eggs, but a deviled egg is different. I love hard boiled eggs. I don't eat hard boiled eggs. I love hard boiled eggs. Wait, y'all don't eat hard boiled eggs? You don't know that mean either. I'm not the biggest fan. I'll eat about a salad, but that's not my thing. I don't like scrambled mine and put some cheese in it. I eat fried eggs. Yeah. And I'm a egg fucking fried egg. I love scrambled eggs. I could eat scrambled eggs every day. That's it. That's only where I'm eating eggs. I got a hard boiled egg with some salt and pepper. Yo, you did. So, will you cut it open and put the salt and pepper on it? I'm engaged.
Wait, what a fucking egg. Cut it open. Oh, my foot. My foot. What are you talking? What the hell is he talking about? Of course I would. If I had to do that, I would never eat it. This nigga is a fool. Yo, that's funny. Oh my lord. What makes a devil egg? How do how long does it take you to take one down? Like, how do you take one down? Bad experience. Here come your man. Here come here come your man.
How much you? Uh, depend. Oh, I want it. Is it a jump? You drunk? Is it an egg? It's all it has everything to do with it. You can do two at once like you on a hookup. Yeah. Now you answer. That was three. Now you answer though. Yo, if you drunk a horn. I've never had two at one time. That's a weird thing. That's even a weird ask amongst deviled egg eaters. Yo, don't call yourself an eater, yo.
Yo, Angela Right and Angela Right. Listen, we squashing all beefs today. We squashing all beefs. All right. What she did? Content demon. Angela Right is fighting with some lady named Brandy. Take it away, Mark. I thought you were going to take it away. Why would I? I'm not that fucking educator. Yeah, I'm fucking dropped out. Nigga, get in your bag. I don't have the ring. Usually, when you're cornering me, I don't have the ring. You set up the story and then say, "What do you think, Mark?" That's that's usually how it's going. Wait, you think I'm trying to corner you with the Angela Right story?
Yeah. Why? Because about five minutes ago you said you talk all that shit about sober facts. What do you got to say about Angela Right? Because I know that you and Angela Right are cool and I ain't got no beef with Angela Right. Shout out to Angela Right. She got a lot of great shit going on. She's the best. But uh with the election, with the midterms, things got spicy where she was going back and forth with a content creator by the name of Brandy. What is her whole what's her her tag? I don't want to mess up her her her she's been going she's been going back and forth with a young lady named Brand.
Well, start with Obama, right? So, she so Angela was talking. One of the things she said was Obama doesn't do enough or hasn't done enough politically. She had a critique of a political critique of Obama. Some people said this Angela Right. Got it. Then people on the internet were pushing back against uh Angela to which Angela kind of said and I've you know she said basically that there are people who have criticisms and critique but they haven't necessarily they don't have the full understanding the full context. We actually can we play the clip cuz I don't want I don't want to misrepresent what she said.
Here it is. And the lady's name is Brandy the Millennial Manager. There we go. The Millennial Manager. Here it is. Cuz you never worked on the hill. Miss because you never worked on the hill. Okay. Miss because you never worked on the hill. You didn't work in an administration. You ain't even worked in city hall. I'd invite you to get beyond your experience. And I'm not telling you to, you know, shut up and dribble. I'm not telling you to shut up and do your corporate job or whatever it is that you do. I'm not telling y'all to shut up and just create content.
But I am saying understand that there's range and some of y'all are lacking it, frankly. So that's what I'm missing. You know, two thoughts. First, I agree with her. Okay. Um, I also understand how people you agree with her on what the argument she was making, which is that there are people who are making critiques of politics or involved in political conversation who don't necessarily have the experience necessary to make certain judgments of people who who do have it.
Um, but I think that so she criticizes Obama. She's saying things he could do. She's she's saying things that he could do politically right now. And people with no political experience saying that's not true. And she's saying, "Well, I've worked in Capitol Hill. I've worked in every branch of government. I understand these different avenues. I understand how this works. And I'm telling you as somebody who knows this that that's not true." And so you're arguing with her and Brandy we're going back and forth about. Yes. That's what I'm saying. And so the people were criticizing Angela and Angela responded with this.
And so Brandy took the and specifically people have interpreted this statement that we just played as a response to Brandy. Got it. Yeah. So she never said Brandy's name, but that's how that's how Brandy's taking. That's how the internet's taking it. I'm going to operate from the assumption that it was a response to Brandy as well. Cuz Brandy was talking about uh New York school, I mean school systems and the teachers and the kids and all of this shit. Cuz part of what she's saying, what Brandy's saying and other people have said is, "Look, I live politics. I have an experience.
I grew up in this city. I have these experiences. This thing happened to me. I navigate the world. Politics is my life. Not because I'm a politician, but because I'm a citizen who experiences this shit." And the criticism of Angela was that she was was elitist. And people start talking about Jack and Jill, blacks and and the the the elite blacks who think that only people who have a certain resume can be involved in politics. And that's the that's the criticism of it. If that's what was communicated, then that's on Angela. The message or the messaging, right? Cuz that's not what the message that should be sent out.
You absolutely shouldn't tell people that they can't be involved in politics unless they have a certain resume. And honestly, some of the most sophisticated political tacticians, some of the most thoughtful political critics haven't had the resume or the degree or that kind of shit. So, I'm not I'm not supporting elitism, but I don't think Angela was either. I think what Angela's saying is sometimes y'all don't know what you're talking about and sometimes you have to defer to expertise. If I watch a football game or a basketball game and I say, "Well, you should have run this play, you should have run that play." Sometimes we right, but sometimes the coach who has a high level of understanding understands why it wasn't so simple as to just do X, Y, or Z.
And if the coach says, "Look, y'all don't know the game like I do because I've been playing it and coaching it for 50 years, I don't know if that's elitism. I think that that's I think that that's something else. And I think there has to be room for both conversations. I don't think it's elitism. It's more expertise. That's how I see it. I think in this particular instance, Marcus Kaplan for his friend. No, no, I'm not. I think in this particular instance, he's right. In this particular instance, but we see it across the boards oftentimes that in any time, you think that means on the media?
No, no. Anytime in politics, they have that stance. Yes. It's funny, right? That stance is like, "Yo, you don't know what you're talking about." So, you should honestly shut up and dribble. And I think in media period, we have that stance. And so oftentimes, um, I've heard political pundits talk about economics. I've heard political pundits talk about other shit, and they don't take their advice to shut up and dribble because this is not your area of expertise. So, in this particular instance, if Angela's saying, "Yo, Obama's not doing enough," based on her level of experience that she feels Obama's not doing enough, then she is well within her right to say that because she's been in this field for over a decade.
And that's and it's also opinionated. You know what I'm saying? Cuz Obama could feel, "I am doing enough." So, it it's still opinionated and she's entitled to her opinion. So, I I don't disagree with it. I do disagree with the sentiment that, "Yo, if I haven't worked in these areas for a certain amount of time, then I don't have the range to comment on it because we see people in media do that shit every day, all day." But sometimes they'd be wrong. It's possible. Yeah. And and and that's what I'm saying. I I but they don't shut up. Yeah. And I and I like that she said, "I'm not saying shut up and dribble. I'm saying keep talking. You can you everybody's entitled to an opinion.
Everybody should involve themselves in the process." But she said, "Try to see yourself beyond your experience." In other words, like that's shade. And I was about to and I'm adjust I'm adjust cover up that that is shade. It is. Uh, I'm and again across the board seem like a lot of people are just not really aware how they come off. And I'm not talking about whether Angela was right or wrong in her assertion. I'm only talking about how she come off when you say things like, "I I beg you to get beyond your experience and this is out of your range and all that shit that she just said in that clip."
It comes off very smug. It comes off very condescending. It doesn't come off like a more experienced person trying to educate. And that was my first point, right? That's what I say. Like the message does matter because if people walk away feeling alienated from the process or feeling like you want to alienate me from the process, then the message wasn't effective. So I think so that's why I say I'm not championing the delivery, but I don't want us to confuse the delivery with the point. That's all I'm saying. I wouldn't say it that way. Maybe in frustration I would or maybe like talking shit to y'all like this motherfucker never did like we all do that, right?
Right. Right. Right. You know, um, side. Yeah. But like at the core, at the core like you know like but when you hear people publicly that the comp all right so we going to say you Angela uh Bakari it's others we look to these young black people that resonate with us for guidance politically right because in our communities of course we're not voting at the clip that we should be so when you tell somebody in a in a that type of manner those be the same people that we want to encourage to go out and vote.
Exactly. So if you saying that to them in that manner, then that's discouraging. Like, yo, well, I'm dumb. I don't know enough to go vote. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's kind of I agree. That's why I say the message has to I think the way you do it is to say, "Hey, y'all, I hear what y'all are saying, but trust me on this, but it's more complicated than that. Um, here's why we can't just do X. Just like in sports. Here's why I couldn't just give the ball to Mike and tell everybody clear out. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, we all we all considered that shit, you know, etc., etc., etc.
Now, I know in a moment of frustration, usually I say nothing, but I I we want to be like, "What the fuck are you talking about?" The elite is stopped in frustration. The first time I the first time I um Yeah, for sure. For sure. Yeah. I'm not I'm not I'm not I know. Absolutely. I mean, the first time my wife and I ran our podcast, right? There was an audio issue. The second time, second episode, there was an audio issue and like like 10 fans saying, "You guys should use mics." Now, what happened was there was it was a remote mic. There was a signal issue. It was all the shit that was going on and all people said it was use mics.
Why didn't you call parks? Right. Which which you know we could have. But the point was like nigga, I know the fucking I've been doing this for 20 fucking years. You don't think I considered using a fucking microphone on an interview? Like there so there's a way that sometimes the the the peanut gallery is is saying the dumbest shit in your mind and you're frustrated by it and there's no way to say you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, especially in a moment of crisis other than to be like, "You don't know what the fuck you're talking about." I'm not saying that's the right answer. I'm just saying I understand that temptation, but we got to fight that temptation. Yeah.
It's too easy to fight the urge to say nothing. Right. Right. Cuz it's really all that happens. That's really all that you can do in that instance that you're describing. It's a which is what I did, but it took a lot. But in the case of politics, it's more complicated because the people who are commenting, you want them engaged, right? Yeah. You and you want them to have a better idea of what the situation is. You can't achieve that by belittling them. And you can't achieve it by saying nothing. So then you got to find the right thing to say. Through the frustration. Through the especially when you're frustrated.
That's where it gets tricky. Yeah. Especially when you're frustrated, man. So see, there's no beef here. That's people, man. I love Angela. You know what I mean? I think she's nice. She's a nice lady. She's she's she's she's committed. She's brilliant. She's passionate. I like her a lot. Yeah. No, she's dope, you know, and dealing with the public is hard. Yeah. Everybody out there, yo, you be aware how you come off. Speaking of which, we did get a two chains update. He tweeted, "I got a chance to speak to Keith after the podcast and it was all love. I know my words offended some people and I apologize for that.
What I said and what I meant were two different things. I could have done a better job of getting my point across." Tony, I like that. Well said. Well said. Straight to the point. Speaking of how you come off, I want to ask the beef today. I love it. Speaking of how you come off, I want y'all opinion on something real fast. Won't take long. Am I a Karen? Yes. Yes. Yes. It didn't take long at all. You are Karen. It did not take long. You're right. Look at your jeans, man. All right, let's do it again. Definitely Karen jeans. Not Donna.
Not Donna. On Friday night, Joe was kind of there. Oh, he he's kind of shit. On Friday night, I'm at my house enjoying a much-needed respite on my couch. 10:00 at night. 9:00 at night. I just got home from a long day of taping the Joe Budden podcast. I'm sitting there and all here's right break in your house.
No, not in your crib, right? No, it wasn't in my crib. And if you ask me that question again, I'm going to pretend you called me a sucker. I want to fight you. You got bad knees. I do. That's hilarious. So my wife texted me and said, "Yo, do you hear that shit?" What the fuck? You bring me through a I'm left-handed. I just want you to understand. Um, and I'm like, "Yeah, I hear that shit."
She's like, "Where's it?" So, I'm look I'm looking out the window. I don't see nobody. And so, I go outside. I put on my shoes. I go outside and I'm looking for this noise. I have to walk a whole block over to find that these kids, they look like kids to me. Teenagers. Teenagers are having a fucking Halloween party and there's like a hundred of them. Okay. Okay. It's a Friday night. Yo, you can buy me some beer, OG. It's literally mischief night. So, I put my hood on and I walked through the party. I was going to help you.
Hold on. Hold on. Walking in the hood in his neighborhood. That probably didn't help because this was a very white party. Well, and be clear, Mark hoodies don't fit the description. Yeah. I don't look like I don't look violent. Go ahead. Go ahead. So, I'm walking through the party looking for an adult. So, you weren't in the party. They were all outside for the most part. And this was like a fancy house. The first floor had like a pool or some shit. I don't know. Some fancy shit I couldn't understand. I just was trying to find an adult right block behind yours. Same area. Yeah. Very go ahead.
It's a story of two blocks. Go ahead. Go ahead. And I couldn't find one. And then finally this kid and so I started videotaping the party. Ah, you're a Karen. No. No. To do what? To send to my wife to be like, "Look at this shit happening." I wasn't videotaping to send to no like the police. Yeah. 911 chat here. I'm I'm videotaping just to say just to say y'all like y'all I I seen I found a party. That's it. That's all I'm videotaping it for. But the kids like why are you videotaping? Why are you video? Now he's like kind of running up on me. I'm like I had to pull my hood down like I beat the shit out of you.
Relax. Now you about to beat the kids up. No, but I'm just like yo, relax. So finally one of the wrestlers. Everyone you know it. So then finally like the kid walks up. I heard one of the kids say like um oh my god is that an adult like climbing me like I'm like trying to be at the party man. You they hyped so they they don't even know and I'm black fellow kids. Right. Exactly. And I'm black. I'm like I don't want like no creeping. I don't want no police coming for me. So I'm like yes I'm an adult. I'm your neighbor and I'm calling.
I'm coming around here because the music is too loud. You're waking me up. You're waking my child. Is there another adult here? I didn't ask that, but I could see there was no adults here. These were some unsupervised ass kids. They were making out in the corner. There was a beer I saw in the thing. How dare they? Oh my. So I went over and demanded that they turn the music down. Nigga, they should have jumped you. And then I went back. But I didn't call the police. The point is I didn't call the police. I just demanded that the the music came down cuz I didn't want to hear that drum. Demanded. Did you ever hand on your hands, nigga?
You're like this. I did an adult demand something and our kid kicked back. Yeah. The the music was down before I even got back to my house. It was like a three or four minute walk back to my house. What time did the music go back up once you It didn't go back up. They were cool about I think they thought I was going that would have been us whipping on Mark if it had been y'all I wouldn't I wouldn't have went around there. Oh, you knew about the music. It was safe to go. Yeah. Is that Karen behavior? Honestly. Yes.
Yes. Nah, it's not. Yes. That's why I say he knew about the music that it was safe to go. So what the fucking acid crash that bitch. I pay taxes. It's Karen shit. What are you doing? Telling me that you pay taxes. It's Karen shit. It's Karen shit. My hands up. Karen. In in non-Karen behavior, there's some nights where you supposed to tuck your inner Karen no matter how you feel about it. Yeah. Halloween mischief night one. New Year's Eve is to like there's there's nights 4th of July.
I think no shit going to happen. As long as it's not every single night like rock out. As long as it's not like it's one night. It's 9 10:00 at night. It ain't 3:30 in the morning. Even if it's 3:30 in the morning. Have a chill out. 3:30. All right. So okay. So only on the first got different. No, he talking cuz he's not hearing him get down. That's why he talking that way. I'm guilty. Yeah. These motherfuckers don't 3:30 in the morning. You're getting the police called on. You call the police? No. I don't.
Okay. What do you do if 3:00 in the morning you can't sleep and your newborn baby your newborn baby is is is awake because what do you do? Uh, hold my baby. Rock him to sleep. Rock my baby. Rock him. Jazz. Not yet. I'm not calling the police. Put on the YouTube fireplace. I'm never calling the police. I don't believe calling the police. But you wouldn't go over there and say, "Can you turn it down at 3:30?" I don't know about that cuz that's the question. I'm not you knock on somebody's door at 3:30. Yeah. 3:30 in the morning. You knocking on somebody's door. They've been partying all night. They drunk. I wouldn't do that.
That might not end well for you. I wouldn't do that cuz I know me and I'm not going to say nothing that's going to be taken politely. He going to give them that condescending voice. They going to say one thing slick and then at 3:30 in the morning ain't even going to be condescension. At 3:30 we go get right we get right to it at 3:30 in the morning. What do you do? It's it's say it's not three. There's one in the morning. Go home. Fucking see what's going on. Wonder why JR is blasting. I'll be right there, Link. I'll be right there. Be there an hour.
Oh, shit. You know, the funny thing about it is that I I accept I accept that. I accept that. Um, well, I I wouldn't get beat up. I I would actually go there. Um, I wouldn't call the police. And two, you know, you taking a camera? No, I'm not taking a camera. I I go talk to them. You would tell them to turn it down, though. Yeah, I asked them to turn it down. Would you tell them to turn it down? Not at 10:00. Not 9:00 on a Friday. Y'all all Karen's got different 3 in the morning. 3 in the morning. Friday night. The night before Friday night. Halloween night. I I know what it is. And Karen, we being nice going to a Karen. Y'all all are Karens with different curfews.
Everybody up here said they would do it just at a different time. And I I wouldn't do it unless it started to become No. 3:34 in the morning. You're not a Karen. Cuz at first I was going to say you're right. But nah, if it's repetitive and they do it frequently, that's something different because now you you you interrupting my way of life. You know what I'm saying? It's like quiet hours at this is let me tell you I had a I had some uh neighbors that were from south of Texas. I know you ain't going to knock on their door. And when I tell you the horn section, the horn they had to band out that and I'm not joking.
They had to band. It was like 4 in the morning. But I'm talking about every it's like your mom nigga. What y'all doing y'all? That's a lot. What y'all doing? Nigga, not you. I've been right over that bitch. Y'all have mixed Cuban and Mexican music, but they mix all. I don't know what I think. No, so depend. Yeah. Like is it they was wilding out? Are the speakers outside or am I just getting bass? If I'm just getting bass, I sleep through that. No, it depends. I really don't care. Speakers outside screaming. It's just that it was waking the kid up and I I was I didn't want to have to spend time with him.
It was 9:00. You created a tone challenge. He was wilding. He was wilding. 9:00 Friday. 9:00 10:00. It ain't no Wednesday night. It's a weekend, my nigga. Come on. Okay. I'll give him later next time. I'll give him to midnight. The weekend before Halloween. On a Friday. The night before. Night before Halloween. You've been sensitive. No. No, my nigga. You've been sensitive at the table. Sensitive at the table. Very intense with your like and it's been powerful. Sensitive and it's been powerful. Powerful sensitivity.
That's funny, yo. Um, I know we didn't touch much on music this podcast, but I do think that it should be noted that Gabby Mhm. previewed some music and I'm going to play it for y'all. Please do. Gabby is her and her is her literally. Yeah. And she's her and her is her. She's her for sure. So yeah, she was performing. Oh, I'm too good. I could buy gonna have to burn you.
It's a long list of niggas that I could do. Yeah. Somebody come burn you. Did you miss me? Did you miss me? Yes. Yeah. See. Yes. Big time. Desperately. I'm telling you guys I don't want you to miss me. Did you miss me? Absolutely genius to make the time you've been gone a tangible thing in the song.
That's what gets me. Why you have to go and make it hard? Need a CDQ on this. You broke my heart too. You don't even know the how. Thought that you were the one. I always been bad. I'm too focused on the past. I promise I miss the facts.
The place that you always want to get back to that. I can't even lie. I'll say lie. I'm feeling a way. Y'all, I don't know if y'all can really hear, but even if you can't, this shit's fire. This is fire. This shit's fire. We need the CDQ version of this immediately. Did you miss me? Oh, yes, we did. This other new song here called Friends. There's her on the banjo. Let's go her. Who I know that you thought of? He's so gassy. Don't think anyway. Oh, now you mad at me, but they just don't want to be friends. They just want to get you all alone when you're lonely.
They just want to put it. It's hard. Sounds good. I'm ready for I'm ready for the project. Me too. I look too good to let you break me. Yes, you do. That too. I look too good to give you anything. All right, man. Brand new herb previews. I'm ready. I'm ready for sure. My body is ready. And this uh this is from R&B Live out in Dallas, which I hear was all types of amazing.

You can't either. Act tough. I'm a cowboy. Act tough. Act tough. What's the last game you've been to? That's a goal. What's the last game you've been to? 2025 opener, right? 2024. Yeah, it's been a while. It's been a second. Yeah. I'm muted up. I'm going to play all games. Um, I don't have nothing else. I don't have I don't have nothing else. Anything else in music? Anything else in music?
Yes. Oh, just real quick. Uh, we've been we've been shouting out his voice and mentioning him. Tyler of Tyler Perry. My god. Um, Kirk Franklin uh has a new album out. Shout out to Kirk Franklin. Uh, made uh a new album. It's two discs. First album is all uh, you know, a new song. Second one is live. Some live tracks. Um, really good gospel album. If you're in the gospel, I think you'll like it. Uh, the production is great. Songwriting is great. Uh, some great guest appearances. It's not just the Glow Rilla track.
It's uh, uh, some other great, great songs on there. I wanted to uh, uh, what's what's that brother's name? He was just up here the other day. My brain is freezing cuz it's late in the day. Uh, I'll pull it up for you. I really like the song. Uh, and the album is called I Am What I Am. Uh, from Davido. Thank you. My brain was freezing. He's a song called Hoping You by Davido. That's dope. Uh, but the whole album is good. Jelly Roll is on here. Davidos on here. Glow Rilla is on here. It's It's a relatively short first disc, but it's seven tracks, but it's great. The second disc is seven tracks. Also really good. Again, if you love gospel, I think you'll love this.
And if you love Kirk Franklin, there's some songs that are right in the mix of like a a Kirk Franklin flow and then there's some other stuff that's a little different. There's some Afrobeat on there. If you like if you like Afrobeats, you'll love this. Uh, it's just there's some spoken word. He raps a little bit. It's it's a lot of different sounds on here, but I think it's it's a great message of like hope. It's upbeat. It's good to drive to. It's dope. I liked it. Okay. Great. Shout to Kirk, man. Shout shout out to Kirk, man. Anything else in music? Anything else in music we need? Actually, maybe not so much in music, but before we get out of here, I do want to say congratulations to Drewsky and hit the round of applause on him.
Uh, he announced a multi-year partnership with Netflix. It's dope. Uh, and the first thing they're leading out with is a show, a spoof show about the comedy. I mean, the pastor, the pastorship. Let me look up the name of that. Uh, but it's him and Mike Apps. If you've seen his skits, they put out a nice little teaser trailer kind of combining all of the skits. Uh, but I know we've been asking for a Netflix style show from Drewsky for quite some time. He's been absolutely killing it out here.
I look forward to seeing what this show looks like. Collecting praise. Collecting praise. Could not be happier for Drewsky, man. Well deserved. You worked for it. Congrats. I cannot wait to support. And you preachers out there. I don't know the name of preacher dude that's in the $4,000 massage chair giving the fucking giving the sermon. But are y'all doing this on purpose? Like, are y'all trying to make the Drewsky show? It seems like some of y'all are reaching to be in the Drewsky show.
If you're a pastor, we selling hope. What did he say? I'm We're not standing in faith. We sitting in it. It was a good line, though. All right. You're trying to make the Drewsky show. We showing you what abundance looks like. That shit did look fine. If this happened, if God made this happen for me, you continue to donate and tithe and he can make it happen for you, too. See, see, look at you. Your faith. Your grandparents going to call you. It's faith. They're going to call you. Faith. Faith base. A $4,000 Osaki Chomp 2 massage chair.
By the way, them chairs are amazing. I don't know if y'all ever sat Osaki one with some bullshit. Keep paying you. Keep paying your tethers. What? Keep paying your tethers. Send that over. Just send over that tethers. Send that over, man. We know what you make. You had to give us your W2. You became a member. Yo, ain't lock the door back there. Yo, ain't nobody, yo, ain't nobody leaving till we get that to this, too. We lock lock the fucking door. But we wrap. You know what? Oh, man. These niggas is asking for I hope fucking Eric Adams cousin is good.
What's my man? Whitehead. Bishop Lamar Whitehead. I hope I hope Lamar Whitehead is all right. Oh, man. I hope he's good, man. We didn't talk about the Turkey Leg, uh, hut co-founder getting nine years for arson, which really confused me when I was talking to my girl about it. I'm like, nine years for arson. Was somebody in there? And she said, "Yes." All right. I walked. All right. All right. You got it. I don't think you should do nine years for burning down the your competition's business. I don't. I don't. How long should you do?
Not nine years. So give me a number. Which that sounds okay for you. Five. Five. Five. You get out in three. Do five. Get out in three with good behavior. One of them good programs. Or don't burn the shit down. No, we burning down. No, we definitely burning. We're burning down the the opposing, the ops business, the competition business that's thriving in in the city. You going to jail, Greg. Who's supposed who's supposed to pay for my shit? They should get insurance. Whose insurance? Somebody's insurance. Yours and mine. There you go. Now they fucked up.
The insurance company is going to make sure you do. God damn. I'm not beefing with you. You burn down a $2 million building and some shit. All right. You mad it's whipping you off, nigga. I'm not. No, they should be paid. Okay. And somebody should fix that. Mhm. Nine years, though, for a good idea. Now, nine years makes it not such a good idea. So, you sent a message to the rest of them. Somebody was in there. It's cuz people was in there. So, you said, "Wait, I'm not. I do not condone do it after hours. I do not condone lighting fire to buildings while people are there.
I want to be totally clear on that. Or if they're not. All right. So, when they're not there, but if nobody's there. Yeah. 2:30 in the morning empty. And that building is doing the same thing my building is doing. And they're still opening your eyes. Yeah. Stealing my fucking clientele, my customers. Hey, at 3:00 in the morning. Usher, Joe, second degree felony is standard arson. Punishable by Yes. Punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison. In Texas. In Texas. It's arson. Yes. 2 to 20 years. What about New York?
Hold up. New Jersey, nigga. I'll be damned. First degree. I'll be damned if I'm Jersey Mike's and a new sandwich spot open up across the street, nigga. Hey, we burning that. I am down. Hey, hey, we burning down a little. What is it? What's the new spot name? Fucking Jersey Bill. Open a sandwich spot across the street named Jersey Bill and see what I do when y'all close at 3:00 in the morning. See if I don't send some niggas over there to burn it down. Nigga, we're going to get you a turkey. Yo, you better get the fuck out of here. Leave these people alone, yo.
Yeah, it's over, man. Nine years in New Jersey. In New Jersey, cuz you asked. Second degree arson carries a prison sentence of 5 to 10 years and potentially a fine of up to $150,000. Sounds much more manageable. And that's the difference between living in a blue state and living out there in Texas. Oh, man. All right. All right. That's it. That's all I got. Yo, I'm not condoning this. I'm not telling nobody out there to do that. Let them leave first. Yeah. Let people leave.
You got to bet. You got to fucking bet and make sure ain't nobody in. You can really kill somebody, hurt somebody. Stupid. Oh, man. Yo. And then that makes it a bad plan. Uh, good show, though. Good show today. Serious. Absolutely. I'm dead serious. I know you are. I am so serious. I reserve the right to light some shit on fire. As somebody that used to play with matches and and kerosene, you reserve the right to carry the consequence. Yes. It shouldn't be nine years. If it wasn't nobody, if it wasn't nobody in there, you saying homeboy shouldn't have got his head knocked off.
Homeboy should have got his. He better thank the lucky heavens. Back and made a video. Yeah. The fuck is he talking about? That never gets. I promise you never. Let's go. Gabby Wilson.
