This episode of The Parnas Perspective covers the reported replacement of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles by Stephen Miller, which Aaron Parnas presents as a major shakeup following heavy midterm losses for Republicans. It also examines the fallout for Elon Musk, including Texas incoming Governor Gina Inohosa's stance on his business dealings and calls in Congress for him to answer questions.
Parnas then speaks with Luke Radel outside the White House, who describes the move as a firing that elevates Miller and expects a more top-down, hardline approach. Listeners will hear competing views on what the leadership change means for the administration's direction.

We have breaking news: major shakeup in Washington, D.C.—Susie Wiles is out, Stephen Miller is in. The White House has a new Chief of Staff, and it's arguably the most dangerous person in Washington, D.C. We're going to walk through what led to this decision and how some of the closest people to Donald Trump, including Elon Musk himself, well, they are facing a day of reckoning today. Today, Donald Trump has announced that the Chief of Staff will be switching. Stephen Miller will become the White House Chief of Staff. Susie Wiles is out starting on Monday.
Republicans across the spectrum, including those aligned with Donald Trump, have long been calling for the ouster of Susie Wiles, and it looks as though another woman is leaving his administration. It comes as massive investigations are planned of people like Wiles, people like Stephen Miller, people like Donald Trump himself, and Elon Musk. And in Texas, a place where Elon Musk sought safe haven, well, his fortunes are actually being reversed. If you can, subscribe, support this work. We're working around the clock. Like, comment, share. Let's get into it, because just moments ago, today, Donald Trump made the announcement.
Stephen Miller will be the new White House Chief of Staff, making saying, quote, "I am pleased, I am pleased, to announce that Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump administration and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9." Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump political operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff. She has done a great job. Stephen Miller is responsible for much of the Trump operation, much of the most dangerous parts of the Trump operation, including the mass deportation effort that has led to people being taken off of our street in masks by masked agents.
He has been responsible for much of the unconstitutional orders given out by those inside and outside of the White House, by the President of the United States himself. Stephen Miller will now take over the White House operations, heading into a time where they are expecting mass investigations, investigations including, including those of Elon Musk. Senator Ruben Gallego says Elon Musk has Ukrainian blood on his hands. He needs to come in and explain what the hell happened when he altered a global conflict with the flick of a switch.
See you in January, Elon. Elon thought he could move his operations to Texas, where he would have better political standing. But incoming Governor Gina Inohosa has made clear: today is a new day in Texas.
Well, look, as I said before, we have to have balance. These are our beaches we're talking about. I mean, selling our beach to Elon Musk is just something that is almost unimaginable. It's unacceptable. Our beaches are enshrined in our Texas Constitution as being free and open to the people of Texas, because there are our beaches. We can have a strong working relationship with Elon Musk and his companies, but it has to be on our terms. It cannot be just running over the people of Texas.
And that's what changes now that I will be governor.
Can't just be running over the people of Texas. And members of Congress say, "We got to haul Elon up."
What's happening in Virginia is the Doge chickens are coming home to roost for this administration, because Virginians have been hammered by the Doge policies. Tens of thousands of Virginians fired, abused, attacked by Trump and Russ vote in this administration. They are turning out to vote right now as we speak. And we're going to send a very loud and clear message.
Elon Musk is on the chopping block. In Texas, the Governor of Texas, incoming Governor of Texas, Gina Inohosa, is making clear that he cannot just run the state like he wants it to. Members of Congress like Ruben Gallego say, "We're going to get him under oath." And all the while, Stephen Miller, Stephen Miller, the man in charge of all of this, is now operating the White House. Take a listen to more of what Inohosa had to say.
You announced, I think earlier today, part of your transition team, including a former Republican state representative. What do you want your supporters to know about your commitment to working across the aisle? Because I'm sure there are people in the middle of the road who voted for you, who are happy to hear about a former Republican being part of your team. But there might be some folks on the left who are part of your coalition who think, "Oh, no." What do you say to that?
I say that the left-right paradigm just does not meet the moment of our time. What this is about is about 99.9 percent of us in the same boat against, like, 15 billion air tech guys who are frankly controlling government. And that's what the people voted against in this election. The people gave us a mandate for a change. And we didn't just have Democratic supporters. We had independent supporters and Republican supporters. Republican supporters, because of my position on public schools. There is no light between myself and the Republican I just announced would be co-chairing my transition team on public schools.
We all want strong public schools where teachers are prioritized. We have smaller class sizes, and our schools have what they need so that our kids get a world-class education. That's not a Democratic priority. That is a parent, family, and community priority. And as such, yes, I do have strong support from Republicans on that issue. And I intend to use that support so that we can get things done.
So Elon's in trouble. The tech billionaires are in trouble. Stephen Miller is the new White House Chief of Staff. Susie Wiles is out of a job. And while now we're about to get reaction from the White House, I spoke with Luke Radel, who is right outside the White House. Take a listen. Luke Radel right now from the White House. Luke, Stephen Miller in, Susie Wiles out. What's the sentiment at the White House?
Look, I can't say that it's particularly surprising. This is what we see after a president loses badly in a midterm election, let alone historically badly, the worst loss that we've seen in over 50 years for a president and his party. It is only surprising in the sense that Susie Wiles has been such a stable fixture of this second Trump term, both as his Chief of Staff and also as his co-campaign manager in 2024. Trump says that now Wiles will be moving to his political operation, despite the fact that, frankly, he has no political operation to run.
There's no future campaign for the president to be involved in. And so it's pretty clearly a firing by the president and an elevation of someone in Stephen Miller, who is controversial, to say the very least.
Well, Stephen Miller has really enabled some of the worst of the president, from the mass deportation efforts, ice on our streets, and more. What should we expect now that Stephen Miller is in charge?
I would say to expect the unexpected, Aaron. This is the president leaning into his most base instincts. I think he believes that now that he has no future elections to worry about, no midterm prospects, no future reelection prospects for him, obviously, he might decide to go full throttle on a lot of the issues that he campaigned on, a lot of the issues that many folks campaigned hardest against when they were running against President Trump and his party. And Stephen Miller has not demonstrated an ability or a willingness or an inclination to say no to the president on just about anything.
Susie Wiles was someone who many saw as, like, a gatekeeper to the president, who's really stabilized this White House, at least for the first, I would say, year and a half until recently. Should we expect things to change? Should we expect maybe Trump won chaos to come back over the last two years with Stephen Miller in charge?
Yeah, I'm not sure about Trump won chaos per se. I think Stephen Miller is going to try and run the White House from a very top-down perspective. Wiles had a lot more of a collaborative approach that we saw come out in some of the reporting about the way in which she was making decisions. There seems to be a lot of backbiting and infighting between Stephen Miller and his wing of the administration and some other wings of the administration. And it's pretty clear the president promoting him to this position demonstrates that, frankly, Stephen Miller has won and, by extension, so have his rather radical policy viewpoints, particularly on the issue of immigration.
What's the sentiment right now in the White House generally in the few days after the election? Because this was a shellacking on all fronts.
They're depressed. And they're panicking about the future, not just of the final two years of this administration, but of the Republican Party more broadly. This was a very clear message sent by the voters that they are not happy with President Trump and not happy with what he's been doing the first two years. And they can try to find a fall guy all they want. They can blame Susie Wiles. They can blame Pete Hegseth. They can blame the Assistant Secretary of the DOJ. But at the end of the day, President Trump, the buck stops with him. It lands on his desk. He was the one responsible for the unpopular war with Iran that spiked everyone's prices and resulted in, like I said, the biggest midterm landslide since 1974.
Luke, if people want to find you, where can they find you?
They can give me a follow. I'm @LukeRadel, Luke, R-A-D-E-L, on all social media platforms. Really thank everybody for all the support of our reporting here at the White House.
Luke Radel, thanks so much. Good luck at the White House.
