Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast, with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
Oh!
Yeah!
Okay, I'm amazed.
Yeah, that's pretty good.
Oh man, that looks so good!
I mean, I'm the Fantasy Reaper.
Welcome into the show.
Happy Halloween, everybody!
I mean, the set—
Halloween!
We don't know about this stuff.
No!
I wonder you stayed late, Al. Which, by the way, if you're just joining us, you've got Mr. Butterfly Stretch himself.
You got Stretching Out Boys, keep them groins nice and loose, you know what I'm saying?
Nobody knows—
Do that Butterfly Stretch!
Nobody—
What is the voice? That's your character?
I am the Fantasy Reaper.
Yes.
I have taken names all year long.
Oh, you tried to take another one from us.
Are you blaming me for Christian Watson?
Yeah.
Well, I let go of my grasp upon him, and he came back to the stadium.
I overpowered you.
And we've got Ted!
Oh! It's 1999!
Ted!
Yeah, yeah.
Ted Hurst!
Can you feel it?
Ted Hurst! The dream come true for Mike.
I don't have a mustache, and it's really gross.
Oh, you look real—well, you look gross.
It's like my Cam Scataboo last year.
I came downstairs and had a regret.
The wife was not happy about it.
Yeah, you did it! That makes me happy.
Yeah!
The Deucers, we've got Packer Game Referee. Oh, look at all the flags.
Author of the script, very nice.
Oh, Al Borlin with thousands of flags for the Packer Game.
Yeah, that's why you won last night.
Oh, he threw a flag on us.
I'm saving this.
And the electrical substation, the Falcon dressed up as the electrical substation himself. I know for a fact he's very uncomfortable in that outfit, which makes me very, very happy. Welcome into the show.
Papa Josh dressed up as deceased man.
The Invisible Man's army.
Yes, the Invisible Man.
He is Kevin Bacon from that one Hollowman movie.
Yeah, Hollowman.
Oh, man.
Smash it. Superb costume.
Yes! We had a Thursday night football game.
Can we get Kyle on the screen?
Oh, that's a good question.
Is that part of our production capabilities?
We'll look into it.
Sure.
We'll look into it.
Because he looks amazing.
News to talk about, guys. The game last night, Fantasy Forecast, Wheel of Shame.
It's hard to even—what else do you talk about in this game? But the dog! The dog of all dogs!
Back from the hospital.
You can't mean Josh Jacobs. I know that for a fact.
You talk about the touchdown machine?
Oh, Jason. Jason.
He's a touchdown machine, man.
Just caping.
Yeah.
Coping as hard as he possibly can.
Did he—how did he do for Fantasy?
39 yards rushing.
Yeah, okay.
20 Fantasy points.
90 out of 90. There have been 90 games in which somebody had 20 carries, and that was the least efficient game of all of them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But—
But what do you do with that?
That just sucks.
What do you do with that? 21 for 39 on the ground.
Oh.
Oh, yeah.
Trying to get stuff on the fly over here.
You got to leave that in.
I'll just get a screen grab of that.
Yeah, yeah, do that.
There you go. That's so much smarter.
So, Josh, did you say the part where you—
Oh, that was amazing.
So, Jacobs had 27 touches.
27. For 52 yards, the fewest yards per touch in Packer's history for a player with 25 or more touches in the game.
To be fair to him, he looks super fat.
Yeah, and not good at football.
And is outscoring Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffrey, James Cook.
On this week?
No, on a per-game basis. He's played through two games.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
He's averaging 18.9 points per game.
Would you want to play the bank on it game?
He's basically averaging what Bijon's averaging.
Look, eight games for the Packers, nobody has surpassed 50 yards rushing in eight games for the Packers.
Yeah.
It is an offensive line problem, as much as I would like to just blame Fat Thor.
Oh.
The flags.
I got another flag for saying bad things about the Packers.
That's right.
I can't say much bad. I mean, you had—it was Tucker Craft Day.
Yeah.
I mean, 6 for 53 and a touchdown.
Yeah.
Matthew Golden, the infinitely targeted Matthew Golden, 7 for 79 and a touchdown.
So, okay, it's going to sound rude, and is he really that good?
He is that good at being open all the time.
Okay, okay.
Yes.
I will accept that, because—woof.
Well, it's crazy, because he drops a touchdown. It wasn't over the shoulder. It was tough. And then he just comes back and gets wide open again for another touchdown.
Yeah.
Everybody knows that Golden's going to get every target, and it doesn't even matter, because he's just open all the time.
Yep.
Do you have a picture of Rufio from Hook?
Oh, look at him!
Look at that.
Look at Rufio.
That is fantastic.
Bang-a-rang.
So, we had Golden, and then you had the man, the dog, Christian Watson.
I've never seen anything like it.
Puts up a hundo in like five seconds, goes to the hospital.
Coughing up blood.
With his broken ribs.
He apparently has a broken rib, was coughing up blood. He didn't want to go.
A lot of people get surgery for that.
But they took him. They said, "We have to go check something out." And they went to the hospital. I guess they checked it, and everything was good. And then, like a WWE superstar, he just kicks open the door of the ambulance.
I mean, it's—
And gets back on the field and gets targeted with a hospital ball immediately. Jordan Love, what was that? You already sent him to the hospital.
It was the dream when you have a player go out injured to have him return. Like, people thought maybe this was over for weeks. It's not like Watson hasn't had piles of injuries. On the other side, Chubut was absolutely a dominator. Seven catches, 22 carries, a touchdown, 81 yards on the ground. Jalen Coker saved his day with a touchdown at the end on fourth down. They could not give Bryce Young a moment in the pocket.
Yeah, I would make fun of Chubut's inefficiencies, but—
That was pretty good.
But compared to Josh Jacobs, he was an absolute superstar.
He actually, I mean, he was over a four carry. Or four carry on the dot. So, right?
Chubut?
Yeah.
No. You need to learn how to math again, man.
20 carries for 80 yards might—
22 carries for 81 yards.
That's—
Oh, man, he's so far off.
Are you kidding me?
That's 3.7. That's under four. In the world of yards per carry, the decimal matters a ton.
I'm just saying, you know 20 for 80 is four.
Right, but that's pretty—
22 for 81. No, I know. But it's pretty close. It's pretty dang close.
He had a—
His inefficiencies are a matter of two carries for one yard.
He had a great game. I mean, he played well, got a touchdown.
And he kept breaking tackles the whole game.
Seven receptions for 38 yards.
Yeah.
It was really worth it.
How many carries were losses in the backfield where there were four defenders four yards deep? I mean, he had big plays. He had an 18-yard run. He caught the ball.
The offensive line was horrendous. I tweeted out because, look, because Bryce Young sucked. And I was like, man, did the clock strike midnight on Bryce Young?
Fellas, I struck a nerve.
Oh, really?
The Bryce Young hive.
They are out there?
Oh, my God. The pitchforks were out for me. They're like, you don't know ball. You don't know ball. You don't know ball. It's like, I get it. The offensive line is horrible.
Yeah, it is.
It's horrible. Like, the pressure rate was, I think, in the mid-40%.
He wasn't good, though.
That's the thing.
It was a combination.
He was good if you got out of the pocket every once in a while, but—
I thought it was interesting for Bryce who, like, completion percentage-wise, has not been good now for, so, three weeks. Since the bye week, he completed 51% of his passes, 52 and 56%. 200 yards at 56% completion rate. Like, that's old Bryce Young. That's the Bryce Young that isn't good enough. So, it was very funny to me of, like, they're like, no, everything is just the offensive line's fault.
Is it? Is it?
The offensive line is terrible for Jordan Love.
Terrible?
Right.
Jordan Love has maybe—
Not compared to the Panthers last night. The pressure rate was very different.
Yeah.
But people have bad offensive lines.
They're so tall.
Yeah, no, I am the Fantasy Reaper.
It's weird looking over and looking—
Yeah, I'm large. I'm very large.
Thank you, Kyle. Some quarterbacks pressured on a higher percent of dropbacks than Bryce Young this year: Josh Allen, Drake May, Jaden Daniels.
Hmm.
Oh, he's coming after you, Bryce Truthers.
Look, I want Bryce Young—
He could have made more plays. It was a tough environment. You're in Lambo.
I want Bryce Young to be good.
Yeah.
We all want Bryce to be good.
We want to be able to count on Ted and Coker and things like that.
Yes, absolutely.
It is Friday.
Foot Clan Friday.
Oh, my gosh. See, now I'm—we didn't know any of this was going to happen. Now I'm excited for every drop. And if you didn't do every drop—
Oh, yeah.
That's going to be a problem.
Hey, check this out.
Well, not every drop.
It's one show, man.
I know.
That's a lot of work.
For sure.
$100 gift card every week to a Foot Clan supporter for—
This one's extra spooky.
From jointhefoot.com. It's not spooky, Mike. It's Spawny633.
No, I was saying the gift card.
Oh, I got you. I thought you thought the name was spooky.
I don't even have the name in front of me.
Spawny633, congratulations. You get $100 coming your way. Let's talk news.
News and notes from around the league.
These are outst—this is awesome.
Oh, wait, hold on. Add Caleb Williams to the quarterbacks pressured on a higher percentage of dropbacks. I believe, is Caleb the most accurate quarterback in the league right now?
I would be surprised, but—
Sounds like you think he is.
I know that.
I actually don't know that number.
Because Caleb is completing 71% of his passes.
So, no, he is not. It looks like Shedur Sanders is one for one, baby. 100% completion rate.
Oh, damn.
But if you want to go with quarterbacks that are playing, Joe Burrow is leading the way.
All right, okay.
But Caleb is right behind.
Christian Watson confirmed dog. We talked about it. He seems like he's okay. We'll monitor it this week.
I mean, yeah.
DJ Moore, Dalton Kincaid remained limited yesterday.
Gross.
Keep an eye on those.
That's gross.
Lamar Jackson practiced in full. He'll be back. Here's a red alert. Carnell Tate did not practice again on Thursday. Not expected to practice today and is likely to be listed as doubtful.
I got him.
Ladies and gentlemen.
I got him.
Yeah, Carnell Tate is not playing. And so, the Titans are doomed.
Yeah, it's going to be a Halloween horror show for the Titans this week.
Oh, Mike liked it.
Yeah.
That's my line.
I'm waiting for it. Not delivering them. Jameer Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, both listed as healthy and back to full practices, which we thought. Aaron Jones returned to a limited practice, so he may get some time this week.
Okay.
Brees Hall remained limited. It's hot in here, man. It's really hot in this.
Warm in those reapers.
This is my winter reaper outfit, and I needed my summer outfit with the board shorts.
Some sleeveless.
Yeah, I needed the, like, tank.
Sleeveless capes.
The tank version of this thing. Oh, mama. Oh, man. If I died in here, the irony. All right. Brees Hall limited. Braylon Allen upgraded to full. Emeka Abuka, this is a red alert here. We heard he shed the non-contact jersey, and then today, not practicing, and they're expecting him to be listed as out. It's not official yet, but they're not expected to have Abuka back.
I'm curious if this is more.
Baker shed the glove.
Oh, that's good. I'm still not going to start him until after he plays well. I'm curious if this is known to be concussion or because he's got the concussion and the foot issue.
Right.
And I'm just curious which one it is. Because if it was, if we find out that this is for sure, he's not progressing through the concussion protocol.
So.
It would be a little bit scary.
You know what time it is?
Yeah, so you know what player gets an upgrade if Abuka's going to be out, Jay.
Oh, Ted.
He won't leave me crying.
Why? Why did we get another flag?
That was roughing the afro.
Oh, thank you.
Oh, okay. Okay, yeah, Ted Hurst could get a chance to not be started by anybody.
Go home.
AJ Brown downgraded to a DMP on Thursday and is not going to practice Friday.
And this is not his hamstring. This is a.
This is his knee.
Knee issue. This is the knee issue he's dealt with for years. This is the knee issue that the Rams pulled out of their, they were interested in trading for AJ Brown, and then when they looked at the degenerative knee, they decided, we're not going to give up, you know, the capital for that.
What was the knee again?
Degenerative knee.
Oh, there you go.
Yeah.
And so.
We're trying to talk about a serious injury.
This is a show that should be watched, not listened to.
You're playing games with our back screen.
Yeah.
This one, like, this is an uh-oh.
For sure.
This to me is an uh-oh.
You could miss, I mean, this is something that's bugged him for years. That is red alert.
Yeah, I mean, I don't think he's going to play this week.
Treyvo also not seen on Friday either. It was listed as an illness yesterday, but not out there today. I mean, Treyvo is no longer in any starting conversations. He already wasn't.
Yeah, that's fair.
RJ Harvey added to the injury report with a knee injury. Saquon, Devontae Smith, Dontavian, Wicks, all did not practice on Thursday. Saquon was seen practicing today, but Smith and Wicks, who missed last week, that's a cool combo. Smith and Wicks.
Sounds like a good.
What is it selling?
Sounds like a Smith & Wesson.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
It's a brand.
Thank you.
Yeah.
It's a brand.
It's a brand.
You ever heard of Nike? It's a brand.
But Smith and Wicks, I don't know if we can expect them this week right now. And Jadarian Price, the 21-day window is open.
Did you say Wesson?
Yeah, I did.
Like the hotel?
Yeah, I did. I said Smith and Wesson, which is not the brand.
It is a brand, though. Wesson is a brand.
It is.
Yeah.
It's a lovely hotel chain.
Jadarian Price could be back soon. I feel like that news was really all over the place.
Oh, man. Those Seattle Seahawks running backs.
Well, look, I've gone back. I mean, there are a lot of explosive plays from Jadarian Price. His role in this offense is going to be committee, but he's going to make plays on this offense because, you know, and Charbonnets was good enough to take carries from Walker last year, whether you believed he should or shouldn't. They believed in him enough. Like, they're going to give the ball to those guys. They're not going to be in the market to trade for somebody. And we'll see if Price can have a better second half of the year. We'll be right back.
Let's jump into the forecast.
Fantasy Forecast, presented by PrizePicks.
I'm in awe. I'm in awe. If there's one episode a year that you need to go to youtube.com/thefantasyfootballers, it is the Halloween show each and every year. If you want to see Ted Durst reborn. You said you came down the stairs today, and the wife was like, cool, no mustache.
Yeah, and I was like, I did it for the Nuki. She was like, no. Get your mustache.
Oh, man. Matchups we covered yesterday. Ravens, Bills, Titans, Bangles, Cardinals, Cowboys, Vikings, Lions, Raiders, Jets, Browns, Steelers, Falcons, Buccaneers. Six to go. Colts, Jags, starting us off. Colts are two and five, circling the drain, trading their best players. Jacksonville looks good each and every week. Four and two, coming off the bye. 10-point favorites. Over-under is 46 and a half. Wild. Wild. Leading the division. And by, when I say leading the division, Jacksonville is four and two.
The Colts are in second at two and five. Did you realize that?
What?
The Texans are two and five, and the Titans are one and six.
Wow.
So right now, Jacksonville just owns everything. By the way, the Reaper has an Apple Watch. I don't know if you knew that. I noticed that on the camera.
You kind of know what time it is.
That's right.
You got to set your appointments to pick people up.
Trevor Lawrence is my star of the week. Jason, you went with Bashal Tooten. Parker Washington is a must-start every week. Let's say you had to start another pass catcher for Jacksonville.
It would have to be Jacobi Myers.
Is that over Brenton Strange?
I would go with Brenton Strange.
Yeah, I mean, either one is fine. Brenton Strange is probably a more a player that will be started more because he's a tight end. And I've got him as a low-end tight end one right now. He's like my tight end 11 or 12 on the week. So he is startable, whereas obviously I don't have Jacobi Myers in the top 10. But Myers is coming off, you know, a 10-target game. So I would say that he is certainly worthy of being in the mix.
Yeah, he's a flex player. Brenton Strange, over the past three weeks, is getting more involved. We got a 23% target share. We have actual thunder going on.
That was a massive amount of thunder.
It won't come through.
No, but it feels like Halloween.
Yes, this is weird.
The other, did you finish your thought there when the lightning struck?
Yeah.
The other side, question marks galore. How much work does Jonathan Taylor get? And does it say something about the trade? Josh Downs requested a trade. It's really hard for me, not that I would ever start Josh Downs, but I don't know how much he's playing. Keenan Allen, he's here for the records. He's the one dude that could get, I mean, to me, I would play Keenan Allen.
Keenan Allen has also requested Josh Downs get traded.
Yeah, Keenan wants receptions, and I think he's going to get a lot of targets in this game. This is a good matchup for receivers. It's a pass funnel defense. It's very difficult to run on the Jags this year and decently easy to pass on them, and you're going to need to pass the ball. So I actually think both Josh Downs and Keenan Allen with Tyler Warren out are okay plays this week.
Keenan's on the countdown, so.
Well, I mean, Tyler Warren's expected back, isn't he? You just said that Tyler Warren out. I thought he was expected back.
He's been limited this week.
Does that change things for you, Jason, if he plays?
If Tyler Warren is active, I'm less bullish on both of those.
He's turning in the right direction to play, which is what we thought in the beginning of the week.
I'm nervous about Warren.
Yeah, I'm nervous about every single offensive piece here.
Well, I'm just because of the injury.
Yeah, it's a Jacksonville defense that is pretty good. It's a Colts offense that has been pretty much a disaster. This game's not even, you know, it's on the road. I just feel like it could be a bloodbath.
Yeah, I think it will be. I mean, right now, what's the line?
Minus 10.
Yeah, I think that's the expectation, is a good spanking.
The Colts are the only team in the NFL to lead in trail in every single game of the season.
Impressive.
That might not last. The Los Angeles Chargers.
For Jonathan Taylor, sorry. They're like, if we don't trade him, because we want to build around him.
Yeah.
The running back.
Yep.
But what they did was get rid of a legendary guard.
Yeah.
Who still, look, he started.
They got a lot for him.
They did, but I'm saying he's.
They got about a sauce gardener for him.
No, they didn't get two ones.
Quinn?
I feel like they didn't get much for him.
I thought that, I can't remember it, but I remember feeling like it was okay. But my point is like, you're building around a running back, and yet you made your defense worse and your offensive line worse.
Right.
Like.
Yeah, I mean, it seems like they're.
Does not compute.
It seems like they're tearing it down.
Does not compute.
He's still the face of the franchise. I keep going back and forth on whether or not he's going to get traded.
I do, I don't know.
But as of this moment, I think they just have to trade him.
Well, the rumor mill is.
Was it a three and a five?
Yeah, it was a three and a five.
Yeah, I mean, you were going to have to extend him. So the story there was Chris Ballard chose not to extend him, and then you got to.
Well, not Chris Ballard.
Yeah, what's Chris Ballard?
Sure, I'm just saying.
Chris Ballard was the one that decided in the offseason not to extend him. And then, you know, that meant that his commitment to this team long-term, what they were going to do was going to change. So I'm kind of just.
That is insane.
Yeah, we are getting the most lightning and thunder I've ever heard in Arizona.
I think you're bringing it, man.
I'm not sure.
Or maybe it's the substation.
Yeah, I feel terrible about starting anybody on the Indianapolis Colts outside of just playing Jonathan Taylor.
We did just get Tyler Warren will play.
Okay, so he's active.
I'm nervous.
Good timing.
The Chargers 0 and 6, the Rams 3 and 4, Vegas Lion, Los Angeles minus 6 and a half. What? That's wrong. Yeah, somebody put that in wrong. There's no way the Chargers are favored. That would be the Rams, by 6 and a half. The over-unders 45 and a half. I watched the doc live update in front of me. One letter off, he said. Yeah, that's true.
Dude, it's just like a decimal for the yards per carry. Like, it's just one. Just one. It's a little tiny little detail.
You're trying to argue that 20 for 80 and 22 for 81 are vastly different.
Yes, I am.
Jason.
It's not vastly different.
That's wild.
Okay.
Goodness gracious. The Chargers. Where are we? We get to play the Rams.
McDaniel's still employed. That's where we are.
When Harbaugh was the quarterback for the Chargers, they went 1 and 15. That was the last time he in any capacity lost seven consecutive games. It was 26 years ago.
The offense for the Chargers, I don't think people, like, we know it's been bad, but it is not bad. It is the worst. It is the worst points per game, 32nd, EPA per play, 32nd, EPA per dropback, 32nd, turnovers per drive, 32nd. They are abysmally bad.
Who do you start on that team?
I'll start. I'll play Lad. He's a full practice. He's going to be back from the concussion. Maybe the time off.
Yes.
Maybe he's a little healed. We've only seen a healthy Lad.
A little bit healed?
Maybe. We've only seen a healthy Lad McConkey for part of one game.
Yeah.
And he was very good. Like, he is incredibly important to this offense. He's talented. I will still play him if he's active. Everybody else.
Hard pass. Hampton, hard pass.
If I can get away with it. I don't want to start any other Chargers.
I'm hopeful that, you know, coming out of the bye, maybe they helped figure out the offensive line a little bit, because that's the core issue here. The pressure, they can't run. There's, you know, the offensive line has been bad. You can't pass, because every time he drops back to pass, he's got guys in his face. Hopefully, they fixed some of the offensive line scheme issues or whatever it is, but until we see that, it's kind of like Baker. Like, I want a game proven once.
I got some names for you.
Okay. Well, and by the way, Herbert's prize picks projection on passing yards is 202. That is the third lowest of any quarterback.
That makes sense.
I mean, the.
That's disgusting.
It just feels like not going to be the first twin.
Okay. Hampton or Jonah Coleman against Kansas City?
Oh, against Kansas City?
Hampton's against the Rams.
That's a brutal decision. I would play Hampton.
Jonah. Man. Let's see. Jeremiah Love if he's back.
Jeremiah Love I think is a great play this week.
Jordan Mason against Detroit.
Aaron Jones is going to play. Detroit stops the run. I'll play Jordan Mason.
Well said, Andy. Well said.
We're getting annihilated.
This is unbelievable. I don't think this is going to come through in the audio, but we've done this. We've been in this studio for.
I think all of our cars have exploded with hail at this point.
For like six years, seven years. We've never had what's going on outside like this.
No. There's a decent chance the power goes out.
True.
Because the substation's here. No, I think Hampton or Braylon Allen in a committee. That's the last one before I talk about the Rams.
Is Bruce Hall going to be back? I mean, he's been limited all week. I think he was getting limited practices in last week too. So trend-wise, it would seem like he would, but there's a chance.
You got battery backup, right?
A little bit. Aaron Glenn says something.
Let me throw a flag on that. Oh, I can't reach him.
Questionable for the game as he looks to return from a quadricep injury. That's all we got so far.
Oh my God. I didn't say anything, and you're throwing them at me.
His aim was poor. I think he was trying to get it to the Reaper.
Right now, Matthew Stafford and the Rams. Where are you with this offense? You're not going to have Adams for a while, though. There was a report. I want to mention this. The most recent report on Devontae Adams is that they expect him to be towards the front end of the 6 to 10 week situation.
That's good to know.
Which I think would be week 13. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum. Blake Corum's outscored him for three consecutive weeks in terms of average, or the average has been better for three weeks. Kyren's been still very, very good. Both of them, I think you start in this matchup.
Yeah.
Puka Nakua, he might not be 100%, but he's 100% in my lineup.
Yeah, we have five plus catches in 15 consecutive games. That's the longest active streak right now for Puka. I think that's it. I don't know if, well, Kobe Parkinson did not practice Wednesday or Thursday. It narrows it down.
So if Kobe Parkinson was healthy and active, I think I would rather start him over Higbee as a younger guy, more touchdown threat.
I mean, Davis Allen has scored in recent weeks.
If Kobe Parkinson is out, then I think Higbee is someone that you can throw in there again.
I think you've got enough options at tight end to not mess around with what feels like a feast or famine situation.
I'd play Okonkwo over the Rams guys.
Yep.
I'd play Mayor over the Rams guys.
Friar-Muth?
Yeah.
I think I would.
I mean, you can try to go back to the well there, but that's not an area where the Chargers have been vulnerable at all. They're number two in the league against tight end.
Yeah, for schedule.
That concerns me. Like, I would at least want it to be favorable if I'm taking that risk.
Sure.
I don't know if, Jason, you play Chig over Higbee.
I would play Chig, yeah. I mean, genuinely, no joke.
What about Chigby?
I have this question in our league of record. Chigby, if I can get both. And we don't have those other level guys on the waivers right now. So, like, you know, the question is Mark Andrews, Mike Gasici, Cade Otten, Darren Waller. Those are the names that you're going to be choosing between the Rams guys.
Well, yeah, fair.
You know, the Rams guys versus that level of player.
By the way, Matthew Stafford, if you weren't aware, because the Rams have been kind of a weird story so far this year, he is ahead of pace for passing yardage from his MVP season. He's leading the league. So there is opportunity every week. It's just being spread around. Like you said, you had a Parkinson, Higbee, Davis Allen, Mumfield, you know, different players. Both running backs are catching passes. But Stafford kind of fits the mold to me of, like, the you brought up Darnold second half. Like, Stafford's kind of being completely ignored.
He's probably a spot start, emergency start type of guy.
He is, but this is the most perfect Matthew Stafford line. Last week against the Las Vegas Raiders, the team scored 35 points. He threw three touchdowns, and he was the quarterback 12 with 17 and a half points. He only had 195, so that's low for him compared to the rest of the year. But it's like three passing touchdowns, and you sneak into the top 12?
The Chiefs are five and one. They go to Denver to take on the five and two Broncos who got right against Arizona, because all teams do. Vegas line, Kansas City minus one and a half, over-under 40 and a half. It's a battle for the top of the AFC West division. This is the game where Kinbone went wild in week one, 31 to 10. I am not scared of Denver's rushing defense anymore. They are not good. And you can look to, you know, even the Cardinals last week, you know, Bam not getting opportunities.
The Cardinals didn't have their top guys. There were still a handful of plays where it was like, man, this doesn't seem like the same rushing defense. They're 23rd on the year in fantasy points allowed. A little bit more middle of the pack when you adjust for when you look at adjusted, but I am not afraid is what I'm saying. Ken Walker should be able to bounce back in this one. Mahomes, I'm afraid, I wouldn't be playing him against Denver.
Agreed.
Rashi Rice, if he came back, are you going right back to the well with Rice, or are you trying to, like, Caleb Douglas or Rashi Rice? Douglas off of the big game.
I'd still play Rice.
Yeah, at that level, I'd go Rice. I'm not looking to shove him in the lineup, though, coming back off of the hamstring issue that has kept him out.
Omar Cooper, waiver hotness against the Raiders.
I would go Omar Cooper. I think both have the chance, you know, for big games. Rashi Rice has the chance for reaggravating the hamstring issue that's kept him out. And this isn't a good matchup. I agree with you. You can run on the Broncos, but their pass defense is, you know, one of the better ones out there.
Makai Lemmon, waiver hotness against Washington.
Ah, man.
With Wicks and.
It seems like they will not play him.
I think I'm probably missing.
I think I go Makai.
Okay.
Jonah Coleman, part of the storyline here with Denver on that side. Bo Nix.
Jonah Coleman, I have a very important question, Jason. His prize picks projection.
Oh, gosh.
It's 55.5.
We round down, baby!
That was the question. Yeah, I wasn't sure if he was willing to do it.
Yeah. Do you see Dobbins' sarcastic locker room comments with the.
He came off looking not good.
Spicy.
Yeah.
I mean, he thought he was going to get them.
No, it was a bad look to me. Like, I've always liked J.K. Dobbins, and I was like.
He was excuse-making or, like, kind of trying to justify.
He was making them tell him how good he was.
Yeah.
He was like, how did I do? How was my run? He was like, what was my average? I was dominating. Then we blew him out, and, you know, I got some more rest. And maybe that is what happened. Genuinely, you can make an argument that Dobbins was first man up and got more work early, and when they were blowing out the Cardinals, then, you know, that was more where Jonah Coleman took over.
Maybe.
Maybe. But also, Jonah Coleman is a potential future, and J.K. Dobbins isn't. And J.K. Dobbins has been terrible. Maybe you were okay in the beginning of that game against the Arizona Cardinals, but you have been terrible this year. So I think they have to move Jonah Coleman in, especially as a team that is considering. They're one of the teams that has reportedly called on Jonathan Taylor. They've been in the hunt over the last couple of years. Every time a big name.
They wanted Walker.
They wanted Walker. They wanted Christian McCaffrey when he was up for it. So if I'm them, I've got to throw Jonah Coleman out there and say, let's see what we got in this dude if we really try to rely on him.
Dobbins is 3.4 a carry. Are you starting Dobbins or Coleman if you had them both? Because a lot of Dobbins managers have picked up Coleman.
I think I would go Coleman over Dobbins.
Yeah, I will.
Talent, at least. I wouldn't bet on Coleman getting more work than Dobbins. Getting the first touch over Dobbins, none of that. But if they both got 10 carries, I would certainly bet that Jonah Coleman would do more with them.
Yeah, this is not a full confidence. I'm saying Coleman, I believe that Coleman's going to take over. Jalen Waddle, limited on Thursday with the chest injury. Only one game in seven weeks as a top 24 pick.
Out of my life.
Or top 24 finish. So you're not messing around.
No.
No, neither am I. The New England Patriots at four and three. Drake Maye on fire, taking on the one and five Dolphins. Just got the first dub. Games in Miami. Vegas line is New England. Minus seven over-under is 43 and a half. Only 18 implied points for Miami. New England going on the road to take on the Dolphins. We heard all the news about AJ Brown. It doesn't seem like I'm at the point with AJ Brown based on the performances, the way he looks. And now this news, if he's active, I'm not playing him.
What do you think about that?
I think that's fine in this game. I mean, the Dolphins have not given up any good games to wide receivers on the season, basically.
Because people can just win other ways.
Yeah, they can win other ways. They've got a good corner. So yeah, I mean, if he plays, I'm not playing him. And, you know, there might be areas here where, you know, maybe if you're doing prize picks and you want to look Pop Douglas' way or Hunter Henry's way or whatever because they'll get a little bit more work. I think Hunter Henry is a great play. But I'm not sure that I would want in my leagues to start just because AJ Brown is out. I'm not going to go ahead and throw another wide receiver in this match.
With confidence in this match. Yeah. So Drake Maye, Ramon Ray Stevenson, and Hunter Henry are your three Patriots?
Yes.
And Henry, I do feel strongly about it. I play him over Kincaid. I play him over Strange. I think pits is a discussion depending on whether you want some more upside. Like Henry's not going to go off for 89 yards and two touchdowns. But he will go like seven for 54 with a chance at a touchdown. Yeah. On the other side.
Corey Kyner.
Go ahead.
Corey Kyner should be stashed.
Sure. Absolutely.
Nothing finer.
Corey Kyner, running back for the New England Patriots. He's gotten a couple carries here and there over the last few weeks. Looks like he's got some juice. And with everything that's going on with Travion Henderson of him being bad at football, being injured, seeming like the team has just they're losing their patience with Henderson.
They want to trade him.
Have you seen him pick Kyner up?
They do.
He can't block a thing.
It's unbelievable.
You put him out there and you feel more incompetent as an offense in totality.
I mean, you can't have him block. You cannot. If you put him out there, put him out there. And we've seen this with other players where the way that they help pass protect is a leak out. And you dump it over. Don't let him block anybody because he can't do it. I had my head in my hands.
That's tough though because then the defense knows when Travion comes in, it's a play for him.
I mean, it's just, it's really, really tough, especially for a player who in college was known as a great pass protector. I don't know what happened. They need to trade him. Please, Patriots, trade him. Trade Travion Henderson and give him. I'm not saying he'll be better somewhere else and figure it out, but dude needs a fresh start. He's not going to work.
Yeah, give him a chance.
Ollie Gordon, he is a must start at this point. He just gets too much work. Caleb Douglas, he was a hot pickup this week. He's looked good in his two starts. You finally get consecutive starts where he's healthy. I don't think it's the end of the world to throw him out there as a flex this week. I thought that Malik looked better last week. Not good. Not going to go that far, but he won.
I think they've scored over 20 points in back-to-back weeks.
I don't think it is going to be easy to do that against this Patriots team, but yeah, I mean, Caleb Douglas, he.
Would you play him or Metcalf?
I'd play Metcalf.
Okay, I thought so. But would you play Ted Hurst or Caleb Douglas?
No, no.
So I'm very excited that Baker's glove is gone and he may be throwing the ball a bit more, but so Caleb is like kind of more desperation flex for you?
Can you feel it?
Yeah, but I think he's a fun one to throw in there. Sometimes you put a desperation flex where you're like.
Antonio Williams, my sleeper, or Caleb?
I would go.
I'd be Williams.
I would go Caleb.
Okay.
Yeah. All right. Let's take a break and we've got some Sunday night, Monday night football to talk through and we still have the fantasy face-off. All right, at home, obviously, during that break, you were probably butterfly stretching like we were.
Stretch them out, please.
So hopefully your groins.
Keep those groins loose.
Keep your groins great. That's what we always say. Philadelphia two and five, Sunday night football taking on the one four and one Commanders. Vegas line is Washington minus six over under 40.
Someone has to win.
That's how that line feels. Goodness gracious. The Philadelphia offense is dead last in yards per play this year. Sean Manion might need to start updating his LinkedIn profile.
Yeah, I'm sorry. No, it's fine. He was a good quarterback. I never said he was a good offensive coordinator.
You hoped.
He was a good quarterback, huh?
Yeah, college. I was going to say, like a lot of years of not starting. Jaden Daniels.
You guys ever see Derek Henry's high school stats? Pretty good.
What are your starts at difficulties in this one? Because I feel like Philadelphia is basically, we could spend the rest of the show discussing the disgusting with Philadelphia. What do you do at running back? What do you do at wide receiver? What do you do with Tanner McKee?
The Philadelphia running back situation is difficult of.
I mean, Pierce is on IR.
Yeah, so it seemed like it was going to be easy. Halfway through the game last week when Barkley re-injured himself and Damian Pierce was getting all the work. You're like, okay, he'll be a top waiver pickup. And then he has an undisclosed injury, takes him out, he goes to the locker room, he goes on to IR. So he's gone. Elijah Mitchell had been brought up and then Elijah Mitchell is getting all the work at the end of the game. And yet now Jaden Blue is on the active roster, but Elijah Mitchell was put back on the practice squad.
That's just transactional.
I think so. I do believe that it's going to be Elijah Mitchell as next man up should Saquon not be able to go. And even if, okay, I guess.
Would you say one place, are you even going to play Barkley after he scores?
If Barkley plays, I'll play Barkley. If Barkley doesn't play, I'm not playing anyone.
I think it would be the Commanders are the third worst matchup for fantasy running backs right now.
Yeah, exactly. No, that's why I'm not playing anyone else. Barkley is good enough if he's healthy. He's not going to play though.
He's not healthy.
But I mean, I feel like this is a hypothetical that's not happening. He didn't practice yesterday, didn't practice Wednesday.
Well, I bet you he's playing.
You think so?
I do.
I'm saying, I think he could be active, but he's not healthy. And it's a Sunday night game, so you would be.
I'll be shocked if he doesn't start the game. I'd be nervous about playing him.
If you're locked into Barkley this week, it's Sunday night, you need to have an escape hatch.
Yeah, if you're going that route, then you can have Elijah Mitchell.
I guess, yeah.
You know, available on 200% of leagues.
Sir, not in the league of record.
Oh, man.
You're on it.
Makai Lemon was seven for 67. Would you rather play Makai Lemon or Caleb Douglas?
Makai Lemon.
Yeah, I'll go Lemon. If Smith or Wicks are active, does that change?
Yeah, a little bit.
Yeah, for sure. Both of those guys have not practiced at all this week, so.
You guys ever been in a place that's 200 to 250 degrees Celsius?
Yeah.
Well, I mean, it makes sense.
My old body.
I mean.
It was warm in that thing.
My old body. You should have dressed up as your old self for Halloween.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
Give me a month, I could do it.
No, I mean, you're working out obviously with the butterfly stretches and the.
Yeah, staying loose.
Yeah, look at him. You're a little more tan today too.
Yeah.
Oh boy. You messing around with Darius Cooper if Smith and Wicks are out?
No.
I would expect this to be the game where like that bounces around. You know, it's a Goddard, it's a Cooper, it's a Lemon. We'll see. Rashad White.
Goddard should be fine. He had seven targets last week at tight end. A good matchup.
Yeah, should be fine.
The other side, Rashad White should be starting a football game. 2026. A game, not only a football game, guys. A football game in which the Commanders are six-point favorites. You got to play Rashad White.
Yeah, you probably do. He should get enough work. And while the Eagles.
Over Hampton, yes.
The Eagles are a good run defense. And usually because their offense is good, they're able to like lock people down. But their offense is not kept up. The other teams have the lead. The other teams are winning. And so you continue to rush.
They looked so bad last week.
Well, that's what I mean. Now they're middle of the pack. And I think a lot of that is their offense. Their offensive struggles has hurt their defense. So I'm not scared at all. It's not a matchup I'm avoiding.
Mike, you are confident in digs as a start of the week. I've got Chigga Conkwo. So we have a couple of pass catching options for Jaden. Does that make Jaden a pretty solid start this week? You guys would always play him.
I'd play Jaden, yeah.
And then if you're looking for a sleeper, Antonio Williams this week could be interesting. Would you play him over Lemon, Mike? Or would you go to Lemon just with the.
If the injuries matter for that decision.
We're finally going to see this team without McLaurin as part of the game plan.
Yeah.
Man.
It's a tough one.
I think I do. I think I'm going to play Antonio Williams. Regardless, Williams being available in leagues going into this weekend is silly. He should be stashed in every single league.
He absolutely should be rostered in case.
Stashed in every single league.
Yes, in case the game plan is now without Terry McLaurin, we are putting Antonio Williams into more of that role. I would personally definitely be on the Makai Lemon start decision just because of a consolidation of targets. If you like Chigga and you like Stefan Diggs, maybe it is Antonio Williams and those other two guys. You don't know. On the Eagles side, assuming that Devontae Smith and Dontavian Wicks don't play, I mean, Makai Lemon should have a more guaranteed workload. And I think he's a better receiver.
Yeah, Kyle DeBorgogian, by the way.
More than Tanner McKee.
Fair. Kyle DeBorgogian would like, he said he feels sad about his life knowing he's going to start.
Rashad White.
Rashad White over Amari and Hampton in real life, which is depressing.
That is abysmal.
The Bears and Seahawks face off on Monday night football. Five and two Bears who just made the big acquisition of Jeffrey Simmons. The four and three Seahawks who looked like their old selves last week when it comes to the defensive side.
This one's in Seattle.
Yeah, it's in Seattle. They're favored by three. The overrunner's 46 and a half. The odds to win the NFC right now, the 49ers are favored. The Seahawks are second. The Rams are third. The Vikings are now fourth and the Bears are fifth.
Wow. The Vikings are ahead of the Bears.
Seattle's defense is number one in yards per game allowed. They looked absolutely unstoppable, or I should say they stopped everything last week. It makes for some interesting ceiling discussions around the Bears' offense this week on Monday night football. I cannot see a world where the Bears come out and boat race Seattle.
I don't either.
So it's, you know, Seattle at this point, you know, the Seattle defense is entering that category where you're like, I'm just going to play them no matter what.
As a PSD, yeah.
Against anybody.
Correct.
Because they're just that good. And they can make that, you know, they make one big play. Caleb's got a lot on his shoulders this week.
This is brutal. I think this is brutal. We've been talking about the Vikings like, man, can you really start guys against the Vikings? They've just been shutting everybody down. The Seahawks are just as good. And this one is in Seattle. I mean, right now when you adjust for schedule, they're number two against quarterbacks, number one against wide receivers, number three against tight ends, number five against running backs.
Would you be playing, like, were you saying you'd play Minnesota against Detroit? In Detroit? Because it's a, like, would you play the Minnesota defense?
Yeah, they're one of those teams where right now I am willing to play them regardless of matchup.
So where's the confidence level on Burden, Loveland, Odunsay, Swift?
They're all, well, not all, sorry. Swift is a must play. Colston Loveland is a must play. And Burden and Odunsay are, I can't imagine I have someone else on my roster that I'm playing over them. Maybe Rome.
Jason is the only pass catcher you care about for Seattle.
Yeah.
Emmanuel Wilson, the only running back you care about this week?
Certainly, unless we hear that Price or Charbonnets are active.
Would that change Emmanuel Wilson for you?
It would. I like Emmanuel Wilson when he's getting 24 carries, but that's not going to happen if these other guys are active. I don't believe.
Would you play Keenan Allen or Rome Odunsay?
Keenan.
Okay, I would too. I was making sure. Kyle, do we know if Jeffrey Simmons will be active? I assume not with the trade just happening.
They're still discussing right now.
Okay, that makes sense. Mike Vrabel, injury updates for you. AJ Brown is going to be listed as questionable. We'll see where he's at tomorrow before traveling to Miami. Travo, questionable. Brian Robinson Jr., backup for the Falcons, out. Shane Steichen confirming that Josh Downs' trade request was made. And despite that, he's going to play. And then Jonathan Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, despite the trade rumors, will be playing as well.
Well, maybe they will highlight Josh Downs to get him that trade.
This year has been punishment. Yes, it has. But we'll find out where Jesus.
Or is the punishment like they actually force targets to Josh Downs? Yeah, I'll tell you what, getting a lot of Daniel Jones targets is a pretty big punishment this year.
Man, it's been rough. All right, face-off time.
Fantasy Face-Off presented by Prize Picks.
All right, you two gentlemen tied last week on the Sunday slate. We were 10 of 12, by the way.
Yeah, we crushed.
And then the tiebreaker ended up being.
Tiebreaker didn't go as well. Don't worry about that.
Mike did not win, therefore he is shamed.
Yes.
Wheel of Shame.
Yeah.
Although not having a mustache now for an extended period of time with just my chin beard. I mean, I'm wearing the shame right now, guys.
We'll put another piece together.
All right, that's fine. I hope it's a mask.
Spin it.
Spin that wheel. Wait, where's the wheel? Where's the wheel?
Oh, I hear frantic.
Let's draw a flag.
Oh no.
Wait, where did the substation go? Wait, were you in the bathroom?
He was getting ready to bring the.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
He's doing his job.
He's fine.
Shall we.
Oh, there it is.
Oh, look at that thing.
Oh, and it's a spooky wheel.
Ooh, pumpkin.
Zombie.
Mummies boy. Disco Dracula. Tater.
Tater.
He's a potato.
It's not complicated.
It's pretty simple. It looks a lot like the Mona Lisa.
There is a zipper on the front, Mike. Or on the back. If you need it. You know what I mean?
I wish the Mona Lisa had a zipper.
Yeah, you were having a hard time.
Yeah, it feels like the zipper is a real good call on these type of costumes. Oh, you get armholes too. This is easy. This is easy. You are. Mike is a potato.
I'm a potato. I told you. I've already got, well, you go to my camera.
Can we put the.
You can still see the.
Can you put the Fred Durst hat on the potato?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I feel like it works. There we go. That's the potato.
Come on. Oh, fully. I could see.
Okay. All right, we are into our lineups here. Let's start at the quarterback position. Let's start with the potato.
Oh, wait, wait. Hold on. I got.
Okay, let's start with the Richard Simmons.
All right. This is my Green Goblin. I'm going to go with Trevor Lawrence. More than 179 and a half passing yards.
That's low.
That is very low. It's a Green Goblin. And because it is me picking one of the easy Green Goblins.
We know how that works.
It will not happen.
I have a Green Goblin at quarterback as well. It's Joshua Allen. 224.5 passing plus rushing yards. I'm taking the more.
Okay. I have Dak Prescott against the Arizona Cardinals, but it's a little different. It's rushing yards. 9.5.
Okay.
Less.
Taking the last.
Oh, that makes so much more. I was so happy to hear that.
Dak has not been running. He's been getting beat up a little bit, I think.
I don't think you need to run against the Cardinals.
Yeah, I don't think you need to.
I was so happy to hear Dak's rush. I was like, he's not going to get it.
No, I know.
And then you tricked me.
Jason.
I'm spooky.
Let's go to running back.
Running back. I have Mr. Jalen Warren, who's been sensational.
He's been so good.
We've talked about, we think Pittsburgh's going to handle their business in this game. And if they do, 14 rushing attempts for Jalen Warren. I'm taking more. He's been getting more every game and should.
I have Devontae Williams in the Cardinal game. 17 and a half rushing attempts. I'm taking the more. I think he's been getting a ton of work. I think 17 and a half is reachable.
It's warming up in this potato.
Imagine being in this.
Well, imagine being in a big potato. I got Jalen Warren as well.
You look so dumb.
No, wait.
I mean, cool.
Thank you. I got Jalen Warren as well, but I went receiving yards. 23.5. We're going more.
Okay. Wide receivers.
Wide receivers. I'm going with Josh Downs. I think they highlight them. The matchup is.
Oh, man.
You're going narrative. The matchup is so easy. Come on, Josh Downs. Do something.
All right, just.
But he's Josh Downs.
Look at the previous eight weeks.
32 and a half receiving yards. Not much. You can do that on.
Oh, there goes my hat.
You know, on four receptions. I'm taking more.
So you got receiving yards, 32.5. You've been pretty good at hitting the ones that don't sound like they're going to hit to us.
Yeah.
But then they all work out like Malachi Fields. Zay Flowers.
I have Zay Flowers as well.
I wonder what we did here. I went 8.5 targets. I'm taking the more.
Oh, his targets, it was at eight and a half?
Easy.
Because I'm at receptions.
Yeah.
Six more.
Okay.
That'll be fine.
If you get yours, I'll probably get mine.
Yeah, I can't believe the differential.
I get mine. You'll probably get yours.
Any drop, any missed target, you're going to be like, ah, zip.
Zay Flowers, a drop, Jason. Don't be stupid. Tight ends.
Tight ends. I am going with Michael Mayer, who Halloween, 25 and a half receiving yards. He's been really involved. I'll go more than that.
Oh, I have the most boring, I mean, spooky tight end here. Daniel Bellinger.
What?
Do you know who he plays for?
No, I don't. Not the Giants?
He plays for the Tennessee Titans, gentlemen.
Okay.
I told you, this is going to be the one that you will laugh. Daniel Bellinger, 6.5 longest reception. I'm taking less.
That's my pick.
How many receptions a game is he getting? About one.
All right.
Now, if he doesn't get a reception.
Yeah, I win.
Then he wins. Yeah.
Oh, that's fantastic. My tight end is my Green Goblin. It is Brenton Strange. It is 14.5 receiving yards. More.
