00:00:25

Was?

00:00:26

Schaffst du ganz entspannt mit WISO Steuer.

00:00:28

Ach ja.

00:00:32

Chris Cody, how'd you feel about your performance there with the great Linda Cohn?

00:00:35

I do believe I bounced back from that awkward interaction when I tried to do it the first time.

00:00:39

Yeah, that was okay. I always like talking to Linda Cohn, she's fantastic. Good for her, huh? 35 years. So I do want to let you guys know that right now, if you want to continue bathing in Celtic tears, right now on Netflix— don't want you to go right now, you're watching/listening to us and then you'll go over— Bill Simmons is doing uh, his reaction. He's doing his reaction podcast to the Jaylen Brown trade, and apparently I'm being told that the reason he didn't do it last night was because he got a colonoscopy yesterday. When he got the news, he thought he died.

00:01:14

Wow.

00:01:14

And what was worse for him, having somebody put something up his, uh, or this trade? I'm just curious.

00:01:22

You ever have a colonoscopy?

00:01:23

I've had a few.

00:01:24

A few?

00:01:24

Yeah, I've had like 3.

00:01:26

Yeah, I've had a colonoscopy once.

00:01:27

Thank God for anesthesia. Yep. Oh my gosh.

00:01:30

Wet and wild. Not fun. So if I could tell you though, last night was awesome between the, the US game and the Jaylen Brown news. Uh, last night was real— last night was one of those sports nights that was— it was legitimate fun.

00:01:51

Historically, and if you sample the worldwide leader, a lot of media personalities go on vacation around this time of year because it's supposed to be the slow time of sport. Serena Williams attends to come back at Wimbledon and it can't crack the news cycle. We haven't even discussed today England versus DR Congo. DR Congo, England was such an incredible game and it was the first time. And I mean, this happens occasionally with Super Bowl matchups where the Super Bowl, I'm just rooting for the matchup that I want to see. But I was rooting against Cinderella. Yeah, I was rooting against DR Congo. And that goes against most sports fans.

00:02:28

You didn't want the doctor to win, huh?

00:02:30

I didn't want the doctor to win because I want I wanted England to go into Azteca Stadium. I wanted that theater. I wanted that theater in the next round. Far more compelling. Granted, what's more compelling than DR Congo eliminating England so early on? But that game was incredible. Posse was phenomenal until he wasn't letting in the equalizer. And then Harry Kane, who struggled to create space all game long, he could not find any space. Forces the issue, makes it for himself. An incredible strike. An all-time legend for England. An all-time moment. That was phenomenal. And on Sunday, we get England versus Mexico in Azteca. Are you guys familiar with Mexico's all-time record in competitive matches in Azteca?

00:03:16

I am not. Are you? I bet you are.

00:03:18

I am going to pull it up right now. They have 2 losses all time. Here is their record. In Azteca. Mexico's competitive record: 70 wins, 17 draws, 2 losses all time in Azteca Stadium. That is what England is going up against.

00:03:37

Wow.

00:03:37

I do want to mention we don't have a live show tomorrow because it is a Fourth of July holiday for this weekend. So we're going to be back on Monday, which is the 6th, which is the day that everything becomes official in the NBA calendar year. Could we be back here on Monday with some major Miami Heat news?

00:03:57

We could. I think so.

00:03:58

Could be major. Look, LeBron in all likelihood is selecting his next destination.

00:04:04

You're telling me he doesn't know right now?

00:04:05

This weekend.

00:04:06

Come on.

00:04:07

It's going to happen. Remember that Fourth of July that was totally hijacked by Gordon Hayward? Think that.

00:04:13

Is that the—

00:04:14

is that the Kevin Durant one?

00:04:15

Think that same year. Yeah, think that, but now with LeBron. That's awesome.

00:04:20

It's 10 years later because that was 2016. Here we are once again on LeBron watch. The fact that we're sitting here 16 years later, it's insane, doing the same thing and feel the same way, which is right now the same way it was like, oh, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, like, that can definitely compete for the Eastern Conference and hopefully compete for a championship, right? But if you get LeBron, you can compete for a championship. It's the same way I feel right now. This Heat team, as presently constructed with whatever additions they can make in the margins, I'm like, that team can compete for the East. But if you get LeBron, you can compete for a championship. It's been 16 years.

00:04:59

It's so incredible. He's 25 when they first signed him in 2010. 41 now. I still think of him as a great player. I know he's not as great as he once was. Still a great player.

00:05:11

He's gonna be a grandfather during the season.

00:05:12

Wow.

00:05:13

He's gonna be a grandfather.

00:05:15

But, but, but his partner is pregnant. He's gonna be a grandfather, right?

00:05:19

Will he play long enough for his grandson to play on the team with him?

00:05:23

If you ask Nick Wright, yes.

00:05:24

You guys mentioned the long holiday weekend. Hey, look at me. Like, weekend, look at me. Rain, stay away.

00:05:33

Let's go away.

00:05:34

Wouldn't have been rain Rain, go away.

00:05:37

Hey, stay away.

00:05:39

I've been so unfortunate with these Fourth of July tickets that I purchased to Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, I thought I was buying Germany-France. It's Paraguay-France. That's a bummer. All right, so now I'm not going to capitulate. I'm going to go. I'm going on that trip with my daughter. Here's the weather forecast: 100 degrees, clear skies up until match time, 90% chance of thunderstorms during the match. And any Fourth of July plans that you had in Philadelphia, cancel them too.

00:06:05

Hey, wash out. Hey, Rain, stay away.

00:06:09

Jeremy, you got some polls you can update for us today?

00:06:30

00:07:10

00:07:11

00:07:12
