Vote counting continues in California. I'm Daily Wire Executive Editor John Bickley. Georgia's on vacation for a little bit longer. It's Wednesday, June 3rd. This is Evening Wire. Iran attacked Kuwait following a late-night skirmish with the U.S., and President Trump confirmed his heated phone call with Netanyahu. Daily Wire Foreign Affairs reporter Kassia Kiva has the details.

Iran launched an overnight drone strike on Kuwait's International Airport, killing one person and injuring more than 60 others, just days after the airport reopened following earlier strikes. Officials say multiple hostile drones slammed into Terminal 1, causing widespread damage and forcing all commercial flights to stop. Videos posted online show smoke pouring from the terminal. The attack came after the US targeted an Iran-linked oil tanker attempting to break through the American blockade. The US military confirmed the retaliatory strikes on an Iranian military facility after Iran fired the missiles and drones toward Kuwait and also Bahrain. Meanwhile, in an interview with the New York Post, President Trump confirmed the validity of an Axios report and claimed that he had a tense call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

You had a phone call with Bibi Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, in which you were angry with him. You said, are you effing crazy? What are you effing doing? Is that true? Did you speak to him in those terms? I did. I wouldn't say angry. I was a little bit perturbed at his Constantly fighting with Lebanon, you know. At some point I said, maybe we gotta stop this, we gotta stop it. But I have a very good relationship. We've done well, done well together.

Protests are spreading in the UK over the police handling of the stabbing of 18-year-old Henry Novak. The protests have sometimes taken on a violent bent with injuries to both police and protesters. Conservative lawmakers and protesters say police ignored Novak's pleas for help because he was white. Reform Party leader Nigel Farage has called for action against a, quote, two-tier system of policing.

Following the horrendous circumstances of Henry Novak's death, can I urge the Prime Minister to consider this? It is now clear to growing millions in this country that we're living under two-tier policing.

Liberal Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called for a crackdown on knife crime in the country. Though he's notably refused to reconsider a legal exemption that allows Sikhs to carry ceremonial knives like the one used to kill Novak. Millions of votes are still yet to be counted in California. In the race for California governor, with about 60% of the vote in by Wednesday afternoon, Republican Steve Hilton led the pack with Democrat Javier Becerra just a few points behind, while another Democrat, billionaire Tom Steyer, is in third. Hilton was optimistic about the early returns in a video he posted this morning.

In the race for LA mayor, independent Spencer Pratt has made a strong effort to lead America's second largest city. With just over 60% of the vote in, the reality TV personality is in second. Election analysts say that incumbent mayor Karen Bass has secured a spot to the general, but Her failure to win an outright majority is a sign of the frustration in LA with her leadership. Behind Pratt in third is City Councilmember Nithya Raman, a former Bass ally and member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Senate candidate Graham Plattner's sexting scandal has now drawn attention to the sordid past of his chief strategist. Daily Wire reporter Drew Berkmeier has the story.

Morris Katz has been called the political mastermind behind the Zohran Mamdani campaign. Now he's trying to repeat his success with Graham Plattner in Maine. The 26-year-old Katz drew major criticism for reports that he threatened a former campaign staffer after she revealed Plattner's history of sexting women outside of his marriage. Katz's own history is now making headlines. The strategist has previously admitted to sending lewd photos of himself to multiple individuals. Katz also published a children's book in 2020 intended to teach young boys about sex. The book, marketed to children as young as 10, included a chapter titled "The Magic of Masturbation." Katz has also jokingly lamented that the publisher would not allow him to include pictures of his own penis in the book. Despite mounting scandals, Plattner is still endorsed by Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders.

A Democratic candidate with ties to terrorism has won his party's primary for a US House seat in New Jersey. Daily Wire reporter Zach Jewell has more.

Adam Hammawi, a plastic surgeon, won a crowded primary yesterday in New Jersey's deep blue 12th Congressional District. He led the pack in fundraising, boosted by endorsements from high-profile Democrats such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Bernie Sanders. And he received that support despite having previously served as translator for Omar Abdelrahman, known as the, quote, "Blind Sheik," the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Hammawi also testified in defense of the Blind Sheik at his 1995 trial before Rahman was sent to prison for terrorism and seditious conspiracy. Hammawi has dismissed questions about his past as, quote, guilt by association shaming.

Here are the Daily Wire exclusive on the so-called hunger strike in ICE's Delaney Hall is lifestyle reporter Lauren Baer.

Democrats claim that inmates at Delaney Hall are on a hunger strike, but a different story is playing out inside the facility. Inmates are refusing to eat their regular meals and buying candy bars instead. New data obtained by the Daily Wire shows that commissary sales at Delaney Hall more than doubled from May 26th to June reaching total sales of over $30,000. President Trump's border czar, Tom Homan, visited the facility and confirmed that inmates were eating candy bars and that, quote, "There was never a hunger strike." The claim that there was a hunger strike stems from allegations of poor conditions inside the facility, where Democratic lawmakers have claimed that there were worms in the food given to inmates.

CBS News has fired 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley after the veteran newsman picked a fight with his bosses at a Monday staff meeting. Daily Wire assistant editor Andy Valdez has more.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Pelley interrupted the new executive producer of 60 Minutes, Nick Bilton, during his introductory remarks. Pelley questioned Bilton's credentials and also accused CBS News editor-in-chief Barry Weiss of, quote, murdering the show. After an attempt to mediate with Pelley, Bilton Weiss, and CBS News President Tom Zorowski, Pelley was fired. He called the leadership at the network, quote, "no longer recognizable." Weiss addressed Pelley's ousting this morning with CBS News staff, explaining that the foundation of trust and mutual respect with Pelley was, quote, "broken." The GOP scored a midterm win in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The court issued an emergency order allowing Alabama to use a congressional map likely to benefit Republicans in upcoming elections. The map was adopted by the state legislature in 2023 and leaves all but one of the state's 7 congressional districts favoring the GOP. That gives Republicans a chance to pick up one additional House seat in November. Republican Governor Kay Ivey commended the Supreme Court's decision, calling it, quote, "a win for the people of Alabama and our elections." President Trump is calling out the judge who ordered his name to be removed from the Kennedy Center. Daily Wire assistant editor Nathan Gay reports.

New details have come to light revealing that Judge Christopher Cooper apparently married his wife in a ceremony officiated by Merrick Garland. That wife, Amy Jeffress, represented Lisa Page during the FBI texting scandal, helped the January 6th Committee, and now serves as Joe Biden's personal attorney. Her former law firm also represented E. Jean Carroll against President Trump. The president said in response that Cooper has, quote, a total conflict of interest and asserts he can't be treated fairly in Cooper's court.

The Trump administration has plans to place new tariffs on dozens of countries and the EU. Daily Wire homepage managing editor Jordan Schroeder has the latest.

Late Tuesday, the Office of the US Trade Representative said tariffs of 10 or 12.5% will be placed on economies that have failed to police products of forced labor. Canada, Mexico, the UK, Japan, and China were included as targets. As well as dozens of others singled out in a U.S. investigation into global forced labor practices. Some of the targets have already challenged the findings. The chair of the European Parliament's trade committee, Bernd Lange, called the investigation's findings absurd. The tariff announcement follows a February Supreme Court decision that nullified the sweeping emergency tariffs the president announced last year.

Two scientists were caught sneaking 113 vials of monkeypox into the U.S. Here with more is Daily Wire reporter Jacob Wheeler.

Vincent Munster and Claude Koué, two scientists affiliated with the NIH, were charged with conspiracy to smuggle monkeypox into the United States from the Republic of Congo and giving false statements to federal investigators. The pair arrived at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after traveling from the Republic of Congo, where a monkeypox outbreak was ongoing. They claimed the case contained diagnostic and testing equipment, but in fact it housed 113 biological vials. Upon examination of 20 of them, 17 were filled with deactivated monkeypox, 1 with chickenpox, and 1 with human DNA, U.S. Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon Jr. wrote in a statement saying, quote, these NIH experts apparently broke our laws by smuggling viral pathogens on a packed commercial airplane from an outbreak in the Republic of Congo. Let that sink in. No motive was given. If convicted, both men face a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison.

And according to his son, Clint Eastwood has officially retired from Hollywood.

The superstar just turned 96 years old, celebrating his birthday just this past Sunday.

He began his career over 7 decades ago with his first appearance on the 1960s television show Rawhide. He then shot to stardom across several classic Westerns including Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy, and eventually moved to directing as well. And while we're all hoping for another return from the American icon, it seems Eastwood is taking his own advice from another of his classics, 1973's Magnum Force.
