Don Lemon00:00:45

If it holds, it could be a blue bloodbath on Tuesday night, and he knows it. And it goes much further than Tuesday night for him, because then he becomes a real lame duck president.

Jennifer Welch00:01:07

Welcome to the Weekend Read: A Welch's Lemonade Production. We are election eve, eve, eve. Don Lemon, are you ready?

Don Lemon00:01:16

I am ready. And look, we need to tell everybody, Jen, that we are their election headquarters. Because right now I'm in Chicago, I'm going to Michigan this weekend, I'm going to see what I can—if I can catch up with El Sayed, and then I'm going to Ohio to see if I can catch up with Amy Acton. And then I have my show—I should say our show—on Tuesday night, right? We're taking over a sports bar, and we're going to—this is an election night watch party, and Jen is going to be, I say, the main special co-host joining us, and lots of other folks. So they need to stay tuned to I've Had It podcast and to the Don Lemon show for everything they need to know about the election, Jen, because we're on it, and we're honest, and we are not holding back on this shit.

Jennifer Welch00:01:59

Yeah, so everybody that subscribed to I've Had It, go over and subscribe to Don Lemon's channel, and that's where you can watch live election results, corporate-free results. Okay, Don, the early vote is looking really good, and I'm cautiously optimistic. Pop this up. More than 43 million Americans have voted early ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. In just Texas, they have passed the 2022 early vote by 2 million votes.

I am ready to go. And let's get to what we do best. I want to now, I would say, in assessing the sexuality of the president of the United States, we have had him a likely gay. I'm going to play a video for you, and I want to ask you, does this move him to solidly gay? Play the clip.

Speaker 600:02:50

I'm right now heading to Ohio to campaign for a great senator who nobody knew this, one of the best football players around. And I told the people, they didn't know this, he has a great ass, very powerful ass. His shoulders, his hands, his arms.

Jennifer Welch00:03:07

What? Okay, that's good. That's good. Did he say, are we in the power bottom phase of this? Is that where we are now? Are we at the power bottom phase? He just said a very powerful ass.

Don Lemon00:03:23

You know, you don't usually shot me, Jen, because I know that you say your piece. Oh, I do not need that image in my head. I think we are in some weird phase where his homoerotic tendencies are coming to four, right? They're just coming. Because you know, the older you get, the fewer inhibitions you have, right, about just saying things, right? And even now, my mom says it, and I'm like, Mom!

She goes, look, I'm 80 years old, I can say whatever I want. Okay, fine. So, but I also think, with caution, Jen, just as we said, cautiously optimistic, I think sometimes he says these things because he wants to distract, and he knows that we're going to talk about it, and everyone's going to write about it, and he doesn't have to talk about the horrible gas prices, the interest rates, the grocery prices, and the healthcare, all of the bad things. So I think it is not, what do you say?

It's not mutually exclusive. He can be in his, what are we calling, leaning gay? What category?

Jennifer Welch00:04:33

I think we've gone from likely to solid with the power bottom reveal.

Don Lemon00:04:36

Okay, we can get solidly gay and also distraction. It can be both. So yeah, but just know that he's trying to do something weird.

Jennifer Welch00:04:45

I also think it's a really interesting closing message to just keep hammering this to this party of toxic masculinity. And they're always like, remember, I think it was Homeland Security or somebody tweeted the other day, fake and gay. I'm like, are you talking about the commander in chief? Because that's all he talks about is being fake and gay. All right.

Don Lemon00:05:04

Can I ask you something, Jen?

Jennifer Welch00:05:06

Yes, of course.

Don Lemon00:05:07

So I have a friend who's like us, who's very outspoken about this. And he said, I think that he might be preparing people for some sort of compromise that's about to come out so that they won't be so shocked.

Jennifer Welch00:05:22

Oh, God, please, please, please, please let it be true. I will inject directly into my veins while simultaneously snorting. I live, I live for Republican gay scandals. I love them with everything in me. They are delicious. Please let that be true. Please, God, you know I'm an atheist. I'll be a much better girl. Please let that be true.

Don Lemon00:05:46

I know you're praying.

Jennifer Welch00:05:48

I need this to be true.

Don Lemon00:05:50

Well, that's and he's someone in the know that he believes that it could be that. And likely, I'm moving that from could to likely.

Jennifer Welch00:06:01

Okay, so Trump has been, you know, he's been acting like a nut. He's been telling people to get in shape when his fat ass is out there running around with his makeup lines and whatnot. And he's doing a rally at a high school gym, and then he's canceled them all, canceled all the rallies for the weekend. Now, suddenly they're back on because there are polls coming out in Kansas that the Democrat is up by like eight, nine points. Here is Roger Marshall responding to Trump canceling their rally in Kansas.

Play the clip.

Speaker 700:06:36

Any reaction to the president canceling the in-person rally this weekend?

Don Lemon00:06:40

I'm not sure yet. I think they think that I'm doing so well in the polls that he's probably got better places to spend his time. I'm not sure.

Don Lemon00:07:10

Bullshit. Anyway, it's gone.

Jennifer Welch00:07:11

Yeah, so there's a Washington Post poll that came out that shows that guy trailing by nine in Kansas. And now Trump has changed his mind. Now all of, you know, he's, this guy's such a nut. Now he's saying everything's back on. So pop this up. Caitlin Collins reported that President Trump will now hold rallies in Iowa and Kansas this Sunday. Within 12 hours, Don, we've gone from, I'm not going to do rallies, and then everybody was like, oh, he must be in bad shape. Well, he's so fragile.

Do you see how easy the left goaded him back to do rallies? Think about how Putin and Netanyahu, how easy it would be to goad him.

Don Lemon00:07:51

Yeah, yes. And look, all you have to do is say he can't handle it, that he's weak, or that he's somehow feeble, or sleepy or old or whatever, or just afraid. Look how, look how, look at what Barack Obama did with the Cheesecake Factory. That really got to him. So here's what I think. I do think, after all these years when he, you know, Joe Biden is sleepy Joe, Joe Biden is campaigning from a basement, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then him saying that he's going to get off of the campaign trail and go do phone interviews or teleconference interviews or whatever it is, or rallies, it's ridiculous.

And for the Roger Marshall to say that when he's behind nine points, they know that it's a lie, but they can't bear away from the dear leader. So yeah, I believe Donald Trump was goaded back into it by the Democrats and by people like us who are just reporting on it. Honestly, there is no way Donald Trump built his political career on unhinged rallies and unfactual, illogical rallies where he just spouts off whatever he wants, you know, saying, oh, John Husted went up 12 points after I started talking about his ass. Bullshit. The polls didn't change. So none of it, none of it is true.

So yes, he was goaded into it. And if it holds, if it holds, it could be a blue bloodbath on Tuesday night, and he knows it. And it goes much further than Tuesday night for him, because then he becomes a real lame duck president. I had Alan Lichtman on, who said that he has gone from, he got some new information on Kansas that gives him, that puts the chances of winning the Senate at 70%, which is higher than he had before.

So the House, for sure he believes, and the Senate, 70%. So kumbaya, my Lord.

Jennifer Welch00:09:47

I hope so. And I want, I want Trump's ass on the campaign trail. He is our best surrogate. I want him crisscrossing every rural town and half-filling up high school gymnasiums and doing all of his gay shit on repeat. I think he needs to do 10 rallies a day.

Don Lemon00:10:07

Agreed.

Jennifer Welch00:10:07

He is our best surrogate. He is our absolute best surrogate.

Don Lemon00:10:11

We love seeing him out there just doing that Trump thing, Trump, Donald Trump, you can do it, sir. Go, go, go.

Jennifer Welch00:10:18

Maybe there won't be as many protesters this time, which, by the way, that is something that has been incredible. Did you see the guy?

Don Lemon00:10:25

I had him on. Are you talking about the guy who asked about the Epstein files?

Jennifer Welch00:10:29

Yes.

Don Lemon00:10:29

Yeah, I had him on. He is great. He is great.

Jennifer Welch00:10:33

Did you also see the guy who was like, I just wanted to see what it was like to see a cult up close and personally and straight live on Fox? And he looked kind of MAGA. He was a MAGA-coated looking guy. And then so they had him standing by, and then it was like a total bait and switch. It was beautiful.

Don Lemon00:10:50

I wasn't old enough in the late 70s to go to Guyana, and the guy was like, what? And he goes, yeah, because it's great to see a cult up close and personal. The guy's like, ah, no, no, no.

Jennifer Welch00:11:01

It was so good. All right, so now we have Vance, and he is another surrogate that is helping the Democrats immensely. And he, this will forever fascinate me. Here's a man who has a wife that is Indian. He has mixed-race kids. And he goes out and he says shit like this to MAGA. Play the clip.

Speaker 700:11:25

We had a, one of our kids had a problem. We took him to the emergency room. It was like totally fine. It was young parents being panicky, as young parents sometimes are. And I'm sitting there in the emergency room, and there are like nine different translators for nine different languages. While I'm worried about a medical problem that my son has, and I'm just thinking to myself, how about if everybody spoke English and we could hire more doctors and less translators in our country?

Jennifer Welch00:11:51

How about if you just mind your own fucking business and go get some exfoliator and exfoliate that ratchet eyeliner off of your eyes? You don't have to listen Gladys Kravitz to what everybody's saying in the ER. Focus on your kid. And by the way, your in-laws are immigrants. I also think he's lying. There were not nine translators in the ER. That 0% did not happen.

Don Lemon00:12:15

It's not nine translators in the ER. And guess what? Maybe the people speaking those nine languages are better doctors. Maybe the hospital or whatever facility you're going to are actually basing it on meritocracy and not because they're cute and blonde. And maybe we could put them to be the White House press secretary, or maybe they can be in charge of the Pentagon and the Defense Department when they're not qualified. So I'm more concerned about a doctor that is qualified that is giving me or my child, or I don't have a child, or my fur baby, if there's a veterinarian, or the love of my life, Jen Welch, that they're giving them great healthcare.

And so, okay, great. If this is the best person, Jen, wouldn't you be like, bring the damn translator in? This is the best doctor for this particular thing that we're talking about. Bring him in. So what are you worried about that for, especially when you have a wife who is from an immigrant family? What is your problem? I ran into this man on the street the other day who was just flummoxed and flabbergasted that Ted Cruz said what he said about Abdul El-Sayed, right?

About him being a terrorist and they're going to need a, Donald Trump saying he wanted a medical metal detector and that Ted Cruz saying that El-Sayed was going to put Americans in jeopardy. And he said, what happened to us? What happened to Americans that we're now demonizing immigrants? Immigrants are the backbone of our economy and our society. And for JD Vance not to understand that when he has a, when he has Indian, he has brown children. And his, I'm sure his in-laws probably speak a different language as their native tongue.

So it is just, it shows me that he has no convictions. He has no scruples. He has no morals, and he will do whatever it is that he thinks is better for him to suck up to Donald Trump and MAGA. That's it.

Jennifer Welch00:14:15

Or I think there's an even worse scenario. He knows exactly what he's doing. And he intentionally betrays his wife and kids because he views them as a liability with the racist MAGA base. So he makes a point. Like, did you see Vivek Ramaswamy out there saying, we're not going to, we're not going to turn Ohio like dearborn Michigan, which famously has a lot of Muslim population. And I'm like, Vivek, okay, I've been in these white circles. All right?

If you're a white person, you've been in circles where you know the way people like Vivek can be spoken about. And it's just unbelievable to me that he somehow thinks he's the magic Indian in this scenario. If you're a token, you're going to get spent first. And I think that we saw that JD, not JD Vance, Elon Musk fired Vivek Ramaswamy almost immediately. But it's just amazing to me how these people go to these white supremacists, these rabid racists, and they think somehow they're going to be safe.

Somehow they're going to be the special one.

Don Lemon00:15:26

I don't even know what else I can add to that, considering how many Indian American people I have asked, has Vivek Ramaswamy forgotten that he is a brown person? And I think he has. And I think, look, I think so many times over and over, he has been told they don't want him. That they don't want, there was someone on the internet recently, and it may have been a lawmaker who was playing like, you know, Indian music, like whatever, saying, is this what we want for Ohio?

Like, those bigots in MAGA, they've told you more than once, more than twice, more than three times, more than four times, that they just don't want you. Look at what happened when, you know, you guys were out touting the H-1B visas. MAGA lost their minds and went completely racist. Look at what happened when you helped to establish DOGE, because you were going to cut all these services and for people who needed them. And the first person they got rid of in DOGE was who? Vivek?

Jennifer Welch00:16:27

The brown guy.

Don Lemon00:16:28

Ramaswamy. The brown guy. He was the first person. And look at Ann Coulter. You said some great things, but I can't vote for you because you're Indian. And then it goes, I mean, there are many more examples of that. None other, none bigger, I believe, in this moment is Ohio saying, no, I don't care how much you suck up to Donald Trump, suck up to MAGA, put out horrible ads about Amy Acton and her childhood sex abuse. We don't want you. Causing him to double, triple down, and then, as you know, recently, he had to, he pulled that ad because he realized he is losing.

And I think it's too late. Jen, don't you hope the same thing that you're praying and you're not a believer, that he just loses by such a huge margin that he's just so embarrassed that he doesn't come back?

Jennifer Welch00:17:18

Yes. And next Tuesday, I want to be a sore winner. I do not want to be a gracious winner. I want to be a sore winner. I want to drink MAGA tears. I need it. I want to be the sore winner.

Don Lemon00:17:29

Are you in your, are you in your see you next Tuesday moment right now?

Jennifer Welch00:17:33

I am. I am. I think I have that right here. This says see you next Tuesday, and the CUNT is a different color. Do you see that? I am.

Don Lemon00:17:44

And you know, I'm not calling you a disparaging name. I'm just saying it just happened to go.

Jennifer Welch00:17:47

I actually think it's a compliment. And these are MAGA tears. Okay.

Don Lemon00:17:56

Mine are a little cloudy, but look, look.

Jennifer Welch00:17:57

Oh, that looks like a little Welch's lemonade. I like it. Okay.

Don Lemon00:18:01

Mixed with MAGA tears.

Jennifer Welch00:18:03

I want to talk about the Abdul El-Sayed race, because everybody's always like, okay, do you condemn Hassan Piker, Abdul and all this shit that's irrelevant? But nobody ever asked Mike Rogers, who campaigns with Donald Trump, if he condemns Donald Trump, who is a felon and adjudicated rapist, a racist and all of these things. Furthermore, they're trying to pin Abdul El-Sayed as being some sort of clandestine member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Well, we did a little digging around here with Ryan and Kylie that, do you know who the biggest donor and the biggest financier of the Muslim Brotherhood is?

Qatar.

Don Lemon00:18:42

Oh, wait. Yeah, Qatar, but someone else funded.

Jennifer Welch00:18:45

And you know who gave a $400 million bride plane to Donald Trump? Qatar.

Don Lemon00:18:51

Qatari, yeah.

Jennifer Welch00:18:52

Yeah. So the call is always coming from inside the house. But here is Abdul responding to Trump's racism. Play the clip.

Speaker 700:19:01

He said, he said that I should have to go through a metal detector. That's all right. He took that Wolverine thing seriously. You know, it was like our claws. But here's the deal, Donald. Listen, I'll go through a metal detector if you'll sit for a lie detector. Simple.

I got nothing to hide. You've got so much to hide. My first question, Epstein. Second question, did you win the 2020 election?

Jennifer Welch00:19:57

And you know what I think?

Don Lemon00:19:59

So good.

Jennifer Welch00:20:00

He's so good. And I also want a televised cognitive test. Because, you know, he's a victim.

Don Lemon00:20:05

You do.

Jennifer Welch00:20:05

I want to see it live on TV.

Don Lemon00:20:09

All right. Yeah. What was it? Something horse, camel, brino, some camera TV. Oh, God. I would love to see that. You should say, my God, you ace so many cognitive tests. Why don't you take one live on TV? That would be great. Yeah, lie detector test too. I love it. He's good. They're so scared of him.

Jennifer Welch00:20:30

They are so scared of him. What do you think? I saw that Cory Booker's in the lineup for our, for your election day. And I don't know if you saw it yesterday, Cory Booker, he was asked about Abdul and he was, he will not endorse him. He will not just boldly endorse him.

Don Lemon00:20:49

Well, we'll have to talk to him.

Jennifer Welch00:20:50

You got to talk to him about it.

Don Lemon00:20:52

Of course. But he's not one of, he's not one of the co-hosts. He's a guest, like any other political guests that we have on, right? And so, yeah, we're going to have to, we'll have to ask him about that. Look, there, look, let's just be honest about this. I looked at the campaign, the rally in Georgia earlier this week, and I saw Barack Obama. Fine as hell, right? Let's just be honest, right?

Jennifer Welch00:21:23

100%.

Don Lemon00:21:24

And then I saw, and then I saw Jon Ossoff, fine and good looking as hell. And then Keisha Lance Bottoms came out, just gorgeous, beautiful specimen of a woman, just fine as hell. And then I went over and I looked at Michigan. El-Sayed is a hunk of a man, don't you think? El-Sayed is a good looking man.

Jennifer Welch00:21:43

Yeah.

Don Lemon00:21:43

Not only that, he is brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. So I'm looking at this, I'm looking at Michigan, the rallies there with El-Sayed and Obama and then Georgia with Ossoff and Keisha and Obama. And I'm like, wow, look at these beautiful, intelligent, just great people. And then we went to Ohio with Donald Trump. And I was like, it just went downhill. It was gross.

Jennifer Welch00:22:12

Did you shovel? Did you shovel?

Don Lemon00:22:12

Talking about people, yeah. Turtle, turtle. It was a turtle. And so. And so I just said, look, it's just, it's not even comparable in this moment. It's just talking points about terrorism, Muslims, Democrats, asses, penises, muscles, hands, feet.

It's like, what are you talking about? And then you have El-Sayed talking about healthcare. You got Obama. What do you call it? Just trolling him with the Cheesecake Factory. And then you have, you know, Ossoff just talking about what he's going to do for Georgia. And they're not, they're just the complete opposite. Not only are they not as attractive, they're not as smart. And I don't believe that they're willing and wanting to help the American people as much as the Democratic side right now.

Jennifer Welch00:23:15

I agree. And you mentioned the Cheesecake Factory. And the demon Queen Scott Bessent staged a press conference at the Cheesecake Factory this week. Let's play the clip.

Speaker 800:23:26

Hi, Mr. Secretary. It's an interesting lunch choice today. What did you order for the Cheesecake Factory?

Speaker 900:23:32

Oh, I have what I always had, the French dip cheeseburger.

Speaker 800:23:36

Excellent. And so recent news, we've got former President Obama comparing White House decorations or construction to the Cheesecake Factory, saying it looks like Saddam Hussein opened the Cheesecake Factory. Any reaction to that?

Speaker 900:23:48

Well, two things. This is the man who built the museum that looks like Darth Vader's tomb. And I would just tell the, I had a great meal, always have a great meal, and I would tell the Martha's Vineyard set to give it a try.

Jennifer Welch00:24:04

Okay. Number one, that whole thing was scripted and staged. It was as obvious as I'll get out. You could tell the reporter had it, they had it, that was a total agreed on. It was 100% a setup. Scott Bessent, no more, goes to the Cheesecake Factory on a regular basis than Donald Trump does, okay? Which is zero. And I loved Obama when he just, he will double down with these people. And he goes, did you notice? They didn't even get upset about the corruption I talked about.

They didn't get upset that I compared him to Saddam Hussein. He mobilized the entire administration to this Cheesecake Factory joke because this is all they're intellectually capable of. And so they are only intellectually capable of going to bat for the Cheesecake Factory, which by the way, what, the first one was in Beverly Hills. And it's really quite expensive. I'm not a huge fan because the menu's too big for me. I think if you try to do all different types of food, you're probably not good at one thing.

But nonetheless, I mean, no shade to the Cheesecake Factory, but the interior design there is very much Trumpian.

Don Lemon00:25:13

Okay, let me tell you this. Let me just say this. One, Scott Bessent is a gay man. He should have a better idea of design than that. He should have a better handle. First of all, I don't believe that he's ever eaten at the Cheesecake Factory and not at some place that he frequents. Okay, so let's not pretend he's a half a billionaire. So come on. And the thing is too, that people, and they're saying, oh, he's disparaging the Cheesecake Factory. First of all, the Cheesecake Factory is not a, it's not a cheap place, right? It's not some place that you go that's cheap.

And it is designed like a restaurant. And what I see Obama saying is that the White House should not look like a restaurant that Saddam Hussein, you know, decorated and is turning into a place for a world leader to live. That's what I hear saying. And so I think Scott Bessent is well aware of that, but I don't believe that he's ever eaten at the Cheesecake Factory. Maybe, you know, maybe once or twice. I don't know. I just don't believe it. And I do think that it was set up.

But Scott Bessent should have a better sense of design, especially as a gay man. He should know, he should know what bad design and bad taste is. And look, am I stereotyping gay men?

Jennifer Welch00:26:28

Pull his card. Pull his card.

Don Lemon00:26:29

We're going to take him. We got to take the card.

Jennifer Welch00:26:31

You got to take his card. Send him back to the Straits. I'm sorry. He should have no gay privileges, that man.

Don Lemon00:26:38

Yeah. And look, when I saw him coming out, I looked at the design on the Cheesecake Factory and I said, it's not, it's not a bad design. I just wouldn't want it in my house. I wouldn't want the White House to look like that. You know what I'm saying? And so I think this, it's just a bridge too far. They're being too cute by half with that Obama's disparaging the Cheesecake Factory. And he said, I spent so many, so much time at the Cheesecake Factory and Chuck E. Cheese and California Pizza when the girls were young. And he goes, these aren't cheap places.

Jennifer Welch00:27:05

Yeah.

Don Lemon00:27:05

I know that, right? But I just don't think that the White House should look like that. And everybody knows that that's the truth. Look at the White House. I mean.

Jennifer Welch00:27:15

It's a little raunchy shit show of the highest order.

Don Lemon00:27:19

What do they call it? The White House Hillbillies?

Jennifer Welch00:27:20

Disaster. Yeah.

Don Lemon00:27:22

It's like the Beverly Hillbillies.

Jennifer Welch00:27:23

I'm not saying about a judge and all his kin.

Don Lemon00:27:25

His kin, yeah. The cement pond. I'm putting in a new cement pond in the White House and we're going to put on the concrete Whirlybird pad. It's like, oh, Jesus.

Jennifer Welch00:27:37

Jethro. All right. So I love one of my favorite things.

Don Lemon00:27:41

I love you.

Jennifer Welch00:27:42

Thank you. One of my favorite things is when Trump humiliates the MAGA men to their faces and they just sit there and they take it. You can tell they enjoy it, like the humiliation kink. So he recently had a rally in Texas and he was sitting there talking about, of course, John Huston's ass, which now we have elevated to a power bottom at the clip that we started out with. So the power bottom ass, it was, he was talking about John Huston's ass and he said, and I went to talk about Ken Paxton, but I'm sorry, Ken, you don't have the physique for this.

Ken Paxton's just sitting there smiling and laughing, right? Then Lyon Ted Cruz is at the same rally and Trump goes, yeah, you know what we're going to do with Ted? We're going to send him to the Supreme Court and all the Democrats will vote for him because they all hate him. And all the Republicans are going to vote for him because they all hate him. Ted Cruz is the biggest masochist on the planet. He stands up after Trump said everybody hates him in DC. He stood up, waved to the president like a goddamn pageant queen, waved at the crowd and smiled with his big old gut.

And he just, he loved it. He stood there and he was like, give me more. Humiliate me more. So Ken Paxton is face-planting and it's beautiful. And there's a Ken Paxton surrogate that is begging people not to leave his rally. Play the clip.

Don Lemon00:29:03

Oh, oh, wow. I haven't seen this.

Speaker 1000:29:06

And the reason why that is, because I don't want the media to turn it in saying that people don't like Ken Paxton. Well, it's not our fault that we have jobs we got to do in the morning. I'm sorry.

Jennifer Welch00:29:18

I said, do me a favor. Please don't leave. That's how he started it.

Don Lemon00:29:21

And it's not our fault that we have jobs. Oh, please don't leave because we don't want people saying, so he's saying that people are leaving because they have jobs. When has that ever become an excuse for somebody to leave a rally? Because if you love the person, then you're going to be there, you're going to stay, and you're going to watch. And so what, like, wow. And Ken Paxton now too, I don't know, you mentioned Jen, that the rallies are back on for Donald Trump, but Ken Paxton also canceled a rally.

Is that rally back on for him? I don't know the answer to that.

Jennifer Welch00:29:55

I'll have them look it up. Ryan says no, it's not back on. It's still canceled as of Friday mid-morning.

Don Lemon00:30:02

There you go.

Jennifer Welch00:30:03

Okay.

Don Lemon00:30:03

There's your answer.

Jennifer Welch00:30:04

Let's move on to Darlene.

Don Lemon00:30:10

Can we please? I have so much to say about this, Jen, but go ahead.

Jennifer Welch00:30:14

Here's Darlene Graham trying to channel her inner badass. Let's play the clip.

Speaker 1100:30:21

I don't know about you, but I will not allow the liberals and socialists to turn South Carolina blue. You know what? They can just kiss my ass.

Jennifer Welch00:30:36

Kiss my grits.

Don Lemon00:30:37

And then she goes at the end.

Jennifer Welch00:30:41

They can just kiss my ass. Oh, I am fucking shaking in my boots, Darlene. This Democrat socialist libtard, I am scared to fucking death of Darlene Graham. What a threat that is. Aren't you shaking in your boots?

Don Lemon00:30:57

Oh, I'm so scared. Let me just talk to you like I had a conversation with the folks in my orbit that I had earlier this week about this. Because the story that you did and I did on Lindsey Graham and the sex worker saying, you know, alleging that he did whatever. And they said, well, I don't know why someone said, I don't know why the reporters are asking her about it. Because she doesn't know. They should just leave. They should leave her alone. She doesn't know. She stepped in and she had to step into her brother's seat.

And I said, wait a damn minute. She stepped into the arena. And then I said, because I'm talking to my folks, I said, y'all be falling for this bullshit about Darlene Graham is just a little old lady who doesn't know what she's doing and she's out here trying to do the best for her brother. Of course, she is in her brother's seat. And if you are going to get a response for any story that has to do with her brother or the state of South Carolina or whatever it is, who are you going to call? You're going to call Lindsey Graham's office. Where is Lindsey Graham's office?

It's now Darlene's office. If you call anybody from a statement for a statement, you go straight to the source. And fortunately or unfortunately for her, that's her and Lindsey Graham's staff, who she has now, and Lindsey Graham's old seat that she did not, she's not elected to do. She was given that position. And if she's given that position, then she assumes all the responsibilities that come along with that position. So for the people who are saying, Darlene Graham, cut her some slack.

She doesn't know about, she's not a politician. I say F that. She stepped into the arena willingly. She's a grown-ass woman. And if people have questions about it, they should be able, she should be able to answer for it. They threw someone out for asking out of a press conference for asking about it. She should have an answer for it. Her staff should have an answer for it. And they should not be throwing people out of rallies. So this, oh, I'm just a dawdling old lady thing after she said that, kiss my ass. I was like, don't be falling for that bullshit because that is the real Darlene Graham.

And guess what? I want to know if her policies are the same as her brother's policies. Her stance on same-sex marriage and gay and LGBTQ issues, if it's the same as her brother's, what is she going to do if she steps into that seat for those issues and others? So everything that you would ask Lindsey Graham about running for office or in that position, you should be asking Darlene Graham about it as well. I'll get off of my high horse now.

Jennifer Welch00:33:29

I love it. And I think we should also ask Darlene Graham, do you want to continue your brother's tradition of hiring rent-a-boys? Darlene, are you doing the same? Are you also a sub in these scenarios? Is that what excites you most? But here's what I'm going to take it further. I think every person in the U.S. Senate should be asked about Lindsey Graham because this is a national security risk. If a United States senator has a huge secret like this, it's safe to assume that Mossad and the Russians, et cetera, know about this.

Lindsey Graham was laser-focused on helping the Benjamin Netanyahu government more than he was the people of South Carolina. It has been rumored in political circles forever that people have compromise on Lady Graham. I think these issues, as juicy as they are, if there are senators that are on these committees of foreign relation committees and they are constantly flying over to Israel and putting the needs of Benjamin Netanyahu over the needs of the taxpayers, it is a reasonable question whether the person.

Don Lemon00:34:39

Or Russia.

Jennifer Welch00:34:40

Or dead or Russia to launch an investigation which agency, foreign agencies knew about this and were they holding this information? Furthermore, Donald Trump learned from Roy Cohn to gather compromising information and to blackmail people. This was a part of his training. Did David Pecker at the National Enquirer, did somebody catch and kill one of these stories? And Donald Trump said, listen up, Lindsey, no more I love John McCain, I'm a maverick bullshit. You vote with me and you advocate for me or I'm outing you.

And these are not that far-fetched of scenarios. We're in this stage of this fascist takeover right now. If you have a closeted senator, a person who chose a public life and they have this secret where they're, you know, hiring sex workers and, you know, doing gay stuff at night all the time, and then you're going to vote and you're voting for, you know, straight marriage and all this other cockamamie bullshit that's never going to make Lindsey Graham straight ever.

It's never going to do anything but just marginalize people. This is a national security risk. So not only should Darlene twat face Graham be asked this all the time, every single United States senator should be asked about it. And there needs to be a postmortem investigation who all knew and was Lady Graham being compromised and blackmailed.

Don Lemon00:36:08

I don't have anything to add to that. I just, I think that you're right because it is a national security issue. And the thing that gets me is that when I ask people, you know, why, like they say, why didn't this, things like this, you know, the sex worker thing, why didn't it come out when he was alive? They tried. And news organizations, corporate news organizations wouldn't do it, right? And so finally.

Jennifer Welch00:36:32

That's where the ladybug thing came from.

Don Lemon00:36:34

Yeah. They wouldn't do it. And then now, you know, we've had an independent news organization do the research, do their homework, and put it out there. And so when people say he's not alive to defend himself, that's not an excuse for me not to cover this story because it is about national security. And you're right. Everyone, lawmakers, Republican lawmakers, I think the Senate and the Congress should have to answer for it, including the White House.

Jennifer Welch00:37:01

I think little Moses Mike Grinder Johnson, I'd like to grill him over it for a while. I mean, I really, I genuinely would enjoy it. I think my heart rate may even go up a little bit when I did it.

Don Lemon00:37:10

Well, the thing for me is that they think like, oh my gosh, it's so you're disparaging him by saying that he's gay. No, that's being gay is not anything that is disparaging. There's nothing wrong with being gay. What's wrong is hypocrisy. And if you are implementing laws that are detrimental to the LGBTQ plus community and you are part of that community, that's hypocrisy. What's wrong is, you know, you doing that and being a hypocrite. That's what's wrong. But there's nothing wrong with being gay. And there's nothing, I believe, slanderous or libelous about saying that.

Because if someone said, I think we've talked about this before, hey, Don, you're straight. I'd be like, I'm suing you. Oh my gosh, you called me straight. It's like, no, no, I'm not straight. I'm gay. Proud gay man. Next question.

Jennifer Welch00:37:57

Yeah. And the situation is we don't think there's anything wrong with being gay. Lindsey Graham at work sure has voted as though there was something wrong with being gay. And then it's, you know, asking for these rent-a-boys to disparage him. And the more he was disparaged, the harder he got. That's a direct quote from the documentary.

Don Lemon00:38:17

Yeah.

Jennifer Welch00:38:19

That's what the sex worker said. I know these aren't pleasant things to think about, but it is relevant when somebody goes and votes all day. And there was lots and lots of video footage of Lady Graham speaking explicitly about gay marriage and talking about how it was wrong and all of this crazy stuff. I mean, just crazy right-winger shit. And then you find out what he's doing at night. That is relevant. Hypocrisy in our leaders is newsworthy. And if it's about gay sex or if it's about whatever it is about, whatever the hypocrisy is, it would be like if you found out that some right-wing female politician voting all this anti-abortion stuff had had a couple of abortions before.

That is relevant. These things are relevant because we need to elect people that are interested in transparency, that are fine with transparency, that, you know, I mean, we all know this, but Rihanna, I'm going to close out. Rihanna has entered the chat. Pop this up. Rihanna blames non-voters for Trump's second term win in response to Joy Reid's claim that he is what America deserves. And believe it or not, those who didn't vote at all also did this.

And so Rihanna commented on Joy there and said that, and that's what Rihanna's correct, that the SOFA is what beat Kamala, that our base didn't show out strongly enough in the numbers that we needed. But I love how engaged Rihanna is in politics.

Don Lemon00:39:54

Yeah. And I'm actually surprised that she went there, pleasantly surprised because, you know, Rihanna is not originally from America. And so many people are afraid, especially if you're an immigrant in this country, to even speak out on politics. So I commend her. And I don't think that she's wrong. There was a lot of apathy, you know, during the 2024 election, which could have, you know, which I think, not could have, I think led to Kamala Harris's defeat. And we can't have that apathy in this moment.

Jennifer Welch00:40:23

All right. Final question. I asked you an October day in New York City in 2024. Is Kamala going to win? And you looked at me and you grabbed both, grabbed me by the shoulders because you knew it was going to be a blow. And you said, Trump's going to win. And I was like, fuck. And you were right. But I didn't want to believe you. I thought you were just, you'd been running around with MAGA doing your man on the street and MAGA places. And I was still in immediately went into denial. So I'm asking you, is it going to be a blue tsunami on Tuesday?

And are we going to take both the House and the Senate?

Don Lemon00:40:58

I think it's going to be a blue win. I don't know if it's going to be a tsunami or, you know, a wave. I think more of a wave. I would say more of a wave than a tsunami.

Jennifer Welch00:41:12

Leaning wave, not solid wave, but leaning wave.

Don Lemon00:41:15

Yeah, a leaning wave. It's not like a big giant crest where you get thrown under the surf and you're like, oh, shit. But I think it's going to be big enough to scare the bejibus out of Donald Trump and the Republicans and they're afraid now. But it's only going to work as if people are motivated and go out. So I am more confident this time. And I'll tell you, because you mentioned my man on the streets, I do hear Trump not nearly as much as I had been before, Jen.

And all of these numbers from around the country for early voting leads me to believe that we're going to have a blue cresting of the sort. It could be, what do you call it when shoots, what do they call it? High tide or, oh, the surge. It's the storm surge that does the thing. So I think it's going to be like, it'll be a flood and then the surge will come and we'll be like, wow, this is great. But I do think it's going to be, I do think that we might have an early night.

Jennifer Welch00:42:22

I hope so, because you know, I love an early bedtime.

Don Lemon00:42:25

I know. That's why I was like, Jen, I said, if we ask Jen to come on and she agrees, we got to get her butt out of here early because she likes to go to bed. Can I show you one thing before we go?

Jennifer Welch00:42:34

Oh my gosh.

Don Lemon00:42:35

Okay. So don't freak out. And Kylie, don't freak out, because I'm going to do something a little bit unorthodox for our weekend read. And I'm going to show you something because I am here in Chicago and I just want to show you, and I hope this doesn't, do you see outside of my window right here? I don't know if you can see it. Hopefully this doesn't. Hang on.

Jennifer Welch00:42:54

Are you drinking again?

Don Lemon00:42:55

Here we go. No, I'm not drinking again. Are you ready for this? Are you ready?

Jennifer Welch00:42:59

Yes.

Don Lemon00:43:01

Do you see that?

Jennifer Welch00:43:04

Oh my God, the Trump Tower. Oh my God.

Don Lemon00:43:09

Speaking of awful design, it is the tackiest, and I always commend Chicago on their architecture, how beautiful it is. The mid-century, the buildings are just gorgeous. It's a beautiful city. And I lived here for three years. This building is so tacky and it is so outside of the bounds of what I usually see, Chicago's great architecture and those big ass. And not just because it's his name, it could be anybody's name on there. It could be lemon on there. And I would go, oh my God, who did that tacky shit?

And so I almost had to get changed rooms and said, put me on the other side of the hotel. But I said, no, no, no, no. This is inspiring and motivating. I mean, did you see that? You're an interior designer. Come on, tell me. What do you think?

Jennifer Welch00:43:55

Everything he does is tacky. But I'm with you. I would say I want the enemy right across. And I'm going to sit here and drink my Haterade and just hate on him all my whole fucking stay. And I don't believe in any of this shit, but I'm going to voodoo manifest. I'm going to do all this shit because I want to be a sore winner on Tuesday. I want to be a sore, horrific, insufferable twat winner with you by my side.

Don Lemon00:44:23

With your see you next Tuesday mug in your hand, as you say, in my.

Jennifer Welch00:44:27
