Because let's be real, if you have a brilliant solution to a massive market problem, but you refuse to launch it because you are afraid of being judged, you aren't being humble.
You are being incredibly selfish. Let's break down why playing small is an insult to your potential. First, realize that your fear of judgment is entirely ego-driven. Too many 9-to-5 workers have a side hustle that could change their industry, but they won't post a video or make a pitch because they are terrified of looking stupid. That is a massive paradigm failure.
You are making it all about you. When you withhold a solution that could save a client's business, streamline an industry, or provide jobs for a community, you are stealing from the market to protect your own fragile feelings. Whether you are consulting or building software, your business is a vehicle for service. If you hide from the spotlight, you kill your ability to serve. Second, you have to shift your focus from your own insecurities to your client's absolute necessity.
People who build massive legacies do not care if they look silly on the internet. They care about getting the result for the end user. So instead of worrying about what your broke coworkers think of your marketing, obsess over the person whose life you are going to change. Make your mission infinitely larger than your ego. Lastly, when you step into the light and aggressively declare your value, the market rewards you with massive capital.
Supreme courage, radical empathy for the customer, and a complete disregard for the cheap seats create a legendary founder. When you stop hiding your gifts, you finally build the empire. Bottom line? Stop hoarding your potential in the dark. The world needs what you have to offer.
