00:00:11

So there's this incredible video of this young kid named Samuel Henderson. He's from Oklahoma, he's 12 years old, and he can essentially channel birds. Like, he's doing these—

00:00:25

like, he could talk to them.

00:00:26

Yeah, he's doing these bird calls. I've never heard anyone sound more like the animal. Like, he puts Ron McGill to shame on his ability.

00:00:36

Ron McGill sucks compared to him, you're saying?

00:00:37

Ron McGill is untalented compared to this kid. That's how great this kid is. But it's, it's been so fun to watch the internet react in such a positive way to this kid. He, he basically had a really viral video where he was doing bird sounds, and then people started requesting all of these different ones, so he did a part 2. I, I want you guys to watch this, it's amazing.

00:00:58

This is Bird Request Part 2, and let's get started. First we got the barred owl. Next, the ring-necked dove. Next, next, the American woodcock.

00:01:23

Meep, meep, meep.

00:01:27

And you know, there's two different species of crows in the United States, the fish crow and the American crow. The fish crow is what I'm gonna do first.

00:01:36

Ah, ah, ah.

00:01:39

Then the American crow.

00:01:40

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

00:01:44

I wonder if they're gonna come to. Then Atlantic— sorry, Atlantic puffin. Next, the purple martin.

00:02:03

Whippoorwill.

00:02:15

And keep up the good— keep up the requests, guys. And also, I want to— I want to say thank you to Bird Collective for giving— for sending that box to me. Well, bye!

00:02:29

What a sweet kid. Like, it's so cool to see anyone as passionate about anything as that kid.

00:02:34

What's Buddy's name?

00:02:35

Bird Calls. His name is Samuel Henderson. And the way that He is interacting with everyone the way that the internet, internet is interacting with him. I think personally that that's worth a toast. And he is amazing. Worth a Toast is presented by Cuervo. Keep it fun. Keep it Cuervo. That is one of the most— like, I just watched Lionel Messi play soccer and that's the most impressive thing I've seen this week. He is unbelievable.

00:03:02

Uh, that's, uh, that's, uh, it's pretty amazing.

00:03:04

It's awesome.

00:03:05

It's amazing.

00:03:06

The crow was spot on.

00:03:07

It was, right? That's the one that got me. I was watching and I was like, all right, these are like unbelievable, some of these sounds that are, that are coming out of this kid. But the crows were identical. It was amazing.

00:03:19

Well, I was just gonna say, I mean, how do we know? Like he's doing these good questions, birds, you're like, oh my God, that's amazing.

00:03:25

I saw someone on TikTok break down. I saw someone on TikTok break down where here's what it sounds like. Yeah, they spliced it all together where they had his and then they had the sound of the bird sort of showing like That is identical to what they sound like. It's really awesome.

00:03:40

I want to show you guys something that I just saw this morning.

00:03:43

High school's going to be tough.

00:03:44

So at the end of the Argentina-England game, we all saw like Jude Bellingham had some moments throughout the game, right? Like he had a back and forth with Messi, which apparently turned out it was playful banter, but it gave us like an all-time great Messi meme, you know. And there was also another moment where Bellingham had a back and forth with Rodrigo de Paul.

00:04:10

You okay?

00:04:11

Yeah, like I get choked up when I think about the way that he spoke to Rodrigo de Paul.

00:04:14

Yeah, I'm on your ass now. I don't like what you did to me last Saturday.

00:04:17

Why? What'd I do?

00:04:17

You know exactly what you did. Yeah, I know what I did. Playing stupid. What's the name of that movie?

00:04:22

Digler? Yeah.

00:04:23

Digman?

00:04:23

With an L, right?

00:04:24

Yeah, yeah, I know exactly what you did. Leave somebody on an island to say the actual title.

00:04:28

And then after the game, Jude Bellingham smacks— what's, uh, what's homeboy's name? Valentin Barco, right?

00:04:36

Yeah, yeah, that's homeboy. That's homeboy's name.

00:04:39

Okay, he smacks him in the back. Like, he, he gave him a smack, all right, in the back of the head, the redheaded dude. And I was like, whoa, why did he do that? I don't know if you've seen this video. Watch this here. This is the second goal that Argentina scores, which would eventually be the winner. And watch Barco, who is a sub, he's wearing the, you know, the penny, watch him—

00:05:03

It's a penny. I told you I'm on your ass.

00:05:05

I think it's a penny.

00:05:06

It's a penny.

00:05:07

Alright.

00:05:08

Babe.

00:05:08

Here's the video. So you see here, here is the goal that's scored, and coming off onto your screen from the left side is Barco, who just runs onto the field celebrating like a wild man. Look at this. Runs onto the field by himself, away from his teammates. I've never seen anything like that. Have you ever seen that before? All of his teammates— first of all, it's one weird— it's a weird soccer thing, at least to me, how when there's a goal scored and the whole bench like runs to the corner and they all celebrate. Those guys like, ah, you know, you're on the bench, you're able to just run on the field like that? Yeah, clocks aren't a big deal, you know, clocks, clocks running, but all right, whatever the time. Okay, all right, fine, but I've never seen that before. He just runs on his own across the middle of the field, jumping up and down and celebrating. Mike, you're telling me that's normal?

00:05:59

No, no, that's poor. I don't like that. I don't like that. And Jude Bellingham was right to do something.

00:06:04

Got his lick back.

00:06:05

Look at that. He's fist pumping and running in front of the England players, completely away from his own team.

00:06:11

Yeah, you know, he took that as disrespect. He looks like Spoh calling a timeout.

00:06:15

Oh, what a terrible moment that was. Oh my God. And so we have reaction from from Bellingham. This was him again. You could— you can catch it after the game where, all right, he shakes hands with a couple of the Argentine players, and then he sees that guy and he smacks him right up.

00:06:32

Yeah.

00:06:33

All right, I like it. I kind of think he did the right thing now.

00:06:36

So I, I had only seen this happen. I'm like, man, dude, like, I was like, man, Jude, with what you said to Messi and the Tuchel thing, I was like, maybe you can grow from some of these things. Immature. But that, that's edge.

00:06:48

That's leadership right there.

00:06:50

Yeah.

00:06:50

What, that lick back?

00:06:50

That's no receipt.

00:06:52

Yeah, I know about that lick back.

00:06:53

I like that from Jude. That's good shit.

00:06:55

I do wonder.

00:06:56

I think—

00:06:57

Yeah, go ahead, Dave.

00:06:57

It's just bizarre behavior, obviously, that for people steeped in American sports, you would never see that. And you have to adjust your eye to the soccer culture. And it is not international culture. Soccer culture is, you know, people always do the, what's it called, surrender cobra in football. People do, the fans in the stands do that. It's crazy that every soccer fan in the stands somehow understands that in the soccer culture, you don't put your hands on top of your head, you put them over your mouth when something bad happens. You do this. And you don't hug your opponents. You don't high-five them on a job well done. You don't dap them up. You put your hand around their face or like around the back of their head. You know what I'm talking about, Mike? Yeah. These weird like—

00:07:44

I've seen high-fives and hugs, but— Go on.

00:07:47

I'm not— come, you know what I'm talking about.

00:07:51

Yeah, I do.

00:07:52

I'm not a homophobe. It's weird though, the way they sort of cop the back of each other's heads when they're talking.

00:07:57

You're not right here.

00:07:58

Well done, well done, mate. Well done.

00:08:01

You're not watching The Odyssey.

00:08:03

It's European.

00:08:04

We park our cars in the same garage.

00:08:07

It's such odd behavior. Like in football, when a team scores a touchdown—

00:08:12

That was super disrespectful though. And Jude was right to do that. And Jude probably is lining himself up to be the next captain once Harry Kane gives that up, um, or is no longer selected for the international side.

00:08:25

That was—

00:08:25

all right, I'm glad that that was context because I first saw that Jude Bellingham thing, I was like, man, bad luck, bad luck.

00:08:32

I also wonder, is it possible— because I was wondering how Bellingham and Messi were having a conversation during the game because Messi didn't speak English. But then you told me that Bellingham speaks Spanish.

00:08:41

Messi speaks enough.

00:08:42

Okay, but then you— but you told me though that Bellingham speaks Spanish.

00:08:44

Yeah, he plays in Spain.

00:08:45

Okay, so that's important. I wonder though if before Bellingham smacked that guy up the side of his head, if that guy said something in Spanish and maybe didn't know that Bellingham's gonna understand.

00:08:56

Ah, that's about— that's a, that's a theory, no doubt, man. It's a known thing though that you don't do what Jude did to Messi.

00:09:04

Like, you mean don't rile him up?

00:09:05

Yeah, don't, you don't. Everyone knows that. I really want to know what he said.

00:09:11

Well, his explanation. Do you want to know what his explanation was?

00:09:14

I would love to know what Messi's explanation is.

00:09:17

Because his explanation was he said to Messi, like he was complaining about not getting a foul call. And then Messi said to him, what about the foul on me? And, and Bellingham told him, you can handle it like you're strong enough.

00:09:32

Oh, really?

00:09:32

And that's what then Messi made the face like, hmm, okay, weird cell phone.

00:09:37

Yeah.

00:09:38

So I don't know. That's, that's what he— that's what Bellingham says it was anyway.

00:09:41

And to be clear, just to, just to put this in the proper setup that it deserves, Mike Ryan, this would be— this is the GOAT of the most popular sport on the planet Earth. And this would be the signature of his career if he gets this one done.

00:09:59

Yeah, dude.

00:10:01

Yeah.

00:10:01

And so he's the— he's the— and is it fair then to say, as people— I know that this may not be your favorite conversation to sort of categorize these things, but is he then, if he wins this one, is he the GOAT of all GOATs?

00:10:16

I think Mike already said it.

00:10:16

Yeah, I think he already is in terms of soccer. But I hear—

00:10:21

what about— what about a baseball?

00:10:23

Greatest of all time in all— in all athletics. Man, Brady, I, I do think that we need to start changing things. Like, you know, we always say that guy's the Michael Jordan of blank. I'm a big proponent of we got to start saying that's a Tom Brady of blank.

00:10:35

I agree. Same goes for '85 Bears. We've had good defenses since the '85 Bears. Let's stop using that. Oh, they're not exactly the '85 Bears.

00:10:44

I, I think the greatest athlete of all time, the most dominant athlete of all time, if he wins a second World Cup consecutive, man. Yeah. Messi.

00:10:53

Dave, what about when—

00:10:54

and being a— and being a factor in the goals that he—

00:10:58

oh yeah, dude.

00:10:59

Right.

00:10:59

Prior to last World Cup, especially in the final, he stepped up to the moment. But also many haters would say he literally stepped up to it. A lot of those were pens. Here in this World Cup, that's why I said like he's much better than the last World Cup, which was his best World Cup.

00:11:17

That's all I'm saying. Not close.

00:11:19

He's so much better. And we were talking about this on Morally Abhorrent yesterday. The Ballon d'Or. Messi's won it a couple of times. He won it when he was in an Inter Miami uniform, but he had won it because of stuff that he did prior to when he was playing for PSG. And he won it mainly for what he did for Argentina. Will Gavin told me that Messi was +5,000 in some books to win the Ballon d'Or, best player on the planet. Men's side. It's very difficult to do that when you're not playing in Europe. Megan Rapinoe has done it when she was playing in America, but like, it doesn't happen. But it's not like he's not dominating the shit out of MLS, and he's just running through the World Cup. I think he has a legitimate shot at the Ballon d'Or if he wins.

00:12:05

00:13:22

This is my favorite week of the summer sports calendar. The tournament is down to its final matches, baseball's on every night, the left turns are turning, and every group chat starts with with the same question, "What are we watching?" This is the time of year where my TV barely gets a break and I find myself reaching for that beautiful white can of ice cold Miller Lite. And I'm gonna invite the boys over, no doubt. And everybody knows about the Miller Time MVP. Every group has one. The person that gets there early, saves a table, that's an MVP. The person who brings a cooler, extra ice, and enough Miller Lite for everybody, MVP. The person who makes sure nobody watches the biggest match of the summer alone. That's a Miller Time MVP. Holy cow, folks, just realized this. I'm a Miller Time MVP. Legendary moments start with a Miller Lite, and they're made even better by a Miller Time MVP, such as moi. We all have that one friend who makes every game better. Now it's time to give them their moment. Head over to any of Miller Lite's social media pages to learn more about being a Miller Time MVP.

00:14:24

MVP.

00:14:25

You can pick up some Miller Lite pretty much anywhere they sell beer. It's Miller time! Celebrate responsibly. Miller Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 96 calories and 3.2 carbs per 12 ounces.

00:14:38

Sehr gut, sehr gut, sehr gut.

00:14:40

Sehr gut?

00:14:41

Wieso, Steuer ist sehr gut.

00:14:42

Das sagen ganz viele.

00:14:43

Wer sagt das?

00:14:44

Stiftung Warentest, Computerbild, Focus Money, Chip, Finanztipp.

00:14:48

Such dir was aus.

00:14:49

Mega, aber das ist doch bestimmt kompliziert.

00:14:51

Nö, einfach Foto von der Lohnsteuerbescheinigung machen und fertig.

00:14:54

Klingt sehr gut.

00:14:56

Ist sehr gut.

00:14:57

Mit Wieso Steuer bis zum 31.

00:14:59

Juli abgeben.

00:15:01

Dan Levatar. I don't think it's strange for me, but like— Mike Ryan.

00:15:06

Oh boy.

00:15:07

This is the Dan Levatar Show.

00:15:15

Well, I also think that, you know, underdog stories are great. We love to see them in movies and we love to see them in sports, but the better story in my book is You know, Tom Brady is the other side of this equation, which is before he even knows what's happening. It's his second season, he's a Super Bowl champ, he throws for 12 yards in the Super Bowl, but nevertheless he's the MVP and he's off and running. And now he's a winner, he, he's clutch. The other side of that coin is Dan Marino gets there in his second year, doesn't win, and now it's like he'll eventually get one. And as his, his career wears on, like, is he ever going to get one? And that plague of The pressure of he's supposed to do it adds extra pressure on your shoulders. And when you are then Tom Brady in say Super Bowl 49 against the era's best defense in the Seattle Seahawks, and you're down 10 points in the 4th quarter, and everybody in the stadium on both sidelines and watching on TV is saying, "The only guy who can save the Patriots right now is that guy," and he does it, that's the best thing in sports.

00:16:13

Messi was plagued with, correct me if I'm wrong, Man, this guy is awesome. He just doesn't come through in the big spot late, relatively speaking, in his career. He did come through and now he might do it again. I think that's the remarkable story and one that maybe does make him the GOAT of all GOATs, although I'm not steeped in soccer the way you are.

00:16:31

Tony, it's your time to shine. The World Cup is coming to an end, sadly, and you've put together a top 5 in memoriam.

00:16:40

Yeah, in memoriam of the entire summer, things that we had throughout the entire summer, the, the what, month run of the World Cup.

00:16:47

Yeah.

00:16:48

Beautiful. So we've got a top 5 of things we'll remember from this World Cup, starting with Erling Haaland. America may have just met you, but we will remember you forever.

00:17:00

Fanfare for an in memoriam.

00:17:02

Or at least another 2 weeks until we find out where you play.

00:17:05

That's how the Oscars do it, right?

00:17:07

I wasn't expecting it to be fair. That's why I was going to just, you know, maybe there's another sound. Yeah.

00:17:13

Oh, we don't have—

00:17:13

Where does he play?

00:17:15

Erling Haaland?

00:17:15

Yeah.

00:17:16

Manchester City.

00:17:17

Okay. So the EPL, the English Premier League. He's a Man City guy. Number 4, the Tartan Army.

00:17:24

Thank you.

00:17:25

You bag piped, you drank beer, you kept Dan up all night. We appreciate that for sure.

00:17:30

I—

00:17:30

Mike appreciates you more than anybody here.

00:17:31

Oh, for sure. As a small business owner, I walked to Lossboy to watch one of the matches and on my walk on 2 different lampposts on the walk over, a cone sat atop the lamppost. Of course, the precision cone tossing of the Tottenham Army.

00:17:46

Wonderful tribute.

00:17:47

Something we'll remember forever. Capoverde, we won't remember any of your names, but we won't forget how you made us feel.

00:17:53

We're gonna remember Vosinha.

00:17:55

Okay, sure, one. And how about the guy that went— the beautiful bender—

00:17:58

running for the crowd?

00:17:59

What was that guy's name?

00:17:59

I already forgot his name.

00:18:00

We are all Capoverde.

00:18:01

We are all Capoverde. Number 2: any team that had a lead on Argentina in the World Cup, either win Or by the left foot of God, your destiny was always written. It was always to lose. We're sorry for— How many teams was it? 4 teams that had a lead on Argentina before they came back and won in late fashion?

00:18:19

Incredible.

00:18:20

I'm emotional.

00:18:21

What happened? Somebody coughed?

00:18:22

I'm—

00:18:22

man, I'm a warrior.

00:18:23

You are. You are.

00:18:24

Number 1, this would straight up kill Jeremy.

00:18:26

What's going on with you?

00:18:27

The sniffles that I have? Jeremy would be dead.

00:18:29

He would die.

00:18:30

He would die.

00:18:31

Yeah.

00:18:31

He would be a dead man if he had what I'm suffering from.

00:18:34

Yeah, he'd be a dead man.

00:18:34

I'm powering through. Thank you for your service. I'm unstoppable.

00:18:37

You be dead, Jeremy.

00:18:37

Thank you.

00:18:38

Great ones tell their bodies not today. You've done it. Number 1, all the great fans we've lost along the way. You've made us a little bit more interested in cultures we didn't care about until you showed up.

00:18:47

Incredible fans.

00:18:47

Thank you.

00:18:48

Thank you for the fans out there.

00:18:50

We love you.

00:18:51

We love the fans. Mexico, Norway, Norway, Brazil, South Korea.

00:18:57

So that's some people's favorite kind of fans. Yep.

00:19:01

That was it. Just a good little morsel of things we lost along the way as the final and the third place game. I'll see you tomorrow in the final on Sunday. So we'll never forget FIFA World Cup 2026 in the good old States.

00:19:15

Oh, I'm so glad we brought that idea back to the next hour.

00:19:19

The greatest fans.

00:19:22

Thank you.

00:19:23

It's not my best impression.

00:19:25

Mike Ryan, go and console Jeremy Taché if you insulted him in the soccer way. Go. Go cup the back of his head real nice and close.

00:19:33

No, thank you.

00:19:34

No, thank you. He has the sniffles. It'll kill me.

00:19:38

So it's Sage Force.

00:19:40

So amidst the NBA news, that's been huge, right? Like, the LeBron stuff is obviously what we're keeping an eye on here, and everybody's waiting for— I think we're gonna find out Sunday night. I do. I think we're gonna be here Monday morning and we're gonna know, and it's gonna be a thing. I, I think, you know, World Cup ends 5:30 PM Eastern Time on Sunday. I've accounted for the 30-minute halftime, Mike, so 5:30. And I think sometime after that we're going to learn the LeBron news, and then it's going to dominate starting Monday morning.

00:20:06

No one will hold you accountable if it doesn't happen either. It's a great thing to say.

00:20:09

Absolutely.

00:20:10

You've been wrong about it a lot.

00:20:11

That's what— well, that's, that's what everyone's doing in the media right now. If you get it right, great.

00:20:16

You venture to guess that LeBron is going to make a decision a couple of times, and you haven't been right. It hasn't stuck to you, so keep going with it.

00:20:22

Yeah, I'm going to eventually be right, and then it's Zaslo had it first, props to Zaslo. So that's what's gonna wind up happening Sunday night. But there is a story going on right now with a former free agent called Gary Trent. Gary Trent Jr., actually. His father played for the Heat. Did you know that, Jeremy? No, you didn't. Now you know. Gary Trent Jr., he signed a 4-year, $64 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, a team he's played for for a couple of years now. Tony, do you know what's going on here with Gary Trent Jr.?

00:20:52

It's the weirdest thing. They're investigating a 4-for-$64 million deal that the Bucks gave Gary Trent Jr. If I'm Gary Trent Jr., I'm like, yo, what are we doing?

00:21:02

Why are they investigating?

00:21:03

Why are you investigating me? Why don't you guys take care of the guy you're actually investigating and go take care of that?

00:21:08

Why are they investigating?

00:21:09

Because he was terrible last year.

00:21:11

So they not deserve it of a 4-for-64, $60 million a year deal. There is belief that the Bucks circumvented the salary cap here and they had a wink wink make good deal with Gary Trent because Gary Trent for You know, was he in Portland before he went to Milwaukee? I think a good player, 17, 18 points a game. He was a scorer, and he inexplicably signed with the Bucks. You got to remember, a couple years ago, a team with Giannis and Damian Lillard, who you thought was going to be a title contender, but they didn't have enough money to sign him to like a commensurate deal, and they signed him to a, a maybe a little bit more than the minimum. It was like a 2-year, like $9 million deal or something with a player option. It's like, whoa, that is a hell of a steal. And because they gave him a multi-year deal there, they were able to acquire early bird rights, which means you could re-sign your own guy and you can go over the salary cap. And okay, fine, you know, wink wink, we'll pay you, uh, you know, a little bit of money now, but we're gonna make it up to you on the back end.

00:22:14

Don't tell anyone, it's an easy way for us to get around the salary cap. All right, and if that's not bad enough it became kind of— it, it became a red flag because not only did he sign this 4-year, $64 million deal now, but he was terrible this past year. It was like a career-worst season. He had a bunch of DNP coaches' decisions. Well, not very often you get DNP coaches' decisions for a veteran player, and then he signs a 4-year, $64 million deal when seemingly no one else is out there, you know, trying to sign him for his services.

00:22:49

36% from 3, 38% from the field, 8.1 points per game this season.

00:22:54

Like you said, and like, what's his career average?

00:22:56

Career average is hovering more around 13-ish. Uh, he had great years over in Toronto where he scored 18 a game, 17 a game, 13 a game, 11, but now it's kind of gone down every single season. And he gets DMPs, he gets DMPs all the time for a team obviously that was in flux because they didn't know what was going to happen with Giannis. They were kind of tanking, they were kind of half-ass tanking of like, is he coming back, is he not, are we going are we not? But, um, for me, I look at other deals that are kind of in the same realm as that. Quinton Grimes, you could probably say, is a little bit better than Gary Trent Jr., but got a 4 for 60. You know what I mean? So it's like, he's kind of in that range. We're just looking at on the back end of like, he had a bad year, they're gonna be not that good.

00:23:36

Seems like a wink wink deal. I don't know that they're gonna get banged for it, but they shouldn't.

00:23:40

I mean, if, if they're gonna bang the Bucks and Gary Trent Jr. and completely not do anything to Kawhi Leonard, who has proven that there is material hard evidence via Pablo Torre finds out that there was cap circumvention, and now you're gonna go to assumed presumed cap circumvention and hit him? That's weak sauce.

00:23:58

But I think that that's why, right? Like, the reason that they announced that they're probing it is to show like, we care about this stuff, we need to make an example of the teams where this is the case so that they can investigate it and then say that nothing happened. Or maybe there is something that happened, like maybe they will find evidence and they will punish the player and/or the team. This is at the very beginning of the contract, right? This stuff with Pablo didn't come out until midway through. It's a lot more cut and dry. If they do a quick investigation, they can void that contract and move on. And with Gary Trent Jr., they can use him as an example of them taking all of this seriously.

00:24:33

But where's the smoking gun, right? In the Joe Smith situation, there was the actual smoking gun. In this one, there's really not. That's the only two that I can think of that cap circumvention, you know, the Miami Heat did it with Juwan Howard. Okay, Juwan Howard was their smoking gun there.

00:24:47

Yeah, the order of events, like they signed Juwan Howard to the massive deal and then they finally re-signed Alonzo Mourning. It was like, yeah, it was kind of shady. So we're gonna have to add—

00:24:56

so we have 3 examples.

00:24:58

Yeah, I mean, look, I think the very obvious fair resolution here is for the NBA to make the Charlotte Hornets give the Miami Heat their first-round pick back. I mean, I think that's full circle.

00:25:08

Yep.

00:25:08

Agree.

00:25:08

Pretty obvious at this point. Dan Levitar. Put a finger in there, but if you tell anyone, I'll deny it.

00:25:14

Mike Ryan.

00:25:15

Don't just stare at it, eat it. This is the Dan Levitar Show. Dave, can we play a little bit of a game here today?

00:25:32

I'd like to play a couple of games. I have— it's up to you, Zazz, you have the con. Would you rather have another edition of TNT, Tashay v. Tony, with a little trivia head-to-head? Or my son— we were at the Buccos game last week, um, and he asked me how tall is the average baseball player, and that led me to cook up what the average height is in all the major sports. Which one would you like to go with?

00:26:02

Okay, these are two very intriguing games. All right, I feel like it's a lot of pressure. These are good games. I'm gonna go with the first one though. Let's do a little T versus T. Yeah, let's do it. Let's go with the first one. Let's do a little Tony versus Tash Cuban versus Juben. Here we go for total Cuban supremacy. Let's do it.

00:26:24

All right, here we go. I have in front of me today's category, and everybody, you're both gentlemen. Nobody needs to check your computers to make sure you're not looking up the answers to cheat here, because you'd only be cheating yourselves. Here we go. You're first to go. You're first to go here on this one. The top 20 all-time rushing leaders for the Miami Dolphins.

00:26:50

Ricky Williams.

00:26:52

Ricky Williams. Where— just, just for fun, do you know where he ranks all time? 1 among the Dolphins.

00:26:58

It's not hard.

00:26:58

Number 2. I'm a little surprised by that. Number 2, um, is, uh, is, uh, all-time. Tony, you're up.

00:27:07

I'm gonna take, uh, Larry Zonka.

00:27:09

Correct. That's number 1 for you. Tashay?

00:27:12

Ronnie Brown.

00:27:13

That's number 3. You guys are doing well here. Tony?

00:27:16

Uh, I'm gonna take Uh, Mercury Morris.

00:27:22

Wow, you guys have the top 4. Taché.

00:27:26

Hmm, this is where it starts to get tricky.

00:27:30

No, you should be able to get it.

00:27:31

Doesn't have to, you know, they have to.

00:27:33

Here's an odd one that might be near the bottom of that because he had a couple of good seasons here.

00:27:38

Spit it out, man.

00:27:39

Reggie Bush.

00:27:40

Really, the vamping around is, uh, is untoward, but you are correct. Reggie Bush, 16th. 16th, right?

00:27:47

So near the bottom, just like I said.

00:27:48

Okay, Dave, how about you give me a little Kareem Abdul-Jabbar?

00:27:52

Yes, well done!

00:27:54

Number 7, the 7th leading rusher in the history of the franchise. Yikes. Um, here's a clue that I've mentioned. I'm a horrible guest.

00:28:08

Horrible guess.

00:28:10

What was it?

00:28:10

Lusaka Polite. Horrible guess.

00:28:14

I just want to say a nice name.

00:28:17

All right, that's a point for Tony. Do we have another game of TNT?

00:28:22

Well, wait a second, we started with Tashay, so Tony must win by naming somebody here.

00:28:27

Oh, hold on. All right, I'm gonna bring one because he said Lusaka Polite. I'm gonna say one that is probably very low on the list, but if I go down the middle, throw a strike.

00:28:37

That means there's no reason to get cute.

00:28:38

There's so many guys.

00:28:39

Get cute, get cute.

00:28:42

There's so many good players left here.

00:28:44

Don't do number 44.

00:28:45

Nah, get cute.

00:28:46

Yeah, come on.

00:28:46

You know, I wanted to say it just so you could say that he was lost at sea.

00:28:50

Yes, that's exactly what I want.

00:28:51

I don't know if he's in the top 20. He might be.

00:28:54

Just say what you want to say.

00:28:55

Well, no, this is not his formal guess, but is Rob Conrad in the top 20?

00:28:59

He is not. And I'm vain enough to expect that you follow when I'm speaking. And I have told you my favorite or my second favorite Pro football game of all time significantly features this guy on a banner play that stands out among the most memorable plays in pro football history.

00:29:18

All right, I'll throw a strike down the middle. You ready?

00:29:21

Yep.

00:29:21

Lamar Smith.

00:29:23

Lamar Smith is number 15, and number 9 is Lamar Miller. I'm speaking as—

00:29:30

high school teammate of mine, by the way, did you know that?

00:29:33

Is that right?

00:29:34

Yeah, saw number 7 run.

00:29:36

I was speaking of Tony Nathan, of course, on the hook and ladder off the right arm of Don Strock to Duriel Harris to Tony Nathan running down the sideline as, uh, halftime, um, approaches. Jim Kick is the obvious one at number 5. Uh, A-chan, Mark Higgs, Mark Higgs. Oh yes, Delvin Williams, Andre Franklin, Raheem Mostert, Benny Malone. Bernie Parmley, Lorenzo Hampton.

00:30:07

Bernie Parmley made it?

00:30:09

Oh yeah. J.A. Jai and Sammy Smith. Once again reminding me as you look at this list that Don Shula, for all of his greatness, failed Dan Marino.

00:30:18

What a truly dreadful franchise.

00:30:20

Yeah, bad at running.

00:30:21

It really is bad.

00:30:22

Yeah, famously was blamed for that and the defense for Marino not making it back to a Super Bowl.

00:30:27

I mean, he really, I mean, for all of his greatness, I mean, he really did fail. For the entirety of Marino's career.

00:30:33

But as we covered, would have made it if Natron Means was called rightfully out of bounds.

00:30:37

I mean, he selected John Avery over Randy Moss. What are you gonna do, you know?

00:30:41

You remember that?

00:30:41

Hey, Zazz, of course.

00:30:43

So over-under now, we'll move on to game number 2 here. The average height of a baseball player in the year of the Lord 2026: 6'1".

00:30:55

I was gonna say 6— I was gonna say exactly 6'1". So, all right, I gotta go over-under. Um, I'm gonna go over.

00:31:04

You are correct. It's 6'1.5". The tallest position is pitcher. Middle infielder, as you would expect. The shortest, 6'2.5", is the average height of a major league pitcher. NBA, 6'6". Over-under?

00:31:19

Under.

00:31:20

Incorrect. It's over. It's 6'6.5". Wow, what do you got there, Tony?

00:31:26

I was— I thought it was going to be a little bit more than that. A lot of 7, 7-plus guys that kind of skew the averages, not a lot of 5-plus guys.

00:31:33

All right, NFL 6'2" over-under.

00:31:38

Under.

00:31:39

It's over. 6'2.5", obviously the tallest position is offensive line, and QBs are tall. One more for you, NBA, NBA 6, 6.5, 0.5 over/under.

00:31:52

6, 6.5 point what?

00:31:54

6, 6.5.

00:31:56

Oh, okay. 'Cause you said 6, 6.5. What does that mean?

00:32:01

I'm sorry. It's 'cause I'm a dip. 6, 6.5 over/under.

00:32:06

I, I, I thought we already did this one though. Push.

00:32:09

I thought this is a push.

00:32:10

Are you having a stroke?

00:32:11

Are you all right? I did it the same way.

00:32:13

You okay?

00:32:13

No, I'm not all right. As you can tell, NHL, NHL, 6, 1 over/under.

00:32:21

Under.

00:32:21

It's over. I was stunned by that one.

00:32:23

6.5.

00:32:24

Well, they're all wearing skates to the skates.

00:32:28

I want to do NBA again. I don't know. All right. Listen, that one didn't go well. I enjoyed TNT, though.

00:32:32

Yeah. Good job, Dave. Tony, what is this video you were telling me about going into the weekend? You have some kind of video that I'm going to wind up being afraid of. And I'm telling you, if it's spiders, you're doing the last few minutes here on your own.

00:32:44

I promise you it's not spiders, but it's one of the most terrifying videos I've ever seen. There was a Flood in China over the weekend, and there was a like, uh, endangered snake exhibit or farm of some sort that got flooded out. Those are all venomous cobras in a stream of water. They're venomous cobras in a stream of water, and they have their heads out with their big part of their—

00:33:05

like a snake army.

00:33:07

It's like a snake army in a river. So they had flooding everywhere, and the snake farm got flooded out. So all they were just going on to all these little houses, and they're going to make a movie about this.

00:33:17

Yeah, 100%.

00:33:18

Look at this. So the cobra's just sitting there above the water, venomous, and like super venomous.

00:33:23

Can I tell you something? I hate cobras.

00:33:25

Me too.

00:33:26

I don't like them.

00:33:27

I don't like them either.

00:33:28

Can you look? That's like 200 of them just back.

00:33:31

That's an army.

00:33:32

It's an army of snakes. Imagine there's a house at the end of that river and they're just like going straight into that house. Can you imagine?

00:33:39

Which is the more vomitous, the, the sea of snakes or those cobras? I'm kind of with you, Mike. Those ones with their heads up and the way they wiggle around as they go down, it makes me— it really does nauseate.

00:33:49

I'll tell you what, if anyone— if I— I told you I'm open for investors for my horror movie theater, I would— I would show— that would be one of the opening movies in my horror movie theater.

00:34:00

Yeah, that's the movie preview for you. Yeah, they don't even have to make the movie, just show that on a loop for about 10 minutes to get people.

00:34:07

Yeah, it was the most terrifying thing I'd seen. I was looking at my phone, I was like, this is— this is the worst thing.

00:34:11

It is a little weird that the— the cobra looks so scary and ominous, but you just start playing a little flute, they start bobbing like—

00:34:19

yeah, a wicker basket.

00:34:22

I think that the cobra should go underneath your feet.

00:34:25

I was like, I was gonna bite you, but this is kind of—

00:34:29

I'm telling you, hit me up @ZaslowShow if you're looking to invest in, uh, what could be a billion-dollar investment, uh, Zaslow's Horror Movie Theater.

00:34:39

Is there a scarier thing than what I just showed you from an animal perspective? Because like, we, we did the, the bear thing and it was like, okay, like the bear is kind of scary, but it's one bear. This is like 500 cobras swimming. It's bad in a way that you're like, all right, in the water maybe they can't do something. Like, no, no, they'll swim faster.

00:34:53

No, they could do lots of things. Yeah, yeah, that's bad. I don't like that. I'll tell you, shark. I'll tell you what I do like though. Oh my God, that video is unbelievable. All right, I'll tell you what I do like though, guys. It's Friday, it's a time, and a lot of people are saying themselves, Zaslo, I gotta know.

00:35:13

Yeah.

00:35:13

Yeah.

00:35:14

I gotta figure out how to spend my time this weekend. And that means you need to tell me. Is it a big game? Was it not a big game? That's right! Howdy folks. Welcome to Big Game or Not a Big Game with Jonathan Zaslow.

00:35:34

Yeah!

00:35:36

Alright gentlemen. What do you have for me today? How about we will start things out? Jeremy, what do you got?

00:35:48

Marlins at Brewers tonight. Sandy Alcantara on the hill. Marlins looking to start the second half on the right note. Big game, not a big game.

00:35:55

All right, what are their records here?

00:35:57

The Brewers are in first place. They're one of the best teams in all of Major League Baseball. The Marlins are 7 games over .500, holding on to that final wildcard spot at the moment.

00:36:09

Marlins, Brewers. Where's the game?

00:36:13

In Milwaukee.

00:36:15

In Milliwauke. You know that's how they originally pronounced it when it was founded, right?

00:36:22

Milliwauke, yeah, of course.

00:36:25

I'm going big game.

00:36:27

Start—

00:36:27

you didn't, you didn't think I was going to go that way. That's a swerve. You didn't think I was going to go in that direction. I didn't think that at all. Uh, hey, get this, Avoid a 4-game losing streak. No one needs that shit in their life.

00:36:37

Yep.

00:36:37

All right, get the second half of the season on the right track. I'm going big game.

00:36:43

All right.

00:36:43

Big game.

00:36:45

Uh, let's see, uh, Tony, Tony, what do you got for me?

00:36:50

Zazz, after a very long time, been a couple weeks, been out of town, been doing this and that, haven't really focused in. Tonight Date night with the wife. Oh, big game, not a big game.

00:37:03

Okay, Tony, date night with the wife. He's been away out of town doing this and that. It means he hasn't had sex. Where are you taking her?

00:37:15

Probably go to the Gables, nice little restaurant on the Gables.

00:37:18

Okay, just the two of you?

00:37:20

Just the two of us. Got babysitter lined up, so no baby. So just me and the wife.

00:37:25

All right. And, and is the, is the babysitter at your house or is the baby going out?

00:37:30

Dropping off at the grandma's house.

00:37:31

Excellent. That's a, that's a game changer. Do you have to pick the baby up at the end of the night or the baby's staying there?

00:37:37

No, I got to pick her up at the end of the night.

00:37:38

Okay. Can you stop home first and then go pick the baby up?

00:37:43

Possibly. It depends on if it's a big game or not a big game.

00:37:45

That right there is a very huge factor. And that's why Tony's date night tonight. That's a big game.

00:37:51

Big.

00:37:51

Yes, yes, big game kind of player. That's a big game. Dave Damashek, what do you have?

00:37:57

Well, do you have an extra obstacle, Tony, to overcome? Is she aware of your failure with Giannis?

00:38:03

She does not know.

00:38:04

No, she doesn't know.

00:38:05

No, because I told her that I beat Zaz getting Bobby Portis.

00:38:08

Well, that is true.

00:38:09

All right, um, Zaz, uh, given the current events, um, salad over the weekend or no salad? Do I have to avoid all greens given the health scare, the diarrhea that plagues our nation?

00:38:24

Oh wow.

00:38:25

So avoiding a salad, is that, is that the question?

00:38:29

Yeah, salad or no salad. Yeah, that, that's the debate.

00:38:33

Yeah, I'm going no salad tonight, by the way. No salad.

00:38:35

Yeah.

00:38:36

Okay.

00:38:36

Yeah, you don't want that. Uh, I'm, I'm— that's not a big game. That's not a big game.

00:38:40

I mean, that's not a big game.

00:38:42

No, my health No, that's not a big game. That's not a big game. You'll be just fine. Uh, Mike? Spain.

00:38:52

Argentina.

00:38:53

Wow.

00:38:54

The World Cup final. Climate change. Madonna. La mía mal versus Leo Messi.

00:39:05

Spain. Argentina.

00:39:09

Madonna.

00:39:11

World Cup final. Did you say Madonna or Maradona?

00:39:15

Madonna.

00:39:17

Was that with an R? Maradona?

00:39:20

Madonna, the Queen of Pop.

00:39:22

Okay, I think I know what you're saying. Maradona.

00:39:25

No, Madonna. Diego Maradona is dead. No R. Madonna's held together by some kind of masking tape.

00:39:33

Okay, you're talking about Madonna. Spain, Argentina, World Cup final? That's a big game.

00:39:44

Big game.
