Hey, guys, it's Francis. Look, life moves fast. Dating is a tough thing to find time for and to be intentional about. At least so I thought until I found The League. I've found that the people I've met on The League are people I really have a lot more in common with than the people you typically find when you're just aimlessly swiping and scrolling on other dating apps. Instead of endless searching, I get a curated batch of profiles each day. There's less noise, less back and forth, less flakiness. These are just people I'd actually want to meet, have a conversation with, have a meal with, spend real time with, create that meaningful connection. Join me on the League. Download the app, and apply today.

On today's part of my take, presented by DraftKings, it's NFL Free Agency, and we have our good friend Nate Tice on the to break it all down. Winners, losers, best fits, teams that he thinks are going to be active in the next few days. We're going to talk about everything. We also have Hot Seat, Cool Throne. We've got some College Basketball Conference, Championship Week, World Base Classic, Guys on Chicks, and it's all brought to you by our friends and every man, Jack. You're a grown man making better decisions about what you put in your body. Are you paying attention to what goes on it? Here's the thing, using grooming products with harsh chemicals is like washing your car with dish soap. Sure, it gets the job done, but you're stripping away the protection and doing long-term damage. Most guys think they have to choose products that work or products that are better for you. Every man, Jack, says that's BS. Their clean, naturally derived formulas have none of the garbage the other guys use. No parabens, no dyes, no shortcuts, and they're incredibly effective. Their coconut-based body wash cleans while hydrating. Their new 48-hour antiperspirant has unbelievable glide and staying power.

00:02:02

Everyman Jack, clean, effective, made for men. What more could you want? Start your new routine and find Everyman Jack at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Kroger, wherever men's personal care products are sold. Okay, let's go.

00:02:19

Yeah.

00:02:21

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Welcome to Part of My Take, presented by Raph Kings. The Crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, March 11th, and the Baltimore Ravens have ruined free agency. So we are actually recorded the full show. You're going to get two intros. The other intro was Gino Smith leading off. But late on Tuesday night, the Raiders put out that Max Crosby, the deal has been rescinded because he potentially failed the physical in Baltimore. He was in Baltimore. I'm calling bullshit on all this, PFT. This is crazy. You can't do this. All the dominoes went for Max Crosby, and now they got to redo everything, even though nothing's going to happen.

00:03:24

Yeah, well, nothing's going to happen. But Tyler Linderbaum has the opportunity to do the funniest thing of all time, which is to be like, Oh, the Ravens, you got all this room? I'll go back. It's weird, and it's not the first time that the Ravens have done this. One thing I learned through this ordeal is they really trust the doctors in Baltimore. So It would be the third, maybe even fourth time that it's happened. It happened to Ryan Grant in 2018. Then two years later, Michael Brokers, same thing happened there. Then there was one back in the late '90s, I think, or maybe early 2000s, where a similar thing happened. But yeah, the deal is not done until the doctors sign off. But imagine being the team doctor after the biggest deal in a long time that the Ravens have done in a very long time. They shook hands on it. Max comes to Baltimore. You go under the exam, and then you're like, Yeah, he's got a bad meniscus. And then they tell the front office that. That's got to be standing on the table and being like, This physical is so We shouldn't go through this trade.

00:04:32

Either one, they really trust the doctor to believe them on that, or two, it's bullshit and it's made up, and they're secretly planning a different move, and they're using the physical as an excuse to get out of it.

00:04:42

Trey Hendrickson. Yeah, the The thing that I don't understand, and I'm not a doctor, don't pretend to be one, and maybe there's different physicals for different guys, but Max Crosby had surgery two months ago. Of course, his knee is not going to pass a right?

00:05:01

Yeah. I mean, he had a different surgery than he initially thought, but it's like everybody knew that he had the meniscus repair surgery.

00:05:07

In January- That's a secret. It's three to four month recovery, so it's like, no, da. Maybe the Ravens just not realized he had the surgery, and then he came in.

00:05:16

Maybe it's not healing the way that they thought it would heal. Maybe Max Crosby is just that much of a maniac where he got surgery, and then a month later, he's out there doing wind sprints, and it's not healing. I don't know. But yeah, it does seem like it would be convenient. I feel like any time you trade for a guy like this, you could always say at the last minute, Yeah, we're not going to do it because of the physical.

00:05:37

Right. It is a ripple effect where other teams that were maybe in on Max Crosby Cowboys, Eagles, bears. There's other teams that were... I think I even heard the bangles called about them. You don't know how much teams were actually in if they just kick the tires. But every other team that was potentially in on Max Crosby, having Max Crosby go to the Ravens, then having free agency start, going plan B all across the board, then Max Crosby potentially can be traded again, which is crazy. Or the Raiders could just keep him. Maybe the Raiders are like, Hey, Max, I know you don't want to be here, but we signed $300 million worth of dudes. We should be better, theoretically. They want to just stick around? Yeah, they still have cap space. That works. They still have cap space, I believe.

00:06:28

Yeah, it's interesting. Interesting because you said the bangles. And if any owner would be interested in a scratch and dent open box, Max Crosby, that would probably be the bangles. Yeah. I got a great deal. Yeah, let's do it.

00:06:43

It's just not. Because it was... And if you're a Ravens fan, that poor Ravens fan, I'm sure you guys saw it, who... Shout out that guy. I'm going to find him. I think I retweet him.

00:06:52

It was like, Kyle Hamilton, D-P-O-Y.

00:06:54

Yeah. Hamilton, D-P-O-Y, Nate, the Ravens fan. He tweeted, If the Ravens happen to trade for Max Kraus, I will completely shave my head. He did shave his head three hours ago. He posted it, and he does not look good bald. Then he needs to sue. He needs to do something about this. I think everyone should get in line. I don't know. I'm not plugged in enough to know exactly the inner workings, but it does feel like something's fishy here, and Maybe it's just the Ravens using the loophole of, Hey, we can see. We can trade for Max Crosby, see how the rest of free agency plays out, knowing that this stupid legal tampering and then official free agency, there's a two-day gap, and then just figure it out later. And that's what they're doing now. They can figure it out later.

00:07:49

I don't know. I guess we'll find out more after all the reports come out and when people leak, select things to certain reporters. We'll get a better picture of what it is. But the statement that the Raiders put out said a lot, which is just like, They backed out of the trade. We have no further comment. I don't think that the raters put that statement out. If they find something genuinely concerning on the MRI, it's like, Oh, his knee's really, really bad now. It's not going to work out. That, to me, sounds like a pissed off Mark Davis. Yeah.

00:08:20

Hank, what if his knee's actually fucked up and there's nothing nefarious? Maybe Tom braided was doing the right thing. How so? Not trading him to the Patriots?

00:08:34

Maybe. I mean, I hope his knee, for his sake, is fine. I feel like it is.

00:08:38

Well, now I'm just like, I said on Monday's show, I think it's stupid when You're in on a guy. If you're a fan of a team, you're in on a guy, and then you don't get him, and then you immediately cope by saying, Oh, we didn't want him anyway. I was like, Yeah, I did want Max Crosby. I wanted Max Crosby on the bears. Now, I think I do. I don't know. Is he going to go for a first and second? I don't know.

00:09:02

It's got to be somebody that's got a lot of job security as a GM who's going to say, This is worth the chance, because if they get it wrong, everyone's going to be like, Yeah, no shit. The Ravens sent them back because they didn't trust it, and you thought you were smarter. But if you get it right, then you're a genius. I think there will be teams that are interested. I don't know if the price is going to be the same, though.

00:09:22

I also think that there should be a new rule for the digital era in NFL. If you post a 13-minute goodbye my video on social media like Max Crosby did, that should just be trade final. You can't come back on that because this is the most... I actually am rooting for Max Crosby on the Raiders now because that will be so awkward and funny if he has to show up and be like, Yeah, All that shit. Let's just pretend it never happened. I'm a raider for life.

00:09:49

I'm coming home video tomorrow.

00:09:51

Yeah. Does he get a tribute video when he goes back to the team facility?

00:09:55

What does he get a tribute video if they play the Ravens this year?

00:09:58

From the Ravens? Yeah, right.

00:09:59

I'm saying with the guy just shaved head.

00:10:02

Listen, if you do a 13-minute long goodbye to your team, that's fine. But you should also have to do a 13-minute goodbye video to Baltimore on your way back.

00:10:11

Yeah, absolutely.

00:10:13

Also, he He's got long hair. Locks of love, man. You should cut that hair off. You should send it to a fan that shave their head. Yeah.

00:10:21

Yeah, Max Crosby said, I'm so excited. I cannot wait to get out to the city and meet everybody talking about Baltimore. Well, he did for one day, and that was it.

00:10:30

What do you think the value on Max is now? You think that they're going to get the same that the Ravens offer? Is it like a used car the second you drive it off the lot, it goes down in value?

00:10:41

I don't know how you could. I don't know how you possibly could get the same value. There's just no way someone's going to offer the same thing if the Ravens' physical was a no. They could get two first rounders still, but it would be maybe a worse first rounder. You know what I mean? That was a lot of the conversation was the Ravens had the draft capital where it's like their pick is decent this year and not picking at the bottom. It's so weird. Again, it's so weird because of the dominoes that go after that and everyone who makes their moves after and everyone who fills out their roster after. I guess the one thing you could say the Ravens didn't do this in a nefarious way is they also missed out on some free agents because they thought they were going to have Max Crosby. That would be my argument for any conspiracy theories that the Ravens did this intentionally is they probably could have signed some guys that they weren't able to then sign because they had Max Crosby on the books.

00:11:42

But if the Ravens did this intentionally, that would also just piss off their fan base. Their fan base got super excited about Max Crosby joining them. Ask Stavi how he's doing. I'm sure it's not good.

00:11:51

You want to call him real quick?

00:11:53

Yeah, give him a call. He might want to check in.

00:11:55

Just real quick. There's no way he's going to pick up because I texted him and he He was so pumped. Yeah. That sucks.

00:12:04

If the Raiders were trying to sweep one under the rug, I don't even understand how that would work because they were the ones that were pushing Max to get the surgery last year. Max was like, Let me keep playing.

00:12:16

I don't think the Raiders would have... It makes no sense for the Raiders to sweep anything under the rug. I think he had surgery. I don't know. It was open. He had surgery. The whole thing is bizarre.

00:12:27

I think it's one of two things. One of two things is going to be what we get to. Hold on.

00:12:30

I'm calling Stani. Hold that thought. He's not going to pick up. There's no way. Because this is like, there's only one reason I'd be calling, and it's the troll call. He's probably in a sold out of arena right now.

00:12:48

What's going on, Hank?

00:12:49

Victor Woman down the Dirty.

00:12:50

Yeah, no pickup. Okay. When I said, Congrats on Max Crosby, you fuck her, he said, He's the fucking man of Perfect Raven. Nope. I guess he was. Not a raven.

00:13:04

I'm bummed that we don't get the Sears-Ravens-TJ-Max matchup.

00:13:10

Yeah. Okay, what were your two thoughts?

00:13:14

It's one of two things, really. It's got to be-Oh, wait.

00:13:17

He said, he just texted me back, In a car right now, unfortunately, but this sucks dick and is weird. That's my official statement.

00:13:24

Sucks dick and is weird. Yeah.

00:13:28

Your official statement has been logged. This sucks dick and is weird. Okay, what were your two thoughts?

00:13:39

Basically, either they found something fucked up that they didn't think was there, and it's within their rights to nullify the trade. And that's why this two-day period is so weird because something like this can happen. And then nothing that has been reported over the last day actually has to happen. Nothing's final yet. So either One, they found something weird on the physical, and they're like, Yeah, we can't do this. We can't justify it. Or two, they have been talking to somebody secretly this whole time, and it's been a ploy, in which case, I feel like that would really fuck up the Raven's ability to do deals like this in the future.

00:14:18

Yeah, he probably just failed the physical. We're probably being too something's up. He probably isn't healing the way that they thought he was, and they're like, Yeah, we're not going to do this.

00:14:29

I pointed out that this is remarkably early. The Ravens usually wait till week three till their whole roster is injured.

00:14:35

Yeah.

00:14:36

Nass has so much hustle that he's injured before he even plays it down.

00:14:39

Yeah. Now that I'm thinking about it, too, with this whole The legal tampering, no deals can be signed until Wednesday. Incredible window for anyone who has buyer's remorse. You just do this every time. She's like, Yeah, I'll give you this deal. And then she's like, I slept on it. Oh, wait, furthermore from Stavi, Furthermore, if we don't acquire a pass rusher, I'm going to kill myself. Okay. Okay. Okay. They got to get a pass. Ravens, you've heard his demands? Get a pass rusher. Okay, two last things real quick. We're about to do the other intro of the show talking about Gino Smith. We then talk some free agency. We got Nate Tice. We did mention that the Eagles hadn't signed anyone. After we finished recording, the Eagles did sign anyone or did sign someone. Should we just pretend that they hadn't signed anyone still? Should we keep going or do you want to talk? Give us your grade on Rick Wallen.

00:15:31

Howie.

00:15:32

Howie. Okay, that's the grade. The official grade is Howie.

00:15:35

Yeah, I love it, Howie.

00:15:36

Also, the last thing was Zack. That girl released official statement from Monday's show who said that she couldn't believe that debate happened. I think she wants to go on a date because she said, I don't know how guys listen to two and a half hours of this bullshit. Listen, Talia, we agree. We agree that this is just junk that we're putting out there. But she was like, I respect the fact that that many people listen? It sounds like you got to ask her out on a date.

00:16:05

I think she recognized we're putting a good product on the airways, Big Cat.

00:16:09

No, she said the exact opposite.

00:16:12

I thought she was backpelling off saying that.

00:16:14

No, she said it's insane that people listen to this show for as long as they listen to this show. But the fact that there's that many, she has to at least tip her cap to that. It was nice.

00:16:26

I misread it. I thought it was like she thought it was so bad that it's so good.

00:16:30

Maybe that is true.

00:16:31

Well, I think she needs to just maybe give it another shot because today we've got Guys on Chicks, which is a segment that she might find more enjoyable than the others that we do. Yeah.

00:16:40

If you can't hit- That's a great entry point for you, Talia. If you can't handle us at our iShow speed versus Trump. You don't deserve us with two 41-year-olds and a 33-year-old furiously debating the merits of laser tag. Okay, let's do the other intro. This is going to be fun. Here's our other intro.

Then we're off and running. Welcome to part of my take presented by DraftKings. The Crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, March 11th, and NFL Free Agency is here, boys, and Gino Smith is a New York jet.

00:17:46

Congratulations to Gino. He's coming home. It feels like a storybook ending for Gino Smith and the Jets, right? It's beautiful. It's coming home. Gino is the Bridge quarterback. Memes, congratulations. You got your guy.

00:17:57

You got him, Memes.

00:17:58

Yeah, big two days of free. He's a free agency. Glad we're starting with this.

00:18:02

My question for you, Memes, is-What else would we start with?

00:18:05

There's so much going on.

00:18:06

Is Gino Smith the next Sam Darnold?

00:18:12

He could be. He could be. He could be. I mean, of course, we got to start with this. Gino, back to the Big Apple. It's huge. You kidding me?

00:18:20

It's huge. The Jets are the straw that stirs the drink in the NFL. It's huge.

00:18:25

Are you excited, Memes?

00:18:26

I'm okay with it. Okay. It's a vet men deal better than any other choice out there right now. Year 2 of the rebuild, that's just all I keep saying to myself. Year 2 of the rebuild.

00:18:41

This is going to be a process.

00:18:42

Oh, no. What is Max showing him?

00:18:44

Jet sign, Nashan Wright.

00:18:46

Oh, okay. Do you want me to give you a little quick N'Ai Shon Wright?

00:18:51

No, me and Zack dapped him up at the bear camp.

00:18:54

N'ai Shon Wright, Ballhawk, will make big plays, can get burnt a lot.

00:19:02

Interception?

00:19:03

Interception, yes. There we go. That's actually huge. I like N'Ai Shon Wright. I think he had a very good year for the bears. He's a good player-ish.

00:19:14

You have N'Ai Shon Wright. You got Minka, right?

00:19:16

Got Minka.

00:19:17

So you guys have players that are capable of intercepting the football.

00:19:20

Yep. Got to Mario Davis. That was big.

00:19:23

Here's a text from Gino Smith. This is from his own fingertips. Complete full circle moment back to where it all began. I'm excited to connect with my new teammates and coaches and everyone in the building, as well as build a new relationship with a fan base and community.

00:19:37

What do you mean by connect?

00:19:39

Connect, not jaw and fist, if that's what you're implying.

00:19:41

He just put his fist up.

00:19:42

You troll? Yeah. That's fucked up, Hank.

00:19:45

Come on, Hank. He said connect.

00:19:46

He was excited to connect with his new teammates.

00:19:49

We should talk about to Mario Davis more being 37 years old and still being in the NFL. It's pretty fucking impressive.

00:19:55

Yeah.

00:19:55

I mean, that's insane.

00:19:56

It is. So, Mims, are you looking forward to building a new relationship with Gino?

00:20:01

Yeah, I'm fired up at the time.

00:20:03

All right. At the time.

00:20:05

That's great now. The time is right now. You're fired up.

00:20:09

You're fired up currently.

00:20:11

At the time.

00:20:11

At the time.

00:20:12

At the time right now, I It sounds like that's what you're going to say in September when you're like, I was fired up at the time.

00:20:20

At the time, I was fired up.

00:20:21

Memes you have been lashing out. I've noticed a couple of tweets that you put out there. Number one, Gino did the prayer emoji thing because the Jets tweeted out a video of this is where it all began, 2013. Then, Memes, you replied, I will upper deck any Wendy's for you. Yep. Care to elaborate on that?

00:20:39

It's when you take a shit in the top of the toilet.

00:20:40

I know what an upper deck is.

00:20:42

Then when you flush it, it's supposed to explode.

00:20:44

Why are you up or decking Wendy's?

00:20:46

Wendy's was trashing him.

00:20:49

Wendy's was trashing Gino.

00:20:50

Gino, yeah. Offered him a job. Yeah.

00:20:52

I missed that one.

00:20:53

So he was deciding between the Jets and Wendy's.

00:20:55

Yeah, and Wendy's is broke right now.

00:20:57

Okay.

00:20:58

So good decision, Gino.

00:20:59

And what about the Carson Wents?

00:21:03

Yeah, I saw a report that Carson Wents is going to be the backup. So Gino Smith's starter, Carson Wents backup.

00:21:10

Those are Pro bowlers.

00:21:13

I mean, Gino Smith can still play.

00:21:15

2017, that's a lethal roster.

00:21:19

Yeah.

00:21:20

Actually, 2017 was Gino was bad. Gino beat the Patriots last year. I don't know what we're talking about.

00:21:24

That's a good point by memes.

00:21:25

It is true. Basically, beat the bears. Kickers.

00:21:28

Basically, beat the Pretty much beat the bears.

00:21:31

I actually think Gino is still going to be fine.

00:21:34

I think that was a shit situation last year. We've agreed to forget that he was on the Raiders, that Pete Carroll was the coach. As far as I'm concerned, Memes, you're taking Gino from the Seahawks directly from the Seahawks to the Jets, and that's a good deal.

00:21:51

I picked a real bad day to wear all this Seattle stuff.

00:21:54

Yeah, but this is a good deal.

00:21:57

I think it's a good deal. I just don't know.

00:22:01

The way that it's breaking down, it feels like the Raiders are paying almost the entire salary, right?

00:22:06

Yeah. The reason why they traded for him is because the Vikings had interest in him. If he went to the Vikings, everybody would just be saying, Kevin O'Neill is going to fix him. But now that he's on the Jets, people are just going to say, I can't imagine being a Jets fan.

00:22:22

That's where you think that-That's where the anger comes. Hypothetically, if something different had happened, then we would be reacting differently to it.

00:22:29

But what's a situation that wouldn't have gotten this reaction?

00:22:35

Aaron Rodgers.

00:22:37

Yeah, Aaron Rodgers. No way.

00:22:41

People say Hall of Famer could fix that problem. I'm not-That it's just like Geno Smith was already there.

00:22:46

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, though. You're saying that it's not fair that the media would have said, Kevin O'Know will do a good job with Gino Smith, but because he signs with the Jets, people are like, Oh, Gino Smith won't be a good quarterback for the Jets.

00:23:00

That seems really fair.

00:23:01

But Geno Smith has played for the Jets in the past.

00:23:04

And Kevin O'Cono just came along And what happened?

00:23:07

And he wasn't very good for the Jets.

00:23:09

What happened?

00:23:10

He got punched.

00:23:11

He got punched in the face.

00:23:11

He got punched, and then Ryan Fitzpatrick had a career year.

00:23:14

That's But Kevin O'Cono does have a track record of-How's JJ McCarthy doing? Right, but Sam McDonald just won a Super Bowl.

00:23:21

With another team.

00:23:23

I disavowed that, by the way. He's- The JJ McCarthy, just so we know.

00:23:28

That's a bit It's a bit far. You're lashing out there. That's a bit far. Either way, fun free agency start. We're going to get into everything with Nate Tice, where he breaks it all down. But the Raiders, Tyler Linderbaum, huge contract, which actually was a great contract for him because I think he's 25 years old. He's going to be a free agent again, essentially after two years. After two years, he could basically say, I want an extension or get more money. So he's going to double dip. He's going to dip again. I I like that the Raiders got. There's certain teams that just needed to get competent guys on the roster. It feels like the Raiders did that. It feels like the Jets did that. It feels like the Titans did that.

00:24:08

It felt to me like the Raiders were just doing a full team transplant. It's like our team was very bad last year. We're going to go out, we're going to spend $280 million to get people who weren't on the Raiders to be on the Raiders. And therefore, we should be a lot better at football. They did get some good... Like, Quitty Pay, I think, is a good player. Linderbaum is a very good player. And every dollar spent by Tom braided getting these types of good players a dollar that is almost worth double because it's got the added bonus of keeping them off the Patriots.

00:24:36

Yeah.

00:24:36

In fact, Memes, you should be excited about that. Tom braided elected to trade Geno Smith to you because he knew that it would be bad for the Patriots if Geno Smith was in that division.

00:24:49

That's a really good spin zone. Yeah.

00:24:52

That is true, but Tom braided also doesn't like the Jets.

00:24:57

Right. Also true. Also true. Fair point.

00:25:00

Do you guys want to do some winners? I thought the Panthers getting Jalen Phillips, even though it was a lot of money. I feel like you got to do it. So much money. So much money, but cap went up. I feel like you have to do those type of moves, especially when you are a playoff team from last year. Your defense was a problem. You have a few defensive guys. You need to fill a lot of holes. He's young, he's versatile. The Eagles probably would have liked to have him back, right? Not at that price. Not at that price. But I'm saying the Eagles would have liked to have him back.

00:25:27

They were trying to get him back, and then the Panthers gave him that price, and then it was like, All right, fine. You'll take it. We'll take another third. We just get third-round pics every year.

00:25:35

But if I were a GM... By the way, the compensatory pics are bullshit. The bears got absolutely screwed with the Ian Cunningham thing where Matt Ryan basically said, I'm not making any of the decisions. We'll just get rid of the system if that's the case. But the Panthers, I like the move for Jalen Phillips. If I were a GM in the NFL, I would just try to copy my work off of all the good GMs. I'd be like, Oh, Howie How he wants to resign Jalen Phillips, I'll give him more money.

00:26:03

Slightly, yeah.

00:26:04

Yeah. Just any good GM, if they're interested at all, I just be like, Well, here's a little bit more money. It's a sound strategy.

00:26:14

I think it was a lot more money.

00:26:15

A lot more money. Sometimes you got to pay a lot more money for it. Also, we say this every year, all these contracts are just... They mean nothing right now. The max amount of money gets reported, and then they get into the details, and it's like, Oh, they can cut them after two years?

00:26:31

I'm seeing more and more of the total value and then guaranteed. The total value one is just completely made up. It's just totally made up. $190 million with $25 million guaranteed. You know what? I'm going to consider that a job, a War won by us against the NFL media over the last 10 years. When we started the show, nobody reported the guaranteed money.

00:26:52

We could never figure it out.

00:26:53

And idiots like us complained enough and told the NFL reporters the RAP reports and the Schefters of the world, that when you report these contracts, we know we're on to you. The agents are telling you it's $150 million. It's really only $40 million. Can we please get the real numbers? We won that war. Congratulations.

00:27:11

Yeah, the Jalen Philips contract is $120 million reported. It's $80 million guaranteed.

00:27:16

Which is a good amount. Which is a good amount.

00:27:17

That's a lot of guaranteed money. It's definitely a good amount, but it's like that's not 120 million that we initially saw. Okay, other winners from free agency. I think I would put the Falcons just because they got all the left-handed quarterbacks.

00:27:32

They got all the left-handed players.

00:27:33

They've cornered the market. I don't really know what to say other than that with the Falcons because I just still can't believe the course of events that have occurred with the Falcons and the fact that they signed Kirk Cousins to a ton of money, drafted Michael Penix, who's been injured his whole career, then got injured, and then they're like, Well, then we'll get Tua.

00:27:50

It's the funniest thing. It's crazy. It's very funny. I think that they are, and we're going to talk about it a little bit with Nate Tice, but they've got a left-handed center. I I think they were the only team that had a left-handed center and left-handed quarterback. Now they've got a left-handed quarterback and a left-handed backup quarterback to go along with their left-handed center. It's a weird fit. I don't think that Tua can throw the ball downfield at all, but he can do swing passes to Bajon, and that's pretty much what they're going to ask him to do there.

00:28:21

Maybe his hip can get better.

00:28:23

I don't think that Tua is going to... Well, he's got a mechanical robot hip. I don't think it's going to get that. I think what we saw from Tua is what we're going to get.

00:28:30

The Dolphins signing Malik Willis. I'm happy for Malik Willis to get that money. Part of me is like, it does feel like Malik Willis went from a bad situation in Tennessee to a good situation in Green Bay and potentially back to a bad situation in the Dolphins. But he's getting paid this time. But do you know what I mean? It's going to be a little bit harder for him to have the impact, maybe I'll be proven wrong, with a rebuilding roster like the Dolphins. But the Dolphins Dolphins GM and Jeff Hathley are both from the packers. They got to see him up close. They seemingly like him. They get to see him more than everyone else saw him. So it feels like a decent bet. It's more like, would you be shocked if Malik Willis in two years is like, What happened? Why wasn't he the same guy that he was with the packers? Well, he went to the Dolphins and they're rebuilding.

00:29:19

Right. I think Bobby Sloïc is their offensive coordinator, and he's been competent at times. I know some Texans fans might disagree with that, but he's had at least a few good years where he was the next hot young head coach. Willis' time in Green Bay, it's not going to get any better than that, I don't think. No. But if you got that Malik Willis from Green Bay, if you were guaranteed of that, then he would get paid like a top-tier quarterback. Oh, yeah, definitely. He played amazing when he got in in Green Bay. I think it's a low-risk situation for the Dolphins. They didn't break the bank for him. No, yeah, definitely. They paid him a good amount of money, and he's the best possible Bridge quarterback that you can have. If he's really good, then you can figure out a way to resign him, and that'll be great.

00:29:59

If he's bad, you'll just a draft.

00:30:00

If he's bad, it's like whatever. We're used to having bad quarterbacks.

00:30:03

Yeah, we'll be in the draft. The Rams, I think, did the best job in terms of filling their two immediate holes of cornerback, both cornerback positions, instantly. Chiefs Kenneth Walker I think that's a great signing. Again, we're going to get into all of it in detail. Nate Tyson knows a lot more football than we do, so he breaks down exactly what he thinks of every signing. I also thought, I like the move when Harba With the Giants, I need a couple of Ravens on my team just to keep a little continuity. They got Isiah likely, and I think they also got the punter who's a very good punter, Jordan Stout.

00:30:40

Yeah. I also liked what the other Harbaugh did. He got Alec Ingle as his fullback. Now, he had Matlock out in Los Angeles as his fullback, a fullback that didn't really play offense. He was a defensive lineman, and he would send him out there and occasionally be like, Hey, turn around and act like you're going to catch a pass. Alec Ingle may be the best fullback in football, and it was the most fullback move ever. When he signed with the Chargers, he signed. He's now the co-leading fullback in terms of payment. I love that. He's like, A lot of guys will be like, Give me $1 more so I can say I'm the highest paid fullback. Not Alec Ingle. That's not the fullback way. Yeah. He's tied for it.

00:31:15

There are four teams right now who have not done anything. Jaguars, Broncos, Eagles, Seahawks. Who's going to be the first to do something?

00:31:27

The Broncos didn't do anything? Not yet. Did they resign a singleton?

00:31:30

I'm saying free agents. Okay. Free agents not on their team signing them.

00:31:36

Okay.

00:31:36

Yeah. Not counting resigning guys existing on their roster. Because Travis Etienne went to the Saints, which I love for our guy, Shuck. Love for our guy Shuck. Who's going to be the first? Are the Eagles going to do anything, Max? Just wait and see?

00:31:53

Yeah, they'll do something. I mean...

00:31:56

Are the commanders going to sign a wide receiver, PFT?

00:31:58

We might.

00:31:59

Was that the A little smile.

00:32:00

I mean, Brandon Ayuk, he's the guy, the most talented wide receiver in this class. I think we're probably zeroed in on him.

00:32:06

Why are you smiling like that?

00:32:08

I read a couple of reports. I was waiting for PFT to bring it up, but Patriot signed Romeo Dobbs.

00:32:12

What reports?

00:32:13

He chose the it's over the commanders. Oh. Oh. That was the report? Yeah.

00:32:18

Was it money? No.

00:32:20

Who was it? It was a quarterback.

00:32:23

Seems racist. Okay, congrats, Dobbs. Romeo Dobbs. You noted racist? That's not a racist guy, if that's your thing. I mean, maybe in New England, there's some history there. But wait, so you're saying Romeo Dobbs is the guy that has to buy a prescription, wear a Guardian Cap everywhere he goes and in the shower because he's had so many concussions? He thinks that that Drake may have been better than Jane Daniels. That guy does.

00:32:49

Yeah.

00:32:50

Okay. You want to ask Amanda Binds or Joe Biden what they think? Some other intellectual Titans?

00:32:57

No, I was interested in your comment on the report.

00:32:59

That's not Shane, Romeo top's brain now.

00:33:01

I'm just saying the guy, he's known for having the biggest guarding cap in the league.

00:33:05

What's wrong with that?

00:33:06

He's saying he can't think anymore.

00:33:08

I'm just saying that's the guy that you're trusting his judgment. Okay.

00:33:11

I'm just telling you what the report was.

00:33:14

Yeah. Okay.

00:33:15

So he's reporting.

00:33:16

Okay.

00:33:16

All right. He's just doing reporting.

00:33:18

No, I'm fine with that. I think that there's better receivers out there than Romeo Dobbs.

00:33:21

What if they also choose the Patriots over the Commanders?

00:33:24

Then you're going to have a lot of receivers.

00:33:25

That'd be good.

00:33:27

What were you just listening to, Max? You have a report? I thought what the Commanders did was good. You got a defensive end. Oe.

00:33:37

Yeah. Yeah, O'A is a beast. Shane was very upset about that. Yeah, I like O'A. We may have paid him a lot of money, but- Sometimes you got to pay to play. You got to pay to play. You got to pay to play. Four years, $100 million, $68 million guaranteed for a way.

00:33:53

You got to just pay to play.

00:33:54

So I like it. But yeah, Hank, congratulations. Romeo, great wide receiver when he plays.

00:34:00

Yeah, I'm excited. He's young. Fast. Still probably need to get someone else, but-Who do you want? Aj Brown.

00:34:08

Yeah. Is Max going to give him to you?

00:34:12

You know the price.

00:34:14

You know the price.

00:34:15

The price is the price.

00:34:16

Two second rounders.

00:34:16

I feel like the price- Two second rounders, he will be an eagle.

00:34:19

I feel like the price might not be the price, Max.

00:34:23

What do you mean?

00:34:24

The price is the price.

00:34:25

The price might not be the price.

00:34:26

Well, no. Whatever the price goes for, that's what the price was.

00:34:29

You're talking I'm talking about T, P, the price. I'm talking about a lowercase P, price.

00:34:35

Then he will come back.

00:34:36

Because I don't think that Howie Roseman wants to have another year of A. J. Brown.

00:34:41

He would have traded him already if it was that.

00:34:47

The price is the price. That's why he hasn't traded him. You see what I'm saying? Even if he gets traded for a seventh rounder, that would be the price.

00:34:54

Yeah, but that's lowercase P. Max has an uppercase P in his mind right now. The big price. What's the big price, Max?

00:35:03

The price is the... It starts with the first round pick. You know what the price is. It starts with the first round pick. It starts with the first round pick. And realistically, it's probably a 20... If the Patriots won, it's a 2027 first round pick, not 2026.

00:35:15

Why is that?

00:35:17

Because their first-round pick this year is basically a second-round pick.

00:35:21

Are you going to be having any more changes on defense, Max?

00:35:29

Losing any more? See, this is a problem that I guess you don't really understand. When you draft really good players all the time, you have to pay really good players all the time.

00:35:38

Are you mansplaining it to them?

00:35:40

I get it, Max. That's why sometimes you lose guys in free agency because we have too many good guys.

00:35:46

No, I get that. That's why I'm wondering if you're planning to keep those guys.

00:35:49

I saw what you were trying to do. Yeah, we have a plan. We have a plan.

00:35:53

What's the plan?

00:35:54

The plan is to make sure that the core of this defense stays put. We have to make sure that we can retain the core of this defense. If that means that we are losing some guys, you can't sign everyone. That's how the NFL works. That's how the cap works. Howie is going to figure it out. Vic Fangio is going to figure it out. We're going to put together another successful defense. We lost a shit ton of guys last year on the defense, and then we came back and still had a top defense this year.

00:36:21

You're keeping the core. Who is the core?

00:36:25

Jordan Davis, Cooper Dujene, Quinian Mitchell, Mitchell, probably Jalen Carter.

00:36:34

He's probably the core.

00:36:36

Probably.

00:36:36

He's not like a nuclear guy, turnover.

00:36:39

He's probably the core.

00:36:40

Yeah, he's probably the core.

00:36:42

If not, we'll get a fuck ton of assets back for him.

00:36:45

Yep, compensatory pick.

00:36:47

You got to think about the future while also competing for the present. That's what good programs do. We got four picks back this year. That's what it's all about. And we draft well.

00:36:57

Yeah, it's a fact. Max, I I was honestly just trying to talk ball with you, and you seemed like you were getting upset.

00:37:03

Well, no, you were doing your thing. I didn't know exactly what you were doing.

00:37:07

I was just curious. I'm passing around. Hank was doing his thing to PFT, then PFT turned around and did it to Max. Yes.

00:37:13

Shut Hank up because he realized I'm not a racist, he was being.

00:37:16

I didn't do anything. I merely reported a report.

00:37:19

How many Ks in Hank?

00:37:21

One. One. My name's Henry.

00:37:25

It is. I love the name Henry. Thank you. I like what the bears did, too. Kobe Bryant. That's cool. Yeah, it's cool. It sounds like Kobe Bryant.

00:37:33

I mean, he's a good player, but yeah, he's also a good player.

00:37:35

Yeah, no, he's very good player. Also his name. And Devin Bush, who should be... It's a fine free agent. I'm actually happy that we're not in a spot where we have to be a Raiders and just sign everyone. It's like, Hey, a couple of good. Now it's time for draft. Now it's go time in the draft. Zack, how are you feeling about Mike Evans no longer being a one Jersey guy?

00:37:57

I really wanted to see Mike Evans retire as a Tan Bay Bucaneer. He provided a lot of joyful moments on Sundays watching the Bucs. But he's not. But he's not. He's going out to California. There's a couple of different reasons maybe why he left.

00:38:15

He sounded like a parent who's losing their son to go pursue the dreams of being an actor, and you're like, Stay on the farm, son.

00:38:22

Yeah.

00:38:23

I thought he left. I thought he was getting paid. I was like, All right, yeah, good for him. I thought he was getting 3 or 60, which I guess the guaranteed money is like 16 million. He's going to pay a lot of taxes out there. Wouldn't have paid all those in Florida.

00:38:37

It seems personal.

00:38:38

I'm thinking maybe him and Todd Bull just don't... Maybe they weren't meant to be.

00:38:43

Yeah.

00:38:43

Is what I think it really comes down to. I think so.

00:38:46

Yeah, I think a lot of Mike Evans, and so that would fit nicely with what I think about him.

00:38:53

See, I don't feel good about it at all. No.

00:38:55

How could you?

00:38:56

Yeah.

00:38:57

Also, the Michael Pitman dealership, I I feel like they're just gearing up for Aaron Rodgers to come back.

00:39:02

Yeah. I mean, are they going to do Will Howard? Because that seems like it's their only other option. Will Howard next year. Will Howard? Will Howard next year. Yeah, they have to be thinking that Aaron is going to come back. Yeah. If you're getting This is a perfect Aaron Rodgers guy. That's the guy. Yes. You just want to run short patterns? Yes. You want to think and dunk? Let's do that.

00:39:22

Yes. Did you see, I think- It is cool that Pittsburgh got a guy named Pitman.

00:39:27

That is cool. That's pretty bad. It sounds like a superhero.

00:39:30

That's underrated. You're right. Did you guys see... Shit, I wish I bookmarked it. I think on day one of NFL Free Agency... Oh, yeah. Final tally, Adam Schefter, 27. News breaks. Tom Pelisaro, 14. Mike Garoffalo, seven. Jordan Schultz, four. Ian Rapport, four. Other, 10. 27 to 4 between Schefter and Rapport.

00:40:00

That's wild.

00:40:01

That's a blowout.

00:40:02

Yeah.

00:40:03

Is Schefty in his prime? I think he might be in his prime right now.

00:40:08

Honestly, running up the score a little bit. Bad sportsmanship by Shefti.

00:40:15

That's a blowout. That's a blowout. I remember when it used to be a competition. It's no longer a competition.

00:40:22

How many of those were by 10 seconds?

00:40:25

I don't know. They've been increasingly low on details. The news breaking now has to be first by a matter of seconds that they all just break the news, then update the news five minutes later.

00:40:42

He updates the tweet. He goes back and edits the tweet, but my tweet got up first.

00:40:45

That shouldn't count. You should not be able to report it until you have all the details.

00:40:50

I think you can report it, but the report has to stay up. You can't change it. You just have to live with it.

00:40:55

Okay. Like I said, we're going to get into all the free agency with Nate Tyson. He actually breaks it down in a smart way instead of us just egging each other on to say something. 00:42:21

Other stories. World Base Classic is awesome. Continues to be sick.

00:42:26

It was a great game last night. Yeah. Honestly, Phil, there was one moment where it felt like Mexico might come back. It felt like things might be- A little tense. Might be slipping a little bit, but the USA pulls through. Witt is just such a good player.

00:42:39

Bobby Witt was putting on a defensive master class.

00:42:43

Paul Skane's love playing with Bobby Witt. It's great seeing guys that are like, Man, baseball can be so fun.

00:42:49

Yeah, I'm allowed to have fun playing this. Paul Skine's also helped out, gave a nice assist to Kevin Durant, who had not tweeted since the entire Kevin Durant burner files. Durant came out of retirement just saying Paul Skeens is a dog, which I said right away, it's like it's such a layup. It's like tweeting, Ice Cream is Good. Everyone will agree with Paul Skine is a dog. He gave Kevin Durant a beautiful re-entry point into the Twitter world, where obviously all the replies are just like, Hey, man, are you ever going to talk about the fact you trash people online? But it doesn't matter. We're talking about USA. We're talking about Paul Skine being a dog.

00:43:26

It's like you're not being patriotic. Why you bring up old shit on Kevin Durant? Right, exactly. Why can't you just admit that Paul Skine is currently a dog right now? Yes. He was a dog. And we also had the- And he also paid. I don't know if you caught this part of the broadcast. He paid for a bunch of F-35 pilots to be there. Love that. And a couple, I think, C-130s, too. There were just pilots all over the stadium last week. Nice.

00:43:50

We also had the Cal Raleigh, Randy Orozierana beef, which I love. So they're Seattle Mariner's teammates. Randy goes up to him to give him a little tap when he comes up to the plate. Cal Raleigh says, No, dude, we're in the World Baseball Classic. This shit means something to me. Then I think it might be real beef.

00:44:13

I didn't think that it was at first. I thought that it was a teammate rolling up, and he's got like pine tar in his hands. He's trying to fuck with Cal Raleigh, trying to get him to dap him up. But then I saw the comments from Meroza Arena afterwards, and he says, The only thing that Raleigh should be thankful for is having such great parents. He's well-educated. I was lucky enough to see them a few days ago at the hotel. They came over to greet me, gave me a big hug. They were genuinely proud to see me again. Then he said, Raleigh needs to fuck off. Go to hell. That good to see you bullshit that he said to me, he can shove it straight up his ass. I'm out.

00:44:48

Was that a weird mafia threat where he's like, I saw your parents. Your parents look great. I know what your parents look like.

00:44:54

Yeah, the only thing he should be thankful for is his two lovely parents who are staying currently in room 207 of the same hotel that I am.

00:45:03

I love this because I think everyone going into the World Baseball Classic is like, the only thing we don't want is for it to feel like an All-Star game. We want it to be real bad blood. These guys are about to start the season. So Cal, thank you. Cal Rauley, thank you. You gave it the juice we need, and I'm down for it. I don't want this juice.

00:45:25

I didn't think that Rauley would be the guy to do it because he is such a nice guy. I know. But everybody's I got to do something. He didn't get any hits last night, so I'm glad he stirred this up a little bit.

00:45:33

He's an American hero.

00:45:34

He is an American hero for that. It was crazy to see Aaron Judge putting a team on his back in a situation that doesn't really matter. But he did it again last night.

00:45:42

Like you said, it did matter at one point where it was just like, Oh, It's it. This could be a close game.

00:45:47

And so tonight we have USA against the Italians, right? Max. For the winner of Pool B. Max, who are you rooting for?

00:45:54

It's got to be the Americans.

00:45:55

But what if the Italians win?

00:45:59

Well, I think the Americans still advance.

00:46:02

No, I know. But what if the Italians win? Will you tweet maybe one Italian flag? No. Okay.

00:46:08

You're not celebrating at all.

00:46:10

It is funny because Team Italy is just all Americans. Oh, yeah. All Americans. That are just like New Jersey Italians. Our guy Vinnie.

00:46:17

Every team is just different Americans.

00:46:20

Well, not Japan and Dominican Republic. But all of the-Yeah, the teams that can't fill out full rosters.

00:46:26

Czechia is just pretty much people from the Czech Republic.

00:46:29

Did you see that guy? You pitch four innings today, scoreless. He's an electrician.

00:46:33

It was incredible. He's an electrician. He's an electrician. He shut out Japan for four innings. Then the Tokyo Dome gave him a standing round of applause when they pulled him out of the game. Just a nation that loves ball.

00:46:44

That was going to be my cool thrown is this, is baseball takes in 50 years.

00:46:48

What about it?

00:46:49

If you're talking about Shohe, you can literally say he was just playing against electricians.

00:46:52

Yeah, good point, Hank.

00:46:55

That's a great point.

00:46:56

Was he that good? Hank, that's-He got shut out by an electrician.

00:47:00

That's something from PFT.

00:47:01

That's a great take.

00:47:01

Pft, you should have said that first. I should have. That's something that you should do.

00:47:04

You may have lost your fastball.

00:47:07

No, no, no. First of all, that's bullshit because you're not giving credit to Hank. You're making this about me. No, but that's- No, I don't like that. We should be celebrating Hank for coming up with an awesome fucking joke.

00:47:22

No, it is. It's a great joke. Yeah, great joke.

00:47:24

Pft tired, Hank wired?

00:47:25

No, Hank- When Hank first said that, did a little bit in the back of your mind be like, Fuck, I should have thought of I was too busy doing the Yankees joke last night.

00:47:32

I like that one.

00:47:34

There's a Metz, England fan. That poor guy. That poor bastard. But Hank, great joke. Yeah.

00:47:43

Spent enough time together, he rubs off. Yeah.

00:47:46

Now I'm skipping work on Mondays to play golf. Hank's making puns. It's a beautiful thing.

00:47:52

You guys are golfing this weekend?

00:47:53

Buzzing. Locked up. Me and Hank are back to be on great terms together. We love that. Congrats on Romeo Dobbs. He's a great player. Just don't ask him to catch any onside kicks.

00:48:03

Have you changed your stance on the Celtics feature? Have you done anything with that after being called the coward?

00:48:09

Well, listen, I cash that out because of Hank's crying, his tears.

00:48:14

Yeah, we know that.

00:48:16

I've got another plan, but I'm not going to be doing a future on the Celtics.

00:48:21

Okay.

00:48:21

He's got the other plan. My plan will not be to put the future on the Celtics to win. When I make the bet, you'll be the first to know.

00:48:27

By the way, I do appreciate the NBA SGA every now and then having a game where you're like, Oh, yeah. Wemby Friday night, and then last night or Monday night was Jokić and SGA, which was incredible.

00:48:37

Celtics killed Wemby tonight.

00:48:40

Oh, this is a pre-take. But yeah, SGA was- Another classic. Would he tie Wilt for most 20-point games in a row?

00:48:46

Most consecutive 20-point games. Was it like 100 something? It's crazy. In a row? That's actually insane.

00:48:51

Insane. He had 35, 15, and 9, and Jokuj had, I think he had a triple-double. Yeah, he had 32 2, 14, and 13. It went down to the last shot. It's like, Oh, yeah, this is awesome.

00:49:05

As a Lou Dort apologist, do you have any comment about the flying elbow that he put?

00:49:11

I think Jokuj's face shouldn't have been there.

00:49:13

Okay. Standby or got it?

00:49:15

Jokuj's face attacked Lou Dorts' elbow.

00:49:17

Would you say that if Jokuj's brothers were here?

00:49:22

Yeah, I would.

00:49:23

Okay.

00:49:24

Where are they?

00:49:25

In this room? Let me... Let's bring them in.

00:49:27

Do they speak fluent English?

00:49:28

No, I think that's What do you got to do for your guy Lou Dorts. Just have his back no matter what.

00:49:32

So if they don't speak fluent English, I would definitely say the same thing. Listen, Lou Dore goes hard. What are you going to do?

00:49:38

He does. It was a great game.

00:49:40

He's playing hard basketball, and sometimes, elbows end up in people's faces in weird spots. Yeah, he lost control of his arm. He lost control of his left arm for a brief second.

00:49:52

What do you think about SGA's press conference after the game? He had a pretty cold line. Yeah, what was it? It was something like, I've got I've got all the answers to the test, but first I have to look at the questions. Yeah.

00:50:07

That is a cold line. I have answers to the test, but I got to see the questions first. Yeah. And he's got cool sunglasses on.

00:50:13

He's got cool shades. It's very 1980s look at him. I like this look better than the last one where it looked... Yeah, he was wearing the parka.

00:50:23

Okay. Any other sports things before we do Hot Seat Cool Throne, which I know we'll hit some more. Conference Championship Week.

00:50:30

I love it. Caleb Foster might be out for the entire tournament.

00:50:34

I already said sorry.

00:50:35

Yeah. It looks like he's got a broken foot. Maybe the Jones fracture.

00:50:39

I already said sorry.

00:50:40

Yeah, we did this already.

00:50:41

Yeah, no, I said sorry.

00:50:42

No, but the report got updated today.

00:50:44

Yeah, and I said sorry, and I- Sounds racist. I continue my sorry. My sorry stays.

00:50:52

It is interesting the way they're wording everything, though.

00:50:55

What do you mean? I think with him, he's out for the tournament.

00:50:59

They haven't used that terminology. What are they said? They're saying that he's out for the foreseeable future. Everything I'm seeing is foreseeable future. I have not seen that he's out for the season.

00:51:10

If it's the Jones fracture, of which I am a survivor, Max, aren't you a survivor?

00:51:14

Shier announced it. Oh, never mind. What? No. No.

00:51:17

No. No.

00:51:20

No Interesting.

00:51:30

I wish you were wrong. Wait, which side are you on, Max?

00:51:33

Goodman's got so many. I don't know.

00:51:35

I just feel like the wording foreseeable future is weird. Why wouldn't you just say out for the season?

00:51:43

I mean, Duke's so good, it doesn't really matter.

00:51:46

See, like ESPN, foreseeable Future. Forseiable Future.

00:51:52

Well, that is true.

00:51:54

He's out for the foreseeable... Yeah, it's true.

00:51:56

He is out for the foreseeable future. Okay.

00:52:02

How long is the foreseeable future, though?

00:52:04

That's what I'm saying. I don't know. We don't know.

00:52:06

The way this crazy world is.

00:52:08

Could be tomorrow, the next day?

00:52:10

Maybe. If we even wake up tomorrow.

00:52:12

I apologize, Hank. Injuries suck.

00:52:16

They do.

00:52:17

Especially this time of year, I don't want them. I want just a clean tournament. I want the best on best. That's what I want, and I really wish he was fine. Hopefully, he'll be back. Yeah. Let's just hope he's back.

00:52:32

Be an awesome story.

00:52:33

Be an awesome story.

00:52:35

Can you imagine? Final Four. Caleb Foster returns for the final Four. Then Duke loses in the final. What a amazing story that would be. No, don't do that.

00:52:45

Come on, dude.

00:52:46

I'm sorry. Come on.

00:52:48

Okay, let's do Hotsi Cool Terrone, brought to you by Jose Cuervo. When Cuervo enters, every moment just gets better. You find yourself in the center of the dance floor. You can't help but stand up and high five those around you at the game. The room reacts like it just got the same text at the same time. You stop checking the time. Suddenly small talk escalates to laughing so hard. You can barely catch your breath. That's the Cuervo effect, a signal everybody understands, a moment that anyone can join in a good time that just grows. All you have to do is keep it Cuervo. We're also brought to you by our friends at Slim Jim. This episode is brought to you by Slim Jim, and we have some big news to report. If the game's on, you need to be locked in with snacks on deck. So stock up for game day and tear into the new Buffalo Wild Wing chicken sticks from Slim Jim. I'm going to open one and take a bite right now. I'm going to slap in.

00:54:16

I'm going to snap in. Snap in.

00:54:18

Oh, that's really good.

00:54:19

There you go.

00:54:20

I love this. All right, Hank, your hot seat, cool throw.

00:54:23

My hot seat is you, Big Cat. Uh-oh. Why? I don't want to give free publicity to competition, but your co-host, PFT, has found a new friend to debate sports with.

00:54:39

Careful.

00:54:40

Who? And he spent, I don't know, three hours this morning.

00:54:43

No, not three hours.

00:54:44

Just have dishing back and forth takes. With who? It was an AI app. Oh, no. Of a competitor.

00:54:52

There's an AI competitor that you can have a conversation with and talk sports.

00:54:56

The Colin Howard app?

00:54:58

Yeah. We got into it pretty... That's a colleague. Yeah, we got into it pretty hard this morning, but it was one of those things like mutual respect. It was two great boxers getting into the ring for 12 rounds. At the end of it, we each hold each other's arms up, we step off, and we're just happy to be sharing the same space as the other guy.

00:55:14

Colin Howard sold all of his data to AI. That's fucked.

00:55:20

It's worth it. He can make a divorce reference out of anything. I was pushing the limits of this thing.

00:55:28

That's crazy. It's just an AI? How does it work?

00:55:33

I sit down, I make sure Big Cat's not around, and then I open up the app. Isn't this the-I say, Feed me a hot take, Colin. Then I disagree with him. I say, How does this relate to Blockbuster Netflix?

00:55:48

Isn't this the Waukeen Phoenix, her or whatever, falls in love with a robot?

00:55:53

I saw it and I was like, This is ridiculous. Who's going to use this app? And then, I'm not joking, PFT was debating with it for It was about 45 minutes. Jesus Christ.

00:56:00

It was about 45. That's bad.

00:56:02

Well, I was also asking it, Give me some Jets takes. And then Memes was getting upset with the AI. Oh, no. And then I was playing in Shane's ear about the chargers, and Shane actually got mad like it was a person. And he started arguing with my phone.

00:56:15

Then I just- Do you have any saved?

00:56:17

I don't know if you can save them. I took them video.

00:56:19

Let me play a video real quick.

00:56:22

Hear this. I don't know. I feel like there's a lot of office chatter.

00:56:25

Okay. You think that LeBron James is still bending the sport to his will. He just broke the career field goals record. So you're just doing this all morning?

00:56:41

For about 30 minutes.

00:56:42

Oh, man. I am worried. I am worried. That's not true, Colin. It's better without-So you can talk to it?

00:56:53

Yeah, but I was thinking about you the whole time.

00:56:54

I swear. Wait, you can talk to it? How does that work?

00:56:57

Yeah, you talk. You have an engaging back and forth. This is It's not an ad, by the way. No. I don't think that too many people are going to absolutely... It would be a very sad person that's at home by themselves arguing with AI Colin Howard.

00:57:09

Like you were going to do.

00:57:11

I was doing it behind Hank. I was Also, after 30 minutes of doing it, I thought to myself, this is like me taking batting practice before I get into the studio when the lights go on and it's game time. But yeah, me and Colin had a dynamic back and forth. I did. I beat him in the debates, though. Hank even said a few times, you broke it. You did? Yeah.

00:57:35

Well, the longer, sometimes it takes a long time to answer. I was like, We almost be cowards.

00:57:39

Colin can't fuck with me. Okay. So you have nothing to worry about being Coulon. How much does his app cost? It was free.

00:57:44

Is there upgrades you paid for?

00:57:46

I might have to pay some upgrades. Yeah, it's OnlyFans for Coulon Coulon. Okay.

00:57:52

Then my cool throw is respecting women.

00:57:55

Yeah, hell, yeah.

00:57:56

Yeah, the Atlanta Hawks canceled Magic City Night. Thank God. It would have been disgusting, bad for the kids.

00:58:04

So I'm happy they saw the error of their ways and canceled this night.

00:58:10

I'm just happy. You're happy? Lou Cornet, hero, respecter of Women.

00:58:18

Good stuff. I think next Monday, we should make it Magic City Night in part of my take. How about that?

00:58:23

Did you see someone pointed out that there is now the greatest The three merch items that have never been released are sitting in Atlanta somewhere. 2020 was supposed to be the final four when COVID happened. 2021 was the MLB All-Star Game. Remember the bathroom thing and they moved it? And then Magic City. They already made the sweatshirts. Whoever has those three is a king.

00:58:51

The Magic City sweatshirts were amazing.

00:58:54

I want it. Not Hank. You can't wear it.

00:58:57

No, fuck no.

00:58:58

You're such a fucking prude, dude.

00:59:00

Why are you afraid of titties?

00:59:02

I love Titties. I think Titties are good. I love kids and Titties. I love seeing Titties, but I also care about the kids and the NBA being a sport, all-inclusive sport.

00:59:12

I also saw someone had a nice checkmate where they're like, I would much rather have to explain to my kids what Magic City is than what this statue is. It was just a picture of Karl Malone.

00:59:23

Fair point. At a jazz game? Yeah. Or why is this team called the Jazz? Yeah. Again, I think that the most offensive thing to the kids was Atlanta Hawks basketball. Magic City being there.

00:59:33

Hope you feel good. You're a canceling Karen. That's what you are, just so you know. You're a canceling Karen.

00:59:41

If you don't like it, then just don't go to it.

00:59:43

No, you're a canceling Karen. You close your eyes, bro.

00:59:46

What if you're a diehard Hawks fan with a young kid? Close your eyes.

00:59:49

I do think that that scenario is maybe my favorite scenario. A young Hawks family from rural Georgia that scrimps and saves up $75 a year. They're the best. To buy a ticket. They finally got their ticket to the game, and it's on that Monday. They bought it five months ago. Come on, you all. Get in the car. We're going to go see our Atlanta Hawks now. It's Tate Farm Arena. They drive across the state. They get in, and they're like, What is Magic City? That is the funniest possible scenario. I'm upset that that didn't happen anybody.

01:00:19

But you also have to remember that that person would have been more upset about Paolo not playing for load management.

01:00:26

True.

01:00:27

So they were already upset.

01:00:28

Yeah.

01:00:30

Yeah, the mental twist. Listen, find this canceled, just own the fact that you are canceling Karen. No.

01:00:38

Okay. Well, you are. I'm not. I'm a supporter of women and Lou Cornet. If that's wrong, I don't want to be right.

01:00:44

Why don't the Atlanta Hawks simply have a game at Magic City. That way everybody that goes to the game is- Because it's a strip club, not a basketball arena. Is opting in to go into the game. They're not going to show up to a basketball game and be subjected to strip club.

01:00:57

They don't have cameras in there.

01:00:58

You know what? I'm going to find Luke Cornet's sub stack. I'm going to subscribe, and I'm going to start making a list of things.

01:01:04

I don't think you have to subscribe.

01:01:05

Okay, well, I'm going to start making a list of things that you should probably follow Luke Cornet in your life.

01:01:10

Okay. What does that mean?

01:01:12

I'm sure he's got rules for everything. Okay. Yeah.

01:01:16

Being the fucking man.

01:01:17

Is that what it is? Yeah.

01:01:19

Okay. Funny guy. Let's get him on.

01:01:23

Would love to. I'll take my shirt off.

01:01:28

Mims, you don't want him? No. The guy's blog got an entire night canceled.

01:01:35

I would say this is anti-respective women.

01:01:37

I agree. But that's a powerful blog. You have to admit that, like a tip of the cap to the power of his blog, the pen is mightier than the sword, as they say.

01:01:45

Yeah, cancel culture is real. It is anti-respecting women. You're right, Memes.

01:01:50

Yeah. We wanted to promote people going to this club, giving these women more money. Right.

01:01:56

You're basically shaming the women being like, Oh, this is a line of profession shouldn't be celebrated whatsoever.

01:02:02

Luke Cornet wants to suppress women. Yeah.

01:02:04

Not cool. They're earning money, Hank.

01:02:07

How about increase the wage gap, Luke Cornet?

01:02:09

Oh, yeah. How about fucking go through the glass ceiling, Luke Cornet? We respect women.

01:02:14

Why don't we address the pink tax, Luke Cornet?

01:02:17

Yeah. Get their ass out. Yeah, let's go.

01:02:19

Also, happy belated International Women's Day. Yeah.

01:02:23

Didn't see a tweet about that, Hank.

01:02:25

No, I didn't.

01:02:26

Yeah, exactly.

01:02:26

You don't respect women. Every day is international.

01:02:28

Yeah, right. So you just never tweet about it.

01:02:31

I don't tweet, period.

01:02:33

That's not true.

01:02:36

I tweet about this show because I have to.

01:02:39

Because you have to? Yeah.

01:02:41

It's called your Job? Or else no one's going to know it came out.

01:02:45

You were excited about Marquette Nation the other day. You tweet about that. You're more excited about- That was a callback to this show. You're more excited about Marquette than you are about women.

01:02:55

I'm not a tweeter.

01:02:57

Yeah.

01:02:58

I'm an exister sometimes, if you guys let me. Exister.

01:03:04

By the way, Hank, do you want to put a little something on... Where's the Big East tournament? Why can't I find the Big East tournament?

01:03:11

I did.

01:03:12

It's in Madison Square Garden.

01:03:14

No, I know, but I... Fuck you, Max. All right, Max. You already put it on for him to win?

01:03:21

65 to 1.

01:03:23

I don't see it.

01:03:25

It was up there last night, probably because the game's going on.

01:03:28

No, I hadn't started yet. All right, I'll find it, hopefully. Okay, your cool turn.

01:03:37

It was respecting women.

01:03:39

Oh, yeah, that's right. I already forgot it because you're just lying. Okay, PFT, your hot seat cool to roll?

01:03:46

My hot seat is the PGA- What?

01:03:48

I'm lying about what?

01:03:50

You don't respect women. You're white nighting. They're not going to fuck you, bro. They're strippers. Okay?

01:03:56

They're not going to fuck me. Strippers love me. Oh, yeah, they always do. They always tell me that.

01:04:00

Yeah, not anymore.

01:04:02

You just took away a fun night for them.

01:04:03

Hank might be banned from most strip clubs in America now. Do not serve this customer. Have fun on Max's Bachelorette party.

01:04:11

Bachelorette party.

01:04:13

Yeah.

01:04:14

We got to get him in a fucking white cowboy hat.

01:04:16

I think we should all wear matching shit, have a scavenger hunt on Max's shirt.

01:04:21

A white cowboy hat. Oh, man. Okay.

01:04:26

Pft? My hot seat is the rest of the PGA tour because But for Brooks, a little stat that went way under the radar, Brooks switched up as putter at the cognizant for the final round. Okay. And Brooks shot the lowest round out there. He shot 65 on Sunday. Nobody's talking about it because he didn't win. Then he didn't play last weekend. But quietly, Brooks Skepka is playing maybe the best golf of his last, what, three years? And so this week, he's back at the players. His one issue that he's had, the players is hitting the Island green at 17. Hit it during his practice round. Stuck it. Let's go. So that and the new putter that he's got. Brooks. I feel like Brooks might be back this week.

01:05:06

Brooks, let's go.

01:05:09

I'm very excited about Brooks coming back.

01:05:10

Fifth major? Would you guys actually be mad if they made it a fifth major?

01:05:14

The players? Yeah. I think it should be the fifth major.

01:05:17

How do you make it the fifth major?

01:05:19

I think the PGA just makes it the fifth major.

01:05:21

What about the... Was it Farmer's Insurance?

01:05:27

The Travelers? Travelers, sorry.

01:05:30

What about the Travelers?

01:05:30

Is that the NBA Finals?

01:05:31

What about the John Deere?

01:05:34

That's the debate that's going on right now.

01:05:36

Well, I guess that could just be the sixth.

01:05:38

We've been calling everything the fifth Major.

01:05:40

I know. But if they made an actual major the fifth Major, that would be tough for you guys.

01:05:45

Why?

01:05:47

Because you call everything the fifth Major.

01:05:48

Well, then just switch to the sixth Major, which is what I called Bay Hill. Because I've been low-key saying that the players is the fifth Major consistently. Now my mind's already moved on to the next one, so I'll be ready for that if that day comes. But yeah, the players, it's got a lot of juice. A lot of the guys treat it like it's major. The Island Green, the iconic 17th, and Brooks is ready to go.

01:06:13

Okay.

01:06:14

Hank, who do you got this weekend? Brooks.

01:06:17

Ludwig.

01:06:19

Two?

01:06:21

Yeah. Who about Max?

01:06:23

Max. Always Max. Nice.

01:06:26

All right. Your Cool Throne? My Cool Throne is just calling things the next Sam Darnold. I've just heard so many next Sam Darnold's all week. If you're talking about a quarterback, he's the next Sam Darnold. Every team is looking for the next Sam Darnold. I think we should just make it regardless of what sport or what athlete. It should just be anything in the world, anything that used to be. Flask forward to later on this episode, laser tag might be the next Sam Darnold. But regardless of anything that you got, if it's something you used to enjoy back in the day, I'm overloaded with hearing people say- Sam Darnald. The next Sam Darnald. Too many Sam Darnalds out there.

01:07:03

The next Sam Darnald. Okay, my hot seat is Doug Prescott, who we talked about on Monday, but the email leak that he sent all of his guests for his wedding. He's got to get better friends. That sucks. What was in the email? Someone sold it to TMZ. It was innocuous, so it's not a big deal, but it still sucks. As many of you know, our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday, April 10th, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we welcome your prayers. Sarah Jane Ramos and Dack Prescott. That sucks that someone sold the email to TMZ. That fucking sucks.

01:07:51

There's nothing sacred anymore.

01:07:53

Hank, where do you land on the prenup situation?

01:07:58

What do you mean?

01:08:00

Rumor has it it had nothing to do with the prenup.

01:08:02

But I'm just asking Hank in general.

01:08:04

I know. I'm just giving Hank that out there.

01:08:07

In terms of what? It's prenups.

01:08:10

He's for or against.

01:08:12

I'm for. Okay.

01:08:15

Okay.

01:08:16

If you really love someone, the money shouldn't matter.

01:08:20

Yeah, it's a good point.

01:08:22

Who cares if she makes more than you?

01:08:23

Then you would be against. Yeah, because the prenup would mean the money matters.

01:08:34

This is a tough one. If you're for a prenup, that means that if you get divorced, you keep your money. The money matters. If you make more than her.

01:08:42

Right.

01:08:43

If you don't have a prenup, that means-The money does not matter. 50, 50. Right. And what's mine is yours. Right. What's yours is mine.

01:08:50

We built this together.

01:08:51

That's true.

01:08:52

Beautiful thing.

01:08:53

Okay, so where do you stand on prenup? I'm against. You're against prenup.

01:08:56

Because if you're getting married, you're getting married to be together forever. Right.

01:09:01

And you don't think women or men would get married for nefarious reasons to try to steal money? Right.

01:09:09

Well, no. I'm saying for me personally. Other people It's a case-by-case basis. Yeah.

01:09:18

So judge not, let's see be judge. Just let people do what they want is what you're saying. Yeah. Okay. All right.

01:09:24

So it wasn't about the prenup? It was a fight on the Bachelor or Bachelor. T. M. Z.

01:09:29

Says, break It was not due to a prenup.

01:09:30

Yeah, it was about the Bachelor or Bachelor party.

01:09:33

Can't do it. I don't think anyone knows what the fight was about, but it was apparently not due to a prenup.

01:09:38

All right, my cool throw on his podcasters because the Ohio State President has had to step down because he got in an inappropriate relationship with a Columbus-based podcaster, so watch out. It's just still your boys.

01:09:50

He's a podcaster.

01:09:51

Columbus-based podcaster? Columbus-based podcaster, yeah.

01:09:55

What does that mean?

01:09:57

It's a podcaster based in Columbus.

01:10:00

Of which there are many.

01:10:02

Of which there are many.

01:10:04

I feel like you got to be able to narrow that down pretty easily.

01:10:08

Oh, no, they named her. That's her on the right, I think. That's the podcaster right there.

01:10:14

Oh, it's that. Yeah, it's that.

01:10:16

Yeah, Wife Podcaster. That's a hilarious graphic. It's a great graphic. Yeah. So don't mix it up with podcaster. Again- I think he went on her podcast, and then the flames were just too hot. I mean, everyone says that a podcast interview is the greatest aphrodisia.

01:10:34

It happens to a lot of guys that sit on that couch. A lot of them don't want to ever leave.

01:10:38

Just such a funny like an old man. This guy is in his 60s. He's the Ohio State President. To have to come out and be like, I'm stepping down because I may have fucked a podcaster. Come on. Yeah. I mean, again, this is why we're the cool thrown podcaster. It's great for our community.

01:10:55

When she says, Come on my podcast, she means it in a great way. Correct.

01:11:00

Okay, Zack, finish this off.

01:11:01

My Hot Seed this week- Back, by the way, PFT.

01:11:04

Oh, yeah.

01:11:04

There we go.

01:11:05

Certified by Ax. Certified. Certified Philly Maze. Banger.

01:11:12

My Hot Seed this week is going to be Guys who try to tell other grown men how to dress. You guys are familiar with the DMV rapper Wale? Yeah. Wale posts a photo online. He's feeling good, feeling good about himself, trying to go about his day. And this guy sparks controversy, sparks a little a debate online goes. His quote is, I know I'm being judgmental, but the fact that this look is acceptable at 40 years old, man, still shocks me. And it's just like, you got to let people express themselves how you want to express them. There was a lot of guys replying to this photo in particular, just come in full suits, three pieces, pinstripes. I didn't think that was cool. I wanted to put all those guys in the hot seat. You should think before you reply to things.

01:11:57

Yeah, what are we trying to do here? We're trying to just on Wale. Be like, Hey, Wale, I know you're probably richer and more successful than me, but here's a picture of me wearing a suit. So who's to say who the bigger man is?

01:12:10

I agree.

01:12:10

That's what they're trying to do to this guy?

01:12:11

A lot of these photos are bad suits.

01:12:12

I don't like it. That's a perfectly normal outfit that Wale is wearing, for the record. I love that outfit. I could see myself wearing that outfit. I actually think I might own most parts of that outfit, if not all. Absolutely.

01:12:26

Might put it on for the one time.

01:12:28

Yeah, let people live.

01:12:30

Yeah, that's more or less where I let people live. I love that. They weren't letting Wale live a little bit online the other day.

01:12:35

I don't like that.

01:12:37

Then my cool thrown, quick one. We've talked Love on this show. We've also talked Chilli's triple dippers on this show. Have you guys seen the couple who got in gage of Chilli's?

01:12:47

Yeah. There's an update. That's your Chilli's, Zack.

01:12:51

That's all of our Chilli's. And yes, they got update, though. Chilli's covered the-Must of yours. They'll cover the honeymoon. So we got Chili stepping in. Young They love love. They met each other at Chili's. Now, they get engaged at Chili's, only to be sent off on a Chilli's-themed honeymoon.

01:13:05

Oh, I love these people.

01:13:07

You could even say they got triple-dip there.

01:13:09

I love these people. That's incredible. This is a relationship that's going to make it.

01:13:14

I think so as well.

01:13:15

If the foundation of your relationship is the Chili's triple dipper or Bottomless Chips & Salsa, you're going to make it.

01:13:27

They're not thinking prenups or joint bachelor-bachelier parties. Hell no. Not even a little bit.

01:13:31

Hell no.

01:13:32

That's not even- You keep your hot steaks away from my boneless nuggets.

01:13:35

Yeah. Okay, good job. Good hot seat, cool thrown, everyone. Let's get to some more free agent talk with Nate Tice.

01:15:24

Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very special guest. It is our friend Nate Tice, who's now going to be a recurring guest. Nate and I have known each other for many years now. He's a badger. But we also... Nate joined us for dinner in Indianapolis for the Combine, so everyone got to meet Nate, and we figured what better guy to have on to talk free agency than the guy that knows a ton about football. He talks about it all the time on his podcast, Football 301. He works for Yahoo Sports. So Nate, thank you for joining us, and I'm excited to dive in. Let's just dive in. Let's do it. Give us the winner, the number one winner.

01:16:04

The number one winner is Guards and Edges getting paid. Okay. I think to maybe Tyler Linderbaum's bank account, I think those are the biggest winners of the day. But yeah, You're always going to overspend in free agency. But I think some of these teams that had to spend money, they spent their money. Titans, Raiders. I actually really like the Linderbaum and Raider signing, even if it is a pretty penny because it makes sense for what they are and what they're trying to do with Mendoza and Clint Kubiak and all that good stuff. So that's one that was my first winner, apparently, because just off his bank accounts, too. There's some more sneakier signings as well. They're quasi-winners, I would say, but that's the one that really grabbed my attention more than anything else.

01:16:44

A really good center like Linderbaum going to Vegas where they're going to have a rookie quarterback, what does that mean for Mendoza, for his progression? I know they're saying right now they don't plan on him starting at the beginning of the year. They want to have him learn the in the NFL and take his time before he actually gets a starting job. I don't necessarily believe that that's going to happen because sometimes they see a guy and they're like, Well, you should just be starting. Let's get you out there. But signing a center like this, what does that do for a rookie quarterback and their transition to the NFL?

01:17:18

It does a lot. It's one of my favorite things is to get a vet center with a young quarterback because that's the biggest transition, I think. Not only we talk about quarterbacks, but offensive line and runningbacks is pass protection, getting into the next level. And NFL defenses are super complicated right now, more than ever. What we saw Mike McDonald do, that is the epitome of what the Seahawks and what they were doing in the Super Bowl, but that's what a lot of defenses are doing right now. They're very smart. The Blitz packages are very expansive. So that puts the onus on the center to sort things out. The quarterbacks get the Trump card, they get the leeway, they earn that right to then do what we always think of the Sheriff, the Tom braided, the Peyton Manning pointing, the Drew Brees, all that. That takes time. And there's quarterbacks in the league that do do it. Like Josh Allen is one of those guys now that does that. But he took time to earn that right. And so when you have a center that's seeing those looks that knows how to go into a game plan, knows how to communicate, not only just calms the quarterback down, it calms the entire offensive line and offense down, but it takes so much off the quarterback's plate because now he...

01:18:25

I mean, these are... Mendoza is a very smart guy, it seems like, obviously, with his LinkedIn page, all that stuff. But those are long play calls. That's a lot on third down that's changing week to week. That now it's like, okay, now I don't have to worry about who the mic is. Are we sliding this way? Are we sliding that way? Now I can just execute the pass. And then I'll earn the more the pre-snap operation as time goes on. So it just takes a load off. And I love that. I mean, Bear's fans have gone through it for years. And last year was the first time we felt calm because they had a vet center in there. And even Dolman, I would say, is more above average than anything. So I think Linderbaum can really just bring that calm presence to a young quarterback.

01:19:01

Okay. Outside of Linderbaum, and I think that there's definitely certain teams that the Raiders are one of them, the Titans, the Jets, where it feels like they all did a good job of... They just need to get competent football players on the ros Who? Is there a specific signing of those three teams that you're like, Oh, that was actually a really good signing. This is getting them to a place where, Hey, they're going to actually play some football this year?

01:19:27

Yeah. John Franklin Myers going to the Titans. That Him and Jeffrey Simmons, that's some bash brothers potential right there. I tweeted this, but there's eight defensive tackles last year that a certain amount of pressure rate, the league average pressure rate is about 10 % for edges. I think it's like nine % for defensive tackles. There's only two defensive tackles that are above 10 % there, and then also had a stuff rate, which means tackles for no gain or TFLs of 5 % or more. It's Jeffrey Simmons and John Franklin Myers. So I could see why the Titans They needed so many bodies. They needed guys across their entire defense. Also what it does, it opens up opportunities for their first pick. Now they don't need this position. They also traded for Johnson, Jermaine Johnson from the Jets. So they don't need an edge. It would be nice to have another guy. They don't need another defensive lineman. They don't need a corner like Alante Taylor or something like that, because now they can just go, Okay, we can address receiver. We can address offensive line. We can address other positions. It opens that up. So that That was the one, I would say, of those teams that really splash and really threw a lot of money at that.

01:20:35

I really like that signing where it's like they paid him a pretty penny, but he's going to earn it because he's such a good player and has familiarity with Robert Salah. Having said that, they also signed Wendell Robinson to $17 million a year, and I did not like that deal at all. There's the good and the bad of all this.

01:20:50

I was going to ask you, is there one deal that you thought big-time overpay or reach, maybe a panic move that a team had to do?

01:20:58

Well, Robinson was a little Rich for me because that was just a... They're doing the whole he-knows-Brien-dable system. I just think he has a very replaceable skill set, a slot-only type of... He has to be a target eater, but he's not super dynamic as a Yack guy. I don't think he's a bad player or anything. I just don't think it's the guy that you're like, oh, we have to get this guy because I think it's a very fungible skill set. I'd rather them gone for Romeo Dobbs, who's still out there as we're recording this right now from the packers. But that was one. So the same team just like, oh, that's a little too rich for me for what I think is just because of coach familiarity. And it's also Dable who got fired and won three games. It's not exactly where we're picking the brain of somebody that just came off a Super Bowl a couple of years ago or something of that sort.

01:21:45

It fits his winning system, Brian Dable's elite offensive strategy. Now, what about Rashaun Gary? What happened with that? Because to an outside eye, and maybe I just don't know ball, maybe I'm not in the thick of things like you who speaks to people in league circles know. But it seemed like he was just going to get cut because he said, I'm going to get released. And then the Cowboys were like, not so fast. What if I gave you a fourth-round pick? Would that make things any better? What happened with that?

01:22:15

I think it was just that, oh, I'm getting cut. And then what happens usually... I mean, we saw that, too, with the Raiders, they traded for Taran Johnson, and it was a six, seventh round swap from the Bills. Oh, I'm going to release. And sometimes that's where that public messaging, actually, teams go, Oh, he's getting released. And then they go, rather than him hit the waiver wire, okay, we'll trade for him. Rather than it become an open market, we fudge the market and we just jump the line. So obviously, a fourth to me means somebody offered probably a six or fifth. And they're like, and Jerry sees that first rounder next to his name and just goes, Yeah, fourth rounder, because he's addicted to guys that were formerly drafted in the first round. So I think that's what happened is just that they tried to jump the line. We saw that with the David Montgomery trade last week, where originally was reported as a fifth, and then Actually, he went for a fourth and an offensive lineman and some other, I think, a seventh rounder or something. It's because once it gets announced, it's still not official.

01:23:08

So it's like that's the thing. And I'm not a team that has to deal with the fallback of going like, actually, we're doing this instead. So that's why I think happened is that Jerry said, screw that. I'm giving them a fourth instead. So I think that's just what the trickle down after he announced that whole little thing. So I'm sure he got... Did you say he got hacked? Yeah, he said he got hacked.

01:23:27

I believe him. Yeah, I believe him. He definitely got hacked. That wasn't... Yeah. Definitely. Yeah. Totally. A guy wouldn't put that out there. But I mean, that would make a lot more sense if other teams were offering a fifth and a sixth, and then Jerry was just like, Okay, I'll be the crazy asshole that goes over the top. I'll give you a fourth, and let's get it done. Walk away. We don't have to negotiate that much longer. What about a team that sat on their hands a little bit? Is there a team that you thought would be more active on day one?

01:23:51

I wouldn't say I thought they would be more active, but it's really interesting what's going on with the Eagles because they're cash. They're not broke, but they're cash-strapped because of just their contracts right now. And it's just they're not doing anything. They're really just sitting on their hands. And that's just they're at a huge crossroads as a franchise. Just, I mean, losing offensive line coach, Jeff Stout when he retired. Lane Johnson is coming back, but their whole offensive lines seem like they're contemplating retirement. Now you got the A. J. Brown trade hanging up over their head. They're losing a great safety in Reid Blake and Chipp. I really like him. I actually like that signing by the Texans. Fits their defense perfectly. But they lost Nikovi Dean, who's been He's banged up. That's another Rater signing, but he's been banged up. So I understood that. That's why they drafted Jaha Campbell, et cetera. But I do think that this team is... They're shopping Jalen Carter, and that's very real. There's a lot of smoke there. But also, if I were another team and how he called me and said, Hey, Jalen Carter is on the market, I'd be like, What do you know?

01:24:49

Yeah, right.

01:24:49

That's a big buyer.

01:24:52

That's a fair question to ask.

01:24:53

Yeah, that's a big buyer, beware. But the Eagles are just at a crossroads as a team right now. And this is somewhat by design. This is how he does it. He does how he rose money, he does those pushes, and then they reset. And we're at that reset stage. But they're inactive because they have to be because they're strapped right now. And then they're also just got the AJ Brown thing hanging over their head. Some of them are by choice by them. But I do think that they're interesting to me because it's just that it's a weird... I mean, the Cowboys are pushing this here. How much of a reset is this for the Eagles? They don't have no tight ends on the roster right now. It's a very weird roster at this point in time.

01:25:33

Yeah. Another one that was weird to me was I don't really understand the Stealers strategy where adding Michael Pitman, another bigger guy, possession receiver, back shoulder. Unless the strategy is literally we're going to build every receiver for Aaron Rodgers to be able to throw back shoulder passes along the sidelines and over the middle, and he won't throw any interceptions. What are the Steelers doing?

01:25:58

I wish I could tell you. Trying to sell season tickets. That's been my... Because they were hiring Mike McCarthy and just automatically going like, Yeah, we're the only Aaron Rodgers team, essentially. We love to have him back. And Rodgers last year, the thing that was, I would say, frustrating when watching them is that the offense wasn't awful last year. The run game was pretty good. The young offensive line is decent in Pittsburgh. Like Zack Frazier, the center is very good, and they got some other talent up there, McCormick and Fontey, but they had no receiver, too, which you felt. But that's also why I pay Aaron Rodgers. It's because you're supposed to make this all better. And I thought so many times it was frustrating. He pushed the ball, didn't push the ball at all. He was throwing short of the sticks at one of the highest rates on record. I think it was him in the one year Alex Smith was with the commanders. That's way short of the first down market. He was checking everything down, throwing underneath or throwing goal balls. And that's not going to lead to a lot of sustained success.

01:26:55

So if you're going to have a quarterback do that, you need guys that can break tackles. Pitman, I like, but he's not a tackle breaker. Like you said, he's a back shoulder guy. I understand a trade. They need a receiver, too. I understand why they maybe went for a guy that was on the market, like Pitman, because of the pure stuff with the Colts and everything. But I thought they need a little more juice because they need guys that can take stuff that's a two-yard gain and take it 20. The back shoulder living, it's just a hat on a hat with this team.

01:27:25

Yeah. I saw someone tweet it perfectly. They're like, If Aaron Rodgers comes back, the Steelers have basically built the perfect turkey Thanksgiving Day pickup game, offense. Yeah.

01:27:37

Where it's just like- Just little dings and dungs.

01:27:40

No one gets separation, but that's okay. We'll just throw it back shoulder and just muck it down the field. Yeah, I don't really understand that one, but it is what it is. Do you think Alex pierce? I think he's awesome. People were like, Oh, that's a lot of money. I think you tell me if I'm wrong, but I always saw him as a guy who played a role for the Colts because there was a Michael Pittman there, where now he'll do more for the Colts and just be the go deep and go ball guy.

01:28:12

Yeah, and he's always been the go ball guy. It's now why he had so much success last year is because he added to his game. His routes are getting a little cleaner. He's never going to be a high-end route runner because of just some of his physical limitations. He's a little stiff-hipped. But he's added to his game. He comes He comes down with the ball, and explosive plays are the name of the game. And that's why it's not only just his catches, it's his gravity. That's why you pay a guy like that is because every snap, the defense has to honor him. The defense has to make sure they have somebody over the top. The safeties can't play low because at any time, the safeties have to worry about him running 40 yards down the field. So that's why he is... Speed is always going to be at a premium. But when you see last year, guys like Tutu Atwell getting $7 million. Alex pierce is twice the player of that, so got twice the money. I do think that that's why... It's rich, but that's the free agency market, and he's earned that right, but he's added to his game.

01:29:11

I think, ideally, he's a high-end, too, for you. But what the Colts are trying to do is that we have Warren, we have Downs, who do their best work underneath and in the intermediate areas. If you had another guy, say, pierce wasn't there, it's just Pitman, that's going to make a very tight offense. Everything's just going to be tight. But now you have pierce out there. Defenses will run softer coverages because they have to have a safety over the top. It's the Randy Moss effect. I know I'm not comparing Alec pierce to Randy Moss, but that's what speedsters do. We have to run cover two, otherwise he's going to burn us. Well, what cover two does, then we can run on it, and they have Jonathan Taylor. The trickle down about pierce is worth the money that they paid him because even if he's only a thousand-yard receiver on 50 catches, it doesn't matter because what he does for everybody else is worth the money.

01:29:57

Yeah. What do you think about the quarterback market? About Malik Willis to the Dolphins, Tua to the Falcons, and then the big one that's still out there, Kyler Murray. We don't know where he's going to go, but it's going to be very interesting wherever he ends up. But what do you think about what's happened so far with those two?

01:30:13

Malik made me feel a little bit better that I read the signs, right? The former packers coach and the former packers' GM go there, and they sign the former packer. And I was like, Okay, good. The Cardinals were sniffing around. I was like, Why are you sniffing around? You You guys should be the tank commanders this season. I actually do like some of the sneaky signs for the Cardinals, but they should be watching a lot of Texas film. The Jets in Arizona should be watching a lot of Texas film this year.

01:30:40

I think the Cardinals truly love Jacobi Brissette. I think they're confident in Brissette as their quarterback.

01:30:47

Garner Mitchell, he's going to lead them to success. No, but with Malik Wills, that's exactly what I figured. It's the Darnal contract we got Seattle, maybe a tick lower. It's really a two-year deal. They're guaranteed three through two years. It's a tryout. I would rather if they embrace the tank, maybe trade for Davis Mills or something because Bobby Sloak is the coach there, the OC there from the Texans. But I get this dart throw. Hey, if we get more out of it, he's a very exciting player, and he's got a lot of tools. He's supposed to be a great dude as well. Maybe you get something out of it. But I think it's an expensive experiment where they might just get caught in the middle because he'd be competent enough. But I think that's a fair contract. That's the lower middle class contract, which is was nonexistent a few years ago. It's coming back for quarterbacks because before it was just like, Pay two of 48. Okay, who's next paid? Okay, pay him 49. It's just one more than the last guy. But the rest of the guys, I'm more interested. Well, Kyler going to...

01:31:44

It seems like stars are aligning with him in Minnesota, which I actually think is a better stylistic fit than people think because KOC likes guys that can launch it. That's what Kyler does best, and he can do some creation throwing on the move. Gino Smith is interesting. Now he's out there. Kirk Cousins is interesting. He's out there. Like, those guys, I'm curious where there's spots. If we assume the Rogers to the Steelers, Kyler maybe to the Vikings, I'm curious where those other guys end up, because now two are going to the Falcons. I actually thought Stefansky, Cousins, maybe that they would rekindle that relationship. But obviously it seems like that's done. But two are going there. I think that's more of a, Hey, we don't want to change it from a lefty quarterback to a righty quarterback. But also, if I could blend Penna. Penna. Pennex and Tua together, that's a hell of a quarterback. It's a great quarterback. Yeah, I know, right? But it's funny because their center is lefty. Bajon Robinson is lefty, Drake London is lefty. They have a lot of lefties on that team.

01:32:47

A bunch of freets. A bunch of mutants down there.

01:32:49

A bunch of Ned Flanders. Yeah. Yeah, I know. I know. The left Torium down there.

01:32:53

That, to me, was interesting because I feel like that is, and we said this about, too, in Miami. If you get a good roster around them, he can be a good quarterback. Now they've got a good dynamic offensive roster in Atlanta, and they also have the benefit of playing half their games indoors. It does feel like the perfect... If two is ever going to be good, this is the place to do it.

01:33:14

Yeah. And this offense is going to ask him to throw the route that he's comfortable throwing, maybe not to the extent of what McDaniel is doing the Dolphins, because that was a circus team. They were their own thing. But as far as just some of the play action stuff, he's comfortable doing it, and that's what Stefansky does. I mean, Bajon Robinson is the engine of that team, and Stefansky is the same guy that rode nick Chubb. So that's not going to change. But I do think that some of the play action stuff does fit two of them, maybe better than Penix, but because Penix is just not comfortable turning his back to the defense, which we saw last year. Some of those play action stuff, that's what happens when you're under center in the pistol. Tua is a little bit more comfortable with that. But also, I think this is a quiet tank a little bit for them. I think this is a regroup year, obviously. That's why you go for a Tua. Just like, We don't care about feelings. We just whatever, just as long as we can assess everybody else. I'm more interested, even just quarterback-wise, the backups, the Taylor McKees of the world, Tyson Bajans of the world, if they have a market, because I think McKee would be such an interesting name for teams or a Bayesian even, too.

01:34:23

So that's why I'm still keeping my eye on those guys. I think once the collar thing happens, then we're going to see the trickle down with everybody else signing and whatnot.

01:34:32

I hate to make declarative statements during free agency, but the Rams are the best team in the NFC now, I think. I know that's crazy. They got two guys, but they literally needed... The weakness of their team last year was they had bad cornerbacks, and they had to play zone all the time and got shredded in big moments. And then they go and trade for McDuffy and then sign Jalen Watson. I'm like, Well, that's a wrap. They're the best team in the NFC. Is that crazy?

01:35:06

No. While keeping their top 15 pick. Right. Yeah. No, I'm right there with you. It was a credit to what Chris Schulo was doing, their defense coordinator, that he was getting the most out of Emmanuel Forbes. And I think Kobe Durant is actually a solid player. But I mean, McDuffie and Watson are big upgrades. Mcduffie is excellent. I consider him either low-end tier or high-end tier two corner that can play in the slot. He's super instinctive. He's very smart. He knows he's aggressive. Also, the defense that he ran in Kansas City translates great to what Shula does. So I go with what Spaggs does in KC to what Shula does in LA. As far as they do a lot of what they call palms, but they trap guys, and it really takes advantage of the corner's eyes if they're very aggressive. And the fact that he can play in the slot. They have so many guys that can play in the slot, which is That's why they play so much dime, 6 Dibs, is because they have so many guys that are valid on the inside. So he's another weapon that can throw at offenses.

01:36:09

I love that already. I understood why they paid him, why they trade for him. I thought that was a fair trade, but I just love that signing or trade. But then the Watson signing was one of those because I thought he was a nice upper middle class free agent. He's a really good two. The Chiefs fell off when he wasn't on the field. And he goes, he just falls into the Rams. And so everything I said about McDuffy being a scheme fit, all that stuff. It's perfect for that, too. So I'm right there with you. And now they can do whatever they want with that first pick, and they're really interesting. They go, tight end, receiver, O-line, add another edge. They could do so much with that first pick. So, yeah, they're my favorites in the NFC as well right now.

01:36:48

Hey, real quick, Nate, I wanted to ask you about something because we've never had you on the show before. And I was going back, I was looking at your college stats from your time at Wisconsin. Is Is this the best stat line ever? Your college stat? Is this true? You have one attempt rushing for 17 yards and a countdown?

01:37:08

Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah, celebrated with 17 drinks afterwards. Don't I don't really remember much. No, that was the stat line. I'm the human victory cigar at Wisconsin. I would come in when it was a blowout, and then they ran what they call lonesome, which is a quarterback keeper. And it was a play that isn't supposed to have a lonesome on it because it was designed to get me smoked by an edge rusher or something like coming off the edge. And we're playing Indiana. Not this iteration of Indiana. 2010 Indiana. Scoring 83 points on them, Indiana. So, yeah, that's why I got dropped in there. And then the DM was just lazy, and I just was able to scoop by him for a countdown. But I was supposed to get decleeted or clothes lined or tombstone or whatever wrestling movie you want to say. That was the plan. That's awesome.

01:37:59

Did you have a countdown celebration ready?

01:38:01

I did the JJ Watt shrug. Okay, nice. When we were teammates. But I don't think anyone realized what that was trying to do. I got whiplash, too, because my teammate Ryan Groy headbutton me so hard after a score. So I might have been a little concoct.

01:38:17

That's a great stat line. They're like a perfect college stat line. Good for you.

01:38:21

Yeah.

01:38:21

No passes. Just a run, maybe. No incompletions. Yeah, exactly. You have more touch downs. You make all the shots you don't take.

01:38:29

Yeah, you have More touch downs than incompletions. That's pretty impressive. Yeah.

01:38:32

Thank you. I appreciate it. Yeah, no. Dual threat weapon. That's how everyone associated me with that 5,2,40 I was running.

01:38:38

All right, so the reverse of the Rams. Kenneth Walker going to the Chiefs. Not reverse, but the two Chiefs players go to the Rams. I love this for the Chiefs. Is that crazy? I know you're not supposed to pay runningbacks, especially in free agency, but it's like the Chiefs have been... They have just not had any explosive dudes. Obviously, Rasha Rice's. But it feels like Chiefs have not had pop to their offense for a while now, and now you got a guy who can actually run the ball.

01:39:08

Yeah, and they've needed this for three years now. Pacheco did a fine job, but Pacheco wasn't this. And whether it was Étienne, Travis Etienne or Kenneth Walker, I was like, they were in the market for both of those. I was like, for a lot of teams, I wouldn't maybe like this, but for the Chiefs, it's like, yes, this is exactly what they need. Walker, some of his visions can be iffy, but he's so explosive. We saw him in the playoff run. He can just create something out of nothing. And with the Chiefs I've run into, their offensive line is going to be good next year. And I think it's getting underrated how good the Chiefs' offensive line is going to be. But they've been one of the most efficient run games, meaning so they've been getting four yards, five yards. But Patrick Mahomes had more explosive scrambles last year, which is a gain of 10 or more yards or 12 or more yards, than the runningbacks had gains of 12 or more yards last year. That's nots. Patrick Mahomes last what? Month and a half of the season? Yeah. Yeah. And this is two years running that they've done this, where they've had a top 10 efficient run game.

01:40:09

So it's like they get a lot of singles. It's like an each-year-old run game, and they just get no pop. And now they get a guy that can hit home runs. And so Walker can be limited in protection, some detail stuff, but that's fine with the Chiefs because they don't need that. Other offenses maybe need a guy that has a little bit different play style. So this is awesome. The Chiefs gotten smaller and slower. They're skilled guys over the last five years. And now they needed juice and they need size at tight end, and they need a little bit more at receiver, too. They brought back Taekwan Thornton, which I actually like because I liked his role with Mahomes. But I love this. Screens, big plays. We can find the guy that can get four or five-yard plots. Now that you get a guy that can take one to the house, and I think he's going to earn that contract. He gets banged up, too. He's always going to need a number two with him. That's why Charbonne always got touches before he got hurt. But I love this for the Chiefs. I really did.

01:41:02

Also, they signed a defensive tackle I really like, Kyrus Tonga. I like that signing, too. So, yeah, the Chiefs actually had a solid day as far as not just Walker, but Tonga and Thornton, too, as the middle class signings as well.

01:41:14

They just got Dawson Nox, too. I think that just happened. Just as we're taping. Which is nice because now we don't have to watch. Oh, sorry. No, that's the Bills. Bills agreed to a new contract. That would make sense. I got fooled by an Adam Schefter notification that when I hit show more, showed me the official. Now I'm bummed out because I'm sick of watching Dawson Nox and Dalton Connect. Now I'm confused. Dalton Kincade. Dalton Kincade.

01:41:40

I got you. I got you. And getting confused on which one of the DKs just caught a pass for third and 11.

01:41:47

So now that we get to do another year of that.

01:41:50

It's 88, 86, too. That doesn't help.

01:41:52

No, it's both. This is my Ram's tight-end theory. There was multiple times this year where I just bet all the white tight ends for the Rams to score because I I was so sick of a white tight-end scoring for the Rams, looking up and being like, Oh, I don't have them. So I would just spray the board. Just take all four.

01:42:06

People celebrated that Blake and Chipp is no longer with the Eagles because now we don't have the... Yeah, I have to worry about Cooper Dajine and Blake and Chipp wearing 32 and 33 Who is confused? Even other players confuse them. You see that clip, right? When someone went up to read, he was like, No, I'm not Coup. That's the other guy.

01:42:24

I do have another question that vibes-wise. Mike Evans going to the Niners. I don't think that's like... I love Mike Evans. I think he's an awesome... He's a Hall of Fame receiver. He's an awesome receiver. Incredible career. He'll be good for the Niners. But to me, it was more, damn, does he hate Todd Bulls? Is that fair? Right. That's very bizarre to me. The Mike Evans who's played for the Bucks for that long, one Jersey guy, the money seemed the same, and he's like, No, I don't want to do this anymore.

01:42:56

It was the fact that he was like, Oh, I want to play with, I think, a high-end quarterback or a winning quarterback, and I want to play with the team that wins. If the team that just won all these divisions and everything. Yeah, there was something off there. The fact that he was like, No, I'm not going to take any hometown discount. I'm out. I'm going all the way across. But the fact that he stated reasons as opposed to just like, Hey, I want to find a new spot. And the guy that is now battling... He's been so durable, but he battled injuries last year going to the place that has the electrical substation that everybody's worried about, but we can't blame that, right? Yeah. No. But I do think that the fact that he said it in that way, he tried to be professional, but saying the statements that he did, he could have just said nothing. So the fact that he said that is a message. A guy that's been a warrior for this franchise, good and bad. They went through some bad years in 2010s. So it's indicative of something. And I think the Bucks are an odd team.

01:43:58

Yeah. Is he going to be good for the Niners, you think?

01:44:01

I think when out there, well, he's with Shanehan. That's why I'm like, yeah. But he's not going to be to the extent of what he was. Obviously, in his prime, he's 33 and come off an injury. But in that offense, yeah, Shanehan will find a way to use him great. I think he's just going to be very effective. Maybe that, where he was two years ago where he just broke a thousand, something like that, and then he's got a good amount of touch downs. That's the thing. Kyle Shanehan is really good in the red zone, and Mike Evans is really in the red zone. So that's where you'll feel. Kind of how Devante Adams was this year, almost like a designated hitter. Where it's like certain games he showed up, but also in the red zone, boom, the ball is going his way. So with other teams, I wouldn't like this. But with Kyle Shannon, he's always going to get the most out of his guys. And now he's got just a supremely talented guy, even if the guy is waning. I'm rambling here, but I learned this from a basketball guy. He's with the Nuggets.

01:44:57

But he was saying it's the Vince Carter theory, where a guy that starts as an excellent athlete, they actually age into good role players if they care about the game enough. And Evans, it seems like he does. So same thing where he ages into a good role player as opposed to a star. But I liked it.

01:45:12

Yeah, I thought that was an interesting one, too. I'm looking at your big board that you have here. You've got Ruben Bane still at number four. Is that a common take amongst the DraftKings that are putting together their big boards and their mox? Or are you an outlier that you've kept them up there even though he's got He's got gummy bear arms.

01:45:31

I don't know. And I'm all about length. I am a guy that I like tools and traits, and I usually defer to tools and traits. That's what the NFL is all about. But also I care about a guy that defends the run. And that's why I think I have Bane just stacked up a little bit higher than David Bailey, who David Bailey is going to be a force as a pass rusher. I just have questions about how he defends the run. And if you're taking the guy in the top 10, I think Bane has a cap ceiling, but I do like him. I think he's going to end up just being a good pro. It's weird, almost a safer bet. I've compared him to Brandon Graham, where that's where I think he's very similar stylistically and build-wise. But again, Brandon Graham, I think, was only a one I'm all pro. It wasn't this guy that was going there every single year, but just a good pro. So I think that's why I just deferred to Bane is because he's tenacious. He can be an effective pass rusher. I think he's going to end up being a 6-8 sac guy.

01:46:28

But the fact that he's going to be a good run defender as well that can kick inside, that's just to me, there's a lot of good there, even if there's not a lot of overwhelming or a lot of great with his arms or some of the twitchiness stuff and everything that's associated with that. But this is what this draft class is, though. I think I even said that in my write-up is that he epitomizes this class. A player I really like, but maybe I don't love, and he has a blemish that has you squinting just a little bit. But that's just the entire draft classes like this.

01:46:55

Yeah. Is there another quarterback that you have that could be a first-round guy? Because we I've heard Ty Simpson has been... People have been talking about Ty Simpson a lot. I saw that you had Nussmaier at 38. Is there another guy that you think could slide in that first round?

01:47:08

Those are the two. If there were going to be one is Simpson and Nussmaier. I've been squinting and trying to find others, but I think that they only can get so high. Tailing Green had a great, great, great combine, and I was already interested in him as a day three guy. He reminds me a lot of Randall Cunningham. It's just that he has some accuracy stuff underneath, but he has some games. The Texas A&M game is really positive as far as processing, as far as decision making, on top of all the tools that you can bring as a runner and a thrower. But he's like, but again, that's day three. I can only get so high with a true project like that or a quasi project. But I think it's Nussmaier and Simpson are the only ones that can maybe get to that first round. You never know. But I will say that that's just how I think even guys that we know of, Carson Beck, that's a clear day three guy to me. I'm getting more interested in guys from North Dakota State or or Jack Strand from Minnesota Morehead. I'm like, Jalen Daniels from Kansas.

01:48:06

I'm trying to find more maybe interesting day three guys than maybe over... If I were a team, then overreaching for these other guys that to me are clear, like I say, day three guys, as opposed to round three or round two that can maybe sneak up. And to me, that's only Nussmaier and Simpson at this point in time.

01:48:23

I got a question about the bears. I love the Kobe Bryant signing, Devin Bush as well. Well, is this a lot of Dennis Allen getting the guys that he needs to run his defense? What did you think about their first day? Because they don't have a ton of cash left, so it's probably going to be about this and then trying to fill a lot more holes in the draft.

01:48:46

Yeah, they needed a safety with both of the safities coming free. And Bryant fits their defense perfectly because Mike McDonald and what they did in Seattle, it's hard. Whenever a team wins, everyone's like, Oh, this is the new trend. Everybody's to copy this. It's hard to copy Mike McDonald, who's just an incredible coach and runs everything. I always call it a kaleidoscope scheme. He just runs everything, and he just coaches it really well that week. But why that's a good thing with Bryant is that as a safety, the safeties have to be the smartest guys now. We used to think of Mike Linebacker still have to be it, but a lot of that operation pre-snap has shifted back to safeties. We see more safeties with the Green Dot, like at the play calls now because of that, because they're on the back end. Everything's top down now with all this quarters coverage. So I'm bringing this all up because Dennis Allen is a very creative defensive coordinator. You see it a lot on passing downs, like third down, but also down to down. He can do some funk. He's got some stuff to his defensive calls.

01:49:48

Why you need to operate that, to execute that, you need smart safeties. And that's what Brian is. And a twitchy safety. He's got range as well. So if you're having a guy on the line in scrimage that has to run all the way back, you need a guy with some speed, and he has that as a converted corner. I would say he's a willing tackler as opposed to maybe a very sound one. Some Seahawks fans got really mad that I said he was a sound tackler. It's okay, willing tackler. I'm so sorry. But I do think that I love that signing. I really did. I thought the price was fair. I think he was the best safety on the market once, especially with his Cam Crow was gone. I just love that fit. I'm curious how they address the draft. I really think they need defensive beef up front to help. I No one needs... He likes size, and this type of defense needs guys along the spine. So you need defensive tackles, you need linebackers that can blitz, and then you need safeties that can blitz and do everything. Everything has to come along the spine.

01:50:44

And so now you see where they sign, linebacker and safety, and they buy it to bet. Defense tackle, yeah. They take defensive tackle in the draft or something in defensive tackle. They sign a defensive tackle as well, right?

01:50:53

Yeah. They went literally defense tackle, linebacker safety is their three signings on defense.

01:50:58

That's what they have to address, and that's what this defensive system needs, is guys along the spine.

01:51:03

Okay.

01:51:04

What do you think about Adapheo to the commanders? It seems like a huge contract. Whenever I see $100 million in the commanders in '68, I think about Albert Hainsworth. It's the Pavlov reaction or whatever. I'm like, Okay, it can't be as bad as that, at least. But he seems like a guy that, second half of the season last year, was very productive, had some great years or some solid years on the Ravens as well leading up to that half-season with the Chargers. Is he more of what we've seen before, or is this a red flag almost because it's contract year, and then he just jumped off the page at you?

01:51:43

Well, I wish I could have a straight answer because when I watched him with the Chargers, he was a different player. And even NextGen stats had a great stat on it. He had the sixth highest pressure rate once he joined the Chargers in week 6 in the entire NFL. And that's something guys with Miles Garrett, all I will say, though, that's with Jesse Minter coaching him. And that's what Jesse Minter dialing up plays that led to some unblocked pressures, led to some creative looks for him where he took advantage of them. He did play like a guy in this contract here. And I mean that as a positive, but also mean that as a... So it's what you want to argue for. Again, it's a pretty penny. That's a lot of money to throw at him, but he's got traits. He tries hard, which is also when you want to pay a guy, you want to make sure that you don't want them to be like Hainsworth. You pay them and all of a sudden, he's laying down, literally on a snap. But I do think that it's like you are paying a premium because of just like, he has a market for a reason because he's young.

01:52:39

He has some production to point to. The 10-sack year was a little fake. I think what he did with the chargers is the most real. But is it Jesse Minter in that defense, or is it, hey, now the stocks going up and something clicked? Probably somewhere in between, but they needed to do that. Again, this is now, hopefully with Doran Armstrong coming back, because I did think he was looking really good last week. He's a great player. Yeah. Now, again, in the draft, you open up paths. Now, you can, oh, we don't have to draft an edge because that's what everyone's been mocking, right, to the commanders is like David Bailey or Bane or Keldric Falk or somebody that's there. Now, you can open up the paths for the draft. So I do like that, even if it is a lot of money. I will say, why did they let go of Tyler Biotish? More than anything with the commanders, that is the one thing I'm not understanding, even if he's not an amazing center, is that What's their plan now? I don't know. Now, they just created a new gap for themselves. And then Biotish got a raise.

01:53:35

Yeah, the center market is crazy. Crazy. The commander is everything. The OA one, I'm fine with because if you're going to bet on a guy, at least there's more to tap into here. He's not maxed out. That's how I think of OA. But why they move on from Biotish? That's where it just seems like, yeah, I don't know, one step backwards, one step forward thing for the commanders. They had a weird couple of days.

01:53:58

I also feel better about Oasis because knowing that he was drafted by the Ravens, they're a very good team when it comes to drafting players. I put some stock in that. I'm like, Okay, well, then he's a good guy. He's got a good motor. He cares about the game. He's smart. The Ravens already did that homework for me. But yeah, $68 million. That's a lot of money. I had one more question about the draft for you. I know that you have Love ranked pretty high, right? Did you have him number three overall on the big board? Yes. Okay, so how does he compare to runningbacks that we've seen in the last few years, like Bajon Robinson, Gibbs, and Genti coming out? How does he stack up with those coming out?

01:54:37

I have him over Gibbs. He's bigger than Gibbs. I really like Bajon coming out, so I probably have Bajon slightly higher, but he's up there from guys I've watched. I've been struggling to find a real good comparison for him. I've seen the Reggie Bush one, but Reggie was a little bit more fluid, but I get the skillset. I don't want to be a total hipster and try and think some '80s and '70s guys. If you remember the guy David Johnson for the Cardinals? There's a little running style like that. He's a better version of that, maybe not as big. There's one guy he runs like, but I don't... Obviously, on this show, this is going to be a clip. He runs like O. J. Simpson. Okay. That's fine. So it's like, as far as a running style- We're talking about the football player. The football player.

01:55:22

The football player O. J. Simpson. On the field. Yes.

01:55:24

On the field only. And he can catch the ball better than that. But anyways.

01:55:30

This is the show you can say that. You can just.

01:55:34

My brain just hit a wall about three times before that thought got out. Yeah.

01:55:39

No, he's got a lot of- Can't wait to see that clip.

01:55:42

No, you're good. No, Well, with Jeremiah Love, though, it's... And I think you see that's why runbacks are getting paid and runbacks are getting drafted is because if you're going to give a guy 20, 25 touches, they better be valid. And if defenses are daring us to run the ball, let's have a guy that, like Kenneth Walker just got paid 15 million. Let's have a guy that can take a five-yard gain 50. And Jeremiah Love can do that. And the other thing, this is why maybe I had gives a half-tier below these other guys is he was terrible in pass protection when he entered the NFL. Now he's pretty good at it. Is that love can stay on the field every down. So it's the girly thing. It's the Zeke thing. Is that they don't have to come off the field, touches and everything. But scheme-wise and play call-wise and play design-wise, there's no limitations. So So I think that's where I really... That's why I think I have him so high. Not think, that's why I have him so high is because of that, is because he has that every down skillset and he can take the ball to the house.

01:56:41

And that, to me, is just like that's valuable. I don't know what his draft range is, especially after the Chiefs paid for a guy. I think it's really more interesting what his range will actually end up being. But he's a guy that I'm very comfortable taking the top 10, especially in this draft class that has so many blemishes.

01:56:58

Yeah, it's like his blemish is that he's a running back.

01:57:01

That's it. Yeah. It's weird, though. Yesterday, it didn't really go his way in terms of some of the landing spots. It could be interesting where he falls to now because obviously the Raiders are not going to take him. The Jets are keeping Brees Hall, the Cardinals, Tyler Algier. There's a lot of teams like the Kenneth Walker to the Chiefs, the Etienne to the Saints. It's weird. I don't really know where he's going to end up going now.

01:57:28

Yeah. I see the Titans rumors I was at four, but I'm like, Tennessee, you guys got so much. You need to be addressing, but who knows? That's what I'm seeing. But Cincinnati has got changed to Brown, Devon Achan is with the Dolphins, Javante Williams just got resigned by the Cowboys. You're just going one by one. The Rams, maybe they want girly part two, but they have Kieran Williams. But that's the thing. That could be interesting. The Raiders just went genty. The Bucks, but they just signed Kenneth Gainwell, and who knows what's going on with Bucky Irving. They're a landing spot, potentially. You never know what the Bucks are going to do. Like you said, the Jets, the lions, the Vikings, maybe. But the Vikings have a bunch of holes. So it's like his range is very interesting. It's like, someone going to trade up for him? Like somebody in the 20s gets gitty and moves up for him. I'm very interested where he ends up. But having said that, I like him a little better than Genti because I thought Genti took so much contact that I was a little hesitant about how his career ends up.

01:58:27

But I really liked him. Obviously, I thought he was a guy that was, again, valid to go in the lottery. But I just think Love got just a little bit more to him even than that. So just very curious where his range goes.

01:58:37

After you get away from Mendoza, to me, at least, it feels like the two guys that are slotted in the top 10 that are the most complete players would be Love and then Caleb Downs, two guys that are the big downside to these guys is the position that they play. Should we spend a top 10 pick on a safety, even though he's clearly a top 10 talent?

01:59:00

Yeah, I think so. In this class, yes. In other classes that have more loaded talent, maybe not. But in this class, yes, because I'd much rather have, especially with Downs, and we just, shoot, we're just talking about what Kobe Bryant goes to the bears. If he's in the right In the hands of the right defensive coordinator, he can do what a center does on offense, just calm everyone else down, get everyone lined up. And he's his own thing, but there's more safety's playing like this. He has a lot of Buda Baker to his game in his usage, where they do this rover, where it's hard to describe, but it's in between the linebackers and the safeties, essentially. And then he... It's old school. They used to call it a monsterback, which is a sea ball, get ball. Because why they do that is you're letting him use his football IQ to read the game out and close. And more safeties are getting used this, even Dylan Tieneman from Oregon gets used this way a little bit as well. It's a good safety class. Emmanuel Neil from Toledo is very exciting. He's got some Cam Chancellor to him.

02:00:04

But I do think that with Caleb Downs is that he can, again, provide that boost effect for everybody else. He just has to get in the hands of the right guy. But I do think he has some positional versatility or scheme versatility, like if it's a quarter safety or a quarter's defense or something like that. But again, in this draft class, I would much rather have that what I consider safer. I can envision how this guy is going to play for me as opposed to It depends on what team you are, but as opposed to maybe Keldrick Falk, who I really like, but it's like, hey, that's projection. That's a lot of like, hey, hopefully this works, or I'd probably deferred offensive linemen more, but there's some offensive linmen more projecty type of guy. I think the sure thing of him has some appeal in this type of draft class.

02:00:49

Okay, Nate, I got one last question. It's been awesome. You're a recurring guest now. We love talking football with you, so we're definitely going to do it again. Roback question, rohoback. Com, com, promo code Taked. 20% off your first purchase, Q-zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, roback. Com, promo code, take. Go read Nate on Yahoo. You can listen to his podcast, Football 301, make you smarter, better than idiots like us. My last question, would you sign Trey Hendriksen in for how much?

02:01:21

Yes, but not as much as I think he's asking for.

02:01:25

Yeah, it's interesting. It feels like he's not overplayed his hand because obviously everything last year- A little. A little bit, though. Yeah.

02:01:33

Because, again, age, if you see who's getting paid right now, younger guys. Obviously, you want to get guys before their 30, which every year I get older than 30, I'm like, Oh, man, this hurts. But I do think, too, is he has some limitations. He's an excellent pass rusher. No one ever doubts that, is that he's a weakness against the run. So it's not just like I'm trading for Khalil Mack, or I'm paying that, or freaking Reggie White, guys that are just dominant every snap. Hendriksen is a specific player. He has to be used in certain ways and has to be hidden at some time. So he's more of a luxury signing, I think, for a team. So it has to be a team that already has what I think is a good defensive structure that can maybe hold up against the run as opposed to the cowboys going after them. I laugh. I don't think they will because I don't think they have the money. But I laugh because you said you guys are trying to get better against the run, and then you go with that. I think it's more of a luxury signing for somebody as opposed to, We have to get him break everything.

02:02:36

Oh, my God, we have to get this guy because every single down. So it's like a super, I say, super luxury. It's like having a really good three-point shooter. And it's just like, Yeah, he's really good to have, but I don't know how he plays on defense all the time. There's some limitations to his skill set and everything. I think he's asking for a little too much for what his archetype is, even if he is a very good player.

02:02:56

Where would you like to see him go? Where would his talents be maxed out?

02:03:00

Oh, my goodness. Man, actually, the Rams. Yeah, just as a fan of ball. No, but they can't afford that. The chargers would be interesting, something like that. If they just want to put them over the top with a guy that can win on the pass rush, they need some defensive help. The 49ers would be interesting. Those types of teams that are like upper middle class teams that maybe get over the top for the contendership as opposed to maybe a middle class team. I have to TBD on my answer on this because now I'm actually marinating on it. The Jaguars. The Jaguars put them over the top. Those type of teams, they're trying to make that last move. I'd prefer he goes to an AFC team because I think the AFC is so wide open. It's incredibly wide open. I understand teams that maybe are going to get aggressive this offseason. That would maybe speak to that aggression. Yeah.

02:03:56

All right. Well, Nate, thank you so much. We appreciate it, man. You gave us a lot to think about. We're not the smartest football guys, but we love talking to smart football guys. So everyone go subscribe to Football 301. And thanks so much, Nate.

02:04:11

Thanks for having me. Good to see you guys.

02:05:43

Okay, we finish with Guys on Chicks. Hank, you mad at memes right now?

02:05:50

No, I'm just noticing. #noticing.

02:05:53

What was the noticing?

02:05:55

What he's wearing. What's he wearing? He's asking for it. That's all I'm saying.

02:05:58

What's he wearing? That We can't see it from over here.

02:06:02

When a guy is dressed like that, he's asking for it.

02:06:04

What is he wearing, Max?

02:06:07

He would be wearing a Super Bowl LX champion Seahawks hat.

02:06:13

It was just put on your Desk memes?

02:06:15

Yeah, it was just put on my desk. So shout out to whoever put it on.

02:06:18

That is a cool looking hat. What Super Bowl was that, though? What's LX? 60? 60, yeah. Who played in that one?

02:06:26

Seahawks and the Patriots.

02:06:28

Memes, Did you ask someone to put that on your desk?

02:06:32

No. People just know I'm a hat guy. They're probably just looking out.

02:06:35

Just any hat, any straight hat that's laying around. That's an interesting choice of hats. Memes will take this hat. Okay. Give it a good home.

02:06:41

Are you taking that personal?

02:06:43

I'm just noticing.

02:06:45

You're noticing. You're in the noticing phase.

02:06:47

Filing it into the bank. Okay.

02:06:49

All right, guys on checks.

02:06:51

This weekend, my fiancé and I were at a company party for my work where they had laser tag. During the first 15 seconds of laser tag, my fiancé ran into one of my coworkers and chipped three of her teeth out. After going to the ER that night in a specialty dentist the following day, she needs to get three stitches, a metal bar across both of the top and bottom row of teeth to straighten them, needs three root canals as well as three permanent crowns that she'll have to wear. Do you think She would have avoided this if she would have gotten lower or dropped her shoulder. I know she would love to get your guys' input. She listens to every episode of this podcast, and we'll definitely hear this.

02:07:24

That's tough. That's really tough. It depends on what her job is, but I would guess that it's a pretty big inconvenience for her to have three teeth missing at once.

02:07:32

Is she Irish? She has soft teeth?

02:07:35

Is that a thing? Yeah. The Irish have soft teeth?

02:07:37

Yeah, I think the Irish and English have soft teeth.

02:07:39

It explains what?

02:07:41

It explains my teeth issues.

02:07:43

I think it is. Yeah, it's the Irish blood. Soft teeth. She looks Irish. She looks Irish. Not a lot of calcium?

02:07:50

Soft teeth in the Irish context historically refers to a 19th century stereotype about poor oral health due to diet. Okay, so I'm just rocking stereotypes from hundreds of years.

02:07:59

Some old-school racer. Yeah. Me teeth. No. Listen, I think that it's going to be a tough recovery for her. It's going to be a very tough recovery for your boyfriend.

02:08:11

Oh, no. She got the Jack Hughes going. That's brutal. Let's see here. I feel bad for her.

02:08:20

I mean, yeah, you just got to go to as many hockey games as you can because hockey fans will appreciate that mouth right now. They'll be like, Yeah, you're one of us.

02:08:28

Tough chick. Here's Okay, this isn't going to help, but here's what I'll say is, why were you playing laser tag as an adult? Laser tag sucks.

02:08:37

Wait. No. Yes. No. Laser tag kicks ass. Laser tag sucks. We're going to have to agree to disagree with it. Got you.

02:08:44

That's not laser tag. That's paintball. That paintball rocks. That's the same thing. No, it's not.

02:08:48

Good laser tag. That's my point. Good laser tag.

02:08:51

What's the difference? Rocks. Laser tag, I swear to God, laser tag. I've done this right before, but the laser tag, when it first came out, whatever it was, 25 years ago, it was the sport of the future. It was supposed to be awesome. I have not played laser tag in good... You say good laser tag, PFT? Where is there a good laser tag? I'll find you good laser tag. Every laser tag, the guns don't work, you hit someone, it doesn't register. Sounds like a U-Profit. There's so much bad-Sounds like you might suck at laser tag.

02:09:17

It sounds like one of two things. One, Big Cat goes to some broke-ass laser tag.

02:09:21

When did you guys last play laser tag?

02:09:22

Two, he's not very good at laser tag, and he gets frustrated. Answer the question. He gets shot, and he's like, Oh, it sucks.

02:09:28

Answer the question, because I guarantee you I played more laser tag in the last five years than any of you guys here. When's the last time you played laser tag?

02:09:35

No.

02:09:36

Laser tag is a game for children.

02:09:38

Thank you.

02:09:38

Thank you, Max. It's a children's game, and paintball is a man's game. So as an adult, you should not be playing. Listen, kids playing laser tag, go have fun. You run around, that's great. If you're an adult playing laser tag, I'm not saying you deserve to get injured, but think about what happens when you do get injured, and then you have to tell everyone it happens during laser tag.

02:09:59

Our office is an office of games for children.

02:10:01

Where is the laser tag?

02:10:02

Well, we should get some. We should get some good laser tag, and we should turn all the lights off one night and set up an obstacle course. You know that sounds sick. Good laser tag.

02:10:11

You sound like White Sox Dave right now. You want to be in his camp?

02:10:15

What? White Sox Dave?

02:10:16

Yeah, it sounds like he's a good laser tag player. They did a snake draft of, If you had a dream house, what would you put in it? And his first pick was a laser tag, really. It was like, Dude, how often do you play laser tag? Then I offered, this was a year ago, I offered him free laser tag for life. I will pay for every laser tag game he plays for the rest of his life he has yet to play because it's not a game for adults.

02:10:39

I'm just saying if we set it up right, it would be good. I'm sorry that White Sox Dave said it, but White Sox Dave also eats lunch every day. Do you have a problem with eating lunch every day?

02:10:47

I'm just saying you've played laser tag once or twice as an adult, and you have a nostalgia factor, which I get. Nostalgia is a strong drug. Laser tag as an adult sucks.

02:10:57

In our office, it would be sick.

02:10:59

In our office, it would- I'm on your side.

02:11:00

Sure. In our office, I think it would be cool if we did play.

02:11:03

It would be awesome paintball in our office.

02:11:06

Yeah, but then that gets all messy.

02:11:07

Who cares?

02:11:07

It gets messy. You have people cleaning up, crying. Somebody gets it in the eye. Exactly. A girl gets hit in the mouth. She breaks three teeth. She complains about it.

02:11:14

Or a bunch It's real Search and destroy.

02:11:16

Great.

02:11:17

What's that?

02:11:18

Like Call of Duty, but like real guns.

02:11:20

Real guns.

02:11:20

And bombs.

02:11:22

The most dangerous game. Yeah. Real guns. Yeah. You're talking about war. Yeah. I just think that any adult who says they love laser tag has not laser tag in a long-ass time.

02:11:31

I have not. But there's good laser tag places. There's bad laser tag places.

02:11:36

There's a lot more bad than good.

02:11:38

But the question, the answer is like, they're at a corporate company party.

02:11:42

Yeah, just don't play the laser tag. What is that?

02:11:44

You would play the laser tag.

02:11:47

I've played laser tag. It sucks. I do it with my son because it's like, oh, yeah, when you come in, it's like this fucking sucks. So if you were at a corporate party-I think Big Cat gets shot by a bunch of six-year-olds laser tag, and he's like, this game sucks.

02:11:58

I was going to say, laser tag just hasn't broken containment. I know you might not be in the laser tag when you're playing with your son, but if you get some adult comp and it's like four before- Then you get hurt and you break your teeth.

02:12:08

You got to tell everyone you broke your teeth playing laser tag.

02:12:10

That's any sport, man. You got to put your body on the line.

02:12:12

Technology just never progressed with laser tag. I wanted it to be better.

02:12:16

I have a very clear understanding of what happened. Big Cat goes to play laser tag and there's- You got a target on your back. There's like a dozen six-year-olds that team up like their seal team six, and he's Osama bin Laden, and they plot out ways to get them. Big Cat's like, I'm not having fun.

02:12:30

But I had this take before my kid. He's taking me down. I thought laser tag. Every time I played laser tag, it's like this technology just never got that much better. It didn't.

02:12:40

I don't even know the last time I played laser tag. Thank you.

02:12:43

From what I remember, it was fucking awesome. If we found top-of-the-line laser tag equipment, I'm sure it would be a great time to play here in the office. It doesn't. A hundred %, it would be a blast.

02:12:51

Top-of-the-line laser tag equipment does not exist in laser... Wrong. Dude, it exists, but not in 90% of the laser places you go to.

02:13:00

That's why we're getting it here.

02:13:02

But you're saying like, Hey, if you got- I feel like the seal probably helps.

02:13:06

What you guys are saying is if you got the perfect version of this, it would be awesome. Yeah, no shit. Yeah, I would like to go ahead and sponsor the Barstool Sports Office for a set of top-of-the-line laser tag equipment.

02:13:18

You're going to play one time.

02:13:20

No, I'm talking about the best you can find out there. Go find it. If you are a laser tag, I want the arms dealer.

02:13:27

But you need the obstacles. You need the obstacles, and then people fucking hide, and then they don't get in the game, and then the scoring makes no sense.

02:13:36

Laser tag stinks, dude. We'll get the obstacles. We're going to get a suite set up.

02:13:40

It's also the problem with laser tag is- I need you to not poopoo it until you try it, though, because right now you're poisoning people's minds before we get game one going off top of the line laser tag. No, I'm giving my opinion. I can't give my opinion.

02:13:51

I will say it will be impossible to film.

02:13:53

Correct. Why?

02:13:55

I actually disagree.

02:13:57

You ever seen the movie Cops? Laser tag. Laser It sounds cooler than it is.

02:14:02

Everybody gets body cams.

02:14:06

Laser Tag sucks.

02:14:08

Yeah, we filmed the paintball video. That was a great video.

02:14:11

Painball is awesome. I'm in for paintball. Paintball and laser tag are the same thing. No.

02:14:16

Because paintball, when you hit someone, it hurts and you know you hit them.

02:14:23

Yeah. Laser tag.

02:14:24

You still know you got hit.

02:14:25

Not really. The system's always messed up.

02:14:27

Also, there's There's more discrepancy in paintball.

02:14:33

Well, that's just people cheating, blatantly cheating. Got you.

02:14:38

The biggest fight of all time came from paintball.

02:14:41

No shit. Billy refused to admit when he got hit. Who could have seen that coming?

02:14:46

Jake didn't cheat. He did get Hank. No, Billy.

02:14:50

No, I said surrender.

02:14:52

He said surrender. Okay.

02:14:53

We're going to have to put in some clips.

02:14:55

Yeah, you got to put in that.

02:14:57

Zack, I would like you to maybe take this on as your project Find me top-of-the-line laser tag equipment. I'm talking this shit that the Navy uses to train their boys.

02:15:06

You're trying to run a duo's trio's or quads. How many sets?

02:15:09

Let's get some options. Okay, yes, sir. Let's get some options. Then we're going to also figure out an outfit. We're going to design a course, and I think it could make a good video because laser tag done properly kicks ass.

02:15:24

I agree. It could be all time.

02:15:25

Okay, look at that. Look at this equipment. Probably a bow and arrow. He got bow and arrow.

02:15:30

Probably going to break in two seconds. Probably going to try to shoot someone in the hole.

02:15:34

Look at those dudes. They're having the best time ever.

02:15:36

Worse than the mats.

02:15:38

No, these are kids.

02:15:39

Can I take a glow mat?

02:15:40

This is a kid's laser tag.

02:15:42

Dude, the mats are paying for their bucks.

02:15:45

I got a mask from DraftKings. One of the red masks. Oh, nice.

02:15:50

Laser tag for adults, Zack.

02:15:52

Oh, look at that. It's called paintball. It's awesome. It's a battle right? Paintball or airsoft. Also awesome.

02:16:00

Airsoft could Trump paintball.

02:16:02

Airsoft is sick. Anything that hurts a little bit is awesome.

02:16:05

I think it hurts just enough, but not as much as paintball.

02:16:08

Correct.

02:16:08

I think laser tag is like TGL for paintball. It's like Indoor's offseasonPaintball is awesome. It's a paintball simulator.

02:16:17

Okay, what's the next one? Either way, this woman has to tell everyone that she got hurt playing laser tag.

02:16:22

Also, it's not the end of the world because you got hurt at a work event, so you could probably get time off. Just do that.

02:16:29

Hey, You're big boys minus Hank and memes. Parenthesis, yes, PFT. You're now a big boy.

02:16:34

I don't think I like that.

02:16:37

My boyfriend won't go with me to dance lessons. He says he will only go once he proposes and/or when I buy him a Rolex. I think he's popping the question this summer, but I sign us up for a couple's dance class anyway for next week. Is he just stubborn or mind the wrong for making him go?

02:16:52

To a dance class? Now, is the idea going to a dance class for your first dance as a couple?

02:16:58

Isn't that always the idea?

02:16:59

Yeah, It sounds like you're proposing to him by taking him to this class.

02:17:04

You have a dance class? Yeah.

02:17:06

Don't you have seven?

02:17:07

Why do you have to take a dance class? It's all a slow dance. The first dance is slow dance.

02:17:12

I bought a class of five because you go to the first one, they're like, Oh, one's not going to do anything. You got to get a class of five. The second of my five class bundle that I bought, I remember zero from class one, so we're just going to do the same song I'm going to spend a lot of money to just not know how to dance.

02:17:36

Which you already don't know. Which I don't know.

02:17:38

Why don't you just learn how to dance?

02:17:40

That's why it's a point.

02:17:42

What does it matter? What is it not going to accomplish that?

02:17:44

I I agree.

02:17:45

What does it matter?

02:17:47

You don't want to look like an idiot.

02:17:49

That's what I've been. No one's going to say you look like an idiot. It's your wedding.

02:17:56

Hank might. Hank might.

02:17:59

Have you thought about doing a dance dance, not a slow dance? Like a choreograph dance between the two of you?

02:18:06

I'm not choosing anything.

02:18:08

Yeah. But the first dance is no one even... Everyone's like, Oh, shit. Nice. The open bar is back open. You know what I mean? Like dinner's done.

02:18:18

Cool. If you get off speed, off tempo, just lean in and kiss each other, and then everyone's going to be like, you're good.

02:18:24

Or just say, Everyone, come to the dance floor. Dance for 15 seconds. Be like, Everyone, come to the dance floor. It's fucking stupid.

02:18:34

I don't know what to tell you.

02:18:35

We side with the guy here.

02:18:37

This lady sounds like she's doing a dance class. That's her-Get him a Rolex. That's her way of.

02:18:41

Get him a Rolex. Get him a fake Rolex. He won't know. Easy.

02:18:48

All right, last one. Why do you guys not ask each other personal/intimate questions when you hang out? You only ask about surface level and stuff and sports. You don't talk about each other's lives and lives or how you've been feeling. You're missing out on a whole part of life. Why do you always feel like you have to go it alone?

02:19:06

Damn, that's deep.

02:19:07

Very deep. Because it's easier?

02:19:11

I've said this before. I went dinner with four of my closest friends on Friday night, and I do this trick now. At the end of dinner, I'm just like, Hey, give me a fact. Give me something about your wife, kids, work that I can bring back and report so it seems like we had a deep conversation. When The majority of the conversation was like, Max Crosby to the Ravens. I think that was about it.

02:19:38

The thing is, guys, it's like when we hang out with our friends, that's what we have to get away from all the other stuff. When you hang out with the boys, then you don't want to bring all the other stuff to the boys' conversation.

02:19:50

It's also just not that deep, I feel like. You just want to hang out with the boys and not get serious. I have friends that golf with that. I don't even know what they It's better to not know what your friends do. We don't hang out outside, but it's like, We're boys. That's my boy.

02:20:05

Also, let's just be totally honest here. A lot of the conversation with the boys is wildly inappropriate. They take it out of context with the boys. There's shit that said that I wouldn't say around other people. So you can't just be bringing that outside the locker room. That's the real truth is if you're golfing with your boys, 90% of that is not for air.

02:20:26

What did you guys talk about? Tits?

02:20:28

Yeah. A lot of tits. It's not for air.

02:20:31

Tits back in the day? Yeah.

02:20:34

Dude, I love- First boom. Some of my best friends in the whole world, I could just sit and we just don't talk.

02:20:40

It's awesome. Unless you're like that. I feel like the deep conversations only come when someone's really drunk and it's the end of the night. And then that even gets uncomfortable.

02:20:48

And then you're like, All right. Yeah, that's too much.

02:20:51

I think I got to go to bed.

02:20:52

Yeah, you're like, I can't solve these problems.

02:20:54

It's either super late at night inside a bathroom stall.

02:20:57

Yeah. I'm happy. I'm sorry you're having these problems, but I got to go to bed. Yeah. Guys don't need to talk like that. It's actually the reverse is true, too. Girls, you don't need to know everyone's business all the time. It gets a little much. How do you hold all the facts together?

02:21:15

Why do you care?

02:21:17

Why do you care? Worry about yourself. I think it's just something that will never make sense to the opposite gender of I can have friends that we just never get on a deep level, and they're my best friends, and I die for them. Then women can have friends that they get on a deep level and they hate.

02:21:38

Then sometimes they'll be like... I think they get jealous because they want to know. They get upset that We don't know all the details about all the drama with our friends. That's where- Because they want to get involved and just know about the drama. It's like a new channel that they can watch. It's like, Oh, I haven't seen this show with the boys drama.

02:21:55

That's where my fact gathering comes into play. I just get a little one sheet facts, and I come back, and I'll tell you what, the hardest part about going out to dinner with my friends is the drive home, trying to hold all the facts in my head until I get home and I can spit them all out. Because I forget them almost instantly after that.

02:22:14

They want to know about the boys drama, so they can talk about the boys drama.

02:22:18

I'm sitting there repeating it, making mnemonic devices for where my friend works and what age his kid is. I come home, I just blurt it all out. Like, Oh, all right, we're done. Good. No follow-ups. No follow-up questions, please. Okay.

02:22:35

Good show, boys. Anything else, Hank?

02:22:37

Anything else? Nothing else?

02:22:41

How about that hat Memes is wearing?

02:22:45

He also just put on some more clothes.

02:22:48

What clothes? Oh, you put on more clothes, Memes? What clothes? Fashion show. Just a sweatshirt. Can you give us a fashion show? Stand up. What's the sweatshirt?

02:22:54

It's a Seattle.

02:22:56

Oh, wow. That's a cool... Yeah, very cool shirt.

02:22:59

We're Oh, yes. Where are you getting this stuff?

02:23:03

Oh, we sell them in the Barstool store.

02:23:05

Oh. Memes love sweatshirts.

02:23:07

Memes is basically Africa because no one buys that shit, so they just ship them to him.

02:23:11

Memes is Africa.

02:23:12

Not racist.

02:23:13

Memes is Africa.

02:23:14

That would No, you're wrong. That'd be New England Patriets.

02:23:18

That would be New England Patriets Super Bowl.

02:23:19

No, but no one buys Seattle stuff.

02:23:21

No, but Max is right.

02:23:22

Because Seattle is a bad sports town with shitty fans. Oh.

02:23:27

They didn't sell them. You're talking about the 12s?

02:23:29

Yeah.

02:23:30

The Whos?

02:23:30

The Twelves. You know the 12s?

02:23:33

It's how many of those shirts we sold.

02:23:38

That's good, Hank.

02:23:39

You're a funny guy, Hank. You're a funny guy.

02:23:42

Memes didn't buy it. Mims got donated. Exactly. I feel like today's name is like winning Africa.

02:23:47

Someone's going to get it today. Championship of Africa. 23. I'm going to go with 50. 12. 56.

02:23:54

Eighty-eight.

02:23:55

Eighty-six.

02:23:58

Puna. Puna.

02:24:01

Shout out, Puna.

02:24:03

We got Cole Strange.

02:24:06

Great player.

02:24:16

Seventy-two. One more? 72.

02:24:27

Yeah, see, one more. 72. Stranger.

02:24:31

23. We got to get someone to break the seal. As long as it's not memes. Memes breaking the seal would be a nightmare for everybody. Seven. Seven.

02:24:50

Anyone?

02:24:52

Someone had eight. You had eight, Zack?

02:24:55

I did, but maybe another day.

02:24:56

So close. Damn. I didn't see it.

02:24:59

Love you guys. Happy birthday to Greg Olson. Happy birthday, Greg. Friend of the program. Happy birthday, Greg. I hope it's actually your birthday on March 11th, and I didn't just get fooled by something, but I think it is your birthday. Happy birthday.
