We got Juju and Trista here, made the trip down. You're gonna be here with us the next couple days. Very excited to have you guys here. But did you hear, uh, Juju, yesterday, really over the last couple of days, Dan seems to have a, a, a definition of movie genre that maybe all of us are not on the same page about. Like, for instance, yesterday Jeremy was trying to tell us that baseball movies are their own genre. That I think is nonsense. Like, that's a sports movie. That's the genre. Dan also, for instance, believes that shark movies are its own genre. It's not like in the, in the horror or thriller category. It's its own genre. Do you have a top 5 list for us?
Yes, sir, man. If Dan says sharks is a genre, oh boy, do I got a top 5 for you. When you hear these names, you know exactly what kind of movie you about to watch. Number 5, a Tyler Perry movie. Genre. Number 4, a mockumentary. Genre, a Tarantino film. You already know, N-Words. Number 2, cult films.
Like, what's an example of that?
Like Pulp Fiction, like, uh, also a Tarantino. Yeah. Quirkies.
Uh, Lebowski.
Yeah, yes sir. Yeah, okay. And the number one subgenre, Tubi movies. You know what you're getting yourself into.
No, what is that?
Oh, you don't want to know about those Tubi movies.
I mean, I know it's an app, right?
Tell them, Tony.
It's, it's possibly the worst acting on God's green earth in every single scene of every single—
Oh, is that what everyone was busting on Jalen Rose about? Yeah, that's a Tubi movie.
Yes sir.
Oh, so that's why people were saying, yo, Jalen Rose, you went out there, made a Tubi movie. Yeah. Oh, Oh, see, I didn't know what that meant.
It's like usually if you've never acted before, you— they're like, great, we've got a role for you.
Oh, okay, cuz yeah, that seems kind of cringe, right?
You know what I'm talking about. Yes sir. What you think, Greg? Are those— do you have any more categories of movies that deserve their own genre?
Uh, I don't. I like those, although I'd never heard of a tubie movie.
I—
that, that's totally foreign to me. I got to look that up. I got to figure out what it is. Uh, the only thing on this topic that I remember arguing about with Levitard is that he referred to Jaws as a horror movie, and I don't see that as a horror movie. It's— there are scary scenes in it. Yeah, with the shark and everything, but do you think that's a horror movie?
Dang, I never thought about it. I guess if sharks is biting brothers on the beach, that's pretty horrific. But then you add in the bikinis, uh, so I don't know. I don't know.
I mean, people were afraid to go in the water after that movie came out. That sounds like a horror movie me.
Really?
Yeah.
Okay, Dad, what would you say is your favorite genre of movies? I like Greg movies. Like movies with like— where the— like a Gregory Peck film, uh, Greg Brady, uh, Greg Focker. Yeah, right, exactly. The Roosters. Yeah, right, Rooster.
Yeah, yes, a new episode this week. Yeah, some more similarities.
I am all over that. Gregory Hines. Gregory Hines. There you go. A Greg movie. We all like Greg movies. Come on.
I know we had some good polls today, Juju, right?
Yes sir, man. While I pull them up, maybe a little reminder that KD's burner might be back soon. We got to investigate, find KD's new burner.
He's talking shit about Shengun. You know exactly who it was.
Luke Kennard. I wasn't familiar with your game, brother. 75% of the audience says yes. Do kids today know what a paper hanger is? 91% of the Audience says no, they don't.
Dang.
The other ones are lying. Is a one-legged punter the busiest? 81% of the audience says yes, he is. Greg, hee haw 3! Puddup! Does a football being punted sound like the word punt?
That's fake.
86% of the audience says yes. And those are your polls.
Good job, Juju.
Thank you, brother.
"That's why people were saying 'Yo Jalen Rose you went out there and made a Tubi movie'?"
We wrap up today's show by revisiting the subject that has hung over the show all week: is Jaws a horror movie or a shark movie?
