We have a significant development this afternoon. A top doctor is now calling for a bipartisan Congressional investigation into the mental fitness of President Donald Trump to continue serving in office. This doctor, mind you, previously was a physician for a Republican vice President, Dick Cheney, and is now saying that Donald Trump's foray into international politics, specifically his admission that this effort to take Greenland is fueled by the fact that he did not get the Nobel Peace Prize from Norway. Well, it's raising significant questions about the President's mental fitness and his ability to serve. It comes as the world is reacting to Donald Trump's renewed effort to take Greenland. And well, they're not happy. From China to Europe, everyone is essentially laughing at the United States of America right now. I'm going to show you some of the reactions. I do also want to tell you that this afternoon, Donald Trump, once again, did not rule out using the United States military to to forcibly take Greenland. This is Dr. Jonathan Reiner, who has served as a physician to former vice President Dick Cheney, saying that, quote, this letter and the fact that the President directed that it be distributed to other European countries should trigger a bipartisan Congressional inquiry into presidential fitness. Now, that's a pretty significant remark to say today. And the reason why he's saying that is not just because Donald Trump wrote a letter to the Norwegian Prime Minister, asserting that he wants Greenland as part of his efforts because he was personally grieved that they did not award him the Nobel Peace Prize, setting aside the fact that Norway has nothing to do with the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize, just the fact that the Nobel Institute is located in Oslo. But the fact that he sent that letter, or rather directed that it be sent to other European countries, is startling for Dr. Reiner. And well, today we got confirmation, essentially from Norwegian Prime Minister, Jonas Garstor, who confirmed his communication with Donald Trump, saying, I can confirm that this is a text message that I received yesterday afternoon from President Trump. It came in response to a short text message from me to President Trump sent earlier on the same day on my behalf and the President of Finland, Alexander Stub.

00:02:26

In our message to Trump, we conveyed our opposition to his announced increases against Norway, Finland, and select other countries. We pointed to the need to de-escalate and propose a telephone conversation between Trump, Stub, and myself on the same day. The response from Trump came shortly after the message was sent. It was his decision to share his message with other NATO leaders. Norway's position on Greenland is clear. Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Norway fully supports the Kingdom of Denmark on this matter. We also support that NATO, in a responsible way, is taking steps to strengthen security and stability in the Arctic. As regards the Nobel Peace Prize, I have certainly explained, including to President Trump, what is well known. The prize is awarded by the Independent Nobel Committee and not the Norwegian Government said the Prime Minister. It comes as today, according to NBC News, Donald Trump, once again, is not ruling out, essentially using military force to take Greenland. He was asked point blank by NBC News whether or not he would use force to seize Greenland, and the President says, no comment. Trump is actively stepping up his push to take possession of Greenland, even though Denmark, Europe, and even the people of Greenland, once again, time and time again, tell President Trump, We don't want to be part of your country.

00:03:53

We don't want to be part of the United States of America. And while abroad, right now, we are being ridiculed, and I say we, as in the United States, is being ridiculed by countries across the globe. Let's start with China to hear what a Chinese minister had to say about the President's efforts to take Greenland.

00:04:10

Clarified our positions on Greenland multiple times. The International law, based on the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, is the foundation of the existing international order. It must be safeguarded. We urge the USA to stop using the so-called China threat as a pretext to gain selfish gains.

00:04:32

When he says the China threat, he's referring to the fact that President Trump has repeatedly said that China will take Greenland if the United States is unsuccessful, and that Chinese ships are currently stationed right off the Coast of Greenland. He's not the only one, though. Take a listen to what the Brits have to say right now.

00:04:53

Nato allies who are standing in the way he feels of his attempt to seize Greenland. And then overnight, we had this extraordinary situation where communication between the President and the Norwegian Prime Minister was released, in which Donald Trump said he'd shifted his focus from peace because he'd not been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. And Now a further escalation where he is indicating that he is not rolling out at this stage the use of force clearly in his desire to seize Greenland. No comment, he replied when asked that question. The whole threat that the President is issuing in relation to Greenland, be it tariffs or military action, is directly motivated by his grievance over not winning the Nobel Prize.

00:05:39

Let's hear what the Europeans have to say as well.

00:05:42

The European Union supports Denmark and the people of Greenland, and we do so united in our resolve. The measures threatened over the weekend by the United States administration will not help improve security in the Arctic. In fact, they risk the opposite. Greenland and Denmark have both made clear that Greenland is not for sale and that their sovereignty and territorial integrity needs to be respected. That fact will not change.

00:06:21

It's pretty clear. Let's hear what one Danish official told MSNOW.

00:06:24

We're doing everything we can and should do as a good ally of the Americans, and we hope we can keep it that way and we don't become enemies.

00:06:33

Rasmus, you may be somewhat dismayed to hear what one of Donald Trump's senior advisors, Stephen Miller, had to say. Please take a listen to this. I'll get your reaction on the other side.

00:06:43

Denmark is a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military. They cannot defend Greenland. They cannot control the territory of Greenland. Under every understanding of law that has existed about territorial control for 500 years, to control a territory, you have to be able to defend a territory, improve a territory, inhabit a territory. Denmark has filled in every single one of these tests.

00:07:12

Rasmus, you gave a pretty comprehensive answer pretty much countering everything Steven Miller had to say before I asked this question. But if you could say one thing to Steven Miller, what would you like to say?

00:07:26

I hope he's kept away from young women because that's the mentality of a rapist. You can't defend yourself, so I'm going to take you. That's basically what he's saying, and it has never been like that international law that he's saying. On the contrary, United States have signed several treaties with Denmark recognizing the ownership.

00:07:44

One of them- That's a statement from a Danish parliament member, and it comes as today, Danish troops have arrived in Greenland. They are there, they are on the ground, and they are ready to protect their land. I will continue to provide you more updates, obviously, as we get more information.
