Football guy, Patino, AWM.
Part of my take.
Yeah.
Part of my take.
Yeah.
Part of my take.
Hey.
Part of my take. Yeah. Part of my take. Welcome to Part of My Take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Monday, October 26th. Week 7. Yeah, there we go. Hey, some spread. Hmm, we, we, we start in Gay Paris where according to current conditions in France, both teams agreed no fireworks allowed for this one. There was a lot of defense in this one, and in a touching tribute to one night in Paris, Patrick Solomon Queen showed off his good D in a big sack, helping the over-the-Hilton Aaron Rodgers and a stagnant Pittsburgh offense. Darnell George Washington, a true ally to the French, let the little tiny Parisians at asking how do they make someone so big. He gave them their answer: a diet of sugar and carbs, as he swallowed up all the Kool-Aid McHinstree on the field for a big-body touchdown. As for the Saints, Tyler Blevins Shuck tried his best to drop in for a win, but now people are asking if Kellen Moore will survive another fortnight at the helm. Steelers 16, Saints 10. We go down to Tennessee where Todd Monkey has Cleveland fans going bananas as there's an outbreak of enthusiasm and are looking to sit on top of the canopy of the AFC North.
The Titans came out to a lead in the first half behind Tony Soprano Pollard, who was breathing really heavily after scoring 3 touchdowns and developing nice chemistry with Cornella Tate.
But a baby with a tailor isn't the only KC conception Cleveland fans are rooting for, as he added 129 yards. And Quinn Chubb, Judge Can See Everything, spent a lot of time in his opponent's house giving people who think they're frauds a lot to Think about Cleveland, 27, the Titans, 24. We now go to the AFC East where Memes was with the Jets.
In New Jersey, don't tell Miami that they're 0-5, as Flash— oh, Ali Gordon and cousin Greg Dulcich were proving that why they should be part of the Dolphins succession plan. Malik, what you talking about? Willis found Caleb Presley Douglas, who said, what do you say to people who say who can't tackle?
You go 63 to the house.
As for the Jets, Braylon Allen was getting there, and oh, oh, oh, Omar, you gotta back Jet 2.
Each had over 100 yards.
Geno Smith connected with tight end Mason James-Taylor for 2 touchdowns as the Jets have gone to Carolina in their minds. As for Aaron Glenn, if he was in charge of flying the planes during 9/11, he would have missed the towers.
Dolphins 28, Jets 25. Thanks, Memes. We now go to the AFC North with Hank.
In Baltimore!
In Baltimore! Zay Clamp— okay, let me start again. No, you got this, Hank! Zay in the clock tower! Zay Clapshouter Flowers had a super touchdown run after catching a pass from Snoooooo—
the Ravens made the lead 13-nothing after 2 first-half field goals from Tyler Moo—
In the 3rd quarter, the Bengals got on the board with a touchdown pass from Joey Brrrr to Big Mike Gesicki. Tee Riggins said, here's to good friends living large in Cincinnati, after giving the Bengals a 1-point lead. Sam J. Perine beelined to the pay dirt to add to the lead, and Ja'Marr, Ja'Marr, Ja'Marr Chase gave the Bengals the go-ahead touchdown in the 4th quarter. The Bengals win 35-13. Thanks, Hank. Down to Atlanta, where the previously Brock-solid Niners found themselves stuck between a Brock and a hard place, as Purdy was playing like he had Brocks in his head, and the undefeated season was officially on the Brocks. Okay, that's enough. As the game really was about watching PNP. I'm talking Penix finding Pitts for a score, and then doubled down with a missile to Drake London's call into a great touchdown as the Falcons were up for the clash on Sunday. The Falcons defense went into psycho mode as they checked Brock Purdy into the Jesse Bates Motel with an interception, and then Kendall Daniels threw them into the lion's den to end the perfect season. To the windows, to the wall, till the sweat drips off my balls, till all these bitches crawl, till all Stefan Skeetskeet motherfuckers, till all Stefan Skeetskeet 28, Skeet Goddamn.
Falcons 29, Niners 20. We go to Minnesota where Kevin Rosie O'Connell is in a league of his own, building a scrappy offense of unlikely athletes, and must be feeling glad that there's no Kyler Ring in baseball because he's still a quarterback, folks, not an MLB player just yet. Indiana Jones kept having Colts fans Feel like they got their hearts ripped out of their chest and the tip of the poon and showed to them, as Coach Steichen ought to be ashamed of himself for losing another pathetic game. And as my good friend TJ Hocktuenson put it down their throat to end the football game 16-10. All right, we now go to Zach, who is actually sick in his house, but he still did a boomer. Zach in Carolina. Bucky's Irving shouts, Frisket on the board! As he rumbles into the end zone, sending Panthers defenders scattering like a bunch of beaver nuggets that just fell off the truck. Shortly after, Bryce Loli Young drops back way too messy. The ball is out, and then it's recovered way too fucking clean by Kalijah You Can't See Me, who 5-knuckle shuffles 32 yards for a defensive score, causing the Panthers crowd to STFU.
Also in the 2nd quarter, Bryce Live Fast Die Young drops back like a total bad girl and does it well, throwing deep to Darren Paul Waller. He's the people's champ, he's something like a baller, the candy paint drippin' off that old school Impala as he floors it 50 yards before parking it right in the end zone next to Big Bank Hank and Poppy Joe. And if you were curious, yes, he had that trunk bumpin' like some chickenpox. Lastly in the game, Baker Baker, he's our man, if he can't pass it nobody can, rips one short to the Tasmanian Devil Johnson, who tornadoes into the end zone looking for Wabbit, adding to the absolute Looney Tunes score of a game. Tampa 43, Carolina 13. Thanks, Zach! He's on the IR. Make sure you get your flu shots. Get better soon, Zach. What?
What?
We now head, uh, to the afternoon and out west to Max in Arizona.
We head over to Glendale where there was a field goal fest to start the game. But Bo Nix showed real heart by turning on the Brunson burner and going to town on the Cardinals defense with a 62-yard touchdown, followed by RJ Steve Harvey asking you— asking— name a way to crush— sorry, sorry.
Come on, Max.
Name a way to crush a defensive soul to start the second half.
52-yard touchdown?
It was a tough day for the Cardinals fans, but it didn't stop them from praying.
Dear 246-pound newborn infant Trey McBreezus, don't even know a word yet, just a little infant, so cuddly but still omnipotent.
We just thank you for all the touchdowns you caught and the 472 yards you have accrued over this season.
Amen.
Broncos 30, Cardinals 16.
Thanks, Max.
Some good, uh, some good special effects.
Good special effects.
Thanks.
Thanks. Max's favorite game show, Family Food.
No, it's actually Family Feud.
Oh, oh, my mistake.
Yeah.
Uh, in Detroit, where the Packers face the Lions, and all the talk this week was whether or not the Lions tight end would be in the outhouse after Sam LaPorta Potty went on a dumb national sports podcast talking about his contract. Jordan Love on the spectrum was making no-look throws and avoiding eye contact early as he was able to find Tucker Minecraft in the end zone, proving he's not just a blocking tight enderman. The game had an up-and-down feel with very little scoring as Amon-Ra St. Antonio Brown went fucking nuts for over 150 yards. The Packers took a 14-10 second half lead as felon Josh Jacobs went into the end zone. Wait, Wait, I read that wrong. The Packers took a 14-10 second half lead as Josh Jacobs fell into the end zone for a score. Sorry about that. But it wasn't enough as Jared went Goff the clock and ordered 2 shots of Jamo as Williams scored twice on the way to a Lions win. Remember kids, smack is whack. Lions 20, Packers 17.
Standing on the corner, Jameis Winston and Hoboken, such a fine It's a 9, my lord, filling up the scoreboard. He's doubled into 18. Come on, Houston, your defense loosened. And the Stroud boys down real bad, they're disillusioned.
Giants 27, Texans 21. And that is your Week 7 Fastest 2 Minutes brought to you by Chevy. The Seahawks are up 13-3 and we had a Week 7, boys.
We did.
We have a big picture. We finally got the Dolphins a win. So there are no longer any winless teams. Oh, wait. No, the Chargers are on a bye. So they, they, they didn't win. They're, they're the last winless team, which is something that if you said in August, you'd be like, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard.
Could have made some good money on that. I was wondering why today kind of felt better.
Yeah.
Like just in an overall better mood watching football. One, it's because the Commanders weren't playing. So I didn't have to worry about that. Two, it's because I didn't have to watch the Chargers because they are depressing, depressing football.
Yeah.
The afternoon window Chargers. Hey, let's watch Justin Herbert get sacked a bunch and throw stupid picks. Didn't have to happen.
I can deal with the Cardinals. Yeah, like the Cardinals, that— as depressing as they can be sometimes, I can deal with it.
Jacoby plays. Yeah, he plays hard.
The Chargers, they were actually making America's Sundays worse.
Also, this is totally unrelated, but Zach is out sick and Shane is sitting in Zach's seat today. Uh, so that's why we might have started with the Chargers, but they were on a bye.
We're gonna start that way anyways.
We always were going to start with— didn't lose, didn't lose, didn't lose. Uh, yeah, so big picture, we have The— both the North divisions, uh, are still all teams above .500, which that could have been in jeopardy because we had some game— you know, the, the Lions play— were 3-2 going into this week, played the Packers.
Mm-hmm.
The Bengals were 3-2, played the Ravens. Both North divisions all over .500. And just when you think maybe the NFC South is going to be a respectable place to play football, Uh, the Panthers just shit down their leg. The Falcons had a nice win, but the Panthers, uh, now, now every single team in the NFC South is .500 or worse.
And the Saints look bad too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So let's start there. In Paris, Steelers 16, Saints 10. Hank, you're locked in.
Oui oui.
This was, uh, I actually, during this game, I, I tweeted out this thought. I don't know if you guys had a similar thought. This game felt like it was being played in slow motion, and it was because there was just checkdowns galore. Uh, also it was a very weird game because team— both teams weren't scoring, but they were going on insanely long drives. There was 8 drives of 11+ plays. There were only 13 total possessions in the game. The Saints had the ball 6 times.
It felt so long because nobody was running the football, so the clock never ticked. Yeah. Uh, the, the leading rushers for this game Leading rusher was Aaron Rodgers. He had 8 yards. Second leading rusher was Tyler Shuck. He had 7 yards. So that's the kind of game that we're looking at. It did drag on for a very long time. I'll say this, the national anthem was pretty cool. I liked that, the jazzy New Orleans-style national anthem that they did. That was fun.
Did you like that, Hank?
Oui, oui.
Yeah.
And I think the Steelers are leaning into— I don't know that they've had really an identity. Their identity has been their offense isn't really as bad as it has been.
Yeah.
Their identity now is, I think Mike McCarthy is saying, we're going to just be bigger than everybody else.
Well, yeah. Darnell Washington, that was— I think I saw someone tweeted. I'm sorry that I'm not getting their exact handle because I don't have it. I didn't bookmark it. But he basically was like, this is your uncle, you know, on Thanksgiving scoring over your 8-year-old, like, nephew. Well, they also— that was Darnell Washington over Kool-Aid McKinstry, where he just big-bodied the fuck out of him.
Just ripped it out of his hands.
Yeah.
Just towered over him. And then also the Steelers had the jumbo tight end. formation 12 times today where they put an offensive lineman in as tight end. And so they're just going to lean on you. They're just going to say, we have an old quarterback. We're going to protect him as best we can. And he's going to call the plays. And that's going to be our offense. And their defense is really good. TJ Watt is just like an insane person when he gets close to the quarterback. Somehow his hands—
Sniffs the ball out.
Always find the ball. So yeah, their defense is good. And they're just going to try to be bigger than you.
Well, and also it's Jaylen Warren. Jaylen Warren is the one thing that if you're a Steelers fan, And this is what's different. His, his, uh, pop— I, I know he's obviously been on the team, but this year he has been special. That was his 3rd time with over 100 yards rushing, his 4th time this season with over 125 yards from scrimmage. He is the, the engine of this offense. And the Steelers are now 5-2. They're 5-2. I don't— I still don't know if they're, uh, all— they're good-ish.
Yeah.
Someone was, was asking me this morning if they were, uh, You know, our famous debate, are they a bad-good team or a good-bad team? I think they're definitely— I think they're a medium-good team.
They're—
I think they're good.
Yeah.
So they're a good team.
You're saying they're bad-good team?
Yeah.
So they're a good team.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They're in the bad category of good teams.
Yeah.
Not in the— yeah.
It's the same as it's always been with them. No, I think every year— I think every year we've done this show, it's the same.
No, but they have made the playoffs. In the past as a good bad team.
Yes.
No, Russell Wilson Steelers were definitely a good bad team.
Yeah.
That was a bad football team that had a good defense and could win 9 games.
This is a bad good team that's trending towards being a not bad good team.
Yeah. That's why I'm saying they're medium. They're a medium good team. Yeah. They're not even a bad good team.
And I think I misspoke earlier. Obviously Aaron Rodgers, he would have led the Saints in rushing today.
I don't think they'll ever be a good good team.
I said they're medium good. They—
that might be a steal. No, but PFT, I can see it in PFT's face. Well, I see it.
He's ready to say they're going to win a playoff game.
No, I said, I said they're trending towards maybe medium, not bad good.
No, I think they're medium good right now. They're 5-2.
No, no, they're bad good.
They're 5-2. Like, that's not— you can't— winning, being 5-2 doesn't happen by accident.
Yeah, I think. Yeah. So in other words, they're the Browns. They're average, above average team.
Browns might be good bad. Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know.
We'll get to the Browns. They're fun. The Browns are actually fun. But they're— every game is just the exact same script. And I actually— So is the Steelers. Yeah, I know. But the Steelers feel like it can last a little bit.
Wrong. I think the Steelers' scripts go a little bit different sometimes. Like in the last couple of weeks, Jaylen Warren has been really, really good. Like a legitimately top 10 running back in the NFL. So I think they are able to do some things. With the whole dynamic between Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy has created kind of a funny, awkward situation where after the game, sometimes Mike McCarthy like subtly rips the play calling, which is pretty funny because he's technically calling plays.
Yeah.
But he'll be like, yeah, you know, I think he's talking about like on 3rd down or something. He's like, that's not where we want to be clearly with that percentage. No doubt about it. We want to take control of the clock. They do a really good job in New Orleans, but we want to, we want to score touchdowns down there. And that's something that we have to work on. So he's like, he's kind of taking shots at his own play calling, which is really actually Aaron Rodgers' play calling.
Right. They're in, they're in like a frenemy subtweet off at all times.
But it's like an old married couple that deep down they love each other.
Yeah.
They're just always talking about each other.
Yeah.
This is just how they're going to— this is how they show it.
It's actually a rare case of double rent-free.
They're both—
they both live rent-free in the other one's head. Yeah. Did you see, Hank, that Aaron Rodgers— did you see what he said after the game about the international games? Because you—
I did not. I saw they dressed up as the Peaky fucking Blinders.
Yeah, that was cool.
In Paris.
I like that. That also means that I think in consuming all of Aaron Rodgers' career pretty intimately, when Aaron Rodgers starts doing dress-up, he feels like they're a medium-good team. Like he has a little swagger when he starts doing the dress-up stuff. Remember when he dressed like, you know, in all denim or a cowboy? He gets a little— he gets a little cheeky with it.
He had also one of the funniest, one of the funniest hard counts towards the end of this game when he got up to the line.
Yeah.
And he didn't buckle his chinstrap at all. He tried to pull the hard count on and obviously nobody jumped on it. I do want to see him run that play without the chinstrap on at all.
Yeah. Now he's the next one. Yeah. Now he can get them. And he did have that. Like, that was an impressive run for a guy of his age.
It was very impressive. Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, that, that won them the game right there. Yeah.
But anyway, Hank, Aaron Rodgers after the game said that, uh, the league a few years ago before we went to 17 games, there was talk about having an international week where every single game was played international for a week. That would be awesome.
Then we would go spring break.
Well, they would be played in different places, locations, but, uh, it was essentially the idea was everyone would go abroad and then there would be an extra bye week. And then he's like, the owners got greedy. They wanted a 17th game without giving up an extra bye week. So that's why we didn't have it. But it was, it's, it sounds like it was kind of tossed around to do my idea of a universal bye where it's just one week right before Christmas. So everyone can do their Christmas shopping, maybe give it to college football playoffs now that we have 24 teams, just one week where everyone gets a double bye, get rested and have good football down the stretch.
How do you think that would work out if we're trying to do an international week? There aren't enough, enough international locations, right?
No, he, well, yeah, there are now.
So there's, there's Germany, there's France, there's Spain, there's, uh, 2 stadiums in England.
Yep.
There's Ireland.
Yeah.
Now we're at 6.
Brazil.
Brazil.
Mexico City. There's 2 in Mexico, I think.
Australia.
Canada, we could easily do.
We could easily do. Yeah.
Yeah.
So that's— and he was talking like Abu Dhabi and stuff. But yeah, you could do it. I mean, you could do double games in, in a couple of the, you know, Germany. You didn't say Germany. Like, that's They could do it.
Maybe, maybe there's 16. Yeah, it'd be awesome if you drew the Canada straw though. Yeah, that'd be perfect.
Be so sick. Yeah. Yeah. No, he said he's like, and then maybe another South American country. So Hank, you were very close.
It'd be awesome.
As for the Saints, Tyler Shuck played well. He just had that one backbreaking interception. But he had, again, PFT said at the beginning, there was his, his running backs, 14 carries for 11 yards.
They could not run the football to save their lives. So yeah, it was Kendre Miller, 6 yards. Kamara had 5 yards rushing.
So he had to just pass. I think he went 30 for 38. He played well. It was just that one interception, which the Steelers do do. They just find a way to turn the ball over on you when, like, in backbreaking ways. But overall, I didn't think like Shuck played bad. He just is in a spot at this point where it's like you have no running game and they just, the Saints just live to go down in games. They just don't. I've never seen the Saints jump on a team. Yeah. And I like Kellen Moore a lot as a guy, you know, famously Hank farted right in front of him. At some point, not never taking a lead early in a game has to be a conversation like what's happening with— because that does feel like preparation, how you get ready for a game, that, that all goes into it, right?
It's a big part of it. Yeah. How you play off the crack, not just in the second half. That was a great pick, by the way, by Payton Wilson. Like, like a really good job for a linebacker. That's what— yeah. Sometimes when you have quarterbacks like that, you have to take the good with the bad. And that means that linebackers are going to catch it too.
Yeah.
I think I was thinking about the Hank Fark thing over the weekend because obviously the Hank doll sold really, really well. I believe it's sold out right now.
Yeah, I think we sold out.
Sold out.
Shout out all the AWLs. We sold like over 2,000 of them.
2,500.
2,500. Just we'll hopefully maybe Christmas time, something, maybe we'll come up.
And Blake's in love with it. Like every dog, every dog is going to love this thing. It's a fantastic little toy. But I was thinking about what led up to the creation of the Hank doll. And, um, the Falcons facility. Yeah. The fact that Hank felt comfortable enough to fart in Kellen Moore's presence, I think was probably maybe our first sign that maybe Kellen Moore maybe not going to be an outstanding leader of men. Oh, you're like, do you think that Hank would have done that in front of Dan Campbell? No, absolutely not.
No, he would have swallowed his fart.
Yeah.
It would have come out of his eyes.
Would Hank have done that in front of Big Dom? No, no, absolutely not.
Absolutely not, Hank. You would have—
You'd be interviewing Big Dom.
We'd love to interview Big Dom. Don't, don't touch the mic like that. We'd love to interview Big Dom.
I hate Hank.
But think about it. Like, we're interviewing Todd Bowles. I could see Hank farting. Yeah, I can see Hank throwing up in front of Bowles and not leaving the room.
Yeah, it's a sign of disrespect.
Yeah, that should have been clue number one.
It wasn't fun. Also, our— well, yeah, it was just air out of your stomach. And it was a Pelicans facility. Unfortunately, our conspiracy theory that they're making the international games fun and overs hit lasted one week. This was a brutal game. This was a butt cheeks game. It was, it was brutal to watch. Just again, 13 total possessions. The Saints had the ball 6 times. 6 times. That's insane.
Big miss on the 52-yard field goal from Daniel Carlson too.
Yep.
That probably, you know, that might have been one of the big swinging points in the game where it felt like the Steelers could put it away. And then that's the one thing that Moore said that he is thinking about changing after the game. So I think it's probably going to come down to an owner asking Kellen Moore, will you fire your assistants?
Yeah.
And I don't— Kellen Moore might be the kind of guy that says, no, I'm not going to fire my assistants. And then he will get fired. Or he might be like, this might be the first step where he's like, I am holding people accountable. I cut the kicker after this game. Yeah. So remember, they're not doing anything.
They're also on owner watch with the Colts where the owner has come out and said that she's upset.
Right.
And doesn't like what's going on. So that always puts a little more pressure on it. Okay. Next game, back to the regular slate. By the way, no international games this upcoming weekend. That's nice.
Yeah, we get a week off from it.
We get a break. We do have hoops.
Yeah, I was going to say no international football games.
Yeah, we have Nova and Notre Dame, which Max keeps reminding us about.
Yeah, it's college basketball season kickoff.
Excited. Pope. All right.
Giants 27 in Germany.
Is that Lions Patriots, I believe?
Yeah, I know. Patriots.
Yeah, it's Lions Patriots in Munich.
Yes.
Yeah, that'll be fun. Are you going, Hank?
No, I didn't even go in Chicago. Why would I go to Germany?
That'd be funny if you went to Germany. Oktoberfest. I don't think it's—
No, Oktoberfest is like September.
Yeah.
Okay. We have Giants 27, Texans 21. This was the big shocker of the day. Hank, you called this.
I did.
You bet the Giants.
I did.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
JJ McCarthy. and the Giants defense. That's— that was the big— we'll get to the Texans, but JJ McCarthy, he was letting it rip. He was absolutely no, no concern whatsoever, just throwing it deep. Malik Nabers is a bona fide, bona fide number 1 in the league.
I think—
who, who do we talk to? Oh, it's Pete Prisco, when he's always like, how many actual number 1s are there?
Mm-hmm.
And he's got a fair point that there's You can have a number 1 on your depth chart, but that doesn't make them a true number 1. I think Malik Nabers is a true number 1. He is— he had 7 catches for 111 yards. The last 4 weeks, he has 36 catches for 509 yards. And JJ McCarthy's just like, fuck it, he's down there somewhere, throw it to him.
And JJ looked good. JJ, he was hitting throws outside the numbers. He was firing lasers. It was also the Cam Scatterboo game.
Yeah.
Cam Scatterboo's back.
In fact, he ran his way out of the doghouse.
He did.
He did. That's the only way he— I guess that's how you get out of the doghouse is early on in the game. Did you see when he got flagged for unnecessary roughness?
Yep.
As he was carrying the football?
Yep.
Because he lowered his head going through the hole. And I think it was a linebacker. It was a safety. I think that he just— he lowered the crown and just ran his ass over and got flagged on that. I think Harbaugh liked that.
Yeah.
So Harbaugh was like, okay, it's going to be that kind of game. He ran 17 times, 124 yards, a touchdown. He ran out of the doghouse and—
The big run in OT, which basically sealed it. I mean, Devin Singletary ran into the end zone.
It was the entire running back room that had a good game today. And as long as I've watched the Giants, this goes back to the mid-'90s when I can remember watching the Giants for the first time. Even when they're good, they're not fun. This is a fun team. The Giants are fun good.
Yeah.
And I do think that they are a good team. Like, this should prove it to anybody that thought maybe the Giants are kind of fluky. They'll, like, come back to earth. I think the Giants are just a fun, good team. And it's weird seeing those colors be so, like, kind of flashy to an extent.
Yeah. And I, I'm not, I'm not, I mean, Jameis did score a touchdown. He also had a very funny, fully mic'd up. I don't know how he just got fully mic'd up on that one play when he said, get ready, get set, hut 1, hut 2, go.
Yep.
I think Jameis might have gotten into JJ McCarthy's ear. Just like, dude, fuck it, you're 9. Not actually, because Likely is, but you were 9.
Yeah.
And now you're 18. Throw it. Just chuck it.
If the Giants win one more game, Likely just got to give him the number.
Yeah, he does.
He's earned it. He's earned— it's bullshit seeing him wear 18. He's got to be wearing 9.
I don't know that you make a switch.
Nah, it's 9.
I don't know that you can make a switch. You can be 9 and wear 18. That's where, that's where you're fucked up, Max. It's just, it's just a costume. It doesn't matter. Like, deep down, the guy that was playing today, that was 9. It doesn't matter that he's wearing 18. He could be wearing a ref's jersey. He could be shirtless playing shirts for skins on Thanksgiving. Doesn't matter. That was 9 that we saw today. It doesn't matter. It actually, it speaks more highly of him that he doesn't need the number. To become 9.
But he was like really chucking it, which he didn't do. He didn't have to do in college. He didn't do it, you know, in— what happened? Talk to us, Hank.
Harrison Butker missed his second field goal.
Oh no. You're the Chiefs.
Butker stinks, man. He stinks.
Yeah, he was bad last— there was wind last week, so everyone's like, oh, maybe he's okay.
Gross.
That's bad.
That is so, so stinky.
Uh, I, I actually came away from this game because the other thing was Abdul-Carter's a menace. Like, absolutely, he was everywhere. And Harbaugh actually said that he gave a halftime speech to empty the tank.
So this was a—
felt like a very important game for the Giants. They've been getting disrespected, at least from Vegas. They were 10-point underdogs in this game. Depending on what happens on Monday night, Max, I don't know if you can still win the East if JJ McCarthy like gives them a shit. Because it's not just JJ McCarthy played well, he played mistake-free football. The fact that he is willing to throw it deep and find Malik Nabers opens— that's why they're running the ball the way they're running the ball. I don't know, Max. I—
Well, if they win, then it just turns— the same thing just turns into next week, that it's the season is only on if you beat the Giants.
Oh, you play the Giants next week?
Oh, OK.
So you're not out of it no matter what. OK. No, no, that's a big game.
Well, if you lose, you're out of it no matter what. If you lose tomorrow, you're out of it no matter what.
Unless you win tomorrow. Unless you kick the Giants out.
You just have the same game next week. It's like you got to win for it for the season still to be on.
Here's a benefit, Max. What have we taught you? They're coming off a high, huge win. Huge win.
Yep.
The Texans, their defense is just bad.
They are bad.
I don't get it.
Yeah, they're just— they're not the same. They're not the same defense. I don't know if somebody's hurt on the D. I don't know what it is because it feels like all their playmakers are still there.
Yeah.
And that was also wrong.
What? Oh, the schedule was wrong.
Yeah, that's—
they play the Giants.
Really easy to not fuck up.
Well, I was looking at the Giants schedule and their next game is against the Eagles, but they have a bye, which makes it harder.
Got it.
Yeah.
Got it.
So that bye is actually coming at a really bad time for the Eagles.
Correct.
Yeah.
We play every team off a bye. I don't know how.
But yeah, the, the, the Giants— or sorry, the, the Texans offense wasn't— I mean, it was like the Giants defense played really well today. But again, it's like the Texans just couldn't get the stops they needed to get where you think that this team is built defensively and being last year easily the best defense in football. Well, actually, the Seahawks definitely were up there, but it's crazy to watch them and just be like, yeah, I mean, they're, they're just giving up big chunk plays and, and 20, you know, 350 yards, 27 points. It's happened multiple times. Like, if you look at their games this year, other than playing the Titans, who have a barely functional offense, they, they have kind of like, they've just been giving up yardage and points to everyone.
Yeah, I mean, 27 points to the Giants is crazy. Yeah, that's absolutely nuts. Like, the Texans teams of the past, they would, they would suck a dick to get 21 points a game on offense. Yeah, that's like, that's, that's a great, great game. Um, Marvin Harrison looks okay, I guess, on the Texans.
There was a couple times there was a ball, like there was one that was over the middle and just felt like he didn't really want to catch it.
Well, he already had his touchdown.
Yeah, he did have his touchdown.
He had, he had a catch for 6 yards.
Yeah.
But yeah, this, this is the kind of offense that we spent years being like, man, if the Texans just had a halfway decent offense, it's a massive loss every game.
Yeah. The, uh, DeMeco Ryans did say this is, this is how you know it's probably not going well because they also have a ton of, uh, penalties and they're like sloppy. It feels like the Texans, they're, they're just a prime candidate for when they get things going, oh, they'll get a false start or a holding call that will just set them back. He said the penalties are ridiculous. It keeps happening over and over again. So we got to find a way to fix it or get different people in so we don't have the same mistakes over and over again. He's talking about people's jobs.
Yeah.
And he took over play calling on defense.
He did.
Should be talking about his job too.
He did. I'm trying to see exactly where this defense— I don't know. We probably need— this is a case where we need somebody smarter than us to actually tell us what's broken about it.
I think it's there.
I think I was just going to say that they don't want enough, Big Cat.
From my perspective, uh, their pass rush has not looked as dominant. Will Anderson's still a stud, but more than that, uh, Lassiter has not been like awesome. And that, and that was the thing is they had, they had the pass rush, but they also had awesome corners. And it doesn't feel like he's playing at that level. And like big chunk plays just keep happening to them.
It's crazy.
Yeah. Uh, okay. Next game, we've got the Falcons 29, 49ers 20. You— I think you can sum up this game pretty easily. Well, there's 2 ways you could sum up this game easily. The first is the 49ers turned the ball over 4 times. The second is Jed York came back and joined the team. So the 49ers are now— they were 6-0 without Jed York, and now they're 0-1 with Jed York.
Yeah, the stat is the 49ers are 0-1 0-1 with Jed York attending games since he went to meet a prostitute in an Ohio trailer park. If we want to just cut to the chase, yeah, that is the issue that they have right now.
But it really is.
I think it's fixable.
Yeah. Yeah. Leave him at home.
Just don't go to the games.
Not home. Go to the—
not home.
Youngstown. Yeah.
Not home. Youngstown.
You can do that. Just don't go to the games.
Yeah. Go, go, go back to San Francisco, but then leave when— no, stay in San Francisco. They play in Santa Clara, but it was really just the Niners. The Niners, Brock Purdy was not sharp today. That one throwaway interception was like, that was just an incredible play, but he was not sharp. The Niners still moved the ball. They had, they had 9 drives. Every single one of their drives went over the 50-yard line. Just 4 of them ended in turnovers and one of them was a turnover on downs. So 5, I think, I think they punted once, 5 turnovers and then 3 touchdowns. That was the game.
That was the game. And also Jesse Bates had an incredible game. Yeah. So he, he had the interception. I think he forced a fumble as well. And Jesse Bates, he, uh, I believe that puts him in like rarefied air for the most games with an interception and a forced fumble. He's just, he's just a beast. He was just making plays out there. We kind of saw this coming going across the country for the 49ers.
Yeah, we talked about it. They had played a ton of great teams.
They haven't played a lot of great teams, short week going across the country on the road. It felt like this is probably when it was going to fall apart and Kyle Shanahan is going to blame the kicker. And he was like already talking about how he's going to be making calls to replace Eddie Pinheiro. So tough break for that guy.
He did miss an extra point.
He did miss an extra point. Yeah, it was a bad kick. It was a bad kick.
So, and that was— I know that like you still lost the game, but it was 26-20. They'd scored a touchdown to make it 26-21. You make that extra point and, and a Falcons field goal doesn't end you. Instead, he misses it. The Falcons field goal ends them. They're down 9 instead of 8. And that was the game. And Michael Penix played well. He did. He was efficient. I feel like he's a slow starter as well. I feel like anytime you turn on a Falcons game, and this is all anecdotally speaking because he did play a good game, but like If you turn on a Falcons game, maybe like 7 minutes in, it'll be Michael Penix 1 for 4, minus 4 yards, and then he'll get going. And he found— he, he did what we've been asking. He's starting to do what we've been asking for a very long time. You have the players, just get them the ball. Drake London, Bijan, and Pitts, they caught 17 balls total, 147 yards and 2 touchdowns, including Drake London's touchdown, which was awesome. And yeah, he like, that was, that was a good game for Michael Penix. Good game from the Falcons defense turning the ball over.
Falcons, why can't they win the NFC South, especially what we saw from the Panthers today?
I definitely think they can. Yeah, they got into like a very, very small hole at the start of the year before Penix got healthy and came back. But I definitely think they have the talent to be able to do it. You saw it today. Like they beat a very good team. Yes, it was on the road, but they were opportunistic, like on defense. The 4 turnovers were awesome. The stat on, uh, on Bates is that he has now 6 games with an interception and a forced fumble, and only 1 player has more in the last 40 seasons.
Damn.
And that's Rod Woodson. So maybe we need to be respecting Jesse Bates more. Also kind of a hot porn star name.
Yep.
Jesse Bates.
Yeah. Very hot.
Very hot porn star name.
Uh, yeah, that's for sure.
I do think, I do think that the, uh—
Jesse Bates bounces on it.
I think that the Falcons are real. I think that they're, that they're, well, a good team.
Real.
I think they're good.
They're, they're real in the relative terms of the NFC South.
I think that they're a bad good team. They're a flawed good team.
Steelers-Falcons Super Bowl, who wins?
I mean, the Steelers. It's the Falcons in the Super Bowl.
Yeah.
What do we mean?
I'm not ready to say the Falcons are like a good team yet. They're, they're hovering closer. They're hovering closer.
I would say on a neutral field right now, whose line is it anyway?
I don't know.
I don't know. I think it might be—
Didn't they play this year?
Yeah, but that was without—
that was with Cooks. But that was Cooper Rush, Hank.
They played fucking horrible.
Cooper Rush is your guy.
And their kicker couldn't kick.
Yeah, they actually kept it kind of close with Cooper Rush.
No, the Falcons are— I listen, I like I actually, I actually like watching both the Falcons and the Panthers. Not the Panthers today, but they're a fun watch. Michael Penix played, I mean, he 78% completion percentage today. Like I said, it was like ball control. They, they, he, he, they, they ran a lot of clock in the third, in the third quarter. He was, he had some big third down throws.
Do we think Dre Greenlaw might be getting another, another fine for the punch? Maybe it looked like he might have been going for the ball. Yeah, but he ended up punching Drake London like in the face.
Yes.
As he went for the ball. Yes. And then Drake London had to leave the game for a little bit, get checked for a concussion. Thankfully, he was okay. Yeah. This play right here. Boom. Just right. Just right in the face. Just got him. Max, you think it was unintentional?
Yeah, I think that was a football play. I think he was going for the ball.
That's football guys making football.
Football guy made a football play.
It's unfortunate that he punched him in the head.
His head got in the way of the punch. You can't cover up the ball with your head. You got to expect that.
I mean, yeah, he's going for the ball there.
Yeah, he was going for the ball. I agree with you.
Maybe that's— yeah, that, that might just be a natural consequence because if you, if you punch a guy's helmet, he might have broken a bone.
Also shout out the Falcons offensive line. Maybe it was more the Niners defensive line because again, I think the Niners are good. Brock Purdy is a You know, a top, whatever you want to call it, 5 quarterback, 7 quarterback. I don't know what number people want to throw him in, but I would, I think most teams would take him. And they have been playing teams that maybe haven't had the best, you know, their defense have been going up against not great quarterbacks, not great offensive lines. The Michael Penix was pressured on 9% of his dropbacks today, 3 of the 34 dropbacks. That's Insane. Yeah, that's the lowest since Week 16 of 2024. That's, that's nuts.
I think that if the Falcons can do that, they have maybe the best set of skill position players in the NFL.
That's what I'm saying. Just give them the ball.
If, yeah, if you're able to protect Penix, he's good enough to distribute it and then just let their awesome players do awesome shit.
Get the good guys the ball. Watch magic happen. Okay. Uh, before we get to the next game, DraftKings. Think DraftKings. Who are the Falcons playing next week, by the way? Let's do Whose Line Is It Anyway with the Falcons.
The Falcons are playing the Buccaneers.
Oh, that's actually a big game because the Bucs in Tampa. All right, in Tampa. I'm gonna say Bucs minus— no, no, Falcons. Falcons minus 1.5.
I'm gonna say Falcons 2.5.
I'm gonna say Bucs -1.5.
Yeah, you know what, I think the Bucs—
you think the Bucs are favored?
Baker?
Yeah. Okay, give us the line. So DraftKings— think DraftKings isn't available where you live?

Nice, nice one. What just happened in the game, Hank?
Game over.
Can you—
can we come back? Explain to the people why you're in a bad spot right now.
I lost the cave parlay. Everyone in the cave picks an either-or touchdown. It was— what was it, 13 to 1? All 7 of them hit except for mine. That hurts. That hurts to let down the cave, my coworkers, my friends, and all the fans. Yeah.
Shut the fuck up, Max.
Let me talk. Don't interrupt me. I was about to say it. Shut up.
Well, yeah, I did too.
Sorry.
But it's okay. You can get mad at me.
And then Max— Hank did call Max chubby.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was honestly a compliment compared to what I could have said.
And then the— geez.
The hungry dog.
The hungry dog. Hungry dog. I had, I had, I had the Giants, the Bucs, and then the Chiefs to finish it. 25-1. You got Patrick Mahomes as an underdog to win at 25-1. That's like the best fight you could possibly be. Just didn't even get off the bus. Yeah, the Chiefs didn't get off the bus.
It's gonna be tough for you.
The Chiefs didn't even get like show up in Seattle. They might not. They might as well have not even played the game.
Okay. Can I ask a question?
Yeah.
It's not hindsight.
No.
Then no, it's not.
It's going to be.
All right.
I will know.
I know it's going to be.
Well, what I was gonna say is— Should you have picked the Falcons? No, no, that's not what I was gonna say. Thank you for, for, uh, making my voice sound dumb.
I do have a follow-up to Big Cat's question though.
The hungry dog is underdogs, but you could definitely make the case that the Seahawks were the hungry dog in this game. I know they were favorites, but it was an undefeated Chiefs team against a Seahawks team that has lost 2 of the last 3 and needed a win desperately.
Plus signs.
They're a disrespected dog.
You live and die with the plus signs.
I understand. But you understand what I'm saying?
It was a bad pick.
No, no, no.
I'm not saying it was a bad pick.
I'm just saying I will never pick a favorite in the hungry dog.
But the Seahawks were the hungry dog here.
But you understand, like, it's— yes, it's the hungry dog.
Yes. But they were the hungry dog.
Sure. I got you. I follow what you're saying.
Okay.
What was your follow-up?
They were whatever.
My follow-up was just they weren't a dog.
I know. But if you're talking about just which team is the essence of the hungry dog, who needs it more?
That's not what the—
yeah, it was with the Eagles. The hungry dogs run fast.
But that's not what the hungry dog parlay is. Hungry underdog value plus sign.
But they were the hungrier dog.
But that's not what Hank's parlay is.
I know, but he picked a hungrier dog. He just picked the wrong dog.
They weren't even done.
Okay. They weren't even though I got in his hole and he just And he just got so mad at me.
Called you chubby. Said he could call you worse. What would be worse?
No, let's not play this game.
Yeah, what's worse?
Give us like 2.
I'm on— Hank, I got your whole day.
We're aligned. We're good. Little guy question.
I actually was not going to ask a question anymore because it seems mean. It seems like you're lashing out.
Want to ask me the question?
No, it's okay.
Okay.
I was wondering if that was the most impressive Seahawks Yeah, honestly.
Yeah, they played really well tonight.
Okay. Hey, do you want to share with people what song you were listening to before we started the show?
I don't think that he should.
We can keep that for—
It's a famous Nirvana song. You guys can figure out which one. He's just said that the Seahawks keep beating him badly. It wasn't Smells Like Teen Spirit, but it actually works because it's Seattle.
Yeah, it's true.
Very appropriate.
Yeah.
Yeah. That's why you're listening to it.
I don't have a gun.
Uh, okay. Vikings 16, Colts 10. The Vikings keep doing it. They are 6-0. They are an unbelievable defense. The Vikings— did you guys know the Vikings are actually on an 11-game winning streak? 11-game winning streak dating back to last year. In that 11-game winning streak, they've given up 11.5 points per game. This year, through 6 games, they've given up 125 points total. And they did it again. Like, it was basically— I know that, uh, people might have like more intricacies, but the Vikings did it again. They blitzed the fuck out of Daniel Jones. They shut out the Colts in the second half. They had 55% pressure rate. 85% blitz rate.
Insane shit.
Kyler Murray did not look great. Like, he had a really nice run, which— that, that's promising that he's using his legs, but his deep ball wasn't accurate. Like, it— the offense is still kind of clumsy and just hasn't looked good, uh, for sustained amounts of time. But it doesn't matter because their defense is so goddamn dominant that they will be in every game. And they don't need many points to win and they're 6-0 and you don't apologize for it. And I know that like we've had this before with the Vikings where there have been years where they have been considered fluky. Remember the famous Kirk Cousins year where they lost to Daniel, they lost to Daniel Jones in that wildcard game. I would say the Vikings probably aren't as good as their record right now. They might lose a couple coming up. When you have a defense like this, you're in every game. So that part is not fluky.
You know what I mean?
Like, they are not a fluky part. Like, they will be in every single game basically no matter what with how they play defense.
So I don't think that they're a fluky team because this is kind of how they've been. We understand that about them. And I also think that Kyler Murray and the offense is feeling an extreme amount of pressure. Like, I think that they can get better on offense. I don't think that they're— they've tapped into what their ceiling is.
Yeah.
I think that given the talent level that they have, especially like with Justin Jefferson and what the passing game can be, I think that they can get better. I think that their offense is capable of getting better. Their defense is just going to be dominant. That's just who they are. I want to hear the behind the scenes on how Harrison Smith decided to come back this year. Like if it was an under-the-table agreement where he's like, I just don't want to do training camp. I'm old enough. Just trust me that I'll be in good shape. And I could see, I could see a team doing that for him. But I, I'm also curious to know, like, was their defense elite already? And then Flores was like, we need you to come back because I think that we can be special. Or was their defense like looking shady and like they, they weren't going to be quite as good as he expected? And he's like, this is the one piece that we need is we need, we need Harrison back at safety. I want to know how that all came to be because he's playing awesome.
Yeah.
He's playing really, really good football.
85% blitz rate is so fucking crazy.
It's crazy shit.
And Brian Flores is like a legit madman.
He's insane. He's insane and it's working. And then Blake Cashman also had an unreal game today. So Blake Cashman's stat line, 12 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 passes defended, 3 quarterback hits. He's the first player since 2005 with 2 sacks and 4 pass breakups in a game.
Geez.
He's the first player since the year 2000 with 12 tackles, 2 sacks, and 4 pass breakups in a game. Just unreal shit coming out of that defense. And I do think, I think that the pressure's on Kyler a little bit.
Well, it's coming. So there's, there's 2 things that are coming for Kyler. One is GTA.
Yep.
Which that could be a concern. Is that coming out this week?
It's never going to come out. That's, that's the—
No, it didn't get pushed, did it? No, it's coming out this week. I think it's like November 22nd. Oh, okay. Oh, that's actually right before Thanksgiving. That's kind of nice. Yeah. November 19th. Okay. November 19th. All right. So it's not coming out. So they still have a little time. The Vikings, again, I respect the hell out of the Vikings defense. If you want to make a—
Call of Duty did just come out this weekend.
Oh, Call of Duty did?
Yeah.
Oh, okay. Like when?
Like recently. Like Friday just came out. Yeah. The new game just came out.
Not a bad game from Kyler. I mean, not—
well, he didn't play great.
Not a great game, but not bad.
If you want to make the contrarian Vikings, like, zag on the fact they're 6-0. Uh, they played the Packers, which the Packers did score 22. Remember, that was week 1. Um, the Bears in a monsoon, that was a weird game with Carson Wentz, and Caleb got hurt. The Bucs, Baker's been hurt and not looking great. Dolphins are a problem. Saints are a problem. Colts are a problem. Their next 4 games are the Lions, Bills, Packers, 49ers.
Mm-hmm.
Those are really good offenses. This will be the test. If the Vikings go through these next 4 games 3-1, maybe even 2-2, I would say even 2-2, you could be like, this is— I mean, but that's, that's a little bit of a gauntlet. They got a mini gauntlet coming up.
Yeah.
Those are, those are 4 of the top 10, probably 4 of the top 7 offenses in the NFL right now. Whose lines anyway? Lions, Lions, Vikings. I think the Lions have to be like 4-point favorites, maybe 3. It's 3-point favorites. That's going to be a fun game.
What's the over-under?
46.5.
That feels high. I know, I know the Lions typically put up points. Yeah, but they give up points.
Was it not?
What are you shaking your head about?
What's the problem?
You hate the Chiefs and the Lions don't put up points. Not today.
They didn't.
Yeah, it's good.
Yeah, no, you're right. But they did yards.
They put up yards today.
They do put up points. Just today was—
yeah. Uh, the Colts are officially going to be under .500 by the trade deadline, so—
Yep.
Feels like that's gonna happen. Uh, I think Shane Steichen said something like, we're not gonna— oh, there's a couple, a couple interesting Shane Steichen quotes. Uh, I mean, I— Daniel Jones isn't good. He's not. He's, he's just not. I, I don't know, maybe try Anthony Richardson. He was asked about that. Shane Steichen said, when asked about a QB change, he said he's not going to do a change because I got a ton of faith in Daniel Jones. The game plan today was to go in and run the football. Obviously, at the end, he had the interception, and that happens in football. That doesn't feel like you have a ton of faith in Daniel Jones.
He does not.
If the game plan was to go in and run the football, and then he mentions the interception at the end of the game.
Yeah, he does not. He does not have a ton of faith, but I don't know that he's allowed to play Anthony Richardson. I, I don't know what's good. It might be Riley Leonard.
Why wouldn't he?
Because I feel like the, the Colts are just looking to trade him.
But the Colts don't have a GM.
I think— what about their interim guy?
Oh yeah, Ed Dodd.
Ed Dodd.
I forgot about Ed Dodd. Don't ever forget about Ed Dodd.
I don't know what he's allowed to do and what he's not allowed to do, but yeah, now it makes sense for them to, to, to play him.
I, I— it just— yeah, I mean, the Colts are just a— they're a sad team to watch, and it just feels like everyone At this point, just fire everyone. If you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it. So fire and trade everyone.
Shane Steichen, it felt like in his postgame press conference, he was kind of making a case to not be fired. So he was saying the fight was there. We have no lack of effort, no lack of fight. It's football. We have to find ways to win, but it ain't for a lack of trying or lack of effort.
Okay.
We ain't quitting. So that sounded like he's, he's thinking about quitting, maybe either thinking about quitting Or he's thinking about, man, this team is really close to quitting. Yeah. And he's making his case to the, to the ownership that the team has not quit. Yeah. And maybe when he met with ownership, he was like, I haven't lost the locker room. They're still playing hard. They're not quitting.
Yeah.
So that might just be him reinforcing the reasons why he should not be fired.
Yeah.
Anytime you're a coach, you got to be like, I'm not quitting. That's not a good, that's not a good sign. That's that dot right there.
He looks like a crazy, crazy fit.
Yeah.
He's just wearing a jumpsuit. He's that dot.
What do you think he's got in that suitcase? Suitcase Eddie. That's what they call him.
My, my quick fix for the Colts, and the fix is not a fix to win football games. The quick fix is to make it at least a little fun for the fans, is to fire everyone, trade everyone, start Anthony Richardson. Anthony Richardson, by the way, he got, I think, a misdemeanor for weed, which I didn't even know was still possible.
Yeah, I forgot about that.
That's crazy. And he was asked if he regrets marijuana possession charge. And he said, I enjoy life. I don't really regret a lot of things I do. I appreciate my life. I appreciate God waking me up every morning. I love that quote. You should not apologize for a misdemeanor weed possession.
As far as drug scandals and the Indianapolis Colts go, this is pretty far down on the list.
Yeah, that should be a no apology. My last note on this game is we got to get Kyler Murray a different podium because the podium is—
it was a little—
yeah, he got podium mugged.
He might. need like the apple box.
He got podium mugged bad.
Maybe a phone book.
Brian, look at that. That's podium mugged. He got podium mugged.
Yeah.
Give him— give the man a phone book to stand on.
Yeah, that's—
they have plenty of those. Also, you know who the leading receiver was for the Colts today?
Was Daniel Jones?
Keenan Allen. Oh, which is— they're not in a great spot.
Yeah.
I feel like ever since Alec Pierce has been out, the offense is just not—
no, they're—
they don't look like a real offense.
They're a depressing team.
Yes.
And credit the Vikings again, 6-0. Brian Flores is— I mean, they do do Coordinators of the Year, right? He absolutely has to win it because they've won 11 games in a row and they just, they suffocate everyone. And I think they're a good team that could be a really good team if they ever figure out an offense.
You want him as a coach? Brian Flores?
Don't you already have him? We got the next—
we got the next Brian Flores. He's from Brian's tree. Um, Durante Jones. No, but no, I don't—
He's a branch in Brian Flores's tree. Wow.
He's like, he's a strong branch.
We don't want to talk about branches in Vikings trees.
We don't want to talk about that. No, our switches. We need to make a switch and get a stronger branch.
Yeah.
No, I don't want him. No, not as a head coach. I feel like also Dan Quinn is kind of a similar vibe where great, great coordinator. It's okay to be a great coordinator. That's what I'll say about Brian Flores.
Steve Spagnuolo.
Yeah.
Great coordinator.
Awesome coordinator.
Yeah. Josh McDaniels.
Chiefs have never had a game without a red zone drive in a Mahomes start.
Wow.
Joke.
Wow.
Joke. Didn't even, didn't even compete.
They were really bad.
Signed a non-compete before this game.
They were really bad tonight. See, I mean, Seahawks needed it. And Seahawks are wearing their really cool jerseys. Didn't even compete.
Didn't go the way Kenneth Walker thought it would.
Okay, next game.
Also, I just feel bad for— I feel bad for DeForest Buckner. He seems like one of those really good players that has never really had an opportunity to be great or be an opportunity to be like in the spotlight.
Yeah, trade him.
I think that if he was on a really good team, He would be a guy that everybody would live in fear of because he's fucking huge. Trade him.
Yes, trade him.
There's a few guys, like, if we're going down the list, it's not like the Colts don't have pieces that people don't want. Like, yeah, they could get a nice little haul for him.
Quentin Nelson.
Quentin Nelson, Jonathan Taylor, DeForest Buckner, Anthony Richardson, probably.
They gotta play Anthony Richardson. Just play him.
Play Anthony Richardson.
Free him, right, Hank?
Riley Leonard.
Okay. Dolphins 28, Jets 25.
Am I up?
Yeah, you're up, Memes.
Can I jump in real quick?
Yeah.
Let's let Hank start.
Okay.
Just cheer you up.
What do you think about this?
What do you think about the Jets game?
I didn't watch too much of it because it was a Jets-Dolphins game, to be honest with you.
Right.
2 terrible teams. And the Dolphins won. I, I, I don't— I can't say I watched too much of this game.
I'm sorry. I just want to give the opportunity to start.
Honestly, it's a great take of the game.
Yeah.
Meebus, what'd you think?
The season's over.
Oh, it's over.
No, it's done. Season's over. Season ended, officially ended one week before Halloween. Made it further than last year.
Oh, no.
So what do you have to watch for? Like, what is your reason for watching Jets games every weekend from now on if the season's over?
Um, there's no reason. Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
I would just watch, but there's no reason to watch, right? Unless they win every game, which you're not going to. Right.
So, but you're still gonna watch?
I will watch.
Did you think you were gonna win this game?
Yeah. Why? The Dolphins hadn't had a lead all year.
I know, but like, I want to know because like, the memes was right. The season's over and season's been over. But like, I feel like he had some false confidence. Did you mean if you, if you knew, if you knew the season was over, like, did you think the season was going to be over before this game?
Well, no, if they won, they were back. Yeah, because they got the Raiders next week.
Right.
But now they lost to the 0-5 Dolphins. Dead.
And I mean, I don't know where you want to start. Like, what pissed you off the most? Because it was—
it was, it was the first— it was a defense. It was the first half defense. And I mean, they made a couple stops in the second half, but it was pretty much the same as when they played the Bears and the Patriots where they just could just run the ball at will and you just can't get off the field ever. Yeah.
Ollie Gordon was a beast.
And you just have a defensive head coach who had to prepare for the 0-5 Dolphins on a first-year coach who— Bobby Slowik's their OC— you should be able to hold them under 20, and you couldn't do that in one half.
What, uh, what do you think Aaron Glenn's doing right now with his 3 timeouts from the first half? Do you think he tucks them in at bedtime? Do you like kiss him on the forehead?
I think if you hit him with truth serum, he knew He just wanted time to run out. Yeah.
Because that was— yeah, that was a choice.
Yeah. No, he has no idea what to do under 2 minutes. And it's like broken his brain to the point where he knew if they got the ball back, they weren't going to do anything.
Right. So he's like, it's better that we just end this right now.
Hopefully they kick a field goal and we just will get the ball back at half.
Mm-hmm.
And then you had the moment where it was 24-17. It felt like the Jets were going to maybe squeak it out. They got first and goal from the 1— or 21-14, sorry. They got first and goal from the 1. They went -1 yard, -1 yard, 12-yard sack, and that was it. And then they gave up a big touchdown, uh, on the other— like after kicking a field goal.
Yeah, it's not a great formula when you're asking 36-year-old Geno Smith to play a perfect game. Like, he had the pick and the missed field goal, but at the same time The defense just had to make 2 stops.
Yeah.
His, uh, the whole explanation that Big Cat was talking about, like the, the communication at the end of the half, um, I actually do think— I was joking about it last week with the, the Commanders— I do think that you should be able to demand the black box communications if you want to figure out what happened between the coaching staff, the quarterback, and the coordinators.
Yeah.
I think if you're an owner You should be entitled to go back, especially if it's the Jets. Review the black box. You need to go back and figure out what happened because somebody's lying to you about what happened and you got to figure out what it is.
Yeah, I agree with that because like, I think he just constantly lies to the media and we just, we just never will actually know what's going on in his head.
So you guys have still— Aaron Glenn has yet to beat an AFC East team.
Oh, right. Yeah. 0-8.
That's pretty bad.
It's pretty bad.
That's really—
I think this— what, he's like officially fired now?
Oh, is he going to be fired during the season or is it going to be—
Memes fired him.
I know Memes, you fired him, but you're also— you fired him so that you could take his job and try to rebuild the Jets.
I will. I will be rebuilding the Jets. I don't know how you rebuild a team in a rebuild, but I'm going to figure it out.
Right.
I think you keep him. He's the best guy for the job if you want to lose.
So you think that— but does that mean that Woody Johnson will keep him?
It depends. I don't know if it was birthday today. You're the birthday guy. I— in the Epstein emails, which he was mentioned, the Jets lost to the Dolphins on his birthday, and he was pissed. And I think he fired someone on that day too.
Hmm. Okay.
So it might be a birthday firing because he's so mad you ruined my birthday.
Well, I mean, you can't lose. This is like, this is the same as the Colts last week. The Colts fired their Chris Ballard because they lost to a winless team. When you lose to a winless— Dolphins had not had a lead all season. This was a chance for the Jets to be— if you're 3-4, you're thinking like, hey, maybe outside shot at a, you know, being a wild card team. And now it's just completely like you basically just did what the Colts did last week, just a week later.
Yeah, no, it— and I blame it all on the defense. Like, I don't want to blame Geno because again, he's just old and a bridge quarterback. Like, defense just has to make one stop.
Also, if you want to do positives, Omar Cooper's a stud.
Omar Cooper's a stud. The Jets have pieces.
Yeah. He was the first Jets rookie to go consecutive games with 100 yards and a touchdown. So first in Jets history.
Yeah, he's a stud. But Frank Reichler just loves tight ends.
Yeah. Braylon Allen, Badger, really good.
Braylon Allen's a stud.
Yeah.
Breece Hall's quad is killing me.
And by the way, credit to the Dolphins. They are doing the tank perfectly because you got to win a game. They got to space out their wins and they got to win a game every now and then to keep the morale, you know, there. Chop Robinson looks awesome. Ollie Gordon was great. They ran the ball well. They have seemingly a competent coaching staff, a lot of young guys that are getting better. They're doing it correctly.
Yeah, getting a, getting a division win in the middle of a tank is always good.
Yeah.
Like, and they haven't fucked up their draft order yet. If the Chargers can at some point win a game, which I think they'll be able to do, Shane.
I don't know. Because that's the thing. Like, What the Dolphins did this week and what the Titans did last week, if I close my eyes, I can't see the Chargers doing it.
You don't think that they could fuck around?
I don't know.
Chargers play the Jets, they're gonna win that.
No, they play Jets and Dolphins.
Yeah, but the Dolphins did fuck up their tank. They beat the Jets.
If the Chargers get the first pick, Shane, do you think that the Mannings would allow Arch to go there?
What?
It's a question.
Yes.
He'll be lucky if he even gets drafted.
I'm just curious. Let alone first pick. I didn't say the first round. No, I didn't say—
hell no.
What? I didn't say the first round, Shane.
We wouldn't take him in the 7th.
Oh no, thank you. That's, that's just dumb.
I don't think so.
It's good value.
Yeah, it's good value. You wouldn't take a Manning in the 7th round?
No, dude, he made some good throws this weekend.
Yeah.
That's, that's some bad ones.
You're not—
but he makes some good ones too.
There was 2 takes that I saw online today. I'd like to hear your thoughts about memes. Our darling Jake had a comment about this game. He said, Revenge of the Fingers.
Oh, the 2 fingers.
That was his tweet. Was this a fingers revenge game, memes? Did you get revenge of the fingers?
Yeah, the fingers got me. Fingers got me.
Revenge of the Fingers is a great— that's a great, like, magazine.
No one has ever been more mad about anything.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's never moved on from anything.
And then me, fingers. Do you know the guy online? Depressed Jets Fan?
Yeah.
So Depressed Jets Fan, he quit the Jets today.
Yeah, he quits every year.
Oh, he does?
Yeah.
He said, due to recent struggles and constant pain suffered from the New York Jets, I've ultimately decided that I'm going to step away from the game I've once loved. Not sure when I'll be back. I can no longer endure the constant torture and pain the New York Jets give me.
I think that's fair. I think every Jets fan, it's been 16 years since you made the playoffs. You could opt out. Damn. Yeah. Hank's just finding out for that.
For the first time.
I didn't realize it was that long.
Yeah. It's a sports podcast. You'll figure that out one time.
No, I was like, it's just crazy. It's like one of those age things. Like I was like an adult then.
Yeah. You're too old to Look shit up.
No, it's just the time. Time goes quick, you know?
Yeah.
He's got a little bit of brightness in his eyes for the first time all day. I love it.
Yeah. Hungry dog didn't hit.
Nope.
Sure didn't.
Never does.
This is also a great, a great locker room scene that was set forth by Rich, Rich Cimini. He said Geno Smith and Garrett Wilson, among the last players around, emerged from the shower at the same time, talking to each other as they head to their lockers.
Yeah.
Hashtag Jets.
Yeah.
Really painted a picture of what that, that locker room vibe It was like, yeah, they just don't throw Garrett Wilson the ball.
It sounds like that's what Geno was doing.
But CBS did do a good job of being like, couldn't have thrown to him on this play. Like, he'd be like, he's double covered. But when he was open, Geno would just get sacked. Or it was planned by the Dolphins defense to push Geno out to the other side so he has to throw to someone else. Like, defense's game plan for Garrett Wilson. But now you have Amari Cooper. They can't trade Garrett Wilson. No, they can't do it.
No, you already have— you, you have 3 picks in the top 10, right? Where are your picks right now?
Look up Tankins Gone.
We have Colts, we have Cowboys.
Yeah, you have right now the 6th pick, the 9th pick, and the 11th pick.
It's pretty good.
That's a pretty good start to fixing the defense.
Shane, do you want Jeremiah Smith?
Yes.
Sprint up to the podium. Sprint up to the podium. Sprint up.
Biggest no-brainer of all time. What about getting Zesty for Mesty? Why would I do that?
Jeremiah Smith's right there.
Yeah. Yeah. Take Jeremiah Smith. Yeah.
Best player available.
What about, what about Zesty?
What about Zesty for Mesty?
What about Zesty for Mesty?
You said they say Mesty is Josh Allen with Patrick Mahomes throwing motion.
Wow. Jets should get him.
Good.
It's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
They won't.
Sounds like he'll play good in New York. You're getting, you're getting pervert for Herbert. You need to get zesty.
I've always been.
Yeah. No, no, thank you.
What about getting zesty for Mesty?
You keep asking me that. I'm a pervert for Herb.
I don't like the way that Max says it.
It was zesty.
It was zesty.
That's the whole point.
Okay.
Browns 27, Titans 24. The Browns are just the Browns, the 5-2 Cleveland Browns. who are in first place in the AFC North. They have another date with the, uh, Steelers next week. I think it's when big brother— when little brother becomes big brother on Dom's, uh, sheet. The Browns just do the same thing every week, and I just— it's kind of fun. Their defense plays well, although this, this week Tony Pollard like scored 3 touchdowns. He had 2, I think, in like before he even sat down. Uh, and then they stay close enough that Deshaun Watson is Mr. Fourth Quarter. Deshaun Watson was in the fourth quarter 8 for 11, 89 yards and a rushing touchdown. He had a go-ahead touchdown drive and a game-winning field goal drive. The, the Browns in their 5 wins have had 5 game-winning drives from Deshaun Watson.
Mm-hmm.
Just keep it close enough for Deshaun Watson. The only other 2 players to have 5 game-winning drives in their first uh, 5 wins for a team in a season. Matthew Stafford in 2016 and Troy Aikman in 1990. They just do it. They just do it. And I don't— it's, it's kind of entertaining to watch.
I think it is. I don't think that there are going to be some people that say the Cleveland Browns are frauds. I don't think that the Browns are frauds. No, I—
no, because I don't think they're that good.
Right. Yeah, right. The Browns.
Yeah.
And I think a lot of people, even Browns fans watching them, They get the same vibe watching them as you or I might get if we're on a roulette table and we keep betting on red and red keeps hitting. Yeah. And we're fucking excited. We're like, holy shit, I can't believe that red hit again. Yeah, but it's not— we don't think that red's going to keep hitting for the rest of our lives. No, it's going to maybe bounce back every now and again, but they're just enjoying the crazy wins that they're pulling out of their ass all the time, which is a great place to be.
And guess what? Their schedule isn't that tough. No, they might. Like, they could be a playoff team. I wouldn't— I'm not going to totally rule that out.
Right. So if you look at like the point differential and stuff like— you're missing the point of the Cleveland Browns, right? I'm not going to treat the Cleveland Browns the same way that I would treat the Minnesota Vikings, for example.
Right.
They're—
the Cleveland Browns are— the fact that they're 5-2 is pretty damn cool.
Yeah.
And Deshaun Watson is playing serviceable football, which is a good thing for the Cleveland Browns. And yeah, they're, they're 5-2.
Yep.
That Browns fans got to be pumped. And they also know if they play a really good team, it's going to be difficult, but it could be good.
You never know.
And if you win next week against the Steelers, you'd have 2 games up on the Steelers.
You'd have—
I think you'd be 3-0 in the division. That would be pretty insane. So that would be something.
In between Deshaun Watson's last 300-yard passing games. And today there were 495 other players who passed for 300, or 495 different games in which somebody passed for 300 yards.
Okay.
It's a long time. 2020, week 17 was the last time Deshaun went off for 300.
Okay.
So he might be kind of back.
He's—
if you get him to the 4th quarter, he's going to win you a football game. And I think that's just what he's been doing.
All season, he's gotta have a party now.
Yeah. And all season it's like, hey, we need to Deshaun drive, let's go do it.
Party at Deshaun's.
I will say the Titans, maybe they found something where they, they were— they looked a lot more competent as a football team. That was mostly Tony Pollard who was really good running the ball. Uh, they look more competent though than they have. It's something about beating the Colts has, has given them like, hey, I'm a big boy, I can do this kind of energy.
I was gonna say that like the first The first quarter, if you're a Titans fan, you probably— there was a second where you thought we might just be really, really good. How many did they score in the fourth quarter against the Colts? Was it 20?
Uh, I think so.
Yeah.
So 20 points in the fourth quarter, 14 in the first today, 34 points in, in one cumulative half of football. There are some Titans fans out there that thought like, we might have figured this shit out. Yeah, Salah was right. We were close and we just turned the corner.
We almost did it. But yeah, I got the Browns, 5-2 Browns. Hank, do you take the 5-2 Browns seriously?
No.
They have a better record than the Patriots.
No.
Okay. Does anyone?
Why?
Because it's Cleveland Browns in the playoffs. Like, they're not gonna make a serious run. Are you saying that they could not make a serious run in the playoffs?
Are you saying we all know that they're 5-2? Is it because of the schedule?
No, it's just the, the team, the organization, the city. Like, they could be— they could have a good record. They could be a high-ranked seed going to the playoffs. They're not. making a run.
Mostly the city.
It sounds like it's all things combined.
Defense is good.
Could they make a run to the Super Bowl? No. Yes or no?
Yeah. 141 yards on the ground to the Titans.
Yeah, that's true.
Yeah, it did happen. I think it was the beginning of the game was like they got kind of—
that's still the game.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
The Browns aren't good. We know the Browns aren't good.
I want to— I listen, Browns fans should be happy. 5-2 is awesome.
Yeah, they should be.
They definitely should be happy.
And this game against the Steelers is huge. They should have flexed it. That would have been— that actually is probably the exact sign.
Yeah. Now we have to watch this shit bowl between the Commies and the Eagles.
Yeah. Not flexing the Browns and the Steelers, 2 5-2 teams, to see who gets sole possession of the AFC North so that we can watch the Commanders and the Eagles on Sunday Night Football. That's bullshit, America.
It's going to be so—
yeah, it sucks. It sucks. I always hate when my team's playing in primetime, especially when I get embarrassed.
Yeah.
It's like, I— this is for me to watch.
And it's such a shit bowl that, like, you're not even going to be happy about the— like, even if—
yeah, it's— This is my private thing that I get to watch, and I don't really love it, but I hate it when other people watch.
I mean, you guys are talking like you won't talk shit to each other and like that. Like, if you win, you won't be very excited. You will.
Well, it depends if the Eagles win tomorrow.
Yeah, because then they could still win the division.
Yeah.
But if you beat the Eagles, you'll be pumped.
Of course.
Yeah.
Of course. Yeah. You kidding me?
Still win the division.
Prime time. Yeah.

Okay, Bucs 43, Panthers 13. I'm gonna say something I never thought I'd say. Todd Bowles did a really good job coaching today.
They were prepared.
They were prepared, but not only were they prepared, they basically said, hey, Baker's back, he's still not 100%, let's win this game without having to get Baker killed and put the onus on him. So what do they do? They ran the fuck out of the football and they played incredible defense. They— Bucky Irving, 24, uh, rushes for 106 yards and 200— or 2 touchdowns. I think he had— I think he had 11 runs in the first drive or something like that. They were just running the ball. They just ran the ball, ran the ball, ran the ball, and then were really, really good on defense and harassed the fuck out of Bryce Young to the point that we saw Kenny Pickett— there was 11 Bucs players who had a QB pressure. They had 5 sacks, 51% pressure rate. The Bucs have the makings of a team that like could be good because their defense has been good and they've just had really shitty losses where, you know, things have fallen apart. I don't know. They dismantled the Panthers today. The Panthers should never be favorites. Even if the Panthers are good, they shouldn't be favorites.
That strip sack that, that they had where Kancey picked it up. Yep. That was pretty sick. Returned into the end zone, did a little front flip.
Yep.
Even though he's always hurt, he's like, I can, I can go balls out and celebrate on this one.
Yeah.
The defense played awesome today. Baker just handed the ball off a ton.
48 runs for 261 yards.
Why do you think, why do you think they weren't able to do this when they didn't have Baker at quarterback?
Well, the Panthers run defense is bad because, I mean, the Bears week 1, we ran for like 280 yards on the Panthers. I think the Panthers run defense is very bad. That was— but it was— I'm just saying, from a guy who I don't have a lot of trust in, in Todd Bowles, he came prepared in this.
He didn't fuck this one up.
Yeah, because like you could just see a world where he's like, oh, Baker's back, we'll make him throw it 30 times.
This was the correct— yeah, I agree, this was the correct game plan to have coming back. I, I don't know necessarily that the, uh, the Bucs are fixed though.
But dude, their defense is good. Like, they have a good defense. Their losses are maddening, but they were— they have not gotten like blown out in any games. And I, I— if you're ranking NFC South, uh, units, yeah, Falcons offense, Panthers offense, which was bad today, but Bucs defense is there. Like, they—
look at the—
look at all the games they were in. They were in— they've lost one-score games and they've all been kind of ridiculous losses. They shouldn't be. How this happened. Yeah. So I, I, I do think that like their defense can get them back in this thing. And if they win next week against the Falcons, which is a home game for them, they now would have 2 wins in the, in the, uh, division. And I mean, the Panthers are 3-3 and they lead the division. They're only 2 games back. So I, I don't know. I'm, I'm starting to— if Baker can get healthy and return to what we saw at the beginning of last year, They do have, I think, probably the, the most reliable unit in that. That's what I'll put it as. The most reliable unit in the NFC South is the Bucs defense.
Most reliable.
Most reliable.
Okay.
Because we've seen the up and down nature of the Falcons offense and the Panthers offense. So, and again, if you look at what the Bucs have done this year, they have been reliably good on defense. So I'm— yeah, this was a big step for them where it's like they're— you're never out of it in the NFC South. You're never out of it.
That second quarter for the, for the Bucs was so good, so dominant. 26 points on the board, uh, field goal, fumble return for a touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, all in the second quarter. At least it was over by halftime because I think that if you're the Panthers, you can— it's easier to burn the tape and move on, be like, this game was out of hand by halftime. We don't— whatever happened before that sucked, but we don't necessarily think that it's part of our identity moving forward.
Yeah, it was Bryce's first really, really bad game this year.
I think that they— I don't think that this is going to linger with them too much. And I don't think that they're that bad of a team. And maybe that's just me being really bitter because I did pick them to beat the— to cover the spread against the Bucs.
Okay.
They were 3-point favorites.
You did.
So you're never supposed to do bet the favorites, but the Panthers are favorites.
That does— that does stick with me a little bit. But at the end of the day, I do think that it's— if you're going to get— if you're going to lose to a division rival, I think it's better to have one quarter where everything possible goes wrong and then you're like, fuck it. Okay, we're not going to win this one. We'll regather and we're going to move forward and pretty much act like this game never even happened.
Yeah.
Kenny Pickett came in and Kenny at some point is no longer a 2-glove guy. No, the right hand was completely exposed.
Yeah, he came in early.
He came in.
It was over so fast.
The game was over super early today. It's a complete Canales was talking about this is, I think, the worst half of football that he's ever been a part of. That's what he said, at least. I went back for just the last couple of years that he's coached the Panthers.
This is the—
that was the worst half of football that he's witnessed. And he's, he's seen some really bad halves of football.
Damn. Yeah, that is saying something. Yeah, I'm going to, I'm going to buy some Bucs. What's, what's the, what's the Bucs to win the NFC South? Can you look that up for me, Max? I don't know if I'm gonna do it, but I'm, I'm just saying they have, they have been a weird— +450. They've been a weird kind of— I don't want to call snakebitten, but think about their losses this year. Like, remember the, the, the stupid loss where the weather delay with the— it was like 3-hour weather delay, lost by like a field goal to the Packers. They were up by 13 to the Steelers in the 4th quarter.
They—
now I'm saying all this and Todd Bowles is still the head coach, so I'll look like an absolute fool when he gets into a big situation with a must-win and they, they completely squander it.
But I think Todd figured it out, though, which is if you get up to a 29-point lead, yeah, you don't really have to worry about timeouts and going for it. You can just like kind of go off vibes and be just fine.
And the Panthers, by the way, so games allowing 42 points this season. the NFL, in the entire NFL, not including the Panthers, there's been 3 of them. The Panthers have 2 of them, so they have 2 out of the 5 total. So yeah, this Panthers defense is a problem.
Mm-hmm.
It's definitely a problem. And Bryce Young was not good. So that's that. Like, when he's not good, they can, they can, they are built to potentially win shootouts when Bryce Young plays like he's been playing. Now, I don't know. And again, Baker, I'd say if you hit 64, I think he was 7 for 11. But the one, the one thing that would make you be like, oh, Baker might be close to coming back is that Tez Johnson, that scramble drill he had, touchdown Tez Johnson to end the quarter is like, okay, he's feeling it. Maybe he can ramp it up a little bit more. But again, great job. Very impressed by Todd Bowles. I think the Bucs are very live in the NFC South because they haven't played any division games yet. So they kind of control their own destiny in that respect. You know what I mean? Like, if they beat the Falcons next week— not saying they will— but if they beat the Falcons next week, they, they now have one over on the 2 teams ahead of them, and they'd be tied with the Falcons.
When is Ameka Bouka going to get back?
I don't know.
I mean, he hasn't been good.
I know, but theoretically, he— we have seen him be good in the past.
Yeah, they just gotta— they should just run the ball. Just build the whole thing out of Bucky Irving. Build, build the whole thing. out of Bucky Irving. I don't know when he'll be back.
I like Sean Tucker too.
Yeah. Okay. Last game, early window.
A running back wearing a number in the 40s just looks awesome to me.
Yeah.
And just run your ass over.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I just— it was just a perfect game for the Bucs. It's just an absolute laugher. Didn't matter. Oh, again, 11 Bucs players had a QB pressure.
All right.
Bengals 35, Ravens 13. Not as severe because it was such a laugher in the second half, but the Ravens did it again where they had— they have 3 losses this year. All 3 losses they've been leading at halftime. Their halftime leads in those 3 losses: 14-6, 10-0, 13-0. They were up, uh, 13-0 in the first half. The Bengals looked like one of the worst teams ever in the first half. Not only was Snoop Huntley and Zay Flowers dicing them, But Joe Burrow looked lost.
Couldn't—
like, the Bengals didn't have the ball in the first half. He was 6 for 12 for 43 yards. They had 19 plays total and 59 yards. And then the second half happened and Joe Burrow absolutely skull fucked the Ravens.
By the way, I think that this— I don't necessarily agree with the way that you framed it. I think this is worse for the Ravens.
No, I know. I'm saying they just keep doing it. They keep having leads and losing.
Right. This is, this is an egregious one. It's—
oh no.
Well, I think it's not egregious because it's still Stu Puntley. That's, that's the only reason part. It's not like they, they just run out of plays for him. He comes out and the scripted plays look good and then it just doesn't look good anymore. So that's where I get like—
I get that it's not Lamar, but this is the first time that a team's lost by 20 with a 13-point halftime lead since 1950.
Yeah.
Like, shut up.
Like, this, this is, this is pretty bad. Like, if you're a Ravens fan, You're starting to wonder like, okay, how, how much of this was really Harbaugh's fault and how much is just some other shit that's going on in the building because they can't stop blowing these leads.
I meant, I meant more that wasn't, that wasn't like blowing a 10-point lead in the 4th quarter, right? The way Joe Burrow came out in the 2nd half, like the Bengals went down the field and scored and I think the live line was even money even though they were still down 6 because it was so obvious what the Bengals were about to do, and they did exactly that. So it wasn't like a, how do we let that one get away? Because you still had a half of football, and the Bengals were so good in the second half. And it's Snoop Huntley. You need Lamar back. The Ravens are not good. I mean, they're just— their defense looked terrible in the second half, and Snoop Huntley, just like, he can't— he's a backup quarterback for a reason.
They've been outscored 48 to nothing in the second half in the last 2 games. The, the drives in the second half for the Bengals went as such: 9 plays, 66 yards, touchdown. 6 plays, 47 yards, touchdown. 6 plays, 76 yards, touchdown. 5 plays, 79 yards, touchdown. 3 plays, 24 yards, touchdown. Tee Higgins had 0 catches in the first half, 6 catches, 148 yards, a touchdown in the second half. And, um, Ja'Marr Chase apparently lit into everybody in the locker room at halftime.
They looked that bad?
Yeah.
I'm not surprised.
Yeah, Ja'Marr Chase was the one that gave the speech. He got— apparently he cried last week in the locker room when he gave the halftime speech. He said, this, this week I didn't cry, but I lit into everybody. I've done it before. I cried last time, didn't cry this time. We got to step this shit up and make something work. And then it came out in the second half and everything, everything that they tried.
Joe Burrow played perfect football in the second half.
Yeah.
16 for 18, 249 yards, 4 touchdowns. Perfect football.
It's the 10th time since 2022 the Ravens have blown a double-digit lead.
See, I don't even think of it as a double-digit lead just because there was so much football to be played and you just need Lamar back. I don't know what to say. Like, you can't— and I don't—
it's—
is it not kind of weird that he hasn't come back?
So now we do this all the time. We got into an argument about, about his ankle with somebody because they said— we heard from, uh, from Rap Sheet that it wasn't a high sprain, it wasn't a low sprain, it was like a medial sprain. And he goes, oh, is that what they told you? Well, you can talk to my trainer because the trainer here said it's a high ankle sprain.
Okay.
So I guess that's what it is. But yeah, this is—
All right. So he's giving the right answer that he's, he's actually hampered because I just—
yeah.
I don't know.
His explanation, it does make sense. It's infuriating if you're a Ravens coach or if you're a Ravens fan. But he's saying like, if I do play with it, I'm just going to be a pocket passer. I'm going to be a statue and I suck at that. And like, he's not wrong. He needs to have that, that extra dimension to be Lamar.
But he still would be better than Stidham.
probably would be.
Yeah.
Like, that's, that's where it would be like, just, I don't know.
And then after the game, Jesse Minter did— he hit, he hit the button and he said, it starts with me, goes all the way down. So we got to— it's our first— it starts with me.
Their defense was really bad in the second half. Did you see the play that Marlon Humphrey got? He got burned 3 times on one single play by Tee Higgins. Yeah, it was actually It was a brutal watch. He got burned to the inside. Then, then I think it was maybe Joe Burrow was under pressure. He, he, he then went and ran by him and then ran by him again after he caught the ball.
Bad.
Yeah, it was really bad.
And the Ravens have to play— I think their next 2 games are the Bills and the Jaguars. I want to say that's not good.
Lamar's got to be back. He's got to be back against the Bills.
They're in last place in the AFC North.
Their uniforms today were so purple. Yeah. None more purple. You can't, you can't get more purple than they were.
At Bills and then home against the Jaguars on short week on Thursday Night Football. That is— I don't know if you want to, you want to have that defensive performance and have to go play at the Bills off of a bye.
You think that Jesse Menter would be able to to do something about that defense.
Yeah.
So he did say, yeah, he said it starts with me. He said it twice after the game. And our guy Ryan Paganetti, he did a study on coaches. I requested this specifically custom research for us.
Nice.
How often do you have coaches say it— said after a loss, it starts with me? And then what is the outcome after that? What happens the next week when a coach says it starts with me? The next week they cover at a 54% rate. Oh, so just, just a little nugget. I think that means maybe we bet on the Ravens next week.
Not if Snoop Huntley's playing.
I think it might be Lamar. Why do you look confused?
I thought it was gonna be Lamar this week. We all thought it was gonna be Lamar this week. I don't know.
He was limping.
Who?
Lamar.
I know. I'm just saying, like, the way the line moved in the early, early thoughts, it was going to be Lamar. If it's, if it's Tyler Huntley, you can't— I also just like you, I feel bad for Tyler Huntley. He did his job. Yeah, he went 1-1. He should be able to clock out and be like, I did my job. I went 1-1.
1-2 even isn't that bad.
Yeah, but that's it.
At some point, like, this is past— this is not the job description.
Yeah, you're asking me to do too much. You're giving me It's like when everyone says they're proficient in Excel, and then they give you the real thing. You're like, hold on a second. Yeah, I mean, wizard.
I know how to move the mouse.
I know how to open it and that you can add 2 things together in the cells.
What's a function? How do you— how does this guy make his cells light up?
I actually think that the proficient in Excel too, like that, every single employer knows that that's bullshit. Do you have to— I think you have to like prove Or write— you would write something different if you actually knew how to use Excel, right?
You'd have a certification, right?
I would just— I remember, I mean, I haven't had a resume in a very long time, but it would just be proficient. And then I would just write like Microsoft Word, Excel, Notes, whatever. Yeah, no one's perfect. The people who are proficient in Excel, they don't say it like that.
I'm proficient in email.
I've watched people— I mean, have you watched the Excel Olympics? Yeah, that shit is insane.
They don't use a mouse. Yeah, they just go tab, Pinky.
I remember like my, my like third week out of college working and saying I was proficient in Excel and then watched as a coworker did something and I was just like, wait, okay, never mind.
Like, that guy's just—
I'm not, I'm not, I'm not proficient.
Memes, are you, are you proficient?
That's what I'm trying to find.
I used to be. I took a class on it.
Really?
Yeah.
Good for you.
Teach us something.
If, if is big.
If—
am I spelling your name right?
What about then?
I think then is in there. I used to know. I used to know. You got to close the parentheses. And then if you're able to do macros, you could, you could get a job.
What's a macro?
PFT does macro.
I do it every Monday, Wednesday, record it.
That's, that's how you do it. You have to record macro.
Yeah.
And then that Macro gets what macros?
You're just talking macros?
No, no, no. Back, back in the day when I used to work in accounting, we had a macro guy who would write them. He would write the macros.
What does it mean?
What are you saying? This is how unproficient— unproficient.
Those are people who are super efficient. They're able to write macros.
Shane, do you even know what you're saying?
I got, I got the base level of knowledge for Excel.
That might have Google Sheets. I'm so bad at it that if you send me an Excel, I could probably break it in like 2 seconds just by being an idiot. I always get scared. I don't even like— I'm so bad at Excel. Like someone will share something with me. And I'll not really know what I'm looking at. Like, it's, it's made It has everything there.
Oh, Shane, that should maybe be like a punishment to get an Excel class. Oh, with a test that you have to pass.
Ooh.
Can I explain what a macro is?
Yeah, sure.
An Excel macro is a saved sequence of actions, keystrokes, and commands that Excel replays on command to automate repetitive tasks.
Wow.
So you write it.
That sounds really cool.
It's like a robot.
Yeah.
Is that AI?
Yeah, essentially.
Sweet. Damn, I like that punishment. One of us should actually do that.
Actually, you're proficient.
I'm trying to—
I think I'm pretty Mount Rushmore next year.
You're proficient in triple XL.
Damn, I'm not triple XL.
Hank, what was one of the mean things you said?
Stop it. I don't— I didn't even do anything.
Chubby's—
I didn't have a list.
Chubby's not mean.
You're chubby too.
What the fuck, dude?
It's just— I'm not going to talk to Hank anymore because I don't want to. I don't want to catch any of these.
Everyone stop being mean.
It's not mean.
It's just true.
It's just lashing out.
I don't think Big Cat's chubby.
Chubby-ish.
No.
Just like Hank's a loser-ish because he can't win the Hungry Dog.
I'm a loser.
How do you— how do you get— how do you win the money line of the New York Giants +10 and not walk away with anything.
I'm a loser.
That's insane.
I'm a loser.
And there were some dogs that won today.
Yeah, I'm a loser.
Bucs dog.
I had them.
Falcons dog. Okay.
All right.
Go to the afternoon games. You think? Just gave me a look like you're going to keep going because we'll go past Chubby.
No, I didn't say that.
No, I know you looked at Uh, oh, oh, here we go.
Let's bring it back.
Come on back. Come on, Hank. Let's get to the lockback.
Hank, you're not a loser.
Really good.
You're not a loser. You're not a loser.
Think about the dabs.
Also, you, you— so many dabs.
You picked—
like, I was impressed that you called out the Giants today. That was a great fucking—
Thanks, man.
You know ball.
Yeah, thanks. Totally.
What? I'm being honest.
I know.
That was a good callout. Like, they're 10-point underdogs.
Hey, you've seen what—
it's not that serious.
3 World Series wins.
Yep.
How many Super Bowls?
6.
6 Super Bowls.
Not that serious.
Countless daps.
You lost a bet.
A Stanley Cup.
Tomorrow.
2 Celtics championships. A parade.
We'll all lose bets.
2 Water Dogs titles.
What do you say, Max?
I had nothing to say.
Oh, at the college football show on Friday at UConn, which is a great crowd, someone, someone made a sign that just said, like, shout out the Water Dogs or like Water Dogs for life. And I did the— I just pointed to my finger. I went 1, 2 for my rings. It's pretty cool.
Do you still have that ring?
No, but it felt cool. Do you think you're there to do the like— yeah, Water Dogs.
Do you think you'll get the second one?
Yeah. Yeah.
You know what?
Paul Riebel's our guy. We will do it.
Probably donated those first rings to charity, but we do so much charity work, we just kind of forgot about it.
I think Billy took them.
Ah, yeah, probably. That could be also, also worth investigating.
We'll find them. Okay, Broncos 30, Cardinals 16.
2 fingers with their rings.
2 fingers.
Broncos 30, Cardinals 16. Broncos offense, Bo Nix. Bo Nix. Now the run was awesome. I don't think— I don't remember seeing a run like that in a while in the NFL where it was a 62-yard scramble that there wasn't anyone even close to him. And did he complete all his deep passes? No, but he took them. So he tried to throw deep.
Bo Nix heard the criticism. He heard Ryan Fitzpatrick say that he was disrespecting the position. And in, uh, Week 7, he had the highest average depth of target.
Love that.
Because he just came out Bombing them, just throwing deep every play, being like, fuck you guys. I know what you're saying about me, calling me the checkdown king. Because before, I think his average was like 6.3.
I think it was lower than that. It was like 4.9.
For his depth of target, it might have been lower. I know at some point it was in the low 6s. But yeah, last week, taking that into account, it probably is like right around 5. And then this, yeah, this week it was 11.3 at one point today. I think it it evened out being 10.92.
There you go, Bo.
So Bo was like, yeah, there you go, Bo. I'm gonna air it out. I'm gonna throw it deep and, uh, and fuck what you guys are saying. But honestly, you guys might have a point too.
Yeah, no, he wasn't like he was great, but he, he might be getting his swagger back. Yeah, this is how you got to get your swagger.
That's when I heard Big Cat say like, we're— what'd you call it, like a point of crisis?
It was—
that's when Bo Nix starts to do the good Bo Nix.
If he came out and played the Cardinals, the Arizona Cardinals, where you know that the Broncos defense is going to put Jacoby set in hell. Yep, they were in hell. Nick Bonino had a billion pressures in this game. Alex Singleton had 19 tackles. They were in hell. If you know that your defense can put the Cardinals in hell, you can have— and you come out and you don't throw it past the line of scrimmage, then it's a point of crisis. Bo Nix, you passed the point of crisis.
You're good.
You're— well, no, you're not good.
You're Bo.
You're trying to— you're close to getting your swagger back. Oh no, Hank just tweeted, my bets never hit. I blow the parlay for the boys and the people. I can't golf from either side. I exist solely for dogs to bite and rip a toy version of me to shreds.
Okay, a couple of things. Number one, this sounds like Olivia Soprano. She gave her Twitter account. Number two, Hank, you've been dominating people in the callouts.
Yeah, I'm just saying what people are saying and I agree with them.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, oh, the audacity to have Locke in your name. Shaking my head.
That's pretty funny.
Really funny.
Oh, okay.
It wasn't funny. Sorry, Travis. Delete that.
I agree.
Not funny.
It's not.
Max is reporting it. Wait, what are the, what are the options for reporting? I've never seen that.
I reported it.
What are the options for a good guy, Max? I'm going to be a real loser to report spam, hate abuse, child safety, impersonation, illegal and regulated behaviors, private or nonconsensual content, suicide or self-harm, terrorism, terrorism, civic integrity. That's real nerd shit. Okay. We need to get Bidwell out of Arizona. I promised someone this morning that I would say that. I think he's a pretty bad owner because the Cardinals suck.
He's a terrible owner.
And, uh, let's get him out. Let's get him the fuck out. He's a piece of shit. Let's get him out.
I agree.
Team has never been good. It's been good one time.
He's milking the fan base.
Yeah, he's— he— and it sucks. And he's— sell the team. Get the fuck out. You have no intentions of winning. I'm gonna do some more research on this Bidwell guy. I'm gonna do Big Cat Finds Out. And when I say that, I'm gonna just name search Bidwell and just someone's gonna probably have a thread that's like, this is why he sucks. And I'll, I'll be in on it.
I know that he has been named in a lot of lawsuits.
Okay.
I know that for sure.
Guy.
Yeah, he's been in trouble with, with the league. He's been on the shortlist.
Okay.
Like, like Goodell has put him on the hot seat and been like, hey, you got to straight up and fly right, Bidwell.
Well, let's get him the fuck out. Yeah, the, the, the fans, uh, the, the game was all Broncos fans, literally just orange everywhere.
Yeah, it's pretty bad.
And it was Larry Fitzgerald Day, which is— Larry's the man.
He's coming back, right?
He might be coming back.
Is this the first ever— did they put him in the Ring of Honor?
I think so.
The first ever guy in the Ring of Honor who has not retired.
Sell the team, Michael Bidwell. Sell the fucking team. You're a bad guy.
There is a hashtag Bidwell Out campaign. Mm-hmm. Fans raised over $8,000 for digital billboards across the Phoenix metro area. Mm-hmm. I didn't incur— it actually didn't make him sell the team, but I appreciate the effort.
Yes, that's good effort. I'm buying Broncos stock, by the way. I'd like to report that. Buying Broncos stock. If they can— there's a huge— they have a huge matchup next week against the Chiefs. They find a way to win that game. They're back in control of the AFC West. Their defense is really, really good. Remember how bad they played against the Chiefs in week 1? They've fixed a lot of that. I'm buying Broncos stock, especially if Bo Nix is gonna, is gonna take some risks. We need Bo Nix to take risks. We need Bo Nix to run. He did both those today.
Dottington Bones.
This was like a warm-up game for the Chiefs next week. Buying the Broncos stock.
There are like 5 or 6 times every game where I see Bo Nix scrambling, it does feel like he can pick up a first down and he doesn't. Now he's going and now he's doing it. That was an electric run that he had today.
Now he's going to. Okay, let's do the last 2 ads and then we will finish with Lions and Packers and Rams and Raiders.

People out there think margaritas are a summer drink.
Like once Labor Day hits, you pack up the salt rim, you put the blender in storage, you switch to pumpkin spice something. Absolutely not. Margaritas aren't just for summer. I enjoy tequila year round. I'm a 4-season guy. That's why I keep it Cuervo. Football Sunday, keep it Cuervo. Tailgating in a parking lot when it's 38 degrees and Big Cat's complaining about his toes?

Okay.
Lions 20, Packers 17. This was a frustrating game to watch. I think we can all agree on that. Would that be a fair way to say it?
Yeah, it was very frustrating to watch. Yes.
Very frustrating game to watch because there was a ton of yards and a ton of flags and not a lot of points. And listen, there's a lot of ways you can lose a football game. I think blaming the refs is kind of silly, but I hate— I hate to say this, but if you're a Packers fan, you probably have a few complaints because there were some questionable roughing the passer calls.
Roughing the passer was egregious.
There was a couple of them. Yeah.
Egregious. And then there was like a late whistle or a whistle that didn't even happen when the ref threw the flag from his back, which, by the way, that's a great play. That ref just went out there and made a play.
Yep.
But it was, it was for like unnecessary roughness. But there was no, there was no whistle and the player on offense got up like he hadn't been touched down.
Yeah.
So I understand why you would, you play through the E and whistle.
Yeah.
You don't play through the W and whistle.
Yeah. And it was also a weird game because it was essentially like the Packers and the Lions, Matt LaFleur and Dan Campbell had a bet on who can pass up more field goals.
And they—
I don't even know who ended up passing up more field goals. Packers probably should have passed up more field goals because Trace Smack sucked. I know his last one got blocked, but he missed a chip shot in the first half as well.
0 for 2 from 35 yards and in.
Yeah, so, uh, it was, it was a, it was a weird game because again, there was some like very fun explosive plays. Jamo scored twice. Amon-Ra had a billion yards. Josh Jacobs, not great guy, but pretty damn good at football. Uh, he was back and he had a, a pretty unbelievable touchdown. But yeah, it was a tough watch. Lions though, I, I'll say this, Lions defense looks like they're, they're trending in the right way. Brian Branch coming back was big.
Brian Branch is, is one of the elite safeties when he's healthy. And yeah, he had that great interception on Love today. It's good to see him back. I also like the little green like antenna mouthpiece that he has sticking out of his helmet. That's always cool to see.
Also helps that the Packers are— I, I don't know what the stats are. I don't think I've ever seen a team drop more balls. They just have wide receivers that cannot— they get there, they have wide receivers that are all so fast and get open and drop balls. Golden, man, he just drops it.
Golden, he would be, he would be so good if wide receivers didn't have hands. Yeah, he's always open. He's always in the right place. The balls are always hitting him in stride. And when he catches them, He even has trouble like getting after the catch. He's like, he doesn't believe that he caught it. And then as he brings it in, it gets knocked out.
Yeah.
He's just, he's a very frustrating player to watch because he could be, he could be amazing.
Yeah.
And instead it's like you can't really trust throwing him the ball. Dan Campbell, what the fuck are you doing? That's my question coming out of this game. Congrats on the win.
I kind of liked it.
Going on his own 24-yard line?
Yeah.
Going for it? Well, his explanation actually made me feel like a bitch even questioning him because his explanation was Well, I thought we would get it. Number one, I really believed we would get it. Number two, I knew we would get the ball back if it didn't work out. So I guess checkmate. Dave Campbell knew that all that was going to happen.
Okay.
I know this is going to sound crazy because I do defend these very aggressive moves a lot. The reason why I like it is, you know, that if you're the Lions, your defense has not been good this year. If you punt the ball in that situation, there's a very good chance the Packers can run out the clock and kick a field goal. a field goal. If you don't get it— if you get it, you're probably gonna go score. And if you don't get it, the Packers now have the ball at the 24-yard line. There's not enough— like, they can't waste the— you, you'll get the ball back. Either they score a touchdown or kick a field goal, you're getting the ball back with time left. So I think that's kind of why he did it.
It's still a crazy wild boy move, and it did work out.
But I think that's why— like, it's actually, in a weird way— I don't know if this is how he thought about it, But there's no way that the Packers can run out the clock when they get the ball on the 24-yard line. There's a very high chance the Packers could run out the clock if you punt it away and they have 4 and a half minutes to just slowly go down the field and burn timeouts. And then like you would never get the ball back. So I kind of like it. It is crazy. I like it.
His explanation was that he knew that they were going to get the ball back. Well, I think he knew that the Packers weren't going to score. No, I think that's your defense to not Allow any scores. No, from the 24-yard line.
No, I think he's saying exactly what I'm saying, that they could let up a field goal or touchdown and they would— yeah, they would. Oh, they'll, they'll get the ball back. They'll get the ball back with enough time. You can't waste— you can't run the clock out from the, from the 24-yard line with 4 and a half minutes left and all 3 timeouts in the 2-minute warning. That was his, his point, which I think, I, I think it's correct. I agree, Max.
I'm 100% on his side. I think it's smart.
I think, yeah.
More people should think that way.
Yeah.
On their own 24-yard line.
Yeah.
Because you can't— you're going to get the ball back. Like, there's one way or another.
Frustrating than like, yeah, you punting it away and thinking it's like, okay, all you got to do is get a stop here and you're going to get it back. And then they just slowly, slowly, slowly bleed it, bleed it, bleed it, and you're dead.
Not only that, but it's obviously dependent on the team that you have.
Yeah.
If you're the Seahawks, you probably punt it. But the Lions have a bad defense and a really good offense. You just want to have as many shots with your offense as possible. And if, if Dan— if the Packers score a touchdown, Dan Campbell is probably going to try to score a touchdown and go for 2 and win it that way.
The very end of the game was so funny watching the chess match going on between like, should, should we let Jahmyr Gibbs score a touchdown? Should Jahmyr Gibbs try to score a touchdown? Should Jahmyr Gibbs get a first down? Should he go down at the 1-yard line to the point where he might have hurt himself? He might have like twisted his ankle.
Yeah, no, I saw that.
That was a weird, awkward way that he went down because he's just— he's— everything in his body's like, score a touchdown here.
Yeah.
Uh, but it was, it was a smart thing, I guess, to go down at the 1-yard line. Uh, but LaFleur was thinking the same thing, like, they're gonna score, let's just try to get the ball back immediately.
Yeah.
So they end up kicking a field goal, 1 second left, um, after the entire Lions, uh, their entire team just, uh, mocked the, uh, the Packers for jumping offsides. It does feel like there's a lot of bad blood between these teams, which I love.
Yeah, well, the Lions lost twice to the Packers last year, so like they were— they definitely were taking it personally. You could see it leading up to it and the bye week and everything. But yeah, I, I know, I, I, and I, I know people are gonna be like, that was crazy.
I do think that's crazy. I like Dan Campbell 90% of the time when he does this shit. He's consistent and I think he's a great coach. This is one that I think— me personally, I was like, this one doesn't make a lot of sense.
Yeah, this is one where I actually think he was like, It makes— it wouldn't have made a lot of sense if they were on the 40, which is crazy to say, but that's— I think that was his whole plan, that it's because you're on your own, the— in a weird way, because they're on their own 24, that's exactly why you should do it, because there's no way they can run out the clock. If you were at the 35 or the 40, then it's a, a more of a toss-up because it's like, yeah, then they can just get a couple first downs. And you'll never get the ball back. So I, I think he, I think he was smart. I really did.
It definitely worked out. Yeah. So he, he probably knows better than I do, but I feel like—
Just think about when, I mean, what are you rolling the dice a lot? But would they, but they got the ball back with 3:25 left and all 3 timeouts. So I mean, their defense played, got a stop obviously because, you know, they, and, and they missed the field goal, but even if they hit the field goal, I— if you're Dan Campbell, you, you'll take down 3, you'll take down 7 with the ball, like 2 and a half minutes and all your timeouts. I think you'd take that all day. I think you'd take that all day versus the Packers having the ball and being like, well, our defense is out on the field and we may never get the ball back.
So the Packers got the ball with 4 minutes 50 seconds left.
Yeah, impossible to run out the clock from there.
And then the Lions got it Pretty quick, 3 minutes 21 seconds.
Yeah, but it's impossible. Like, you just cannot physically run out the clock with, with that yardage. Uh, so yeah, Lions. I mean, I, I weirdly like both teams can walk away from this. Like, the Packers, Josh Jacobs being back obviously gave them a little boost, and they're gonna get Micah Parsons back. And you also just hope that you don't have as many penalties, uh, that were Ridiculous and egregious. And now you play the— you go short week Panthers, so you got to win that game.
They got to do something about Smack too.
Smack is bad.
Smack's an issue.
Smack's really bad.
Smack is whack.
Those— that first chip, because I know the second one got blocked. Yeah, but you shouldn't— also the kicker, it was close. But you can't— you can't get it— you can't get your kick blocked from that close, right?
Like, it wasn't like the guy was right in his face, right?
And also the trajectory at the line of scrimmage, the trajectory— like, I understand getting a blocked kick kick from 60 because you got to hit a line drive. Yeah, that should never get blocked, right?
Yeah, just hit it really high. Better yet, Rodrigo Blankenship, he needs a job. He's kicking. I see him on Instagram all the time. He's, he's drilling kicks. Getting back in the groove.
What's the line for the Packers-Panthers Thursday night? That's a Packers 4.5. Wow.
Huh.
Maybe that's But also Bryce Young as an underdog.
Yeah.
Like when Bryce Young's an underdog, he's kind of a favorite.
Yeah. I don't think it's going to be cold yet too, which there's got at some points like some of the cold weather teams got to be like, hey, we got to get some, some type of home field advantage, right?
Yeah.
That division stacked though.
What, the North?
Yeah.
Yeah. It's insane. Every team is good.
So Dan Campbell now 2/3 of the way through the first ever LaFleur sweep. Something to keep an eye on.
That's true. Something big time to keep an eye on. What do you say, Max?
I got nothing.
Oh, you look like you were pursing your lips. All right, we'll finish up. Rams 35, Raiders— Packers did get screwed though. Like, I, I, I, it pains me to say it, but there were some wild calls in that game. Like, the announcer— I mean, Brady was even saying, he was just like, what is this? And I don't know what But like some of the roughing the pass just looked absolutely insane. The pass interference on the interception, that was pass interference. That's the one they did get right.
For sure.
He grabbed his—
On Amon-Ra?
Yeah, he grabbed him by the shoulder pads.
100%.
That one I don't— I wouldn't say is the—
That was a good call.
The one you can complain about.
There was actually a worse pass interference in the Broncos-Cardinals game today.
I missed that one.
I don't know if you saw this one. It might have been— was it Riley Moss? It was, uh, it was maybe the worst call that I've ever seen. It was, it was that bad. Like it was actually a great play here. I've actually got it right here. If you look it up, Max, if you want to pull it up, it's from Zach Kelberman. Yeah, that's it right there. Look, this was pass interference.
That's crazy.
Isn't that insane?
Yeah.
I don't like the idea because we tried it before of making pass interference completely reviewable.
No, that was a disaster.
It would.
Yeah, because it's such a subjective call. You can call like any contact if you want. You can say that's pass interference. But I mean, there are— this just isn't football. That's just not a football call.
Yeah. All right. Rams 35, Raiders 21. We can go through this one quickly. The Raiders didn't start playing the game until halftime and the Rams, Credit to Rams. They finally— I think they're finally taking this season seriously.
They have no choice but to take— they have no margin for error anymore.
Yeah.
And yeah, I guess the only thing from this is, is it time for Mendoza? Because I'd agree they have the Jets this week.
Yep.
And I think before the season started— no disrespect, memes— before the season started—
memes, you're talking without the mic on.
No disrespect.
I'm trying to look angry, but I'm not.
I know you already said doesn't matter.
Yeah, I'm trying, but I'm, I'm looking angry.
But this is also a it doesn't matter move for the Raiders.
Yeah, no, they got to start Mendoza.
What do you got? Who's your backup?
Cade Klubnik.
Yeah, do that.
Nah.
Let's get—
okay.
You don't get it, Big Cat. Oh, Geno.
No, let— yeah, let Geno throw for like 4,000 yards. Be cool.
Um, yeah, credit to the Rams. They ran the ball well. I feel like McVay did like— maybe he did some soul searching. He's like, who are you? Oh yeah, you run the football. And that's what they did. Blake Corum, you have 2 really good running backs. Run the football. They had 100 yards in the first half. Run the football.
So recently McVay's offense, they've been doing the whole 3 tight end thing. Yeah. Which credit to them, they've won a lot of football games. They've had a very good offense. But at some point, I feel like just this season, it's kind of hit a wall where they don't have that explosive downfield threat anymore.
Right.
They don't— they're not getting like huge explosive plays like they used to.
Right.
And so, yeah, they can like play ball control and usually get one of the tight ends, scheme them open for something. But it's not the same offense that we've seen from the Rams.
But that's— but like, that's like if you boil down McVay, Shanahan, like that whole coaching, LaFleur, all that offense, it's running the football is the, is the thing that it's built on.
The most important thing.
Right.
But they, they at least used to be explosive in the passing game.
Yeah.
Which they, they're not really so much anymore.
But maybe that's what I'm saying. Like maybe he found himself was like, oh yeah, that is what you do. You run the football.
But this doesn't— just today as an example, they ran the football really, really well. Kyren Williams, 99 yards. Blake Corum, 93 yards rushing, 16 carries, 17 carries for the two of them. Their longest reception of the day was 15 yards.
Yeah.
Like that's, that does seem, it does stand out compared to what we normally think of.
Well, no Davante too. Yeah.
Davante is a big deal for sure.
Yeah.
But I don't know. I feel like I trust that McVay will be able to figure out how to make this offense more explosive. And if he doesn't have that guy on the roster, get a guy on the roster that can, that can stretch the field a little bit. But until they do that, I don't think that they're going to be dominant. like we expected them to be.
Yeah, they did dominate today. The Raiders, the Raiders are bad.
Yep.
I think the first 3 weeks are very fun. Also, I, I don't want to, I don't want to do it. We've already, we've already kind of won the war. I mean, Ashton Gentry, like that's, I saw, I saw a stat that was basically identical. Trent Richardson, Ashton Gentry. No, not good. Not good.
But in terms of what? Not yards, not weight?
No, not weight. Okay, good, good. It was like yards per carry, total yards, total touchdowns. Like, he did have a nice touchdown catch. Yes, that was nice. But, uh, yeah, I'm with you. He's had a few highlights. Start Fernando.
Start Fernando. I think it's about time.
Yep.
And, uh, yeah, just see. It'll be fun for everybody. Yeah. Hank, are you okay? We should note that, like, If anybody out there is like, Hank, quit being grumpy. Hank's also podcasting hurt today.
Yes, I'm good. I'm fine.
His kneecap. Everyone's banged up this time of year.
Yeah, exactly.
But hey, listen, grit.
Yes.
Just for the record, we do have to list you on the injury report.
What happened to your kneecap?
Nothing. I'm fine.
Why did— did PFT just make something up? I don't know.
I think he's just got nothing to talk about, so he's just trying to kick it to me. I have nothing like All right.
You are injured, Hank.
I saw my knee kind of hurts right now. I saw you stretch your knee out and you grimaced. So I wanted to— I wanted to give you credit and say your podcasting hurt.
Thank you. I'm good.
It's also never good when you ask— and this goes for all of us in this room— whenever we ask each other for health advice, because you did turn to PFT and you're like, what is this? It's like we're, we're, we're a bad group of health guys. Research chemicals as, as a group. We should never be asking each other for advice.
Yeah. You want me to give you health advice? Me?
We're out of shape. We're injured.
I've torn every muscle in my body in the last 12 months.
All right. Rowback question. Rowback.com, promo code TAKE, 20% off your first purchase. Q-zips, hoodies, joggers, shorts. Rowback.com. Cowboys-Eagles. Max, you will be in the building.
Yep.
What are your quick thoughts on this game on Monday Night Football?
I want to be excited.
Okay. Okay.
You could.
So what would make you excited?
I like that. I know exactly what you're saying.
I want to be excited.
You want to feel something?
Yeah, I want to feel something. I think the defense can make me feel something. The fact that DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are both not playing in this game is a problem.
Oh, that's ugly.
Yeah.
Is Saquon back?
Saquon is gonna play.
Maybe Jalen Carter, Dak get into it right off the bat.
It's also the Cowboys. You hate the Cowboys.
I know I hate the Cowboys. And if they win, the season's back on for the time being.
Facts. Path to victories. Defense, defense, defense. So much defense.
Saquon, like, we just, we just find a way to get Saquon the ball. Like, he catches, he has like 80 yards receiving.
This is something to be excited about. You know that you have to— you're underdogs in your own house and you have to muck this thing up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's exciting.
That's how you, that's how you can win this game.
You got to get dirty.
Real, like, like in the middle of like a swamp, right? Like you're fly fishing in a swamp.
That's so— when last year, remember, you would get mad at us because you're like, the Eagles games are brutal to watch. You're like, I don't care, they're winning. Because you knew deep down, it's like, this offense should be better. It's a brutal watch. Now, now it's like you don't even— you might not even try to have an offense. No, just defense. The uglier the better.
Make them play your game.
The uglier the better.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Which is kind of exciting. Like, no one's gonna say, oh, this Eagles offense is so bad. It's like, yeah, you know, like, there's— you got everyone on offense, you're starting a backup quarterback, everyone expects it to suck. Just get out there and suck even more and then play great defense.
Max, you know as well as anybody how much joy Dallas Cowboys primetime implosions give America.
Yeah, if Dak threw like 4 picks, that would be awesome.
Right?
Yeah.
How awesome are those games when, when things go sideways for the Cowboys and you're thinking to yourself, they're gonna blow the entire team up. Yeah, like Jerry's gonna come down on the sidelines and he's, he's physically going to stab Schottenheimer in the back like Monica Seles. Like, those are the games that America loves.
Jerry's gonna have a fucking Full-blown meltdown.
Yeah, like, I can't wait for Jerry's, uh, radio hit that he does this week. I, I want, I want it to be that kind of game. Yeah, I want Troy Aikman to get embarrassed in the booth of his name ever being associated with the Dallas Cowboys. Yeah, I want Joe Buck to be like dancing around Troy's career.
You're doing a good job right now.
Yeah, this is, this is what's on the line for us tonight.
Max, you need to win this game 13-10, and I want No more than 72 passing yards from Tanner Mahomes. That's how ugly I want it. You're gonna have to get a pick 6.
Yeah.
And then, and then 2 solid—
Saquon.
2 solid, like—
No, Saquon has to break one. It's gonna be like—
Yeah, but that's gonna end up in a field goal. Yeah, yeah, that'll be a field goal drive. Saquon's got to break one for an awesome long field goal drive. Saquon's going to break a 40-yarder and you're still going to have to kick like a 57-yard field goal. You got this.
I don't love that Sirianni potentially said that they might just shut DeVonta Smith down.
You guys are kind of just not even quiet quitting, just loudly quitting.
If you should— they're thinking about taking DeVonta Smith out for the year for a hamstring. He played last week on the hamstring and this week Nick Sirianni was like, yeah, I may just shut him down.
That's the thing about the Eagles. They do always to their credit.
What does that mean?
They know when to give up on the season.
Yeah, they do.
Even though this is a year when they could still win that division, the Eagles are always like, we don't want to win. This is a year, even though we could conceivably be NFC East champions, it's frankly beneath us to win this division. So let's just, let's cut our losses.
Hank, Eagles?
Nah.
Under.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's as good as Eagles.
His under is Eagles alternate under 22.
What about, what about Cole Payton? I've kind of talked myself into wanting to see what Cole Payton looks like.
Not, not Bazooka Joe.
I mean, I already know that I love Joe Milton. I might also love Cole Payton. I don't know.
Cole Payton, they say, from what they say, is just Taysom Hill.
Okay. Yeah, that's fun. That actually would work in a game like—
yeah, yeah.
So that's, that's a good point. Essentially the perfect player.
That's the problem with Tanner McKee right now is that he has zero mobility and this offensive line stinks.
Okay, so that's—
Cole Payton could move around a little bit.
Get him in there.
Just run through somebody's face. Yeah, that defense is soft, Max. The Cowboys defense is soft.
Let's muck it up. Let's get fucking muck gross.
I want to see Zach Bond getting into a fistfight with George Pickens.
I love Zach Bond.
This is good, Max.
I wanted to be so bad that actually up in the booth it It does come to blows between Joe and Troy.
Joe would fuck it up. Joe would fuck Troy up.
When I read that, that news, I was like, it almost came to blows. Joe Buck almost kicked Troy's ass. Damn.
Joe would mess him up bad. We all agree, right? Joe's a scrapper.
Yeah.

Didn't we have Oh, major sports. Got it.

Yeah.
Okay. Love that.
Yeah.
Get back on there.
Yeah.
What about a special sports hungry Equinox?
Maybe.
Should we talk about the World Series real quick?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, that's my other one was going to be just the state of Wisconsin.
Yeah. Well, the Packers lost.
True. I was going to say between that, the widespread panic shows.
Yeah.
Badgers, Badgers, and the Brewers. Great weekend for Wisconsin.
Lincoln Riley. See you. See you.
Can you find the Coward clip?
My favorite.
Oh, you're all in big trouble now that Lincoln Riley's here with the West Coast and L.A.
I love that Coward's show is strictly based on vibes. He's like, Southern California.
Southern California.
Young points.
Lincoln is young. Variety.
And it's California movies. That was just Trump.
Uh, uh, yeah, that Saturday night though. Yeah, I mean, here we go.
This is—
I love this video. I'm mad at myself for not tweeting it out after the Badgers just manhandled Here we go.
Some of you guys are gonna owe Lincoln Riley an apology. I don't know if these Big Ten teams can handle coming out west, the sunshine, the distractions of LA.
Probably not.
Look at the halftime score on Cosm.
Whatever.
I don't hold grudges.
Apologies accepted.
Probably not. They scored 7 points.
Yeah, Badgers were terrible.
Do you know what, Max? Badgers won. I think, uh, Colton Joseph had 52 yards passing.
Muck.
Yeah, yeah, muck bang.
But yeah, the, the Brewers, uh, the Brewers, the best team in baseball. They are It's crazy to watch them. They just never flinch. They went down 4-0 in game 2, and you're like, ah, whatever, they'll just score their runs late in the game like they always do. Sal Freilich, uh, absolute bomb. They force teams to make mistakes. They force teams to panic. We had the worst— that was one of the worst sends of all times. Max, do you, do you see that send of Liam Hicks?
That's preposterous.
Like, it was so short. Like, the ball wasn't even—
it was just like an average throw. He just like kind of routinely threw it home.
Liam Hicks is slow, but that's what the Brewers do. They're so good, they make you do— they make you press to a point that like you're gonna try to make mistakes. They— the Rays did it on, uh, Friday night as well. They had It was— I think it was Diaz was up, guy on second, one out or two outs. Ms. is still pitching. Ms. and Contreras as a pitcher-catcher combo have given up 3 stolen bases all year, and they try to steal third base with one of your best bats up. Their third out— it's literally what you're taught, and literally don't make the first or third out at third base. And that's what they do. They make you Like, they force you to get out of your comfort zone and, and press to a point that you make mistakes. That was so bad.
That was so dumb.
It's so dumb.
The only thing that can happen— let, let your best players go win you the game. Why are you gonna force a situation that doesn't even fucking help you? Diaz can bring him in. Yeah, from second. Why do you need him on third?
The only thing you're trying to do is be like, oh well, if there's a wild pitch. Okay, whatever. But it's like, yeah, it makes no sense.
Mizrafsky's on the mound. Like, Mizrafsky—
Yeah, no, Contreras has an absolute cannon. He throws everyone out. And so that's, that's been the story through like the first 2 games is that I don't even think the Brewers have played like perfect baseball. They haven't, you know, like Miz wasn't super, super sharp. And then, and then Logan Henderson wasn't super— he gave up, you know, 4 runs in the first. But it doesn't matter because they just keep on like Pushing you, pushing you, pushing you. They, they are never out of it. And they also have that rare, like, championship quality that I don't know if this statistically can be proven, but just from vibes, if you score on the Brewers, they always score that half inning. Like, they just always answer. It doesn't have to be that, like, the, the, the Rays come out and score 4 runs in the top of the first, Brewers score 2 runs right Like, they always answer, which is such a championship quality of a team where it's like you feel like you had a beginning and then they immediately suck it out, like suck the air out of your momentum.
What do you guys think of the Yandy Diaz check swing? Because they're going to— they're going to— A couple of things. A couple of things happened with it. One, I think to me they made the right call that he went and that he's out. Would you say, Hank?
Agreed.
Yeah.
Right. And so when you, when you see the side angle, when you see the above angle, It does look like, yes, that's a swing. Good call. Strike 3. See ya. And then they show what it would have looked like under the instant replay system that they've tested out in the minor leagues. And the replay system they have for check swings does not look like what I've ever thought a check swing is.
Agreed.
Agreed.
Like, what is the new line? When I saw that—
That's a full swing.
I thought somebody was fucking with me. Like, that's—
Yeah, that's not a— that's, that's a full swing.
Has the swing Was it ever like written in baseball that if it's parallel with home plate, then that's— that counts as a swing? Because that's what I had always, always thought.
Well, and also wrists. Like if you— if you break your wrist—
I always thought it was past the plate.
Yeah, parallel with the plate. That's what I thought the rule was. And apparently that's just not the rule anymore. If they ever bring this system to Major League Baseball, like everything's a check swing.
I get what— They changed it. If this is it, I get why they changed it. I'm just pissed that it seems like they're trying to make it feel like it's always been this way.
Yes.
When it hasn't been this way.
That's not even close.
Pitchers are better now, and you have to kind of start your swing no matter what. So I get why they're trying to, you know, help. The game is very much pitcher-friendly, pitcher-friendly. So they're trying to make things a little bit more hitter-friendly. But don't try and gaslight us into being like, this is always what it's been.
That's a, that's, that's a 3/4 of a swing.
Yes.
Yeah. That makes no sense.
Which, yeah, maybe they did tell us and we missed it. I don't know. Because I'm with you, Max. Like, if you explain, we've had to change the rule a little bit. Here's why. Yeah. Get ready for it because we're going to give a little bit more grace to, to a check swing. Sure. But I haven't heard that.
I kind of want—
I'm on your side.
I kind of don't. It'd be nice if— yeah, I don't know how they're going to do— are they going to do it like— I mean, it's going to happen next year. They're going to do ABS for check swings, 100%.
Mm-hmm.
I wonder if it will be like you have to check or if they just automatically check.
I also don't love Yandy Diaz's eye black situation.
He's got, you know, he just draws all over his face.
Weird.
Yeah.
It's like inverted eye black. It's like the only place that doesn't have eye black is the place where you usually would.
Yeah, I do think the Rays— I think it's still going to be a series. I think the Brewers are going to win the World Series, but I think that the Rays are going to win Game 3.
I think Brewers in 5.
Yeah, I mean, they've only lost one game, but I mean, Freddy Peralta is— that's a bonus to be able to pick. He's their second best pitcher. I think they held him back. Well, he pitched Game 6 of the ALCS. But I think they also kind of didn't want to play him in Milwaukee. They didn't want to pitch him in Milwaukee because of like just—
Trop's got to show up like they did.
Trop's got to show up. Trop's got to show up. Who are the Brewers pitching? Because that's the one thing— the Brewers, the Rays probably have better starting pitching. The Brewers bullpen is incredible.
Yeah.
And been incredible. And the Rays bullpen is Baker at the end, but soft in the middle.
They've been behind in 9 out of 10 games.
Yeah.
And they've won 8.
Yeah, they just always answer. It's, it's, it's— I, I listen, I'm happy I stopped fighting it like 2 weeks ago.
It—
they're just the— they're the best team in baseball. They're— they have— and they have that vibe to them. Like, Sal Freilich, he almost hit another one too, that, that one he hit to the warning track. But Sal Freilich, like, being— they just have guys that will show And, and all of them are kind of dogs. Max, you went viral on baseball Twitter.
Yeah.
Max is right, by the way.
Yeah, he is.
I didn't even say anything Monday or Friday night.
You didn't even have a take.
I had no take and people got so mad.
I hand up. I turned off the game because I thought the game was over because they hit the fireworks and I was watching a football game, I think. And then I look back like 10 minutes later, I pulled, I pulled open Twitter. I was like, wait, it was 3-2?
Yeah.
Crazy. I don't like that they have this type of replay because like you said, Max, everyone, basically the entire history of baseball, everyone has been safe. No one has been out.
You mean like the way that the game has been played? If you went back and reviewed it on replay?
Yes.
There's never been an out.
My only qualm with Max's take, which was if If you were to grab replays from any game between 2000 to 2000, uh, 2015, you would see middle infielders touch second base maybe 40% of the time on a double play. You were literally taught not to. Um, Max is only wrong because that's kind of like when he's been around baseball.
Correct.
It's a— that's why 100 years before that, I would say like 1910 to 2015, it would be in the neighborhood.
Yeah.
Do a ghost tag on second base because otherwise you're gonna get spiked in the knee.
Uh, I feel like the 1910s, they were probably like stretching at second. second base to try and get the out there and like didn't even know that you could turn 2.
Have you ever heard of Tinker's Devers Chance, Max?
Maybe. Yeah. Who turned the first double play?
The greatest double play.
No. Also, Max, you did— you should have also put like a— there should have been a community note being like, Max also rooted for Chase Utley. So that's, that's partially why. Yeah. Guys should be trying to get out of the way. Chase Utley shadow tags.
It's not even— I don't even think it's about that. It's about getting your momentum towards first base. Yeah.
Yeah, it was stupid.
I mean, it is about—
it is. It's not—
it's about like in the spirit of the game, he's out.
In the spirit of the game, he's out. He's like, I don't really care. I was just saying. I was just— I was just saying.
There's a couple of things that like we're not meant to see stuff in super high definition. We don't. Once you— once you can see things too well, there's a lot of ugly shit that you weren't supposed to look at. Like when you slide into second base and let's say you're stealing second, the throw comes in, there's going to be a millisecond Where after you hit second base, as your body's going into the bag, you come off the base for like half of a blink of an eye. And if the glove's still on you, I guess legally you're out, but you're not out.
I agree with that too.
Mm-hmm.
Whatever. It didn't cost the game.
Yeah.
This has just been us yelling about stuff that we can't control.
Yeah, correct.
Exactly.
But it feels good to do that.
It does.
Like, it's therapeutic. That's how guys— the guys don't go to therapy. They just yell about umpires and check swings.
Yeah, I'm, I'm heated about the check swing.
Yeah, that I didn't realize when you pulled that up. Like, that's crazy. Yeah, that's just, that's just a swing. Yeah, that's a full swing. Every—
yeah, you can check your swing and like on every swing. That's probably going to be— some team is going to probably— the Rays are gonna be like, hey, with these new changes to the check swing rule, we're just going to do check swings every at-bat, every plate appearance. We'll never actually swing. But we will get some hits that end up being fair balls.
I mean, with the way guys pitch now, you, you do have to start your swing on every pitch.
104.
Like, that's the other thing. It's like you're, you're supposed to go up there. Yes, yes, yes, yes, no. Yes, yes, yes, yes, no. Like, yeah, in your head you're thinking, you're thinking swing and you're starting your swing on every pitch and then you just hold back.
I got like 3 notifications within about 15 minutes. Like, Mizrafsky kept throwing the fastest pitch ever thrown in a World Series game.
Yeah, whatever. He's just the— he's the alien.
Yeah.
You sound wedgie. Whatever.
Yeah.
It's just like, that means— that means nothing. That— that it's not exciting that Mizorowski breaks another—
I disagree.
Like velocity, you know what's gonna happen.
I think it's pretty cool. I think it's 104.
Yeah, it's pretty awesome.
I get it. But it's not like it's Holy shit.
You know, it is expected. No, it's literally holy shit. That guy, you expect it.
It's not like—
I think it's cool. It's not cool. I'm not impressed in the first inning when he was— I know he hasn't been going deep into games, but like in the 5th inning on Friday night, I think he knew Pat Murphy was going to take him out and he had his last batter and he's like, I'm fucking just unloading. And that was kind of cool where he's like 70 pitches in. He's like, I'm going to throw it 100 140 miles an hour. I'm impressed by that. I'm excited.
Doing it all year. It's not like something you've never seen before.
Yeah, I'm excited for Game 3. How many balls are going to hit the roof?
Yeah. Can we bet on that? Which ring?
Roof balls.
A, B, or C? A ring or D?
The O-ring.
Shout out, shout out, Hank Challenger. All right, PFT year. Who's back? Good, good. Well, it's been— I mean, those were 2 very exciting— I'll say this, the Brewers have been dominating everyone, but they have been playing exciting games because they just go down and then they come back.
For sure. Yeah. My Who's Back of the Week is the NBA Cup. NBA Cup this Friday. I'm excited. Courts are gonna be different colored.
Yes.
That's about it.
Yeah.
What do you mean? It's group stage.
Yeah.
NBA Cup group stage starts Friday, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not the actual cup, though. It's just the—
it's the group stage of the cup. It's like the World Cup. You have to— you have to advance out of your group. Some people are in the group of death. Big Cat. Mm-hmm. Some people are in the group of life. Max. Easy stuff.
Fuck yeah.
I think— I mean, I think it's the Bulls and Celtics and the Wizards in the same group this year.
Yeah, we got the Bulls Friday.
Death. Yeah, group of death. So yeah, NBA Cup. If you win the NBA Cup, you get to the NBA Finals.
Mm-hmm.
That's how it works every year.
Mm-hmm.
Only one team's been able to win it.
Both memes. Are the Knicks okay?
And McHale's still drunk.
Okay, that's it.
Once he— once McHale is back, we'll be good. We lost to the Kings last year. Okay, it's a regular season.
How, how, how winless do you have to go before you start to feel a little panicked?
I think 10.
You think 0-10?
At that point, 0-10, it's like All right, we— something's going on.
But 0-9, you're good?
Yeah, 0-9, I'm chilling. Okay, Mikal's just— that, that was the formula last year. Mikal plays bad, you lose. Mikal plays good, you win.
Are Sixers 3-0, Max?
Nah, I lost today. No bigs there. All the bigs were hurt.
Okay, so you're 2-1?
2-1.
So pretty good record.
Yeah, played a lot of good teams.
Yeah. Okay, 2-1 at this point. That's basically all you can ask for.
No one's biting on you. Wanted to— you want to bring up the Wizards? No, no, no, definitely not.
Okay.
All right.
Definitely not.
What's the Wizards record?
I don't know. Maybe Maxine, check that for me. Maybe I was sitting so far away, I didn't get to see if they won or not.
Are we just going to do this every time?
No, I didn't bring it up.
You beat the Bulls and the Bucks.
Gil Wilson's good though.
Wow. Top 8 seed. Nice.
What's your record, PFT? You're 2-1.
It says we're 2-1.
Oh, there you go.
That's it. That's a great record.
All right. My Who's Back of the Week is LIV Golf.
Oh, God.
Hank.
Yeah, I don't— this is like way too much. Way too much me. I don't want to like— I haven't wanted to say anything on this show. I just want that for the record.
Yeah. The list of domains LIV owns has been released.
This is common business practice.
So here's a couple of them. These are domains that LIV Golf has purchased.
Well, this is all like all the bankruptcy filings got released. There was a bunch of stuff, a bunch of the payouts. Honestly, the payouts, it seems like they were not making what they said they were making.
Yeah, I'd agree with that.
Like they were all like $200 million, $100 million. It's like they got paid like like $5 million, $10 million. Like, I don't know where the rest of that money is. But there was a ton of documents and shit that came out from these bankruptcy filings, one of them being the domains.
So some of the domains they, they purchased were fucklivegolf, fucklivegolfleague.com, fucklivegolfleague.org. TerroristGolfLeague.org, TerroristGolf.com, TerroristGolfLeague.com. Some good stuff in here. FuckLiveGolfLeague.com. And then it's like written out, fuck, fuckLiveGolfInvitational.org, GolfCorruption.com, GolfFraud.com, I Hate Live Golf.com, GolfMoneyGrab.com.
golfgreed.com.
Fucklivegolfinvitational.com. Is there a live golf invitational?
I don't think so.
How—
golffrauds.com.
How do you think they came up with this list?
I don't know. It's very, very—
was this— do they pay a lawyer?
Fraudulentgolf.com.
Evil live golf.
Is this like they just locked themselves in a room and they just How could they get themselves in the mind of a troll?
What is Cleeks Golf Club?
Dude, that's one of the teams.
Come on, Max, you knew that.
Come on.
Are you fucking serious?
I mean, they're no Range Goats, but come on, man.
It's the British.
The British folk. Lee Westwood.
The Crushers.
Oh, all right.
But this is common business practice.
Yeah, common business practice.
It is.
Yeah.
No, no.
Do we own— fuck.
I guarantee Barstool has a ton.
We probably do.
We probably do. You're probably right about that. But it is still funny. Can you agree with that?
Yeah. Oh, the list is hilarious.
Yeah, that's, that's just good. Golf fraud.
Oh man.
All right.
Good show, boys. We got a lot of good college football to talk about on Wednesday. A lot of good college. There was— it's basically every week in the college football is just pick a league. That's, that's the week the league's going to like their demise. This week it was the Big 12.
Yeah, Big 12 was also a tough day, but there were like, there were companion games this week, which is great because it's like we got to watch the Indiana-Michigan game twice.
Yeah.
With the Iowa-Minnesota game. Yeah. And then we got to watch Tennessee-South Carolina twice because BYU-UCF was pretty much the same game.
I have also a take I'm going to unveil on Wednesday that's not going to be— I, I'm starting to come around on 24 and I don't like it. You're going to have to talk me off the ledge.
It's not good.
I know, but I'm starting to sell out, Cat.
I listen, win one game against USC and it's like, oh, no, no, no.
That's actually not why. That's not why at all. It was actually watching Ole Miss-Texas. And if Ole Miss loses another game, I want to see Trinidad Chambliss play in the playoffs. That was my thought. Like, he's awesome to watch. He's so much fun. Sometimes good players— like, that's— that was the game. Wisconsin is— I mean, we would get fucking murdered. We won a game with 52 passing yards.
Sometimes good players don't make the playoffs, and it's not all— not all wins and losses are on the quarterback.
Listen, I agree, but I just was like, I got to get it out of my head. I'll get it out of my head by Wednesday. But watching Trinidad Chambliss and watching Ole Miss lose and then being like, you know what? But I feel like Ole Miss could be ranked outside the top 12. But also remember what happened last year. They caught fire. They could beat anyone. Like, that is fun. I'll get it out of my head. What's this, Max?
What'd you pull up?
The daily challenge?
Well, no, we were just talking about domains.
Oh, yeah. Glenn's deep scout.
Yeah. No, I did also. I mean, Shane purchased fuckglentapewatch.com, fuckhestillrunning.com.
You should get used to and like the 2014 playoff because I think they're already talking about expanding it.
He's still running fraud.com.
Hank, I want to give you credit. You said before we were going to tape the show that you were going to be in a bad mood. You delivered. Thanks.
Million percent. Hank, not a liar.
Don't listen to him, Hank. 20?
Nope.
Yeah, memes.
You're always in a bad mood. You get it.
I'm gonna go with—
I like the— I like you just throwing out chubby at us, so you're not wrong. You guys get mad. I didn't get mad at chubby. Chubby's funny. You denied it.
No, I didn't.
Memes said that I'm not chubby. I said I'm chubby.
Not—
no.
Yeah, thank you.
Sauna and a full gym at home.
I'm fucking strong. All right, numbers.
18, 4, 23.
0.
He's still running.
69.
9.
Tramell Jones.
3.
I sound like a lot like Glenn.
99.
He's still running. Can you turn it up a little? He's still running. He's still running.
91.
One more.
Oh, you want one more?
He's still running.
I meant lottery ball.
Oh, my bad.
I thought you meant maybe one more of those though.
He's still running. I can't wait for Friday.
Oh yeah, Hank will be in a great mood.
I'm, I'm a gluntleman, guilty as charged. Usually he drops his tape on Friday.
But he already did his tape for last week.
No, I know, this Friday.
Oh my God.
Nothing. 71. You don't think Glenn's going to—
I think Glenn will probably have something.
Oh, he already did his rapid reaction.
That was last week.
That was last week.
That was last Friday.
Always does one on a Friday.
Yeah, right.
It's honestly like an amazing turnaround that he did that.
It was after the game. It was incredible.
Right.
Pretty incredible tape. But it's just like Glenn is a fucking—
Just one more.
One more lottery ball.
No, no, no, no, no.
Why not?
He's still running. Happy birthday, uh, to Michael Delente.
He's still running fast.
How do you know that?
Max, did you forget?
No, I didn't forget.
Happy birthday to Max's dad. Uh, happy birthday. Everyone say happy birthday. Hank, say happy birthday to Max's dad.
Happy birthday, Mr. D. How did you know that?
When's his birthday?
Uh, Monday.
It's Monday.
Today. Happy birthday to Antonio Pierce. Happy birthday to Efton Chisholm. Happy birthday to Pat Sajak. Keep turning those numbers, buddy. Happy birthday on Tuesday to Fasoli. Happy birthday to Brady Quinn. Happy birthday, Ryan Flournoy. Happy birthday, Lonzo Ball.
Ooh, happy birthday. Monday.
Yep. Tuesday. Happy birthday, Teddy Roosevelt. And happy birthday to Jack Lockwood, Hank's second cousin.
Love you guys.
Give us one more.
He's still running.
