Yeah, part of my take.

00:03:52

Welcome to Part of my take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, November 12th and PFT. Are we ready to get mad at the college football selection committee about what they're doing to your James Madison Dukes?

00:04:08

Oh, I mean, no. I'm. I'm going to be like perfectly unbiased in this situation.

00:04:13

I'll be mad for you. You be unbiased.

00:04:15

I'm going to be unbiased because here's, here's the reality of it. I think it's a anti president thing. I think maybe the College Football Playoff committee has gone woke and they don't want any presidents.

00:04:25

Yep.

00:04:26

In. In their bracket.

00:04:27

Makes sense.

00:04:27

It's sad. I mean, just fast forward 20 years, Trump University probably will be blacklisted too.

00:04:34

And I get all Trump University and play nobody.

00:04:37

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, they'll make up something about it. No, I actually think the. The committee for the most part got it pretty right now JMU is ranked ahead of South Florida in the AP vote and as we all know, those voters really know their and they're dialed in. I was actually, I was listening to our good friend Tom Fornelli's podcast and there's one voter I'm gonna Get this guy's name. This is my AP Voter of the week.

00:05:00

Well, there was that. Yeah. There was that woman of a month and a half ago who just went off vibes.

00:05:05

Yeah.

00:05:05

She's just like. They asked her about it. She's like, yeah, I just do what I want to do.

00:05:08

No, this guy is a bald knower. I actually, I. I respect this dude because he had an awesome, awesome poll. The guy's name is Alex Taylor. Shout out Alex Taylor.

00:05:19

Okay.

00:05:19

I think he's a football writer. He works for newspaper in Wyoming. And he had Jamie ranked number 15.

00:05:27

Whoa.

00:05:27

In the country. Now, the funny part was he had Louisville unranked.

00:05:33

Okay.

00:05:33

Which is interesting, because Louisville, they beat jmu.

00:05:37

Yeah.

00:05:38

But I. I don't know how that worked out, but I'm very. I want to subscribe to this guy's newsletter because I think he knows what he's talking about.

00:05:43

I like that.

00:05:44

But, yeah, it's. Right now, I think that. That all the group of five schools should be rooting for Duke. That's. That's where the money's at. Because if Duke, if they somehow win the acc, there is a chance that we get two group of five schools.

00:05:59

Well, if we're going off of our friend Duke, Tom Fornelli, who is looking like he will be the college football expert, he did write an article.

00:06:06

I'm aware.

00:06:06

Saying that Duke, with four losses as an ACC champ, will still get in. And then he also ended his article, which everyone should go read on CBS Sports. He ended his article being like, but let's be honest. Duke ain't running the table.

00:06:20

They're probably not.

00:06:21

Probably not. But a boy can dream.

00:06:23

It's a moot conversation. I honestly. You know what? It's Veterans Day as we're recording this. Thank you for your service, everybody. I'm just rooting for Navy this weekend.

00:06:31

Who.

00:06:31

I don't know. Who's Navy playing this weekend?

00:06:33

I think that's what we need to root for. South Florida as American.

00:06:36

South Florida.

00:06:37

South Florida. Who is the highest ranked Group of 5 team in the country at 24 on the College football rankings? Here's so. So let's talk about the rankings, because we'll go backwards. We'll go. Go from the. The bottom or. Sorry, yeah. From 25 down. But the whole deal is the highest group of five champion is going to get a spot. Right. South Florida is now ranked 24. JMU is not ranked. So you would be inclined to think that if South Florida runs the table, they will. Let's just say South Florida wins out. They will be in the playoff, which I think you would agree deserved because they went and they beat Florida, you know, in the swamp. So that, you know, that's a, that's a big, big time win.

00:07:23

But they, they also take into account who the players are.

00:07:26

Right.

00:07:26

Like we saw that with fsu.

00:07:27

Yeah.

00:07:28

A couple seasons ago. And is, is Lagway, is he still the starting quarterback at Florida?

00:07:33

Well, he, but he, when they beat him, he was.

00:07:36

Yeah, no, I know. I'm just saying because he's not as good. Yeah, yeah, that's the guy that they're putting in for. No, you're right. Like beating, beating Florida is, it's a massive win for usf. They should not discount that. I think that it's pretty clear right now when it comes to, comes to how they're going to play this bracket out, I think JMU just has to beat the shit out of everybody that they have on their schedule. And that might still not still be enough, but it'll be enough to get me really angry, which is what I'm kind of hoping for.

00:08:01

And so what I was going to say is if South Florida runs the table, I, I will be disappointed for you. I'll be upset for you. But I also understand that South Florida is deserved to go in. Where I will skullful for you is if South Florida goes to the conference championship game and loses to North Texas and they put North Texas in, then we, then we go crazy and we riot. Then we go crazy, then we burn this down.

00:08:27

I would agree with that. And also I think that most of the metrics they use, I think JMU's got UNT. I think they're, they're above North Texas and just about everything they look at.

00:08:36

But then they might do the whole. Well, South Florida, North Texas only had one loss. It was South Florida. They avenged their loss. They're basically undefeated. It's it. I could just see it happening.

00:08:45

They. The ncaa. I know it's not the College Football Playoff committee. They just, they're, they're ready to. Me, they're all lubed up. My cheeks are spread wide. I don't want to get any more graphic. You want, you can, you can, you.

00:08:58

Can fill in the blanks.

00:09:00

So what happens next?

00:09:01

So, so as for the actual rankings, in terms of how it plays out for the bracket, we had no real change at the top. So Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A and M, Alabama, Georgia, the top five people were like, hey, maybe Indiana will be jumped by Texas A and M, because Indiana Struggled at Penn State, which by the way was unbelievable game. That throw and catch Mendoza to Cooper, I believe insane. Just an all time. This is why we watch college football. This is why we love college football moment.

00:09:32

We did a bad job on Monday show. Yeah, we should have let it off. Rip Gus Johnson.

00:09:36

Yes, he did.

00:09:38

He passed away during that play. His spirit left his body.

00:09:41

Yeah, I mean, I'm so bummed too that we didn't get. Jeremiah loves having an incredible season. That touchdown he had against Navy on Saturday night was Heisman worthy. He doesn't have any big games left. He plays pit. This weekend we'll talk about Pat Narduzzi and Hot Seat, Cool Throne. But he doesn't have a conference championship. So we the the Heisman bet did not work out this year. And I'm a little bummed because watching Mendoza do that and then Gus Johnson say give him the Heisman, that really is all it needs to win the Heisman. You just say it. If you just say it after a play like that, there's the majority of the voters are watching because it's during the day, it's not too late. Their bedtime hasn't come yet. They watch that game and they're like, oh, he said give him the Heisman.

00:10:27

Okay. Yes.

00:10:28

Yeah.

00:10:29

Okay.

00:10:29

Yeah. Gus Johnson told us, I will do that.

00:10:31

I actually listen when Gus like basically nutted himself during that, that touchdown pass, a lot of people were like, that's too much, Gus. Listen, when you get Gus Johnson, that's kind of what you sign up for. My only problem with is when Gus does that at like 11:00am local time. It's, it's too early for that. But yeah, this, that was an awesome game, awesome finish. I don't think that you should ding Indiana too much for that. That's a, you know, it's a tough place to play.

00:10:54

Yeah. So top five is, is the same. Texas Tech jumps up because Texas Tech absolutely demolished byu. One of those games that in the final score looked like the demolished them and it still wasn't indicative of how bad they demolished them. Texas Tech is really good and their defense is legit. Legit. Ole Miss went down because they played the Citadel. Oregon, that was another one where it's like there's something about Kinnick, there's something about Iowa. They just make you play. They basically make you play in like a back alley, you know, brawl where people are just throwing arms and shits flying everywhere and you have a plan. But then you get to Kinnick and the plans out the window. And they dragged him to the depths of Iowa football. And Oregon impressed me. They played big boy football. Dante Moore, with that huge throw at the end of the game that was impressive. Go to Kinnick. Kinnick, you get extra points. In my mind, when you win a Kinnick like that.

00:11:57

That was a great throw that he had. Yeah. That's one where I, I know he's not going to win the Heisman. No. But that was a reminder of like, this guy is legitimately great. Yeah. And let's, let's make sure to keep Oregon in the conversation. And yeah. When you go to Iowa, it's like you. Iowa's offense can be contagious. And I think everybody, they get a little touch of Iowa. Yeah. When they get there. And then I will beat you. With experience.

00:12:20

I did. Did like. I can't remember exactly what point of the game it was, but Iowa had a first and goal and they threw the ball and it. I don't. It was essentially a trick play.

00:12:28

Yeah.

00:12:29

Because everyone expected a run. Everyone. There was a moment, everyone watching. Everyone's on the field. The only people who didn't expect a trick run were the 11 guys on the Iowa's offense. I bet you guys who were on Iowa's defense watching on the sideline expected a run. Yeah. It was a trick play.

00:12:45

There was a moment at the end of the first quarter, they blew the whistle and you looked at the scoreboard and was two nothing. I was like, yeah, all is right with the world. Yeah, this is the good stuff right here.

00:12:54

And it was two nothing. And it was actually. It was a weird two nothing. A really weird two nothing. Because it was two nothing. Oregon, because Iowa screwed up in special teams. Yeah. But he made the puncher, made a great play. Kicking that out without.

00:13:07

It was an awesome play.

00:13:08

Yeah.

00:13:09

Without doing a second of research on it. I would, I would guess that up until last weekend, any game that Kirk Ference has coached in that's been two nothing, he has won.

00:13:20

Yeah.

00:13:21

And it doesn't matter which side it's on. That to me, it's like that, that was in his wheelhouse. But. Yeah. Credit to Oregon. Don't, don't sleep on the Ducks.

00:13:28

Yeah, the, the, the Ducks, I mean, they have actually a tough finish this season because they have to play USC and Washington. I think they have Minnesota this week. But so as we keep going down Notre Dame, they jump up a spot. Notre Dame has a game basically to get in with Pitt because they're going to win their other two games. I think Syracuse, I can't remember who else on their schedule after that. Maybe Stanford, but Oregon or Notre Dame is going to be in. Yeah, Syracuse and Stanford got it. I'm locked in. Texas and Oklahoma both move up. Oklahoma, by the way, watch out. Watch out. Oklahoma against Alabama. I'm just going to say watch out. That's my watch out. Game of the week.

00:14:09

I was going to say watch out, Georgia.

00:14:11

I think Georgia's kind of turned it on. Texas has also figured it out and righted the ship. But Georgia, that offense, they don't have the same defense, but that offense.

00:14:21

That's what I'm saying. Like Georgia, Yes, Georgia's good, but they're, they're not like the uber dominant Georgia teams that we've seen in the past.

00:14:28

I, so I, I would have agreed with you until. What I expected them to have a little bit of a dog fight with Mississippi State. And they killed them. Yeah, killed them. And Mississippi State's one of those teams has been in every game, even though their schedule or their record is not great. And then. So Oklahoma at 11. And then you, because you have right now, they, they have to project the bracket. It would be Miami, who's at 15. They're projecting, obviously. I believe that that would be the ACC champ, which they actually, I think, on the, on the outside looking in right now.

00:15:00

Yeah, I got a major problem with the committee.

00:15:01

Okay.

00:15:01

It has nothing to do with my, my personal biases, whatever they may be. I try to play it pretty close so that nobody really knows who I'm rooting for. But the way that they enter the room. Take off your hats to enter the room. That's, that's what they say. Take your hats off. Leave your hats at the door when you go inside. In theory, they're saying if you are the athletic director at Michigan, you take your Michigan hat off when you enter the room. That way you're only speaking as a committee member, not representing your school. Huge problem with that. The hat. They give you a hat before you go into the room, right? And the hat says college Football Playoff. And so you're going in the room and you're taking off the hat of neutrality and you're hanging up the College Football Playoff. You should have your own team's hat on. If you're going to do a hat thing, wear your hat and then put the hat on the thing. Don't give you an impartial hat and be like, take your hat off.

00:15:53

When I first saw the video, I was like, oh, is the side of the hat have their school no no.

00:15:59

It'S just a neutral. It's so stupid. It's a CFP hat, right?

00:16:01

Yeah. So stupid.

00:16:03

That's.

00:16:04

The committee's just a bunch of losers anyway. Unless they want to put us on the committee. Then we'll definitely be like hey, you guys are awesome. Great job.

00:16:11

I would say. Yeah. This week I agree that they're losers.

00:16:15

Yeah.

00:16:15

We'll see what happens.

00:16:16

So basically what I mean it weren't a lot of surprises. The big question is going to be is the ACC A1 bid league which we assume it will be. There's a world it could, could not be. But it's most likely going to be because Georgia Tech still plays Georgia. So if Georgia Tech.

00:16:33

Yep.

00:16:33

Runs the table is a one loss team losing the ACC championship. You could have a world where that that works out for them.

00:16:41

I think in all likelihood we're going to get a deserving ACC champion.

00:16:44

Yeah. So ACC will get one team, Big 12 could get two. BYU is right. You know that was. They did not look good but they, if they get to the Big 12 championship they have a chance to, to avenge their loss. And if they do that then you put Texas Tech and BYU in the big tens. Most likely going to get three. Four is going to be pretty tough to do with. You're going to need it to come from the Michigan or USC realm because you had Iowa lose and a three loss Big Ten teams not going to get in. And then the sec. The SEC is looking at anywhere from five, pretty much guaranteed to eight. And that's what Greg Sankey is saying. He said on Monday. I think there's a real scenario where the SEC is an eight bid conference. I've had many conversations with individual selection committee members and we've discussed how Missouri, Vanderbilt and even Tennessee simply deserve to be in the playoffs. It's a no brainer that the SEC has carved out at least six to eight spots in the playoffs. Tennessee, well and especially because Tennessee and Vanderbilt have to play each other at the end of the season.

00:17:49

Yeah, I listen five, maybe six. Because you know if you go down the list, Texas A and M is going to be in Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss. So what's that four right there and then a combo of Texas, Oklahoma, Vandy and then I guess Tennessee saying that.

00:18:06

They'Re talking to him. You're pushing a little with Tennessee they might be pushing. You're pushing it a little bit. Although I do understand the premise which is you got to anchor the conversation. You got to ask for nine teams and then you'll get six in. That's kind of how it works.

00:18:17

Yeah, but that's really what we're, we're dealing with now. And I'm. College football's the best. It's been, it's been a joy to watch. I didn't miss ESPN at all on, on Saturday because we had that Indiana Penn State game, which was awesome.

00:18:29

Yeah.

00:18:29

It's just been. Feels like we're in that realm right now. We have a big games this weekend. That Oklahoma Alabama game is going to be great. Some elimination games coming up.

00:18:38

Very excited about that. I got, I got a, A stat here that just came across my desk. Of the two top ranked group of five schools blind resume, one school has in, in their losses has led 100% of the first halves. The other school blind resume yet again has in their, in their losses they have led 25% of total halves. Which is better?

00:19:10

I say 100%.

00:19:11

Okay. I, I would agree. One school has not lost on a single Saturday. Oh, undefeated on Saturdays.

00:19:20

Oh.

00:19:20

The other school has lost twice on Saturdays.

00:19:23

Whoa.

00:19:24

And what day would the College Football Playoff have that group of foot? Would that be the Friday game or the Saturday? I don't know if they could be undermining my point.

00:19:32

Yeah, I think it's, I think it's up for grabs. Yeah, they don't know yet.

00:19:36

You better hope to God that it's. That it's on a Friday if you don't put the undefeated on Saturday team. And these are just facts. These are just facts. Now these schools could be anybody.

00:19:44

Yeah. But it's been, it's been great to watch. I still think Ohio State is, is that much better than everyone else. And we'll find out though. Indiana and Ohio State feel like they're on a collision course. What. Any other big thoughts? Zach, you have any thoughts about college football? Great job on the game time ad read.

00:20:03

I appreciate it, sir. I don't have any, I don't have any big thoughts on the college football players right now.

00:20:07

Okay.

00:20:07

I got, I have one other thing in college football. LSU and Brian Kelly. The divorce. So apparently LSU is claiming that they're firing Brian Kelly for cause. I don't think we know what that cause is yet, but this was on, on three. LSU's representatives had a call with Coach Kelly's representatives where LSU took the position that Coach Kelly had not been formally terminated and informed Coach Kelly's representatives for the very first time that they had grounds for termination for cause. So LSU is maintaining that Brian Kelly as of two days ago on Monday had not been officially fired yet.

00:20:46

So I read into it a little last night, and it seems like they're trying to get away with a little bit of Scott Woodward fired you and Scott Woodward doesn't work here anymore, which is a. I love this.

00:20:58

Yeah.

00:20:59

Because it's kind of like I, I think maybe they're going to go with the we fired. We didn't fire him, but he did stop showing up for work.

00:21:06

Yeah. I, I think they're also going to go with the we fired Scott Woodward for cause. Therefore, anything that he did at the end of his tenure was also not an official act of LSU and their athletic department.

00:21:22

Yeah.

00:21:22

Because he was fraudulently working for the athletic department despite being in breach of his contract.

00:21:27

Yes.

00:21:28

Listen, I think in Louisiana it plays.

00:21:31

I do, too.

00:21:32

I think that's ironclad.

00:21:34

Brian Kelly thought that he was going to go to Louisiana and do a fake Southern accent and get away with it. No way. He wasn't getting out of, out of Louisiana with his full, his full contract. No.

00:21:44

You want to do a fake out, we'll do a fake contract. How about that?

00:21:47

What they're doing, it's, it's just, it's a very funny and very Louisiana story. I hope they, I, they're going to have to pay him something. I hope they don't pay him all of it.

00:21:56

Well, so he originally asked for. Or they, they asked for him to accept 15 million, I think, and then they asked for him to accept like 25 million and he was like, no. And then that's the end of that negotiation.

00:22:09

Yeah. It's like, why would he say yes to any of this?

00:22:12

It's like, all right, then, I'll see you pistols at dawn. Brian. Yeah.

00:22:15

Just give me, give me my, give me my money.

00:22:17

Better be careful in Dubai. Lots of gators. They very hungry out there.

00:22:22

Pay this man his money. Okay, last two things I had. I have one fun fact for you because we were talking about this on Wake Up Barstool and I was on with Eddie and he. We were talking about the Pat Narduzzi, which again, we're talking about hot seat, cool throwing. Pitt has played very well since they've switched quarterbacks. They have a big game against Notre Dame. I'm excited for that game. It's been a fun game. Did you know that Pitt, once. Larry Fitzgerald and Aaron Donald go to the hall of fame, which they 100% will. They will have. They'll be third all time in colleges to send to the NFL hall of Fame. Isn't that pretty crazy.

00:22:58

Yeah. Just off the top of my head. Larry Fitzgerald. Aaron. Donald. Darrell Revis. Dan Marino.

00:23:07

Yep. They had Jim. Jimbo Covert from. From the Bears. Who. Offensive lineman who was. I think Dan Marino's offensive lineman. They. Yeah, they have a. They have an incredible list of college players who've gone on to have. So it would be Notre Dame with 14, USC with 14, Pitt with 12.

00:23:27

Good for them.

00:23:28

And then obviously Michigan, I mean, has Tom Brady coming up. Michigan is at 11 right now, Ohio State 10. It's pretty crazy when you think. When you look at the list and you see the schools, you're like, oh, that's Pitt. They just have some of the best players.

00:23:40

There's one more still playing.

00:23:42

Yeah.

00:23:43

I think you can consider Joe Flacco, D.E. well, he. Didn't he go to Pitt, I think for a year.

00:23:49

Yeah, I guess.

00:23:51

Yeah. You count that in the record books.

00:23:53

All right, let me look it up.

00:23:54

Maybe Shady McCoy too. He should be in the hall of Fame.

00:23:56

Yeah.

00:23:56

Just for the snow games, but it's just.

00:23:58

Okay. Tony Dorset. Let's see. University of Pittsburgh players in the Pro Football hall of Fame. Joe Green, Dan Marino, Tony Dorsett, Russ Grimm. Darrell Revis.

00:24:09

Scrim.

00:24:10

Jimbo Covert, Mike Ditka, Chris Dolman, Ricky Jackson, Curtis Martin. Forgot him. Joe Schmidt. Pretty good. Yeah, pretty good. Pitt's got it going on.

00:24:21

They do.

00:24:22

I also love pick colors. I think they have underrated some of the nicest helmets colors. Except when they go to that the Larry Fitzgerald colors are the worst. The. The gold and dark blue.

00:24:34

Yeah.

00:24:34

When they light blue and yellow are awesome.

00:24:36

I agree. When they look too much like Georgia Tech. Yeah, I don't like that either. Should we just do a quick recap since Max, we got you here. Hank's not here. He's on the couch. He's. Or he's not on the couch. He's playing golf right now for work. You want to do a quick recap of the 6 or Celtics?

00:24:53

Sixers won the. Won the game.

00:24:55

Zach, what do you think as Hank6.

00:25:00

Did win the game. It was close game.

00:25:02

Nick in that game. I like this Hank a lot more. He's so much more agreeable.

00:25:05

Yeah, anything could happen.

00:25:07

Was really good in the second half. But, you know, role players for the Sixers stepped up.

00:25:10

What do you think?

00:25:11

I think that was a good one for the Sixers.

00:25:13

Yeah.

00:25:14

Emotional roller coaster for Max, but good one for the Sixers.

00:25:16

This Hank is really nice.

00:25:17

Hank, what do you think about Don Quixote? Have you started reading it yet?

00:25:21

I Got a. You guys said audiobook didn't count, so I started audiobook. Reconsidered that. We're going to dive into some chapters soon. Maybe.

00:25:28

All right. Okay. I had two last things. Real quick. 1. I have a question for you guys. Well, it's not a quiet.

00:25:34

Yeah.

00:25:35

You could just weigh in. I had the first fun Saturday in a long time with Wisconsin beating Washington. They. They won 13 to 10. What are you laughing about? Memes? Nothing. What? Nothing. What?

00:25:48

I think this is the second time you said too.

00:25:50

All right. Sorry. Sorry. I thought you guys were doing on purpose. No, I had a last stat. That was the last stat is the last thing. Wisconsin won on Saturday was awesome. I was excited. It was. Came on the same week that Luke Fickle got his job secured for another year. There's a. I feel like people just need to fan how they want to fan because I was getting criticized. Not by a lot of people. It's not a big deal, but, like, you jump ship. You were. You were critical of Luke Fickle. Dude. What. What do you mean? We won. We had won two games this year. We didn't go to a bowl game for the first time in 20 years last year. I. Being critical of things not working is what you should do.

00:26:31

Yeah. But this is. This goes back to, like, European football and soccer. It's like, if you're. If you're Fickle out.

00:26:36

Yeah.

00:26:37

Then you don't get to reap any benefits while Fickle's in.

00:26:39

Well, here's the thing. I disagree with the decision. I've said that. I think Macintosh and Fickle, if you asked me last week, I'd like, yeah, I think we should clean house now that they're not. I'm like, I'm going to root my ass off for both guys to succeed. I do not want them to fail. I'm not going to be a salty guy being like, I have to be right. I want Luke fickle to win 10 games next year. I want Chris Macintosh to be the best AD in the. In the world. If they're both kept their job, it's like getting back in the boat. You're like, all right, let's go.

00:27:08

You know what you got to say anytime you do the. The Fickle out, you got to finish it with, I would love to be wrong.

00:27:14

Yeah.

00:27:15

You still get to root for your teeth. You can. You can have opinions on where you want the team going forward.

00:27:21

Correct.

00:27:21

But you don't. That doesn't mean that it's like, okay, I don't get the Root for my. For my alma mater anymore. It's bullshit.

00:27:27

And it's also. I think. I think the correct way is how I'm dealing with it. Where once they're. Once they're said that fickles coming back, I am not going to say we got a fire fickle, like, until the end of next year, if it goes.

00:27:42

Bad again, like, boycott the team.

00:27:43

Yeah. Like, I'm going to root for him. I want him to succeed very badly. I want, like, if I could do anything to help, I will do anything I can to help. That's. That doesn't change. Like, yes, I felt one way once they said that he's keeping his job. Let's go. I want him to be the coach of Wisconsin. If he's a coach of Wisconsin for the next 10 years, that means turned around and I'm happy and everything worked out and it would be great. I want nothing more than that. I'm not rooting for him to get to. To fail next year if he doesn't succeed. He knows that he's out. So I want him to. I want him to succeed. Yeah.

00:28:16

But I. I also understand people just being like, they want to talk shit online.

00:28:20

No, of course. Yeah, I get that. But I'm more like the. I. I don't. I. I hate the people who are always positive and never will see, like, being like, well, it might turn so I can't ever say, yeah, like, this is bad. Yeah, because it was bad. It's been bad. And one win doesn't change it.

00:28:35

I think it's a lot of people that after every game, for the most part this season, they've had plenty of people to dunk on afterwards, plenty of people to get upset with. And then after a win, it's like, wait, I still feel like I got to be pissed off at somebody after a football game.

00:28:47

Yeah.

00:28:47

Yeah. Fuck you, big cat.

00:28:49

Yeah, it was. It wasn't a lot of people. So I'm not. I'm not overly concerned about it, but it's more. This is. This is something all fans go through where it's like you are saying, hey, we need a clean house. The clean house doesn't happen. What do you do? You got to get back in the fucking boat. You got to just be like, let's go. We got a. I'm not going to stop rooting for them. I want them to succeed.

00:29:09

You shouldn't stop rooting.

00:29:10

Yeah. So it was. It was a good win. It was. It was. I felt joy for the first time on a college football Saturday about my own team in a long time because we, you know, the two wins prior to that were two wins against, you know, bad teams that you're supposed to beat. It was just nothing but shitty, shitty feelings for basically this entire season and half of last year. So it feels good.

00:29:34

Good.

00:29:35

And also we won a game with our punter having the most passing yards.

00:29:39

I love that.

00:29:39

Although I like Carter Smith. He's our four star freshman quarterback. It wasn't a lot of throwing in in his game, but he's a dog. He's a dog. He was running the ball.

00:29:48

I like. I, I love the fact that you won a game with your, your punter as your leading passer.

00:29:52

We had two. Our two freshman linebackers had 30. Now 30, 30 tackles.

00:29:57

Was your punter also the, the third string quarterback wearing the same jersey number?

00:30:01

Listen, we've had some quarter. One thing you could say about Luke Fickle is he's had not the easiest run of quarterbacking because every single year the quarterback's gotten hurt. Yeah, but you know, I will admit that.

00:30:11

But you know, I'm talking about like the, the USC thing.

00:30:13

Yeah, yeah, yeah, the USC trick play.

00:30:16

Yeah, yeah, I. Listen, I'm fine. I'm fine with shenanigans.

00:30:20

Yeah, that was big time shenanigans. Also, shout out my quarterback, Caleb Williams for putting me in his Instagram store post. Did you see that?

00:30:29

I did not see that.

00:30:30

He was. It was.

00:30:31

That didn't come across my dad.

00:30:33

It was, it was just like a recap of November and it was just ups and downs of games and I was me just looking stressed in the gambling cave and at first I was like, is this bad? And then I DM'd him. I said, that's my quarterback. I love you. And he harded both of them. So it made me feel good.

00:30:48

Love that.

00:30:49

And then I scrolled up and it. I remembered when I tried to tell him he should come to Wisconsin to. And we could sell a lot of T shirts and he was like 19 years old and it made me feel like a.

00:30:58

Again.

00:30:59

Okay, that's cool though.

00:31:00

Yeah. Zach, any thoughts on that?

00:31:02

I think that's love.

The Philadelphia Eagles have beaten the Green Bay packers to close out week 10. I formally apologize, but I'll do it on this show. I apologize for doubting.

00:32:43

Thank you.

00:32:43

The Philadelphia Eagles. I did bet on the Philadelphia Eagles. I was very happy the Philadelphia Eagles beat the packers because now the Bears are tied for first in the NFC North. But I apologize. I was wrong.

00:32:53

I do not apologize. Thank you.

00:32:56

Thank you, Big Cat.

00:32:56

I.

00:32:57

That was very mature of you.

00:32:59

You got it. You got to say, when you get.

00:33:01

Very mature of you, you'll get no apology.

00:33:03

I believe. I believe the take was that the Eagles would have rather played the packers off of a win than a loss. I still believe that to be true.

00:33:14

That wasn't the take. The take was that are you happy that the packers won or lost this that game, which I was happy that.

00:33:21

They and I thought you should have been sad.

00:33:23

Even though. Yeah, the Eagles.

00:33:26

That's what's great about this take is it can never be proven wrong.

00:33:32

It.

00:33:32

It can because they won.

00:33:34

Yeah, but imagine how much you would have won by if the packers had won the week before.

00:33:38

I didn't think about that.

00:33:40

Yeah, you didn't think about that.

00:33:43

Okay.

00:33:43

In all honesty, Max, I. I was wrong. But I'm not going to apologize. We don't apologize. We don't apologize. For takes on this show.

00:33:49

That's fair. Thank you for being immature, Big cat. Thank you for being mature.

00:33:52

Yeah, well, I was more apologizing because I actually was very happ. Beat the packers and also won the money. So. Yeah, the alliance. So there's an alliance going around the Internet right now. The. The Bears Eagles alliance. The Chilladelphia Beagles. Remember we sold those shirts. They were awesome.

00:34:09

Big Cats always had an alliance with the Eagles.

00:34:11

I have.

00:34:11

You've had a weird thing with them.

00:34:13

Well, they play good football. And guess what? They. We have an alliance because the Eagles have beaten both their NFC north foes and the packers and Vikings. They have to play the Lions on Sunday night. And the Bears in kind have beaten the Giants, Cowboys and Commanders. It's an alliance. When we play on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, it's gonna be sad. You gotta. You gotta finish off the alliance. It's high. You. That would be funny. Then it would be the funniest alliance ever.

00:34:39

You would win that tie.

00:34:40

Yes. Big time. Oh, my God. I'd sign up for a tie right now.

00:34:43

I would not sign up for a tie.

00:34:44

So I did walk away from that game thinking that the. The Eagles should have won by a lot more like the Eagles were a much. They were a much better team than the Packers. The Eagles are an awesome team. They should win every game they play with that roster. They should.

00:34:58

I mean, top to bottom, best roster.

00:35:00

Eagles are great.

00:35:01

Yeah.

00:35:01

This is no shade at all to the Eagles, by the way. The fact that they let the packers hang in there was not. It didn't speak well for them, but I still think that they're a great team. The packers, on the other hand, I feel like Tucker Kraft was the most important. He might be. He might get my vote for mvp.

00:35:18

But is it Tucker Kraft? Because they've not looked great in a lot of games and not looked offensively in flow in a lot of games. So, yes, he's very important. Obviously something's wrong. Something's broken. They're in. They're in the Bills category of broken right now.

00:35:35

Yeah. So they have allowed 39 total points and 780 total yards in their three losses this season. That is the first team to average fewer than 40 points and fewer than 800 yards over their first three losses of a season since the Detroit Lions did it in 1940. So, yeah, their defense is great.

00:35:55

Yeah. Very good. I've just. I've seen this song and dance too many times. I'm not going to bury the packers quite yet because I feel like they are going to figure it out. But they looked bad and more. It was, it was partially. They looked bad. There was that one drive they had where they opened it up a little bit and I think that's what a lot of packers fans are saying is like, open it up like, you know, let. Let Jordan Love play with some tempo, start slinging the rock. I think the Eagles defense is nasty.

00:36:23

They are.

00:36:24

That was my big takeaway from this game because I know the game wasn't great. I feel like the first half, especially because you had a nice Eagles drive, anytime you have a 16 play drive or whatever it was that ends in a fumble, you feel a little let down and it wasn't the best game in terms of, you know, you want points. But the Eagles defense is really, really good and Jalen Phillips was a monster and they, they feel like they're rounding into that type of form again. The question is, is Kevin Patula. Is he the guy.

00:36:54

So I, I want to give him some credit because out of halftime the Eagles offense looked a lot better.

00:36:58

Yeah.

00:36:58

So he saw they made an adjustment at halftime and it ended up working out very well for them. But that first half, like, I don't know. Max, do you kind of agree that the Eagles are too good on offense to get shut out for a half?

00:37:12

Yeah, the first drive looks good. I mean they, they started the drive at the 9 and got it down to the 12 before Hertz fumbled. So there was at least something in the, for in the early stages of the first half. But yeah, there were times where, where it went stagnant. The Eagles are very strange on the way that their offense is set up. For some reason they either go three and out or they, or they score a touchdown. Like there's no. It's either looks so bad and you give the ball back so quickly or it's a good drive and a touchdown and there's no really in between. It was a cold night. Jalen Hurts did not look like his best. He missed. He missed the feels like was 19 in the, in the stadium. Definitely, definitely cold night.

00:37:59

Guys were wearing no sleeves.

00:38:00

They.

00:38:01

No, but like football players. No, but even, even non offensive linemen.

00:38:05

Yeah, football players.

00:38:06

Okay.

00:38:07

I mean it was, it was for sure a cold night.

00:38:09

A.J. brown had a kerchief on.

00:38:11

A.J.

00:38:11

Brown was wearing a headband around his neck. Is that what that is?

00:38:14

That is.

00:38:15

I don't know what a kerchief is.

00:38:16

Perhaps an ascot.

00:38:17

Yeah, something like that. Yeah. No. The offense looks sloppy, but the defense is insane. Jalen Phillips is the piece that the defense was missing.

00:38:27

How he did it again, it was.

00:38:28

Very nice to get Nolan Smith back as well. And Brandon Graham, like, the way that defense needs to play is that now we can get rotations in and like the defense can just go 100, like the D line can go 100% on every snap. And we didn't have that the last couple weeks when we didn't have Nolan Smith and obviously didn't have Jalen Phillips. So defense looked awesome.

00:38:48

Yeah.

00:38:49

Very happy about the way the defense looked. Not too worried about the offense.

00:38:52

It was interesting at the end of the game because, yeah, somehow the packers got the ball back with enough time to drive down the field and attempt like the saddest 64 yard field goal that I've ever seen. But when they were, when they were going down the field earlier, they, they had a fourth down, they ran it out of shotgun. LaFleur was like, yeah, I wish I called a play that worked when they asked him, hey, do you regret running out of shotgun? But apparently the Eagles knew it was coming.

00:39:18

Moro Jomo, just an absolute beast.

00:39:21

Yeah. So according to Josh Jacobs, he said, obviously people are smart. I kind of disagree with that.

00:39:27

Some people.

00:39:27

Some people are smart. He said, if we've got code words or whatever, you hear it a few times, you're going to eventually react to it. That's football. It's never a good feeling. They called it out. We called our play. They said, inside zone, it's coming right here. So I didn't want to run it right there, but yeah. So the Eagles knew it was coming.

00:39:44

They knew it was coming.

00:39:45

The Packers.

00:39:45

You can hear it on the broadcast, though.

00:39:47

Yeah, it's inside zone. It's coming right here. That's not great for the packers that they don't change up their calls.

00:39:53

No, their offense feels broken. Yeah, it definitely feels like there's something going on that they gotta like, they gotta figure it out before it's too late. Can we talk about the end of the game? Because it was basically both coaches were like, hey, let's just, let's just be dumb asses and see what happens. Nick Sirianni going with a fourth and how, how long was it? 4th and 8. 5. 4th and 9. 94 to 9 with 27 seconds left. Deep shot to AJ Brown giving the Packers a chance. They had no timeouts, but they only had to get about 30 yards to get in real field goal range. And it was fourth and eight and I mean, max, that's. Why aren't you One kicking a field goal to like. Because if you kick a field goal and you miss it, you're giving him the ball right there. Instead you went for fourth. Fourth down and you missed it. I don't know. It was crazy. Did you not think it was crazy in the moment?

00:40:51

I didn't think it was crazy. I'm always going to be on the side of like, win the game, win the football game and the football game. But the more you look back at it, I think probably the best decision would be to punt it. But you like, that's assuming that you get the ball within the 10. If you get the ball within the 10, pooch punt, the game is over.

00:41:10

Yeah.

00:41:10

Yeah. So it was the automatic recommendation according to the stats was go for it. Oh, so might. But that's what the. The Eagles love to do that on fourth down. They love to take a shot on fourth down.

00:41:22

Yeah. No, I. We. That is a very common play for the Eagles of like, let's. We need a first out. We need a first down to win the game. Let's throw a deep ball. Touchdown.

00:41:30

I guess it is.

00:41:32

Got to. Hurts. Made a bad. It was a bad throw. We got the look that we wanted was AJ Brown one on one, streaking towards the end zone. And Hertz just under. Threw him a little bit.

00:41:41

But. And they did burn six seconds, which that, that was smart to run a play like that where you throw the ball. But it did give the. I left the gambling cave because I was like, the game is over. Went upstairs to do something, came back down. I was like, wait. The packers had the ball again. And then on the other side, I don't for the life of me understand why the packers attempted that field goal. I feel like the chances of getting a Hail Mary were higher than Brandon McManus with a hurt leg in a cold, windy Lambeau Field hitting a career long.

00:42:09

It wasn't that cold.

00:42:10

It wasn't that cold. Yeah, but it was windy.

00:42:11

No, you're right. You're right. That was. That field goal was ambitious at best. I do respect the fact that he took that free shot at it.

00:42:18

Yeah.

00:42:18

Like when.

00:42:19

Which was a decent attempt. The second one was not.

00:42:21

Sirianni called a timeout like five seconds before the ball was snapped. They snapped it anyways. He got a practice shot in there. Landed. Yeah. About a yard short. And then the second time he just. He tried to kick it as hard as he could to get that extra yard. Did not work out.

00:42:35

But yeah.

00:42:35

I walked away from this game thinking that the Eagles are A very, very good team and it would be mildly infuriating to root for them because they don't score as much as they should.

00:42:45

Yeah. Wait, where did you see that? It was a go for it situation.

00:42:48

The fourth down decision bot.

00:42:49

Oh. Because ESPN analytics had a clear punt situation. This is why you can't trust analytics.

00:42:53

That's the first time that ESPN's ever recommended to punt.

00:42:56

Yeah.

00:42:56

During the game it's always like 98.6.

00:42:59

Win probability with a punt. 93.7 win probability going for it. This is why you can't trust it. We need one analytics. Yeah.

00:43:05

The thing is like, if you get it within the 10, then yes. Like if you can guarantee that you get the ball, that you punt the ball within the 10, you obviously take the punt. It's impossible, it's almost impossible to get down into a field goal situation from that spot. But if you kick it into the end zone, it's from. It's from the 20. 15 yards of different like 15 yards difference.

00:43:25

Like so that I don't think that you can fully estimate whether or not it was the right decision unless you know where the punt ended up.

00:43:34

Yeah, exactly. Like it's. Everything is a risk.

00:43:36

Yeah.

00:43:36

No matter. There was no safe, safe call last night for Sirianni and I don't hate him going, going for the win.

00:43:43

We had some back and forth on the tush push to start the game. Oh yeah, we had some with the Packers. It's not touch push. They do like a quarterback sneak. But they jumped off sides. Didn't get called. The Eagles jumped off sides. I thought that the Eagles offside was a little bit worse. Max.

00:43:58

I agree.

00:43:59

Than the packers. But they were both offsides.

00:44:01

Yeah. And then the packers did it again and they did get called for and they got.

00:44:05

They got.

00:44:05

But then the Eagles never did another one.

00:44:06

But if you had done it again, you would have wanted the refs to call you offsides. There.

00:44:10

There was parts of me that I was like, I don't want to do another one because they're just going to call.

00:44:14

Yeah. No matter what.

00:44:15

Like.

00:44:16

Yeah.

00:44:16

So like when we got to the there. There was a couple times where it was like the Eagles could do two tush bushes here and get the first down. I was like, they're just going to call a false start because they just called a false start on the Packers.

00:44:27

Yeah.

00:44:27

So I didn't. It was like one of the only times I wasn't just like automatic. Just. Just do the push.

00:44:32

Push. I do love the salty fan that was holding up the poster that said Boo. The tush push.

00:44:36

It was great.

00:44:37

It was a great poster. The. The O's in boo were zeros, though. Like that guy. He didn't stop by the O stores.

00:44:44

He has font wrong.

00:44:45

The font was wildly incorrect on it. But yeah, respect to that guy for just being kind of a. A bitter bitch about it. And my take is consistent, which is I hope they ban it, but they shouldn't. I hope they ban it because the Eagles are so much better at that play than anybody else. And I would. I would prefer them to not be able to dominate teams with it. But if you're asking me if the play should be banned. No, no, it's. It's not their fault that they're better at it. Yeah, I guess it kind of is, but they're just better at it.

00:45:13

Deal with it.

00:45:13

It's over. Like, I. I saw that. I. I wish I knew who said this. It was a great theory on online this week is that refs are.

00:45:21

It's a good segment.

00:45:22

Are purposely not calling the false starts so that they can use that in the off season to ban it.

00:45:29

They're getting some tape.

00:45:30

Yeah. They thought of how can we get a reason of why this should be banned? Say it's hard to officiate it. Don't officiate it correctly, then it'll be banned.

00:45:41

Yeah. False flag.

00:45:42

Yeah.

00:45:42

Literally.

00:45:42

Like the ref see it and they're not calling it on purpose so that they can ban it in the office.

00:45:46

Yeah, they did that when they. They ran the tush push and then Jalen wasn't down right. And he fumbled the ball.

00:45:52

Is that what happened?

00:45:53

Yeah, that. That had nothing to do with the tush push. But then the reaction to it was this plays impossible to officiate. No, that was.

00:46:00

That was just bad call.

00:46:01

That was just a guy running with a football and fumbling and you blew.

00:46:04

The call on it and the right.

00:46:05

Yeah, the refs just missed that call. That was not even in. That was not in the scrum of anything. You could. No, anyone could see that he fumbled that ball. The ref just didn't call.

00:46:12

And also when they run the tush push and guys jump off sides. Why don't you just call that? Is that that much harder to call a false start on that play than it is any other run?

00:46:21

Their brains just shut off when the tush push happens.

00:46:24

Become fans.

00:46:25

Like, I think they're doing it on purpose. I wish I could give credit to the person that I credit to that guy. Whoever said that Great. I. Great call because I think you're correct. And I think that this is the last year of the tush.

00:46:35

Last two things I had about the game. I have two stats for you, Max. We shared this with you before the game, which was crazy sad. It's a wild stat. Shout out. Jake Marsh. The packers have not lost home games in consecutive weeks in exactly 12 years. The last time it happened was November 10, 2013. And then last night, it happened again November 10, 2025. It's pretty crazy. That's a lot of years that. If you want to put it in perspective, this podcast was dead.

00:47:04

Yep.

00:47:04

In 20 2013, Xbox controllers still had wires. IPhone fives had not been released. Jordan love was only 26 years old.

00:47:14

That's crazy.

00:47:15

It's nuts.

00:47:16

And what GTA were we on?

00:47:17

We were on GTA 6.

00:47:19

Damn. Yeah.

00:47:20

Wait, which one are we getting next?

00:47:22

If we get one GTA 6.

00:47:24

Oh, so we're on GTA 5. We were actually on GTA 5. And then the other stat. Max, you're gonna like this one. Pieta, you'll like it too, as an NFC east guy. The Eagles, in four and a half years with Nick Sirianni, have 55 wins. The entire Giants franchise in the last 10 years has 54 wins. And that segues us to. Brian Dable. You're fired.

00:47:47

Got the ax.

00:47:47

He got fired.

00:47:48

I think we saw it coming after that Denver report where it was like they almost left him in Denver. Yeah. And then felt like another embarrassing fourth quarter implosion. That would be. And this wasn't as bad, clearly.

00:47:58

The field goal. The field goal against the Bears. That field goal on the one yard line.

00:48:03

That was. That was a tough one.

00:48:04

You're a bad team. Just go for it.

00:48:06

And do. Do we think that Brian Dable, like, got fired and then did the. Who's coming with me? And then looked at Jackson Dart.

00:48:14

Yeah. Like, definitely.

00:48:15

You want to come?

00:48:16

Jackson Dart looks like team. I don't know what your name is, because I've been in the blue ten a million times.

00:48:21

Come on. Come on, Jackson. You love me, right?

00:48:23

I also think so. He was probably gonna get fired no matter what. And this is also why the Giants should have fired both guys, Joe Shane and Brian Dable last year when everyone knew they were going to get fired. It was so stupid that they did it this way. But I bet you there was a small part of it, like, Jackson Dart is our franchise quarterback. I think Jackson Dart is really good. He's been in the blue tent a lot. We Got to get a coach in here who does is not fighting for his job. An interim coach, Mike Kafka not fighting for his job and not going to run Jackson Dart on every single play.

00:48:55

But I don't understand why Shine is sticking around Joe Shane. Joe Shane. So Joe Shane is going to get to hire the next coach.

00:49:03

He is apparently very close to Mr. Mara which happens a lot because the GM just has more face time.

00:49:09

So Joe Shane, he, yes, he did draft Jackson Dart but I read that he wasn't like the biggest Jackson Dark guy in the front office. Like there were other people that were pushing for him. So he can't really take credit. I'm sure he'll try to take credit for the Jackson Dark pick.

00:49:26

Yep.

00:49:26

Maybe his son told him to draft him. But then I don't understand why he is going to be around to select the next head coach when he then would have presumably a shorter leash. He's close to Mr. Mara and then he would potentially be fired and then we'd have a new GM with a coach that was hired by the last guy.

00:49:44

I assume every single NFL franchise works basically the same way that if a coach is on the hot seat, the GM is basically sitting in the owner's office watching practice being like can you get a load of this guy?

00:49:55

I told him not to do that.

00:49:56

He sucks.

00:49:57

I told him no field goals inside the two.

00:49:59

He stinks. But yeah, the, the, the, the coaches since Tom Coughlin were coach the Giants, who do you guys have a guess who has the highest winning percentage since Tom Coughlin?

00:50:15

I'm going to guess. Is it McAdoo?

00:50:19

It's McAdoo. McAdoo by a long shot.

00:50:22

Let's go.

00:50:22

Ben McAdoo had a 46 winning percentage. Brian Dabel 33. Joe Judge 30, Pat Shermer 281. And then Steve Spagnola interim 250. So they are all well below under 500. McAdoo was the closest and he got a raw deal.

00:50:42

He did.

00:50:43

I think it was the big suit. When you put on a big suit you look like a fucking child. You're going to get fired.

00:50:47

Earlier then he had the slick back hair.

00:50:48

Yeah.

00:50:49

Looked like he had a sloppy stakes.

00:50:50

And it's not a real piece of Ben McAdoodoo.

00:50:53

Yeah, macad doo doo. I think if you didn't have the easiness of, of the media macadoodoo he probably would have had a longer leash.

00:51:01

Combined with the fact that he just looked like a model train guy, like he had $50,000 worth of model trains in his basement.

00:51:08

But it really is so crazy that the Giants even brought these guys back because everyone saw the writing on the wall and then it happened. And now you've. Yeah, there's going to be new coaches. There's. There's names out there, but you did have a chance at. Mike Vrabel is doing pretty damn. I don't know how much of a chance at Mike Vrabel, but Mike Vrabel was obviously looking for a job. Ben Johnson, Liam Cohen. Three guys who have done decently well so far in 10 games in their new teams. And they just like, yeah, let's just go with Brian Dable. Even though we know we're going to fire him.

00:51:42

Right? That was a weird choice. I still like Brian Dable. I think he could one day be a good head coach somewhere.

00:51:48

So if you're thinking Brian Dable is going to be a coach, I was thinking about this because it's rare that a guy gets a second shot when they really suck at the first shot. The best the. Oh, Brian Dable spotted for first time after Giants firing. It's always sucks in New York when it's when the paparazzi's out there.

00:52:06

What's he doing?

00:52:07

He's wearing a Penn State sweatshirt.

00:52:09

Oh, by the way, you know who the big winner of this is? The Buffalo Bills. Bring them on as a little consultant.

00:52:16

They said that they're not going to do that. I feel like they have, but it does. It would make a lot of sense. That was my first reaction is like, yeah, he. He had that offense helmet.

00:52:24

What I was going to say though is Brian, table. Most coaches don't get a second shot if they were really bad. The first shot. That's just like when we think of second shot guys, they usually had shown something.

00:52:35

Yeah.

00:52:36

The closest one.

00:52:37

Coach of the year.

00:52:38

What?

00:52:39

Brian Dable was coach.

00:52:40

No, I know, I know. But he also was really bad the other four years.

00:52:44

Right.

00:52:44

The closest one is actually very appropriately also New York. Todd Bowles. Todd Bowles, his first year at the jets, went to the playoffs and then the next three years.

00:52:53

Nope.

00:52:54

Or what? What? He won 10 games. Fucking blew it in Buffalo. He won 10 games.

00:52:58

That was close.

00:52:59

Sorry. That was closer.

00:53:01

Sorry.

00:53:01

He won 10 games.

00:53:02

Punch in the face.

00:53:04

He won 10 games. He won 10 games. My bad. You're right. He did not go to the playoffs. He won 10 games his first year. Then he finished fourth. Then he finished fourth. Then he finished fourth. Brian Dable went to the playoffs his first year. Then he finished fourth. Fourth. Fourth. Their records are very eerily similar. Todd Bowles was 24 and 40 with the Jets. Brian Dable was 20 and 40 with the Giants. So that would be. But then again, Todd Bowles also was in a weird, you know, coaching waiting spot with Bruce Arians. It just doesn't happen often that a guy. If you suck really bad, you don't usually get that second shot.

00:53:35

Yeah. Bruce Arians pretty much said, Todd Bowles is going to be your next coach.

00:53:38

Right.

00:53:39

And I'm going to step down and that's how it's going to be.

00:53:41

Because everyone's always like, oh, well, Belichick or Mike Shanahan or like, yeah, but those guys weren't, you know, Belichick had the Browns in the playoffs, did he not?

00:53:49

Belichick. I'm not sure if they got to the playoffs.

00:53:52

They were close.

00:53:53

They were close before they disbanded.

00:53:55

Yeah, before they disbanded.

00:53:56

Team broke up.

00:53:57

But a lot of the guys who get second chances showed at least something in the first chance. I don't know. I. I think he'll get a second chance.

00:54:04

I think he will, too, because I. I think he's. I think he's got it in him.

00:54:08

Mike Shanahan went 7 and 9, so he's actually kind of. He got. That was an Al Davis thing. But he went 7 and 9 his first year with the Raiders and then 1 and 3 and then his second chance with the Broncos.

00:54:18

So if you look back at coaches of the year, 2022 was day ball.

00:54:22

Yep. Matt Nagy's in there.

00:54:23

2021 was variable. He got fired a couple years later. Before that was Stefanski Harbaugh, then Nagy, then McVeigh, then Jason Garrett, who was then fired, then Ron Rivera, who was then fired.

00:54:37

Yeah. Basically your team is supposed to be bad and they're good.

00:54:41

Yeah. Stefans, he's won it twice.

00:54:43

Yeah. So that's Brian Dable. Should we talk about other firings? Nico Harrison. See ya.

00:54:50

Yeah. I was shocked.

00:54:51

I can't believe it. What? Why would they do that?

00:54:53

I don't know. Actually, the funniest part of this report was that it was like 9:30 in the morning Central time.

00:54:58

Yep.

00:54:59

And then Shams tweeted out that Nico Harrison is expected to be fired in a meeting taking place at 10:00am Central Time with the ownership group. So Presumably Nico had 30 minutes where he knew that he was fired before the meeting. You can't do that. You can't do that. Because a guy like Nico. Guy like Nico.

00:55:21

Yeah.

00:55:21

He's liable to trade Anthony Davis back.

00:55:23

To the Lakers right away.

00:55:24

Yeah, you got to lock him out of your email, take away his card. But, yeah, Nico, see you later.

00:55:31

It's. He's the worst. I feel bad for Mavs fans. Still, you do have Cooper flag. Not because of Nico, because of the luck of the lottery. It probably didn't help that Luca has started this season absolutely on fire where he's scoring. I think half of the games, he's scoring over 40, and every single night he's, you know, close to or not having a triple double.

00:55:54

And Anthony Davis is hurt.

00:55:55

Anthony Davis is hurt. The Mavs are not good. Do you think that the Mavs owner maybe, like, tuned into a Lakers game is like, oh, this guy's good?

00:56:04

Yeah. Wait.

00:56:05

Holy.

00:56:05

Lost the weight.

00:56:06

They. I think they played. Did they play? No, I don't know if they played yet. Do you think Rob Polinka texted Nico Harrison and said something like, man, I. I would do it again because I really think we both won?

00:56:17

I think he said, I owe you one.

00:56:18

Yeah, like, thanks. Oh, man, we. You know, that's just how it goes. But I. I really think that was a win. Win.

00:56:26

It was a good trade.

00:56:26

It was a good trade.

00:56:27

In 10 years, they will be singing your praises.

00:56:30

Yeah, they're gonna. It's some point. You're gonna be proven correct about this. Maybe not today.

00:56:34

He had some other hits, didn't he? Some, like, not resigning. Jalen Brunson. I think that was Nico.

00:56:40

I can't remember if that was Nico or not, because I think Nico. I think he also fired a bunch of people. Yeah, he's. Whatever. Rob Plugins just has to give him a job.

00:56:51

Or maybe the NBA gives him a job.

00:56:53

NBA gives him a job.

00:56:54

Thank you for sending Luca to the Lakers.

00:56:56

Nike gives him a job.

00:56:57

Make it right on the back end.

00:56:58

Maybe the. The fake tree business that Kawhi works for gives him a job. A lot of jobs out there.

00:57:05

I think he'd be pretty good at planting fake trees.

00:57:06

Yeah, he would. He'd. Fuck that.

00:57:10

That'd be an awesome job.

00:57:10

He would. He would definitely tell someone that he's doing that.

00:57:13

Yeah.

00:57:14

And then it would. Like, Pablo wouldn't have to find out, Right? Nico would just say it.

00:57:18

00:59:43

Don't feel good? Started snowing.

00:59:45

Is it because you went after the nfc?

00:59:47

No, I don't. NFC can bring it on. We'll see you guys in February.

00:59:52

Pro Bowl.

00:59:53

I just don't. I don't feel. I feel pretty sick. As. As you're blaming the snow, I'm blaming the Cold.

00:59:58

Yeah.

00:59:58

The weather.

00:59:59

Okay.

00:59:59

Isn't feeling pretty sick. Feeling sick?

01:00:02

Are you sick?

01:00:03

It might be sick. I feel pretty sick.

01:00:05

Okay.

01:00:05

Are you sick?

01:00:06

Like so now we're all sick.

01:00:07

Yeah, now we're all sick.

01:00:09

But like maybe not. Maybe you can get away from me.

01:00:12

Did you get a flu shot?

01:00:13

I've been trying to do that every day.

01:00:14

Did I get a flu shot?

01:00:16

That's a no.

01:00:17

Do you know Stephen Che got a vaccine for covet again?

01:00:21

Seven checks out.

01:00:22

Hell yeah.

01:00:22

Seventh, Donnie got one booster every year. I didn't know they had a booster. I didn't know they were still doing it.

01:00:27

President Donnie, I mean. Oh yeah.

01:00:32

And then also we're doing a. A Barcelona dark stream tonight that might not end. And there's, there's. It's a. It's a bad feeling walking to this office in the morning.

01:00:39

Walk.

01:00:40

Knowing that there's a chance, especially when.

01:00:41

You'Re pre sick, you don't leave.

01:00:44

I thought you. I thought you were pre sick because you're sick in the head now. Because Hank, I don't want to tell tales.

01:00:50

No, you can tell.

01:00:51

You can tell it. It's. This is also maybe I'm pretty sick because I've been having. I didn't sleep last night.

01:00:55

I think Hank caught left handedness, which he said it's a pre existing condition.

01:00:59

I might be a lefty golfer.

01:01:00

Oh, you've been trying.

01:01:02

Yeah, this is Max's fault.

01:01:03

And you're good. Yeah, it's natural.

01:01:06

The swing looks way better. Yeah, way better. So much better than. Yeah.

01:01:11

Can you hit it far?

01:01:12

I can hit the same distance. I've had, I've taken like 20 swings and, and some of them are pretty solid.

01:01:18

That's crazy. So you never tried it?

01:01:21

No, I just had like growing up with me and my brother just shared like a. You know, I didn't play that much golf. We had a set of righties in my house.

01:01:29

Wait, so you could do bother?

01:01:32

Yeah, that's right.

01:01:33

Like depending on where the lie is.

01:01:35

Well, you can't have two sets, but.

01:01:36

Well, you could have a couple.

01:01:38

But now it's like it's bothering me. It's keeping me up. I'm gonna have to experiment more.

01:01:42

This is why you're sick, is because you took a couple shots lefty and then you didn't sleep?

01:01:46

Maybe, I don't know.

01:01:47

Yes, he's been thinking about non stop, not Don Quixote.

01:01:53

Okay.

01:01:53

It's because we, Hank and I were talking, you know, snowstorm. Hank was trying to wait it out A little bit. And I was like, I'm so bad at golf. I wish I wasn't so bad. And then Hank was like, I think I could probably beat you left handed. And I was like, there's no. I was like, there's no way that you could just beat me from the opposite side. And then.

01:02:10

Yes.

01:02:10

Took a couple swings left handed, and now he thinks he's left handed. And he's blaming me for ruining his life because if I never said that he could beat me left handed, then this never would have happened.

01:02:22

Yeah.

01:02:22

He's just. He's thinking back over the last, what, six years of his life, thinking, what.

01:02:26

If I haven't think about that? I've wasted four and a half years.

01:02:30

Yeah.

01:02:30

Hey, so you might be just good at golf.

01:02:34

I might be more. I can Maybe My. My ceiling is higher.

01:02:37

Potentially more good at golf.

01:02:38

Yeah, my ceiling is higher. We'll see.

01:02:42

How long until Lefty Hank could beat righty Hank?

01:02:45

I don't know. We're gonna. I think I'm gonna go Lefty December. Like, just only practice lefty and see, it's crazy. See how it goes.

01:02:53

Do you think Lefty Hank could beat Lefty Max right now?

01:02:56

Yes, I think you could.

01:02:59

Wow.

01:02:59

The swing's smooth.

01:03:01

That's crazy you're able to do that.

01:03:03

I don't think.

01:03:04

Oh, no, Max.

01:03:06

I'm telling you, Lefty Hank is.

01:03:07

Max is hoping that we all said, no way.

01:03:09

That's a different guy. Lefty. Lefty Hank might be good on camera.

01:03:14

Yeah, that's still mental, but we'll see.

01:03:17

Okay, so what's your cool throne?

01:03:18

My cool throne is the government travel. Travel ban.

01:03:24

Airports.

01:03:25

Cool throws Airports.

01:03:25

He keeps calling it the travel ban.

01:03:27

I think.

01:03:27

I think he means the government shutdown.

01:03:30

Why do you keep saying the travel ban?

01:03:32

Because it feels like people are banned from traveling because the shutdown is so bad.

01:03:36

Okay.

01:03:37

But I think they're passing. Passing a law to unban, unban traveling.

01:03:41

Unbelievable.

01:03:42

It's pretty good.

01:03:43

So, yeah, I don't know. The. There's the whole. Turn a bill into a law, whatever. But I think it just needs to pass one more vote, and then we're. We're Gucci.

01:03:52

We're back.

01:03:52

Okay.

01:03:53

But, yeah, that people. I mean, it seems like it's been a nightmare, a national nightmare, and it's soon to be over.

01:04:00

Good.

01:04:01

We're back. And you're pre sick. Tsa pre sick.

01:04:05

Yeah, I'm TSA pre sick.

01:04:06

I don't like this pre sick stuff.

01:04:08

I need to take a Nap.

01:04:09

Okay.

01:04:09

Yeah.

01:04:10

Yeah. You got a long night ahead of you. Maybe not.

01:04:13

Are you gonna be chipping lefty already? Did we ever ask that lefty?

01:04:17

So you're just a lefty golfer now.

01:04:18

I'm gonna try. I'm gonna do the first, like, hours it just happened.

01:04:21

You're left.

01:04:21

But the way Hank thinks about it, it's like he can golf as much as you want because it's all new. Like, lefty Hank now gets to practice as much as righty Hank used to practice more. More. Yeah.

01:04:34

Okay. Pft.

01:04:35

My cool. My hot seat is Joe Flacco.

01:04:40

Yeah.

01:04:40

Because there's new Joe in town. Same as the old Joe. Joe Burrow's back. I forgot that Joe Burrow was coming back this year. That's how good Joe Flacco was.

01:04:49

Yeah.

01:04:49

Because he was losing a lot of the same kinds of games that Joe Burrow would lose.

01:04:53

Yeah. So when I saw the news and everyone's like, oh, man, look, Joe, bro. Can I just say it didn't. It didn't. I didn't even think about it for one second because it's not. I love Joe Burrow.

01:05:04

Oh, my God.

01:05:05

Yeah.

01:05:05

That's bad as a dry hacking cough.

01:05:08

I love Joe Burrow. The Bengals season, nothing's going to change. Joe Burrow comes. It's actually probably worse for the Bengals because Joe Burrow, I would assume coming back from injury is going to need a game or two to feel good again. And they don't have a game or two. And they also just give up a million points.

01:05:25

Yeah. And it's not a knock against Joe Burrow to say that.

01:05:28

No.

01:05:28

Joe Flacco was a good replacement. That's just who the Bengals are.

01:05:31

The Bengals defense.

01:05:32

The Bengals defense is a problem.

01:05:34

If the Bengals defense, If the Bengals were.500 in their defense, showed some sign of life, I'd be like, oh, fuck. The Bengals could make the playoffs. They could be dangerous because Joe Burrow is better than Joe Flacco. But it doesn't matter.

01:05:46

All that said, I think maybe watch out for the Bengals.

01:05:50

No, the defense. Let me see their schedule.

01:05:52

Yeah, look, they play the Ravens twice, I think.

01:05:55

By the way, do you want to. This. This actually hurts me because I'm in. Think about. Think about playoff mode. Or they play the Steelers, The Patriots. The Ravens, the Bills, the Ravens, the Dolphins, the Cardinals, Browns. I'm not going to worry about the Bengals. What's their record? 3 and 6.

01:06:11

3 wins.

01:06:11

If they beat the Steelers this week, they're one game back.

01:06:14

Yeah, that's the thing in the division. I'm not saying that they're going to get 12 wins.

01:06:19

Yeah. I think the Ravens.

01:06:20

I don't know if that's possible right now. I'm not a math guy. Okay. Yeah, but.

01:06:23

All right. Watch out for the Bengals.

01:06:24

What I'm saying is the.

01:06:25

No, you're right.

01:06:26

The Bengals basically control their own death.

01:06:29

When does. When does Joe Burrow come back?

01:06:31

After Thanksgiving.

01:06:32

No, he's eyeing Thanksgiving.

01:06:34

Okay.

01:06:34

First comeback.

01:06:35

But the problem is, which would be good for Thanksgiving.

01:06:37

We have to root for him to come back.

01:06:39

Okay.

01:06:39

It's good for things.

01:06:40

All right. All right. You guys have swayed me.

01:06:41

I listen.

01:06:42

I love Joe Burrow. I want him to be back. I want. The Bengals are a fun team when Joe Burrow's playing, they're just. Their defense is so bad.

01:06:50

Yeah, I thought that. I thought Glazer said that it was going to be after Thanksgiving. I thought he clarified it. They make that up.

01:06:56

I don't know. You guys want. You guys want a little stock tip? I don't think they're gonna be a. I don't think they're. They're like a deep run team, but I was just looking because I'm in. I'm in. Let's see the playoff modes. And this actually doesn't help the Bears, but have you taken a little look, see at the Niners schedule the next month, if you were trying to buy stock in something.

01:07:17

Yeah.

01:07:18

There might be a spot where you could buy some stock in the Niners, because they might. There's a chance the Niners could rip off some wins here in the next few games.

01:07:29

Yeah.

01:07:30

You want to pull up the Niner schedule?

01:07:31

Jay Glazer reported Thanksgiving. Ish.

01:07:34

Okay.

01:07:34

All right.

01:07:35

That can mean a lot of stuff.

01:07:35

Do they play Thanksgiving night?

01:07:37

They do. That's. That's when Joe Burrow went out. We all panicked because we're like, we're going to have Jake Browning at Thanksgiving.

01:07:43

But now we have Joe Flacco. Yes. So the Niners play at the Cardinals, Panthers at home at the Browns and Titans. I don't know. That could be. Look up and. Oh, Niners.

01:07:55

Yeah, Niners.

01:07:57

Okay. Your cool throne.

01:07:58

My cool throne is country roads. Because me and Big Cat learned. Oh, yeah, fun fact about country roads. After we talked about it on part of my take on Monday, friend of the program Sam Schwarzstein reached out. He had a tough day today, too.

01:08:11

What happened?

01:08:12

President Donnie got back on the mic and started bashing the kickoff rule again. The new woke kickoff. I like the new kickoff we get more returns.

01:08:19

Yeah.

01:08:19

Which is nice, but the ball moves and the players don't.

01:08:23

Yeah.

01:08:23

Think about it that way.

01:08:24

But, oh, no.

01:08:26

Sam reached out to us.

01:08:28

Oh, we got a big sneeze coming. Nope, he held it back. This guy's sick, man. He's sick. You're sick in the head.

01:08:35

You're sick. Sick.

01:08:36

You're sick stuff.

01:08:39

Old man.

01:08:40

Tough old man. All right.

01:08:43

Yeah. So Sam reached out to us, and he said that the actual origin of why Country Roads is big in Germany actually goes back to Oliver Luck. To Andrew Luck's dad. He's like the Johnny Appleseed for Country Roads. He was working with the NFL, helping them start NFL Europe. And he, I believe, was a coach.

01:09:01

Yeah.

01:09:02

And he brought over Country Roads and would play it pre game and during the games. Because Oliver Luck is from West Virginia.

01:09:08

Yep.

01:09:09

And so he wanted to export their song to Germany, and then the fans all loved it, and now that's why they can't stop singing it in Germany. Because of Oliver Luck.

01:09:18

Pretty cool.

01:09:18

Pretty wild story.

01:09:19

Pretty cool.

01:09:20

Speaking of songs, recaps from Monday, I saw a clip that a Michigan player talked about how Jim Harbaugh said he used to listen to that wreck of them and Fitzgerald on game days on the way into games.

01:09:32

That checks out.

01:09:33

Which is so funny.

01:09:34

That checks out.

01:09:34

Just a hilarious visual.

01:09:36

He's like, I don't. I don't really like music, but I do enjoy history. Yeah.

01:09:40

And, yeah, like, I'm not gonna listen to a pump up song. I'm listening to a song about, like, guys dying on a boat in Lake Superior.

01:09:47

Yeah. Yeah. It's great.

01:09:48

It's gonna fire me up.

01:09:49

Was this not your cool throne, too?

01:09:51

Yeah, I got another cool throne. My cool throne is holiday shopping.

01:09:56

Yep.

01:09:56

And these new sweatshirts. No, no, no, no, no.

01:09:59

I'm talking about when you can get these sweatshirts. I don't actually know.

01:10:04

Hey, you're sick. Eventually, you're get everybody sick. No, it's. It's holiday shopping. Because look what we have here, ladies.

01:10:11

You really try.

01:10:13

We've got the Hank dog toy, the car stick, the new car stick.

01:10:18

It's not the new car stick.

01:10:19

This is incredible.

01:10:22

It squeaks. When I tell you that this is Blake's favorite toy in the world. You have no idea how much he loves this thing. It's his favorite thing. When I. When I get home from work, guess what I'm greeted by. Blake with Hank in his mouth.

01:10:35

Oh, I love it.

01:10:36

Yeah.

01:10:36

Why don't you like this, Hank?

01:10:38

It's. It's flattering. You have your own dog toy.

01:10:41

Yeah.

01:10:42

Look at that itty bitty waist. Hank, you look good and skinny.

01:10:45

What don't you like about this?

01:10:46

They got the ass.

01:10:47

Well, you don't.

01:10:49

You just tried burping over.

01:10:53

My segment.

01:10:54

These are gonna sell like hotcakes. I don't think so.

01:10:57

All right, so Black Friday.

01:10:58

There's no way Awls will not buy the Hank dog toy. The awls are gonna buy the Hank dog.

01:11:06

I'm telling you, it is a hit.

01:11:07

Why would you.

01:11:07

Everyone hates me on this show. All the. All the. All the fans and listening hatred, and no one's buying them.

01:11:14

Now you can have your very own hate to feed to your dog.

01:11:16

Yeah, the dog can rip it up. It's more than a dog toy.

01:11:19

Yeah, yeah. What else is it? Memes, I think the vendor said that.

01:11:23

His daughter wouldn't stop saying. He kept hug. She kept hugging it and calling it my Hanky. Oh, yeah, Children's toy.

01:11:32

Also a children's.

01:11:33

Also for people like Memes. Voodoo doll. I'm sure memes at home has a bunch of pins that he puts into this one. No, I like Hank. Oh.

01:11:41

Oh, okay. Maybe Thursday Hank. So big. No, it's a great toy, Hank. Listen, I know that there's parts of it that maybe you wish you could change. Like the picture that they used.

01:11:52

Don't say they.

01:11:53

Fuck you. What?

01:11:57

Hank, I thought you. You wanted this show to succeed. You want to make money, right? This is. I think that this is going to fly off the shelves. And guess what? It's a guaranteed profit, too. Because Big Cat and I, independently of one another, told our merch people that if they don't sell out, we will personally buy. We told them double the order, and if they don't sell out, we'll pay for them, and then we'll just donate them to dog shelters. And then every new dog that's being adopted is going to go home with a Hank toy. Throwing little Hanky.

01:12:23

It's awesome.

01:12:24

Seems like you aren't pumped about this.

01:12:28

That's awesome.

01:12:29

Okay.

01:12:30

I also can't wait to.

01:12:31

Do you have any new merch?

01:12:32

No.

01:12:33

These sweatshirts?

01:12:34

No, he does.

01:12:35

No, I don't.

01:12:35

What does he have?

01:12:37

Doddington Bones.

01:12:38

Do have Dottington bones.

01:12:39

Okay.

01:12:40

The camo hoodies.

01:12:41

I can't wait to have Hank over at my house again after Blake's become obsessed with this toy. Because Blake is going to be like, oh, my God, my favorite toys here in real life. Oh, yeah, he's gonna love you.

01:12:52

So.

01:12:53

Yeah.

01:12:53

That's coming Black Friday. We got a bunch of stuff. Those sweatshirts are sick too. So get ready. The Hank dog toy. Put it right here. It's good.

01:13:04

It is.

01:13:06

Is something.

01:13:08

You wanna.

01:13:08

You wanna hold it?

01:13:09

Nah. Here.

01:13:13

Right in the face. Oh, don't get that on you. He's sick, sick, sick. All right. My hot seat. Cool throne. My hot seat is the rookies in the NFL because so I believe Trayvon Henderson won Pepsi Sugar. Pepsi Zero sugar Rookie of the Week. But we're having some trouble finding some good rookies every single week because Dylan Gabriel was actually up for rookie of the Week this week.

01:13:40

It's honestly a meaningless award. I don't know why anybody cares about Pepsi Zero sugar, rookie. Yeah.

01:13:45

Dylan Gabriel in a loss to the Jets. So he did have two touchdowns. But yeah, I think Travion Henderson won. But it's very funny to see that. I wish we should stuff the ballot for Dylan Gabriel to win Pepsi Rookie of the Week. Yeah. Yeah.

01:13:59

Tyler Shuck should have won that award.

01:14:01

Although Trayvon Henderson did have 150 yards and two rushing tds. But my cool throne is Notre Dame football. Because Pat Narduzzi, the coach of Pitt who is playing Notre Dame on Saturday, had one of the weirdest answers to a press conference question I think I've ever seen. Someone asked him in the press conference, do you feel like the Notre Dame game is a must win? Pitt is fighting for the playoff because they need to keep winning in the ACC to maybe gets the ACC championship to then get to the playoff. Pat Narguzzi said, absolutely not. It's not. Not an ACC game. I'd gladly get beat 103 or 110 to 10. They could put a hundred up on us as long as we win the next two after that. That. That feels. Is he doing this on purpose to then. Because I want to just bet everything on Notre Dame.

01:14:54

Yeah, that sounds like an. Yes, they. Yeah, they are. They are not going to cover the spread against Notre Dame.

01:15:00

He is. He is technically not incorrect pit. If Pitt beats Notre Dame and then loses one of their next two games, they will not go to the playoff. Right, but you don't say that.

01:15:12

Their next two games after Notre Dame plus the ACC championship, those would be against three pretty good ACC teams.

01:15:19

Yes.

01:15:19

And if they win those. Yes, they.

01:15:20

Yes, they will go to the pot.

01:15:22

Obviously they will. They'll be ranked pretty high, I would think if they beat those three teams.

01:15:26

Yeah, but this is. This makes no sense. How do you say that?

01:15:30

Yeah, I don't know.

01:15:31

I don't.

01:15:32

That's. That's weird.

01:15:33

Very weird. Very, very bizarre to say that.

01:15:35

It sounds to me like maybe. Maybe the NCAA college football playoff committee leaning on Pitt a little bit. Hey, we got to get Notre Dame.

01:15:43

We need Notre dame to win 110 to nothing.

01:15:45

What can you do for us?

01:15:46

Actually, he did give himself 10 points in this hypothetical, so that's pretty nice.

01:15:50

That's weird.

01:15:51

Very weird.

01:15:52

Hank, do you agree that's weird? Can you admit that's weird?

01:15:54

That's very weird.

01:15:56

Yeah, that's weird. Wait, that was a little.

01:16:01

Hank, wait.

01:16:02

I've got an impression.

01:16:03

Ready?

01:16:04

Zoom. Can you zoom in really close on this? Let me know when. Give me thumbs up when we're zoomed in. Memes.

01:16:12

I'm Hank. I feel sick. Oh, we should have made the squeaky toy be a buzzer like that.

01:16:22

I'm so tired. Sorry for my yawn.

01:16:28

I might be a lefty. So now I have to golf even more to find out. That's true.

01:16:35

I hate all your teams, and I'm.

01:16:36

Gonna bet against all of them every.

01:16:37

Single week and then pretend that it's not because I hate all your teams.

01:16:40

Well, it's because your team's suck. And I was right.

01:16:43

The teams. The teams do stink. They do stink. I'm just. But I'm also. I have a hater.

01:16:49

A fat speaker. Okay, Zach finishes off.

01:16:54

My hot seat of this week is gonna be the residents of Illinois. Residents of Chicago. Residents of Illinois. We're in a spot, boys.

01:17:01

We're hitting that s. Have we.

01:17:05

Yeah. Have we. Have we talked about the blob? Do you guys know about the Blob? Anybody blob familiar?

01:17:12

Is this a weather thing?

01:17:13

Talking about the bean.

01:17:14

It's semi weather. Yes, actually. Yes, it's weather.

01:17:16

It's La Nina or whatever. Hot blob. Okay, Got a blob.

01:17:21

We got a blob in the area. High pressure, massive ocean heat wave up in North Pacific. The blob. You guys blob familiar?

01:17:27

No, I'm familiar with, like, we. Like baseline plays, out of bounds.

01:17:31

We Apocalypse.

01:17:34

Oh, my God.

01:17:34

Apocalyptic winter might be upon us.

01:17:36

Why?

01:17:36

I think inhabitable winter. We might just have to go out of country.

01:17:40

The good news is we're all gonna be dead because Hank has given us anthrax or whatever.

01:17:45

What's the blob?

01:17:46

So the blob is.

01:17:47

Oh, man, he's burping, too. Struggling.

01:17:52

Massive, massive ocean heat wave in the North Pacific.

01:17:55

So wouldn't a heat wave be good?

01:17:56

So like what? Word on the word all the weatherman streets is there's this pipeline going through the United States.

01:18:02

Right.

01:18:02

The Blob comes over, affects the pipeline a lot. Hot air goes one way.

01:18:08

What happened by that now?

01:18:10

Different pipeline.

01:18:12

I think it affects a pipeline. Could be the same pipeline.

01:18:15

I think you're talking about a pipeline of air. Yes, we got the, the jet stream.

01:18:20

Maybe, maybe jets. I think I'm gonna be Blob specific pipeline, but also could affect the jet stream. A lot of hot air going down, but the most cool there you've ever seen going up.

01:18:29

Oh, no.

01:18:30

So I think, I don't know, we should relocate.

01:18:32

This is the Blob for the winter.

01:18:34

Yeah, the. Yeah. Huge, huge blob in the Pacific.

01:18:39

I would like for Zach to be our weather guy.

01:18:41

All the up and coming weather guys are saying like this could be catastrophic.

01:18:45

What is catastrophic? Means it could be a little colder.

01:18:47

I think just like the coldest.

01:18:50

The coldest ever. Yeah. That just can't be possible.

01:18:53

Potential of been maximum colder. They're saying 2013, 2014 had nothing on this blob.

01:18:58

Okay, what does up and coming mean?

01:19:01

You like guys who haven't really made it to the league yet, but like.

01:19:04

Promising like five star weather guys.

01:19:06

All right.

01:19:06

Like do a lot of research at home.

01:19:08

Yeah, top prospects.

01:19:09

Listen, we just got to get. As long as football's still on, as soon as February happens, that's when I. I don't want to hear about the Blob.

01:19:15

I have a question, Zach. Yes, sir. When you say guys, it started out being like guys who are like the up and coming weather guys. And then when memes asked that question kind of changed to guys that might not be weathermen for their profession, but they pay attention to it. Is there somebody that you work around that you're thinking of when you say this?

01:19:36

No one is.

01:19:37

No one.

01:19:37

Particularly a lot of grassroots weather guys who are really trying to make pave their way in the weather space.

01:19:43

All right, so yeah, who are these? Where does one find a grassroot, like weather enthusiast?

01:19:49

Not the news, the grassroot guys. More like TikTok Instagram.

01:19:52

Okay, so. All right, so we saw TikTok is what it sounds like.

01:19:55

No, several. This was out this can. The blog consumed me for several, several periods of hours.

01:20:01

Okay.

01:20:02

Yeah. It's because you got to think a lot of these guys that get the weather job, they're kind of complacent. These guys, you know, they're hungry, they still want to get. They still focus on getting the Weather. Right.

01:20:10

I. You can't. You can't bog down in this. You just gotta let it play out. And if it sucks, it's gonna suck. But it's gonna suck for a month and a half, and then we'll be March Madness. Spring will work. You. You were here. March Madness last year.

01:20:25

I just feel like you're. You're definitely correct.

01:20:27

I feel like the world.

01:20:28

There's a world where we just don't.

01:20:29

Get out the Blob.

01:20:29

Well, could be the end.

01:20:31

Zach. I think we're. I've. I've followed some of these same guys as you have, and what I'm seeing is not so much about the Blob, but I'm seeing a lot of the Tilt.

01:20:39

Tilt.

01:20:39

Have you heard about the tilt?

01:20:40

What's going on with the Tilt?

01:20:42

So, apparently, I think it's going to be like six to eight, seven months in Chicago. The way that the Earth is wobbling on its axis, it's actually going to be tilted away from the sun in Chicago. Like, Chicago's gonna be as far away from the sun this year as it possibly could be for, like, six months. And that. That's going to be really, really cold here. Maybe look into the tilt.

01:21:06

So we're talking two quarters of the year. Maybe have to move out. We. We got to go different. We gotta relocate.

01:21:11

Yeah, no, it's. It's. It's a real thing. Just looking to the top.

01:21:15

The Blob. I guess Mincy was right. Mincy's been saying this for a while now. Okay.

01:21:21

Had a good run.

01:21:22

We did.

01:21:23

We had a good run.

01:21:24

Some Max. Never said who.

01:21:27

All right, PF or Zach, what's your cool throw?

01:21:30

My cool throw in this week is up and coming Call of Duty challengers, Team Telluride Bush.

01:21:35

You're allowed to talk about this. I'm in a. I'm in current litigation with them.

01:21:40

I'm unfamiliar with any litigation. I can backpedal.

01:21:42

Well, let me tell you, the litigation, they used my name, image, and likeness without signing me to any type of deal.

01:21:49

Was that AI.

01:21:50

It was. I don't know what it was.

01:21:52

So are you in litigation against the owners?

01:21:56

Anyone associated with Telluride Bush?

01:21:59

Is there anyone in this room that's associated with Telluride?

01:22:01

Zach? I'm beat reporting, buddy.

01:22:05

I'm just beat reporting.

01:22:05

Are you getting.

01:22:06

But you're an owner.

01:22:08

I don't know if that's. If that's a factual thing. I just know that they had a fantastic performance this weekend.

01:22:14

They won.

01:22:15

Didn't win. Didn't win, but had some remarkable maps. Did take out Half Optic. Had a team who can dash around that team. They took them out. Stallions, which is Zuma's challengers team. Great performance against the Stallions. Light work at the Stallions.

01:22:30

You guys are getting work for free ads right now.

01:22:32

Yeah, I don't know if I can support this team. I'm a Nadeshot guy.

01:22:36

That's completely understandable. Hunter or LA Thieves did win the entire tournament, which is Nadesha's team.

01:22:41

Yeah.

01:22:41

Nice.

01:22:41

That's Zachary.

01:22:42

Now, since your arrival of Nadeshot.

01:22:45

No, I can't be anti nayshot. That would be denying my, like, entire childhood. That would be.

01:22:49

So if your gaming team goes up against his team, you're just gonna turtle like, they might beat you 100 to nothing. 110.

01:22:58

They got some guys.

01:22:59

They do. Is this a picture they used? Is that real?

01:23:04

This would be a picture. A picture that didn't ask for his name, image, nor likeness, though.

01:23:09

Is that real? The nail polish.

01:23:12

Big cat, Is this real? That's not real.

01:23:16

This is fake.

01:23:17

It might be real. I don't know. Someone did point out. They're like. I was like, I'm suing. And they're like, dude, you had nail polish on your. Your. On your toes for. For two. Two weeks. I was like, it was way longer than two weeks.

01:23:28

These are fingers and a half.

01:23:31

I'm reading about the blob now.

01:23:33

I'm telling you, look in the tilt.

01:23:35

Blob tail combo could be catastrophic.

01:23:37

It's gonna be a bad tilt this year.

01:23:40

01:24:54

Original is great.

01:24:55

Peach.

01:24:55

Peach is delicious, too. Shout out to Harrisonburg, Virginia, and everybody at Finnegan's Cove. I. I sent 500 bucks worth of twisted tea over on Saturday after we beat Marshall. I hope everybody at the bar enjoyed it. I know that there's nothing like drinking nice, cold, twisted tea on a Saturday afternoon. Keep it twisted. Grab a tea. It's game time. Stock up on ice. Cold twisted tea today. And now, here's Clayton Kershaw.

01:25:23

Okay. We now welcome on a very, very, very, very, very special guest. He is future hall of Famer, World Series champion, mvp, one of the best pitchers of all time. It is Clayton Kershaw. Clayton, thank you for joining us. We're very excited to have you on. Let's start from where you're at right now. Retired. How does it feel? You're, what, two weeks into retirement, are you? I'd imagine it's not much different than usual, like, the first two weeks after a baseball season, but has it set in yet that, like. Oh, yeah, this is kind of. I'm retired now.

01:25:57

Yeah, it's starting to a little bit. You know, I think the biggest thing is I have zero motivation to work out at all. Zero. Like, just don't want to do anything. You know, that usually happens after the season, but slowly but surely, like, you're like, all right, I gotta do this to get ready for next season. But with no next season, it's like, I. I guess I need to start working out because this body can get out of hand really fast. But right now, no motivation to do that.

01:26:23

That would actually be awesome. If you got, like, super, super fat for just, like, one year, it would not.

01:26:29

It would take two months for me. I mean, I could do that in an instant. Like, it is. It is no problem for me to get that big. It'd be easy.

01:26:35

Yeah.

01:26:36

Yeah. That's awesome for you. Though, get to.

01:26:37

That's just what my wife wants to hear.

01:26:39

Yeah, yeah.

01:26:40

Like. Like Clayton Kershaw retirement night, and you just come back, you're like £400. It's like, what the hell? And then you lose the weight.

01:26:47

Yeah, yeah.

01:26:48

I'm gonna.

01:26:48

I'm gonna try to keep it a little bit, you know, in check, but we'll see.

01:26:51

Okay.

01:26:52

So it's been a crazy few weeks for you, that World Series. It might have been the best World Series of all time. As you're playing in the games, do you. Are you able to appreciate how good the games are while you're in them, or is it just too much stress in the moment for you?

01:27:06

I'll tell you what, the bullpen is stressful. You know, I've never done. I've never done the bullpen for an extended, extended period like that, so just never really knowing when that phone's going to ring and your name's going to call. Like, it's such an adrenaline spike when that phone rings, you know, So I don't know if anybody can really appreciate it when they're playing, but, yeah, looking back on was incredible. It was good for baseball. It was good for fans. I mean, we had. I think we had the most viewership in a postseason in a long time. So it's just. It just shows that baseball's in a good spot. And that was a great series, man, the Blue Jays played unbelievable. And I honestly, I don't even know how we won that Series, to be honest, but we did, and it feels good.

01:27:44

Yeah.

01:27:45

Have you.

01:27:45

Did you go back and watch any of the games on tv?

01:27:48

I've seen highlights I haven't liked. I haven't sat down and watched, like, a full game yet. But obviously, watching the highlights and especially game seven, going back and watching all that, that was, man, what a game. That was crazy.

01:27:58

Yeah. As. As a pitcher, can you put into perspective because we were obviously, we were enthralled by the World Series. It was so, so good. And what Yamamoto did in game seven on zero days rest, like, as a pitcher, how put that into perspective of how hard that is, especially to have no dip in his stuff?

01:28:16

Yeah, I don't know if you can put it in perspective unless, like, you. You've pitched before, but, like, you don't feel good after you start a game, you know, Like, I can't imagine what it feels like to play football like that Monday after a game. Like, I'm sure their are wrecked and they need that full week to get back and starting Pitching, obviously you're not taking a beating like that, but your arm is. Your arm's beat up, you know, and so, and especially where Yama's coming from, he's coming from Japan, where they pitch once a week, you know, and they don't really have, you know, they don't really pitch on regular rests, and Yama didn't really pitch on regular the whole season. So it just, it just shows. He's got huge balls. I mean, really, that's just what it comes down to. Like, he just, he just says, hey, I'm good. I'm going to do it. And he did it. And. And I'm so thankful he did because we won the World Series because of him. And he's a good dude too, man. He's awesome. He's a lot of fun to be around. And I'm just really happy for him.

01:29:06

And I'm happy for me too, because I was on his team. So.

01:29:08

Yeah. Yeah. When he's, when he's awesome. It was incredible story. When he's warming up, you're obviously in the bullpen where you watching it, being like, holy shit. He's like, this stuff is, it's got the same zip.

01:29:19

It was amazing. Yeah, he came out and threw a 93 mile an hour split, like, first pitch. And we were just like, this guy is not human, you know, Like, I mean, splits are not easy to throw as it is. And his command was good. He's getting outs and then I think he ended up throwing two and two thirds. You know, like some guys have been the hero and like come in for an out or come in for, you know, maybe a couple batters, but he got like 10 outs for us or 8 outs or something like that. So it was just, it was a superhuman performance.

01:29:47

Yeah. And then I, I saw the story that when you guys actually won the World Series, you were, you were warming up and you didn't even realize that the final out had. Happen. Happened.

01:29:55

Yeah, I had no idea. I had no idea. I was. It was first and third at the time, and I thought there was nobody out. So, you know, Kirk grounds in a double play. I'm thinking, all right, two outs, that's great. But run scored, games tied, and there's a lefty that was on deck, Varsho. So he, he's. He's about to go to bat, and I was like, this is kind of my spot. This is where I'm coming in the game. And so I'm firing bullets down there, trying to get loose. And Bardo, our bullpen coach looks at me, he's like, what are you doing? We just won the World Series, you know, and so that was. That's how I found out we won. It was awesome.

01:30:27

Was it always the plan to retire after this World Series or if you guys had lost, like sliding doors moment, maybe, maybe, you know, the runner scores from third and you lose the Blue Jays. Was there a part of you that was like, maybe I am going to come back next year?

01:30:39

No, no, I'm done. I was done. You know, I was, I was. I knew I was done basically the whole season, you know, and I kind of went into this year thinking it was going to be my last one and didn't really say anything until the end. And then, you know, going into the postseason, definitely knowing that it was my last one. So just, I mean, what a way to end it, man. It was. It was so special. I couldn't script it any better than that. And, you know, you look around the league, all these guys are throwing 95, 96 with nasty stuff. And I mean, it's just like, you know, I'm throwing 88, you know, it's just. It's just time. It's just time to be done. And I'm at peace with that. It feels good. And I don't have to try to keep up anymore, which is nice.

01:31:16

And it's nice to contribute to World Series too. I mean, like, without you, like that 18 inning game, for example, how much pressure was on you coming in? Was that the 12th inning that you came to pitch? How much pressure is that in that moment? Knowing that one mistake, it could. It could all be over.

01:31:32

Yeah. Well, I was just so glad I got the out. Like, that was the last time I ever pitched. You know, that's. I get to say that for the rest of my life. That's pretty cool. The last out I ever got was bases loaded in the extra innings of a World Series game that we ended up winning like six innings later. But yeah, I mean, obviously that's like bulp in life. You just come in in those huge moments like that and just. I'm super thankful I got the out. You know, I finally got a slider to turn right. The first three or four I threw just went straight as an arrow. So I needed to figure out how to get one to turn right. And thankfully you rolled over and Tom made a good play.

01:32:02

Yeah. So I mentioned at the top, obviously hall of Famer, incredible career. I want to go back. This is probably a dumb question, but it's. It is a Dumb question, but in that stretch of like 2013, 14, when you win an MV win back to back Cy Young, what was it like just being that, like, nasty? Because you. I think you had two years in a row where you had either equal or more strikeouts per inning and your ERA was sub two. Did it just feel every. Every day that you came, you know, to the ballpark and you had to pitch, you're like, I just know I'm going to fuck everyone up.

01:32:38

I think starting pitching is a lot like. It's a lot like golf in some respects, or it's a lot like, you know, when Steph or somebody gets hot shooting threes, like, you don't really realize that you're in the good old days while you're doing it. You know, you just. You just know that when you throw the ball, it's going to go exactly where you want to, and you can keep doing that over and over again for a full game. And so I think that's kind of how it was for me. Like, I didn't know any different. I just expected to do that. And, you know, it worked out. But I don't really have an answer for you. It felt good to win. It felt good to get guys out all the time. And I think you don't really appreciate it until you realize that it might not be this good all the time. You know, when I started getting hurt a little bit and the Velo started going down and realized, oh, this game's a lot harder. You know, it can be a lot harder. So I don't think I appreciated it until I can look back and, you know, be done with it all.

01:33:29

Yeah. We have to ask you a question about. Obviously, you went to Highland Park High School, and he had a very famous teammate, maybe one of the best athletes in the history of Texas. This Jake felt. What was it like? What was it like playing with Jake? Like, how dominant was Jake felt?

01:33:44

I wish you could have seen this guy play six man Y football. Fourth, fifth and sixth grade. I mean, it was. I mean, it was. They still talk about it here. It's legendary. Jake. Jake was our running back in high school. And obviously, you know, state championship, five touchdowns. I know Matthew told you all this, but. Yeah, Jake was kind of who we all, like, looked up to in high school. That was like, the guy. I think he could have played baseball if he wanted to. He probably could have played basketball, hockey, whatever he wanted, you know, it was just. He was just the man. And he's a good dude, too. It was fun.

01:34:16

Five Touchdowns in the state championship.

01:34:18

I think that's right. I mean, they won like 59 to nothing. Yeah.

01:34:21

So we, we want to get Jake on the podcast at some point.

01:34:24

Yes.

01:34:25

He'd be great.

01:34:26

It seems like.

01:34:26

Yeah.

01:34:27

The straw that stirs the drink. Jake Felt.

01:34:28

Yeah.

01:34:29

Legend of Jake Felt. Yeah. I, I know that it's obviously been talked about ad nauseam. You probably don't even notice it because you're pitching in the games, so you're not watching the game, seeing them put up the graphic of you in Stafford every other inning. But it is kind of crazy when you just like boil it down. You're like one of the best pitchers in, you know, the last 50 years, one of the best quarterbacks. You guys were friends in high school, went to school together. Like that is a pretty nuts story. Maybe we underrated. Maybe we need to talk about it more.

01:34:57

Well, the way Matthew's playing right now, he's going to keep going for another five, six years. I mean, it's been, it's so fun to watch him right now and, you know, it's really fun to have him in LA too. I'm a Rams fan now and it's, it's amazing, you know, we're the same age, you know, a month apart and so, you know, I, I can't imagine trying to pitch another season and Matthew's going to be going another, I mean, as long as he wants to, really. So I'm happy for him. And he came out to some games and I got to see him after my last home start and talk with him and he's great, man, he's such a good dude and I'm happy for him and it's been fun to be in the same city with him and, and yeah, I'm a big Rams fan now. It's fun.

01:35:35

Yeah, I love that. What's next for you now? Are you going to get into coaching?

01:35:39

I don't think so. I don't think I'll be a coach, honestly. I don't know. I'm excited to be on the no Plan plan right now and just kind of, kind of be home and, you know, I'll coach all my kiddos teams and we got basketball season starting up, so I'm excited about that. And I still love baseball. I love being a part of it and I love the Dodger organization, so. So yeah, maybe somewhere down the road there's something I can do to help out. But you know, right now I have no idea.

01:36:05

Yeah, what, when, when you're thinking about retiring and now that you are retired or there is there one or two guys, you're like, thank God I don't have to face him anymore. Or maybe it's already retired. So who's the guy that pops in your head right when I say that?

01:36:18

I have two right off the top of my head, and they're both, they're both done before me, but Adam Dunn and Dexter Fowler, those two guys own me. I think Adam Dunn has like four or five homers, and I think I faced Dexter maybe like 60 or 70 times, and I think he's hitting like.450 off of me. So unfortunately, there's a lot of those guys out there, though. I mean, I could name, I could rattle off a bunch that just absolutely own me. So that's nice. I don't have to worry about that anymore.

01:36:44

Yeah. What about the reverse? Is there a guy that you're like, man, I could probably get him out right now.

01:36:49

Yeah, I don't know about right now, but there are some guys like that. I don't, I, I'm gonna say this guy's name because I played with him in high school on some junior Olympic stuff, and I know he's a great dude and he won't mind, but Brandon Belt with the Giants, he's another Texan. And Brandon, I, I, he didn't get too many hits off me. I did okay against him.

01:37:09

Yeah.

01:37:09

But, but on the other hand, if you're Brandon and, and the one guy that you can say, like, had my number was Clayton Kershaw. That's not that bad. It's like, yeah, he's a great player.

01:37:17

He was a great player, too. He had some great years. He was not against Giants.

01:37:21

Yeah. Oh, he hit. Hit 0.065 average. 4 for 62.

01:37:26

Yikes.

01:37:28

You struck him out 30 times.

01:37:30

I wasn't gonna say that, but, yeah, I figured you had the stats there 30 times.

01:37:34

30 out of 62 at bats. You could have you, yeah, you could get him out right now.

01:37:39

At some point, I'd be like, I'd take it easy on him. That's your boy.

01:37:44

See, I, I played with him a little bit, and I know him, so I know he's not going to take offense.

01:37:50

Stats. And we do. Like, obviously we. The way I asked the question, it's like you got to basically say, who. Who owns you? You should get, you should be able to say the reverse and be like, yeah, this guy. And if we ever have Brandon Belt on, we're like, hey, Clayton Kershaw owned you. And then we'd ask him, who did you always feel good against?

01:38:06

Okay, good.

01:38:07

It just is. Yeah, it's reciprocal. It goes all the way around.

01:38:10

I'm speaking just as a friend, though. As a friend, you might want to just, you know, after the 25th strikeout, do a little class A on the first pitch.

01:38:18

Oh, man. He was. He went to te. And he was actually a really good pitcher, too. Played first base over there. And so we have the Texas connection too, which is fun.

01:38:27

I'll give you somebody else that you owned was Shohei Otani.

01:38:30

Yeah. How about that? How about that? Not as many at bats, but yeah, I had a decent run against shohei.

01:38:35

What was it, 0411 against you?

01:38:37

Yeah, it was something like that. It wasn't too many at bats, but, you know, I just remember one pop up, he hit about 700ft into the air that if he got a little bit. A little bit more of it was gonna go 700ft the other way. So I got a little lucky with Shohei, but. But I'll take it.

01:38:52

How amazing was that? Were you able to watch Shohei? Like, obviously, he's your teammate, might be your friend, but as a fan, when he's hitting three home runs and striking dudes out in the playoffs, were you able to appreciate that in the moment?

01:39:06

I think I was then, yeah. I mean, that was just. He. I don't think you're ever going to see another guy like Shohei in baseball, so I think we have to appreciate him now. Like, there's. I'm sure there's a lot of guys in high school, maybe even college, that can do both hit and pitch, but. But not like that. Like, not. Not be the best at both, basically, you know, so it's amazing. Shohei's and the way he goes about it and the way he handles it all and deals with all the attention and. I mean, I just. I have a lot of respect for Shohei and how he. He handles everything. He does a really good job with it all, and he's actually. He's really fun to be around. He's a good dude. Laughs a lot. Good clubhouse guy. Speaks. Speaks enough English to where we can, like, talk and hang out, so. But that game was crazy, man. That ball he hit over the pavilion. I've never seen a do that at Dodger Stadium.

01:39:52

It's amazing.

01:39:54

It's probably the best game ever played, maybe in any sport.

01:39:57

Yeah. I mean, especially when you consider the nlcs. You know, it's like, it's. It's in the playoffs, you Know, so, Yeah, I think, I think you might be right.

01:40:04

Yeah. And it's also just, he has reached that territory of like, we are watching something we may never see again. And.

01:40:10

Yeah, that's, yeah, absolutely. Have to enjoy it. It's so cool. So cool.

01:40:15

I want to take you back to 2013 when you won the Cy Young. And I, I, because I, I, I pulled up some of my old tweets. You accepted the award. I think it was on ESPN or maybe it was MLB Network.

01:40:28

And I know where you're going.

01:40:29

Yeah. The whitest crew of all time with you.

01:40:33

Yeah. What?

01:40:34

What? Talk to me. It's not only. It's, it's four. I count five button down shirts, two Q zips. The guys are like arms on each other. What, what, what happened with that? Where you, you just had your boys, like, hey, everyone get in here. Let's do a, a Greenwich Street Posse look here.

01:40:52

Yeah. I think that, what they call them, the Mean Street Posse.

01:40:55

Yeah.

01:40:58

So I won in 2011, and those guys started getting some, like, you know, wow, this is the widest crew I've ever seen. Are y' all all CPAs? You know, this is. And so they, they just started leaning into it and they're like, all right, for 2013, we gotta go big. So they just found the, you know, just found the widest clothes they could find, the sweater vest and the, the CPA look, and they leaned into it, man. But.

01:41:22

Oh, so it's intentional. That's even funnier.

01:41:24

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:41:24

Okay.

01:41:25

They wanted to, they wanted to lean into it. And so those guys are all. They were my high school guys, some of them. I've been known em since their third grade, and they, they came out to all the games all the time, so they're, they're the best. But they loved it too. It was fun.

01:41:40

Yeah. It's. It's basically if, if a picture could say, my dad is a lawyer and I'll sue you. That's this picture. Yeah.

01:41:48

And they know it. And they know it, and that's what makes it great.

01:41:50

Oh, that's great. I got another question about tweets. We're big fans of Magic Johnson, who's partial owner of the Dodgers. Did you ever find out news about yourself, like two days after a game when he does his, hey, the Dodgers have a must win tonight, it's game seven type of tweet?

01:42:09

No. What? Tell me, I don't know the backstory of this. What's going on here?

01:42:12

He tweets. His tweets are very Matter of fact, like, I have one from 2014. It just says when Ramirez, Gonzalez, and Kemp hit well, and Kershaw is pitching like he did tonight. We can beat any team in baseball. I assume you just pitch great and everyone got home runs, so. Yeah. You usually win those type of games.

01:42:30

I see. I see.

01:42:31

Yeah. What is he like? Is that you? I'm sure you. You've met him and been around him a little bit.

01:42:36

Yeah, no, he's awesome. He's great. He comes around, definitely, to all the, you know, the playoff games, and it's just such a huge presence, you know, like, he's basically the one of the big faces in L. A. And to have him as an owner is really fun. He. He's.

01:42:51

He's.

01:42:52

He's fun to talk to, and I think he's getting into baseball, too, which is fun.

01:42:56

Yeah. Yeah. Here's. I'll pull you up one. That better explains it. Okay, let me see what was. Oh, yeah. With the series being 2 2. Game 5 is very important. Whichever team wins takes control of the series. Series. Actually, that one was wrong.

01:43:13

That was wrong.

01:43:14

Yeah, it was wrong. But.

01:43:15

Okay, I get what you're saying. No, I haven't had any of those moments with him, but I. I get what you're saying.

01:43:20

Okay.

01:43:20

Do you ever. Do you ever get distracted with. With the celebrities at the Dodgers games? Like, I know Jerry o' Connell was on the big screen a bunch this postseason. I think a lot of people at home were like, enough. Jerry o'? Connell?

01:43:31

Yeah, I mean, I. Yeah, a little bit. I mean, I like looking around. I mean, I think we had Justin Bieber there. I'm a big Bieber guy.

01:43:38

Guy.

01:43:40

But he was a Blue Jays. He was wearing a Blue Jays jersey, so that hurt a little bit, but. And then Jason Bateman's one of my favorites. He's always. He's always there. He's a big Dodger guy. And I've got a good Jason Bateman story if you want to hear it.

01:43:52

Yeah, we'd love it.

01:43:53

Yeah. So he came to the clubhouse after one game, and he was going around meeting everybody and talking, and just. He's. He's the best. Such a good dude. And, you know, I. I don't know if you've noticed, but I usually have my shirt off a lot, and sometimes in the clubhouse, I might not have much clothing on at all, and. And I was naked this time, and I got to introduce myself to Jason, and he took it like a champ. I gave him a bro hug and said, what's up. And he just took it all in stride. So that was. That was pretty fun. It was my good way to meet Jason. That was great.

01:44:22

Yeah, he's in your. I mean, he's in your domain, so.

01:44:25

Yeah, I know. The clubhouse. I have no shame in the clubhouse.

01:44:28

Really.

01:44:28

Anywhere, but definitely in the clubhouse.

01:44:30

Yeah.

01:44:30

I got another dumb question for you, and this is really, really dumb because you, your life is baseball. You pitched so long in the pros, but when you got the rubber from your last, last start in regular season, did you know the rubber was that big?

01:44:44

No idea. No, I didn't know.

01:44:46

It was crazy. Like, it was so big.

01:44:49

It's so heavy, dude. So heavy. It was like, I mean, I was tired, but it felt like it was £100. It's probably like £30, but yeah, they're like, what do you want to do with this? And I was like, I think it's awesome, but I have no idea what I want to do with this. You know, I don't, I don't know what you do with that, but, yeah, I had no idea. It is down in there deep.

01:45:08

Okay. That makes me feel better because when I saw it, I was like, you know, I didn't really want to say anything because I want to be like, oh, you're not a ball knower. But I was like, I don't think people understand how big this thing is. It's like an ice.

01:45:18

Yeah, it's crazy. It's crazy. Replacing that thing's not easy. Our ground screw is the best, but they say they replace it like two or three times a year, and they had to do it like twice in a month span right there.

01:45:28

So, yeah, it goes. It's like a foot deep.

01:45:30

Yeah, it's heavy, man. Heavy.

01:45:33

These are the hard hitting questions we usually get.

01:45:35

I love these. These are, These are great. Yeah.

01:45:38

Is there a pitch that you ever were thinking about throwing that you were working on that you never quite had the confidence to put into the rotation?

01:45:46

I mean, I, I tried to throw a change up for 18 years and could never do it, you know, So, I mean, I, you know, my arm goes this way and it can't go this way. So that's how I. I don't know why, but I could never figure it out and people tried to teach me and I never did it. Never. To this day, if my, if my son ever asked me how to throw a change up, I'm gonna. I'd be like, I don't know.

01:46:07

Yeah.

01:46:08

Yeah. That's uncle show.

01:46:10

Yeah, we were Talking to Paul Skeens when he was on the show, and he said that he. He carries around a baseball with him and just, like, works on grips absentmindedly. Do you do that, too?

01:46:19

I had one in my car. Always. I always have one in my car. Yeah. Just sometimes I put it in my back because my back hurts, but most of the time, I'm just, like, gripping the ball and.

01:46:29

Yeah.

01:46:29

I mean, you can only throw so many bullets, you know, so to be able to work on stuff just with grips and then your hand, I think it matters. I think it matters.

01:46:37

Yeah.

01:46:37

Yeah. Speaking of your back, how are you feeling? I remember you had an epidural back in, like, 2018, right?

01:46:42

I've had a handful of those. Yeah. I honestly, I think overall, I'm okay. I think my biggest complaint is my toe. My toe hurts, but I'm hoping when I, you know, since I've stopped pitching, it'll start feeling better soon.

01:46:56

Wait, what's up with your toe? You got turf?

01:46:57

I had surgery.

01:46:58

Oh.

01:46:59

I had gnarly surgery last off season on my toe. I wish I could show you these pictures. They're gross. It looks like Frankenstein, but able to come back from that. But it's just never really quite been the same. And, you know, I don't think pitching is very good for it, so hopefully it feels better. You don't realize how much you need your toe, so it's kind of like. It's kind of same thing as, like, what Brock Purdy's going through or Joe Burrow. And then Mahomes had the surgery for it after one Super Bowl. So I guess it's not completely uncommon, but for pitchers, it is.

01:47:28

It's just a soft name for it. When they call it turf toe, everybody's like, oh, just. Yeah, just walk it off.

01:47:32

Yeah, just rub some dirt in it.

01:47:33

Exactly.

01:47:34

It's. I. I thought so, too, until. Until I have it. It hurts.

01:47:37

Yeah. Now that you're retired, can you. Can you say that like someone pipping a home run on you really pissed you off?

01:47:50

I don't mind the pimping of a homer. I just. I don't. I think if it's, like, directed at you. You know what I mean? Like, if you want to fire up your dugout and if you want to, like, you know, stare at the ball a little bit. I got. I get it. Like, you hit a good one. Congrats. But, like, if you're looking at me while you do it, that. That's when I kind of get. Or look in our dugout or do stuff. Like. I don't. I don't like all that. No, I. I mean, I had. I think. I think Trent Grisham probably pimped one the most off me in San Diego. And honestly, I didn't. I didn't take too much offense to it, but our dugout really got pissed.

01:48:23

Oh, so they got mad for you. So you got back and you were like, oh, I do have to do something.

01:48:27

Well, honestly, I was watching the ball. I was like, God, he hit that far. And. And I didn't even see what he did, but I saw, like, I saw Doc even and our dugout getting pissed at him. So I went look back, and it was. It was a little excessive, but overall, I don't remember too many that were too bad.

01:48:44

Yeah, dude, I hate to reduce your career to one pitch, but I'm gonna reduce your career to one pitch. Do you have one moment, like, one. One strikeout that you had or one pitch that you threw where you're like, that was insane.

01:49:00

Man. Let me think. I think more of the moment, you know, Like, I think it's more of the moment than the pitch, but, you know, I think getting the last out of the no hitter, throwing the slider there, that was cool. And then, honestly, the last pitch I ever threw was another slider. And like, that. That actually was a good one. And I actually. That threw it one of my harder sliders of my career right there. So I think I'll always have that with me. Like, that was. That was pretty cool.

01:49:24

Would people avoid you during a no hitter? Would they just stay away?

01:49:28

Yeah.

01:49:28

Yeah. That's like. There's so many superstitions in baseball, you know, and I. I don't really get that one. But to be fair, I'm not the most friendly guy on start day either, so not too many guys come up and, like, have a chat.

01:49:39

Got.

01:49:39

You know, so I don't think it was anything out of the ordinary, honestly.

01:49:43

I feel like that could make some guys more nervous. It's just, like, staying away from not talking about it, right?

01:49:48

Yeah, you start feeling it. Some guys like to talk. You know, everybody deals with anxiety and stress differently. Some people, like, can't stop talking, can't shut up. And then other people are quiet and kind of focused, and I'm kind of. I kind of lean towards the other way, more focused.

01:50:00

So you mentioned on start day, you're a different guy. What's that guy like?

01:50:05

I just am not, like, I. I don't do, like, the small talk very well on Start day. Like, I just don't. Like, if you have something to say, like, that's great, I'll say, hey. I'll say, what's up? But, like, I don't want to talk about, you know, I don't want to talk about much of anything other than, like, the game. And I think that's just, like, in the back of my head, I know that, you know, I have a job to do tonight, and I don't really want to take any focus off of that, and I want to talk about, you know, how many. How many kills you got in Call of Duty last night? You know, I just. I don't want to do that right now. You know, who.

01:50:33

Who was the craziest that you played with. With on start day? And. And why was it Max Scherzer's had a rule?

01:50:42

Like, Schurz was the same guy. Like, same guy as ever. And then an hour and a half. I think it was an hour and a half. He would. He would go shirs mode and put his headphones in and, like, kind of lock in. So I respect that. Like, he was the same guy. And then he literally just, like, flipped a switch. It was like an hour and a half or two hours before the game, and that's when you knew not to mess with him. So. So I think everybody, to some extent, kind of has that, but Schurz was like, here's the time. And. And then after that, you don't talk to him until after the game. Really?

01:51:12

Yeah, you don't talk to him. If you try to take him out of the game, he'll be like, get the. Off my mound. I don't want to come out.

01:51:16

And then you don't touch him. Like, Doc. Doc was saying, like, you can't give him a fist bump or, like, a butt slap or anything until like, after. After his job's done. Like, don't give him a. Don't tell him, good job. Yeah, the game's done.

01:51:26

Yeah.

01:51:27

Like a dog that you can't pet net. Yeah.

01:51:30

If I was. If I was Dave Roberts, I would plan that into my. To my managerial strategy and do, like, a fake pull from the game where I go out to the mound before he needs to come out, let him yell at him and be like, okay, all right. Yeah, you're right. You're gonna stay in and then take him out an inning later. Like, you gotta. You gotta plan that ahead of time.

01:51:47

Yeah, I'll. I'll mention that to Schurz's next manager. It's a good Idea.

01:51:50

Yeah. Did you. Did you ever successfully lobby a manager? Like, hey, no, you're not taking me out of this game.

01:51:57

Yeah, but I think it was always, like, you know how the. The managers sometimes come out and, like, it's almost like a check your pulse situation. Like, if they're, like, if you can. If they're. If you're, like, handing the ball to them, like, you expect to come out, that's when they take you out. But, like, there's a lot of times when Doc was just like, are you good? And I'm like, yeah, I'm good. You know, it wasn't. It wasn't like, don't take me out. It was just like a check your poll situation. There's, like, one video of me like. Like, waving somebody off, and I. It was just. I was talking to our pitching coach, like, hey, I need. This is a new hitter. I need, like, a scouting report come and. Come out and tell me, you know, and I think he got blown up. Like, I was waving Doc off, which wasn't true. I just was. But it got blown up.

01:52:37

Yeah. It could have been anyone. You could have been like, hey, Jason Bateman, meet me in the locker room after the game. I'll see you there.

01:52:43

That sounds weird, but, yeah.

01:52:45

All right. I want to go back. This has been awesome. I got a couple last questions. We really appreciate you coming on 2013. Back to your. Back to that season. You had a home run, your only home run in your career. In the first game, did you think in the back of your head, you're like, what. What if I just hit, like, 30 home runs this year?

01:53:07

That was my only homer. That was it.

01:53:08

But. But on opening day, you're like, you got it in your head. Be like, maybe this is my season. Maybe I just. Maybe I figured something out.

01:53:17

Yeah, I think I did. I think that's what I thought. I was like, oh, man, they're gonna hit me, like, fivefold. You know, I'm gonna play right field next game or first base, and. And then, sure enough, I didn't get another home for the rest of my career. So I think I. I got humbled pretty quick.

01:53:29

But, yeah, you got my one.

01:53:31

I got my one. It was a fun game.

01:53:34

A friend of ours, Tommy Lasorda, RIP The Legend, you worked closely with him over the years. Did he. Did he ever threaten to fight you?

01:53:44

He did that a lot. He did that a lot. He was a man, Tommy. Yeah, Tommy, he always asked me about my mom. He loved. He loved my mom. When I got drafted, He. He came out and he got to meet my mom when we signed out there. And I'll always remember that about Tommy. He would always ask me how my mom's doing and say hi to her, so he never tried to fight me, though, I don't think.

01:54:05

I think that's how he loves you, is. He's just like, I'll slap you.

01:54:07

You.

01:54:07

Yeah, yeah, that's true. That's true.

01:54:09

We. We got to interview him. It was maybe like eight years ago. It was. It was awesome.

01:54:14

He's got some great stories, man. He could sit there for hours and tell stories.

01:54:17

Yeah. Yeah, it's great. All right, I. I got one last question. This has been awesome. We really appreciate it, Clayton. And anytime you want to come back on Talk Ball, we'd love to have you. It's the robot question. RHOB A K.com promo code. Take 20 off your first purchase. Q, zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts. Roback.com promo code, take. How good are you at ping pong?

01:54:39

At one point in my life, I was. I was pretty solid. We played a lot in high school. It was like. We weren't. Like, we weren't the cool kids, you know, we were going to play ping pong on Friday nights and, like Smash Brothers. But we played a ton of ping pong in high school, and so that carried over for a while. But I'm a little out of practice, I'm not gonna lie.

01:54:58

Okay. Because I was going to say it would be awesome if you went, like.

01:55:01

Ping pong for a while.

01:55:02

It'd be awesome if you tried to go pro and ping pong. You're like the Deion Sanders of ping pong in baseball.

01:55:08

That's a different level, though, man. Those Olympic guys. I mean, that's. I can't. If you don't. Yeah. I can't do. I can't do all that, but just like a normal, like, recreational sport. I can hold my own.

01:55:18

Was. Was there a ping pong table in the. In the clubhouse?

01:55:21

We don't. And then spring training, we had one. Dodger Stadium. No, I think it's. I mean, you. You take a few hacks at that ping pong ball as a pitcher. Like, you're not going to feel, like, awesome if you're on there for hours. So it's probably. Probably a little bit of a job hazard to have around all the time.

01:55:36

Yeah.

01:55:36

Was there a guy on the team that. That gave you. Run for your money?

01:55:39

Mookie's good. Mookie and Freddie are Both really good. Cody Bellinger was good. Those are, like, the first three that come to mind. Mookie, Freddy, and Bopper, those three were solid.

01:55:49

Mookie's good at everything. It's not fair.

01:55:51

Yeah, everything. It's. It's almost frustrating how good he is at everything. Yeah, it's amazing. Yeah.

01:55:57

All right, well, Clayton, congrats again, man. Hall of Fame career. We've. We. We've completed. Actually, we haven't completed the Highland Park. We need to get Jake Felt on. But this has been awesome, man. We really appreciate it. And anytime you want to talk ball, we'd love to have you on.

01:56:10

All right. Appreciate it, guys. This is fun.

01:56:12

Thanks, dude.

01:56:12

Thanks so much, Clayton.

01:56:13

Have a good one.

01:56:14

All right.

01:56:15

See you, man. See you guys.

01:56:16

All right, later.

01:56:19

Clayton Kershaw is brought to you by McDonald's. This episode of Part of My Take is brought to you by McDonald's and their all new Buffalo ranch sauce. It's so good. The new Buffalo ranch sauce. It's arrived. It pairs perfectly with your snack wrap, your McCrispy sandwich, and the McCrispy strips. It's got the tangy zang of buffalo with a creamy cool of mild ranch. It's mild, it's wild. At the same time, it's a sauce that balances itself and complements all the crispy chicken. Get some of the crispy strips, dip that in it comes on the snack wrap, comes on the McCrispy sandwich when you order it. It's mild and wild. There's new sauce in Town at McDonald's. Tangy, creamy buffalo ranch. Maybe my two favorite favorite sauces. Had a little sauce, baby. Tangy, creamy Buffalo ranch. Available for a limited time at participating McDonald's while supplies last. And now here's Joaquim Noah.

01:57:11

Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very special guest. Recurring guest, good friend of the program.

01:57:16

That's right, it is.

01:58:07

I love it.

01:58:08

So where are we going? You mentioned Morocco. Serbia.

01:58:11

Yeah. So we start here in Chicago, then we went to Morocco. Will be the next episode. We'll go to Casablanca. We were interviewing this, this dope local rapper over there, El Grande Toto. So we went to his hood. It was awesome. We had a few great nights out there.

01:58:28

I love that.

01:58:29

And, and the third one is in Jamaica, and I went with a dear friend of mine, Rohan Marley, and, you know, just got to do, Got to hang out over there with the Marleys. It was, it was so dope.

01:58:41

That's awesome.

01:58:42

I also like how you did a travel show and you started in Chicago.

01:58:45

Yeah.

01:58:45

Yeah.

01:58:46

That's a great way to get it, get it off the ground.

01:58:48

Yeah.

01:58:48

So what are you watching other travel shows? Like, are you a fan of any, Anybody else that's out there doing it?

01:58:54

So I, I wasn't, I didn't watch too many travel shows before, and I started watching it, and then my shaman hit me up, and he's like, you know, I used to.

01:59:03

Well, you have a shaman.

01:59:04

I have a shaman.

01:59:05

Well, how did you get a shaman?

01:59:08

I mean, you.

01:59:09

That's not. I, I'm sorry to interrupt, but you can't just say, I my shaman. Like, that's not something everyone has. Can I get a shaman?

01:59:16

You can get a shaman.

01:59:17

How did you get a shaman?

01:59:18

I'll hook you up.

01:59:19

Okay?

01:59:19

I'll hook you up.

01:59:20

I don't want to steal your shaman.

01:59:21

No, you can have my shaman.

01:59:22

What if he gives me some advice and gives you the same advice, and then we're just. I think there was a brother episode by that.

01:59:27

It's okay.

01:59:28

Yeah, it's okay. Are you ready?

01:59:29

Are you ready to, you know, get down and dirty?

01:59:32

Yeah.

01:59:33

What?

01:59:33

What?

01:59:34

How.

01:59:34

You ready for some ayahuasca?

01:59:35

I, I, I've been thinking about it.

01:59:37

I've been thinking, does it make you nervous?

01:59:39

A little bit.

01:59:40

Are you nervous to, you know, lose controls? Are you a control guy?

01:59:44

Not a control guy. It's more like, what if I come back and I'm just totally different?

01:59:49

It's a good thing.

01:59:50

It could be a good thing, could be a bad thing.

01:59:52

Saying, I'm curious. I, I'm Ayahuasca. Curious, but it's. It's got the DMT in it, right? Yeah, that's what. That's what makes me a little bit nervous is that, like, your body releases DMT when you pass away. Right. I feel like it's important for my brain to still have that dmt.

02:00:10

I don't know.

02:00:10

This is. Maybe I'm just.

02:00:11

How many times have you done it?

02:00:12

I've done it like, four times.

02:00:14

And every time is like, what? Tell me, tell me everything ancestral. Okay?

02:00:21

You go back. You go back and you have real conversations with your people. You know, you go to another realm.

02:00:29

It's. It's.

02:00:29

It's hard to put into words, but for me, personally, I was. I did it when. When the basketball thing wasn't working out anymore. I was depressed. I was going through a lot of shit, and I would do anything to try to get back. Right. And, you know, the medicine brought me places that definitely put me at peace with things that were. I had turmoil in my system.

02:00:56

Yeah.

02:00:56

You know, trauma and, you know, I was able to have deep conversations with myself. That's the medicine.

02:01:04

That's incredible.

02:01:05

But the thing is, you. You can't be scared, right? And you can't be a control freak.

02:01:09

Right?

02:01:10

You gotta. You gotta surrender thunder.

02:01:11

Yeah. You don't want to be the guy in the. In the tent who's like, I think I'm having a heart attack. Call the cops.

02:01:15

You'll be all right.

02:01:16

You'll be all right.

02:01:18

Hey, I. I have another ayahuasca question because I am curious about it, but, like, right after you. You take the tea and, you know, you go through the experience, the next morning, do you. Do you wake up feeling better? Or is it something that gradually, as you get removed from the ayahuasca experience, it just kind of keeps developing, the inner peace keeps getting calmer and calmer.

02:01:36

Palmer, I think there's a. There's a few days of processing what you just went through because you are in another realm when you take it. And it's tough. It's. You know, it's not. It's not like a feel good.

02:01:52

Right?

02:01:53

It's not a feel good. Like, it's not ecstasy.

02:01:56

Right.

02:01:57

You know?

02:01:57

Right. It's not a party drug.

02:01:58

It's not a party drug.

02:01:59

Right. So the shaman. When did you get hooked up with the shaman?

02:02:04

Family friend.

02:02:05

Okay.

02:02:05

Family friend. And she was hooking up with Bourdain.

02:02:12

Oh, okay.

02:02:14

So I would hear a lot of Bourdain stories from the shaman. And. And that's how I got put onto Bourdain. And then I had an unbelievable opportunity. My boy Zach from NBA Take 2 asked me if I wanted to do a travel show, and I've been thinking about it for a little while. I travel a lot, and, you know, I'm very comfortable in. In all different places of the world, so it's just nice to be the one asking the questions.

02:02:39

Yeah.

02:02:39

You know?

02:02:40

Yeah. I bet you that's a good feeling of, you know, an entire career where you got a microphone in your face.

02:02:44

Yeah.

02:02:44

How'd the game go? What do you guys got? Yeah.

02:02:47

Yeah.

02:02:48

Why were your rebound solo? Just the worst question.

02:02:50

What's the worst question? That. What's the question that you would get after a game that would drive you nuts?

02:02:56

Like, I mean, losing a game and, like, so what happened?

02:03:01

You suck my dick. What went wrong? We didn't score.

02:03:06

Now we're about to talk about, like.

02:03:08

Yeah.

02:03:08

Talk about what happened on defense.

02:03:09

Yeah.

02:03:10

Yeah.

02:03:11

They can't even ask a question. I want you to talk now, so please talk for me. What's that? Like, if. If you're the one asking questions now, do you, like, find yourself prepping? Are you making lists or doing research? Are you just going there and just kind of interacting with the person as it comes naturally?

02:03:25

So at first, I was. It's funny. So my first interview is with Derek, and Derek was always, like, joking me is. It's. It's interesting. You need to have cameras. And I was. I was always, like, nervous about having cameras. I was like, you know, this isn't gonna be as authentic.

02:03:42

Yeah. It changes how people change how people.

02:03:44

Act when the cameras are on. But what I'm surprised by is how much people actually want to share.

02:03:48

Yeah.

02:03:48

You know, and, you know, especially, like, when you're traveling, everybody just wants to be heard.

02:03:54

Yeah.

02:03:54

So being able to put them in a. In a positive light where they can share their stuff, I think it's. It's. It's something that I always wanted to do, and I. I feel like I'm getting better at it.

02:04:05

That's awesome. So, yeah, go to the YouTube channel's NBAT2. We'll put it in the episode description. Everyone go watch it. Very excited. You know, though, I got got. You got. You know where you got to go.

02:04:17

But we definitely got to do an episode and do some aasa.

02:04:20

But you know where you got to go for this thing to pop off?

02:04:23

Cleveland.

02:04:24

Yes. Ah, I knew it. Go to Cleveland. We got to go to Joa. Doing a travel show. In Cleveland, like, that is. You got to find the most amount of views.

02:04:32

We heard it. We heard it here first.

02:04:34

Yeah.

02:04:34

You have to do it.

02:04:35

That's Guy like Bourdain. He would find beauty everywhere he went.

02:04:40

Yeah.

02:04:40

You can find beauty in Cleveland, for sure.

02:04:42

You have to find it.

02:04:43

It used to be, like, overcast, like a January day. It's got to be gross. And you got to do Cleveland.

02:04:49

We have to.

02:04:50

It's a must.

02:04:50

I'm excited if you guys can help me out with that one.

02:04:53

Yeah, I'll come.

02:04:53

Just, I think last time we were talking a little bit about Cleveland, and a lot of, like, the tourism boards and stuff started hitting me up on.

02:04:59

My d. There we go.

02:05:00

Yeah. It's time.

02:05:01

Joking. No, it does Cleveland.

02:05:03

I would watch that.

02:05:03

It's time. It's time.

02:05:04

Maybe go with Bone Thugs. They'll show you around.

02:05:06

Cool.

02:05:07

Oh, yeah.

02:05:08

Nice.

02:05:08

I'll make a call. All. Yeah.

02:05:09

That's your people.

02:05:10

That's my people. Perfect in theory.

02:05:12

Yeah.

02:05:12

Do you think that they would be okay with taking me around Cleveland? Because a lot of the Cleveland guys, they. They really don't with me.

02:05:19

I. I think that's part of the. The, like, making peace with the remarks that you've made about Cleveland.

02:05:24

Yes.

02:05:25

Cleveland accepting you, showing you they're a warm city. I think. I think we could change a lot of minds.

02:05:30

I think it's a good idea. I think that's a great idea.

02:05:32

I also think you. I don't know if you give yourself enough credit. Like, you. You are the type of person, when you walk in a room, like, everyone wants. Gravitates towards you, and you are the type of, like, soul. Not to get too deep, but a soul that's, like, very welcoming to people. So I think you go anywhere.

02:05:48

Thanks.

02:05:49

And people will just want to share with you.

02:05:51

Appreciate that.

02:05:51

And I. I feel like Cleveland fans will. Will. Like, they don't. They're not gonna hold a grudge. They won a championship.

02:05:56

They did good.

02:05:57

A lot.

02:05:58

Yeah.

02:05:58

And they beat us.

02:05:59

Yeah. Right.

02:06:00

So let it go.

02:06:01

Not in game ones.

02:06:02

Nine games.

02:06:03

Always the game. Once I was like, this is it.

02:06:05

This is it.

02:06:07

That's true.

02:06:07

This is it.

02:06:08

I saw an NBA travel show the other night. It was Giannis trying to establish a pivot foot. Did you watch that?

02:06:13

Yeah. You should just be like, Milwaukee. And it should just be highlights of him traveling.

02:06:17

Yeah, but it's my travel show.

02:06:18

He doesn't. They don't call travels on him.

02:06:20

That was insane.

02:06:21

Yeah.

02:06:21

He took six steps, and then I saw people online that were arguing, saying, like, explaining how it was actually not a travel.

02:06:27

Travel.

02:06:28

Yeah, because you get the gather step, which was actually like three steps, then you do the jump stop. Then you got two pivot foots, and you establish the pivot foot. Yeah, it is.

02:06:36

It.

02:06:37

It does make me mad. As I thought, I found myself, like, turning into my dad watching NBA, being like, that's a walk. They don't go walk anymore.

02:06:43

So you're pissed about it.

02:06:45

I was.

02:06:45

Your travel. That doesn't get called. It drives you nuts.

02:06:48

I mostly got mad at the people that were trying to explain to me why it was not a travel. That's what made me mad. But, hey, listen, if they don't call it it, then by all means, more power to you.

02:06:58

Just let it go, man. It's not. It's not that bad.

02:07:00

I probably should let it go. I probably should. Like, it's not healthy to be mad watching a referee miss a travel call.

02:07:07

I can work on that. We also. I don't. When was the last time you were here? Was it after Florida one? Either way.

02:07:14

It was during that time.

02:07:15

Okay. Either way. Congratulations. Florida's all the way back. Big Dub, that was awesome. Were you at the game?

02:07:20

I wasn't. I was in Morocco filming Nomad.

02:07:23

Did you watch the game?

02:07:24

I did. We were in a janky bar, like, three o' clock in the morning. This guy Toto was showing us around. He was like, yo, we gotta find. We gotta find a place to watch the game. So we're in with Casablanca, three o' clock in the morning at a bar. And there's a huge mural in the. In the. I don't want to give too much of the show, but there's a huge mural in the back of the bar. Derrick Rose in Casablanca.

02:07:50

That's awesome.

02:07:50

I'm like, holy. And then we figure it out. We get to watch the game. Gators win. It's just.

02:07:55

It was. It was a tense game, too.

02:07:57

Hell of a game.

02:07:58

Oh, man.

02:07:59

Gator boys, man. Still hot, man. It's beautiful to watch.

02:08:02

Yeah.

02:08:02

They're back up. So you went to the Bulls game last night? We were talking about it for a second. Just explain to us, as someone who played so long in the NBA, Wemby, that. How do you. I guess that's my question. How do you.

02:08:16

How do you.

02:08:17

How do you.

02:08:18

How do you stop?

02:08:19

Well, we're seeing something that we've never seen before.

02:08:22

Yeah.

02:08:22

And we. We better appreciate what this is. You know, usually 7 foot 5. You think of Big doofy clanky. Guys who can barely tie their shoes. This guy's in and out. Crossover. Step back. Hitting threes to win the game.

02:08:36

He had two threes in the last minute to win the game.

02:08:39

Look for a guy to. Right after season.

02:08:44

What were you.

02:08:44

If you were an NBA player, what would you be doing right after season?

02:08:47

I'd probably go to Tibet and, like, live in a monastery for a while. Yeah, that's kind of weird.

02:08:51

Like, that I would fuck around hard.

02:08:54

What'd he do?

02:08:54

Hard? Yeah, hard.

02:08:56

Drinking brewskis, beer pong. The whole thing. No, this guy's hanging out with the monks. Look, I don't know what happened over there, but he looks real comfortable with the ball in his hands right now. Like, okay, he hits the two threes, but I think that the mindset changed. He's also. He's dunking on. Like, he's not. He's.

02:09:15

He.

02:09:15

Like, when I first met him, he used to dunk it, like, so light. Like, it was like. He was almost, like, embarrassed to be 7 foot 5. Now it's like, yo, he's monkey dunking on everybody. He's like, yo. I mean, thank God it's over, because I wouldn't want to guard a guy.

02:09:31

Yeah, so how do you. But, like, how do you. You guard a guy like that? And also, I have a very bad take. I'll just say it out loud because you can laugh at me. I think I could probably give him a problem just, like, bodying him a little bit.

02:09:43

Like, how.

02:09:44

Just a little bit more weight than him.

02:09:47

Back him down.

02:09:48

Get it?

02:09:48

Get inside.

02:09:49

Yeah, I like it.

02:09:50

Really. Get up on him.

02:09:51

I like it when you. I like it when you talk that like that. I like it when you talk like that.

02:09:54

Any guy who's skinnier than me, doesn't matter if they're a foot taller than me. I'm like, like, actually, he's a foot and a half taller than me. Like, yeah, dude, if he. If I just threw a couple bows on him, he probably wouldn't. He wouldn't want to come in the painting.

02:10:05

He might outweigh you, but how much does he weigh?

02:10:08

He's probably like, what, 230.

02:10:10

All right. No, he doesn't.

02:10:13

I mean, that's. I don't know, man. The. The way this. Every game I'm seeing, like, I've never seen that before.

02:10:19

Yeah.

02:10:20

You know?

02:10:20

Like, is there a weak. Like, I don't. I don't really understand because, like, V obviously was doing his best or trying his hardest, but it's it's just, I don't know how you. A guy who has that type of range and then he'll take one dribble and from the three point line, he'll be at the hoop.

02:10:34

At the hoop, elbow in the rim.

02:10:36

Yeah.

02:10:36

236 is what he weighs.

02:10:38

Okay, so I do.

02:10:39

So.

02:10:39

Yeah.

02:10:42

What about on the defensive side with him? Like, obviously he's one of the best shot blockers in the league already, but the shots that he alters, other shots that don't get taken.

02:10:52

Yeah.

02:10:52

What's that got to be like on offense, going up against a guy that's just. He's able to swat everything. Like how. How do you attack? How do you even think about attacking? The key.

02:11:00

I mean, it's hard. It's easier to talk about it now that I'm not playing, but it looks like every time somebody throws, like a little floater or anything soft around the rim, he's going to get that. So, I mean, I think you really gotta go at his chest, you know?

02:11:18

That's right.

02:11:19

You really got. I didn't know you were a Hooper like that.

02:11:23

I made 13 in front of you. Oh, I am. We talked about it before. I was teammates with Matt Walsh and Donnie on the TBT team.

02:11:33

Yeah, that was a hell of a time.

02:11:34

That was a hell of a time.

02:11:35

You want to talk about it?

02:11:36

We, I think. Have we. I can't remember if we talked about it and then cut it or. I don't remember.

02:11:42

I did. We definitely talked about it.

02:11:44

I don't know if we cut it or not.

02:11:45

Yeah, I don't know.

02:11:45

I think we did all right. Yeah. You. Let's say Joe Keem is, is the best. If Joe Keem tells you not to leave his apartment, you don't leave his apartment. Great host. 12 hot chicks.

02:11:55

Great host. Great host. I wasn't even there.

02:11:58

He wasn't even there. He wasn't even in the city. He said, Give me 20 minutes. Boom. Bunch of chicks just showed up. Like, Joe Keem told us, come over. Over.

02:12:07

I mean, Donnie was like, yo, it's, it's guy heavy over here. Like, can you just like help us out? And I'm like looking at all my Chicago numbers and I'm looking at my eyes like, three girls gone wild. Chicago.

02:12:20

I'm like, perfect.

02:12:24

Oh, the ratio is off call.

02:12:26

Yeah.

02:12:26

Noah, he's a ratio fixer.

02:12:29

That's a fact.

02:12:30

I'm happy I could help. Yeah, I'm very proud of that.

02:12:32

And it was your, your apartment too. That was the funniest part. You're just like, yeah, you guys just party at my apartment. So you. You're. You're now doing stuff with the polls. How many. How many times you be back this year?

02:12:42

Five times.

02:12:43

Okay, five games. All the Derrick Rose nights. A lot of bobblehead nights.

02:12:47

That's a big, big night, but I know. Come on. That's. That's our championship.

02:12:50

That's gonna be a big, big night.

02:12:52

You know, like, right next to mj. It's. It's like going up, up there. It's.

02:12:56

It's.

02:12:56

It hits a little different.

02:12:57

Yeah.

02:12:58

You know, when you. When your name is next to mj, big shout out to. To Pooh, man. Like, we're. We're all gonna be there supporting him always. He's the best.

02:13:07

How good is he getting at chess?

02:13:10

He plays a lot.

02:13:10

I feel like I see every video. He's playing chess.

02:13:13

He loves chess, man. He's. He'll play chess all day. I'm more of a backgammon guy, to be honest.

02:13:18

Okay.

02:13:18

But, you know, just proud of him, man. It's like, you retire, you're trying to invite, you know, invest in. Invest your time in that you love, you know, and that's. That's. That's what he loves. He's a big chess guy.

02:13:28

Yeah. Yeah.

02:13:29

That's very cool. Do you. Do you keep in touch with a lot of former teammates? I could see you being, like, a friend, like, off. If I. If I spent years playing with you, I could see you being an easy guy to, like, maintain that. That long relationship with.

02:13:42

I think it's important, you know, when you. When you retire, like, all you have are your memories and. And your friendships. So I don't take that for granted. Just being able to be there for the guys, like, talk about the good old days. I think. You know, I think that's important. So I always make sure that I keep my relationships close.

02:14:02

Do you reach out to any of the young players?

02:14:05

Noah Senge, you know, he's from. From Cameroon. Young, young guy. Got to spend a little time with him.

02:14:10

Can you talk to Billy and be like, hey, just play him. Billy's not gonna play rookies.

02:14:14

He.

02:14:15

He.

02:14:15

He doesn't. He wouldn't. He wouldn't listen to me. He wouldn't listen to me. Listen to me. Especially now he's in the hall of Fame and stuff. You can't tell him.

02:14:23

Yeah, he's got it all.

02:14:24

What's going on in France? Because I feel like there have been a lot of really Great basketball players, young basketball like Alexander Saar, obviously. Wimby, like a lot of great players coming out of France recently. What's, what's changed over there?

02:14:36

I think it started with Tony. You know, Tony's run definitely inspired a whole generation out there. And you know, this is the next generation and they believe that they can win. They won a Euro championship and, and he won a lot of NBA championships and you know, the games are at 3 o' clock in the morning. But you know, basketball is part of the culture now and the system is different. You know, pro teams have teams that for 8 year old teams and 10 year old teams and some. So you get to see you go to the pro games for free. But it's, you know, you can be proud. You wearing the same jersey.

02:15:18

Yeah.

02:15:18

With the pro team.

02:15:19

That's very cool.

02:15:20

Yeah, it is crazy. It feels like, it feels like we're getting very close to France beating the US and some of these Olympics coming up.

02:15:29

I mean, Wemby, you got to stop that guy.

02:15:32

Yeah. They might have to put me on the team.

02:15:36

Yeah.

02:15:37

Get physical, get real physical.

02:15:38

You just need to have all the, the outside shooters.

02:15:40

Yeah.

02:15:41

Just like make, make some Curry clones. It's just.

02:15:44

What. Can we talk about what Curry did though? That, that was nuts in the Olympics.

02:15:49

What? Yeah, I mean, he's just, he's just insane. Like a guard his size. Size shouldn't still be doing what he's doing. They don't last that long like guards his size. And he's just, it's, it's crazy that he's this old and he's doing it.

02:16:02

It's unreal. Yeah, I love it.

02:16:04

He's. And he's such a joy to watch. Like, it's just, just he. Do you think, do you, do you. The take out there that like he ruined basketball because all the AAU kids are now just chucking up threes?

02:16:15

I mean, there's only one step.

02:16:17

Yeah, that's true.

02:16:17

You know, there's only one step he. And he did.

02:16:20

Yeah.

02:16:20

To some extent. You know, it's like you get a steal, like go get a layup. I know you're shooting a three, you know, but it's the name of three is worth more than two.

02:16:29

Yeah. Yeah.

02:16:30

It was great being able to root for him in the Olympics too.

02:16:32

Too.

02:16:33

Like, is that all these fans out there, they hate Steph Curry because he's, he's taken away joy from them. He's won championships. It's like this guy. But then now you get to actually Root for the guy in the Olympics and watch him go out there and just three everybody to death. It was awesome. It was great. It was such a joyful experience seeing Steph Curry wearing, like, the, the USA Jersey be like, that's my guy for once.

02:16:54

I, I, I still cried because I was for friends, so.

02:16:58

Oh, were you really one?

02:17:01

Huh?

02:17:02

Were you really?

02:17:03

I'm French.

02:17:04

Yeah.

02:17:04

Yeah.

02:17:05

So, you know, no love for the U. S. Olympic team? No, I kind of respect that. I respect that. I think a lot of guys would be like, you know, I, I root for, you know, I root for the USA in the Olympics, too.

02:17:17

Yeah.

02:17:17

I respect, like, I'm, I'm more of a underdog guy that's, I'm rooting for, you know, if, if Haiti played USA I'm for Haiti, and I'm not Haitian.

02:17:28

Yeah.

02:17:28

You know, because I just know what it would do for the people, you know, I went to for the, for the World Cup. Last World Cup, Cameroon played Brazil. And my wife is from, from Brazil, and I'm from Cameroon. She's talking shit the whole time. No African team will ever beat Brazil. 90th minute, Abubakar scores the fucking goal. We didn't qualify to get to the next round. It was, it was a nothing game for Brazil. But what it meant for the people in Cameroon to beat Brazil.

02:18:00

You're right.

02:18:00

Come on, man.

02:18:01

Yeah. Yeah.

02:18:02

It's the shit. So if you like underdogs, what about this next world cup? If USA Plays against France? You're gonna be rooting for team USA Right?

02:18:11

I don't think USA could ever be.

02:18:13

Underdog in any sport.

02:18:17

Look, look, soccer.

02:18:18

Soccer for sure.

02:18:20

I just feel like the soccer fans, the u. S. Soccer fans, like, it's like the way they cheers, like, it's so cool. It's like, I believe that we will run. I mean, like, a whole crowd that we will win.

02:18:34

Like, what the Is that?

02:18:36

Yeah, No, I agree.

02:18:37

Yeah. When you say it like that, it doesn't sound so cool.

02:18:39

Yeah. And they've got their scarves, but their scarves are. They're not, like, cool scarves that mean anything.

02:18:44

We're bad at chance.

02:18:44

Yeah.

02:18:45

I don't want to sound like, like, unpatriotic or anything, but.

02:18:49

No, this happened with the Ryder Cup. Like, you just see there's, there's, you know, a few hundred European fans, and they're just doing chance. So much better than so much better. Thousands of Americans. We got to get better.

02:19:01

We got to get better. Chance.

02:19:03

Yeah. We're just bad at chance. Have you talked to Tibs at all?

02:19:07

I talked recently.

02:19:08

How's he doing?

02:19:09

Tibs? You know, he says he's good. I think he misses the game.

02:19:16

Yeah, well, he's. That's his.

02:19:18

That's his life.

02:19:18

That's it.

02:19:19

That's his life. But, you know, people. You know, I think. I mean, he's all right. You know, I think he's. He doesn't have to worry about, you know, missing a meat. He's not gonna miss a meal or anything.

02:19:29

He's.

02:19:31

He's safe in that way. But, you know, I think he misses the game. He wants to be back in basketball because this is his life, man. But, you know, I think it's a tough, tough situation. Like, the Knicks were awesome last year, and. And. And you get fired. I think it's. I feel for him.

02:19:49

Yeah.

02:19:49

But. But I think he'll be back.

02:19:51

Can you give him a little tip for when he does come back? Because he will come back. He's a great coach. He should go to Turkey and get his hair redone.

02:19:59

Yeah.

02:20:00

Before he gets back. Then. He's just the new Tibbs.

02:20:03

I'll go with him.

02:20:04

Yeah.

02:20:04

I'll go with him.

02:20:05

Yeah. Do the travel show.

02:20:06

That'd be awesome.

02:20:06

Listen, we have. We have guys here who do the.

02:20:10

They.

02:20:10

They. They took a bunch of guys, bald guys, to Turkey for a trip to get it, so. And they made a whole travel show out.

02:20:16

That's. That's cool.

02:20:16

Yeah.

02:20:17

I didn't even know he was going bald. Tibs.

02:20:22

He does that joke every time, and it gets me every time.

02:20:24

It's a good joke.

02:20:24

It's a good day. Like, after. After a game, it's like, I. I feel like Tibs might be going bald.

02:20:30

There's a.

02:20:31

There's a lot of.

02:20:32

We.

02:20:33

We're all part of that family. We need to get our hair. There's. There's a whole community of us.

02:20:38

Yeah. You know, you got it.

02:20:40

And did you go to Turkey?

02:20:42

No. No, I went to. To Boston.

02:20:44

To Boston?

02:20:44

Yeah. Same direction.

02:20:46

Same direction.

02:20:47

Just didn't go across the ocean. Yeah.

02:20:48

And. And did your forehead, like. Did you do the staples? Like, did you get the. The swelling on your forehead? Crazy.

02:20:54

No, the swelling wasn't too bad. I. I could even, like, wear a hat when I got out of there. So it was. It was pretty easy, actually. Turkey. Yeah. But I have seen guys that have to, like, they. They gotta go hat off. Just let it breathe for, like, what, three weeks?

02:21:07

Yeah.

02:21:07

And that with the scabs. That doesn't look so Great. It's real if you do it that way. But yeah, tips to Turkey would be. I would watch that.

02:21:14

You would watch that?

02:21:14

Oh, absolutely. I'd be incredible.

02:21:16

You guys are giving me great ideas. By the way, Cleveland tips to Turkey.

02:21:20

Anything else? Milwaukee for Giannis?

02:21:23

Yep. Yeah. Just. Just a video of him traveling.

02:21:25

Traveling.

02:21:25

What about cold places? Do you fuck with the cold?

02:21:27

Cold?

02:21:28

Who do you with the cold? Just like cold weather.

02:21:30

Cold weather? Yeah.

02:21:31

Like, would you go to Alaska? Would you go to. I would love to go to, like, the Arctic Circle.

02:21:35

Yeah. But the thing is, it has to have a basketball aspect to it.

02:21:39

Yeah.

02:21:39

Okay.

02:21:39

You know, so I don't know how much basketball they're playing in in Alaska, but maybe. Maybe there's a hoop we can train.

02:21:46

Right? Yeah, yeah.

02:21:49

Interesting.

02:21:49

Yeah, those. Duke guy, I think I feel like Duke had a couple guys.

02:21:53

Was. No, Boozer wasn't. Yeah, he was. Yeah, he was. Yeah, Boozer was.

02:21:58

Yeah, that's right.

02:21:58

Okay, so there's a. There's a hoop community out there.

02:22:00

Yeah.

02:22:01

Okay.

02:22:01

By the way, there was a moment last night, Monday Night Football, where a player almost. He, like, cheered and he almost hit the ref. And I said right away. I was like, booze, I think. Were you in. I think you might have been injured during that. Were you there for that?

02:22:18

How do you remember that?

02:22:19

Because, well, I went and pulled it up and I obviously didn't see you on the court, but then I was like, yeah, I feel like. Like Joe Keem was out for a little bit at the end of that year.

02:22:25

Yeah, I was out.

02:22:26

But were you there? Were you traveling with the team?

02:22:28

Yeah, I think I was just. I was in the back. What.

02:22:31

What did everyone say after he punched the guy in the nuts after the game? We were like, holy, dude. You hit a ref in the nuts.

02:22:38

That was crazy.

02:22:39

You probably didn't think this.

02:22:39

I thought the ref took it pretty well.

02:22:41

Yeah, he did.

02:22:41

He took it pretty well. Like, if that was me, I would. It would have been. I would have been out for season. Yeah.

02:22:46

Oh, also full circle Boozer. All time hair guy. Yeah, all time with the best. When he had the. When he. When he did the real spray on. We. Do you guys like, hey, we. We know.

02:22:59

Yeah. It was probably one of the funniest moments when he pulled up to practice with that. It was nuts. I was like, who let you leave the barbershop like that? You know? But look at the end of the day, that's my guy.

02:23:12

Yeah. And his sons. Are you watching them?

02:23:15

Holy shit.

02:23:16

Yeah, it's crazy.

02:23:17

I saw him in the mall not long ago, and he is a fucking tank. This guy's like this. Yeah, it.

02:23:25

That was, like, a big, I feel old moment when Carlos Boozer's sons are now in college and, like, dominating, getting buckets. I remember, like, watching when they were, like, little chubby kids, like, playing AU on his Instagram, like, right. Nine years ago. Oh, I am.

02:23:39

That's.

02:23:40

That's crazy.

02:23:40

Yeah.

02:23:41

I remember when he used to poke. Post them playing basketball.

02:23:43

Yeah.

02:23:44

Booze. What a soldier. He's up in the morning with the aau, like, okay, Booze. Good dad. Yeah.

02:23:49

Yeah.

02:23:49

Now it all makes sense.

02:23:50

Yeah, now it all makes sense.

02:23:51

Do you. Do you get to watch a lot of basketball, like, now in the NBA? It's November. It's early. But are you watching basketball, like, every night? Are you, like, focus on the. On the Bulls or what?

02:24:01

I'm watching. I'm watching basketball.

02:24:03

You're back.

02:24:03

It took me a while.

02:24:04

Yeah, yeah, you said that last time. You're on there. You didn't watch basketball for, like, a couple years.

02:24:08

Yeah, I'm back. I'm back watching.

02:24:10

Who's your favorite. Who's your favorite guy right now to watch Wemby?

02:24:14

It's.

02:24:14

I mean, all right, take out Wemby, take out Steph. Give us a name of someone that you're, like, people aren't respecting his game enough.

02:24:23

I mean, I love Amon Thompson.

02:24:27

Yeah.

02:24:28

Amon Thompson's is a. You know, people say, oh, defense. There's no defense yet. Watch him play defense. Defense. If you like defense. And then, like, you can't deny, like, what Luca's doing right now. Yeah, I think that's a really interesting thing they got going on.

02:24:43

Yeah, they're.

02:24:44

They're 8 and 3 bronze. Not in yet. Does Braun screw it up or make it better?

02:24:50

There's just one ball, though.

02:24:51

Yeah, there's only one.

02:24:52

There's only one ball.

02:24:54

It's.

02:24:54

But it's. It's a different pressure now. Yeah, it's not. You're not the. You're not the number one option. Option it. Number two.

02:25:02

It's not. He might be three.

02:25:05

No, no, it's. Chill, chill, chill.

02:25:08

You gotta get Austin reef shots.

02:25:10

Yeah, he's good.

02:25:10

So game on the line.

02:25:11

You.

02:25:12

You give Austin Reeves. Yeah. Luca passes to Austin, Reeves, and then Ali.

02:25:18

There's a lot of great white hope going on over here.

02:25:21

Well, the great white hopes.

02:25:23

I was. I was gonna say Dalton connect.

02:25:25

Yeah. So, yeah, everybody touches three, man weave.

02:25:29

Yeah. We get Steve Blake back There. I feel like he's got some minutes left. Who else?

02:25:37

Who.

02:25:37

Also the great white hopes.

02:25:39

Cooper.

02:25:39

Flag. Flag.

02:25:40

Big Koopa.

02:25:41

Yeah.

02:25:41

Yeah. He's. He's been awesome.

02:25:43

He's an American. White.

02:25:45

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

02:25:46

The great white hope has to be an American.

02:25:48

Well, that was. He was the first American to go. American. White guy to go 11 since, like the 70s. So he's it.

02:25:55

I mean, Duncan Robinson still doing his thing.

02:25:58

Yeah. Duncan Robinson on the. On the Pistons now.

02:26:01

Yeah.

02:26:02

Filling it up.

02:26:03

What do you think about the Rockets? The Rockets are still like a big question mark to me.

02:26:07

I really like the Rockets. I think that guy Shangoon is a. He's a problem. Then you got a Thompson. The only. The problem is that their point guard getting hurt.

02:26:19

Yeah.

02:26:20

Really hurt him. You know, it's just. But what I like about them is last year I felt like they were good enough to beat the Warriors. It was just like, game on the line, who's taking the last shot?

02:26:32

Yeah.

02:26:32

Now you got kd. There's no question anymore who's taking the last shot.

02:26:36

In the playoffs, it seemed like nobody wanted to take the last shot for him. Yeah, it was. Yeah. They didn't know how to score down the stretch. KD is a good way to fix that. But what about with the Thunder? Because I feel like a lot of people don't like watching the Thunder, but they're undeniably great.

02:26:49

Yeah. Like Alex.

02:26:51

Yeah. Alex Caruso. Great player.

02:26:53

We just only ask about white guys.

02:26:54

He's Italian.

02:26:56

He's another great white hope.

02:26:57

He is. And we love Crusoe and good friend of ours.

02:27:00

They got.

02:27:00

Know him well, too.

02:27:01

Let's be fair. They've got a couple of MVP candidates. They got Caruso. They've got chat.

02:27:06

Another great white hole.

02:27:08

Yeah, another great.

02:27:10

These guys can play.

02:27:11

Jeez, man. But do you like to that question, like, does it bother you? You know, the whole foul merchant thing. I. I mean, Shay's still just awesome.

02:27:20

He's balling. Yeah. It's interesting.

02:27:23

So the coach.

02:27:25

Mark. What Mark? He's awesome. So he was in Florida, so I used to work out with him 20, 15 years ago at UF. And now he's the head coach winning it. Won a championship. Most humble guy. I was like. I saw him at Coach Donovan's ceremony for the. For hall of Fame. Yeah. And so humble about. I was like, yo, did you. Did you celebrate well? Did you. How was it for you? And he's like, you know, I. I didn't celebrate enough at all. He's Like, I just right on to the next. I was like, jesus, man. These guys are so, so serious now. It's not even about celebrating anymore. They couldn't even open the bottles of champagne.

02:28:10

I know.

02:28:11

It's crazy.

02:28:11

You gotta just go crazy.

02:28:12

You gotta go for one.

02:28:14

Yeah.

02:28:14

I would have give up my left nut for a champion just for that party.

02:28:17

Yeah. Yeah.

02:28:18

You know.

02:28:19

Oh, that would have been a great party. There would have been a lot of footage out of your party.

02:28:26

Yeah, I mean, yeah, there would be. I feel like that's something that's kind of taken hold more in sports, is that they don't really cut loose as much as they used to.

02:28:35

Yeah, it's hard, man. It's like everybody got their phones out. You can't. You know, if the guys go out, it's like the whole world knows. They were at this bar last night. It's like, it wasn't like that when we were growing.

02:28:47

But you said. You said it last time you were on. Or maybe this time before that, like, being great is boring. And that's the part that people kind of miss is that, like, you to be a great basketball player, to be a great professional athlete, you got to do a lot of boring stuff and be in a routine that's for most people would just be like, this is boring. Yeah.

02:29:05

So it's like you guys, you know, you guys got to wake up at 7am now. You got your show on Fox, you know, that's. You can't get lit how you used to, you know?

02:29:13

Yeah, that's for other reasons, but. Yeah, I can't get lit for days.

02:29:19

I occasionally get crazy.

02:29:20

Yeah.

02:29:21

Sometimes you just got to get like, a little lit on, like, a Friday. But. Yeah. No, you're right. Like, we don't.

02:29:26

Don't.

02:29:26

I think people a lot of times think that me and Big Cat go out and party all the time.

02:29:29

Yeah.

02:29:30

Especially if we're at, like, the super bowl and we're on the road when.

02:29:34

Josh Allen wins the mvp.

02:29:35

Yeah. Then you have to celebrate. Like you said, you got to celebrate some of the important things. Right.

02:29:40

And.

02:29:40

But that's one thing we probably should do better at is celebrating more. Josh Allen.

02:29:44

Yeah.

02:29:44

Josh Allen won the mvp, is a good friend of ours. We went and got out with him and we took a picture with Josh after he won the mvp. And let's just say my eyeballs were very large and everyone had had to make sure they let me know. But listen, Josh Allen won the mvp. What are you gonna do?

02:29:59

You gotta celebrate that.

02:30:01

You Gotta celebrate. That's all it's about.

02:30:03

Celebrate the small things.

02:30:04

You gotta celebrate your, like, you know, your friend's accomplishments even more than yours or just have any. Any reason to celebrate.

02:30:12

That's beautiful.

02:30:12

Yeah. When a friend wins an important trope, my heart gets racing. Yeah. You know, Exactly. Yeah. Real fast.

02:30:17

Fast.

02:30:18

I could come up with a shitload of business ideas.

02:30:19

My palm starts sweating a little bit. Yeah, it's pretty good. I got a nosebleed. I was so excited.

02:30:29

Oh, man, Joe, we love having you here, man.

02:30:32

This is.

02:30:33

It's always great seeing you. Everyone go check out the show. NBA T2. It's on the YouTube. So the first episode's out now with. With Derek. And then when's episode two coming?

02:30:44

That's a great question.

02:30:45

Next week.

02:30:45

Next week. All right, I'm.

02:30:47

You guys get Morocco. Come on, man. Guys, show me some love, man. Get crunk and watch my show. Stop playing Nomad.

02:30:52

Yeah, yeah. Like, before you leave your. Your house today, put it on and have it be on replay and just walk away.

02:31:00

Exactly.

02:31:00

Yeah.

02:31:01

Sticky man.

02:31:02

Yeah.

02:31:02

Can you give me one, like, Chicago thing? What. What did you learn when you did the Chicago travel show? Like, any. Anywhere that you went? Anything I should check out?

02:31:11

I went to, like, this blue spot. That was awesome. What was the name of it?

02:31:16

Oh, did make the final cut. You went to Mr. Beef, though?

02:31:19

Mr. Beef was awesome.

02:31:20

Yeah.

02:31:21

I didn't know about Mr. Mr. Beef, so I went to go have a sandwich over there. The guys were awesome.

02:31:26

Yeah.

02:31:26

You know, it's passed down from. I think it was the. The. A father and now the son is running it. But they actually. There was a show.

02:31:35

Yeah, the. The Bear. Bear.

02:31:36

The Bear, yeah.

02:31:37

Yeah.

02:31:37

And they went from, like, selling 60 sandwiches a day to selling, like, 600 sandwiches from the show.

02:31:45

Good for.

02:31:45

Love it. I love it.

02:31:46

Was that Blues place. Was that Kingston Mines?

02:31:50

No, it wasn't Kingston Mines.

02:31:53

I love that.

02:31:53

Yeah.

02:31:54

All right, last question. Rollback question. Rho b a-k.com promo code. Take 20 off your first purchase. Q, zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts. Roback.com promo code.

02:32:03

Take.

02:32:03

Give me one minute on these bowls this year. I'm sure you've talked to Billy a little. They're fun. It's early. Do you. Do you even does November basketball? Are you like. We gotta wait and see?

02:32:14

I'm impressed how competitive basketball is.

02:32:16

Right? Okay.

02:32:17

You know, I watch the games. The guys are into it. What I like about what? Something very underrated about sports in general. People always Underestimate chemistry. You know, we could talk about stats and the star player and this and that, but when you enjoy playing with somebody, I think those guys, look, there's eight guys scoring 10 points on the Bulls. I think those guys just. They know if you're open, you're gonna get the ball. Yeah, it's. It's as simple as that. And they're winning ball games off of it, and they have no big star players. And Josh Giddey, like, everybody was on him, like, oh, he's getting paid too much money, this and that. Yo, the kids balling.

02:32:55

Yeah, it's been incredible. You're so right about chemistry because it's, it's. Especially in basketball, like, you know, baseball is an individual sport. Football, yes, there's chemistry, but there's 53 guys. Basketball, you can tell when a team has chemistry and when a team knows where the other guy's gonna be. And, like, it's beautiful when it works.

02:33:13

It's beautiful.

02:33:14

Yeah.

02:33:14

And Coach diamond is good at getting the guys, you know, getting guys going. So I'm. I'm really proud of the guys. I don't think every. Anybody thought they were going to be, what, seven and three or.

02:33:24

Yeah. Start five, zero.

02:33:25

Yeah.

02:33:26

Had a little bit of a hiccup, but I mean, losing to Wemby when he's just whapping threes in your face, it's not like a shameful thing.

02:33:32

It's not.

02:33:33

It was crazy.

02:33:33

Hurts.

02:33:34

It was crazy watching him do it. I don't know how unstoppable.

02:33:37

Trey ball. Get that out of here. Block. Get the ball back.

02:33:41

Give me the ball.

02:33:41

Give me the ball.

02:33:42

Hang.

02:33:42

Hung.

02:33:43

Trey ball again. Be out of here.

02:33:45

That's exactly what happened.

02:33:46

Good.

02:33:47

That was. If you missed the game. That was the last minute of the game.

02:33:50

And then he goes back. He doesn't even get hype. He's like a real. Like the Monk is real.

02:33:55

Yeah, it's concerning. It's concerning.

02:33:59

You talk French to him.

02:34:01

I mean, obviously.

02:34:03

Yeah, yeah. So that's. That's gotta kind of feel cool because everyone's trying to talk to Wemby and then you can just slide in and just be like. Just hit him with some French.

02:34:09

Well, it's not. I don't talk to him too. That much.

02:34:12

No, but like, did you see him last night?

02:34:13

Yeah, I saw him. So, no, I didn't. I didn't get to see him yesterday. I was talking to him and he said he. He went down.

02:34:20

He said, put it. What you say we could talking to Mike.

02:34:23

So I stand up. I. I'm standing up. I see Wemby and hang on.

02:34:30

I'm going to hold the mic for you.

02:34:32

Got it? We got this.

02:34:34

All right.

02:34:34

This is me.

02:34:35

All right. Joe Keem's. Wait, you're Wemby right now? This is.

02:34:37

This is me.

02:34:38

Am I wimy?

02:34:38

Okay, wait, I'm talking. I'm like, yeah, was a great guy. He goes, what did you say?

02:34:44

To look down at you.

02:34:45

Look down on me. Like, I was like, holy. Nobody's ever done that before. Anyway, thank you.

02:34:50

That was awesome. That was great.

02:34:52

That was awesome.

02:34:53

Joe Keem, you're the best. Everyone go watch his show, NBAT2 on YouTube anytime you're around.

02:34:58

Nomad.

02:34:59

Nomad, Nomad, Nomad. Go watch it.

02:35:03

Jokim no is brought to you by Morgan and Morgan. If you've ever stood at the top of a towering water slide, heart pounding, and asked yourself, what's the worst that could happen? One visitor found out the hard way. What was supposed to be a thrilling day at a popular Florida water attraction ended in a life altering injury while riding one of the park's fastest slides. He was violently thrown from his tube landing hard and suffering injuries that still affect him nearly four years later. That's when he turned to a law firm known for standing up to the biggest names in the business. The suit claims that the slide's design, coupled with a lack of clear safety, communication and oversight, created a hazardous environment, especially for guests outside certain body specifications. Now this guest is living with permanent pain, scarring, and a drastically diminished quality of life, all from what was supposed to be a routine thrill ride. Because when safety isn't the top priority, fun can turn into something else entirely. And if you run a situation like this, Morgan. Morgan is who you call. They're America's largest injury law firm. Over $25 billion recovered.

02:36:05

They've been fighting for the people for over 35 years, helping over 500, 000 clients get the compensation they deserve. Hiring the wrong firm can be disastrous. Hiring the right firm could substantially increase your settlement with Morgan and Morgan. It's easy to get started and their fee is free. Unless they win, just visit forthepeople.compmt or dial pound law. £529. That's f o r the people.compmt this is a paid advertisement.

02:36:31

Okay, let's wrap up the show with FAQs. Henry.

02:36:36

What's up, boys? Larry from Wisconsin here.

02:36:38

Hey, Larry.

02:36:40

Just circling back on pft, passing the bar. What's the update on that guy?

02:36:45

Like me. Oh, a guy like me that likes beer. I never pass a bar. I go right in. Yeah, no, I think, yeah, I could pass the bar. I know Kim Kardashian. She failed the bar exam.

02:36:57

Well, so the question. I think what Larry is asking is, I agree. You could pass the bar. Will you pass the bar? Is really the question.

02:37:05

If there's. If there's some upside in it.

02:37:08

Well, yeah.

02:37:09

Representing and helping.

02:37:10

What's the upside?

02:37:11

Solve the problem and feeling. Being a change you wish to see in the world.

02:37:14

Completing a task you said you could complete.

02:37:17

What would be the upside in that? Maybe get a job at Morgan and Morgan. Yeah, I don't know. I would. Yeah, I can.

02:37:22

I, I.

02:37:23

That's one thing. I have irrational confidence in myself to be able to pass the bar exam. I know it doesn't make any sense. I just think that if I. If I tried for, like, four months, is that how long it takes to be a lawyer?

02:37:34

I have no idea.

02:37:35

Like four. Yeah, you. You give me four months. I think I can. I can be a lawyer.

02:37:39

But will you try?

02:37:42

Yeah, okay. Yeah, yeah, no, that sounds good. I just got to think of what I would use my law degree for.

02:37:49

Well, I. No, I. I feel like it's more.

02:37:51

Will you just give up on this?

02:37:53

Yeah.

02:37:53

I think you should just say, hey, look, the. The law beat me.

02:37:55

See, Hank, this is exactly what happened last time. I started talking about how I could do it, and then. And then all the bikes were like, just don't do it.

02:38:01

No, I. I think you could, will you?

02:38:05

We're looking out for you. Yeah, by saying that you should not.

02:38:07

Try and do a lawyer. It would rock.

02:38:10

But you wouldn't be a lawyer.

02:38:12

I just sue everybody. I would sue you, man.

02:38:15

People go to law school for years.

02:38:16

And then fail the bar. Like, five.

02:38:18

I lived with my older brother, like. Like, he moved back home when he was at law school, and it looked like the most miserable thing on the planet. He just had bulletin boards all across, like, one room of our house.

02:38:29

It looked like Charlie Day.

02:38:30

Like, Charlie Day. It looked like Charlie Day.

02:38:32

Did he pass it on the first try?

02:38:33

He did pass it on the first.

02:38:34

Try, but like Claire Danes, he had.

02:38:37

No life for three years.

02:38:38

Yeah, but that's. If you go to law school. I'm talking about Jet. You can pass the bar exam without going to law school.

02:38:43

You could do anything.

02:38:44

Yeah, right. Again, can.

02:38:46

But I think that makes it like, going to law school helps you pass the bar.

02:38:50

No, that can't be true.

02:38:52

No.

02:38:53

Yeah, that's where they indoctrinate you. That's where they teach you all the, all the laws they want you to know. I, I, you know what? I want to go to law. I want to get my law thing. Whatever.

02:39:02

Why don't you start with just the else?

02:39:04

Morgan and Morgan, you.

02:39:05

Why don't you see where you, what you, what you get on the lsat, and then we can go from there, because that's one you could just take.

02:39:10

What about the PSATs?

02:39:11

That's, that's, that's two different tests that.

02:39:13

I'd have to do.

02:39:14

Right. But the bar, you'd have to probably study for Elsa. You could just be like, let's just see where we're at. I know.

02:39:20

I, I want to do the bar. I want to do the bar. And I want to. I want to sue espn, okay. For emotional distress. Class action lawsuit on behalf of America. And I will sue your least favorite general manager, too, when they do something up. Or your least favorite head coach. I think I can do it. What, Hank? What. What did you get? What was your upside if you could dunk.

02:39:40

Like, 20 grand or something.

02:39:41

Yeah, but he had a downside, too.

02:39:43

Yeah. Yeah, we can figure out a downside.

02:39:47

Okay. You got to go to jail, commit one crime.

02:39:50

Yeah.

02:39:51

You gotta go to. And you gotta get caught and go to jail, but you have to turn yourself in.

02:39:54

Yeah, I get to represent myself in court.

02:39:56

Well, no, that.

02:39:57

Just try to get out.

02:39:58

You pass the bar. If you don't pass the bar, you have to go to jail.

02:40:01

If you pass, you can represent yourself in.

02:40:03

In.

02:40:04

Oh, yeah.

02:40:04

Or without being a lawyer.

02:40:05

Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I will commit one crime and then turn yourself in with the possibility of jail time, turn myself in, and then represent myself in court. If I don't pass the bar exam.

02:40:16

That actually is just why police chase.

02:40:17

In the El Camino would go crazy.

02:40:19

It would go vibe.

02:40:20

Yeah.

02:40:20

It'd be good promo for the show. Like, we'll record some of the podcasts on the phone, and then we can put it out, like, the next day after.

02:40:27

Are we accomplices right now?

02:40:29

We don't know what.

02:40:31

Pending lawyer possibly.

02:40:33

Why don't you just. Hey, the bar. Why don't you just do this? Just. It's like the rogue bar. If you can defend yourself and get out of it, I'm going to consider you a lawyer.

02:40:43

Well, you're one and o. Yeah.

02:40:44

One and o.

02:40:45

Lifetime. Well, no. So I will, I will do that if I do not pass the bar exam.

02:40:50

I'm saying, like, don't even take the bar. Don't worry about the bar. Just prove that you can be a lawyer. No, that's committing a crime and then defending yourself and getting out of the crime.

02:40:58

I get it. That's a. That's a great idea. But that's the downside of the.

02:41:01

That's.

02:41:02

That's what I have to do. If I don't pass the bar, the.

02:41:05

Punishment is just having to prepare for the bar. That's terrible.

02:41:08

If I do pass the bar. 20 grand.

02:41:13

Yeah, you don't have to prepare for anything. You can just go straight to the league if you commit that crime. And then you got honorary bar studying.

02:41:19

Yeah, right.

02:41:20

I'm trying to think of, like, things I would want to do. That's. That's, like, at the very bottom of my list of, like, things that I would want to do. Do in my life. Try. And I'm thinking, like, run a marathon. I think I would rather run a marathon than. Than study for the bar.

02:41:35

Do you any test? Yeah, I don't want to take any test ever again in my life.

02:41:40

That's my biggest anxiety. Like, I have stress dreams when I'm stressed out. And it's always me back at school, like. Like walking into a final that I'm not prepared for. I have that dream all the time.

02:41:49

I have that all. Like, it goes back to high school.

02:41:51

So why are you, like, why do you want to do this?

02:41:54

He doesn't. I just thinks he can.

02:41:55

I just think that I can.

02:41:56

But, like, we're giving you an out. No one is saying that you have to do this.

02:42:00

No, but it's making me want Larry from.

02:42:01

Except Larry.

02:42:01

Larry.

02:42:02

Larry.

02:42:04

It's make me want to do it more. The more you guys tell me that I shouldn't.

02:42:07

Like, we're not even saying that you can't. We're just saying that this seems horrendous.

02:42:11

Better call solid burger. I feel like. No, now I kind of want to do it.

02:42:21

Do it.

02:42:21

I want to do it, and I want. And I'm going to use the law as just a weapon. I'm going to be such an lawyer.

02:42:26

Just want it on the record because I think Max and I are on the same page here. When. When you say we're saying you can't do it, we're not saying you can't do it. We're saying it's going to sound. It sounds miserable.

02:42:37

You're saying you shouldn't do it.

02:42:38

Yeah, you have better things to do with your life. But think we're not Doubting you. We are not in the doubters or the haters.

02:42:43

You want us to be doubt.

02:42:44

Yeah. You want. You're trying to put doubter on us. But we're not doubting you.

02:42:48

I just.

02:42:48

I. I just don't like how you guys are trying to talk me out of it.

02:42:50

But. But, but we're not. We're just saying it's gonna suck.

02:42:55

I'll show you.

02:42:56

Okay.

02:42:58

Now think. Think about all the stuff I could do if I had a logic.

02:43:01

Not really logic, like nothing.

02:43:02

No, I. I would threaten to sue all of our enemies all the time. You still do that?

02:43:08

Yeah.

02:43:08

Yeah.

02:43:09

Nothing in your life will change.

02:43:10

But then I could put three little letters behind my name and it would look more official in my emails. That's true. I could bill people I don't even know.

02:43:17

Is that true?

02:43:18

I don't know.

02:43:19

Yeah, probably.

02:43:20

I got a lot, I think. Yeah. Don't you still have to get a license?

02:43:26

There are some states where I think if you pass the bar exam, you're automatically licensed to practice. Yeah.

02:43:31

John, what about Illinois?

02:43:34

I talked to him like a year ago about it. I talked to the Morgan. He said. He said, yeah, let's get you on board.

02:43:41

Hell yeah. All right.

02:43:44

All right.

02:43:45

Thanks. Thanks, Larry.

02:43:46

Yeah. Yes, you need a license to practice law in Illinois.

02:43:48

In Illinois. Okay, maybe. Maybe like Cayman Island.

02:43:51

Now, PFT is going to be like commuting to Indiana every. Every week to. To practice his law.

02:43:57

Might just get a house in Gary.

02:43:59

Yeah. So, no, passing the bar in Illinois does not automatically make you a lawyer.

02:44:02

Okay.

02:44:03

So now there's really no reason you.

02:44:06

Must also pass the mpre. Have no idea what that is. Have it Character and Fitness Review. Cleared and worn in by the Supreme Court.

02:44:16

I beat you in golf, Hank. That.

02:44:17

That should go ready?

02:44:18

So.

02:44:19

Doesn't count. This is just misremembering of facts. Crazy.

02:44:24

Oh, can't.

02:44:25

Can't say I'm surprised. Just out of curiosity, does Hank still think soap doesn't do anything when you shower?

02:44:32

Oh.

02:44:32

As someone who once dated a guy who didn't use body wash, when he showered, he smelled like a dried up towel. Does Hank smell like that too?

02:44:39

You don't.

02:44:40

My take was that it's that body wash doesn't work on your armpits.

02:44:44

Yeah.

02:44:44

You remember that whole debate?

02:44:45

No, that was. Oh, that was a fair take.

02:44:47

That was. No, but that was one of the dumbest things I've ever gotten in. Yeah, you should.

02:44:53

It doesn't.

02:44:53

What do you mean? Were we doing this again?

02:44:56

Like if you use body wash on your armpits and you don't use deodorant, like. Well, yeah, your armpits still smell like, eventually.

02:45:02

Same with your ass.

02:45:04

You put deodorant on your.

02:45:05

No, I'm saying if you don't wash your ass. I'm saying there's parts of your body. Your feet. If you. If you wash your feet, that doesn't mean they won't start smelling.

02:45:13

You don't need to put deodorant on your ass. You don't need to put it on your head.

02:45:16

You probably should.

02:45:17

Yeah. If you were walking around with your ass cheeks spread wide wearing, like, a. A thong all day, then, yes, you would. Yeah.

02:45:23

If you have your shoes off and, like, yeah, they smell.

02:45:27

But body wash does get the smell off, correct?

02:45:30

Temporarily.

02:45:31

Yeah.

02:45:31

And I use body wash, so just.

02:45:35

Yeah, on your legs.

02:45:37

Wood, bro.

02:45:38

Not a big leg washer. I know that's a. Yeah, I didn't know stereotype, but I fall. I fall under that stereotype.

02:45:44

This came up on the Yak last week, and I was shocked that, like, people just don't wash their legs.

02:45:49

Yeah.

02:45:49

It takes two seconds to wash your leg.

02:45:51

I just, like, don't do it.

02:45:52

I understand that, but it doesn't. Like, I'm not. Not. I'm not, like, getting a loofah out and scrub my legs. I just squirt a bunch of soap. Do my upper body. Squirt some more soap. Rub my legs. Done.

02:46:03

You touch your toes, you go all the way down.

02:46:05

No, I don't touch.

02:46:06

Yeah, see? Yeah, I'll go down to the knee.

02:46:08

Washing the bottom of your feet is scary. Like, I do it sometimes. No, it is.

02:46:13

No, it is.

02:46:14

Max is right, because I did it this.

02:46:16

I did it this morning, and I was scared, like, because you get. Get the bottom of your feet gets soapy, and then you have to balance on the other one, and it's slippery.

02:46:25

I see what you're saying.

02:46:26

Yeah. When you have to, like, lift the leg up, too.

02:46:28

Yes.

02:46:28

And it's. It's the second one. So your. Your plant foot is slippery already.

02:46:32

Not do that anymore, Max.

02:46:33

Nobody has to. I got stinky feet.

02:46:36

Yeah.

02:46:39

People forget that PMT dropped 2 hit songs in the past. When are we getting the trilogy to drink paint? And it's chunky.

02:46:46

Let's see.

02:46:46

Was there not a third one?

02:46:48

Drink paint Bank. It's bank.

02:46:51

Okay, trilogy complete.

02:46:52

It's out now. Part of my take. Featuring Benny the Butcher. Butcher coming. And sass.

02:46:57

Yeah, actually, Boom. We did it.

02:47:00

Checkbox I Low Key think that at the bank was the best song.

02:47:03

Same.

02:47:04

I love. I like Drink Paint a lot.

02:47:06

Drink Paint was good.

02:47:07

I love Drink Paint in the Bayou.

02:47:11

Someone.

02:47:12

Someone made a remix, too. We have to put that at the end of the. The. The episode. Someone made a banger.

02:47:18

A Drink Pain remix.

02:47:20

It's just the Coacho stuff, right?

02:47:22

What was. What was the. What's the call to that? Drink Pain. That's great.

02:47:26

Drink Paint, get lit. Drink Paint.

02:47:29

That's my.

02:47:30

That music video. We taped part of it outside of Blake Bortle's house on the beach.

02:47:33

That's true. We recorded with Sunny Digital Y. And it's still the first two songs.

02:47:37

Yeah.

02:47:38

And then the third was with Benny the Butcher's guy up in Buffalo, and Benny and Aran Foster helped produce the track.

02:47:45

That's Drink Pain Getting lit. Drink Pain. That's my Drink Pain.

02:47:53

That's Grit. We. Maybe we'll do one this year.

02:47:55

We are.

02:47:57

We are going to do so for the longtime awls. They know this, but Grit Week used to be right before Memorial Day. And I think we might do that this year. We might do. We might go back to that. So that was during OTAs. So maybe we'll do a song. Maybe we can plan ahead.

02:48:15

I'm down.

02:48:16

We are doing that.

02:48:17

Yeah, we are doing that. But the song. I don't know.

02:48:19

Oh, yeah, yeah. Get Zach on the track. Zach. Zach.

02:48:23

Oh, Zach's got flow. I'm getting a lot of comments about Zach's Boomers. They're good.

02:48:28

That was. That was all Meek Mills.

02:48:30

Flow.

02:48:30

Just reciprocate or just reiterating it.

02:48:32

That's. That was his song.

02:48:34

Artistry.

02:48:34

Yeah. Yeah.

02:48:36

Big Cat and pft.

02:48:38

Yes.

02:48:39

Have you thought about how the show schedule may change once your children start competitive sports? Chris seems like he should be 16 by now.

02:48:49

I don't know.

02:48:49

No, I don't.

02:48:50

Chris has been four for a while.

02:48:51

Yeah.

02:48:52

I mean, my.

02:48:53

He's born a leap day.

02:48:54

My oldest is. I don't know if I'd call it competitive, but he plays sports. Like, I was at basketball practice last night.

02:49:02

What if he gets on the AAU circuit?

02:49:07

I don't know. Yeah, I guess. I don't answer the question.

02:49:10

No.

02:49:11

Yeah. We have not thought about it. It.

02:49:12

I. I recently got recruited to potentially be a T ball coach or Little League coach.

02:49:18

No, I. It's. T ball. Is. You don't want to do that.

02:49:24

Maybe. Maybe once Little League comes around.

02:49:26

Yeah, I've. I've thought about it because I. I do Want to coach my kids. But I, like I was at basketball practice last night. I'm not. We're not, we're not at a point where anything is sticking.

02:49:37

Every time I pass by like a kid pitch field where there's like an 8 year old or a 9 year old pitching, I'm always amazed that. That those games actually happen.

02:49:45

Yeah.

02:49:45

That they, that they proceed. That there's ever three outs in an inning.

02:49:50

Yeah, but the little, the little shout out all the coaches coaching kids that are like five, six years old. Because that's. It's tough. It's very tough. It's not coaching.

02:50:00

Coaching at any point. Like, you just listen. Listen to people. Yeah, all the time.

02:50:04

But there's definitely a sweet spot. Spot. It's like, like maybe that like 9, 10 range where it's not serious. But they actually, the kids actually know how to do stuff that sweet spot before it gets serious. But below seven, though, like, they don't.

02:50:19

They just.

02:50:20

You're not like teaching plays. You're just trying to figure out how.

02:50:23

To drip run in a straight line.

02:50:25

Yeah, right. Exactly.

02:50:27

Last one. What's up, PMT gang? Why do all of Max's friends get married during huge sports weekends? Oh, don't they know falls for football and playoff baseball?

02:50:36

Good question.

02:50:37

Because that bad friends. Every weekend's a huge sports weekend. When you're a Philly sports fan.

02:50:42

When you're not.

02:50:43

When you're.

02:50:43

When you're. When you're a sports nut. I don't.

02:50:47

I don't know that that's true though.

02:50:48

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to. I'm trying to think.

02:50:50

I think you just.

02:50:51

You, Your friends go to a lot of weddings.

02:50:53

I think your friends just get married a lot.

02:50:54

You just have too many friends.

02:50:56

I do. I do.

02:50:57

Your friends, a lot of really romantic dudes.

02:51:01

I will not be getting married over a huge sports weekend.

02:51:04

So trade deadline.

02:51:09

Hot dog eating contest.

02:51:10

Oh, yeah. We gotta. We gotta start planning our bachelor party.

02:51:15

Save some money on the catering. Maybe just get some dogs.

02:51:18

Yeah, yeah. We gotta start playing that bachelor party.

02:51:22

Which one?

02:51:23

Which?

02:51:23

Like the second and sixth one. One that we're gonna do. We're in for 1 and 2 and 6. 1, 3, 4, 5 are gonna be Max's own doing. We're just gonna. Hey, we're gonna get you married. I hate that so much. Let's get this girl married. Let's get you married.

02:51:46

Memes.

02:51:47

My people.

02:51:47

The worst. That is the worst. I don't know if that came up in our Mount Rush. But that might be the worst Instagram caption. Let's get these two married. You're not doing booked and getting drunk at a party. Let's get these two lovebirds married.

02:52:02

One person found their person. I have one more FAQ here. I don't know if Hank got this one. This is from Diana, New Jersey. Diana, New Jersey wants to know memes, have you ever gotten the lottery ball?

02:52:15

Oh, that's.

02:52:18

Wow.

02:52:18

She ever got a report, right?

02:52:20

Oh.

02:52:23

Did you and Shane make up?

02:52:25

We're fine.

02:52:27

Big baby.

02:52:29

That doesn't sound like you made up, Shane. Hey, Shane, are you and Memes okay? I don't know. Oh, okay. So, yeah, Sounds really good, guys. Sounds like we're in a good spot.

02:52:41

Yeah. I've reached the point where I want Memes to get it now for the.

02:52:44

I'm not there yet.

02:52:45

For our own personal.

02:52:46

No.

02:52:47

Yeah.

02:52:47

No, it actually is like. It's weirdly day to day for me. There'll be days where I'll want Memes to get it, and there's days where I'm like, nah, today's one of those.

02:52:54

Nah, I'm just. I don't want. I don't want Memes to get it, but I don't want to get it, because if you get it, you're. You are in a bad spot.

02:53:02

Yeah, he's a bully.

02:53:02

Means he's being a bully.

02:53:03

Mean. Like, you're a mean guy.

02:53:05

If you get it, no matter what you say, Memes hates you. Any. Any will make your life that more difficult.

02:53:11

I want you to get this.

02:53:14

To quote Ryan Whitney, he's a mean guy.

02:53:17

I'm a nice guy.

02:53:19

I'm getting picked on.

02:53:20

What do you mean?

02:53:20

I'm get. I'm getting picked on right now by all of you. Are we. Are you.

02:53:24

Are we just asking.

02:53:26

Piling on?

02:53:26

We're just asking questions.

02:53:27

How are we picking on you? You could just. How many get the lottery? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.

02:53:33

Jack.

02:53:33

Jack just refused to make eye contact there.

02:53:35

Yeah. Cuz you're a mean guy.

02:53:36

Yeah.

02:53:39

How are we picking on you? Just get the. Get the number.

02:53:42

02:53:43

02:53:45

I hope something bad happens.

02:53:49

I'll give you I hope something bad happens.

02:53:52

But he's not a mean guy.

02:53:53

That's a scary.

02:53:54

But he's not a mean guy. You could have three.

02:53:56

The crazy thing he actually.

02:53:57

I don't want it. I don't want it. I don't want it.

02:53:58

I don't want to take it.

02:53:59

All right, Hank, you want it?

02:54:00

Yeah, I would love it.

02:54:01

All right, I'll take 77.

02:54:02

It actually sounded like he meant to that when he was like, I hope something bad happens.

02:54:05

We just. He just said, I'm being picked on. I'm not a mean guy. And then he said, I hope something bad happens.

02:54:10

Memes. He's going to hire an Etsy witch.

02:54:12

Jeez, Memes.

02:54:13

I'm going to go 98, 61, 44.

02:54:24

02:54:28

02:54:38

What was your number? 48. Oh, 82. 82.

02:54:46

02:54:52

All right, I'll do 22.

02:54:53

I'll do 77.

02:54:55

02:55:01

Say.

02:55:02

No, you just said it. No, I didn't say it.

02:55:03

Max said it.

02:55:04

I said I'll take 77. I don't want three.

02:55:08

I'll take three. All right, there you go.

02:55:10

I actually don't want 48.

02:55:12

Yeah, 48 is a scary number. I don't want any. I don't want any.

02:55:15

Scariest number in there.

02:55:17

Yeah.

02:55:18

Oh, no.

02:55:19

Hey, just a heads up. If it is three, I'm just gonna go.
