In this episode of The Dan Bongino Show, Dan Bongino argues that Democrats are pursuing political targeting and impeachment threats ahead of the midterm elections, and urges listeners to vote rather than stay home. He discusses early voting, which he says he opposes but advises people to use, and cites recent economic figures such as GDP growth.
The show also covers an alleged ballot scandal in Alaska, investigations involving Ilhan Omar, and Justice Department fraud cases. Guest Brendan Dilley joins to discuss political messaging, short-form video, and how campaigns can reach younger audiences.
Listeners will hear the host's case for voting on results, along with the objections critics raise in response.

We are not sunk yet. We will never surrender. We will never give up, never, never, never. It's not who we are, it's not what we do. We never give up.
All America, all the time. Sit down, buckle up, and get ready for "The Dan Bongino Show."
I hope you listened to the advice of the greatest to ever have done it, the greatest to ever will do it, the 30-year patriarch of this amazing movement, the great God rest his soul, Rush Limbaugh. I'm not giving up, folks. I'm not giving up. I'm never giving up. I'm— ever. I don't care if we lose every freaking seat on Tuesday. Well, I care, but I don't care. It's not going to change my reaction the next day. It's not going to change it at all.
This place? This is ours. This is our house. No matter what happens— gutters break, the roof leaks— you don't just say, "Hey, I'm forfeiting the house and I'm walking away." That's not the way this works. It's your house. It's your house, man. There's way too much negativity out there starting to infect our side of the aisle. I can't believe it. I'm just actually stunned, based on this 2-year record of excellence that we have right in front of us to vote on, that there's even a consideration of sitting home.
Please don't. I got Brendan Dilley coming on later to talk about exactly this. Folks, they're looking to target Big Balls, too? Like, what? Why are they— remember Big Balls, this Doge kid? I'm not making it up. Like, that was his nickname or something. He was some Doge kid. I'm not kidding. He was a guy. And he did a great job. Very smart guy. He was only there to clean up government waste. And they were on podcasts like, "Maybe we should randomly target Trump administration." What about Big Balls?
No. Yes. This actually happened. This is what you're voting for? I thought we were voting on affordability and the economy. The Democrats don't care about that. That's not even a thing. That's not even item 1 through 3, 4, 5. It's not even item 100. It's impeach, lock up Big Balls, and others. They're openly talking about this right now. These are not fringe figures either. You've been warned. We still got time. Early voting going on.
Elections on Tuesday. Make sure you join us election night at 8:00 PM. rumble.com/bongino. Download the Rumble app. I got a big show for you today. Let's get right to it. Folks, it's Medicare's annual enrollment period right now. It's one time of the year you can make changes to your Medicare coverage. I know with all the sales calls and mailers, it's easy to get overwhelmed and to throw your hands up in confusion. But stay with me on this. 70% of people on Medicare never compare their options. They just let it ride. I get it. Medicare is confusing. My wife's mom had some questions and nobody talked to her about it. Every call turned into a sales pitch, right?
But letting it ride is a big mistake. Your plan next year can look very different from this year, and you could be left without the coverage you need when you need it most. I sent my mother-in-law over to Chapter. They were amazing. Chapter's advisors were the only Medicare advisors that compare every plan nationwide. They're independent. They're honest. They're not paid to push one plan over another plan. Chapter answered every question in plain English. Easy to understand. It was definitely worth our time. All this help is free, by the way, about 20 minutes or less. So call Chapter at 667-CHAPTER.
Call Chapter today at 667-CHAPTER. Hear about your options. Don't be the 70%. Thanks, Chapter. We appreciate it. A lot to talk about today. Folks, it is now— it's not crunch time. It's beyond crunch time. You're at the 1-yard line. There's 3, 4 seconds left to go in the game. You're going to— you ever see that Al Pacino speech from— was that movie "Any Given Sunday"? Life's a game of inches. I'm not a huge fan of Al Pacino, whatever. Hollywood actors, do your thing, whatever. I don't really care. However, the scene's pretty freaking amazing. You should check it out sometime.
Life is a game of inches. Wind blows a little bit different this way. You turn the wrong way this way on the football field, and you wind up losing the game. You kick the ball on a field goal attempt 1 millimeter in the wrong spot. The thing is an inch wide left. Life's a game of inches, and you got to fight for everyone. That fight's never going to stop. That fight's not going to go away. Even if we were to win more seats in the House and Senate on Tuesday, you know what?
Wake up Wednesday morning, celebrate, and then get right back to work. The inverse. We get annihilated on Tuesday. What are you going to do? Wake up the next day and go, "I'm moving to Canada"? We're not doing that. Folks, if you decide to stay home, if you decide to stay home and say, "This election is not for me," remember this. The old adage. You may not do politics, but politics does you. And it does you good and hard. However you want to take that. It doesn't matter if you do politics.
Politics does you. Folks, I saw this yesterday, and I sent it over to the guys on text. I'm like, "Do you believe this?" They are now— I want you to understand, like, the hallmark of a totalitarian, tyrannical, fascist state is political repression, where they target people and invent the crime. The target of a republic is you target a crime and go find the people. I walk into the local police station. Oh my gosh, my house was burglarized last night. The sheriff's department comes over.
They fingerprint the house. They check out the video. Oh, look, we've got the guy. Here's a license plate. That's how it works. A totalitarian state, they target people, and they go and find the crime later. That is what the Democrats are openly advertising right now. If you were to put them back in power this coming Tuesday. Here's Kara Swisher. Kara Swisher is not a fringe figure. She has a hugely popular podcast, does probably millions of downloads a month.
Hillary Clinton was on her show the other day. She gets major political figures on— is anyone going to renounce this? Here she is. You think I was making this up about the Big Balls thing? I mean, I know the title's kind of funny, but it's not a joke. She's like, "We just need to start targeting people." Like, what? Like, randomly? Because they work for President Trump? They raised their right hand and promised to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So we just target them because we— what? We can? Here she is saying, "Hey, we're just going to go pick people. Maybe let's go get Big Balls."
Yeah. This actually happened. Check this out.
But Catherine, as you point out, are there actually any teeth? Is there potential for there to be teeth? It seems unlikely in the next 2 years.
One of the things— let me just click on that. They could just pick a few people. To me, that's the way you go. You pick, like, a Hegseth, a Musk, and— I don't know— Big Balls. Someone like that. Like, pick someone like that and then, you know, show what they did, right? And rather than go for Trump, go for everybody. Make it so broad that it'll exhaust people who just do want to move on.
I don't— Andrew's like, "Are they talking about—" Folks, do you understand what she just said? This is not some— now, the ideas are fringe and crazy. I want to be clear on that. But Kara Swisher is not a fringe component of the progressive socialist communist left. She's a major considered mainstream political figure. She has specials on CNN. She's not some, you know, on the left considered some crazed lunatic.
She's just randomly throwing names at— notice she makes no formal accusation or informal accusation of a crime at all. It's like, maybe we should just— maybe we should just start randomly targeting. Oh, go get Big Balls. For those of you who don't know who Big Balls was, he was a Doge staffer who did nothing wrong. He went into government to lean out government, did an excellent job, and he had some nickname, whatever, Big Balls, like a joke. So Kara Swisher's like, "Maybe we should just, like, target him and what?
Like, throw him in jail?" Folks, I want you to understand what you are voting for if you vote by staying home. Staying home is not voting. No, it's voting. It's voting for— it's allowing the Democrats to win because you took a pass. There is no taking a pass. You may not do politics, but politics does you, man. Politics does you. Folks, they're going to go after Hegseth, too. Are they going to impeach Trump?
I would say the odds are close to 90%. They are also going to try to impeach Pete Hegseth, who has been doing Yeoman's work, trying to clean up our military juice recruitment again, getting us back to war fighting, away from DEI, getting us more focused on weapon and supply chains acquisitions. And they hate it. They freaking hate it. They can't stand it. They are not looking to impeach Pete Hegseth, our Secretary of War, because Pete Hegseth did something wrong.
They're looking to impeach him because he did something right. Here's President Trump backing up his people, commenting on exactly this yesterday, saying, "Are you guys insane?" Folks, I want you to understand what sitting out means. If you think they're coming to fatten up your wallet, get you more productive at work and a bigger salary, if they're coming to secure your communities and do— they're doing none of that, the Democrats. They're going to reverse all of that.
Check this out.
Are you worried about Democratic rhetoric about trying to impeach Pete Hegseth and they win?
I think it's terrible. All they do is they talk about impeaching everybody. I mean, honestly, if we wanted to play that game, we could play it just as well. But they're talking about Pete Hegseth. He's doing a great job. He's a great warrior. I think he's the best at his job in many, many years. And a lot of people agree with that.
Folks, we're running out of time to warn people. We're running out of time to do our 10, 10, and 10. Grab 10 people. Bring them to the polls. Drag them to the polls if you have to. Call 10 people. Make 10 social media posts over the weekend. There is still time. Some of these races look great. Some of them look good. Some of them don't look good. It doesn't do me any good to paint you some ridiculous utopian vision where we're going to clean up and win all 400-plus seats in the House and 100 seats in the Senate. Not even all of them. There's only a third of the Senate. But you get the point.
We've got to show up. The action, the do matters, the filling in the bubble, the touch the screen, the pull the lever, whatever you need to do. Every member of your family, every one of your neighbors. Folks, the president's 80 years old. He's going back— just so you know, he's going back to Iowa and Kansas now. He's in Florida this weekend. He's all over the country. He's asking you for one more round for this Trump agenda so we can keep all of this good stuff going. Huge economic numbers yesterday. I'll get to that in a second. The border being closed, crime getting crushed. And folks, if you sit home and choose not to vote, that is a vote.
It is a vote for this. I want to spend a moment here on a tweet yesterday that rocketed around the interwebs. It was from Elon Musk, who's got a small following on X. He's got a couple. What do you have, like, two— is it 200 million or something? I don't even know. Elon Musk is taking great risks to do this. Whether you like Elon Musk or don't, I appreciate what his entrepreneurship has done for the human race. But even if you don't like him, can we at least acknowledge that Elon Musk as a businessman is taking tremendous risk now, trying to warn you, trying to warn you about what's going to happen if you sit home and the Democrats win?
There's no question they are going to tyrannically target his businesses for doing nothing other than having a set of political beliefs. He put this out yesterday. I'm going to read some of it for you because I need you to digest all of this. All of it. I quote tweeted it this morning. Elon says, "My biggest concern is there's a clean sweep by the Dems of the House-Senate presidency by 2028. They'll make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate. Two, they'll open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
Three, they will increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority. It will result— listen to this— it would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word. All that's needed to ensure this doesn't happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That's why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one." Folks, please. You know, I brought this up on the podcast yesterday.
I'm asking you— I know it's hard. It's hard for me too sometimes— to divorce your emotions from the results. If you are an old-school establishment Republican and you just don't like President Trump, his discursive speaking style, you don't like his social media posts, those are emotional reactions. You know, Peggy Noonan has this piece out in the Wall Street Journal. And I can't say this up. I enjoy Peggy Noonan's work. None of this is personal. I read her op-eds. She's definitely an old-school type of Republican. She wrote this whole piece yesterday suggesting that the Republican Party under Donald Trump should get routed in this election.
I'm acting as if there's no consequences in the real world for such a decision. That's an emotional thing. That's not a results-based or even reasonable thing to write. You want to hand the country over to a bunch of people threatening to prosecute freaking Big Balls, stack the Senate, pack the Supreme Court, open the borders, let criminals run free on our streets, defund, isolate your kids, get raped, murdered, and killed because you had an emotional reaction to Donald Trump?
Well, he doesn't act in a dignified— well, that's your opinion. That's an emotional response. It's not based on any results. Folks, I know too a lot of you have objections to early voting. I do. I've spoken about this. I don't even want to put a number on it. So many freaking times. I've run for office a couple of times. When you run for office, you see early voting differently. I hate early voting.
Let me just get on the record so everybody's clear because I always get people who email me back things they think I said when I actually said the opposite. Happens all the time. It's happening now with my segment the other day about getting prepared. This is, like, everywhere. Go put my name on some Google alert. There's got to be 5, 10,000 articles out there and news pieces about people thinking, like, the end of the world is coming. Get prepared because it's good to be prepared. However, what are the things on early voting? I am not a supporter. Matter of fact, I hate it. There should be one national uniform election day with limited exceptions: military overseas, people who are in nursing homes, hospice, infirmed, can't get out, and legitimate emergencies.
I'll be traveling on a business trip. Here's the plane tickets. I will not be home to vote. Therefore, I may need an exception to that. That's it. Early voting is a mess. When you're a candidate, you'll see this yourself. I'll call early voting an incumbency protection program. If you are a well-financed incumbent, you love early voting because you can go out there, you can pay people to sit at the polls for 3 weeks in California for 7 months while they're voting. You can pay people and door knockers over and over and over to go out and go out and harvest votes.
On election day, it's kind of like, show up that day or not. And even insurgent, not very well-financed, but first-time candidates stand a shot. I hate early voting. However, this is the unpopular part, but I'm not here to popularity contest. I think that's clear at this point. I tell people all the time things they don't want to hear because they're true. My reputation matters to me. Folks, we're stuck with early voting.
And until we change it, we should bank our votes. It is just a matter of tactical efficiency, not emotional responses to it. I hate it, but it's here. Car accidents happen on election day. Traffic happens. Work things happen. We got to work late and you miss. We need to bank our votes. We're stuck with this system. Until we can trash it and go back to the far superior national election day, this is what we're stuck with.
I get worried with early voting too if we don't bank our votes because it leads to a narrative problem too with the doomers that dissuades people from voting. Oh, my gosh. Look, Democrats are crushing us in the early voting. Well, Democrats vote early and we don't. So it gives them a narrative. And more people go, "I'm not voting. They're crushing us in early voting." Here's what I mean. Here's a Mark Halperin clip from his show. This isn't Mark talking, but here's a guy talking about Texas. And he's basically saying this: that the early voting numbers are through the roof. They're through the roof.
But we don't know who's voting. It's a secret ballot. That creates a problem because the liberal media is now telling people, "Oh, my gosh, it's early voting." Democrats, they don't know that. Democrats are showing up in droves. Check this out.
I looked deep into Texas numbers today and their turnout is on fire right now. They get 5.5 million people who've already voted. There's only 4.5 million votes that were cast in '22 early, 7.3 million in '24 in the presidential race. They're going to get to close to probably over 10 million. And the presidential race, only 11.4 voted there. They have massive turnout. But when I dug into three random rural GOP counties and two random rural DEM counties, they're both turning out about the same pace.
It's not like you look at Hayes and Duvall, which are DEMs, and go, "Oh, man, they're way ahead of Potter and Walker and Howard in different parts of the state." It seems in Texas specifically, which I spent about an hour looking at, there's good turnout on both sides. But there are a lot of people voting in Texas.
Folks, the point I'm trying to make to you is you don't know who they voted for. I thought this was clear. There are liberals out there and doomers who don't understand it's a secret ballot. Yeah, but it's registered Republicans and Democrats showing up. That doesn't mean they're going to vote Republican and Democrat. It's probably likely they are, more than likely. But we don't know. A lot of registered Democrats vote for Donald Trump and the Trump agenda. It gives them a narrative. Here's another reason I can't stand early voting, but we're stuck with it.
That's why I'm asking you, despite my hatred of this process— I mean, visceral, like, blood-boiling hatred of this process— that you bank your vote if you can today. Most of it will be shut down this weekend. Please. It gives them a narrative. Let me just describe to you one more reason, though. I can't stand this. Folks, early voting, people vote and they miss critical information. I'm not talking about Republicans. If you're going to early vote and vote for the Republican straight ticket, I don't care if you voted a month ago or not.
If you are an independent voter watching the Dan Bongino show and you're on the fence, Republican or Democrat, and you already cast a vote for the Democrat because you're voting on your wallet, which Politico— can you throw out a Politico playbook thing? Politico playbook put this out. 37%, a huge number of voters, are saying this is their number one issue, the economy. So if you're on the fence and you voted seven months ago in California— being a little ridiculous, but you get the point— you missed all of this. Here, New Gala polling shows the economy is the number one issue for voters in the midterms.
They call it, quote, "very important." 37, nearly 40%, nearly 4 in 10 voters call it very important. If you early voted and you were on the fence, you missed all of this. This is MSNOW, formerly MSNBC. MSNBC. I mean, isn't it fairly obvious they hate President Trump and would do, like, nothing more than to put out negative information days before the election? Here's Stephanie Ruhl at MSNBC saying how these economic numbers that just came out, that you would have missed if you early voted, at 3.4%, are not good, but they're great.
Great, like, a quote? Yes. She actually says these are great numbers. You missed all this. If you're voting on your wallet, then this is what you would be voting for. Check this out.
The economy is at front and center of this election, but the new GDP numbers just crossed.
It's great. 3.4%. That is a great number. Really strong.
Look at Al. You see Al Sharpton's face? Al Sharpton's on the set. If you missed it on— you listened on audio— Al Sharpton doesn't know what to do. Al Sharpton's looking at it like, "Dammit. 3.4 GDP growth. That's spectacular. It's got to happen a week before the election." Folks, here's the kicker. I'm going to take a quick break here. But the numbers would have been even better. Look at Al. Check out Al. Al don't know what to do. Al lost a lot of LBs, but look at Al.
Look at how he's withering away there. He don't know what to do. Numbers are great. Al's like, "Really? I don't understand economics." Remember that John Stossel segment with Al Sharpton? I think rich people should pay more. They should pay closer to 10%. They already pay 40%, Stossel tells him. And he just moves on because he doesn't know anything. The numbers would have been even better if it wasn't for this one quirky thing about how we calculate growth in our economy. This is not going to be a wonky segment, but I need you to listen to this next piece of video audio.
I need you to listen to this next piece of video and audio from with Kevin Hassett, one of the Trump administration's lead economists. I need you to listen to this because even the part that's subtracted from GDP is actually a positive and may lead to even more growth next quarter if you don't vote against— if you vote against this Trump agenda, all this is going to stop. Even the bad news was good news. Quick break. Folks, collagen. A huge believer in collagen.
Please go look up the tremendous beneficial effects of collagen. It is one of my staples. I have three or four go-to supplements I will not miss every single day. I get my collagen from NativePath. It's fantastic. The collagen peptides here. I'm actually taking this one home because I ran out. I just told the guys that. You guys know my health history. I don't mess with supplements unless it's helping my body. I'm very careful about what I put in it. Too old to be screwing around. So every day, Paul and I have been taking collagen for years. We love it.
Look at her skin. It looks amazing. I mean, it's amazing for joints, for my joints. I feel so much better since I've been taking it. I've got a really bad problem with knees, creaky knees, getting old. Collagen is a protein that helps hold your body together. It's critical. After 30, our bodies lose 1 to 2 percent of collagen every year. That's a problem. But here's how taking collagen is helping me. I got the bad elbows, shoulders, and knees. I told you about that. Collagen is unbelievable for helping me with joint stiffness and mobility. NativePath, as in my opinion, is some of the best collagen peptides out there.
I use it every single day. It helps support muscle. It helps support muscles, especially if you're exercising every day. It's great for helping with bone density. And Paula will tell you how great collagen is for her skin and hair. I got you over 45% off, free shipping, and a 365-day money-back guarantee. That's how confident they are in their product. If you don't feel a real difference in your health, like I did, get your money back. No questions asked. Simple. How do you get it? You go to getnativepath.com/dan.
That's getnativepath.com/dan. getnativepath.com/dan. Check out their collagen peptides today. You're going to love them. These statements and products have not been evaluated by the FDA. The product is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease or condition. Consult with a healthcare professional. Thanks, NativePath. I want you to listen to this video because if you voted early and you were on the fence, you missed all of this. A huge plurality of American voters are voting on the economy, which is exploding right now.
I get it. Not every single person is being lifted up everywhere. We're still recovering from the Biden inflation mess, the regulatory mess, the overspending mess. But there's no question, if you believe in numbers, we're on the right track. Here's Hassett explaining how even this quirk in the GDP calculation, exports minus imports, means that there are foreign governments and foreign businesses reindustrializing and investing back in the United States.
How's that a negative? It's not. That's the point. It's just a quirk in the number. Check this out.
The inflation number that we got today was pretty much right on expectation. What keeps happening is that the real output numbers have been outperforming analyst forecasts by a lot. And this is another example of that, that we've got a really huge 3% growth that's headed towards 4% growth. The reason why it was, like, dragged down below even 5 was there were these massive imports of capital goods, which are going to produce future GDP. And the other thing that you can see when you have a supply-side boom like this is it does put, despite the energy issues of the Middle East, it puts downward pressure on prices.
So the GDP deflator was right about at the Fed's target. And so when you look at the price of everything, then the inflation story is much better than what you see in the top-line PCE, which does include, as Kevin Worth said, the energy price shock.
So even if you're voting on your wallet and you're still on the fence, or if you made the mistake of early voting for the Democrats because you missed this and you're voting on your wallet, the GDP number would have been even bigger. The problem is, for the calculation, not for the country, is a lot of foreign companies, what they'll do is they'll build factories in the United States. A lot of those companies have supply chains. A lot of domestic companies have factories overseas. Anything we import into the economy is subtracted from exports. It's subtracted just because of the way they calculate it.
It's gross domestic product. Domestic product. That's why. When you look at gross national product, gross national income, the numbers are even better. The numbers are even better. The inflation number also came in around 3%. Is it great? No. What was it under Biden? It was 5% average. What did it peak at? 9%. Three times as high. Folks, if you're voting on your wallet, you only have one choice. Also, if you're a swing voter and you haven't voted yet and you're in the state of Michigan, this is a guy, El Sayed in Michigan, who could control the balance of the Senate.
This guy is a national security problem for the United States if he gets in the Senate. He is a Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer. The stuff that's coming out now every day about El Sayed, if you early voted, you missed this. How are you voting for this guy? Look at this New York Post article. If you're still on the fence, the choice is Mike Rogers in Michigan. Clear as day. Abdullah El Sayed's dad sits on a board of Islamic charity accused of funneling cash to Saddam Hussein. How is this even a real story?
Folks, how is this even a real story? If you're still on the fence in Alaska and you're thinking about voting for Mary Peltola, who I hear is a genuinely awful person who treats her staff like absolute trash, the Democrat candidate, she just got busted, her team, in a massive political scandal to get you guys in Alaska, and ladies, to pull the wool over your head. I said yesterday, you know, growing up in Queens, we loved playing basketball. It was the only sport we could really afford, right?
If you got dunked on, people would be like, "Man, you just got worked." You're getting worked in Alaska. If you voted early for Peltola, does it now bother you that she tried to kick you right in the nuts and screw you over by putting what looks like to be a decoy on the ballot so you would vote for the wrong Republicans so she would win? How does that not bother you? Here's a guy by the name of Dan Turner talking about this, how a lot of people already voted in Alaska who are totally unaware of this massive scandal surfacing right now.
Another reason I hate early voting. Check this out.
President Trump was absolutely right to call. For the Peltola campaign to be investigated for this cheating scandal. This is a level of low that has to stop in American politics. And the fact that the candidate herself seems to have been heavily involved in orchestrating it. Now she's blaming the New York Times, saying that they're just looking for clicks and likes and views. It's just shameful. It really questions early voting because thousands of Alaskans would have changed their vote if they knew this was happening.
But they can't because we've been early voting for flipping ever. The stupidest things that we do is destroy our elections and question our election integrity by all of this nonsense.
I just want to wrap this up in a bow for you and make it really simple. I get it. You understand. I hope. I hate early voting. Point is, we're stuck with it. I live in the real world. I just told you, don't get emotional about things. Work up around results. You want to get results, early vote, bank your vote. If you can still go today, go today. I'm sorry. We're stuck with it. You can hate it just like I hate it. I hope we can do everything in our power to change it if we maintain the presidency, the House, and Senate. I live in the real world, though. And right now, we're stuck with it. The system is trash, but it's the best system we have right now.
That's it. That's all we've got. Folks, I'm not going back to the Biden economy. I'm not going back to the Biden open borders. I'm not going back to the Barack Obama's Ferguson effect. I'm not going back to defund the police. I'm not going back to defund the I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that. I love this country. That's the only reason I went back and served. If you think I did it for the money, you're freaking delirious. I love this place.
It matters to me, and I know it matters to you, too. So many people sacrificed so much for us to live in the most prosperous, strong country on this rock we call Earth. Why would we give this up? I'm not going back. And there's so many amazing things happening. I have Brendan Dilley coming up in a minute from the Dilley Show. But I've never seen an election like this, folks.
Sorry. This is not like one of these, like, note in a chart. Get a note in a I've never seen so many good things happen and so many people pretending to be part of our party object to them. Man, listen to me for a second. I'm not BSing you. Things we had wanted for a generation of conservative politics. Folks, I love Ronald Reagan. I wanted a controlled, closed border with legal immigration only.
Reagan didn't do it, folks. I love Reagan. I love him still. But Simpson-Mozoly and that bill, it was a disaster. It was basically an amnesty program. The Tea Party movement nearly got broken up because of amnesty-type proposals. Things we voted for forever: safe streets, back to crushing violent crime, the reindustrialization of America, government deregulation, a shrinking of the government workforce. That all happened.
Cracking down on billions and trillions of dollars over time of government fraud and waste we all knew was happening. It's happening every single day now. Every day. What are you voting against? I'm going to tell you something. It was fascinating living through this on the other side. I hadn't been in government for a while. It really was. Because you had one side, the doomers who want this country to burn.
They're not part of our movement. You had doomers telling you every day, and I'm going to tell you something. They were effective early on. They had people believing that the Trump administration over two years did absolutely nothing. They had people actually believing this. One side's telling you, the doomers, it's actually both the same side, but one pretend side, "Oh, nothing is happening." And then you've got the other side, the liberals and the media complaining about all the stuff that's happening is partisan stuff. "I can't believe Ilhan Omar is the subject of an investigation."
That investigation started under Obama, you dipwads? What is Obama, hyper-partisan conservative? Which story is true? Nothing happening or stuff happening? The answer is, which is insane, the other side was right. It's just their complaints were wrong. There was a lot of stuff happening. It wasn't partisan at all. Here's Josh Hammer on Newsmax commenting on exactly this, the Omar and Swalwell investigations.
How are these partisan? They're all innocent until proven guilty. Thank the Lord they're entitled to a due process, constitutional big R rights system. But Josh Hammer is commenting exactly this: "These investigations, there were Democrats involved in these who started a lot of these, too." Check this out.
We don't actually know what's in these warrants in general. We don't know exactly what was in the warrant, by the way, that the judge in Washington, DC, signed off when it comes to the Ilhan Omar raid. That's just not the kind of thing that we have public access to. But I think my colleague and friend Will makes a very good point, which is that when you have, in this case, Alvin Bragg, who's on the same side as Todd Blanche, this does not exactly look like a partisan witch hunt. By the way, very similar to Ilhan Omar, where the judge there was actually a Clinton donor who clerked for an Obama judge twice. So very similar thing there and here.
Do those sound like partisan investigations? What, from Democrats? Folks, one, the nothing is happening stuff you can throw in the garbage. But the complaints from the left about the things that are happening that the doomers told you aren't happening, that they're partisan. Don't get angry at the Trump administration, me and others included, for going in there and cleaning up messes that other administrations left behind.
And again, to address the people out there who are staying home because nothing's happening or I believe some diaper-wearing loser on X talking about nothing's happening. Here's another one. What is this, like, story number 50 now about voter fraud? This is a huge issue with me. This just came out yesterday. Justice Department charges 18 more in North Carolina with illegally voting in the 2024 election. A DOJ has charged 30 people in North Carolina just this year for illegally voting.
I thought nothing was happening. Nothing will happen if we elect like the Democrats because Todd Blanche, Kash Patel, me, and others are going to spend nothing more than time up on Capitol Hill answering for the things that are happening that the doomers told you didn't happen. There's not going to be any time to make anything else happen. Here's Colin McDonald yesterday, one of the Department of Justice attorneys out there leading the fraud effort that we've been begging for for generations. Please go clean up this mess of government moochers and freaking parasites stealing our freaking hard-earned tax dollars.
It is happening on a massive scale now. Billions and billions of dollars being saved. Here's Colin McDonald on yet another scheme they tied up yet. This was just yesterday. This is just this week. Yes, it's happening. Check this out.
We are announcing the results, the first results of Operation Ghostbusters, a nationwide effort to stop a major fraud scheme targeting federal student aid, low-income Americans, and the American taxpayer. It is schemes like this one that President Trump, Vice President Vance, and the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud are resolved to defeat. Let me briefly describe how this scheme works. First, criminals steal the identities of real Americans.
They specifically target Americans who haven't attended college. They use those stolen identities to create ghost students to apply to colleges across the country. Next, they apply for federal student aid using those same stolen identities. And if successful at duping the Department of Education, ED then sends the aid money to the college where the ghost student is enrolled. After tuition and fees are deducted, the leftover federal funds are deposited directly into bank accounts controlled by fraudsters.
And in a flash, the money vanishes, often overseas to places like Kenya. Investigators believe this fraud has been ongoing since at least 2021, potentially reaching several hundred million dollars lost.
Folks, this is just this week. I could play this stuff on loop. You're like, "Wait, we saw Colin McDonald before." No, it's a different video. We have, what, five or ten of those? We have been complaining about government waste, moochers, and parasites on the system, government employees we didn't need, and leaning out the federal government for eons. And now it's all happening. This is good stuff. You've got it rolling downhill now. We've got momentum. We're trading potential for kinetic energy.
The kinetic energy is happening. This is not, "Trust me, bro. It'll roll down the hill eventually." It is rolling. We're halfway down the hill. Let it keep why would you stop in general? Let's push it back uphill. You're doing the, "Trust me, bro. Trust me, bro. Nothing's happening." Well, why would we trust you when we see things happening and you're lying to us? Because, folks, it is really important you understand this. There is a group of people out there, the doomers and the black pillars out there.
And I'm not talking about all of them. I want to be clear. I don't speak categorically like that. But a lot of people, many of you have been influenced by if you believe the stupid, ridiculous nothing happened in the last two years, absolute bull. If you believe that, a lot of these people, a lot of these people were being paid to tell you that. A lot of them were being paid to tell you that because they're preparing for a post-Donald Trump national political environment where they have a very specific agenda for the Republican Party.
And I promise you, it's not conservative. And they have to slowly hollow out the Trump administration's massive accomplishments over these last two years because they don't want to run on any of that stuff. They don't want to run on closed borders, on crushing street crime. They want to run on stuff that's going to blow your mind. And you'll be like, "Well, that doesn't sound conservative because it isn't." Do not vote on emotion. Vote on results. Don't fall in love with candidates, fall in love with ideas.
I showed you that political playbook earlier, that piece earlier. Folks, the number one issue in this campaign, which it is in practically every campaign outside of a national security campaign, like 9/11 and elsewhere, is the economy. James Carville, not a huge fan, Democrat strategist, told Bill Clinton one time, "It's the economy, stupid." But the economy is growing. It's growing at a rate so large. Even MSNBC had to acknowledge it.
Folks, that rock is rolling downhill. Don't stop it, man. Don't stop it now. This is the article I was talking about with Peggy Noonan, by the way. And again, I'm not making this personal. I enjoy reading her work and others, even though we agree on actually very little. Peggy Noonan has this piece up in the Wall Street Journal. I got to tell you, I know she doesn't like the president, but I was kind of shocked to read this. This is in the Wall Street Journal opinion section. The headline of the article is, "The case for a historic wave."
I got to tell you, for a minute, I thought, like, "All right, maybe she's talking about the Republican." No, she's talking about the Democrats. The president should be dealt a rebuke, a rebellion, and a rout. Only then can the Republican Party be rebuilt. Rebuilt into what? Folks, this is what I'm talking about by this discussion happens amongst academics, people in the, "I get paid for my ideas" class, not for the results, and who don't live in the real world.
Peggy hasn't been in the real world, I'm sorry, for a long time. She hangs around with a lot of people who are like white paper thinkers. They are. And so you can afford to write pieces like this where, "You know what? I don't like his true social posts. I wish he would speak more like Reagan." He's not Reagan. You know what I would prefer? I wish Reagan would have closed the border. I love Reagan. He did not. Maybe if Reagan would have talked a little bit more like Trump, we would have had more action rather than talk.
I live in the world of results. So does the guy cleaning out your clogged drain in your shower so it doesn't overflow into the apartment down below. So does your HVAC guy responding to your house because in the middle of the night in Florida, your freaking air conditioner went down and your kids are sweating. So does that nurse's aide in a hospital when you need someone to wheel you into the emergency room. They live in the real world. They're not paid to read white papers.
They don't care about the tone of a true social post. This is what you want, a rout? So that Elon's warnings about what the Democrats are openly threatening to do come true? You want a packed Supreme Court and a destruction of our system of checks and balances? You want the United States Senate packed with four reliable Democrat votes by admitting states that may or may not even want to be part of the United States as a state?
You want wealth taxes, the destruction of people's jobs in the economy, defund the police, open borders because what? You don't like his speaking style? That's an emotional argument. That's not the real world, man. They don't understand decisions on the margin because they live in the world of academics, white papers, and people who don't suffer the consequences of this, of voting for people that are threatening to do this for you.
Folks, I told you, one of the things I learned in my year I was gone back in government is when you're at that level, every decision is a level 10 decision. Please digest this and tattoo it on your brain. Think about it, right? How many layers below the president? You've got the president, got the attorney general, you've got the deputy attorney general, you've got the FBI director, and then you have me as the deputy below them, okay? At my level, that's way below the president, things would come to my desk that were only level 10 decisions.
Level 10 decisions are this. I kind of made this term up. There are decisions where there are no good answers. If there was a good answer, the DAD, the AD, the OD, the agent, the 14, the 15, someone else makes it. When it gets to your desk at that level, there is no easy answer. I always use this hypothetical. Do we stop this terror attack today knowing that the criminal case may fall apart because the evidence is not really great? Or do we hope to gather more evidence, make it more prosecutable, but run the risk that the attack happens?
What's the answer? The answer is, I mean, it's a hypothetical, but there is no easy answer. And you could be wrong. And if something goes boom, you will be wrong. And it's your ass. The president is dealing with decisions that my level couldn't even be made. They went to Kash, and then they went to Todd. And then they went, was it McConnor? And then they went to Blanche, and then they go to the president. He's dealing with this every day. He doesn't live in the world of white papers.
He's living in a world every day where he's got to make compromises. He's got to balance the interest geopolitically of a war in Ukraine versus a threat of a nuclear strike in Iran. He's got to balance the interest of people who love a flat tax and a fair tax, but no, we don't have the votes for it, so we got no tax on tips. There were a lot of white paper people say, "I hate that idea. We shouldn't carve up the tax code." I agree. I wish the tax code was cleaner. There's no votes for that. That's not the real world the HVAC guy and a plumber lives in.
If we can return money to people's pockets with no tax on tips because it's the best thing we can do, then we're going to do it. We don't live in that world. We live in a world where these people in leadership positions like that make level 10 decisions every single day. This is not a level 10 decision, this election. This is a level 1 decision.
Do you want the economy growing at this MSNBC saying great clip? MSNBC telling you it's great. Do you want the no tax on tips to continue, or do you want more taxes on tips and everything else? Do you want regulations just shoved down your throat like ipecac syrup, or do you want a leaner government? Do you want a shrinking government workforce or more government workers? Do you want the border to open again? They're already talking about amnesty. You want men in the women's room smacking a volleyball in your daughter's face, breaking her nose, some grown man?
You want violent crime to explode again? That's the real world. That's why I was so annoyed at this piece. It's so ridiculous. Not even suggesting there should be a Republican loss, but there should be, quote, "a rout." We should hand over the Senate to a bunch of lunatics like Al-Sayyed. Put that headline up again. What would he say? This just broke again. In addition to his sympathies for the Muslim Brotherhood, Abdullah Al-Sayyed's dad sits on a board of an Islamic charity, accused of funneling cash to Saddam Hussein. This is a great idea, Peggy.
This is insane. And what the hell is this all over? Because what? You don't like President Trump taking on the media? You don't like the fact that his speeches, he doesn't read exactly from a teleprompter? Fine, don't like it. But you're going to vote to destroy my kid's future with an open border and street crime and defund ICE and the police because you don't like the President Trump play that video, Trump with the reporter talking about the this is what people get upset about.
This is what I'm talking about by voting against President Trump on pure emotion and not results. President Trump yesterday, by the way, the Iowa-Kansas rallies are back on. I think he's just annoyed that people just keep saying stupid stuff. Oh, you're not going to Iowa and Kansas because you're tired. You have no evidence of that at all. Some dopey reporter, who, by the way, looks like he could use some GLP-1s himself, says to President Trump yesterday, "Hey, man, you're not going to Kansas and Iowa because you're sick or not healthy or something like that." This is why people get upset.
Because Trump just tells it like it is, like the Queen's guy in R&B. He's like, "Really? Look at you. You slob talking about how good. Good for him. This doesn't bother me one bit. If it bothers you, grow up, get over it. Check this out."
Kansas has nothing to do with you being sick and traveling.
Oh, you're sick, you ass-ack wife.
I'm sick.
You're sick. Who are you with?
I'm with Reuters, sir.
You are a sick guy. Reuters is terrible. You look at the next thing you're going to show. Look at this guy. He's way out of shame. Look at how badly he comes to me. "Sir, you're not going to go to Kansas." I'm not going to Kansas because he's doing very well. I'm going to do a telerally. Tomorrow, I'm doing Florida. He said, "What's the reason?" After doing, what, 28? He says, "What's the reason for this, sir, that you're not going to Kansas?" You know what the reason is? I don't feel I have to go to Kansas. I'm going to Florida tomorrow, and I'll do if something else comes up.
But he said, "You're not going to Kansas, sir. Are you feeling well? You've been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell." I don't understand why that bothers you. Why does that bother you? No, I'm serious. I shouldn't say that. Why does it bother you? Maybe you think, whatever. It doesn't sound presidential, whatever. Let me rephrase the question. Why does that bother you enough to call for a why does that bother you enough that you would let a Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer, a bunch of people calling to institute a set of economy-crushing wealth taxes around the country to open up borders?
That stuff bothers you enough that you're going to let a bunch of crazed leftist lunatics take over? That's insane. That is sociopathically insane. Do you have kids? Do you have daughters or granddaughters or grandsons? You're going to hand the country over to these crazy people? Talarico wants men in the women's room with your daughters because you don't like the fact that he called some slob reporter a slob?
I don't know. I'm a spreadsheets guy, folks. I'm a spreadsheets guy. I just vote on results, man. I didn't get everything I wanted. I told you that. I have different positions than President Trump on a couple of issues here and there. You've heard them. We've actually debated some of them on my radio show. Do you think I'm not going to vote for this guy? If there was a nuclear freaking war, I'd put on a bubble suit and go pull that lever.
Because here are your alternatives. It's Friday, so I got Brendan Dilley coming up talking about messaging and exactly this. But folks, you're going to vote for this? This is what we voted against just two years ago. She's back, Kamala Harris. So I thought I'd give you a good laugh on a Friday, okay? Kamala Harris, there's nothing she loves more than to trot out a number of these fake, phony, artificial kind of accents on her voice and changes in tone she does.
She's trying to be like Jenny from the block everywhere. She did it again the other day. Here she is back on the stuff. You want these people back in charge? Here's our segment. We love Voices of Dems.
Election time is the time to let them know we're too busy watching what you're doing to listen to what you're saying. You know what I'm saying?
I'm just going to leave that there. She does this all the time. Okay. See, I don't even get emotional. She's just a buffoon. That stuff doesn't bother me as bad as some of her ideas. Now, this is time for some tough medicine. I hope you're ready. Folks, I got to be careful how I phrase this because I don't want this to seem like I'm trying to be professorial or speak down to anyone.
What's happening in Ohio right now is just a mess. You've got candidates running for office that have run some of the most disgusting ads, like blaming the Jews for inflation. I mean, these are real Democrat ads. You've got an ad. I talked about it on Laura Ingraham's show last night. Charlie Hurt was guest hosting. You've got in the Troy Jackson-Susan Collins Senate race, you've got them deceiving people to run ads for Troy Jackson when they're Susan Collins supporters.
You've got a thousand myriad Democrat scandals in Alaska trying to steal elections through ranked choice voting and decoy DAN. You've got all this going on. And you've got people pretending to be Republicans losing their minds in the governor's race in Ohio over an ad they didn't like involving Amy Actis. I cannot believe it. You're going to vote for this lady instead? Here she is. I think this was last night or the night before. This is the Democrat candidate for governor in Ohio.
Folks, my family owned a bar growing up, so I've been around, for better or for worse, people who've been drinking their entire life. Alcohol, obviously. I don't know that Amy Acton was intoxicated or not. I've seen a number of very suspicious videos. I want to be clear. I don't know that. I don't say what I don't know. I'm just telling you, I've seen thousands of people who are intoxicated and drunk in my life.
And this is not the first time we've seen Amy Acton go up on stage and at least sound intoxicated. I don't know what's worse here. If she is, in fact, drunk, or if she's not drunk and sounds drunk. I don't know what's worse. And you're angry about an ad you didn't like, so you're going to vote to put this individual as the head executive of the great, now red state of Ohio and destroy everything we built there? How does that make sense?
Make it make sense to me. You watch this video, and you decide for yourself. Is Amy Acton intoxicated, drunk, or not? You decide.
Good to be back here at UAW. It's about truth and justice. I just wrote on the words back here. I'm honored to be here. We've been in Toledo a lot. There's a big energy going on here. I can feel it. And oh, my goodness. And first of all, I just want to say to you, you know it has been quite a week this past week.
And Eric and I just want to thank everyone. Your support and love have met the.
I got a lot of commentary going on in the chat here. Folks, I'm serious. I don't know what's worse, that she talks like that sober or that she decided to drink and get intoxicated before giving a major speech in front of people. You know Josh and I were talking before the show, and he's like, "You ran for office. What would you do out there?" When you're running for office, folks, everything you drink better come out of a clear bottle of water. I'm just telling you. I don't know what the hell she was doing there, and I really don't know what's worse.
Get out and vote in Ohio. Please. We need it. All right. I got a big rest of the show. I got Brendan Dilley coming on to talk about the whole change in comms, how their political campaigns out there are still stuck in the Walter Cronkite era. They just don't understand. Everything has to be done on this Wheaties box message. I'll tell you what I mean by that coming up. Don't miss that. We have a winner to announce, too, in our comment of the day, 1776 Club. Welcoming to the show, my good friend, a guy who knows the political messaging game better than anyone. And I say that with no reservations whatsoever. My friend Brendan Dilley, he also has his own show called The Dilley Show. You can check it out on Rumble.
I encourage you, D-I-L-L-E-Y. Brendan, welcome to the show. So good to have you.
What's up, Dan? I'm honored to be here with you finally, man. This is a big deal. And I know a lot of my meme team and a lot of my own audience, before they watch my shows, they watch your show leading into it. And so this is a big deal for not just myself, but our entire community. So I appreciate you having me.
Well, you're one of the few shows I watch, too. Listen, you're a really good analyst of the political ecosystem. You've been out ahead of a lot of these trends that weren't necessarily trends. You got out ahead of them before and said, "Hey, watch what's going on here. This tidal wave's coming ashore." But your specific area of expertise outside of your show is political messaging. Your team changed the game on this, and I don't think you get enough respect for this. The changing communications environment for politics, you can either get on the train or get run over by it.
It's not ABC, NBC, nightly news. Cable still plays a role, obviously, but it's diminishing in importance over time. Everything now, Brendan, is short videos, gifties, memes, comebacks. I wish AOC, on the other side, made a career out of this. I mean, she just did. Instant responses don't let stuff fester. Your commentary on this, because a lot of people take you on and your business there, understanding that they need that kind of stuff.
Yeah, you know what it is, Dan. I think that it's the handing of the torch. It's going over to a younger generation. And that younger generation doesn't digest information the way that previous generations have. And so people aren't going to sit through a 60-minute episode where you have three to four topics, and they're going to go really in-depth, and it's really dramatized, and it's sort of like sprawled out. That's just not how people receive information. They want it in they want efficient information. And the thing is, we've conditioned people to receive information this way in every other facet of life.
So it shouldn't really surprise anyone that it's translating into politics and news as well. People want to see it. Get to the point. Tell me what it is. Tell me why it matters. How does it affect me? What's the context? And you've got to get to that point fairly quickly. You're going to be given about two to three minutes max to make that point, and then they're on to the next thing. And there's always going to be a group of people that are passionate about politics and world events. And that segment of the population is never going to go away. And they're going to sit through different shows, and they're going to sit through long-form interviews and different things like that.
But the majority of people want to check in, stay sort of like, "Okay, what's going on?" I want to be able to form an opinion fairly quickly. I want to be able to kind of sift through this information and then form that opinion and move on to the next part of my life. And I think that's where the majority of Americans reside. And if you don't speak that language that way, you don't reach those people, period.
And Brendan, one of the things I think your Dilley team does over there exceptionally well is it's something I've been talking about for years. I summed it up as kind of Wheaties box messaging. When we were kids before the health craze, right before the maha movement, everybody thought breakfast cereal was healthy for you. Now everybody's eating fricking whole range eggs and blueberries and stuff like that, whatever. But you sat down with your Captain freaking Crunch or whatever, which I still love, or your Wheaties box. And remember when we were kids, you were in the morning, you're tired, you read the Wheaties box.
There was like a cartoon on the back or whatever. The Republican Party was terrible about this before folks like yourself came in and changed the comms game. They were. They would put out a white paper on the Laffer curve, which, listen, I love. I'm not telling anyone to be ignorant and stupid. That's not what I'm saying. The Laffer curve is a stroke of genius. However, people live busy lives, Brendan. They're out there. They got to go to their kids' games. They got to work eight, ten-hour day. They don't have time for a two, three-hour treatise on the high marginal tax rates and the effect on propensity to save and consume.
Tell me why this works for me on the freaking Wheaties box.
Right. No, you know what it is, too, Dan? It's one of the things that my team does, and I've instructed them since the beginning, and something that they also innately have. I mean, I'm dealing with artists and musicians. These are like really high-level people. But we put things into context to what matters to them. And so part of what had happened is I think there was a disconnect. There was such a massive disconnect between the American public and whether it's the media or whether it's the political figures. There was such a massive disconnect that the American public was like getting tired of sifting through the news to figure out which news was actually relevant to them.
So with my team, one of the things that we do is it starts with, "Would you watch this?" Not, "Who are you making it for?" or, "What are you making it for?" It's, "Would you sit down and watch this? Does it grab you in the first 15 seconds? Why does it matter to you?" And we've got regular Americans on my team. These are just run-of-the-mill, normal people from all over America that all have different careers and jobs and lives and also different age groups. And so when you've got a group that's as eclectic as that and you understand the premise, which is, and to me, it's a form of respect, don't make content that you wouldn't watch.
Don't make content that you don't find interesting. And when you hold yourself to that standard, it makes it a lot easier to understand how to connect to the American people. And you're making content. And I'll tell you, subconsciously, they pick up on it. People pick up on the fact that they're like, there's nuanced sort of details that are maybe relatable to their life, their culture, a period in their life. And that's why we implement so much music and so many different clips that are culturally relevant to maybe the era that they grew up in.
But it's a different approach, in my opinion, to media and comms. It used to be, "We're going to tell you how it is, and you're going to take it, and here it is, and we will just essentially condition you to accept this as the way you receive information." We've basically inverted that and said, "Okay, we know how you like to receive information, so we're going to make videos that you would normally enjoy watching for entertainment purposes, and then we're going to bury a ton of political messaging content, statistics inside of that video."
And so now you don't even feel like you just consumed news or any sort of information that way. It makes it just a much more enjoyable experience.
We're talking to Brendan Dilley, host of The Dilley Show on Rumble, also what I believe to be one of the best political comms guys out there. Totally changed the game. Brendan, I watch your videos. And you said something there that kind of hit me a little bit. I wrote a movie script a long time ago with a friend of mine. I don't think I ever told you. Brendan and I are friends, but I don't think I ever told you this story. And I always hate watching a movie that takes 20 minutes to get to the point of the movie or even like a show on whatever, liberal Netflix.
You get to the point, like hit right away, and people are like, "Oh my gosh, what just happened?" And you spend the whole rest of the show tuning to find out what just happened. So I write this movie script. It's a Secret Service story. It's still out there. And everybody who commented loved the opening scene. There was a soft countdown at three, two, one on a dark screen. And then boom, someone hits the door, and it was a raid. Well, if you ever go watch the movie Police State I did with Dinesh D'Souza, that's the opening of the movie. I told Dinesh, I said, "Hey, listen, I need this in there. I want this thing to hit right at the open."
But your communications team does that. You're not watching some ad, and you're five seconds in going because nobody cares. They're scrolling past it. Five seconds, you've already lost them. The second you open it, you're like, "Whoa, that one stung." So address that and also how you guys are edgy. I mean, I love that. I'm a kid from Queens. But the days of old stodgy bow-tie politics, I'm sorry, they're over. You can play the game or you can get crushed by it.
It's absolutely true. So yeah, so when you're talking about the hook, basically, you've got two ways to grab people. You can grab them visually, or you can grab them with audio. So there's sometimes where you're like, "Okay, the video is going to take a little while to build. If you use the right musical track, you can grab right out the gate." Because there's certain songs that people just aren't going to they're not going to scroll away from. And if you know that and you know American culture, which my team are masters of that, you know, "Okay, this is going to buy me about seven seconds. I'm going to get about seven, eight seconds to get to this clip because this song is something that people just innately love."
And when you can use the music that way, you can also do the reverse, which is what you were talking about, where you've got a countdown and then bam, you're coming through the door and it's going to grab you and you go, "What's happening?" And now it's compelling. We try to do a little bit of both. Sometimes you use both strategies. Sometimes you use one or the other. But people love it. I mean, we try to put cinematic flair around everything that we do. The other thing is, as far as the irreverence, yeah, man, we're going to push the envelope. I grew up in an era where in Living Color was how I spent my Thursday nights on watching boxes as a kid.
I love that show.
You know, watching In Living Color. I watched The Simpsons in the '80s by myself. I remember watching a lot of these shows where it was like this was what was forming my opinions on the world. I was watching Eddie Murphy Delirious. I was watching Sam Kinnison, like Andrew Dice Clay. For us and a lot of my team, people on my team, they're products of the Reagan era. They're products of the '80s and '90s where that style of communication and comedy was extremely prevalent. And frankly, it was awesome.
And we've just taken that cultural awareness and applied it into a world that never had previously done that, which is within the federal government, within the political landscape. And I think people, it just feels you know you're watching something like you're taking in information that is stuffy and sort of boring, but you're taking it in a way that's like, "Man, this is really fun." It's like adding sugar to cornflakes. It's just like, "All right, I'm still eating cornflakes, but the sugar really makes this tasty," right?
I see what you did there. Back to the breakfast cereal. Very nice. You're tying the show together just like I do the same thing. You always got to tie it back. Tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them, and then tell them what you told them. Hey, listen, Brendan, too, your team, you know I always say on the show as well, results matter. Don't get emotional about candidates. Use emotion if you need to. I don't care what motivates you to vote. I don't. Anger, happiness, elations, I don't care. Go out and vote and change the world for your kids. Whatever emotion you need to do it, do it. But ultimately, you should be voting on results.
And your results matter. You've had tons of videos go absolutely nuclear. The president has put out a number of your videos on Truth Social, not just one or two. I know his team appreciates your work. But one of the things that's been irking me up until it's on this results kind of narrative here is there hasn't been an administration I can make a really sensible down-to-earth case in two years that has done as much as the Trump administration has done. And my concern here, Brendan, and this is where I want you to kind of chime in, is I worry about an apathy.
So much happened so fast and the expectations were set so high. Your kid went out and scored 100 on her first 10 tests. 11, she gets 99, and you're upset with her. Any other time, you're like, "Wow, 99 is amazing." I worry about that. The border being shut down, crime getting crushed, GDP numbers exploding, unemployment, all-time lows. I worry people are sitting home because of a little bit of apathy and the counter-messaging out there inside our tent or pretend inside our tent with these Folex MAGA people is just it's killing us, man.
I can't get over it.
Yeah, you know I think there's two separate issues there. So the first one, if you're apathetic in 2026, then you're going to get the country and the representation you deserve. I think we're all done motivating people. If you have sat by the last six years, if you lived through COVID in 2021 where Biden rolls in with mandates on all kinds of people and all kinds of issues and the isolation of that, bottom line is if you were an adult during that era and you're still sitting out elections, honestly, you're beyond help.
So you're going to get whatever you're going to get, and you can cry about it, and you can find a mirror because that's the reason you got it. So that's one issue entirely. I think a lot of people, when you look at the Republican Party, and this is one of the things that these doomer losers try to do, and they try to undermine the objective of politics. Politics is a long game, bro. You're not going to get a perfect candidate. So you're going to get a guy that's going to come in, and this is how I view it. There are people inside of our party who sit in federal in office.
They do three things I really, really love. They do six things I absolutely hate. I don't not vote for them because those three things, depending on what's important to me, are critical. They might be deal breakers. And you have to understand we're moving an entire culture and political ideology a certain direction. We're going a certain way that we want it to be, which is, I think, a much more MAGA-centric sort of country. But you're not going to get that in a single election. You're not going to get it in two elections.
I mean, we're 11 years into this experiment with President Trump, and you can see the difference from where we started and where the public was willing to consider and what they were willing to consider to the point now that there's so much of the stuff that's normalized that's in a beneficial way that I think that people have to just understand it's going to take a little time. You're chipping away. It's like anything else in life, man. There is no such thing as overnight success. They always say that to you, but that's because they weren't around for the 10 years of suffering you did prior to that.
It's the same thing, I think, in this political movement. And as far as these doomers go, man, they're on life support. Because Dan, I got to tell you, if we win the midterms, even if we eek it out, if we split it or whatever, House and Senate, a lot of these guys are cooked. I mean, you can't make that many bad predictions for almost 24 straight months and still maintain some sort of relevance. And you're watching as their audiences whittle away. And the really funny thing is there's like 20 of these guys and gals.
They all share the same audience, man. It's the most incestuous thing I've ever seen. And so now you're like, "Okay, we're holding on for dear life with this certain fixed number of people. We're not adding new fans. We're not adding new followers. We're simply losing people because every couple of weeks we're being revealed to not know what we're talking about." Because there's only two options, right, with most of these guys. And I don't want to name names, but most of these guys, you're either an idiot, and that's why you keep getting things wrong, or you're being paid to lie about what's happening. But either way, that's enough to break trust with your audience.
And you can only go back to that well so many times before people check out. And I think these midterms are a big deal, man. They're a big deal for posters. They're a big deal for a lot of podcasters who have been lying and/or wrong. I think it's a big deal for the left because they could be absolutely this is a make-or-break moment. People think the pressure is on the Republican Party. You're wrong. The left tried an experiment in two years. They went from 2024 where they're like, "Hey, Kamala is going to be more centrist," and she was trying to talk about how she was going to have guns in her house.
And she was trying to at least somewhat appeal to moderates. Dude, they just said in 24 months, "Hey, Blue Dog Democrats, we're going to need you to vote for the Democrat Socialists of America." That's a hell of a leap, dude, in 24 months to try to get somebody to go full-blown socialist. And so the pressure, I don't feel the pressure on the Republican Party this time. I think this is 100% on the left. And if they blow this, they're cooked, man. I don't think there's a way they win the Senate.
The House is really the only thing that I'm curious about. If they blow both of these, I think they're going to have one hell of a problem the next two years because you're going to get two years of President Trump in the fast lane. And I don't think they understand. And it's his last two years. And you can already see it in his messaging leading up to this. He's talking more trash than he normally talks. And you can just tell he's kind of like it's on.
Yeah, yeah. And you and I called this when during the primary, there were people saying, "Oh, you can't vote for Trump. He's going to be term-limited." You and I were like, "That's the point. What do you think, he's going to slow down? He doesn't care anymore about the politics. He cares about America." Not that he even cared about the politics before. I wonder you brought up something. I was going to ask a different question, but you brought up something really important. You and I are realpolitik guys, man. We're realists. I'm not voting for saints. I had a clip of preacher Josh Howerton on the other day, and it was a great clip.
He's like, "Voting is not a sacrament, guys." And you just said it. There is no perfect candidate. But I referenced earlier in the show an article in the Wall Street Journal by Peggy Noonan. And listen, Peggy Noonan does not like President Trump, okay? I enjoy her writing. It's not personal. I don't get emotional about things. But I thought it was a really, really awful, genuinely awful article. The gist of it was like, "We should lose the Republican Party, lose bad. It should be like," her words, "a rout and a rebellion."
And she says that as a self-proclaimed Republican as if there were no consequences, Brendan. There's not going to be a packing of the Supreme Court, a dumping of the filibuster. Puerto Rico and DC, United States, open borders, violent criminals killing and raping and murdering and assaulting our kids. This is the real world, Peggy. Divorce yourself from the emotions and accept what you and I have. You and I are not listen, I'm not a huge fan of moderate senators.
You know who they are. It's a few days before the you know who they are. They're running right now. I'm not. However, I'm 100% if I'm in those states voting for them. They're the best you're going to do in that state. You're going to relinquish control of the Senate and chairmanships because this person didn't vote for some billion. That's insane. That's crazy. This is the real world, man. Get out of your freaking box if you're one of these people voting on emotions and vote on reality.
No, you're absolutely correct, Dan. And this is one of the things I tell people, too. How do you end up with senators? You start asking people, you break it down. How did they get there? Well, they raised money, they voted, they took a oh, okay. So what you're saying is that your state continues to allow somebody to win reelection because nobody in your state has the courage or financial wherewithal to go primary that person? We're in a country where you get what you accept. And so if you want to step up and you want to start running for Congress or Senate and build a career to replace somebody, then by all means, do it.
If you're not, guess what? You're a part of the Republican Party. This is who your candidate is. Go and show up. And because sometimes you know what's funny, Dan? Sometimes it's not about what the candidate's going to do for you. And again, I know what you're alluding to. There's some of these candidates we look and we go, "Eh, not my favorite." But sometimes it's not what they're going to do for you. It's what they are not going to allow to happen. Sometimes it's that vote. Sometimes they don't have a platform, but I know they're not going to vote for this. And that's good enough, right?
They're not going to vote for open borders, to defund the police, to defund the I just said that the other day on the show. I don't care what emotion you use. Even if you're voting on a negative emotion, I'm not voting for a candidate, Joey Bag of Donuts on the Democrat side, because they're so genuinely awful. But I don't even really care. The Republican sucks, too, but they're not as sucky as the Democrat. That is what they won't do to you. That's really well said.
Yeah, so some of your people are like remember Hodor from Game of Thrones is like, "Hold the door." There's a Hodor, bro. Some of these people, they're not going to do they're not going to go out and win you anything with anything spectacular on their policy or their agenda. But sometimes they're just going to hold that damn door, and it's going to buy you time to get better, younger candidates. And you can kind of see that happening in the Republican Party. We've got a really exciting bench that are growing into their leadership roles. And you've got some senators that over time are going to be going away, obviously, just because of age alone will eventually have them leave office.
And they're not exciting, and they're not passing any legislation where you go, "My God, I can't believe so-and-so did this." But they are holding they're holding the door, man. They're holding the communists and the socialists back from taking over completely in this country. And it's buying us the time we need to basically train that bench and get them prepared for a higher level of office and leadership. And that's sort of how you have to view it. I mean, I don't think there's any other way to view it. And that's the thing, too, is Republicans will accuse we talk about the left being hyper-emotional and, "Oh, they're all about their feelings."
And then it's like, "Well, if that's the thing you have a problem with the left about, then you've got to be extremely rational in long-term viewing about your own vote and your own party." And I think that a lot of people lose sight of that. They get caught up in the moment and start saying crazy stuff. And we see it every single day.
