In this episode of I've Had It, hosts Jennifer Welch and Josh Welch react to recent political developments as Democrats in Congress face calls for accountability. They play a clip of Oversight Committee chair Robert Garcia saying no member of the Trump family should be off-limits to investigation, and they discuss a televised exchange between Jamie Raskin and Dan Crenshaw.
The hosts criticize Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer, argue that super PAC and corporate donations shape candidates' choices, and praise Abdul El-Sayed's campaign. Listeners will hear the hosts' views on Michigan's Senate race and a petition urging Democrats to oppose Jeffries as Speaker.

All right, the new DIMMs are here, and they have a mandate. And Americans want deliverables. We want you to deliver for us materially, and we want you to hold MAGA in this horror show. We want you to hold every single one of these criminals to account. We are the party of law and order. We do not elect convicted felons. And Robert Garcia, friend of the show, incredible American, incredible congressman, chair of the Oversight Committee, says none of the Trumps are off-limits.
Enjoy. Play the clip.
Through the list that the Oversight— that you and the Oversight Democrats put out this morning concerning. Good morning to everyone, except, first, the Trump crime family. Is anyone with the last name Trump— his kids, his wife— off-limits?
Uh, no. I mean, look, if you're— if you are part of that family, you have been involved in grift, and we've seen that, right? I mean, think about everything from Don Jr.'s red wedding, getting an oligarch to pay hundred thousands of dollars for the wedding, sons sitting on boards of companies that are getting essentially contracts from the Pentagon, trying to buy private islands, $2 billion from the Saudis right when you walk out of the White House from Jared Kushner, the crypto schemes. I mean, the list goes on and on. And so there are serious, serious issues here.
There are serious allegations of what they've been involved with. Pay to play. And so we've got to investigate. We've got to have real hearings. And we've got to demand there to be justice.
Josh.
Hey, Hakeem, Chuck, that's how you answer a question, okay? I mean, I love that. That's music to our ears. He answers it unequivocally, with no denial. There's no sidestepping, no bullshit. It's just, if you've got Trump in your last name, then it's free game. Everybody's an open target. And as they should be. I mean, the reporting on the grifting of the family goes on and on and on. It's unprecedented. Trump's net wealth has increased like 300%, 400%.
I don't know what it is, but that is how you answer a question. As it should be. For anybody. If you break laws, it doesn't matter who you are. You're subject to being investigated. And there's been enough reporting, I mean, just ad nauseam, day in and day out. So kudos to Robert Garcia. Kudos to the answer of that question. I want other politicians to take note. That's how you answer a question.
That's exactly right. That he— nobody is off-limits. We are all sitting here being traumatized, watching all of this stuff go down. And Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, we have to do everything in our power to remind the new DIMMs, you were elected, and we want you to vote these people out of leadership positions. This is a historic moment that people will read about, that after this fascist takeover, the new DIMMs came in, and you can either be the Democrat that voted to Neville Chamberlain, to Merrick Garland it, and just be an appeaser, and you voted for these two losers that can't stand up to their donors, or you said, I'm a new DIMM.
I saw the mandate. I saw that we turned deep red states blue. I heard the agony of Americans that wanted affordability and accountability. And I voted to oust these compromised leaders, and I voted to oust and end the era of prostitution politics. And so we're going to put pressure on every single one of these new DIMMs. Be bold. The election results were bold. Therefore, your leaders need to be just as bold. The leaders need to match the blue nomi. And Jeffries and Chuckles do not even come close to that.
Jamie Raskin does, though. I love him. Jamie Raskin completely destroys Dan Crenshaw in a debate over corruption. I just want to remind everybody, it's probably a rough time for Dan Crenshaw. He's from Texas. Play the clip.
Stop insider trading. Funny, because that corruption was a major campaign issue. Very effective, by the way.
Oh, you want to see it happen?
Let's start with—
Let's stop there.
You want to see that happen?
Okay. Why did the Senate Democrats block the Stop Insider Trading Act, then? I bet they're willing to work with Trump on this after the midterms, but let's be very honest about it.
Wait, wait. You think Donald Trump wants to stop insider trading in the executive branch?
I think he'd vote for it. Yeah.
Look.
Do you think he would?
It passed overwhelmingly from Republicans.
Let's mark that down.
Sure, sure.
Because their whole administration is about insider.
You are missing the point. The point is—
No, you're missing the point.
And you guys lost the election because you missed the point.
Oh my God.
You're still defending the Iran war, aren't you?
Listen, listen for a second.
You're still defending the Iran war?
Listen for a second.
You got to equal unconstitutional war.
Stop interrupting me.
Love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Josh.
Look, how far has CNN fallen? That's the first thing I— when I watch this clip, I love Jamie Raskin, don't get me wrong. But watching that, it gives Dan Crenshaw a platform to talk. And it's just like a circus. It's a zoo. Letting a guy like that get on there and— and he can't— he's not capable of having any meaningful debate with Jamie Raskin. It just ends up being a circus. It's like when you're on the panel with Scott Jennings. It's just a goddamn preferral of just bullshit and nonsense. And it platforms these people that would otherwise not have any voice or opinion.
The last time I was on CNN, Dan Crenshaw was there. And it was after that that I decided I'm never doing this show again. And I love Abby, but he was sitting there lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying. And he was filibustering and hogging all the airtime. And I just thought, this is not good. This person should not be— everybody should stop him immediately and say, you are lying, and we don't allow lies on this show.
And it's why people are turning to independent sources of media like your podcast, Midas Touch, and others. Because watching that, that's just garbage. It's just total garbage. And so anyway.
All right. And then Abdul El-Sayed goes on Morning Joe this morning and shows moral clarity. And Abdul is really smart. He's a politician like Ro Khanna that goes everywhere. They go on Fox. They go on conservative podcasts. They go on liberal podcasts. They go on corporate. They go everywhere. And if you remember back from the 2024 election, Kamala was very choosy about where she went. Trump went everywhere as well. And so here is Abdul going on Morning Joe. Play the clip.
Together when it comes to rights, so that if they come for your rights, they're coming for all of our rights. Because rights are rights are rights are rights. It's not about how you use your rights. It's about whether or not you assent to government trying to take your rights. If we're committed, that government should be about providing you the basic means of a dignified life and protecting your rights. Let's all come together around that center temple and fight together. That's what I think this new iteration of the Democratic Party is doing. That's why this party looks like America, but that's also why we have a chance to actually govern on a real mandate that can solve problems for people.
He said some very important things there. He's echoing that the new DIMMs, the new DIMMs have arrived. And he said, you have a party that looks like America. And that's what's so threatening to the people over at Fox and to a lot of these bigoted Republicans. Because we do have Muslim Americans here, and they are welcome. And Abdul represents the people of Michigan, and he won by seven points. And he understands such a basic thing that corporate media tries to say doesn't exist.
Universal human rights. None of us are free until all of us are free. And that includes little Palestinian kids that we don't want to send our taxpayer money to kill. And by saying that, and by criticizing Israel for killing children, it doesn't make us a bigot. It makes us morally sound people that are brave enough to look at APAC and look at people within our own party, like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, and say, how dare you, how dare you claim to care about human rights and then vote for that horrific regime, Israel, that kills little kids?
How dare you be a hypocrite? We're not in a cult. We're not stupid. Take that shit to MAGA. It works better over there. We deserve politicians like Abdul and people in our own party, Chuck Schumer and Cory Booker. Cory Booker or somebody called and told him to tweet to endorse him, but I don't think Chuck Schumer ever really endorsed him. It's just like a tepid little tiptoe-in tweet. They weren't on the campaign trail with him. Why? Because APAC people are like, we can't have a Muslim. That throws off all of our propaganda.
Yeah. And when you don't take Israel first super PAC money, which Abdul El-Sayed doesn't, clearly, it gives you the freedom, the ability to be transparent, to go on any show that you want to. You talked about Kamala Harris and others that were guarded about places where they would go. That's because they're afraid of the questions that they're going to get asked. And so when you're a candidate like Abdul El-Sayed and others that aren't leveraged— we use that word a lot, leveraged— then it allows you to have the freedom to go anywhere and everywhere and discuss your policies and your platform for people.
And that's a huge part of this. Because these other candidates, they won't go to places. You mentioned also on the podcast that before anyone comes on your podcast, like Cory Booker, you wanted to know the questions. When you're free and not leveraged, you don't care what the questions are. You're going to show up and you're going to discuss your policy, your platform, your plan for America, and do so with freedom. Because you can give any answer you want without fear of retribution or punishment.
You don't have to change your answer based on who you're talking to.
That's right. There's freedom in that.
I would imagine that Hakeem, who wants to be the speaker of the House, who's already taken victory laps, I would imagine his conversation with Jared Kushner is completely different than his conversation that he has with the people in his district. I would argue that his conversation that he has with Big Tech, who for sure have been calling him like crazy because now they know, we can't get money to MAGA anymore, we got to go buy off the Democrats, is a completely different conversation than what he has with the American people.
And sometimes it slips out a little bit. Because I think, and this is just my opinion, I think Jared met with him and said, look, y'all are probably going to win, and it's going to be a bloodbath. If you promise to tone down investigations and stuff, we won't claim election interference. And I'll get the old man to not say cheat and cry foul and all this stuff. But tone down the investigations. Let's not impeach him. It was not about affordability. Hakeem Jeffries, in my opinion, lied to the American people when we said, why the fuck are you meeting with Jared Kushner?
What can Jared do about affordability? All he's doing is about— Jared is about taking American taxpayer money for himself. It's just not even believable. And I want accountability, not only from these Republicans. I want to know what the fuck was said between Hakeem and Jared. I want an investigation into that. That's how into investigations I'm in.
I'm sure it related to Kushner telling his story about how he lifted himself up from his bootstraps and really had to work hard, really about affordability, really. So yeah, I agree with you. Like the whole thing.
So let's move along here. Haley Stevens, who was handpicked by Chuck Schumer, Chuckles, who wants to be our leader. The same Chuckles who dicked over Angie Nixon because Angie Nixon criticized Israel. The same Chuckles who refused to go down there, refused to endorse her, refused to send her big money. And she could have won. He endorsed Haley Stevens. I'm going to suck it to him, that gal. Let's suck it to him. I see Israel in my dreams.
You sound like her.
It's not even Jewish.
You sound like her.
Thank you.
That's a good imitation.
Maybe. Thank you. Maybe. Okay. Haley Stevens responds to Abdul winning Michigan. Pop this up. Haley Stevens doesn't directly congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Michigan Senate race and says she has no regrets over voting for Mike Rogers. And to that, I want to say, shut the fuck up, Haley. Shut the fuck up. I mean, you're MAGA. You have no regrets on voting for a complete war hawk, anti-woman, homophobe bigot who has Nazi sympathizers, according to reports, on his staff.
And you see Israel in your dreams. You're a weirdo. I am so grateful that you expose the centrist game that you have more in common with MAGA than you do a progressive that doesn't take corporate money. Thank you for exposing that because that's going to help our progressive movement moving forward. From this day forward, we will look at centrists and we will say, I'm getting Haley Stevens vibes from this candidate. And that is a very important gift that you gave us as we build a people-powered new DIMM movement.
I wonder how much money APAC will give Haley Stevens now. And what is her profession? I don't know if she's a lawyer or, you know, but if she's in the private sector, is she of any help to APAC or any of these super PACs? No, she's not. And Chuck Schumer endorsed her. So what's the common thread there? Well, it's APAC. Like you said, she just needs to go away. Every time she talks, she digs the hole deeper and deeper and deeper. There's no defense for supporting Mike Rogers. Zero.
None. Anytime you talk about that, you're digging your own grave deeper and deeper.
Right. All right. And then finally, Americans showed us that they want money out of politics. Pop this up. Another big deal for getting money out of politics, Michigan voters have by 81% approved a ban on campaign contributions from electric and gas utilities. Companies whose profits depend on government decisions will no longer be able to bankroll the politicians making them.
So Michigan, we have a canary in the coal mine here. 81% bipartisanship support of money out of politics. Hakeem and Chuckles, we don't want this. We do not want politicians that have to answer, have two different sets of answers to the electorate. Because honestly, it makes us feel like you're kind of Haley Stevens-esque. And so that's the biggest gift Haley Stevens gave us. She can be a verb and she can be an adjective moving forward as we identify compromised Democrats.
For example, Hakeem Jeffries' donors being Big Tech and APAC and his private meeting with Jared Kushner make me feel like he's giving Haley Stevens vibes. And what that means is that on a dime, you can just switch and vote for a Republican. And I think that she did end up giving us a gift, and it shows us how dangerous moderates and centrists that take a shit ton of corporate PAC money are for everyday working Americans.
Final thoughts, Josh.
Well, I read something recently. The state of Montana is trying to pass a state law basically to eliminate Citizens United and Super PACs in their state, which is interesting. You would see a decision on a state law versus the Supreme Court ruling. But I mean, there are other people that feel this way. Everybody feels this way. For the obvious reasons, we don't have to regurgitate over and over, but it takes the heart and soul away from politicians, and it takes the will of the people's voice to politicians in a sense that they don't follow the will of the people.
They follow the money, and it just needs to go. Needs to go.
Completely. All right. Let's keep going to change.org. There is a petition with about half a million signatures the last time we checked to send to all of the new DIMMs that we do not want Chuck Schumer to be—sorry, Hakeem Jeffries to be Speaker of the House. The same goes, contact your senators and tell them a vote for Chuck Schumer, the way we see it, is a vote for MAGA. And we want no part of any sort of Neville Chamberlain style appeasement in this mandate that we have given them.
We want a fighter that is not beholden to corporate interest, and that's what we deserve. Make sure you like and subscribe, and we will be back later with more news.
The New Dems are making it clear they're not letting Trump and his criminal cronies off the hook.
