He might be retiring from caring about sports.
Yeah. We had a great Chiefs-Raiders game. Some awesome games, including actually Sunday Night Football where the Panthers look really good. And we're going to do it all. Who's back of the week? Some baseball as well. What are you looking at me for, Hank? You're just looking at me. The Patriots won as well.
I wasn't—
oh, we got a point.
You have a point.
Nothing.

Martino.
AWM. Martin, Mike, Ted. Yeah, Martin, Mike, Ted.
Yeah, Barnum Might Take. Yeah, Barnum Might Take.
Yeah, Barnum Might Take. Welcome to Barnum Might Take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Monday, October 5th, week 4. PFT. Did we have a game in London to start?
You're bloody right we did. We go to London where Marcus Bloody Mariota was burning the Colts at the stake, leading the Redcoats on the attack against Les Bleus, but at a touching tribute to Big Ben.
The clock, he ended up in a walking boot. Oh, hey there, Marcus.
You wanna just slip your little tootsies in me?
Put those little Hawaiian feet inside me like the sandals on the beach.
So in came the Greek Freak, Athan Kaliakmanis, who hit the defense with the spinacopita move. Quentin Nelson had an obsession with his running back, shoving anyone to the ground who came near his Jonathan Taylor mate. Meanwhile, Tyler Warren Zevon was a werewolf in London. Aroooooo! Little old Jaden got mutilated late last week. The best play of the game came when the Kaliakmaniac Drop back and a whap and a whap and a Brandon, I'm a cold man. Da da da da da da da da. He was rumbling, bumbling, stumbling big man, but it wasn't enough to stave off Indy coach Carly Rae Jepsen-Urce. Hey, I just inherited you and this is crazy, but can I listen to Playco's maybe? Who is in writing the notebook so that when our Commanders fans lose our brains It will be there to remind us of how bad we were on this day. Colts 30, Commanders 13.
In Chicago, back stateside, where Ben Johnson had a case of the quarterback controversy as people wondered all week whether it would be Keenum or Bagent. And when the Bears lined up for their first snap Sunday, coach said, why not both? It was ultimately Mike Tyson Bagent who played the rest of the game, telling the Jets defense, I'll fuck you till you love me, and if you don't love me, I'll just hand the ball off to Kyle Now here's a Manungai for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns. As for the Jets, gee, no means no. Please don't throw that pass into the dirt. As they mustered 157 yards of offense on the day. Such a lackluster performance has head coach Aaron Glenn Quagmire's goodwill starting to peter out as the Jets may be at their lowest and he may be looking for a new gigity very soon. Bears 23, Jets 10. In soggy Philadelphia, Max is on the scene.
We head over to Philadelphia where the Eagles defense and Rams offense were in a hand fight early, but it was Matthew Staff Infection who was screaming MRSA while throwing 2 early interceptions. Jake Not So Smelliot was able to capitalize on the Rams turnover by kicking 2 early field goals.
Hold on a second, Boom. Speaking of Smelliot, something really stinks in this booth.
I'm really sorry, Keegs, but I gotta go to the bathroom.
Oh no, is it one— oh, is it one or two, Boom?
It's a twofer for Cooper!
As he gets into the end zone for the second time right before the half.
But that's it for the Eagles offense because they fucking suck. No more puns, they just fucking suck in the second half. And the Rams were able to do whatever the fuck they wanted in the fourth quarter to compete in the easiest comeback of all time. Fuck this, fuck all of this. Rams 24, Eagles 20.
Thanks, Max! In Buffalo, where Hank is on the scene.
We head up to North Gillette, AKA Highmark Stadium, where the undefeated Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills take on the New England Patriots, as everyone was sat in front of their TV ready to watch Drake and Josh. In the first quarter, Lil Romeo Doubs told Maxwell Harrison, you can't shine like me, ride like me, or pull dimes like me, as he came down in the end zone to get the score. scoring started for the Pats. James Dane Cook was sick of getting robbed of touchdowns by his brother Josh Allen, so he called his own number and took one to the crib for 6. In the 4th quarter, Keon—
I'm a cold man, doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo, I'm a cold man—
Scored what seemed to be the go-ahead touchdown for the Bills, but Drake Maye connected with Efton.
Oh my God, when Glenn watches this tape, he's gonna chisel him. To give the Patriots the lead and the win, 29-26. Thanks, Hank. In Texas, where the Stroud boys were standing back and standing by as CJ hoped to get his first win on the season, finding Nico Colin Kaepernick for 2 scores as he tried to bring America's team to their knees once and for all. But it was Dallas and their quarterback Dak Prescott's snap, reading the secondary perfectly and using his arms to find wide-open receivers. The game was back and forth late, and even though it was a non-emergency, the Cowboys dialed 311 to CeeDee. Lamber is the color of your energy, having us all say whoa as he caught his 17th pass of the day. 17 passes! 17! 17th pass of the day for the game-winning touchdown. Cowboys 34, Texans 30.
What? What?
We go over to Cincinnati where it's Fight or flight time for Burrow and Chase. Ja'Marr Ja'Marr Binks Chase left early. Misa had head turned around by Face-a-Masca. Why me Italian? Hey, I'm a Star Wars in here. Weather Lawrence was making it rain touchdowns and penalty flags as Bashar Tutankhamun played with Egypt on his shoulder and was hard to wrap up, leaving the Bengals begging for their mummy. As Burrow sarcophagus stopped a couple of interceptions. and took a few scarab-y looking hits. But Brian Thomas, Uncle Junior, had all the makings of a varsity athlete on the road, even if he goes down super easy when he's back in Florida. The marriage between the Jags coach and quarterback is a good one, so it's time to cut the cake. They're Liam Cohen the distance. They're Cohen for speed. They're Cohen to London, Cohen to London for the next 2 weeks.
And maybe, Just maybe they're going, going back, back to Cali, Cali for the Super Bowl this year after a big win like this.
Jags 22, Bengals 17.
Down to Tampa where the Bucs try to get their first win, Zach.
In Tampa, Jordan Courtney Love takes this Packers team to nirvana early on with a pass to Matthew Golden Girls. While thanking fans in attendance for being a friend, he travels to the end zone and back again. for a touchdown and 6 points.
After some time, Jordan Loves decides to pay at the pump and hand off his savings to Big Sean Tucker, who shouts from the backfield to the Bucs defensive line, I ain't fucking with you, you little stupid-ass bitch, I ain't fucking with you!
Charging into the end zone for an effortless score. In the second half, Jordan Love the Way You Lie decides to—
Stand there and watch me burn, but that's alright because you love the way it hurts.
Just gonna stand there and make me cry, but that's alright because I love the way you lie.
I love the way you lie.
As he passes to Tucker Minecraft, who keeps his focus on the football instead of rooftops, penthouses, and urban living with oceanfront views, resulting in another Packers touchdown.
Seeking possible redemption, Jalen Stormy Daniel double D's— I mean, doubles down on airing out the football to Kenneth Gain. Well, well, well, what do we have here?
And a touchdown. That's what it is. It's a sad touchdown. A very sad touchdown. Summer, very sad.
Packers 17, Tampa 14. Thanks, Zach. We go now to the Bay Area and memes.
We find ourselves in the land of the 12th man where it is a classic battle of bird versus nature. Justin!
Throw a pick.
Tonight he's gonna throw a pick. Take a sack. He keeps laying on his back. As Justin Bieber Herbert was seeing ghosts. But if it can't throw close to you, I'll settle for number 42, Drake Thomas, that is, on the other fucking team. Then we move to the second quarter where Justin Timberlake Herbert was look— was like looking in a mirror. A mirror staring back at the D. It couldn't get any clearer with 5 defenders inside of me. As he got clearly fucked from all angles. The only spotlight came from Michael Keaton Mitchell, who looked elusive with the ball in his hand chasing waterfalls.
I don't want— Shane may have wrote some of these. You got it, Meebs. Stay in the pocket. Stay in the pocket.
I don't want no scrubs, but all the scrubs are just playing on this fucking team. Don't run to the outside because all the tackles died and they're getting me. And they're getting fucked by Amari.
Seahawks 30, Chargers 23. Thanks, memes! Uh, in Las Vegas, where we had the Battle of the Undefeated as the Chiefs took on the Raiders. It was a battle of the stars as running back Kenneth Shocker was able to find any hole he wanted, going for 177 and 2 scores. And Brock Bow-Bow Bauer Wheels caught 6 balls for 86 yards. Taekwon Jerry Thornton fucked the Raiders secondary like they were his student. He was a hot teacher.
Inappropriate.
And Kirk Cousins was relaxed in the pocket as the teams traded scores. Flint Kubiak led into the 4th but had us asking, what are you doing? After he took points off the board in a game that ended in a 3-point loss. The Chiefs continue to dominate the AFC West, taking down the Raiders.
30-27.
Standing on the corner, Jameis Winston in Hoboken, such a fine sight to see.
It's Marvin Harrison, his dad's got a gun, so we won't do any slandering.
Come on, neighbors, Cardinals are gamers. 3 touchdown throws for Jameis. Suck it, haters. The G-Men, 36. The Cards, 24. And that is your fastest 2 minutes for week 4 in the NFL. Football season is here. And whether you're grinding through the week or gearing up for kickoff, there's one ride that's always game ready. It's the Chevy Silverado. Check out current offers on the 2026 Silverado at chevy.com. Go today, chevy.com. Okay, week 4 in the books. We still got one quarter left of Sunday Night Football, which we'll talk about at the end. Bryce Young looking great. Week 4, boys. It was quite a week. Those days when we start in London and end late at night feels like we've been watching football for many, many hours. Also feels like this was the week of just way too many flags.
Yeah.
Too many injuries.
Yeah.
A lot of injuries. A lot of like particularly gruesome injuries.
Yep. And we are now sitting here with What do we have? 3 teams left that are undefeated. The Vikings, the Vikings, the 49ers, and the Chiefs. The Vikings, by the way, do you know that this is the 11th time they started undefeated in the Super Bowl era?
I did not know that.
Through 4 weeks?
No, I did not.
11 times. The Chiefs started— have started 4-0 9 times. The 49ers 7 times. If I had asked you that question, you would have been like, definitely the 49ers. Yeah.
Nope.
I was watching a video. I forget who put it together, but it was basically saying that the teams that are perfect through 4 weeks It has like almost no statistical bearing on whether or not they're going to end up as like a top 5 or top 10 team at the end of the year. Once you get halfway through—
Yeah, the EPA video that—
yeah.
Yeah, the teams that are like usually towards the top, those are the ones that will usually stay towards the top.
Yep.
But it's not like— I mean, there are some very good 4-0 teams right now.
Yeah. We also now have 3 quarterbacks with an active win streak, the longest active win streak of 4 games in a row. Patrick Mahomes because they're 4-0. Brock Purdy because they're 4-0. JJ McCarthy actually has 4 wins in a row last time he played.
How about that?
Yeah.
So good for him.
18. Sorry.
18.
18. Should we get into the games though? Let's get a lot of games. Let's get into— we start in London. Colts 30, Commanders 13. PFT. There was a moment.
Yeah.
In this game. I don't know if we're going to talk about the same moment. There was a moment though in this game where I was like, I think I think maybe finally Roger Goodell will stop this experiment. It was when Daniel Jones, uh, well, he fumbled in the first possession. I, I didn't even get my TV on and I was like, oh, the Commanders must have run back a kickoff. And then I looked back and I was like, oh nope, Daniel Jones dump fumble. But the interception he threw, I think my exact tweet was like, he's just a doo-doo quarterback. And I was like, I think maybe like that was the vibe of the game.
Yeah.
Uh, and Mariota gets hurt. It was just like, We got to stop this. No more games in London.
So I actually thought the offense looked really good with Mariota running.
Yeah.
So I was excited. I was like, okay, yeah, this looks like a serviceable offense to me. Mariota looked like he was fast, like way faster than I had seen him run in years. And then, yeah, he got kind of rolled up on. I hear it might be the MCL. And then we don't really have a quarterback that has experience beyond him. So we put in Ethan Kalikmianis.
Yeah. And Greek freak.
The Greek freak.
Who looks like you.
Ethan for you. I saw that.
I'd been—
when we drafted him, I saw some pictures and I was like, I kind of see it, what people are saying. Then I just got bombarded with pictures. And it's very mean to Ethan to be comparing him to how I look. But yeah, when I was— when I had short hair and no facial hair, he looks a lot like I did.
Usually when you had short hair.
Yeah.
What's up?
When you had short hair.
Well, you—
yeah. Well, you need to do PFTs. You need to be like, a lot of people have been saying I look like one of the white backup quarterbacks on, on the Commanders.
Yeah. Sam Hartman.
Dude, Sam Hartman like popped into the screen in the 1 minute and I was just like, get out of here, dude. It's too much.
From now on, when somebody says the hot white quarterback on the Commanders, I'm thinking Athan all the way.
For sure.
And you know what? He was fun too.
He was.
I said in the preseason, he's got a little Kirk Cousins in him, but he's actually less risk-averse than Kirk ever was. So he came in and since he had never gotten any reps at all with our ones or twos really, He just started bombing it.
Yeah.
He just thought to himself, well, I've got Stefon Diggs and I've got Antonio Williams and I've got Treylon Burks who's taller than everybody. So I'm just going to throw the ball as far as I can, as high as I can. And it kind of worked for a little bit. Yeah.
He like, he came in, he threw a pick and then he threw a 47-yard bomb. You're like, this is going to be fun.
Yeah. He's, and he is, I would say he is a fun, as far as rookie 7th round quarterbacks go, he's probably the best of all time. I can't think of any other 7th round quarterbacks that worked out. But he, I don't think he's going to be the quarterback next week. I feel like Jayden's coming back.
Didn't Jay Glazer say that?
Yeah. Jay Glazer said he's going to try to come back. And yeah, listen, this game was going to be over no matter what after Marcus went out. The offense looked completely different. I wish the spin move, the spinacopita, was the best spin move that I've ever seen in my entire life.
Yeah.
A lot of guys wait until the defender's about to tackle you.
He got dizzy.
Yeah.
Like that was— he spun so hard he got dizzy.
Yeah. A lot of guys wait till the defender's like close to you. But if you spin earlier, you might make them dizzy. Yeah. Which is what he was going for. Yeah. And I— here's the next wrinkle that's coming on this. He might hit him with the fake spin move. Oh, take 2 more steps and then the real spin move.
I think he might do a double spin.
He—
because he started so early, he could have double spinned.
The spin move worked.
Yeah, it did.
Like, the defender could have got—
he just—
he just— he could have gotten him earlier than what he did, but he was like, what the hell did that guy just do? And he's like, oh wait, no, I got to tackle.
Yeah, he just hit the button too quick. That's all it was. Yeah, he just mashed the button a little too fast.
A little too fast. We've all done that before. Uh, yeah, the game was going to be over no matter what once Marcus went down. But I very, I very rarely complain about the refs. You know me. Yeah, I'm not an excuse guy.
Okay.
Um, the refs fucking sucked today. Yeah, they were really, really bad.
We have 2 incidents the NFL's actually investigating.
Yeah, these refs, like, I'm almost to the point where as a, uh, Second Amendment guy, we need to arm ourselves. Like, the players should arm themselves against overreach because you had 2 refs like getting up in players' faces. And then you had this egregious display in the London game where, uh, they called a phantom offensive pass interference on Stefon Diggs. They called an illegal shift and a hold on Antonio Williams' like 80-yard touchdown catch that he had.
Mm-hmm.
But they waited to throw the flag On the illegal shift until like 3 seconds into the play when he had the ball and was running. I still don't know who they called it on. And then there was no, there was no hold on that play either. And then on the Stefon Diggs catch that I talked about, they waited until like after he caught the ball, took 6 steps, got tackled, and then they threw a flag out. I, I don't know what was going on.
But what happened to him last year?
It sucks.
I remember that.
Yeah.
Yeah. It's bullshit.
Yeah.
And then, and then they had, uh, there was a pass interference against Treylon Burks on what would have been like a 60-yard completion from the, the Greek cannon. And, uh, they threw a flag, accurately called pass interference, and then they got together and said there's no foul on the play. Yeah. So Dan Quinn, you gotta— I want to hear Dan Quinn talking like I'm talking right now and take a fine for the boys because that was dirty. It was disgusting.
Get kicked out of the game.
Get kicked out of the game. Do something like that. We would have lost anyways, probably, but I'm still going to take this time to complain about the officiating.
Okay. So how are you feeling overall being 1-3? That London game sucks, man.
It sucks. But also it's, it's not as bad when you lose in that game because you forget about it. Yeah. Most people don't watch it. So like by the second half of the earlier slated games today, I kind of forgot.
It's like losing in like the noon window of the first, the first Thursday of March Madness.
Yes.
And by, by like Friday, everyone's like, wait, you were in the tournament?
Yeah.
I don't even remember.
Yeah. So I, I kind of moved on from it. And I think what really hurts is that I— the reason I moved on from it so quickly is because I think I'm, I'm just about in danger of moving on from the season. You got to hold on for a little bit. I got to, I got to hold on because—
Jayden's coming back next week.
Yeah, we got the G-Men. They're leading the division. Jayden's back next week.
Oh, you have to do that to your boy James?
Got to do it to James. I hope it's— I hope against 9.2.0.
No, dude, Jameis keeping his job. Hold Jameis back.
I say something nice about the Commanders this week. I thought that our defense played well enough to win that football game. Our defense looked really good in the first half. And then we just, we kept giving them really, really short fields and there was nothing that we could do. But I think the defense is coming together really nicely. And that's a good surprise considering how dogshit we've been on that side of the ball for the last, it feels like, 5 or 6 years. But yeah, that defense, I, I think that Durante Jones is, is doing a great job. So, you know, I'm— that's why I'm not giving up on the season just yet with James or Jayden coming back, um, and the defense getting better. So we'll see, we'll see what happens.
Uh, all right, as for the Colts, they've kind of righted the ship a little bit. They started 0-2, now they're 2-2. Uh, I still don't know, I don't really trust Daniel Jones at all. He just Feels like he just turns the ball over so, so much. Shane Steichen even was like asked about it. I think he had 7 total turnovers in 4 games. He said, I think he's done some really good things and then some things we need to clean up. That's putting it nicely. Jonathan Taylor remains one of the best backs in the league and he just has to be their workhorse, which he was again. He now has the most rushing yards in international game history. So that's kind of cool. Yeah, he's slime for that or something.
Him and Sauce Gardner. Overseas merchants.
Well, yeah, Sauce Gardner had a tough day. Yeah, he was getting cooked. Jonathan Taylor also smart enough to drink the tea, not the beer.
You put the pinky up.
Yeah, he put the pinky up. By the way, memes, the Sauce Gardner trade, like maybe trade of the year or trade of the decade.
One of the greatest trades all time.
Yeah, he is. He does not look like the same guy. And it's pretty apparent he got cooked a couple of times. But yeah, I think the Colts— I'm not ready to say the Colts are good, but at least they've gotten back to .500. And I don't really understand what Mrs. Irsay, all due respect, is doing on the sideline because she's now like going up and asking questions.
Yeah. Yeah.
It's getting a little— it feels a little, little much.
It was pretty in your face today.
Yeah. I think you say, Hank, it's between her and Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones is not asking questions on the sideline. No, no, he's usually in a suite.
Arthur Blank.
Arthur Blank comes down at the end of the game. I agree. Uh, why are you calling me a misogynist?
No.
Okay.
The thing is, she's calling everyone misogynist.
She's always done this though. Like, this is her—
no, him.
This is her thing that she does and she does it.
Toxic masculinity.
She's asking questions to like learn about the process.
Yeah. Which I'm fine with.
She's been doing this for like 10 years.
You know, she— but it was weird because I think maybe it's just they're showing her more. That's really all it comes down to. So she's been doing the same thing. Yeah. But now that they're showing her more, when she— I think there was a moment where she did ask someone a question in the middle of the game. It's like, I don't— I have no idea how the sideline works.
Well, I, I think we talked about this on maybe even last Monday's show, but it does seem that she's getting closer to the—
right. That's what I'm saying. Like physically inching closer to the coaches.
Yeah. And I think that question might have been from pregame.
Okay.
I don't think that was— I don't think that was part of the game.
Yeah, they fooled us. All right. So you know what, Ms. Irsay, do what you got to do. Yeah, girl, go on with your bad self. But she is getting closer, which actually, listen, if the team— I think that, that how she should operate, and I'm not trying to tell her how to do her job, but as she— as it is, the team's doing poorly, she should basically get closer and closer till she's standing right behind Shane Steichen.
Yeah.
And then if they're winning, maybe back off. That's really what it should be. She should be Shane Steichen's holdback guy when, when they're on a losing streak.
Yeah, it's, it's always fun when the owner is in the shot as the same as the head coach if they're losing the game. Yeah, that's always good. Um, Athan is the only quarterback this year who has attempted 6 or more passes 30-plus yards downfield in a game.
Whoa.
So good for him. If he does come back in, at least we have a fun backup quarterback.
Yeah, very fun. Very fun.
Yeah.
Okay. Should we go stateside?
Yeah.
Hank, did you have anything in this game? You were asking me some questions earlier, so I didn't know if you had anything.
Do you have some questions, Hank?
No, I was just saying it was probably exciting for you to watch, you know, your QB of the future. Like, obviously he's a rookie, but it's like, it's exciting. It's something to get excited about.
Yeah. I think he, I think he is a backup QB of the future.
Are you trying to push Jayden out?
Sure.
I think Jayden, Whatever's going on in his elbow is just pushing itself out every time he plays.
You're saying there's, there's just, there's something about Aethan that you trust? No, he just, he sounds a little bit racist.
No, no, no.
He's just, he can, he's on the field. He's on the field.
It sounds racist.
He's, he's on the field. Jayden can't stay on the field at like, so your quarterback of the future is going to need to be, you know, on the field playing.
That's one thing I'm going to pass that along to Adam Peters. For the next time he scouts a QB, should be on the field.
Well, yeah, the pictures— they were— those pictures were out there.
Which ones?
Of his elbow.
Oh, before the draft? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That was the other elbow though.
But still, you know, symmetry, body symmetry.
Yeah, yeah, body symmetry. That's why everyone's attracted to Denzel Washington.
He's gonna be back. He's gonna be back and he's never gonna get hurt again next week. And you'll see, Hank. Yeah, you'll see.
You'll see.
Max.
Yeah.
Did you know Denzel Washington's face is perfectly symmetrical? That's why he's so good looking.
Didn't know that.
Yeah. All of us mere mortals have just like, you know, one eye smaller than the other.
Yeah.
It's like when you turn your phone on selfie mode, you're like, whoa.
Yeah. You're like, why does this look gross? Denzel turns around, he's like, damn, I am perfect.
Ethan has a perfectly symmetrical face too. I think number one in the league. Nice.
Yeah, that's exciting.
Very exciting.
Yeah.
Really good looking quarterback.
Really good looking quarterback. should probably grow his hair out.
Nah, he looked trashy.
Uh, okay, Hank.
Yeah.
Patriots 29, Bills 26. You got a little— you got a little pep in your step.
I mean, what a game.
It's not doom and gloom.
No.
It's a great game. Great game. Drake Maye, he might be back because he's like— that was a hell of a drive that he takes him down the field for the winning score. Efton Chisholm, what a catch.
Yeah, I mean, Mack Hollins got hurt. AJ Brown's already heard it. It was like we were joking, like Afton Chisholm wide receiver 1. And sure enough, he's wide receiver 1. One-handed catch. Drake May scrambling, 3rd down, 3rd and 6, I think it was.
Scrambling. 3rd and 7.
Or no, it was— we can get the— well, 3rd and 5. PFT was in the cave being like, if you look at the yardage, it's actually 3rd and 6.
It was listed.
And then as he rolled out, threw it, threw a touchdown. Afton Chisholm, one-handed catch, snagged it down.
PFT was like, that was 3rd and 5.
That was 3rd and 5.
I don't think it's that one. I think, I think Tate said that. Uh, but yeah, no, there was one great play he made on 3rd and 5, one great play that he made on 3rd and 7 today. So, um, yeah, I mean, listen, Drake Maye played really, really good today. I'll even say that the interception that he had, not his fault.
No, not at all.
Not his fault. I would love to see—
Oh, the one where the guy fell on the ball and it popped up? Yeah, yeah.
It wasn't a great throw, but it—
oh yeah, it shouldn't have been an interception.
We gotta—
if it was a better throw—
Tape discipline. We gotta practice tape discipline.
Yeah, so I can't comment on it until I've Studied people who study the tape because I don't watch it myself. But typically you want your receiver to catch it in stride so that they can— what?
He's still running.
Keep running.
Yeah.
So if you dive, then that's the only way that the ball would be able to get flipped out like that.
Yeah.
No, not a great throw.
And then still not— I will not put the fumble—
there was a clear missed hands to the face on the offensive lineman. That's like what caused the fumble. So—
Oh, we're going to complain about officiating now?
No, I'm just, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm looking past that. It is what it is.
I would never.
It felt like, you know, we were getting bad turnover luck again. He came out slow in the second half too. There was a couple like 3-and-out drives where it was like, we got to get something going. Was getting nothing going. But he came back in the fourth quarter, scrambled well, hit guys when he needed to hit them, converted on fourth downs. It was, it was awesome. Romeo Doubs scored twice. It was, it was a It was a great game and we just own the Bills. We own, we own Highmark Stadium and that's our stadium.
That's your stadium.
Yeah.
We have as many wins there as the Bills do.
That is true.
And infinity less losses.
That's also not true. First, the first stat was not true. They're, they're 2-1 there. You're 1-0. They've won 2 games there.
Got it. Almost as many wins.
Almost as many wins.
But you have infinity less losses.
Yeah.
That part is true. Infinity less losses is factual.
Which is pretty impressive. I listen, for the Bills side of it, the Bills defense is in trouble. They do not look good. And then, I mean, Josh threw a meatball sub at the end of the game. He shouldn't have thrown that ball.
That was a hero ball.
You don't— you're just trying to get 3 points. You're trying to go to overtime.
Second down.
It didn't make sense. There was 2 guys covering him. That one made no sense. And it just felt like, yeah, he was trying— he was trying to be the hero in that moment when all he needed to do was, you know, get 25 yards to tie the game with more than enough time left, a minute left. All 3 timeouts, just a completely— that felt like a throw with 10 seconds left in the game. And it's like they just needed to get down the field a little bit more, like just even get down the field and take a shot to the end zone. But that throw made no sense and was the end of the game.
Yeah, it seemed like that was a panic throw on his part. There was also maybe the best throwaway I've ever seen from Josh.
Yeah, behind the back. Oh yeah.
The behind the back. I think there were enough people around that they They didn't call it.
I think it was—
I don't know how that didn't get picked off.
It happened. It was so like— it was such a crazy, impressive throwaway that the refs didn't even like realize what was happening and didn't realize it was intentional grounding. I didn't realize intentional grounding. If you go back and look at it, it definitely was.
But it was also Keon Coleman's like breakout game because DJ Moore got hurt again. Keon Coleman had like 100— what do you have, 116 yards? And he looked really good. But yeah, I would say it's like the Bills are kind of in the same spot they're always in where it's like the defense is just not— it doesn't feel like the defense is great. And then if Josh doesn't play perfect, they're going to be in trouble. But it was all— it was also like a very tough, hard-fought win for the Patriots to come back in this game and win that game. And Drake Maye kind of silenced the haters for a minute. Like the Glenn Tape watches of the world.
Yeah, just everyone.
But yeah, it was, it was, it was good to get back. It was a must-compete. Not only did we compete, we won. Division win. Season's back on.
Yeah, it was a— this was a classic Vrabel spot.
Did you see Vrabel after in the postgame in the locker room? He said, we're going to fight until they cut our fucking hands off. OK, I promise you, until they fucking chop them off, we're going to fucking fight and we're going to fucking swing. Is he Is he like a pickpocketer in Thailand? Who's going to cut off his hands? Why is his hands getting cut off?
He's just— that's the fight game.
That's just the fight game. Your hands eventually could get cut off.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, Chisholm only needs one.
It's true. Yeah.
CJ Gardner-Johnson too, which is all-time. Oh yeah. All-time quote. All-time cope.
That is just who he is.
He's never lost.
He's never lost. He said afterwards about Chisholm, an elevated guy made a hell of a catch. Probably won't hear from him again. Respectfully. A practice squad player made a hell of a play. They ain't do shit better than us. Well, they did win the game.
And Chisholm is not a practice squad guy.
No, but that is also CJ Gardner-Johnson. I feel like he has to say something crazy to get himself motivated. He's kind of wired that way.
I loved it. Couldn't get enough.
You're so happy.
Yeah, it was a great win. It was, it was a great win. The start of the second half, it felt like, here we go again. Like there were, they, it was like 2, 3 and out. Maybe they got one, you know, First down conversion and then, and then punting it. It was just like, we got nothing going. Injuries piling up. Matt Collins went out. No one to throw to. Didn't matter. Just an amazing throw and catch on that, on that play at the end of the game.
Did we find out what happened to Matt Collins?
It was non-contact. I don't know what, what came after the game, but it didn't look good. Like it was, it was non-contact injury and he had to like hop off on one foot.
We— this also is like Josh Allen in the last 2 games.
And AJ Brown, once he comes back.
Yeah.
Buzzing.
Josh Allen last 2 games has not been great. He says, uh, 1 pass touchdown, 3 interceptions, uh, so 4 turnovers total. And it does feel like that's, uh, you know, not like not good enough. Not that— it's just that they have to, they have to play kind of not perfect ball on offense, but they can't be giving the ball away. You can't be making those mistakes because their defense can't isn't good enough to stop when that happens.
Hank, did you notice anything different about the Patriots offense this week?
No.
They ran motion so much.
So much.
So like last week, I believe up until last week, they were in the bottom like 3 or 4 teams in terms of motion rate before the snap. And then this week they said, no, we're going to fix all that. And they had the highest motion rate that they've had in, I believe, 3 or 4 years. So like McDaniels just went dummy with the motion.
He did something different.
Love that.
Made some fixes. Do you feel bad at all knowing how much the people of Buffalo love us and we love the people of Buffalo that you just keep doing this to them?
No.
Okay.
0%.
Okay.
I love it, as a matter of fact.
Okay.
You actually revel in it?
Yes.
You enjoy it so much?
Yes.
Okay. That's mean.
It is what it is.
Yeah, it is. It's business.
They loved it when Josh Allen had that perfect game against Mac Jones. Remember that in the playoffs? Yeah. Yeah, they had a perfect game.
Would you say they're like the chief rival now? Or do you not have a rival? Is it still like Mahomes?
Seahawks.
It's the Seahawks revenge. The Seahawks are your number one rival.
Mahomes too. Mahomes, because Mahomes is like, although the Brady stuff now is kind of weird.
Wait, what?
It's just like things have gotten weird in like the—
I think your number one rival might be Tom Brady.
No, no, it's not. But it's like, I know I love Tom Brady. I'd die for Tom Brady. But I don't— I'm now just— I'm focused on Drick Maye and Drick Maye's legacy. For a while there, it was like I really didn't want Mahomes to win because I didn't want him to, you know, climb up Brady's GOAT status. But now it's like, I just want Drake Maye to get there.
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
But yeah, it's probably Mahomes, Josh Allen.
It's good. Good win.
Anything else in the game?
Drake Maye back? Back all the way.
Fully back.
Yeah.
Wintober. Wintober's on.
Wintober.
What about Leftober?
Locktober as well. Wintober, Locktober.
Okay.
Leftover maybe.
Okay. That's how it's all the way back.
Or was it Leftember?
It's October.
Okay.
All the way back. No problems.
No problems.
So you have next week.
Are you worried about Glenn tape watch?
Raiders never have been, never will be. It's a, it's a, I don't know why I pointed. I'm already, I'm already, it's already an overplayed bit. It's going to be like 9 minutes somehow next week. Guy doesn't know how to cut anything down.
I actually saw it. It's been 3:57. On the dot the last 2 weeks.
Wow.
Yeah.
So 9 minutes was just—
I just feel bad for Quigs.
But why?
Why is that?
Have to do all whatever, whatever Glenn can't do himself, which is everything.
I don't—
I—
it sounds like you would put Glenn up there and your chief rivals. And I don't know that. I don't know that he'd say the same about you.
He's not. It's like nothing he says. He's not. He's like, it's a—
he doesn't even know who you are.
I'm worried about football. This is like a parody. Like, it's, it's a, it's a brand of comedy that I like. I understand some people like it. I personally don't.
Okay.
All right. Like, it's like, but that's— I'm not, I'm not, I'm not knocking other people for enjoying it. It's like everyone to each their own.
I happen to enjoy it.
Yeah. Enjoy what you like. Like, I don't— like, I'm not going to go out of my way to watch it, but like, some people will, and that's good for them.
Yeah. Some people—
it's not a rivalry thing.
Some people like comedies like The Hangover. And some people like comedies like The Hangover 3, and that's okay.
Glenn is your— Glenn is like Big Bang Theory to you. You're like, there's a lot of people who like it and watch it, but I don't understand it.
Exactly.
Okay.
That's right.
Yeah.
I don't think Glenn gets you either.
I've actually never watched an episode of Big Bang Theory.
Neither have I. Or How I Met Your Mother.
Super popular.
Yeah.
Yeah. I never watched How I Met Your Mother either.
Max watched it in the bath.
How I Met Your Mother was my favorite show.
It's your favorite show?
I watch it every single night before I go to bed.
Mine too. What?
Both of you? Your favorite show?
Not every— not in the bath, but some bath— bath isn't—
sometimes in the bath.
How I Met Your Mother is a— I put on before I go to sleep every single night.
Favorite show?
What's your favorite episode?
It's like my most watched show. Favorite show may not be the right word, but it's my most watched show.
So it's like your go-to for when you're trying to turn your brain off.
It's like your pinky.
Yeah.
Yeah. It's like, you know what's going to happen. They're going to eventually tell us how they met. The Mother Eyes.
Isn't the ending— isn't that— and doesn't that— isn't how they met like suck?
Yeah, that blows.
Oh, no. You can still watch it.
Yeah, it's fine.
Sounds like Max. Did you cry?
No, I didn't cry. I knew. I knew that. That's what the ending was going to be.
Was it just in a bar?
No, no, it was just the real show wasn't about— spoiler alert—
about the moms.
Spoilers, spoilers.
It was about— it wasn't about—
The mom fucking dies.
The mom dies. And it's about getting together with another girl and asking the kids for their permission, kind of.
The entire show builds up to this one moment where he meets—
How do we get here?
I want to hear this. I want to hear this.
Clearly both passionate about this show, which I love.
Where he finally meets the mom. Yeah.
Okay.
And she gets cancer and dies.
Okay.
And then, and then you ask, and then they ask the, they ask the kids, can I, can I get together with my, with my friend that you consider your aunt?
That he met in episode 1.
Episode 1.
And he goes on and on.
It shows the romance between him and this friend.
Okay.
And then they finally tell you how he met the mother, but then they're done with the mother and go back to the friend.
So the How I Met Your Mother, the mother's never in it.
No, mother's in it for like half a season, but she's dead and bits and pieces. She—
does she die in the first season?
No, no, she dies last episode.
The last episode.
But it's all— it's all—
is it a—
it's— how do I explain? Wait, wait, wait.
Was the mother that ended up dying—
how I met your mother—
is she friends with Bob Saget?
Yeah, Bob Saget's dad.
He's telling his children the story of how he met their mother. So it's his entire 20s and 30s. Up until he met the mother. But then they get to when he finally tells his kids how, how they met the mother. So it gets to present time and then they're like, oh, your mom's like, by the way, no, the mom was always dead. So it's always telling the kids about how he met their mother that died. But, you know, then when they get to the point where he met the mother, he asked the kids, can I marry— can I marry this other woman?
Yeah. He sits them down. He's like, oh, it's a long story.
Oh.
And they're like, haha, it plays.
And it's really just a story of him and this other woman.
Did the mom, like the original mom, did she she know the woman that would eventually raise her kids?
Oh, yeah. So at the end, they like got—
so this guy, you could argue his wife died and then he's like, I'm going to marry her best friend.
Yeah. No, no, no, no. Well, they were friends.
This is what Hunter Biden did.
Yeah.
I don't know anything about Hunter. I don't know anything about that.
Wait. So at the end of the show, it's just him being like, and that's how I met your mother. Can I now fuck your aunt?
Yes.
Yes.
OK.
Literally, like, I'm pretty sure he says— he says like those exact words.
OK. All right.
And we're supposed to be like, this is such a sweet show about the mom.
No, it's supposed to be like, oh, they finally—
like, we finally got it.
Like, yeah, we finally got the aunt, the aunt.
And— But how did he meet the mother?
At the aunt's wedding.
At a train station in the rain.
Oh, those are 2 different answers.
At the wedding.
At the wedding.
The wedding happened at a train station.
But so the aunt's married, but now she's— she got divorced.
She got divorced. She got divorced to Neil Patrick Harris. Got it.
OK, but how those shows are filmed, they film the first and last episode immediately, right away, like how it ends. So that's why you get to the end. You're like, wait, what the fuck is this? That's what it always was. You just don't know it as an audience.
Gotcha. So they got it. They met while they were running a train. Mm-hmm. With the aunt?
No, no, it just happened to be at a train station.
It was raining.
She was the wedding— she was a wedding singer.
Guitarist. Yeah.
She was in the wedding band.
All right, Cowboys 34, Texans 30.
Drake Maye's back.
Drake Maye's back. Uh, CeeDee Lamb, the CeeDee Lamb game, 17 catches, 189 yards and a touchdown. This game was awesome. Uh, unfortunately for the Texans, they're 0-4 and they just cannot time up their offense and their defense at the same time.
At all.
At all.
At all.
Because the offense, the offense looked pretty good. CJ Stroud had a great game today.
Nico Collins back.
Yeah, it makes a big difference.
Like CJ Stroud. I know they lose this game. CJ Stroud had the ball, uh, down 27-23 with like 6 minutes left. He goes down the field 87 yards to score a touchdown. That should be enough for the Cowboys, uh, for the Texans defense to shut the door. Well, and it wasn't.
It's that, and also at some point the Texans need to figure out how to run the football. Yeah, because they have They have not been able to do that.
No.
If the key is if you have a great defense like they, they should have in theory, it didn't look great today. But if you have a great defense, you can get away with having CJ Stroud play average ball if you can run the football.
But he didn't even play average. He played good today.
And he played great today. But they still can't. The larger point is they had a lead. They were up 16 to 6 at halftime.
Yeah.
If you run the football in the second half, you can eliminate a lot of those points and you can take them off. But they've, they've consistently over the course of the last 3 years, they have not been able to run the football at all.
They—
and Dak got just like super hot. I mean, that— what are you laughing about, Max?
After Zach did his— after we cut the mic, Zach goes, I've only watched half of it. You just spoiled that for me.
Zach, I didn't want to ruin the moment you guys were going there, but like, yeah, whole show's done.
Tanked.
Absolutely tanked.
Seems that I've been dying for 5 minutes.
Wait, Zach, what are your thoughts as somebody that hasn't watched the whole show but was looking forward to it? What are your thoughts on the ending?
I honestly like it.
Stupid.
Oh, Zach, we said spoiler. You should have left.
I didn't want you— it was, it was going so well. You couldn't, you couldn't interrupt that. Yeah, that was purity jazz.
It really was.
All right.
You guys have thoughts on the— I mean, the Cowboys offense is electric. CeeDee Lamb is just He's so fucking good.
17 catches is nuts, nuts, nuts.
And he had 11 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown in the second half alone. And the Cowboys broke their streak. They had, they had lost 30, 32 straight road games when trailing by double digits in the second half, which was the longest active streak of its kind in the NFL. I don't know. I mean, the Cowboys are dangerous if they can ever figure out their defense, which they really couldn't in this game because Again, CJ Stroud looked good and Nico Collins. Nico Collins, it basically comes down to if the Texans have Nico Collins on the field, their offense is now— I'm confident enough in CJ Stroud that he's not going to be total ass. If he's not on the field, then I— you're going to have to win the game like 13-10.
The whole offense goes as far as him having a weapon.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And they—
yeah.
Now, now the Texans defense has to match it. Also, CJ Stroud said after the game, on last season's success means nothing now. Uh, he said you have to be an iPhone, you have to upgrade every year. Doesn't that mean they'd get a new iPhone, like a new quarterback?
You trade it out, right? And what is he talking about, the software upgrade?
I don't know, because I like—
that kills your battery, right?
And also, like, most people, like, they'll have an iPhone— I usually have for a couple years and then get a new one because it's just like, it's so slow. So like, they're basically— CJ, like It's time for a new iPhone if we're going with that analogy.
I want my quarterback thinking about a Wii phone. Yeah, that's selfish bullshit.
Yeah, exactly.
He's, uh, yeah, if he has a weapon out there, he's gonna be great. Um, if his defense steps up, and again, I haven't really seen the same level of like intimidation, ferociousness out of the defense that we saw like pretty much all last year.
No, Kamari Lassiter I think was the one who got picked on a lot today.
Yeah.
I see these also. He's just so fucking good. And it's got to— do you think it pisses off?
I guess my point is, if you're a great defense, like if you're going to be a great defense like the Texans have had for the past 2 years, you should be able to figure out how to stop one guy from getting 17 catches for 189 yards.
Agreed. Like great defenses don't typically allow that, especially when that guy has beads at the bottom of his hair like he just got back from Jamaica. Do you see that?
Yeah, you can. You won't lose him.
That, that, that— do you think that pisses off? Like, like, I'm getting beat by the guy with, with, with beads in his hair.
The alternative is get beat by the guy with 3 mouthpieces.
True.
George Pickens.
True.
George Pickens did have that awesome catch. Yeah, that awesome deep catch. I will say, for Texans fans, um, I'm buying stock in the Texans now, right now. I know they're 0-4, they're +270 to make the playoffs right now. Their next 6 games are at the Titans. I think they're going to win that game. Okay. I think they're going to get their first win next weekend. Then they get the Jaguars at home, which is a massive game that if you can somehow find a way to win that and the Jaguars are going to get to next have been really, really good.
Yeah.
But if you find a way to win that game, that's a divisional game. That's huge for morale, everything. Giants at home, which I think the Giants like, as nice as the 3-1 start has been for the Giants, that's a, that's a, A defense— an offense that the Texans defense should be able to contain.
Mm-hmm.
At the Chargers, which the Chargers might just be dead. We'll get to them. Like, that's just a lifeless team. At the Browns, Colts. Now Browns like are playing great ball. Colts 2-2. I'm not saying any of these are gimmes. Maybe the Titans is a gimme, but I'm at least saying in the next 6 games I can see there being a little bit of wins here where they can maybe get some momentum going. Because I do think this team is not just all of a sudden bad. I think they have a combination of, again, not matching up— who just scored?
Not Amon-Ra.
Not Amon-Ra, LaPorta. They have a combination of not matching up their offense and defensive games at the same time and also playing some pretty good teams. Like they've started the schedule against some pretty good teams.
Yeah. Cowboys have an explosive offense for sure. I have a question for you, Big Cap.
Yeah.
Is Brandon Aubrey washed?
Well, he got one blocked.
He missed a 62-yarder that was blocked and he missed a 65-yarder today. Is this guy washed or what?
He might be washed.
Might be washed.
Might not be giving up a first-round pick for him anymore.
Nope.
But yeah, I think I'm buying my— I'm buying it in. I would buy stock in the Texans right now.
I would be too. I would be too. I think that the— it's weird because their offense does look much improved, especially when they have Collins on the field.
Yeah, I was—
learn how to run the football.
I was, I was looking at various things. I think there's their over-under for wins right now is 7.5. 8.5 would be juiced, you know, plus money. So just some things to think about. Just some things to think about. And the Cowboys are— I feel like this was the launchpad for them to go on a little bit of a run because they get the Buccaneers on short rest, which that should be a win for the Cowboys.
Yep.
I would assume maybe a get-right game for their defense. Uh, so I, I feel like the Cowboys are gonna maybe rip off some wins here, and their offense is just so, so good. I don't really know what else to say than like, I don't know how you contain the weapons that they have. Javonte Williams looks great. I mean, Flournoy is good too.
Flournoy is good. They got Joey Porter Jr. Yeah, he played a little bit today. Um, yeah, this is just one of those games that I think no matter who the two— it was just going to end up being like a shootout where Both teams abandoned the run entirely and nobody can stop anybody. And it's just hold on to your nuts.
Yeah. Which was crazy because it was a low-scoring game where no one could do anything offensively in the first half.
Yeah.
And then it just shootout broke out.
Run the football, Texans.
All right. Next up, Jaguars 22, Bengals 17. This game was gross.
It was gross.
It was gross to watch. I don't mean that in like the Jaguars or Bengals are bad teams. There were so many penalties. There are 24 penalties for 233 yards, which at the point in the day, it was like, that's a lot. There was actually a game with way more later on in the day. But Hank, we had this game, we had the Jangles and we had the Jangles game on. It was so tough to watch. Every time they would get somewhere or a big play would happen, it would just be a flag and everyone would move backwards and be like, all right, well, that's fun.
This game lived between the 30-yard lines.
Yeah. And it was, and it came down to the Jaguars. Uh, the Jaguars are a good team. They, they take the ball away. They're so right now they are 10 takeaways in 4 games, uh, 39 takeaways since the beginning of last year, which leads the league, uh, tied for with the Bears. They can run the ball. Trevor Lawrence looks comfortable. All the things seem to be clicking. It did feel like this game was another winnable game for the Bengals if Joe Burrow didn't throw just a horrific— Horrific interception in the red zone.
Yeah, it was a bad pick. And also, I believe that the Jaguars defense, it might be one of the best, if not the best, in the red zone. Yeah, they are like bend but don't break. And yeah, Burrow had a— it was such a bad, really bad interception. But the Bengals were driving at the end of the game. And if Chase Brown gets one more yard or like half more yard, then they were in a position where they very easily could have won. But great tackle. By the Jaguars.
He was there to bring him down. And I know Ja'Marr Chase was out, but I just can't— I couldn't get over that. Joe Burrow, like, he, he drove them all the way down the field. There's 14 minutes left in the game. It's a 6-point game. It's first and goal on the 10-yard line. Why are you trying to force a ball into a very, very tight window with 2 defenders there? I don't know. That just made no sense to me. And that felt like that was— that I know there was more game to be played. But man, that was a backbreaker of an interception, like absolute backbreaker. And I don't know, Joe Burrow even said afterwards, they asked him about, so the run-pass split for the Bengals.
I like this quote.
It was, what was the exact split? It was, hold on. Oh, 54 throws and 15 rushes. And Joe Burrow said, my response to that would be let's throw it more.
Yeah, because I know we're great at it. Yeah. And it is true because so he threw, he dropped back 54 times. They had 428 yards. yards passing. And when you look at the results they got from running the football, 1.5 yards per carry today. So he's right that the run game, either figure out how to fix the run game, or if you have a dogshit rushing attack like that, just air it out more. I agree with him.
And, and he did, he did mention in that quote, the longer part of that quote was like, we're pass blocking really well right now. So why not? Ja'Marr Chase's concussion, that was That was one of the most violent face masks you could possibly have because he got face masked and then smashed in the face.
Yeah, the face mask, that was nasty.
Which definitely changes the course of the game, a weapon like his. And the Bengals defense did their part again. Like the Bengals defense has, has done a good job. And it's just, they've, they've, they've kind of blown the last 2 games with, with special teams errors and turnovers that they could easily be a 4-0 team and they're sitting there 2-2 now. And the Jaguars are good. Jaguars are just good.
In the, uh, this play did not count file, but it should have because it was awesome. You see Travis Hunter's interception that he had?
Yes.
And then, and then the juke move that he put on, I believe it was Tee Higgins.
Yes.
Trying to tackle him. The ref should have just picked up whatever flag was down and be like, that we need for his Hall of Fame reel. Isn't that what Travis Kelce said?
Yep.
We need to make sure that that play is included in his film when he gets inducted, because watch this move that he put on Tee. Yeah. Like he snatched his soul.
Yeah.
His entire soul is gone.
And Travis Hunter seems to be like, he's trying to, he's starting to find it.
Yeah.
Because you're letting him just play defense.
Yeah. Play defense. You're great at defense.
Liam Cohen's such a good coach though.
He is. I was looking at the, the futures odds for the Jaguars today.
Yeah.
I was letting myself get loose with where I thought the Jaguars could end up.
Okay.
I believe they're 16 to 1 to win the Super Bowl.
Oh, okay.
In that division. It looks like they have— well, they definitely have the inside track to, to winning that division.
Yes.
The Titans, the Colts, nope. The Texans—
Wait, you don't think the Titans could come back?
I don't think that there's—
Okay.
I don't think there's ever been a deeper ass that has been come out of than the one that the Titans are inside of right now.
I'd agree.
Um, so no, I don't. So the Texans maybe, but I think that they'll—
You're saying the Jags are gonna have a home playoff game?
Out of all the teams right now in all the divisions, I would say that the Jags probably have The best inside track to getting home field advantage.
Here's the only counterpoint I would say to the Jaguars winning the Super Bowl. And I don't mean this in any offense to Jaguars fans, because again, I think Liam Cohn's an unbelievable coach. The way Trevor Lawrence is playing, he's, he's a top-tier quarterback right now. Just close your eyes and picture the Jacksonville Jaguars going to Kansas City in January. And who's going to win that?
That's why you got to get home field.
That's—
yeah.
But that's— that would be the only thing that would scare me.
Bring them to your pool.
Just imagining the Jaguars uniforms in a cold Kansas City environment.
Would not work.
Would scare the fuck out of me.
Yeah, would not work.
I—
and the other big blinking red warning sign that I see is when you actually said the words, the only thing I would say about the Jacksonville Jaguars not winning the Super Bowl, it was like, yeah, well, I probably shouldn't have brought that up.
Yeah.
Because it's the Jacksonville Jaguars. But in terms of how good they're playing right now, how good their coach is and how good Trevor Lawrence is playing, Mm-hmm. I, I don't think it's the craziest thing in the world to think that the Jaguars could at least do some damage in the playoffs.
Yeah. No, I, I absolutely agree. I think they, they have a coaching advantage against most, if not all teams with the way Liam Coans got them rolling. I also love Liam Coans' quote about the first. So the first half, the Jaguars alone had 10 penalties for 100 first half, 100 yards. He said, never been a part of anything like that before in my life. I'm not going to say anything to get fined. That was just mental. It was mental. Yeah, I like that. He kind of slipped into being a, like a British hooligan for a second. It was mental.
Or like Wayne's World.
Yeah, it was mental stuff. But yeah, Jags good. Jags 3-1. I may sprinkle on— what are they to win the AFC?
I also looked at the AFC. I think they're 6-1 to win the AFC.
I mean, this is a team that was really good last— what, they win 13 games last year?
Yeah.
So it's not like it's coming out of nowhere.
No, they've been good for a while. And I wouldn't put that like they got— they got good joshed last year in the playoffs.
Yeah.
In Jacksonville, like it very easily could have been the Jaguars winning that game.

Are they going to try to kick a field goal?
Dane Campbell had one of the craziest 4th down go-forts of all time.
Which one? The 4th and 20? Yeah, 4th and 20.
Hook and ladder for—
But also they were stuck in a weird score.
No.
If he kicks that field goal, it's a 3-point game right now.
Mm.
I can't do math while I'm— while I'm 100% podcasting.
Add 3 points.
I know, I know.
But what was the—
what was the score when he did it?
They were down 13.
They just scored one touchdown.
They're down 13, 4th and 20.
And where— yeah, that part of the field was on—
it was like the 30-yard line.
Yeah.
So they got it to the 10-yard line.
I mean, it's 4th and 20.
That's what I'm saying.
So I'll say the only thing when I was watching it that I was thinking that he might have been thinking is that they only are going to have 2 more like that. They're only going to have one more.
But now you got to score.
I know, I know, I know. I think he might have thought that they were only going to get one more possession. with the way their defense is playing. Do you know what I mean? So they would need a touchdown and a touchdown. That's, I think, what he would say. But yeah, I agree, that was crazy. You know what I'm saying?
When you're down 13, but they—
it was like 4th and 4.
Yeah, and they got a penalty and they got another penalty and he just, he just doubled down, tripled down.
Yeah, yeah.
Once, once you get the holding call to go back from, you know—
Yeah, no, I saw it. 4th and 9, 4th and 19, still 5 yards short.
You gotta just take the field goal.
He's done that shit before though. Remember that game, I think it was against the Cowboys a few years ago? Where they were like going for 2 instead of kicking extra point and they got backed up to like the 25-yard line and he was like, fuck it, we're still going for it.
I mean, they're going to score here and it's not going to matter.
Also, Ted McMillan just made the best catch on the sideline.
I saw that one. Ted's a fucking monster. Also, the Lions hook and ladder, it's not fooling anyone anymore. They've done it so many times. They need to fake it at this point.
Yeah.
Beams literally said they're going to do the hook and ladder.
Yeah.
They need to fake the hook and ladder and then have the guy go up, you know, go up the field. field or maybe have—
I feel like they've done that before too.
Yeah, maybe have 2 guys doing hook and ladders.
I don't know.
Yeah, you gotta do cross field.
You have to do a flea flicker and they do that too.
I think.
No, cross field, like throw it.
Yeah.
Well, what you do is you hit the guy with a hook and ladder and then you have to have another guy cutting inside off the hook and ladder guy because the defense is going to already be swarming to the ladder. So you have to have 2 ladders.
Maybe a Statue of Liberty Hook and ladder.
That would be cool.
Like you fake the hook and it's a Statue of Liberty to somebody else going the other way.
This has been a very fun Sunday Night Football.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
These 2 defenses stink.
Or I wish he'd bring back the, the hook and ladder to Penei Sewell. Yeah, he tried that one time.
That plays too.
Let the man run.
Damn. Goff has 400 yards and Bryce Young has 329. Just lighten it up.
Absolutely.
This is good.
How's that ladder?
Ladder went great.
Sunday night shootouts are the best.
He went the ladder. The 320 yards for Bryce Young was +488. I went all the way up. So yeah. Okay, well, we'll recap that when it finishes. Next up, Max, you ready?
Sure.
Do you want to do your game right now or you want to watch?
You want to do it?
You want to do an inconsequential game while we, while we watch the end of this game?
This was inconsequent and whatever.
Yeah. What was that?
Inconsequential.
OK. Rams 24, Eagles 20.
Yeah, it was. It was terrible, blown lead. The offense stinks.
Can I say offense is also a preseason roster right now? Can I say it was mean what the Eagles did to you today?
100%.
Because you went into the game being like assessing the situation. You don't have DeVonta Smith. You don't have like Saquon gets, gets hurt, banged up at the beginning of the game. Your offensive line's banged up. Your defense banged up. All these things. The Rams need to win. Puka's back. You went into this game. You said before the game, it's like we're playing like with no one. We're like, it's going to be really hard to win this game. And then they got a 10-point lead. And it became a game where it's like, now you have to win it because you're up 10. You're up 10 with 4th and goal on the 2-yard line.
No, no, no, no, no. We were up 10, 2nd and goal from the 5-yard line.
2nd and goal, yeah. And you somehow lost the game. You were up, you were, all you had to do was get in the end zone. You would have been up 17, game over. They stopped you at 4th and goal.
I actually, I've thought about that. The more I've thought about that, I disagree.
You think they would have won no matter what?
I think they would have won no matter what. Okay. Because they scored so quickly those 2 times.
I mean, statistically, the Rams dominated this game.
Oh yeah.
I mean, it wasn't even close for the Eagles to be in it.
They need like Stafford had some bad picks.
Yeah. No, no. Stafford threw 2 picks and then, and then you had the punt return that was very helpful. Yeah. I looked it up because you guys went, you scored, you scored 17 points and off those 17 points you had a, it was a 6-play drive for 17 yards. A 2-play drive for 17 yards, a 2-play drive for 35 yards. So like you didn't have to go far or throw a 3-play drive, whatever.
Yeah.
I mean, the Eagles were terrible in this game. They were playing with a preseason roster and Jalen Hurts played badly. So with all of that, the fact that they even had a chance in this game was insane. I, I've never been looking at the clock to go down more than I was in this game.
So you don't mind the decision by Sirianni then?
I think they lose no matter what.
Okay.
I think like—
Yeah, it was a 98-yard or 79-yard drive.
Yes.
And so they weren't stopping anyone.
They weren't stopping. The Rams finally clicked and the Eagles defense, we asked so much of the Eagles defense that entire game. They were on the field the whole game.
Yeah.
So it's like eventually they were going to break down. Especially being down so many guys already. Zach Bolland was hurt going into the game. Quinyon Mitchell goes down in the middle of the game. Jonathan Grenard goes down in the middle of the game. Like, Jalen Carter was playing edge at one point. I noticed like they did— the team was— it was a preseason roster today that they were so lucky to be in that game. But you still want to figure out— you still like would like to think that you could find a way. But it's just bullshit that they put me in that situation. Like you said, right?
They were mean to you.
Because I was done. Like, I went into this game, I was like, all right, this is—
you said it before, this is nothing game.
They're going to lose this game, whatever, try and get healthy. And now we got even more hurt. Like, I felt that way going into the game. And then we had 5 huge injuries in the middle of the game. And then we go to London next week. So they're not going to bring the guy like Saquon. Probably no one's playing next week. We're going to get absolutely boat raced in London.
What about Lane Johnson?
Lane Johnson might retire.
Because Lane, I mean, we've seen all the stats of how much better the Eagles are when Lane's playing, when he's not, specifically with the quarterback.
Right.
And do we know that? Was that—
Markel Bell was, I mean, he's a, he's a rookie. He's our 3rd string tackle. Our backup was also hurt going into this game. So he was terrible. But I mean, I will say I haven't watched the All-22, but my 2 eyes of when I was watching the game, He seemed like he was terrible. And without Lane Johnson, who was the leader of the offense, the leader of the team, really, it would be a big blow if he decides to hang it up. So I hope he's doing okay because I know he's had some mental health stuff in the past and it seemed like it was a big shock to everyone that he wasn't playing in this game.
Yeah, I hope he's okay too. They went— the Eagles went 0 for 12 on third down. Which is, yeah, kind of, kind of a crazy stat.
1 for 4 on 4th down, which they usually—
Yeah.
Zach Ertz catches that ball, they probably win the game. But the fact that I'm relying on a 59-year-old Zach Ertz to catch a ball to win the game is probably an indictment of where this team is at health-wise right now.
Was this the worst sports week of your life?
I had this like same week last week, last year.
I don't know if it was exactly the same, was it?
I think—
oh, hey, someone sent me the entire list.
Yeah, it was the Orion Kirkering overthrow.
Eagles get Thursday night.
Yeah, that was just a day.
That was it. That was it.
But then it was also Penn State sandwiched in between that of the fire of the— I think James Franklin got fired that week as well because I think it was right after they lost to UCLA. And then they lost to Northwestern the week after.
Yeah.
So that was also in the middle of it.
One of our coworkers sent me the calendar of the last week. If I could read it out loud.
Yeah, that would be memes. He's made like 10 graphics of it.
It wasn't memes. It was a different calendar.
Just one.
Saturday, September 26th, Penn State loses to Wisconsin. Phillies lose to the Rays 12-1. Sunday, September 27th, Phillies beat the Rays 7-3. There's a win. So that's good. Monday, September 28th, Eagles lose 27-7 to the Bears.
Case Keenum and the Bears.
Case Keenum and the Bears.
Make sure you add that.
Yeah.
Tuesday, September 29th, Phillies lose 5-3 to the Braves. Wednesday, September 30th, Flyers lose 7-0 to the Penguins. The Phillies do beat the Braves 4-3 in 10 innings.
That's huge.
That was a sick game.
Yep. Thursday, October 1st, Flyers lose 3-2 overtime to the Devils. Phillies lose 6-2 to the Braves. Friday, September 2nd, Penn State loses 34-13 to Northwestern. Max is in attendance. Saturday, October 2nd, Flyers lose 3-2 overtime to the Canes. Sunday, October 4th, Eagles lose 24-20.
With a 10-point lead in the 4th quarter.
With a 10-point lead in the 4th quarter. When you list it out like that, it doesn't sound— it doesn't sound fun.
No, it really is. It's really You could sum it up. You don't even have to list all of them. It's just your football teams are 0-4 in the last 8 days and your baseball team got eliminated in the postseason. That's it.
Yeah, but the baseball team's even worse than that because the end of the regular season was such a fucking disaster. Yeah, that, that also goes into account because we didn't get— if we had our pitching in line, maybe things would have been different.
So I saw you say that you might retire from sports and then it it kind of clicked in your head. I saw your, like, the hamster moving around in your brain and you're like, that would mean I'd have to retire from my job. So much work.
LeBron, you can't quit before LeBron.
That hamster is going to be a disaster. That hamster has a six-pack. It's just work. It's just running on a treadmill constantly. So where are you at now? Because you were You actually didn't freak out too bad until Hank— what did Hank say?
Classic. I was super pissed off.
I'm leaving the cave and Hank's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
You didn't say a word.
Correct.
So I didn't know if you were pissed off or not.
He thought I had bet the Eagles.
He thought you might have been happy.
Yeah, Hank, there was no way for Hank to know that you were.
I had bet the Eagles.
We were blowing a lead, 10-point lead where the win probability for the Rams was 3.2%. With 8 minutes left, he thought you might have been happy.
97%.
We were mourning together. It was the witching hours. There was a lot going on. And like, there was— it was a quiet time in the cave. We were all kind of recapping what was going on. Max hadn't talked in like 10 minutes.
And I think that's normally an indication that I'm in a good spot.
There's probably a clip where I was like, Max, I was fucking—
can you find the clip real quick?
Yeah, play the clip.
I'm not—
I don't know.
I'm not—
I'm not— Max, you can find it. Say the headphones off.
Zach, can you pull up the clip?
I don't know why I gave Zach the headphones.
I think Barstool Gambling posted it. I'd like to see the clip.
Hank, what did you say to him?
I don't even remember.
I think I said— and again, I had bet the Eagles and I had, I had the, I had the Giants and I had the Cowboys. So I'm like rooting for the NFC East.
He's closing his eyes.
I'm upset about the loss, just as upset as Max was, if not more upset.
That's how I felt after the Super Bowl when the Patriots lost.
Exactly.
Exactly.
I saw the clip and I was like, I was like, Max, that was fucking brutal, man. And then he just— he like almost broke our sponsors, our nice sponsor ball pit.
Zach, you had it. Go back.
Oh, the Raising Cane's case.
That one is Max's Big Mad. No, no, go down. There you go. All right, go. Yes.
There's a lot of posts, to be fair, that are labeled something like Max is distraught. Max is very upset. So it's hard to find which one.
Go ahead, press play. I can't remember what he said. Pods.
Pods. Dead on.
Yeah, I said that was horrible, dude.
It was.
That was horrible, dude. And then he kicked the case.
He destroyed the sign. The sign fell off. The top's dented.
Oh, man. And then, and then, and then—
Hank, why are you smiling right now?
Right now?
Yeah.
Because it was hilarious. Because it was fucking funny.
It was hilarious.
Listen. Okay, let's pause it. Max, come back. Come back, Max.
Then we stay in the cave. We watch the rest of the rest of the afternoon games. I heard a report like 3 hours later. Max was just sitting in silence in the studio, crisscross applesauce.
I came to drop— I came to put my wallet, my keys in here, and Max was just— had the door closed and was just laying with his feet up on the couch. Just like you could just tell he was in a bad spot.
Not—
I don't even think I did. I say a word to you when I came in?
That was big. I needed that.
I just walked in, dropped my shit off, walked right out.
I needed— I just needed like an hour.
And then now you need Zach around you.
I just need an hour to myself. And then I was okay. And then I came back in better, in better spirits. It's just been a lot of losses. I've just been stacking L's recently. And I thought I was like, this would be, this would be such a cool win. I was like, this would be such a cool win. No one thought we were going to win this game. We got preseason. We could have just stole it, stole this game.
Hank bet on him.
I believe.
I wasn't even mad at you, Hank. It was just like, I know, it was just I needed— I need—
I wasn't mad at you either. Yeah.
Like, I didn't really yell at you. I just was— yeah, I was just mad at— I did yell at you, but I didn't mean it.
Well, I wouldn't say you mean—
I didn't take it personally.
You're yelling out the door. You were on your way out the door.
Yeah.
You should apologize to the Raising Cane's ball pit.
Yeah.
Yeah, I am sorry to the Raising Cane's ball pit.
Thank you.
I don't even know what happened with that because I went to go try and I don't know how that thing was initially hanging up because I went to go try and put it back and it, it was an impossible task.
You damaged it beyond repair.
What, what's the fit?
Are you—
is Nick Sirianni— are you giving up on all of this? Because the offense is— I know there's a lot of guys hurt.
I mean, the entire offense.
Yeah.
So, so then—
but Jalen Hurts played poorly. But DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, Saquon Barkley.
That's a lot.
this game.
That's a big— that's, that's really good team.
Does it, does it concern you, though, that it's the second game? I think it's second game in a row where you haven't scored in the second half.
Yeah, the game plan in the second half is brutal. But the Eagles, the only reason they scored in the first half is because they got field, field position. They had 175 yards of total, of total yards.
After the game was over, I was— I went back to the kitchen to get some, some post-game one ice cream. And as I was in there, I heard you yelling on the phone to somebody. I can only assume that it was to a Delente.
That was my dad.
Okay. Yeah.
So he was trying to calm me down and I was— and I was— I was motherfucking—
I was wondering who was on because it did sound from the one side of the conversation I heard that there was somebody trying to be supportive on the other side for you.
No, I wasn't taking it.
But you weren't taking it.
What was he saying to you?
I don't even remember. I couldn't. I swear to God.
You were very upset that they— was it they didn't go to Cooper at all in the second half? Because you're like, they went to him twice in the first half and then I don't even know why that touchdown catch he made was all—
I actually wish they went back.
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know. Yeah, the Eagles have— they lead the league in 3-and-outs with 15, and 11 of the 15 have occurred in the second half.
The second half has been— the third quarter is the worst quarter in the history of quarters.
Yeah, I do think the Rams—
Rams are a problem.
They stink.
Oh, I, I don't think they stink.
They stink.
OK.
They should have blown the doors off of that team. That's a preseason team.
Yeah, that's— it's also like a weird travel for them thinking what Sunday Night Football Mile High to then East Coast body clock early game, like, you know, 10 AM game. That's a, that's a spot to come out flat.
If they lost that game, that would have been an embarrassment.
I agree. I'm just saying like the flatness of the Rams, how the Rams looked at portions of that game. can be at least a little bit explained by the fact that they were just traveling cross-country after playing Sunday Night Football at Mile High.
They won.
That's a— yeah, I guess.
Yeah, they won.
I guess they won.
I— listen, Stafford's like— Stafford, uh, has 6 interceptions on the year.
He—
last year he didn't throw his 6th interception till Week 17. So that's a problem. But with Puka now back, you could see like The Puka, Kyren Williams, Tyler Higbee. I mean, it can obviously be Terrence Ferguson when he comes back. That trio with Davante mixed in, like, that offense is very, very difficult to deal with. You saw how easy they went down the field at the end of the game.
I get it, but that—
it's—
they were playing a second-string team.
I get that, but also Nick Sirianni had never lost to McVay before.
I think, like, I don't think that's like a good, like That's like an indictment of like a— that makes the Rams a good team.
No, it doesn't. But it does make the Eagles like the Rams have not been in even when they were like at their best. They've not been able to beat the Eagles in the past. So it is kind of a big thing.
I would, I would be buying stock in the Rams right now because Myles Garrett's about to be back and Aaron Donald was out today. I just, I think they're going to be, they're going to— although, oh, I didn't realize they have Monday Night Football against the Bills. Next week.
Okay. It could have been a little bit, but I don't know. You can't have a look-ahead spot when you're looking at 1-3. Like, no, I needed to win this game.
I know.
And they came out so fucking flat.
But I'm looking at the— I'm looking at the Rams schedule coming up. Like, they have the Bills. That's going to be a very tough game. But then they play the Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, Cardinals, Packers. Like, those are— those feel like games the Rams should stack some wins. So, and When you see Puka back out on the field, you're like, fuck, this is a problem. He's just so good. And Kyren is awesome.
The offense looks—
Kyren was awesome.
A lot different with Puka back.
Kyren caught— how many? He had 10 catches today. All right. So, Max, you're not going to— you're not going to quit your job. What do you think about the Rams coaches flipping off Eagles fans? You saw that video?
Yeah, there was a lot going on. There was a lot going on. Apparently there was stuff before the video that I don't know. A lot of, a lot of context. And because throwing the drink at the thing is crazy. But according to the Eagles fans that were there, they were— the Rams fans were antagonizing the Eagles fans first. It was the Rams coaching staff or the Rams coaching staff, which makes it way funnier.
Way funnier. Yeah.
Is this the most violent conduct by a booth at the Linc in American history?
Good question.
It might be.
He's gonna get it.
He's gonna get it.
He's gonna get it.
No, no, that's okay.
We'll move on.
That hamster's— hamster shut down for the night.
Yeah.
Tuck him in.
Like John Wilkes Booth?
There you go.
There you go.
Got it.
That hamster. What's the name of the hamster? Just did the Undertaker meme.
Lincoln was the guy.
Oh, right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was— wow. Got it, got it. Yeah, got it.
Got it.
The hamster just did it. Did he?
There was—
got out of the casket.
Oh, that's right.
Yeah, yeah. Okay. Wait, that's it for the game. Who?
Max and John Wilkes Booth? Something.
That's right. You are Max. Yeah. What are you—
no, Lincoln and John Wilkes Booth.
No.
Are you thinking of—
you're thinking of the Lincoln secretary was Kennedy and Kennedy's secretary was Lincoln. Close enough.
That'd be wild if they were cousins.
That's what I heard.
I do. You should get a better hamster, Hank.
Yeah, get a better—
no, I trust me.
Hank's hamster.
I know history.
John Wilkes Booth saved— or no, Abraham Lincoln, I think, saved John Wilkes Booth's brother's life.
Yes.
So his other cousin, they were running a train.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's how you might— that's how he met his mother. Yeah.
Oh, Max, have you thought about when you're going to feel joy again? Do you have a date circled?
Yeah, no, I had great, great joy Saturday night. Mount Joy. That's why I was like, maybe sport—
like, no sports are for you.
Yeah, maybe you become one of those, like, I'll just be people in the pit. Just like a roadie.
Yeah, yeah, sure. That was fun. Shout out Mount Joy.
They're great.
And rocks.
Love them.
That band rocks. Okay, Bears 23, Jets 12.
Memes.
Hate week's over.
Hate week's over. Before we talk about the Jets sucking ass, Carl Chafers or whatever the fuck his name is ruined the Jets' first interception.
Yeah, agreed.
Agreed.
Well, Tyson Bagent wanted to throw you like 7 interceptions.
So many.
There were so many flags that took away interceptions.
I don't know.
His PFF grade is going to be a mess. Yeah, no, that was, that was a crazy moment where it was like, hey, the Jets finally got an interception. But you did get one, Mike.
And but it was, it was a fat guy interception. Yeah, just a phantom. It was hands to the face.
It was a bad call.
T'Vondre Sweat, right? T'Vondre Sweat, one-handed fat guy interception. It doesn't get any better than that to break a streak.
I came, I came back to do something back here and Memes is like, just so you know, the score is actually 6-3 because we're not— I'm not accepting that interception. And I was like, okay.
So yeah, they scored a touchdown on that drive too.
Yeah.
Yeah. The meanest thing, he got the pick and then he celebrated because he's like, holy shit, I'm a big boy, just caught the ball. His teammates are all like gassing up, gassing him up. And then you see the flag graphic come down. And then after he goes to the sidelines, you see the wave of realization hit him. Yeah. And they're like, hey man, that didn't count, which does suck. But it also made me think that like, I do need a camera on people's faces the entire game. If you do something good and there's a flag. Yeah, I do love seeing the players go from celebrating to being like, ah, shit, shit. That like second of disappointment that hits them. Yeah, I do like having that camera. But memes, you're right. In my mind, that's what ended the streak.
Yeah, me too. They did end it. That one series.
Yeah, you ended it right away after. This was just a domination. I mean, that was— I don't even understand the Jets tweet that they did that they're getting ratioed for, if you can explain to me. But the Bears had Bears had 34 first downs, the Jets had 32 plays. So it was 492 yards to 157. Bears had 89 plays to the Jets' 32 plays. Bears just played bully ball. Uh, Kyle Minungai is an absolute monster. I just love watching him run. Rome Odunze looked awesome. Um, and Ben Johnson had fun with everyone doing the 2 quarterbacks at the beginning because he said that everyone had decided who was, uh, starting, so he thought he would just Be like, hey, you don't know. And yeah, the defense looks good. I don't know how much to take of it when it comes to like you guys are pretty banged up offensively. Breece Hall obviously didn't play. You guys are missing some receivers, but the Bears defense has been very good. At least the last 2 games, actually last 3 games, Bears defense has been really good. And Dennis Allen feels like he's got the guys playing well.
Yeah, no, the, your defense, your defense rocked. Frank Reich just had like one of the worst offensive game plans ever. Now the offense, like an excuse, they were just standing on the sideline for 10 minutes at a time while the Bears just went down the field.
Oh, the game, the way the game started where the Bears go down the field, don't get the, don't get a touchdown, couldn't get 1 yard, which that was a, if you had to do concerns from the game, concern number 1 would be red zone because we, we scored 2 touchdowns out of 7 red zone trips and it felt like at moments we couldn't get a single yard, but we got down to the 1, stopped at the 1. You guys got the ball, 3 and out, then another long drive. And it was like that was the entire first quarter. My other concern would be Tyson Bagent didn't look super sharp, I would say. Yeah, but no, a win's a win. No, but yeah, he did not look super sharp.
And guys were just wide open.
Yeah, that's the Ben Johnson effect. I mean, Ben Johnson, now we're 4 weeks in the season. He has won a football game with 3 different quarterbacks.
He's—
this is why I would do anything for the guy. This is why I would die for him. This is why I think he's on God level. He's just— I mean, that's pretty insane to have it. Most teams can't have their backup quarterback win a game, let alone the third string. So we're now here, 3-1, and we've won with 3 different guys.
He did say it was a ceremonial first pitch. Yeah. The handing of the torch when he put Keenum out there at the beginning of the game.
I don't know. There will be a lot of discussion this week about Case Keenum has to start against the Packers. Whatever Ben Johnson does is the right decision. In my mind, I don't really— I'm not going to stress about it. Whatever, whatever happens happens. And I'm going to trust whatever he decides.
I think if I had to guess, I would say they're probably going to stick with Bagent.
Yeah.
I mean, listen, Bagent, I think he can operate the offense. His arm is not super strong. And you could see it on some of the throws where it's like he's maybe holding on to the ball too long and trying to make a throw over the middle that's just— he doesn't have the arm strength for that someone like Caleb Williams can make. And you can't, you can't, like, it's okay when you make those mistakes when your defense is balling out. If the defense, I mean, the defense has been playing, like I said, incredible, uh, the last 3 games. And Theoneman, who's our rookie, has been awesome. He's led every single game in, in tackles. Diyo's looked awesome. Like, the pass rush has shown up. So it's just, if you get into a tight game, you can't make mistakes like that. So that'll be interesting. But Caleb's a quarterback. So it's like, just try to find a way to, to tread water. And we're now 2-0, treading water. Just also very excited.
Alternate quarterbacks.
Yeah.
Like, Case Keenum can get a full 2 weeks worth of rest in afterwards.
That was— I mean, it was bully ball though. The way we were running the ball, the way we run the ball is so fucking awesome. It's just, they just—
Time of possession was 42:45 to 17:15.
It was crazy.
You had 27— you ran— you had 27 plays inside the red zone today.
Yeah. I mean, Kyle Minogue is just— he's a bowling ball. He doesn't go down. And DeAndre Swift, he fumbled. I think he got a little banged up, but he's, he's awesome too. It's just, it's fun to watch. Colson Loveland finally got into the game. I just love Ben Johnson. That's all I got. What do you— where are you at, memes, with the Jets overall?
I mean, after that game, they stink. Like, if we're doing the levels again, yeah, you beat the Titans, you're better than the ass teams. But like, this is a top 10 football team who doesn't have their starting quarterback and you're still getting pushed around like you're You're, you could only play competitive games against like bottom 10 teams. And it's 2 sides of a coin. Like Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn get hired at the same time. Ben Johnson has all 3 phases firing on all cylinders. And you have Aaron Glenn who superpowers defense. Like that's just not, he's a nice guy.
Yeah.
He was a really good player for the team. I think there's a problem with hiring a guy Maybe good leader of men. Good leader of men. Everybody loves him. But like, he just— they're just not going in the right direction.
I—
there's a stat I saw that— so there are 5 2026 hires that are 1 win away from reaching Aaron Glenn's total wins as a head coach. That's not great.
No.
So Aaron Glenn's 4-17 as a coach. Uh, Joe Brady, Todd Monken, Jesse Minter, John Harbaugh, and Kubiak all have 3 wins apiece.
Yeah.
Also, this is just like, you know, the meme, uh, thank you for changing my life. And it's like, I'm, I'm literally just, you know, whatever.
And it's—
that's the meme for me. Thank you for changing my life. I'm literally just Ben Johnson. Matt Eberflus had 14 wins in 46 games coaching the Bears. Ben Johnson has 15 wins in 23 games coaching the Bears. So he's already passed him.
Yeah.
And it's half the amount of games coached.
He's an excellent coach to have the offense look as good as it has for the last 2 weeks. Yeah. Like you said, second string, third string. Do you have an emergency quarterback? I don't know. Would it be maybe Loveland?
We know we did have the USC kid.
Miller Moss. Yeah.
Miller Moss.
Miller Moss.
Yeah. So he might be practicing.
squad.
Yeah, probably Ben Nelson might just be like, fuck it, let's just do that too.
What if, if you had to win a game without passing the ball, do you— who's the worst team in the league? The Dolphins?
Titans?
Titans? Could you beat— if you— okay, if you made a worst-of starting lineup from the Texans or from the Titans and the Dolphins, so you took the worst 22 players at whatever position it is.
Yeah.
Could you beat them without throwing a pass?
Are we playing at home?
You're playing at home.
Okay.
It's not that cold out. Yeah.
But you—
our defense plays a lot better at home.
But you also declared before the game, like, we are not going to pass the ball. So they know that you're going to be running the football.
I think we could. I think you might not be wrong because I think the way he runs the football, the schemes and the way he gets guys blocked up, it's, it's erotic. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So, Meebs, who do you have next week?
So next week is the Browns.
That's a trap game for the Browns.
Yeah. According to Dom, the next 4 games is like what you'll see about Aaron Glenn.
So you think he's getting fired?
By the end of the season? I think if he doesn't win some games, you have to. Yeah. Otherwise, you're just doing the same thing you did with Todd Bowles. Like, they brought Todd Bowles back. Drafted Sam Darnold, then fired Todd Bowles, right? And brought in—
get it all mixed up.
You just gotta— yeah, you gotta, you gotta do one clean sweep.
Yep.
Although the Bears are, the Bears are a case study in that it can actually work out. You just have to hire Ben Johnson because we did fuck that up. We did the draft Caleb Williams, keep Eberflus. Yeah, that was a year from hell. But then you got to find your Ben Johnson.
Yeah, but yes, no, no, no, you're correct. No, but the but is for that other stat you brought up. Like all those coaches have QBs.
Yeah.
Except Harbaugh.
Right. Well, I mean, Kirk Cousins, he's a good quarterback. I wouldn't say he's like a superstar quarterback.
Yeah.
Yeah. But that's another Ben Johnson. Just know he just knows the system.
Yeah.
He always starts off hot. He had Derek Carr putting up 40 points a game.
Do you think the Jets got scared away from offensive head coaches after Adam Gase?
I think so. I also think nobody wanted to coach the Jets in that last cycle.
Yeah.
But let's just say hypothetically he's not coaching at the end of the season. I think they're the number one job.
Oh, I mean, the draft picks.
3 first-round picks. You have $100 million. You have talent on the team.
I'm not saying Glenn's a human sacrifice, but the draft picks, I think right now, what are they like? The 2, the 10th and the 13th or something like that.
It's like 7, 15, 16.
Oh, it's that. I thought it was— I thought it was higher than that. Oh, yeah, you're right. You're right. No, 7, 12, and 13.
Close.
That's pretty good. Pretty damn good.
What teams are those coming from?
The Cowboys and the Colts.
And the Packers.
Oh, yeah.
We have the better— the Cowboys or Packers.
Yes.
OK, but I'm rooting for him. Yeah. You just got to— Like, if all the guys in the locker room love him, Yeah. You're coming out next week and you're, you're beating down the Browns. But if you, if they don't and they just lay another egg, then it's—
Can I also say something that sounds very weird when I give you the stats of like the Bears didn't punt and they had 34 first downs and to the Jets 32? The Jets defense wasn't that bad today. Like they, they just never got off the field. The, the, the, the offense never gave them a chance to play complementary football. But I mean, that stat of 2 TDs in the red zone out of 7 trips, like, that's a pretty good defensive effort for the amount of yards that we had.
Yeah, but that's also on the defense. You got to get off.
Yeah.
At some point.
Yeah. Memes, what would you say? What if Aaron Glenn accepted a demotion and came back next year defensive coordinator?
And we got a head coach.
Yeah, that's for sure.
Come on back.
Virginia Tech did that. Got James Franklin, hired their, their former head coach as what, defense coordinator, right?
Yeah.
Yeah. I love that. Some guys just got to learn, like, it's okay to be a coordinator. Being a head coach is hard.
Now the Bears have Packers this week. We'll see in Lambeau.
Who's on?
Ooh, what's the spread going to Lambeau?
I mean, I think the Bears, I think the Bears are probably favorite.
3-point favorites.
I'm going to say, I'm going to say Bears -3.
I'm going to say Caleb comes back.
I'm going to say a pick 'em or 1, say 1.5. No. Yeah, 1.5.
Bears -2.5.
Oh, OK. And Big Cat, that's got to be America's Game of the Week, right? It's not.
We got demoted.
Bears-Packers.
We got demoted. It's a perfect demotion, too, because you can— both sides can point to each other like, oh, it's because Caleb's not playing. Oh, no, it's because the Packers fucking suck.
Packers stink.
Yeah, but I'm very excited about the Bears. Ben Johnson, he's, he's everything.
Like if they'd known that Case Keenum was going to play, they'd probably move that back to—
Yeah.
$425,000.
I honestly, I think they'll stick with Tyson Bagent. I really do.
I do. I think that they will too.
Because I also think like you need— Case Keenum is— was really good. Case Keenum's 38 years old. If, if God forbid something really bad happens and you need a quarterback for the rest of the year, it's probably going to have to be the younger guy.
Yeah. And also like Case Keenum can play and play very well when everything around him works. But like if something breaks down, right, he's not going to be the greatest guy to improvise his way out of it. Tyson Bagent at least has that ability.
He's got to get rid of the ball a little bit faster.
He found Rome.
Rome, Rome had an awesome one of his best days. So, all right. Before we do the next game, couple ads from you, PFT.

Okay. Packers 17, Bucs 14. Zach, are you going to win a football game this year?
As of right now, sample size says not a chance, but there's a lot of the league, you know, there's a lot of season left, man.
Yeah.
Keep things positive.
What was your— what was going through your head going into this game today? Were you like, hey, we actually could win this game? Because I mean, you were in this game.
You guys ran the football.
Yeah.
I felt pretty good going into it because like the Packers haven't showed us that much this season to be like, oh, they're a force to be reckoned with or anything. So yeah, let's, let's show up. Give the rookie quarterback a start first time in the in the league for a rookie to start the season.
Yeah, Jaylen Daniels.
Uh, Jaylen did throw 2 picks, but the passes he did make, there's a couple that looked good. A couple of them were like, oh damn, he's throwing some— he was whipping that thing a little bit. Yeah, yeah, he has some gas for sure. Uh, he really couldn't do too much because, I mean, honestly, the offensive play calling wasn't the best. Again, uninspirational is probably the word I would use. If we're talking about it, I really, really just couldn't get anything going, which is kind of a bummer. Yes, my thoughts going into the game were a lot better than my thoughts while they're playing out the game. Now the game is completed and we're 0-4. I don't really know what to think.
Kind of, are you at a similar place to what they were going into the game or you were more optimistic?
Oh, definitely more optimistic.
Because like maybe you just have a surprise guy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He wants to like prove himself, show like, hey, I can, I'm a professional quarterback. Let's get into it. Let's do this thing. He kind of did that, kind of didn't do that at the same time in a weird way. I don't know if that makes much sense, but yeah, that's kind of how I was feeling.
I think that makes a lot of sense. And I mean, your defense played well, took the ball away. You know, that like forced fumble, what, at the goal line to keep you in the game? Just couldn't drive the field at the end.
I don't— we couldn't drive anywhere.
You guys got to get also like, I feel like I've watched the same Bucs game 3 weeks in a row. In Tampa. It's, uh, it looks exactly the same.
It's kind of boring football. Yeah, it's really not that much fun to watch.
No, no, it's not really.
Even when, when Baker was playing and playing well last year, it was still pretty boring football. Just Baker made it exciting.
You get flashes. I'll hold on to flashes all day. Give us, give me a little something something every once in a while. I'm hooked. Now, I don't know, man.
Yeah. What is the Bucs identity? Right now, do they have an identity?
Currently, as it stands this season, identity would be like forgettable. Like, yeah, you know, someone you meet, somebody, they give you a number, you don't really save it.
Yeah.
Painful.
Yeah. Just a random number in, in your phone book. You have like in your text messages that you look back and you're like, who's this?
Couple of texts back and forth, but you don't really stick out.
Yeah.
Are you Is Todd Bowles gonna be the first head coach fired? I feel like he could.
There's a— I want to back him because he is the coach of the team. You want to see the team do well. I think there's a world where he does lose his job.
I think, and quickly.
And I think it would be— I'm not saying it. Some guys are saying it. If he does get fired, it would be deserving.
What would you say?
I would say you got to back your guys.
Got to— which guy?
Unofficially, I would be okay if maybe we looked to move on.
Because wouldn't that be bad? You'd be backing Jason Light if they fired Todd Bowles, right?
I'm down to back anybody else in the seat.
Right. That's so technically that'd be backing your guy.
Yeah, that survived.
Yeah. I— for the Packers, the Packers, like, they won this game, but they're also still kind of a mess. And they had another really bad injury. They've had bad injury luck. They've lost a player to season-ending injury 9 different times since November 2nd of last season, and 8 of them were starters. Today was Edgerrin Cooper, which sucks for them. And they have— the Packers lead the league in penalties, lead the league in drops, lead the league in fumbles, worst run game in the NFL, worst pass block rate in the NFL. They're a mess.
Mm-hmm.
But they did win the game. And they're now 2-2, and they have been at least .500 through first 4 games of a season every single year since 2007, which is actually now a record that breaks the record the Patriots had from 2002 to 2020.
Is this true that the, um, all 4 losses have been by a combined 20 points?
That's for the Bucs.
For the Bucs. Yeah. For the Bucs.
Oh yeah, the Bucs are close in every game. They covered a spread.
It's been one-score games.
They covered a spread.
There we go.
First time. In 12 tries, 13 tries.
So you're so close. Why, why didn't Todd Bowles kick that field goal? I know it was, it was going to be long. It was going to be what, like 63 yards?
Yes.
From Chase McLaughlin. Why did he, why, why didn't he? Because it was what, like 4th and 16 or something?
Chase McLaughlin's a good kicker.
Yeah.
That's not like an unimaginable thing. He'll hit those.
Because I feel like his kicking from 63, whatever, how many yards that was. Probably higher than the likelihood of converting that 4th down, right? Like 16 yards.
Oh, certainly. Definitely on the day.
Yeah. That's one thing that you could point out to Todd and be like, hey, Todd. Yeah. That's your call. Because he like, he's also the king of in postgame press conference just being like, we're going to fight. Yeah. What are you going to do different, Todd? We're going to fight. We're going to stick together.
He said that. I said, I can do more. I can always do more. We're going to fight. We're going to stick together. We're going to figure this thing out. And I'll lead them to that. It's my job.
He says like NPC quotes. Yeah, he just has general like copy paste. A coach might say this at one point.
Mm-hmm.
Also, Tristan Wirfs was asked about Todd Bowles' job security and he said no comment. Feel like that's not good. Feel like—
Yeah, no comment is a lot.
Feel like the comment should be, that's our coach.
Yeah.
No comment feels Bad.
Oh, here's a good Todd Bowles postgame quote. Our record shows what we are. We're 0-4. And until we acknowledge that and correct our own mistakes, it's going to keep happening. So have they, have they not acknowledged that previously?
I mean, you'd hope so, right? There's no way they're just finding out without, with all of us.
Yeah, but maybe it's just like they all know, but they've never, they haven't openly talked about it.
They don't want to. Oh, the conversation hasn't been started.
Yeah. It's like if you're in a bad relationship and you know that things are going poorly, poorly. You're fighting all the time. You just like sit for hours and you like, you don't even talk anymore. Don't go out to dinners. There's no spark. Both sides in that relationship know.
One of them might have made like a—
but you have to say, you have to say it sometimes.
One of them made a big mistake. The other one was forgiving. But now they're kind of— they go back to it all the time. Yeah, there's no, there's no getting back to what they once were.
They should talk about being 0-4 is what I'm getting at.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Did you see, by the way, that Matt LaFleur is getting the Tyler Dunn treatment right now. The guy who wrote the article about Caleb before the season, he now wrote an article about, about Matt LaFleur.
So was it good?
No, no. I just don't— listen, I'm not, I'm not questioning Tyler Dunn's— like, I don't know. He probably— he's a good writer. I don't know his process. I never will. Whenever someone has a piece that's just all anonymous sources, I'm like, this is bullshit. Because it's like you could get anyone to be anonymous source and be like, oh yeah, that guy, I hate him. And so you get people who worked here and just be like, oh yeah, let's do anonymous source. They trash everyone in this room like if they were anonymous. And I just think it's bullshit.
Over the years, Green Bay has been— they've fired like assistant coaches before. Yeah. And if you fire somebody who's not doing a good job, then they're going to do whatever they can to get back at that guy.
I just think, yeah, people should have to put their names behind that if you're just going to completely trash someone. So I I mean, we know Matt LaFleur a little bit. We've obviously had him on the show a few times. I think he's a—
You called him a pussy.
Yeah, I did. And he laughed about it. So I think he could probably take a joke. But I would have his— as much as it pains me to have a Packers head coach's back, I have his back in the fact that anonymous sources— because it happened to Caleb where it's just like— and I said the same thing when it happened to Caleb. I think it's bullshit. So I'm not going to like take, take the same article a year later and be like, haha, look. It's— no, it's anonymous sourcing is— I just hate that shit.
Something to keep an eye on. The LaFleur brothers have not won on the same day. Oh, and I know it's really early. It's still early into—
That's just the Packers lost week 1.
They lost week 1. They lost week 1. But just something to keep an eye on. Yeah, something to keep an eye on. I'm trying to figure out when they're going to win a game on the same day. It might not happen for a while.
This is going to be a massive game on Sunday, though, for For— it feels— it's weird to say, but it feels like it's kind of— it shifted, that the game feels significantly more important for the Packers in this iteration because of everything that happened last year, because of the heat that's on the Packers right now and Matt LaFleur. And Ben Johnson is just like, I'll just keep winning games with backup quarterbacks.
Yeah.
So it, it does feel different going into this game where like the Packers feels like they really need it.
They are going to be desperate. Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, next game. Uh, we have 2 quick ones in the early slate. Ravens 24, Titans 18. This game was essentially Lamar Jackson was about to 50-burger the Titans, then he got rolled up on in the first half and the Ravens held on and won but did not cover.
Uh, Lamar had like pretty much a perfect game in the first half too.
And Zay Flowers too.
He was dominant. So yeah, Lamar, did he end up 285 yards?
Uh, I think it was 222, but yeah, he was 285 total.
Derrick Henry had only 1 touchdown, which I have to raise my hand and say I was wrong about that. I thought that he would go off against the Titans, but he didn't need to. This game was over when Lamar got out. Yeah, 15 of 20.
This game was over before it started because Lamar going out, they still won.
15 of 20 for 222 yards, 2 touchdowns. I think he's probably going to end up being okay. Titans sucked. They were bad. Ravens, very good team, very impressive. There should be like not necessarily Comeback Player of the Year award, but like an award for a guy that all of a sudden got accidentally important at his job and did a good job.
Tyler Loop?
So no, I was going to say the guy that played center.
Oh.
Vega Ione.
Okay.
So he's, he's a guard. I think he might be a rookie, but the Ravens lost their first 2 centers. So I don't think he's ever played center before. He became a center this week and played a pretty decent game.
Oh, I was going to make the argument for Tyler Loop because last year could absolutely kill a kicker with the way the season ended.
Yeah.
And he's now gone. He, he hit a 64-yarder today, which is the record for M&T Bank Stadium, which also is crazy because it wasn't Justin Tucker who had the record previously. It was Matt Wright, I believe. So that was kind of weird, but 64 yards. And then remember last week when he hit the game winner against the Cowboys? So Tyler Loop— like, the Ravens just have a good kicker. I think that's just what's gonna happen there. It's, it's the, uh, Packers quarterbacks is the Ravens kickers.
Yeah.
Just going Justin Tucker to Tyler Loop. The Titans are so bad, and Cam Ward is now at the point— I mean, the press conference thing was crazy. where he was just like, well, like, I'm not going to wait for you guys. I don't know, dude. He's won 3 games. You got to— you got to wait.
I should probably wait.
The vibes feel really bad. Really, really bad. Saleh saying that he's got PTSD. Remember we talked about PTSD and like—
You see the first interception he threw today?
Yeah.
He's like, he still does the thing where he presses all the buttons.
Yeah. Carnell Tate looked good though.
Yeah, he did.
Carnell Tate had his like breakout But yeah, Cam Ward, I don't know, man.
He's been playing good. He's been getting open a lot. But it's just, they're very limited to what they can do on offense. Yeah.
And he, the press the button thing you're referring to is like basically Cam Ward's about to get sacked and he just throws the ball to anyone close to him.
Yeah.
That has the same jersey, but not in a way that a pass should be thrown. In a way, I kind of just almost like shoves He's basically like, you handle this problem.
In a way, I kind of respect the way that he plays. He's, he's never really been outside of college. He was great in college, but in his NFL career, he hasn't been a guy that's like out there physically dominating. And he's never been really in the zone, but he plays like a guy that's in the zone all the time and just expects, he expects good things to happen from all of his decisions. And I don't, I don't know how you achieve that mentality, but I think it's It's almost a little bit admirable.
Yeah.
It's like, hey, next one's going in.
Yeah.
Shoot or shoot.
Just keep throwing. But yeah, this was, this is a game that doesn't really— I mean, the Ravens are just better than the, than the Titans. The biggest part of this game was just, is Lamar Jackson going to be okay? Hopefully he is. I think it's probably an ankle sprain and just how long. I don't know. Like, if this was a playoff game, I would imagine he would have played in the second half. Yeah. Playing the Titans. They were up. 24-7 and they're like, we're good enough. And it was like Titans had a, had a drive at the end of the game to cover the spread. And I know it looks closer than they didn't get the onside kick. But yeah, the Ravens, it was, it was never a doubt the Ravens were going to win this game. All right. Giants 36, Cardinals 24. Jameis is back.
Lamar's day to day, by the way. Okay. Day to day right now.
Okay. Probably which that could mean forever.
Lamar's always day to day.
Yeah.
Jameis is back. 3 touchdowns, 2 interceptions. Hank.
Yeah.
Admit it. James is back.
I'll put my hand up.
You said he stunk.
I said he stunk. He played great today.
Yes.
And he said, I'm heating up and I'm starting to get better and better. Last week I was questioning if I can even throw. This week I got people talking about the Jameis Winston experience again. And he did the experience.
That's a fact.
3 touchdowns, 2 interceptions.
Hand up. I'm converted.
Most games with multiple pass touchdowns and multiple interceptions over the last 10 years. Josh Allen at number 5 with 11. Philip Rivers tied with 11. Baker Mayfield third or second, sorry, tied for second with Patrick Mahomes. Jameis Winston number 1. That's a pretty good list. Jameis Winston, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Phil Rivers, Josh Allen. Those are elite quarterbacks.
Multiple touchdowns, multiple interceptions, and a postgame quote. Referring to himself in the third person. That is the Jameis Winston hat trick.
Yeah.
And he did it again. He's fully back.
He's fully back.
I think, I think he needed to be pushed a little bit.
And the Giants are 3-1.
I think it did, did him some good to have 9-2.0 waiting in the wings behind him, pushing Jameis to be all that he can be. Also, they're playing against the Cardinals. And as we said on Friday's show, the Cardinals should not be favorites on the road against anybody in the NFL.
And you see Jacoby Brissett did the thing where he was awesome in like the beginning of the game. Yeah. Their offense looked awesome. Awesome. And then it just fell apart.
Yeah.
Also that Marvin Harrison scored too. Yeah.
Right off the bat. And then I don't think he did anything else after that.
Yeah.
The game-ending pick 6 is such a cool play. Oh yeah. Like you just get everybody celebrating at once.
Got to keep going.
Yeah. It's a great way to end the game. The vibes could not have been any better than they were. Was it, was it Banks?
Yes.
Yeah. Deontay Banks, 98-yard pick 6, 11 seconds left. That's the perfect way to end a football game.
Do we think that the Giants are good? They're 3-1. Top of the division. Malik Nabers is back. Like, he looked good today. Jameis can be— do you think the Giants are good, Hank?
No.
Okay.
It's really— we just were talking about how Jameis is playing.
We're going to find out.
When?
This weekend. By playing Commanders.
Yeah, they got to— if they don't win, they're not good.
They're not good. Yeah, it's pretty, pretty simple. Shocking. You know who's the Commanders are favored 3 points.
Yeah, they're not good.
That's crazy.
So Vegas does not think that the Giants are good.
Giants were underdogs to the Cardinals.
Yeah, they clearly don't think that they're good if they're, if they're home dogs to the Cardinals, which is crazy.
Well, I think that's also they think Jayden Daniels is playing. Yes.
So it is.
That would make sense. Commanders beat Super Bowl champs.
That's true.
But like, we don't know if the Commanders are good even when Jayden Daniels is playing. Jury's still out on that one.
Either way, 3-1 starts nice for the Giants. You have to—
Very nice. Yeah.
Arvell Reese looks like a dude.
They got— they got— they're not good, but they got good guys.
Yeah.
They got names.
Yeah.
Their defense. And they got guys on defense and offense. Oh yeah, absolutely.
Neighbors is, I think he's just going to be a guy that, that every time he hits the ground is going to be hurt, but he's going to just stay in the game and continue making amazing catches and being awesome. Because what do you have, like 120 yards, 112 yards today?
Yeah.
But it did feel like every time he got tackled, he laid on the ground. He's like, my shoulder really, really hurts, but I can't be a bitch. I can't be a bitch for Jameis.
One quote that I saw that you'd never want to see from your franchise, your first-round pick and your franchise running back. Jeremiah Love said after the game, this is probably going to be the longest year of my life. It's a tough one to like call your shot. I mean, I, I think he probably means it's going to be, you know, it's, it's the NFL. He's going to hit a rookie wall. This is the most games he's going to play. But still, to say that is very funny. He's right. Yeah. It's gonna be the longest year of my life.
Then the year after is a leap year. So that, that's then going to become the longest year. No, 2028.
Got it.
Yeah. So this is going to be a long year, but then he's going to be like, that was really long. But then the next year is going to be even longer.
I think he's talking about— I think he's talking about the year he's in, that it's going to be— yeah, this year, 2027, will not be that long.
This is going to be— it's going to be a long season for him.
Yeah. And the whole like going from playing college football to training for the draft to do all that shit.
But it might be— it might be a good thing that the Cardinals are going to find themselves in in some pretty deep holes because they're not going to— he's going to get a lot of touches in like the first quarters of games.
No, I think they're— I actually, I mean, he had 14 carries today. I think they're doing the right thing of not— they're trying not to like burn him out right away.
Right.
What happened with the ref, Trey McBride? There was a clip, the ref just saying to Trey McBride, fuck you, fuck you.
They were yelling at each other.
So Schefter said that they're investigating this. Are refs not allowed to say this?
I don't think that they're supposed to say it.
Supposed to and not allowed to are 2 different things. Supposed to. Yeah, sure, I get it. But are they not allowed to? Is this ref going to get—
My guess would be that they're not allowed to cuss at players.
I feel like refs should be able to, but I— but I— but similarly, they shouldn't be able to throw a flag when a player cusses at them.
Yeah, that's why they should wear body cams. You know, I want to hear the ref's side of it. Like if Trey McBride was yelling at him, hey, fuck you, ref.
Right. He should be able to say fuck you back.
I'd be OK with the ref saying fuck you, buddy.
Right.
Instead of throwing a flag, I'd actually prefer the ref to yell fuck you back than throwing a flag, right? It's kind of funny though. They had like the zoom in. Yeah, just ref say fuck you.
I'm sure refs say it all the time.
Yeah, we just, we just aren't going to give any leeway to a ref because fuck them.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Like, I've never heard a ref say that to Patrick Mahomes.
Yeah.
Interesting.
We can say, Max, we have one statement from Resident Colton fan or Cardinals fan Colton. He said done with Jacoby Brissett. Let's just see what Carson Beck is.
I agree.
Sure.
Jacoby Brissett is the same guy every single game. You're going to have like 1 or 2 drives that look awesome and then it's—
that's it.
So figure out. Yeah, you might as well. There's no reason. Jacoby Brissett is not the future. Go throw Carson Beck out there. See what you got and then get back in the draft.
They got some nice pieces though.
But just do it.
I think Micah Wilson, not a bad player. Pretty good player. Yeah. I think Trey McBride, awesome player. Jeremiah Love, probably going to be an awesome player.
But so then have Carson Beck run the offense.
See what you got.
Yeah.
Yeah. All right.
Afternoon games, Vikings 15, Dolphins 10. The Dolphins did cover. Congratulations to the Dolphins for doing that. The Dolphins have not scored more than 13 points in any of their games. Also, the last 2 teams— so there's 3 teams since 2000 to go through 4 games without scoring 13 points. The teams are the 2004 Dolphins, the 2019 Dolphins, and the 2026 Dolphins. That's impressive.
That's so sad.
As a franchise.
That's really sad.
They—
I'll say this. The Dolphins played better defensively than they have. They were getting after Kyler Murray and Jacob Rodriguez is awesome. He's a fucking— I think he had 18 tackles. He played 78 total defensive snaps, 18 total tackles, 9 solo tackles, 9 stops. He's, he's a beast. Dolphins are just not a fun watch.
And Vikings.
Their defense is awesome. Their offense still kind of sucks.
Their offense does suck. Yeah, 5 field goals today. And since week 1, their kicker, Will Reichard— is that how you say it? Reichard? Reichard? He has outscored their offense. I think it's like 32 to 6 in weeks 2, 3, and 4. And then their special teams has 6 points as well. Their special teams and their kicker are both at least tied, if not beating their offense in terms of points scored. The list of every team that started 4-0 that failed to score an offensive touchdown in 2 of the games. It's the 1922 Chicago Cardinals.
Okay.
1923 Chicago Cardinals.
Wow.
1934 Detroit Lions and the 2026 Minnesota Vikings.
That's crazy.
So the offense is not good. No, we can say now it's not good.
They got over 250 yards. That, that did happen today. And their, their yardage differential gets a boost because their defense suffocated the Dolphins. But yeah, I don't— it's a tough one. Kyler kind of got a little better as the game went on, like finding TJ Hockenson, who had 13 catches. I just don't know if you're a Vikings fan, what are you doing watching this right now? Are you— I guess What you're saying to yourself is just our defense is elite. Can Kyler Murray like at some point round into shape here? And Justin Jefferson obviously wasn't playing, which is a massive deal. But if Kyler Murray can, can get comfortable in KOC's offense, this could be a really good team. It's just right now their offense is so bad.
It could be. It's— you remember that year that they had the negative point differential? Yeah.
When they called them frauds and people got mad at us.
People got mad. I think that— I think this year has more promise. I—
yeah, someone actually asked me when I did my Fantasy Corner this morning, they're like, are the Vikings frauds? And I said, no, they're not frauds. They're exact— everyone knows what the Vikings are right now. They are an elite, elite defense and a really broken offense. And if you can fix the offense, that's a good team.
Yeah, like they have—
they have something that they do that is really, really good, which is Like that, that's important. If you have one, if at least you have one thing that you can fall back on, this is our identity of our team that we're going to just dominate you defensively. That's a really big step. It's just the offense has just been a mess.
Yeah. So this is, it's something that I think can be fixed because you have one of the best coaches in the NFL to fix it.
Do we? Do they?
I think so.
Yeah.
I would say so with KOC.
I don't know.
I would put him in like the top 10 in terms of offensive coaches. So yeah, you can fix it. Also slightly misleading, just a little bit misleading because TJ Hockenson went down at the 1-yard line.
Yeah, true.
At the very last second.
That's go-down culture.
Go-down culture. This game is go-down culture, which it sucked for those of us that had bet on the Vikings.
Yeah, no, you're right. That should have been a touchdown.
We can, we can say that Will Reichard's, he's only outscoring the offense 32 to 12. That's really more like it.
And that was what I said, like, I— if this game specifically, if you're a Vikings fan, it did look like Kyler got more comfortable as the game went along. So can he, can he build off that next week?
Yeah, I don't, I don't think Kyler played poorly today at all, and I think that there's room for, for growth with him too.
Um, what else do I have? Oh, the best—
the real—
if you miss this game, the best way I would sum it up Is if you look at the 4th quarter drive charts. So the 4th quarter drive charts go as such. Minnesota, 15 plays, 60 yards, 8 minutes and 30 seconds. I think they got a field goal off that. Miami, 3 plays, 2 yards, 1 minute. Minnesota, 11 plays, 74 yards, 5 minutes and 41 seconds. So Miami had 3 offensive snaps in the 4th quarter. for, and they had the ball for 1 minute. That was kind of how this game went where they just, Ollie Gordon looked good. Say that.
He did. He's a big dude.
Way to go, Ollie Gordon.
Shout out to Malik Willis, who's just, he's just doing what he does.
He's just doing it. He's just 9 for 17 for 85 yards.
Good. You know what? Great friend move by Halfley to be like, I'm going down to Florida. They've got this plan. Need to lose a bunch of games, get a good draft pick. I like that quarterback we had in Green Bay. He's a good dude. We'll sign him for what, $40 million? He'll get paid like a starter. He'll, he'll follow through on the assignment. That's just a good friend. Yeah, that's a good friend move by Coach Eflin.
I'd agree. I'd agree. That's a very good friend move. 9 for 17 is a very funny stat line. We're getting a Josh Rosen turn.
9 for 17 with what, 85 yards?
That's Josh Rosen.
That's that one.
Okay. Next game. This one was also a little bit of a slog. 49ers 24, Broncos 14. What, 3-3 at half? Neither offense could do anything. And then basically everyone important on the 49ers showed up. Kittle's touchdown run, which was awesome. George Kittle tore his Achilles 9 months ago. 9 months ago.
He was—
he has 4 touchdowns on the year. He had a 56-yard touchdown where he ran away from everyone.
It's—
he's a beast. He's a freak. And the Niners, uh, like, defense was really good today. I don't know what's going on with the Broncos offense. I feel like Sean Payton, you gotta just take the play calling back, right? I think he's PFT.
I think things can get a little more ugly than this because I think it's also gotten to the point where— so Sean Payton looks up to Bill Parcells like, like pretty much like a football dad.
Okay.
And I think what he learned from Parcells was like how to delegate, how to find somebody that would be almost like an heir apparent, because Bill Parcells did mentor a lot of people, a lot of coaches. I think Sean Payton sees like the final part of his legacy developing a coaching tree under himself.
I don't get it.
And so he wants to do, he wants to do right by some of the guys that are coaching with him right now.
I don't get it.
I think it has to get worse before he steps back in.
The—
he could even— a great move would be just secretly taking it back.
I, I feel like he kind of did for a minute there, maybe in the second half, because in the first half—
But that's also just, it's impossible to tell with Bo Nix, right? Like if the play gets that much better in the second half, is it because Sean Payton secretly took back play calling or is it because Bo Nix exists and that's how he plays.
They're scoring 3.25 points in the first half through 4 games. I think they've been shut out twice in the first half. Bo Nix, just, I, I don't know what happens. He just doesn't. He'll have just long stretches. And this game was like basically the entire game up until like the 2-minute warning. He just, there's no shots downfield. There's just no shots downfield whatsoever. I feel like that's just not Sean Payton would be a little bit more aggressive.
And I don't know.
Yeah, I just don't—
I don't know.
Davis Webb, he was asked about it, Sean Payton, and he said it's too early to consider. It's a fair question. I appreciate it. It's tough to discuss any of that right now. That doesn't feel great. No, it's a fair question.
I think it is a fair question.
It's 100% a fair question. Niners, by the way, are just— they're just good. They keep getting injured and they're good. Like, their defense limits— has allowed the most or least explosives through 4 games. So they just don't give anyone like 10, 20-yard plays, which—
Fred Warner.
Yeah, been awesome. Their offense was not great today, but another day with no sacks on Bo Nix. And Bo Nix through 4 games, 1,000 yards, 11 touchdowns, 1 interception. He's probably the MVP through 4 games.
Brock Purdy.
Brock Purdy.
Sorry.
Sorry. No sacks. And yeah, 1 flag today. I didn't, I didn't realize this stat till I saw it after the game. Kyle Shanahan has now coached more games for the 49ers than Walsh ever did. Wow.
That is crazy.
He overtook him on the list, but I guess they played fewer games a season, but Kyle's been there for a very long time. And I guess Walsh leaving after him, we kind of forgot that they were just kind of like new coach every couple of years for a while.
Yeah.
For the 49ers. But yeah, Kyle Shanahan is like, he is firmly established as like one of the old dudes, like the old guard in the NFL now.
Now.
Yeah, he's not a young whiz kid anymore.
No.
49ers are good. I don't know what to do with the Broncos. Does anyone know what to do with Broncos? Do you guys like Bo Nix? Anyone in the booth?
No.
Guys shaking his head no.
Broncos are boring.
Dottington.
Dottington Bones.
Yeah, I would say should be good. Oh, Patrick Surtain got hurt today, which is a problem.
Yeah. Non-contact injury. I saw one of the doctors online say muscle strain.
Okay.
So hopefully it's not It's not anything too bad, but it looked really bad at the time.
Yeah.
I would take— if NFL teams had quarterback roles like Major League Baseball bullpens, I would take Bo as my closer. He's a closer, but he's not a guy that's going to go out and give you— he's not going to give you 7 innings.
No.
Also, Jalen Waddle stinks.
Oh, okay.
You agree, Hank?
I do.
Yeah. Why?
Because he stinks. He never—
I don't know.
I bet on him a couple of times.
OK, OK. We're getting personal vendetta. Yeah, I, I'm all for that, by the way. I'm number one guy. If someone fucks me over, I'm just like, that guy sucks forever.
I, I know he did score a touchdown, but 35 yards, you got to get— you got to get more.
They don't take shots downfield.
Then why get Jaylen Waddle?
I know.
That's what I'm saying. He hasn't been in the mix at all.
That's what I— yeah, that's They spent all of this draft capital to go get him and they don't use him.
He told his wife to draft him in fantasy.
Yeah, it's crazy. I'm agreeing with you. I think it's fucking nuts. The Broncos piss me off. They should be better.
It's funny to think about, but Sean Payton is probably being harder on Davis Webb because his wife drafted Waddle in fantasy.
Hand up. I didn't know that he went for 148.
What the fuck are you doing?
Yeah, he did go off.
I didn't know he went off a week.
Yeah, no, that was when they started that second half. That was what the— when the Broncos' second half against the Jags was like, holy shit, this is the team.
You're thinking about Monday night.
Yeah, the Rams game really pissed me off with him. And then he's— and he's nothing. I'm not— I'm not counting the Jags game.
Okay.
If you ask me, not counting.
We don't count that.
Niners is just really good. I thought this was a game that the Niners would maybe Struggle because the Broncos defense is, is good. And they, I, they, they did, they didn't look like they looked against the Cardinals and the Dolphins. But next weekend, Seahawks is gonna be awesome.
It's gonna be a great game.
Great game.
Can't wait to see it.
Okay. Let's do a couple more ads and then we will finish the last 2 games and then we'll do who's back.

Okay, Seahawks 30, Chargers 23. Seahawks got their groove back. Chargers are the most broken team in the NFL.
The, uh, the game started in one of the most hilarious fashions possible.
First time ever.
First time ever it's happened. Justin Herbert goes out there and throws a pick. I would say it's like a pick that a rookie quarterback would throw, but that would be doing a disservice to most rookie quarterbacks. This was one of the worst interceptions I've ever seen. It was one of those where it was like right at a linebacker. But if the linebacker wasn't there, there was a defensive back that was standing in front of the receiver that was going to have an easy, even easier interception than the linebacker did. And then Sam Darnold gets the ball and throws it right back.
And the Sam Darnold's was funny in its own way because Sam Darnold threw a pick where he actually had a lot of time. And at the end, he was just like, you know what, here, you take it and gave it to the Chargers.
Yeah.
Pickagami.
Yeah.
Never happened. First, first offensive First 2 offensive snaps of the game, pick, pick. It was so fucking funny. And yeah, I— good for the Seahawks. I'll start with them. They, uh, Amon-Ra looks all the way back. He was an absolute beast. The score is a little misleading. It was 30-13, uh, and then the Chargers, which credit to them, fought back, got back in the game. The Seahawks running backs or running game was good even though they missed their, their top 2 running backs in Charbonnet and J'Darian Price. So it feels like Seahawks are going to be just fine. Like, I don't really know what else to say.
Penalties sucked.
Penalties sucked. Yeah. 30 penalties for 280 yards. The Chargers are the most broken team. They haven't— yet again, they went into a game, they're 0-4. Derwin James hurt, didn't play. Slater got hurt. Joe Alt got hurt. Ladd got hurt. They all left the game.
I—
they muffed punts. They have penalties. I don't know what to say. Our guy Shane was watching the game while playing. He was, he was building a Minecraft village. I was like, what are you doing, dude? He's like, this is my way that I can cope because he's just so down bad.
Yeah, they're down bad. Did you see one of the most bizarre postgame press conferences when they talked to Harbaugh about what he's thinking with the offense and McDonald?
No.
Or McDaniel.
What do you say?
Can we pull up the clip? Because I can't, I can't do it justice. He kind of, he gets unplugged and kind of rebooted in the middle of the answer.
By the way, Max, I think you— no one has been, no one has been proven more correct than Max Salente's big stupid pick guy take.
Yeah.
I mean, he also got his ass kicked today.
Yeah, he did.
He's a big stupid pick guy. He's a big stupid pick guy. He makes some cool throws, but at the expense of some big stupid picks and a lot of big stupid—
Right.
You don't give big stupid pick awards to like quarterbacks that just stink, like the worst quarterbacks in the league. You would never say that, right? You'd just be like, this guy sucks.
Yeah. Yes, correct.
Yeah.
But a guy like Herbert, big stupid pick guy.
I'm trying to think who, like, Nathan, Nathan, although Nathan Peterman's big.
No, but he's just a—
that's just Because he's a funny, maybe a funny stupid pick guy.
Yeah. Herbert, by the way, is the first Chargers quarterback to throw 6 picks and have 10 or more sacks through 4 games since Ryan Leaf. That's not good to be in the same conversation.
Okay.
You want me to play this?
Yeah.
Play about Mike McDaniel's job security. And I don't know what happened here, but this is—
this is going to kill Harbaugh.
It does.
I'm seeing his face right now.
He's, he's, Well, what's got to kill him is he just lost to his own son.
I know.
His—
and he lost the Brown Jug.
Yeah.
Okay, go ahead. Uh, like our players like, and we have skilled coaches and we're going to keep, keep growing. That's No, no, no. His job is not in jeopardy. Oh, man. Yeah, he just got lost.
He got lost and just kind of had to be woken back up.
This game is going to kill him.
Well, that was like he wanted to say something.
Yeah.
His, his coach, like, don't be smart PR.
Yeah.
Kicked in and he short-circuited.
Yeah.
Beams, you sit next to Shane or sit one away from him. What was it like watching the game with him?
I personally had to will the Chargers back into the game because he just didn't give a fuck.
He's playing Minecraft.
And Memes had the over like 4 times.
I was just like, come on, Chargers, Chargers, Chargers. He was like, it doesn't matter.
So that's— it's very mean what you did, Memes. No, like, he was perfectly fine. I want to see people at the game.
Yeah, but I want to see people root for their teams.
Yeah.
And obviously nothing matters. Right.
Like, oh, that's a good quote. Nothing does matter.
Nothing does matter. Who gives a fuck?
You're right. Like, what are we even doing right now?
Well, this matters.
Yeah, I know. But we're talking about— yeah, like, what does this matter?
Sports don't matter.
They don't matter.
They do not matter.
Sports matter so much.
No, but, but, but Memes is correct. They do matter so much, but they don't.
No, they matter. But sometimes nothing matters. Like the Chargers. Don't matter.
We're all going to die. Nothing matters.
I'll say sports matter. They matter a lot. The NFL matters a lot, but it doesn't— the Chargers don't really matter.
Well, the concept of sport matters, right? No, no.
You could say sports matter, but like when you actually look at it, you're like, none of this matters. And that's where Shane is at right now, which we need to get him out of that.
Yeah, I kept saying, who's got it better than us? He was just like, everybody.
I felt so bad for him because I— the Chargers had this comeback and I was like, get Shane in here, get Shane in here. He came into the gambling cave. He could— he is— his ass hit the seat as Justin Herbert was getting strip sacked. And we're like, all right, Shane, we don't need you anymore. He was like, all right.
He got strip sacked by a former Charger in Wosu. He was in the building.
He couldn't even sit his ass down. He's just like, all right, get out of here. You're done. Come on, Shane. Where do you want me?
Right there.
Right there. Right there.
Sit down.
All right. That's how long you—
That was mean that I hit him with the all right, you can leave.
I'll say it.
I'll say they're so broken, man.
But he could have— he— it was— it was funny.
It was—
it was like a trampoline that, like, he sat down and just got Went right back.
I don't know what else they can do. It's, it's, it's bad. Just, they're, they're fully— they're just a disaster of a team.
They're dysfunctional. They're bad. Herbert's getting killed. He doesn't look like he's having fun. He's throwing big stupid picks. Maybe they'll beat the Broncos.
But in a way, that's what—
Oh, it's funny.
It's even funny watching without sound. He—
it's—
he can't barely get his ass down. He doesn't even get it down.
It just popped right down.
All right.
See ya.
Maybe they could beat the Broncos.
I think without Patrick Surtain, I think it's possible. But I mean, it's—
are they going to start trading guys? I want Khalil Mack back.
That's what I was going to say.
Yeah, I want—
you think they should?
Bad.
Send him to a playoff team. And that's perfect. You know, they have Adam Gase on their staff.
Yeah, I saw him. I did a jump scare when I saw him on the sideline. I was like, whoa, how'd that happen?
What a dumb fucking decision.
I just don't— they're never going to be healthy enough.
They're just such a— I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I thought I was on mute.
What are you doing?
I'm looking for more angles of the Shane— of the Shane sit.
Oh, man. Yeah, I don't, I don't know what to say for Shane, for Chargers fans. I'm sorry. Oh yeah, I apologize.
It was— I don't think that cuts it anymore. I think they know, they know everything. Chargers fans know everything that we're saying about them right now. Yeah, you can't tell a Chargers fan anything.
Play it now.
Oh, it's also so funny. Hank just immediately takes a seat.
Oh man. Well, Hank got up. I think you're watching the clip that restarted the clip.
Oh, I thought you wanted me to watch it.
No, no.
Right there.
Right there.
Right there. Oh, you want me to watch a different—
no, different clip. Look at him.
Hank right back in.
Oh, that was Hank right back in. That's perfect. Oh, man. All right.
They had corgi races at halftime. That's the corgi race. No, Banana dominated.
Okay.
And Banana did the Usain Bolt. where it like gets out to a lead and then turns its head around and like smiles at him as it sprints. But it watches Corgi.
I feel— oh, that was back. Oh, that's awesome.
Yeah. Great performance by Banana.
Great performance. Corgi owners, are they—
They're cat adjacent.
Yeah, I was going to say, yeah, they're crazy cat lady adjacent for sure. There are certain dogs. It's like you I guess bulldog is similar to bulldogs. Not— they're not like corgis, but like there are certain dog breeds where it's like you're only this dog breed.
Yeah. Corgi would be one of those.
Yeah.
Doesn't the Queen of England—
don't—
don't—
they might have the royal family. I think they have a shitload of corgis.
Yeah.
But yeah, they're kind of like— I like corgis.
You know, they're cute.
They're like little fluffy butts. Very, very cute dogs. I mean, yeah.
Like How did they get so short?
A lot of inbreeding.
Yeah.
Which is where the royal family comes in.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because they're real short.
Yeah.
They're real stumpy guys.
Big bodies.
What are they? What are they a mix of?
Like dwarves? The core and the gi? I don't know.
Okay.
I don't know what they are. Some sort of hound, maybe.
I have no idea. It would be awesome if we had the guy who has Google sitting right in front Look it up for us real quick. But that's—
What do you mean? They're just corgis.
No, no, but they're obviously a mix of 2 different dogs. Or maybe, you know what I'm thinking of?
Confirmed.
Boom.
How about that?
No, you know what I'm thinking of? I didn't have to look that up. All right. Good job, Zach. Good job, Max.
Max was right. I didn't even need to look it up.
There's— I saw a husky corgi mix. That was cool.
Yeah. A husky corgi mix is a mix of a husky and a corgi.
Can you look that up? I know. I wanted—
So how is that the same fucking thing?
I know, dude. I fucking know. I was wrong.
Yeah, there you go.
Husky corgi mix is kind of fucked up. You misspelled husky. That's cool. That's a cool dog. Husky corgis?
Those are very cool.
Yeah.
So they are—
my bad, man.
Cardigan Welsh corgi, over 3,000 years old. That was a Celtic tribe that brought their ancestors to Wales. So their ancestors before them were probably just like short cattle herding dogs.
Got it.
I thought it was just— I'm so stupid. I thought it was like a short dog and a big dog mixed and the short dog won out.
I'm in on a husky corgi.
I know they're kind of cool.
I would, I would love husky corgis.
They're kind of cool. Can you mix a corgi with anything? Look for bulldog corgi.
I'm sure you could. Yeah.
No, I don't like that.
The idea that you don't know, you didn't know what a husky corgi was until I said it.
Yeah, that's fair.
Cor means dwarf.
Oh, hold on. Corgi is cool. That's a cool dog.
Yeah, that's a good-looking dog.
What about golden retriever corgi? See how many weird corgis you can make. I bet you this is a really good-looking dog. That's a good-looking dog. I mean, yeah, that's a good-looking dog.
Looks like a mutt.
So maybe I, maybe I don't like corgis. I like blue Healer Corgi. What?
A what?
Blue Heeler Corgi. What's a—
I don't even know.
It's like a cattle dog.
It's a cattle dog.
Yeah. Blue Heeler.
Dude, Blue Heelers are awesome dogs.
Oh yeah. No, this is cool.
Blue Heelers are awesome.
Blue Heeler Corgi, I bet would make a fantastic combo.
But you also— Blue Heelers, it's messed up to own a Blue Heeler with an apartment. Those dogs need to run.
That's a good looking dog.
That's good looking. I mean, I think Husky Corgi won. And golden retriever corgi too.
Yeah.
Blue heeler corgi.
Thoughts on a massive corgi? What? Tibet massive corgi?
Does that work like with the parts?
Oh shit, I might be in on Dalmatian corgis.
Oh, is that German Shepherd corgi?
That's funny. That's awesome that they made—
whoa.
Yeah, that's a cool dog, dude. A Dalmatian corgi.
Look at the first picture.
That's cute.
I'm in on this, man.
You could just mix corgis with anything and make awesome dogs. I don't— again, I'm not a big corgi guy, but I think when you mix them, I'm in.
Can you do— can you do basset hound corgi?
Oh, that's probably going to be— that's probably too good of a dog.
Droopy.
Yeah.
Let's see.
Please adopt, don't shop.
That's a cute looking dog. That's a cute looking dog.
Cute looking dog.
Those are the best.
They really are the best.
Hank hates dogs.
He does.
He hates dogs. Max hates dogs too.
No, Hank doesn't. Max has a dog.
You posted a picture of your dogs that looked like it was being held hostage.
Yeah, she was stressed about the Phillies game.
Is that because you were yelling at her?
With you? Yeah.
Oh, it was before the Phillies game.
What did— what did Shane just send?
She was stressed going in. She knew how big the game was.
Yeah, she's a fan. She was wearing— she was wearing Phillies gear, stressed.
It was hard.
It was hard because I was trying to get a picture of her with— so you could see the Phillies. And to get that, you could only get it— I could only get a side-eye picture of her.
Did Shane just send us a picture of Jeremiah Smith in a Chargers uniform? Is that what it's all for? Is that what he's talking about?
Yeah.
He didn't Photoshop the helmet. The helmet's 19. The jersey's 4.
Jeremiah Smith already said he wants to go to New York.
Everyone's trying to get Jeremiah Smith.
But he said he wants to go to New York.
He's so fucking good.
Did you see which team?
He wants to go to New York.
That also does not— is not how the NFL draft works. Actually, sometimes it is.
Draft in New York?
No, he's talking about the Heisman. But he said, I want to go to New York, talking about that.
Oh, got it.
He wants to go to New York.
Got it.
He loves New York. Loves it.
Geno Smith is his cousin.
I Love New York was a great show. All right. Chiefs 30, Raiders 27 finishes off this. I'm impressed with the Raiders. They were in this fucking game. And if it weren't for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense just shot like big plays, they had 235 of their 400 total yards were just big plays, were just 5 plays that went for 20-plus. They had the Kenneth Walker 76-yard run. The Tyquan Thornton 55-yard pass, who then he got hurt and that looks like he's gonna be out for a while. They're probably gonna re-sign Tyreek Hill. Uh, I was impressed with the Raiders. The only thing I wasn't impressed with, Clint Kubiak. Like, what do we think about him taking points off the board?
Uh, didn't have as much of a problem as I did with the halftime interview. Yeah, where he says, we're winning, we're going to win the game. You can't say that.
Well, I think he's trying to change the culture.
You still can't say that.
You can't say—
I know. That's why. But that's probably why he took the points off the board too. He's like, I'm— we're going to— we're going to beat the Chiefs. We're going to take it to the Chiefs.
I think he was probably thinking to himself like, well, my mouth wrote a big check.
Yeah.
Now I got to try to cash it.
I think the Chiefs— I mean, the Raiders, like, they were in this game. They were the Chiefs' big play. Kenneth Walker is so fucking good.
He's great. It's like he's got 537 yards through 4 games. That is number 1 over the last 10 years. Number 2, Derrick Henry in 2021 when he got off that, the crazy tractorcito start. Yeah. 510 yards. Kenneth Walker, 537 over 4 games. He is, I think he's definitely proven that he was better than replacement running back.
Yeah.
Do you think John Schneider is like, shit, I fucked that up?
Probably. But, but also, I mean, Chiefs did pay him a lot of money.
Yeah.
Definitely. And I think ideally they would have liked to keep him.
Yeah.
There's got to be like a little bit of regret there.
Yeah.
But this was— yeah, the Chiefs had big plays when it mattered. And the Raiders— the Raiders are pretty funny that they're basically like building the whole plane out of tight ends. They just had— they have 3 tight ends and they just throw them the ball. They had 16 catches, 200 yards, 2 touchdowns between the 3 tight ends.
Yeah.
Kind of like it.
Who is the one guy that hasn't— Ian Thomas.
Ian Thomas.
Yeah. Ian Thomas hasn't caught a pass since what, 2021?
He caught 2 and a touchdown today.
Yeah. Or he hasn't caught a touchdown pass since 2021. And today they were just like, we're going to build. Yeah, we're going to, we're going to hit Ian Thomas in the red zone.
Yeah.
And yeah, the Raiders run a very, very fun offense. It's creative, which is something it's, it's kind of shocking to see.
Right.
But with Kirk Cousins playing like Kirk Cousins always plays. Yeah, they can be, they can be a decent team this year for sure.
Yeah.
They look— and you know what? It's not just they're, you know, competing and they're winning some football games. They're actually a fun team to watch. I've moved the Raiders into the fun team to watch category.
I agree. And the Chiefs are just the Chiefs. They're going to— they're going to get the 1 seed. They're just going to keep rattling off wins.
Yeah. When is— when is Tyreek Hill going to be ready?
I don't know. It's a good question.
I don't know. But yeah, it's going to happen.
Yeah. They said they were— they were reaching out to him before that injury, but they had— they had Rashee Rice. Rashee Rice, okay.
Hamstring.
He's got a hamstring. And then Tyquan Thornton's definitely out for a while. That was a compound fracture.
I mean, that was also— that was adrenaline being an incredible drug because he caught the pass, got tackled, and then he stood up to celebrate. And then as he put weight on the foot, he looked down and he was like, oh, fuck, that is pointing backwards. Yes, I better— I better sit down for a second.
Yes. Yes, that was— that's— that was bad. That was bad. OK, I got a question for you guys.
Max, I was going to—
I was going to ask, what do you think the line is for Raiders at Patriots tomorrow— next week? Because I think that's a very interesting game.
Oh, Raiders at Patriots. So the Raiders beat the Patriots.
Well, let me do—
let's do—
let's do the Roback question. RHOback.com, promo code TAKE, 20% off first purchase. Q-Zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, rowback.com. Promo code TAKEROWBACK has the best gear out there. Whose line is it anyway, Hank? Raiders-Patriots.
I already looked it up.
Okay. That was really good of you. Honesty. I'm going to say Patriots minus 3.5.
I'm going to say 2.5.
I'll take 3 on the dot.
I'll take 3.5.
3.5. OK.
Good pick. Yeah.
I think, I think that could be a very good game.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's a letdown game. Trap game.
What?
You probably wish that the Raiders had won against the Chiefs.
Yeah.
And you wish you had lost against the Bills.
Yeah.
In order to win this game. Yes.
Mm-hmm.
Overarching, no.
Who's the trap game for?
Patriots. Patriots, because they're gonna be riding high.
We play the Jets the week after.
Right.
So it's a look-ahead spot.
Look, that's the trap game, pussy.
Yeah, pussy.
Or are the Patriots looking ahead to the Jets? Are you overlooking the Raiders because of this?
Yeah, I think it's the Raiders. I think they just— they overlooked them last year. They're probably going to overlook them. It's— it's—
I'm—
It's gonna be a tough game.
The Raiders are good.
I know. Yeah, very good.
Kirk Cousins.
Kirk Cousins feels like he's less of a dumb, big, dumb, stupid pick guy than he used to be. I kept waiting for it and he just— yeah, he's a little more controlled, has better command of the offense.
I mean, I think the knock against Kirk Cousins was usually that he was just— he was too safe with the ball sometimes.
But then late in the games, I feel like he would just give it up.
What, uh, oh, we should talk about the night game. Bryce Young is awesome. That was an incredible game from Bryce Young. He would like—
And Ted.
Yeah, but like Bryce Young from the beginning of the game, it was like he is feeling it. He's on fire. He, he's fun to watch. He's like, does he lead the league, the, the league in yards? I think he does.
You know what I, I was seeing from him, especially in that first half? is somehow Canales over the last 2 years has gotten Bryce Young to stop like being afraid in the pocket. Like he took a few hits as he was throwing the ball, like some nasty hits that were coming in. And he's just like unbothered, just like confidently stepping forward, throwing the pass, getting hit. And like he— that going from a guy that had enormous amounts of like being shell-shocked by getting hit repeatedly, that's a very tough thing to get a quarterback to just forget.
Yeah.
and get back to like throwing with confidence in the pocket.
Yeah.
And somehow they've managed to do it with Bryce Young.
Yeah. He, uh, yeah, like his ability, like he slides and moves up, steps up.
Yeah.
So, you know, each side. But yeah, Tett was awesome. I mean, Jalen Coker was out and their offense did not miss a beat. They, the Panthers have like a nice— they're missing guys in their secondary. They have a nice young team that looks— it was fun. The jerseys were awesome. Big night for the Panthers. Bryce Young is— he's good, man. He's like really good. I said it on Friday. I rode the ladder and I was rooting for him. He's, he's fun to watch.
And I—
the Lions, I can't really judge the Lions until their defense gets healthy. So because everyone's going to shred them. And that's not saying Bryce Young's not like— Bryce Young is good, but a good quarterback will shred them.
Are we worried that the Lions just They're not a good football team and they won't be a good football team.
I think they can be a good football team. Right now they might not be because they—
so they beat the Saints, but they almost gave that one up to Suckster. And then they beat the Jets as well, but they only beat the Jets by 7 points.
Yeah, I think so.
And the Jets were like What memes?
I'm just looking.
Did you think— did you get the impression that the Lions were a good team when they played the Jets?
Offense, very good.
Yeah.
Their defense needs to get healthy. They're a problem right now. Bryce Young is leading the league in passing yards through 4 weeks.
Yeah. Geno had 320 against them too.
Yeah.
The Shuckster hasn't gone yet.
Shuckster has not gone. Reminder, get your Shuck Ladders in.
He needs like 3, 350 to take the lead back.
Shuck in primetime is going to rock. Do you, do you, are we a little nervous that like our, you know, the band you've been seeing in the basement is about to go? Like if he, if the Shuck, if the Shuckster goes off on Monday Night Football, people are going to be talking.
Troy's going to fall in love with it.
They're going to be talking about Shuck.
Here's the thing that I've learned about the Shuckster. in the, in the many, many snaps that I've watched from him. He's a little bit of a gunslinger.
Yeah.
So he may throw a couple, you know, you know, don't get them all. That's not great.
Stupid picks.
I didn't say that. Yeah. Balls that don't look great.
Yeah.
But then he's going to sling it, sling it. So you just got to— you can't be defeated when you see the throws that don't look so good.
Yeah.
Because the good throws are coming.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
That's my That's my warning for, in fact, the world of what they're about to see with the Shuckster.
I would even say the worse the throws look at the start, the more you know it's coming.
Yeah. Oh yeah.
It's coming.
That means it's coming.
That means he's just like holding down the button that's building up the energy for the big throws that are coming.
Yeah.
The supernova throws.
Yeah. He's, he's, he's using all of his energy so he can't be expected to go out there in the first quarter and, and look like primetime Shuck. But yeah, the worse the pick is in the first quarter, that just means that's the, that's the better his third quarter is going to be.
Agreed.
I'm so ready for Troy Aikman. He's going to fall in love with him. Joe Buck is going to come himself.
It's going to be fucking awesome. It's going to be awesome.
It's going to be the stickiest booth. The shuckster.

Keep it twisted with Twisted Tea. I'm gonna have to do that in Madison at some point. The Badgers rolling. Hank, your Who's Back of the Week?
Who's Back of the Week is Dome.
Yeah.
Shout out Dome.
Talk about Milwaukee Brewers Dome.
That too. Oh, the— yeah, the Brewers pods. Pods got robbed game 1.
Did they?
Yeah.
We sure that was a home run?
Yeah.
How'd they get robbed?
I—
so explain it to people.
The Padres hit a fly ball that hit the dome, top of the, top of the roof.
Either the ceiling or one of the support cables. Yeah. Yeah.
Came down and it was caught and it was a 3-2 game with one guy on. In the, in the top of the 9th, one out, Ty France hit a ball that some saying would have gone out, hit a cable, got caught.
And I'm firmly of the belief the exit velo and like the fucking baseball nerds that think it's down to an exact science, I like, I just vehemently disagree with. That ball was going out.
The HankCast numbers had that ball going out.
Yes.
By, by the eyeballs, it did look like the, the highest home run ever hit because he crushed this shit. We don't know, actually. I did do a little bit of a deep dive in this. I have a couple of questions. Number one, why was the roof closed? It was a beautiful night in Milwaukee, was it not?
Mm-hmm.
Was there a reason the roof was closed? Number two, do we know what the backspin numbers are? Because the backspin— Hank, you go in the simulator, right?
Yep.
What do the backspin— the higher the backspin, the shorter the total distance, right?
Yeah.
So unless we know what the backspin numbers are, you're not going to be able to even make a guess in terms of how far it would have gone.
Yeah, because like a couple, you know, a couple thousand RPMs, like if it's going forward, that, that can equate to like 20 feet, 30 feet, 40 feet.
Well, it wasn't spinning forward.
No, or like, like if it was, you know, 5,000 backspin versus 1,000 backspin, like that's a lot.
Big difference. Huge difference.
But the baseball nerds seem to like, are convinced like, oh, it would, it would have only gone 340 feet, like 100%. Like that's just not how it works.
I mean, it was the highest. It did look like it might have been a home run.
Yeah.
Just by the eye test.
Yeah. I think it has to be over 60 degrees for the entire game for them to count. Keep the roof open, but I don't know. OK, because maybe that was because it was a night game. It was like it was open today.
Yeah, it was a really nice night.
Yeah. But the Pods got robbed and then game 2, they had like a 99th percentile. I saw the stat. It was like 4 99th percentiles. It was like 102-mile-an-hour pitch.
Yeah. Mason Miller.
It's like 101 exit velo. The baserunner I was running like 30 miles an hour at 30-something feet per second or something.
So just the best baseball play of all time.
And then the throw home was like one of the 99th percentile speed from the outfield. I lost.
I'm not saying this is a jinx.
They kind of choked game 2.
Yeah, I'm not saying this is a jinx or anything. The Brewers are gonna win the World Series. They have team of destiny vibes. They won 103 games. They got guys who step up in big moments. They got a dome that's— that helps them when they need it. Like, yeah, that was the way they won these 2 games. Feels very different.
It does feel team-adjacent. The Milwaukee Brewers. Yeah, but they're good.
Or you could just— yeah, they could just be the Milwaukee Brewers.
30.2 feet per second sprint speed.
No, I think they're really good. I don't— I don't think there's a lot of luck. I think I think they're just really fucking good.
99-mile-an-hour throw home from Jackson Merrill.
Oh man.
Yeah. Also, Christian Yelich is getting kind of dragged for not having an RBI.
Okay.
Bullshit.
Through 2 games? No.
Like it's been—
Oh, it's been a long, a lot of games.
Long time. Longest, longest playoff drought without an RBI.
I like Christian Yelich. He's always been good to us. He's a friend. So I wish he didn't play for the Brewers. 80 postseason. Okay, that's a lot of bats.
I saw it.
When my, when my friends have bad things happen, I just ignore it. I just am like, I'm not going to pay attention to that.
But they're winning.
Like, yeah, yeah, who cares? Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have both won majors since Christian Yelich.
Okay, that's a pet peeve. When you say it like that, this is Hank hating our friends.
I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not. I literally started this out with what people are saying and then I said, fuck them.
You didn't even need to say the stat.
Yeah, it seemed like you relished it.
I'm providing context. The Brewers are up 2-0 and you were like, oh, and by the way, Christian Yelich needs to be drafted.
I'm pretty sure he started that rally in the 9th.
Yeah.
So he did. He's a great—
Hank, you're a smart guy.
Oh, this is where it's like—
no, but, you know.
No, no, I'll remember this.
Are you not a smart guy?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You're a smart guy.
Yeah.
You know that RBIs, those are dependent on your teammates to be on base, right?
He could hit a home run.
Oh, you don't say.
Yeah, obviously he could hit a home run, but I'm saying that RBI is not the most important stat in the world. If he's getting hits, that's good. Good for him.
Yep. Yelich was the tying run in the 9th and he walked with one out.
The Tiger Phil thing felt like a lot to throw in there.
Context.
Uh, all right, other baseball real quick. White Sox, Murakami's— I mean, he's just a dude. And he, uh, the White Sox take game 1 in Cleveland. Very excited for the stream we're going to be having here with White Sox Dave and Tate. Uh, I think Murakami said afterwards, like, they were like, what were you feeling? He's like, I don't want to say because like it's, it's like dirty what I was feeling. Also, Tommy Pham, very funny to— in a win to post on his Instagram being like, how did this ball not go out? Because he— I think he's saying that something's up with the ball because he had all the stats for it. He's like, it should have been a home run. He had the crosswinds and everything. The Rays, that was an incredible game where—
who?
Oh, my buddy No Escalators on Twitter said, do you know how hard it is to be the one in a one-hitter and have everyone be mad at you? Because Austin Wells got the only hit for the Yankees and then got thrown out by a million miles at third base. And like, that's really what it is. He had the one and everyone hated him.
He just— he blew through the stop sign too.
Yeah.
Like they were telling him, yeah, no, don't do this. Bad idea.
Rasmussen was awesome.
He was really— wow.
Yes.
Yeah.
2 outs.
Cardinal rule of baseball.
Yeah.
Don't make the third.
And he was first or third out at third base.
By a mile with his poor third base coach just putting up—
You're already in scoring position at second. Stay at second.
It is, it is hilarious when you put it into context. Like, he was the only— if he just stays at second, the Yankees lose and everyone's like, well, Austin Wells at least got a hit. Instead, it's this fucking guy. Also very mean to put Giancarlo Stanton. Did you see that? He had to I don't think he had an at-bat since April and they threw him— they pinch hit him in the 9th facing like 102 miles an hour.
Yeah, that was getting bad.
No chance. But that was great. Braves won a game. I think they broke— I think they had lost. What was it, 7 in a row or something to the Dodgers? What was the stat? I saw a stat. Maybe that's wrong. Wait, I don't remember. Either way, Braves had tied it 1-1. And then what series? No, that's it. That's all the series, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's playoff baseball. It's back. I'm excited. Monday's going to be great. We've got some day baseball. It's going to be fun.
PFT.
My Who's Back of the Week is the U.S. men's national team. Yeah, soccer's back, baby.
Wait, Hank, that didn't sound like that was—
Memes is pumped.
Queen Latifah is on screen.
Oh, hell yeah. Hell yeah. We beat Mexico. Kevin Sullivan. Fluffia, Max. What about Kevin Sullivan?
Yeah, Kevin Sullivan.
Beast.
He's like 15.
Yeah.
So like 35-yard goal. Pretty impressive. Back in—
wait, for the US men's?
Yeah.
Continuing playing for them.
Yeah. Continuing our tradition of beating Mexico once a year and then people thinking that we're good at soccer.
Not me.
We're back.
Nope. Not me either. Captain Sullivan, though.
He said he took a nap before the game and visualized scoring a goal.
Fuck yeah.
And then got in. I think he is a little bit of a dog. Just the limited stuff I've seen from him, feel like he might be a dog.
So this time is different.
It might be different. Look at that.
I'm allowed to say that about a minor?
What?
I don't know.
I just— he's too young.
It's too young to have a dog. An idiot.
I don't think you can be too young to have a dog if you have the responsibility.
I'm counting this as a win for Philly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There you go. OK, I have 2 who's backs. One is Prime Day is the 6th and 7th. So Tuesday and Wednesday, 20% off Stella Blue coffee on Amazon. Go buy on Tuesday and Wednesday. And then my other who's back It's a who's not— who's not back because we didn't talk about it. It was a Friday news dump. Tony Romo, not back. He and CBS parted ways. Open invite to Tony Romo to come to a Gambling Cave stream. That would be awesome. I listen, I don't— driving while drunk is really, really bad. I also think that people should be allowed to to like be able to come back from their mistakes. So it felt crazy that he got fired over that. Like, I under— I understand it's bad, but yeah, I don't know. I think I am a believer in second chances in life.
He said that he was going to spend some time like working on his health, working with his family. I don't know if that meant that he wouldn't be able to, to do his job this year.
Yeah.
Or how much time he was trying to take away. Maybe that had something to do with with him and CBS not working out?
Oh, no, I think CBS fired him.
Just stone cold fired him for getting OWI.
They were like, hey, we're not going to bring you back. Let's figure out a way where we can pay you money. You don't sue us. We mutually part ways. Yeah, I don't— there's no way that that's a mutual parting of ways. Is never mutual.
Right. So, well, it obviously would not have happened if it wasn't for the OWI. Yeah. What I was saying was he was going to he was planning on not being on the air at CBS.
Like, but that was CBS's decision.
In treatment.
Well, no, CBS took him off the air before the season started.
Right.
But that was CBS's decision.
So I guess what I'm saying, I didn't know if he was going to be gone in treatment for like, oh, 2 months during the season or not.
No, I think CBS was— they just were like, we're, we're done here. It feels like And it might have been other things. It might have been, you know, the contract was too big. I don't know what was involved, but it definitely feels like CBS was like, we're not going to bring you back. So let's figure out a way to make this seem mutual.
I think he'll get it.
It's mutual.
He'll be back at some point. I don't think it's going to be like a lifetime ban from TV for Tony Romo. But Marv Albert is calling games.
I understand. But what will he be back? It's harder to be the number one. Like, he's not going to probably get the number one spot.
Definitely not.
So does he want it bad enough? Yeah, he wants the number 1 spot, you know what I mean? That will be interesting.
Yeah.
It also— I mean, Tony Romo probably wants a little bit of a break. He went straight from football to this. Like, that's— he's been doing it for 9 years, which is kind of crazy to think about. Basically the course of this podcast. I— it'll be interesting. Yeah, there's, uh, I think there's rumors because Troy Aikman hasn't signed at ESPN, so people are like, what's going on here? Doing the win horse fingers, but Joe Buck has. And then Greg Olsen is a free agent and he wants to be a number one. Maybe some shuffling of chairs. I just know we obviously criticized Tony at times. We liked having him on the show. He was awesome when he came in and we interviewed him. I just think that people should get a second chance. So that, that was— it felt, it read to me like a firing. I know it wasn't posed as a firing. I think CBS was like, Tony, here's your bags.
I think he'll have another chance at some point. I don't know that he's going to ever have a chance to be a number one guy.
Yeah.
But he'll be calling a game at some point in the next 10 years.
But welcome to join us in a gambling streak.
Yeah. Although Greg Olsen, Greg Olsen does deserve a shot at some number one booth somewhere.
Yeah.
We'll see how the decks get shuffled here. All right, Zach, finish us off.
My who's back that we just is going to be Tom Kim. Tom Kim.
Yes.
Possibly dodged a bullet by 3 strokes.
Oh, actually.
Well, you never know if he, if he would have went, there might have been bullets, might have been shots, but he got it done in the Asia Games.
Yep.
So what happened with him?
So he, he's from South Korea. South Korea has mandatory military service of 2 years for all able-bodied males. He was coming up on that time where it's like you either have to have a Like a medical exemption or a global sports accomplishment. It's either gold medal in the Olympics or any medal in the Olympics or gold medal in the Asia Games. And he got the, the gold medal in the Asia Games for the exemption.
Yeah. So great moment.
No military for Tom.
What a bunch of— the relief on his face.
He said—
fantastic.
He said he wasn't thinking too much about it going into it. He just wanted to represent his country. I think that was him kind of bearing the lead. He was definitely thinking about it a little more, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think you go into the final day and you're in contention. Yes, 100%.
I like a lot of pressure.
I liked my guy Bunky Perkins' tweet, which was just, we need, we need more events in America where the winner gets exempt from military service.
Yes, I agree with that.
Like, we won't even do that for guys that go to military academy that are really good at football. A lot of times we're like, hey, sorry, you still got to get— go get on that sub for 2 years, then come talk to us.
You got to sign papers.
You got to go. Yeah.
Yeah.
All right. Good show, boys. Anything else? Any other who's backs? Max Beams? No, nothing. Didn't bring who's back today.
No, never.
Fine. Didn't want to bring who's back. Another Football Sunday in the books. You got some good guests coming up this week.
Woo!
Bill Burr on Friday, possibly Ryan Rosillo on Wednesday. Eli Manning on Wednesday. It's gonna be a good week. All right, numbers.
10.
Do you want 3?
I'm gonna go with 2.
All right, I'll take 3.
Gotta get— gotta get a win.
8.
Gotta get our second one.
5. I don't even know.
1.
Yeah, the NHL's back.
86.
Max, did you just say, I don't even know?
Yeah, I normally do it off of like sports, sports guys that I like.
15.
What'd you guess?
And I was like, I'll go with 1.
Jacob the Gators.
Oh, he said Jacob.
Yeah, not very.
I don't know why, but whenever we, whenever we play Missouri and Eli Drinkwitz, we become the worst football team to walk the earth.
I wanted to gouge my eyes out with a, with a spork.
Islanders beat the Devils 6-0. Shane's also a Devils fan.
5!
What did you get?
No one guessed?
They usually take 5.
Hank.
Memes, no.
Memes, no.
Well, no, Hank took— Hank too.
Well, Hank didn't care.
What?
Wait, me and PFT both said 8 at the same time, so then I said 5.
Let's go, Zach. Awesome job.
You just weren't gonna say anything?
I was trying, I was trying, I was trying it out.
And that's usually Memes' number.
No, no, I gave it to Hank.
I shouldn't have hit—
I should have pressed—
this one doesn't count.
This one doesn't count. 89.
Zach, how many times you gotten this?
Uh, twice.
Beast.
Dude, can you help memes?
Beast mode.
I thought it was banned.
Wait, what happened? How'd you get it the first time?
Jalen Brunson.
All right.
Oh yeah, that's right.
I did realize the other day my parking spot is also 11. Shout out Jalen Brunson.
So Zach, you've gotten it twice and memes never gotten it.
Guys get it sometimes.
Yeah.
Well, the crazy part is that—
I'm gonna leave here and say that Zach's bit has run its course.
Start treating memes—
The 2 times that Zach's gotten it. He's gotten it using memes as numbers.
I've got—
now, was that the maddest you've ever been, Memes?
No, but I was pretty mad about the Patriots beat the Jets last year and you came in with your fist clenched, wanting to fight me. Was that 2 years ago? Was that 2 years ago?
Hmm. That doesn't ring a bell.
Hmm.
Doesn't sound like something I would do.
All right.
All right. Happy birthday to Grant Hill. Happy birthday to Travis Kelce. Happy birthday to Mario Lemieux. Happy birthday on Tuesday to Trevor Lawrence. Happy birthday to Kyle Pitts, Braxton Berrios, Richard Seymour, and to Bronny James. Love you guys. Also, happy birthday today to Tony La Russa.
