Transcript of Goal of The Night - Brock Boeser - Canucks vs Ducks | NHL Edge Blakedown
sdpnNhl Edge goal, breakdown of the night comes courtesy of the Vancouver Knucks, who last night, Tuesday night, defeated the Anaheim Ducks 5 to 1. And in the first period, their first goal of the game to tie things up, 1-1, Brock Besser scores. But that is not who we are talking about today. We are talking about Quinn Hughes in his expert play on this Brock Besser goal. So we have a face-off win here by JT Miller. And the fuck goes back to Besser, and Quin Hughes gets the fuck in the corner. And here we have Ryan Ryan Strom here. And you'll watch Ryan Strom not come out to challenge Quinn Hughes all the way. And what do we get from Quinn Hughes? He says, You're not going to come out and challenge me, Ryan Strom. I'm going to work in my laboratory. I'm going to use all of this space that you've given me. I'm going to walk the line. Oh, my God. Look at this man. Toe the blue line back. He does that so nicely. And what does he do? He keeps his body forward, facing all of the players and the facing everybody so he knows where he can pass it, and he throws it right over back to JT Miller in the corner, draws the defenders back away, away from Quinn Hughes.
That allows Miller to just send it back to him. And what does Ryan Strong do? Not come out to challenge Quinn Hughes, in his laboratory. He just continues to get a little bit more space where he can work all along this blue line because he's so good out there. And he looks at Brock Bester and he says, I'm going to shoot that puckle right off your stick and it's going to go on the back of the net. And that's exactly what he does. So Quinn Hughes Passes it right through to Brock Besser's stick. It's not really a pass, it's a shot that's tipped right in the back of the net by Besser. What we're talking about here is expert work along the blue line by Quin Hughes, who is an absolute master at that. And his ability to toe the line, to use the space that's given to him to find the passer, to create more space than to find the shot in the middle that gets tipped directly into the back of the net and tie things up. One-one for the Knucks who went on to score four more and win the game. Five, two, one.
